Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, we're back. Circling back podcast. My name is Will DeFries live from Austin, Texas to my right. Dave, the D-Man Ruff. My name is Will DeFreeze, live from Austin, Texas. To my right, Dave, the D-Man Ruff. This is our third episode. They say that your third episode is when you really hit your stride, so I'm hoping this is going to deliver for the folks at home. You know, it seems like, it feels like deep down, we've recorded more than three episodes together historically. We haven't, though.
Starting point is 00:00:38 But it's just, this is episode three. It's exciting stuff. Episode number three. Yeah. Sounds like we matched that chemistry button pretty quickly. Dylan, what's gucci fam dave's really going hard on the mash he's mashing a lot of buttons well i mean i like it though speaking of mashing buttons yeah mash that subscribe button yeah slap it mash it sit on it the day that this hit it the day that this episode is live is also launch day. Launch day. Go to iTunes.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Go to Spotify. Go wherever. Mash that subscribe button. Also, make sure to rate, review, do everything. Write a review. These first days are so pivotal to our success. We don't want, we need your reviews. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Go do that. I want them as well. Also, on Twitter and Instagram, follow circling back pod. Simple as that. Near the end of last episode, I asked you to tell 1000 of your closest friends. Hopefully you've had, you've done like at least 200 of them at this point. Going from episode two to three,
Starting point is 00:01:35 you had time to knock out 200. If you also want to sign up and subscribe with us, like just to get like all of our content, go to circling back podcast.com. Oh, that's the URL. Cool. If you go there, you will see everywhere you can subscribe. You can sign up for our email list, which, you know, we got things on the horizon, not
Starting point is 00:01:54 to brag, not to boast. One thing that I want people to do is I want them to use one of those genealogy sites. There's a number of them out there. And I want them to find like a distant cousin that they've never actually met and i want them to make contact with this cousin and i want them to recommend this podcast to that person that's a fantastic idea go on it's called 69 and me there's a lot of legwork it's not what it's called a lot of legwork in that but well i think it'll have it'll it'll a increase our listeners listenership. B, bring family members together. And, you know, who knows?
Starting point is 00:02:27 You could have like a really hot third cousin. And then what? You can set them up with your boy. If you're here, you're probably wondering like, all right, when are we going to actually hear from Colton? Yeah. That's understandable. I mean, Colton is the bachelor currently. Dylan was supposed to be but colton bachelor cucked him which is fair
Starting point is 00:02:49 initial thoughts to meeting colton dude so dylan dylan's uh you know he's a bigger guy in shape colton towers over dylan he's a large man he's built like he gets a lot of shit for the practice squad NFL thing, which I don't think is completely fair. He's built like... He's built like he's in the NFL. He's built like he's an NFL linebacker, which is what he was.
Starting point is 00:03:15 And he's lean right now, too, as you'll find out. Yeah, he's lean. But his calves and his leg is just... It's stupid thick. He's stupid thick. Like, he's stupid thick. He's stupid thick. Like, he's dumb thick. He's a thick boy. He's dragging a wagon, too.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Yeah, he's dumb thick, like you said. I do need to issue an apology to Colton. If you've already listened to the Chris Harrison episode, you know that we got connected with Colton through the Callaway launch event for the Epic Flash Driver. People were just mulling around all day, hitting shots together, talking golf, talking whatever. I was standing behind Colton
Starting point is 00:03:46 when he was getting fitted for his driver, and I absolutely wronged him. I put a video up of him just whiffing the golf ball. I sat there for like 10 seconds during his setup, being like, all right, I'm going to get a really good video of Colton just mashing a drive. Yeah, to be fair, you expected him to mash the drive. So it's not like you were waiting for him to fail.
Starting point is 00:04:03 No, I wasn't trying to put him on blast. He set himself up for failure because he was swinging the shoes he was wearing. He was wearing some Reebok tannies. And they did not mix with the fresh dew on the grass. Nah. He was sliding all over the place. You'll see this in the video. It's a miracle he did not shoot a disc out.
Starting point is 00:04:21 It's surprising that the Goo Goo Dolls didn't come out and perform slide when he was hitting the ball. It's not a miracle. I don't even think they were there. They weren't there. It takes a long time to get all their equipment there. Yeah, they had to do sound check. Are they even still performing together?
Starting point is 00:04:33 It's hard to say. It's not a miracle. I mean, Paul Simon should have come out and done slip sliding away. We should also mention that Colton is very new to golf. Yeah. So it's fair.
Starting point is 00:04:46 We've all had moments like that. DMX could have came out and done slipping, falling, can't get up. Oh, oh. Again, I don't think he was in the area and ready to perform. I know I'm just saying hypothetically if we're going to do artists who could have performed at that moment. He told us, we talked to him quite a bit before because we were kind of waiting on another oh we're waiting on uh solly no laying up with sergio yeah so the callaway event had they had podcast studios set up for us to record so like people were just going in and out solly
Starting point is 00:05:17 from no laying up was recording with sergio garcia and when sergio came out like i don't even know what we expected. We were kind of like low key, like, man, do you think he remembers us? There's no way he did. I gave him a one up Sergio, like real low voice,
Starting point is 00:05:31 low energy and I couldn't look him in the eyes and he gave me a, hello. Oh, hello. What's up, dude? We ended up talking to Colton
Starting point is 00:05:39 for a long time. Glad to hear the pods back. Yeah. Bring back the forums. He ended up, Colton, we talked him in the this office area for like what felt like a long ass time like an hour it probably was more of like 20 minutes or so but he too had to hit the road right away so he confirmed our suspicions that chris harrison just is forcing golf on him because he needs somebody to go out and play with and uh he's signed up for multiple pro-am tournaments and stuff across the country.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And here's the deal. Oh, no. Most guys, they can hit a driver well, but the irons, it's the tough part. Watching Colton hit the driver, he needs a little work on that. If you go to these pro-ams, put your head on a swivel. I can't help but think that the irons are going to be a problem. But if you couldn't put
Starting point is 00:06:26 your arms down by your side, it might be hard for you to swing a driver too. That's true. His arms are just... He's got arms. He's jacked. He's jacked.
Starting point is 00:06:35 He also... I mean, we can't say any of these things. He gave us a list of things that he would prefer not to talk about and that he's not allowed to talk about.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Sure. Did we get any... Obviously, there are no spoilers. Did we get any spoilers? Not really. We know situationally. Dude, this guy's so locked down. He's had so much media training.
Starting point is 00:06:51 He wouldn't even give us spoilers before we started recording. We were trying to get info out of him. He's like, yo, I just can't. He did tell us. We were like, is there anything you just don't want to talk about? And he was just like, please just don't talk about the virgin thing. Yeah, which is fair. He's like, it's just the first thing people talk about.
Starting point is 00:07:05 And we're like, dog, we don't even care. I didn't even want to bring it up because it's so played out. I was like, Colton, we're all virgins too. Who cares? Yeah. We are. That's weird because you have a son. Yeah, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:07:16 But, you know. I had dinner with him last night. The immaculate. You were there too. It wasn't just me and the homie. Dude, the homie was tight last night. I would be really bummed if I found out that Dave was just babysitting the homie and you never asked me.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Well, I might be now that I've taught the homie how to do the perfect Owen Wilson wow. He taught the homie how to do the wow. He did it. I'll say this. I was really surprised one time that the homie knew my name. Yeah? It made me happy. He was yelling wow across the park.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Wow. Risk it all. He was playing with Paw Patrol toys and yelling wow in Chewy's last night. I think that's what he was doing. He's probably going to get old for you. Nah. Never, actually. Nah.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Should we present the Colton interview to those people at home who are tired of us talking about Owen Wilson? Yes. Without further ado, you know it's that boy, Colton Underwood, your bachelor. Let's hear from him. Okay, here we go with the bachelor Colton. Thank you for joining us, Colton. Thanks for having me on. Let's just get right to it. I know you know you're pressed for time. Gotta ask elephant in the room. Are you in ketosis right now? Can you use that in a sentence for me? Are you doing the keto diet? We notice outside of the taco bar that you went straight meat,
Starting point is 00:08:30 guacamole, black bean, no tortilla. What's going on these days with the diet? I have limited time right now to work out, so I figured to compensate for that I have to tighten my diet up. That's weird because you're an absolute unit right now. Yeah. You look pretty big. Yeah, right now my golf swing is suffering
Starting point is 00:08:47 because I've done too many bicep curls. I just sound like a meathead, but whatever. There's no such thing. What are you coming in at right now? What are you weighing right now? About 230, 225. Yeah, that's what we were going to guess, about 230. Speaking of your golf swing, I'm going to call out this guy here,
Starting point is 00:09:01 special guest Will DeFreeze. What's up? He posted an Instagram of your swing earlier. Yeah. Why don't you just show him what you – he did you wrong. He tagged you too. No, he didn't tag you. No, I didn't tag you because I didn't want to do you too wrong.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Because he didn't want him to see it. Thank God, dude. Well, people know who he is. We were out on the range, and I was kind of just chilling, and I was like, oh, I'm going to go record Colton's swing. And I think I got you in a really bad one. Yeah. Yeah, for those... Of all my swings, you got
Starting point is 00:09:30 the one. The one you're describing is Colton actually doesn't make contact with the ball. Is that correct? Why did you do our boy like that? We're trying to get in good with Colton. Now that we've interacted and met... But that is good. You know, hey, here's the thing that I've learned. That's me, though. That's true. I'll and showed, that's good. But that is good. You know, hey, here's the thing that I've learned.
Starting point is 00:09:45 That's me, though. That's true. I'll post that. That's authentic. This isn't the worst edit that you've ever gotten. Hey, here's the thing. Social media now, we just post all our highlights, right? Basically. I'm just trying to post who I am.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I got you on that video. You send me that, I'll post it. I got you. Done. That's real talk with Colton. Tell us how you got into golf and how you're out here with Callaway. So I've obviously I've grown up and my dad played golf and I've done it more as a social aspect but now I've been entered into what they call celebrity tournaments and
Starting point is 00:10:18 I just I don't want to like it's still myself I'm representing myself I want to do it right and then I'm a big believer in like, look good, feel good, play good. Yes. So I might as well look good and feel good holding a decent club. And then it's up to luck and chance. You get to cut back on the curls though.
Starting point is 00:10:33 If you want to take your game seriously, I have been, I've been just doing cardio, cardio and diet now. Yeah. Look at the Pilates too. Hot yoga works. I just,
Starting point is 00:10:40 I want to like, I have to get a little bit of a gut. So I got to have the pull, like the pullover pull-over look. Is it true that Chris Harrison just basically forces you to play golf with him so he has somebody? Yeah. He doesn't have a lot of friends, so he just has to stick with me.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Man, that's typical, man. I've noticed a lot of these Dallas guys. They just don't have any friends around. They're playing by themselves, whatnot. No, he's a good dude. I respect that. I heard he cherry-picked you just because he was like, I like Colton and I want him to be the next bachelor so I can play golf with him.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Chris just wanted to hang out with me for a few months, so he's like, hey, Colton's our next bachelor. That's why I hired him. Yeah. That's exactly why he picked me. He got hired because we saw his golf swing on Instagram. I'm like, that's dude play. That's not even a joke either.
Starting point is 00:11:14 That's how he got hired. Then I showed up and everyone's like, oh, this guy's not that good at golf. Real talk. Yeah. Real talk with us now. Speaking of that, you want to just go ahead and spoil the season? Tell us who won yeah if anybody yeah yeah no i hey this is what i'll say about the season is it's in my opinion
Starting point is 00:11:35 obviously and i don't mean this in an egotistical way i think it's going to be one of the best bachelor seasons ever um it's obviously it's going to be a phenomenal tv show but then also you know there's a lot of real raw vulnerable moments that you're going to see i'm not afraid to show my emotions i'm not afraid to be who i am um and we had a lot of fun filming it it was it's going to be a great show all right when this episode goes live yeah this episode the podcast one episode one of the bachelor will have aired yeah so you're allowed to talk about it a little bit what and we won't obviously we haven't seen it yet yeah what can we expect to see um well i i just wanted to see some creativity out of the women coming out of the limos because that's that's a fun part you know just seeing how creative they can get you know whether they fall on their face
Starting point is 00:12:17 or not i just wanted to see them own it um i'm a big connection guy so connection and chemistry is super important in a first impression for me so if if I feel it, like, it's good. There was drama on night one. Go figure. You know, I had somebody steal me four times. Yeah. You can't do that. She's never watched a show before, so she didn't really know.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Yeah. No one's doing that. Once again, though, like, I'm sitting here in my mind. I'm like, well, she knows what she wants and she's going for it. I can respect that. Like, that's awesome. I abide by the three-strike rule. And for her to go with the quad like one more, that's just egregious.
Starting point is 00:12:49 I love it. I do too. Can you remember what you did with Becca when you got out of the limo? Because I seem to remember you like form tackled her, right? Yeah, I just tackled her, took her to the ground. Yeah, wrapped her up. It was a clean tackle. Yeah, it was a clean tackle.
Starting point is 00:13:04 No, actually in that moment, I did black out. ground yeah um wrapped her up it was a clean tackle yeah it was a clean tackle um no i uh actually in that moment i did black out like i remember what i did obviously because i watched it back but it's a nerd like i remember it being super nerve-wracking and i've like i've come out of tunnels before i've played like i've played in bigger games and that was so nervous walking out of limo because it's so foreign it's so so new. They'll tell you to water it down. Oh, they hose it down? That's so dicey. Before I walked out, I actually took
Starting point is 00:13:32 a knife and shredded the bottom of my dress shoes so I had some grip. Really? That's pretty smart. Yeah, because those things are slick. That's what you do when you get new boots. With leather soles, you gotta go scuff them up on the pavement outside so you can get some traction. Are you just carrying a a Bowie knife?
Starting point is 00:13:45 What's going on? Just like a pocket knife. Hey, here's something. I'm a Midwest guy. Is the mansion okay? I mean, the fire is... Mansion's all good. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:52 It was the production offices that got hit. Okay. We're fortunate enough, yeah. Damn. Crazy. I remember there was like a storyline. Not that, you know, obviously it was a very serious situation out there. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:03 But people were concerned for the bachelor mansion. We didn't want the mansion to get got, man. No. It's iconic. I'm not ready to go to another mansion. Yeah. Right now on Twitter, the fake Australian girl is going very viral. Brie.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Yeah. Some might call that mega viral. Yeah. It's doing numbers. Yeah. Can you say how long into the show did does she keep the uh the accent going you know she actually she dropped it midway through our conversation right off the bat um and i respected it like it was funny it was clever is unique and for me i was like oh my gosh there's
Starting point is 00:14:33 so many languages already that i might have to remember um it was something unique for me to remember her by and super smart before we started recording i was like man she's really hot did i realize i might actually be talking about something you could have ended up with at this point, and that would be really awkward if I said that about someone you were with. I know you can't say if that's who you're with, but that kind of made me like, Dylan, you've got to shut up. You don't get on that show unless you're hot. Just saying. Yeah, but she seemed to be on a tier above.
Starting point is 00:14:58 See, and that's what people always ask me. They're like, why would you go on a show where you only have 30 women? It's like, well, they're tailored and they're fit to me. Like the producers know my personality, know who I want to engage with. So it's almost like Tinder. You get to just take the whole entire U.S. and funnel it into exactly what you're looking for. Well, I'm pulling for the Australian accent, girl. I got to say, as soon as the video started, I knew she was faking.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Because I know a lot of Australian people. She did not have a Foster's on her, a 24-ounce Foster's. It's Australian for beer. It's the official beer of Australia. Automatically done. What if she just kept it going and went to hometowns, and then all of a sudden you're like, oh, shit, we're going to Australia, and then you just show up in Wyoming or something.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Yeah. It would just be devastating. That would have been brutal. Did you get a chance to hit the epic flash today? I did. Yeah. Epic flash is unbelievable. I don't know where he got that video.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I think it's Photoshopped and stuff. Yeah, it was a practice swing. I was nailing them. Long, far, I mean, 400 yards. I saw you touch 400 once. Yeah yeah you didn't get it on film unfortunately no i know i was hitting in front of you and like you had you had a little bit of an audience and it kind of affected me so to anybody out there who saw me today and i was hitting some heel shots like yeah i was affected the bright lights of colton were kind of bleeding over let
Starting point is 00:16:19 me tell you what my swing magically got better when the cameras are around because you just fought you focus in you dial in just a little bit harder. That's all I need. I'm the opposite. You're a gamer. I nut up. I can't do it. You have to be.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Hey, I don't think people know about your shoulder. You showed us your shoulder injury before the show or before the podcast today. It's pretty gnarly. It's pretty gnarly, yeah. It's pretty nasty, huh? What happened? I got hit. So, actually, I started as a linebacker with the Chargers, went to the Raiders.
Starting point is 00:16:42 They switched me to tight end. Unfamiliar with that position. Training camp, literally first day of pads. I get blown up in the flats. Who was it? Who do you think it was? Raiders, 2017. Oh, Mack?
Starting point is 00:16:58 Yeah. Really? So at least I got hit by somebody. Yeah, you got hit. Right? Damn, that's a story right there. Yeah, so tore the ligaments off. Damn, I was going to run up on whoever did it.
Starting point is 00:17:06 It really affects my golf game. It's on site. Yeah, it's in an unfortunate location. Well, damn. Sorry. Yeah, I'm sorry too. Things are going well for you now though. It is, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:17 It's been a good transition. I'm sorry. You're doing fine. Yeah, you're still killing it. Things have been good. Here's a topical reference. You could probably walk out on the Cowboys right now. Not very deep at tight end.
Starting point is 00:17:28 You guys know what I'm talking about. Yeah, cool, man. I hate the Cowboys. Oh, I'm sorry. No, seriously. I know you got to get out of here soon. You got some other thing to do. What does?
Starting point is 00:17:39 Can we call out Dylan's lanyard? Have you ever seen a more bootleg-looking lanyard than this? What happened? What did you do? I'll tell you what happened. I was taking hacks in front of the track, man. I was touching like 130 with my club head speed, and I swung out of my lanyard.
Starting point is 00:17:53 No one's doing that except for me. So I had to bootleg it, but it's still operational. I will say, though, Dylan does like the most golf. Wow. The most golfy. Is that a word? Golfy? I think golfy is the appropriate term golfy i think golf is the appropriate
Starting point is 00:18:06 term you're welcome i got your back you know what's funny dylan's dylan actually he is flirted with the idea of going on to the the bachelorette yeah you've got the looks for it dude yeah well that's a compliment thank you because you know but yeah i don't know um i've flirted with i submitted an application and that and that's as far as it goes. Well, hey, let me know. Chris is right down there. Yeah. Chris is coming in here next, so I might just go straight to that.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Let's just audition this time. Yeah. Chris, we done. You would be the first Bachelor above the age of 40, which is interesting. This is an ongoing joke, Colton. I'm not actually over 40. Yeah. They like to joke with me.
Starting point is 00:18:44 You look like a damn snack if you are over 40, though. You should just claim it. I would like to think I look like that regardless of what age. Maybe like the Australian accent, you should just walk up and be like, hey, I'm 42. Just fake it. Just start faking it. See what they say. Just put them on the spot.
Starting point is 00:18:58 See, on this podcast, we just gas each other up. We just talk about how hot we look. We bring our guests on. I'm like, dude, you look like a live bat. Yeah, bro, dude, you look like a linebacker. I'm actually paying them to say nice things about me right now. Question that everybody wants to know. What's next for Colton in 2019? See, that's an interesting
Starting point is 00:19:13 question because I'm still trying to figure that out as well. The cool thing, I think it's not the cool thing, but since injuring my shoulder, I've sort of had this, hey, what am I going to do next? I've spent 17 years of my life playing football. I obviously had a blast filming bachelor at paradise, um, bachelor. So I want to stay sort of in the TV world, whether it's hosting, uh, broadcasting, I still have a sports background. Um, I did business management major in college. So,
Starting point is 00:19:40 um, I don't know what's next. I'm going to keep having fun. I'm gonna keep living my life. It's a, you know, it's a rollercoaster, but I'm having fun with it right now. Who's your team? Who's your NFL team? I'm pulling for the Chargers. Chargers, okay. And I'm a big Phillip Rivers guy, an awesome dude, unbelievable dude, does things the right way.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Okay. He might not be flashy. He might not be all over social media or anything like that, but he just does things. He's a pro's bro. He's a guy's guy. That's interesting to hear. He's got hella kids.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Interesting. Yeah. Talks a lot of shit, too, which I respect. He's a pro's bro. He's a guy's guy. That's interesting to hear. He's got hella kids. Interesting. Yeah. Talks a lot of shit, too, which I respect. He's a trash talker. Yeah. And, you know, it's all... He's a competitor, man. You want to know a fun fact? The two years that I played with him, I never heard him say a cuss word.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Really? No. Damn. I swear. I swear he's running more than Phillip Rivers does. He's just yelling non-cuss words. Yeah. Calling people just freaks and idiots.
Starting point is 00:20:23 He's like a PG guy. Yeah. Yeah, I can see that. We're Cowboys idiots. He's like a PG guy. Yeah. Yeah, I can see that. We're Cowboys fans. He's a Lions fan, so they didn't make the show, the playoffs. But who you got? Tomorrow, this will have already aired, but Cowboys Seahawks, who you got? You just want the predictions.
Starting point is 00:20:36 You got the Hawks? Yeah. That's fine. Oh, come on, man. I'm sorry. It's the known quantity. You got Russ. I get it.
Starting point is 00:20:41 I know. It's not even that. It's just the experience, too. That's the only thing I'm worried about with the Chargers is you cannot duplicate being there. That's why the Patriots have the success that they had. They've been in the playoffs. You look at their track record.
Starting point is 00:20:55 They've been there. They've gone through it. They've done it. When the game's on the line, when it's a big game, they know how to step up to the plate. Damn. I don't want to hear that right now. Do you ever wish you were still out there?
Starting point is 00:21:04 There's parts of the game I miss. There's Damn. I don't want to use it right now. Do you ever wish you were still out there? There's parts of the game I miss. There's parts that I don't. The teammates, the camaraderie, the off-the-field stuff I miss, getting my shoulder crushed and running into a dude full speed. Don't miss that at all. But, yeah, of course. Combine. What was your 40 time?
Starting point is 00:21:18 I ran a 4.68. Damn. That's fast. At 260. Linebacker. Yeah. 4.68. Yeah, I was flirting with 4'8
Starting point is 00:21:26 when I ran it a couple years ago. We were running it on grass, slow track. Dude, you ran it like a 5'5". Didn't you fall down? I was flirting with 5'. I would have pegged you as a 4'4 guy. You went 4'5". You know, a lot of people think that, too.
Starting point is 00:21:38 No. It's interesting. What was your vert? I would say 36 to 40. Yeah, it was flirting with Spud Webb territory. Yep. Pretty good. What was your vertical? I would say 36 to 40. Yeah, it was flirting with Spud Web territory. Pretty good. What was your vertical? 36.
Starting point is 00:21:49 I touched 31. Dude, you're Leighton Van Der Esch. I'm telling you. I touched 31. I can still grab room, though. No, you can't. He has a broken leg right now. This is video-approved, dog.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Dude, I don't think you can. I don't think – whatever. Anyway, Colton, do you need to get out of here? Yeah, he does. Tag your social media. Plug your social media. Sorry. It's at Colton on Twitter. need to get out of here? Yeah, he does. Tag your social media. Plug your social media. Sorry. It's at Colton on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Don't know how I scored that. Thank you, ABC. Dude, that's he on that. Dude, that's got Bachelor Tinker written all over it. Like, I literally have my first name. Thank you, ABC. Oh, by the way, I followed you right before you started recording. I'll follow you back.
Starting point is 00:22:19 I'd appreciate a follow back. That'd be great. I got your back. Look, I'm a Colton fan now, man. Thank you. This has been great. I didn't know what to expect. Tell them what you call them on that one episode.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Uh-oh, here we go. Here we go. The truth comes out. I will say this. I really think that this season everybody's going to get a better understanding of who I am as a person. Not that I need to prove anything or not that I need to do anything. You're starting the media trail with the right people right now. We'll gas you up.
Starting point is 00:22:42 He's just a straight shooter, man. I appreciate you guys. We're ground floor on Colton. on man thank you guys thanks so much for doing it for sure thanks cool colton what a down ass dude he was tight man i want to give him all the props in the world for sitting down with us entertaining our stupid questions and just being an all-around really nice guy he had to go too he had an event yeah that evening he had like he had a certified bachelor event that he had to be at much like chris harrison a lot cooler than i expected him to be he was cooler than i thought he'd be he was voted as your sneaky bitch of the week one time i don't think he was i think he was
Starting point is 00:23:14 i don't think he was i think i was pro colton the whole time i can say that i probably don't go back and pull the tape because there's not any because this is the first time we've ever done a podcast it's our third podcast it's not like we've ever recapped Bachelor. But I feel like I've been critical of him at times. But dude is just a nice guy. I almost feel like I would cringe
Starting point is 00:23:32 if I heard some of the things I might have said about him in the moment. Can I tell a story that you told us? You can't be that nice and that hot. It's a package that's unfair.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Here's the thing. He is. I know. The jawline on that guy. I got jail. Dude, what is going on there? I got jail. Can, what is going on there? I got Jill. Can I tell a story about, I may have told it on the first podcast.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Who cares? How he ended up stopping or getting out of football. Like his injury on his shoulder. Yeah, go ahead. I didn't know this. This is interesting. Camp for the Raiders. He was in camp.
Starting point is 00:24:04 A guy you may have heard of, Khalil Mack. We talked about this in the interview. We did. I know it's been a while, but yeah, we went over this. Oh, I didn't know if that was before. Oh, yeah. He goes, guess who it was, and I said Mack. He goes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Wow, man. Khalil Mack ended his career. I don't want to say ruined. He needs to play that up more. Yeah, why doesn't he? Yeah, he needs to do that. Arguably the best defensive player in the game. Top three.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Top three. Number one is definitely Aaron Donald. Darius Slay, for sure. What'd you say? Darius Slay. He's trying to make a Lions connection. It's not working. I was going to say Jeff Heath.
Starting point is 00:24:43 What should we do? Should we get out of here? It's time to get out, yeah to get out yeah no no no i want to hang out for a bit shouts again to callaway hashtag chad aj you guys took good care of us dude watch the driver goes can i give chad more props uh watching him do his thing him and aj so they're like i think they were in charge of like wrangling up all these influencers and you know golfers and whatnot and letting them do their thing. Watching them just go group to group, click to click, interact with the phone, get content, and just kind of direct the whole thing, that was impressive. They absolutely crushed it.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I have nothing. I mean, I didn't have anything bad to say before, but I have nothing but good things to say about Callaway and the job that they do, you know, linking up us with the product and other, you know, content creators with the stuff. It was truly awesome. The facility that they had that they brought us to was an incredible facility.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Yeah. Yeah. The only thing missing was the goo goo dolls. Why don't you? Everything else was there next year. Maybe bring third eye blind on board. Yeah. Yeah. If I could make one edit, I would have a band that has a song that has the word slide in the title.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Maybe. But as long as Colton's there and Chris Harrison. I don't know how they missed that. We're Gucci. You know what Chad told Dylan when he saw him swing? He said, I wish you would step back from that ball, my friend. He actually 100% said that. And then I got the best drive off of the event.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Can I actually talk about Sneaky, the coolest person that we met that entire trip? Brody? Bryce Butler. Oh, dude. Not even Sneaky. Don't get me started. What? He's my new best friend.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Where did that come from? Dude. He's a beast. The competitive nature in that guy, it's no wonder that he's a successful NFL athlete. He was like, hey, ylan like we met the night before dylan let's go let's go do uh closest to the pin i was like bright bryce butler yes i will do that he was seeking out people to yeah like we were just hanging out like hitting wedge shots and he was just like hey let's go to let's just go do close to the pin we did we did it like three
Starting point is 00:26:38 times and he's like oh let's just keep going like all right man we asked if we want to do a long drive and he was just like no no, I don't do that. I want to do close with the pick. He's a finesse guy. He got a private wedge lesson from Roger Cleveland. No one's doing that. No one's doing that. I think for a nominal fee
Starting point is 00:26:53 you can actually get. Oh, okay. Yeah, he's only been playing a couple years, but he's got the golf bug. He's in. If you follow him on Instagram. He's pretty obsessed with golf.
Starting point is 00:27:03 That's clear. Yeah, he's setting himself up well for post-football. But he's got another year in Miami. Party in the city where he is on. He's my favorite player currently. And I don't even like the Dolphins. When the Cowboys win the Super Bowl, I think he'll get a ring because he actually spent some time on the squad this year.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Love it. Which makes me happy. I want Bryce to get a ring. I do, too. Let's win it for Bryce. Also, Frisbee guy Bryce, or Brody. Brody Smith? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Hell of a dude. Big guy. Huge guy. Hits the P off the ball. I got a gram off last night at DeShivery, for those who don't know. Brody Smith is the one to my right but left in the frame, just towering over me. He's also a unit. He's a unit uh the final personnel shout out who we interacted with and met at this event was uh i
Starting point is 00:27:51 actually forget his name hole-in-one trick shots he's a trick shot guy from new jersey oh yeah first of all great guy second of all i started watching his videos he was doing trick shots like while we were just chilling over like drinking sampelli well it was just hitting different that day sampelli just hits different yeah all right should we get out of here yes let's reiterate what everything that people need to do subscribe to this podcast tell your friends follow at circling back podcast or sorry at circling back pod on twitter and on instagram go to uh circlingbackpodcast.com sign up do whatever leave a review find your hot third cousin and tell them about this podcast yes we're the weirdest move but yes do it see you guys later.
