Starting point is 00:00:04 Good morning. It's a circling back podcast. Welcome back to the show. My name is Dave. Thanks for being here. Thanks for tuning in. Thanks to everybody hitting us live on YouTube. Producing the show, Randall Chumbachy. Happy birthday, Dave. Thank you, Randy. Doing anything special? Going to get a special cake today or anything? Ooh, doubt it. Not a big cake on the birthday guy. Maybe I'll do dessert at the dinner, but probably won't be cake.
Starting point is 00:00:47 We don't know. I haven't looked at the menu yet. Where are you going? Or is that a segment for later? No, probably not. Intero. It's an Italian place that have followed on Instagram for like eight years and I've just never been. I've never heard of this place.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Yeah, it's pretty highly regarded, I guess. One of those places that it's just on the east side. Like, anytime you think you're going to go, you're like, nah, I don't want to go over there, but special occasion, I guess. Thank you, Randy. Old is doing. Stash is looking good. It's getting back. It's getting back.
Starting point is 00:01:18 It's still not, it's, you know, full glory, but we're getting there. How you feeling? Feeling good. Feeling ready to podcast. Oh, yeah? Do you see me dancing on the story? I think I'm ready to bust out smooth moves at any time. Dude was hitting that thing over there.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Oh, no, I haven't seen it. He was shaking that thing. Let me give you my live reaction. Here's a live reaction. We listened to Titty Boy earlier, weren't we, Randy? Yes, sir. We're going to. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:49 What do you think about that? Dave, what I'd do for you? You know, it's a, it's content. Now, that's what I call content, volume two. Dylan Shivery. Happy birthday also, Dave. Thanks. Gives me an excuse to use one of my favorite pictures of you, which is you and, I believe it's Nordstrom with the little, I know what you call that stupid little.
Starting point is 00:02:11 hat anyway happy birthday man yeah they don't have the hat section at nordstrom anymore that little uh they used to have a little cubby had all sorts of hats that i can't imagine anybody buying probably because the guy who picked out the the hats did a really shitty job yeah that's probably a big part of it honestly they realized it was kind of a sunken cost yeah uh big show today i have a major announcement later wow a major announcement the dillon show i'm really excited to talk about it's a major one. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 So stick around. We're going to make you earn it and stick around to the last segment. Oh, this is a major announcement. Just click to me. This is a major announcement. You just realize what the announcement is? No, I kind of, I realized, we'll talk about it later. We're replacing the announcement.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Ross. We're finally replacing you with Ross. No, I think I'll still be employed here moving forward. That's not what it is. To everybody watching right now on YouTube, shout out to you. You can watch it live, YouTube.com slash circling back. You can also watch the video after Randy uploads it on Spotify. Go watch it on Spotify.
Starting point is 00:03:26 After you're in there in the chat live on YouTube, go back and watch it on Spotify for context. That's what I said. Restaurant week coming up. Not this, not today. But next Tuesday Today on Patreon is circling back on touching base Oh man, every time.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Every time. I wish it was circling back on touching base. I wish we still did that. And we got some good ones. Randy, should we tell them or no? We got some mica bananas. That should be enough for to get you guys in the door. Baby backers have no clue.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Baby backers are in shambles. You've got to go to school. Bring your notepad, baby backers. The micabonanas is different from the Savannah bananas, by the way. These are different completely. Yeah, this predates Savannah Ball by some years. Is there actual jungle glizzies? That'll drop today on Patreon.
Starting point is 00:04:23 We always drop something on Tuesday. And then Friday on Patreon, we always drop listener voicemails. 877352-4-677. Leave us a message. They're coming in hot. Randy, I sent you something on Slack. Did it go through? Nope.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Are you serious? Love it. ever went through. Oh, yeah. It's just, oh, wait. Yeah, there it goes. There goes. I just had it. Oh, all right. A big shout out to Landry, a friend of the show, Luca Donthick on Twitter, posted this in the subreddit, pulled a Dave last night, and, uh, oh, my man's eating good. Zoom in on that. I really like what he's doing with the baked potato. As somebody who's back in on them, I spread that open. He just busted it open. He just busted it open. He busts that thing wide open. And God, that's a good, healthy, cut a beef.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I like what he's doing here. The brusseys, how do we think those are prepared? Which steamed to me. Yeah, it looks steamed to me as well. Kind of stunting on me a little bit because everybody knows I can't eat Brussels sprouts. It says it's a trigger food for my diver tick. I prefer them roasted, but. That looks good.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Looks really good. A little bit of wine. It's like he popped some grape as well. Yeah, you had to do it Monday night. Let's get some grape going. I'll just put on a text thread with. the guy we're talking about right now actually there we go could be welchers we don't know i like that large style shredded cheese as well it's um zoom in a little bit on the shredded cheese the thick great
Starting point is 00:05:50 cheese like what you're doing there bob good job landry good job why is everyone on the reddish no gut shot of the meat but that's okay yeah why is everyone on the reddit on their dave shit lately everyone's because everyone wants to be like fucking everyone wants to be like dave yeah i guess your birthday and all i don't want to you know but everyone people drinking red stripes people are just making nice meals for themselves oh yeah i haven't had a red striped you're a real influencer you wouldn't know it by looking at me but i do influence the males between um 30 and 45 david it's that three months stretch for we're the same age yeah man that three months stretch i hope you feel as good as i do because i feel great i feel pretty
Starting point is 00:06:34 good man yeah um i feel even better when i'm wearing my poncho Pancho Outdoors. Dylan's wearing his today. Which one is that? I don't know. I've had this for... It looks like the original to me. I've had this for like eight years.
Starting point is 00:06:46 I love this shirt. I've worn it for so long. It's held up incredibly well. It looks like the day I got it. It's a pearl snap. It's pretty lightweight, long sleeve. Yeah. I love this thing.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Pancho makes performance shirts for guys who actually go outside. I mowed the lawn in my poncho hoodie last night. True story. You got to keep the sun off you, dog. I keep the sun off me, throw the hood on, throw a... a bucket hat over it, throw the shades on, boom. You don't want to wake up on your 42nd birthday with a lawn that needs to be mowed. It's a good feeling starting it off. But anyway, Poncho, what I'm telling you is, it's just practical and it looks great. Might wear it to dinner tonight.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I've got my western light wash cut with the pearl snap. I believe it's their Western, or excuse me, it's the Marfa. The Marfa. The Marfa. The Marfa's a good choice. They feel better. It's a perfect little stretch to it. My most. comfortable shirt, fits perfectly. You're going to love them. Go check them out. Go check out their graphic teas. Check out their hats. They're awesome. Once you order one, you'll probably buy five more. Gear up for summer with poncho. Go to poncho outdoors.com slash steam. Enter your email to get $10 outdoors.com on your phone. C-O-O-O-O-O-Termost.com slash steam. Go there, drop in your email, get $10 off and free shipping. Once you try one, you'll get while we've got a closet full. Hey, another show announcement real quick,
Starting point is 00:08:06 impromptu. We posted a job posting at washmedia.com slash jobs, I believe is a URL. You can go find the link to it. But it's also on the socials. We've got a post there for a social media coordinator. You might think, like, what does that even mean? We're just looking for a real poster. Yeah. Like a real poster. Somebody who posts. Somebody who posts and does numbers. Someone who's in the weeds of social media knows the trends and what's popping. Male, female, doesn't matter to me. Just a dog, somebody in the trenches. Short, tall.
Starting point is 00:08:40 We don't really care. You'll notice that the application process is a little different than others. It's a little untraditional. You got to answer some questions. I hate the way you used. The look on your face. Untraditional. There's a vetting page, and you've got to answer some questions and let us know who you are.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Because sometimes when you post something, something like this, you'll get people who aren't even familiar with the company, people who aren't qualified, they'll just sling a resume over. Yeah. That's okay. You're trying to get a job. Market might be a little tough right now. But yeah, go do that.
Starting point is 00:09:15 If you're interested, this is a, this is not a hobby. This is a full-time gig. This isn't a fucking social club. No, it's not. Say no internship. It's a full-time job. Full-time job. Go check it out.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Apply. Okay. Okay. Okay. We haven't talked Jimithy yet. No. They're calling him himithy. How do you get that name?
Starting point is 00:09:36 Spanish people call him himithy. Oh, okay. Yeah. He has short spine syndrome. It's a raccoon with short spine syndrome. Play this video. He just kind of lurks around. What am I looking at?
Starting point is 00:09:56 You say it's like alien music. It's clearly a raccoon. Well, clearly, raccoon face, but that's barely a raccoon body. It's a ball. It's a ball with raccoon legs and a look, listen, is he a little bit creepy? Yeah. Is he mad cute also? Absolutely yes. Here's what I wonder. I wonder if he knows that he's different. Probably not, right? He's probably never seen a mirror. Um, right. Right. No. No. That's the way. But like, you think he knows like, man, I just, I don't move like these other,
Starting point is 00:10:33 guys do he's at a disadvantage but he survived uh beating the odds um i respect a hell out of jimmyth i'm glad someone caught it on camera because if you were tried to explain this to someone there's like no way people would believe you if i saw that in a while i'd be like what the fuck did we just see you know part of me thinks sciop or psychop you think everything is a sciop part of me is thinking this is this is in the vein of freddie the german um but i will say this yeah he's got short spine syndrome but uh showed a lot of these politicians in washington dc right that's good no spine syndrome more like spinal i test i tested that one in the meme team like last week it did okay i would like to floated the test balloons to see the reaction i would like to be under the
Starting point is 00:11:32 assumption that he doesn't know he's different in the other raccoon also don't know that he's different, so they don't treat him differently. Story coming in from Seattle, a raccoon with a short spine, but a big heart. Jimothy is everyone's favorite new raccoon. This is new... This is the news anchor Randy.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Raccoon with a short spine, but a huge little cock. A huge little cock. We're just watching him. He may be short, but he's all dick. He's... Look at that. Scamper. Scamper is a good.
Starting point is 00:12:07 That's a good one. He is scampering. Somebody needs to. I don't know. I mean, I don't know. What would you, if you're Jimithy, you don't really have emotions. Did you see? But would you rather live in the wild or survive long term in captivity?
Starting point is 00:12:23 Captivity sounds dope if you're like a short spine raccoon, I think. Because he's going to get a coyote, I fear. He's a sitting duck, right? Fox. Oh, he's a raccoon. Fox. Bobcat. Baccoons, do they climb trees?
Starting point is 00:12:37 Or just, or just climb trash cans? I think they're climbed trees. Yeah. I wonder Jim E.M.T. has trouble climbing. It's a good question. They're like, guys, what the fuck? I can't get up there. He needs to go to Dr. Bob out in Westlake, get an adjustment.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Yeah. Nice. Yeah, do the decompress machine. When I hurt my neck, I didn't tell you about it. I hurt my neck, like right before the WTI, like a week before, I made an appointment. And then it was better like two days later, so I canceled it. But I was kind of excited to go back to Dr. Bob. Nice.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Oh, he's the best. He is. Did you see the video of the raccoon that was, we got a bunch of rain last week, and there was a raccoon. A paddleboard? Yeah. It was in the lake and he was, I guess, struggling to swim. And some Jin Ziers on a paddle board saved him. It was pretty cute scene, actually.
Starting point is 00:13:31 They put him up on the paddle board and brought him ashore. Then he like he tucked in the guy's legs like to head from the rain. It was cute, man. It was cute. I love stories like that, dude. My favorite raccoon video is the one where he puts the cotton candy in the puddle and it just evaporates. And he just doesn't know what to do. There's a cotton candy.
Starting point is 00:13:52 So there's all this talk about this cotton candy place in the San Antonio Marriott Resort or whatever. So last night after dinner, we're walking down this, the cotton candy place. And I'm thinking like, oh, there's some guy with the silly hat making cotton candy. It's this machine that has a big window and you press some buttons, tell them what kind of cotton candy you want. And has a window that has this like the stick that it's on. And then it just whips up. It looks like a simulated spinny cloud known commonly as a tornado. And it is a machine that makes your cotton candy.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Wait, hold, hold on, hold. So there was no one there. It's unmanned. You had some clanker make a cotton candy for your kid. Yeah. And you're the guy talking about how clankers are taking jobs. Yeah, he took a... I'm going to tell him, no.
Starting point is 00:14:43 I wanted to because, you know, famously, it's about 250 grams of sugar right before bed for my child. There's the man out there. One am I going to be like, no, we're not doing that, but... We've got some steam Brussels sprouts in the room. It wasn't sugar-free cotton candy? No, I did make that joke. It is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Sizable line. got a couple of chuckles. I was like, they got a sugar-free option? So there's a man with a funny hat out there out of a job because you want to have some robot do his job? Yeah. He's going to have to find a new way. Yeah, he had to go home to his kids with his hat in his hands ringed out because it was raining. He's not speaking in terms of his family. Yeah, because he doesn't have a job anymore. You know who is, though, Aaron Rogers. Dude, you know what? Happy point. It was nice to see. Yeah. It's always good when families communicate and reconnect.
Starting point is 00:15:37 You know, Rogers, estranged from the family for a long time. Except for some families. Jordan was not a part of the pictures, though. No. Jordan Rogers, of course. Not sure what's up with that. Who's not going to read too much into it. Most known for being married to Jojo.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Jojo, yeah. Best, best thing he's ever done. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, she's all right. Jamper. Jimithy's a good name that is a little Jimothy isn't it
Starting point is 00:16:07 two shouts too well now it's gonna be sad when somebody finds him and like captures him like I got Jimothy you know some wanna be Paul brother streamer types you're like a fool of God I'm gonna take him
Starting point is 00:16:23 I picked him and took him leave Jimothy alone Holland's gonna come back and taxidize him Is that how Is that what taxidermy's Vowal would be Or not Vah Hold on.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Hold on. Verb. Oh, oh, happy birthday to Harlem. Oh, yeah, you guys,
Starting point is 00:16:39 oh, that's right. Yeah. I don't know. Is taxidizing the verb for creating taxidermy? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Randy, what you said sounded so wrong, but I don't know. It might be right. Look it up. Taxidize. I didn't get a...
Starting point is 00:16:59 Taxidermied. Is taxidermied? That somehow sounds worse. I, I typed it in on, I didn't get the red squiggly's underneath the word. Oh. Maybe it's a real word. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Everything's a real, real word when I say it, at least to me. Seems like they're taxidizing all the money I give them every month. Sending it overseas. Spending it in on woke. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Spending it on. I got taxidized at a damn European sandwich shop.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Yeah, man. They got me that 1% taxidels. Taxidaz. Yeah, they're tipping culture and bullshit. Got these animals with small spines. Could have taken it out there for less, but... I'll tell you what, these, I'll tell you what, some of these politicians, they probably want to spend our tax dollars studying this thing.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Probably make it transgender. Yeah. Yeah. Transpinal. They should give it some peptides. It was some peptides and some HGAs. I think this is just the final form of this creature. Can you imagine Jimothy, like, rabid?
Starting point is 00:18:13 He would be the Tasmanian devil. Maybe give him one of those. I don't think he can talk. He's definitely not rapping. You know, those leg lengthening surgeries? One of they can do that on the spine. Weren't you going to get that on your third leg? My penis?
Starting point is 00:18:29 Dude. Yeah. Yeah, they'd probably throw some money at that, wouldn't they study your little penis? All that U.S. aid money went to. your little penis right yeah right not anymore you got doge your little penis got doged okay you happy now blue hair they shut doge down don't show us your haircut stop with the hair cut is that why you're wearing a hat because you dyed your hair blue yes i died my hair blue yeah yeah randy nose oh oh you at that protest dyed your hair blue jimithy
Starting point is 00:19:10 Oh, boy. Oh, well. Wish him well. Yeah. Or her. It's a him, I guess. I don't know. We don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:19 It doesn't matter. Can't see his little ding-dong from here. Trying to study it, just like Dylans. Show us your piece, brother, Jimithee. Y'all want to see my peace. Are you going to see? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Yeah. It's so stupid. Is there not any other video of this thing? I mean, there are a real video. But this pretty much. There's not like one of it like sewing. Pretty much tells the story. There is a video thing with other.
Starting point is 00:19:48 There's a baby one. Is that baby Jimenezi? It's either a different one. That's a, that's freaking adorable. Look at it. I prefer the little spine ones. Oh, he's having trouble staying on that fence.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah. I remember my dad had a raccoon under his workbench in the garage one time. I'm gonna get it out. I don't know how he got it out. I need to ask him. That was when I was like six. Kind of looks like a furbid. I think it was fucking mean, too.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Bobby Bones tells a story of this is when he lived in Austin. He lived in Circle C. And he was in his kitchen, like at the sink doing something. And he felt his dog brush against his leg. He's like, that's weird. That dog doesn't typically do that. Turned around and it was a possum that had gotten into the house. Sheesh.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Can you imagine? I would be so freaked out that happened to me. Oh. How does a possum get in your house? Maybe they had a dog door. I don't know. I went to the doctors like on campus
Starting point is 00:20:48 and I was on the seventh floor just looking out of the window and there's a little courtyard down there and there was this guy just on his lunch break had his laptop clearly eating and I saw this raccoon middle of the day just like walking up to him and I'm like I'm on the seventh floor
Starting point is 00:21:02 and these windows don't open there's nothing I can do here but just watch and then like it got up like right to his foot and like the guy looked down and just like jumped up and just like started like shooting it off but it was just very funny I'm like, there's nothing I can do here.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Can't warn him. I'm just going to watch to see what happens. You can have all my snacks. I hope it's not like rabid, but it didn't bite him. That is kind of a brave thing to the paddleboarders did. Because you get a raccoon on your, a scared raccoon on your paddleboard. Right. I'm not trying to get scratched up.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I know. Especially from a potentially rabid one. He was, he looked very thankful. I wonder how they like parted. I think they hug. gave him a little raccoon kiss and sent him on his way. I'm probably not kissing it. No, I don't think they actually did that.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I was just joking. Okay, good. Yeah. Because that would be a little bit much. Right. Did that guy just hero his way into some pee? Probably. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Shot to him. Probably. Hey, it's a raccoon guy. Dude, I saw what you did, man. He hit Rainy that night for sure. You would know. Because I'm the Rainy Ripper. Is that why?
Starting point is 00:22:16 Yeah, you were waiting for him. to rip them. I didn't. You're the Rainy Street Ripper, but you don't actually kill people. You just rip them for something. Hey, dude, you parked like shit over there. Are you serious with this parking job? That fit is trash.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Dude. Excuse me? Did you really only tip 10% on your tab? No, dude, fuck this guy. You're just ripping people. I'm actually the Rainy Street tipper. I just tip really well on Rainy Street. And you tip over fucking bird scooters.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I tip like 30% when I'm down there. What a bad bit that. there's no payoff i mean i guess they're them yeah for them yeah pay off of their uh their student loans i told you about that guy that on east six that just was tipping over all the the lime scooters and told his that's an active civil disobedience that i'm rocking with he was like a just like a guy in his like young 20s with his like girlfriend or on date he was like oh i love doing this at the end of the night every time like every night and then like pushed over a bunch of a scumback that guy went home and had some serious what a scumback he was such a scumb I'm this like i'm this like
Starting point is 00:23:17 I was sitting there waiting for my Uber, just like, I wish some, at least one person was here with me so I could be like, you saw that, right? You heard that. I love doing this. Some guy in like a leather vest comes up, Hey, who tip my scooter? Who's the dead man who tip my lime scooters?
Starting point is 00:23:35 So this is like a lime scooter gang that's inside the bar, just hammering whiskey shots. Yeah. The lime partiers. Yeah. That's their lime gang. I would point that guy out so, So fast.
Starting point is 00:23:47 I'm going to say he says he does it every night. Who tipped him? That's really stupid. Somebody's in for a real beating. That's really dumb. Okay. Hey, hey, stop that Uber. You're fucking dead, dude.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Wow. Lime scooters. I thought we got rid of those. Oh, dude. But definitely still around. Yeah. They're still so fond. There's a lot of talk about like the city council.
Starting point is 00:24:17 getting rid of those, but as usual, they don't have a spine. It's been a couple of years since I've been all on it. They're fun, man. I mean, maybe they have a spine, but it's certainly a short one. It's a short spine. Yeah. Huge cock, though. Sure, obviously. Huge little cock, though. Huge little. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Better Helps, 2026 State of Stigma Report is here.
Starting point is 00:24:44 We talk about mental health more openly now, okay? But asking for help can still feel hard. but better helps latest research. It confirms it. The report surveyed 2,000 Americans and revealed that 85% of Americans believe that getting support is wise. Yet 74% say society discourages people from doing so. That gap between believing in mental health support and actually seeking it and what we can do as a society needs to be closed. Frankly, it's a little bit troubling, Dylan. I totally agree. Starting point is 00:26:16 and then there's, what the fuck is this guy? There's backer of the week, put differently. I don't know what this is about. Someone that has caught our eye for not the greatest reasons. Get a load of this guy. Get a load of this guy's this segment. Email sent 10.01 a.m.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Oh. I'll leave his name out of it. Gentlemen. I'm not going to read an unlocking tone. He may mean well. Gentlemen. It gives me great. pleasure to let you know I'll be attending the Monday practice round at next year's
Starting point is 00:26:55 master's tournament. How do you like that apostrophe usage there, D-Boss? I think that's you. Yeah, that's probably me. Just curious if we've got any other backers that will be attending, especially if it's their first time, like it will be for me. Related, crowdsourcing my it could be fun, a fun bit, fogs. Oh, yeah, dude, look at this fucking guy.
Starting point is 00:27:12 I just want to let everybody know, I'm going to the master's. Yeah. This is something we just rip on one of our listeners. The Rainy Street Rippers here. Now I'm going to read it like I in at least possible good light for this guy. I also have a question here. He said, how do you like that apostrophe usage? He used the apostrophe wrong correctly or correct because he made it seem like years was plural.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Well, which apostrophe? Next. Yeah. Okay. Did he do it on purpose? I can't tell if he did it on purpose or not. He used it incorrectly. So if he was doing it incorrectly on purpose to make Dylan mad, congrats.
Starting point is 00:27:52 But if you were trying to be like it. Did he use it incorrectly and then try to like stonk by bail? Yeah, how about that, huh? Like you got it wrong, dude. No. Just curious if we've got any other backers that will be attending, you know, because I will be attending. Does he want us to put a call out for all backers attending the matches?
Starting point is 00:28:10 Hey, yeah. We're going to do a listener meetup, but we won't be there because we didn't get tickets this year. Yeah, meet at the 16th Green on Friday. Yeah. We're all going to be there. Jerk. Get a load of this guy. Get a load of this guy.
Starting point is 00:28:26 I want to fight this guy. Hey, and do with this what you may, Missouri alum in his sig. Classic. Classic. He didn't learn apostrophies at journalism school. I'll tell you that. It's Y-E-A-R-apostrophe. You just got randed and ripped by the Rainy Street Ripper.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Who is that great? that you were telling me about, the Rainy Street gripper? That's a dirty joke, Dave. No, you said that she was on a lime scooter and she was gripping it so tightly that it like wobbled and she fell and broke her ankle. I definitely told you that. Okay, I remember that story. No, you kind of thought it was fun.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Yeah, she was overgripping on this, on a lime scooter. Then the line scooter gang came out and all laughed and like, oh, listen to your, Tuts, we'll teach you how to ride. That's how it went. You got a long way to go before you join up with us. The lime. What are they, what do we call? The lime lights.
Starting point is 00:29:24 The lime lights. No, the lime partiers. The lime partiers. It's like lemon party, but it's line. Yeah, you've seen lemon party that's like that only with limes and the rainy street gripper? You're disgusting, dude. You're the one who's fucking used to tell that story.
Starting point is 00:29:39 I don't ever ever tell them that story. To be fair, to be fair, it was some time ago. This is at least three years ago. Okay. Yeah. I definitely told you that. what's your deal man wasn't just me
Starting point is 00:29:49 you had a captive audience of many people it was actually at a TED talk you did that at a TED talk Dylan I thought I thought it would get a few laughs didn't go over well anyway I thought
Starting point is 00:30:05 I honestly when I started to read this I was like oh is this guy offering up some tickets no I just seen like if you want to like put this out there he didn't even ask if we were going to be You can't say, he knew we didn't start an email with. It gives me great pleasure too. And then just, this is just my pleasure. It's no one else's. Hey, do the right thing. Take us. We did get our rejection emails, by the way. I actually got mine today. I got mine this morning. I'm going to sign up one year
Starting point is 00:30:37 and I'm going to win it. You need to do it just because there's no harm in not doing it. What kind of corporate job do you have to have where you get tickets? Like, who do I have to work for? Like, I'll go apply to them. A grandax. No. Oh, well. Yeah, that's right. Dylan got to go famously.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I did. We did listen to that audio circling back on touching bass in a previous episode. So if you're not a patron, you want to go back and listen to Dylan breaking the news to Will and Dave and how they weren't too happy about it. Go back and listen to the archives. I think, I think they won't be doing another Natty lighthouse. Throughout my friendship with Dave over the years. I think he's wanted to fight me maybe a couple times. That was certainly one of them.
Starting point is 00:31:21 No, I really didn't want to fight you. I found you to be annoying in that day, but I didn't, I didn't, wasn't mad. I was like, okay, this, I was like, okay, this, whatever, I had my thoughts that most of all keep to myself, but I was like, hmm. Classic Grand X. Didn't even get to go sit on the Natty Light Throne with Smiley. I can still hear your initial response. You just go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:46 fuck that's what you said fuck do it fuck fuck quit swearing david you potty mouth yeah i don't know you're 42 clean it up you're right that's why i'm gonna go apply at oracle or wherever i can get me
Starting point is 00:32:06 master just is like yeah we got master's tickets we you guys don't go every year oh i go just go you should go you just gotta be like a VP okay i'm gonna go apply to be a VP at corporate corporation LLC. Why don't you just win it? That's how you get invited back every year.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I know, I'm not quite, I can't qualify. I got a long way to go out. Dang. It's too late for this, like next year's. Actually, I'd have to get my tour card. I'd have to get some points. Yeah, it's just not happening this year. You have to get your game up quite a bit.
Starting point is 00:32:40 No offense. They wouldn't be giving me pops. They don't give you pops. No, you don't get pops at the Masters. It's too bad. No, look, look. If you're going to be at the Masters, you want to hang out with our guy here, just let us know. It will connect you.
Starting point is 00:32:53 I know. I really want this to happen. I want a picture of this guy. I want a six-person meet up. Six-person meet up at the Masters. They closed the Hooters, I believe. Yeah. So I don't know where you'd have to go to the Texas Roadhouse that Will and his mom had a.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Oh, I want to meet up inside the ropes, man. I want it. But we can't document that unless they bring like a film. On Monday, you can. Film camera. Yeah, a Monday you can. Okay. I want a film camera pick of you and.
Starting point is 00:33:17 four other backers. Holding up the $4.00 beer. Generic eating extremely cheap something or other. Yeah. Should we respond to this guy? It's my suggested reply from AI, it says, that's sick.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Congrats. Not sure about the Masters yet. I'm responding. What is yours suggested say? I just responded, so it cleared that option. I'm serious. Like this is clearly like taking from my previous responses. That's something I would say. Dude, that's so sick.
Starting point is 00:33:53 We're all so happy for you. Dude, that's badass, dude. You'll have to tell us all about it. That's awesome, man. I got to check my schedule for that Monday, but I'm interested in the itinerary idea. That sucks. Wait, that's exactly. Will you send that to him, please?
Starting point is 00:34:09 Okay, I'm going to give him that. I'm going to do my AI response to. Let's just do AI responses to everybody. Yeah, he said it said Dave, Dylan, and I. Yeah, AI is not picking up on the context here that we're not fighting. Yeah, we may not be going. In fact, we're not. I hate this guy, man.
Starting point is 00:34:33 All right, Dave responded. That's sick. Congrats. Not sure about the Masters yet. Yeah, not sure about that. So good. Okay, there's Randy's response. That's awesome, man.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Did you check my schedule for that money, but I'm interested in the itinerary idea? Did you reply, Dylan? The itinerary idea. I did before you guys. I just said listen to today's episode. Oh, that's great. You feel like, man, these are really excited for me. Oh, man, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Let's get a rock. Maybe one of them will be there. Now, I listen to the show today, but. Oh, God. That's a good bit, dude. This podcast is sponsored by Squarespace. Starting point is 00:35:53 website or domain check out squarespace uh i think dylan was high last night scrolling twitter and found a little something sent it to slack and forgot he sent it uh i wasn't high but this has been getting a lot of play on the t yeah i thought it might be a good a good talking pgp s article yeah here it is read this in your most millennial voice drinking up to five cups of coffee a day is safe for most adults in regular coffee consumption may be linked to a lower risk of stroke, diabetes, and heart failure. Why are you from Delco? According to a new scientific statement from the American Heart Association.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Okay. Okay. That's a new character, certainly. Yeah, that was a little Elizabeth Holmes in there. Yeah, yeah, you're right. I'm going to do Today Show or Good Morning America guest doctor who, like, has a Kush gig and who's kind of hot. and like they bring in to like talk about stuff like so specific okay okay drinking up to five cups of coffee a day is safe for most adults and regular coffee consumption may be linked to a lower
Starting point is 00:37:08 risk of stroke diabetes and heart failure according to a new scientific statement from the American Heart Association what good what voice is Randy going to read it in what's a scientific statement let's see if I can get through it scientific statement hold on just sounds like something we would have put in a PGP headline. A scientific statement. Yeah. Drinking up to five cups of coffee a day is safe for most adults. And regular coffee consumption may be linked to a lower risk of stroke.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Diabetes and heart failure according to new scientific statement. You're going, keep going. From the American Heart Association. Who's this for? It's for you? Your family? Oh, okay. He's doing Tucker.
Starting point is 00:37:48 He went into Tucker. I thought you were doing like a guy born in Ireland who's lived here long enough to lose most of the accent, but not all of it. Who's drinking coffee? Is it you? So now they're saying that caffeine is good for us. Which one is it? I feel like there's a new study that comes out every just couple months.
Starting point is 00:38:08 It totally defies conventional wisdom up to that point. To be fair, their definition of a, like when they say a cup of coffee, it's like eight ounces. It's like 85 milligrams of caffeine. So it's not like the shit we're drinking here. Okay. when we did the coffee segment the other day or the caffeine one. With Brett?
Starting point is 00:38:29 Yeah. Or when I wrote my thing, I learned that 8 ounces is 95 milligrams of caffeine. So you're right. They're talking about like an 8 ounce cup. So 8 times 5, 40 ounces a day, which is still a lot. This is exciting for me.
Starting point is 00:38:50 I love coffee. American Heart Association. Who used to be a bashing of information has not been bought up about the Folgers Corporation apparently. Okay. Yeah, is this big coffee just doing some under the table fun transfer here?
Starting point is 00:39:07 It does not address the side effect of mud butt. I don't get that anymore. Shotgun blast in the back of that thing. It's real time. The first couple years of drinking coffee that it went right through me, but not anymore, man.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Does this still get you? No, not like that. It is a, I will say, I'll give it a little, you know, I'm 42 now. It's definitely a, it definitely induces something. It's definitely like a, oh. Yeah. Like, you know, well, you might not want to hop in the car. You might not want to go on a long hike for, you know.
Starting point is 00:39:45 You might have to get airlifted out like that one lady. Yves. Yeah, see this? She got air lifted out. I saw that. The most humiliating air lyeye. airlifting of all time. Would you rather get airlifted out for being on the hike and having explosive deary
Starting point is 00:40:02 or the lady who had to get medevaced out for a rope swing rope that got caught in a spot you don't want it to? I would rather get medevaced out for a rope going up my vagina. If that's what you're asking, yeah. Both of those things are on the timeline. We're very online, so you don't have to be. If you were thinking about replying to our job posting, you're not aware of at least one of those things. You're probably not online or not.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Yeah, take a hike, dude. Unless you've got diarrhea, then don't. That's not a good thing. Keep deep fakes out of hiking. New scientific statement says, this Maxwell house is a Maxwell home. The best part of waking up is two girls and one come. Just every morning? not a good way to start your day. That's the worst way to start your day. Yeah. Well, this is exciting.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Yeah, I just, I mean, reality is after like two cups, I'm not going to feel it anymore. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's a, there's a plateau, and then you're just drinking it, and you just, you feel your heart rate up. And you're like, I wish I hadn't had that fourth cup of coffee. I do just love drinking coffee, though, man. This is, I'm going to, yeah. I'm like, I might have one for lunch after I have my lunch. And I go get one. How about that? Damn, dude, you're really him. I might pick you up some coffee if you want it. Would you like some?
Starting point is 00:41:34 Hey, how about this epic response, Dave? Every coffee study is just scientists trying to justify the labs espresso machine budget. And honestly, I support the work. Yeah. You know what? I'm here for it. Yes, please. Johnny Deep 408, that was a sick response.
Starting point is 00:41:55 You win the internet today. Please tell me that someone didn't actually say that. Yeah. That's, oh, can you see, it's right here? No, I know, but did someone say that? Oh, no. Okay, that was a fake one. That was me.
Starting point is 00:42:08 That was me saying that. I saw that this person had two replies to the... Keep scrolling down and see some more comments also. I do think... Hmm. Someone's pointing out that you can't just load it with sugar, which should go without... I think by now, by now most people should know that. Normal people. Water.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Me, I'm all coffee. I'm just filled up with coffee. Yeah. Oh. My blood is like 90% coffee. How many ultra red, white, and blue-rass monsters is that? Good question. Is it just a caffeine?
Starting point is 00:42:41 Yeah, it's coffee. Yeah, I don't think monsters, it's good. Look up the Welch's ghost. The Welch's ghost? Yeah. On the Twitter? Epic gift there. On the Google.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Looks like someone looked me up recently. Oh, yeah. we were doing a search for biggest dip shit this is oh like that okay the energy drink I bring this up because I got home from work yesterday and Alyssa my wife had picked up the groceries from H.E.B.
Starting point is 00:43:17 For some reason I thought Welch's ghost was some like video of like a great ghost. No. You're talking about ghost the energy drink. Yeah so I got home and she's like hey I just picked up the groceries. She hands me something. She goes, do you want this?
Starting point is 00:43:32 I'm like, and I'm like, what the hell is that? It's a Welch's ghost. She's like, they're handing them out to the cars waiting for grocery pickup at HGB. I was like, I'll put it in the fridge, but I'm going to tell you right now, I don't want this. I mean, Ghost goes hard with collapse. These are super popular. Yeah. I see them everywhere.
Starting point is 00:43:53 I do too. It looks like something that would make me incredibly jittery. It looks like it just filled with poison. But I think they're somewhat on the healthy side, right? I don't know. We have Sour Patch. Not sure about that. There's a lot of ingredients.
Starting point is 00:44:08 I'll tell you that. Judging by the people in the gym I see bring these in all the time, I just feel like they're not filled with crap. But I used to date a guy, and I swear he probably drank a lot of ghosts. Because what he did to Matt. Right. I'm sorry. That happened to you.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Bradcombe, Tao. I'd rather be Bradcombe. He spranko. I'd rather hit my lace brat around me. Yeah. Then he's then I know that he's like somewhat interested still. It's fine. We're still friends.
Starting point is 00:44:36 I'm not in his, I'm not in his close friends though. He's in mine. I was going to get, I was going to finally put out for him too. I don't like that. What? Hitch your spine syndrome.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Dan is a guy to ask about this. He loves ghost. Does he? Oh, yeah. He can have my Welch's ghost. Did you look at the nutritional facts? Did you yuck at it? I looked at the scientific statement.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Okay. No, good call. I should have yuck at it. We need to be yucking more. If anyone should be drinking Welch's, it's that guy over there. Chee-Chi still yucking pretty routinely. Welch's ghost. Sorry, I'm going to look.
Starting point is 00:45:21 I just did it real generic. While they are sugar-free and contain no calories, they're heavily processed stimulants loaded with two or milligrams of caffeine and artificial sweeteners. Yeah, this looks like the stuff, if you drink like one every day, you would get some sort of, I don't know, ulcer and then it would probably just roast your butt. I think this is just like any other energy drink these days. It's just it has aggressive branding that makes you, it gives off unhealthy. Bloom's don't have that bullshit in it, though. Yeah, the green tea extract. And guys, we are not doctors and we are not sponsored by Bloom.
Starting point is 00:45:57 We just desperately want to be. Yes. And Kay, we're just, going to glaze them until they just at least drop off a case here i mean yeah they're an austin company we have we don't have a lot of room for them in our bridge whenever i ever asked uh bret to like send an email to them or anyone it's like he just scoffs i'm like okay i love that dynamic we have that randy finds a brand it's my favorite thing and he's like man we should be sponsored by them we're like yeah that'd be cool and randy's like brett reach out to him brett's like all right thanks for tell me how to do my job randy is that is what he wants to say probably get bread in here right now get bread in here but you got you got to tell him that we should reach out to ghost say say there's a
Starting point is 00:46:37 seg note yeah but wait till he gets in here Brett hates this he does hate it he's like okay he's gonna turn around and walk out just two minutes he doesn't all right well let's just let's just shit on him then okay he's he's too busy for yeah yeah too too busy to do you do busy to do two minutes on the show. Yeah, I don't know. I probably won't be drinking this. I guess I'll just, I'll bring it up here. Somebody will drink it.
Starting point is 00:47:12 You won't drink it, Randy. I'll drink it. I want to try one. The problem is, I'm not a Welch's guy. That's not the ghost collab I want to try. I used to fuck with Welch's. I love sparkling grape juice. So good.
Starting point is 00:47:27 He used to love it as a kid. It made me feel like I was drinking champagne with the adults. And then I started drinking champagne with adults. someone I think the grape juice was better how old were you when I started drinking grape juice with the adult but champagne uh 21 like a good little lad you would did this you would did this you would did his island like a good little man with the adults no no no no no no that's fucked up to yeah it is we shouldn't i joked about that yeah that's someone does point out that i famously lost
Starting point is 00:47:54 my mind when brett suggested a cold intro so if he's going to tell me how to do my job i can tell him how to do his job yeah I'll tell you what man I'll tell you what man I'll never tell Lisa matches is how to do their job because they're doing it just just perfectly they're killing it man yeah because i slept on one uh last night and i felt great this morning i said i've been sleeping i sleeping i one for like 10 years so have i slept on my uh my legend cooling hybrid mattress mattress it was i i'm obsessed with this thing i really am yeah you should be lisa has a lineup of beautifully crafted mattresses tailored to how you sleep Each mattress is designed with specific sleep positions and field preferences in mind.

You made it this far. You get to hear Dylan's big announcement.
Starting point is 00:49:26 A little bit nervous right now to deliver this announcement. You're getting it bleached? No, I'm not. This is a major one. Any guesses? Any guesses? I do have, I think, an accurate guess, but I'm not going to know. Yeah, the boys know.
Starting point is 00:49:41 The boys have known for, I guess, several weeks now. Is Chechay going out with the girls and you're going to cook a steak, post a picture of it? Yeah. Hell yeah. No, I had to fill you guys in on this fairly early on because she was having a rough time. My wife, Chelsea, that is. Because she's pregnant. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Whoa! Sound effects. Actually, I do actually have an applause. Let's hear it. Oh, man. He didn't have it ready. Yeah, sorry. All right.
Starting point is 00:50:16 They like that. There's a little bit of a delay before the live studio audience. Man, that's awesome. We decided, middle to end of last year, actually, that we were going to go for it. And we had yet to get married, obviously. So got engaged.
Starting point is 00:50:31 And then we had a, our wedding was March 27th. We went to Cabo for our honeymoon. We got back and we started to, we started trying immediately when we got back. And it happened like that. So, yeah. Happens to the best of us, dude. Yeah, it happened immediately. And I was, I was in disbelief because we did the pregnancy test, the first one.
Starting point is 00:50:55 And it was like a really faint line. I was like, Chelsea, don't get your hopes up yet. I'm not sure. This is actually, you know, a positive test. and she kept testing like every day and then it just kept getting darker and darker, like you're definitely pregnant. So this was very much intentional for those who are wandering. We very much intended to have a baby.
Starting point is 00:51:17 Can confirm. She is about 14 weeks now. So we have entered the second trimester and we did the genetic and gender testing. It's a blood test. We did it last Friday. So this was, gosh, I don't know, 11 days ago by now. And or 10 days ago, whatever it is. Let's save the second announcement for a different show.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Let's drag it out. So we finally got the results back yesterday afternoon. I was here in the office. She called me. She's like, Dylan, we got him. We got in. So what we did, we had Susie Cakes, which is our favorite cake place in Austin on standby. They've been waiting for this.
Starting point is 00:51:59 We've been talking to him for like a week now. So we did four cupcakes. We weren't going to do like a big gender reveal party. It's not really our style. So we had four cupcakes and they called my sister, actually. She was the first one to know. So they told her the gender. And then Haley called the cake place.
Starting point is 00:52:16 And they filled one of the four cupcakes with icing. And so we did a little video. Probably won't post the video at any point or she might want to. I don't know. We'll see. We did a video. We each bit into a cupcake at once. The first ones were no icing.
Starting point is 00:52:32 And then like, all right, here it comes. Bit into the second one. And baby boy. Baby boy. I was right. I was right. Man, we were so sure it was a girl. We were so sure it was a girl.
Starting point is 00:52:45 I just felt like that the whole way. And we were wrong. I am two for two for guessing genders. What's going on all? Podcasters just pumping out boys. I know. Me, you will. Two boys.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Klein's got a boy. So the squad just boys everywhere. man. So I But what's Saturday? I could not be more thrilled. I'm like, I love being a dad. It's like the best thing in the world.
Starting point is 00:53:08 I feel like I'm pretty good at it. And I can't wait for baby number two. January 20 is the due date, which is like five days before the national championship. So I mean, fingers crossed, fingers crossed that this baby will be alive for five days. Can you commit to name it at arch if Texas wins that?
Starting point is 00:53:28 The only game, yeah, five days in. might see a Texas nattie, not to get too ahead of myself. That would be pretty crazy. Answer the question. Arch doesn't go well with shivery. Arch shivery is not a good, there's not a good break in there, so I don't think so. We have some names, some front runners right now.
Starting point is 00:53:44 I will not be sharing those at this time. Well, on behalf of everybody, Eric, let me be the first and second congrats. Let me be the second to say. I'm sorry to steal some of the shine off your birthday, dude. I'm sure. I have to ask, were the Cupcate sugar-free? Someone did point out. They were very, very much sugar.

So when we did our gender reveal thing yesterday, he was very much asleep at that time. So we called him at 9 this morning, which was 4 p.m. their time. And he just lit up. He's very excited to have a little baby brother. Oh, that would be great for him.
