Starting point is 00:00:04 I'm at El Ranchos. I'm at El Ranchos. Welcome back to the circling back podcast. Hi. It's Dave coming in with a lot of energy. High energy, Dave here. Thanks to Dylan's mastery on the Bluetooth speaker yet again. Producing the show today, Randall Trembachie.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Hi, Dave. I have a special shot up. I feel like Dylan was going to shout them out. So if Dylan's going to shout them out. Hey, take it away, my friend. one who tried you tried the cookie i did he did not try the cookie i tried the cookie as well i tried the cookie i ate the whole cookie i didn't just try it uh we had we had a backer and his wife i believe uh earlvin and susan come by to uh drop off some cookies they're going to be leaving austin
Starting point is 00:00:58 t hc free t hc free uh dave specifically requested that and they were delicious i don't know if we put the story out but uh i gave i gave them a pretty good score they were warm too they were the chocolate was gooey i'll put the i'll put the story up here in a bit more the story is not up so yeah i haven't put it up yeah so major shout to them also going to give a second shout out what two shoutouts to uh friend the show former washed uh associate pete blackburn who has uh started his dungeon crawler carl journey i saw on twitter so the randy effect that's exciting that everybody where my shirt today so
Starting point is 00:01:37 shouts to pete pete if you're listening uh he's not let me know what you're you think of the series he's got better shit to do man oh wait what no no man you can't me on what chaos to talk about it that's big for you that is big that is big you got Pete got Pete it's good happy to be here Dave the the cookie was good I typically am not a pre-noon cookie guy but Randy I watched him have his and it was warm and gooey baked this morning and I was like well I got to jump on it well it's at its peak about you know 45 minutes to an hour 30 after it's baked, had to get in there. It was really good.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Thank you for coming by. Here's a guy who didn't have a cookie for some weird reason. Dylan Shibri. I might have one post-lunch. He might have one for a little dessert. I don't want a sugar spike in the morning like that. I'm sure it looked great. Thank you to Erlvan and Susan for the generosity.
Starting point is 00:02:33 We'll just roll your eyes when you talk. Chet and I. Bring her the cookie at least. watched oh she she will love i'll bring her some cookie i'll bring her like two or three we watched the second half of two different movies last night again i don't have a good explanation for it it's just kind of how things worked out project hell mary and one that you guys aren't going to see coming sex drive which is really i haven't seen it in a while so funny james marsden that's such a funny movie it is very good it's because we started i made her start with me jerry do the other day and
Starting point is 00:03:07 they mentioned it and yeah and i was like you've seen sex drive right she goes yeah it's so funny so we started to go back here's the thing about me not only am i have i never seen sex drive i'm completely unfamiliar with it oh it's uh it's a very funny movie it feels that about 15 years old maybe 20 2008 okay did it's so funny the guy in jury duty brought his DVD copy in for james mars in the sign during jury duty it was great it was a very wholesome moment dude i'm unfamiliar Seth green Seth green he's he's He's an Amish guy who's hilarious. Give me the premise.
Starting point is 00:03:46 All right. So James Marsden's little brother is a high school virgin. And he's chatting with a young lady on some chat website. And she convinces him to drive to Knoxville to get laid for the first time. An absolute rocket, bro. And they steal James Marsden's car from the garage, which is a 69 GTO, badass car. and they drive it there and a lot of shit
Starting point is 00:04:11 happens along the way. It's funny, man. It's funny. Check it out, Dave. Yeah, there's a whole Amish section. It's pretty good. Sounds road trippy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Very similar. Very raunchy humor. Yes. Okay. It's also got the guy, the younger guy in Hot Tub Time Machine. He was also one of the new interns in the office at the end seasons.
Starting point is 00:04:35 I always thought he was pretty funny. Oh, yeah. That dude is funny. I don't know his name. Okay. Well, good. And wait. So you guys, so you guys watched basically one full movie last night if you combined
Starting point is 00:04:48 the second. So on Saturday, we started Project Hail Mary. And we got tired and fell asleep. And then we started on Sunday. We started Sex Drive. No, we started Sex Drive. Yes, Sunday. and then we decided, you know what, let's just finish both these movies tonight.
Starting point is 00:05:09 So that's what we did. It's kind of a fun way to watch movies. Amazing, amazed. Look, I can't have a fun way to watch. Here's the thing, Dave. I can't talk too much shit about Dylan because I've been starting to fall asleep during movies a lot on the couch now, too. It took us two days to watch Anastasia this weekend. Maybe everyone should try watching more than one movie at a time like I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:05:32 It's not so hard to get back into the plot after you've watched another movie. Yeah, I mean, yeah, most people can get back in it. It's just like, just saying, dog. Project Hail Mary, is that like a notably long movie? It's on the long side, yeah. Let's see how long it is. I think it's around two hours and 30 minutes. Project Hail Mary is two hours and 36 minutes.
Starting point is 00:05:55 There you go. Good movie. Amaze, amaze. Okay. You've seen it, right? No. Oh, dude, it's on Prime right now for, it's included in Prime. Have you seen it?
Starting point is 00:06:07 Did you watch it in one setting? We watched it in IMAX when it came out. Dave, you got to watch Project Tail Mary, Dog. I'm going to see Interstellar tonight at the IMAX with sauce. Oh, yeah. You're not actually, right? Yeah. Are you on?
Starting point is 00:06:22 Okay. I may bail halfway through it and come back like next time they show it. You should watch half of it, then watch Project Tell Mary. It's basically the same movie, right? Are you going to bring a little piss drug? So you don't miss any of the movie? I've seen Interstellar like eight times. That didn't answer my question.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Are you getting a pissed jug or not? No, I probably won't do a piss jug at the IMAX. Is he going to be super annoying during the movie? Like, yeah. They're like, deep, deep, deep, yeah, he probably, he might cry. Like in a, right, he likes the movie more than anybody I've ever known. He has a tattoo of it. Yeah, I mean, that's, that guy, and he's not, it's one thing if the guy is, like, full
Starting point is 00:07:07 sleeve, full body tat. It's like, yeah, here I got a... Yeah. No, it's like one of maybe a handful of tattoos he has. Yeah. It's like, so it's like, it's a featured tat. Yeah. Yeah, I'm excited to go, I guess. IMAX, cool.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Give it a few days buffer, but then you need to watch Project Hill Mary. Yeah, that's when I was upset with myself for not seeing it in theaters. Okay. You should watch Interstellar like I did for the first time is when you get, get really high in your buddy's garage and then sit very front row in the theater that's a it's a great experience now got high in the garage it in his parents garage when he when they were out of town on a family vacation we broke into the garage to smoke in it Chelsea bald during project hell mary it is good really what you do cross you over yeah uh no she cried during hell mary or
Starting point is 00:08:06 interstellar hell mary okay all yeah well that's one i want to watch okay hey we got exactly five minutes coming up you should listen to the first half
Starting point is 00:08:21 then just save it actually cut this off halfway through do patreon and then come back later on tonight and finish the rest of the pod the results me shocking it's a good idea you gotta you gotta just miscellaneous dose
Starting point is 00:08:34 this podcast by the way earlvin and susan they've only been listening for a year yeah there he's uh he's uh he's He started in a post-will era. Doesn't even know the will era. He called himself a babybacker. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 00:08:48 And I was like, at first I was thinking like, oh, he's been here since its infancy. So touching. And then he's like, no, I've been here for a year. Which babybacker. Is that a term that gets thrown around or is it just a, that's a new one, Earlvin thing? People call you a babyback bitch. Oh, shit. Fucking got you.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Do people call me a baby back bitch? Some people do. No, somebody has, I'm sure. I mean, shout's to Erlvan and Susan. but major shows to AJ, his friend that guy had to actually listen. Ray, right of point. AJ's the realist here.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Maybe back Earl of the week. Irvin may be back of the week. The guy that subscribed on that, you know, Airbnb TV might be. There's a lot. That's a good bit. Yes. That's a good bit.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Ross used to have people go to like the Verizon store and subscribe on every of the display phones. That used to be his thing back with. stealing a bunch of Chipotle napkins. Yeah. He was, he was, uh, he was getting people to steal. He was, he was basically, uh, cut the check. He wanted Chipotle to sponsor him.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Honestly, like, it turned out better for him that he wasn't forced to eat Chipotle, like, often to support a sponsor, I think. Because can you imagine, like, you're just, you feel obligated to eat burritos. I love Ross. And I, I wish his shows all the best. I just don't know if stealing from an establishment over and over again, is the best way to get their business. They don't negotiate with terrorists, Chippewa.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Right. Only way to stop this, man. Although. Give us money. God, what you did in their bathroom could be described as an act of domestic terrorists. Technically stealing the napkins are free.
Starting point is 00:10:30 So what happened there? You went in, like the door didn't lock and like one of the burrito artists, like open the door on you? No, no, no, no. It's not Chipotle. Shut up. You're conflating.
Starting point is 00:10:39 conflating big time. Shut up. It was, what's it called, the Lauren Cafe or Cafe Lauren, whatever, the coffee shop, coffee shop and pastry shop at the bottom floor of the Lauren Hotel. I thought it was Chipotle. Barista, not burrito artist. It was very similar. Barista. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:58 A young lady. And this is when you were shoe shopping or what was the deal? You're in a strip mall? No. No, the designer shoewear was a different story. Is that what D.S. does? stands for? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I didn't know that. I didn't know that. I didn't know that. I figured the ass with shoe. I didn't know the other ones. These are all different incidents, Dave. Yeah, I've never actually gone number two at a Chipotle. Somebody has.
Starting point is 00:11:26 That door was so confusing. The lock didn't make any sense. I even gave it a little tug and it was like, oh, I guess we're good. You did that too? Gave the door handle. That your money's worth on that tree. I gave the door handle a little tug and it was like, all right, we're good. Oh, we weren't good.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Design a shoe warehouse. warehouse. Ah. But yeah. You were pretty much there. I'll give you credit. People call the what Dylan's doorn shit warehouse or something like that. Dorn shit.
Starting point is 00:11:54 I forgot what the W was. Yeah, we got exactly five minutes. Hit us with a prompt. I sent out a quip earlier on Patreon. So all the patrons got notification on my quip. I missed that. On Instagram, there's also a prompt, a story put up.
Starting point is 00:12:10 You can press into the book. box and give us something to talk about for exactly five minutes that will record later today. Anything else? We still need to, I guess we should talk about this off pod, but I already started talking. We need a theme week. So I think maybe we'll put a thing on the Instagram story. We need people to submit some theme weeks. We'll love to love to know what we want or we can just talk it out right now.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Let's do theme weeks. Let's decide on it tomorrow. Yes. I think in the past we've done the Wednesday. Yeah. So we'll put up a prompt on the Instagram story too at circlingback pod that maybe submit some ideas too. But we'll announce tomorrow. Kind of get blown up over here.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Like Dylan at the designer shoe warehouse. Exactly. Oh, sauce is texting. There's another number on here. So I know Omar's going. I think the other number is probably Nick. Was he going to? I think he's going.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Okay. Yeah. The newly married. I didn't get that invite. That's all sauce. Sorry, man. You fall asleep in the middle of mine. That's a great point.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I'll fall asleep, yeah. I do love Interstellar. It's a great movie. It'd be the part where it's like all silent and like the spinning's going on and you just hear Dylan, I'm not a snorer. Do you snore when you drink? But I'll crash. Hanks, new one.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Not that I've been told. I never snore when I've got my Lola Blanket on. Heck yeah, brother. So comfortable. Yeah, I've slept on the couch before. I have. There's been times. Lola Blanket's there for me.
Starting point is 00:13:42 I've gifted Lola blankets. I have two in my home. It makes a tremendous gift. And now, guess what? They've got the Lola Pet Collection, Dylan. Yes, they do. Not only does Lola have amazing blankets for your fur baby, Dylan. They also have incredibly soft pet beds and pads with multiple sizes.
Starting point is 00:14:04 If you got a big dog or small dog. Yeah, they have small, medium, and large. And it comes in a few different colors. And this thing is just pure luxury. Stella is just the luckiest dog. These things are unbelievable. Truly, I want one. That's not.
Starting point is 00:14:21 I want one for me. It doesn't have dog hair on. Well, you just get a Lola Blanket. You probably have like two or three. I just have one. You could just get a lot, extra, extra, extra. I don't know how big they go. You're a man of some size.
Starting point is 00:14:34 You could probably curl up in a little ball and get inside that bed. I could. I could. Do it. I could. You know what? Yeah. Take a pick. And bring your Lola Blanket in there.
Starting point is 00:14:42 If you don't have, a pet you get to keep the world's softest blanket all for yourself oh my gosh imagine laying in the bed with the blanket the lola blanket on top of you never want to leave holy shit oh yeah big fan that's my it's kind of my go-to when i'm lucky enough to have nap time sandwiched in i don't like getting fully under my my bed covers for a nap i feel like it's hard it just don't well i was talking about getting in the dog bed the lowly dog bed with the lola blanket on top of you oh yeah you could do that too you know what i mean but your way's also fine I got kind of upgrade.
Starting point is 00:15:13 I got someone recently that's been sleeping in my bed that may be a complete cover hug. And that's not going to mention any names too. But to combat this, I just bring the Lola blanket into bed. And I'm just like, all right, you can have all the other blankets. And then I'm sleeping great. So I actually want to man. And if you mess it up, it's machine washable, Randy. Double hemmed for durability and it stays flawless.
Starting point is 00:15:36 No pilling, no shedding, even after repeated washes. One Lola instantly elevates your space. It's unbelievably soft, beautifully designed, and makes your home feel cozy and curated. Okay? Starting point is 00:16:03 Wrap yourself in luxury with Lola Blankets. What's going on with James Franco? I had to do a little clotting earlier. I knew that, I knew he had a fall from Grace. He's been canceled, right? I had to do a, I utilized AI tools. I leveraged them to figure out what exactly happened.
Starting point is 00:16:24 I actually didn't know this until recently, but I saw an interview with Seth Rogan where someone asked him, like, what's up with you and James Franco? And he mentioned that they no longer work together and they don't, I guess they were like super tight. I know they did a bunch of movies together. But yeah, famously one that I watched in the last couple years. They're not boys anymore.
Starting point is 00:16:44 What was the one I watched? He's got some area one. He's got some allegations. Oh, the interview. That's the one. Yeah. Anyway. He was great in the interview, but.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Good movie. Really good movie. This is. Okay. God, you kind of look like him. Do I? A little bit. Different nose, but.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Yeah. Your face, you guys have like tracking facial hair. Not a compliment to. James Franco. No, it's not. So, James Franco, apparently his security
Starting point is 00:17:21 cameras around his property picked up some interesting activity in the yard. Okay. When this got sent, you kind of expect I'm my bit dar went off. I'm
Starting point is 00:17:36 tracking. I'm like, all, well, there's this got to be some kind of bit. This is, just play it. You don't have to play the whole thing. This also like, don't play the whole thing. He did a video like two or three weeks back being like he, he had something very serious to tell us all that this wasn't like a joke and all this
Starting point is 00:17:53 and that he was going to release something in the coming weeks. And I guess this was the thing, which this seems like it's a bit or a promo for some new movie. Well, like we're kind of, we're in like the, what's the Spielberg alien movie disclosure? Mm-hmm. And like we're getting,
Starting point is 00:18:09 like all the UFO stuff declassified and yet nobody really seems to care. I think there's just not a lot of trust involved with the distraction. All that stuff. So it's like, okay. And then this and you're like, okay, is this part of it or is he just capitalizing and doing a bit? Don't, don't play as like. One of two things is going on here. Either he's, this is acting and this is all an elaborate publicity stunt for something
Starting point is 00:18:33 that he's going to announce at some point. I don't know. Or someone is. someone's playing a prank on him and he fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Either way, let's watch. All right, he's got it on the lap,
Starting point is 00:18:47 just hit it. Where my mouth is or whatever. Okay, enough. Here we go. 713. You wanted it? Here it is. I delivered.
Starting point is 00:18:58 This is a visual show. This isn't how I would edit a video to do that, by the way. He's doing this on TikTok, correct? Yeah. Yeah. All right, here's the deal. Pause it.
Starting point is 00:19:09 First thing to jumps out. at me. The way he's looking at the camera. The way he's looking at the camera, okay, but I'm just saying like, there's something about the alien, like, uh, it's kind of a gray with the big eyes or whatever, but wearing like the cheap looking spacesuit. In my opinion, and when I think of like what an alien would look like, it's not wearing clothing. This is like 70s, like low budget. Mars attacks almost. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's doing a bit, but it's just, and I guess, I just don't. There's something about like if the aliens pulled up and they had like uniforms, I'd be like, I'd be less scared of them, right?
Starting point is 00:19:47 Interesting that this alien looks just like Hollywood imagines aliens to look as well. And it's very funny because like this looks exactly like the aliens that people do on social media. Like they're really realistic makeup looking now, but they look exactly like this. And it's it so this is clearly fake, but we'll keep going. or is it he's just peeking in the window it's probably it's probably him in that cost that's what i'm thinking too
Starting point is 00:20:16 is alien humor enough to get you back in he's had some comeback at 10th yeah he's trying he's trying to win us over slowly yeah it's just popping in the window like this like this one's the most fake we're just boop and then he closes the laptop until monday
Starting point is 00:20:40 no said Enough said. It's the super sincere look he gives the camera at the end, which is just like, all right. A lot more footage dropping soon. It gets very crazy. So what's his angle? Where's he going with this? The apostrophe is not necessary there, by the way.
Starting point is 00:20:56 I kind of like that for. It gets. It gets. Yeah, I don't think that word ever has an apostrophe. No. No. What? Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Now he's just rage baiting. He's rage baiting guys like me. Come on. Yeah, I don't Although is it is it kind of like All right They pull up like you look out and you're like Oh no
Starting point is 00:21:19 Here this is it I heard about these aliens and here they are And like you see three of them And they all have like matching uniforms So you're almost like Okay well you guys have some sort of society Yeah Where you are
Starting point is 00:21:30 I assume if they have interdimensional travel Or like you know space They have some sort of society But where they live and they're like They need clothing for some reason They at least respect themselves. They're not walking out, dong out all the time.
Starting point is 00:21:44 They're not doing hog reveals all the time. They very much look like the aliens from Scary Movie 3. Oh, yeah. Is what is what is in this video. Just a little bit more high budget makeup. But it's pretty much the same exactly. The most terrifying alien scene from any movie, I feel like, and it's so quick in grand scheme of the film,
Starting point is 00:22:11 What's Mel Gibson movie? The M. Night Shyamalan. Signs. Signs. And it's when they're watching the footage from like Brazil or something in that birthday party. And like, you know what I'm talking about? It's like news footage and that alien just like walks by down the alley real quick. That's the one.
Starting point is 00:22:27 That's the most terrifying. Yeah. A lot of, I don't remember that scene. I don't want to watch it. A lot of people in the chat are asking, Dave, is this Zyrtec? Is this a Zyrtec movie? That's what people are asking. That's not Zirtec.
Starting point is 00:22:40 That's not Zirtec. By the way, Erlvan, he did let us know that he got in right around when Zyrtec dropped. So Zyrtec helped get him in the door. Erlvan, thanks for listening. The amount of cameo requests that just want like a shout out for someone's husband, like for his birthday, just in Zirtec boys. And I'm like, man, I don't know if I could do this for like two minutes. It really landed with the listeners. Zertek.
Starting point is 00:23:04 It won Bit Madness. Did it win? Yeah. Beat out a. Shee. Beat out Irish bartender Dave. That's crazy. Aliens are big now or they're not.
Starting point is 00:23:16 People care and also don't care at the same time. Franco has said he's grateful for his fall from Grace calling it an opportunity to do private self-work and change his way of life. This is all from Claude. Claude's very helpful. I just got to tell you. You don't have to go read a bunch of stuff. Hey, AI. It's changing everything.
Starting point is 00:23:36 I mean, look, it's changing podcasting. That's for sure. Multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and exploitation from women. But the aliens. Oh, he settled a class action lawsuit for 2.2 Millie in 2021. I didn't know any of this until, like, right now. Speaking about aliens and stuff, like Tom, where's Tom DeLong recently? I want to know what his opinion on all this stuff is.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Does he have a podcast just talking aliens? If you want to be if you want to have your head explode go listen to the rogan he did like six years ago or whatever it was You can't you can't you can't it's like you can't get through it It's it's bizarre. Okay No nothing against Tom nothing against Tom love Tom big part of my my life Tom DeLong But I still need to read the biography autobiography of Mark? What's it called?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Fairnight, 182. 182. 182, Dylan. I think it's worth a listen. You should read it. That should be your fantasy punishment. I probably won't. I don't know anyone that has read it.
Starting point is 00:24:55 If anyone in the chat has read it, let me know if it's good. I've heard good things. Okay. So we'll see what he's promoting. It's very bizarre that alien stuff hasn't landed with me, so to speak. Is it because of all the other stuff that's going on, Dave?
Starting point is 00:25:12 It's just, it just seems like a lot of it is either like, okay, I figured this stuff was out. This stuff has been leaked before. And also, it just, when it gets declaw, when it starts coming from the top, it's like, why are you, there's an ulterior motive. I don't believe why you're doing this. I don't, you know what I mean? It's like, what are we trying to do here?
Starting point is 00:25:34 Are you blue-beaming us? That one UFO looked like a pig or something. You know what I'm talking about? The one in the air that looked like the Michelin Man? Yeah. Yeah, that was weird. Don't get started on Project Blue Beam. I have to hear it from my brother all the time.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Let's call your brother right now. Not the one that used to work for the National Labs, the other one. Huh. Interesting. We always try to get something out of the one that did used to work for Los Alamos. You won't say anything. The car rental place. No, no, the National Lab.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Where Malta White used to work. Did he? Yeah, Walter White, he worked at Los Alamos. Are you sure? I'm pretty sure. That was Gray Matter. Gray Matter, I think, was the company that he had founded with the other guy and then got kicked out. But I think they started working as scientists at Los Alamos.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Is that right? Just like Bob Lazare. A lot of things happen in Los Alamos. Hey, Dylan, remember Los Alamos. That's all I'm going to tell you. I never forget, Dave. You know, Ozzy went to jail for peeing on Los Alamos. back in the day, rest of peace, Ozzy.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Was he Osborne? Ozzy, yeah. You peed on the Alamo? Yeah. Why do you do that? I think he was probably on a number of substances. Most of them illegal. Allegedly, famously battled.
Starting point is 00:27:00 The Alamo, right next to Ripley's, believe it or not. Believe it or not. And I think there's also, isn't there like a Dunkin' Donuts across the street? In a wax museum. Yeah. That's the biggest thing with the Alamo. It's like, oh, there it is. And then, like, across the street is like a...
Starting point is 00:27:18 Yeah. It's true. There's Arbys. Also, much smaller than you would imagine it to be. How have no World Cup teams found Arbys yet? Or no World Cup fans. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, my God, I love a...
Starting point is 00:27:30 But is that on the list of, like, American staple... The fly. That's so curly places. They didn't make the World Cup. Yeah, curly fries? Five for five, big Montana? No.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Just getting smaller in Arby sauce? Is Arby's in the lineup of like notable, you know, American fast food places for a tourist to hit? The French Dipper remind me of home. Right. Oh, yes. The horsy sauce. That's not good.
Starting point is 00:28:03 If you mix the two, Arby's and the horsy sauce, what happens? Your mouth has a good time. Okay. People forget that I have Dungeoned Dragons dice from Arby's. Nice dice. I have a really cheap head cover from RVs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:18 I'm not putting that on my golf bag. There's just one out there. Yeah, somewhere out there. Yeah. Yeah, I think Ricky sent it to us. Shout to Ricky prosper. And shout out to our good friends at Poncho. We've got three poncho items being worn today currently.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I'm wearing what Dylan wore yesterday, the lightweight hoodie. I see Dylan has got the Western. Is that the Marfa? This is the one we talk about all the time. This is the Marfa. It's a lightwash Western. denim button down pearls not button down and it's i love this shirt it's a it's a little cool outside today for july so i decided to wear it and uh man i love this thing absolutely love it

Starting point is 00:29:42 figure out why we have a closet full. Check them out. Pancho. Infectious disease doctor advises avoiding fresh produce, even if washed as the explosive diarrhea outbreak spreads rapidly throughout the United States. Yeah, I was reading that too. I don't like that. I don't have to eat their vegetables, right? Hey, hey, Dave. They don't like eating their vegetables. I'm like, no, I don't want diarrhea. It's Ria time. Will said that we need to a Midwest Ria minute yesterday. It has to be geographically specific. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:30:19 and then Dave did not want the Ria minute. Hey, man, do you think maybe I could put my lapy down or was that intrude on your shoes that are on the table? Fine, dude. Big old freaking hillbilly you are.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Fine. Jeez. The Reddit's got my back on this. Yeah, they do. Somebody said, found Dave's burner. That's good.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Yeah, we got to be careful with that. The diarrhea thing. I have nothing more on that. Just be careful with your produce. Careful with your produce. Even, yeah. I trust H.E.B.
Starting point is 00:30:52 though. I don't know why. Well, you said you have a goaded stomach, so you should be good. I do. This thing seems to be like a pretty nasty little thing, though. I don't want it. I don't want to test my gut bio. Why don't you test it?
Starting point is 00:31:06 I don't want to. Put your money where your mouth is. Put your tummy where your mouth is. You got any fresh produce on you? Yeah, do I have it in my pet bio. pants. I've got a bunch of lettuce in my shorts. No, I don't have any produce on me. You want me to go to Randalls? Randall's would definitely, they'll definitely give you the sick. Oh, you're going to trust the grocery store with the name, but in the title?
Starting point is 00:31:32 I trust H.D.B. with my life, yeah. God, you're simp. Yeah. They were saying, like, yeah, even washing it, it's not going to do anything. That's crazy. That's not good. No. make it go away I might take back I'm not taking fully back that HGB is just a grocery store but I've been doing a lot more of the HEB natural like the store brand stuff and it is so good like the tortilla chips and the tortillas and the guacamole HGB does have some really good stuff you got swatted out of the gym by the backers on that one some people yeah people some people did not like it I just I just compare it to Buckees compared to a regular gas station like an HB
Starting point is 00:32:09 compared to a regular grocery store to me isn't that big of an upgrade but it is good, it is better. Okay. It's like when I go to a Costco, I'm like, whoa, what was, what is this place? He's not running back his take, but he is walking it back. I respect it. I hit Costco yesterday. My only issue with Costco is that, like, it is, there's not a good time to go.
Starting point is 00:32:36 It is always, it is always, not always slam, but it is always busy. The parking lot is an absolute war zone. And it's a massive parking lot. People get upset in that parking lot more so than any other place, man. People swarm looking for looking for spots. And once it's available, you have to get in there. Yeah. It's, you got to be ready to do battle in the Costco parking lot.
Starting point is 00:32:59 And then you got to tell you what, you don't want to be the guy when you're walking in, fumbling through his wallet, looking for his card to scan. Oh. Because if you forget it, you're not getting in. They'll make you go around and get like a temporary. It's a whole thing. it's kind of a humiliating ritual. They're like, you got to walk out, walk over to the side there, wait in a line, and then go get a temporary.
Starting point is 00:33:20 You're VIP, though, aren't you? Yeah, but the problem is, I forgot my card one time. And I was like, do I really? You're really going to make me go over there? You've seen me before. I'm a VIP. I'm an executive member, which, by the way, renewed earlier this month. Just don't fumble around looking for your card
Starting point is 00:33:40 when you're walking into Costco. That's all I'm telling you. Okay. That's good to know. What else? What's this? Whalen Jennings? He's got a new cologne out. I've heard, yeah. This might interest you. It's called Haas. I've always wanted to smell like Whalen. Well, I got me new cologne out. I don't know how waylon. He's got to sound something like that, right? He died in like 2002. Right. When he was alive, he did talk. Well, you know what it is. They're, okay, I don't, I just got to say. The Waylon Jennings estate that's capitalizing on the name here.
Starting point is 00:34:19 If Whalen was, I'm just going to go ahead and speak for him as a fellow outlaw. If he was still around, he wouldn't want to cologne. Well, get you some hollas, house. You can't smell, dude, there's no. You sure? The smell of outlaws to be, to be earned. No, no, no. It smells like outlaw country, leather and lace, classic mus cologne and, uh, the rambling spirit.
Starting point is 00:34:42 What's that? Okay. Do you know the smell of Clubman aftershave? Yeah. It's like the country club after shave. Oh, yeah. I can picture in the little logo. That's what I imagine Haas to smell like.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Okay. Just name the things that it's supposed to smell like, and I'm going to give you the first thing that comes to mine. Okay. Outlaw country. Piss. In a good way. Like, I had a great night and I pissed myself.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Okay. Not like in a negative way. All right. leather and lace oh leather and lace what does lace smell like don't answer i don't know i don't know what lace smells like
Starting point is 00:35:19 i imagine it smells like that sex club that uh dan went to that's when it was country night it was country night i'm sure there's a lot of leather and a lot of lace i'm gonna bet that they didn't play any wail and jennings that night probably not all right uh classic musk cologne that's club man To me. Ketamine.
Starting point is 00:35:44 My brother back in high school, the first time I ever heard about Elon Musk is way back in the day. He thought that that was just a clone name, Elon Musk. It does sound like it. And then the rambling spirit. Again, piss. So you just think that this smells like this? Sweat. Sweat.
Starting point is 00:36:04 A mixture of sweat. An old saddle. Two Budwisers. a saddle that's been it's been uh seen a cattle driver too a saddle you know it's smell crazy in there oh yeah a saddle and then just like a hint of piss just like but like not like from like a big night just from like uh you know maybe he uh maybe he got a little little spooked on the on the trail or something i will say that dylan commented on this get you some hoss hoss i sure did They were to send us some.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Well, I'm sure they'll send us some after you called it. It smelled like piss. No, I meant it in like a good way. Good piss, Randy. Go on, he clarified that. Sorry, I'm sorry, I missed that. I'm trying, I'm trying it. I think, I think Ranger Station has some stuff at Tacobos,
Starting point is 00:36:59 but I would love if Ranger Station wants to send us some hoss. We are, I mean, Hoss is another winner of a bit madness. I bet there's a lot of, a lot old ladies out there. Oh, yeah. They can tell you exactly what Whalen smelled like. and they're going to be like, this is not what it smelled like. What a life. Sure.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Were you ever an aftershaved guy? Did you ever use it? I tried it. I tried it. And then, like, I think my dermatologist told me, like, don't use it. I don't think you worked. I used to use witch hazel. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:36 And now I don't, I really don't use it. I just, when I shave my face, I shave and the shaving cream I use is what Alyssa used to use on her like when she would shave her legs it's like the the female i started using it my face didn't like break out and it's a good shave and then i just do my moisturizer after i don't do any kind of like after deal a razor hasn't touched my neck in a long time i get i get irritation easily yeah you're soft yeah you haven't you haven't had your life threatened by a knife in recent memory no i haven't you fucking do it why you dress like that dude yeah you're not an out i'm a fucking poser you are not an outlaw just wanted to showcase my poncho you haven't almost been
Starting point is 00:38:15 shanked by an orangutan in a long time huh in shows it's true yeah this is what i wore the the day after my uh i was going toe to square toe with the the boys out love equa with the cowboy had debacle yeah real austin cowboy right there i wore this with my old cowboy hat and some boots my tachovas and they called me a poser well you you position yourself as a real austin cowboy yeah Yeah, that's true. The genuine Austin original. And they were quick to point out, there's no such thing as a real Austin cowboy. There's got to be.
Starting point is 00:38:49 There's got to be at least one. There's got to be some poke in this town poking around. What about that fella who has a horse who rides through town? Yeah, in Southamore sometimes, too. That's I was about to say. That's a real cowboy. That's a real cowboy, Dave. Well, let's go find him.
Starting point is 00:39:02 What about all the mounted cops on their horses? Does Austin still do that? They're not cow poking, man. I think so, yeah. That's a 6th Street thing. Yeah, I mean, I think it's only on 6th Street, really. Because I think I saw some World Cup fans come through and, like, see them when they were in Austin. And they were just amazed by it.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Yeah. Do we have England, France tonight? I believe it's at 2 o'clock. Good. So I'll get to see it. No, we'll be recording. Oh, bummer. Today at 2 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:39:34 No, it's France Spain. France, Spain, not England, France. You dumbass. Who played tomorrow's England. England's in Dallas. Okay. England, France. I guess I'm getting a little ahead of myself, right?
Starting point is 00:39:47 You're thinking of a lot of history, England versus France. Well, you and Brett were trying to go back and forth with the history jokes yesterday. One of you guys was way off. Was it you? 100 years more. I also said War the Roses, which there was a little involvement in France and that, but it was mainly between the houses of England, but there was some French. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:07 What else is going on here? Is there anything else to this? No. It's just that it is named Haas. They got to send us some. Yeah. I don't think they have to. Nah, if you, we did a segment on the pod.
Starting point is 00:40:19 We gave them some free, a little, little free ad here. Maybe alluded to it smelling like piss. What would yours be? My scent? Yeah. We know Dillons would be glitz. There was a Fultland Roark. It was like a Palmetto that I really liked, even though I live in south central Texas.
Starting point is 00:40:40 That's okay. Central Texas. I really like. like the palmetto that springy kind of i like that i like i like the i don't like the um i'm more of a of a of a sweet smell than a like leathery i've been rocking burgomat from cremo really i love do you take the top bun off of that burgomat yeah burgomont shit smells good man pretend i have no knowledge of sense. What would you, what is that? What is it compared? I don't know how to describe scent. I don't know how to put scent into words. You're not, you have the sense of smell.
Starting point is 00:41:20 What does Bergamott smell like? Maybe like the rambling spirit. Okay, good point. You know, Dave, you have a perfect name. You put this on and like you go out to the bars and there's some old, some old lady with the cigarette walks up. A tavern wench. It is a, you smell like a rambler. Bergamot fragrance is a bright, sparkling citrus note extracted from the rind of a bergamot orange. Okay. That's up my alley. Dude, it's good.
Starting point is 00:41:47 I like the citrusy angle. It's more masculine than it sounds. I mean, your cloning could just be rough. That'd be a good one. What's that smell like? Rough around the edges. What smells like asphalt? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Oh, you smell like asphalt. You've been working outside? Yeah, I have... Ooh, you smell like pissing asphalt. Wow, you had a good night, didn't you? No, not really. I slept on the asphalt. Man, I pissed myself.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Jeez. And then they made a cologne out of it. You have one bad night. Next thing you know. Got too wild at the interstellar IMAX. Yeah, am I going to do some early burden? You tell us. You should.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I might do it. I got the drops. I might do a couple drops. Hey, are you guys seeing it at the Bullock? You know from mine and Brett? experience, make sure you get there early because that will fill up. Yeah, don't wait on your friends who are running a few minutes behind
Starting point is 00:42:44 so you get all sit together. Just take a seat. Okay. That's where we messed up. These guys. You guys had better seats than Fred and I did. By like two rows. Now, we've got it all planned out. Sources on it. Got the group text going last night. Oh, dear.

Did you see the Senegal team doctor stuff from yesterday? I did. Where for whatever reason, they're alleging that he's actually not like a licensed
Starting point is 00:44:24 sports medicine doctor, and he's actually a trained gynecologist. Okay. famously something he probably won't use a lot on his men's World Cup team. Well, you were saying that how this actually makes a lot of sense since a lot of soccer players are... Now, a lot of people, first of all, a lot of people were saying that on Twitter. I thought you were saying that in here in the office. Go ahead and say the word if you're going to do it. P-word?
Starting point is 00:44:54 Yeah. I don't want to. Teradactyl? I have already, not only have I watched, I think I've consumed as much World Cup as anybody. in this office. I've already adopted a club. I'm a citizen. So I won't be, I will not be insulting the great men who play the great game. There's still a flopping problem though. Yeah, that's more of a urologist deal, not a gynecologist. Right. I understand the reason for flopping and like you want to draw the foul. I get it. I mean, that, that happens in a lot of sports. But like,
Starting point is 00:45:35 why do they have to like roll around on the ground like they got shot for, 20 seconds. Why did Tua do it? What? He flopped. Tua? Yeah. Tua's had like 14 concussions.
Starting point is 00:45:47 I'm making a joke. Can you imagine if that was a flop? Okay. When he's through the gang signs? Yeah. No, that was very real. That's how NFL players sounds a flop. It's a very real brain injury, sadly.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I don't know. Got a guy kicked out of a game the other day. Yeah. You guys won some more. We did. For the red card. I'm going like 30 bucks. I was glad they're trying to clean it up. That was tight.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Yeah. It's tough because there's people who are getting hurt. Famously go ankle to ankle, stepped on ankle, rolled ankle, shin to shin, often. And there probably are times where you don't want to get up right away. It's the writhing in pain. When I see a guy go down and doesn't, he's not immediately knee up. to chest writhing and rolling around i'm like uh-oh that guy might be really hurt well they they
Starting point is 00:46:43 they roll around in pain and then when they realize that there's no foul they just get up and run off like like nothing they just get back into the action yeah it's like oh i guess it didn't work what happened polysic stubbed his toe and then he had to leave i'm i don't know did that happen stalk down yeah yeah stonk way down did you not watch the a USA game? I watched some of it, not all of it. Did you fall asleep and watch the second half a couple days later? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:13 God damn it. No, I what? I turned out. Everybody's out on Policic. I turned it off at 3. He's our best player, potentially. And everybody's like, yeah, this guy sucks. Shouldn't be on the team.
Starting point is 00:47:22 They're like, damn. What a fall. Parks had it. Parks had a finish. He has, he's got a summer workbook that I make him do. And he was, during halftime, I made him get back on it. Really? He's got a book going?
Starting point is 00:47:36 Is he cooking? it's a fifth to sixth grade summer bridge workbook all right oh so not like a book he's not parks isn't writing a book no oh he's not cooking the books he's 11 years old wash media well no he's okay i'm sorry he's not taking bets okay we can just move on i'm sorry i don't you and i are both confused here for different reasons i'm confused you said parks has a book he's working through a workbook that was like he was doing math problems all right how does he collect does he have a guy yeah Yeah. Yeah, a lot of math is involved in that type of stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:09 His guy's name is Polly. Really? Yeah, he's this big old Italian fellow who wears a track suit. Is he that kid up there around Cedar Park? Polly DeSilviano? Yeah. Yeah. It's probably...
Starting point is 00:48:23 It's a kid. He's just a big 13-year-old. Yeah. But he's an enforcer, man. He'll, like, let the air out of your bike tires. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. He will.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Damn. Pock's just got it like that. It's tough competing with the draft kings of the world and all those. He'll put like your hobby horse head in your bed. He's lobbying with the local government to keep gambling illegal in Texas. He's lobbyists? Yeah. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Yeah. Is it one we know? Yeah. Okay. Damn. Yeah, he's deep, dog. Underrated, it's crazy. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:49:01 So shout out to Senegal's Gino. How much cooler was, I mean, this is good said a lot, but I really believe it. Gambling was so much more fun when it was like, I've got to go to this dummy website and enter my little... It's too accessible. My sister told me, I don't want to get anybody in trouble, but she told me that, like, my niece has friends, there's high school boys that are gambling on apps.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Oh, yeah. Parents need to get control of that right now. She said at orientation where my niece is going to college, there was like an audible, oh, and it was because of something that happened in like a game. Are you kidding? No. It was like 18-year-olds. Look, gambling is a problem in this country.
Starting point is 00:49:55 It's getting out of country. That's why we always say do it responsibly with our good friends. Right. Do it responsibly. Don't let your kids do it. Yeah, your teens shouldn't be doing it. I miss the days when you had to go to a guy and then like you'd see him out at the, bar and like he would walk up behind you with like a buddy like hey do man you good day good and then
Starting point is 00:50:17 they would like smash your head down on the ball yeah yeah and they're oh oh i'll get it and you're like i'll promise i'll get it and you only like you owe him like eight thousand dollars break your thumbs in the back room something like that you know yeah let your kids micro dose gambling out like an arcade where they do like tokens and tickets like you don't need to be full on gambling so rhod's rhodes is uh This is my oldest boy. He's earning monies. He has a piggy bank and he's earning some monies. And I owed him $5 cash from, I bet him.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Okay, speaking of gambling, I bet my son, we were throwing the ball front, the baseball, and we have a bucket, a Home Depot bucket. And the ball went across the street. He wanted to go get it and he got it. And then he's like, I was like, he wanted to throw up from there. I'm like, don't throw it from there. And I was like, okay, if you hit the bucket, if you hit the bucket from our neighbor's driveway, I'll give you five bucks. He missed it a couple times.
Starting point is 00:51:15 And I was like, I'll give you one more chance and he hit it. And then like I didn't have $5 cash for a long time. And he kept asking me, he goes, dad, where's my, he calls him dollar bucks. Where's my money? Where's my dollar bucks? And he kept asking. You got to pay up, dog. And finally I paid him.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Then the other day. Was there juice running on that, though? No, he wouldn't. That's the thing. He's too young to know about getting. points on the top and the other day I came on from the WTI and I had a bunch of cash as you saw um and he just like grabbed some and went and put it in his piggy bank like he thought it was his I was like why are you taking you just can't that money's no he was enforcing dude you're
Starting point is 00:51:53 lucky to get the lead pipe out I don't even know he might have taken a 20 I don't know what he took you're lucky your kneecaps are still intact man that's great dude so so I'm learning a little bit from roads that if I want meatballs, I just need to show up to your fucking place and take them for myself. They're not made yet. Well, you can have some Rios. Actually, not bad. Rios and meatball?
Starting point is 00:52:17 Yeah. I want some Davey originals. Calm down, dude. Never. Would you get off my meatballs? No, I will stay on your meatballs. Shouldn't I wait till the winter? Wait till winter, dude.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Meatballs play in the, they play year round. Mm-hmm. I'm a type of dude to go to a nice Italian restaurant to order spaghetti meatballs. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. I fucking love it. I don't care. I just have Isaac make it for me. He sucks at it, but we're learning.
Starting point is 00:52:49 He's trash. I'm trying to teach him. He's slow. He keeps just wanting to clean the pot instead and put it away. It doesn't like just not how you make it. It's like there's a magnet on the washing machine. He didn't salt the water. Yeah. He got stuck trying to put it, put meatballs in the oven.
Starting point is 00:53:06 He accidentally used like peanut oil instead of olive oil. Yeah, fucking idiot. I was like, what the, what is this? Oh, man. That's how he talks. I spanked his little robot bottom. Oh, yesterday I'm on the couch and I'm watching the clip we posted, the Isaac clip. And Sam sees it.
Starting point is 00:53:24 And he's like, is that you? And he goes, is that you? I'm like, yeah, it's me. And he sees the robot. And so now, and then Rhodes wants to see it. And then now the other one to see is the robot videos. So I had to go on my phone, search Isaac Robot, and watch. the actual like
Starting point is 00:53:37 and show them this robot. And they're like, you're going to end up getting an Isaac. No, not in my home. Uh-huh. No way. Get out of there.
Starting point is 00:53:50 I come home and. Isaac's now my, my kids don't even call me dad anymore. They look at Isaac as a father figure. No. Isaac's not stepping foot in my kitchen. Dude, Isaac's going to cuck you as a dad. It is pretty impressive,
Starting point is 00:54:05 watching them like fold laundry. And if I could get a robot, to like do if there is the only thing this thing did was wash clothes dried clothes and folded them I would be like okay apparently if if Isaac like falters and he does he's like doesn't know how to complete a task someone will remote control him from wherever their headquarters is and that's weird I don't want somebody having so they control so they guarantee a job to get done via remote really yeah any job I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I don't know. You're that entry-level guy with the remote. You're like, no, not like this. You start going through like the panty drawer and stuff, you know. You don't want people in their home, you know? Did you say panty drawer? Yeah. God.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Panty drawer. Don't say panty drawer. I just like to think some low-level guys at the computer, like, sir, they have an unusual request. This boss comes over and just, you know, shoulder, we promise any task would get done. Any task. Sir, do we, does Isaac
Starting point is 00:55:17 He covers the mic tasks? Does Isaac do colonoscopies? This guy wants me to jerk him off. I'm not doing it. Any task. He moves so slow. I'm not trusting Isaac with that. No.
Starting point is 00:55:35 He's got claws. Great. I got, hang on, I got a text. Talk amongst yourselves. What's happening? The pest guy? Is that you said? Did you have,
Starting point is 00:55:45 you have a skunk trapped in the backyard? No. No, we've not, no. It's just we have like the quarterly service. Wait, hold on. Like is this one that I guess you said talk amongst ourselves,
Starting point is 00:55:56 but it's one of these guys that just comes to your door. It was. Yeah. It was back in the day. They're getting solar too? No. I mean, most people use some sort of pest service in some capacity.
Starting point is 00:56:08 No, I'm not doing solar I always wonder though I see a lot of people in my neighborhood do solar and I'm like, am I missing out? On solar? It takes a while to break even on it. Big initial investment and then you slowly earn it back over time.
Starting point is 00:56:29 So is it worth it? Yeah, great question from the chat here. Was it John Linguazmo that you were just texting? No, it was pest control, not the past. Oh, not the past. Yeah, it wasn't, it wasn't John Liguizamo from the opening scene, opening credits of the past. I would not, I promise you, I would not deal with that such a man. But that man showed up at your door to sell you something.
Starting point is 00:56:55 Before we jump into the next thing, is it, because I want to be very specific about it, is it this episode or is it this podcast is brought to you by or sponsored by? man because again i want to be very specific here it's usually there in the copy but i don't know it's not there and i don't want to do the wrong thing uh talk amongst yourselves i will um i always have a little soft spot in my heart for the guys who go door to door doing solar and and pest control and mainly because like they're all they all seem to be like 20 years old or 20 you know early young young kids that's a tough way to make a living
Starting point is 00:57:34 And it's a grind. It is. You're walking around during the summer. There was a guy who came by my place on a Segway recently. Sick. And I was just like, he looked too young and too, like, healthy and in shape to be doing the Segway. But I was like, I get it. I find it's better to just immediately let them down before they jump into their pitch.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Sometimes I'm like, man, if you're new, if I get the vibe that they're new, like, if they have, like, a supervisor with them, I'll let them practice the pitch on me. But then I'll immediately like, not interested. We got somebody we like, sorry, I don't want to take any more of your time. Appreciate you coming by, but I'm going to save you some time. I'm not interested. That's what I say. Yeah. But then they'll continue on like they didn't hear you.
Starting point is 00:58:17 They're like, no, sorry. Thank you though. Yeah. The sales training stuff is real. They tell you, take Noah's answer, episode. Okay. Thank you, Randy. We'll just wait a second.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Yeah. So maybe that's a good entry level sales gig. I don't know. You got to, that really, you go door to door pitching that stuff. You're going to get rejected about 95% of the time. So. Yeah. More than that.
Starting point is 00:58:42 You learn how to do, get rejection pretty quickly, face to face too. If you're like me, you got that in high school. Oh. I got rejected all the time. Well, I know something that could help out with the illness rejection. My girls, Dylan. No, I get it. I didn't do well with the ladies.
Starting point is 00:58:59 You're doing nerd voice. It was kind of Scoob. It was kind of shaggy and Scoob. Who's actively going through puberty right now and his voice is changing. Zoinks. The girl didn't talk to me, Scoob. Zoinks, Scoob. That wasn't good.
Starting point is 00:59:14 No, I'm not going to. You do Scooby. I'll be shaggy. Roe-Raggy. My face broke out again, Scoob. Your chops, Shaggy. I walked in on Isaac going through my mom's panty drawer, Scoob. This is a stupid show.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Or we just lost Roland and Susan. Yeah, sorry, Erlvan. Thanks for the cookies. If you want to come get them taken back. Orvin's kind of a dope name, by the way. This episode is brought to you by BetterHelp. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Better Helps, 2026 State of Stigma Report surveyed 2,000 Americans and revealed that 85% of Americans believe getting support is wise, yet 74% say society discourages people from doing so. Is that surprise you? It does. It's interesting, isn't it? It does. It shouldn't be such a thing. There's a gap there. A gap in mental health support and actually seeking it.
Starting point is 01:00:10 And I think as a society, as podcasters, we should help close that gap because we believe everybody should get help if they so seek it. Starting point is 01:01:07 That's better, h-elp.com slash circling. Better help. Looks like Davey finished the bear. Hang on me, Texas ding-dong. Ding-dong. Does he know that you call him a ding-dong? What if he's like watching it live? Like, oh.
Starting point is 01:01:26 I'm going to do Dave's house. This is sick. Oh. I will tell you this. Shaggy will not be a bit madness He will not make the tournament He will be NIT at best Yeah, no
Starting point is 01:01:41 I don't got a good scoob or Shaggy What about you? Let's hear your sco Yeah, go ahead man Let me just take a break here That was about like blue From blues clues I don't know, fuck that Are you gonna get a bobblehead
Starting point is 01:01:53 So you don't feel left out? I do feel left out man I don't think you know They look really like really good Right What was that really did you say? I don't think a bass could hold that up.
Starting point is 01:02:05 He's saying your fucking head's so big. They couldn't make one. I bet they could. You could shrink it just, you know, for proportion purposes. Dude, they're dope. Well, this is so cool. His is cool. They made mine just a total penis.
Starting point is 01:02:23 Look at him. Just like clown man. I'm here to play golf. It's nerd voice again. I mean, that is kind of me, though. They get him a little paunch, though. He's got a little belly. Really?
Starting point is 01:02:35 Yeah, yours is, I noticed yours was flat, flat bellied. What if they just made mine with just like a crazy stencil outline? Like, just crazy print. There's too much print with great sweatpants. Yeah, it's me holding folding chairs on either arm just for some reason. Those are cool. Yeah. Man, maybe a backer will make you one.
Starting point is 01:03:01 I would love that. What if they made you one and it is like the head is five times larger than the basically like the baseball ones are really big heads. Yeah, the baseball, yeah, that's a, that's a thing. You can get the gimmicky ones. What might be wearing this? I don't know, some shitty-ass fit. I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Damn, dude. No, you would be wearing a fucking shacket probably. Shacket. Oh, there we go. It's got to be a shacket. You got to get the spectacles on there. Man, I don't know. Yeah, dude, it's my look now.
Starting point is 01:03:32 We talked about. We could put your Swedish-made penis pump in your hand, too. What's the deal? You bought a penis pump? I don't have one of those. When did I, when did that happen? It didn't. That's a new one.
Starting point is 01:03:43 It's a penis pump for my cock, babe. What? That's what Cole Campbell said. Wait, what did he say? Wait, what did Cole Campbell say? Erlvan has no clue about this. I could tell you that. Cole Campbell has, he has a penis pump.
Starting point is 01:03:59 It's a nine-year-old reference. And he, like, he was like, proud of it. Nine years old. He was showing it off and he was like talking about how he uses it. Boy, what was the response? He thought it was cool to have or something.
Starting point is 01:04:09 I don't, I don't know what Randy's talking about. Well, Randy, no, you can't. I hope I'm not telling tales out of school here, but he was just taking pictures of his, like, room.
Starting point is 01:04:20 And I think cat pat responded and said, Cole, what's that on the desk? And his response was, it's a penis pump for my cock, babe. I don't think you need to specify what it's for. Like we know. Saying penis pump pretty much does that for you.
Starting point is 01:04:34 You're not, you're not, you're not pumping blood into your thumb. Believe that's how the story went. Babe. I haven't seen much action from Cole Campbell lately. Is he still shadow band? You probably had to get a job.
Starting point is 01:04:46 I don't know, man. I hope he's doing well. I don't think you got a job, Dave. I finished the bear. I saw that on a rundown. Yeah, Randy. Not Randy's penis pump. You guys started talking about the bobbleheads.
Starting point is 01:05:04 I finished a bear. And I watched this season over about a week and a half. And I immediately thought, I'm glad this is the last season. They've done enough with it. I don't want to see anything else. I don't think the characters have anything more to give. I'm ready for this to be.
Starting point is 01:05:34 wrapped up. In fact, this probably could have been wrapped up last season. Not that this season's bad, it's not. But you're just like, okay. You're like, you're like, you're like, all right, let's do it. Yeah. It's like a story that's overall a good story. And like the last couple minutes of your buddy telling it, you're like, all right, yeah, we got it. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Which was kind of why I stopped, I think after season two was the last one I watched. I was like, man, it's just more of the same stuff. and I enjoyed it, but it had to run its course for me. After one season, two. You finished the whole season two?
Starting point is 01:06:09 Yeah. And you just, you didn't watch three or four. Right. All right. Yeah. I did enjoy it. But it was just like, I think I've seen all the better I need to see. I mean, you missed a lot.
Starting point is 01:06:24 I know. But. Should I go back in? No. Okay. Because you're not going to. You don't know that. Yes, I do.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I watch shit. I've done a show with you for like a decade. You're not going to finish it. The thing about the thing about it. And you have to watch Gary, the little mini-movie thing. The thing about it is I got to convince Chels to get on board, too. She's never watched it? I can't just watch a show by myself.
Starting point is 01:06:45 No, she wouldn't like it. Yeah, she wouldn't like it. I'll say too much facts, the facts. I wish you would have watched it. You're adjacent to Chicago. Mm-hmm. You get a lot of cool Chicago-sounding accent. A lot of rough and gruff, like Chicago guys.
Starting point is 01:07:05 Oh, yeah. But the fact, you know, Neil Fack, remember him, tatted up guy. He's kind of like a lovable idiot. Uh-huh. You get a little too much of him. Okay. Just like, all right, man, a little too much Fack. Not the M&M song, FAC, Randy.
Starting point is 01:07:22 What a song. Carmi said, yeah. What goes, I like how it ended up. They wrapped it up nicely. I don't think... I didn't... I don't want to spoil it. It's not do well, the fancy one.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Do you want me to spoil it? Yeah, I don't give a shit. I don't know. Hey, guys, if you're watching live... I'm going to spoil the bear. Take off your headphones and maybe hit the... Oh, I'm going to spoil the bear's gear. Oh, God, he's going to spoil it.
Starting point is 01:07:53 All right, Dave, go ahead and spoil the bear for us. And now, the severe spoiling of the bear. Yeah, it does well. It gets... two stars fuck yeah two bishan stars please
Starting point is 01:08:10 what's to him two stars in the final episode Sydney takes total control of the bear Karmie leaves cooking oh yeah good
Starting point is 01:08:21 he's out he realizes he doesn't love it and for the bear to succeed he needs to be not a part of it so at least it ends up with him
Starting point is 01:08:33 it's kind of open-ended He's it's him going to like a get an interviewing for an internship. Oh, I thought you meant he just went back to the kitchen. He wasn't doing like the manager. No, he's out. Okay. But he's still for him to for him to be happy and be a part of the family that is the bear, he had to leave.
Starting point is 01:08:55 So he's still a part of the family. It ends at Richie's or cousins. Kids birthday party, surprise birthday party at the bear. and everybody's there and Karmie looks happier than he's ever looked. And so it's nice. Okay. But also you just can't help being like, you shouldn't leave cooking, dude, you're really fucking good.
Starting point is 01:09:17 You're like the goat. You're the goat. And even though you're like a psychopath and miserable, like he's nice in the kitchen. This is what you're calling is not an intern in an architectural firm. But you get the sense in the interview that he's not going to, he's going to get back in the game. But it doesn't end like that. Unless I missed something.
Starting point is 01:09:35 I watched this last night. I haven't read or listened to anything. So if I miss some context there, let me know. Because I was hoping. I'm like, I'm hoping he goes back and they work it out. And maybe him and Sid get together. I don't know. Maybe he gets his own Arby's franchise.
Starting point is 01:09:50 They do franchise the bear. Which they make it sound a little easier than it is. Okay. I'm glad it didn't well for him. Yeah. It did. The final season is the first seven episodes all happen in one day. One rainy, everything goes wrong day.
Starting point is 01:10:16 And then the final episode is like the days after. Okay. So it's like they all come together during this horrible day where they're overbooked and pipes are bursting and there's a flood. And everybody works like they're little. It's just so much. Pee, he's off. So much chaos in that kitchen.
Starting point is 01:10:35 Yeah. It was a lot for me. Yeah. People just, not for everybody. People just yelling at each other. Being in the arena is not for everybody. I do respect, I do respect people who work in the restaurant industry because I'm not built for it. No.
Starting point is 01:10:50 I'm glad these people exist. You've never been in the arena. I've been, you've never been at the Duncanville subway during the lunch rush. I've never worked in the food industry before. Yeah. That doesn't shock us. you're not a real eater I eat
Starting point is 01:11:04 okay you eat yeah uh less buns than anyone else good that's good yeah oh there too many buns on the bugger
Starting point is 01:11:18 I don't want a cookie this morning is too much sugar I don't know that no I can't have the sugar sorry I know you guys have like love the show so much you came by made as cookies but I can't try it because my blood sugar that's not why I don't want the sugar.
Starting point is 01:11:31 I'll try one. I can't try a bite or no, if you eat, you have to eat a whole cookie. You can't tell me what to do. No eating a cookie and putting it back. That's not a rule. I could break off half a cookie and eat it if I want. Let's take a vote. Should you not be able to eat half a cookie and put the rest back?
Starting point is 01:11:48 Here's the thing. Here's the thing that vote doesn't matter at all. On, on Dave. Because I will choose to eat however much of a cookie I want to eat. God, you're such a- If I just want to taste it, I don't eat the whole cookie. You're such a diet baby. You're the diet baby.
Starting point is 01:11:59 This is my people are calling you a baby bag. Yeah. I'm trying to live to be an old man. Yeah. One cookie, you're going to be okay. Congratulations. It's not about the one cookie. It's about the lifestyle, Dave.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Not that old Randy. You're the carmy of diets. What do that mean? I don't know. The goat? Yeah, you're the goat. No, you're the opposite of a goat. Goats will eat anything.
Starting point is 01:12:26 I don't eat healthy all the time. I don't eat healthy all the time. I'll let my guard down on the weekends. It's true. Is this because you broke a toilet seat one time? One toilet seat. It was because of the tushy. What?
Starting point is 01:12:44 Hold on. I've explained this already. Because of the day? Yes. It's because on the back where you connect it, it elevates the seat about a half of an inch. So there's a little bit of bend when you sit down on it. And that's why it broke. A little bit of bend when you sit down.
Starting point is 01:13:01 We've got to end this episode. No one had Mamo number five at the end. Mondo number two over here. Oh, no. I think David, I can go another 30 minutes. I still have a Tushie in my rush. I did not know that. I explained that when it happened.
Starting point is 01:13:22 But I had blocked it out for the jokes. Okay. It's got a little bend. Do you still have it? At Tushy. Yeah. Sure do. The bear's good.
Starting point is 01:13:40 So you like it? What would you give it? Wait on. So is it finished now in total? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. How many Michelin stars out of five are you giving the bear?
Starting point is 01:13:48 The show, not the. restaurant 3.8. Okay. 3.8. All right. There's some things I didn't like. There's a forced John Cena cameo last season. I was like, we didn't need this.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Really? Yeah. Peacemaker? Yeah. Have you ever watched Peacemaker? No. It's funny. It's good.
Starting point is 01:14:15 It's a good show. Peacemaker. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. John Cena, he's a D.C. Superhero, but he's kind of an anti-hero, but not really. Okay. It's funny.
Starting point is 01:14:29 People didn't have us ending the show like that, but we did. With a John Cena cameo? Peacemaker talk. All right. Well, uh,
Starting point is 01:14:38 see you later for Patreon. Exactly five minutes. Bye, bye, bye, Bye. Bye. you can trust. Visit wayfair.ca.
