Starting point is 00:00:04 All right, we're back. Something funny? Yeah. Circling back podcast Thursday morning. My name's Dave. Welcome to the show. Randall Trimbecki over there producing at a very high level. Hi, Dave.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Guess what? Chat be damned. I'm going to let the beat ride. It's actually like one. or two people in the chat so I'm not going to listen to them. I want to give a special shout out to a backer because I'm a man of the people and he asked to be addressed this way. It's a big law will working on small to medium-sized law. He was the one that sent in the sassy mustard on behalf of his mom.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Okay. His sister's girl who met Dave at Samies and was embarrassing. Ah, I remember her. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was with uh, I was with uh, Barrett. I was with my wife, Barrett and his wife. And she approached and she was very nice. She was, yeah, that was great. But yeah, I'm going to try some of the sassy mustard. Go to Instagram. We posted a real backer sent us a little care package on behalf of his mother's small
Starting point is 00:01:29 business with some mustard because we are a mustard first podcast. My favorite part of that little clip that we posted, it's not even a clip, it's just the full unboxing, is that Brett, when Brett's like, why is this like me? Like, why are y'all, why am I like the face of mustard in this company? And then he is it, and then he's like, is it because of these two things? And we're like, yeah. He's like, oh, yeah, correct. That's why.
Starting point is 00:01:54 The mustard is really good. You tried it? I took the hot home. He said that's his favorite, yeah. Yeah, I didn't try the others, but I did try the hot. You guys, they're all spoken for, right? Well, Dylan commented that he wanted to try some. So I still have the original on my desk.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I think Brett took the onion home. You took the hot home. So maybe I'll just have the original. What's the most funny way for this to play out? Dylan getting none. Probably. Okay. Oh, you didn't get any mustard?
Starting point is 00:02:20 Don't must-up with Dylan. He doesn't even deserve it. He doesn't even deserve it after. He doesn't want to split a big old bag of a big order of sunflower seeds. He got some mustard on his Haller brother's shirt. He did. At the, at Rigley. I need to pull out.
Starting point is 00:02:37 So I asked Dylan. He's not here today, by the way. Yeah, me and him are big smacking. sunflower seed guys and they're doing a special. Shut out, real ballings. They have a bunch of limited additions and I was like, hey, do you want to go have these in on this? And here are the flavors. Taco,
Starting point is 00:02:51 salsa, guacamole, deep dish pizza, salt vinegar, honey barbecue, loaded potato, sweet-tie chili, Korean barbecue, and terriaki. And he told me a bunch of those don't even sound good. A lot of those sound very similar, which isn't a bad thing. The only one that I've got a question about is
Starting point is 00:03:10 loaded potato. just because I don't know how they could pull it off. But no, that's a bad, you know what, in a world of Dylan getting roasted for bad takes, this one should be roasted as well. So I'll give you the platform to roast them. Go ahead. I'm going to go ahead and roast him.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Let me see what exactly he said. He said, man, half of these don't sound good. I think all of them sound good. It's crazy that Dylan's turning down a bag. How much is this? it was like 60 bucks for one, two, three, like a bunch of bags.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Okay. That is too much money to spend on sunflower suits. What is? Oh, hold on. KJ has something to say. Hey, KJ. Hey, guys,
Starting point is 00:04:05 I'm just go ahead and introduce myself. Sorry for sitting in the cuck chair for a few minutes there. Randy, I'm going to agree with the chat. When the crowd's chat laughter is just lingering on, maybe they were on to something.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Yeah, but it was a really funny joke. I'm kidding. I know. I do try to fade out the chat. I'm joking. Oh, KJ has his own soundboard. Come on. This is something else.
Starting point is 00:04:31 For now, for now. Don't just tell them to press. You remember that one? Remember that one? Yeah, I do. Hey, dude, press a different one. Yeah. Lord have mercy, I'm about to bust.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It's good. We needed it. Randy didn't add what I wanted him to add. I do. I do need to add a couple. We got two. We got some fire coming to that board. Yeah, KJ's in the build.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Well, KJ's here on the pod, not in the building. He's in Madison, Wisconsin. Happy to be with you fellas. Apologies for being overly biz cash as my schedule would have it today.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I'd even plan to like switch into my too much dip QZ and just did not did not protect my time enough if if you will I'm wearing this rowback today it's roby I like it I read this is so this is the first time I've worn it it's just kind of the white on cream almost I don't know what you would call it but it's I love this golf follow what's our rowback code randall that is lutes 20 first first purchase only so it up. 20% off at Robeck. That goes crazy. That's crazy. Do it. Do it now. If you're going to buy, if you want to buy, if for the worker in your life, Labor Day is coming up, you want to buy them a Labor Day gift. Shout out to the mail in. Do it. Go load up. Roeback. Lutz 20, L-U-T-E-S. K-J, did you get any good or bad feedback on the pod yesterday? something about lion and sheep and doesn't pay any attention to i have not actually looked for feedback i'll save that for when i'm feeling real good about myself need to come down a little
Starting point is 00:06:22 notch or two know how that goes uh why did somebody write hr or something no i thought no i thought it was a good show me too okay well let me tell you a quick little story if i can make sure this one isn't um i mentioned this in the group chat the other day this will be brief if this there was a place for me to hear feedback from said pod. It could have come from somewhere completely unexpected. I have about a two-mile commute in the morning to drop off kids at elementary school, daycare, yada, yada, yada, yada, real normal dad shit. As Dave mentioned, I live here outside of Madison, Wisconsin, completely removed from my boys down in Austin, is what it is. I love the Midwest, love Wisconsin, it's dope. I found the house that I have because of a backer and his wife is our
Starting point is 00:07:09 real estate agents. So it's not completely foreign to expect that there are backers lurking, shooters on the corner, if you will. But not too long ago, I was dropping off my daughter, daycare. As most parents are, it's kind of like a tactical, get in, get out, keep tears to a minimum, get out of the, get out of the parking lot situation. And on this fateful morning, I was stepping into the car. I see this big, like, I don't know if it's a duly, but it's bigger than F-150. Got to be an F-250, maybe F-3. Who knows? Out of state plates, comes pushing into the parking lot.
Starting point is 00:07:44 We are a land of farmer, so it's not foreign to see a big-ass truck up here. But comes pushing into the parking lot, parks does this thing. And then maybe I have my time off a little bit here. But as I'm, like, getting out of the parking lot, he's also leaving. I assume it's a he, I should say. I didn't see the driver. But what do I hear? But the intro to this very podcast.
Starting point is 00:08:07 I should have queued Randy to like. like drop the beat at that moment. And I kind of froze. They didn't stop. They kind of slowly made sure I could hear it. And then they turned, went onto the street. I'm just like, that's, I know that beat.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Like it absolutely know that beat. Let's assume it was just this one. What if, uh, but you get the vibe. What if instead of the podcast intro, you heard saxophones. What a great. Uh,
Starting point is 00:08:38 What a great Twitter thing. Yeah. But yeah, like they just kind of throw a low and it's like, or they don't even know if they threw it. They threw low. I responded by just kind of showing up the deuce like in a real sad dude way. Wait, so you think this person was doing it like kind of like a check this out? Or do you think it was like that person? Do you think maybe they didn't notice you?
Starting point is 00:09:01 They definitely did. I confirmed this yesterday. In fact, we were talking about feedback from yesterday's episode. That's how this all came to be. I wasn't in the chat yesterday like I typically am. I'll lurk a little bit sometimes. But when I got time, I'll throw out some, some vibes. But yesterday, I joined real late in the show.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And somebody mentioned, hey, I didn't see it drop off this morning. And I'm like, oh, there was somebody lurk and there was a shooter in the mix. So I still don't know who they are, haven't met them, but have confirmed that there's a backer whose kid also attends my kid's daycare. They're out there. Just hit you with the. Exactly. That's what it cut. Windows down? Windows down.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Windows down. Yes. So my vehicle or vehicle, it is one of those ones where you, I don't know if it's just poorly made or if this is just not that big of a deal. But even if I'm completely rolled up, if I park in a parking spot and you are next to me, you can probably hear what I'm listening to. So I have to be aware of that when I pull in the parking lot. It's like so I'm very much like, don't want to pull up next to them listening to this. It's kind of embarrassing or don't want her to hear me bumping this. I hate that you have that that you know of that vulnerability. In fact, like it's probably the same for me, but I keep telling myself, maybe the sunroof was open or something.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Like maybe when I got back to the, you know, because you'll have the car running in the garage, usually when people discover this and the car is on playing something. You'll go back to the car and you're like, oh, shit. This is just the volume people hear what I'm doing in here. Like, I'm here bumping Ella Langley. I'm not actually, but whatever. You listen to Stella Lifty? You listen to Stella Lifty? We're not doing this again. Is Ella Langley wearing a wig? That's all I want to know for facts or not. I don't know what she looks like. Still L Lefty. She's Ella Langley is what I'm talking about. No, she's no. Is she doing a middle part?
Starting point is 00:11:11 or she's bang no she's heavy banged up oh yeah she banged out so uh william hong she does bang for sure none of our listening audience wasn't a lot she bang she bang of course what i know that it's a killer reference
Starting point is 00:11:29 i'm just calling i'm just letting people know what i just did that season one i don't know two or three they wrong that guy they wronged that guy appreciate it i want uh oh there you go that i'm I'm showing Dave what Ella Langley looks like.
Starting point is 00:11:48 I knew what she looked like. It's the, it's Stella Lifty. Oh, okay, gotcha. It's that old troubadour, that old cowgirl, Stella Lifty. I wasn't really sure what she looked like, but her, she was just, she was born out there around, uh, around Pekasway. She was born in the, she was born in the dirt. I'm sorry, I don't know what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I was going to mix some coal for a cordial water. I really think it's a meridian, a putter that should, yeah, named Stella Lefty. If Will had the Stella Lefty, maybe he would have won that a Trumbackie Open or a beer. Could be a beer. Oh, a Stella, Stella Lefty. Something to think about.
Starting point is 00:12:25 A bottle that's made specifically for left-handed drinkers. When I'm listening to Stella Lefty or Ella Langley or any other female country artists because I support women in country music, I'm probably wearing my Tukovas boot. And they're almost assuredly pointed west. anywhere worth going this summer, it's better and comfortable boots. So just do that. Find your perfect pair with Tukovas. I want KJ to pull up to drop off rocking some Tukovas boots.
Starting point is 00:12:53 KJ is already a man of height. What are you like, 6-2, 6-3? 6-2, depending on what program you open. What do you run? The dock is what the Tukovas. I think that's the style that I own. Yeah, I want KJ, I want you to kind of just really embrace drop-off in your Tikova's. Dylan's been rocking the cartwrights, the all-black ones that he can wear jeans.
Starting point is 00:13:14 He can wear it with some slacks, a suit. I've got a smooth ostrichs that I love. They're handcrafted with over 200 meticulous steps for broken and comfort right out of the box. Order them online. You get them. You put them on. It feels like you've owned them for years. Go to the store.
Starting point is 00:13:29 There's two in Austin, one domain, one's side of Congress. You put them on. It feels like you've owned them for years. I love the, I like going there, even if I don't like have a plan to buy anything just because it's an unparalleled experience with the expert staff, complimentary beverages and customizations. They'll brand your own. your boots if you want them.
Starting point is 00:13:46 You can get something wacky, Randy, if you want. Or you can get your initials. There's really, there's really, you know, no right or wrong answer. Toccova's Heritage made cowboy boots are crafted in over 200 steps in Leon, Mexico. From the first ditch to the final lemon wood peg, Tukovas boots are made in over 200 steps by hand. Check them out. Shop Ticova's Western goods online at Ticovis.com or go by the store, a Ticova's store,

Starting point is 00:14:34 It was 24 bags of sunflower seeds. I know everyone was wondering. hilarious a amount. It's $2.50 per bag. I don't think there will be anything you need to edit out of this show, Randy, but we'll see. Okay. we missed this yesterday Akron
Starting point is 00:14:52 Ah yes yes yes This is that time successful bit You know I thought people were going to universally hate this And it went the other way They went on They went on that guy The guy who stands up and has
Starting point is 00:15:11 They're gonna they're gonna have like their athletic department on the Macafee show They're blowing up Oh is that is that the case sees they're in McAfee attention here. Yeah, several sports personalities. Oh, I see it here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pat McAfee Show, ESPN Radio today.
Starting point is 00:15:29 They have officially sold out all football suites. This is Akron football for the first time in program history following its viral play calling promotion for season ticket holders. So if you were a player, you're at Akron, you know, you're playing ball. That's all it matters. You just want to play ball. Your first game is against, it's like Robert Morris? I don't even. Yeah, Romo.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Okay. We're not doing that. But a season ticket holder is going to get to script the first drive, or is it just called the first play? I don't know. It just feels it. It is inherently unsurious, but if it's driving money to the program, that's good. So where are you at on this?
Starting point is 00:16:16 As long as there's an opportunity for like a make, a wish kid to call like a very pivotal fourth down and then hell i don't know your favorite booster gets to decide uniforms that week like whatever it may be i'm all for the bits i would probably have i would probably not be thrilled to stick around beyond this season especially if our success was you know in line with acrin's history um feeling like i'm playing for the flint tropics because that's what the vibe is right now. The offer includes a pregame press conference, presser, pregame presser, being miced up with a headset and play sheet and being in the coach's box during the game.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Dude. Have you seen what USC does? This is not off track. And what USC does for like similar situations, boosters or you can buy the opportunity to do this run out with the team out of the tunnel. no i have not but at the coliseum and notably last year at some point in their recent history like a fan of a opposing team bought that opportunity went out with this go pro you know rocking his hat from his other team or whatever is what it is kind of like baylor sends out the yellow jerseys it's kind of that vibe but maybe not as many kids i don't know the tradition student line i know baler sends out a bunch of yeah i'm a t-shirt
Starting point is 00:17:43 bunch of, I'm a T-shirt fan. I don't know. I don't know. But either way, these aren't foreign opportunities to be around or be involved with the program. What am I get, what I'm getting at is like,
Starting point is 00:17:54 I would draw the line at like, what exposure do I want to be around a room full of testosterone men on like, they're fully dialed up to 11 day. And I'd say I'd stop about the point where like the fly-in ends. Like, I'd travel with the team. I might even see them off to train. table, but once their lights are on and they're in full blown, like, go get it mentality,
Starting point is 00:18:19 I am not trying to be in the coach's booth with a fucking coach on game day. That seems like the worst possible experience you could ever ask for. Did you watch the bear this season? No, I have not watched any of Caleb Williams this season. I also, I also got caught up on the show. No, but you have seen some dancing bear, right? Hey, no, there's a, there's a scene where like they've over, look, spoiler alert, cousin over books, and they've got to like move some people out of tables. So like they take a couple that's there, they need their table.
Starting point is 00:19:03 They bring them into the kitchen and they just lurk in the buka. They just lurk in the kitchen. They're just like, oh, I'll be damn. That's some serious garlic mince in there. They don't say that. But you know what I'm saying? And so they're just there, and they're there lurking. And at first, it's like, oh, hey, yeah, you know, Karmie's like, oh, yeah, hey, I'm Karmie.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I'm, I'm, I'm very damaged, man. Fuck. That's my Karmie impression. You ever seen the show? I've never seen it, but I can see that's what it's like. Thanks. But anyway, they are there and what they've worn out, they're welcome, and it's very uncomfortable. And that's probably how this goes.
Starting point is 00:19:36 But you have to keep reminding yourself if you're the, if you're an offensive analyst there, making Tom Herman money, $25 an hour. Um, this is bringing money into the program. And if this is what it takes, you're at, you're at Akron, okay? You got to get some money somehow. Ooh, Dylan is big about that. He wants an in studio audience. What if we had the backers be able like, all right, and then they get to pick one
Starting point is 00:20:01 segment that we have to talk about. It's honestly not about it. Dylan voted for this. Yeah. Dylan wants in person people like a little couch here. I don't, I don't, I don't know. It's not a we could do it. It's just not a great idea.
Starting point is 00:20:22 I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that Carson Daly is a very famous and successful being he did it. So Dillon's point of references, the Bobby Bones show, which doesn't get enough talk that Dylan's like a secret bonehead. A diehard syndicated radio talk show host fan. That's that's Dylan. Like he'll say he doesn't listen every day. day, but that's the media he consumes is Bobby Bond.
Starting point is 00:20:47 I respect. A lot of people do. We're not going to debate the merits of that. Back to the football thing. I just feel like being in the booth and you know, let's say it's successful, whatever, the moment that series ends, they're going to be like, all right, get the fuck out of here. Yeah. There's a PR person like waiting to the buffet.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Watch in their clock. Open bar. We got open bar in the suite, dude. Let's go. Oh, hey, you want to go down on the field? they don't need to be in the booth is all I'm saying. Like they should be able to do anything they're going to do from the sideline so that they don't have to like violate that realm. The booth looks miserable.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And it should. And because it's very stressful. You have like, you know, a lot of times you've got your coordinator and you got your, uh, your assistants, your spot.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah, your spot your, your analysts up there. And everybody looks like they've had about 12 cups of coffee. You know it smell crazy in there. Like just stress. The rooms are never big enough. No.
Starting point is 00:21:48 They never look comfortable. No, just bad coffee breath. People who haven't slept. Guys just on like just drinking monsters. There's probably some adderall mixed in. It's hell. And you don't want some guy who owns a dealership. And he's like, oh, yeah, I was class of 84.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Yeah. That's how they talk. Hey, can I meme on the air real quick? This is trademark and protected if it's not actually out there. But has anybody meme this with the nerd kid from a little. Giants who drew up the annexation of Puerto Rico for the coach. Randy, look that up. If that's not in any of the replies, that needs to be our response to this.
Starting point is 00:22:27 I would just be doing Jason Garrett bits. I would just be clapping. I would be the clapper back there. That would be my, uh, yeah. Because you know this person's going to get air time. Like this guy's going to be on sports center. You got to go fucking 80s garb for from the school. You're dialed in like you've.
Starting point is 00:22:46 been on the staff for 80 years. Growing out a beard for a month in advance, just a Foo Manchu at the day of, you'd be like, if y'all are ridiculous enough to be like, you're so high and mighty and better than Romo, who's practicing them, you know, they put on their socks one at a time too across the field that you disrespect them like this and I'm going to show up, dress like that, I was going to say Will Farley, Chris Farley, as your coach that day. I don't hate it, but I would hate it. if I was anywhere associated with the team.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Yeah. It's funny, though, and it's, it's, it's apparently worked. I mean, it's, I hope it's successful. Yeah. It's like fan control of football. Wasn't that what Johnny Mansell was doing? He was, yeah. I don't know if that lived past that one weekend.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Probably not. Because it turns out you can do fan controlled football with that controller and, uh, that's what I was thinking. I was going to make a gif of the, the scene in the comebacks when the coach is like, he's still, he knows all my plays. He's just playing Madden.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Yeah. That's how, oh yeah, popular movie though. There's a lot of, it's an underrated of those like shitty charities. It's an underrated one for sure. This play or this tweet response has already been done almost assuredly,
Starting point is 00:24:07 but it's, I mean, like you're calling like everybody's like, oh, I'm calling fake. Like, oh, dude, this is me 10 beers deep calling a fake punt. For me, like the go-to gimmick play would have,
Starting point is 00:24:16 it's flea flicker for me. just flea flicker on first down that's the ladder flea flicker one of the two that's all players will fuck it up and you'll get shaned after that you're like we're done with this bit as soon as a player fucks up something
Starting point is 00:24:32 it's not your fault wide open fade player catches it run down field the player fumbles after catching the ball and they're going to look at you like this guy out of here or just like QB1 throws like a hospital ball like like
Starting point is 00:24:44 you get a delay like a rain delay mid first drive or a targeting penalty that's under review and it's like an elongated first drive. I'm assuming they're going to be like a, you know, 20 and a 20 and a half point favorite that open. I hope. But what if like it just doesn't work? In fact, it's just like absolutely. There's a 30 for 36 years from now. It's like how this one marketing ploy like took down the entire program.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Well, Robert Morris has been talking about it ever since. I'm sorry. Romo, the cigarette empire. And Limbo in the chat says an opportunity bet on a punt on the first down, then call the play. So you can get this with a little bit of Cali-Shee Polymark. It's good.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Great. Great. We can bet on which three-star is going to commit to Akron. Finally, thank goodness, can finally bet on this stuff. They have come out, by the way, reference to yesterday's show, Polymarking said this will apply to college. only college athletics but like
Starting point is 00:25:48 the signing day not wrapped up in college I don't know, whatever, we'll see I'll get my bowl blood somewhere else yeah, I don't know, I don't know, man a good way to end it. I don't know. I don't know, man. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Speaking of that, shout out to our buddy Jake throughout the first pitch at the Ranger game yesterday. Don't have yeah. This is a little similar of like a dumb zone Jake you know pro for a day average show experience. Yeah. Jake Kemp of the dumb zone. D.F.
Starting point is 00:26:29 South Air well aware. You know, good friend of both Fars. I don't like quick thousand foot view of this. He grew up with the brother who was supremely talented athletically and in a lot of ways. It's not necessarily direct motivation. but his brother was a Division 1 quarterback, Tulane, and, you know, has a rocket for an arm, took that rocket to then go join the Marines. It's like the supremacy of, like, being a man.
Starting point is 00:26:56 And I'm not saying Jake did this only because of his brother. But this is lingering in the background. Jake couldn't throw a football to save his damn life, no matter of the fact that he did play high school football in Texas, which whatever, as a wide receiver. He's played flag football. He's an athletic-ish guy. But more than anything, he is a person who will, like, get super committed to achieving a goal. And he's spent like over a year hiring a pitching coach, like doing all these things
Starting point is 00:27:24 because he wanted to be able to throw the ball with his kids. Wonderful, wonderful goal. He had an opportunity lined up with a, what you call it, minor league team with the rough riders and it got rained out or canceled for some reason. And so instead of rescheduling with minor leagues, they were like, why don't you just show up and pitch the middle of August? at the big leagues. So he went out there.
Starting point is 00:27:49 And we went on a guy's trip a couple weeks to go to Washington. And I'm not saying it was intentional, but if there were 12 guys there, I don't know when it got started, but eight of them brought their baseball gloves. And they spent a lot of time just playing catch.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Should I've ever seen. Sorry, I didn't say that. That's what somebody might say publicly. I didn't say that, though. Edit that. just dudes drilling each other with the ball meanwhile I'm like trying to cast a rod and reel and catch a fish or something I don't know what I was doing
Starting point is 00:28:23 Were they cracking hogs too? You could teach a man to fish Yeah well There are no fish that day anyhow He goes out and steps on the mound yesterday Lines up Pretty good looking pitch Pretty good good good good good
Starting point is 00:28:39 You throw a loss? Achievement in luck Good for him I immediately the first thought I had was like, I wonder what I look like throwing a baseball. I don't really want to know. Like I, in my mind, I am an adequate thrower of the baseball as someone who grew up playing baseball. But if I saw it on video, I would, it's like seeing your golf swing on video. It's very, even if you're a decent player, it's extremely humbling because you're immediately like, that's not what it looks like on TV. Like, that's not what the guy, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:29:08 And so, no, Jake did great. And as somebody who wrote a tricycle. around in minor league ballpark about two months ago. It's very nerve-wracking, and I was only in front of like, you know, six, seven thousand people, if that. He was doing it in front of a Wednesday crowd at Rangers Giants. Only a game and a half back. Only a game and a half back.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Got Cody Bradford back, first game in a couple years, looking good, clean outing, six innings. But anyway, good for Jake. Yeah, good for him, good for Cobra. Hopefully he went home. Cody Bradford, sorry. Did you, did you mistake him for Colby Lewis?
Starting point is 00:29:50 The Colbra? Code brough. Oh, okay. We're not doing code bruh. Is that what? I did forget about Colby Lewis. Yeah, sure. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Well, don't forget. I'll give you some space for this next story whenever we get to it. But yeah. Leave yourself some space for, I don't know, a great night's sleep. Maybe the best night's sleep you've ever had by way of Lisa mattresses. I made a lot of upgrades from my health in recent years. as you guys know. I choose not to talk about it. But if you ask, I'll tell you, I've done a lot of things. I've got new tracking tech, fitness equipment, things that were designed to improve my
Starting point is 00:30:26 daily life, but none of them have had the impact like my Lisa mattress. Why is that? Because sleep's so important. As a guy who's got two, two boys under the age of six, sleep's key, you know? You never know we're going to have to get up in the middle of the night because your two and a half year old thinks there's ants in his bed. That was me last night. Checked it out. My my flashlight on my phone. There's no answer. He just had a bad dream. Went right back to my Lisa mattress, fell right back asleep because Lisa is the best. I've got the hybrid, the legend hybrid cooling mattress, as does Dylan. It's a beautifully crafted mattress tailored to how I sleep. Starting point is 00:32:11 Quality start, though. Got the dub. Baseball talk. Built up big leap. To all my seam heads out there. Let's talk, let's talk Charlie Hull because we're only like two weeks late on this. You know Charlie Hull is?
Starting point is 00:32:28 Love starts. She smokes darts. She is a player of note, not only because she is often in the mix on the LPGA tour, but she is good looking broad. Whoa. Look, that's just the facts. That doesn't matter to me, but to somebody who might be a little more H, that might matter to them.
Starting point is 00:32:54 But not me. I like her ball striking. She hits fairways. Okay. I would say if, is it Sophie Cunningham? Is that the WMBA player? If Sophie Cunningham's your restoration hardware, then Charlie Hull is like, our whole is the, not Charlie Huff. It's like the home goods version.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Same category. Your house still going to look nice. I'm not mad at it. Details lacking a little bit, but you know, a little scratch are good. You know that Dave's wife actually got a wicker
Starting point is 00:33:28 witch's hat from home goods just the other day. That's true. I heard. Wouldn't fit a lot of people's heads. Especially not a pit bull head. Hey, not a lot of people thought,
Starting point is 00:33:39 not a lot of people had Charlie Huff getting name dropped on the show day noted a late 70s, 80s, a knuckleballer for the Texas Rangers, among other teams. But we got there. Sorry, man. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Sorry, man. I make that mistake all the time with her. What old, what old Chuckie hold in? The old get a fake lottery ticket and give it to your caddy and make him think his life has changed in a positive way. But guess what? It didn't.
Starting point is 00:34:13 You're still my caddy, bitch. Want me to play this? Yeah, how long is it? Yeah, just give it a play. 100 grand. 100 grand. Is it? What of you?
Starting point is 00:34:26 I swear to God. 100, yeah? It's 100. Find a cash bag to win a prize. He's found a cash bag with a hundred thousand on it. So English. Oh, no. Dinner's on you.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Good shot. Give him. Hold it. All right, pause it. They didn't do the reveal on Cam, though. Maybe they did. I will just say that she got all the, all the blowback for this. I guess that's just still shot.
Starting point is 00:34:59 What's that say? After he found out. After Charlie Fest. Yeah. Yeah. So everybody's like, okay, this, it was a, okay, I'm going to say only a hundred grand. It wasn't like he thought he just won the power ball. But he was probably in his head thinking,
Starting point is 00:35:14 I can go, you know, I'm an Englishman myself. I could go buy the finest fish and chips or the best tea and crumpets, you know, or any of the awesome food over there. I can go do all that stuff now and not have to worry about it. I can buy 10,000 potatoes or beans. Ooh, hungry. Yeah, anyway, this, I don't, everybody's like, you should just pay him 100 grand now. Make it right. I don't know if Charlie's got that kind of money.
Starting point is 00:35:44 She got smoked for this. She stood by it. It is kind of a, like, it's a very, it's a cheap prank. Yeah. Well, expensive prank, but not really. Good poll. It is how we revealed our first pregnancy to my in-laws. We went this route as Christmas is often overloaded with extra scratch-off tickets.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I think we went the fake scratch. off ticket route for that. So I don't hate the bit a ton, but you can't post pranks online without knowing that 100% of your audience does not have the context of the joke as the person being pranked does. So like, Charlie's not doing their Ashton Coucher shouts pranked move of like giving all of the backstory. Oh, her catty really loves playing Scratch off.
Starting point is 00:36:44 He got her in a similar manner the other day with the real one, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So whatever. It's also the employer-employee relationship as well, you know, you know, it's. Yeah, I guess there's that aspect, but still. And, you know, like, especially now with like the, the looming specter of communism over this country. Okay. People are just looking to pounce on something like this, but even though like 100 grand after
Starting point is 00:37:13 Texas. I mean, I was still like a hundred grand out there taxes. I was still like it. Especially English taxes. Oh, yeah, they'll tax you for eating in at a restaurant and not just taking your crumpets outside. I found that out. That's right. The king will hit you with a window tax if you have too many windows.
Starting point is 00:37:32 Look into that camera. Look into that camera right there. I want you to call out the king. You know what, King? I'm throwing your tea in the harbor because guess what? We the people do not like it. Yeah. Well, I could have been, I could have been a founding father. Dude.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Bro, name the four founding fathers right now. It's not, historically, it's not the worst surprise from a chart from Charlie. Like, oh, in the history of the time, like usually when you're surprised by Charlie out there, it's, it's a little bit more fateful. I'm taking a point. Taking a point. Vietnam jokes apply. I know she's English, but Vietnam jokes still apply. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Okay. That was a joke. Unbelievable. I was. Unbelievable. I was going different, Charlie. There goes that man. God.
Starting point is 00:38:27 The chat better be supporting that. I'm being. Bang! It's good. I think it's also the... Stop. Not only the employer employee. It's like that she makes probably a lot more money than him.
Starting point is 00:38:48 So that too, it's like, oh, like she's making much more. It's like, oh, look at you, you're going to make somewhat money to match what I'm making. Oh, we, not really. That's two. What if he was like, hey, why don't you want to, why don't you want to win a major? I want you to go ahead and win a major. Like, Charlie, is this your annual earnings or winnings for this year? Let's like up her career earnings.
Starting point is 00:39:12 That's a good, I'm sure it's higher than next. I think she has won a couple tournaments this year. Like if I was just hanging, And women are funny and earn a lot of money on And their sports endeavor So both of these things should be good Like I'm thinking like I'm walking down the street in Austin, Texas Elon Musk walks up and says,
Starting point is 00:39:28 Hey, I'm just giving out lottery tickets And then I do it and I scratch it off And I think I win like a million dollars He goes, ha ha ha, now it's really, Randy I'm gonna be like, oh, that's cool Thanks man, you're really rich I'm not weird shit
Starting point is 00:39:41 Yeah And he starts doing salutes of some sort What? Uh huh Take his jacket off start dancing he's gonna say now make it even more epic and he's gonna bring you a TV and they're gonna read off the powerball be like oh randy trebek you won this one ha ha ha not really let me go crash a rocket into the moon now ha ha see you later and then he then he leaps
Starting point is 00:40:01 exactly show up with a big check and I hand it to you and be like psych Charlie hole has earned over 12.7 million in her efficient intercare yeah less than bow hustler we were talking bohosser he's in the mix of the Windham earlier so I looked that up. Friend of the show, Bo Hostler. Good dude.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Anyway. Well, I don't really know. I don't look. I think it's just, it's just comedy, man. When did we? It's like,
Starting point is 00:40:31 is it illegal to make a joke? Yeah, comedy is illegal now. Comedy is illegal. You literally cannot do it. Yeah. What the hell? This isn't even a comedy podcast.
Starting point is 00:40:43 And you don't. Be careful. The Reddit will come at you. You ready many like negative comments about communism. They'll start making assumptions about you. By the way, there's something on the, there's something on the Reddit right now. Kedja, have you been to the Reddit today?
Starting point is 00:41:01 No, I was just wondering. If Randy would last longer than Luigi, because somebody implied that Randy would United Healthcare, somebody for, uh, for doing the pulling this on. I want you just, I'm going to pull it up. I just want to get your live reaction of what's on the front page of the subreddit right now my front page my reddit i can't even show you to be very frank with the circling back um circling back let's see what's up top uh is are we looking at
Starting point is 00:41:33 dornav i'm looking at best we're looking at newest give me a moment hang in there you'll know when you see it oh dear god no i can't go back and see that no i can't go back and see that no no we're not even now that's not going on the frame similar to the legendary bendy tweet which was hard for people to find uh for a while we don't need to show this in this one you've already given the location to find this you can go find it if you wonder what we're talking about it's another hot dog at it that's all we'll say blurst probably should be hit with a uh spoiler veil and you can't just be scrolling past that i was thrown off because there's an ad you know this ad post in the middle so there's an image was like
Starting point is 00:42:17 This has nothing to do with the show. Don't get it. And then I saw it. Somebody who lives near the National Mustard Museum, Middleton, Wisconsin. Oh, mustard first. Yeah. I don't appreciate the usage of mustard in this piece of art. Mustard first would be a funny, like, parody, like political parody.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Like, if somebody needs a new, like, bone to run, like, chew on, do, like, a mustard first. It's like Brett running for office on, like, a mustard first. It's like Brett running for office on, like, a. Mustard first platform. Of course, the joke here is America first. Ah. But it's mustard. Mm.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Mustard first. It's always a good bit if you have to explain it. Uh-huh. El Glyzadente, you don't think he's mustard first? Um, great question. Is that his party? Is that his platform? How do we not think of this before?
Starting point is 00:43:10 What was the one I said? The Frankenfeure. I think he would be more mustard first. I don't remember that. The Frankenfeure. Yeah. I can't even follow this shit, man. We do too many shows.
Starting point is 00:43:24 There's too many bits. See, that's what it feels like to you, but you got to remember. Not everybody's getting 100% of the shots. You got to repeat some shit. Yeah, I know. But it's just me. I'm like, wait, what did we do? That'll be one where Dylan probably hasn't seen it.
Starting point is 00:43:42 And when he does, he's probably going to be like, hey, don't, don't put this one on the war frame. We can't, this one, we're not, this one's too far. I mean, look at the warframe right now. We got, we got, we got you on the head and you, I can't, they can't see it right now, but it's right. You want to hinging your jaw and then you and that silly Nordstrom hat. First, the world's, the Arab pit boss, Hata Matar and I, and me and an Arbiz polo. I got range. He's got range.

You've been champing at the bit. Yesterday, you were like, dude, we've got to talk Hall of Fame game. And I was like, no, let's save it for tomorrow since the game's tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:45:30 And you're like, no, I, dude, I want to talk because I'm putting a big boy stack on it. And I was like, dude, just calm down. So here you go, dude. Here's your effing segment. really the only reason I care about the Hall of Fame game is it's kind of the unceremonial beginning of what is hey what am I betting on when do I need to be in front of a TV what's the weekend look like that cycle starts essentially you know next week in earnest today is kind of a little taste and then we'll go until late January so it's kind of a wake-up call to remember that football season is 9. Dude. Tonight we've got the,
Starting point is 00:46:14 we're in the month. Check it out. KJ. I woke up this morning and looked at the calendar and saw that it's August 6th. That means football's close. Can you believe it? Dude, that's so freaking sick. I'm just going to be sitting at my place in front of the TV with beers this weekend.
Starting point is 00:46:34 I haven't watching football, just imagining what's going to be like in a couple weeks. I got, I got clean and sober for my family, but it's football. all season. So I'm about to go fucking crazy. It's called offseason sober. Yeah. So game starts.
Starting point is 00:46:54 It's Carson Beck and the Arizona Cardinals. Jordan, not Jordan Love. What is the name? Whoa. What's Love's name? Peterson. Running back.
Starting point is 00:47:05 I don't know why I'm completely whiff in here. Uh, running back from Notre Dame. Jeremiah Love. Jay. Jeremiah. Thank you. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Jordan Love in Wisconsin, Green Bay, and Jeremiah Love, blah, blah, you get it. Jeremiah Love, I don't know if he's playing how many carries he'll get, whatever, but you get Carson Beck action. That'll be interesting. There's no Kyler in Arizona. It's always good to be reminded of, like, some of the substantial changes that happen in the NFL year to year. Over on the Panthers side, I'm not going to break this down line by line, by the way.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I have no idea what they've got going on except for I think Kenny Pickett's going to get a lot of play. And then you remember a name that I'm not even remember Jamal? I can't think it's last thing. What? What's the running back for Texas who tore up his knee and he's on the Panthers. He was the, you know, before B. John or after. I don't know, man, I should be better at this.
Starting point is 00:48:06 See, I'm not in mid-season form. Dude, but just wait when he is. he's got to have a beer Jonathan Brooks is who I'm going for Not your mom damn Thanks Jonathan Brooks
Starting point is 00:48:18 Maybe you'll get to see him in action Nobody cares Oh dude what But I was preparing for this week forgetting that Dylan was not going to be on This is usually the time of the year With that I would teach you all with the check in on baseball
Starting point is 00:48:33 Who's leading each division question Like how much do you actually know The Rangers have been sneaky good So I feel like you're low-key like up-to-date on baseball this year. What I want to ask you about, who are the two head coaches who are going to be on sidelines tonight of the Panthers and the Cardinals? You got season ticket holder one?
Starting point is 00:49:01 Season ticket holder two. I was just looking at up. I was just thinking I wanted to talk Marvin Harrison, Jr. as well. That's how I was looking up just because he's. Well, once I say, let's hit these coaches real quick. We'll finish with Marvin real quick. Wait, okay. Hang on.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Hang on. Hang on. No, it's okay. You don't have to even give these two. I want to see if you can just, you don't have to give me all 32, but we're going to bring up the roster photo of all the NFL coaches. Yes. And I apologize. If there's a loud vacuuming noise in the background, I can try.
Starting point is 00:49:31 It's very, it's very quiet. I was very confused. Yeah. I'll, I'll turn on my noise here. You know, you got people here cleaning up the house. neither and schedule it. Let me work on this. Turn this bad way up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Okay. Is it Lovie Smith? So you have a photo up. What's up? Lovie Smith. Is he one of the? Lovie Smith is not one of the fellers in this photo. Do you have the class photo up for all the head coaches?
Starting point is 00:50:02 David, I sent this to you because it's a little bit blurry. Shouts to the rich eyes and show us. It's like surprisingly hard to get this like clear photo from anywhere. Just at first. glance you don't need to name 32 but uh let's see one of the two coaches I just asked you about the fella on the left with the V neck on you recall his name second row it's a day can all this yeah there you go you're cheating ass you're cheating ass I didn't get the slack from you by the way I well you I didn't see on
Starting point is 00:50:35 the list my bad my bad um who's the fella next to Dave Canales may recognize his face That's okay. Blurie's okay for this one. You should know this one. Which, the man of size? Uh, no. Well, either of them, actually. Give me either of those two. Oh, that's, um, uh, that's our, that's our, that's our boy. That's Boise State. That's, uh, you realize why I'm not giving you slack. You should know both of these individuals. Yeah, yeah. That's, that's, uh, that's our boy, uh, Norland Saints own Kellanmore. There you go. And then big Mike McCarthy, standing next to him on his on on on dave is he wearing like is mike wearing a skinny tie
Starting point is 00:51:21 i don't know what mike's doing i just i just realized that that wasn't the guy from uh parks and rec to be honest that's not jerry jerry uh front of the show true james jim o'hare and uh there was only one other here that i absolutely did not know at first glance and it's again it's all blurry running with it anyway but front row on the right You have any earthly idea. Oh, are that Cubs? Who? Is that Cubs?
Starting point is 00:51:54 I don't know. I wish I had to answer for you. All right. I think that's, I think that's, his brother was a possession and a possession receiver and a stud blocker. There we go.
Starting point is 00:52:10 I just got my photo up back to you. Yeah, his brother was a problem on the outside. All right. So, yes, Kubiak front right. I'm sorry. I was thinking whenever I have my pictures backwards now that I'm realizing this. Who's the second fella on the front row on the left and switch that other photo? Give me, I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:52:30 This guy? I know. Yeah. This is the one that I saw and I was like, wait, who in the hell is this? This is where I was like, I don't know any of these people. That guy's so software at first. Exactly. That got worse.
Starting point is 00:52:43 But you get Jesse mentor. You get whoever the hell's coaching the dolphins after that. It was a quick reminder of like last year I feel like we got a lot of hot coaches hired This year we got a lot of coaches I just don't recognize Kubiak being like the most reputable and good looking dude But You know the blurriness is one thing
Starting point is 00:53:03 But this is just a bad batch of looking dudes I feel like Yeah I've been saying the league needs to get a little uglier Is that what you've been saying? So we're not tracking packages on today's episode. Too many McVeigh, like, oh, man, look at me, dude. I'm fucking, I got the will by the balls. Man, just calm down, dude. Who's that, uh, that former? You mean man spreader up front didn't exactly who you're thinking of? Man, where's this? I have this. Byrabel right there.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Yeah, I'll just say, what's this guy's deal? Where's Vrabel's new puppy? Because I had some, I had some, some questions I wanted to ask him, but I'm thinking twice now that he has a puppy. just something it's changing the way I look at things anyway all right sorry I couldn't get this in 4K vision to be able to zoom in
Starting point is 00:53:56 and make that an actual like usable photo but yeah I don't know shit about the NFL is really the subplot there so let's go back to Marvin Harrison Jr. Well real quick is that so that's the vacuum I'm hearing or is that is it still in background I'm sorry I'm sorry
Starting point is 00:54:11 it sounds like a beep it's a vacuum okay that's all right I could probably try to edit out in post, but you've done that before. I did stuff on a post. Yeah, in the last 24 hours. I hope we can edit something in the post. Go fast and loose. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Hey. Who's this junior feller? No, it's not. It wasn't. It was just, he's, people are wondering, like, what's going on here? Is this guy going to catch the ball? Had a case of the drops. And I'm just curious.
Starting point is 00:54:43 I don't even know if he's playing tonight. So did I over the weekend. what does that mean like tum-tum yeah like everything okay i don't know if i've ever ever heard him called the drops now you have i don't have i kind of like you have okay we're trying to daze trying to figure out uh an acronym for his his his his thing so i'm out here i'm over thinking the thing and i don't know i just maybe if it's just going to be pulling a d i don't know brett said p a d pulling up doing a pad pulling a day we need to figure out how to market this uh this whole your wife or your you know husband's out of town making a nice meal for yourself we don't need
Starting point is 00:55:24 abbreviation for can i just throw that out in the uh why a bullpen of like you don't need to breathe this i thought we did i get that the l dave was great because uh it is a drink and it's an orderable drink but it might be the new dave it needs just i know i just people aren't I don't know what it is. And maybe that's the beauty. But I was thinking of like an acronym that kind of spelled it out a little bit for you, so to speak. You want something that has more mass appeal.
Starting point is 00:55:52 It was more like a, you know how like most thing is make out? What is that you always say you used to do? Make out suck. I believe it's suck teas is what it is, which I had not even heard about it. So I was looking for like wife gone, grill steak. And that doesn't, it's not, I don't know. I don't know, man. We'll just call it a Dave.
Starting point is 00:56:13 just don't like it. Look. Oh, we lost KJ. He'll be back. Give it all back. Ooh, I look good today. Anyway. He wants to say, Dave just wants something new for himself and. No, I don't want it. Yeah, he doesn't want to be.
Starting point is 00:56:29 He doesn't want to be. He doesn't want to be. The me bit. I mean, it is, I will say, this is my bit. Yeah. But I'm not the, I'm certainly not the first to do this. I'm just the one who brought it to a podcast. Go off solo meal. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Gossel. Gossum? Gossum. Yeah. I got Gossum. I don't know. Maybe I'm going to do it this weekend. Let's find out in this weekend and fun, presented by Meridian Putters. Bro, let's go out this weekend.

Starting point is 00:58:41 And go hit them with the follow-on-soci. go go on their instagram give them a follow good content there uh kj hey hey you're back i'm back what did i miss i apologize i did hear the wonderful meridian reed but i miss whatever what are you doing this weekend for that are we doing this weekend and fun okay yeah i got you covered i'm ready for that ready for that um this is another great weekend to be here in madison wisconsin i've got an event that was rescheduled from last week and due to rain which is end of summer pool party in the neighborhood here. So you get a lot of silent auction situations.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Apparently there's a lot of, uh, competitions. Apparently belly flops. Throw your kid the furthest. Chug a beer, swim across the pool kind of thing. It's like we get a little rowdy. Be a little rowdy.
Starting point is 00:59:39 A lot of rowdiness. Yeah, but it's all just deployed just to help fund repairs. And we don't have an HOA, a formal one, but we have a pool. membership thing. So it's just to fund the pool. I love that. Amenities. So that's going on.
Starting point is 00:59:55 We had a neighborhood pool and it was the end of year party was a lot of fun. A lot of cookout stuff and, you know, they turned the hot tub down for everyone so the kids can actually go in it. It was a lot of fun. It was always a look forward to at the end of the year. It's always a big moment when the kids can pee in a different thing of water. Yeah. We have a shallow like kitty pool thing. It's like a foot deep at the, mushroom does water or whatever and then like a four foot rectangle volleyball pulls there's three different pools the teens dominate the pool the volleyball area because there's basketball goals in
Starting point is 01:00:29 either side and then they take the net down toddlers that usually are in a little one most of the adults are in the big pool so it's usually a good scene i've not been to this um i've been warned that it gets a little bit chaotic so we'll see how long i'm there if i'm not there i did promise that I would tell some of the good people that your boys had a hell of a run. I'll try to look to continue that look at popping some packs. Oh, hell, yeah. Some old Pokemon there.
Starting point is 01:00:57 Shout out to Misty illustration rear there that we got recently. And then a couple big boys that, you know, would make the people jealous out there. A couple SIRs. So, yeah, just keeping my finger on the pulse of the market for some cards. continuing to manage my investments, my sealed Pokemon investments, that is,
Starting point is 01:01:21 and just chilling. Are you reselling? You reselling packs? You scalping? I'm not a scalper yet. I'm not scalping anything. But I've built up this collection at some point in time. I need to go to a show,
Starting point is 01:01:38 trade it to some other sweaty midlife crisis, enduring individual, so that he can give me a box of cards. that will give me a joy for about 18 minutes. Nice. Awesome. That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish we had something like that.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Might smoke some pork tenderloin, too. That's the only thing you had the fridge. Baring the lead a little bit. Might smoke some pork tenderloin. Randall, you smoking these meats? What are you doing? I'm not smoking these meats. I know today is not the weekend,
Starting point is 01:02:08 but I think might go see the new Spider-Man movie tonight. I need to see it this first opening week. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Did you have to see it at IMAX? Otherwise it doesn't count. I don't know if it's on it. I have only seen a Dolby cinema, which I don't know what to do. As of this week, it's IMAX.
Starting point is 01:02:24 They're splitting theaters with, um, Odyssey. Odyssey and Spider-Man as of now. But, you know, it's still breaking records. Her good things, you can watch it on X if you are really hard off to watch it. Nah, no. I'll go, I'll go in, in, uh, a theater and go watch it. So, because I feel like a movie like that, you have to watch within the first. week or the next week, all the memes are going to spoil it.
Starting point is 01:02:47 You usually have a week buffer. So I'm going to go see that this weekend, mainly just trying to get outside or and get out of town. I think that's what me and the girlfriend are trying to do, maybe go somewhere nice, maybe like not Fredericksburg, but Fredericksburg-esque, where it's, you know, a nice little town, or maybe go to Barnum Springs. We're just trying to, you know, get out of the city for a little bit, I think. Quick question.
Starting point is 01:03:10 I probably could text for Andy about this, but he mentioned something. nobody called you out on it and I appreciate you for you and you're the only person who do something like this. But you and the Sigav have been living together for a brief amount of time. You mentioned something the other day that stood out to me and I was like WTF, Wendy, all just sit around and say like, hey, we're doing this. What's this cup collection? Oh, so I mean, Austin, a lot of these restaurants just have like plastic cups like Donato and Lill Easy Do. Mainly we have friends over at the pool and then I went up to me. make pinocaladas and then I realized I didn't have anything in my you know house that wasn't glass
Starting point is 01:03:49 to bring down to the pool so I was like all right we should just like we want to start collecting these cops mainly so that we can make mixed drinks or frozen drinks and bring them to the pool and it's like a nice little thing just have little restaurant to keepsakes from a cute around did you get an iCUP what what we have we do have people in the chat giving us some some ideas for your alternative to a pull in a Dave. You want to hear some of these? Because I don't have much more of my weekend. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:21 Let me give you, hold it for a set because my weekend's pretty boring as well. I'm going to attempt the third, the third, third Sammy swim lesson. It's honestly becoming a real tough part of my week because it's, I don't want to complain, but it's weird.
Starting point is 01:04:42 They're acting like they've never encountered. a two and a half year old who's like doesn't want his dad to leave and like they're they don't really like know what to do even though I'm like this no way this is the first kid who so anyway it's just very uncomfortable for me and I'm going to do it and I'm not paying money for it again they're complimentary this month so uh whatever I shouldn't complain about it it's otherwise a really good swim program there um yeah we'll go straight from there to the pool put in another three and a half four hours at the pool uh be tired as hell on saturday it's hot as f down there isn't it huh yeah it is hot as hell right now dude my saturdays and it was like man are y'all like mild down there too
Starting point is 01:05:25 i'm like no i posted a story i posted a story to uh circling back last saturday night and it was me talking about the uh pulling a day phenomenon whatever and i mentioned that i'd cracked a couple high noons and somebody responded like dude are you hammered first of all you're a nark but second of all I was like that's why I told him second of all no I've had two I'm just fucking tired as hell I was at the I didn't get a nap in and I was just I'm tired I'm at the pool I'm at the indoor pool from 930 to 10 15 and then 10 15 to 1 30 at the outdoor pool it's just a long damn day dude it's it's a lot and I would say the outdoor pool is probably the bigger beating although.
Starting point is 01:06:12 Yeah, it is. Rel. I'm supposed to say, whatever, fuck. Relieve yourself of the stress of parenting when you've got free lessons by somebody who volunteered to go be around two-year-olds. Let them deal with what they signed themselves up for. Your kid is no worse than anything else they see. It's worse for you than it is for them.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Well, I got in the lane and there's, and I'm like, okay, so last week it didn't go, I mean, it didn't go poorly, but I just had to do the whole lesson. and I was just doing it, what you're doing with the other kid. I'm doing it with my son. I was like, is there like a better way to do this? She's like, well, yeah, we usually just like recommend the parent, like, hand the kid over to the coach and then leave, like disappear for like 10 minutes. I'm like, okay, well, I'm already in the water holding the kid. Like, why didn't you could have used this might have been the way to do it.
Starting point is 01:07:00 But now it's like, that's not going to work now. So anyway, we'll see. It's not that big of a deal. I'm just looking for something to complain about. I apologize. They're great. No, it's okay. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:07:09 I want to hear. And other than that, I'm going to maybe drink three high noons. And I might even go live from circling back. I haven't had a good live that I haven't read, that I regret in a long time. So might be time. Week zero live.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Week zero live is going to happen. I'm just going to tell the people out there at some point in time during week zero, we're hopping on live. Dude, there's no way. You expect me to get on live. I'm going to be locked into the screen the whole time. There's no way I'm going to be able to do anything on live.
Starting point is 01:07:36 Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to literally have enough Wi-Fi bandwidth, because I'm going to have. have like four or five different games going on different screens. I need all my screens to be on a game. So it's like, dude, I'm really going to have like use my phone because I'm going to have, I'm probably going to have a Mac game on my phone. If you want to tune into hours of me just doing this. Yeah. Yeah, then maybe you want to go on our live because that's all you're going to get is just me just getting excited. Hell yeah. And plus I'm going to need my phone to make bets in real
Starting point is 01:08:05 time. That's true. Y'all done. No, yeah, we're done. Yeah, we're done. Maybe Dylan should just frame it in that way. I had to play the Dylan role for once and, you know, I'm not good at it. Oh, man. You want to hear some of these, you see that more of your weekend?
Starting point is 01:08:26 Yeah, no. The chats are good. Definitely means. Well, so, so Jake, Jake Beckman has been really going off on these. but here's some other ones. Spouseaway cook steak, S-A-C-S. I don't know if I like that one.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Wifeaway grill steak. That's Wags. That's already another, you know, acronym. I do really like this one. Cooking Dorolo style, riding solo. I do like saying it's a Dorolo style.
Starting point is 01:08:54 And then Jake back in. Jake has a lot here. Jake has a lot here. Let me see if you like any of these. Jason Dorolo. Oh, yeah, Durulu. DeRulo. Jason DeRulo.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Sorry, that's me. Jake says, personal unbothered steak session, P-U-S-S. Do you think that's a good one? He also has cooking one clean kill. C-O-C-K.
Starting point is 01:09:18 Do you think that would be a good one? What else? Clean kitchen, maybe. We're not going to do puss. We're not going to do cull. What about feasting on giant steak? F-O-G-S. He also did say,
Starting point is 01:09:32 Hung-W-M-M-M-M-Grill, and he hyphenated one- so it'd be hog. Okay. Dude's own rib bite night, Dorn. You're going, free range Angus tasting.
Starting point is 01:09:44 Okay. It's just way too, like, limiting and specific. You don't have to go free range Angus or whatever. But that's frat, dude.
Starting point is 01:09:52 Domestically autonomous, I don't know what the V word is eating. You got to come up to V something. It says Vittles. I don't know what that is. I don't know what Vittles is. I think they struggle with V2, but that,
Starting point is 01:10:04 is okay to domestically autonomous is just a good fucking combo of words for sure going to rule tonight i'm trying to think about how this if it's actionable derulo dinner derulo style is he is he he needs to get back in the geist no no no that would bury the lead he'd be known for something else he needs to only be known for this for falling down the red carpet stairs he got a fight too at a casino dandy i don't nobody remembers That though. I clearly do. Kind of. God, dude, in like 2009 before we went, like, when I was going out with Dallas people, like, that was like the ultimate pregame song. So fun. All right. Do you want my comments of the week, Dave? Yeah. All right. This is Randy's comments of the week. Jeff comments. When guys get testosterone, they should call it a T-bump. I think that's good. Okay. Brandon says, Dorn eats his hot dog bowls with three quarters of a hot dog. The perfect amount of slunks.
Starting point is 01:11:08 Slunk is it eggs, not that. But I do like thinking that Dylan only is three quarters of a hot dog. That would be, that would just, that would be enough for me. That would be my, my 13th reason. That guy does not eat a full meal. It's three quarters of a banana, probably three quarters of a burger, right? If you got one. If you see a clean, a clean plate or clean space person at a table, then I'm okay with it.
Starting point is 01:11:34 But if you're three-quarters person and you leave it in front of you, I can't do it. Can't do it. Sorry, I know that's not the point of the second. I don't know. It's easy to be a clean plate person when you throw half the stuff away. No, no, no, I don't mean clear it like eating at all. I mean, clearing it out of the way. I don't have to see that you left it on the plate.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Did anybody use AI slop to make Dylan do the Mario Lopez niece? No, we were talking about it, Baum. Did he take a picture of? him in parks at the actual game because we were Brett and I were debating that's the line that's the line though you don't want to have to have parks in there too you can't you can't do it a very generic definitely not parks
Starting point is 01:12:08 you have to substitute that with somebody who's like clearly not his son Quinn there's some good comments today I will say this week I will say Quinn says gonna pull a Dorn in Chicago like where's my big hog I'm sorry he's gonna pull up the door
Starting point is 01:12:24 like that Quinn if you actually do see him Please say, where's my big hog? That's really good. He just fucked up days bedtime routine. Yes, yes, yes. Trent has says very upsetting that Randy would accuse me of not sending him San Antonio Rex to him directly because I absolutely did DMM on X of the Everything app.
Starting point is 01:12:48 He showed me. And I did look. There was always like you had to create a passcode to go see your messages and I just haven't done it. I just did it. I have messages from 34 weeks ago. So if you've messaged me on X Everything app in the past 34 weeks, I have not seen it. Apologies on behalf of all of us.
Starting point is 01:13:07 So I'm sorry, Trent. That's the main reason I included that one. Just apologize. Jonathan says he would sip with Dill, puff with Randman, and sniff with the D man. Oh, thank you. I think. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:19 Anthony, lots of shooting web talk from KJ this episode. And on top of that, Chicken Joel says, two Webberonies, please. Okay, good stuff from Chubon. chicken Joel. And then my favorite one, last one here, Jake says, excited to announce that I have gone opto. So I had to give a big shout to that, of course. Thank you. Thank you. Shout to Jake. Shout to Jake. Well, KJ, you've filled in very, very well. Also, thank you
Starting point is 01:13:52 to Barrett for filling in earlier in the week. Check out oysters, clams, and cockles. Check it out anyway if you're in the Game of Thrones world. They don't do just that, but check out They're doing a hot D and I hopped on their Patreon with Barrett yesterday and did listener voicemails with them. And it was a lot of fun. These guys are really good. It's part of my weekend and fun. I'm watching the finale this weekend. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:14:14 Okay. Trying to self-nominate to do a wire episode with those boys in the future at some point. But yeah, they've great, great work over there. Are they still trucking through that? I think it's an offseason thing for them. So right now they're on hot D. But when they go back to it, I'm going to be front row, be like, hey, hey, hey. What about me?
Starting point is 01:14:30 about that was once known as like you know quizlets top rated quiz answer about the wire in 2018 or something really I don't know there was a quiz app that would give you like worldwide rating and it was like top 10 it's a moment of pride put that put that in the bio all right kate out we're out bye bye later up bye
