Starting point is 00:00:00 all right we're back circling back podcast coming to you live from our places of residence my name's will to freeze on the screen in front of me david ruff uh what's up hards what's up dc what's up dub d how y'all doing okay jt calm down over there buddy uh how you doing pards been a while gosh man uh yeah khan had a good take man jt calling everyone by their initials was pretty insuffering and suffer insufferable yeah i wasn't gonna call you out because it's early monday on a holiday when like i'm actually like we could we could have we could have easily not recorded today if we didn't want to but you know yeah we're grind boys my brain's catching up give me give me a
Starting point is 00:00:54 break over here that was bad though is the point i was trying to make it was in suffering dude it was suffering. I mean, T-Dub was the worst. Dylan Chivry, the thirst god himself. Hey, guys. Glad to be here. What's up, D-Chef? Big holiday weekend, man. Just trying to get through it right now, as you can tell.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Glad to be here, though. It's going to be a good week. I can feel it. Are you going to announce your next podcast that you're launching, Choppo Thirst Trap? I can feel it. Are you going to announce your next podcast that you're launching, Choppo Thirst Trap?
Starting point is 00:01:30 I'm sure we'll talk about that at some point. But not the podcast, but what you're referring to. No, Dave, I'm not starting a new podcast by that name. Thank you, though. Dave, you're at your parents' house. Does this limit your options for coffee and smoothie and other proprietary blends that you have it it does um but i will say that they've been uh grateful uh i'm grateful for them they're a gracious host is what i was looking for there um found it finally so i'm drinking some whatever they're squatting right now yeah it's not great uh my dad my dad made
Starting point is 00:02:07 breakfast tacos this morning which is dope i have not gotten any smoothies off which is uh unfortunate but i'll be heading back uh southbound 35 today hopefully getting a smoothie um man it's memorial day everybody out there take some time enjoy yourselves be safe i like the idea of anything but i'm just working that in i like the idea of you just sending your parents like a grocery list before you go home of like 80 worth of stuff for just coffee alone it's like no i need these collagen peptides because they have less of this in it so like make sure you get these ones so you're not far off like i'll get the call the week I'm coming back, and they'll be like, is there anything you want from the store? And I'm like, yeah, if you want to grab some cold brew concentrate.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I don't really care what brand. And then they're like, well, what do you want to drink? And my dad stocked up on the Singha that I've been in on, the Thai beer, the official beer of Thailand. So, yeah, Will, you're not that far off. Damn, dude. You put your parents to work. I'm high maintenance man yeah i mean how was your weekend will what's up with you dog nothing crazy
Starting point is 00:03:14 nothing crazy probably the most low-key memorial day weekend i've had in 15 years probably it's understandable um crazy times yeah so so pretty low key, man. I mean, the summer storm last night was a welcome surprise. You know, we had a little small get together for Sally's dad's birthday yesterday where I sat in the hot tub for about two hours and got real wrinkly. It was awesome. And yeah, outside of that, it was just pretty low key for your boy i wasn't trying to get too crazy this weekend and that's a lot of tub time
Starting point is 00:03:50 yeah i don't know i was feeling i was feeling low that'll drain you man well we did something we did something that no one does we we had we had our own proprietary hot tub method we got in when it was pool temperature and then as we sat in there it heated up and then as it heated up uh and it got too hot we decided to turn it back off and let it slowly cool down to its its normal temperature and as it turns out i think that's the only way i like doing hot tubs at this point instead of getting out it's like nope flip the switch let's cool this thing down yeah i don't think too many people are doing that no but did y'all get in the pool was the pool temp good or is it chilly yeah the pool pool temps uh i feel like in it's starting to get to that temperature in in uh austin and
Starting point is 00:04:38 i guess just texas in general where like i think all pools are warm at this point no matter what like because it's just too hot yeah that we had a our pool up here was pretty chilly because all the rain um so like uh the only people in were basically me me and my niece and nephew uh but yeah no i i cannot stand in like another month it'll be like too warm to even get in just because it's just like soupy. I hate a warm pool. How'd you get into the pool? Toothpick. I believe it.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I was swimming yesterday too, by the way. Huh. So I told y'all that last week when Lorna was here, we went exploring a little bit. So we took a trail down to the Barton Creek Greenbelt by my house. And we saw a little swimming hole down there called Sculpture Falls. Tight, super tight, but we weren't in our swimming stuff. Bathing suits, people like to call them. You were weirdly wearing joggers in that excursion, which I never called you out for,
Starting point is 00:05:49 but I was surprised you weren't wearing shorts. Yeah, it was actually the morning after that really big storm. So it was still a little bit cool, but it was muggy. Joggers were not the move. I can come clean on that one. But my sister and brother-in-law were over here yesterday. We went down there and went swimming for about an hour or so. It was quite refreshing.
Starting point is 00:06:14 It was nice. Huh. You better be careful. You don't want to call that out too much or else your swimming hole is about to get infiltrated. Dude, I will will before you got on i asked dylan i was like where'd y'all go yesterday because i assumed that y'all went to some cool austin place that's like 40 minutes away that i've never heard of no it's basically in his backyard yeah it's real close man i mean we didn't have to even get in the car we We walked straight from my front doorstep to the trail,
Starting point is 00:06:47 which is about 100 feet up the street, and walked down about a mile to get there. So it was a nice exercise with a little reward at the end, a little dip in some spring-fed creek. It was nice, man. I ought to take you all down there sometime. Yeah, man, totally. We could just go without you.
Starting point is 00:07:06 You could, but that would be rude since you would enter in right here by my house. Oh, can you bring dogs? No. Yeah, yeah. I considered bringing Stella. She's a little young for that trek quite yet. There's a descent near the end that uh a little rocky and
Starting point is 00:07:26 she wasn't ready for it yet but soon soon she'll be down there okay okay well we uh we're we appreciate you documenting the uh the event on your instagram yeah you're welcome dave for the record though the homie did not take those pictures. A lot of comments about Parks being my photographer on that hike. He was not with us. It was me, my sister, and brother-in-law. Which y'all should know from the angle of the camera, he's a little guy. He couldn't have taken those pics.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I mean, he could have. He could have been standing out. So you could have put a, put him on a tree stump or something. He loves tree stumps. Yeah. He's good at taking pics, but yeah,
Starting point is 00:08:13 that wasn't him. So did you, uh, you do some numbers on that Insta? Uh, not, not likes wise, but,
Starting point is 00:08:21 uh, comments wise, it might be the most commented on post I've, I've ever had. Engagements. Good. I have several questions about this, this post. I figured y'all would.
Starting point is 00:08:35 197 comments. Like that's a lot, man. That's, I mean, that's a lot. Yeah. Anytime you touch triple digits, you're good. Now you almost did double, triple or or 200 it's a better way of saying what's up well what are your questions okay okay question question one uh well my first question was obviously who took the photos hayley my sister at d chivery by the way
Starting point is 00:09:02 thank you yeah uh okay so your sister took the photos i i thought it might have been just the Haley, my sister. At D. Chivry, by the way. Thank you. Yeah. Okay, so your sister took the photos. I thought it might have been just the homie, like, I don't know, jumping and just like taking them or sitting in a tree stump. Or maybe he had like a new pogo stick or something. He was just bumping down the trail. But that makes sense. It makes sense that a taller human being would take those. Question two. So the first photo is a photo of you
Starting point is 00:09:25 shirtless the second photo is a photo of said swimming hole or sculpture falls as they call it and then the next the next three photos are you shirtless again so after like the first photo when you're shirtless it's like okay cool and then you put up the second one when you're shirtless and then you were like wait hold on just for good measure i'm going to do this third one and then it's like hold on let's do this fourth one but let me take you inside my brain a little bit and and walk you through the thought process of of why i decided to do this so i don't feel comfortable posting this kind of stuff generally speaking i i take that first picture i texted it to lauren I said, is this too thirst trappy? And she said, yes, it is. But I think your followers will get a kick out of it.
Starting point is 00:10:11 So I wanted to I told her, like, there's a fine line between just straight up posting a thirst trap and just being like, oh, look here. You know, this this is how I look. And then being self-aware. So the last three images were my attempt to be a little bit more self-aware. Okay. I'm owning that this is a super douchey post. I get it. I'm shirtless. I'm the only one in frame.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I'm walking through the woods or whatever. It's just inherently douchey. Those last three really showcase your personality. Those were very intentional, though, if what I'm saying makes any sense at all. Hopefully it does. But there's a fine line between just posting it just to post it and just to showcase how you look and then being very self-aware of how douchey it is to make such a post you make a good point like i i'm not really seeing a flaw in what you're saying right now this does make sense if
Starting point is 00:11:12 you just posted the first one within like the the swimming hole right behind it then i might think like okay dylan like chill out but like going overkill that actually does make sense from a strategy standpoint. Okay, thank you. I have a third question. Okay. There are people out there saying that this was – I think I just saw a lot of news on stuff lately about how people are posting Instagrams that don't look anything like them. Can you confirm or deny whether or not your body is all natural and whether or not that's actually you in the photos? Yeah, this is all me um i i don't even know how to edit pictures i would like to bring attention to one comment that uh it seemed to get a lot of play on here uh from hunter hunter any you said it's weird
Starting point is 00:12:00 because you have a gut but also a six-pack. The gut thing. Look, he's not wrong. What a jerk. I mean, he's not wrong. It got it got like 300 likes. His comment. His comment got 300 likes. Yeah. So, look, he's not wrong.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Yeah. I mean, the body. There is. You know, you got to deal with the body shaming and that's OK. You know what? I don't like people body shaming and that's okay. You know what? I don't like people body shaming my business partners and friends. How did it make you feel when you saw on Reddit that someone said that I had the rare wider waist than shoulders ratio? Did that upset you, David?
Starting point is 00:12:39 I missed that one. I don't like that either. I hate saying this. I hate saying this, but it made me laugh. I laughed out loud when I read that and thought, you know what? It's closer than most. It's closer than most. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Is that better or worse than when a T-man's buddy told T-man that I looked like the last chicken wing at a barbecue? Oh. Nobody wants. That's fantastic. Dude, that's harsh. I was like, well, that's fantastic dude that's harsh i was like well that's that's uh it's pretty biting yet fair you want me to fight i gotta i gotta kick out a hunter's hunter's comment too dylan do you think this is the to enjoy on a scale of like your thirsty posts on instagram do you think this is the thirstiest you've been? Good question, Will. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Yeah, this is the thirstiest post I've ever done, I guess. I'm going through your feed, and I'm trying to find a thirstier one. You did have one of you in, I believe you're on vacation somewhere, and it was right when you started doing your hair growth, but it's you and the homie at the beach. You're looking pretty cut in that one. And then, yeah, but I don't know. Outside of that, like this is definitely the thirstiest.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I got to say, Dylan, in your defense, imagine not having some semblance of a gut in these uncertain times. You know, David, I'm glad you brought that up. I appreciate you saying that. You know, I haven't been to the gym in three months. Man, the one you just talked about will i want to get back to that's the weight i want to get back to i look much better in that picture um yeah look i haven't been spending more since i've been to the gym guys you
Starting point is 00:14:15 know i'm doing i'm doing what i can um that's basically the the body of someone who works out but but eats like shit and you know i got some work to do dave okay as i as i peruse instagram now now i'm just wondering like what do you think your thirstiest instagram has been that is a great question um one of them one of dave's thirsty to post is one one that i actually took there's one that i convinced there's one that i don't think it's thirsty because i had to convince dave to post it i was like how have you not posted that already and it's you shirtless in italy and i think if somebody was just scrolling your feed they might think that could be one of them but like you didn't you weren't necessarily
Starting point is 00:15:00 like ready to post that when it first happened yeah i remember that um the one this one from the grant the grand next boat trip of me on a swan float yeah that was pretty good that was pretty good well the one i was thinking of dave didn't actually post it was from ponte vidra and he's riding a bike shirtless and he's cruising by the house and i got a picture of him and his his arm looks i mean it looks enormous it's just absolutely shredded and i have huge arms he probably he probably storied it or something so i know he did something with it um but it's a great pick and he didn't post it i don't know why dave you should you should do a throwback thursday or something with that one man or no just no, just like a take me back.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Your tricep was just popping, Dave. I'm a try guy. I am a try guy. That's honestly my claim to fame. Biceps aren't there. Tricep, it's a decent muscle. I do remember that. Dude, those bikes in Ponte Vedra were so fun.
Starting point is 00:16:01 We need to buy bikes, guys. Damn. We need to start a biker gang yeah yeah the thing we need to just go ahead i'm just gonna say we need to get get some like beach cruisers and inexplicably ride them 16 miles to the golf course and watch a tournament in the 100 degree heat that's what we need to do uh i look i was looking at mine i don't i think because i've been so out of shape for so long that i haven't really had the opportunity to be thirsty well your thirst traps are just like your portrait modes of like your whatever you've
Starting point is 00:16:39 cooked for dinner just flexes yeah i yeah maybe i fall more in the flex than a than a thirst trap thing because like i don't know i mean if i can if i can sculpt this this amorphous solid into something presentable for summer maybe i'll get a thirst trap off and if if my thirst trap doesn't do like the biggest numbers i've ever done i'm gonna be really really upset dylan's currently averaging over 120 comments on his last three instagram posts. Like, that's insane. That's not bad. I think we need to start selling your Instagram account, Dylan, and making money off of you. But since we all own the company together and we split things three ways, I think that we also benefit from your thirst traps monetized. Ooh, it looks like I did lose about 20 followers from from that post
Starting point is 00:17:26 however good dude yeah just guys being like nah this guy's too douchey for me or girls either one maybe they were so much drip they died from the flood are you drowning them literally way to go they in their account just decided to die along with them i feel bad i feel like our listeners went like last night we got a we got a flash flood warning thing to our phone and now i feel like if you're a listener of this podcast and your phone lights up with a flash flood warning you're immediately screenshotting it and sending a joke to your buddies like you're not taking it seriously yeah you're not spreading the news to people being like guys like don't go outside there's a flood warning everyone's like oh dude us when we finally go back to the bars yeah we're raising awareness
Starting point is 00:18:07 it's like we're raising awareness of flash flooding it's like oh is dylan stepping out tonight dylan must have gone down that's the thing about it you have an option either turn around or don't turn around but just know to know that if you if you if you don't turn around you will drown that's true you could drown yeah who came up with that slogan it's just awful there's got to be a better way of saying that i mean it makes sense like it's it's factually correct right i mean it's it's kind of, there's an assumption there that you will drown. And I feel like there's some people who don't drown. Yeah, is there a more efficient way of saying it?
Starting point is 00:18:51 I can't think of four words that express what needs to be expressed in that statement. Maybe not efficient, but a more like tactful way of being like, it's very dangerous over here. So you might want to stay away, you know, like if you come over, you're going to drown if you, if you enter, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:12 That was definitely tactical, tactful, different, tactful as well. Yeah. Okay. I'm just dipping into these damn comments of your, your Instagram for the first time in a while and i i'm it's good i mean i'm looking at one that just literally says
Starting point is 00:19:33 flash flood alert so i mean he he called it from the beginning i just like picturing like dylan like with different like uh popular overused twitter gifs or gifts, uh, when he's reading the comments and sees that some guy who called him out, got like 300 plus likes. And I just, I'm imagining like the doc rivers one.
Starting point is 00:19:54 It's one of my favorites where he's just kind of like staring in disbelief. Cameron just, uh, that would be my reaction. If I saw somebody out of my comments and started doing numbers like that. What's the, What's the general population's view of Doc Rivers these days?
Starting point is 00:20:11 I think pretty positive. I like Doc Rivers a lot. In Dirk's last season, when the Mavs went through L.A., he stopped down the game and got on the mic, in-game mic, and made everybody stand up and cheer for dirt. And ever since then,
Starting point is 00:20:26 I'm like, I'm a doc rivers guy. Yeah. It was very, yeah. He seems like a good dude. Yeah. I didn't know if he had ever done anything to piss people off.
Starting point is 00:20:36 I don't know why I was just wondering that. Apologies. That's a tough thing to have your name being doc though. Yeah. I mean, it, are people confused when he's a basketball coach and not like a doctor?
Starting point is 00:20:49 Yeah, I am to this day. Maybe he got like a doctorate in sports science or something like that, and now he's just a coach. Since the subject moved to sports, remind me after we do our first ad that I have a, a mini steam room to, to hop into. We'll say no more.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Before we get to this segment, let's talk about bird dogs. I've been wearing these things. I actually wore them yesterday. Warm swimming in the pool. I don't think that's their intended use, but when you're chilling that hard and, and you've got the built-in liner,
Starting point is 00:21:22 they drive really quickly. I was like, you know what? It's bird dog time, baby. Bird dogs. We talked about them. They got pants. They got shorts.
Starting point is 00:21:29 They got it all. Dude, I gave mine my first run yesterday in the pool and just kind of wearing them around town. They're so good. They're so good. I don't know if we can get bird dogs in trouble for this, but you can truly wear these from the boardroom to the discotheque in a current modern-day society.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Absolutely. You know where else you can wear them? Hiking down to the creek to go swimming because that's exactly what I did in mine yesterday. Love that. Wow. Kept them out on the ground. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Wow. Those are bird dogs in your thing? Oh, yeah. Oh, man. I did not realize this. Look at us. We're just swimming in our bird dogs. Bird dogs do love water. Rosie's not very good at swimming, but she'll stand and pounce around in water for days. And guess what? I'll do the same thing while wearing my bird dogs. Oh, yeah. Yeah. This isn't anything crazy, guys. This is just an amazing pair of shorts.
Starting point is 00:22:23 They've got built-in silky soft inner liner that makes underwear obsolete. And they've also got some incredible pants as well. These things are just comfy. I will put them against any other short that you have, but either way. We can't say too much about them that we haven't already said because they're just great. Go to birddogs.com, enter promo code STEAM, and they'll throw in a pair of free nunchucks yes you heard that right nunchucks you'll get an actual murder weapon along with your pair of bird dogs that's bird dogs dot com enter promo code steam and boom a free pair of nunchucks with your pair of bird
Starting point is 00:22:55 dogs you will not take these things off we promise you make it happen bird. All right, now it's sports time, right? Enter the sports zone. Can I get my steamer out of the way real quick? Sure. Are you steaming? Just real quick. Are you going to turn the steam on? Oh, we don't have it, do we?
Starting point is 00:23:22 Hey, Dylan, it's Minge. This is our new Steam Room music. That's what it sounds like in my Steam Room. Ooh, it's a party. Okay, listen. So, the Washington Nationals released a picture of their World Series rings. And Darren Revell tweeted it out last night. I don't know if y'all saw my reply to his tweet but I responded because there is a an error on the ring they use so I guess their slogan was go
Starting point is 00:23:54 one and oh every day which in that context obviously it's two words and not the adjective version of the word which is one word but they use one word. But they use one word every day. Go 1-0 every day, one word, which is obviously very incorrect. And it just irks me how many people had to sign off on this ring with the grammatical error on there. That is bad. How could they let that happen? That's bad. I didn't see see this this is the first time i'm seeing this uh every day and every day are two things that i don't find myself pointing out as much as i do with other grammatical mistakes in terms of that like i probably overlook it more than i call it out but seeing this and seeing it on something that is going to be with these people for the rest of their lives,
Starting point is 00:24:45 you have to be kind of annoyed that they fucked this up, right? They spent how long designing this ring and how many dollars building these rings? And it's just a simple thing to not mess up, yet they did. And look, I understand that it bothers me more than most people. I get that. I'm just than most people. I get that. I'm just a grammar guy. But how can you let this happen? Andy Grammer.
Starting point is 00:25:10 How can you let this happen? Let me say this, Dylan. I think what we have here is a good old-fashioned character limit. So there's definitely a character limit. They're limited probably to like 15 characters. I mean, what else could they do? They had to mash it together. I have a question.
Starting point is 00:25:29 What were they supposed to do on off days when they didn't have a game? It's true. How do you go 1-0? You go 0-0. Yeah. I don't think you're going 1-0 every single day. That's literally impossible. If they had more characters to use, they'd say going 1-0 every single day. That's literally impossible. If they had more characters to use,
Starting point is 00:25:47 they'd say go 1-0 every day, except for the days we don't actually play games. In that case, we'll just go 0-0. Maybe that's really small underneath the ring. That's just on the inside, like touching your finger. Dylan, I'm kind of bummed that your reply did not get a rise out of Ravel. I was hoping he would call back.
Starting point is 00:26:04 I thought he would respond, too. I thought he would respond too. I thought he would be like, oh, as pointed out by at D Shivery, there is an error on the ring. But I didn't get any love. He unblocked me, which was big. I had some people tweet at him to unblock me. And then I started following him again. And I got so annoyed with him that I just unfollowed him within the week
Starting point is 00:26:22 that he unblocked me, which is kind of a flex if you think about it. Oh, Darren Revelle. That is fun. This is like the most Dylan error to point out, like a World Series. You can't even let people be happy about their own World Series ring because you don't have one. Oh, let me say this, though. Aside from the glaring mistake, it is a dope looking ring it's one of my
Starting point is 00:26:46 favorites actually i think it's very classy looking it's not it's not over you know too over the top i have one issue with the ring is it the baby shark inside uh no it's the side that says fight finished period and it just doesn't look like it goes on the ring okay it just i don't really understand the need for that but it's just because like the font is terrible they put a period in it and i don't think if i have a ring like i don't need a sentence on my on my my ring and so like the period just seems unnecessary outside of that it is a pretty good looking ring and i actually will say the shark on the inside um will mons appreciates it guys i have a very very bad grammar mistake that i was unable to document but we were coming up 35 from austin and a a vehicle was in the right hand lane
Starting point is 00:27:46 and it was a high school kid and they shoe polished congrats 2020 grads and grads had an apostrophe. Oh my gosh. They should take a diploma away. No.
Starting point is 00:28:01 You've got to chill. I'm speaking to everybody out there. Chill with the apostrophes it's getting out of control how people use them correctly five percent of the time now it's embarrassing it's like dude why add that extra character you didn't need it it makes no sense it doesn't like that's a that's embarrassing i wish i could have got a photo of that i was driving though but um i guess i saw that and i just you know i called the police on them good i did i said that they had contraband on them is that why there was a high-speed chase that i read about on on interesting yeah oh man i mean that is bad yeah i for me i think my my number one is there there, there, there.
Starting point is 00:28:47 That's the one that pisses me off the most. Have y'all noticed my group text? My group texts have been very sloppy the last few weeks. I've noticed it. I'm like really – I'm not even like – I'm just typing it and hitting send and not even correcting myself. I don't know what it is I think we all but I'm like I'm putting some stuff in there and I'm like Dylan will probably get Dylan's gonna hate this yeah I I don't I haven't noticed yours Dave but I've been kind of doing the same thing I've been looking at texts like I've been in a text
Starting point is 00:29:19 conversation I go back into it with like a friend and I review things that I said like 20 minutes ago. And I'm like, oh, my God, that this sentence was borderline unreadable. Got to send the apology text. Yeah. And how bad is it that on the happy hour we talked about how we don't respond to Klein's text enough? Then he invites us all to lunch today. Nobody responded. I felt so bad about that.
Starting point is 00:29:46 He had a, he finally had a follow up. Like, what the hell, guys? I'm crying. It was still, I still just, I'm having a hard time just like getting in, in responding to text mode, especially because I'm just really not making plans with that many people. So it's like, yeah, if people are talking about making plans, I'm kind of just like, yeah. Can I, can I say something? And I, i appreciated his invite but let me say this and this is just this goes for everybody listening this goes for you guys i will not be i will not be hitting up uh any tex-mex joint and if i do actually look i will
Starting point is 00:30:19 be hitting tex-mex joints but i will not be ordering fajitas. And here's why I'm not going to sizzle to a 50% occupied, uh, establishment. You only sizzle when it's completely full. It's either all the way or no way. You're, you're kind of, I don't want to call you out right now, Dave, but your, your response in this was not about like restaurants or sizzling or anything like that. Your response was just proximity being out of town oh yeah yeah no you're right i don't think you were going to this lunch i don't think you were going to this lunch even if you were in town but you had you had the best excuse no i wasn't but i i've actually been workshopping this take in my head and i was trying to put it into a tweet and i couldn't word it right so i I was just like, fuck it. I'll just spit it out on the podcast if the time comes.
Starting point is 00:31:05 And I'm just saying that it would be just depressing to waste a sizzle when like the restaurant's only allowed to be 50% full. Something I didn't, I totally agree with you. Like what's the, what's the point of getting like bottle service at a 25% full bar? Like, yeah, if I'm not getting sparkler, like remnants on people, then like, it's just a waste of time. Exactly. Something I don't really have an issue with people like Texas is obviously partially open, like restaurants, people can go 50% capacity. I don't care if people are going to restaurants at this point. It does not bother me because it's,
Starting point is 00:31:42 I mean, it's illegal. You can go do what you want to do. Go have fun. Uh, and I'm, I'm avoiding them just because I just want to see how everything goes before I jump in. I'm not really craving that much. I don't really care about going to restaurants that much right now. I'm kind of content and settled and I love not spending money on restaurants. It's great. But something I didn't think of was just like, I don't want to go to lame restaurants that are half full. Part i don't want to go to lame restaurants that are half full part of the reason i like going to these restaurants is because they're packed they're fun everyone's having a good time it's loud people are getting drunk you can see fun stuff happening like going to a 50 full restaurant at this point just sounds boring
Starting point is 00:32:17 no i need the whole squad there yeah yeah and if we show up to matt's with like a table like 14 like they're not going to be able to sit us in one giant table. They're going to be like, no. The best thing about Matt's isn't the food. I mean, the food's good, but it's not the best thing about going there. It's just a full experience of being at Matt's. It's a scene, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Yeah, dude. I mean, it makes it tough. It makes it tough. I don't know when we're going to get back to a hundred percent, but, um, from, from what I saw this weekend, it looked like some of the bars and restaurants were, uh, not at 50%. They were at much, much more percent. I still think, I still think that a lot of these viral videos are taken like months ago. That's pretty, I like that. I think that people are just going for cloud chasing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:07 People, people just want to be the person exposing people. And I'm like, all right, you took this, you took this video in Vegas, like four months ago at your girl's bachelorette party. And now you're trying to act like it's some bar in Dallas.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Like get out of here. I don't believe you. I did hear T-Mamba just requesting Mo Bamba all over the place. So he's just been going bar to bar, just, you know, being a wrecking crew. I heard that too. That's what people were doing when they had those old parade pictures that they were spreading around and just being like, you know, people, look, I took this today.
Starting point is 00:33:44 This is the people in, like like Milwaukee or it's just stupid. Yeah. It's dumb. How'd we get here from, we were talking, we were steaming on sports and now we're just talking about like, whatever. Can we talk about the match?
Starting point is 00:33:57 Yeah. Can I get ahead of this before we go too far into it? If I go slightly silent for, for a majority of this segment, it's not because i i was i was not impressed with the match it's because i had i logistically i could not watch the whole thing and even though i haven't recorded i plan on watching the back nine this afternoon i have i have yet to watch the whole thing so don't don't look at me for fuego takes for anything
Starting point is 00:34:22 fuck i i i was tuning in and out so i didn't catch all of it but i did catch um a good chunk of it i did see the first hour and i was amazed that they they let people warm up for so long on national tv when it was actually entertaining i guess a little bit but i was kind of like all right guys i have i have a limited time let's let's get this going yeah the first hour i mean mainly the first 30 minutes uh i was i was uh starting to kind of freak out that this was going to be a really really bad product um because you i mean you had tom couldn't get off the t and i mean tom couldn't do anything it was it was unbelievable and like it was just everything was just him and Phil looking in the woods and like
Starting point is 00:35:08 looking at like digging through these tall ass plants and oh man I was like this is brutal and it was raining the weather ended up making it very interesting but I was like dude this kind of sucks and then they picked it up and I thought it ended up being pretty fun and
Starting point is 00:35:24 big winners out of the deal I think we can all agree JT was really good They picked it up, and I thought it ended up being pretty fun. Big winners out of the deal, I think we can all agree JT was really good. Although Klein did bring up a good point. He did overuse the abbreviated nickname card. He went to that well one too many times. Even if that's what you call him, you don't have to call him T-Dub 100 times. We know who he is am i allowed to not like jt even if i could admit that from what i saw from him was good am i still allowed to dislike him like wholeheartedly okay i'm in that i'm in that boat too will i am not a justin thomas guy i'm not saying that he's it's insurmountable that he can't come back from me disliking him
Starting point is 00:36:02 but all i'm saying is that like from the flashes that i saw of him yesterday which were entertaining uh i i just did not i still don't like the guy for some reason i feel i feel kind of guilty um i will say that i i've i'm on record saying that i'm not a phil mickelson guy at all i like him much more after yesterday. I thought he was, I don't know, like super personable. And it was cool that he was helping Tom Brady with like every shot basically. Because if I play with someone like that, that's like a dream to have someone of that caliber kind of explain things to you and help you read greens and stuff like that. I thought it was really, really cool. And he's also just like a funny dude.
Starting point is 00:36:49 He really is. I'm going to start doing that to you every time we play together i'm just gonna start like explaining every one of your shots to you as if i'm like really good and just try to piss you off the entire time you know what i mean though like someone that good being like okay see the the grain of the the green right here this is why it's gonna be a slow putt he had a really funny comment there was a drivable par four and he he hit a perfect drive he was like it's like 330 i think to the green and he just absolutely crushed it right at the flag and he says something like yeah it might be a bit long but i i think i put some spin on it i might check up it was like stuff like that you know he's he's funny he knows that it's an opportunity it's a marketing opportunity for himself like as much as anything yeah i mean he he went in there with with his bits planned out his whole like equation in order to uh to win it was like all right dude how long
Starting point is 00:37:36 have you been putting this together and then someone called him i think right in the beginning uh jt was to ask him about it or somebody was asking him about it and he you could tell he was laughing because he had it all dialed in for like Twitter and recording it for Twitter. But doing it live on TV, he was like, oh, shit, I didn't know this as well as I needed to. Yeah, he kind of stumbled, didn't he? He was like laughing at himself. He was like, okay, I know this is ridiculous. But it was very likable.
Starting point is 00:38:02 What did you guys think of the format? The 17-inch shorts that the cat wore tough scene mega tough great not not great with cargo pockets a little bit of a i try to give him a break because he has uh he can't do he literally cannot lift leg muscles i would imagine he hasn't squatted in six years so like his legs are not great. So he's probably trying to hide those quads. There's probably some muscle atrophy from all the surgery.
Starting point is 00:38:33 So I don't know. But just wear pants. Yeah, wear pants or don't. I don't know. Those shorts were awful. I'm not giving him the same grace that you are giving him, Dave. Those were terrible. Speaking of pants, so Tom Brady, after he holds out from,
Starting point is 00:38:51 I don't know, was it like 120? I'm not sure how far that shot was. Great shot. So he holds out, and then he goes to pick up his ball, and he split his pants. And to call back Ravel, so Tom Brady this morning tweeted something about like, oh, I should have worn Under Armour pants. I'm pretty sure he was wearing Under Armour pants, but
Starting point is 00:39:11 Ravel pointed out that they he went to the Under Armour website to find them and they had been removed from their website. So I think they're trying to play it off as if those weren't Under Armour pants. But he was decked out in Under Armour so why wouldn't he be wearing them to begin with? They were 100% Under Armour.
Starting point is 00:39:29 There's no way that those were not. If those weren't Under Armour, then that's embarrassing for Under Armour not getting a pair of pants on Tom Brady in the Most Watched Television thing on this weekend. That's idiotic from them. So they tried to play it off as if they weren't Under Armour. I'm going to pull up the tweet. Dude, Dylan, expose them. Wow.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Shots to Revelle. He's the first one to expose them. You just rained all over Revelle's parade, and now you're standing him. Can we say this? Brady has a better-looking swing than Peyton, but Peyton's is much more effective. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Yeah. Here's Tom Brady's tweet two hours ago. It's a quote tweet of ESPN. They're showing the split pants, and he says, next time I'll make sure to be wearing my Under Armour pants. Hashtag lesson learned. I don't know, Tom. I think you were, buddy.
Starting point is 00:40:30 What the fuck, Tom? Yeah, what the freak, man. Those are definitely. What the freak, dude? So, like I said, I haven't seen the back nine yet. I, I, so I, like I said, I haven't seen the back nine yet. The front nine, they could have avoided the, the initial struggles from everybody. If they had just made it a different format. I don't know why they thought going best ball was the move for the beginning.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Because with these guys, I guess they couldn't, they couldn't really bet. Like they couldn't forecast this weather far enough out before they determined everything everything either but it just seemed i feel like they could have made it much more entertaining in the beginning without doing best ball and putting so much pressure on these unlike uh brady to like play well dude he had a he chunked a chip and it was like nightmare scenario with like cameras around and you him he was like 10 feet off the green pretty simple chip and he just chomped and it was like so defeating it was like his he was already like laying like five or something it was it was bad he turned it around and and honestly like he was pretty meh up until he drained that shot and then he got some life injected in him and he was like
Starting point is 00:41:43 coming out and he was kind of over-talking at times. But it was better than him just being mute the whole time. Who had the best trash talk? He wasn't even meh before that shot. He was terrible before that shot. It was disheartening to watch someone who plays kind of like we do on occasion that's just really bad, can't find their game at all, and then hole out like that.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Like, I don't think I've ever done that. Hole out. No, I've got, I've never done that. I've played like shit the entire time, but I've never hold out from further than what?
Starting point is 00:42:20 40 yards away. I don't know. It was tight too. Cause it was a spinner. Of course it happens to Tom Brady. Yeah. I mean, yeah know it was tight too because it was a spinner of course it happens to tom brady yeah i mean yeah it was an awesome shot he he absolutely needed that i i was genuinely feeling bad for him i know a lot of people were reveling in the uh in his failure but i was like dude this is i don't wish this like on anybody like somebody just doesn't can't get off a t-box and they're on they're playing with the two best golfers the last like 30 years and it's just like dude this is miserable you know
Starting point is 00:42:51 i ended up really liking peyton i've kind of i've taken shots at peyton over the years but he was pretty likable he didn't force it he had some good lines i thought i thought he was his overall personality he's witty like he's a witty guy he's a nice guy he's just never moved the needle for me more than me being i like him i don't love him i don't seek out patent content but just from his seeing him on like snl and stuff it's like okay he can actually be a very very funny person he's not just like it's not like throwing jj watt onto uh snL and just having it be terrible. You might not have been watching, Will, but we got J.J. Watt yesterday. I saw your tweet, and I was like, man, not bummed to miss this right now.
Starting point is 00:43:36 I think he probably donated a ton of money. Was there any Bill Murray appearances with Tirico or anything? Word on the street. No Tirico. I got shooters everywhere. Word on the street i got shooters everywhere word on the street is that tariko's enjoying himself uh in northern michigan right now oh yep yep i was told that he was at a bar um that i will not name because it's in our rival city so i'm gonna hate on them oh that was i hope he was uh taking the proper precautions in these uncertain times i was
Starting point is 00:44:05 surprised that they were even open up there to be honest i was confused i didn't believe the story at first because i was like no they're not open up there and then i realized nope sure enough um all in all they rate what did they raise like 20 mil yeah very cool what do you think of like what did you think of like uh phil like on the t-box like on the phone being like oh this one's worth another 1.5 it's like okay this is just this is so stupid he's like i got work he's like work day work day is gonna for the long drive before they teed off he likes like shout out to work day they're gonna donate a million for this and then he promptly just wipes it out of
Starting point is 00:44:46 the fairway like, oh, borderline out of bounds. Was it even borderline? It looked like it was just gone. Remember they found it. It was up. I don't know. Tiger had a good line. Tiger was great. He didn't overdo it. He didn't try to take shots at Phil. He just
Starting point is 00:45:02 hit every fucking fairway. I did like when... It might did like when, I think it was, it might have been that, I think it was actually that hole when it was the long drive on number two or three. And Phil was just talking for like five minutes straight, not shutting up. And Tiger just looked at the camera and was like, yeah, I have to deal with this every single time.
Starting point is 00:45:20 And I was like, this is actually funny. You can tell that Tiger does get a little sick of Phil not shutting up yeah that's a that's a fun dynamic um should Tiger look so tiny should he him getting calf implants would not be the worst move for him that's tough he's he is an inspiration to for guys like me do you think micah can donate part of his to just give to tiger woods how jealous would you be how jealous would you be if tiger woods was walking around with some like part of micah's calves and his calves god yeah and he was up against um some like calf monsters and phil and Peyton. Tom Brady obviously had pants on you couldn't see but Peyton and Phil are both just big time calf guys. Does it hurt your body to
Starting point is 00:46:12 watch Peyton Manning walk? It looks so stiff man when he's when he's swinging a golf club. Dude it's brutal. I feel bad for him. His neck was fused or whatever, so it's understandable. Dude, he turns it over pretty well. He plays a nice little baby draw. I enjoyed watching him play. There were not as many horrible shots as I thought there was going to be. Considering the conditions, man, I don't know what – I mean, Tom was obviously all over the planet at one point, but I feel like they ended up using some of their shots.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Tom drained that eagle putt on that drive you were talking about earlier. All in all, good product. Had fun. I don't know if this is something they can do a lot of, but I would definitely watch it. There's a lot of chatter about who they should do next. Do you guys have any favorites that you've seen is it like the same format with two pros and two non-pros yeah the the one that i've seen the most has been steph curry and uh mj as being the pros and then phil and tiger yeah
Starting point is 00:47:23 that would be that would be tight. Steph is good. They will need to have a 60-second delay on the live hot mics if they get Jordan. Dude, that's the only thing that pissed me off yesterday was when they would just go mute for like six seconds because something was said that was you know not brand safe i understand why they do it but it's just like i want to hear the on i want to hear the unfiltered like there's there's nothing that they're saying that can be
Starting point is 00:47:54 that bad yeah i mean yeah but it it might not be that bad but like they could also just get fined you know justin thomas called chuck a fat ass that Justin Thomas called Chuck a fat ass. That was tight. He called him a fat ass. I don't know if he knew his mic was on, honestly, because the way they responded to it, they were like, Chuck says something about microphones or live TV or something.
Starting point is 00:48:17 So I'm not sure he was aware of what happened there. I would love to see Charles Barkley slap the absolute shit out of Justin Thomas. And he would love to do it, too, because they're Auburn and Bama guys. Charles Barkley would love to slap him. Oh, that'd be good. Did y'all see Chuck at the end play a hole? No.
Starting point is 00:48:40 The bogey challenge? No. What'd he do? He did not. I think he doubled it. He topped his drive. The bogey challenge? No. What did he do? He did not. I think he doubled it. He topped his drive. And then he actually had some shots that didn't have a hitch in the swing.
Starting point is 00:48:52 He was just out there. He's in such bad shape. He looks like he's struggling, man. Well, his dude, he's probably – I mean, he probably can't – he's probably moving a lot like Peyton Manning. He's a big boy those big guys age quick yeah plus peyton's got the neck thing and then remember when peyton had the hgh uh story kind of does anybody did everybody ever care about that nobody cares who cares let him get back he's fucking like 40 let him play the only sport i care about people doping in is uh
Starting point is 00:49:22 baseball everything else like i don't i don't care i don't even know why I care about people doping in is baseball. Everything else, I don't care. I don't even know why I care about baseball at this point. I don't fucking watch it. If the Tigers won the World Series and all of them tested positive for HGH the next day, I wouldn't care. I would be celebrating that. Speaking of doping, I can't wait to get into this Lance 30 for 30.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Oh, dude. into this lance 30 for 30 oh dude let's talk about let's talk about our friends over at uh at hims first you guys you know hims you guys know all about him 66 of men start losing their hair by age 35 and once you've noticed thinning hair it can be too late so whether that hairline slowly starting to move backwards you have any bald? Do we want to talk Lance real quick, or do we want to talk about this hail that we got? Should we bump the hail to after post Lance? Yeah, let's knock out. Since we're in the middle of a sports minute, we should probably, let's just knock out Lance real quick.
Starting point is 00:51:56 All right. Speaking of doping. Yeah. I don't think any of us have really fully watched this, but we will. We will be watching. I've watched the majority of us have really fully watched this, but we will. We will be watching. I've watched the majority of the first episode. The reason I did not finish that episode was because we had to record a podcast that we're currently in the middle of right now.
Starting point is 00:52:15 I forgot that this was going to be on. I don't know why. The Tiger Slam thing was on last night. We just had the Bulls documentary, and I don't know why they're doing all these things unlike the greatest of all time but i'm it's the best quarantine present of all time what are y'all's thoughts going into this on lance i think i think he's uh an asshole i think he's competitive to a fault but i absolutely stand the man and i love him and I don't blame him for anything that he did. It was, I think it was like, I don't blame him for anything that he did in terms of doping because
Starting point is 00:52:50 it was so widespread. That being said, the treatment of people afterwards and the bullying and those kinds of allegations, I think there is something a little bit, you know, not great, but at the same time, um, I don't know. There's it's's it's out it's a lot of allegations and things like that and so i i don't think that he's necessarily the nicest guy but i don't i don't look back at him winning those tours as something that bugs me i love it yeah i'm not i'm not sure how widespread it was in cycling i haven't i haven't watched any of this documentary yet so i can't wait to get into it but i i mean i kind of equate it to like baseball in the 90s like if you weren't doing it then you were probably leaving potential to earn a lot of a lot of money on the table right because everyone around you was doing it so if you're not
Starting point is 00:53:40 doing it you're not you know it's not an even playing field you see in the first episode that he he wasn't doing it when other people were in the beginning when he was like 21 he said 21 was the first time that he did it and it was illegal and it was like something that was actually making a dramatic effect on his cycling and there was he said there was a couple seasons when he was doing or when he wasn't doing anything and he was just getting smoked by these guys and they were all doing it. And I you either get you either you're kind of faced with the choice of like, all right, well, do I give up the dream of being a professional cyclist and just, you know, go work a shitty job that I don't want to do? Or do I just hop on the bandwagon of what everybody else is doing and I can maintain my awesome life where I get to live on Lake Como. Dylan. It's worth it.
Starting point is 00:54:28 It's worth the risk. Dylan, let me, I have, like I said, I have not jumped into this, but based on what I've read going into it, I think 80 to 90,
Starting point is 00:54:36 80 to 90% of the people on the tour were using some sort of band substance. So more than half. Not on the... Cycling? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know the proper language, but... Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Wow. That's a huge number. Yeah, I mean... It's the kind of thing where, like, if you start stripping titles, like, you have to start going down the list of people to, like, way past, like, second or third place because everyone's cheating
Starting point is 00:55:05 yeah it's not like there was so there's not like there's some dude who was always just short of lance that was clean that that was not the case uh what is he does he does lance armstrong being from austin does that make you guys like him a little bit more i always forget that he lives there. I don't care. He used to. I'm with Will. I have the same take and probably you, Dylan. Me, I have EPO.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Yeah, that's obviously a super performance enhancer. Everybody was using it. I think it was the stuff that he did, like suing people. But he got in over his head, man man and he raised a lot of awareness for cancer yeah and he did a lot of good i think he and he's just been he's kind of an ass like he he's known to be kind of an ass if you hear him on podcasts if you hear him on rogan you can kind of tell like oh he he's kind of got a psycho ass personality he used to uh he's got his own ride his bike by the old by the old grand x office all the time on 360 i don't know if you'll ever saw him i saw him a couple of times um i never saw him but if i
Starting point is 00:56:10 did if i saw cyclists next to me while i was sitting at that at that light i was just like eyeing all of them so hard trying to see if it was yeah dude i saw vince young cycling on 360 once i can't believe that i can't believe there's a bike that fits him he's he's shockingly huge on this bike he's a big dude um man back in the day if you didn't have a lift strong bracelet though you weren't shit yeah what are you doing with that one you're just living how many of those were sold can't be living like worldwide um yeah by all accounts the guy's an asshole. But I don't need my sports figures to be nice guys. Because that's like Michael Jordan, that's what made him great,
Starting point is 00:56:52 is he wasn't a nice guy all the time. That's just kind of how they have to live their lives. So I don't care that he wasn't a super nice guy. I'm not a huge Lance guy, but I don't have too much against him either. I think he got a raw deal getting stripped of everything and just, you know, he's banished from the records of the Tour de France. It's like, dude, that's so silly, especially if the numbers of what I cited were anywhere in the ballpark
Starting point is 00:57:21 of being correct, then, like, who cares? Right. Doesn't matter epo epo is no joke though that's something we should get on yeah what does that stand for i've never heard of that one electric party orchestra yeah i don't know yeah sick yeah i've been thinking about getting on epo for some peloton purposes i've been i don't know why you wouldn't will yeah i've been i've been slack like i've been kind of just behind and i feel like i'm plateauing a little bit and so i just kind of think that you know cycling in some epo might actually might help me on the leaderboard and in my quest to be a part of the tour de france they had uh they had some guys on last
Starting point is 00:57:57 night and they were talking about like oh yeah like it's really hard it's like running a marathon every day uh no it's not because you're on a bike you have wheels like it's not like running a marathon if it was like running a marathon then your feet would hurt but like it's slow impact yeah like you can coast if you want to on a bike don't tell you it's like running a marathon this seems easy i'm gonna i'm gonna i don't think i'll win the tour but i think i think i could be in the pellet or like in the uh whatever of like a winning team i think i could propel another guy to like if you're if you're serious about competing with Booger and Rory, like you've got to do something, man. Let's talk about this.
Starting point is 00:58:30 So, yeah, it came out this weekend that ESPN is airing a Peloton special that's featuring a bunch of different athletes. It's male athletes and female athletes. The male athletes that they're featuring, of which I'm very happy about, are Booger McFarland, Bubba Watson, Gordon Hayward, Justin Thomas, Kyle Rudolph, Matt Grievers, Mike Golick Jr., noted friend of the podcast, and Rory McIlroy. Let's go. I'm so happy about this. So I already knew that most of these guys were already on the app. And I already knew kind of the numbers that they have going in.
Starting point is 00:59:06 I will say Booger McFarland is probably an early favorite. I asked my buddy who's a big sports better if we could bet on this. And he said he couldn't find any odds. I think it's because they don't know. I don't think we know the format. I don't think we know if they're just like taking a class or if they're racing or if they're doing something. It's kind of up in the air at this point.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Let's talk to Dan. the air at this point. Let's talk to Dan. Dan probably has a way. I will say, if I'm betting, my money is going to be on the Olympic swimmer, probably. Booger McFarlane puts up absolute numbers, but Rory has a higher ceiling than Booger has, even though he doesn't do the numbers that Booger's currently doing. I think Rory, if he really had the motivation,
Starting point is 00:59:47 he could get himself up there and take this thing. Dude, all the talk goes to Bryson and Brooks for like, who's like the jack, you know, guy that's in shape on tour. But Rory is consistently like the most sculpted and like, not like overly bulky and like, you can tell has good cardio and like puts up the numbers on the peloton like yes i am i have much respect for that man yeah when i saw i was actually like not to sound weird but i was actually kind of excited for him to wear shorts
Starting point is 01:00:15 during the uh the skins game because i was like i want to see what his legs look like after after the peloton numbers i've seen out of him i really want to have like a party. I just want to have like Micah up since he's a fellow Pelly boy and we can just sit here and just cheer these guys on. This is a genius move by Peloton. This makes me want to own a Peloton. It really does. Yes. And I'm a little bummed because I saw that Puig was in this
Starting point is 01:00:42 and I was like, oh my God, Yaziel Puig. We get to see him like do this? No, it's Monica Puig. And Puig, Puig was in this. And I was like, Oh my God, Yaziel Puig. We get to see him like do this. No, it's Monica Puig. And Puig, Puig. I don't think, I don't know if that totally fits,
Starting point is 01:00:51 but I'm still, I'm still liking it. Can I say that I am happy for Booger that he has found success in Peloton world? Because like, I mean like, yeah, he was bad on Monday night football and he just got,
Starting point is 01:01:03 he lost his gig, but he seems like a good dude. I'm glad now he's like, hey, you know what? I'm not the guy who makes obvious points. I'm the guy who rides the fuck out of a stationary bike. Yeah. He was fired from Monday Night Football? Yeah, he's been relieved of his duties.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Yeah, him and Tessa Torrier, they are out. That's too bad. Yeah, it's too bad, but I don't know the memes will live on in infamy yeah yeah uh i'm who knows maybe maybe we'll go live on uh on youtube youtube.com slash watch media i'm kind of excited for this yeah i'm just really hoping that they don't make it some puff piece that Peloton paid for.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Because I do think Peloton is sponsoring this. And so it's not like they're just doing this for competition's sake. I'm worried it's going to be a total puff piece that is not actually going to be these guys getting competitive with one another. So we'll see. But I think once you see this, Dylan, you're going to want one even more. Because if what I read was correct, it sounds like instructor alex toussaint will be the one doing it and he's the instructor who will yell at you in the middle of your workout for not going hard enough even though he's just talking to a screen and he'll also call you king at the end of the
Starting point is 01:02:19 workout when you when you're crushing it so he's a good instructor instructor. You can do both. Yeah. Wait. So these instructors can see how you're performing. I didn't even know that. They have a screen in front of them with everybody's stuff. That's why, like when Micah did his hundredth ride, she should have seen that. And then you usually get a call out if you hit a milestone ride. So if you get like 50,
Starting point is 01:02:37 101, 50, if you, if you get an increment of 50, they'll almost always call you out. Micah did not get called out presumably because his last name looks like it's pronounced wiener and i think that she thought he was doing it yeah especially this guy this guy's in here fucking around man there's no one named wiener
Starting point is 01:02:56 sorry i was just gonna say there's an image in my head of micah like he's like just pounding away and she's like oh I just want to give a shout out uh your 100th ride Micah Wiener and like in his he's like by himself he's like it's pronounced Wiener just to himself here's another stupid question there's not a camera on your face right when you're doing it just only they have a camera on them then it's truck so I didn't know this the other day I this was news to me it freaked me out i was in a ride and i was just going and then it tells you if one of your friends that you follow on the app it tells you if they're in a ride as well i saw that one of my buddies was in one so i texted him and then after his
Starting point is 01:03:34 ride was over he popped into my ride and tried facetiming me and i didn't know you could facetime from the actual bike so you do have a camera that's on you, but it's not on ever unless you're having a chat like that. So now that I know that I'm going to start popping into people. That's kind of cool. Yeah. All right. I didn't know that. Yeah. That now that I know that they can see like how you're performing and can actually talk to you. They don't though. They like, they don't talk to you. I don't want you to think that like, they're going to give you like individual like tips or anything like that. Like they will not actually talk to you i don't want you to think that like they're going to give you like individual like tips or anything like that like they will not actually talk to you they will just look at um yeah they'll just yeah they'll just see every how everyone's doing there's too many people
Starting point is 01:04:14 there's like thousands and thousands there's like 8 000 people in a live ride man the way they've created this network of people who are basically competing against each other genius yeah i think like soul cycle kind of does have the same thing going on, like orange theory and stuff like that. But these fitness companies doing this stuff is really smart. Cause like it does drive you. If I know that Micah did something earlier in the day, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:04:36 well, I got to blow him out of the water. Like on his hundredth ride, I wasn't going to give him a free pass. I was like, no, I'm going to look at Micah's stats, the entirety of the ride so that I can beat him.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Honestly, we should just keep doing segments on Peloton until they send me and Dylan one. I agree. I want to be in on this. If we get sponsored by them ever and I'm taking a free one from them, I've given them enough money that I will take another one and figure out what I'll do with it. I want Dylan to be riding and like he's like really into
Starting point is 01:05:07 and it's getting close like come on guys last hill dylan what's your deal all right guys like yeah my my skinny legs man i need to i need to do something i want a pet dog people were saying that on your instagram yeah the the one thing that i've noticed the one thing i've noticed is that i i i didn't ever really have any definition on my legs and now when i flex i have a little more definition on the calves so the calves are oh yeah they're popping a little bit how the quads looking you got a little teardrop around the knee not yet not yet they're they're stronger but they're not they're not like defined i'm not i'm not getting crazy with it can i ask a question that i've been waiting to ask this entire fucking episode yeah dude dave how about that hail we got
Starting point is 01:05:51 randy mash that hail button dude look at that is this real dude low key is that ceiling trying to get the pipe is this real real? For those at home. Did a basketball-sized piece of hail actually come through someone's roof and ceiling and into their living room? Did that happen? Friday night, this is up around, I believe it's near Wichita Falls, which is, if you're new here, it's on the border of Texas, Oklahoma. And we did have big hail.
Starting point is 01:06:23 Now, this is a freakishly large piece of hail. Like I don't have any context. I don't know who this kid is. It's holding it. He might be tiny. He might have tiny hands, but it's either way. It is a almost a basketball size piece of hail, like a mini basketball. Yeah. That's a child holding it. Right. That's a hundred percent of child holding it. Yeah. Those are the, those are the not the forearms of a developed like man absolutely not but if all i've got a question though how did it stay intact did it land on
Starting point is 01:06:52 the couch or some shit like you i feel like that would shatter yeah i also feel like i also feel like it wouldn't have punctured a ceiling i could go through a house like unless it was shot out of a cannon i mean i got questions i have questions too and yeah like is this just one piece of hail that is just that big and then like there's nothing else going on i think there was grapefruit size softball size in the area and this one just this one just got extremely high and stayed frozen when it came down um but yeah dude if this starts falling it's just i'm done i don't need this if that's falling to my house like all right i'm gone dave i don't know if you can do this but i assume you can just because you're the resident meteorology guy um and i'm also going to flip the script on on people's views of mansplaining because i want you to do it to me right now Can you mansplain to me how hail is actually created?
Starting point is 01:07:47 Oh, okay. I think essentially what happens is you get like, when you get these big thunder heads, these supercell storms, you have a, what's called an updraft. Is this the opposite of a splinter cell of a,
Starting point is 01:08:01 what is a supercell? The opposite of a splinter cell? Exactly right. Okay. Exactly right. Shout out Tom Clancy. Yeah. So the updraft, it takes the moisture and the precipitation, and it blows it, brings it way up high into the upper atmosphere where it's cold,
Starting point is 01:08:21 and that's what freezes the hail. Or that's what makes the hail. So it just basically takes a raindrop or whatever and it shoots it way up there. Then it comes down and the higher it goes, the more frozen it gets. So the bigger the hail. So when you have these really tall thunderstorms,
Starting point is 01:08:36 like when you see a super high thunderhead, you know that that could produce big time hail. Makes sense. That's a really shitty explanation, but I think I got some of it right. I think that's similar to an explanation I've gotten in the past as well but it's kind of weird because hail looks they just look like giant or not giant necessarily always but they just look like snowballs and hail is not something that we got often in michigan where you get actual snow but in texas it's like
Starting point is 01:08:59 oh oh it's 100 degrees outside yeah there's snowballs falling from this atmosphere so if this is you you put it in the freezer right like you save this thing yeah you keep that people can come check it out you gotta keep your piece of hell I think people came out to like verify it because it is some sort of record it's gotta be this thing is a unit
Starting point is 01:09:19 I'm in awe at the size of it yeah sure yeah if you are wondering what we're talking about and you don't feel like looking it up on your own, maybe you should be watching these on YouTube. Wow. YouTube.com slash washed media. Um,
Starting point is 01:09:37 did y'all get hail in Austin? Y'all didn't get hit. I think South Austin got it. There was hail in Austin. Yes. But did I, did I run into it? No. Yeah. We're good. I think it hail in Austin. Yes. But did I, did I run into it? No.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Yeah. We're good. I think it was tiny boy hail, which is still can, can ding up your roof. And the worst thing about hail isn't even like the damage. It's like that all of like the, the sketchy ass roofer companies come in town and like start trying to state
Starting point is 01:10:00 claim to your neighborhood and want to put signs in your yard. It's like, dude, just fuck off. Just fix my roof. I had a one time years ago. I had a a there was a bad hail storm in my house it it ruined the hood of my truck at the time but it also came through the one of the windows of the house it shattered the window that was a pretty intense storm damn yeah but nothing compared nothing
Starting point is 01:10:22 compared to this basketball size hole in this person's ceiling geez dylan how far could you punt that hailstone that that's gonna break my foot if i try and kick it too hard so not far yeah you're gonna break at least one small bone in your foot i'm gonna say five feet dave yeah that piece of hail is punting you yeah yeah I don't want I don't want that smoke from that hail that would be a really embarrassing way to break your foot you're like oh I was punting a hail stone what happened
Starting point is 01:10:53 I'd rather not talk about it should we get out of here guys probably so happy memorial day happy memorial day to everybody out there yeah hey real quick i played golf yesterday and they had the half noodle inside the hole no really yeah so it's so you put don't put your entire hand in the hole so it's a good idea
Starting point is 01:11:17 and yeah it was fine um although we were playing a scramble my My buddy Norris did bounce one off the noodle, but we weren't really sure how to count that. But yeah, it was interesting. It was my first round of golf in two plus months and got to say, felt good to get out there. So that's it. Beautiful. All right, guys. That was fun. Well, bye. Oh, okay. Let's say what you got to okay. No, redo it. I was going to say something that I might have wanted to take back
Starting point is 01:11:50 anyway. We'll talk about it after. All right, good. Bye.
