Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, we're back circling back podcast. My name is Dave. I'm hosting working the board filling in for one will defreeze who is on quite the journey. He just posted a wedding a wedding day fit. I'm I'm happy to announce our boy got that **** on. Let me guess. Linen suit. It appears to be a cream linen suit. He's wearing- Cream on the inside? He's wearing a hat on this one, in this pic. I don't know if that's gonna stay on for the wedding itself,
Starting point is 00:00:51 but he's got that shit on. What kind of hat? It appears to be a, I can't really tell. Like a fedora, like something you had? No, it's a ball cap, but like a, you just gotta go look, I don't know how else to explain it. It's a hat hat. There's only so many hats. It's a it's a it's a ballcat but uh like uh you just gotta go look. I don't know how to explain it. It's a hat hat. There's only so many hats. It's a hat hat like this. Okay. Yeah. Dylan Shivery. Hey, man. I'm very happy to be here. Hey,
Starting point is 00:01:14 man. It's a big big day in the Shivery household. Parks is about to start fall baseball and he has tryouts today. Couple days ago, took him to to a little baseball clinic. Is he okay? It's a baseball clinic where they just go through different stations and drills. And he was really, he's really, anytime he plays baseball, he gets really nervous
Starting point is 00:01:40 because he's smaller than pretty much all the kids out there. The dude, he shined. He looked so good out there. I'm so proud of him. He was nervous and he overcame it and left that thing with a lot of confidence. I'm like, dude, you got this. And he's like, I think I do too.
Starting point is 00:01:55 So, we're just, we're vibing, man. Let's go, Barks. I'll report back, let you know how he did, but he's looking strong, man. I'm happy for him. What if there was a, like a walk-in like kids clinic and they weren't feeling well, but everybody wore old timey baseball gear. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:14 I mean, that, that's something that, yeah, it'd be more fun than a regular clinic, I guess. But okay. Do you have a member of the restaurant? Y'all may not have had it here, but there was a place in Dallas called magic time machine. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I remember that for sure. Do you remember the restaurant y'all may not have had it here, but there was a place in Dallas called Magic Time Machine Yeah, okay. Oh, I remember that for sure. What if it was Magic Time Machine, but it was for baseball So you walk in it's like oh fuck dude. Demagio is my Taking my temperature today. Oh
Starting point is 00:02:37 What a throwback. Yeah, I forgot all about that place. Yeah Good. No, no, it was a total gimmicky place, but fun for the kids. I'm sure. Yeah. We went one time and I think our waitress was Betty Boop. Okay. I like who, uh, later on, uh, probably five or six years later would, uh, jump off of a wall and walk around the bed that I was in.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Um, as I ate too many homemade bud brownies that my buddy will made. Okay. Cause I'd never done it before. Yeah. It fucked up my shit for a while. I've always heard brownies to stay away from the wheat brownies because you don't know how much they're actually in there.
Starting point is 00:03:12 You don't. I watched him make like the cooking it in the butter and stuff and I'm like, yeah, cool. Sounds great, man. And then I just ate like five of them. Dude, parts out there just flashing the leather, Dave. His arm has gotten stronger. Proud of him, man.
Starting point is 00:03:34 That's great. Yeah, he's ready to turn to come catch a game. You want me to play? No, come watch. You could set up a lawn chair beyond the left field fence and just shout out let's go chili dog. You think I could do like the the cold call guide story where they had the adult playing basketball and like, remember he came back and re-enrolled? You might have to shave your mustache. It's me, but I'm just, I'm back there catching. Yeah, you gotta shave that stash off. The stash is a dead giveaway. Yeah, like this guy is clearly not nine.
Starting point is 00:03:58 But with the hat. Yeah, dude, something there. I went to, so you're familiar with the WTI? Uh, yeah. You know, I rep WTI. The West Texas Invitational. Correct. It's a tournament I frequent, but one of my, one of the guys I played with, he has a
Starting point is 00:04:16 10 year old son who's 170 pounds and apparently just mashes. Okay. And I was, I was thinking how large of a kid 170 is, because you know, that's not that's a little less than you. Right? 170. How old 10? He showed me pics. He's not lying. You know what? You know how much parks ways he's nine? 110. Is that a real guess? Parks 95 pounds. Parks weighs 55 pounds. 55 pounds is my first of all Parkes is small for his age.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Kids are huge. So like a normal nine-year-old is probably 70, 75 pounds. Like it looks like Jim Tommy's son or something. Parkes weighs 55 pounds. He's very little. Okay. 170? Dude, that's three times. This has been confirmed by multiple sources. That's more than three times what Parkes weighs. Dude, that's three times. This has been confirmed. It's more than three times. Multiple sources. Parksways. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:05:06 More than I weigh. Hard to believe. Hey, guess what? People have been championing at the bit for this one. Back in studio. Buffer day. It's Randy Trimbacchi. Konnichiwa, Dave.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Randy-san. Konnichiwa, Dylan. Konnichiwa, Dave. Randy's son. Konnichiwa, Dylan. Konnichiwa, Randy. Welcome back to the States, my man. Hey, hey, happy to be back in the States. How about that jet lag? I did do a buffer day yesterday, so it's not too bad. We're giving you a whole segment later, by the way,
Starting point is 00:05:40 so keep it short for now. Keep this just to the buffer day conversation. Just give us the high level Uh, oh the you just want me to talk about what I did yesterday I mean I could probably guess I imagine you walked in, you know a little slower than normal here Yeah, I pretty much yesterday. I just did laundry. I went to the pool slept at the pool for like two hours and yeah Okay, did you go hog wrangling? I did not Yeah, you did come on. Yeah, you did. Come on, man. Yeah, you did.
Starting point is 00:06:06 That's the best way to reset, man. No, I had, my place is a mess, but you know, it was a good buffer day. What'd you eat for dinner? I had, what did I have? Some sushi? I had some Jets. I had some Jets pizza. Good move. That's a good way to just- It's a good move. It's good buffer day food. Delved some Jets. I had some Jets pizza. That's a good way to just-
Starting point is 00:06:25 It's a good move. It's good buffer day food. Delved back into the American culture with some Jets pizza. Just nothing better than eating some Detroit style pizza after a day of pulverizing your hog. Any pizza over in Japan? They do pizza surely. They do.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Don't save it for the segment, bro. All right, I'll shut up. I'll shut up. Well, welcome back, man. We kind of missed you. You kind of missed me. Yeah. How was uh, how was a grim vuvle? Did it was it was so sick. We had an absolute blast I'm not kidding. We made some friends drove some badass whips I've been driving my midsize SUV like it's a performance vehicle, which is this is he's just peeling out of the parking lot
Starting point is 00:07:03 Every time he leaves for lunch. I honestly When I have to apply the brakes a little bit more than normal I think about that feeling of like being going from like 85 down to you know 25 yeah and just having to just jam on those brakes. Yeah, those cars were fun. It was good It was a good time Randy. Hey you hear about the stream when you were gone? I did two of them, guess what? People were saying that they were cleaner than when you were here. I did watch and I heard you guys
Starting point is 00:07:31 talking a lot of shit the first time. And then the second time you guys were having a little trouble with the camera, I saw. And that's what happened last stream. That's why it was delayed. Didn't we have trouble with the camera? Because of the stuff was on screen, you guys couldn't get it off.
Starting point is 00:07:44 That's why the stream before was delayed because I couldn't get that stuff off and I had to like do it. So things happen, you know? And you just need to know. It was crystal clear, man. The streams have been crystal clear for the past like a month
Starting point is 00:07:58 ever since I switched to the new stuff. I see what he's doing. He's really, he's playing the job security card. It's okay. I don't think Dylan's taking your job anytime soon. I think he hears my footsteps, man. I think that I could just throw away that document and then you would have no idea what to do.
Starting point is 00:08:14 You're probably right. You're probably right. The document was very helpful. You did a great job. Randy, did you see we dropped a new shirt on washedmedia.shop? I did, wash world tour. The washed world tour. Oh yeah, but we sold out yet.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Uh, they it's impossible to sell out as it is on demand. I'm trying to create buzz. I know. No, they don't know. Yeah, not yet, but we're close. It's like 10 left. Did you better go now? Damn it. Go get it. Limited time offer. So people are people are a little upset with some omissions. And I understand that. Yes. But like I said in the comments, saying our last tour, no, we may do another tour in like next month. So keep an eye out. Some good there's some good stuff on that shirt. People are like, what are they talking about? I haven't seen this. Where can they find it? washedmedia.shop. That is correct, David.
Starting point is 00:09:07 You can follow us on Instagram. You can go see a picture of it. The back has a bunch of tour dates, just some little, I don't know if you would call it nuggets, but just little places that have been referenced over the years in their geographic location. Some inside jokes, a lot of inside jokes. It's, it's honestly, I don't know. Will Mons, Gardner snake, Dave in this shirt are probably your top three. You're going to be tough to explain to a random person. You have to sit next to a picnic table at a random bar. I don't know how many, uh,
Starting point is 00:09:43 how many subway shirts have we sold? Not a lot. I know at least two to at a picnic table at a random bar. I don't know how many subway shirts have we sold? Not a lot. I know at least two. At least 200. People were talking on the onlines. On the onlines. Yep. People were upset that subway wasn't included
Starting point is 00:09:54 on this particular shirt. And I was thinking, you know, subway got its own shirt. Yeah. Allegedly. So that's all I'm saying. If you really cared about the subway on centeredly. So, Well, guess what we did? We ran it back with them. We ran it back. So we went 100% at the end of the day. It wasn't a perfect game, but we ended up getting everybody we wanted, right?
Starting point is 00:10:34 It was, it was a pretty excellent episode. Yeah. Uh, find out what, how many oysters one backer can can eat in one sitting. How many oysters you think you can eat in one sitting? You don't strike me as an oyster guy. I just started my oyster journey recently. I could probably eat 30 to 50. Okay. That's a good guess. It's not as many as the guy who called in.
Starting point is 00:10:58 It's not. I heard of the guy we called, I should say. But that's okay. If we're talking cocktail shrimp, I'm talking maybe 120. Oysters, not shrimp. I am just saying another shellfish. Okay. Maybe Randy will write a little something for the newsletter.
Starting point is 00:11:12 You can check that out at washedoutsubstack.com. We send it out every Friday. I'd love to hear or read. Not really edit as much, but I'd love to read something Randy puts together. I still do have some ideas in the hopper. Oh, Japan. But that'll drop Friday morning, very early. That's always fun.
Starting point is 00:11:30 And then tomorrow, I'll let Dylan take this one, the track house. Ooh, the track house tomorrow, Thursday, two o'clock central time. We go live right here from Wash Media HQ. And we're gonna play some golden tea. And guess what? My game is sharper than it's been. Since we started doing this, I I've gone.
Starting point is 00:11:51 I've reached 30 under six times now total. Six times. And. We're flirting with 31 that might mix at 32 and at some point, but 30 under. And that's the goal on the stream is 30 under. If I hit it, I believe Golden T is gonna hand out some gift cards in the stream, in the chat. So come check in, say hi, we answer some questions
Starting point is 00:12:16 or just field topics from the chat too. It's a lot of fun, come through. Did you see the 2023 AL rookie of the year, Gunnar Henderson has attributed his recent success to the arrival of a golden team machine? Yep, I did see that people keep sending me that story and that's cool. Is he any good?
Starting point is 00:12:34 See a real player? I haven't I haven't seen I don't I don't know yet. He's not as good as I am, but surely he's decent. Maybe we can set something up. I would love that. We'll talk to his people. We got some shooters out in Baltimore. Out Baltimore way. Yeah, yeah. I think it's a decent. Maybe we can set something up. I
Starting point is 00:12:45 would love that. We'll talk to his people. We got some shooters out in Baltimore. Baltimore way. Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Well, uh before we get into it, I think it's time to talk about our good friends at Twilery. The performance
Starting point is 00:13:02 menswear brand that brings life changing functionality to your wardrobe. Dylan, it's changed your life. Yeah. Um Twilery is fantastic. I have this uh sport coat that I I brought to Greenville actually. Wore to the meet up. Got it off there and I looked fantastic. Dylan pulls up to the meet up. We don't know. Randy, did you hear about this meet up we did out there? I did hear about it. Yes. About twenty-five. Out Greenville way. People. We pull up, Dylan walks in, just rocking this twilery coat.
Starting point is 00:13:30 It is nice, it's a statement coat. It was a noticeable gasp among everyone that was there. People were talking about it. I made the mistake of not wearing my twilery, but that's okay, because whether you're headed to the airport or the office, or the Air Force even, I'm sure you could wear it there at some point. Twillery's line of suits, shirts, polos and jeans will keep you cool, won't wrinkle and have plenty of stretch to keep you comfy. It is a good flying jacket. I pack it in my carry-on. Yeah, it's a good
Starting point is 00:13:56 move. And there's no wrinkle anywhere. To top it off, Dylan, everything including the suits are machine washable so no more trips to the dry cleaners. That's a huge plus. As a special offer to our listeners, use code WASHED18 for $18 off your first order of $139 or more at twillery.com. Twillery, tailored for performance. All right, Randy, it's your segment now, man. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Randy's back from Japan. Randy's back. Last time we gave Randy a segment to himself, he talked Purdue basketball for about 15 minutes. We're hoping he can top it. Randy, you were in Japan for a while. Give us your first impressions. First impressions. It is a mountainous country.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I did not expect how many mountains I was gonna see there. And I think our tour guide said that it is 70% mountain and like 30% of the land is where everyone lives because that's the only flat parts of the land. So it is quite a beautiful country. Just wherever you look, it's just very scenic. Did you see Mount Fuji?
Starting point is 00:15:01 I did see, well, if you go to my first gram, not the one that I just got off at Rainy Trebek. Not going to do that right now. But if you go there, the one where I'm kind of sitting down in the white shirt, that's Mount Fuji. It was just when I was up in the clouds and everything, that was where it was. I didn't go to the actual top and it was kind of a cloudy day. So did I see it completely? No, but I did get to go see Mount Fuji. You know, it's a dormant volcano. For now. I I don't think that's how dormant works. What do you mean? I think everything is well on dormant means hold on. Hold on. Let him run through this. It's dormant means inactive means
Starting point is 00:15:40 it's no longer active dormant means it's just sleeping. It's waiting. Alright. Alright. Yeah. Have you seen a Lord of the Rings? I have seen Lord there. You familiar with that dragon? Yes. Mowg. Smaug. Smaug. You're familiar with it. Of course. It's comparable to Smaug. So as long as no pesky little fellers try to get in there and take his gold. Well, technically that's the Hobbit, not Lord of the Rings. But yeah, fuck. Sure. Sure. But yeah, fuck, sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:16:06 But what do you want to know? You want me to run through it? How was the cuisine? The cuisine was very good. It was a lot of rice, of course. The thing is, like, I really like ramen and sushi. I've started like sushi, but I only got those once per because you can get pretty good sushi and ramen here in the States and like, it's just a lot cheaper there. There was just like a bunch of random stuff that I was like, I'm going to try anything that I see off the street because I'm not
Starting point is 00:16:33 going to be able to get that in the U S and it was good. The best thing I had was the meat skewers. I had that like two or three times. Those things were delicious. I mean, the Wagyu beef, like if you had it, like I don't even know if I'm gonna have. Have you had any? Yeah, you only eat skewers in Japan now. Wow. But those skewers were so good and they were so cheap.
Starting point is 00:16:56 A lot of the food there, very cheap, which was awesome. Like how much? I would say until the sumo thing, which we'll get to I'm sure later, I didn't spend more than $30 for a meal. Everything was probably around the 15 to $25 range. And like that's mainly because I went off and like got two drinks and more stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:15 The skewers, I had one drink and like seven skewers and that was like $10. I'm like, you know what, run it back. I was satisfied with the first round. I could have left, but you know, I need $10 more for that great food. Why not? How has your tum tum reacted to being back here
Starting point is 00:17:30 in eating our pesticide preservative laden food? I haven't had too much to eat, but to be honest, like my stomach that whole time there was fine. It was great. And then the only time where it didn't feel good was still kind of recovering from a hangover. And then I had Buffalo Wild Wings in the airport. And that didn't feel as good. Which airport?
Starting point is 00:17:53 Minneapolis. Was that your first meal back in the States? Yes. Japan to Minneapolis, Minneapolis to Austin. Is that how it worked? That was the way back. Just one, just one, one change over. Yeah. So the way there, I went to Denver and spent, stayed a night with one of my friends that lives in Denver,
Starting point is 00:18:13 flew from Denver to Vancouver, Vancouver to Osaka. Okay. I love that your first meal back was B-dubs. Yeah. I just had a hangar in for some chicken wings. You're a little hungover on the plan? Oh, very, very hungover. That's crazy. I went out Friday and Saturday night for maybe too long, a minute to like five in the morning.
Starting point is 00:18:36 And I was feeling it till yesterday, kind of. Wow. When you say you went out, were you, I know one night you ran into a couple potential listeners that we'll get to, but were you mainly going out by yourself or did you make some friends? The only nights that I ever went out were Friday and Saturday, the whole time I was there. So Saturday I went out by myself to like the kind of party district and then Friday I went out with the two backers, which I'll get to later, but just right off the front, just
Starting point is 00:19:02 shouts to Shannon Yoko. Great, great people. The great backers. We'll get more into that. But I just, yes. Great people. Which cities did you go to? So started in Osaka and then went to Kyoto, then Nagoya, Nara, or I got those two split up, and then Tokyo. So the only two cities that I really stayed in were Osaka and Tokyo. Those are the only ones I had like a lot of time in.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Okay. Bob, it was bouncing around stuff. You fuck with the culture there? Yes. Good question. The best, the culture there is, the nicest thing that the whole thing there was the trains were so clean and people were just nice on the trains. That's great. And also the escalators, everyone stands on one side so that if anyone wants to walk up them, like you can just walk up.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Which is how it's supposed to work here. I think it used to be like that. It's supposed to be that way here, but everyone's just stupid and selfish. Exactly, but in Japan, everyone abides by that. And they have a very big culture of cleanliness in a way that like trash is, it's surprising how clean the cities are for how little public trash is,
Starting point is 00:20:22 which I think a lot of people say that, like pretty much Japanese culture is, you take care of the trash yourself. Like if you have trash, you take care of it. You like bring it back to your home and you throw it away. Like the only public trash you can find are at vending machines. Otherwise there's like,
Starting point is 00:20:38 like here every corner has like a public trash can. You can barely find any in Japan. And then the city's extremely clean too. Interesting. So you're walking around, you're holding it. Like if you've got a bottle of water, it's like, well, I'm stuck with this bottle. Pretty much until you can find like a store
Starting point is 00:20:53 that might have a trash can or a vending machine. There's vending machines and convenience stores everywhere too, which is really nice. Okay. Did you see any of the wild ass vending machines? I did not. You mean like the ones that sell underwear and stuff?
Starting point is 00:21:09 I did not see those, no. That is a thing. I didn't know that. Yeah. Okay. But they do have vending machines that just have alcohol in them, which is something I don't think ever would be here in the States.
Starting point is 00:21:21 What's the drinking age over there? Can't handle it. I think it's 18 or 20, I can't remember. It's less than 21. Did you get carted or asked for any kind of passport? Nope. No, not once. Fuck yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:33 What'd you mainly drink over there? Lemon sours. They were, that was my drink of choice. They're at every convenience store. So it's like either get a beer or that. And I like, apparently they're really big drink there too. I didn't know. But they were they were delicious. They pretty much just tastes like a Mike's hard but oh man, so good. So good. Any
Starting point is 00:21:53 sake? I did have some sake. Yeah. What are your thoughts on sake? I like sake. Hot or cold? Hot or room temperature? Like they didn't really, I don't think they really serve it chilled. At least I never got it chilled. That's an American thing? Yeah. Like when I got it, it was room temperature is pretty much when I got it.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Did you run a foul of Yakuza? No, no. I was able to stay away from the Yakuza. That's good. You don't mess with those guys. No, no, no. It's a crime syndicate. Tough, tough dudes.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It's a tough outfit. It is a tough outfit. This is it It is a tough outfit. Your boys don't pull tough hombres over there a lot of a lot of cool cars a Lot of people have like the Japanese businessman up there make money and they have some good cars for sure. What was your coolest? I don't know now. Go ahead. We're car guys now. So we're quizzing you. Oh, well, I'm not really a car guy We only really fuck with performance vehicles the the coolest car I think I saw was in the to Toyota Museum and it was like what GT? Turbo or something like that. I don't know. I took pictures of them. All right, little pop quiz for Randy What do you know how Toyota got their start like what they manufactured? Yeah what?
Starting point is 00:23:03 how Toyota got their start, like what they manufactured? Yeah. What? Automatic textile looms. That's right, you got it right. Yeah. Good for you, man. Not only did I have that question for you guys and do you know it,
Starting point is 00:23:13 I was actually at the museum that showed all of them. How about that? Pass the quiz, hot shot. Let's talk sumo wrestling. Yes. You went to a sumo match, then you participated in it. Yes. So it technically wasn't a sumo match.
Starting point is 00:23:26 It was like a, kind of like how medieval times is. It was an exhibition. Yeah. It's like a dinner and show type of thing. And they like explain how sumo wrestling is done. And like, it's very comedic. The guys were hilarious. It was one of my favorite experiences there.
Starting point is 00:23:41 They, they were very funny. And then like they did, they showed you how it all worked. And then they did three rounds and best of three, the first guy won the first one, the second guy won the second one, those were clearly staged. So like, you know, there, but like the third one was like actually legit, like whoever won that one actually won and that was kind of cool to see. And you got to do it. Yeah. And then they like said, Hey volunteers, you got to do it. Yeah, and then they like said,
Starting point is 00:24:05 hey volunteers, you get to do it. And of course they just manhandled all of us because they're professionals and it's hilarious. It was very fun. And the video, which I'm gonna do, anyone that wasn't following along on Instagram on my stories at Rainey Trimbecky, I'm gonna do a highlight of my story.
Starting point is 00:24:24 So I'm gonna put it all together. So you go back and watch everything. Oh, very cool. And the way the guy flipped me does not do it justice on video, how like much it felt like I fully spent. It was great. I think you should write up, not this week, but I think you should put together Randy's guide to Japan.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Like just, cause I bet there's at least 10 listeners right now hearing that and they're gonna like Want to go to what you just went to yeah, and that was the thing that like a lot of stuff I just went in with having no plan I knew that there was like a list of stuff I kind of wanted to do and then all the rest was like exploring that thing I just kind of stumbled upon how it was expensive how challenging was the language barrier? We able to communicate with with most people. Yeah wasn't really challenging that much. A lot of people
Starting point is 00:25:07 speak, speak English. But to be honest, anytime I went to a restaurant, anything they have so many images and a food and then they have English menus for everyone that is pretty simple that like you just point to whatever you want. The only time like I really had to communicate with someone that didn't speak the language too well was I got the baseball ticket. And it isn't online, like they actually had to ship it. So I had to try to
Starting point is 00:25:34 send it to my hotel, it didn't actually arrive at my hotel. And I like, check the shipping, they said they tried to deliver it. And then it was like, I thought it might be at this post office. So I'm trying to talk to the front desk at the hotel. I'm like, all right, well, I'm going to go to that post office and see. And then it was there. So like, but then all that is just Google Translate. We're back and forth.
Starting point is 00:25:54 And like, it's very simple to do. It was a baseball game in Tokyo. Yeah. At the Tokyo Dome. Tokyo Dome. What teams? The Tokyo, I don't know if there's Tokyo Giants, but the Giants, they're the home team of the Tokyo Dome and
Starting point is 00:26:08 then the Dragons. Fuck. Yeah. Yeah. Dove logos. Yeah. You get any swag? I got some swag. I got some. I got you guys some gifts too. I was got which are out there. I need to bring them in here. So maybe I'll go grab those in a second. But the sumo wrestling was of my favorite experiences was the sumo wrestling thing, which I had hit up my friend before and sumo is technically out of season right now. So I was like, I don't actually get to go see a match. But that thing was cool and entertaining and like, you know, food and a show. So if I were ever to go back, I'd want to go back during sumo season because the actual sport seems very cool.
Starting point is 00:26:47 And then the actual like samurai training and stuff I did that museum was awesome. And then feeding the deer was really cool to forgot about the deer. It was like day one that he was there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was the first thing I did. And I was like, this is this is awesome. I think. Yeah. Yeah. It was the first thing I did. And I was like, this is, this is awesome. And yes, I listened to the podcast.
Starting point is 00:27:07 I did almost take an antler to the eye. Yeah. Yeah. We saw that it was captured. Did you have any silly American moments where you like ran afoul of a, of a custom or tradition and you're like, oh, I'm that guy. Not really.
Starting point is 00:27:24 I think I can think of, they all walk on the left side of the road there. They drive on the left side and they walk. So every so often I'd be walking on the right side cause it was like natural to me. And like, I'd have to be like, oh wait, I need to like get on the other side of the road cause I'm looking like an idiot walking a crump,
Starting point is 00:27:40 like from other stuff, which I always thought that it was because of, you know, they walk on the left side of the street because of they drive on a left side street. Apparently, if you were a samurai, you had to be right handed. And then you held your you had your katana on your left side. And if you were to bump like katanas with someone that was like, it was on site if you guys like, so it was custom to walk on the left side. So your katanas would not that was like, it was on site. If you guys like that. So it was like custom to walk on the left side.
Starting point is 00:28:07 So your katanas would not be like bumping into each other. You got to draw down if that shit goes down? Pretty much, yeah. I dare you to pull my katana. How many gringos in Japan? You can see many white people? There was a decent amount. I mean, a little bit.
Starting point is 00:28:23 I mean, yeah, not many. So it's not like, oh wow, there's a American, let's go talk to him. Oh yeah, it kind of was like that. I mean, not many people wanna do that, but I also went to a lot of the touristy parts where it's like a ton of Europeans, Australians, all that. So, but like just walking around Tokyo and Osaka,
Starting point is 00:28:42 like, yeah, not as many at all. What's the story with the listener? all right, so Shin and Yoko So Shin he went to School in Colorado, I believe and he started us like post-grad problems listening and stuff and became a a backer and That both of them originally from Japan. So like he came here for school and then went back there. And then Yoko is his girlfriend and he got her into the pod and
Starting point is 00:29:12 they're big listeners and stuff and very Japanese American too. They're both Japanese. But like, it was interesting. I was talking to them. They were like speaking English to each other, but like certain things they would say in Japanese. I was like, do you guys like speak Japanese or that? No, we call it jenglish that like they just go back and forth using certain stuff. So they DM me saying that they were there and like the big fans and they would like to like get a drink if I had time. So we we went out and did I can't remember what it was called. It
Starting point is 00:29:43 was pretty much hibachi but it wasn't hibachi. Is there some karaoke in there? Yes. So we did that. And then we're like, I want to go out to a bar and we're like, all right, like in between that, like, do you want to do karaoke? And we could just like pregame to get a karaoke room and do that. So we went to a karaoke room. We got a pitcher of lemon sours, which was awesome.
Starting point is 00:30:02 I didn't have to do a pitcher of beer. And then we just sang a bunch of songs, mainly pop punk. And it was great. I have a lot of videos on my phone of us. I've seen karaoke. And he's he's one of the very few proud owners of a Gardner Snake Dave t shirt. Yeah, original, original, which is funny. Because he was like, he's like, I'm surprised that you guys never like, put two and two together that like shirts were getting shipped to Japan. So yeah, he him like I didn't even notice at first
Starting point is 00:30:30 that he was wearing the Gardner's snake Dave shirt. Do people dress up to go out? Apparently not everybody rocking the old school faded Gardner's snake Dave shirt. I don't know people people dress up. Okay. Yeah, but I mean, he had to wear for for had to do it. He had to do it to us. No choice. That was all in Shibuya, which is like where the big like city and like lights and all this stuff whenever you see a picture of Tokyo and stuff like that's that area. So it's a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Okay. Anything else from Japan we need to know about? Man, there's just so many random stuff. The elevator doors when you hit the close door button actually work, so that was cool. There's just a bunch of random stuff that in the moment, I'll probably for the rest of my life be like, you know, actually in Japan, I'll be insufferable about it, but so much fun. Highly recommend going. The food was great. There was there's so much to do. I feel like I only scratched the surface of stuff, but I would
Starting point is 00:31:32 I go back? Yeah, but do I have a desire to go back? Not not so much because like by Monday when I was leaving, I'm like, you know what? If I had like a whole nother day here, I don't really know what I do. I'm pretty satisfied. Like it was a perfect amount of time and got to see a perfect amount of stuff. That's good. It was a lot of
Starting point is 00:31:48 cool time wisely. A one out of 10 rate your trip. Oh, I would put it at in maybe an 8.5, all that maybe like that. I think the biggest problem to me is like the first half was so touristy. And like I was part of that tour group, which was great because they took care of everything, all the hotels, all that stuff. But it was, I was like the probably youngest person on it. It was everyone else was probably above the age of 65. But they were, they're nice people. Majority of the people who are Australians and got to hear some cool stories from people like one guy had an RV in Alaska and wound up at the Fairbanks Air Force base trying
Starting point is 00:32:34 to find gas and they all drew their weapons on him and stuff. So that's just funny to hear stories because everyone on that trip was very well traveled. So I would try and maybe if I were to do something like that, maybe do a tour that's with a younger crew, which, you know, they have. But I want to do this one. And then like just you didn't get as much space, like much time in things. It was like, all right, we're at this temple. We're here for an hour and then we're back on the bus.
Starting point is 00:33:01 So you having a little more time to reflect on stuff would be cool. But overall, like getting to see so much stuff and like getting to enjoy the culture and everything. I had a blast, had some really fun times. Go check out my Instagram. Is Japanese society, are they familiar with the cultural phenomenon that was Shogun here? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Not one person mentioned Shogun when I was there. Like no one on the tours I was with. And like when I was in Osaka Castle, like that's of course where like majority of Shogun takes place. Which another thing, every historic building there has been burnt down at least once or twice and rebuilt. So that was interesting. But like a lot of the Shogun stuff, like I thought
Starting point is 00:33:50 that they would have a whole like, like, you know, exhibit for that guy. But it was more of like the guy before him was they had one floor completely dedicated to them. It was cool getting to see like the Shogun stuff. and being Osaka seeing like the forest and stuff and how different they are from American forests. I would, I'd highly recommend doing all that stuff. But like the samurai ninja museum that I went to, like they mentioned the last samurai movie with Tom Cruise, but they didn't mention anything about Shogun. So, anything about Shogun. So, so I don't know. Okay. Well done, Randy. You did it. I did it. You raw dog the flight too. I, I did break my flight on the way there. You bricked it? I
Starting point is 00:34:34 bricked it. In what way? Uh, so I had gotten a little like clasp thing that like you can put your phone up to that you can like bear it show. But anyways, I left that on the first flight to Vancouver. So I didn't have that. I had looked up the outlets in Japan and they are the same as Americans. I'm like, all right, I don't need to get a converter. So when I got on to my 10 hour flight from Vancouver to Osaka, I had like 40% battery on my phone. I'm like, all right, like this fine. I'll be able to charge the phone on the flight. Not realizing that I was on Air Canada,
Starting point is 00:35:10 which doesn't have the same outlet. So I like had very little thing and didn't have headphones for a little while until they gave me some. So like, I was like, I'm about to have to raw dog this 10 hour flight. Oh God, Randy. But no, I was able to get some headphones and just watch the seat back stuff.

Have you listened? I know, but you've seen clips constantly serve clips of them. Yeah, they uh. They were kind of in my Theo von rotation on Instagram where I was consuming Theo von podcast clips almost Like in lieu of his podcast. I never actually like downloaded and listened
Starting point is 00:37:50 It's not a not a slight to him, but just I was getting a lot of that a lot of reels Same with the Kelsey brothers. Okay, they've had quite the year quite the year and a half really Jason retired Travis started dating the most famous woman in the world. Yep Jason retired. Travis started dating the most famous woman in the world. Yep. They're hot right now. They're hot. What do you think? Let's say wash media wanted to make it run and getting them in the network, making them exclusive to wash media. What would the number be to get them in the door? Oh, I don't know. A couple thousand dollars. Higher. Higher than $2,000. Yeah. than $2,000. Yeah. 30 3,500. More zeros. Okay. $10 billion. $100 million is what Amazon's Wondery is giving the new heights. Pull the curtain back, that's more than we make. Yeah. It is.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Yeah, it is. Okay. Not by much, but a little bit. How do you feel about this as a podcaster yourself, Dave? First of all, is it new heights or new heights podcast? How do you say that? New heights. New heights.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Yeah, there's actually not an H after the T there um heights I feel feel like a good for you guys I don't think either of you were struggling but that's great go get the bigger bag what you're wanting to know is is this a good sign for the podcasting market as a whole? I want to know that. And I also want to know, like, how does it feel that two guys who are recording a podcast that's become popular, mostly because of who they are, and they're newer to the space than we are, and clearly much more successful than we are?
Starting point is 00:39:42 Does that irritate you in a way a little bit? That's kind of been the way this thing's going. Uh, last few years, as you're seeing more, like just pull back the curtain. It kind of seems like advertising budgets are a lot, a lot of them are going more toward, um, uh, retired, uh, NBA player. Recently retired gets paired with a cool podcaster, and their business model's gonna be, let's cut some clip, let's say some wild shit,
Starting point is 00:40:11 let's tell some old stories, and this shit's gonna go crazy on Instagram and TikTok. I wanna listen to a full episode and see what they really have. The clips are entertaining enough, I guess. I don't, you know, they're fine. Obviously, as brothers, they, I'm sure they have
Starting point is 00:40:25 a great rapport with each other, know each other quite well. I need to listen and really dig in and see what the product's like. But yeah, maybe this is a good thing that, that's a lot of money. This is an Amazon-owned company, Wondery? Wondery.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Wondery. Yes. Okay. Wondery, they have global distribution rights to all audio and video episodes where do you listen including the back had lag catalog can lag of all content and rights to create international audio adaptations it's very legalese this mean it's available on some Amazon platform or can't get it anywhere I believe it's a, no, it's everywhere.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Okay. Apple podcast, Spotify, all that. Cause Rogan is only Spotify now. You can only get on Spotify, right? I think he's switched. He is now open. He's everywhere now. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:41:16 He's still with Spotify, but he is now his distributions opened up. I have not listened to the show either. I kind of got a little Kelsey fatigue at the end of last season. You know, I can only see Jason Kelsey like pound on a beer with no shirt on so many times before. I'm like, okay. Does Travis talk about his very famous girlfriend on the episode? Because that'll bring a certain demographic in the door, I would think.
Starting point is 00:41:44 What demographic is that specifically? Young women. Young women? Who love Taylor Swift. Okay. Yeah, I think he does a little bit. I don't think he tells any tales out of school. Right.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I feel like we could be, somebody wants to give us, toss a little bit of that our way. Yeah. I think a tenth of that would do us right. You will sign for a very modest amount compared to this. Yeah. So if Wondery is listening, I would never sell out, but for the right amount I would
Starting point is 00:42:17 consider it. You know what I mean? Sure. Does that make sense? Drop the bag. This is our livelihood at the end of the day. Yeah. I mean, and I think you were our biggest personality when we started so I'm just kind of wondering like is your door you're you're like sure I leverage
Starting point is 00:42:33 my ground floor internet my z-list status and try to get us a bigger bag you were you were around for like the dot-com bubble bursting you've been around the internet for a long long long time. Bulletin board guy. Okay. Sure, yeah. So I guess what I'm asking is what the fuck, what are we waiting on? Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Maybe I haven't talked to the right people. Talk to our biz dev guy out there. So it's on him. This is a big game thing. You've been following big game on your trip? Yeah, not really. Okay. What has he done?
Starting point is 00:43:05 Fuck, he's had some antics. In good taste. He lost one of our bricks, our power bricks. So I had to figure that out earlier. What's a power brick? And then someone broke the light in here. So I leave for two weeks and you guys just throwing everything around.
Starting point is 00:43:19 So one of our lights is out. Do I look like shit? Yeah. You just look a little darker okay oh you you look scrumdily umptuous Dave that's what I'm looking for I still got the full lights on on me looking sharp I'm sure hey uh Randy drop that video from the uh US Open of course um I gotta give a shout out to whoever's running the US Opens social media. I don't know if you've seen this Dylan But they just decided to just put this guy. This is just a normal guy trying to enjoy some tennis
Starting point is 00:43:51 Being a great husband. Oh God bringing a drink to his his beautiful wife there and then some guy Beat him that'll work some guy beat him that'll work some guy just beats him to it as he sits down double fist and that's probably a $40 drink by the way. Tired this guy got cocktail cock wired now he's got two cocktails. Oh everything about that. Let's go out this weekend. What are those crazy tennis event happening? Dude, I don't know. Randy would order. This is in New York City, right? This is New York City, US Open. That's, that's at least a $45 drink. Yeah, you're right. So this dude, this dude just dropped $100 on cocktails sat down and some guy, you can't even see what he looks like from the row behind. It's just like, you know what? I'm going to give your wife or lady friend this beverage. I would like like to the cucking of the highest order
Starting point is 00:44:45 I would like to I would like for this video have to have played about ten seconds longer to see the Immediate aftermath and what exactly happened there surely they know the gentleman behind them. It's just Hopefully just a slight miscommunication of who's getting what at the concession stand, but it certainly looks like the man behind is at the concession stand, but it certainly looks like the man behind is absolutely cucking this very nice gentleman. Gosh, she looks so happy to be receiving that drink too. Does she not see her husband making his way down the aisle with double fist and cocktails? Why did the camera guy focus in on this dude? It's like they were trained on him from the moment he walked out of the tunnel down the
Starting point is 00:45:20 stairs. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Can you run it back with no sound? I need to see it again. I don't know. Can you run it back with no sound? I just I I need to see it again. I can't get enough of this. This poor guy and he just looks like a mark.
Starting point is 00:45:30 He's rocking the glasses. The look he gives immediately is like, oh, I guess this you're taking it from him, not from me. I don't know who the young lady. Young lady seated next to him. Looks like she's famous. I don't. I don't know who she is.
Starting point is 00:45:44 She looks like a somebody and she kind of gives him a look like, oh bro, you're about to get cucked heavy on TV. Hopefully the cameras aren't on you. And sure enough, they were. You ever see anything like this, Randy? I have not. This is insane.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Can you imagine you pull up to the Ren fair and you find a nice maiden and you bring her some ale, some ale or maybe a double mead, your double mead it up and you walk over there and some other gallant night. Oh my God. I can't even imagine. That'd be a, I'd request a duel. What, you have to tap Katanas?
Starting point is 00:46:18 Yeah. Who you got, who you got? Traditional samurai or medieval knight? Oh, better swordsman. I think better swordsman probably probably a samurai, but better steel, I think in general is is a knight. Yeah, I thought that Japanese steel was elite. They they had better forging a steel is because I think they're like
Starting point is 00:46:44 actual steel is a little more impure than you know, you know, European steel. They don't have that Valerian steel. Exactly. You understand the reference Game of Thrones quite popular. Yeah, no, I definitely get that. Yeah, a lot of people love that shit. Valerian steel, dude, it looks like this guy's rocking transfusions. Is that what that is? These are purple. That's a lime atop, right?
Starting point is 00:47:11 It's a big cocktail too. It's like a pint glass. It's like some type of lemonade. It looks very refreshing. I would love one myself. We'll share this on the Soch, on our stories and tweets and whatever for the people who aren't watching on YouTube aren't perennially online but I just we had to make we had to acknowledge this because I mean anytime like it just a
Starting point is 00:47:36 Random shot can get fired at a fan for getting cocked on a drink. You got a you got to talk about it, right? Great camera work really is don't know why you zeroed in on this guy, but it paid off. It really, that's like the question. Do you think it would be fun to be a camera guy at something like this? And for the official US Open Twitter account to post this and say, this is cinema.
Starting point is 00:47:55 The official account. They're aware. They know this, they found some gold here and they had to share it. Good stuff, man. Good stuff. Man, whoever that guy is, that mystery dude handing off the drink I can tell you one thing he doesn't need and that's joy mode because that dude's already got it but guys like us regular fellows like us we could probably use a little joy mode I think I speak for most men when I say we want to have better sex oh yeah dude okay and for the sake of our partner we may need to have better sex. Starting point is 00:48:29 Right, Randy? Yeah. Ready? No, no, no, man. Out there tapping Katanas. I see you. The issue is that over the counter erection pills contain unregulated chemicals. Don't want that.
Starting point is 00:48:42 They suggest unsafe doses and include the risk of several other health problems. Dylan, that's why we partner with our good friends over at Joy Mode. Joy Mode. I have got a segment here and I just want to say I am shocked. I am absolutely surprised that this did not work. Dylan, you ever tried to move meth across the border? Uh twice. Okay. I got I'm surprised that this did like the thread, the yarn out, and just stuffed it and stitched them back up. That's a lot of work.
Starting point is 00:52:06 It took several weeks to prepare the load. You paid the cost to be the boss. But I moved, I moved big boy weight. Tell me if you think this worked. And tell me, actually just post the photo, Randy, and I want you to guess what this is supposed to be. I saw this story when it came out and I was, it seemed like a spoof, like someone was making a joke.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Methamphetamine disguised as a shipment of watermelon seized at the border in San Diego. You guys have to see the pictures of these watermelon. I'm posting it on the story. It is the least watermelon looking package I've ever seen in my life. It's not even the right color. It's not. Really? It's clearly plastic, it's shiny.
Starting point is 00:52:53 There's too much gloss. It's like crinkled, like the paper's crinkled. It's not smooth like a watermelon's supposed to be. They have it in this picture, they're laying amongst real watermelon and they look nothing alike, absolutely nothing alike. Who thought this was gonna work? I mean, if you have the watermelon,
Starting point is 00:53:11 why don't you just haul out the watermelons and put it in there? Like from 100 yards away, like maybe, like maybe, you look at like, those are a little off color. To a trained eyes, border security guys, trained eyes. Yeah, these are, they're not the right, they're very pale compared to a real green watermelon. You know they had the poor SOB
Starting point is 00:53:29 who was driving that tractor trailer, just sitting out on the curb and they're just laughing. He's just like, man, I'm fucked, aren't I? Dude, come on, man. And he's like, look, I didn't, this wasn't my choice, they just had me drive it, I did not, this wasn't my call. 1200, actually 1,220 packages wrapped in paper color to look like watermelon skins. So they just went on to like their parents computer They got they fired up that HP printer and just printed
Starting point is 00:53:56 This is so shitty the shittiest watermelon you can imagine That's tough That's tough total weight over 4,500 pounds. Come on. Come on, man. You're still moving meth like this? Come on. Be better.
Starting point is 00:54:12 I'm not saying put meth across the border, but if you're gonna do it, man. I gotta imagine like the boss like did not know this is how they were gonna do it. And then like found out that he just lost stuff. Just like, whose idea was this? Someone's head's rolling for this. I mean, it's probably literally.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Literally, yeah. Yeah, sadly, that's probably the case. You know who doesn't move meth like this? I have to imagine that Yakuza doesn't fuck with this. Yakuza's not moving it like this at all. I don't know if they move meth. I don't mean to talk out of turn here, but like, come on man
Starting point is 00:54:45 Hey, I I've way them. I didn't want to touch, you know katanas with them at all Did you see anybody? Can you open carry with the katana in Japan? No, I don't I don't think so. They don't have open carry what at least I didn't see it. I Did I did stumble upon a gun shop? I was that was interesting. I didn't know that they had those there. Sick. Did you go in there and get real Texas-y? I thought about it. You're just kinda looking around,
Starting point is 00:55:12 you throw in a big old, big old Lipper in. Big old Godzilla. You're just like, yeah. You're just like hoping somebody asks you about, like you're waiting for them to be like so What do you think about these guns we got here? I thought you'd never ask you looking for a place to spit like got a water bottle Or maybe a jug a spit tune you guys spit tune
Starting point is 00:55:35 You got a water bottle you have to carry around the rest of the day cuz there's no trash cans exactly That's a real beating. Hey, don't tell me about this water buffalo. All right, big story out of Des Moines. A water buffalo who was apparently like moments away from slaughter escaped and is now loose in Des Moines. And the cops approached it shot it. I don't it's unclear if they shot it with a it, shot it. I don't, it's unclear if they shot it with a pistol or shot it with like a trink. I think they shot it with a gun. Like they felt threatened, so they shot it
Starting point is 00:56:13 and it just ran off and it's still loose. And there, it's considered a dangerous animal, aggressive animal, a water buffalo. We're talking water buffalo. A mature one with the horns and everything. You got a bad ass look. Ray's got a picture. He hadn't put it up yet for some reason. There it is. Oh man, that's a good looking water buffalo. Yeah, mature one with the horns and everything. You got a badass look. Rain's got a picture. He hadn't put it up here for some reason. There it is. Oh man. Look at this
Starting point is 00:56:27 thing. What a cool looking animal this is. So, if you're uh in Des Moines, head on a swivel. Okay, so this is someone's ring cam. Yes. Doorbell cam. I got a question. Uh the welcome mat. We already doing gourds. It's a little early. We're doing a little gourd in Des Moines. It's a little early for a gourd themed uh welcomeds. It's a little early. We're doing a little gourd in Des Moines. It's a little early for a gourd themed welcome mat. It says hello fall. Yeah, I have a Labor Day.
Starting point is 00:56:51 It's yeah, we're in August still. But look, I get like I get it. I get excited for fall too. And I had a I had a pumpkin beer the other day. So I'm not one to judge. You are so fucking fratty. I know. I know. I had a pumpkin beer. Shipyard pumpkin ale. Wow. You know, Oktober. I had a pumpkin beer, shipyard, pumpkin ale.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Wow. You had an Oktoberfest in Greenville. I did. Did you hear about that? I did, I did not. So you're, you're pretty much have one of these at your, your place, huh? I come alive in the fall time.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Everybody knows that about me. He's different. It's jacket season. I like to bring it in a little bit early. Did you know that we're eating water buffalo lactose? I didn't know that. Good source of lean protein digest better than other red meats.
Starting point is 00:57:27 I've purchased buffalo meat at the store before. Is that water buffalo or is it like buffalo buffalo? I'm guessing it's a lot of that is water buffalo. I don't know if they have to distinguish the- Okay. It's got the slick back. That hair. No, that's pushback.
Starting point is 00:57:43 You think it's a piece of shit? It might be. You saying this thing's a piece of shit? It might be. You saying this thing's a piece of shit and has what's coming to him? Oh man. Look, if you're in Des Moines, this is kind of exciting though, right? It's like, okay, I'm probably not gonna get smoked
Starting point is 00:57:54 by this thing, but it could happen. I mean, we just did a whole thing on people getting trucked by bulls. Bull justice, this is water buffalo. Did you hear bull justice? I did not, I'm caught up on a lot of justice. This is water buffalo. You hear bull justice? I did not. I I did not. I'm caught up on a lot
Starting point is 00:58:08 of episodes. I mean, you better it's your job. You better listen to all of this thing evaded a slaughter and I'm pulling at this point. I'm pulling for the water buffalo. He's he's in survival mode right now and I I respect that.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Can you zoom in on the behind the the front leg? I almost see a wound. Uh cuz he did get shot. But I don't I feel like it wouldn't be walking around if it, if that was the, uh, the wound, cause that's, that's close to vital. Yeah. You know, me, man, just outdoors guy. I don't know where he got popped.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Let this thing live. If you find it, don't, don't put it down. Don't kill it. Let's see any wound here. He wants to survive and he deserves it. Yeah. You don't have to actually keep doing it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:43 You're not, you're not good at zooming. Yeah, it's not a good program for it. I think it's just a discoloration of the fur there, Dave. Okay, you see I'm talking about that? Yeah, I do. Man, that thing is cute. Mega cute, look at the ears, ears are cute. I just wanna cuddle that thing.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I wanna cuddle it then just eat it for the high amount of protein and iron. You notice things are loaded with antioxidants. I don't know that. I don't know that. That's true. There is a lot of iron. Anyway, head on a swivel in Des Moines, everybody. Don't get, don't get Buffalo Justice. No, don't get smoked by this thing. Because like, if it gets caught on camera, we will talk about it. Unless it's like a child getting hurt seriously or somebody like, you know what I mean? But we'll do an entire segment on it.
Starting point is 00:59:27 We're saying. Not just things, it's days are so numbered and it knows it. Man, that's sad. Remember that dude who hijacked a plane? Like he went and stole a plane. There was nobody on it. And he just stole it from a runway and flew off and like hit the tower up.
Starting point is 00:59:43 And they're like, what are you doing? The gap got the plane plane he just went off for like one last joyride then crashed it. Oh you can hear the audio. I did not know about this. Okay well that's what this thing's doing minus the plane. I don't see this thing taking a plane but if it does we'll be sure to cover it. Has Peter stepped in yet? We don't know. I can't see it might be a female. It's good. Is it time for this weekend in Fon? Let's go out this weekend. There's a crazy event happening. I like to turn off. I just want to be like, I can't do this. Why? I just, I feel like she's just been such a fixture on this show, even the previous show that it's like, if we ever came face to face with her, it would be very, very tough for me to hold it together. Starting point is 01:04:22 What are they just gonna announce, QB one up in Michigan? We all know what you be. We all know it's our boy. I'm seeing some booty chatter that he's not going away quietly. Okay. That's all I'm gonna say. Okay. All I'm gonna say.

I cannot wait till he dies his taxes up Look if we could dice stuff by Davis Warren, that's gonna be a much easier pill for me to swallow Do you know that would be the best thing for content? It would be it would be the funniest thing I hope it doesn't happen. no offense to our boy, but. It'll be, it's gonna be a good game. I think it's gonna be a good game. I mean, it's at the big house.

Starting point is 01:05:35 Are you going to Hillsboro? Are you going to West? Are you going to Duncanville? I'm going to Duncanville. Okay. That would be my first guess, honestly. That's where I'm from. We're heading up. We're heading up this weekend.
Starting point is 01:05:46 We're gonna relax. There's talk, weather permitting. We might either hit the Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth Zoo with the Rhodes Man. Hell yeah. Look, the Fort Worth Zoo is traditionally known as the better zoo, but the Dallas Zoo has gotten better over the last decade plus.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Has he been to a zoo yet? He went to the Austin Zoo. So kinda. Zoo-ish. It's a zoo. It's fine. It's easy enough. But these are big boy zoos.
Starting point is 01:06:18 These are like primate exhibits. They got the big dogs there. They got big dogs. His favorite exhibits, the golden retriever exhibit. Okay. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. Yeah. Now. Yes, we may do that. I'm hoping we can make that work because I've been wanting to go honestly. Honestly, I like taking him to see him get excited about animals.
Starting point is 01:06:38 I like to go get excited by animals to you know, those are sick, man. Feed the giraffe. They got that you know the bridge thing where the giraffes they pop their heads over and toss them whatever the fuck giraffes eat. It's a great time. Yeah. Other than that man just gonna be hanging out. Football? Watching football. Floating around in the pool having some stripes mixing up some toddies probably not toddies but some cocktails maybe some transfusions. I don't know we'll see what my dad's got in store. I don't know. Randy. Don't have much. There's talks of going to Little Woodrow's to watch the games. That's
Starting point is 01:07:17 about it. So I'm going to use this time to go walk out and go get your gifts from Tokyo really quickly. Who's Purdue got real quick? I think ISU, Indiana State University. So let me, let me go grab your gifts from Tokyo really quickly. Who's Purdue got real quick? I think ISU, Indiana State University. So let me go grab your gifts really quick, boys. Little gift swap. Right now? Oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:32 Randy, Randy. What a guy this Randy is. Okay, we'll burn the next 10 seconds. Randy's getting the gifts. I really like the shirt. He's wearing today. I haven't noticed it What color do you think it is? Looks purple to me. It's purple. It's very purple. Oh Many bad don't let Danny's hands on that. Oh, I'm gonna have fun with this It's a mini bad. Oh
Starting point is 01:08:03 Randy oh Please be a I'm going to go with this. This is also it's a mini bat. Oh Randy. Oh please be a Randy got me a little miniature. Look miniature baseball bat from the Giants and then he got some Pokemon cards. Randy, what what exactly is this? It is. I think
Starting point is 01:08:20 it's just more like like some memo cards and stuff that it's like but the case is you know Super Mario three so it's like, but the case is, you know, Super Mario three. So it's like in Japanese. Dude, that's the game that you liked, right? Yeah, it's the game I liked. It's the game I almost had tatted onto my body a number of times, or maybe I did. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Thank you, Randy. You carry kind of rocks, dude. No problem. Very thoughtful. You can't not look at this and get excited. Where'd you get Will? I got him, I don't know if you, it might be a surprise. He might listen.
Starting point is 01:08:51 He stopped listening an hour ago. Okay. I got him a city pop record. I went to a record store. So I got him something. I got Brett a piece of, I don't know if he's going to like it or not, but a volcanic rock from Mount Fuji. Because it looks like doo-doo? It does look a little bit, but like, no, he's a geography guy,
Starting point is 01:09:10 maybe he's geology guy. But yeah, no, I thought those volcanic rocks were pretty cool. Dude, I don't know. I don't really want to open this. Then you don't have to. The packaging is so clean. Yeah, that's from the Nintendo store. So if you go on my story and saw like I was at the Pokemon store and like the Nintendo store was right across from it too. So if you go on my story and saw like I was at the Pokemon store and like the Nintendo store was right across from it too. So like they have some really big stores. So there's a bunch of random stuff in there. I'm like, I need to find something that has the raccoon, you know, super leaf stuff for Dave.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Well, this is a, this is quite the gift. I'm excited. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. I did. going back to two things I forgot about Japan. I said the best thing I ate was the skewers. Second best thing was the fluffy pancakes. They're delicious. The worst thing I had was if you do go to a baseball game over there in Japan, Dylan, don't get the hot dog. I know it's not great to say it was the worst hot dog
Starting point is 01:10:03 I've ever had. Really? It was definitely not all beef. It was like they don't do glosies well over there. They boil them. I think so. It just, the meat was, it was not good at all. I was like, oh, this is the worst. And another funny thing, the frattest thing that I saw in Japan was, and I'm pretty sure Yoko told me that there's a Twitter account. I think it's called Shibuya Moutowns or something like that. People in Japan will just get super drunk.
Starting point is 01:10:29 And since everyone is like polite and like crime is out there, they'll just pass out on the street and sleep there and like no one's going to rob them. So I did see like both nights I just saw people just sleeping pretty much like on the street. I know this account. Yeah. A lot of times it's like businessmen. So you'll see a dude in a suit just passed out. It was so wild.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Like the first night I went to the train station and there's like people just sleeping on the stairs in the train station. I'm like, oh, okay. I'm just gonna step over you and try that in a small town, Dylan. I won't do it. Those are two things I need to forget about.
Starting point is 01:11:03 All right. Well, we will see you guys beyond the paywall. Go check out our Patreon. Circling back Patreon, we're doing listener voicemails later today and it will drop tomorrow. Bye. Bye. Thanks for watching guys!
