Mattel Ranchos.
Hey, we're back.
It's a circling back podcast.
Welcome to the show.
Oh, my name is Dave.
What a day.
It's a Thursday out here.
Randall Trimbecki.
Wow.
Just wow.
I'm sorry.
I didn't realize.
I didn't realize when I made the thumbnail that you were going to be wearing
your Texas state.
Bobcats hat today.
I didn't. I could have not.
I could have prepared you for it, but I thought like the excitement of me just showing up with
it would be enough.
That hat fucks, dude.
It's a good hat. I got it specifically for the big game because my other Texas
state gear is not really built for 90s.
I'm seeing anywhere from 93 to 98 on the, on the temp.
Yeah. Yeah, same.
But thank you.
So what's up?
Is air conditioning working?
I don't want to bring attention to this.
You know, well, you didn't want to talk about it.
It's, okay, kind of.
Okay.
It's acting up, but it does still blow cold air.
Good, good.
But, dude, I don't know.
I think we have like a month to get through,
and then we're probably in the clear.
I'd like to, I'd like to, like, flip the, check the breaker.
Okay.
Make sure there's not one that's tripped.
Oh, my God.
What?
That reminded me of something.
A Lucy breaker?
No.
I watched, sorry, I just hijacked what you were saying.
I was going nowhere.
I watched the Raygun doc yesterday.
Oh.
The break dancer?
Yes.
Okay.
Sorry.
Continue.
I just put on the road.
I do plan on watching that.
I didn't realize it was already out.
Yeah.
Okay.
Are you going to talk about it today?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If you allow me the platform.
Yeah, I'd like to kind of like to lead with it because I'm very excited about it.
Dylan Shivery.
Um, yes, I, gosh, so much going through my head right now. You know what to say. I'm excited to be here for one.
It was a weird start to the pod as I thought I was getting AI scammed.
I know. I thought my dad's identity got stolen. Which has happened before.
It's a thing where they can your family. Yeah. They can get the voice of a loved one and call you.
What was the test question you asked him? It was something about my mom, procedures she's going to have.
Okay.
So I asked, I asked.
And I was like, surely they don't.
You authenticated the other voice.
Yeah, two step.
Two factor authentic.
Man.
Well, I hope, first of all, I hope your mom's, I hope that situation is going to be okay, you know.
Mm-hmm.
But we got a lot happening right now.
I'm excited.
No, it's good.
It's good stuff.
So something happened to me this morning.
All right.
You ready?
Yeah.
Got up.
went out to the living room, checked on roads, got my Kleenex, blew my nose as I do in the morning.
As soon as I blew my nose, just a wicked nosebleed.
Like a nosebleed that I haven't had in maybe decades.
I don't ever get nosebleeds.
I'm a little bit fortunate there.
I don't know if I blew my nose too hard or what, but it was like, whoa, it like sprayed down.
Oh, my God.
Damn.
I've never had one of those, ever.
That's surprising.
Because all the cocaine I do, is that the joke we're doing here?
No, you live in Central Texas, and it's tough for allergy sufferers.
Dry air makes my nose, not like gush, but get a little bit bloody.
Well, that's, every time I go to Vegas.
I think it's the fact that we're in the hot part of the summer, and ACs are just running constantly.
So you're getting nothing but dry AC air.
That's probably not helping.
There you go.
Yeah, Vegas is bad, too.
And you get the cigarette smoke mixed in.
Plus all the cocaine.
cocaine yeah cocaine and uh i don't know whatever you pick up from multiple lovers yes multiple
escorts oh come on no he's in like a forward fiesta oh yes that is the white push
dylan shivery dude you already did this i just do something better fuck dude i got my p kro armstrong
jersey oh yeah pca dude will hit us with the uh ordoneas jersey detroit tigers from like 20 years ago
go he said.
Maglio?
Maglio?
That's swaggy.
I know.
If I wouldn't know it was...
Baseball day,
would have wore my A.J. Persisky jersey into that.
No, please don't.
We never want to see that in here again.
I'm probably going to wear it tomorrow.
He sold exactly one jersey and you own it.
He sold multiple jerseys.
No, people liked him because he was...
A lot of wise assholes.
A world series team.
I guess it's the kind of guy.
If he's on your team, you love him.
He's a ranger.
Everyone else hated him.
I don't think he did anything special, but I do remember liking him on the Rangers.
It seemed like him and Wash got along pretty well.
Anyway.
AJ Prisinski.
Yeah.
We got the buffs.
We're doing Slate later, but we've got the buffs tonight, man.
Colorado.
Yeah.
Georgia Tech.
Not a terrible matchup for a Thursday night.
No, it should be.
I don't know what the line looks like.
I guess we'll save it for slating this.
We'll get Slatey with it.
A big week over on Patreon.
First of all, it's podcast week.
What does that mean?
What's that mean for you, the listener?
It means I need you to go tell friends about the show.
I need you to grab your, if you're on a date or you're at,
you're at the bar with your friend, or you're sitting next to a stranger and they'll allow you to touch their phone.
Just grab their phone and subscribe to the pod.
Yeah.
Do that.
You can watch it on Spotify and YouTube.
You can watch it live on YouTube specifically.
Those are the best places to go, but yeah, man.
Do that.
It's a podcast week.
Also, tell them about Patreon.
We drop two episodes a week there.
one Tuesday, one Friday.
Listener voicemails, we recorded it yesterday. That'll drop tomorrow.
That's a good one. It felt like a good one.
I thought it was a really good one, actually.
Yeah.
And then Tuesday, of course, was Cole Call, and that was really good.
Had some people texting like, hey.
Listen, the best way to support the boys is to subscribe to Patreon.
That's right.
Best way. Helps us greatly. Thank you.
What do you write down over there, Bub?
Well, I'm thinking we haven't picked a theme week out this month yet.
and I wrote something down
because someone had a good name for a week.
You want to share with the class?
Yeah, sure, why not?
We had Shithead Teen Week about, you know,
just Shithead stuff that did as teenagers.
Someone DM me and said that we should rename that
to Teenage Dirtbag Week.
I'm like that's pretty good.
What was the alternate name?
Shithead Teen.
Oh, yeah.
I like Teenage Dirtbag Week.
Yeah, that's a lot of that.
Weedis. Yeah.
So we haven't picked yet,
but that is in the running for this month.
I'm a teenage.
Dirtbag, baby.
We'll pick it next.
Next week.
You didn't think I had that, did you?
You didn't think I had that, did you?
Say something, bitch.
The name of the song.
Yeah, I sing a little piece.
Yeah.
A little ditty.
You said Weezer?
Is that who it is?
Weedis.
Oh.
Okay.
I don't know Weedis.
I know Weezer.
They pretty much did one song and one song only.
Which is teenage gym.
Yeah.
All right.
Oh, what else?
Anything else here in the notes before we jump in?
I don't think so, man.
Okay.

Tocovus point your toes west
remind us about
Ray Gunn
You want to do that one first?
Yeah yeah yeah okay
I just don't want it to get left off
I really want to hear it
Yes Ray Gunn
of course grabbed
international headlines
in summer of 2024
during the Paris Olympics
I remember very vividly
watching that live in this office
because it was on during the day
We recognized immediately that it was bad.
I remember looking at everyone like,
are you guys watching what's going on here?
And my jaw was basically on the floor.
Sure.
Dr. Rachel Gunn is her name, by the way.
For the folks at home that are watching,
if you don't remember, this is the iconic screen grab from her routine.
Dr. Rachel Gunn is her name, like I said.
And yes, she is an Olympic breakdancer.
And her routine was so awkward.
and so bad that it took the internet by absolute storm.
Also, I believe this event is no longer in the Olympics.
You're right.
It was a one and done.
Even though there's like,
this was the first time they introduced breakdancing to the Olympics.
And I don't know why.
I don't know.
I don't want to say she killed it,
but people weren't taking it very seriously.
There was dudes in eighth grade who could go in there and blow this out of the water.
Shout out Rodolfo.
Yeah.
And so.
He was doing the windmill in the gym.
Like,
God, at like 12.
She can't do that.
Overall, it didn't seem like there were like some very impressive acts.
It was very much like the Patriot games where it's like, are these really the best breakdancing?
Yeah, that was my takeaway, too.
It's like there's no way these are the best break dancers in the world, right?
Anyway, there's a documentary on Netflix.
It's, I don't know, like an hour and a half long.
It's an easy watch.
It's interesting.
So Ray Gunn, she got into break dancing because she met her husband.
work. They worked at some like, I don't know, they were in sales, not dancing related at all.
He was already into break dancing. They met, fell in love. That's how she got into it.
So she has only been breakdancing. I want to say five or so years before this happened.
Okay. Like the question, the biggest question I had going into this documentary was how was she
chosen to represent Australia in the Olympics? There's no way she is the best, you know,
female breakdancer in that entire country. Correct. Right.
And so they interview other people from the Australian break dancing community.
And there are these two women that are prevalent throughout the documentary who knew her,
danced with her, and they were like, she's not very good.
Like they were just, they're pretty, pretty blatant about it.
Like, she's not good.
Like, we thought she was kind of awkward.
Anyway, there was an actual qualifying event, an Olympic qualifier in Austin.
Australia.
Yeah.
One of the women in the documentary participated in the qualifier.
The other one didn't.
I think she was a little bit older at the time.
So she, like, I'm going to sit this out.
I think I think like the break dancing has kind of passed me by.
By the way, they're called B girls.
B boys, B girls.
Yeah.
And so one of the women also participated in the qualifier.
And it's kind of unclear, but there were three different rounds.
and they only showed the last round of the qualifying event,
which was her and one other woman.
You had to basically like a bracket style, right?
And then she got to the end.
And neither one of them looked impressive in the qualifying event.
But I will say she did look much better in that event than she did at the Olympics.
All right.
So she just like, she just like hyped herself up, pumped herself up, got all this confidence,
went out there and just hit a bunch of crazy for her moves.
and she won.
It was a two to one vote, basically.
So she, boom, she's in the Olympics.
She said when that happened, like she was kind of overtaken by imposter syndrome.
Like she said, I don't know, like, what am I getting myself into?
She was nervous.
She was nervous.
She said she got on antidepressants because she was just like so, it had so much anxiety about what was coming up.
But she trained her ass off for this event.
Like she had, I don't remember.
the time span between the qualifying event and the Olympics.
But her husband, by the way, break dancer was her coach, she trained her ass off.
Okay.
All right.
She got in the gym.
She did a bunch of weight training and then they did like routine.
They went over like different routines and different moves to do.
So she trained a lot for this.
And then right up before the Olympics, she did some like tournament style events and she just kind of lost
confidence, I guess.
She got the yips?
I don't want to say the yips, but she was like,
I feel like I'm so outclassed by these other people.
Like she was doing these events with like world class break dancers.
And she was like, I don't belong.
I feel, I feel ridiculous being here.
Anyway, she goes to the Olympics.
The first two, if you all recall, they had three rounds.
The first two rounds, she was like, not great.
but she didn't all the awkward stuff she saved for the finale the final round tough by the way she went up against uh so
the two women she went up against first they have there are i guess 18 judges or 18 points you can
score i don't know if it's 18 judges but 18 total points you can score and she lost each round
zero to 18 okay okay and then so the first two she was already down like she knew that she wasn't
going to be advancing.
So she's talking to her husband.
She's like, I don't know what to do.
Like, I know I'm not going to win this thing.
So, and there were some moves that they had been practicing.
She's like, I'm just going to go out there and just fucking just fucking send it.
Basically is what she said.
Hell yeah.
So she had some like, so this is a kangaroo move.
It's not obviously to Australia.
Randy, you understand?
Yeah, because kangaroos are from Australia.
She also hit the sprinkler.
If you all recall, which the sprinkler, that sprinkler mechanism was invented in Australia.
That was also a nod to the homeland.
Oh, dude.
Yeah, everybody knows that.
Yeah.
She did like a, remember she was laying on the sideways on the floor and she like touch her toes and turn around, touch your toes again.
I don't know if that one had, it was like any meaning behind that one, but she was just like, I'm just going to go out there and just fucking go crazy.
That was the shrimp on the Barbie.
It's good.
I don't know.
I don't know.
So she hit that and like everyone, you know, Snoop Dog.
If you remember, Snoop Dog was at the event sitting like feet away from the whole thing.
And he was, he was in this documentary too.
No, they had a clip from like a show that he was on talking about it.
But they couldn't get Snoop Dog?
They couldn't get Snoop Dog.
No, no, no.
But after she, after the last round, when all the awkwardness happened and we're like, what the fuck?
They were like, someone came up to her.
Is it whenever you ready for an interview, we want to do like a post around interview.
situation take your time and every
ready she's like I'm fired up let's do it right now
so meanwhile
the internet is exploding she has no
idea everyone's talking about her
like what the fuck's going on
uh this chick's so awkward
this is the worst thing I've ever seen she doesn't know
this is going on and so the person
interviewing her is like um
how do you feel about the uh response
you're getting on social media now
she's like what are you talking about she has no idea
here's some tweets yeah
and so that's when the
like anxiety kind of sets in for her um by the way she seems like a very nice woman what she had
doctor of dance her doctorate was about break dancing actually okay yeah her uh what's the
dissertation was about break dancing that's the word i was looking for okay um and so
all that happens social media is exploding and she's like it's it's the word i was looking for okay um and so all that
happened social media is exploding and she's like it's going crazy um and then she does like these like video
journals in the in the weeks following by the way this is only two years ago so this document i mean
quite turn around not a ton has happened since then right so she does these video journals
talking about how she's like falling into despair and deep depression and it's really sad
and then they show like the really nastiness of social media and people are calling
calling her the C word and she's a fraud and a total B.
So funny.
I'm laughing at something else.
What?
I didn't realize how nasty it got.
I mean, it was like poke fun of her.
Like we all were.
But people are saying some like really nasty shit.
Yeah,
that's how it always.
And saying that since her husband was the coach,
like they rigged the system to get her into the Olympics,
which wasn't true at all.
Like she legitimately won a qualifying event to get there with like really,
with like neutral legitimate judges.
deciding that she would advance to the Olympics.
You know, social media sucks.
Yeah.
I know I was watching the Love Island USA reunion with Megan last night,
and they were like talking to these people that are like,
yeah, like, you know, I wasn't ready for the social media outpour.
And like I started getting death threats and my family started getting death threats.
It's like just for being on like Love Island?
Like it's fucking crazy.
Social media is a nasty place.
by the way, we're watching this with parks.
And I turn to him, I pause it.
This is why you're not coming on social media for a long time, buddy.
Because people are just terrible.
I mean, to put like a positive bow on this thing, she's like, she's embraced it all.
And she has gotten back.
She's dancing again, which is great.
Let's go.
But she has, like, embraced this whole thing.
And one of the women in the dock that was her friend from Australia, she was kind of, like, nasty throughout the dock.
Like she's like like nice with it?
No, like she does like being nasty about her.
Oh, she's like she's not good, blah, blah, blah.
And then she approached her after the event.
They ran into each other in Australia and she was like, I was really offended by the sprinkler.
I don't know what you're doing.
That's really terrible.
Like that was so bad.
And she was like, but that's from Australia.
You don't understand.
She goes, no, it's not.
And then she's in the documentary and she's like straight up.
I looked it up after the conversation.
I'm wrong.
And it showed like the Wikipedia like screenshot of it.
Um, you know.
I get that.
The problem with the pulling out the sprinkler,
the sprinkler is like a joke dance that your dad would do a wedding in the 90s.
Right.
Which.
It's like the shopping cart or like, you know,
the rolling the dice.
You're doing like the cabbage patch or something.
It's like,
oh, that's like a white guy dancing move.
This is the one for me that seals it.
The kangaroo move.
It's funny because,
oh.
She did a hopping one.
Sorry.
The hop.
She did.
I remember the hop.
She had her hands like this when she was hot.
She loki ate.
That's the one of the people mimicked, I think, more than any other.
It's just that she is so, you know, you look at this image that you just don't even like notice.
Look at the judges.
Look at the judges here.
That guy's got a cool.
That guy, that guy right there.
Dude, far left is just, like, these is disgusting.
I mean, what do you expect breakdancing judges to look like though, you know?
It's like this is what I expect.
What the hell?
Why does this guy look like Michael Block?
That's not Block.
Blocking would be pointing at the camera.
One of the, the second route, the, um,
the woman she went up against in the second round
was like a world champion.
If you remember, her name was Nica.
Uh-huh.
Nica was her like,
I remember KJ was making a lot of jokes about that.
Was her dancer name.
Yes, I think a lot of people were making jokes about it.
But she was straight up, went up against, like,
one of the best female break dancers in the entire world
was so like the juxtaposition, if you will.
It made her dancing look even worse.
She was just set up to fail from the jump.
But she ended up, so in three different rounds, she scored zero points.
Her opponents scored all the points.
And she will live on in infamy.
But I'm happy that she's moved past.
You got a hit one of these.
I don't know who got gold, silver, or bronze, but I know what Raygun is.
Raygun is a dope name.
Yeah, Rachel Gunn.
And, you know, just easier to just roll off the tongue.
By the way, than some others.
Her husband is super likable.
Oh, yeah?
Super likable guy.
They have kids?
No.
No kids.
He's just, he's just a really nice, supportive guy.
They showed her the last round, the one that everyone was making fun of.
It was super embarrassing.
And he was on the dock saying, that was the most beautiful dance I've ever seen, just totally
riding for his wife, which I loved.
The guy's awesome.
The guy's great.
I like her too. She seems like a lovely woman.
See, that's where the problem is having your husband be the coach.
You need a coach to tell you the truth.
He said he said he would switch off from coach to husband one like during their training.
Yeah.
Like the coach would be like, you've got to get better.
That was you got to get sharper.
That's not good.
And then he would switch to husband on.
He's like, babe, I love you.
You're doing so great.
I love how hard you're trying kind of thing.
So he kind of turned it on and off.
He was a cool guy though.
You ever make love to a coach?
I can't say that I have.
No.
This is on the Nettie.
I might check this out.
You should.
It's a fun watch.
It's an easy watch.
Hour and a half, I think.
Yeah, I don't know.
Maybe I'll throw on my Warby Parker blue blockers.
Ooh, that'd be nice.
And watch it.
That's a great freaking idea.
I bet you did.
I bet you had those Bremers on.
Oh.
He's got them, folks.
There we go.
Yeah.
Before Warby Parker,
like my experience buying Glee,
was not good.
Always overpriced.
They didn't have cool styles.
Now you got Warby in the game.
You can try them on virtually like you did.
Sure.
And like I did, I've got the same frame.
Only mine are sunglasses.
Those are transitional lenses, blue block and...
Yeah, you go outside in the sun and they dark and they turn into like really very dark-tented
sunglasses.
I love these.
Warby didn't just make buying glasses easier.
They made the entire experience easier.
You can actually go into one of their stores and get an eye exam right there.
No running around in multiple spots.
no guessing if your prescription's up to date.
Everything's super clean, modern.
Honestly, it feels more like a wellness experience than a typical eye doctor visit.
Now, Dylan and I, we just, we did the virtual trial.
We threw it up on the laptop, tried on a bunch of different frames and said, nope, yep, we're going, we're going Bremers.
And they worked out really well.
It's very easy and like looks way better.
The tech is there for a good, solid virtual try on.
Check out Warby, your one-stop shop, eye exams, glasses, glasses, contact.

Yeah, another year of a prime at Coach.
It's going on there.
I don't know.
They were not good last year, if I recall.
No.
The big one's Saturday.
Well, the big one around here.
There's other games that are probably bigger.
But this one, this is the,
The I-35 rivalry, they've only played one time.
The bobcats of Texas State driving northbound 35, about, I don't know, about 40 minutes maybe.
I told you about Sark's comments about Texas State, didn't I?
Yeah, I was actually looking into some of the chatter around those comments,
and people were kind of joking about Sark.
And I was like, first of all, that's what Sark should do as a coach.
He should gas up the teams he's playing.
I think he has a lot of respect for G.J. Kenny's not lying.
Like, there was, okay, there was a number of people who picked them last year to get an at-large.
And then this year, there's people picking them as well.
So it's not that crazy.
No one's saying they're a contender.
Like, no one is saying that because they're not.
But they are a team that, like, don't be surprised if they're like a nine-win team.
And, you know, them, Memphis, Boise are like, you know, those teams that are like buying to go play that opening round.
to the playoffs like the pack the the winner of the pack 12 doesn't get an auto bid right right
it'll have to be it'll depend on so it's like a g uh i don't know i don't know this terminology here
there is a pathway though there's a path oh yeah yeah for sure a pathway doesn't
it doesn't involve like them winning literally every game right right right so let's see
guaranteed oh okay wait a minute highest rank champion from a group of
Yeah, G6.
Got it.
So, yeah.
Of course, last year you had James Madison.
Yeah.
Texas State played James Madison.
They went to that game.
They could be the James Madison.
They stomped Texas State.
They were so much better.
5220?
It was bad.
But we got rid of the D.C.
Got a revamp defense.
It's, look, not going to make any snap judgments about the Texas State defense after one game at the 40 acres.
But it would be nice to see because they got absolutely just run through.
last year.
And then tomorrow, Friday,
we get to see a couple
top 10 teams play.
We have Oklahoma and Miami.
Wait, what?
They don't play each other.
No, I'm sorry.
Oklahoma plays U-TEP.
Miami plays Stanford.
Wait, they're top 10 teams,
but they're also on serious programs
if they're playing on Friday.
Isn't that weird?
Riddle me that.
I can't, dude.
My theory is being tested right now.
Make it make sense.
I can't.
I cannot do it.
Yeah.
Real quick.
I will say when Texas State back in like 2012, 2012, 2013 became a D1, at that time, what were they, just a D1 team, they were before like a D1 AA.
Their first year, their first game was at ranked Houston, and they were like 33 point dogs, and they won that game.
That's right.
That's, I remember.
Yeah.
It was insane.
I'm trying to remember who, was that Dana Holgers?
I mean, with Texas playing Ohio State Week 2, it's an easy, like, let's look past this game and focus.
Yeah.
And that's that Sark's gonna, he's gonna talk up Texas State to make sure like his team doesn't overlook them.
But also like it doesn't matter if Sark gasses them up now.
Like that like all it matters is like when when time comes around to start, you know, let's say Texas has let's say for some reason, they have three losses.
And there's going to, I think there's going to be a team of three losses that gets in there.
Right.
Let's say then we start looking at resumes.
The only thing it's going to matter is what Texas State did after, you know,
know if if texas beats them by 40 and texas state goes on to win eight or nine games it's like not
you know yeah it's not a cupcake and we'll see i'm going to the game by the way i'm going to the
game will i stay the whole game we'll find out probably won't am i getting a flyover yeah fuck yeah
yeah you better be in your seat man like a boeing two boings maybe i don't know i don't know what the
aircraft will be but you're getting a flyover hell yeah i fucking love a flyover man god
Sick.
Just get me so horny.
A bunch of drones.
Come on, man.
There'll be a drone show at between the third and fourth quarter of the Ohio State game.
Ooh.
Night game.
Where else are we looking?
The matchups, week one, are pretty poor, I must say.
The only one that really is going to be noteworthy is going to be LSU Clemson.
which is the prime time game on Saturday night.
And Clemson is unranked, by the way.
But it's still Clemson.
They have two recent Natty's.
So that's your game.
That's your game Saturday.
Players to watch Saturday, if you're looking for,
if you're just looking to pop in on the circling back bowl,
the back bowl is what they're calling it.
You know all the Texas players to watch.
I don't need to tell them.
I'm talking to the audience.
They're probably familiar with Davis Warren.
One of the 15?
No, no, no.
I'm talking about T-State.
Oh, oh, okay.
Brad Jackson, also a white guy.
That's the quarterback, who I've been calling Brad Davis,
who is a Mavis player in the 80s.
Brad Jackson, good quarterback.
He's like, that's the guy that's going to get gassed up.
You're probably going to see him running for his life.
As Colin Simmons chases him around.
Don't be surprised if you see him,
Turn one upfield and break and like be that, you know, that kind of guy.
He's like a, God, did I call up him to like a poor man's Johnny football last year a couple of times?
I think I did.
That crocs though.
Yeah.
They have a similar game.
Yeah.
He's not a big kid.
He's like maybe six at the most.
But he can throw.
He was a local kid.
He's a San Antonio kid.
A really good player.
A lot of people thought he would leave in the portal this year and get a bag to go to, you know, a good program.
but he stayed at Texas State and we love him for it.
Bo Sparks, wide receiver,
Chris Don Jr., wide receiver.
There's going to be some dudes on Texas State
that'll, in future games this season,
are going to put up big numbers.
Their offense is like what you tune in for.
Again, like I said about the defense,
but the Texas D-line is just insane.
So it's like, I don't really think
we're going to establish the run.
Texas has like three to four.
projected first rounders from the offense, yet I think their defense is going to be
the reason they're as good as they're going to be.
I think the defense is going to be lights out.
Yeah.
I think.
Agree.
Tune in tomorrow, though, for Miami at Stanford, our boy Davis Warren, who's off to a good start.
That'll be a fun watch.
That's a good Friday night game.
They're host in Miami?
Yeah.
Okay.
Is that a late night game?
It is.
Let's go.
Eight o'clock.
I'll be at Sturgle.
That'll be fun.
That's okay.
We'll monitor.
We support Davis, a friend of the show, former guest on too much dip.
Okay.
All right.
We're getting into it.
Dude, I've been saying that college football can't get here soon enough.
It's literally here, David.
It's kind of my mantra.
It's literally here.
I'm so ready, man.
Lover.
My fantasy league has to get the Dan, the Dan Snapchat tattooed on their body.
The football can't get here soon enough?
That's good.
That's good.
Can you imagine?
No.
Just Dan register on your shoulder.
And it's like not, it's, it's pre facial hair, Dan, if I remember right?
Which, let me see if I have it.
You're just like, man, we need that beard.
It's a double, it's double snap filtered Dan.
Ah, it's so good.
It's so.
He gets with the black and white and, uh, the, I think this like skinny face hit filters or something.
It's so great.
You pull it up, right?
Who's Purdue got?
Indiana State University.
D.
Dube.
Is that going to be a problem?
No.
You sure?
You sure about that?
Okay, Dan's got a little beard here.
He does.
It's so good.
It's funny because when he took this picture, I was in my office probably 30 feet from
where he was sitting.
I was like, what the, wait a minute.
It's just an all-timer for me.
It's also, we caught Dan.
on like one of his like eight hairstyles yeah they don't hit you with some different hair that's a good one
he's got his UCF polo on he's just ready man i love it yeah he's just his eyes and his nose and his eyebrows
are just that's not that's not that's not dan's at all not in any no he is with a double filthy
he really did uh anything what's your what's your final prediction for the backer bowl
ooh give me texas oregon o
over Texas state, sorry.
Let's say 57 to 20.
3817, Texas.
Damn, I really hope it's not that close.
I'm really hoping for like,
I'm really hoping that it's closer
than it should be in the first half
into where like people are looking around.
I'm like, what's going on?
Because there's a lot of people who don't.
Anecdotally, there's a lot of non-ball knowers who think Texas State is just like a trash program.
I remember watching that.
They don't realize, we've been to three bowls in a row, okay?
Remember what?
The first half of the Texas Ohio State game last year, which was the first game of the season.
I was thinking Texas might win five games.
Yeah, it was bad.
It was so ugly.
I'm going 47 to 7.
Texas.
Hey, dude.
Can I ask you a question?
What's your fucking problem, man?
Oh, my Texas longhorns are going to beat down on your bobcats.
Can I wear the arch jersey?
No.
Can I wear the arch jersey with the bobcats hat?
You can't wear a signed arch jersey to a game.
Why?
It's just inappropriate.
Because you know, I'm going to sweat through it and ruin the autograph.
You can't do that.
I got a big weekend ahead of me.
That rocket money email that comes around Sunday, Monday,
letting me know what I spent is going to hit.

Well, looks like a lot of people.
I mean, oh, somebody's dad, an apology.
This video, these videos.
I'm going to step out of frame to blow my nose.
These videos hit the T.O. yesterday.
And I, I got to say, man, baby Gronk, he might really be him.
Have you seen these, Randy?
I've not seen these.
So baby Gronk is now in eighth grade.
The kids grow up.
fast on us. He's no longer like a little kid. He's got a nasty mullet, though, which suits him
very well, I must say. And he's bigger than everyone out there. And he put up four touchdowns,
I think, 250 yards and four touchdowns. His first play of the game, which we're about to play
for you, was a 65-yard, just little pass out to the flats that he just housed. Get your guy in
space. By the way, in eight-Gronk in space. I played eighth-grade football. And-
Oh, God, dude.
And I swear, like, there was maybe one pass a game.
Dude, seventh, eighth grade football, we threw the, as a wide receiver, there was no one more bored.
No.
And there's no one whose forearms are more jacked up from just blocking.
You just blocking.
There are just, you just don't, you don't pass the ball in eighth grade.
No.
This is not.
If you have an absolute weapon like baby crunk, maybe you got to learn how to throw the ball around a little bit.
We would have so many games had our coaches just had like an, just.
a hint of creativity.
Because we had great athletes.
By the way, if you mentioned
baby gronk in a positive light on Twitter,
he will follow you because I just got the baby gronk follow on.
Oh, nice.
Yeah.
Which one is he?
He's the one at running back.
You'll find out.
He's that running back right here.
Gotcha.
Play this.
He's 5'10, allegedly.
Dude, he moves really well.
Got to say, where's the linebacker?
And this is, by the way, this is Texas.
This isn't like...
This is Ponder.
Fonder's North Texas.
This is...
God, love that.
Oh, this is the sound of Texas.
Oh, cowbell's going.
Oh, linebackers just getting smoked on the block there.
Great block from the tight end.
His team might be...
Pancakes.
His team might be good.
Go back.
Run it again.
Watch the linebacker.
Watch the linebacker.
Watch the tight end pick up.
Watch this.
Boop.
Picks him up.
Run.
Watch it.
Is he going to bury his ass?
Yeah.
Boom.
Yep.
Like, that's that guy.
That's his fault.
He's actually, like, fast.
He's agile.
Maybe a bit twist.
Witchy. People are seeing this and they're like, the best thing it could happen is him actually
become like a five-star prospect. I think that that would be the funniest. It would be hilarious.
I will say, here's what I'm worried about, though. Go ahead. I was just going to say as somebody
who fought like, we follow a lot of Texas high school football and stuff like this is eighth grade.
There's there's hundreds of kids his age in Texas, in North Texas that are this and better.
I'm worried that he is close to maxing out his size.
I think he was an early riser.
We talked about it.
I mean, kids sometimes they hit these early growth spurts and then they just stop growing.
I don't think his dad's a big guy.
I don't know how big the mom is.
So if he's really 5'10, let's say he's got another inch in him or something.
Like maybe you see a position switch.
He's got good.
Like we watch, God, this is pathetic.
He's got ball skills.
We were watching him do like shuttle.
drills and stuff earlier.
He's got pretty good.
He moves pretty well to where you're like, okay, well, maybe he could have some success
on the other end of the ball.
I wonder if that would be in play at all.
I don't know if he's a dog like that.
I need to see more.
I hope this doesn't come across any offensively what it's not intended to be.
People of Latin heritage, they tend to mature quicker than others.
Dude, we played, all right, so we, I played Pop Warner football.
12 years old corsairs played with a bunch of like westlake kids okay all right just a bunch of white
westlake kids we are fucking awesome like we just steamrolled through all of our competition then we played
we had like a we were in the playoffs we played a team from san antonio and it was just all Hispanic
kids and they had like facial hair they were huge and they absolutely destroyed us damn
just absolutely destroyed us they had they just hit puberty seemingly
like three years before we did.
We couldn't keep up.
It was insane.
Is that grong?
He is he, his dad, his dad's Hispanic.
His last name is San Miguel.
He, yeah, he's got, I don't know what the mom is.
I'm just saying, like, that's why my theory that he might, he might be like an early
mature guy.
It could be in play here.
Okay.
That's not offensive, right?
Yeah.
It's live TV.
No, that's fine.
Yeah.
I think you, I think, yeah, I was not offended.
God, this is.
The team from San Antonio, like, we were scared, man.
I was not offended.
Okay.
I'm also not from
Yeah, look, if he's going to stay
Tight-in position, you know, realistically,
to be a competitive tight-end,
you've got to be above six.
I mean, you definitely do.
Yeah, I mean.
Yeah, no one's getting paid to play tight-end
under six feet.
Yeah.
It's just, it's not a thing.
But if he springs up to six-three, though,
and he's still as athletic as he looks here,
he's going to be a dude,
and it's going to be hilarious.
A lot of crow to eat.
I wish he was, he rived up Livy Donne.
No, he did.
That's the thing.
People forget that.
I wish he was a little bit older and I wish there could be an overlap because I really
see a world where he gets recruited by a Dion at Colorado.
That's in play.
That's in play.
He's already committed to every single school.
He's decommitting.
He was a Texas commit at one point.
I was pretty stoked for it.
At some point, like, he's going to start getting, like, he's going to be in that world of
like, yeah, this class of like 2032, uh, tied in at a ponder.
By the way, his first name is Matt.
His name is Madden San Miguel, which is just a dope name, a good football name.
Okay.
All right.
I love, I'm gonna, I will be monitoring the situation here.
Randy might have to issue an apology.
He talks a lot of shit.
250 yards and four touchdowns, one game in.
That's nuts.
Shouts to baby gronk, dude.
I want to see more.
I want to see another highlight.
If you.
If you back out of there, there's another video in that feed.
Keep going.
Right there.
This is a highlight of the game.
That's the first play we've already seen, and then there are more.
So this is from the same play.
That's a crazy good field for eighth grade football, by the way.
His bullet is just flapping in the wind back there.
It's just awesome.
This is his second touchdown.
Oh, that kid's too small.
you know, he's got a flex on him a bit.
He's not an elite route runner yet.
He's got time to develop that, though, Dave.
Is that a fumble recovery?
Maybe I was going to say that if that was a pass,
I definitely have to go.
Here we go.
Just a little screenplay.
You can't, you can't arm tackle.
This team he's playing just doesn't want it.
They don't want to be out there.
That's how people get hurt.
Look at that extension to get in.
Some of these kids, I'm seeing way too.
much a double zero in a bad way.
Double zero is getting posted.
That's not good.
That was me out there.
He's going to want to burn the tape.
I don't know who the DeSoto running back was, but one year when I was, we played there,
and I had to come up from a safety position to try to make a tackle, and I bounced off
this kid so hard.
It's unbelievable.
Dude, I'm excited.
It's Parks.
I mean, Parks is in middle school now.
I'm excited to see their team play at some point.
He's not playing, of course.
Sixth graders aren't even eligible.
Will's got Fritz and Flag.
Yeah.
I'm kind of like wondering, do I need to get roads?
Maybe.
You got to teach him the route tree, man.
It's near and ever too early for the route tree.
That's right.
Let's talk this weekend and fun.
Hey, it's hard money, Micah.
It's time for this weekend and buy.
Bro, let's go out this weekend.
There's a crazy event happening.
I like to turn up.
Bro, there's a crazy event happening.
We had the party and it was lit.
I got yelled out by a prostitute.
Let's just go have fun and they'd go a little.
David Wardrowles, let's go.
This weekend of Fawn, presented by Z biotics.
Boy, do we love Zbiotics.
I got to tell you about them.
It's game-changing product.
I drink it before night out with some drinks.
It's called Zbiotics.
It's pre-alcohol.
I've had it before.
I told a story about I was on a little golf trip with the fellas,
and my roommate just randomly brought a box and said,
hey, man, try these.
I tried them.
Like, yeah, before some drinks, you just drink it down.
It's a tiny little glass bottle.
It's got prebiotics in it, pre-alcohol, Zibiotics, and it's fantastic.
Helps me the next day, kind of be on my game.
I got kids.
I got kids at home, man.
I'm going to try this weekend.
I'm going to try this weekend.
You're going to hear my weekend's pretty big.
I'm a little worried about it.
So World's first genetically engineered probiotic.
It was engineered by Ph.D. microbiologist to break down the acetobias.
Olidaide, of course, an unwanted byproduct of an alcohol metabolism. I've always told you that's the problem. You're always like, what's up with alcohol? I'm like, it's the acetyldehyde. That's what you're feeling. You do say that a lot. Make pre-alcohol your first drink in the night, drink responsibly and enjoy your next day activities. Zbiotics has sold more than 14 million bottles. Earn the trust of thousands, including us. Like I said, I've used it before. I'm going to be using it this weekend. They're awesome. Try for yourself today. And if you're
unsatisfied they will refund your entire order no questions asked head to zbiotics dot com slash
steam use code steam for 15% off your first order zbiotics a partner of ours we're happy to have
them on board try it out promise you're really going to like the way you feel dylan oh thanks for
asking uh dinner friday night it's going to be mexican food we have not yet decided and whether that's
at show in Mexico or
Maddo Ranchos
or Maddo ranchos but that's happening Friday night
a little tune,
little, you know,
little primer for the weekend.
Yeah.
Going to get a little tuned up,
take the weekend of football.
I'm excited for that.
I kind of don't hate the idea
of rolling into Saturday,
the Saturday slate with just a little bit of like,
I kind of got a little hangy.
Dude, a little,
a little hanging gets the boys a little bit high.
It makes you want to drink a beer.
Just like,
That's one time I was, we were ghost hunting.
Yeah.
Remember this?
Yeah.
And there's whiskey sitting there and I just,
I just felt compelled to,
because we were trying to summon the spirits, you know?
Oh, with whiskey.
No pun intended.
Yeah.
Anyway.
You can get drunk.
That's the thing.
I know.
What's I'm worried about?
It's the craziest thing.
I won't mind a little hangingy on Saturday.
I won't mind.
Okay.
You know?
Wake up, maybe,
damn, I can't always.
Right.
I can't wait for that first, like, I say this now.
It's going to be a lot different when it actually hits.
But that first, like, Saturday, it's like I wake up.
It's 45 degrees out.
There's football we're about to be on.
I go out there.
I'm a little hungover.
And I'm like, man, do I, do I, do I pour up a little Guinness for the early games?
Do I do that?
Oh, baby.
You won't.
And then about two hours ago, Chelsea sent me a breakfast place she wants to try.
So I said we're going Saturday morning.
You guys ever been to Sugar Wolf Bakery?
Oh, that sounds like a place that you'd hate.
Chee-Ca is my little Sugar Wolf.
That's good.
No, I've never heard of it.
So we're going there Saturday morning, and then I'm just going to lock in and watch football
pretty much the entire day.
What's the story on Sugar Wolf?
I don't know.
She said she found it.
She looks cool and she wants to go.
Sugar World Bakery.
They have like a full kitchen to it.
It's not just...
Oh, diabetes.
It's not just pastries.
So that's...
That's happening.
Got some family coming in, bringing us up some baby stuff.
My sister and brother-in-law, they're bringing us a crib, I believe.
What if they bring you baby gronk?
Yeah.
Oh, shit.
And we go skin to skin?
I don't know.
He might be holding me at this point.
Big old boy.
He's just patting you on the head.
Dude, what if he frame-mogged you?
That's a top.
Possibly.
If I get a photo of baby gronk, I'm absolutely getting mugged.
And then Sunday we'll have parks.
Probably just get to swim in while we can while it's still hot.
It will be for another two months.
But yeah, we might get a swim in.
I don't know.
Sunday's wide open.
That's all I got.
Football and Mexican food.
It's what's freaking all about, man.
My kind of weekend.
Mexican food can't get here soon enough.
Hey, would you run out the ball?
Would you run?
I don't care.
I know that's baby gronk out there.
You can still try to tackle him.
are you scared to hit because you ain't going to last long out here if you're scared to hit low man wins cool randy
my weekend are you gonna are you gonna see the diabetes wolf no maybe i don't know i just looked it up
so i got tonight i guess i know we still got work tomorrow but uh going to go see a little
string quartet in uh at a brewery up north oh and a little concert dome so that should be interesting
We wanted to do that for a while.
Really?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's like a mini-sphere situation, like a very, very small one.
Okay.
You gonna do drugs?
That's illegal.
Not all of it.
Not all of it.
So that's that.
Friday, you know, we had thought about getting endless shrimp at red lobster.
We need to get it sooner before it goes away again.
So possibly red lobster tomorrow.
We'll see.
Then Saturday plan is to head to San Antonio.
to actually go, you know, to make up for that for Labor Day weekend, go spend the night
there at my old roommate's place.
Just you?
Me and Megan.
Probably do a whole day at the river walk, do something like that, meet up with them.
Skin to skin with Jason.
Skin to skin with Jason, yeah.
Spend a night there, come back sometime on Sunday.
And then maybe just Monday, chill at the pool.
So, San Antonio, hopefully.
Get your little bono at home.
You don't get you a little bodied
And I might do a little frozen reviews
I might do a couple of frozen
You go down to the river walk
Do you mark green a hole
It's getting more high-pitched
New ranking system
Rating system out soon
You follow me on the socials for that
Oh wow
You know proprietary blend holes

Just get out
Maybe
Maybe some people get really upset
if you do that.
Why don't you just make,
you know how to make that shit.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah, you're a guy.
You're a guy who can do stuff.
I know.
You're a real guy.
Be a real guy,
not an AI guy.
Here's the thing.
Here's the thing.
If I do all the work to do it,
people are still just going to accuse it being AI
because that's what people do on the internet now.
It's annoying.
You tell him it's mine.
You get bullet online halls?
Yeah.
Dave.
Are you fucking done, dude?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, diabetes.
That's so stupid.
The wolf is,
it's a diabetes wolf.
and he's the baker.
Sugar wolf?
He's the baker.
The baker you're going to.
Chee's your sugar wolf, though.
We obviously, but like this is the guy, the wolf is back there just handing out diabetes left and right.
Get you some diabetes there.
Oh, you go get you on the statue.
Just a bit of them out.
Cookie Kris was the original diabetes wolf.
That's true.
How did the song go?
It was just,
Cookie Kris.
Cookie Chris.
You going to get you a variety bag of cereal homes?
Well, corn pops.
I get you.
Like, yeah.
You get some buck of charge.
That's just stupid.
No, it's good, dude.
Hey, I got an email from the multi-generational Dave Puller,
a backer Alex, who I said was earlier in the week,
the frontrunner for Backer of the Week.
And after cold call, when we talked to the Born Again Backer,
I since changed that.
He said, kind of crazy.
I'm going to lose Backer of the Week to someone who's
stop listening for six years.
You know what?
That's a fair point.
Hey,
hey,
the prodigal son returns.
Is this person opto?
Because that'll give him
another point in the column.
Yeah,
Alex,
are you opto?
Let us know.
I'm talking to an email.
Are you opto,
house?
Because the Born again guy is opto.
He went two feet.
He did.
And he's also,
like, unless he was lying,
like he's listening to everything.
Yeah.
Which is a lot of content.
That dog behavior.
We do a lot of content house.
Mm-hmm.
You got time to consume all our content in their house?
tonight t-ball practice five o'clock oh god throwing on my lightweight poncho hoodie i'm going out
there putting sunblock on and it'll be happy with me and uh i'm just going to go out there i'm
going to establish myself as like not the assistant coach that's that's been talking for i'm going to be
out there i'm going to show like hey i'll run a drill for you i can run a drill and if if the
assistant coach can't be there halls i'll go over there and coach i'll coach first base do me a favor
Want me a drill, Dave?
Hey, you go out there, run some field and drills, hold.
Pitcher, pitch, batter, bat, hoss.
That's what they do.
Uh, what else?
Are they doing any chatter yet?
Like, we want, we want a batter, not a broken ladder?
No, we don't bully, dude.
Soft.
I'm like you.
This generation is soft.
You got there and you're a pitcher.
Cues you of being a belly hitcher.
Back in my day, back in my day when we were tough, didn't have all this
pansy baseball.
Yeah, what else?
I got a participation trophy,
but guess what?
I got first place.
Uh-huh.
Damn.
Yeah.
So do you put that in your crack pot up and smoking?
The crack pipe?
Yeah.
Why is it crack?
In this situation, you're Biden.
You are...
Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden.
I'm a grown man.
I'm not playing Little League baseball.
Well?
Put it in your crack pipe.
All right.
Well, you're picking up there and right my mom?
Oh, Friday.
Uh, yeah, I'm going to Sturgel tomorrow.
I'm going to Sturgle.
I'm going to Giant Blue Skies tomorrow.
Will's going.
Our accountant's going.
My boy, Sturge is going.
Also named Sturge.
But, yeah.
Got some peeps going on.
That would be fun, man.
I'm pretty stoked.
Pretty stoked halls.
Oh, God.
Going to bed, waking up.
We got T-ball practice Saturday morning.
I don't think I'm going to make it.
I think Alyssa's on that one.
But yeah, because I'm going to Tailgate for the old football game.
Don't really know what the plan is for that yet, but we're going to go.
Go to do something.
Go to Craigsway Tailgate, hosted by Travis and Toad.
I need to shoot Toad a text.
Do it.
Don't have a lot of beers and food.
Ooh, question for them.
Are they going to be wearing Texas gear or?
That is a good question.
I don't want to like because I bet Toad will be in state.
But you know what?
They probably both will.
Probably won't get him to be wearing a home.
Yeah, maybe.
I don't know.
We'll see what the plane is.
I got boys coming up from,
some of these guys are going to be coming up from New Bronfels.
And I don't know, but it's going to be fun.
I'm very, very, I'm looking forward to it.
I've been to a Texas game in four or five years.
Looking forward for it, the flower.
Ray, see my cats.
I just want to see my cats go out there and look, look like they belong.
I really do.
I really would love to see the cats go out there and put up a little bit.
I would like the story of that game.
Okay, best case scenario of the story of the game is, wow, the cats just shocked the world.
Second best story is, what's wrong with Texas, dude?
Why did they give up 24 points to the Texas State?
And, you know, that would be, you know, a good thing to come in here Monday or Tuesday, I guess,
and, you know, rib Dylan on a little bit.
Be like, what's up with that vaunted defense?
But it also hurts me because there's two dunkable panthers on that Texas defense.
That's right.
That's right.
Alex January.
That's right.
A couple future NFLers.
You got that right.
So just saying.
Just saying,
man,
it's weird because it's a holiday weekend and I'm not traveling anywhere.
So we're going to be here.
I'm going to be around.
We got NFL Sunday, huh?
No.
When do we have it?
Week after next?
Yeah.
Week after,
it's next weekend.
Not this week.
that's probably for the best yeah good i need i need sunday to just kind of do whatever i think we're
having a road's having a friend over me a whole thing all right that's all i got anything else before we
get out of here oh hey check out with the chat and run it back yeah right let's and uh comments of
the week what you're gonna do right now yes i'm gonna do right now all right i got four here uh
Riley comments,
Love the cover art.
This is about the Georgia fan
when I had Dave on there.
Spurrier.
That guy was awesome.
Update on this.
The do.
That guy ended up teaching both of my kids
and would show his students the clip.
So if you wonder what that guy's up to,
he's a teacher.
The docks.
That's sick.
Matt comments,
have had my son,
eight,
on the roadside piss train for a while.
Be careful with those doors, though.
When I was a kid, probably four, my dad stopped for me and I peed directly in the little pocket and the inside of the passenger door, said I needed somewhere to aim.
Yeah, I get it.
So be careful.
A lot of people on that episode, Dave, were very much roadside pissers and liked commenting about it.
So you're not alone.
Ooh, can I break news real quick?
Yeah.
SEC's filed a lawsuit against LSU and coach Lane Kiffin.
About the NFL players come back?
Let's fucking go.
Okay.
I love it.
All right.
Go tab back in, Randy.
Sorry.
Nick comments.
Found you guys from Golf Digest's story on Trebekchi courses.
I didn't know they did a little expose on me.
Thanks, you're joining.
And my favorite one of the week, Riley again, getting to this question,
this about the squirrel that, you know, jumped on me.
Did said squirrel have a stripe of white painted on it?
It's a good call.
That's a very good call.
Oh, that's good.
All right.
Let's do a quick run it back.
Before we get out of here, of course, that's a segment during which we talk about what we already talked about.
We got a shorty this week.
We don't condone his grift, but we sort of love Dejohn Love.
His mug shot was tough.
Dude went to Frat Lottie.
Yeah.
Twice, actually.
Softworn.
Randy treated a squirrel wound in the Kalachi store.
Dylan double stuffed the hot dog to save on carbs.
Double barrels.
Maybe Gronk might be a dude.
He might be him.
And finally, some more breaking news,
the injured left tackle for Texas,
Trevor Guseby is good to go against Texas State.
Ooh, I don't like hearing that.
Okay.
And that concludes running back.
Good week of contact, guys.
We're going to see you on Tuesday.
Holiday weekend.
If you can't wait, go check out Patreon.
Listener voice smells job tomorrow.
Bye-bye.
Bye.
Ranchos, metal ranchos, metal ranches.
