All right old ranchos
Mattel Ranchos
All right, we're back
Thursday morning
Circling Back podcast, my name is David.
Hello.
How you doing?
Randall Trebaki's going to produce.
Hi, Dave.
I don't know what intro with.
I have two different intros.
You should.
I told you.
See, I have two prepared unlike someone else.
Flood a little test balloon out there
and you'll see how.
we react. Okay. So I'm just going to go ahead and shamelessly plug. Oh, your boy's on cameo.
Oh, God. Your boy is on cameo. I might same price as Dylan and Dave, but I might give you a discount.
I'm offended that it's the same price as mine. Yeah. So if you guys want some actually good production,
like cameos, like maybe some green screen stuff, like, you know, hit your boy. I've done green screen.
So yeah. So that was that was intro one. Intro two is pretzels on to something. I got,
I got a little plate of pretzels here. And then you know what? Don't be munching on those during the show.
I'm going to give it to bretsle.
Your dots.
Brett has a severe and hopeless dots addiction.
I pick him up a big bag from Costco every couple weeks.
And you're just now discovering.
I mean,
I've known dots is good,
but I'm more of the honey mustard.
He's an original.
He likes Buffalo,
actually more than that.
You're an original.
Thank you.
Ain't no one else like me,
Dylan.
All right.
Well, thanks for that.
That's sick, dude.
Dylan shivery.
I'm sorry for,
I hope I didn't offend you by the,
like,
the nuts situation out there.
Oh, and you did the flying squirrel when I walked in?
No, no, no.
Dave was he went back to back on bags of nuts.
I went pistachios, about 15 grams of protein, plus fiber.
And then I hit him with the cashews.
I have a case of misophonia.
Do you know what that is?
I do not.
Misophonia is when the sound of someone chewing or just sounds coming from someone's mouth,
which mostly is like smacking or whatever.
Dave, not really like a smacker, but even like,
the most subtle sound that really makes me uneasy.
So I had to go sit across the room and I think he was a little affected.
I heard his feelings.
Yeah.
Well, no, he just like, he like broadcasted it.
Like the reason I'm walking over here.
And I was like, why you just put on a headphones?
It's because I suffered through the worst or the, sorry, I suffered through the first bag.
And I said, all right, it's done.
We're done.
And then he went, he went and got another one.
I was like, dude, you got headphones on your desk, don't you?
No.
I don't.
Oh, I don't.
Well, you should.
It's 2026.
It's like when the video game boss gets a second health bar.
No, it's like, I can't do this.
that's good it's good stuff from randy hey uh ladies and gentlemen uh noted uh cbs big 12
analyst taylor mar clarg is here also conference winning quarterback that that's cooler to me
yeah what what would you lead with oh i don't care whatever you want but like what are you more
proud of fan of the pod i didn't check the rider you said it's in the contract to see like what i have
to say what I'm obligated to say much.
Yeah. Welcome back, man.
Thank you. Thank you guys for letting me move this like five different times.
It's all right. We're fairly flexible here. We're just happy when someone stops by.
Yeah. Thank you.
Especially an expert like you. Thank you.
Last time you were here, it was good, man. Thank you. It was real good. I have something for you. I'm hijacking the beginning.
Okay. If you have an ad read, you need to say first. No. What do you got?
I know we're a pro archmanning. Manning.
family.
Yeah, we have, yeah.
All right.
30th anniversary helmet from the Manning camp.
No way.
Oh, nice.
I feel like it'd be good for the studio.
That's sick.
Dude, this is perfect for the studio.
Somewhere in here.
This will not fit my head.
That's certainly not going to fit my head.
That's very cool.
Thank you, sir.
Yeah.
I was like, what am I?
You know, got to bring something to these guys for letting me reschedule five different
times.
You were there again this last one?
I work it every year.
And it's great.
And they treat everybody really well.
And, yeah, man in camp's awesome, but...
You stay in the dorms?
Yeah, it's crazy.
It's like literally going to summer camp.
That's awesome.
Yeah, you're in like a pot of four, and it's like, you know,
South Louisiana in the summer.
It's, the weather's nasty, but it's great.
I heard C.J. Carr was the star.
Yeah, he looks like, anybody that doesn't know,
C.J. Carr, Notre Dame quarterback.
He looks like the Notre Dame quarterback.
You know what I mean?
Like, he walks in and remember like Brady Quinn, like...
Good looking dude, six, four, could throw it a mile, jacked, ends up being a TV analyst, right?
Like, he, like, makes, CJ Carr's the same thing.
He walks in the room and you're like, of course, you're the quarterback for Notre Dame.
And he threw it well, but, like, these guys all look, when they throw, like, there's nobody that sucks.
Right.
Like, everybody, we get through the Manning Camp, people want to be like, who was like the grade or rank, you know, the performances at the, it's like, guys, they're in t-shirts and shorts, throwing routes on air to receivers they don't play with.
Yeah, on social media, you'll see, you'll see, like, clips to get leaked from there.
It's like, oh, Archivist and Out Route, like, he's going to have a bad season.
Or like the big one was, you know, Mateer put on 10 pounds of muscle and he's jacked now.
And it's like, well, he runs the part 20 times.
Oh, yeah, we covered that.
Yeah.
Like, oh, expect him to break out because he put on some mass.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
He's fine.
He's a good quarterback.
You know, the thing about Taylor McCargg is he's a college football analyst for CBS Sports and a former Rice Owls quarterback.
He shares opinions on game atmospheres, conference.
rankings and experiences breaking into sports media.
He also promotes shows like Inside the 12.
Inside the 12.
Is that what it's called?
The Big 12.
It just says Inside the 12 here, which I think Dylan has a show similar.
Season 2 of Inside the 12 coming soon.
That's from Taylor McCart.
That is what your people sent over us for the official intro.
Did you pull that from Twitter?
He leverages AI for all the guests.
And they sometimes you're like, what the hell is that?
What's going on here?
He threw Casey Smith for an absolute loop.
It was fun, though.
That's what did.
I mean, like, it's AI.
We leverage it from time to time.
Oh, man.
We've got voicemails dropping tomorrow on Patreon.
We did, we had, what did we do earlier?
Oh, back to school week on Tuesday.
That was a hit.
I see you trying to eat a pretzel.
You thought you could sneak one end.
You didn't know I was going to look at her.
We're not going to eat pretzels during the show.
Especially with this guy.
You can't be led flaring his misophonia.
This is why this is why Brett's never on the show anymore because he's got that hopeless addiction and they don't let him eat pretzels on the podcast.
Brezzel?
No, they were calling him Brett.
Well, it's we're floating it out there.
Brezell as a nickname.
It's a combination of bread and pretzel.
Yeah, yeah.
Tracking.
Yeah.
Newsletter drops tomorrow.
Wash.
com.
Check it out.
Watch us on Spotify or YouTube.
Those are the two best places to consider.
consume his content. Don't you agree?
I do. You agree with that? Yeah.
It is a visual show.
It really is.
Catch me red-handed with a pretzel.
I feel like this week has been especially visual.
Where did that, where did cheerleader phase come from? Was that Patreon?
That is tomorrow's, yeah. Tomorrow's voicemails. And if you really want to sell that it's a visual show,
the chat is having some fun right now with a potential monging situation.
Dude, I swear it's, all right, here's a situation.
Oh, God.
Oh, no.
I think I'm short torso guy.
Like, I think I'm high cut.
Do I need to sit up or something?
I'm not exactly short.
No, no, no.
That's the problem.
You should sit up, though.
You're magging me.
This originated when KJ would sometimes sit next to me,
then he's a large man.
And I will just look tiny.
And so, plus, I think I slouch a bit.
I'm over here on Dave Island.
I'm good.
Yeah, well.
What they're saying is that you look a lot bigger
than I do on camera,
but I'm used to it.
It's got to have something to do with,
like you're having a hold up a laptop, right?
So it's like you're sitting.
Yeah, sure.
That's definitely what it is.
Yeah.
I think I got a short torso.
You're in great shape, dude.
Okay.
Well, thanks.
Klein told us what high cut was regarding recruits like six years ago.
And ever since Dylan's like, I think that's me actually.
I think that actually applies to me.
I like talking to Klein about high cut and also pigeon-toed athletes.
Oh, yeah.
There's something there for sure.
Yeah, there is.
And you don't recruit knock-kneyed offensive linemen.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's where I fell short.
Stay away from that.
Yeah.
That's where my career ended.
My knees were knocked out.
Or quarterbacks with ugly girlfriends.
Klein says all the goats are slightly pigeon-toed.
Yeah.
Michael Jordan certainly is.
Yeah.
I mean, LeBron's not, which is interesting.
But, like, there's something to it for sure.
There's something there, Dave.
Definitely something to it.
There's something to rollback as well.
L-U-T-E-S-20 for 20% off at checkout.
It's a one-time use code, so load the cart.
Don't be a jackass and just get a hat and call it a day and save a few bucks.
That'd be so stupid.
Yeah.
They got the game day.
Bang for your buck.
They got the game day situation going.
Yeah, I've literally bought everyone they offer.
It's out of control.
They're like, we can't keep sending you game day stuff.
I'm like, good.
I'll go buy the other stuff.
I don't care.
They've got a Chili's collab.
They just dropped.
They did.
That's crazy.
That crew neck goes silly.
Did you get you a crew neck?
I might.
I might use Lutz 20 and get me a crew neck.
Lutz 20 or Randy.
Randy might use it and get himself a crew neck.
He says, we got to talk some ball.
But high cut is like a long-legged athlete, right?
Didn't know what that means?
Kind of slight in the leg?
Yeah, that's such a scouting term.
Like, we should probably just ask Klein again.
Because I'm going to say it wrong and then I'm going to get crushed.
Like you're not a sprinter if you're high-cut, but you're, I think you have fluid hips.
Some bullshit.
He's, Klein's probably going to-
You've been touting yourself as high-cut for all these years.
You should know what it means.
I'm going to look at them.
Yeah, we got to, we got to get Klein to verify that one.
In the meantime, man, what's been going on with Taylor?
Yeah.
Man, we just had another kid, which is crazy.
So, we've got three of them now.
Let me be the first to say congratulations for the McCard family.
Thank you.
Yeah, we're good.
I got my, a new deal with CBS, which is great.
In the years past, I've done like kind of a hybrid, some with ESPN, some with CBS.
I just did one with the SPN.
That's probably the only one I'll do this year.
So I'm the rest of the year.
I'll do the show for the Big 12.
And then I'm doing a lot of stuff with CBS.
I'm doing the games on the weekends.
And then some stuff during the week.
And yeah, man, joining you guys a couple more times this fall.
We love that.
When are you getting to work?
When's your first game?
So I had one of those high school showcases last week,
which is my first ever high school game.
It's where Luke Brian's son was a quarterback.
And then.
Could he spin it?
Philip Rivers.
Yeah, he's really good.
Really?
Philip Rivers' son where Philip Rivers coaches, it was those two teams.
But there were, one of the teams had a bunch of dudes.
The other one did not as much.
But it was like a reminder of how insane Texas high school football is where like
D1 guys are D1 guys, right, no matter where they play.
But the depth for these backups compared to like a Duncanville were like, it's just dramatic.
Yeah.
Or like a Cedar Hill or whoever else.
like an Anderson high school.
And Anderson High School.
Yeah.
Where everybody's high cut.
Yeah.
That's what they're doing.
By the way, I was right.
High,
high cut athlete is a tall sports player with long legs and a high center of gravity.
That's so you.
That's what Dylan is judging all the high school kids on Mr. Trojan.
The player has long legs compared to their torso.
That's you.
It's also why I can't put it on mass.
And that's why every guest that sits on that couch just.
That's my theory.
I've never like, I haven't, I don't how to, I don't, I've never measured my
torso as compared to like the full length of my body. Well, that's why we brought Taylor here. Taylor,
let's measure Dylan's torso. You should have Klein put you through the scouting profile and
have them create it for you. Measure your hands. Measure your torso. I don't think it would be a
I've been a big hands. I've got the three cone drill. Yeah. Yeah, you got I can spin it. You know I can
spin it. Yeah, for sure. You're a good athlete. You're talking to an all-conference quarterback here.
Are you watching hard knocks? I watched the first episode.
a segment um about sam donald spinning it and how he has the highest spin rate in the league yeah it was
fascinating yeah it was long fingers it was football porn long long long fingers yeah snap the ball off
snap he's troy ackman uh high spin rate we can maybe talk about it next week when you finish it but
i watched the v y doc last night because i didn't have anything else going on and um it was it was
it was you know reliving the the natty run was for him because he was just one of the most fun
players of all time was great but the jeff fisher stuff interesting i haven't gotten the jeff
fisher stuff yet but apparently he looks like a total jackass in this he just like has a little bit
zero remorse about anything that happened between he and v y a little bit yeah um we'll check
it we'll talk about it next week yeah i'll finish it yeah did you cry were you watching the
first half honestly no i didn't tear up a little bit i didn't cry no
Because I tear up when I watch...
I do love that, man.
If I see Corey Seeger tie it up, World Series, I tear up every time.
I'll show it to Rhodes.
It's one of my favorite things to show him on my phone.
Dave, who do you think he has a higher vertical?
Dylan or clavicular?
Oh, man.
I'm going to give it to Dylan.
Clyde just doesn't seem like he's athletic.
Oh.
You know, I never checked the chat rankings.
You have the number there?
The vertical actually brought him up in the rankings.
The Grand Ex Combine, I hit 30.
I was a long time ago.
Which is respectable.
Taylor, when's the last time you teared up watching sports?
Probably pretty recently.
I'm the crier between, like, my wife doesn't cry.
So, you know, I'll, it's a good question.
You know what used to get me?
Remember, like, the ESPN, like, Make a Wish segments where they bring a kid and they, you know, let them run around?
Yeah.
Those, I don't know, like, those get me.
Yeah.
I'm easy.
Yeah.
But, like, yeah, upset.
I may not cry out of college football upset, but yeah, I don't know.
I know your people said don't ask him this specifically, but I just wanted to throw you a little zinger there.
Sure.
Could we talk a little ball?
Let's do it.
What's going on in Fort Worth?
Yeah, not great.
Got a big game in Dublin.
So there's a, for anybody that doesn't, not familiar, there was a fight at some point during fall camp.
and they're starting safety that had transferred in from Louisiana Tech
and a receiver who I think is out of the hospital now
but was in the hospital for a while.
There's a police report.
And I forget the exact charge,
but it's either you are brandishing a weapon and using a weapon
or you beat them so badly that it, you know,
is classified as this type of assault.
Aggravated assault.
Aggravated assault. There we go.
So not good.
we just talked about this, and I'm drawing a blank on Caleb.
Jacob Fields.
Jacob Fields.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I had him last year.
We had a lot of tech game with CBS on one of those weeknight games.
And he, like the quarterback that transferred in for TCU is very good.
Came in from Harvard.
Harvard kid.
And everybody wants to talk about him, Jaden Craig.
But this dude was probably the better player, arguably.
And so it's a big loss for them.
The thing that's interesting is like TCU has tried to keep it so hush, hush.
And the story broke like a week after it happened.
there's a police report.
Like this is not,
you're gonna keep the ass forever.
So TCU yanked their credentials for the,
the Fort Worth Star Telegram and they're like mad at them.
Legacy paper, yeah.
Guys, like, this is not one of those that you were going to be able to,
you know, this is going to come out at some point.
Yeah, this isn't high school.
Right.
It's like small town like West Texas high school shit.
This shit's going to get out.
It's kind of wild because, yeah, like we said,
they've got a game overseas.
Yeah.
So it's like, and it's, you know, it's a big game.
A lot of people picking them.
kind of a dark horse.
Yeah.
To at least make it to the Big 12th championship.
And I don't know.
I don't know.
It's weird.
It doesn't seem like them.
The poll and the credentials thing, that got the journals.
Yeah, that got them.
Twitter was fired up yesterday in my little Big 12 bubble.
Yeah.
But anyway, you don't have to just, we don't have to just talk Big 12.
But I did have, I did want to ask about a few things.
Everybody wants to talk tech.
Can we talk Oki State real quick?
Yeah.
We had our first show for Inside the 12 yesterday, and they asked, you know, everybody pick your offensive player there or whatever.
I said Mestemaker.
Like anybody that does not know who this is, Drew Mestemaker, he's from Austin, played at Vandergriff, did not play on his varsity team in high school.
He's the backup.
Walks on to North Texas.
They have a bowl game.
This is two years ago now.
Went off.
Through for, I don't know, 400 or 500 yards.
Went nuts in this game.
Yeah, it was a big story because the, the, the ball game.
The headline was like, this kid hasn't played, you know,
hadn't started a quarterback like literally ever.
Since JV.
Yeah.
The next year, this was last year, they're the number one offense in the American conference.
Eric Morris, head coach, they all go to Oklahoma State.
But the crazy part is like go look at draft projections for next year.
He's one of like the top five or six guys from projections.
And he's only played, started one year at North Texas.
And I think that's going to actually go up.
I saw him.
He's one of the guys that I saw at the Manning Camp.
And like I said, everybody throws it well, but he's a big dude.
He's a good player.
And their defense, he's eye cut.
Their defense is, I don't think it's going to be great, but they're going to score a ton of points.
And they haven't, Oklahoma State, we remember the teams like the Zach Robinson days and Des Bryan.
They've had some really good teams.
They played in the Big 12 championship a couple years ago.
They, it's been a rough couple years.
They haven't won a game in league play in two years.
A ton of roster turnover.
Yeah.
I think they had to bring in like.
Over 70.
kids. I felt like it was like three years in a row where you're like this has got to be it for
Gundy right? And then finally like it felt that way because they were struggling and then you know
the portal would open everyone would jump in and they had to replace you know literally almost the
entire team. So it's like oh they feel like they're not getting any kind of NIL support whatsoever.
Gundy's struggling. Yeah, they were down. I think they have Oregon early this year. I think that'll be a
tough. That's going to be it. You got to think. They won't.
And Moore is a matchup nightmare for them.
I think they're my preseason number one.
Oregon.
I know a lot of analysts would agree with me, but they're just loaded, man.
They are loaded.
Yeah.
How about around Waco Way?
The Lagway show.
Probably the biggest volatility of any, like you could, the butterfly effect for their season.
Like you could have a four-win team, or you could have a 10-11 win team.
Like, you know, it's,
Their schedule, we will know immediately if they've got a shot at having a good year
because they got to play Auburn, but they're playing them in Atlanta.
They don't have to play them at Jurdon Hare.
If they beat Auburn, then you've probably got a pretty good team.
If they lose, you know, probably back around 500 for Baylor.
Yeah, struggling to get a bowl.
Yeah, and it's like, yeah, and they were in the Big 12 championship, what, four years ago, five years ago?
They were there against Oki State.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, that was that team.
And yeah, that was a rando with, I think he mainly had Matt Rule players at that point.
Yeah.
And you're thinking, oh, okay, like, wow, no drop off.
And then, yeah, they've been kind of, as a guy married into a Baylor family and a T-shirt fan, I've, I've followed them.
And it's been, it's been not fun.
Yeah.
I mean, the last year was supposed to be right out of the gate, like Sawyer Roberts and their quarterback last year, they threw it for a billion yards.
Mm-hmm.
but couldn't really stop anybody.
No, it's weird.
Yeah, he did.
He put up some big numbers,
millions of yards.
No, you know, we don't have to bore people with Baylor.
I know Dylan wants to talk Texas.
No, we don't have to talk Texas.
You want to talk Texas State, don't you?
Not a big 12 team, a Pac-12 team, but.
Back to the Big 12.
Do we think this Castellanos,
I don't know how he says his last name,
is transferring to tech.
Yeah, he's going to be the backup, though.
Okay.
Will Hammond is a better player than Castellanos.
Okay.
Like, and it was a, the NFL stuff, like these kids that are coming back.
Actually, it's kind of still remains to be seen if he's going to be able to play.
If he does, he's going to be the backup.
He's not going to, he's not a better player than Will Hammond.
Now, it's, you know, you're at insecurity because Will Hammond at Tours A.
A.C.L. last year.
Right.
But, uh, okay.
There's a third kid that transferred from Tulsa.
I think tech could play him all year.
And I still think they probably go undefeated.
Yeah.
Their defense.
They're going to coast.
Their defense.
is unbelievable.
They're going to coast to the Big 12 championship.
And they were last year.
Like when they went and lost Oregon and it was ugly, it wasn't the defensive side, right?
I mean, it was the offense that was horrendous.
But the defense looked like a big time top eight or ten defense in the country.
They held their own, no problem.
And they're going to be, they might be better this year on defense than they were last year.
Oof, man.
Anything you want to say?
Looking to the camera, maybe proclamations.
Come on.
I got no hate for them boys out Lepiquet.
They got after both of us.
I mean, they got after you a lot worse than me, but they, yeah, I remember that.
What did you do?
What did you come at you for?
I remember I had this, on the show, I was talking about, you know, the only way that you could beat tech is if they got, uh, took somebody out of the game.
Yeah, I was like, you know, the quarterback's injured and I phrased it pretty poorly.
And they were like, you want our quarterback to get hurt.
You were advocating violence.
No, no.
Like, it was like the first time I've ever had a fan base, like really get, get after me.
Oh, that's right.
I forgot that happened.
That was eye opening.
That's funny.
a small timer analyst like myself
that's not the normal.
It's good to get that under your belt though.
Yeah, you know.
You got to get one.
You know,
it's like a quarterback that goes out
and like they don't really get into it
until they get hit hard.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, you know, you're off conference, not me.
But, you know, it's like that.
So now you can really start doing some analyzing
that you've had your little dust up with a cactus,
square toe mafia.
Taylor's just out there bounty hunting.
Yeah, you kind of all.
I got it.
Yeah, I got accused of that.
I went back and watched the clip.
It was like, oh, okay.
I was getting eviscerated, man.
There were some good insults in there, too.
They've got a couple of go-toes that I don't really like to repeat.
I suggested that their star linebacker was wearing a hat backwards, and they called me everything.
I don't know.
I remember.
It was great.
There were some good ones for you, too.
Some good ones, a lot of uncreative ones, too.
Yeah, a lot of ones like, man, come on, dude.
We're not doing that anymore.
I mean, if you want to talk Texas, if you want to talk Texas, if you can talk Texas.
It's all that's not a big deal.
Are you nervous?
Yeah.
Look, Texas has a very, very good team.
I understand that.
I think the defense is going to be a top 10 defense.
They got some dudes from the portal.
I agree.
Must champ is obviously the new defensive coordinator.
I have high hopes for the defense.
The offense, the left side of the line at guard, left guard is what I'm concerned about.
They kind of swung and missed in the portal.
They finally got this kid.
Lawrence Seymour, who's out of, where did he come from?
Western Kentucky?
Western Kentucky.
He's projected to be the starter.
He's like 6-1.
I mean, he had a great season, but I don't know.
I don't know to expect there.
I mean, that was like a revolving door last year at Lefgard.
And it caused a lot of problems for the offense.
The O-line should be improved.
And, of course, we got reports.
reports that Arch has been inconsistent in camp, which I'm not too concerned about.
You know, he played he played well the second half of the season last year.
But I mean, I'm nervous, but mostly because of the schedule.
Texas is good enough to be a playoff team, but they have they can only afford, I think, two losses.
And they, of course, they've got to Ohio State coming week two.
Then you got to go to, you got to go to A&M, you got to go to LSU, you got to go to Tennessee.
You got OU neutral site game.
So it's a tough schedule.
hopes are high, but I'm not letting get action control.
I think I agree with all that.
I think it's two losses depending on, you know,
it really would depend on who the third loss is and how it looks.
Like if you lose close to Ohio State,
OU, and at LSU, you know, that's different than losing on the road at Florida last year.
Yeah.
Right.
So I do think at some point, like one of these SEC teams will get in with three losses.
It hasn't happened yet, but it will happen at some point.
point. The thing that I'm, you know, if I'm a Texas fan against Ohio State right out of the gate,
I just want to see can we run the football. And I know that sounds super elementary.
They could, which they could not do last year. There were way too many third and longs.
And I don't care who the quarterback is or what program. Like they have got to, Relique Brown coming in from Arizona State is a really good player.
Yeah. And I know there's another one that now I'm drawn. Hollywood Smothers. Hollywood Smothers.
NC State. They will be able to run the football.
at a much better clip than they did a year ago.
And it will actually help Arch running the football as well.
So I'm not worried about Texas.
I think they're a one or two lost team.
I think they're in the playoff again.
And I think if they can get in the playoff,
they can beat anybody.
Their biggest challenges, like you said,
can you get through and make sure you're not,
you know, you've got these peaks and values of their schedule
where they have, you know, really tough.
The month of November is brutal.
It's just, it's an unrelenting schedule.
I mean, you can't, you can't take a game off.
You can't.
You got to bring it.
I would tell anybody, like the camp reports, throw those in the trash.
Like, for quarterbacks especially, there's going to be days where they look horrible.
And a lot of times it just, it does not matter.
Like, there are days, because you're also working on stuff.
You're in different situations where you might throw three picks in a scrimmage or in a certain, you know, part of team in camp during one of the practices.
And beat reporters are there and they're like, man, this is not great.
It's not that big a deal.
It's never as good or never as bad as the reports lead you to believe coming out of camp.
I saw David Pollock do the, did you see the tweet that was going around, not from him, from somebody else?
It was like the three red flags for Texas right now.
It was like you mentioned, the camp reports about Arch.
Tianti Smith getting booted from the team.
And then the kid's dad that you mentioned.
The true freshman defensive defense dad who's crying about his kid getting passed over on the depth chart.
I got served, David Pollock, you know, former game day, he's an analyst as well.
I saw it.
It was him.
And I was like, oh, this, so everybody's kind of running with this.
Yeah.
Like everyone.
It's just, you know, the season hasn't started yet.
You got to talk about something.
I think they're making much more out of that than there actually is there.
I mean, parents are going to get upset.
I mean, you got how many kids on a team and, you know, not every kid's going to get playing time.
This kid was like a three-star cornerback.
Like, he shouldn't be expected to, like, move up the depth chart.
But then they brought in that kid, John Meredith, who reclassified to 2026, he was a number
two overall player. Apparently he's
past this kid on the depth chart
and the dad was like not happy about it.
But because he's been there for like three weeks.
That's okay.
Texas is loaded at every position.
Do Cam Coleman.
Cam Coleman's in blue. I can't wait to watch that.
He's like Calvin Johnson.
Is it possible to have like your week one game be a trap game
if you're Texas?
Because that's what I've seen a lot of buzz that is like a sneaky
trap game for them. No.
You don't think it's like a sneaky trap game?
No. Wow. And I love that camera right there. Talk to
G.J. To G.J. Coach Bayliff. I love you guys.
No. The number of things that would have to go wrong, in my opinion, for Texas State to
win that game, we would be talking about like Armageddon for Texas.
I look at it differently. I look at it as a number of things that would have to go right
for Texas State. For the Bobcats.
Like specifically who would need to get injured?
Yeah, yeah.
Look at that camera right there.
That's good, Rayne.
That's good.
Yeah, man.
Okay, just said, just Brad Jackson, you know, got that whole,
basically that whole offense back, cleaned up the offensive line a little bit.
They should both sparks.
Much better on defense than last year.
T State?
Yes.
Defense was tough.
The JMU game.
That was a track.
Yeah.
GMU was great.
They were great, but they were a playoff team the season before.
It looked like they were playing.
No, last year.
I'm sorry, it was last year.
It looked like they were playing Oregon.
It was cool.
They will have no problem in this new look, Pact 12.
I don't think they're going to beat Texas.
I'm not saying I think so.
Yeah, I just think I'm curious.
Some have teased and some have put out there a lot of thought starters and thought-provoking people.
What if this is a trap game?
Texas is looking ahead to week two.
It's a big one.
They are looking ahead to week two.
They're probably preparing for Ohio State and not.
not for Texas State.
Add thought-provoking person to your,
they put that in like in your bio.
He who provokes or she who provokes thoughts.
That's right.
It's interesting.
I'm also interested in talking about story blocks real quick.
Do you mind?
Oh my gosh.
I've been waiting for this.
It's 100% human-made stock media library that's essential for creators.
We're creators and we use story blocks.
We used it in a reel recently, Randy.
Remember that?
Mm-hmm.
And we used it yesterday for the thumbnail.
Is that true?
Yeah.
Very cool.
Designed to save creators time.
Story blocks is a 100%.
sent human-made library built for creators and every asset.
And the library is made by a professional filmmaker or artist, and it's never AI
generated.
All assets are professionally curated.
It's all under one license.
It's so easy.
Have you ever tried to create or do something and you have to go around looking for
what license is this?
What all can I do with it?
They take care of that for you.
I am a creator, Dave.
You are.
I know that about you.
Built to support us, too.
$150,000 plus creators and businesses rely on story blocks is part of their workflow.
head to storyblocks.com, excuse me, head to storyblocks.com
slash steam to access the human-made stock media library that's essential to our workflow.
Sometimes I'll just go in there and look at animal picks too.
Like I get, dude, I was in there looking for stuff for that reel a couple weeks ago.
I was like looking for wolves and I just started looking for wolves.
Like it's kind of a pastime of mine now.
For a limited time, they're offering 15% off any annual plan and that discount is only available through our link.
again that's storyblocks.com slash steam for 15% off annual plans check it out story blocks oh goodness
this college football thing is turning into a real circus huh all these guys coming back and
whatnot things of that nature yes i want to provoke some thought that's been a big one um you
call it a circus online it is a circus yeah it stinks for the the good news is and i've had to
walk back some of my classic me,
walk back some of my takes on this.
It is a short-term problem.
This will not happen every year.
It's because this class,
the NCAA had this five-for-five ruling
after these players declared for the NFL draft.
So guys who had moved on, like, oh, wait.
A lot of them would have transferred and stayed,
you know, the guys that are, okay,
six, seventh round or worst draft grades,
a lot of times, most of the time,
it's more beneficial for them.
and make more money if you go transfer to a P4 school and your starter and get another year
film and see if you can improve your draft stock.
But it is a circus.
I mean, the whole thing, the problem is there's just, there's no real rules.
Like, anytime the NCAA says anything, the question everybody else asks is like,
what if you just didn't listen to them?
What if you just said no?
And I think that's the problem.
Like, there's not really your kind of enforcement mechanisms.
Yeah, and you're having to go to, you know, circuit judges.
in Louisiana to be like, can these guys come back and play pretty please?
Or I'm shopping.
So I don't know.
It is a mess.
It's a circus.
It's also like the offseason for college football just sucks because every year from whatever,
February through middle of August, there's conference reallignment, there's the portal,
there's coaches moving around, and there's a lot of it with NIL too that like, you just don't
feel like there's anybody in charge.
You're like, this is exhausting.
You don't know really what to believe, what to trust, and I think fans get worn out by that.
Absolutely.
It's been pretty hard to follow, even for people who kind of get paid to follow it.
We're like, oh, we should talk about this.
Let's go look it up.
Like, oh, man, you kind of have to be like a legal scholar to understand a lot of this.
So the left guard who, Cole Hudson is his name, who was at Texas and he did camp for, I think the Cowboys and the Browns.
he got so he returned to Texas
because of some loophole
he's actually allowed to stay
and that's the same thing like he didn't sign or something
I work in the sport and I don't understand
there are some players that can and there's some players that can
I don't get it yet. I'm going to get killed if this is wrong
but I believe there was a class action suit
where they are protected by that judge in Louisiana
and it wasn't players that were in Louisiana
they were all over the place if they weren't in that suit
There were others that they're not able to.
There are some that got cut out of mini camp back in the spring and elected to go back,
and they're allowed to.
I don't.
It's really, I'm not the expert on this, clearly.
The only thing I do know that I'm certain of, this will not be a problem moving forward.
It's just relative to this, because these guys are the class of 2022 that they're coming back to get their fifth year, basically.
You mentioned the five for five.
Did you ever take down all five roast beef sandwiches?
Arby's because they used to do the five for five they don't do it anymore.
I did not.
I used to do it often actually.
Like power ranking fast food, I feel like Arby's would actually be higher for me than a lot of people.
I'm with you.
I feel like they diversified their menu.
Like I don't know when I would eat it.
I don't there's not one really, you know, that would be a you're on the road a lot, though.
I did have chilies last night in the Lovefield Airport.
Dude, top three chilies in the world.
Not kidding.
I actually really enjoy the experience.
Love Field is a great airport.
Yeah.
It's way better than DFW.
Yeah, DFW.
I have to connect through DFW all the time for American.
Yeah.
It's not the best.
Do you, when you go out on trips, do you wear like a polo, like a CBS polo?
They give them to us.
I'll wear that sometimes when we go on campus if we're doing like, not just the staff meetings,
but like if we're going to shoot something or whatever, I'll wear that.
But no, I'm not wearing that in the airport.
Do you ever go ahead, don't.
I was going to ask you if you ever bring your conference championship ring out.
My Rice Conference USA ring.
I'll bring that next time.
That thing looks like a Super Bowl ring.
Yeah.
It's so stupid.
It's awesome.
I love it.
I'm very happy.
It's obnoxious.
It's so stupid.
Yeah.
Do you ever run into guys who are like, hey, we played against each other like.
All the time.
Yeah.
In this, in like the announcing gig?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All the time.
Because you get guys that got into coaching or.
You know, they've seen on social media that I'm like, I'm going to be at their school.
And they're like, well, I'm actually going back to this game.
Like that happens all the time, especially in coaching.
That's still a really small, even though it's, you know, a ton of schools and a lot of guys in it.
There's just, I don't know, a fairly small universe.
Yeah.
How's your golf game?
I got, for me, I got good.
And then I got my, I got, I got, it's still, it's tough.
We played in our tournament that we play in every year.
And actually, Coob would be, yeah,
Coob would be the other person that, you know,
I don't think we had the best time.
We got our asses to be.
He didn't, he didn't have fun.
We got our asses beat.
Yeah.
Klein and I did.
We lost to one of our teammates that had rotator cuff surgery in like March.
And he was having to like let go to the club with one arm.
And he beat us.
Yeah.
It's not what you're looking for.
What's the handicap at?
Let's look.
Actually, it went up.
It's always a good sign when you got a look.
I want to make sure.
that I don't lie to you.
Y'all's trips are great.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
6'4.
Oh, that's down there, dude.
Sheesh.
But I'm playing a lot of the same courses over and over
and then went to a new, difficult track.
The first day I played well, the second day
on where they're playing the PGA championship,
that course is difficult.
PGA Frisco?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Are y'all are doing, can I announce this?
Like Brett said you guys might be doing,
Northern Michigan. We are, yeah. Traver City. Because it was 110 degrees and we walked this year.
That's just not enjoyable. We're not doing that. I'm out on that. Yeah, we're not doing that next year.
Dylan, Dylan played a couple weeks ago with us. We played up at UT. I don't play much golf anymore.
He played. Yeah. That's a tough one. Yeah, he played well. Right. Let's go about that.
Made it through the heat. Got to us a little bit at the end, but yeah. Tough. Shout to Blaine.
You struggle off the tea like me. Tough. Yeah.
What's up with this ticker, Dylan?
This is, people aren't happy about the ESPN ticker, man.
They're doing away with it.
They want a cleaner look on screens.
So the ESPN ticker at the bottom that shows you all the scores.
I'm going to miss it.
I don't need a cleaner screen.
I love that.
I'm one foot in on this, and I reserve the right to come back and say I was way wrong.
But I'm actually, I'm applauding this as someone who appreciates the aesthetics of a football game.
I mean, it really, okay, when Texas is playing, like, I,
There could be a marquee matchup going on, and Texas is playing UTSA.
I'm dialed into UTSA, Texas, because that's my team.
And I don't want to have to flip or get out my phone,
like, what's going on with Oregon, Wisconsin, or whatever it is?
You know, I don't want to have to do that.
Dude, if you're me, I just have like eight different screens.
Yeah, I get it.
I have eight screens in my home.
My wife hates it, but I've got eight of them,
and I've got literally every game possible on.
And the biggest one's on Bluey.
And the biggest one's on Bluey, because I don't call the shots of my household, sadly.
my only hope is that they are not doing this to then implement the ticker at the bottom that's just the live betting for that game and for other games because I think that's probably what's going to happen. That's probably what's going to happen. Because there's other sports, like if you go to the UK, they've got that exists. Yeah. We're like you're watching a Premier League game and they're showing you the odds live and also other games. I don't want that. If I'm watching a college football game, like,
There's already enough gambling content in everybody's faces.
Or like so and so has a 92% chance of winning right now.
And they show you the graph of, I hate all that shit.
Yeah, or like the player props.
The gaming culture has gotten, it's overtaking everything.
I hate it.
It's tough.
Or maybe they're going to leave room for like the eventual all the logos that every team is going to be sponsored by to put on the bottom as well.
Good thinking.
What if it's just Matt McAfee lyrics across the bottom?
Can we get y'all to do the jersey patch for Rice?
we'll look into it
you know the price tag on something like that
I don't I can help broker
Relative to the Big 12
Monster deal
Like maybe
I mean they almost had one teed up
And then the AD left and it fell through
Dude two million a team for the Big 12
For the Monster Big 12 with a patch
Doesn't that seem really
I think it sounds like the greatest deal
I've ever heard of in my life
Can you pull it up a picture of Big 12
If you can't monster
As a company man
I have no complaints
That's good for
I don't know
It's, it's, it has been heavily criticized, obviously.
Well, the picture we saw a couple weeks ago,
there's no way they can run with what they had
because it looked just bulky and out of place,
and it's like, no, we gotta get something.
They should have incorporated the monster into, like,
there are people, I mean, someone put it together
and it looked like pretty strong.
They didn't go with it.
They just did the monster logo next to Big 12 on the same patch.
It was clunky.
It was bad.
I'm seeing.
That's the one.
on the right that someone drew up
like they should go with this. That's sick.
That Kansas one, that's them
wearing it kind of middle right. The Kansas
one is, that is the one that was making
the rounds and people were like,
yeah, it's bad.
Yeah, that's, there's
no way. It looks like the guy
is going to change your oil, like his
name tag down at the shop.
Yeah, that's not now.
We're doing better than that.
This is Dave's opinion.
My opinions are my own. Not
everyone on this panel.
Here's your Baylor Bears, right?
Looks like it.
Here's my Baylor Bears.
I like that.
Presented by Monster.
The Monster Big 12.
I like a Monster as much as the next guy.
Tiger Woods is sponsored by Monster.
Yeah.
What do you think about that, Dylan?
He sure is.
Yeah, it's good.
I don't know.
You turn it upside down, then it's 666.
People have been talking about that as well.
You drink and double laughs.
What do you think about that?
Any thoughts there?
No, fresh out.
What else?
What else you got for a special guest?
I don't know, man.
I mean, Texas has got a big game week, too.
I mean, I know we already talked Texas,
but we got Ohio State coming to town.
They lost three first rounders from that defense,
including your Caleb Downs.
Yeah.
Let's do a live tailgate something for the Ole Miss game.
I get to go to that one.
Do you?
Yeah.
I have a Friday night game.
I'm back in time.
All right.
I mean, yeah.
Fuck it.
What do we want to do, storm the field?
Yeah.
Okay.
Can you get us sideline passes?
That would be cool.
To that game?
Yeah.
Yeah.
We have.
Texel Conte.
Can I get four of these?
Please.
We have a donated to the Grove.
You probably could get us some stuff.
Brett.
Bretzel.
Big dog.
Brettzle's got the, yeah, he's a donor.
Okay.
No, we really did.
A donor.
How do you see that game turning out?
We two?
Yeah.
Man.
I think Texas wins that game.
All right.
That is a,
I mean, this is sound like,
don't get, don't get me home, man.
It's going to sound like.
such a footbally answer, but it's what I think, last possession, who has the ball wins the game.
And it's going to be tight.
The only way that that's blown up is somebody has crazy turnover issues.
But that game is going to be played between the 20s and there's going to be some field goals.
There's probably not going to be, there should be some of your explosive plays.
But like, don't think Cam Coleman's going for 200 against Ohio State.
Texas has played Ohio State each of the last two years.
And obviously they didn't win either game.
However, Jeremiah Smith has done literally nothing against Texas.
I don't.
And of course, that'll get clipped and he's going to go for 200 days.
Ohio State.
But that would be a great problem for me.
Yeah, it's not, the defenses are both phenomenal in that game.
And the quarterbacks are also really good in that game.
It's just, it's going to be a, it should be an unbelievable football game.
Like, your, you're spreading that game is going to be Texas minus one.
Yeah.
Texas minus two and a half, something like that.
And it's probably about right.
I mean, that's what it is right now.
I mean, it's minus two or something like that.
I think it's Texas minus two.
Yeah.
I'm not saying this is going to put someone on the hot seat,
but if Sark loses that game, I feel like, I feel like the people, the people of Austin
are going to start to get a little bit like, when are we going to do this?
I think if they miss the playoffs again and you go back to back seasons with this roster,
definitely.
That's where, you guys, you guys, you guys,
The schedule is so tough, and there are so many opportunities.
Like, if they beat OU again and win on the road at LSU and win on the road at A&M,
like the totality of the season, I think Texas fans would be like, all right, we're good.
But, like, if, yeah, if they lose by two scores at home and turn around and lose to OU,
then, yeah, all of a sudden, it's like, this is not feeling great.
Yeah, Sark has a Ryan Day and a Kirby Smart problem.
Those are the teams.
I think against every opponent,
minus those two teams the last, I don't know, like three years,
the record is like incredible, but he has trouble with Georgia.
And also like those are the two of the best teams.
Right, right. You're right.
I think they, yeah, I still think,
floor for me for Texas is 10 and 2.
I don't think they lose three games.
I think A&M is not going to be very good this year,
relative to last year.
I think they will take a step backwards.
I think you win there.
you should beat Oklahoma.
Yeah. Good defense.
But it's Texas OU. Like, who knows?
But you should beat them.
You should beat LSU on the road.
Like, they will be, I think they will be favored at LSU,
which is crazy, but I think it will be favored.
I don't know.
So, you know.
I heard something crazy in this office the other day.
I'm not going to put anybody on blast.
Nobody in this room.
Someone suggested they moved Texas OU to down Arlington way.
Oh, that, that's,
That's been suggested for years.
And I said, dude, there's no fucking way.
I said, dude, you don't know what you're saying.
My, like.
If you say that you haven't been to that game.
My, like, hottest.
I don't even know.
It's a hot take.
I think a lot of people agree.
I would totally do away with the neutral sites.
Until you get into the playoffs and there's a, you know, after the first round.
You'd rather be a home and home.
But like, and it's a small example, but like, Baylor going to Auburn.
That should be played at Jurden Hare.
Why is that not?
I can never get, like, there's always different answers.
A lot of it has to do with, they just make more money.
Whoever's putting the game on makes more, the league makes more money.
Like they're doing the whatever, I think it's the Chick-fil-A kickoff.
They always do on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
Okay.
And they go have that at a neutral site.
And they play them in Jerry World or in Atlanta or in Miami or wherever.
Like, I want those on campus.
Like, don't play that.
I totally agree with that.
A college football game played in an NFL stadium, it takes so much of the, like,
feel out of the game.
Yeah.
It makes it, it just, I hate it.
But no, Texas OU is different because it's, I mean,
the Cotton Bowl is very far from an NFL environment, you know,
you got the state fair and the way they do, you know,
half the stadium is, you know,
crimson, half of its burn orange is so much fun.
Yeah, I've actually, I've never been the game.
It's incredible.
You know, one day, hopefully.
But I'm always friggin working.
It's hot from time to time.
Yeah, that's my worry this year.
It's going to be a scorcher.
Scorcher.
Is it ever rained?
I can never remember one where it rained in that game.
Usually like perfect sunny weather, but it can get up.
I mean, it's October.
It's not as bad as this first one that you're going to.
Yeah, God, dang.
In nine days.
Let's do this weekend of Fawn Randall.
Hey, it's hard money, Micah.
It's time for this weekend.
It's a crazy event happening.
I like to turn up.
Bro, there's a crazy event happening.
We have the party in it.
I got yelled at by a prostitute.
Let's just go have fun and they'd go with it.
Little War Drives, let's go.
This weekend and fun, presented by Takova's.
Ticova's Crafts Quality Western Boots for
everyone from generational ranchers and lifelong cowboys
to first-time boot buyers.
Dylan just got the cart rights.
Actually, he got him like over a year ago.
They're very sick, though.
They're all black he wears.
Heck, he wore him to get married in.
I got married in him.
I've worn him to the ranch.
I've worn them out to the bar.
I worn him metal ranchoes 100 times.
I love the things.

What's your go-to, Matt's? What's your order? I've been on the, uh, the black and red fish for a long
time.
Sneaky good fish.
It's a hot item right now.
And if it's lunch, I'm probably not doing that.
Lunch, I'll do the, I don't know, chicken nachos or beef combo, something like that.
What's your bevy?
Janies, look tahin.
Is that the skinny one or no?
No.
It's a, uh, he said fuck the skinny one, dude.
Heck yeah.
No.
Full high octane for me.

It's going to be like the first game of the year, week zero.
I mean, I know we got some games tonight that are kind of like, whatever.
I'm just excited to watch that game.
By the way, it's supposed to be like raining sideways during that game.
Hell yeah.
It's looking to look like the open championship.
Let's go.
I can't wait.
Is the fan looking at your calendar?
And they're saying like, what's on Dylan?
Dad's, oh, watching ball.
We have a, like, a fridge calendar.
Yeah.
So on Saturday, it says, like, college football Saturday.
And then today it says some football.
We got some.
A tasteful amount of ball.
We got Delaware State.
He's got a C-D-S.
Yeah, same thing as Taylor.
He has no more free weekends for the family.
We got Murray State.
Very State.
Got to see, man.
The racers.
Yeah.
A lot of people talking.
Yeah, it's going to be a football weekend.
Randall.
Going out to a swimming hole on Saturday.
That's about all I know for sure.
Might go back to that pirate bar.
We were supposed to do last weekend, but we never did.
This is the last weekend.
It's going to be up.
might go and get all dressed up for it.
So we'll see.
But that's about it.
Just hanging around, doing stuff around the place.
Maybe you go to...
I'm at all ranchos.
I don't know.
We'll see.
Again.
But I'll probably try to get at least one frozen review filmed this weekend.
He rates Frozen's.
I've seen that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I love it.
Maybe I'll go to Doc's backyard where it'll be like $2 because whenever it hits over
100 degrees to give you $2 marks.
Is that true?
Mm-hmm.
That's a good deal.
Okay.
Which swimming hole?
I'm not going to docks myself.
I'm curious because there's like some backers out there with binoculars looking at me and my bathing suit.
Oh, I think you are, man.
Okay.
I'll let you know once the came through and people are giving me thousands of dollars.
Again, Randy is on cameo.
I'm on cameo.
If you guys haven't heard.
I have not gotten anyone to ask me.
That's something I have not really since becoming an Austinite like over a decade ago.
I've never taken advantage of the swimming holes around town, like outside of town and stuff.
it sounds like fun i'll let you know i'll let you let us know i look about you davy boy uh man
well i'm uh i'm out of town leaving tomorrow um and much like randy i'm not gonna tell you where i'm

no we're not we're not going to watch any ball we're going to go watch uh we're going to go to
Los Palmas. Alyssa and I do a little date night. We're going to, we're basically doing our
normal Labor Day trip up to Duncanville this weekend because of some scheduling conflicts,
mainly on my end, actually all on my end, because next week I'm quite busy. But yeah,
so we're going to be up there. We're going to hit Los Palmas. That's the place that we went as a
group before the Dallas meetup on that Friday last, last spring. It's a great spot.
Very good. What I need to, Alyssa was like, what did y'all have that you really liked? And I was
like everything was really good.
I need to get the standouts.
I know the queso.
I said it was the best queso in the world.
You didn't even get to try the fajitas because you were doing what you were.
I was doing land.
We were trying to get into heaven, Dylan.
Yeah.
The bone marrow butter.
The bone marrow butter.
They drizzled all over the fajitas.
Oh, yeah.
I like the sound of that.
All right.
Cool.
Saturday.
Yeah, we're going to do a pool day at the parents, place.
Sisters are going to come down.
My nephew.
Having a, having a good old time.
And I'm also going to watch some ball.
You don't mind.
Oh, wow.
Love watching Ball to Parents Place.
Just like I used to.
Just like I used to.
You got your comments ready, Randy?
I do have my comments ready.
Ready for Randy's comments of the week.
Before that, I forgot.
This is our last episode in August.
So small business September.
Hit up Brett at washmedia.com if you want to promote your small business.
Because we're going to be in September next week.
All right.
So these are the comments of the week.
Got five for you here.
Long ones. I'm shooting myself in the foot here, but okay, first one.
The lavish light skin comments, I'm new here.
Heard about the pod from declassified CIA documents.
There's no way.
What's all that about, Dave?
No way to true lavish light skin.
Tommy comments, Dave, you need to get this pizza just so we stop hearing about it every week.
I'm going to co-signed that though, dude.
I've heard about you guys from Pizza Weekly magazine.
Almost went the entire show without you mentioned Pizza Hut.
Yeah, yeah.
Get the Pizza Hut original.
pan pizza pizza that's are paying me uh l schultz comments and taylor you might be able to uh help us out
here since you're a football analyst dylan why would you line up in a three-point stance against
miles garrett you got to protect the qb he's a pass rusher he's gonna run right by you if you're in a
three point that's fair all right dylan saw miles you gotta be in a silker park a little bit
at Zooker Park about five years ago.
Yeah.
It was early in the morning.
There were like seven people in the park and he was one of them.
I was like, why is Miles Garrett here?
Yeah.
He's very impressive in person.
Yeah.
No hand in the ground for blocking him.
Yeah.
Well, it was a running play.
I was going to plant his ass.
And he was going to call him a nerd for liking Dungeons and Dragons too, I believe.
That's true.
I was actually a guard.
I was going to pull.
I was going to pull and just pin his ass.
Miles Gary?
Yeah.
Dude, I would just, I would just straight up set the edge.
I was gonna, I was gonna pin him, dude.
I put those big old Kubiak paws on them.
Those big Polish paws.
You don't think I could do that?
What are you, what?
Not that funny.
It's, yeah, I mean, as a, what was your?
I mean, he's good, but like, he's getable.
High, something.
Yeah, he's a high cut athlete.
I don't know if he's high cut.
I saw, you are.
When I looked up the meaning of high cut, I saw that Joe Alt, there were questions about him because he's 6-9 or 6-8-6-9 and he's a bit of a high-cut tackle.
Turns out he's pretty good anyway.
Pretty good.
Not knock-kneed.
No, not knock-kneed.
You don't want that.
This one comes from the live chat today, Jake Beckman.
It's different for me, like how I said, I wasn't going to sleep at all for college football.
Jake says, I might take a nap today just so I can wake up twice in the day football is back.
Okay.
It's good thought.
I like it.
And then this last one favorite of the week from Daniel.
What Randy didn't mention about Hoppers is that John Ham's character traps a skunk in his backyard and died.
Really bleak stuff from Disney.
Okay.
Noted.
That's a ball knower play there.
All right.
Thank you, Randy.
Let's do right back.
Let's write it back.
This segment during which we talked about what we talked about all week long before we get out of here.
We're now calling him brestle after housing another plate of pretzels.
this time at 1045 in the morning.
He's on to something.
Dave watched Total Frat movie and it still stinks.
He actually didn't.
He lied about that.
I did.
Someone got scruy with the TFFM movie IMDB page.
I've been added on the Wikipedia.
I saw it, yeah.
Dylan is high cut.
Taylor's a crier.
Taylor is also pretty bullish on Texas,
which was a wonderful segment we did earlier.
And finally, Dave likes the animal picks on story blocks.
I really do.
And that concludes run it back.
Shout out to the guy who added.
me on the Wikipedia, by the way, because when he screenshotted it and tweeted it at us,
he put like some dots next to it. So I would make sure I make sure I saw it, like as if I
would somehow not notice my name. Under Dillon's like, thank you, man, for pointing it out directly.
So you got writer cred? I'm out. Yeah, I'm going to, I look for that. That's cool. That's like,
that's another feather in the cap. Yeah. Taylor, thank you, man. Thank you guys, man.
You're welcome back whenever you want. Yeah, thank you. We'll do this again. We should do one after.
let's see how it goes against Ohio State.
Yes.
Do a recap.
I might not be in a good mood.
Well, if you could be in a phenomenal moment.
It could be.
Always welcome here, Taylor.
You're a man.
Thank you very much.
Congrats again on the baby girl.
Thank you, sir.
My dog.
See you guys tomorrow for Patreon.
Listener voicemails.
Bye-bye.
