Starting point is 00:00:04 All right, we're back. It's a circling back podcast. It's Wednesday morning. You look at my fun shorts? No, I'm looking at your brace. Oh, I got my fun shorts on today. He's got his fun shorts on today. I've got my podcast and pants on today.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Randall Trembacki producing. Hi, Dave. How you feeling? Feeling good. Feeling, uh, feeling like that. There's a lot to do and not enough time to do it. That's just being an adult. What do you got?
Starting point is 00:00:51 What you got, big dog. You get the game show checked off. You don't have to do one for five weeks. Actually, more than that because I guess, you know, how about this? How about go listen to the game show? It is back. I want to discuss it more later in him. I will say, no spoilers, though.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I've had plain enough people DM me about not wanting spoilers in that live episodes. I'm not going to give any spoilers. because some people wait till Friday. One person said that they do date night and they do it on Friday. So no spoilers. That's mad cute. I hope it ends with the proper most.
Starting point is 00:01:25 To be honest, I think Will was the one that would spoil it more than anyone else. Some naked. But I will say that it is back. It was awesome. I had a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun. A lot of rawness. But do you know it is back on Patreon once a month,
Starting point is 00:01:44 except for October? But so you know, everyone, it is back back. My advice to you would be, enjoy, do you know it? I did. I'll stop. I sure as hell did. Because all of them are awesome. It was, yeah, it was good.
Starting point is 00:01:58 It was really good. I really like the, I went to the Patreon just to see the visual. I like the color scheme. I like the green, the Halloween-ish stuff. Yeah, you like it? You know, there's some changes to the show, which I think are going to be looked at differently. I've seen some people request that you stand up and I kind of like that.
Starting point is 00:02:19 I would love to. I just don't know how the camera frame. I would love to be behind a podium. We need to get you a podium. I would love to have a podium. Okay, I'll work the board. No, you're part of the show. You're a contestant.
Starting point is 00:02:32 You're too much of a viable contender. That's right. Thank you for saying that. In my perfect scenario as we are in this studio right now, I'd love to be standing up podium, have two screens, at least one that controls sound effects and one that controls the actual game. Because doing the spreadsheet is always, you know, how many times I mess up with the points.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I want Jeff to build me an app where I just have to be like a point to point. And it's just a little, you know, button. He's doing the spreadsheet. Okay. Okay. But yes, we'll, we'll figure out. But I know today is my anniversary, one year anniversary. with my girlfriend. So there's that.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Oh, wow. Headed in out of town this weekend for a wedding. So there's, there's just a lot of stuff happening today. Well, I'm you to be the first. Thank you. You're leaving today? No, leaving Thursday night. You got to pack, don't you? Oh, yeah. How are you going to pack your suit? I'm probably, you know, I'm personally probably just going to fold it up and put it on top the morning before and it'll be completely fine when I get there three hours. later. She gaggle.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Grown ass man. Dylan Schivery. You might be able to catch a Cubs playoff game while you there. I'm not sure of the sketch. They lost last night. I saw that they lost, yeah. I heard the socks won. The socks did.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Why did I watch more socks than you? Stop not watching your socks. I watched some of that game too. Watch some socks. I would have watched it if I wasn't editing the game show. No, that's more important to watch your team. But they're playing in here. They're playing in Hugh.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I will be watching. I will be watching. There was famously about 7,000 seats available. The H at the bottom of the map. There was not a complete sellout. What's up with that? I know that they're like stinky for a wild car team, but they still made it. Well, you made it as an 81 and 81 team.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Right. But still, you get the best here in baseball. That's a, I'm going to, I say this with a little bit of respect. It's a spoiled fan base because they've had such a great run. Well, there's an asterisk there. The Astros. Right. There's an asterisk there.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Okay. Tough word to say. But I will say, like, talking to friends who are diehard Astros fans, they're like, they know, they're like, this is not, this isn't moving the needle. Which that means you're lucky because you have had many seasons in a row that have moved the needle. But also, dude, I mean, look, let's be honest. Tuesday at 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock. I know that's how we do it. It's not nothing new here, but it's just, it's not great.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It's tough. Yeah. Look, I'm hoping for good things. Like, we couldn't get a World Series when we had the most powerful man in the world being a fan. Barack Obama, of course, he was a, he's a socks fan, but so we got to get the Pope to get us one. Pope's more powerful than Obama at this point. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:05:34 With all due respect. I don't know God disagree. AJ Bursinski My favorite. There's no way that's his favorite There's no way. Probably a Frank Thomas guy. No, I did catch a little bit of that Astros
Starting point is 00:05:50 Sox game. It's a old bullpen game. Bullpen games are always a real wild card. You never know. That wasn't that good, dude. I don't know. I'm so,
Starting point is 00:06:07 We have a lot of fun. Don't tell me about what buttons I can press when you were going all over the board. Don't spoil. That's only on Patreon. Most of what we just talked about, the game show is back. It's all Patreon. Go listen to it now or save it to Friday when you're looking to get your sig other than the mood for some Mostin or some neckin. That was a good show.
Starting point is 00:06:30 It's fun to be back. Go get you some naked, some neckin in. Nickin. Necking. Dylan Shivery. I'm workshopping another just sure to be viral tweet over here. Can't wait to let it loose, man. I'm excited to be here.
Starting point is 00:06:53 It's going to be a great show. Sneaky like the runny today. Sneaky like it. I'm not even supposed to be here. I'm not even supposed to be here. That's a joke for a few people. Yeah, I'm not. I didn't think I was going to make it.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I had to, we had, we had NB out there up and ready, up and moving, but it turns out I'm here. He's getting loose in the pen, man. Getting loose. Hey, listener voicemails a drop Friday. Guess what next Tuesday is. It's this beginning of spooky season. It literally cannot get here soon enough. Spooky at washmedia.com.
Starting point is 00:07:30 They're starting to roll in. Ghost stories, paranormal experiences, UFOs, town lore, potential Bigfoot squash sightings. I don't know the girl you're dating turned into a dog I don't know what did that happen and Ghostbusters
Starting point is 00:07:46 Spooky at washedmedia dot com Sigourney Weaver one of my faves I'm in that mode right now I'm always in that mode but I woke up in that mode like do I need to show my son
Starting point is 00:08:01 is he ready for the original Ghostbusters film there's some adult content in it I mean, they're not showing a full pen or nothing, Dylan. But there's some, there's some sexual innuendo. There's some language. But I think he's ready for it. The gatekeeper?
Starting point is 00:08:17 Keymaster. And then the, is it the gatekeeper, right? Yeah. They get, uh, do they get a little down and dirty? They do, but it's, it's heavily implied. They don't show it. They don't show the key going into the gate lock. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Gotcha. But you're, you know, you'll pick up on it. Dude, I started, I started widows. You have a whole segment about it. Yeah, it's not, let's not earn that one for your in show. We're talking spooky shit, though. We're talking spooky shit. Okay, so she's a dog.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Bill Murray, man. Hmm. Chicago guy. Cubs fan. He has a Cubs fan. Yeah. Anyway. Not the Pope, though.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Spooky at washedmedia.com. That is a big dove for the Pope. If they can pull this, if they go on a run and do this, which I don't think they will, it would be a big dub for the Catholic Church. I mean, let's be real. here you're one Catholic to another yes we kind of need a dub yeah we need a dub I mean having an American Pope is a dub for us I guess yeah and a South Side one that's a dub for me yeah I do wish that I would have I hope one of my aunts or uncles got the uh the Pope socks hat that they were
Starting point is 00:09:24 giving out at one of the games like uh I think in August those are cool well they're probably saying I hope my nephew got the H-EB cowboy hat at the banana game and he's did. Hey, watch this. Watch this visual show on Spotify. When you go home, when you, you know, let's say after the game ends, you're like looking for something, even if you've already listened. It's a visual show. Go put it on the TV. It's great background material. Or you can watch it on YouTube. You can watch it live on YouTube. YouTube.com slash circling back or again on Spotify. Okay. No, big announcement. Dylan, I'm just going to spoil your announcement. It's podcast week. Go ahead and talk about it. Yeah, it's podcast week. And basically, that's just a week where we celebrate
Starting point is 00:10:07 podcasts in general. We record them. We talk about them. We do them. Yeah. We celebrate them. We love them. We promote them.
Starting point is 00:10:16 If you had any advice for somebody who's going to listen to a podcast, what advice? I would say just enjoy podcast week. Yeah. And podcasts in general. Are all of them awesome? Just try to enjoy them. They're all of them awesome? They're all awesome.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Some are more awesome than others. Okay. Anything else? No. He's describing the podcast. I can't stop. I'm addicted. He loves it.
Starting point is 00:10:40 I have a, I have a feeling that your, your roommate has, has been hearing that a lot and she's probably not super thrilled with it. It's mainly my, it's mainly, it's mainly, uh, my friend John,
Starting point is 00:10:49 Johnny D. Yeah. Duda. And we just, yeah, we just text each other on the weekends about it. Clearly, it's top of mind for most of us.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Oh, man. Can I, can I, can give you guys a little update here? Sure. Yeah. I love my Ridge wallet.
Starting point is 00:11:07 I love it. I also have the tracker card firmly in my wallet. Yeah, dude. That's a nice. That's a nice one from them. Yeah, it's very nice. Ridge wallet is very cool. It's a change of pace.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Look, I used to be the thick wallet guy. I really did so much. So I realized, like, I've got too much going on in these shorts. I even, you know, I used to be a back of the pant guy or back of the shorts guy. What am I doing? Yeah. This is crazy. It's like I got a loaf of bread in my pocket.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Yeah, Rich Wall is great, man. They have a, holds a lot of credit cards, by the way. It probably says there how many, but it's a lot. We're business owners. We got a lot. We got credit cards. When it's time to whip one of those bad boys out, it's pretty sick. You like, you push the little thing you push and it, they come out, you get to select which one you want, and you click them back into place. This kind of sounds awesome, too. I've been really rocking with the Ridge's five and one travel power bank. Best part, you compare with Ridge's MagSafe compatible phone cases and you've got the perfect everyday setup. Whether you're picking up, whether you're picking up, up the new iPhone 18.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Did you get one? I ordered it like two weeks ago. Okay. Through Verizon, it has not yet arrived. Okay. Or if you're sticking with your iPhone 17, Ridge has cases for both. The power bank has MagSafe wireless charging and Apple Watch charger, Dylan. Lightning and USBC.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Every way you need to charge all-on-one premium device. Look, man, we're on our phones a lot, unfortunately, for this job. So it's good. You got to keep powered up. These things look awesome. They come with the LED charge status indicator that displays battery and charge levels at a glance. It's got an integrated kickstand for effortless hands-free viewing while your phone powers up. If you don't already have a Ridge Ridge wallet, you should slim, modern RFID blocking and built it to last.
Starting point is 00:12:59 It's a last wallet you'll ever buy one thing to pack five ways to power. You can find a Ridge's power bank at Best Buy, or our listeners can get 10% off at Ridge.com by using code Steam at checkout. If you're Randy and you're on the, you know, you don't know what you want. Go to Best Buy. Check it out first, then order. You can do that. Ridge.com, use code Steam, get 10% off. Okay?
Starting point is 00:13:24 You're all set. After you purchased, they're going to say, where did you hear about us? Support the show. Tell them circling back since you again. Get 10% off at Ridge.com by using code. steam you know at some point at some point you kind of feel bad about doing these segments i have a lot of friends who went to this uh yeah great university in texas you got to you as a as a social media manager you got to pick you got to pick your spots a little bit better i think they probably
Starting point is 00:13:57 thought they were good here i i when i saw this i was like okay you really left like you have they don't understand like how they don't understand the burn verse and they don't understand how easy it is to just go pop something into AI you don't have to be a Photoshop expert no no which is kind of nice every every once every one's a Photoshop whether you're making a banner yeah for your university sure or doing so in a mocking fashion yeah A&M ends end zone reveal Randall can you can you pull that up yes yes there was um it's they're calling it a cell phone it's what the kids are calling you self-owned the official tech
Starting point is 00:14:36 A&M football Twitter account with the caption, Stay tuned, eyes emoji is a picture of each end zone at Kyle Field. And the end zone is, it's a blank canvas. And it says new end zone design loading. And you just can't, you can't gift something like this to all of social media and expect it to go well. You gotta put this on Instagram and leave it off the everything app.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Yeah. Like, at a minimum, like. So you're saying if I scroll down, some people may have edited some other stuff? I'm not sure, but how about we try it? We try that and look. Oh, this one just says ass. That just says ass in each other's not real. That's probably not what they're going to choose for the new design.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Oh, Spirit Halloween. Spirit Halloween, that's good. That's a good one. Personal fave. I know, okay, P is stored in one end zone or the other end zone. Oh, in the balls. Pete is stored in the balls. Can you imagine then releasing that one?
Starting point is 00:15:35 I saw that Inzone is lava was a good one. I'm not putting this one on screen for the phone. What is that? What is that? What was that one, Randy? That was a big old, that was a big old dong, but I decided not to show the folks in a big old ding-dong
Starting point is 00:15:49 for YouTube's sake. Not real military school. Okay. Epstein didn't kill himself. All right. Shout out to Brett. All right. Still paying.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Ah, yeah. Jimbo. Jimbo, $7.2 million a year. Okay. I get the picture. Which honestly makes Elko's job pretty safe. By the way, a little A&M tie in here unrelated to this.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Kevin Sumlin coached the Dallas Renegades, UFL team. I saw that. Shout out to the Somme. Shout out to the Renegades. This is tough. Man, like, keep going a little bit, Randy. I've got some great friends who went to this university, and they're just shaking their damn heads.
Starting point is 00:16:30 It's a fine institution, Dave. It really is. It's a great school. man, which is good. Yeah. That's true. What's the bottom side? Says the other 11 are still looking for the ball.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Football. Okay. Yeah. And that, yeah, that just says. All right. Yeah, we get it. Kentucky. They did lose to App State a while back.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Not this year, though. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. What? I'm just thinking about what Budlites' ultimate tailgator would be thinking right now, reading this. Ooh, could we just Photoshop him in the end zone? We certainly could. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Or just a quote. Enjoy the tailgate. And then the other side says, because all of them are awesome. That's so niche. Some Bucky's ads. Okay. Yeah, man, they, look,
Starting point is 00:17:23 police score here. Home of the two and two man. Okay. That's the record currently. The two and two, man. Look, it's funny. It's good stuff. This is harmless fun.
Starting point is 00:17:35 What is it going to be, though, for real? I don't know. Is there like a... I've always said that only unsurious programs change their end zone logos mid-season. I've always said that. You have had that take. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Pull the tape, Randy. It's teams that play on Thursday and Friday, teams with alternate unies, and teams who change their end zone design. Asterisks, but as long as the Friday wasn't preceded by Thanksgiving. Fact. Yeah. Which is a long-standing tradition here in the state.
Starting point is 00:18:07 of Texas. Yeah, we've got a lot of tradition around here. I was going for a walk recently. I caught a glimpse of the new end zone. Uh-huh. It's a big old dawn. Okay. Straight up throbber.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Okay. I don't know if it's a thropper. Oh, what, is that? That's off limits, too? Golly, this guy. How hard it is to work with the guy like this? whoop. It's not that.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Got a story for you, eggs. God, they're a little cocky, little strut, too. They proceed to call the other team white trash like they do for literally every other SEC program. Look, man, every fan base in all of college football has a white trash element. It's part of it, dude. Every yell practice, they just run back the same jokes. Like, talk about mobile homes or, like, dating your sister. They need to get somebody to,
Starting point is 00:19:08 write their material they need a ghostwriter they need to get nick mullin or something oh should i put in chat chp t and say write me a yell leader disc track yeah yeah you should actually you don't have to do it right now but you should do it we'll see that's some real little brother energy i think they've used that one quite a bit actually yes when when when like when uh when twitter's gifted red meat like this it's just just a bunch of ravenous dickhead Did you see this has nothing to do with college football, but there was a, the most entertaining thing over the weekend was, uh, somebody just sent out the tweet, who has that one Alex Jones video? And it was just thousands of just clips from like 1999 to present day Alex Jones just out of context, rants. You get in, son of a bitch.
Starting point is 00:20:01 There's a, there's a lie. And I have to say, I looked at way too many of them. There's some bangers from like Iraq War 2005 Alex Jones where you're just like dude this guy's been operating at such a high level for so long He's just pure energy man To be able to keep that all
Starting point is 00:20:22 That level of energy up is actually like It should be studied He just like fry his voice From all the screaming Had to had to Had to Austin's own Anderson High School zone as well
Starting point is 00:20:38 It was never Mr. Trojan, though. I don't think they did it back then. I watched some Johnny Hamcheck last night. Yeah. And I went back and watched the one. He's having the gas station clerk find him some. Some rubbers. Some rubbers.
Starting point is 00:20:54 He's kind of in the, he's like looking for the long ones, but skinny ones. The long skinny ones. I also watched one where he goes in, he goes into like a restaurant that's being built. And he's there to build a stripper cage. like a bird giant bird bird cage for like a human yeah and like the guy is like I don't think that's for this and the guy's like let me call somebody and he's just casually like yeah balbon are you he's like yeah you guys not working for uh balbonny and he's just like yeah Tommy tough knuckle sent me here it's i hadn't watched one in a while and i just dude it was why you got tap back in man
Starting point is 00:21:31 see what he's up the guy like is stepping away trying to like take do the call like away from him do we know about boney he keeps following him And the guy's like, can you stop following me? He's like, what, man? He's like, I'm only a human. What am I supposed to do? Just stand here. It's so stupid.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Those are, those are. It just confuses the hell out of people. Oh, my God. I need a long and skinny one. The way he walks in, it goes, it's so bad. I need a rubber. She's an older lady and she has to go back to the register to get her reading glasses so she can go through them.
Starting point is 00:22:06 She is way too good at her job. She's way too nice to him. Like most gas station clerks aren't going to like walk out from behind the counter and come like break down the condom selection. No. It's like reading it. It's not a service they typically provide. She's like, I don't have my glasses. I can't see.
Starting point is 00:22:22 I can't see what these are. The one he was looking at was like elite performance or something. Okay. This was a titan. Is that good? Is that a good one? She's like, I don't know. I don't have any experience with this.

Chels, got a Timberhouse. All right, man. Why do we have so many of these things happening in this town?
Starting point is 00:24:01 Timberhouse is a club that is set to open in Austin at some point. There's a big, a big development project, like just west of downtown, West Sixth Street. Yeah, West Sixth Street. What's it by? What is that? What's over there that would know? Is that slow? Swedish Hill, Howard's?
Starting point is 00:24:20 Ah, yeah, yeah, right there. Yeah, which is like big time MML territory. So MML is a restaurant group in Austin, and they have kind of operating on Monopoly. It seems like they open a new restaurant all the time, and they're just raking in cash. Very expensive. Everything they do is very successful. But it's usually very good. Sam, as we mentioned, is an MML property.
Starting point is 00:24:40 There's a lot of around Austin. Did they do the Driscoll grill? They did the new Driscoll grill. They're super popular, very successful, but also, like Dave said, very expensive, kind of overpriced. But they always nail like the ambiance of the place they're doing. They're pretty good. Anyway, they are taking on a pretty massive development project in that area we just mentioned.
Starting point is 00:25:01 And Timber House is the name of a club that is set to be open. and it is like a bathhouse restaurant private everything there's a fitness center and all this stuff and we were able to track down thanks to will the pricing raney i sent this to you via slack i have not seen this can i guess before i see it yes so i will tell you there is initiation fee okay as well as yearly dues co-ed co-ed yes I'm going to say this is a $20,000 initiation fee. Okay. And this will run you $800 a month.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Okay. You are under. Well, it depends on which plane you're going with. There's an under 30. There's an under 35 club, which is the cheapest option. There's just a club, which I guess is everyone over. I don't really know. There's no explanation here.
Starting point is 00:26:04 Then there's a club play. plus bathhouse option. If you are signing up for just yourself, it is $35,000 initiation. If you and your spouse are signing up, it is $60,000 per a couple. And it's $15,000 annually per person. So on top of, if you and Alyssa were to join, $60,000 initiation and then $30,000 a year to be a member of this. And this is just like, so the way Austin is trying. trending these days. And I fucking hate it. Timberhouse Club and Bathhouse members will have access to all club member benefits.
Starting point is 00:26:46 In addition, access to the Bath House Fitness Studio and gym, wellness programming, and hotel, pool, and bar. You have access to a private grill, lounge and bar, use of the private dining room, access to personal wild lockers in Somali. The cinema, exclusive cultural events, and holiday celebrations. You can also do like private fitness. private shopping by by george which is a high-end clothing line here in austin so if you gifted me a membership would i go yes i probably would that being said if you just want to rub elbows with the biggest assholes in austin you go here this is a man what is the what is the apartment complex that on Rainey that houses a lot of the influencer types?
Starting point is 00:27:41 Paseo. Something like that. Maybe the guy that, where that guy that sells life insurance probably lives. This is going to be big for the life insurance. This is where the guy who sells life insurance, but also sets his phone up so you can watch his getting ready routine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:58 And he does a little dance. This is going to be big in that community. I also have private music and DJ sessions, technology design talks workshops film screenings guest chef dinners bobby flea i just fucking hate this stuff no you act like you wouldn't go you would go to this this is like if you guys set foot inside guest house no wait you need you need to tell where we went for loot of the year you need to peek your head in there where did we go for loot of the year no no that was uh driftwood okay you need to that was cool you need to pop in a guest house
Starting point is 00:28:36 Can it, would they let me? It's just like the swankiest, duchiest vibe you can imagine. Timmerhouse. Timmerhouse is that on steroids. Here's from the actual MML hospitality of some of the, I guess, renderings of what Timberhouse will look like. AI renderings. I'm going to say, this is a big no for me, but when I eventually have one or two friends
Starting point is 00:28:58 who do join, I would like them to bring me. Is that too much to ask? I would like to walk through it and see what it's all about. the cinema. Imagine paying all that money and they're not being a golf course to play. Well, that's the thing. This is about a golf course in Austin, like a private course, is going to be about three times that on initiation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:23 No, I mean, you're right. How much does this really differ from like Soho House? Like that would be the comp, which famously was a member for about six months. Yeah. You know what? That's a good, that's a fair comp that's much more. reasonable. Like this,
Starting point is 00:29:42 this seems like a Soho house competitor. Without, without a fail, someone does point out in the chat, liked by Micah. Of course. He's the ultimate like, you're like everything.
Starting point is 00:29:55 He's the, dude, anything MML, Mike is like you. His finger is on the pulse of every new development in Austin, every new restaurant or whatever. I could see,
Starting point is 00:30:04 I could see old Brett getting a membership. We, we don't think we're paying Brett enough to, not to docks as financials but this is quite costly might be worth the investment i mean you think there's other like minded people like there's going to be someone there's absolutely a founding member probably two founding members who have like they're like very active podcast they're very active in this game in this world that we operate yeah you're probably right uh it'll be a big no for me man i got to start saving up for
Starting point is 00:30:42 travel bowl, which is about the same amount. You think Rhodes will want to do that? I don't know. I hope. Well, I hope he has the option. But also I hope when that time comes in three or four years, it's people have like smartened up and realize like maybe we don't need to invest 25 grand a year into our kid, our eight year old's travel ball. You want your kid to be good at baseball, but not so good that like it makes sense for him to do travel ball. the backlash from MLB
Starting point is 00:31:12 like actual like retired and active MLB players on like the modern baseball select travel ball stuff is it's pretty significant I would say I haven't seen much of that yeah I get served a lot like I'll get certainly like here's a video Dustin Padroia talking about just kind of like a reality check like hey if your kid is if you're if you're 10 year old he's like rarely is the kid
Starting point is 00:31:39 who's best on the 10-year-old baseball team, little league team, the kid who gets a D1 scholarship or goes and gets drafted. Like, it just doesn't, he's like, it just doesn't work like that. There's standouts. It's like the kid who hits the gross per first is the best. Yeah. Typically. And that doesn't mean, we talk about this a number of times, it doesn't mean that that person's
Starting point is 00:31:58 going to continue to develop their game. And like, by the time their senior year rolls out, it's like, this guy's still the best. I don't know. Maybe that's just cope. But that's, I do get served as somebody who's very, very in, uh, on little league, little league Instagram right now and like hitting drills, coaching and stuff. I could, I get, I get served that as well. Trying to like kind of be like, hey, I want you calm down there, buddy.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Yeah. Uh, when is this going to be available? Next year. I don't think for a while. It says arriving in 2027. Okay. They got a lot of work to do then. It does look nice.
Starting point is 00:32:37 pretty modern for my my taste ceilings aren't vaulted but yes looks nice I went back and listened to us argue about vaulted ceilings on the best of episode that Jeff created what were the takes we were talking about Will's little upstairs room and I asked if the ceilings were vaulted and you were like those aren't vaulted
Starting point is 00:33:04 and then like five minutes later you're like well they are kind of and then we never really it was an it wasn't important We were just like we spent, we got really sidetracked by vaulted ceilings. And then we went right into the world of the influencer who was selling her bathwater. And then we argued it would you rather be known as someone who sells your bathwater or somebody who sells your jarred farts? Right. Or someone who buys an influencer's bathwater. That was also an argument.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Which one would you rather be known for buying? And I think we landed on you'd rather be bathwater purchaser than jarred fart. Okay. Neither are good. Man, imagine not setting that to your, like, closest 20,000 friends and getting them involved in circling back. I got to say, that thing came out. That best of episode three came out hot.
Starting point is 00:33:55 I had a lot of fun listening to it last week. So go check it out. It has a lot of fun. Has a lot of rowdiness. I still need to listen. It's good. It's good background material. Very good.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Yeah, I think I'm, I don't, this isn't it. in the future for me. No. No, it's not. I might try. I wish you would. There's never been a non-randy friendly place more than this. It's just like if I had a friend who joined this, I would, I would just look at that friend
Starting point is 00:34:25 me a little bit differently, I think. I can see. We got a couple friends. I got some friends who are on the, no, I look. On the watch list? I can't talk. I can't talk. It's somebody who joined Soho House.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Okay. but that was much that was a much was not expensive more reasonable it was much more reasonable we all we all joined we were really feeling ourselves we're like because it was like a create the creators you know because you had to apply right you couldn't it wasn't just about money you had to apply and then they you send them like you're all your social handles and your profession and then they they get back to you so lifetime is doing a full disclosure lifetime as a gym you probably heard of it they're doing some kind of social push they're doing some social club type deal because i got an email about it it's like would you be interested it sounds great if you're like single live if you're if you're a social person at the
Starting point is 00:35:18 gym you know the guy who's there and he he's there for two hours because like half the time he's just holding court great for them if you're in and out married guy family like you're probably not going to go up there for uh the dj set no not really my thing i'd rather join lifetime than than this outfit here. It's a lot of money, T. I don't know, man. Imagine pulling up to this with your DeKovas boots on. Can you imagine? Yeah. Your car rights? Like, damn, this guy shops at Tukovas.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Because anywhere worth going, it's better and comfortable boots. Find your perfect pair with Tukovas. Tukovas crafts quality Western boots for everyone from generational ranchers and lifelong cowboys to first-time boot buyers. I have three pairs total. Two boots. and the um in the slides i just have the one man the loafer that i have i love i have a smooth ostrich and i love them they're fantastic you have the all black cart rights heck you got married in them got married i've worn them to the ranch i wear them uh pretty much wore them last night actually
Starting point is 00:36:26 where'd you go the county line barbecue yeah chelsea's uh co-worker and friend had a little going away party okay yep for every occasion uh to cova's boots they're handcrafted with over two 200 meticulous steps for broken and comfort right out of the box. That's something you'll notice right away, whether you order them or whether you go to their store for the in-store experience. You put them on and they feel like you've you've had them for years. That's the thing that sets them apart. They're awesome. There's no stiff break-in period like we said. Randy, you've been to both stores or have you just been to the one on the car? I've been to both. If you're in Austin, they've got one up north in the domain. They've got one in South Congress here. I like going into the store and just kind of hanging out
Starting point is 00:37:08 because everybody's really knowledgeable. They'll offer you a beverage. And if you buy boots there, they'll even put a little brand on them for free. That's right. Takes about five minutes. Takes about five minutes. With over 50 Tukovus stores coast to coast,
Starting point is 00:37:21 there's bound to be one near you. Tukovas isn't just a store, though. It's a destination for anyone who values quality and comfort. Go in there, just kind of take in the smell to the leather goods. Oh, yeah. I love it. right now.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Get 10% off at ticovus.com slash CRCLBK when you sign up for email and text. That's 10% off at TECOVAS.com slash CRCLBK. Ticovus.com slash CRCLBK. See site for details. Ticovas. Point your toes west. I found out about something Friday. One of the lads who I played in the charity golf tournament with, who might also
Starting point is 00:38:07 be on the timber view or timber house watch list okay one of the lads okay he clued me in on a cocktail and we came to the conclusion that this cocktail might be the cocktail of fall might be the cocktail of winter whoa and uh one day this is kind of a fall in and out thing but i really wanted to talk about this i haven't tried it but i'm already declaring it my cocktail of fall my drink of stop teasing it just tell us what it is. Do you want to know what it is? Yes. Does he want to know what it is? Yeah, I don't know what it is. God, dude, the name, everything about it is so smug and sounds so good. Okay. Randy, pull up the green point. Are you familiar with the green point? I don't know the green point.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Oh, God. This, this makes, oh, this, this, this, this, once it cools down a little bit, Hell, even now. The Greenpoint Cocktail is a modern classic created in 2005, 2006 by bartender Michael McElroy. It's a legendary New York City bar milk and honey. Have you been? I have not. He hasn't been. Wow.
Starting point is 00:39:20 You want to know the lineage, of course. The drink is a riff on the classic Brooklyn cocktail itself, a variation of the Manhattan. The Brooklyn combines rye whiskey, drive, remove. Marichino liquor and Amher Pecon. That's the Brooklyn. And now we've got this new twist on it, the green point. You've got two ounces of rye whiskey. You have half an ounce of yellow chartreuse.
Starting point is 00:39:46 You've half an ounce of sweet vermouth. One dash of Angostura bitters, of course, and one dash of orange bitters in the flavor profile. Sweater and more delicate than a traditional Manhattan featuring spicy rye balanced by the honey, citrus and herbal notes of yellow chartreuse. It's a lot of ingredients. Are you aroused yet?
Starting point is 00:40:08 I'm not aroused. I'm intrigued enough to want to try this, yeah. I guess I'll fuck off. Hey, Dave, can you just fuck off? Hang on, let me just have a... I'm kind of not a big whiskey guy, Dave. I think you know that about me by now. Like it?
Starting point is 00:40:23 I don't love it. I usually gravitate toward the tequila or my skull. dead. I can't drink tequila anymore. I tell you that. Because you close. Yeah, they fall clean off. I know. Whoa. I got in trouble. Not long ago. I was out. It's actually a business meeting. Yeah. And I, guy was on the other side of the table was like, you'll do ranch water. I'm like, sure, I'll do a ranch water. I love ranch water. Had one just being nice, amicable. And next thing you know, I go to the bathroom and I'm walking back. I look down. I'm straight up D out. I'm completely nude. That's a problem. They kicked me out, arrested me.
Starting point is 00:41:00 It was a whole thing. Be honest, was this a business meeting or was this your interview for Timberhouse? Yeah, I knew it was. I didn't get in. Yeah. They didn't let me in. They're like, dude, you can't just come in here with their clothes falling off. You can't drink tequila around children with a cop standing by because you'll be arrested for.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Yeah. Yeah. You'll catch a charge. They have an officer on standby. He's on standby. Ready to arrest. Yeah, it was a whole thing, man. And then it was really tough
Starting point is 00:41:33 because some idiot made the mistake of asking me on a straight tequila night. Oh, no. And I'd spare you the details, but I started thinking about him. I was ready to fight. Yeah. I got a pretty bad fight.
Starting point is 00:41:49 I lost. And you were naked because all your clothes had fun of all. And I was nude. You ever lost a nude fight? That's the worst way to lose a fight. Yeah, it's tough. Yeah. Broken nose.
Starting point is 00:41:59 black eye. Naked. The guy did the old detwist. You're flopping around. It was a detwist. Yeah. I tapped. I tapped out.
Starting point is 00:42:09 You have to. Yeah, it's tough. That is tough, man. But like I said, I think the green point might be the drink of fall. Okay. So that's, that's your fall in. We're doing in and out, right? We're doing a little big fall segment, I guess, here.
Starting point is 00:42:22 A little nod to retail therapy. But we're doing it our way. I just wanted to, I really wanted to establish. this is my drink of fall, even though I've never had it. Okay. Because when I looked it up, are you going to make it yourself? You should. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:42:37 How many of the ingredients I listed? How many do you think right now you go into my home? How many does the original D-Man have? I think you might have right whiskey on deck. And that's it. I think you might have bitters. You might have bitters. I got one of the bitters, not the orange bitters.
Starting point is 00:42:52 I think you have the other, the Angostura. Is that your traditional bitter? I think so. I have zero of these in my home. Actually, we have vermouth. Because, you know, I'm, you know, I'm mixing up those ngronies. And you do have all those extra lemons from that party you hosted over the weekend. Oh, dude, I'm sorry, I couldn't make it.
Starting point is 00:43:09 To your lemon party. Some people cook a nice steak when the CW goes out of town. Others just, let's say, throw it down. Come over. Get the boys over. Let's do a lemon party. Let's do some lemon waters. No one does that.
Starting point is 00:43:23 You literally did it. That's what Randy's referring to. I was actually referring to Dave. He just, he was able to try to. He just deflected it immediately. He'll do that on you. You're going to have to do some texting after this question. I got an out for fall.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Okay. Podcast legs. Because Randy's going to stand up. Yeah. No, because we're going to be wearing pants. Podcast legs are out. You can still have podcast legs and pants. You can, but I don't recommend it.
Starting point is 00:43:47 I can tell when you guys wear joggers, I can see your little podcast legs. Podcast legs wouldn't be a thing if you would just keep them off the... They can see my legs right now. Yeah, but the way you show. them off in such a cocky fashion. There's nothing, I'm not showing them off. You're, when you put your feet up, you're saying, hey, world, check out these stems. I don't have show offable legs.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Well, I don't know why you do it. It's comfortable. You're definitely, you're putting them in every shot. You have your, you have your fun shorts on. I do have my fun shorts on today. Your legs are right next to your fun shorts. We know. You're trying attention to them.
Starting point is 00:44:24 We just, we just want you to keep, you know what, I can't remember the last time you put your feet up, but we just want them down at all times. He got Jabber and Jack there running defense, making sure he can't put his feet up. You know who's been quiet? Jabber and Jack? Since fall arrived? Caitlin Covington. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:42 We haven't talked about her yet. But she's still doing her thing? Remember she made that big announcement? Was it last fall? She said, I'm not doing Christian girl autumn this year. We fell right for her trap. She got us good. All right, let's see.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Is she in her out? Because it doesn't officially, she's always in. 1.3 million on the ground. Fall doesn't officially begin until she says it begins. And she brings out the felt hat in the chunky sweaters. And she does a photo shoot in like Vermont, surrounded by leaves. It's too soon for her. I mean, like I'm not trying to make this about Randy.
Starting point is 00:45:17 No offense to Randy, but. It's like she's getting the bag from like all over the place. Does she have a, yeah. That's some good influence in there. 10 fall off, it's that I will be wearing on repeat, okay? As a mom of three. all right she still got it man got what exactly it what's the it the it factor it looks like right here is when we transitioned in the fall somewhere around here she did a sonic ad is that is this
Starting point is 00:45:44 where's her where's her photo shoot in leaves i mean we got some leaves here oh this looks like did you guys used to do leaf piles and go jumping them as a kid of course god that was so fun of course she was doing stuff back in all August 28th. She booked a fall trip back in August 28th day. What do you think about that? Oh, August. Come at fall and I'll send you my top five favorite travel destinations in fall. Straight up, I'm going to put this on my list. I'm in on Kaelin. I will never be out on it. I'm not going to hit her with the follow, but I am going to acknowledge
Starting point is 00:46:14 that like it doesn't start until she says so. She's been doing fall stuff since it appears August. So, I, if that's true what you just said that that's more egregious. Oh, look at this real. Halloween celebrish. Yeah, you gotta get the band back together. Are fall hats back? Imagine showing up to that crew and you don't have a hat on.
Starting point is 00:46:38 What was the era in Austin? Did they just beat the shit out of you? The brunch fall hat. Because my wife definitely has a fall hat and she wears it every time she goes to like round top. Well, if you were a lady in anywhere, but especially in Austin, and was it 20?
Starting point is 00:46:54 20? I was trying to think if it was preco or postco. Yeah. Around this, we'll call it, well, yeah, we'll say 2018. We'll go preco, safely preco, 2018, 2019. If you didn't have one of those hats, and no one really took you seriously. No.
Starting point is 00:47:09 You went out to Fredericksburg. You're like, you're not ready for fall, clearly. Oh my God, don't even think about going to Fredericksburg. Not worth it if you don't have that hat. So if you're wondering, Dave, you can't probably see here, but Hottom, which is, I guess, a play on autumn, Hottom, their drink menu at Sonic for Hottom, dropped off August 24th.
Starting point is 00:47:29 One of the better interviews we ever did. Look, she got the Sonic bag. She got the Sonic bag. He's the world's first Arab pit master. Of course she did. Hatton. See her there. Good for her.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Anyways, so yeah. I guess we're in on Sonic. I'm gonna keep it buck with you. Sonic has never been in the rotation on fast food places in my life. The food stinks. I think you know what? The cherry lime made.
Starting point is 00:47:56 okay i like the straw post hockey we would go there but the food did i look did i did i maybe um have a have a lady friend back in high school who worked at sonic yeah got a lot of free song i got a lot of free tater tots yeah they still
Starting point is 00:48:16 skated at that one you know why because they skated and they got a ton of tips yeah dangerous though she did have a fall Yeah. I got the call that day. Not hurt or anything, but she was just like mortified and embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Come pick me up from Sonic. Scrape my knee. I pulled up in a 1990 Jeep Cherokee with the ceiling, you know, the felt or the cloth on the top, sagging down. And I was like always trying to get the stick back up. It looks so terrible. I think the 2.15, 212s in the back. You know, you know me. I'm a fruity drink guy.
Starting point is 00:48:55 I love a cocktail. I think this fall, I might be in on just drinking straight liquor. Yeah. Are you trying to cut back on the shug? Maybe, but I found this rum. I've been looking for a good sipping rum
Starting point is 00:49:07 for a long time because you don't really think you sip on rum, but I'm like, there has to be something. And I was in the... A sipping rum. Yeah, I was in total wine the other day. I just went to the rum aisle. I was just looking.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Guy comes up as like, hey, you're looking for anything? I'm like, I'm just looking while the, you know, girlfriend's picking out a bottle of wine. He's like, looking for something to sip on i'm like actually yeah and then he walked me through everything said like this is the best one he's actually i got a bottle open let me give give you a pour and it it was amazing i was like yeah i'm buying this right away never heard of a anyone just sipping rum
Starting point is 00:49:39 yeah good on you i can't tell you what the brand was because i don't remember right now i haven't got to crack it open yet but it was really smooth i was like fuck yeah that would be big for for your uh your growth as a person i know i became just straight liquor guy i know we joke about your your sugary cockt tail situation. But I do worry about your sugar intake. Oh, yeah. Why you have in your wife make me sweet treats?
Starting point is 00:50:02 You're trying to give me. The other day, you brought, you just, like, casually brought in a milkshake from launch. Yeah. And I was like, man, just, that's a lot of sugar. To be young. Dream sickles milkshake. I barely, I barely drink pop soda, as you Southerners call it, Coke.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Some of you even call it. I barely do. The whole Dr. Pepper thing, I was like, yeah, might as well. What do the Southerners call it? Soda or some of them call it Coke. It's true. They call everything Coke, which doesn't make sense at all. If you ask me, it's all Coke.
Starting point is 00:50:34 That's the Southern or at least the Texas thing. When I was a kid, I called everything Coke. That's true. I did. And then when I got older, I realized that's probably doesn't make much sense. I switched to soda. But Pop was never in my vernacular. Well, my mom was always team Pepsi.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Really? Yeah, which I looking back, I'm like, man, that's crazy. Outside of like a wild cherry Pepsi, I wasn't really rocking with Pepsi. We did have wild cherry Pepsi at Subway. And we would always drink it. It was always out because we drink it because we weren't good employees
Starting point is 00:51:07 and famously were left off the schedule. We used to get free soda after every little league game and we would all, all of us just go ask for suicides, minus the diets every single time. Why minus the diets? Because they, you know, as a kid, like diet doesn't taste as good because there's no sugar it feels like an old man drink yeah we we would do like uh of course like coke sprite uh there's a big red in there
Starting point is 00:51:31 there's some an orange soda i forgot what the brand was sun kissed or fanta yeah fanta one of those we would just get all those all the gas you got to avoid surge because you don't want to shrink your testicles dr pepper would be in there too but like a bunch of like nine year olds going up to an adult asking for a suicide is a bit problematic you know uh we would just walk out and say We want to go suey on them. Oh, did you? We walk in, we walk in and they'd look. We'd go, suey!
Starting point is 00:51:59 Really? Really? Next thing you know, you got a 32-ounce cup, styro, double-cuffed up. Parks is literally, they don't do free sodas after games anymore, man. It's too bad. Yeah. It's woke. It's woke.
Starting point is 00:52:11 I want to keep the sugar out of the kids. I mean, back in the, you know, the 90s, like, no one really was that concerned with sugar. No, I remember, speaking of my mom, not to. out her but I was drinking a Pepsi we would we would sit down at like seven o'clock at night watch like ER or whatever NYPD blue or something and she would crack a Pepsi yeah at night like it was nothing all those all those those 90s AI slop like throwback oh clips have pizza hut and then Doritos bag a two liter of Sprite or two leader of big red or whatever original Doritos corn chips that if we bought we had a lot of chips and salsa
Starting point is 00:52:53 But we weren't buying like, they didn't, you really weren't buying like custom, like, legit brands of like tortilla chips. You were buying Doritos, corn chips and dipping it in like your paste pecanty or old El Paso. In 1993, if your Friday night was Pizza Hut, Blockbuster, and a two-liter sprite, you were just, it didn't get better than that. Honestly, that's some of our nights still. Maybe. Maybe you close it down with a little Nintendo. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Or maybe if you're dealing a little late night wild on See what Brooks up to see where she's going now After mom went to bed, yeah Where's Brooke going today? Oh, Brooks in Ibita. Yeah, looking fire. Yeah. As she always did.
Starting point is 00:53:39 I'm feeling things. Yeah. All right. So wait, what are we in on rum? How do we get there? Run, I guess. I said straight liquor. I am in on Randy just doing straight liquor instead of mixing in
Starting point is 00:53:51 I'm happy for you. I do drink straight whiskey every so often. I've been doing straight tequila until the incident. And now I got a switch. I'm trying to get back into whiskey. I'm trying to microdose back in. I think the green point's going to be a good jump off point. But like,
Starting point is 00:54:06 I just got to the point where like whiskey, man, it was either like, I would have like one whiskey and it would give me a headache. And I would just, like, even if I was like out, I would just have the strangest urge to drink that whiskey. I hear you, man. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:20 It's the weirdest thing. I got materials to make my own old fashions at home. And I just like the, I know it doesn't take too long, but it's still like the process. Like, I'll just, I'll just drink it straight. I don't need to put simple syrup and, you know, a cherry in here, some bitters. I'll just drink it straight. That's cowboy shit. I did enjoy.
Starting point is 00:54:44 I had a rum old fashion over in Lisbon. And I do think I prefer rum old fashions to whiskey. pretty interesting. Yeah. That's the most elitist thing you've ever said. Like that, just all that whole sentence. Yeah, you didn't know I had it like that, huh? You were over where?
Starting point is 00:55:00 In Lisbon. Okay. Portugal. And you had a what? I had a rum old fashion. It was a take on what you, you know, you normally would get whiskey, but not over there. We did a rum old fashion. And let me tell you the, how it was on the palate, it's a compliment it better, you know?
Starting point is 00:55:20 You understand what he's saying? I do. I feel like what is he saying? I'm looking at a baby gronk announcement. I know, but like describe what Randy just said. See, a simple Tim like him. Stop. Baby gron.
Starting point is 00:55:31 He doesn't understand. He wants to replace bourbon with rum in an old fashion. And then what? And then, I don't know. Okay. Time out. So you checked out on Randy's little story just to watch a baby gronk post. He made an announcement that he's no longer going to the,
Starting point is 00:55:50 University of Tennessee football. And then, and then he put his little podcast legs up to deflect from the baby gronk distraction. He apologized to everyone because he's no longer attending the Tennessee football game. He doesn't have to apologize. That's a major announcement. I'm sorry if it distracts. He didn't have to. Well, he did. He even apologized to Josh Heipal. Dang. That's major news. It's breaking. Why not? Is he sick? He got, he got denied. Thank you for requesting tickets. He posted this. He got this email from Tennessee football, I guess. Thank you for requesting tickets to the watch
Starting point is 00:56:24 the Tennessee vaults. Unfortunately, due to high volume of requests, we will not be able to grant your ticket request at this time. And I think he's really been out of shape over it. Who do they got this week? I don't know. Auburn. I know they have a loss on the record. Auburn, that could be a get right game.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Yeah, Auburn's not great. They go Auburn, Tennessee. I'm fucking, am I fucking out? No. again i hate how google presents a schedule my my silly little brain is not whatever whatever that's that's too bad about baby grong yeah now we just kind of ruined the second it's too bad we were doing so well
Starting point is 00:57:02 we're just staying on point talking about lisbon it wasn't that good of a bit if baby crock derailed it did i accidentally save y'all from a bad bit a nose diving bit no i was good i was listening to red he talked about about rum. You saved us from elitist randy. Did I just pull back on the joystick? No, more you just crashed it into the side of like the ravine.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Dude, nothing's more, uh, nothing's more elitist than a, a, a modern classic cocktail, uh, from a Brooklyn cocktail bar named after a little neighborhood. That's just so like, that's wearing James's big ass jeans and a trench coat, you know, smoking a stick you're like yeah oh we're gonna we're going up to we're going up to the hampons and we're gonna drink a bunch of green points yeah i was in sahan i'm combining this is this person from california who's in been in brooklyn for two years they've been in brooklyn for two years or they've been in new york the new york area
Starting point is 00:58:07 bounced around but now they're in the upper upper wasine i hate your california boys we did some things when we were in the hopton we got some Popeye's chicken, which was like all for like the pores, but then we like dipped it in caviar. So it was like fun juxtaposition. Okay. It was a fun supposition.
Starting point is 00:58:29 Yeah. Funct deposition. A fun stop position. Okay. I was drinking cream point cocktails. I had my baggy james on and they were from James. Okay. See, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:58:42 My thing was kind of actually real. Retail therapy, they will always tell some random story from the Hampton. I think there was like a Popeye's caviar thing happening in the hand. That should never happen. Oh my God. That person should be in the Hague right now. That person just applied to timber house.
Starting point is 00:58:59 Timber House. I just went when I went to the U.S. open, we got the chicken nugget caviar, and we just wanted to recreate it. Chicken nugget caviar? Yeah. They had that the U.S. open. I was more of a caviar and cocaine guy. Would try.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Were you? Rest in peace. Tell us about this show you're watching, Dylan. I'm watching Woodows Bay right now. This is a, this is, I'm in on this for the fall, but I'm waiting until the official season starts. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Oh, wow. Okay, spooky season. I want to take off. Really, when did this come out? It came out, I think, earlier this year. I think maybe spring. I can't remember. It won all the Emmys.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Well, I'm kind of, I'm kind of happy I decided to try it out for the first time, right as spooky season is approaching because, man, this is hitting me right. This is like in my wheelhouse perfectly. It is a very, very good show. I got two episodes left. Small coastal New England town, Widows Bay, it's an island, and it's super vibey.
Starting point is 00:59:58 It's creepy, it's scary, and I fucking love, I'm three episodes in it. I am so in right now. I love this show. But it's also funny. It's a comedy, too. I haven't seen much comedy yet.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Maybe it's common. There's a comedy. It's just like how many react with each other. I don't think so. It's not like laugh out loud, like, that guy got hit in the play. balls it's more like uh you know it's not slapstick it's not slapstick humor it's more of like how
Starting point is 01:00:24 they interact with each other are you watching this no i again i'm gonna wait till spooky see okay do you like scary shit no i hate it famously i mean i mean i know we're doing the show but like do you like scary movies like legit ask me the right way do you like spooky movies yeah i like them a lot actually i like them too much as i randomly was shown uh nightmare on elm street when i was like six And it freaked me out. And any time I peed at night, I would run back to my room thinking something was going to follow me out of the bathroom. This show is great.
Starting point is 01:00:57 It's fucking great. Is there any sex? I don't want to overhype it. I haven't seen any sex yet. But, dude, it's, it gets the job done. If you want a little spooky element to your spooky season, aside from, of course, the fantastic show that we're going to be. I want a little spooky element to my spooky season.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Dude, this will, this will wet that appetite, playboy. Oh, yeah. It's fucking great. I love it. Highly recommend. It reminds me a kid cod. You're weirdly like the third person just in this office to recommend it. Like so I feel like I need to watch it.
Starting point is 01:01:32 And I'm going, I wouldn't have known about it if not for the chatter around this office. That's what I mean neither. I don't see it getting much play on the socials. I'm not a go to Netflix and see what's trending type guy. Is it on Netflix? Apple TV. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Well, that explains it. I'm watching it via Prime. I do think Apple TV. confusing statements definitely gets the least amount of play even though they have great shows like not many people have apple tv i feel like the average person doesn't have apple tv milton from office space is uh is in the show great actor he's he's good in this real good um i finished the gentleman season two last night yeah is anybody in on the gentleman no no i'm not it is it was a great show Does it try?
Starting point is 01:02:23 Okay. Are there some elements? Is there a very, very, is there a movie that's widely regarded as a top three movie of all time that they pay homage to a little bit too much in season two? Yes. Which movie is that? The Godfather. Okay. But it's just incredibly, it's a great season.
Starting point is 01:02:44 And I know a lot of people have been critical of this season. They're like, oh, God, he went full Guy Richie. I don't know. I guess I'm not. just not a guy i i didn't i didn't i didn't nothing really there's nothing in it that made me think it like did anything crazy that it wasn't supposed to do so uh the the gentleman is very good i've i've recommended this to people um what's it about a uh a duke in england okay me the hot guy from white lotus the one who had his dong out remember a guy who's you could see his penis in the
Starting point is 01:03:17 background yes remember him is pen 15 they do what's his name theo james theo james he is uh his father passes and he becomes like the the patriarch of this estate very like 700 year old family very english not royalty per se but i guess they're technically aristocrats they are and um he finds out that there is a drug a marijuana farming operation going on on their property and he gets in with his crime family And long season one is about like him getting into it a little bit and like navigating that world of characters in the drug game. All done by Guy Ritchie.
Starting point is 01:04:05 And then season two is him kind of, he gets a little, he kind of becomes a little bit more into it. He's like, he kind of goes from being just like a passenger in this to him being like, no, I'm going to be the guy now. So. And then you also have an Italian component and you have a lot of like very dope. Palazzo scenes over in Italy on a lake over there
Starting point is 01:04:27 and it's very, very beautiful. It's just well done. Maya Jama's got the appearance in it this year too. Very good show. So check it out. That didn't sell you. I'm sure I just sold everybody
Starting point is 01:04:37 in this room. I can totally tell. Check it out. So those are two shows, Widows Bay and the Gentleman. Now you can perfectly slide into Widows Bay that you finish that one. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:04:45 I really can actually. It's going to be great. I got no baseball to follow. I got no baseball unless I got to follow my Chicago White Sox. That's true. That is very true.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Somebody's got to follow him. I will. You're a bad Catholic if you don't follow your socks. Okay. This guy. See that, that's what we call Catholic guilt to Dylan. That's right. Part of it.
Starting point is 01:05:08 Part of it. Deal with it. If you can't handle it, get out of here. What murder. Anything else for this silly show? I don't think so, man. All right. Well, we'll see you tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Again, go check out Patreon. We did not spoil. know it. But it was really good. You're going to like what you tell you. The only thing I can tell you. It's a visual show too. Definitely watch it. Yeah. All right. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. My wreck league goalie says he plays for the love of the game. You gave up six goals last week, Steve. Maybe play to win, huh? Like with Bet365, I get paid the second my team goes up big with early payout and can cash out at any time before the game ends. Steve, Bet365. The Home of Winning Early.
