Maddo Ranchos and Mattle Ranchos
Hey, welcome back.
Circling Back podcast, what's happening?
My name is Dave.
Welcome to the show.
Producing today is Randall Trimbecki.
Hi, Dave.
Never just wonder what the meaning of it all is.
What, like, the theme of it all is?
The theme, what the meaning of life is.
Dylan was playing some poetry on the Bluetooth speaker today, some spoken poetry and maybe really think about life.
Otherwise known as Pink Pony Club.
That's what we were playing just before we recorded or hit record.
It was a tie-in to a World Cup segment with her.
A little fun fact.
She's taken some time off.
That's her.
She's taking some time off ever since the incident.
Which one?
Incident.
I do it in quotes.
the one with the kid with the kid at the like hotel lobby yeah whatever i could be wrong but i'm
pretty sure i saw that that kid's dad was on the argentinian team right and what about am i right chat
what about that kid's grandfather or great-grandfather where were they what do you mean um
what i don't understand uh argentina all right some some
some older, the greatest generations
of people that live in Argentina
might be a certain persuasion.
Oh, I don't know if they're part
of the greatest generation.
If it's what I think you're saying.
What did Chapel Roan do?
Jesus.
What did she do?
I really, I missed that.
You don't remember this?
We definitely kicked it around.
We tossed it around, if you will.
She blew off some kid
and had her security,
allegedly go.
Oh, okay.
And the kid's dad was,
a soccer player.
Actually, a flutballer, as I might say now.
That was some months ago.
The inquisitive mind of Dylan Shivry,
always asking the important questions.
I feel like I miss a lot,
and I don't like to miss stuff.
I like to be in the know.
So I have follow-up questions sometimes,
and that's okay.
It's good.
It's a good way to go through life asking questions.
It's important.
You hate it when I miss stuff in the news,
in the zeitgeist.
No.
You're like,
you're like how have you how did you miss that that's how you that's how you look at me only if it's
something we've talked about while you're sitting out yeah no that's not true then it's like sometimes
it's just like something that happened the night before and it like i wasn't on twitter and you're like
like what like this you don't know about this oh yeah it's kind of stuff we do for a little
idiot but you don't say idiot but hey i see a vortex bottle yeah shout out to mackale and his
boys i forgot his buddy's names and i apologize for that mackale the guy who came by here that
one time.
They came by here on Friday.
You were not here.
So we had a different Mikhail a while back who came by and we all decided he looked
like a scratch golfer.
Mackale.
Yeah, different guy.
Two of his buddies, one of which brought the, uh, the vortex bottle.
They were here for a bachelor party.
All listeners?
Uh, yes.
One of them was like getting into it because of his buddies, I think.
Everybody loves it.
Um, the guy whose bachelor party it was, he's the one who brought the, uh, milite bottle.
And again, I forgot your name and I apologize.
Did he figure, did you find out how?
how he obtained such a bottle.
He told me a story.
He found them somewhere at someone's house
and they're like, yeah, you can have them.
There are four of them.
He drank three.
And obviously they're very old.
He said they tasted fine,
but he was kind enough to bring the fourth one
with them here.
McKale was here right when retail therapy started recording.
So the boys were in here,
the boys being Barrett and Will and young Randall over here.
So he came back like an hour later
to meet the guys.
Mano, we're the only podcast in the world that has a Miller Light vortex bottle on display?
On display, yeah.
I don't know, maybe.
How does it look on camera?
It was kind of out of frame, so now I have it on frame, in frame, but it's Dylan's in the bottom right.
I just want to showcase.
That's bullshit.
Good adjustment.
That's bullshit.
I want to make sure that people see it.
Nah.
Whatever, dude.
Oh, now he's moving.
I'll move it back, Dylan.
Don't worry.
Did you get a haircut?
Yeah, it's too short
It looks a little tight
I think she went short
And she usually does
I didn't want to say anything to her
But
I kind of like it
When a hairdresser will take liberties
You gotta give
You gotta trust them
And if they
Switch it up on you
Maybe don't give you the heads up
Then it's like
Hey I trust you
You've been going to her
For like a decade almost
She went tight dog
I don't know why
Usually get a two
Pull that hat off
Nah
Why?
I'll pull mine off
It's all matted down
With the hat
Let's see
Mine looks like shit
always. Saturday will be my my week my week into it was when my window my window starts.
I'd you'll take the hat off right now one and ten go this is stupid all right we want to see it
yeah one two three six six seven you could see all that on YouTube live if you're watching
circling back there and also you can see it after the fact on Spotify we have the video there
I'm going to retroactively retroactively call last week back or week we had we had what three pop-ins
Was the Friday back in somebody I should have given everybody heads up about?
Because when I saw that, I was like, I don't remember this, but he said, he just, they popped in and his buddy, the new listeners like, are you sure they're okay with that?
And they're like, yeah, they kind of encourage like just pop ends.
Friday is a good day to do it.
He was disappointed that you weren't here.
We had Earlvin earlier.
Shout out to them.
I believe Army.
I'm sorry if I'm getting that wrong.
It could be Marine.
Army Hammer was in here?
No, Army Psychops?
It's not Psychops.
What is?
Sciops.
No.
I don't know how much of that.
Yeah, but either way.
He came by.
That guy was just, okay, he had like the coldest line ever.
I want to share it.
He was talking about how he's...
Hold on, hold on.
Give the announcement.
Dillage, cold line of the week.
He had a cold line and I called it out after he left, and I thought it was pretty cool.
I told him to be, I go, all right, man, well, I was like, be safe.
Yeah.
We don't want to give too.
too much way but he might be going somewhere deploying soon right he's military um and yeah we're like
all right man he's he's very nice guy by the way we're like all right dude will be safe they said
be safe and he said we're trained well that was his response i was like that's so good there's another
part too i won't share that yeah there's another part of it that i thought was humor just like be safe
we're well trained we're well trained he's like yeah we're well trained so yeah shots to all the backers
a stop by.
There's a lot of people.
Backer City in here, dog.
So we had, we started the week with a baby backer,
and we ended it with a baby backer.
That's right.
I was like a newborn backer.
Yeah.
Just a few months in, I think.
Well, thanks for giving us a chance to earn your business.
Who do we give backer the week to?
I think we're,
Irvin was taught, like, up there.
They brought cookies.
I think also.
Did you ever have one?
God damn.
There's still four over there.
I've eaten probably the most of everyone.
I had two cookies.
I had one immediately.
When I saw you bust that goo out, you know how to get in on that goo.
They were still warm.
Randy posted a story over the weekend, Red Lobster with like,
good big.
Like a bright blue cocktail with a pineapple wedge in it.
And I was like, if there's ever a picture to like perfectly describe like Randy's aura,
it's this one right here.
Good job.
I do love a blue Hawaiian.
That's one of my favorite drinks.
I kind of regret to getting it because girlfriend got a Pena Colada and it was much better.
Pinia colada at Red Lobster.
Yeah.
That's great.
How's the food?
I guess we can get into that in a minute.
I think I'm going to start doing my frozen content.
Follow at Randy Trebaki.
I think I'm going around town and doing frozen reviews.
I mean, it's a layup for me.
Just collab post it was circling back.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, Randy's frozen reviews.
I'll make it better.
I'm just that.
Freezing cold takes with Randy.
That's good.
Blended, oh, Randy's blended reviews.
No, no.
Yeah.
No.
What did Chelsea say?
Splendid Blended.
What did she say about what?
About when we were like, I guess we weren't dunking on her,
but when we're like we don't like blended, like, no, say frozen.
She, truth is, she likes it when we talk about it,
even if we kind of make it fun of her a little bit.
She's a good sport.
Hi, Chelsea.
Check out our substack.
Hit your inbox every Friday morning,
washdustack.com.
And then theme week,
is that tomorrow?
No, fine next Tuesday.
Yes, tomorrow is circling back on touching base.
Cannot wait.
Uh-huh.
Champing at the bed.
Yep.
Love it.
This will be, this is a good indoctrination
for baby backers.
Get to hear about to all the baby backers out there.
If you're a baby backer,
meaning like you've only been listening for a couple years.
I want my baby back.
I mean,
it's a good one.
It's on Patreon.
We drop two episodes on Patreon each week.
One Friday with listener voicemails.
You can leave a voicemail.
Many of you are.
877352-4677.
That's 877352 Hoss.
And yeah,
drop us a line there.
And every Tuesday we do a,
a rotating subject, a rotating episode, whether it's tomorrow, we've got circling back on touching
bass, cold call, well, we just call listeners, and theme week, the final Tuesday of every month.
So next Tuesday will be theme week, which we decided last week. And it'll be a theme.
We forgot what we decided. We decided.
Radio. Can someone in the chat remind us what we decided the theme would be? Because we were talking about
we don't remember. Because I have everything written down here of all the potential new theme weeks
for in the future, but I forgot which one we actually did.
Someone's going to tell us.
Yeah, don't make us go back and listen.
I even tried, I thought we, like, made a whole segment of it.
I was trying to find the segment.
You couldn't find it.
You couldn't find it.
I don't know.
We'll find it.
Sheesh.
Well, no.
The people know.
These guys are calling in.
These guys are wild, man.
These guys are wild.
Oh, man, you might, uh, you might be enjoying this show visually.
And if you are, you'll probably notice that I'm doing something on my upper torso that you might
like.
That's Dave's favorite.
shirt. It's the Dave shirt. That's what I call it. It's not, they don't call it that. Of course,
Poncho outdoors, uh, bringing, bringing you right now this weekend and fun.
Bro, let's go out this weekend. There's a crazy event happening. I'd like to turn up.
Bro, there's a crazy event happening. We had the party and it was lit. I got yelled out by a prostitute.
Let's just go have fun and they go with it.
David Wardrow's. Let's go. That's right. Poncho outdoors. I've got the original on.
This is kind of, this has become my go-to. This and they're lightweight.
hoodies that I will be putting on later on this afternoon slash evening when I mowed the lawn.
Fun fact. They're functional. Now, this one, the original, it breathes well. It's a great fitting
shirt, it's not tied under the arms. It's just a good one to wear. I wear it all weekend.
I wore it. I wore it so much on my little trip that I got home and I washed it. And now I'm wearing
it to work. That's how much I like it. Most comfortable shirt in the game, poncho is fantastic.
They don't just make shirts like this. They also have light, light washed,
denim ones. They've got the Marfa that we were big fans of.
Maybe my favorite shirt. A Western shirt with like the Pearl Snap cut, the Western cut.
Once you order one, you'll probably order a bunch more. The one of the lightweight hoodie,
it's got the UPF50 built in. And, um, yeah, they are very comfortable. They make great hats.
They make great graphic teas. Go check them out. Gear up for summer with poncho. Go to poncho outdoors.com
slash team. Enter your email. Get $10 off and free shipping on your first order.
That's P-O-N-C-H-O-Outdoors.com slash steam.
Drop in your email, get $10 off and free shipping.
Let them know, circle them back since you.
Oh, Randall, we kind of touched on it a little bit.
What you got?
I got the theme week for you.
Thanks to the chat.
Restaurant Week.
Bad group dinners, bad experiences, fun experiences, just good restaurant stories.
Next Tuesday, on Patreon.
Lock it in.
All right.
Dave Scoop at us.
You want to know my weekend.
So Friday went to the one and only red lobster.
The shrimp were not endless, as I did miss that.
But I did go to red lobster.
I got some lobsters, some shrimp, some salmon.
Oh, some calamari.
God dang.
Yeah, I got.
Just doing all.
Yeah.
And Megan, she got crabs.
Oh, I'm sorry.
No.
Very funny.
Come on, man.
She got snow crab, I think, and she had the bib and the vinyl gloves and everything.
I think you say she got crab.
No, no, no, she got crabs.
You say someone ordered crab.
This show is so silly.
Oh, God.
Hey, how many shrimp did you have?
I know they ended, but.
Yeah, they did.
I only had, I think, about six, seven.
Okay.
So you didn't get iodine poisoning?
No.
Okay.
Not yet.
You got crazy.
I don't know what's worse.
It's so unintentionally hilarious.
All right.
So that was good.
Saturday, we did a bunch of deep cleaning.
We went to Leona.
Because of the crabs.
No, we're having fun.
Seriously.
The audience should be laughing at this.
We went to, we went to Leona.
As Dave knows, is placed by us.
Got some breakfast tacos.
I know, too.
I've been there a few times.
Have you?
Yeah.
Oh.
Did you walk over?
Oh, I'd been there.
Yeah.
Well, this guy goes to a restaurant.
This guy is a year.
What, uh, how was it?
How was the weight and everything?
It was good.
Um, the weight for the tacos, the line was a little long.
I think from now on, walk over there and just going to put tacos in there.
Also, I think I was on TikTok when they sent me a, uh, a text to pick up my order.
So I missed the text by like 20 minutes.
You know, you shouldn't be on your phone.
You're on a date.
I guess that's true.
Yeah, dude.
No married couples ever.
were on their phone at a dinner.
Just kidding.
So,
saw a donkey on the way back.
There's a donkey I'm Brody.
I don't know if you ever seen it.
Darcy's.
Don't see.
We took a picture with it.
What is it?
The property next door?
Yeah.
They're holding out, I reckon.
I imagine everyone on that strip is.
There's a bunch of, like,
small, like big yard areas.
It's like many ranches is the best way to put it.
Small boulder the size of a large boulder.
It's like mini three acre ranch.
Yeah, they're like little,
with like a bunch of land but like some of them have little house on the brodie that's good that's
small large houses hang on i'm uh featured image uh farming he's dumbnail chasing
see it's a visual show you need uh you need to see this imagine not watching this on spotify
then hung out for a little bit played some video games went to the big thing was sunday time out
Okay.
You kind of snuck that in there.
What is Meg doing whilst you're playing video games?
She is also playing her own video game.
She's playing Stardue Valley.
Sick.
Or she was FaceTiming her friend.
On what platform?
She's on Switch.
Oh, all right.
A woman of culture.
How is she on the sticks?
She nice?
I don't think Star Doe Valley is really competitive.
Is she nice on the sticks?
I don't know.
Maybe.
It seems like her farm's doing well.
She has asked me to
She don't lost it
Yeah
She hasn't lost yet
So that means
That tells you all you need to know
She don't lost it for
Sunday
Went to go see
The Odyssey
You hear about this
And I can say
It's pretty good
I have
I don't think I've ever seen
Such like overwhelming
Positive reviews
From a movie in my life
It was really good
Definitely worth seeing in theaters
I would say
The sound
In the theater
Was like really
It really get you
How many times has Saw seen it?
He said he's already seen it twice.
Okay.
And he said his top two Nolan film for him.
I saw that he tweeted all of that.
He tweeted, I'm gonna, I've already texted my tattoo artist about this.
See, here's the thing.
I can never, I never trust his movie reviews because he glazes a movie for a year or two before it even comes out.
It's true.
So it's like, it's like.
It's true.
I don't think he's ever like glazed a movie and then gone like, oh, I actually wasn't as good as I thought.
Like, he's already committed.
Like, he can't go back on it.
So it was good.
I enjoyed it.
I would go see it again in 40X.
I would recommend go seeing it.
Am I going to get a tattoo of it?
No.
Yeah, I need to go.
I want to see it in the IMAX pretty badly.
Yeah.
I might go see it this week.
Hey, man, I'll see you there.
It's not when I really want to go, like, with people.
Maybe my life.
Definitely not you.
Okay.
There's no way you're making it through the whole thing.
I think a movie like that, I'll have no problem.
Yeah. No spoilers. Someone asked the chat. I'm not going to say anything until you guys see it.
Then maybe we can do it a little segment about it.
Well, I've read the book, so.
You've read the epic?
Yeah.
The Odyssey.
Yeah, I have.
In this original Greek?
Yeah, I translated it.
Oh, shit. Who wrote it?
Who wrote it?
It was Ducydides.
Nope.
Who wrote it, Dylan?
It was Homer.
It was home. I'm doing Homer. I'm doing Homer.
Oh, yeah. He got it.
Come on. All right.
it's really good
it wasn't
it actually wasn't translated
correctly though I read the original script
yeah
really yeah I actually did
I studied uh
yeah it was my uh my graduate degree
was in uh ancient Greek culture philosophy
really yeah that's so cool
are you more of Aristotle
no I do I know I was actually
yeah Aristotelian I read uh Nicomachean ethics
I don't even know these are real words
yeah you wouldn't understand
I wouldn't
on Plato guy myself
Oh, are you?
Yeah.
I like the way that it can form into like little shapes.
Once you have kids, you'll understand.
This stuff gets everywhere.
Originally a wallpaper cleaner.
Anything else?
I ruined your segment.
No.
Oh.
Good weekend.
God.
Stayed in as much as possible when I got some food.
Red lobster was great.
Dan was like,
why would you go to where a lobster?
Because it's fucking delicious.
Dan,
don't ask that question.
Why would you ask that question to him?
Yeah.
Do you know who you're talking about?
No, I just put out my story and he snuck in there.
fucking jack hammer yeah jack hammer what would you like to do the segment oh yeah yeah Friday
we stepped out got a little Mexican food at a place called at Joe in Mexico they had their
absolute fastball it was so good I would still want to take you guys whenever you're you want to
come with me I've been there you don't know what to order though I'm not doing molle
dude I'm not a mole guy
I'm really not.
But they're moly, Dave.
Anyway.
If you like moly in some fashion, you are a moly guy.
What you're the other wrong with?
I bet most people like molay sauce.
It's just not my jam.
Saturday was a...
It's actually jelly.
We took care of my dad.
My dad had surgery.
We picked him up, brought him home.
Actually, Chelsea, I had a haircut appointment.
Chelsea picked him up at the hospital and brought him home.
But then we went over there that night and cooked him dinner.
And he's doing okay.
Okay.
Doing okay.
Good.
Yeah. So that was Saturday, which was not to spend some time with the old man.
Sunday, big day was put Parks' new bedroom together. So I got rid of his bunk bed. I sold it on Facebook marketplace.
How'd that go, that transaction?
As smooth as it can possibly go. Actually, the person who found the posting was someone that I sort of know one of Dallas's friends. And so it worked out really well.
I'm still glad I don't have to take that bed apart anymore.
And it's an absolute beating.
Anyway, got his bed delivered on Saturday.
So we assembled it.
I assembled it Sunday.
And I'm really excited.
Parks didn't know yet.
He's going to come home to a new bedroom.
That'll be fun for him.
He's still across the pond.
And then, yeah, that was that.
We went to the pool.
And then last night for dinner, we went to this little tie place down the street.
Fantastic food.
Brooks Brothers or Joseph A. Banks?
That's good.
That's good.
That's good.
Thai food.
It was a restaurant.
Oh.
Yeah.
It was fantastic.
C.M.
A.T.X.
I think it's called.
C.M.
A.T.X.
Something like that.
Really, really good.
Look it up.
They had 650 Sapporo on draft, which was great.
I think it's C-I-A-M.
I spelled that wrong.
C-I.
Ah, yeah.
C-M.
What'd you order?
I got the,
on the menu,
it's like,
it's labeled like C4
or something like that
or something for.
You got C4?
Dude,
did you go out to
sleep in?
Yeah,
we're about to go do a workout,
dude,
a close of energy.
Bad ass.
Because it has words
that I can't,
that it's hard for,
like,
gringoes are pronounced.
So they just,
no.
Gringo's,
it's not really a word
traditionally using.
It's more Thai.
Yeah.
Okay.
You got icy blue razz.
They made it easy
for white people to order
on the menu.
How about that?
I would like to know
what,
like the not not like pejorative or slur for white people in tie is but like in gringos it's like
is that is that on the slurry side no but it's like not a gringos it can be used as like a classic gringo
i could have said like they make it easy for crackers to order but you know again do they have
crackers there i don't know what if they what if they're slur for white people is just david's
dave a bunch of daves i'm totally understand
fucking daves.
That's it.
Pretty good weekend, man.
I like that you remember the number on the menu.
Yeah.
Chelsea got the C8.
Dang.
Yeah, dude.
Oh, went to Costco.
All the like free samples of like salad stuff, no one was taking them.
Really?
Just thinking about explosive stuff like C4.
No, you talk.
Oh, of course, a diarrhea joke.
It's just, it's wild like how much produce is out there right now.
The C4 guys and Austin guys.
I believe.
Really?
Yeah.
Like the actual explosive or the pre-workout?
The pre-workout.
I didn't know.
It could have been.
Yeah.
Boy, I bet you fuck up some samples at Costco.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That was my first time, like, really going to go shop there.
I forgot to include that my weekend of fun, but we're still in the segment.
Dave, I would love to hear about your weekend.
Well, I finished, I finished Project Hail Mary Thursday evening.
And it was a.
a good movie.
Yeah.
He's like the ending?
I did.
I really,
you know,
when people start saying,
oh,
I cried in a movie like that,
you kind of like,
oh,
well,
kind of know where this is going.
You know,
you said,
you kind of spend the,
it kind of influences
how you watch a movie
because you're like,
all right,
well,
which one,
who's gone and when?
And,
spoiler.
Spoiler.
Hey, hey,
this is a spoiler.
Project Hill,
Mary.
Um,
Yeah, I thought, I thought Rocky was done.
And I thought, like, all right, that's, that should be a part of the story.
Like, that's, I get it.
He sacrificed himself to, to save grace.
Cool.
But he's back.
Hey, wasn't dead at all.
It was just healing.
Yeah.
There is a little bit like, I was like, after the movie, I was like, all right, well,
why, why, how did he realize?
What did he realize was going to kill Rocky eventually?
and like how there was a leak and it was the xenon metal.
See that the two things I think that was a little quick and I'm like I almost paused it
and looked it up but I didn't want to affect me.
The two things that weren't really well like explained in the movie were all the politics
and all the stuff that was happening on earth like geopolitically which I'm like that
okay you don't have to but then Taumiba they really like sped through that part in the
movie where like that was like many many chapters explaining how they like discover
Taumiba how they bred it.
and how all that happened.
So I guess what do you have like a specific question?
No,
well,
Mike,
I think I got it,
but just like when he's like,
all right,
well,
see you later.
And then he goes and there's like,
he gets the notification,
leak,
leak,
you know,
whatever,
emergency leak.
He goes down there and he's like,
oh,
fuck,
that's going to kill Rocky.
Yeah.
And so it's like,
I was like,
what's going to kill Rocky or how?
I had an idea,
I had like a base level understanding,
but I'm like,
what specifically.
But I thought that was cool.
I,
part of me was,
like, I wonder if he's going to go back to Earth and find
like Earth already is like destroyed, like
a planet of the apes type thing where he gets back and
like they already fought
and people already, there was a
nuclear war over resources or something
you know.
So no, I don't know where Earth is at.
All they give you is
well it had cooled significantly because
you saw a home drill on the
ship it was icy in the water. I think that was
to imply that the temperature
had already dropped quite a bit.
Yeah, but
or they could have just been in the Arctic or whatever yeah yeah but yeah it was I was like okay
cool so we're still we're still we've got humans on earth great I can't remember in the book or not
whether like I think that's seen at the end of the movie where it's like they can see the star getting
brighter like I don't know if that was in the book or not I can't remember like clearly like
riley grace knows like oh he did succeed but like I don't know I think they might left up to mystery
whether Earth was like saved or not.
I would have liked to have seen,
it may not have fit,
but I thought it would be cool
for the, to see the big dogs on Earth
who were running the project
pop in a video,
or, you know, not a video,
pop in the tape that he sent back
and be like, oh, fucking alien.
Right.
When she saw, when she watched the video,
she was like, okay.
Yeah, maybe they knew.
It's like, you don't have a...
We don't know what kind of...
These people might have known
about extraterrestrial.
Yeah, but I'm like...
Interaction with.
With an alien?
Yeah, I kind of wanted to see.
She's a cool customer.
Classic German.
But I would have loved to have seen her be like,
oh my God.
He's not only encountered intelligent life,
but he's like hanging out with.
He's singing karaoke with this guy or gal,
whatever it was.
Yeah, good movie.
Yeah, it was good.
I do regret watching it the day after the days after Interstellar.
But good film.
But then we went down in San Antonio, went to the J.W. Marriott for a little family weekend there, some friends and their kids.
It was our first, that was our first other families trip.
And it was a quick trip, just a weekender.
And it was good, you know.
The kids were good.
Did nine hours at the pool slash water park straight, which is pretty insane.
Did you go down in any water slides?
We did. The Marriott pool has, I'd say, four slides. They have two big slides. You have to be 48 inches or taller to do. I reach that threshold if you're wondering. Nice. And they also have the 42 inch ones, which you can go down in tandem, a tandem tube with your kid. And those are, does go through like a tube situation. And I got to tell you, the general reaction from those were like, oh, that was bad.
That was more intense than we thought it was going to be.
Because you're going up the side.
You're going on.
It was a lot of fun.
Did that quite a bit.
Rhodes buddy, who is six, he is tall enough to do the big slides.
And I had Rhodes and I was like, you know what?
Roads is not tall enough.
But, you know, let's just go up there.
Let's go up there and fuck it.
What's the worst going to happen?
Get all the way to the top, the big slides.
And I see it.
and one of them the one we were going to do is one where you get inside of a shoot or you get inside of a uh you stand on a platform and it shuts and then the floor drops out and it drops you down into this tube and i was like yeah this is you got to be like arms crossed feet cross i was like get road this is this is no road's he could get ragdalled on this and i don't i'm not going to do it so we went back down he held it very well uh i will say i thought for sure he was that's this is this is no road's going to get he could get ragdalled on this and i don't i don't i don't live very well uh i will say i thought for sure he
he was going to put up a fight because he wanted to do it but yeah i was like buddy next year you'll be
tall enough um it was a it was a move i was like not worth the risk yeah and when i told his
mom she was like no no absolutely he should not have gone on that i was like yeah you're right okay
we made the right choice i just wanted to see locked all the way up there uh lot of lazy river
that place is cool um i will say uh when you get there your check-in is at four on
Friday. Not only your check-in, but about 100 of your closest friends.
As a line to check in is quite long.
It's like spring break.
So any inclination you might have to go to the pool that day is going to be real tough.
Also, your room may not be ready.
Once you get all the way through the line, your room may not be ready.
That champs my shit, man.
And your stuff may not get to your room until.
like 7.30. It's okay. We
went to a little arcade room. We had dinner. You got a little
pizza place in there. What did you play? The new Ninja Turtles
game and we played a Jurassic Park game where you just
shoot Veloceraptors basically. Like you're in the Jeep. And then against my
against my great recommendations, my son wanted to do the claw machine. I was like
dude, don't do the claw machine. That claw.
Nobody wins the claw machine.
But yeah, it was good.
I will say, like, there's a way to do it.
Maybe don't go up on Friday.
It's going to be very busy.
It was at 100% capacity, which is fine.
That didn't really affect us.
But the check-in process wasn't great.
We'll say the people who worked at the pool and all the restaurants were awesome.
And that's that.
I feel like we had this discussion on the podcast.
I did look up recently, VESA, Texas, Six Flags,
the Texas does have a water park does have hurricane harbor yeah so don't worry okay good to know
slitterball right there not that far from there um yeah saturday was the big day i mean it was
we're out there you have to get out there about eight to get your spot we're there from eight until like
four four 30 hell yeah it's a long long day staying in a room with your uh two year old and your five
year old, got the pack and play with the slumber pot over it, drop your kid in there, zip it up,
hear him cry for about 30 seconds, and boom. And then you're pretty much stuck in the room after
that because you don't want to wake the kids up. And you're just, all right, we'll go to bed now.
So I was in bed at like 930, 10, both nights. Was following the goings on at the golf tournament
and then got home, got to watch it. Didn't get to see all of Cam Young's round yesterday.
More on that in a bit. Got home.
that World Cup picked up a snarf sandwich for the fam and uh hot d did you watch i did watch house
of the dragon okay good good episode good i don't know but these past two have just felt both like
very set up episodes okay interesting i liked it i want action yeah you you were teased i thought
we were going to get a lot more yeah with uh christin cole and co but so yeah
Also, I watched it.
Any questions?
A couple hours after The Odyssey, which was a bunch of action and stuff happening.
It's a juxtaposition play.

A little bit of an announcement here.
I'll let you take it, Dawn.
This is kind of a big announcement, I think.
Yeah, if you looked at the tweet promoting the show, you already know that we are hiring.
We are about to post a job opening.
Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, probably today.
We are hiring a social media coordinator position.
This is a full-time position, and we're very excited about it.
Yeah, the family grows by one here pretty soon, hopefully.
and we're promoting it to all of our social channels
and hopefully reach someone who is already super familiar with us
I think would be the ideal candidate.
But anyone on the table, really.
So keep an eye out for that if you're interested.
Not anyone.
You got to be a real poster.
Oh, yeah.
You got to be a real poster.
Yeah.
This is for extremely online people.
And I think you have to be of legal age to work and legal to work in the U.S.
Yes.
All that stuff.
Great point.
stuff too, yes. We're very excited about this. We've been talking about this for a while now and
are finally ready to pull trigger on it and I'm stoked. I can't wait to get somebody in here.
And that's that. We're hiring. Yeah, it'll be up on washmedia.com. We're hiring.
Oh, was that a new sound effect? We're hiring. Or just keeping it out on the socials.
You'll see the call out there. Do it in C4 Dillon Boys.
Yo, I just got a job posting to hire people.
I'm ready to bump it up.
Jeez, all right.
I couldn't have done that better myself.
That was really good.
I'm going to bust out some curls and then eat some Thai food.
J.
You're going to bust out something.
It's Reha time.
That sounded like action star here.
They really did.
Oh, okay.
That's your 90s beer commercial catchline.
Oh, that's the Randy action figure.
Well, if you still want to work with us, we are still hiring.
If you can't deal with that, you should not apply.
I'll just tell you that right now.
Speaking of socials.
Did you get any dumplings?
Did that place have dumplings, soup dumplings or anything like that?
They did have something that was not, it wasn't called dumpling on the menu, but yeah,
they had like a dumpling-esque.
I'm going to tell you something about dumplings.
I love them.
Soup dumplings specifically.
Love soup dumplings.
There's places that are known for that in town.
A lot of soup dumplings, I don't have a sophisticated enough palate.
It's pretty much like...
They all kind of the same for you?
I enjoy them all.
I've never had a bad, like a dump suit dumpling, and I'm like, mm.
Like Wu Chal, which is still here in town.
Good place.
Haven't been a long time.
They got a good one.
So does that place we did with the company?
Ling Wu?
Linwu?
Linwu?
The one over in Barton Creek.
I know.
I'm talking about the one on West 6th Street.
We did our company party there, right?
I thought it was like, Chi.
No, that's Chi.
That's a different place.
Yeah.
Okay.
Were you famously missed out on the teeny?
Same ownership, but different restaurants.
No, no, that was at Perry's where he messed out on the teeny.
No.
That was at Chi.
That was it?
We were upstairs?
Yeah, you'd make that mistake, but that was a Chi because everyone had to go take a dokey, and he missed it.
I went to go take a leak, and it was gone for two minutes.
And you had to go all the way downstairs, right?
The bathroom wasn't close.
Not only did y'all have time, you all ordered and got the drinks before I got back,
and it was like two minutes.
There's nothing, not one for me.
It was really unfortunate.
And I don't blame myself.
I blame others.
I'll blame myself either.
I'm going to blame the wives.
Yeah.
Shout out DTF in Vegas, though.
That's our, yeah, dude.
That's our soup dumpling place.
DTF.
Go there once a year.
I usually go to STK, then I go to DTF.
I go get my dumplings and DTF.
Then I go over to STK and I get a ribby.
It's quite a lineup, dude.
It's so sick.
Yeah, it's really good.
And then I have C4 later on.
fucking yaw gonna pump in fuck he only he only goes and eats stuff with acronyms yeah that's all i do i'm
acronym guy what's a shitty character what's this segment oh yeah we're hiring please work for this
i mean don't let the last couple minutes so check out the socials like real posters only and uh thank
you to everyone that comment on the the meridian post we will be announcing later today oh dude
love the meridian post love the comments people are funny man there might be we might do a segment
later in this week of just going through some of those comments because there were some really
funny ones in there too it's good good stuff that meridian putters people are excited about it
and uh some controversy about who won maybe go watch the video even if you add a stroke who won
yeah i thought doing one handedly i did because remember i was out of bounds even though we didn't
agree to al about about i think you got five right i don't know yeah i think with the penalty yeah because
i was i think i was dropping three
which would mean that you and you and Dylan might have tied.
I don't know.
I gave it to Dylan.
I defer.
I defer.
Okay.
I will give it to Dylan.
Anything to get Dylan into golf.
If it takes him playing a Trimbaki course to get him back into the game,
he only plays Trimbaki's.
It's true.
Go check out our latest post on Instagram to go see it.
The guys and me play my whole.
You're one of the fellas.
I'm a real guy.
You're a cool guy.
He's a real guy.
You're a real guy.
Some are saying.
Yeah.
Hey, very, very exciting times here.
I'm, I am stoked to, uh, to go through this process of, uh, growing the company by, uh, one.
Or more.
Who knows?
What if we got a bunch of posters?
One of us.
So, we'll see.
The open.
Ah.
Man, I, I wish we had an episode, uh, on Friday.
What day was the Bryson drop or the, the Bryson conference?
Saturday.
It was Friday.
I was driving down to San Antonio.
Because I texted. I go, what the fuck did I miss?
It was Friday.
So I will say this.
So Friday, before I got in the car, I saw a TikTok or an Instagram reel of Bryson.
And it was not like, this is before anything had been said about it.
It was like, Bryson stomping all over the place looking for, or, you know, before his shot.
And I saw it.
And I swear, I just had the thought of like, yeah, he can't do that, but they're not going
to say anything.
that's something that they're it didn't look egregious in the one angle i saw but then i i i drove down to
san antonia group text blew up and i was like what the fuck well he was stomping around behind the ball
uh as he was like looking at the line of his shot um and then when he he grabbed his club then
he was kind of in the same area back there and then he decided to step up to you know to set up for a
shot and he stomped down a big chunk of grass that was it seemed to be squarely in his
swing path can't do that and so that's a rule that i feel like a lot of amateurs don't
really abide by in fact i've i've witnessed it in like gambling around i mean i've done it yeah and you know
yeah if i can put my ass on a big branch and bend it backwards i'm going to yeah and it's a nuanced rule but
like I think everybody kind of shakes out that like yeah he violated the rule like he he did
and he's he's almost doing I might be not because it's bryson I may be reading into it too much
but there's like he has a look on his face as if like he's per okay using performatively
different than Rory is going to use it here in a minute like he's like looking and it's like
he's almost like kind of fake looking while taking these steps that are mashing it down almost like
the oh i'm definitely not doing what you think i'm doing i'm looking over here i'm not looking down
and doing it might be wrong there i might be not giving him the benefit of the doubt but it doesn't
matter like he did violate it and okay even then he's still going into the weekend like two or three
shots off the lead he's very much in the mix and then you get all the stuff that happened after
which was the most egregious so when he
I don't know.
Was it his idea you think to go back out to the spot with the officials to like get to like talk it out?
Don't know.
This is after the round, right?
So he hops on a cart with some of, you know, some of the PGA, not PGA, whatever it is, the officials.
Arna.
Arna.
They go out there and he's talking through it.
And he's very animated.
You can tell he's very upset.
And he's just well aware of the cameras are on.
His arms are flailing.
He's pouting.
At one point, you can like, we can, you can.
can read his lips. He goes, I might not play tomorrow. Like, okay, first of all, we're going to be just
fine. The tournament will continue without you, but he's just such a, he's such a pouty baby about all this
stuff. Like, argue your point. If you argue your point, if you disagree with it, that's fair game.
But to flail your arms around and stomp around and to say, I might not play tomorrow,
shut the fuck up, dude. I'm so sick of this guy's attitude. I can't stand it.
Um, he did.
I mean, he broke the rule.
He did.
He really did.
The idea that you would just take your ball and go home.
Yeah.
Because of a penalty.
Um, on Friday with the whole weekend head, it's just, it's kind of astonishing.
He's, you do look like a real baby.
Um, I'm sure he has the idea and a lot of his, his bots or his army of bots.
they'll tell you like they got it out for him they got out they went at me pretty hard they go yeah
anybody who speaks negatively upon him on on x we'll get it and it's it's really funny to look at
uh just go look at don'ts or plies or whatever um that being said it's it's like that rule
so the i think most people agree that the a lot of the rules of golf aren't consistently
enforced and like something like that that probably happens um often and it does affect somebody like
someone who is a high player of bryson status one of the biggest names in golf is going to have
all the cameras on him on every shot especially when you're in the mix when you're one off the lead
or whatever going like on friday like you know you've got the cameras watching right as opposed to
if you're an amateur and you're you're eight over you're probably going to get away with that right yeah
um so you got to be more aware and it would be great if they could enforce that across the board but
that's the reality is it's just that's not the case for some reason so a report came out um so jeff
shackleford who writes a substack newsletter called the quadrilateral reporter that sources said
de shambo asked about the ability to call president trump while
he was over there talking to the officials.
Dude, I, okay, so that, there was people posting, like, the Tiger, uh, just got the phone,
I'm the phone with the president.
Yeah.
Like, before that.
Right, right.
And the fact that that is, was really in play is preposterous.
Can you, first of all, you're not in the United States.
So I don't know how much pool the president's going to have with the open championship officials.
Um, but this is just so fucking Bryson, man.
What if he did call Trump?
And Trump was like, all right, did it for the red card.
And then that didn't work out.
Sorry, Bryson.
And then just hung up on it.
Well, Tiger has his accident, calls President Trump.
I'm on the phone with the president.
If the president takes a call about that when we're in the process of having, in a war.
Yeah.
A war where we're actively losing people.
Like, you can't.
That is, that's insane.
Oh, my God.
And I'd love to know how close this got.
And then we've got to talk about Rory.
Hey, I get, not everybody likes Rory.
I like Rory.
And I liked Rory's comments.
I think Rory, Rory has, throughout his career,
he's done some things where he just kind of comes off as like,
you know, a little bit of a B back in the day.
Sure.
But I generally like Rory.
And I really like him because he'll give you a comment.
And he'll tell you, like, how he feels where a lot of guys
they'll dance around it.
Now, I will say this about Bryson also.
That whole thing caused the T-Times to be delayed, the announcement.
And you had golfers, like, you kept seeing this.
My four U-Tab was a ton of golfers, Marco Pinge, Michael Kemp, other golfers tweeting
at the R&A or whatever, the Open Championship account like, hey, are you guys going to drop
tea times because they were delayed.
They're waiting on Bryson.
A lot of these guys need to get up early as hell.
And they're like, hey, man, we're kind of in limbo here.
I think we're already used.
the phrase he was holding us hostage.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So Rory, he could have just, he could have just as easily been like, it was the right
ruling.
I agree with it.
Their two-struck penalty should have been enforced and it was.
Good job.
Instead, he just dig.
He just, he can't help but like take shots at Bryson.
He said, I don't think it's a secret.
I'm not fond of him.
I'm not fond of him.
Yeah.
That's, that's pretty damning shit.
Scotty teased having a real take on this.
And then yesterday after his round gave a little bit of a thought.
He basically said, I play with Bryson since junior golf.
I think he said he's a lot of things, but he's not a cheater.
So he doesn't think Bryson did it intentionally.
Yeah.
And he also mentioned that like the rules are not enforced consistently.
I just think most people on that tour don't like him.
And also like.
Absolutely not.
Rory.
The Rory Bryson.
and rivalry is is pretty great.
You took over for Brooks.
Because when Brooks went live,
they kind of got chummy with each other.
I don't know how much of that was like PR.
Yeah.
But that rivalry kind of died down a bit,
but now we have already coming out publicly against them.
And it's,
this stuff like that is,
is fun for golf.
I really enjoy the little rivalries and the shit talking.
I'm really glad.
So we moved past it.
We get this Sunday.
Sam Burns comes out.
Bogies a few holes.
and then you have Scotty in the mix.
Cam Young goes out, posts nine under,
which in my head I was like,
well, that's not going to be enough.
I think it's going to be,
I for some reason thought 11 was going to do it.
But it held up pretty well,
obviously until the last hole
or the last player out there.
It was a pretty,
Scotty's round was interesting,
because you had his ball in a hole at one point,
just a horrible break.
You had him on 17 getting an egregious,
an egregious free drop from hitting it in the obstruction,
the stands and not being able to find it.
And then he birdies the hole, of course.
So you're like, damn, if Scotty wins this thing and he gets that,
there's going to be a lot of talk.
Not that Scottie did anything wrong, that's the rule.
But there already is a lot of talk.
about the drops you get from those those TIO drops I think they're called and thank
god for Ryan Fox because you're watching and like Siwu is not doing anything Sam Burns is not
doing anything it seems like nobody's like doing it like nobody's taking the golf yeah and I thought
burns was going to win by two or three when he was down the stretch a little bit but he just kind of
faltered uh but maybe Ryan Fox I didn't know much about him before this he is uh I'm a fan
I love, I mean, a lot of the talk around this guy is how quickly he plays the game, which is great.
There's a 22 second, 22 seconds between who is he playing with?
Sam Burns.
Burns, between Burns making his last put on 18 until Ryan Fox hit his winning birdie putt from, it seemed like 12 to 15 feet.
Yeah, he, he's a great open champion.
He's a guy that most people aren't familiar with.
He's like a New Zealand guy.
His dad, his family has played like, or like known rugby players or in that world, different sports.
He didn't start playing golf until he was older, like in high school.
And he's got an extremely homemade, unconventional swing.
And he plays fast, like you said, which as a viewer, you're like, hell yeah.
Yeah, that's awesome.
And guys like that, you know, he's 39, I believe.
Not going to, probably not going to have a ton of opportunities to win a major.
And he went out there and just did it.
I love seeing a first time major winner, especially, yeah, like you said, someone who's 39.
It's like, man, this might be your only chance to do this.
And this is awesome for you.
He's just a good dude.
Drinking wine out of the claret jug already.
Grape?
Like, open some grape in the jug before the, uh,
even before like the photos and stuff.
It was great.
And I'm happy because it was, it was,
I was wondering if this is going to be like a dull,
like, all right,
this might go to a playoff,
got Cam Young over there warming up.
Um,
I was rooting for Tommy lad.
Just wasn't his day.
Again.
Uh,
good tournament.
Uh,
I think,
I think it held its own.
And that's it for,
in his golf.
As much as I dislike Bryson and his whole,
everything about what,
he's fun like that was fun yeah i like having him there he was out there he had a lot of criticism
which we talked about going into the week on like okay is he going to miss another like his fourth
cut is he going to miss every major cut well no he went out there and was really good he was out there
and he was out there banging driver into some spots that a lot of guys weren't and then friday
happens and you get like an extreme bryson moment and yeah you got to have him in the mix
So that was fun.
It was.
It was good.
Good golf.
Kind of bummed.
That's it.
I mean, FedEx Cup, all that.
Okay.
But that's it for your major championships.
See you at Augusta.
On the football, Dave.
On to football.
This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.
Better Helps, 2026 State of Stigma Report.
It'll tell you how we're really doing.
And they did it.
And listen to this.
It surveyed over 2,000 Americans in
reveal that 85% of Americans believe that getting support is wise, yet 74% say society
discourages people from doing so. And that's kind of wild. And there's a big gap between
believing in mental health support and actually seeking it. And I think we as a society,
we can close that gap. So go consider therapy. If somebody's been on the fence,
better helps a great way to get into it. It's online therapy. It's the world's largest online
therapy platform with over 30,000 therapists, and they've served over 6 million people globally,
and it works with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 for a live session based on over 1.7 million
client reviews and better helps therapists work according to a strict code of conduct and are fully

what tom brady's doing uh he's done color analyst he's done some cool thing
Colorianus.
Owner of a football team.
He's a partial owner of the Raiders, the Las Vegas Raiders, which is cool.
Hertz commercials.
Is he doing Hertz?
I think he won those car rental place.
I think it's Hertz.
In the last week or so, he's now had two publicity stunts with Logan Paul.
Logan Paul.
There's a real beef there, and this seems totally legit.
He slapped his face.
He's flipping them off.
He's doing content.
That's, here's the issue.
We're not used to seeing our goats to be content guys post career.
I know it's a different era now.
You can't really compare it to Jordan or whoever.
Now, LeBron, on the other hand, LeBron is going golf content.
Anyway, it's just, it's weird.
It's almost a little bit unbecoming.
You're like, dude, why are you doing so much?
Like, your name is relevant enough.
You don't have to be in the mix here.
It's like he, it's like he can't stand for.
falling out of the limelight, even a smidge.
He's got to stay in it.
He's arguably the best.
Well, I don't think he's the best, but he is a top-tier color commentator in the NFL.
He's going to be relevant.
He's also Tom Brady, and he owns a team.
Like, why do you have to do this?
Why do you have to get in bed with the Paul brothers?
I don't know.
Most people don't really care for the Paul brothers.
No.
Like, they're around, and you're like, okay, they're just there.
making a lot of money, hanging out with Michael Rubin, doing that whole deal.
I don't know why he's in this world.
It's very odd.
Tell me about Michael Rubin.
I don't know a lot about his game.
Yeah.
He's a billionaire.
Fanatics is his company that he started, I guess.
But is he have influence over what's going on here with Brady?
He throws or through the white party.
He's the white party guy.
Which I've always felt to be a little bit odd.
There's something odd there.
I have no proof of it.
I've been on this hill for a while.
with some other group chats where it's just like okay I saw someone call them the modern day
Epstein which I don't think is probably fair I feel like there's not a lot of evidence on that but
when you throw a party like that in the in the the guest list is like a who's who and
it seems like you have a lot of influence over people it's just interesting there's something
I'm clocking.
Conspiracy, Dave.
That's it.
No, I'm saying there's no evidence there.
I'm just, you know, what goes on at these parties?
Well, no.
So this is Tom Brady flicking off at the World Cup final?
Oh, this guy's crazy.
Yeah.
Oh, they're flicking each other off.
Oh, Logan Paul, extra bleached hair.
I judge people by how they do the middle finger, by the way.
Show me Logan Paul real quick.
Quick.
Yeah.
See, he does, he does this one.
He has thumb out.
Which is, which is chachi to me to do it like this.
Yeah.
Knuckles up, thumb out.
Yeah.
I'm like this.
I just, I just go just a finger dog.
I'm just all business with it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then play the other video where he slaps Logan Paul across the face.
I don't need my, my NFL grades getting into professional wrestling.
Can't.
Oh.
It was like a, it was like a,
You know chop.
He kind of cut him on the ear a little bit.
And then, of course, Carl Anthony Towns breaks it up.
Totally legit.
By the way, Paul, Logan Paul, Logan Paul works Tom Brady.
I hate to say it.
You know, fight, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
He's a, he trains.
He's a boxer, yeah.
Is he as good as a professional boxer?
I mean, clearly.
It's his brother who's the better.
Now, can he read a too high safety defense like Tom Brady?
I don't think so.
No.
No, I just, I don't like, it's just, here's the thing.
You never want to see, like, if you were to tell me, like, Dirk has been doing content with the Paul brothers, I would be like, man, I really don't need this to happen right now. I don't, I don't like this, where this is going. I don't want his leg, I don't want at the end of the day, like, my kids to grow up in a world where they know my favorite player as the guy who is a Paul brothers foil. You know what I'm saying? I want him to know him from like what he did, between the lines or on the court.
Sure.
not this don't taint that legacy dog you're the goat you don't need to do this you're doing you're doing too
much aha ha ha Michael Jordan being really in a NASCAR owning a NASCAR team is interesting too
to me just kind of sick yeah it's kind of sick he just kind of doing weird shit until he just
fucking loves it I mean he's probably making a ton of money on it yeah yeah just something to
track a little bit.
That's all.
Just be doing Shaquille O'Neal and just be sponsoring and owning everything.
When I went, great point.
When Emmett Smith did Dancing with the Stars.
Wanted?
I was like, why is he doing this?
And then he won it.
And then he kind of like, you know, that was back in like, I don't know, early 2000s.
And it was a boom, a boom for his career.
Oh, second life.
And like, okay, yeah.
I get why he snowed Dylan now.
Makes sense.
I get why he snubbed Dylan.
Yeah, you were kind of probably a shithead.
Yeah.
You probably went about it like thinking he owed it.
I couldn't have been kinder.
Come on, man.
I couldn't have been more respectful.
I called him Mr. Smith.
Mr. Smith.
Mr. Smith, please sign my football.
You should have called him deuce deuce.
Should have called him fucking bitch.
You were going to call Emmett Smith a bitch.
Nah.
Dude, I was 10, man.
Would have made my day.
instead he made a

I said this before, Vander Jack, right before he his career, took a nose dive.
Some idiot kicker.
Isn't it?
Is he the one?
He's the idiot kick.
Yeah.
Former cowboy.
Some idiot kicker getting all liquored up.
Hey, check this out.
So, you know, I mentioned I was staying at a hotel resort.
Mm-hmm.

We'll get to the game, I guess, in a minute.
We don't really have a ton on World Cup outside.
The halftime show.
Yeah.
I was not even expecting a halftime show.
We haven't seen one up to this point.
It's the final.
It's in America.
It's the world's game.
I knew they were going to do something.
Did you know they were going to kick off with Madonna?
I had no idea.
Did you know they opened with Madonna and they went right into the Muppets?
I wasn't expecting the Muppets.
Did they bring out the Muppets because did Jack White not want to do it?
Or is it just, I don't know.
Because of course they did Seven Nation Army.
Right.
Bebs?
A lot of criticism on the song choice.
because it was too soft, slow.
Yeah.
It was an acoustic jam.
He could play.
I didn't mind it.
I thought it was kind of cool.
In the moment, in the moment, I was like, why, why is he doing this?
Like, he's got so many, like, more upbeat bops.
Like, this, he didn't sound bad.
It was, it was a good, I thought.
Good performance, but it was just like kind of bringing the room down, bud.
But whatever, people were just happy to see Beavs out there.
Shakira, you sent me some screenshots.
She still got it.
it. Yeah.
Still got it.
Hips were just no, no lie whatsoever to be found.
Throwing that ass.
Yeah.
Throwing that ass, Randy.
It was an interesting collection of artists.
It's chaotic and, yeah, a World Cup, like something like that,
that's, you know, going to be the most viewed halftime show, maybe ever.
Possibly worldwide.
Yeah, it's the World Cup.
it's going to be chaotic.
They're trying to appease every, every, every market, right?
Just a little bit of something for everybody.
They weren't going to have Mike and the Moon pies out there, Dylan.
Mike and the Moon Pie is going on.
A lot of Mike and the Moon Pie talk here at the office today.
But okay.
I thought it was fun.
They should add Mike in the Moon Pie.
Yeah, it was cool.
Totally unexpected, but cool.
As for the game itself.
merits the game.
Yeah.
My takeaway from that game is that Spain plays just a halacious defense.
Just Argentina could not get a shot off.
Pretty impressive stuff.
Legitimately.
Pretty impressive stuff.
Didn't get interesting until the last three minutes.
Yeah.
I was hoping for PKs,
even though I was manufacturing the take that I feel like probably everybody or a lot of people have
when it goes to PKs, like, man, we're going to decide this?
with penalty kicks?
Hey, question.
But question with PKs.
Obviously, Argentina, one of their guys
had a red card, so they were down a man
for much of the match.
PKs, that doesn't matter anymore, right?
You get the same amount of guys.
Right.
That guy, I'm assuming, is not available
for PKK now.
Right, right, okay.
It's funny you say that.
In my head, I was crafting a tweet.
It was more, it was just kind of a troll
about how, because of the red card,
there should be an automatic X
that Argentina has to start with.
Yeah.
Like a placeholder X,
which is a bad take,
but one that I was going to put out there
just to see if I could get some hate.
I was wondering.
Would it be cheap for a World Cup final
to come down to penalty kicks?
Yeah.
I mean, it has before.
Yeah.
But Spain was clearly the better team,
so they should have won.
They had a...
That's the thing.
They had a goal that called off
because of a foul,
which was very ticky-tack,
according to...
According to soccer ball,
knowers that Twitter broke right when that happened
or wasn't loading posts.
And like,
I'm watching that.
And I'm like texting our group chat,
like that was soft,
right?
And Will,
we'll jumped in to do some footy explaining.
And yeah,
that was,
I don't know.
I felt like the American broadcast,
the commentators didn't really,
didn't really want to say like,
yeah,
that was a soft call because it just seemed soft.
And it also seemed like the Argentinian guy.
was also fouling was like grabbing so whatever uh spain deserved to win you did have that feeling
that like argentina they're going to steal it again like they've stolen a couple again you know what i mean
you had for some messy some messy magic or something they're they're down they did this against
egypt they did against uh they just put the clamps on them dude they fucking put them and they
they fucking buckled them up man yeah so there you go speaking of uh we didn't talk about we even talk
about the open broadcast.
As somebody who had to catch up,
even though I go mustard first,
typically now, Randy.
We have a backer sending us some mustard.
Do we?
His mom's mustard and mustard company.
Mom's mustard?
Well, to give it to bregots dibs.
He's a mustard guy's back in on mustard.
I don't know if you heard that.
So I had it paused.
I had to catch up from my resume from last watch,
drive from San Antonio, get home, turn on the open.
And I'm fast forwarding YouTube TV.
And my only take is like,
Man, fast forwarding and there's a lot of commercials, a lot.
And then start to watch just an abysmal product.
We get spoiled with the master's coverage, which they do very little commercial.
Yeah, everybody, everybody was gassing up the Sky News or Sky Broadcast, which you can get on Peacock, which is what people over in Europe are watching.
Okay.
And it's a much better product and you're not getting the commercials.
at the rate that you are here.
And they do the playing through.
And if you're me,
when I see playing through
and I'm getting the commercial
and I'm like trying to watch,
it's not.
Oh, and they do the small box with the golf.
Yes.
No,
it's not sufficient.
So that was,
it was bad.
It was a trash,
trash product.
Sorry.
But the World Cup was,
dude,
that was fun.
That was a really fun month
or three weeks,
whatever it was.
It was.
No issues.
No issues as far as like,
we didn't blow it
pretty thrilling World Cup
he's as a non-socer guy
I mean like I said stars played like stars
it was just fun man
a lot of a lot of exciting games
got to see
Messi and Ronaldo and which very likely
the last
Holland he made me a citizen
I think the fans outside of it
really made it fun too
seeing just all the international fans
come to America
even the fake fans
fans who've been living here for like
20 years did like you know raising a family here like oh my gosh i found buckies put whatever
accent you want with that i'm not gonna do the voice do a voice uh yeah it's fun good for them
fans were good it was that was fun fun time on my daves anti fake fans you're right i am anti fake
don't don't put deep fakes in baseball dude no deep fakes in baseball thank you for knowing that randy
that's a deep cut baby backers don't know about that oh no way i don't know it i don't know it o'n's just like
His head is, he's in the spin zone right now.
That's for 20-20 backers there.
Thank you for the cookies, Erlvan.
Sorry, we had to put you in the spin zone.
I have eight.
I have eaten so many.
Eight, Eden?
Erlvan has gotten so much play since he stopped by here, man.
And his wife.
Yeah.
Susan, which I don't even know if Earl even baked him.
I'm assuming, like, it was, it was, it was.
Oh, why would you assume that?
Because it was Susan and Erlvan.
I think she did it.
And it was her recipe.
And he even said to her, I think he said, well, it's her recipe.
Well, it's her recipe.
Hold on.
Do we need to deduct point?
We're going to dock a point.
Erlvan, Irlevin.
That's worth the full point.
DM me if I'm right, because I'm pretty sure.
That's worth a full point.
You said that it was, she made them.
It was her recipe.
Well, you said I assume.
Although, okay.
I'm assuming because I think I knew.
I'm about to spin this.
I do deduct an ally point from you.
But I give you one ally point because you have eaten more cookies than anybody.
And I further deduct an ally point from you.
If what Randy says is true, this is contingent upon what Randy suggested.
And I deducted an.
Because you didn't try one.
That doesn't, that doesn't try one.
So I do deduct.
And I did not contingent upon.
Deduct another one because you never posted the real or the story of me rating it.
Oh, that's because I, I said something incorrectly.
And I was like, I don't want to put, I'm going to get people to make fun of me.
What did you say?
I don't even remember.
It was, it wasn't worth the post.
If I, if I stopped all content because I said something incorrectly, we would not, we wouldn't have a podcast.
point.
Randy,
that's part of what makes this show great, Randy.
I accidentally said that my girlfriend got crabs this week.
Were you even in the video?
Were you just recording?
I don't even remember this video.
I was just recording.
He didn't pose it because he mispronounced something.
It wasn't a mis-I just said something incorrectly.
It doesn't matter.
We're beyond it.
It does matter because he was attempting to deduct an ally point,
and I had already just potentially contingent upon one thing.
You're not the keeper of all the points, man.
Somebody's got to be.
Let's take a vote. How many, deduct at least one? I. Do you agree to deduct one for him?
It's contingent. Well, I don't know. I thought we'd do a majority of rules. I thought this is America.
It's contingent. It's contingent. I have to know who made the cookies first.
It's true. Either Dylan didn't try Earlvin's cookies or he didn't try Earlvin and Sylvan's cook. Susan.
Sylvan and Sylvan or Susan's cookies. And I just don't know. So we'll find out. This will lead the show with us tomorrow.
They were made with brown butter and love.
Hey, so Dylan, the unbleached buttholeeched butthole and won't release the Randy video.
This is crazy.
And won't show us his new haircut.
What's going on?
What's going on?
Can we just end this episode.
Well, it doesn't want the slunk video out.
Can't even eat slonks for the folks.
Won't get the tattoo on his butt like he's supposed to.
Even though I took El Glyz from you, I took it off your shoulders.
Thank you for that, actually.
But I'm not taking this off your shoulders.
It's very funny that I did not realize way back.
back in the day when we had Ricky make this,
that we have L. Liz on the back of this
Womond shirt. That's
incredible pull. L. Liz.
It's a great shirt. That's foreshadowing
right there. Oh, that's one that was returned.
Yep. Yeah. It's good. It's good.
Who returbed? It returns that shirt. It's a good
shirt. It's a moron returned it. Yeah.
embroidered there. It was Irlevin.
We just lost the backer.
That's a good John, dude. It's good.
See you tomorrow. Bye.
Bye.
Ranchos and Matt all ranches
