Starting point is 00:00:00 my name is Brett Merriman to my right David Ruff right I gotta I got to give you some credit, man. You pulled a move today that I've done this many times. It is the guys, I'm running a few minutes late, stopping by 7-Eleven. Who wants something? It's the classic, you can't be mad at me. I offered to get y'all some stuff from the snack store. Showing up 15 minutes late with donuts. I was like, hey. I was putting the team on my back here.
Starting point is 00:00:47 You're not the guy who was late. You're the guy who brought food. It's a smart play. I love that move. Even though no one took you up on your generous offer. I almost had you get me some hamburger supplies from the gas station. Just to really... You should have been like, actually, can I get $30 worth of gas stations? Just a log of
Starting point is 00:01:03 frozen meat patties. Yeah. Stuck together with just little pieces of paper, you know? I mean, show me something that's bad. You can't. I used to cook those a lot on my George Foreman grill when I was like a freshman, sophomore in college. I think I had a George Foreman everywhere I lived in college and used it successfully like four times.
Starting point is 00:01:29 The patty would start off about seven inches in diameter, and by the time you finish cooking, it's like four and a half. All that fat just drips off of it. It's disgusting. That's one of the harder things to clean, too, because when the fat is, to me, I found impossible to clean off that like tray thing i hate doing that i'm so the less i can use my george for retrospect you need to utilize the foil method
Starting point is 00:01:51 what's the foil method where you just line your what are your drip tray with foil oh that way you can just pop it off and replace not have to worry about the grease going down the sink and all that honestly that's just a great method it's a it's a move I pull in my air fryer. I've used that to bake things lately. If you just throw something in the oven, throw a layer of foil on it. Wow. Foil can be very useful.
Starting point is 00:02:14 There's many uses for foil. Sure. Some people use it for grilling. What else? Let's go over all the uses of foil. You can throw fish in there, right? And then throw it on the grill so you kind of get a more even cook.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Sometimes fish has the tendency to stick onto the grates if you're not careful. Sticky grates, man. That's why you've got to oil them up. You've got to oil them up, I guess. I don't know. I don't know if I've ever even done that. Sounds right, though. I've been having trouble toasting my buns on the grill. Even if I butter them even done that. Sounds right, though. I've been having trouble toasting my buns on the grill.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Oh, really? Even if I butter them up, they stick to the grates. Are you supposed to indirect heat those? If you have the top-tier rack, I find that's better. Yeah, you don't want that right on the fire. That's too much heat, literally. It's too much dip on there. No, I don't want to do that.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I had sausage for dinner last night. Oh, yeah? One, I had two sausages. One was in a hot dog bun. The other was in a tortilla. Whoa. Ask me what I had. Sunbasket.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Ribeye. Oh, very close. I had a ribeye. That's interesting. I didn't see any photos of it. Roasted brussies. I don't feel the need to document. Why?
Starting point is 00:03:26 I just don't need to. I don't want people to judge me. They won't judge you for the meat. They'll find something like your countertop. Yeah, like, oh, you don't have granite? Oh, you got those plates from your grandma handed down to you? Nice cabinets.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Cool. What year were those installed? Just rip on. What is wrong with people? I don't know. They're just being people. I've told you the dynamics of guys posting. Guys get roasted.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Girls get gassed up on Instagram. It's every time. For what? Just posting a picture of themselves. If I post a picture of myself, people just rip on my clothes or how I look or just something. You definitely do. You need to get a new bathing myself, people just rip on my clothes or how I look or just something. Yeah, you definitely do. You need to get a new bathing suit, by the way. But if a girl posts something, even if she doesn't look smoking hot, her girlfriends are just freaking out and dropping fire emojis.
Starting point is 00:04:18 It's ridiculous. Yeah, but here's the thing, though. The girls in the group text are like, did you see Becky's post? Oh, they talk shit about each other. Absolutely. Of course. But publicly, it's like, oh, my God in the group text are like, did you see, like, Becky's post? Oh, they talk shit about each other. Absolutely. Of course. But publicly, it's like, oh, my God, you look so hot here. And, yeah, she doesn't look that hot.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Fire, fire, fire. I like looks okay. The tried and true, when a girl posts a happy birthday to her friend story, and she looks hotter than her friend's birthday. Oh, that's the move. Yeah. That's the move. Yeah, I'm going to pick out the hottest, the pictures of us, where I look really, really hot just to wish you a happy birthday. But really, it's just about me.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Happy birthday, Stacey. Yeah. There's a Stacey out there. Yeah, thanks. Are you going to reinstate your gram that you may have archived? I don't know. I'm trying to. I'm getting in better shape before.
Starting point is 00:05:03 I might just post a brand new one a little bit okay I don't have one like in the hopper I hit I hit Zildjian for a walk and
Starting point is 00:05:13 that's awesome dude it's part of your stand up and walk initiative thank you Dave I hit Zildjian for a walk and we we were checking out
Starting point is 00:05:22 the volleyball courts those things are those things are popping. We should get some volleyball going. I apologize for the noise. It sounded like the inside of a 737. It really did. Like while you're loading the plane. Here's the thing about those volleyball courts.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I have a volleyball court across the street. Oh, really? Yes. But the nearest body of water, which is Barton Springs, it's not close enough. It's really hot out there. Oh, I see. And I just can't handle that kind of heat, man. Got it.
Starting point is 00:05:53 I need to take a dip. We could get a long hose and do a sprinkler. We could run Frolic through it. Yeah. Perhaps. I like the swirly one that's the one I've been doing my lawn with it's like the tube man where it's just all over the place
Starting point is 00:06:10 it just spins and it has like three little arms and it just does like a it looks like a little tornado of water it's pretty sick actually I have an irrigation system so it's like whatever you know I just hit a button you should probably mow your lawn with like an electric lawnmower too this is why people don't gas you up on your grams.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Oh, man. Anyway. Yeah, so sorry for being late this morning, guys. I did have to pull that move, though. It's buy two, get one Celsius. You were five minutes late, and we don't typically record until like 45 minutes after we get here, so you're fine. Let's just buy a case of the Celsius and put it in the fridge. Our fridge is hoisting Waterloo.
Starting point is 00:06:45 We need to add your energy drink so you don't have to go pick them up each day. Non-spot. It does. This is the watermelon version. The only way I can describe the taste is Lucky Charms marshmallows. That does not sound enticing. If you can imagine. That sounds pleasing, but not in a beverage form.
Starting point is 00:07:04 No, it's. Maybe more in a cereal. The texture of those marshmallows ruined that cereal for me as a kid. It feels cheap. It feels like a cheap marshmallow. Like, if you bite down into a marshmallow, it makes me, like, my skin crawl a little bit. And specifically Lucky Charms? Or are you talking marshmallows, period?
Starting point is 00:07:22 Just those. I'm a big texture guy when it comes to food a lot of Textures just turn me away. Mm-hmm, and that's definitely one of them. Yeah Even when they did like soggy and milky. Yeah, the freeze-dried doesn't doesn't do it for you No, I'm out on it. You ever do like the astronaut food astronaut. Yeah, we we did a NASA field trip. Oh, I was a kid, and we got to try all that crazy shit. It's wild. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:07:47 That reminds me of the Lucky Charm. For sure. For sure. That's a good call. The freeze, whatever it is. Dave's never been to NASA. Dave, you go to space? I've been to NASA.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Never been to NASA, dude. Yeah, I have. Oh, okay. I saw the Moon Rover. That's cool. You remember, did you guys ever do the model rockets in school? Yeah, I remember it actually pretty vividly. We went out to the football field.
Starting point is 00:08:09 It was like seventh grade, science class. And, like, all the science classes were out there, and everybody did their rockets. You pump them? Ours were pump ones. So they were, like, pressure. I guess CO2 rockets. No, ours, they were not going to let us fuck with CO2 rockets.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Dude, we had the. Ours were just manual pump. We had the, remember the SDs, little engines that literally had rocket fuel in them? Yeah, who's hosting those this year? We would do that, though. And then they would go up like 600 feet. 600 feet? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Oh, yeah. You had to get a permit to fly that high oh yeah these days post 9-11 and then like fucking jimmy's parachute wouldn't open it would come down and oh so like you could you reuse the rocket you could reuse the uh the the outside of the rocket but you probably usually you usually had to replace the parachute what launched it so just like a it was you put it on like a there's a big a stick coming out of the ground with like a metal launch pad and they're probably you know a foot and a half tall and you had this little rocket engine with solid rocket propellant in there and there was like a
Starting point is 00:09:16 like a grill igniter type of thing that sparked it oh yeah they weren't gonna let us they weren't gonna let us have that. Someone would have weaponized the rocket. Next thing you know, it's like going over to the tennis courts and taking out some people. Just tip it over. Yeah, in hindsight, I'm shocked they allowed an entire woodshop class to do that. Oh, the shop boys. Yeah, well, I think it was called engineering or something. Because we made hovercrafts.
Starting point is 00:09:46 We made model rockets. Rube Goldberg machines. What? Shouts to Saratoga. Did you go to school in the future? Fuck. It was tight. We did none of that.
Starting point is 00:09:56 It was awesome. Yeah, we had a lot of fun with that. We did the CO2 cars. When you put that CO2 cartridge like you have in a BB gun or something. And you just poke it and the cars fucking fly. doesn't matter how aerodynamic your your high school experience is way way that was seventh grade seventh grade yeah jeez oh pete you know hey what's this dave anecdote that's on the rundown dylan doesn't want to talk model cars and rockets anymore he lost the pinewood derby in 97 he's like done with it dude don, don't. I lost the Pinewood Derby. We did the roller, was it?
Starting point is 00:10:26 Roller Derby. Boxcar. Not roller. Boxcar Derby in college. Yeah. We won all the time. We did. We had a good, what do you call them?
Starting point is 00:10:37 Vehicle? Boxcar? Boxcar. I guess. I think it was fast. Who was the band Boxcar Racer? Wasn't that like a Blink-182 side project? Yeah. Telling what you wouldn't know. I think it was fast. It was the band Boxcar Racer. Wasn't that like a Blink-182 side project? Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Dylan, you wouldn't know. I think it has like Travis on it or something. Yeah, this is a – Dude, get to your anecdote. This is a little thing that happened to me yesterday. And grand scheme, this is not that big of a deal. It chucked us up to Dave's minor inconvenience of the week. So, golf courses in Austin, the city ones, are closed until I believe August 8th. But it chalked us up to Dave's minor inconvenience of the week.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So golf courses in Austin, the city ones, are closed until, I believe, August 8th due to the ongoing global pandemic. Sure, I've heard about it. You've heard about it. You guys seen this? And so I'm like, well, I've got to practice. I want to go out. I had some time late afternoon yesterday. I was like, I'm going to go do this do this so i called uh wolf dancer which is in
Starting point is 00:11:25 bass drop about 35 minutes east of here straight shot down 71 real easy to get to called out there you know it's a resort and they but they have a very nice course and they'll let pretty much it's a semi-private deal but they'll let people go out there and the girl told me yeah yeah yeah it's open all right cool i drive out there and parking lot there's like three cars like two of them look like maintenance trucks i'm like oh cool i get my bag go up there you know it's hot hot as fuck actually walking over i realize it's completely closed so So I'm like, okay. It's like, all right, well, there's a putting green out here. I'm going to go chip and putt.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I go down there. The putting green has been treated with something. There's like sand all over it. So I was like, okay, well, I'm here. So I just putted on a sandy practice green for about 30 minutes yesterday. About 40 minutes away from your house. Yeah, and then drove home. And I was just like, well, that was just a colossal waste of gas.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Yeah, in time. This poor kid, apparently they're still playing some kind of amateur tournament out there today. This kid walks up. He's got a Missouri State golf bag. And he looked at me. He goes, course is closed, isn't it? I was like, yep. He goes, yeah, we've got a tournament here tomorrow,
Starting point is 00:12:47 and I've never even walked the course. I was wanting to get a practice round in. I was like, dude, that sucks. I was like, I wish I could tell you about the course, just know that it's difficult. And I was like, you could probably go walk it, because nobody said anything to me for being on the putting green. People were driving by looking at me, me confused, but no one stopped.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I completely expected someone to tell me to leave, but nobody did. But that's a course you don't walk. You played wolf dancer. I have. First time you played here. Yeah, first time. There's that range that goes right into a shooting range. Yeah, there's skeet shooting down there.
Starting point is 00:13:22 So you're hitting balls, and there's just 12-gators in your grill. That's the kind of environment I want to be in, yeah. That's tight. Yeah, it's not the right set. You're going to hit the wrong button. Yeah, that's the noise. I've got the Tim Toolman 1200. Did you confront the person who told you that it was open?
Starting point is 00:13:43 She just made a mistake. I called back, and I was like, so you're not open, and a different guy answered. He's like, who told you that it was open she just made a mistake i called back and i was like so you're not open and a different guy answered he's like who told you that i was like it's fine that's too bad i mean i'm already here when did the uh i didn't know the courses closed down i mean we were playing them relatively the 24th they closed down so i guess last week oh shit damn i missed that so i missed that too i checked out golf atx you know people call this atx austin texas sure um missed opportunity on the airport you gotta think to be atx as the three digit three letter is pretty strong though aus austin bergstrom is
Starting point is 00:14:20 just kind of a mouthful berg what's bergstrom who Who is Mr. Bergstrom? It used to be a base, a military base. Oh, right, right, right. Bergstrom Air Force Base, I believe. Got it. I don't know who Bergstrom is, though, in person. Yeah. City courses will reopen Saturday, August 8th under the same modified operations prior to.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Wow. Cool. That's my minor inconvenience of the day. Saturday, August 8th, under the same modified operations prior to. So, wow. Cool. That's my minor inconvenience of the day. How'd you hit him, though? I rolled him. Okay. Actually, pretty good. I've been working on my stroke.
Starting point is 00:14:58 I've never changed my putting grip once in my life. I was thinking about going to the claw. I didn't try. Don't be a claw guy. Don't be a claw boy. They call me tight claw. You should anchor it to your chest, your stomach. Like an anchor.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Long putter. There's an anchor band. I know. Be a bad boy. Can you still do the nose height putters? You're not anchoring, but you're kind of like. As long as you don't anchor it to your body. You can anchor it to your forearm because a lot of guys do that, actually. Adam Scott still does.
Starting point is 00:15:32 Webb Simpson does. A version, I believe. Yeah, Webb does that. I hate how it looks, man. It looks bad, but. It's really, it makes me uneasy. He can roll it, though. He can.
Starting point is 00:15:42 He's a great player. Yeah. Adam Scott, he's still sitting out right he's just he's having none of this or can he not he can't travel to the u.s is that true idea i i think he he was a combination of like he didn't want to deal with the travel and he also was just like nah i got kids and family i live with he doesn't want to risk it i don't think he's played this year unless he's played in the you know the European or Australian tour Australia he played he played Bay Hill missed the cut that's too bad nice course though that was actually back in March so
Starting point is 00:16:13 was that the no that was the Arnold Palmer good thing this isn't the sports podcast no I'd be people would be mad if we were wrong about that, but we can get away with it here. I want to address something I was wrong about. The 3M Open is not at Hazeltine. You know, man, I must have missed it, but sometimes this podcast, we get a lot of good banter from correcting each other, but sometimes something like that, I don't want to jump in.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Not saying I even noticed it, but like, you know what I mean? It's like, actually, it wasn't there. It was actually. Right. What does that do? Yeah. Then you feel like a dick. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:16:52 Oh, sorry. And then it's just like interrupts the flow. Sometimes you just got to let it go. It's a, it's a, we have to choose. Pick our spots. That's fine. I'm going to wait for you to fuck something up like geographically. Royally.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Before I really hop in and just ruin it that's fine i think uh i by the way that the uh mariana trench i think i ended up getting that pretty pretty close it was about where it's located yeah i i knew the western pacific i didn't know if it was anywhere near the equator it's called the west pack got it it's deep that's the thing about it deepest place in the world sure yeah yeah did anybody come at you for your trillions of fish take no truly they left the fish alone did you see there was a great white shark attack off the coast of maine killed a girl whole big thing whole big thing off the coast she got got huh yeah. Maine. I feel like that's usually not much of a shark habitat.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Could be totally wrong on that. I would think that it is because cooler waters, but I'm not very well versed. Do they like it cold? The gray white? I thought they did. I thought they liked really, really cold water. I mean, I'm asking because I legit don't know. Here's the thing, Dave.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Shark week. That might not have even happened r.i.p to that girl though that i'm sure it's legitimate but it could be big shark you're saying that they staged a false flag shark death to promote the what is it the learning channel discovery, discovery channel? Discovery Channel. Shark Week. She gave her life for Shark Week promotion. I don't know. That's a tough way to go. Well, also. Think about getting eaten alive.
Starting point is 00:18:33 You know what I mean? Dude, the shark apparently, and I'm not trying to trivialize this, tossed her in the air. You know you see those videos of seals? How awful is that? Dude, imagine you're swimming along and then these teeth just sink into your body and you're just and you know you you know how much time left there were a couple kayakers out there that brought her back to shore oh it's like shout out to them i mean that's i've been out there in a kayak knowing that there's a great white like i wouldn't feel
Starting point is 00:18:58 safe in a kayak you think you just go numb when that shit happens like adrenaline takes over and you're just like you can't feel what's going on? Or you feel all the bone crushing? It's just bad. I think you go into shock. I think you probably... You know how people say if you fall to your death, you black out before you hit the ground? I think you die before you hit the ground.
Starting point is 00:19:21 What's the thing about a heart attack? Obviously it doesn't happen every time though, right? it's like an automatic heart attack you fall off something i apologize that i'm i'm sorry it's i don't believe it's a false flag discovery channel ploy anymore it's a 10 foot they're saying a 10 foot great white dude that note to self do not go into the waters off the coast of Maine due to great white shark risk. I don't want to go that way. I just don't. No.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Shark attack would be tough. It probably hits you with such force that it takes you out quick. If you get attacked by a big cat, by a shark, it's cool, but it's just not a fun way to go. This is the state's first ever fatal shark attack. Also, this woman was 63. 63? What? She was 63.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Oh, the woman. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sheesh. That's too bad. That is a bummer. R.I.P., man. I do want to visit Maine at some point. I've never even thought about being off the beaches of Maine.
Starting point is 00:20:28 I've always just wanted to go inland and the trees and be like, wow, these are seasons. Cool. They have some pretty cool rock structures up there. Pretty intense tides up in Maine. Fun stuff. L.L. Bean factory. I prefer Southern Tide. TFM. It is pretty fr up in Maine. Fun stuff. L.L. Bean Factory. I prefer Southern Tide. TFM.
Starting point is 00:20:47 That is pretty frat, yeah. Nice spot, though. Huge state. You don't really realize it. I guess down here. It's a very large state. Yeah. It's not compared to Texas.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Can I guess? It's like by land mass. I'm going to guess that it is the 11th biggest state. Who? 11th biggest? Which state? Based on landmass. Maine.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I could be way off. Is it like 25? It's like in the 30s. Oh, fuck. According to- What I mean is 11th on the eastern seaboard. East of the Mississippi. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:25 That's probably bigger than... What if Maine was just huge and just like a big swollen appendage? Like Florida? Here's the deal. 11 was generous. I'll acknowledge that. You talk about bad geography takes. That was a bad one.
Starting point is 00:21:41 It's 39, Dave. No, I was saying there's 50 states. 39. 50 minus 39 is 11. Right. You crushed it. Oh, the 11th. You guys were looking at it backward.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Yeah. Were we? Like in a mirror. You know, Texas is two, obviously. California, three. Montana, four. I wouldn't have said Montana in the top five. There they go, making me eat my words again
Starting point is 00:22:09 Anyway We have a new sponsor alert New sponsor Oh, new sponsor alert you say? New sponsor alert TheraOne CBD From tight muscles, tough workouts, signs of aging Simply making it through each busy day

Starting point is 00:25:28 I'm not saying that I'm generationally wealthy, but I'd like to be at some point in my life, right? That's why I read Fortune. Well, Mackenzie Scott, who we've gotten a lot of, we've talked about her from time to time. She is one of the richest people in the world, not just one of the richest women. But she is pledging to give away billions of dollars,
Starting point is 00:25:49 and I just feel like this is just the biggest flex you could do to your ex-husband, is just donate his money. Yeah. Donate the money that you got from the settlement, and now you look awesome, and you're just giving it away to awesome causes. This article also notes that she is worth approximately $35 billion. So while she is giving away $1.7 billion. By the way, that's a fuck ton of money.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That is very charitable. Props to her. $1.7 billion is a big number. There's like 1.7 billion fish in the sea. That's $1,700 million. If you want to look at it like that. If you want to go by how the other guy broke down the number of ants in the world. $1,700 million.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Can I ask a logistics question on that money real quick? Yeah, what's up? So, okay, divorce proceedings go through. Mackenzie and Jeff are no longer together. go through mackenzie and jeff are no longer together how exactly does she get one point or 30 billion dollars in her account is it a check is there like a wire transfer involved how does that happen because that has to be the biggest personal transfer of wealth from one person to another of all time um i i don't actually know i mean when i have been through a divorce where i had to split my assets um but it wasn't complicated i mean we we sold our house and we each just got
Starting point is 00:27:12 half of right what we made off the house and then she got half of my stock options which sorry dallas but those did not being worth too much. Half of my 401k. Basically, we just opened up another account for her, and I transferred half of it to her. That's how that worked. So 18 years. It's probably however you work it out, honestly. It's probably a case-by-case deal.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Gotcha. Let me just write you a check for $35 billion. I'm sure it didn't work that way. Obviously, a lot of it's tied up in stock. He actually wrote her like a big, like a comedically sized check, like you won a golf tournament in the mid-'90s. If the divorce was messy at all, maybe that's the – Or he sent it over in pennies. Oh.
Starting point is 00:27:59 How many pennies would that be? Don't even try. It's too many. Your brain will explode. Isn't it just 35 billion times 100 times 100 right what is that number it's in the it's in the trillion so you would need many many many trucks to hold on that coin how many don't cash up you it's it's 3.5 trillion pennies okay how many how many pennies in a dump truck i don't know here's the quote like many i
Starting point is 00:28:27 watched the first half of 2020 with a mixture of heartbreak and horror my own reflection after recent events revealed a dividend of privilege i'd been overlooking the attention i call to i can call to organizations and leaders driving change she wrote and that is why she donated that's that's a lot of money big time for her i still haven't slid into her dms by the way i don't know how it's gonna go try you you definitely should yeah if imagine if dylan like go the first date out of quarantine is with mackenzie mackenzie bezos just did like ramen you gotta think it's on the table hey you want to go to matt's all rancho mackenzie like it's this cool spot. She flies a PJ down here.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Here's the most biting part. Or she just buys us. Here's the most biting part. Scott is one of 210 millionaires and billionaires to sign the giving pledge. Co-signers include Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren Buffett, Steve and Gene Case, Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Conn, Sarah Blakely. As Jeff Bezos has not signed the pledge, Scott stands out for her decision
Starting point is 00:29:33 to promise significant philanthropy over her lifetime after separating her finances from her former husband. Jeff is not on the list. Your move, Jeff. He's naming an arena, though, the Climate Pledge Arena. That's him? Yeah. That's his deal?
Starting point is 00:29:48 Yeah, I think so. That's the new NHL. That's the Kraken, right? The Kraken house. More of that on... Too much dip. We did some Kraken talk last week. I don't know if you've checked that out.
Starting point is 00:30:01 I looked up how many pennies can fit in a dump truck. Hard to say. Yeah. No one's ever done that. And also, there's many different types of dump trucks. That's like when you guys interviewed me for this job. It was like, hey, how many ping pong balls fit in an airplane? And I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out.
Starting point is 00:30:20 You guys were just like, I don't give a fuck. I just wanted to ask you. She had dumps like a truck. Truck. Truck. Dives like what? What, what? Pennies in the truck.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Truck, truck. And like what? What, what? Baby movie, what? Cisco. Thong song. Yep. Thong, thong, thong.
Starting point is 00:30:37 No, no, Amazon is the company. Oh, okay. Gotcha. Yeah, I'm sure Jeff has has given money plenty of money but i just i it's being spun in this in this manner and you know what man good for her i like i like seeing people uh with a little corporate responsibility sure uh yeah and i i have no problem with people letting you know publicizing what they've donated because it just encourages other people to follow suit, you know?
Starting point is 00:31:09 Not me. I don't ever talk about it publicly. All the billions that you've donated to charity. How do you land on 1.7 versus, I don't know, 2? I'm sure there's an accountant that was notified and helped work with, you know, probably some tax breaks in there. Sure. Charitable givings.
Starting point is 00:31:27 For sure. You can deduct that. Oh, yeah. You deduct that. What if you write off more than you owe in taxes? You know what I'm saying? Like, say she ends up owing $930 million from the sale of whatever. Then they name a branch of Congress after you.
Starting point is 00:31:44 You basically just buy your naming rights. It's a tree? Mm-hmm. Okay. That's not accurate. No. I watched Dirty Grandpa last night, Dave. Okay, this is not...
Starting point is 00:31:57 Which one is that? This is not Johnny Knoxville. Not Johnny Knoxville. This is Robert De Niro and Zac Efron. The Johnny Knoxville one is one that I was like, I'm completely out on this. I will not watch this. This is the end of the CKY stuff for me. That was
Starting point is 00:32:11 he basically did one of the things in Jackass 3 was like the grandpa segment, right? And they were like, oh, let's spin this off. It was like when they thought Corky Romano was good enough as a skit to become a movie. Or, you know, I'm just thinking of different SN, um, as a skit to become a movie or, or,
Starting point is 00:32:25 you know, I'm just thinking of different SNL skits that got turned into something like a movie. And you're like, ah, he didn't need that. One of the, I mean,
Starting point is 00:32:32 not at the Roxbury, not at the round. I haven't seen it in a while. Don't know if it holds up. We'll check it in the stream room. I used to laugh at that one. That's a good skit. The movie,
Starting point is 00:32:41 the movie too. Movie's good. I haven't, I don't, I saw when it came out. I have not seen it in 17 years. Yeah.. Great skit. The movie, too. Movie's good. I saw it when it came out. I have not seen it in 17 years. Yeah, I remember that. Let's bring that back.
Starting point is 00:32:49 There's a really stupid scene that stands out to me as being funny. Will Ferrell's character, someone asked him if he's free on Friday night, and he's holding a day planner in his hand that he had brand new. He hadn't unwrapped it yet. He takes it out of the wrapping and opens up, and he says, I'm free because obviously it's brand new it made me laugh i like that you know it's pretty stupid like that it's really stupid so we had i completely forgot zach efron and robert de niro did a did a movie it's uh it's
Starting point is 00:33:16 it's a 2016 movie and it's shocking that it's not it has not been canceled. 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Wait, when you say canceled, do you mean like? There is some writing in it that would not fly today. Is the grandpa character like not PC? He'll say whatever. He's like your crazy uncle at Thanksgiving. He's the guy that goes on the golf course and teaches the lady how to swing by standing. Why would De Niro do this movie? I asked myself that probably 15 times while watching.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Does he have like a family member who directed it or something and he was just tossing him a bone? That's a big bone toss. Big bone. Director by Dan Mazur. I mean, hey, $25 million budget, made $105 at the box office. It worked. Wow. made 105 at the box office it worked wow but it is uh it is as the the language in that movie
Starting point is 00:34:08 is as raunchy as any movie that i've ever watched really it's de niro and efron is it so absurd that i need to watch it yes it's worth watching just to be like holy shit because i i'll admit i did laugh out loud more than probably any movie i've watched in the last five years okay that sounds like a pretty high praise very very funny moments and funny one-liners but like i can't endorse this movie as like oh like i'm gonna watch it again and again because it is some of the some of the scenes are horrendous, and the movie overall is horrendous. But, one line. This is pre-Baywatch Efron? I believe so.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Is he a yote Efron? Yeah, he's very, very yote. He's like a fucking kid. He's like cut yote in this one, though. Like vascular type of thing. Good for him. He's just doing it. You have to think, I mean, you have to to think that he there's a lot of shirtless
Starting point is 00:35:05 Efron in this movie okay Aubrey Plaza's in it and shirtless De Niro as well sure what's Aubrey Plaza doing um probably just living off the parts in wrecked cash is that enough to live off of I know this is a very successful show so yeah I'd say so yeah she's doing okay she's uh i mean i have not seen her she's funny she's weird but she's funny i'm trying to think was it one of y'all who said like she's your like top five for you in terms of like overall actress looks personality that sounds like a klein take no not that i did i mean she's very she's very gorgeous to me. She's just not top five. I don't know if I've ever given a top five, so it definitely wasn't me. No, she's not on my list.
Starting point is 00:35:51 I don't power rank. I do like her, though. It's not my style. Never have, never will. She went to Harvard. She went to NYU. A very good school. Still a good school.
Starting point is 00:35:59 In its own right. Yeah, very good school. Worth watching if you're bored on a Saturday. There are some very funny lines. but overall it's a throwaway. And you do find yourself saying, why did Robert De Niro make this movie? I mean, an icon of the generation. One of the greatest living actors of our time. Yep.
Starting point is 00:36:21 And to his credit, great movie. Great performance by him because he didn't have a lot to work with. Is it one that he would like back? Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:32 It's one of those that I'm sure he doesn't watch very much in his spare time. But you know what? 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'll give it at least 30. He has the family over and he's like, let's fire up Dirty Grandpa. I feel like the name was not significantly different enough from Bad Grandpa.
Starting point is 00:36:55 I don't know which one came first, but they should have. They got a pivot there. Yeah, you're not wrong. But it's one he'd like to have back. That being said, what's your mind-blowing fact of the week, Dave? That was your stream room. Yeah, that's my stream room. I was going to suggest it for you.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Shout out to a listener for DMing me this. You guys aware that the wickedly talented, the wickedly talented Idina Menzel was married. Do you know who she's married to? No. Jack Black. I wish Will was here and that's not a slight at Dylan
Starting point is 00:37:37 but Dylan may not know this reference. Does the name Dean Portman say anything to you or mean anything to you? One half of the Bash Brothers from Mighty Ducks 2. Okay. See? She's married to Dean Portman say anything to you or mean anything to you? One half of the Bash Brothers from Mighty Ducks 2. Okay. See?
Starting point is 00:37:48 She's married to Dean Portman. How did I not know that? What does he look like these days? What's his real name? Hard to say. Aaron Lohr. Aaron Lohr? Aaron Lohr, L-O-H-R.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Good enough looking dude. I do not know how it took this long for us we've been doing adina minzel bits for like a month and i we did not have this fun fact brought to our attention that's why i gotta give i gotta give props to uh steven rubel interesting wickedly talented couple really think about it was he your favorite bash brother um i'm not gonna lie i i don't i'm not familiar with that movie like i've seen it but it's been i don't know 25 years right you've seen this movie correct bash brothers negative no not that mighty dogs yes yes yes okay so i absolutely he's one
Starting point is 00:38:37 half of the bash brothers i'm asking you know what i haven't seen mighty ducks in probably 15 years dave so i know like Gordon Bombay. This is my fun fact of the week. Yeah. I thought it was going to be something. Wait. I figured you would be a Mighty Ducks stan. Are you just too young?
Starting point is 00:38:54 Yeah. You got the hockey thing? We definitely watched it. But like Miracle is my favorite hockey movie. And I'm more of a like what's the movie with, what's, Youngblood. Fantastic movie with Rob Lowe. But I've watched Mighty Ducks, obviously. Can't quote the movie, but certainly it's in the DVD.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Throw some Fs in the chat if you're with me. I still don't know what that means. I don't know either. It's frat. It means frat It doesn't I see people do it On many platforms away from ours
Starting point is 00:39:32 That it can't mean frat every time I'm so bummed that Okay I thought this was gonna be I thought this would be like A life altering story from Bond No it's cool I don't really care that much about Mighty Ducks.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And this is a no-name actor for me. Obviously, I didn't know. She's wickedly talented, though. She is wickedly talented, but her being married. Adina Menzel. It's interesting that she's married to the kid from Mighty Ducks, but it's not like. He ain't a kid anymore. No, he's a grown-ass man now.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Now that I see the name Adina Menzel in text. It's not wild. I don't know. I just don't understand how he came to that. Unless he just couldn't see. What is the nearsighted, farsighted? One of those. And he just didn't have the right contacts.
Starting point is 00:40:22 I think his brain just short-circuited for a sec there. He only had so much battery power left, and he used it to get the high-pitched wickedly talented. And then after that, it shut off. Dim Monzo. I walk around the house saying that. It's really annoying. Wickedly talented?
Starting point is 00:40:40 Then I'd just be like, I deem, I do. I mean, it's got to replace ted cruz you haven't he hasn't been over in a while it's too bad what do you mean he hasn't been over i feel like he's never been to my house he was over at your house all the time and your wife no he was oh okay you're right ted cruz still here well there is a time yeah there is a time. That was a Snapchat thing, right? It was a Snapchat. Were you following us then? I think so.
Starting point is 00:41:09 That was a long time ago. I think so. Oh, dude, I was pulled back the curtain. I was on the wall in like 2012, 2011. Would have been a senior in high school. TFM. What the fuck were you doing on the wall? Like the TFM wall. Oh, I thought you meant the show doing on the wall? The TFM wall.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Oh, I thought you meant the show that's executive produced by LeBron James. No, I'm a Holy Moly veteran. Oh, okay. I still haven't watched that. Is that any good? That's the Steph Curry one? Yeah. Holy Moly?
Starting point is 00:41:40 Yeah, wasn't your previous lady friend on that show? Yeah, Lauren was on the first one. Didn't they used to call you Holy Moly? No. Didn't happen. Or was it Holy Holy? Nothing with holy in it was ever part of my nickname. No, you like that song.
Starting point is 00:41:54 You are a godless liberal. Florida Georgia Line, holy. Right? I don't, I'm not familiar. I'm sorry. I don't even know that reference. I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't know. They are a terrible I'm sorry. I don't even know that reference. I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:05 They are a terrible, terrible, terrible group. The Line Brothers? Yeah. Somebody made that joke before me. Oh, it was our friends at KB at Barstool. Very, very funny kid. Brett, I got to tell you, the entire line of humor that's gone on the last 35 seconds,
Starting point is 00:42:25 I don't know the references. That's okay. I'll bail. No, the entire line of humor that's gone on the last 35 seconds, I don't know the references. That's okay. I'll bail. No, no, it's not that. I've never felt so lost. Hey, since we're pacing for about three. I also thought Maine was very, very large. Since we're pacing for three hours here, we should probably get to our second read.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Which is bird dogs. Which is bird dogs. Of which I'm wearing some right this very second. Great way to transition. Dave, you like bird dogs. I like them so much I worked on them two days ago. No shit. That's how much I like them.
Starting point is 00:42:52 What are they? Gym shorts with a built-in silky soft inner liner that makes underwear obsolete. Does that answer your question? Oh, they also make the best pants I've ever worn, though, too. Does that answer your question? Well, I thought Dylan was the pants guy. I'm both. Get you a guy who can do both yeah well i'm pretty sure you didn't say anything in that commercial dave it was just me so well that's because you play by their rules i don't i was freestyling off the dome oh shit well tell us about them dylan tell
Starting point is 00:43:20 us about the pants how comfortable are they uh they they are super comfortable so um i have like a competing brand that i just do not wear anymore because they're so the liner is so constricting i can't do it man these are so comfortable um i swim in them i work out in them they're fantastic i saw you swimming in the pants one time i thought that was interesting uh no just the shorts okay they do dry though you probably could you could they dry they dry wickedly fast they do honestly they're all noticed that after i sweat a lot work out in the garage i'm a sweat boy they're drying like 25 minutes i've had friends reach out like hey i saw your commercial uh the shorts were that tight i'm like yeah they're really that tight i love them i thought you were gonna do the line from the commercial they're my golf pants my golf pants and my happy hour pants.
Starting point is 00:44:05 See, Dylan just plays the hits. He gives them what they want. He's brand safe. Go to birddogs.com, folks. Enter promo code STEAM. Birddogs.com, promo code STEAM. We'll throw in a free bird dog's face mask. Brett says here it's like a condom but for your mouth.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Huh. You'll get a free bird dog's face mask along with your pair of bird dogs. They're actually very quality masks. They feel like your auntie or auntie sewed it just for you. Are you an aunt guy or an aunt guy? I think it depends. I think I'm going over to my aunt's house, but Aunt Tracy. See, I'm aunt all around.
Starting point is 00:44:42 I might be aunt all around, too. I'm a big aunt guy. No, aunt felt weird aunt feels like very like i have a house in maine it's a rather large state but apparently not that large that's how people up there would maybe talk hypothetically birddogs.com promo code steam and boom free face mask got your bird dogs that's a nice package to receive yeah check it out i highly recommend i really do oh they sent me some navy blue ones they're a little bit shorter they double as a great swimsuit they're running around the neighborhood in them a little bit
Starting point is 00:45:15 getting a lot of looks next time you do let me know i'm gonna come through with a lawn chair and just watch you do your thing if that's cool you want to watch me run around the neighborhood yeah pop top typically too right yeah see how would you do that from the lawn chair though you'd have to move likely there's a mobile lawn chair i'm just gonna ask him to just do the block a few times it's all past you like in theory like three or four times yeah that's enough anyway what's up with this ufo shit i just the transition dylan is on fire today apparently i don't know if there's any new information here with the ufos but it's it's hot on the internet right now so we have to talk
Starting point is 00:45:49 about it they made a powerpoint slide uh okay who's they pentagon the pentagon okay five new york times published an article so they broke the um the ufo story like a year ago or something basically saying like oh yeah there's these these unidentified crafts that are entering our atmosphere. They confirmed their existence. They did. They did. Which, I mean, I think most people have looked at the evidence like we have. They have made that conclusion as well.
Starting point is 00:46:18 So they're kind of just going over that. They outline like the Navy pilots. That's who had like the close encounters with them but apparently the pentagon has been briefing members of congress via powerpoint slide and um i i could not get past the fact that the pentagon is just using the most basic form of presentation software and i i thought maybe they'd have something proprietary i was hoping that right something cool maybe they could do like a hologram or they just have something proprietary. I was hoping that. Right. Something cool. Maybe they could do like a hologram or they just have like, I don't know, anything other than this. It says the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:56 That's too much. It's a mouthful. They're saying that it's twofold. The nature of threat is twofold. There's a current threat, AAV phenomena, foreign derivation. Is that right? Yeah, you know. Including off-world, being globally deployed, tested, including in Kona. See, I'm reading a bunch of shit. Nobody knows what it is.
Starting point is 00:47:13 That is a current threat. That's the current threat. That's scary. This is the scariest part. How recent is this information? Yesterday, right? This is yesterday's story. Future threat. Potential terrestrial adversaries achieving significant breakthroughs in the development of game-changing disruptive technologies based on evaluations of AAV phenomena from sensor data or crash-retrieved materials.
Starting point is 00:47:36 So, wait, what's that mean? They've retrieved a crash? Like a craft that they've crashed? Yeah, that's part of the whole recent revelation is that they've confirmed like having parts of actual craft which we i think they've had for decades and decades but now that you know there's some confirmation of it which is told roswell was a weather balloon that's what we were told and now have... Basically, they're saying a craft crashed in a foreign area, and they now have the ability to reverse engineer that.
Starting point is 00:48:11 The phrase terrestrial adversary doesn't sound great. No. That doesn't sound comforting. But, man, 2020 is just full of surprises. I will say it's better than potential extraterrestrial adversary. Because that would indicate. Well, you don't want Russia or China getting this tech. No.
Starting point is 00:48:30 I don't want the French getting this tech. It's game-changing and disruptive per this slide. You have to think it was leaked on purpose. They always leak this stuff on purpose. Very vague saying they, but still, I stand by it. Has our friend Mr. Lazar been up to anything lately i think no i think he's keeping a low pro still rogan did a pod a couple weeks ago with um the guy who directed and produced the lazar special on netflix jeremy well that guy stinks he's awful you don't like him he's hard to listen to oh yeah he's a little
Starting point is 00:49:04 bit like he sounds kooky yeah yeah but he's actually a pretty good pod it was it was him and um the investigative journalist that's been covering all his horror stories since the 80s worth the listen worth the listening you're you know you got the big road trip today right i have uh 28 hours over the next two days good god God. Yeah. So, UFOs are real. I think that's what we can learn. Yeah, and I don't think it's anything that crazy. I mean, we knew that. It's just
Starting point is 00:49:31 Pentagon briefing Congress on this stuff and somehow leaking PowerPoint slides, which I'm not a PowerPoint guy, but this does look like something I would have done in an intro to marketing presentation. Yeah, they used gradient like we're in eighth grade. Actually, does it kind of look like it was a PDF that was scanned
Starting point is 00:49:51 now that I'm really looking at it? The coloring is off, like the lighting towards the corners. Yep, yep. Dylan, how far did you punt in Alien? See, the big question is what do they look like? How big are they? I don't know. Alien Twitter was the most fun I've had on Twitter in five years.
Starting point is 00:50:06 If you believe Bob Lazar, they're about like two or three feet tall. Based on the crafts he worked on. Based on, yeah. Like he couldn't barely fit inside the UFO. That's right. And they say there's like no controls in it. It's just, it was like a flat surface. Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:50:24 That creeps me out. Shit's wild. If you haven't listened to just, it was like a flat surface. Yeah, pretty much. That doesn't creep me out. Shit's wild. If you haven't listened to Bubba's podcast yet, the Joe Rogan episode, it's, even if you're totally against this shit, it's just wildly entertaining. I tried to get him on Happy Hour. He didn't come through. He wasn't into it? No.
Starting point is 00:50:38 I don't know how that would have gone. Yeah. I mean, I respect that you tried to get the big name guests, but that could have been awkward. Yeah, I mean I respect that you try to get the big-name guests, but that could have been awkward and then we have confirmation to that of Navy pilots spotting UFOs yeah, that was the original New York Times story like a year or two ago, right? Okay? Okay? That's the two years those videos are wild. Yeah, I mean those things are as they defy physics crafts
Starting point is 00:51:01 Yeah, that's that's probably the yeah Just point yeah bubbles ours big tangles like you had the stuff that we've discovered in these crafts are not known to mankind. Like the technology does not exist in our world. And they were trying to reverse engineer it and figure out how things worked, and they just can't do it. I've been trying to reverse engineer a podcast. I'm going to reverse engineer my fist to your face. So you're going to remove – how does that work? I don't know. I'll find a
Starting point is 00:51:26 way. That would mean your fist was already in my face and it's not. You have short arms. Anyway. You do have short arms. Admit it. I don't have short arms, dude. Do you have short arms? No. My arms are tight. I mean, they're tight arms. My arms are very proportionate to my body.
Starting point is 00:51:42 I mean, a lot of people have been like, dude, what's up with Dylan's arms? Like he's got muscle on them, but they're just short. What's your hand size? I have big body. I mean, a lot of people have been like, dude, what's up with Dylan's arms? Oh, here we go. Like, he's got muscle on them, but they're just short. What's your hand size? I have big hands. Can you palm a ball? Yeah. That's a pretty big hand.
Starting point is 00:51:51 I can't do that, man. Mine are small. I'm not even going to do it. I have big palms. My palms are too big for my hand. A little bear paw ass over here? Yeah. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Do you ever palm bomb nerds? Sort of shove somebody's face? That's rude, man. That's real rude. You were stuffing nerds in the lock shove somebody's face? That's rude, man. That's real rude. You were stuffing nerds in the lockers. You've put hands in someone's face. It leads to fists. You know?
Starting point is 00:52:11 Don't put your hand in my face. Yes, it is. Yeah, let me just... Don't touch my... That's where I draw the line. Just don't touch my face. Dude, I am... That is a thing that bothers me.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Anybody touching my face. Oh, me too. Don't... It like... Me too. It gets me like Adrian Beltre with the head
Starting point is 00:52:29 can you diff whatever Dave just did Randy yeah he hates that shit oh man dude Dave just hit the whoa no you touched my face anyway
Starting point is 00:52:39 I'm so in on anything alien related these days yeah it's super interesting you heard of Level, Dylan? Level? Yeah. It's an outlet posting on Medium.com.
Starting point is 00:52:52 They came out with a list, and the list is, who's having the best rap career after 40? Nice. So, Dylan, this is a story that you are a big fan of hip-hop. I'm under 40, if that's what you're getting at. No, no, that's not even where I'm going. Okay. I'm just saying you like a lot of the old school stuff.
Starting point is 00:53:11 I sure do, yeah. So this is rap careers 40 and on, not like guys who are 40. So like their careers since they turned 40. Right. Like they've produced significant, relevant music after that age. Correct. Yes. That is...
Starting point is 00:53:28 And are still currently alive, too, I believe. And they are alive. Yes. Which I was surprised to learn before this podcast that Biggie was 24 when he was murdered. R.I.P. One of the goats. And Tupac was 25 when he was murdered. Are you sure it was 25?
Starting point is 00:53:42 I thought it was 27. No, it was 25. Weren't we saying it was 27 Club? I'm a biggie guy. Randy was talking the 27 club. Randy, Randy's over here confusing my ass. I am. East Coast?
Starting point is 00:53:52 Biggie, biggie, biggie. Can't you see? I was a fan of both. Vizzy, Vizzy, Vizzy. Oh, I was a fan of both, but I was a biggie guy if I had to pick a team. Jay-Z's got to be number one. Jay-Z, Snoop, Dre are the three that come to mind. You're correct.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Jay-Z has the number one spot. Number two may surprise some people. Shouts to Detroit, Roysta59 at number two. Roysta59? Yeah, Roysta59. Never heard that name in my life. He's known for his skills as an emcee. No, he was past 40.
Starting point is 00:54:26 He's 43, and he's released... Wait. Eminem is also another Detroit guy. Is he on here? He is. So it's interesting that Eminem is number seven. You could argue that he hasn't done anything that's been good in a very long time.
Starting point is 00:54:40 The best song he's released... Some would argue that he's never done anything good. A lot of people would argue. He gets a lot of hate on Twitter. Eminem's, it's number seven. Here's the Snoop thing. Snoop is 19. Yeah, but what has he done for me lately?
Starting point is 00:54:57 He's 48 years old, says he's released 18 projects after 40. Best project he's released being Bush. 18 projects? That doesn't mean albums, obviously. He red he's released being Bush. 18 projects? Does that mean, that doesn't mean albums, obviously. He redid Glycerine.
Starting point is 00:55:09 He just did the entire 16 Stone album. The Bush song? I don't think he did. Glycerine. People forget, I saw Snoop perform in Augusta when I was there
Starting point is 00:55:18 for the Masters. At Hooters, right? No, not at Hooters. Quick tangent. Worth noting, not only did the Chainsmokers do that show in the Hamptonsons it's getting all the blowback they also did the um players championship uh party oh yeah pre-tournament party like right when like everything was shutting down but they played like
Starting point is 00:55:40 the the first day of the uh the players. The Chainsmokers, they've got a little something to say about this. The history of COVID America cannot be written without the Chainsmokers. You know what? That makes me happy. They just fucking stink. Dude, they stink. I tried to dig up the old Will interview, by the way, the Chainsmokers interview we did on the EDM cruise.
Starting point is 00:56:05 I could not find the video anywhere. Hopefully he has it. Since they were trending, it would have been a funny time to re-promote that one. It's so funny. It really is funny. Have you ever seen that one, Brett? No, I haven't.
Starting point is 00:56:18 We were on the beach. Is this the EDM cruise? Yes, but we were on a beach during they performed, and we had media access, so we got to, quote, unquote, interview them. And Will walks up, forgets to turn on the microphone, starts interviewing the bigger guy. I don't know his name. Not Drew.
Starting point is 00:56:41 Alex? I think it's Cole. It doesn't matter. Cole Tyler. And it's really loud there he asked him a question he can't really hear very well he starts to answer like yelling at will because it's so loud and then rachel page is there who used to work for us at the time she distracts him he starts talking to her he just completely completely just ignores will will just
Starting point is 00:56:59 like those hands like i'm out of here and just walks away we didn't get any audio it's the best it's one of the better reactions you'll ever see it's like a 12'm out of here, and just walks away. We didn't get any audio from him. It's one of the better reactions you'll ever see. It's like a 12-second video, but it's really funny. I would love to know what Will was going in with. Because you know Will has a connection to them. Yeah. Really? He did some graphic design work. A buddy of his.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Or something. A buddy of his. Or maybe it was Will. Yeah. The Chainsmokers used to have a different guy. It wasn't always the two. Or maybe it was Will. Yeah. The Chainsmokers used to have a different guy. It wasn't always the two. It was the main DJ guy and a different dude, I think.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Right. Never mind. I don't know their name. Insert name that's on a chalkboard in an Instagram photo. You know what I'm talking about. And Will had a connection. And Will thought he was going to get this interview and crush it. He did get the interview. It ended up being better than anything
Starting point is 00:57:48 he could have gotten from them. That's perfect. Because we got a lot of miles out of that. Sorry for that tangent. Syracuse grad, I believe. Really? Yeah. Maybe both of them, but definitely one of them.
Starting point is 00:57:58 I saw him at ACL. It was a pretty fun show. This was many years ago. It wasn't in the midst of a global pandemic. They sing that song, Closer, right? Yeah. When Drew started singing, when he added his own
Starting point is 00:58:13 lyrics to their music, they just went to absolute shit because the guy can't carry a note to save his life. One of the worst voices that's ever performed. I don't know why he ruined them. The Chainsmokers, they're under 40 40 right they're in the forbes 40 under 40. so they're they on this they're not they didn't make the they didn't make the list they're also any other notable names um is dre on here kanye's on there sorry i closed out i thought
Starting point is 00:58:38 we were life of pablo was post 40. right t-lop life of p, I mean, you can't say a bad thing about it. It's my favorite album of his. Puff Daddy checks in at 40. Bustas, 38. Juicy J, 37. I don't know many.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Missy Elliott's on this list, 31. Iconic. Yeah, iconic rapper. Andre 3000, 30. I call him 30 stacks.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Kanye, 29. Method Man, 28. Can you give us a quick top 10? Yep. Checking in at number 10 is LP. Oh, yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:59:15 One half of RTJ. Number 9, Styles P. Styles P, Jadakiss. Number 8, Rick Ross. Made Back Music. 7, Evan M. 6, Ghostface, Killa, who I thought was dead.. Number eight, Rick Ross. Made Back Music. Seven, Evan M. Six, Ghostface, Killa. Who I thought was dead.
Starting point is 00:59:28 I'm sorry, Ghostface. Why did you think he was dead? I thought there was like an RIP Ghostface Twitter trend in 2018 for something. Oh. Did he get canceled maybe? I don't think so. Hard to say. ODB is the member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Starting point is 00:59:41 He's no longer with us. Number five, Killer Mike. The other half, Farty J. Also run the jewels. Number four, Black Thought. Roots Band. Yep. Three, Pusha T.
Starting point is 00:59:53 Yeah. Remember that battle he had with Drake? He took the gloves off. He might have some beef with the Yonk Dog right now. He took the gloves off. Number two, RoyceDa the young dog right now. He took the gloves off. Yeah. Number two, Royce to 5'9". I wonder if he's 5'9", actually.
Starting point is 01:00:09 That's just a roster. He exposed that Drake was a father. Yeah. He really went for the jugular. I'm Dave to 5'9", for the record. Oh, shit. That's tight. That's kind of tight.
Starting point is 01:00:20 I am 5'9". I flirt with 5'10", though. It depends on what I'm wearing that day and how much stretching I've done. And Jay-Z, number one. All right. Good stuff. Guys, can we talk HIMS? HIMS.
Starting point is 01:00:32 I'd love to talk HIMS. 4hims.com, that is. It's all about men's wellness. Need help with hair loss, erectile dysfunction, or have a cold? Interested in mental health or COVID-19 home tests? HIMS is here for you uh i feel like everybody on this show right now has used hymns right i started uh when i was 21 you've been you've probably maybe been using hymns longer than dylan or i like you you were day one that's probably why you have such good lettuce thank you uh you know like the challenge
Starting point is 01:01:03 is like you don't want to go to a doctor if If you're losing your hair, you have some ED issue. It's embarrassing. You have to go, you have to, maybe you have to get a referral to go to that doctor. I don't know. Maybe you have to talk to the receptionist and it makes you uncomfortable because she knows, you know, you're there because you're balding. That's awkward. 66% of men start to lose their hair by age 35. Okay. So a lot of people are dealing with this how about you just deal with hymns for hymns.com just do it that way it's time to to prevent more hair loss there's no better time than while you still have some the brett method is what i call it preventative yeah yeah prevent defense so it prevent defense i like that a lot yep anyone can make claims for treating hair loss but if you're not happy after 90 days, just email HIMSS for a full refund.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Thanks to science, hair loss can be optional. Connects you to FDA-approved products to treat hair loss. This is stuff you could go to see a doctor about. How about you just go to 4himss.com, FDA-approved products, treating hair loss, ED, all that stuff. Time at home is an opportunity for self-care. Starting point is 01:02:12 I've done this. Dylan's done this. Brett's done this. Check it out. I honestly can't thank HIMS enough. I don't know where I'd be today without them. I mean, look at the flow on this. Literally.
Starting point is 01:02:20 It's almost insulting how much flow you have right now. I hate you. Voluminous. It is. And they've got, listen to this. I hate you. Voluminous. It is. And they've got, listen to this. Check this out, Brett. Take advantage of this. 4hims.com slash steam.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Because you can get your first visit. It won't be your first, so this doesn't apply to you. But your first visit, absolutely free. 4hims.com slash steam. That's 4hims.com slash steam. Disclaimer. Full refund of price paid available for the first 90 days supply. Refund requests must be made between 90 and 180 days after the product shipment delivered.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Prescription products require an online consultation with medical professionals who will determine if a prescription is appropriate. Restrictions apply. See the website, 4hims.com, for full details. I have two. This is not quite breaking news, Dave and Dylan. Two, why are they trending, though? First being Paul Rudd is trending on Twitter right now.
Starting point is 01:03:13 So when you see somebody trending, you're like, oh, shit, what happened to Paul Rudd? I wish I was going in blind, but I, too, saw this trending this morning, so I had to check it out. Yeah. Hoping he was okay. What'd you find? Turns out people are just— He's just hot? Just saying, like, yeah, by the way, just a reminder, Paul Rudd's a hot out. What did you find? Turns out people are just saying, by the way, just a reminder, Paul Rudd's a hot man.
Starting point is 01:03:28 And I totally agree. Hot dude. Plays the same character in every single movie. Aging very well. He's one of those, if you look at Paul Rudd 2001, it's the same person as Paul Rudd 2020. He's a stud, man. So shouts to Paul Rudd.
Starting point is 01:03:43 I think most get a little nervous when you see somebody trending, like a name like that. You're like, oh, what happened? What'd he do? I hope he's okay. I hope he doesn't have some kind of life-debilitating disease. He doesn't. He's just hot.
Starting point is 01:03:58 Just hot. He's just a hot dude, apparently. Twitter does need a function that's like, if somebody died, they need like a, they need to do something so that, you know, and they're trending. I used to really like the trending what's happening stuff,
Starting point is 01:04:14 but it's, it's become so clogged up with promoted trends and like stuff that I can't tell. Like, you know, you're not a Wednesday thoughts guy. No, I don't need that.
Starting point is 01:04:23 I just look for the Denzel gift. Never. trending someone where he goes huh he's no he's like he's in he's showing like he's relieved I think it's a huh yeah yeah I was trying to do the one you did a terrible job of mimicking and that's why I was thrown off but yeah that's the one that did you see if someone dropped Denzel that means they've done their homework and realize that he's you know where they're talking about that's the if you That did suck. Because if you see, if someone dropped Denzel, that means they've done their homework and realized that he's, what were they talking about? When you click the trend, if that's the top thing you see, you're like, okay. Oh, he's good.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Paul's good. Yeah. I just did it too. Why is Kodak trending? You're a fan of pivots, right, Dave, in business and otherwise? I love pivoting. They pivoted. Kodak is now making medical supplies or helping with medical production.
Starting point is 01:05:07 I did see this trending, and I was like, there's no way it's the same Kodak because I thought that was one of those stories. Every now and then they're like, look at all the Fortune 500 companies that aren't around anymore. The film company. The games passed them by. They have pivoted. Shout out to them. I have no significant financial interest in them. I have to disclose that.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Well, you should, Dave, because they're up 324% today. We missed that wave. Their stock this morning, Dylan, was $8. It's not $33. Why didn't you tell me to get in on that early? That's up 400% then. Aren't you the stock guy? Yeah. Why didn't you tell me to get in on that early? That's up 400% then. Aren't you the stock guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:48 I didn't know they were pivoting. Shouts to Grandpa Merriman. He rest in peace. He was a Kodak guy back in the day in the Middle East and Asia sphere. He was like their director of manufacturing and sales back then. Oh, man. I guess I got the percentage wrong. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Close. Sorry. We got some things wrong. It doesn't matter. Close. Sorry. We've gotten some things wrong today. It's fine. Yeah, he was out there doing the damn thing for Kodak. They missed the pivot, the first pivot though,
Starting point is 01:06:13 to digital cameras. They just decided to keep making film in like the 80s and kind of went. Yeah, they missed that one. Yeah. So,
Starting point is 01:06:22 it's a Kodak moment. Remember that? That was the thing people said. So now what are they making? Medical supplies. Medical one. It's a Kodak moment. Remember that? That was the thing people said. Sure. So now what are they making? Medical supplies. That's cool. Yeah, they got a loan to make medicines and devices
Starting point is 01:06:34 that would help in the fight against COVID-19. Wow, the ongoing global pandemic. The ongoing global pandemic. So shouts to Kodak. Good for them. I should check. I think Pop Pop has some stocks laying around still. You should probably check on that.
Starting point is 01:06:56 You might be like an overnight, I don't know, billionaire with a B. Pop Pop from Arrested Development? No, Pop Pop, like Grandpa Merriman. Okay. How about your aunt? Does she have any? Likely the entire Merriman side of the family should be checking their portfolios today. I'm going to check mine when I get home just to make sure.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Dylan, I'm sure you won't. Probably don't even know how. Freak. I have my investments tied up in something that's not up 300% or wherever the hell it is. My BTS is up six on the year. Percent? It's a pretty good return. I knew it was.
Starting point is 01:07:32 It's a long-term play. It's a safe bet, though. I mean, I'm holding on to it. It's not volatile, but it'll get you there. You know what else is a safe bet? Miller High Life. Let's do This Weekend in Fun. Miller High Life presented by Miller High Life. Brings pride to the simple things in life.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Unpretentious quality beer. It's my go-to part beer. Look, it's just a good quality beer, people. Accessible to all. What more do you want? Iconic glass bottle. I've been drinking the cans. I got the special edition cans.
Starting point is 01:08:00 I've been getting a lot of looks at the park with that. You're a sucker for just a sexy bottle or can. Starting point is 01:09:18 I'm going to be in the Totes this weekend, Dave. How long is that drive? I'm going 28 hours. I'm going to try to make it to Nashville tonight and then Nashville to Saratoga tomorrow. Okay. And so that's 28. And it's a lot of time to be spending in the car.
Starting point is 01:09:38 But when I get up there, I'm going to see the folks, play a lot of golf, see some friends. I have to drive because New York implements a two-week quarantine when you get there. And they enforce it. Okay. And so I would be at the airport, for example, to go back a week later. And they'd be like, no, you can't be here. Oh.
Starting point is 01:10:02 So I'm going to put some miles on the old jeep coming up you got any pods loaded up uh not yet i think i'm gonna do i think i'm gonna knock out a lot of calls today just call see what the homies are up to you know kind of check in on people i know it's a wednesday in the middle of the day i'm a call guy yeah i'm gonna do some road trip calls today i think maybe hit grandma make sure she's doing well your aunt there you go yeah i could go through the whole the check on their portfolios i do i you should just go call every merriman out there and figure this out i could include sean i don't have sean's number lights out yeah lights out oh there it is there it is yeah yeah so i'll be uh i'll be in Saratoga until the 9th of August.

But yeah, I'll be there for a week, enjoying the weather. It's supposed to be 80 and sunny on Friday in Saratoga.

Starting point is 01:11:36 That's her hometown. It is. The Dunk. I'm going to be driving past it today, actually. Yeah, not the little D. What do you take? Do you take 35? 35 to, what's it, 20 that goes through do you take do you take 35 35 to what's
Starting point is 01:11:45 it 20 that goes for little rock yep in memphis yeah 35 to 20 20 or 30 20 or 30 either way okay nashville okay um yeah i got i really got nothing i'll probably if it is just me i might this might be weekend of brisket i might uh unload a little bit of content on meat smokers only we're watching a lot of sports we got the mavs friday night check us out for mavs takes too much dip podcast available now wherever podcasts are sold top five podcasts top five sports podcasts just saying nbd yeah i don't really get into that i don't look at the charge i just know like is this a quality product we're putting out it is a quality product we're putting out? Are they going to sneak an episode in before the sports pod? Yeah, they're 11.45. Okay. All right, cool. Yeah, I have nothing really. After that, I'm pretty much just wide open.
