Starting point is 00:00:04 All right, we're back. Circling Back podcast, Monday morning. How about that? My name is David. Welcome to the show. Want to give a special shout out to Will DeFrease for the hat. What does it mean? This hat says every other Thursday on it.
Starting point is 00:00:42 I don't know what it means. Wow. I'll listen to retail therapy one time. Dude. Randall Trebek is produced. Hi, Davey Boy. What's up, man? Davey Boy.
Starting point is 00:00:57 What does it mean? He specifically requested. I call him Davey Boy. No, that was a character. Every other Thursday. That was an off-show character. Yeah, is a brand. It's just a brand.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Oh. Yeah. I don't own any every other Thursday. What does Howler mean? You know. Yeah, dude. We're not surprised, bud. That is a dope hat.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Yeah, thanks, man. You look all right. You look. And you know what? You look. More handsome than usual. I got the Bonobos on. Is that what that is?
Starting point is 00:01:30 Is that what that is? I got the EOT is what I call it. EOT. Jesus, Don. Oh, every Thursday. Sorry,
Starting point is 00:01:38 I was thinking way too hard about that. Yeah. Can we just start over? It's a live show, dude. We are live. How you doing, Randall? Doing good.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I'm doing good. I'm ready to have a great week. Summer's, you know, summer's over for those, for the kids. People are back in school. Park starts in eight days.
Starting point is 00:02:00 Eight days. Too soon. Too hot. Too hot for these kids. Shouldn't be going back. I'll say it. I like a shortened summer. I don't mind.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Summer stinks. God, you are, that's such a nark thing to say. I know. Dude, summer stinks. The summer in Texas stinks. Yeah, that's why they shouldn't be going back so soon. It's too hot.
Starting point is 00:02:21 They should go back in September after Labor Day. Nah, dude. They're going to get the abbreviated. Previated recess, they're going to come back all wound up. The summer camp circuit for an 11-year-old, it sucks, dude. Why? You're like 45. Why do you care? For my son.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Why does it suck? It costs money and you got to drop them off. Weird times pick them up at like two in the afternoon. And it's just the whole, it's a whole thing, man. I thought Parks were just summering in Europe. He was. He did spend some of it in Europe. His summer camp is just going over there and just,
Starting point is 00:02:58 not getting yelled at by prostitutes. Yeah. I think he did a good job of not getting yelled at by a prostitute. It's hard. It is. I failed when I went there. You failed the test. I did.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Some people probably have to pay for that. You got it for free. That's true. Fair enough. That's all you pay for. You just yell at me for like 45 minutes. Just berate me. And I'm just sitting here like this.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Oh, I was pretty good. That one was personal. I'm sure that's been done. You just, like, you just try not to break. You just like that their kink is just getting like just
Starting point is 00:03:30 shamed. Yeah. Like a stranger. What was the video I sent you, Randy, that was a guy. It was like a challenge and it was like, how long can you make it without breaking, without laughing? And I think it was just. It was like just a song.
Starting point is 00:03:46 And there was little subtle farts in it. It might be a challenge we need to do. It's just basically the camera's on you and you just try to keep a straight face. Well, like the worst song you can, like a bad song. Like a song that's not a song. Let me see if I can find it. Somebody made it in like Mario. You don't need to find it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Paint. I can imagine. Or whatever. No, no. This is good. Yeah, I failed immediately. I did too. I didn't make it very long.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Dylan probably make it all the way. He doesn't think parts are funny. That's true. I'll tell you, both of my kids think parts are very funny. I mean, farts are funny. Do you see I responded to your tweet, by the way? Yeah. I don't know why you're trying to.
Starting point is 00:04:27 embarrass me in front of our mutual friend. Well, I just don't know. Just let them have like a tweet without being like, I've got a better idea. I was adding to the discussion. I was adding to it. It was a good tweet. And I was like, hey, how about this one too? You dumb bitch?
Starting point is 00:04:40 Yeah, dude. Hey, everybody look at me. I got a better one. Not Brandon, you are the dumb bitch. I got a better idea. Here you go. This is, uh... I asked him, what about it?
Starting point is 00:04:47 This is practicing my poker face, seven out of ten difficulty. Let's see how you do, Dylan. Go straight face. I look for peace to see I What I need to. That's the most randy-coded challenge. Nobody's making it past the squeak. The most randy-coded challenge of all time.
Starting point is 00:05:09 So here's where we're at in my house. Dylan Schia, by the way, is here. Shout out the PCA. Shout out PCA. My dog. Parks is new dog, too. We got matching jerseys. We got matching jerseys.
Starting point is 00:05:24 You just, you want Big Cat to notice you so bad. Dude, I was doing it. When we were at Wrigley, I was just scanning the crowd for Big Cat. I'm such a big fan. Dude, you're probably here somewhere. That's what I kept telling Parks. You should have just tagged him in the pick. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Dude, you should have seen Dylan in the office group, Chad. He was like, Brett, Brett, Brett, can you, like get me into the Chicago Bar, like, the Barstow office in Chicago? Yeah, dude, what have, would have Big Cat's there right now? He just works from there. He just, he's just like, ah, I just go up there and open the lapy. Yeah, I just checks in emails. I don't think that's happening. If we had a washed bar, Brett would do that.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Oh, yeah. Yeah, for sure. No, but I am excited to be here. It's going to be a good show. We've got a loaded rundown, by the way. So Sam, my youngest, he's two and a half. He now, like, knows that farts are funny. And, like, his brother, who's five and a half knows the parts are funny.
Starting point is 00:06:19 So it's just they laugh at each other's toots. Okay, probably not that crazy. But he will, like, if we're, like, changing him or something, he'll go. he'll get up and he'll go I gotta go show Rhodes he'll run to the other room to show Rhodes's too He'll rip one and just like That's fantastic
Starting point is 00:06:35 So Rhodes'll hear it and you're just like God and I know it's not good behavior But I'm like What am I supposed to do? That's great What do I do? You need to you need to silently like applaud No they're very loud
Starting point is 00:06:47 No you need to like You know not like oh you don't encourage it Like overtly but like That's fucking there's a lot of There's a lot of me saying this Guys Guys Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:56 It's like real substitute teacher vibes. Guys. Come on, guys. Let's brush teeth. He does applaud it by coming into the office the next day and then telling me directly about it. And I'm like, that's great. That's really good stuff. I mean, I'm glad that they- that's advanced for a three-year-old.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Not even three, but yeah. That's really advanced for a two-year-old to like want his brother to hear a spark because it's funny. That's good stuff. I mean, it is, but it's like, is it good? Yeah. Yeah. age yet i did i what i tell roads is like dude do not do this in front of don't do this at school don't do this in front of girls at school don't do this in front of adults do it in front of me okay i mean i'm
Starting point is 00:07:38 obviously gonna laugh because i'm this is funny to me but like we can't dude i dapt rodei up yesterday i heard my target i tapped him i asked me about kindergarten did he did he respond or did he like gets shy i said he was very shy i said hey i heard your start in kindergarten soon he goes yeah oh thanks man all right he big time you uh a little bit i wrote i wrote it off to just being a little shy and that was okay he gets shy it's fine he's a he's a kid big week this week huge what are we do tomorrow on patreon exactly five minutes but we do need to pick uh the theme week i got i got a list here if you want to run through. Let's save it for tomorrow or Wednesday. Gotcha. But we do. Every, so here's the deal with Patreon if you're new here. If you just found us from the daily caller,
Starting point is 00:08:35 Tuesday, Friday, new episodes drop. Only those are beyond the paywall. Friday's listener voicemails. We've got a pipeline. It's actually a hoistline. It's a voicemail. You leave a voicemail on, whatever. 877-352-4677. Okay, that's every Friday, but every Tuesday we do a different one. And the final Tuesday of that month, we do a theme. The last Tuesday of this month, we will pick that theme this week. But tomorrow will be exactly five minutes. It's way, way better than I'm giving it credit for right now.
Starting point is 00:09:11 But we basically will put up a prompt. You guys will drop in a line and say, hey, talk about this. And we have a little thing and we draw them at random and then we time it. We talk about each thing for exactly five minutes. And it's very good. people like it so check out our patreon um just check it out you can try it free for a week okay how about that we have a newsletter that hits the inbox every friday morning as well wash dot substack dot com go check that out a lot of a lot of good things people are really
Starting point is 00:09:41 people are like wow you were really spot on with that uh hot d stuff the house of the dragon predictions you were you were all over it man kind of was a little bit i knew it wasn't gonna go I'm going to spoil some things. I knew the Ulf storyline. I knew that wasn't going to go as planned. That was, you know, not really going out on a limb, but you can't trust a guy who's got a serious alcohol problem and he's also a total dip shit to, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:07 and he's been riding a dragon for like a month. You can't trust him to just, you know, perfectly execute the plan. Yeah. You go to the guy drunk at the bar and give him the nuclear codes. Like, what do you think is going to go? Nuclear. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:20 That's sick, Randy. I support. that. I blame George Bush for always saying nuclear. A lot of people do. For a lot of things. Nuclear. Nuclear. Nuclear sounds like nuclear. Come on, man. What else?
Starting point is 00:10:38 Anything else we need to announce? I mean, small business September coming up soon. I mean, it's in a couple weeks. Dylan, you get trying sassy mustard? I haven't tried any sassy mustard yet. I haven't eaten anything that pairs well with mustard yet. But it's home and I'm It's ready to go. I'm going to try it soon. You're saying since you've been back, you have not had any meals that pair well with mustard. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:11:01 So you haven't had like a sandwich? You haven't had a shirt? More on that later. By the way, that stain is, I might not be coming out. Chelsea's working on it. I didn't ask her to. She just decided to figure it out. Just threw it at her.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Hey, a woman. No. Yeah, it might be stained. It looked like a pretty severe stain. I didn't even notice when it had. happened. I was just, I finished my hot dog and I was watching the blog and I looked down like, oh, here we go. Were you sitting next to Mario Lopez's niece and she was just, you can't take her anywhere and you got like a little bit of splash? I didn't notice Mario Lopez's niece
Starting point is 00:11:40 sitting anywhere near me. No. Have you seen that by now? I was here when we talked about it. I thought we did that with Barrett. It was Monday. I guess we probably talked about it again. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe you weren't paying attention. You were looking at your phone. trying to see a big cat was at the game and some mustard fell on the year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's recap this weekend of fun, presented by Pancho Outdoors.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Bro, let's go out this weekend. There's a crazy event happening. I like to turn up. Bro, there's a crazy event happening. We had the party, and it was lit. I got yelled out by a prostitute. Let's just go have fun and they'd go a little bit. Little Warfellers, let's go.
Starting point is 00:12:22 That's right. This weekend and fun presented by Pancho outdoors the great poncho outdoors listen it's time to load up on your fall gear all right it is time i mean look keep wearing your poncho because it's hot outside still but you got to get yourself a western shirt for my money the best shirt in the game not even kidding it's a denim like longslee button down with pearl snaps but it's it's not heavy denim it's light it's comfortable and it looks dope i have two of them i have a weird amount of denim shirts in my closet and uh ponchos easily easily Easily the best.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I got one that's sage green. That is super dope. I like that one a lot. Thank you. I think about that one sometimes. I think I look pretty handsome. Lightway, breathable, functional, loaded with little details.
Starting point is 00:13:07 The original shirt's got the hidden zippered pocket, sunglasses holder, even a built-in lens cloth for your shades. If you're like me and you're just out there ripping lips sometimes. You do rip lips sometimes, yeah, in your poncho. Here's the deal. It's not just what we described. Yeah, obviously they've got those great shirts. They've got the Western.
Starting point is 00:13:27 They've got the original. But go check out the graphic teas. Go check out the hats. Everything they have is awesome. Go check out the lightweight hoodies that we have to mention because they are the best. Yeah. I love throw it on and go hit golf balls in it. It's that lightweight.
Starting point is 00:13:45 The Little League dads have discovered these shirts. Yeah. And they're buying them by the bulk. They love them. It's the ultimate dad that Little League practice. Just throw it on because you know why? Because they've got UPF 50 built in, protect you from the sun. And they're just so lightweight.
Starting point is 00:14:01 They're awesome. Once you try one, you'll probably order five more. Gear up for summer with poncho. Go to poncho outdoors.com slash steam. Enter your email and get $10 off and free shipping on your first order. That's P-O-N-C-H-O outdoors.com slash steam. Drop in your email, get $10 off and free shipping. Once you try one, you'll understand why I've got a closet full.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Check them out. Uh, Randall. Hi, Dave. You want to hear about my weekend? Dude, talking about Friday night already. How about I start with Thursday, even though it's not the weekend? Thursday night, went to go see the new Spider-Man. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Very, uh, remind me a lot of the original, uh, Sam Ramey ones with Toby McGuire. That was pretty good. Pretty good. Getting good reviews and I would say it was good. Go see it. Do I need to see every Marvel movie ever made before I'm catching up on the Tom Holland ones, by the way, with Parks? I've watched the first two.
Starting point is 00:14:53 one more until the new one is that right uh yes but like they're good yeah i mean you've seen like all the avenger stuff too right yeah yeah yeah so the third one you definitely i would say the only thing you need to see dave is uh the third spider man if you haven't seen that one and then just understand that there are new avengers and that's like the new black widow and all that not scar jo anymore no is that is like a totally new character uh she was like her orphan sister two in like the Russian spy program or something like that
Starting point is 00:15:28 is she just as hot Florence Pugh so you make your decision off that yeah so anyways that it's not that big of a deal but just to know like she's a new black widow and she's the head of the Avengers
Starting point is 00:15:43 but it was good it was good Friday went to a little Mexican restaurant a mad all rancho no Sam Taylor a little etcho in Mexico And I was like, you know what? Dylan's been talking this thing up so much. I'm like, Megan, let's go.
Starting point is 00:16:01 We want to go out to eat. I'm not going to lie. And I'm like, there's a chance that Dylan's going to be there. I'm not going to lie. I'm really nervous about his review. But keep going, sorry. And then I pull up and I see a car that Dylan drives. I'm like, is that his car?
Starting point is 00:16:15 You saw my Ferrari out front. You saw it. It's one of the cars Dylan drives. Yeah. Triples is best. I'll walk in. And then, of course, there's Dylan and Chelsea is. sitting at the bar.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah, we were almost on our way out. We'd finished up and just vibing, just chopping it up with the staff there like we usually do. He's giving me, he's letting me try different, uh, my skulls. It was great. And then I got a little tap on the shoulder. Oh, Randy. And Meg, who I got to meet.
Starting point is 00:16:42 She's real, Dave. Mm-hmm. She's not from Canada. She's not AI. She is real. I gave her a big old bear. I said, get in here. Let me get the impulse on.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Where's my hug? I gave her a big old bear hug. No, she seems lovely, Randy. Didn't get a chance to really talk to her too much. She talks down to the wait staff. Yeah, I noticed that. That's why we left so early. So we did.
Starting point is 00:17:05 I got a frozen. Let me keep a sugar tracker on the weekend, too, Dylan, because this is things that I ate this weekend, that was sudden, Dylan, into a spiral. So I did get a frozen. I did do a frozen review, which will come. You did it at ECHO? At ECHO. I will say, number one thing about ECHO, the staff was very, very friendly.
Starting point is 00:17:24 They are, they are very, I understand why. Family biz. Yeah. Yeah, they're great. They gave her a hug. You got a free shot of tequila. I did get a free shot of tequila, which I took a picture of it because the bottle, it was so smooth.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Centenario? They knew that Randy was my dog. And so, like, I'm going to treat him well. Well, when you're there, your family. That's right. This was the smoothest tequila I've ever had. Centenario. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Okay. I can't really see it. But Dave, you can see it now. Dude, you should do like a, hundred stories about it. I didn't get the worm, so why would I do a story? I got the worm. Yeah, I was worried about that.
Starting point is 00:18:01 I got, I'll, I'll talk about the worm after Randy finishes. The food was very good. I will say the Bollet, we got, Dylan told me everything to get, and I was like, you know what, we're just going to get the enchiladas. We got one of each, pork, chicken, beef, and shrimp. And going, I will say, your recommendation of shrimp and pork was the way to go. That was our favorite. Those are, I like all of them,
Starting point is 00:18:25 but those are my top too. The moly on top was good. So I think it's a nice little place, Dave. You should check it out. It's got art on the walls. Your local artists. I've had it. I've had it.
Starting point is 00:18:36 He got the wrong thing, though. Oh, you went to that, you? Yeah, I ordered fajitos, crazy order. Well, it's not Tex-Max. Yeah. They were very nice. Why isn't on the menu? For gringos like me?
Starting point is 00:18:48 I'm just saying that that's not their specialty. Next time I'll order the especialial. Excuse me. Sorry, y'all. Okay, so I had cookie dough bites and mycon nights at the movie. Then I had a frozen margarita and got some churros on our way out from Metro. Come out, movie before. That was on Thursday.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Are you saving your marg review for your video? Yes. Okay. Yes. Very tart, isn't it? You can't do a bad margaret view for them. It's a small family business and you have such power. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:19:19 I know Randy Rates Frozen. Some people are liking it. It's viral. I don't know how much I want to. keep doing it because of that. In case you get too powerful? No, no, because Portnoy's an asshole and he doesn't care about giving a bad review. You're not built.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I don't want to give a bad review. I get it. That's the hardest thing. Yeah. If I went to a restaurant that I knew I was going to probably go back to at some point and I, like, gave them like a 6.8 or whatever. Yeah, it'd be tough. Especially after they gave them up, they grease the wheels with the free shot of tequila. Will told me, like, the best thing to do is maybe just hype up everything else around it.
Starting point is 00:19:53 so the review doesn't mean as much, which I did in the end thing. We'll see. I think I might change my rating scale from a point scale to good, great, amazing. Like everyone I have will be good, but you'll know if it's really good if I could give it a greater or amazing. So it's trinary.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Maybe. It's trinary. Because I don't want to get everyone a bad. No, give anyone a bad. Nah. I'll go. I'm not influenced.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Anyway, so then Saturday was in the morning. We went to go get some breakfast. I got big old sourdough cinnamon roll. Keep that on the tree. I'm worried about you. Well, the girlfriend wanted that. Where did you get the sourdough cinnamon roll?
Starting point is 00:20:31 Something fermentables. It's like a sourdough place right off of 290 by that. I know it. It's a little deli place. It's got like sandwiches and stuff. I'm glad that place is still open. You worry about new places. I haven't been in a year.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Kind of hung around on Saturday. And then Saturday night went over to Omar's place. Me, Megan and Omar and his wife. went over, got some Chinese takeout, drank a lot of wine, and played Mario Party. It was like the perfect 30s with no kids night, you know? It was a very casual. Where are you picking up Chinese food?
Starting point is 00:21:04 We got delivered from Sous. Okay. I thought maybe you would have pulled that Hunan card. No, no, no, no, no. Got it from Siles. So it was a very, like, that was a great night. And then Sunday, I just kind of hung around, watched House of the Dragon.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Yeah. Got, oh, oh, yes. Oh, I forgot. Also got donuts Sunday morning. Jeez, dude. Randy. Are you okay? That's a lot.
Starting point is 00:21:30 You're going to get the beat. It was. It was a lot. I mean, yeah. Just know it smelled crazy. Yeah, and there was a lot of dessert wine and the wine that we drink. How'd you feel yesterday? Good.
Starting point is 00:21:43 All right. Good. Good. He's built an immunity, like an immunity to sugar. His body's just like, it's just a lot. Like, it just processes it different. His smoke is too loud. If he enjoyed a cocktail that was sugar-free, his body might reject it at this point.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Yeah. Like, what is this? That's a, that would be a, that's a very valuable thing to develop. If you could, like, if you could take that to market, you'd probably be a very wealthy man. Dave, can I do a bonus Catholic minute? Yes. I'm feeling like an old man having problems with the father. Went to church on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:22:24 First time, a long time, gospel was. Jesus walking on water, I'm like, holy fuck, we got a mythical pool. Then the homily, he doesn't even fucking talk about him walking on water. It's all about him praying on the mountain. Can you imagine that? Just, yeah, you got to extract something. It's just a subplot. Yeah, but it's like, oh, we got the one, the one.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And then not. Which one? Where did you go? St. Mary's downtown. Good cathedral. What made you go downtown? Megan wanted to go downtown. To that one.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Yeah. And the other one that's closer to us, I went for you still with my mom. And I think the air conditioning wasn't working. So I'm like, maybe we don't go out. No. Dylan. Oh, thank you. I'm going to save my Chicago trip for a later segment, give it its proper platform there.
Starting point is 00:23:12 But as Randy already stated, I did go to ECHO on Friday night. And it was fantastic. I ate the worm for the first time. I've never done that before. Have you eaten the worm, Dave? Tequila worm? no so uh i did something a little crazy that no one's doing i asked for a uh i got a frozen margarita and i asked for a mascall floater all right and he says all right i got you but i'm
Starting point is 00:23:40 gonna give you the worm if we're doing it i said give me the worm dog you're sneaky just stunting on chels because you can't drink yeah you're just like well i'm going floater it's i got it i got a d at all the times it's fantastic you're taking full advantage so i poured Half of the shot into my margarita floater. Okay. And then the other one, I took it down. And then I had the worm for the first time. It has no, it just tastes like it's been soaking in the stuff, you know.
Starting point is 00:24:06 So it just tasted like the mescal. Yeah, it was, it was just like eating a worm. You didn't chew it, did you? I chewed it. Oh, you did? I did it about three or four times. And then I down the hatch, yeah. Yeah, I don't.
Starting point is 00:24:20 You said you got to chew it or else is cheating. Oh, come on. Yeah. So I chewed it. Yeah, I don't know if I'm, I just don't know if I'm going worm. I'd do it. I don't think I've ever done it. It ain't no thing, man.
Starting point is 00:24:33 Just a little protein. I've ate bugs before, eaten. Big bug eater over there. I've had some bugs. Chocolate covered cricket, fried meal worms, live cicada. Okay. The rest of the weekend, didn't do a whole lot, really. Just some stuff around the house.
Starting point is 00:24:50 We have a fiddle leaf fig in the house that we propagate, I believe. believe the term is we cut off, we're trying to create another one. Ours grew really tall, really fast, and so we're trying to grow another one from that one. All right? So it's now sitting in water. It's going to create the little root, root system, and then we're going to put it in soil. I'll let you know how it goes. A botanist. Yeah, it had it, basically had a baby. I did a lot of plant maintenance yesterday, too. This is my segment. I'm talking about my fiddle leaf feet. I'm trying to bond with you over, over-abunded stuff some context to the story and then last night we took uh this me parks
Starting point is 00:25:28 cha-chae-cha and my dad we took my dad out to dinner and went to carpenter hall which my dad is now absolutely in love with the food there is has gotten so good what's on the menu sunday night there it's the same but they don't do a burger special do they have a different special well they always have the burger the burger's a go at all times but they do a special yeah Tuesday i believe yeah just mark it down a few bucks but we paid full price price for the burger if that's what you're asking. Dylan doesn't like it when you ask questions about his weekend. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:25:58 No, it was a... Go ahead. My dad loved the burger, love the apps. He was... He's a big fan. That place is so good. Still a hidden gym. It's always, always available.
Starting point is 00:26:07 You can get a seat whenever. Are you mad that you have to pay full price for the burger because you don't eat the top on? I didn't get the burger last night. All right. Well, what did you get? Give the people out some detail. They have a duck taco.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Ooh, a taco. That is... It's a bit heavy. It's rich. It's fantastic. They cook the tortilla with duck fat. Ooh. And the, the, the ins, the innards are, there's a, like a, there's like a, there's like a cheat.
Starting point is 00:26:39 It's surrounded in cheese. It's cooked. I don't know how to, I don't really know the best way to explain this. Is it like the, like slightly charred cheese? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That you would get maybe in a Maria taco. It surrounds the duck and it's got, it's got some, some pickled veggies in there. and it's it's so good.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Damn. And refried lentils. Whoa. Check it out, dude. Refried lentils. It's fire. Okay. And it was just a lovely evening with the fam.
Starting point is 00:27:05 You just remind me of something. Thank you for bringing up lentils. Okay. You're welcome. I know. Friday night. I yield my time. Friday night, a guy sent me something on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:27:18 I think he got mad because I didn't respond how he wanted. He's probably going to DM me and me. be like, damn it, dude. He ever heard of pizza beans? What? No? No, sir. I mean, let me, I should send you the, I should just send you the picture.
Starting point is 00:27:34 This guy said, is this count is playing your Zah card? And pizza beans? It was a bowl of, yeah. And I was like, man, what the fuck? I got literally just like, what the fuck is this? And he was like, he just started talking shit to me. Because like, let me find it. So is it like this?
Starting point is 00:27:55 Where it's just like beans? What the fuck is this? I was just like, what's going on? It's just beans with like a pizza topping? Okay. I said, man, what the fuck? He said, don't knock it until you try it. I don't want to hear it from the guy discussing salium husk in group chats.
Starting point is 00:28:11 And I said, you'll need that too if you keep eating beans. He said, what does that even mean? They're both great fiber sources. You definitely never taught the world how to eat. So he just started going crazy. You started going crazy on it. Damn, dude. But anyway.
Starting point is 00:28:24 That's personal, dog. I had, yeah, I know. I mean, to be honest. I guess he was mad because I had actually ordered pizza and he had, he had had beans. That's weird. Or maybe he was mad because you didn't give a ruling. The dancers, obviously, no. So pizza beans aren't.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Yeah, my court. You lack standing. It looks like a pizza until you cut in, you scoop into it. This is like, yeah. This is the ultimate, like, disappointment. If you saw that was pizza. If Dylan came in and said he had it, I would be so mad.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Yeah. I'd be like, dude, stop eating pizza beans. This is like getting buffalo cauliflower thinking it's chicken wings and you take a bite and you're like, oh, it's cauliflower. Yeah. Yeah. So I was like, okay, maybe the, so I even, I was even like, you know what, maybe I'm in the wrong here. I'm going to go look it up. Maybe this is some delicacy in like some part of Italy and I don't know about it.
Starting point is 00:29:11 It's not. It's not. It's not. This is some gringo shit. This is some, yeah. This is some gringo slop. This is some like mom and, influencer cooking lady who's just like, I love making these for my kids.
Starting point is 00:29:25 They're so quick. It's pizza beans. I think it's pizza, but it's beans. This should be featured on the stupid food Instagram account. You know that one? I mean, I'm going to be honest with this guy. I'm not going to knock it until I try it. I bet it tastes fine.
Starting point is 00:29:37 It's just, I, I mean, I would try it. But I don't, I mean, I, so Friday night long, I'm really taking the scenic route here. We had, we had pizza. We did via. Okay. We don't really do via that often, even though it's not far from us. But the boys, the kids do the tavern pizza, the thin. Very good.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Oh, yeah. And your boy went with the omnivore. Okay. I went off a little bit. Damn. I did, by the way, I think their pizza is slightly less filling than jets. So, like, I took down three. It's really easier.
Starting point is 00:30:10 It's lighter and fluffier. I took down three easy. And I was like, I kind of felt bad about myself because I typically stop at two on the Detroit style, because three is just like. a little bit. Three Jets is like, you're going to feel it. You're not, you did, you did bad. But it was very good. Via is still really good. I'm a Jets guy too, but VIA, you got to mix it in every now and then. I try to watch a little, I watch a little Rangers baseball. And Saturday, Saturday was a pool day. Saturday was a, let Daddy go,
Starting point is 00:30:46 So daddy went and hit some golf balls in the morning, met the fam at the pool after that, hit the cold plunge my way in, post a golf. It was great. Pulled up in there, like, just had a little swag in my step, a little pep in my step to the pool. They're like, okay, where if he come from? They're like, oh, that guy was just, that guy was just working on knockdown wedges at the range. And yeah, they're right, it was. If I can get this driver figured out, things are looking good.
Starting point is 00:31:14 what else um went home i had a situation my sammy's diaper oh god oh yeah it was bad i had to put him immediately in the bathtub one of those mm ended up having to like chlorox foam bleach the bathtub it was bad it was it was it was it was it was it was rea time it's rea time it comes for us all man something about the pool the kids just poop after the pool at least it's not in the the pool. He's just not in the pool. Oh, man, Saturday evening, more Texas Rangers baseball. Didn't go our way. Actually, you know, it did. Yesterday was the, was the tough one. Long story short, I read a lot. I want to say, I watched The Northman. I don't know if I've talked about that on the show. It is a very good movie. You ever seen it? No. If you're into Viking lore, watch Northman.
Starting point is 00:32:12 this is like a very old movie it's a scars guard it's very good i'll tell you about some it's weird as fuck but it's good how about those northmen uh attacking you know how about uh sir rogerick dustin dude how about all this wait we can't talk about dillan doesn't watch the show don't try to act like we're such nerds for like stick no i didn't you kind of did i just said that i game of thrones you got your gave me my fill on on that like genre of entertainment and i quote from you uh the dungeon crawler Carl Reddit post. I'm not reading that nerd shit
Starting point is 00:32:46 or something like that too. Did I say that? I think so. I don't know if I said that. Let me see. I'll pull it exactly. I mean, there is something I would say.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Don't get me wrong. Just finished the series. He's right. The shit's gas. The rest of the boys should get in on the geysse for this. I'm like, oh, okay, that's good.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Then I go to the comments. I'm not fucking with that nerd shit from D. Shivery on. That's not nice. Come on, man. I downloaded it. Don't worry. Come on.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Yeah, Sunday, surprised roads. I bought him something on Amazon, and it's like $45. And if you have a kid in Little League or probably for maybe T-ball, all it is, it is a trampoline style thing that in an angle, you throw a ball at it and it fires it right back to you. I put it together. That thing's so fun. Is he getting the hang of it? we didn't do it fully yet.
Starting point is 00:33:43 We went out and through, I had to get him, I got to order some tennis balls. I think the baseball might be a little too. What about a T-ball? T-ball baseball. I'm going to get him something soft to start with because, like, he was throwing it hard. He was throwing, like, he wings it at it.
Starting point is 00:34:00 He doesn't understand, like, just to work on his hand eye. He's just trying to see how far he can make it bounce back. Trying to get that V-Lo up. I could totally see it smoking him in the face. Yeah. Because I almost smoked myself in the face. Yeah. But that thing's cool.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Yeah, those are cool. And he could just go out there by himself. Sick, talk. Will needed this when he was a kid. Yeah. Instead of throwing it on the other side of the yard. Yeah, maybe backers don't understand this reference. It's sad that Will doesn't know how to throw.
Starting point is 00:34:24 No one taught him. He could, Will can throw. I'm just kidding. He could throw. Yeah, man. Man. Yesterday it was a very, very, very slow day at our house. I was just thinking about how House of the Dragon is gone for like two years.
Starting point is 00:34:39 I don't even know what to look forward to anymore. It's like, Dune 3, and now I don't know. The Odyssey's out, Spider-Man's out. You can go see the Mad King play. Hmm. I don't know if it's like going to be like something you have to go to like Broadway for. Oh, like Stranger Things had their own play too. There's like a play, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Oh, whatever. So yeah, I don't even know what's coming out soon enough that I should get excited for. Yeah, it's tough, man, because it's two years and we're just, we're left with like the setup for. the final season. Good finale, though. Go read the books. Nah. I need to read other books.
Starting point is 00:35:15 I'm three quarters of the way through with my book, all the pretty horses. Nice. It's a McCarthy. It's a digestible McCarthy. It's a little bit easier to read than Blood Meridian, which I read twice famously. It's the most bleak book you'll ever read.

Starting point is 00:37:18 I took my son, Parks, to Chicago last week. I missed some episodes, regrettably. But I had to take advantage of the Dodgers being in Chicago because Parks is a big Shohei Otani kid. And so we caught the Wednesday afternoon game at Wrigley Field. So kind of two birds, one stone, get to see. Show Hay play, gets to see Wrigley Field, which for my money is certainly a top two ballpark in the MLB along with Finway, which we took Parks to last year. So now he's seen Finway, now he's seen
Starting point is 00:37:50 Wrigley. That's the battle, right? I mean, those are the, I think Eton Dodgers is kind of like an oldish stadium too. This got like a classic feel to it. But as far as like the true, you know, Blue Blood classic ballpark, I mean, Finway was, I mean, sorry, Riggily was built in. 1914. It's been around for a long time. And those are for my money, like, that's how I want to watch baseball. These nice big ballparks, modern ones, they're great too, but they're just a different feel, you know. And so, yeah, two birds, one stone, got to see Shohei play, got to see a Cubs day game. Man, that is such a fantastic baseball town. It was Wednesday afternoon, and I get it, like the Dodgers are in town. So it's not a, it's not like a throwaway game. It's a big game.
Starting point is 00:38:34 But man, that place was absolutely packed and rocking on a. Wednesday afternoon. I mean, do you guys go to work? It's crazy. It's such a great baseball town. Where did y'all stay? We stayed at a little, I called it a baseball hotel because it's walk it's walkable from Wrigley. It's a smallish hotel and it's people go there for baseball games. Like outside in the courtyard, they have a couple seats from Wrigley Field with like they kind of created like a tiny version of the Ivy and the wall out there. It was cool, man. It's just a little baseball hotel. Everyone's staying there
Starting point is 00:39:07 was like rocking a jersey. One of those. It was cool. It was honestly like that's where that's like ideal for this kind of trip for us. Let me back up. We ate at Giordanos.
Starting point is 00:39:18 So much better than Lou Mount Adis. Yeah. I absolutely loved it. It was really, really good. Always said. I'm still like, I'm not completely sold on Chicago
Starting point is 00:39:26 deep dish pizza, but for my money, Giordanos, I hope I'm saying that correctly, is fantastic. Did you get the pizza beans? I didn't see the pizza beans on the menu weirdly. Yeah, I think Illuminati is just like, it's so soupy and like messy and it's not good.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Like, Jared is like a good slice. It was really good. It was really good. Okay. Back to the game. Got Parks and Otani jersey that he wore to the game. We got there right when the gates opened, try to try to, we bought a, I bought him a Sharpie, try to get as close to the field as we could see if Otani was going to be roaming around out there.
Starting point is 00:40:01 He wasn't. We missed that. But the game itself could not have been a better game. 29 total hits, which is insane. Five home runs. It was, it was, the Cubs had a big lead for most of it. And then the Dodgers came back. And I think like the eighth, seventh or eighth inning and made it very interesting.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Otani, first batter of the game, hits a home run, pulled it over the right field fence. So like, they made already, like one battering in the game. Parks was fired up, jumping up and down. He would later hit another home run to bring the score close to even. Pete Crow Armstrong. Dude, that guy is electric. I love him. I didn't have the heart to tell Parks.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Parks became a big PCA guy while we were there, so much so that this jersey that I bought, Parks has a matching one. He was like, I love this guy. He's awesome. Didn't have the heart to tell him that he was hot-miked a few weeks ago, telling a female fan to S's F and D B. I mean, F and D B. We all imagine, I mean, our hob mics have been worse.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Yeah, sure. He hit two home runs as well, the second one of which was an absolute just bomb. And so it was so much fun, man. Weirdly humid and hot in Chicago the days that we were there. Got a little rain and started in the eighth inning, but it wasn't so bad that we had to go take cover. So they played through it. The environment was electric.
Starting point is 00:41:33 The game was so much fun. It was honestly, it couldn't have been a better experience. It was just fantastic. We loved it. Yeah, and then we hit the bean on the last day before we went to Oshabal. We got the cheeseburger. I hate that when you say the bean, I think of that fucking place out of the street. The Brett used to go.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Not the pizza beans. Not the pizza beans. No, not the pizza beans. It's the barley bean. Parks thought the bean was cool as hell. So I'm glad we did that. I mean, yeah. We played a little miniature golf in Millennium Park.
Starting point is 00:42:10 They had a little kind of a public. Oh, yeah. Public miniature golf thing there. That was cool. And all in all, just the perfect trip. Two nights that was it, got in and out. And, man, it was great. Questions?
Starting point is 00:42:24 Anything? What did you do the last night for dinner? There was a little Italian. restaurant that was like a five-minute walk from our hotel that was pretty fantastic the name of it oh angelina angelina restaurante parks got rigatoni bolanese oh heavy fantastic hmm yeah so what'd you get i got uh i just got i knew he wasn't going to finish this so i just got like a a meatball appetizer so i had some meatballs and then i had like half of his well perfect Someone's getting meatballs around here.
Starting point is 00:43:00 It's actually a good breakfast food. I like that. I'm digging into those meatballs. I'm in love with Wrigley Field. I mean, the whole environment surrounding it, I know, you're a socks guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:13 But, man, Wrigleyville's so cool. Didn't see Big Cat, sadly. I was watching the game on TV, and I was just noticing, like, dude, best camera angle. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It's just different.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Yeah, for sure. Did you get parks of Chicago Hot Dog? Did I miss that part? Dude, we didn't get a Chicago dog. I was banking on Chicago dogs being in the stadium because we had a pretty packed itinerary. They just had dogs in the stadium. Unless I didn't see it, they might have something like in the, but not in our section, certainly. How is there just generic dog?
Starting point is 00:43:47 Great. Good? Yeah. I mean, I had one when I was. Vienna beef. It was good. Damn, hot dogs sounds good. Dude, they did something that I haven't seen before at a ballpark.
Starting point is 00:43:55 They had little sliced pickled jalapinos and a little, uh, but you can just take it and like sitting out by the mustard and the relish. So I threw jalapenos on the dog. Fantastic. I got some on the on the Haller Brothers shirt, as you all saw. So trying to get that stain out.
Starting point is 00:44:15 It looked, it didn't look good. That's one you almost got to treat immediately and you really can't because you're to baseball man. I was, you should have gone to let her, you should have gone to fan like service or something. Yeah, I could have run out to the. restroom and put it under the sink to get it wet. But I'm just like, you know what? I'm just going to be a mustard guy the rest of the day. And I was. Everybody, like, did you not see any backers by any chance?
Starting point is 00:44:40 I didn't see any backers. That surprises me. Yeah. Famously have a lot in Chicago. I wanted to buy him a Peacrow Armstrong, like official jersey in the way out. Very expensive, it turns out, even in youth size, $215. So I did not do it. No. Yeah. So I got him, I got him, I got him in the jersey. Okay. And I got, uh, for the baby on the way, I got a little one. little cubs onesie for him which is cool the only thing i wish you'd had while you're there would be an original beef yeah but i don't know how hard it is to find yeah i don't i don't i don't i didn't know how to find either they do have they do have that in the airport yeah i mean it's and i wasn't going to get that at the airport usually if you go to like a small diner that has the vienna beef
Starting point is 00:45:20 logo for chicago hot dog you'll probably be able to get a good italian beef there too it was hard to hit all the like chicago staple foods while we were there you didn't take him to the uh What's the place, the late night place that y'all went? The Wiener Circle? Yeah, you didn't take them there. No, I told him about Wiener Circle, though. I mean, you can't take a kid there, right? Yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't pop the titty's out for the kids, you know?
Starting point is 00:45:45 Right, Randy? Yeah, probably not. You can still take them there, though, but yeah, but they're not popping tit. Did you take them over to Indiana to see Randy's old stomping ground? We did dip over to Gary. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, cool, good. Probably drove right past where the new stadium's going to be.
Starting point is 00:46:00 for the Bears. It's not funny. It's funny for me. Excellent trip. Love Wrigley. Love Chicago. Will you ever go back? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Of course. Heck yeah. You want you to do a double father-son trip? Take Rodi? I kind of want to take him in the spring. Yeah, he wants to go because obviously rookie of the year. But I'll take him to Savannah bananas. He was the Cubs, huh?
Starting point is 00:46:29 I'll take him to Savannah bananas. you don't want to go. No, I don't raise a banana kid. Did you see that catch? Look up that bananas catch. I don't want to see it. It's going to put me a bad move. It's sick.
Starting point is 00:46:42 No, hey, OPSA, not a PCA. Rookie of the year streaming through the end of the month for free on Netflix. To the end of the month to watch it. Okay, just a little something for the parents. I'm not even sure. No, Parks has seen it. He has. What's cool is I don't even have to ask if you can.
Starting point is 00:47:00 came back with your wallet from Chicago because I know you had your Ridge wallet. Yeah. And like I knew like he has that and he's not going to lose it. That's not going to lose all the stuff in it. Yeah. There's not going to be any digital pickpocketing. Look, we're obsessed with Ridge wallets. They're great, man.
Starting point is 00:47:17 They're made with premium materials like aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber. It's the last wallet you'll ever have to buy. They have a lifetime warranty. And it gives you peace of mind knowing that all Ridge wallets have the RFID. blocking technology keeping you safe from those digital pickpocketers. Over 100,000 five-star reviews. And it's not the bulky brick wallet you might have grown up with or your dad used to have or something. They're just, they're sleek and they're easy.

Starting point is 00:48:25 This is incredible. This is rocking the golfing world. Golf Twitter is. The golf Twitter is like now a top two or three genre of Twitter. And they didn't even need this and they got it. And it's like shot them up to the Mount Rushmore of Twitter. I'm trying to crazy. Trying to compare the scandal to the adding the weights to the fish in the fishing tournament.
Starting point is 00:48:50 And I'm trying to decide internally which one is more egregious and I can't. That's how bad this is, is what I'm saying. I'm going to give this the nod, and we'll play the video courtesy of this TikTok user. By the way, the, J isn't funny. The, the imaging. I don't know if this is like AI generated or what, but it's kind of funny. Is that in this one? Yeah, I believe it is.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Okay. Let's just play it. You're about to hear the craziest cheating story in a golf tournament of all time. I was told by some insider sources in the St. Louis area about a. true story that just occurred at Winghaven Country Club's member member championship this past weekend. Strap in, ladies and gentlemen. I'm also going to keep all names anonymous. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:49:38 He's keeping the names. I was going to say, I don't know. There's a name out there. There's a name out of blast without knowing. I haven't seen that. Okay. Amist out of respect for the people involved. And I'm going to refer to the person in the story as golfer.
Starting point is 00:49:52 So golfer is playing at the member member championship at Winghaven. He's a pretty incredible player. He's a plus two handicap and played some division one in college. During the tournament, there's a hole in one pot. So if you make an ace, you win the pot of money. So golfer is in the first tee time of the day, and he found this out before the tournament started. He shows up and tells a group before they tee off, hey, I have this important phone call that's going to come in later. More specifically, he said that his grandma is in the hospital with poor health, and he has to take this call when it comes.
Starting point is 00:50:23 They're all like, yeah, dude, that's fine, no problem. They start playing and they get to the third hole. At the end of the third hole, golfer says they just got the call. So he's going to run up to hole four, hit his T shot real quick to keep the pace of play going. By the way, hole number four is a par three. And it's probably the most famous hole on the entire course. So the group gets up to four T box. They asked golfer, hey man, how'd you hit your shot?
Starting point is 00:50:45 He said, word for word, I thinned it, but there's a divot on the green. They're all like, okay, cool. They get ready. They go and hit their shots. Lo and behold, they go down to the green. there's golfer's ball in the hole. He just made a hole in one. They all get super excited.
Starting point is 00:50:58 But there was nobody there in the group to witness him actually hit this shot into the hole because he said he had to take this call. So he ran up and hit his T shot really quickly. So nobody in the group actually saw him hit this T shot. A couple of members get a bit skeptical. I mean, there's money on the line. So they go and they tell the superintendent about it. He says, no need to worry.
Starting point is 00:51:19 We have cameras right by that hole. And 15 minutes later, here's what happened. They found out that the camera caught him parking his car right by the maintenance shed right next to the green very early before the round started. He then got caught creating a divot on the green and putting his ball in the hole on hole four. The phone call, none of it was true. He did all of that just to make it seem like he made a hole in one on hole four. One of the craziest golf stories I've ever heard. I mean, what a meticulous way to fake a hole in one.
Starting point is 00:51:57 I'm shocked. Follow for more content like this. Okay. So what makes it worse to me is obviously in using your involving grandma and her health. So that that gives it the edge over the fishing, the fishing weights. This only could have worked if you're the first, the first group off, which they were. Right? Correct.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Okay. Um, dude. To, okay. For a few thousand bucks. Everyone who plays golf knows that a whole and one is so almost near impossible to do. Like it's very, it's very difficult. Many people will go their entire career without having. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And so if anyone says like, oh, I was playing by myself and hit a hole in one, everyone's like, oh, sure. Like, there's like immediate skepticism off the bat. Right. And so for none of the guys to witness this. like red flags immediately are going to go up no matter what um the camera the camera being on the whole he wasn't accounting for that this is unbelievable that's um incredible that he didn't think that through yeah he didn't think to see if there was a camera and it's so desperate it's so
Starting point is 00:53:11 incredibly like it's just so bad it's it's stealing too i mean like there's a pot involved i mean Everyone puts money in for this big pot, which I would imagine it got up to like thousands of dollars. Yeah, I think I read a few thousand. I don't think it was anything crazy. But even if it was like 10,000s, it's, it's a good way to get banned from your club, which I believe he did. And just become the main character and golf Twitter, which you don't want to do. It's, it's incredible. I mean, I would like to know how this guy was dealt with.
Starting point is 00:53:50 which this obviously doesn't include that part like what was the fallout that you confronted this guy clearly there's no one have any footage of this did they beat the shit out of him in the parking lot like what happened to this guy so i'm assuming he didn't even hit a shot like he didn't hit a fake show he didn't like so he just i i would love to know the setup if they're the t-boxes within view of the green you know when he was all faking the phone call his ball had been in the hole for probably a couple hours at this point you know yeah um By the way, he's very lucky, like a random maintenance guy didn't just happen. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:26 You know, this worked out perfectly except for the camera. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's insane in the acting job to, you know, act when you realize you got a hole in one. Oh, shit. And like to like pretend do that is insane. Like to like fake that with your group as they're all like, I guess they probably celebrated it with them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:48 I would be skeptical. I imagine he took the ball and like spiked it on the green to create the divot mark. I was thinking about that. Yeah. That's probably the best way to do that. Probably easy to pull off. I want to know how he was exposed. Like the guy in the video says 15 minutes later, like do you think the, you know, the head of the club would just like quiet everyone down and just put it on the screen and everyone just watched?
Starting point is 00:55:09 That would have been the most electric thing ever. If they played it like in the clubhouse in front of like all the like after the tournament's over, right? Yeah. Just let him think the whole. he got away with it and it's like all right let's let's let's see let's let's see your whole one one man he's like oh fuck i would just run out of there hop in my car and leave this is so embarrassing i mean made made worse by the fact that he's an actual good golfer to to like pull shit like this if you're just some some amateur kicking it around out there you know it's like this is
Starting point is 00:55:38 like this guy knows better this is such a better better call sol scam like just like a just like a Slippin'fall Jimmy. Just like, you know, just looking to get to make a buck. It's so bad. So embarrassing. This is stupid. They're, you know, my name is Earl, that show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:58 They used to do a scam. When they found out that like whenever someone hits a hole in one, they buy drinks for everyone the clubhouse. So this one guy, they kept on like faking him getting holes in one because the guy didn't know. And that's how he like, the guy like quit his whole life to become a professional golfer because he kept on just seeking holes in one. It was just so that you get free drinks out of him.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Jake from St. Louis, but that's really stupid. Oh, God. It's so bad and embarrassing that I'm like, I feel, I do kind of feel bad for the guy because it's just like, dude, you have to move. You can't come back from this. You have to move. You have to move your family. He has two young kids, if what I've seen is true.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Oh, yeah. Perb, we've got shooters that are in the St. Louis area that have said, like, I think Micah said that, he heard from some Missou people that the guy called into a radio station to kind of explain it which like what do you explain like I needed the money for something like I don't know the juice isn't worth
Starting point is 00:56:58 to squeeze here I mean it's not life changing money it's not like a million dollars no it's just a few thousand bucks to risk your reputation and no one ever wanting to play golf with you again a golf course before the member member at a country club there's going to be people like maintenance and cart boys and people all over the course that's probably the most serious weekend at a country club right
Starting point is 00:57:15 a member member tournament like that's like they take it very serious Oh, yeah, they do. Oh, and on the fourth hole, too. I guess you got to do it in the first part three. Less than the chance of somebody like just, like a maintenance guy or somebody just noticing it. Dude, this is so bad. Yeah, this guy's toast, man. You can't come back from this.
Starting point is 00:57:36 You're forever the guy that did this. He has to lean into it. On any golf course he ever walks on again, he's like, oh, that's the guy. How do you lean into it? You can't. You can't. just like the fishing weights guy he can't get into that this guy's that guy's done this is on par with just like um somebody who just commits some some some some light fraud yeah like somebody who
Starting point is 00:57:59 you know what to do it like a berny made off golf but like on a much much much much lesser level yeah i'm looking to see how many uh holes in one hole in ones i don't know that trump has uh he he claims somewhere around uh seven to eight but it seems only one is a one is a one is been definitely confirmed. I can't get started. I can't get started talking about Trump's golfing accolades. I can't do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:23 I'm going to piss up. Dylan feels so strongly about it. He texted us from Chicago just like out of the blue. Because, hey. I'm pretty sure that he like, his scores are just completely phony. And everyone's surrounding him just doesn't have the heart to be like, no, you didn't shoot a 70. They're just letting him get away with it.
Starting point is 00:58:44 It's his club. I mean, you know what I mean? I mean, yeah. That dude's not shooting, that dude's not firing a 70. Golf.com has this full story up. God, it made its way to ESPN. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:59:01 He called into the ESPN show the morning after on Friday to issue, an apology, offer an explanation, asked his family be left out of it. You do something as dumb as I did. There are consequences for that. Some are very fair. Some aren't.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Yeah, he's basically, basically like, this is bad. He's really, yeah, I mean, his wife's not happy. It's, it's an embarrassing moment for the entire family. God, at least his kids are really young, I think. The redemption arc will be legendary. This dude's toast, man.
Starting point is 00:59:40 I knew a guy. A guy who played, I was friends with. I haven't seen him in a long time. played high school golf with. He was a better player than me. He was like on varsity one. So he was like competing like with the top dogs. And we were playing just like a summer,
Starting point is 00:59:56 summer weird. The boys were just out playing Steven Spark in Dallas. One of the city courses, great course, go play it. And somebody caught him just moving his ball. Like it was in the woods behind a tree and he kicked it. And something like another buddy was like,
Starting point is 01:00:13 dude, what are you doing? I just saw you do that. He tried to argue, I swear to God, this is a type of, he is such, such an arguer. He's like, I didn't do anything wrong. He's like, he tried to like cite the PGA rule book. He goes, rule, he made up a rule, like rule 3.14 says, if your ball comes to rest that close to like a stump and you could injure your hand on the swing, you're allowed to kick it.
Starting point is 01:00:38 Like, he said, it was so bad. It's not a rule. And we're like, dude. No. No. What was the page sporadic controversy at the barstool? It was essentially the Bryson. Oh, yeah, yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 01:00:52 So she moves some grass or like she, she, she's, yeah, she's stamped down some grass. I can't remember she did it with a club or hand or her foot. Yeah. And she's played in real term. It's like she, she, she should know. She says she didn't. I don't really remember. I know it was a big.
Starting point is 01:01:07 She felt she still hears. She still hears about it. Yeah, she felt bad about it. It's something that like, I, people. people in, like when we go play golf, like people do it all the time, not thinking of it. Yeah. But yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:24 So not as bad as faking a hole in one. Tough look, man. Invoking grandma's health. What was that call going to be? By the way. You need to get to the hospital right now and then he finishes the round. Hey, I'm expecting a call and it's about my grandma who's sick. Right.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Okay. So like, say it's for work. You could just say like it was the doctor giving an update, like she was in surgery and then be like, okay, like everything went well. Like, you could just be like to say that, you know, but still be expecting a call. Yeah, that's such a like low level, like, oh, my grandma's sick. I got to take this.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And I have to drop, that's like a quick makeup. I'm going to drive up to the next T-box so I don't slow the pace of play down. Like, that's not necessary. Hey, I'm just going to go ahead hit my shot. That's not necessary. Just take the call in the cart, you know, just like hit your shot, get back on the phone. What if you're his playing partner? I mean, you don't, you don't realize.
Starting point is 01:02:19 until after the rounds over, I would imagine, is when they figured it out, right? No. The way I understood, they found it out pretty quick. Yeah. I think they got back to the clubhouse and they're like, hey, we got to check the tape on this. That's how I understood.
Starting point is 01:02:31 That would make more sense. I don't even know if it was them. I think it was other people were like listening and then like wait home, but none of them saw it. Like, then they like, I don't know if it was the guys in them or not, but either way sucks. Because the guys in his group were the only ones who knew that he had to drive up ahead by himself
Starting point is 01:02:46 because everyone else had to even teed off yet. So they didn't know that there's a reason to be skeptical. I think it was after the round. That's my. Oh, yeah. Dude, I've got, I've got breaking golf news. Zeech? What is it?
Starting point is 01:03:00 This is wild. We officially have a date for next year's WTI, and it's going to be August, 5th, 8th. Yeah, that's right. We pick about a little less than a year in advance. We picking dates just to get out of it. I just to hear about it every week for the next 52 weeks. Oh, yeah. also you guys you guys pick so far ahead and like look I like the heat if you guys pick so far ahead
Starting point is 01:03:23 like why don't you just pick like you know November because it's we do it we do it then because it just makes the most sense for people with kids oh okay summer big it yeah yeah yeah yeah that makes sense yeah dude hey one day man you'll get it man if that happened in a wTI oh You'd get flogged. You'd get your bare bottom flogged. Yeah. Yeah. It's kind of like, dude, they should have made this guy drop his pants and run around the Del house.
Starting point is 01:03:56 That should have been the first way they punished him. Get the paddles out. Get them out. Paint that thing red, man. Maybe put some music to it. Music they downloaded from Storyblocks. Oh, that'd be sick. Storyblocks is 100% human-made stock medium library that's essential for creators.

What's up getting into, man?
Starting point is 01:05:36 What isn't he getting into? Just living that billionaire life out there on yachts and stuff? It's two yacht adjacent stories. Yes. First, the bad. Read this, Randy. The yacht of Mark Zuckerberg allegedly refused repeated calls by U.S. Coast Guard looking for ships available to rescue a small boat with two women, a kid, and a dog. According to a user on BSKY, who was on a cruise ship that performed the rescue eventually, AIS track its claims. So, yeah, they just refused to help this rescue.
Starting point is 01:06:12 Okay, but what are the chances that Zuck actually makes the call here? I mean, he's not, he's not the one taking the SOS calls, you know? Probably not. Yeah. But it's a bad look. It's a bad look. Yeah, it's a bad, yeah, it is. It's even a worse look if the reason why they didn't is because of the video and our second story and they were too busy doing this.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Yeah, dude. Dylan, man, I'm going to give you a, I'm going to give you the platform here to just go ahead and issue a Maricopa. No. And just take back everything you've ever said. No. No. Roll that beautiful pizza bean footage, Randy. So this is what he was doing when there was a kid in need of help.
Starting point is 01:06:54 Sparring with UFC's own Marab Valshvili. Devalesvili. How do you say that? It's just Marab to me. I'm sorry, but he still throws punches like a NARP. He just dropped the high-phatic regular person, by the way. Just done a... Huh?
Starting point is 01:07:12 Yeah. I was explaining NARP. Dude, Dave, you know those aren't good strengths. You know that. Dude, he could take you down easily. He took down Marab, man. Oh, yeah, I'm sure he's not letting him. I don't know, this guy's tough.
Starting point is 01:07:26 He said, Marab didn't he took our shirt off because it looks more fighter. So this is what he was doing when there was a child and a dog in need of help. We don't know, but it's kind of funny to think that. That's why. Why on this platform in the middle of the ocean? Because why not? Rob is 5.6.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Because he's running out of ways to spend his money. Yeah, because why not? This guy's 5'6, you said? Yeah, he's from Georgia. Not that Georgia. Go dogs. He's from the other Georgia. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:07:56 The scarier one. Right. Yeah, this actually helps my confidence if it were to come to blows with Zuck. He's been training for so long. I think he tends to be very. This is how he throws a punch. I mean, it's sparring. But he doesn't really, like, he doesn't look like he really has a lot of pop on those punches.
Starting point is 01:08:20 It's because of the nerd gene. It's too powerful on him. I think he takes you. He doesn't take me. Easy. He's going to take you down and put you an arm bar easy. I have six inches on him. Probably have.
Starting point is 01:08:31 You're six inches on Zuck? Isn't he 5.7? Let's see. You might be right. I thought he was 5.7. I would guess 5.9, like a more respectable, like, really approachable height. 59 would make more sense. Five seven, yep.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Okay, I got six inches, probably 30 pounds on him. And also, I'm not a nerd. Okay. He does train, though. Like, he might catch me, you know? Yeah. He might give me a swollen lip, but he's not walking away from it. We're in big time fighting mode at our house.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Roj really wants to, like, play fight. And he's at the point, I mean, he's been like, it's, you know, I let him hit me sometimes. Like, a lot of times it hurts. You're just like, all right. Parks is a, he likes to wrestle with me, not scrap. I prefer the wrestling because the punches, it's like, he's hit me in the face before. And I'm like, man, that hurt. Like, why'd you do that?
Starting point is 01:09:28 Yeah. So to answer your question from last week, if you say, when you asked, is this what I sound like with my athletic prowess about Jonah Hill? Yes. What, I mean, I'm not, I sound like I say I could take the other guy here. That's an actual trained fighter. That guy would wear my ass out. I think Zuck takes Jonah.
Starting point is 01:09:45 You think so? Yeah. How tall is- Jonah doesn't have the striking. Be very interested. Yeah, for sure. It'd be, I bet that's a good fight. If Jonah,
Starting point is 01:09:54 how much would you pay to watch that? How much would you pay to watch that? Five-seven. They're both five-seven. He seems really confident. He sounds like a guy who has a celebrity jiu-jitsu trainer that kind of lets him, like, dude, you're actually really good.
Starting point is 01:10:05 No, dude, yeah, you definitely keep paying me. You could take anyone who's not bigger than you. Dude, yeah, you should, no, you should definitely keep paying me. let's pass on you up for another year you should go talk shit on a podcast and because you can definitely back it up yeah and everybody all the guys on the podcast will like over laugh for some reason like it's like the coolest thing you've ever said they're laughing at him like dude you look so frail i'll fuck you up dude i'll fuck you up i'm not just a fat kid from super bad anymore
Starting point is 01:10:32 dude i'm not just i'm not just yeah people see me and they're like oh you're like the funny guy from a podcast no dude i will fuck you up man yeah that's that that's exactly that's exactly his delivery. No, I think you guys, you don't let it, don't let it fake, because I come on here and do jokes, man, okay, fuck around and find out, man. Jason Bateman laughs in his face when he says, no, I can absolutely take you.
Starting point is 01:10:54 Like, no joke. I think Will Arnett takes him. Yeah, he's tall. This would be a great fight. They're both 42 and they're both 5-7. There you go. Any room for me in there? Same weight class.
Starting point is 01:11:08 Yeah, I mean, do you want to get in there? 42? What do you call? 5-7. What? For the right check, yeah. Which of the martial arts does Zuck train in? I think all of them.
Starting point is 01:11:18 I think he does, I mean, he does striking, moitai, or maybe just kickboxing. I don't, yeah. He does jiu-jitsu. I mean, he's probably the more well-rounded. This is such a stupid conversation. He just had someone to build a floating platform. Right.
Starting point is 01:11:34 That is just the thing that we haven't addressed yet for some reason. So ridiculous. What did that cost? You know, most people throw out the, was it, the lily pad behind the boat? Dude, you have a yacht. Just do this on the deck of the yacht. You don't need to build this thing. That's not a baller enough.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Like, I got, let's go spend $200,000 real quick to get this thing built. Yeah. Just for a stupid fucking video while this mother and her son and a dog are stranded. We're not going to help. They're okay, by the way. Somebody went and got them. Imagine, though, if you were stranded and you're calling the Coast Guard and you're all like getting, like, anxiety's coming in. And then Zuck and a professional fighter pull up on this.
Starting point is 01:12:12 It's like, what do you guys have been doing? Like, oh, we were sparring. That's just floating platform. It would have been a good PR. Perfect song for Zuck to put on this video, by the way. Macklemore. That's very Zuck. Do you do that?
Starting point is 01:12:32 Very Zuck. I was outside getting some sun post-Jen this morning in the ladies, the ladies who do the pool class. It's not just ladies, but it's like the, the senior class and just doing water aerobics they got a big old Bluetooth speaker probably bigger than this one Dylan oh and they're just blaring
Starting point is 01:12:53 imagine dragons hell yeah and they're just loving it and I was out there like you know what thunder good for them they're getting it that blood's flowing
Starting point is 01:13:02 and I'm actually I'm kind of vibing with this I wouldn't necessarily freaking with it I heard I was vibing with it I hear they put on a great show didn't you go to the thunder from down under in Vegas
Starting point is 01:13:13 no no I did not Speaking of being out and getting some sun, I did enjoy that you put on the story recently. You are your lawn attire with your wraparounds and your bucket hat. Yeah, that's, dude, people think I'm just like the podcast guy. Like, they don't think I'm out there mowing the lawn. It's like, motherfucker, do you know I will mow a lawn?
Starting point is 01:13:33 That's right. Fuck around and find out. Yeah. You need to be following us on Instagram to see that type of content. If you're not, what are you doing? What are you doing? What's going on? Who are you following?
Starting point is 01:13:44 Are they vetted? Do they post good content? Well, that's all I got. Good stuff. We already got, Ronnie's already looking okay for tomorrow, by the way. KJ actually sent us something, sent me something for us to talk about, too, so I'll let you guys know. I noticed he was in the dock earlier. Yes, he is in the chat, too.
