Hello, hello, and I hope 2020 is treating you superbly so far. I just got back to England and I'm still
in a jet-lagged haze, but I did make it to the gym so I consider that a win. And this weekend,
I will be sitting down to map out my goals for this year. Would you like to join me?
I am hosting a free 2023 goal mapping workshop and this is happening at 10 a.m. Eastern time on
January 14th. This isn't a lecture. It's going to be a very interactive session. You'll create a vision
for your year that aligns with your values and priorities. We're going to be breaking down your
big goals into manageable tasks that don't overwhelm you. You'll develop an action plan to stay on track
and minimize procrastination and more. You'll find a link to sign up for this workshop in the episode
notes of whatever podcast app you are listening to right now. And a replay will be available to
those who sign up in advance. You know, a few Christmases ago, I flew home to visit my family in New
England. And most mornings you could find me typing away in my father's den. My dad has this
little library with all these books in his desk. And there you could find me working away on
some project. I can't even remember what it was. But here's what I do remember. My two-year-old
nephew sneaking into the room in his cute little bathrobe and wanting to play. He was so excited
to see me. And so for a few minutes, we were both dinosaurs. I believe T-Rex. I'm sure he was
T-Rex. And I was some sort of brontosaurus.
or Stegosaurus. And then I said, okay, I have to go back to work now, but I'll come downstairs
in a little while. And I kept my promise. I did go downstairs, but I should have flipped those
priorities. I should have spent the whole morning with him. And I am never going to get back
that time with my nephew again. And that is a big regret of mine. Study after study confirms
that a large part of our happiness comes from our relationships, not wealth, awards, status.
It's the people in our lives. Yes, sometimes we are obligated to stick to certain timeframes and
commitments, but often we invent how much work we should be doing at the moment. It often feels like a feverish
more, more, more. How good would it feel if you could slow down and be more present in your life?
Well, this Saturday, I will be sharing what has been working for me in recent years when it comes to
setting goals and focusing on what is really meaningful to you. Again, this is an active workshop. It's not a
lecture. And it's free. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and plan a fantastic 2023,
then sign up for my goal setting workshop by clicking the link in this episode. This goal setting
workshop will be especially beneficial to you if you are the type of person who is really great
at meeting other people's needs, but become very distracted when it comes to prioritizing your own
dreams. Again, it's happening January 14th, 10 a.m. Eastern time. It'll probably last between
60 and 90 minutes, I would say. And this is online. It will be taking place on Zoom. Whether I see you on
January 14th or not, I hope you have a fantastic 2023, and you will of course be hearing again from me
soon on this podcast. Do you ever go blank or start rambling when someone puts you on the spot?
