Citizens of the World: A Stoic Podcast for Curious Travelers - The Postcard Academy is Now Called LIVE Without Borders

Episode Date: February 12, 2021

Rebrand! The Postcard Academy is now called LIVE Without Borders (and for a hot second it was called Part of Something Greater -- what can I say, it's a creative evolution). If you’re a global... citizen seeking a more meaningful, freedom-fueled life, you’re in the right place.I’m your host Sarah Mikutel, a transformation coach who first moved abroad on her own at age 18 and who has been permanently enjoying life in Europe since 2010. My guests and I will share with you how we made our travel and living abroad dreams come true, and how you can, too. But freedom is about more than getting on a plane. It’s about self exploration and personal transformation, so you can live a calmer, kinder, more connected life. So I’ll cover this, too -- and I especially love sharing how the Enneagram and Stoicism can help you become more present, curious, and open hearted. It you’d like my help achieving more peace, happiness, and positive transformation in your life, visit sarahmikutel.com Do you ever go blank or start rambling when someone puts you on the spot? I created a free Conversation Cheat Sheet with simple formulas you can use so you can respond with clarity, whether you’re in a meeting or just talking with friends.Download it at sarahmikutel.com/blanknomore and start feeling more confident in your conversations today.

Starting point is 00:00:00 The Postcard Academy podcast is now called Live Without Worders. And if you are a listener of this show, you know that I did a teaser episode of what was a separate podcast, a few episodes back. And I did that kind of as an experiment. But part of me really felt in my heart that they should just be one podcast. And I will explain why. So the Postcard Academy has traditionally been a show about travel and expat life and living abroad. But I have done other episodes where I've weaved in history. I've weaved in well-being things, talked about productivity.
Starting point is 00:00:46 And to be a good global citizen in the stoic sense of the word where we are all connected and we are all part of this universe together, It's not about just us going on vacation or getting on an airplane. For me, exploring a world beyond my borders is literal, but it's also figurative. Like, exploring new ways of seeing things and new ways of seeing ourselves. So I think self-exploration and personal development work is the most important journey that you will ever go on. I believe it was Seneca who said something like, you can travel anyway. but you're always going to bring yourself with you. And so we really need to get in touch with our own personal growth just as much as having those experiences, not things, kind of lifestyle. So I really
Starting point is 00:01:43 want this podcast to be about how to be a good global citizen travel wise, but then also personal development wise. How can we live a healthier, happier, more connected life? And so that is the direction that the show is going. I'm still going to talk about travel and living abroad because I love talking about that kind of stuff and I feel like that is my community. But I also love talking about Stoicism and the Enneagram and I hope to bring that to you in an interesting way. So stay tuned and I've got some really great episodes coming your way. Do you ever go blank or start rambling when someone puts you on the spot?
