Clinton Jaws - How Police Exit A Room With A Suspect

Episode Date: February 15, 2021

Former cop breaks down police shooting. NYPD attend a domestic with two dudes. This is how police exit a room with a suspect, the right way. Call my hotline number 604-330-2512. The NYPD released bod...y-worn camera footage from an officer-involved shooting that occurred on February 8, 2019, in the confines of the 7th Precinct. During this incident, Police Officer Nelson Cordova and Police Officer Jagdeep Singh, assigned to patrol in the 7th Precinct and attired in uniform, discharged a combined total of seven shots from their service firearms in the course of a confrontation with an armed subject, later identified as Joshua Rembert-Williams, a 32-year-old male. Mr. Rembert-Williams was armed with a kitchen knife with an eight-inch blade during the incident. The knife was recovered at the scene of the incident during the investigation. On Friday, February 8, 2019, at approximately 6:56 AM, a 9-1-1 call was received reporting that Mr. Rembert-Williams, the caller's husband, had violated an order of protection. The caller also explained that he was trapped in the bathroom because Mr. Rembert-Williams, who was in possession of a knife, was attempting to assault him and threatening to kill him. Police Officer Cordova and Police Officer Singh responded to the call for assistance, arriving approximately ten minutes later. Upon entering the apartment, the officers spoke with the complainant, who informed them that Mr. Rembert-Williams was no longer at the location. Police Officer Cordova began checking the apartment to confirm Mr. Rembert-Williams was no longer present. While doing so, Police Officer Cordova encountered Mr. Rembert-Williams hiding in a closet. After frisking Mr. Rembert-Williams for a weapon, he was asked to accompany the officers into the hallway to discuss what happened prior to their arrival. While walking through the kitchen area toward the apartment door, Mr. Rembert-Williams opened a kitchen drawer, removed a kitchen knife and ran toward the complainant with the knife raised, saying, "I'm going to kill this bitch." Police Officer Cordova fired four shots and Police Officer Singh fired three shots from their service firearms, striking Mr. Rembert-Williams in the torso, leg, and shoulder, resulting in his demise. The complainant was removed to a local hospital, where he was treated for a slash wound to his left shoulder, a puncture wound to his right temple, and a stab wound to his right shoulder. Police Officer Cordova and Police Officer Singh were equipped with body-worn cameras that were activated during this incident. In April 2020, this case was presented to the First Deputy Commissioner's Use of Force Board. The Board determined that the use of force in this case was justified and within department guidelines. https://www.clintonjaws.com/ https://open.spotify.com/show/3hWntbop6gLEg6RFR0aOzJ https://www.facebook.com/clinton.jaws.7/ https://twitter.com/ClintonJaws #rcmp #bootcamp #policepodcast #police #police video

Starting point is 00:00:05 Hey guys, Clint here. I used to be a cop. I'm a civilian now. I want to show you a police video. The reason I'm showing you this police video is because I'm going to show you after the video why the police saved. By doing this certain tactic actually saved the victim. Save the victim's life. That's why I'm showing you the video. I'm not going to play the entire 911 call, but the 911 call was terrible. It didn't sound good. It sounded like somebody was actually going to die. So I edited it, the 911 call out. Let's start with a 911 call. He has me trapped in the bathroom, and he's trying to work me right now.
Starting point is 00:00:45 He's trying to, right now, he's trying to open the bathroom door so he can attack me. And I'm trying to, he said he's going to kill me. That's what he said. He's going to kill me right now. Uh-oh, perfection. That's he going to hold the door. Okay, does he have any weapons? Yes, he does.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Do you have a weapon? What kind of weapon does he have? He has a knife? Yeah. Huh? And right when he's trying to take him to water so he can get you. Put, is there anything in the bathroom that you could put in front of the door that way he can't get in? Are you injured?
Starting point is 00:01:24 Yes. You are injured? Do you need the ambulance? Okay, where are you injured at? What's wrong with you? My arm, I know that. Your arm is hurting? Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:37 I don't know what you're doing in my mouth. He's going to the rest of the apartment. Guys, what's worse than a domestic call? Going to a dude, domestic call. He's going to kill me, he's going to kill me right now. So there's urgency, right? There's urgency to get to this call, right? I don't know, I don't get this part.
Starting point is 00:02:05 This is how they attend the call. Skippity do da, skipity a... Over here? No, over there. Down here? No, maybe over here. When did this call come in? I came in about 15 minutes ago. Hopefully somebody's still alive. Hello? Police? Yeah. Everybody okay in here?
Starting point is 00:02:47 Hey, how are you, sir? You okay? Yeah, now, yeah. What happened? I'm going to come in and make sure there's nobody else in here, right? Is he here right now? Are you okay? Do you need your medical attention or anything? Boss, let me see your hands, make sure you got nothing on you? No, just not.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Okay. You got ID on you and everything, boss? Do me a favor. Can you step with me out in the hallway, please? Talk to... Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Stop! That's fine!
Starting point is 00:03:35 Two-seven cherry! Drop the knife! I need a bus for a twist! Let me tell you, there's nothing more scary than opening up a closet and there's bad guy. that scares the shit out of you. Well, maybe just me, but that would scare the living shit out of me. What?
Starting point is 00:03:58 What are you doing in there? He had an eight-inch knife. This is how big the knife was. It's hard to see, but this is how big. And I tried to make the picture as good as I can. But you see the knife. Ended up stabbing that other dude, a couple times, a couple times in the shoulder.
Starting point is 00:04:20 One cop fired four shots. The other cop fired three. The only reason, the victim is still alive how they exited it the apartment cop bad guy other cop they followed the bad guy out the door bad guy was in the middle do me a favor can you step with me out in the hallway please talk to if both the cops were ahead of bad guy bad guy would have sliced and diced this other guy but because the bad guy's in the middle the cop behind the bad guy is able to react to the bad guy taking the knife
Starting point is 00:05:02 out of the drawer do me a favor can you step moving out in the hallway please fucked in yeah because if that cop wasn't there bad guy wouldn't have ran around in a half circle bad guy would have went straight for the victim stabbed the living shit out of him guaranteed he'd be dead it bought the victim time it bought the victim time it bought the police time to pull out their gun and shoot them seven times anyway the victim is dudeless the bad guy went bye bye and it was a good day thanks for watching hit the subscribe button it's the green box skip it a tuita she must have been a beautiful bye bye oh just enjoying the day enjoying the day
