Hey guys, Clint here. I'm showing you this video. It has to do with shooting a guy.
Two cops shoot the same, try to shoot the same bad guy.
One cop hits him, the other cop misses.
It's a difference between good technique with a firearm and bad technique with a firearm.
There's only two things. At the end of this video, I'm going to tell you, there's only two things that you need to be a pretty good shooter.
Two things. If you concentrate on these two things, you will be a good shooter.
I'm going to brag for a second, okay, when I was a police officer.
My markmanship was excellent. I was a sharpshooter.
Yeah, that's right. I'm going to say it. I'm bragging. I was a sharpshooter.
I was good. And I was good because of these two reasons that I'm going to tell you.
Watch the video first. Watch the video.
Kenneth, what did you throw on the back of the other truck that was
in the back of the border up
well
they're saying that you took something out of your truck
threw it in the back of another truck
and then that truck left
I never did that at all
never did that
I swear to got on my life
you want to do Fieldsbride test for me
huh? No
you're not
okay
turn on put your hands behind your back
what?
Huh?
The champ light?
I'm sorry what?
What light did you say to turn on?
I didn't say turn off any light
I said, are you willing to do field sobriety tests?
I said no.
And I said turn around and put your hands behind your back then.
Why?
Because you're under arrest for DUI.
For what?
For what?
Yeah.
Because I think you're impaired.
I'm not impaired, officers.
Driving home to work.
Okay, then why won't you do field sobriety test?
I'm not doing it.
Huh?
Because I don't need to.
You don't need to.
I don't need to.
You're leaning on your truck.
You mean, you're absolutely.
You're absolutely right.
You're leaning on my side.
You did not.
You did not need to.
Okay.
So turn around, put your hands on your back.
No.
Okay.
No.
Ken.
Don't touch it!
Don't touch it!
Ken!
Control, Tom, 207.
What light of the place were we given to the suspect?
Control.
Shot's fired.
Control shots fired.
This video happened two years ago back in 2018, October.
Do you see the beginning of the video where the police officer comes up to bad guy?
They have a conversation.
and I know where the police officers coming from because it is so tiresome
when police pull people over and they want that person to provide a breast sample.
They give them the breath demand.
And then people say, some people say, no, you know what, I'm not going to.
Okay.
Well, if you don't, this is what I usually did.
If you don't, then you're going to be arrested for a refusal.
Refusal to provide a breast sample, which carries the same punishment as a
pair driving. But this cop, who's a veteran, sick and tired of explaining it to people,
so when bad guy says, I don't need to do that, the cop is having a little bit of fun and says,
you're right. You absolutely don't have to. Now, turn around, put your hands behind your back.
What? What do you mean? You know, you're under a rasp because you're not going to provide a sample.
Well, I don't have to. That's right. You don't. So put your arms behind your back.
you're under arrest
he's having a little fun
and I don't I don't blame him
gets tiresome after a while
trying to explain to people
I think his partner
I think this partner's name
I think his partner's name is Chad
when bad guy goes towards the bush
that police officer yells out
Chad and don't you like Chad's reaction immediately
looks up
immediately
I like that
I like that and
Chad
pulls out his gun
and throw
basically distracting shots
so it gives the officer
chance to take cover
and do what he has to do
I like that part of the video
I'm going to show you good shooting right now
watch this part
this is good shooting
I fucking love it
I love it
what he did
he made the first shot count
he
That was textbook.
That's how you shoot a gun.
His grip is fantastic.
I love the grip.
He takes about three seconds, two to three seconds, puts his gun up, lines his target up,
looks through his sights, and lines it up and takes his time.
About three seconds, good, because he knows he has, the first shot has to count guys,
always has to count
because if the first shot counts
then the second shot's going to count.
And so he takes his time
about three seconds
and trigger pull
nice and slow
and then the second one boom right after it.
Now I'm going to show you
bad shooting
and then I'm going to explain
the two things that will
make you a good shooter.
Hate to criticize. I always say that.
But that's bad shooting.
What are you doing?
Do you see how much shit he has in his hands?
In his left hand, it looks like he's got a notebook and something.
In his right hand, he's got a pen.
And he's holding under the gun with his pen there.
With this pen in between.
He's one-handed it.
He's one-handed it because he won't throw the shit away in his left hand.
It's going to be a bad shot.
Chances are if you shoot with one hand, it's going to be a bad shot.
He's farther away than his partner.
is to the bad guy. He shoots four times and it appears that he misses those four times.
It's a great distraction for his partner to take cover and take care of the bad guy. But you learn it
in training. You learn it in police training. And they do it, police do it so many times. You'll
see so many videos. They'll have items in their hand that they don't drop. And they're shooting
with those items. There's got to be more police scenarios where you start the
with shit in your hands and then gun you throw the shit away and grab the gun the pen in between
his hands there and his gun fucked them right up need two hands on the gun and do you notice this
this is when i've been watching a lot of videos lately it's like nine times out of ten every time
police fire the gun or shoot it they're quick to i got to go on my radio
Tell dispatch. Dispatch doesn't
fucking care. Take care of the bad guy.
He goes to reach for his radio
and actually talks
to, does a transmission
on the radio. Shots fired.
While bad guy is still alive.
Control. Shots fired. Control shots fired.
Deal with the fight.
Deal with the fight. Deal with a threat.
And then after a while,
sure. Tell dispatch.
Shots are fired. Dispatch doesn't care.
What's that going to do for you?
Even the first guy who did really well, who took the guy down with two shots, you see him.
You see him flinch for his radio.
You know, he's got to tell dispatch right away.
No, you don't.
You don't have to tell dispatch right away.
They don't give a fuck.
I shouldn't have said fuck.
Two things.
Two things to be good at shooting any gun.
Trigger pull.
Slow.
Slow.
And sights.
Those are two things that are.
I used to think of when I was shooting a gun. Sites, front, rear, lined up, trigger pull.
Easy, steady, don't move that gun. Trigger pole sights, trigger pole sights,
slower the better, and make the first shot count. I've got to pick some shit up now.
