It's a complete shit show. Sometimes shit shows happen when you're a police officer. Yeah. I wasn't going to say this. But maybe I will. When I worked in mission, we had a shit show night. We had three constables. And I hate using that word.

I shouldn't use that word because a guy, one of my bosses used that word. And to this day, I don't like him because of it. We're in mission. There's three constables taking calls. And me, the corporal, I'm the watch commander. And it was, we had about 50 calls that night, and it was a complete shit show. Everything went wrong. But I was proud of my guys, because even though pieces were falling apart everywhere,

at the end of the night, we were able to put those pieces back together, and we felt pretty good about ourselves. We felt pretty proud of ourselves. The next shift, I start my next shift, and the staff sergeant goes past my desk and goes, I heard it was a real shit show last night. Like, what the... What? I said, no, no, it wasn't.

We actually did pretty good. We did a really good job. I thought it was going to get a reward for it, actually. Well, it's not what I heard. I heard it was a real shit show. Fuck off. So I hate using that word, shit show.

Policing. It happens. You have a rough night. What are you supposed to do with three constables? You're short as a watch and nobody's coming in for overtime. What are you supposed to do? You got to make it work and we made it work. So whenever I hear the word shit show, I think of that former boss, Dave was his name. Dave.
