Hey guys, Clint here. How you doing? I gotta stop making that sound, man. Summer is coming to an end, right? Is it over? Yeah, probably. It's smoky. It's smoky. What a year, right? What a year. 2020. You can't even see the sun right now because of the Oregon fires, the California fires, which are really sad. Some people have died and it's sad. And yeah, we got lots of fires going on right now. I was just, this is going to be short. I was just thinking, I was thinking about the summer. And how the summer did I have a good summer? Did you guys have a good summer?

I don't know. I don't want summer to be over, so I guess I did have a good summer. Summer was good. I guess. The whole year has been weird, though, 2020. I was thinking about the, So many people are uptight. Everybody's uptight right now. My neighbors aren't talking to me.

I got neighbors all out here at the lake. We've got neighbors all around us. Well, they're actually quite far away, but they're neighbors over there, neighbors over there, and neighbors behind us. And I'm thinking, maybe it's me. But they sure don't like us. But what have I done? I've been trying to break it down, figuring it out.

I hate it when people don't like me. Okay, really that's what it comes down to, right, in life? That's all anybody ever wants is to be liked. That's all I want, I just want to be liked. Guess I'm just not that likable sometimes. Maybe most of the time, I don't know. But I think that's all anybody ever wants in life is to be liked. Like, if you had a choice, you had to tick a box.

Happiness or likeness? You can be happy or you can be liked. I don't know, I'd pick. I'd rather be liked. And I don't usually come across likable. I guess. My neighbors don't like me. They don't like my fam.

They don't like my dog. I've never... We got the tiniest dog? I don't know. Neighbor over there. Mad at us because the dog... Only fuck. Really? Just get messages on my, I love it when you guys comment on my stuff,

except for the other comment that I got. I got a comment. I got some flack about the last video about the COVID. Maybe I shouldn't have done it. I was just trying to explain that 68% of the population who gets COVID is 40 and up. That's all I was trying to say. Okay. They've been ruling. The 40 and uppers have been ruling for every month except August. And what do they do? They probably do. young people, the people under 40 who aren't. I'm not going to get back into it, but they end up punishing them. That's my whole point. One guy is like, yeah, how about the hospitals? Hospitals are going to be flooded. How are you going to feel about that? I don't want hospitals to be flooded,

okay? I don't. It's not, by the way, the hospitals have never been so dead in history. Okay, in all of possible history, they are dead. The nurses, someone like that, the nurses, I was up there not too long ago. I've never seen a happy ER nurse. They're happy up there. They're actually happy because they're not overworked. I'm not saying they're not busy, okay?

Hey, hey, it's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying they're not busy. Okay, they're not busy or as busy. Anyways, my dog, we pay two grand for my dog. $2,000. I'm outside by that. I'm doing the garbage thing. I'm putting the garbage thing out.

And my neighbor comes up, Clint, yeah, your dog. Is that a rescue dog? And I'm like, I'm thinking, I paid $2,000 for this dog and you think it's a rescue dog. And I said, rescue dog. Yeah, he just sits there and barks at us.

It piss me off. Maybe I'm sensitive, but I didn't even answer him. and then I'm on the deck and he's like Get out of here I said what's going on Your dog's over here sniffing the flowers I just can't get over that one

He's mad because he's sniffing the flowers I just been thinking about the neighbors Oh I don't even know I'm getting into this There's a neighbor that lives up there They're about 150 150 feet away from us And I got an embankment Okay and it's 5.55 p.m. in the summertime.

And I tell my buddy who's sitting on the deck, I said, you've got to listen to ACDC, whole lot of Rosie, listen to this guitar. And we crank it. But it's just a little, you know, wireless system. And I crank it. I never play music on the deck. We're not loud.

We're only here two months out of the year. They're here for 12. Like suck it up a bit, right? Anyways, I crank it. and my buddy goes there's somebody coming down your embankment and I see this guy and he's he's in my he's in my bushes he's in my bushes and I'm like it's the neighbor the other neighbor and I'm like can can I help you it's gone a while man and I said yeah we're just we're just playing one song yeah I heard them all last night and I'm like yeah well you'll live like like

For him to actually complain out of his day over one loud song, I don't know. Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm the weirdo. Maybe I'm the weirdo. Maybe I am. A couple weeks ago, I see her coming down the embankment. In my bushes. She's in my bushes.

And I'm like, hey, can I help you? Yeah, hi, I think you're a dog. I think there's a hole in your gate. PC's getting out and he's coming up here. And doing what? I don't know. Like, oh, okay, I'll fix the hole in the gate. Okay. Okay.

Jesus. And then the guy that wants to beat me up. Like behind us, the other neighbor. Who called me a pussy. I'm right here. I'm like, holy shit, man. Why does everybody hate me? They hate us.

I got myself a police dog, but he's a toy one. I don't want one of those big ones. Okay, get going. Search. Search. Had a guy in Duncan and dog handler. He used to always say that. Take his dog out of his truck.

Search. Search. I forget that guy's name. What was his name? Dog handler and Duncan. For some reason, I think his dog was named Bear. What was his name? Anyways, I remember a story.

Just thought of it. I'm two weeks in. I'm two weeks in, and I'm two weeks in, in this dog. He has bald. He lived in Ladysmith. And man, those dog handlers. Holy shit, they're crazy. Right? Good guys, though. I'm, uh, he used me as a guinea pig and I'll never forget it. I don't, I don't want to pet a police dog, okay? I'm not interested in petting your police dog or talking to it or giving it a cookie or whatever, okay? Just, Frank. I think that's what is, or is that his last name?

I don't know. I'm guessing. I might have it wrong. Roberts or something like that. I can't remember. But I got a kick out of Frank, okay? Every time we call the dog, it would take 20 minutes, 25 minutes for him to get to us because he lived in the ladiesmith. That I just couldn't understand. But he was allowed to live there. So he did. Two weeks in, he goes, hey, Clint, I need you to do me a favor. I'm training my dog outside the detachment of Duncan. we're out in the back and he i put on this sleeve that's i don't know it is it's supposed to protect you in case the dog bites onto you dog's not going to touch you dog's not going to bite onto you i just want the dog to see you and it gives you an erect arm right your arm is sticking way out and it's it's kind

of padded but it's not fully padded i've never seen a police dog before and i'm behind cells in the parking lot of duncan and he goes okay what i'm want you to do is just come over here. Croach beside the vehicle. So here's the vehicle. Okay. And here's me. I'm crouched down. Frank's over here. He's going to walk with the dog. I don't know what's going on. I don't have a clue. I don't know what's going to happen. Nothing's going to happen, right? He told me nothing's going to happen. So I'm sitting there with my erect arms straight. You can see my arm and I'm looking and here comes Frank he's coming around the detachment and he's he's got bear I think that's his name and he's search search and I remember thinking well don't search too much

what's going what's happening here and I see them going past the front of the car I see the dog the dog looks at me head straight for me as fast as he can I got a police dog come and straight for me. I don't know what to do. Frank didn't tell me anything. I know Frank did it on purpose. And as I'm standing up, Frank yells at me. Like I learned in like less than three seconds. Frank yells at me. Stick out your arm. That's padded. Like don't stick out the other arm. I guess I got to stick out my arm now. And so I get up, I kind of turn my back. And I stick out my, this dog, grabs onto that padding, thank God the padding, digs his teeth into my arm and it hurt.

It hurt. It bruised. And wow. Those suckers are powerful, man. And I got this dog dangling from me. Why am I telling this story? And then Frank, you know, runs up and gets the dog off my, uh, he can't stop laughing like it was really funny.

Like, yeah. Okay. Yeah. hilarious what's a point of my story I was talking about dogs that pissed me off though that scared the living shit out of me I've seen so many dogs caught bite cops that happens so happens a lot yeah somebody like that's great uh I like that you're commenting um yeah so I guess that's my dog story so I got one gotta wipe my moist lips. You know I notice when I talk, I get moist lips. They're all moist.

2020. Let's just get 2020 over with, shall we? Did I just use the word shell? Let's get it over with. Oh, my. What a year. What a year? What's going to happen? What's going to happen? I don't know. I don't know. I wasn't going to bring this. I don't like being negative. I think it was because of the job that. I used to do that I'm trying to be more positive. Like everybody says you got to be more positive and I always say, why? Why do you got to think positively? But I guess you do. I don't know.

I'm trying to be, I'll try that way. But I think it was a job that I used to do brought out a lot of negativity. And I'm going to bring up something negative, I think. National Police Federation. Okay, I just stumbled upon this by accident. And I'm not doing, I don't want to do a conspiracy theory or anything like that. but I just so happened it's they're doing videos

MPF's doing videos on YouTube you can see it it's bargaining 101 or something like that collective bargaining 101 and this guy he's he's about this big for some reason and can't you make yourself bigger and he's talking he's kind of teaching everybody because it's going to be a union and he's going through things and

he's he kind of brings up examples of raises Okay. The raises have been bad, right? I don't even know. When was the last time we got a raise? 2015, I'm guessing. I don't even know. Or maybe it was 2017. 2.5% was something crazy. And then everybody said, I'm not going to wear my yellow stripe to work. I remember being a mission. It was either 2014 or 2015. Eddie McDonald came to our briefing one morning. And I like Eddie. Okay. And I remember him making mention that they're going to be asking for an 18% raise. Again, I'm not, I like Eddie McDonald.

I've always liked him. You know, it's funny. Eddie McDonald once said to me, and I'll never forget it. I'm in the watch commander office doing my watch commander duties. And I don't know why he started talking about this, but he said, and just so you know, everybody here, everybody, everybody, every cop has PTSD. They just don't know it. I always thought that.

I'd always stuck in my head. Why am I telling you that? I don't know. Maybe he's right. Maybe he's wrong. I don't know. It doesn't matter. But I always thought of that.

Yeah, maybe everybody really does. Maybe. So, came to our briefing, said 18%. And I come across this video. They're teaching you about collective bargaining. Yeah, collective bargaining.

It's about five seconds long. I want to show it to you. So to give an example, Suppose an employer offers a 2% wage increase. The union, excuse me, he says, I want 5%. The employer's not allowed to say, I'm so offended by your 5% ask that I'm reducing my proposal to 1%. 5%.

I don't, maybe I'm just overthinking this. But why is he saying 2% and 5% as an extent? Don't you mean 22%, 25%, you mean, did you forget the 2% in front of the 5? maybe I'm reading too much into it. Hey, the raise affects me too. I didn't. I haven't. I'm hoping they backdate the raises.

Right. Hey, yeah, right. But you know they're not going to. But why is he saying 2% and 5%? Maybe he's just honestly using an example. But I guess I just wanted to hear him say 20%. You know what I mean? Made by the other side.

So for example, employers. says we'll offer two, union says, I want five, but I also want to double the overtime rate. We're getting one and a half for overtime. I want three times for overtime. The employer is allowed to that point to say, all right, two percent's off the table. We're going back to one percent, but I'm going to talk to you about the overtime. I'm willing to increase the overtime from time and a half to double time. No. I don't know, guys. I don't know what kind of raise you're going to get. I don't get as a former crop, I didn't care about overtime after a while. I don't give a shit. I don't give a shit if you pay quadruple

for overtime. If I was still a cop, I'd be like, I want my race. I don't give a shit about anything else. I want a big raise. I'm not going to be happy unless it's over 20%. If I was still a cop, that's what I'd be thinking. What's it going to be? Hopefully it's good. I sure hope it is. I don't know why, because I'm not a cop anymore, but I want it to be good. To keep up, it has to be over 20. When I first started, they told me we were the top, we're going to be the top three, RCMP were going to be the top three, top three, no matter what. There was a memorandum actually in the federal government that there was an understanding that that's, and that's what it was for a few years.

And then it stopped. It froze. We went to, I don't know, something like number 57 in 2015 and now it's like 125. To keep up, it has to be over 20%. The race has got to be over 20%. Are you guys going to show up in jeans to work? Guaranteed. anything less

if I was still a cop I wouldn't be happy 5 I don't know 5% 1% 1% why 2% what are they going to ask for where are they going to get let's just say that it's 7%

is that is that even let's let's say it's as low as 7% you guys get 7% another conspiracy theory but okay do you know I have a feeling a lot of police officers

RCMP right now are holding out for the raise, they get the raise, and then they're gone. They're retired. Like me, I'm retired. They're going to retire. Depot's been shut down. Police are overworked. They're short.

There has to be such a huge shortage right now with RCMP members. If they get 7% or even 10, all these people are going to retire. We're already short. going to become shorter who's going to apply who's going to apply you're racist

you got a commission maybe I'm stretching but can you see the RCMP not being RCP anymore after 10 or 12 years maybe I'm stretching you know maybe that's ridiculous to think

but I don't know I don't know what would entice anybody to want to be an RCMP officer when they can't keep up to the cost of milk. I'm not saying it's going to happen. Hopefully you get your 20%, 22%, 25% how about that?

I mean, really. But come on. You got Trudeau calling you a racist. Your own boss saying there's absolutely systemic racism, even though she can't give a definition. They can't give a definition. Have you noticed? It's easy to say, but they can't define what they're talking about.

These people can't give a definition of systemic racism because it doesn't exist. It doesn't exist. There's something floating around in the air. They don't even know what they're saying. But you've got your own boss saying it. You got the Prime Minister of Canada saying it. Are they going to give you a race? You racist?

You racist bastards? I don't know. I don't know. Hopefully they do. I sure hope so. Let's just get 2020, 2020 over with start new. We got what seven months till April or something like that. Something like that.

Then we could go on vacation. There'll be a vaccine. We can have sex again. Hug our family members. Yeah. Might be a long winter. But 2021 is going to be good. It's going to be good.

Has to be. Negative Nancy. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer. It's just when I see videos like this, I immediately think negatively. Like, why are you saying 1%? Why are you saying 5%? Why aren't you saying 25% or 20%? I just, that's my nature. I got to work on that.
