The problem is we spent nearly $7 trillion, and that's what's trying to cover climate here, guys.
We do cover climate.
Uh-uh.
No, no.
Clinton Jaws.
I was looking forward to watching The View today, because Teddy Cruz was on it, and we all remember what happened three years ago.
In the United States, inflation has one cause and one cause only.
The problem is we spent nearly $7 trillion, and that's what's trying to do cover climate here, guys.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Ladies, ladies, excuse us. Let us do our job. Let us do our job.
We hear what you have to say, but you gotta go.
You gotta go.
People at home are saying, okay, is my life better today than it was two years ago?
And I think for the vast majority of Americans, the answer is no.
A lot of folks in the media that try to, anytime a Republican is in front of a TV camera,
try to say the election was fair and square and legitimate.
You know who y'all don't do that too?
You don't do it to Hillary Clinton who stood up and said,
Trump stole the election.
They didn't storm the capital.
They didn't try to kill my former president.
Who said, who said that the election was stolen.
They sat here and said it was illegitimate.
And you guys were fine with it.
Okay, so it's illegitimate when Republicans win, but not when Democrat.
No.
You guys don't pay any attention to it.
That's a great talking point.
I don't do talking points.
This is just how I feel.
But it happens not to be true.
Oh, honey.
So if you look at you guys at the beginning of the show had this long discussion about, is Donald Trump going to tell you
testify under oath. Of course he's not. Nobody thinks he is. For the subpoena, he was held in contempt.
And nothing. Give me one example. Bill Barr, real quick. Okay, you said a name. Let me get a chance to get it.
Okay, weaponized. Give me the target that was persecuted, because I can tell you.
You guys have no idea the satisfaction I get when somebody shuts down Sunny Austin. They kind of get into it again today.
But first, Whoopie has to scold the audience once again. Let's take a look.
Oh, my God. What? We got to rewind.
Find that.
Look at Joy.
Miserable.
Oh, it's time to quit.
Welcome to the view, y'all.
Let's get started.
Because Republicans are feeling a little bit of heat heading into the midterms.
So tonight.
Tonight.
You know who will be the headliner at the very first ever Republican midterm convention.
Marco Rubio?
Other speakers include VP Jady Vance,
health secretary, R.F.K. Jr.
And our guest later on in the show, Senator Ted Cruz.
But, uh-uh. No, no, no, no. You know what? Let's look.
This is a place where Barbara Walters made sure that anybody who wanted to come and have a good conversation.
I miss her.
Could come.
We want people to come, and we want to engage that.
We don't agree with them always.
We don't, we don't jail with them always,
but we are respectful, and I know you will be too.
I know you will be.
We'll see.
But sometimes, you know, stuff, it's like a burr.
It comes up, you want to go, ooh.
And so just swallow it back down.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's just bring the big boy out.
But first, I got to show you guys some words.
of wisdom. He said the election. And he actually did the job. Yes. He actually got stuff done.
But, you know, it was what it was. Don't let anybody tell you that just because they spent all that
money, it's not worth voting. Get your behinds out there because this is, this is serious.
We're in the crunch. We're in the crunch. He doesn't care about the country. He cares about
his pocket. Well, and you know what? He's made enough money. He can retire now. I think so.
You know, I'll say let it go, go on and retire.
You got your $2 billion or whatever you got.
We can't say the same thing because we're working every day.
Yeah, they're not filthy, Rich.
Oh my God.
Come on, Cruz.
Welcome.
Somebody.
I have the first.
You have the first question, George.
Before I ask that, I'd like to know, what did you get for a Christmas from Trump?
You know, not a darn thing.
I'm waiting.
I think it's in the mail.
The check is in the mail.
I certainly hope so.
Don't wait too long.
Let's forward to the good part.
All right, so you heard we were talking about before you came out.
The Republican National Convention's midterm event begins tonight in your home state of Texas,
and the president is asking voters to pretend it's him on the ballot.
Okay, considering that his approval ratings are lower than my boobs at this point.
She's got three years left.
Maybe, too.
I'm just going to stay far away from that.
I would.
Just let him go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Is that a great idea?
Well, look, I think the midterms are going to come down to turnout.
Yeah.
I think the left is going to show up.
The left is angry.
They can't stand Trump.
They're going to show up regardless.
The big open question is, do Republicans show up?
And I think motivating Republicans to show up.
That's historically why a midterm goes badly for the party in power,
is whoever's out of power is usually angry and they're motivated because they don't like the guy who's in power.
And the challenge on the Republican side is you've got some conservatives who are mad at some things.
You've got some moderates who are mad at some things.
And if we're divided and running around, if one side stays home and the other side shows up, that tends to be who wins.
So I think Trump is trying to motivate Republicans.
And I would also say, like my state of Texas, I would just say the common sense middle, like regular people to come out and vote.
If they show up, I feel a lot better about the election.
If they don't, if it's just the people who are angry, then I think it'll be a,
a blue wave.
Well, let me ask you this, Senator, because in August, Trump said we're going to bring prices
way down and we're going to get it done fast.
Right here's the best part, guys.
But first, speaking about money, true story.
Years ago, my aunt told me to buy gold and silver.
The dollar's going to be worthless, Clint.
And now today, the U.S. national debt is at $40 trillion, a number that you can't even
wrap your mind around.
We're printing money like it's confetti.
when the world's reserve currency is being debased by its own government and when the cost of living is through the roof you've got to ask yourself what's your money actually worth can i recommend taking a closer look at gold and silver the original currencies they can't be printed they can't be debased and they've never been at zero and that is why i partnered with lear capital the leader in precious metals investing thirty years experience a plus rating with a better business bureau you guys need to get their free gold

way down and we're going to get it done fast. Then he also said in August for you to pay a tiny little
bit more for your gasoline, just remember you're doing it so that a very evil country cannot
have a nuclear weapon. So remember that when you have to pay a little bit more like for, you're
$4. It's okay. $4 a gallon. Do you know where it's $5.75 a gallon? Canada. Who's complaining
about it? Nobody. In fact, Canadians voted for it. Canada is becoming a terrible
place to live. Not one Canadian complaining. Gas prices are soaring $5 in some areas of the
country because of the Iran war and an escalating tariff war now with Canada. What grade from A to F
would you give the president on the economy and prices? Prices especially. Look, if you look at
prices, let's take gas prices. When Biden was president, gas prices were over $5 a gallon.
When Trump came in, they dropped to about three bucks a gallon.
They're now about four bucks a gallon.
So there's still about...
Five near me.
Well, but that's because New York and New Jersey and California, they're about $3.50 in Texas.
No, and diesel is even... Ohio is about six.
Diesel is higher, but they're still about $1 a gallon less than they were under Biden.
But they are more than they were the first year of Trump.
That is an improvement.
I can tell you, the data showed during the four years Biden was president,
median family income did not move at all.
So is that like a D?
No, it's no, it's not a D.
I actually think if you look at the biggest tax cut in American history that was passed,
if you look at trillions of dollars of new investment,
and I'll tell you, look, facts matter.
Think about how screwed America would be if Biden was still there.
And I'll tell you, look, facts matter.
See?
I would give him an A.
No, no, come on.
Look, come on, it's us.
It's just us.
It's just us.
It's just us.
I recognize that what,
The day he came in, you guys didn't like him, and you still don't like him.
That's okay.
That's the beauty of democracy.
You can have different views.
I want to actually ask you, Senator, we're about...
Imagine if he would have said A-plus.
This really surprised me.
I didn't expect him to say this about the W-A-R.
Tell me what you think about his suggestion here, how to end it.
How do we know it ends them?
Because, you know, last summer we had, we destroyed it.
Now we're back in.
We've got the oil and the Hormuz being blocked.
What, where does it end?
I think the objective should be regime.
collapse. So what I've been urging the president to do, which we haven't done yet, is to arm the
protesters. Look, we're not going to send American boots on the ground. President Trump's not
going to do that. I don't think he should do that. But at the beginning of this outset, a conflict,
the regime somewhere between 10,000 and 40,000 protesters. And it's not fair to expect a
protester with Iraq to stand up to soldiers with a machine gun. A short clip from Fox. Thanks for
watching, guys. Bye-bye. So I, you know, I appreciate it.
you going in and trying to educate that other side to what's going on. But I'm kind of curious.
I know at one point Anna Navarro apologized that it would happen on the show. What happened during
the commercials? What did they say to you during the commercials?
Look, I think they were embarrassed that they had. There were two instances where they had protesters
that began screaming and cursing and yelling. FU, FU, I mean, they were, well, it's not clear
to me, even the protesters were necessarily triggered by.
me, they were screaming about climate change.
You know, I laughed.
I said, it's a good thing there's not a Van Gogh hanging on the wall.
These guys would be throwing soup.
I mean, I mean, it did, you know, they were kind of nuts.
And I think the hosts were a little bit rattled.
They said in the entire history of the show, they'd never had anyone do that.
It was an interesting difference between politics and the media.
I think they were more rattled than I was.
I'm like, look, this is politics.
He used to get and yell at it.
You know, and it's like, you know, I sort of laugh and keep on going.
and that's just part of the world we live in now.
The night before, I'd been in New York City at Yankee Stadium
where my Astros swept the Yankees in game four,
I got to admit some of the Yankees fans were, shall we say,
even less friendly than the protesters.
They advised that I do things that I'm pretty sure anatomically impossible.
But I tried to smile and enjoy it,
and, you know, winning a baseball game and go to the World Series
is not a terrible thing.
Yeah, well, congratulations on that.
You know what's interesting.
When it comes to debates or not even debates,
when it comes to you on stage as candidates,
you have to think about bringing security with you now
because someone can storm the stage.
Live TV shows when they have an audience,
they're going to have to think about who's in their audience.
