Starting point is 00:00:00 Rachel Maddo, it's a pleasure to welcome you to on the coast today. Why? Why is it a pleasure? It's a real pleasure to be here. Thank you so much for having me. Well, you're one of America's most prominent journalists, prominent voices. No, she's not. She's famous for her long neck. That's it. ...from Canadians in Vancouver about your ideas for what we can do to try to clean up some of this mess we've got. Well, again, you... You don't think Canada has a mess?
Starting point is 00:00:25 It's so not okay. It's so not okay. They actually told me that they had done research on him. They finally agreed to go and ask this person to leave the stage and had security waiting to escort him out. I love an apology. My name is Alex Frederick Migno. My pronouncese, they them. Clinton Jaws, I'm wound up.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I'm actually wound up with what I just found out, what I just, I'm going to show you. Rachel Maddow is coming to Canada. Before we start, can I just say something? Can I just say something? And please like this video. It's the only thing I care about. I want to say sorry to my brother. That's my brother there.
Starting point is 00:01:19 I'm sorry, brother. He sent me a picture through text message yesterday. And he's wondering why I got an up-close picture of his growing. I didn't realize. I didn't realize it was right there. Maybe I should put this picture on the other side. By the way, guys, if you want to stick around at the end of this video, I'm going to explain that picture,
Starting point is 00:01:41 and I'm going to explain that picture. Canada is a complete mess. Now, Rachel Maddow is going to go to Canada and teach you guys, Canada. She's going to teach you on what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong. This is why Canada will always be a woke nation. Because Rachel, they're allowing, they're allowing,
Starting point is 00:02:08 they kicked out Rob Schneider. They actually kicked Rob Schneider out of Canada. Canada. And they're bringing in Rachel Madd out. They kicked out Rob because this guy complained about his stand-up. It's so not okay. They actually told me that they had done research on him. They finally agreed to go and ask this person to leave the stage and had security waiting to escort him out. I love an apology. At first, they were incredibly dejective and sort of saying, well, we're not going to do anything and we hired this guy and lots of people are laughing. And so lots of people are laughing, except for him.
Starting point is 00:02:47 And then Rob's on Tucker Carlson and he tells the full story. That's what thing they complained about. And people were laughing at that outrageous, you know, humor. The Canadians were mad that the audience laughed. So one guy who was the same guy in all the complaining. And I'm glad I did it. And I do it again if you let me back in the country. Which I assume they won't.
Starting point is 00:03:04 I will not be allowed back in the country. Just for hate speech. For jokes. You guys don't even understand how screwed up Canada is. This thing here sued a salon. You want to know why? My name is Alex Frederick Migno. My pronouncese deem. Alex Frederick Mignon says they are satisfied with a ruling by Quebec's human rights tribunal. Migno complained that a salon's online booking system was discriminatory to non-binary customers.
Starting point is 00:03:32 It was ordered to pay $500. He got 500 bucks. To see the tribunal side with me on that and say that, you know what, non-binary people shouldn't be forced to pick men or women. And it's not fair for them. He was so... He was upset because he wanted to go to salon. His only choice was to pick between two genders.
Starting point is 00:03:52 So he sues him and wins 500 bucks. And I don't even know what it is. I don't know what it is. I'm just, I'm being honest. I'm going to get sued. So relieved. And it's not fair for them. I was so relieved and happy to hear that.
Starting point is 00:04:09 This is Canada. It all started two years ago. Two years ago. book a haircut at Station 10 Salon in Longuey. Customers are asked to choose whether it's for men, women, children, or someone with a beard or braids, something Migno refused to do. It's a repetition of a trauma that I keep living over and over again. And it cuts me off from society.
Starting point is 00:04:33 They filed a complaint with Quebec's Human Rights Commission. The salon offered Migno three free haircuts and changed its website to include... They said, hey, dude... They said, hey, we'll give you three free haircuts. Not good enough. A non-gendered option. Its co-owner says he surprised the issue wound up in court. Be careful.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Well, it's $500. It's not a big amount, but it is a precedent. And many, even our clients are sending us money, asking us or telling us we should fight back in appeals. But we're a small business. We're not politicians. The matter prompted reaction at the National Assembly. the entrepreneur has kind of
Starting point is 00:05:17 have taken the business tried to find a solution, says the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party. In Quebec, the person non-binary people exist, points out, Mano Massey. They do? Since there's a chance of appeal,
Starting point is 00:05:32 we're not going to comment any further. This human rights lawyer says the tribunal ruling isn't binding compared to a court ruling, but it could influence businesses in the future. People bring complaints is not only complaints is not only to seek justice for themselves. Justice. But part of the work that human rights commissions and tribunals do is to try to make sure that,
Starting point is 00:05:54 you know, you don't have to litigate and relitigate things all over again. The salon's owners say they'll probably pay the 500 so they can move on. Wackadoodle do. And now this twat, she's coming to Canada. And she's speaking with the CBC right now. who I have a huge problem with. And after this video, I don't think, you know, okay, I've never told anybody this. CBC's coming to my house in March.
Starting point is 00:06:27 They want to interview me after this video. I'm pretty sure they might cancel. Let's listen to this idiotic conversation between two, I won't say it. My back is starting to go and my knees, they're cracking and popping like it's nobody's business. up from the table the other night. The woman is like, what was that sound? It was my knees. She actually thought it was a dog chewing on a carrot. I'm not one of those sprung chickens anymore. I actually watch. I'm careful when I go down the stairs. This is true. Three months ago, my wife started drinking these collagen drinks, and she got me hooked on them. Now she's all
Starting point is 00:07:06 excited because now they're my sponsor, Bub's naturals. Collagen is the stuff our bodies lose as we age, and it's what keeps our joints moving smoothly. Our skin healthy, and we're cut. We're time shorter. I add this stuff to my coffee and it's been a game changer. I've noticed less stiffness when I wake up. My muscles recover faster after workouts and honestly, I don't feel like I need a warm up just to get off the couch anymore. And the best part, it's clean. No sugars, no fillers. NSF certified for sports and it mixes instantly. No clumps, no mess. It's just a simple way to support your body so you could keep on moving and feeling good without worrying about all those aches that slow you down. Live better, live longer with Bubbs Naturals. Right now you can get 20% off if you use
Starting point is 00:07:50 the code word jaws at bubs naturals.com. Your skin, joints and hair will thank you. Rachel Maddo, it's a pleasure to welcome you to on the coast today. Why? Why is it a pleasure? It's a real pleasure to be here. Thank you so much for having me. Well, you're one of America's most prominent journalists, prominent voices. No, she's not. She's famous for her long neck. That's it. Very, very important. Let's pass back. Did you imagine kissing that neck? You'd be sucking all night, though, wouldn't you be? She'd be like, here, here, here, all over, all over.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Kidding me? I'll be here for a year. Given the tensions between our countries right now, just what are you reflecting on right now in advance of your trip here to Vancouver? What do you reflect on? Well, I am, it's a good question. It is? You know, my mom's Canadian.
Starting point is 00:08:39 I feel a real. You know, I just thought of something. What if she's, what if she's? What if she? He's the one that's going to interview me. But right now, as an American, traveling abroad, I feel like we have a lot to answer for. We picked this government. We picked this president.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Because she's got the answers. We picked this government. We picked this president through a free and fair election. Thank God. And the people of this country and all the other institutions of this country, I think, sort of have a responsibility to try to make sure the rest of the world really knows what's going on. And also to know that she's going to. to UBC to tell the students what's really going on, guys. And that's what makes me angry.
Starting point is 00:09:23 That's what keeps Canada woke is people like this. That's who they're inviting. They're not, UBC, one of the largest universities in Canada, isn't inviting a conservative voice. They would never do that. They would never invite a Canadian conservative voice. They invite the woke to continue to. to brainwash students.
Starting point is 00:09:47 They're paying her money. To make sure the rest of the world really knows what's going on. And also to know that our government isn't our whole country and that there's a lot going on in the United States, in US politics right now about people trying to figure out a way to mitigate a lot of the harms that are being caused by our president. A lot of harms. And I'm hoping to talk about that.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And also hear from Canadians in Vancouver about your ideas for what we can do to try try to clean up some of this mess we've got. Well, again, you don't think Canada has a mess? Pick up, you want to learn? Pick up the phone. She's going to come here to learn. No, you're coming here for a paycheck.
Starting point is 00:10:29 America are the ones that got it right. Canada doesn't. Take it from this chick. That fleed America, the nut job, to make a better life in Canada. But the situation in Canada is absolutely dire for Americans who don't know. the housing crisis here is worse than in the United States. I lived in L.A. for six years, and I have not faced rent as bad as here.
Starting point is 00:10:57 She's a scholar of the far right, but she can't be a scholar of Canada before she moves there. Because obviously, she's fleeing the U.S. because it's so horrible here. Yeah, you go to Canada, and you find out that it's worse there than it is here in America. I mean, Canada is far left. When my partner, our cat, and our dog fled to the United States, we headed north with the goal of being close to our families are located, which is on the west coast. So we are now in British Columbia. More specifically, we are in the Sea of Sky Highway in the Greater Vancouver area. We are attempting to find housing in the western side of this region.
Starting point is 00:11:42 But while you're here on a visitor visa, you can't work. So we are currently surviving off of what savings we could get together before we fled. She knows she can't make money. Let me get this. You cannot work. You can't work there. Why? Because you're not a citizen, right?
Starting point is 00:12:04 But here in the United States, that's racist, right? And in Canada, I think it's actually the cost of living crisis is worse here, especially when you are shut out of. the health care system. Rachel Maddo's going to come here to learn. Any of the resources that Canadians have access to you. We are looking for more than a room, but one bedroom, two bedroom for free or below market rate. And I know that's a huge ask for free.
Starting point is 00:12:34 But you're an idiot. With a one bedroom, two bedroom, let us know we can pay rent, but it would probably have to be below market. And someone call immigration. Please don't know if that's possible. You can leave a comment and I'll get in touch with you. or DM me. I will be checking my messages regularly.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I will pay paying very close attention to this post. If we can't find housing, we're going to have to leave. And I don't know where we'll go. Then leave. What do you mean? Hopefully you don't come back to the United States. She doesn't know where she's going to go. She moved closer to a family.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Go to your family. But Rachel Maddo's going to come to Canada. And ask how, she's going to ask Canadians. How can we, we need your advice, Canada. how can we fix our problems right you're from Canadians in Vancouver about your ideas for what we can do to try to clean up some of this mess we've got well again you you've said that again you don't have a mess Canada's the one with a mess she's going to bring her sickness to Canada valuable I'm really looking forward to speaking with students for example at UBC before the event
Starting point is 00:13:40 last next week and to take questions both from the moderator I'm going to be on stage with but also from people in the audience. I'm, I sort of feel like I'm all ears. Americans right now, particularly Americans who are opposed to what's happening in our government, I think need all the best ideas we can get from anywhere. So it's important to be listening now more than ever. You know, we talk often amongst our own team, you know, putting together a daily radio show here at CBC Vancouver about how ever since Donald Trump's re-election,
Starting point is 00:14:10 it feels like the pace, just the overall pace, the big breaking news has excellent. accelerated. It's so ramped up. It's been nonstop. And not only... Ramped up, nonstop. Biden was asleep for four years. Trump comes in, wakes everybody up and does stuff. When you do stuff and you don't do stuff for four years, then you finally do stuff, yeah, it's going to be a lot of news. That, it seems like it's more and more difficult to know just what's true, what's not true, what do we follow here? What's not true? How do you feel that as a broadcaster? Oh, she's going to talk about the truth. It's very, very present. All the time.
Starting point is 00:14:47 And I think Rachel Maddow knows all about the truth, right guys? Now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person. A vaccinated person gets exposed to the virus. The virus does not infect them. The virus cannot then use that person to go anywhere else. It cannot use a vaccinated person as a host to go get more people. That means the vaccine. vaccines will get us to the end of this.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Good advice. Good advice. Before we let you go, you know how excited we were here on this side of the border to hear that you were a fan of heated rivalry. So are you team Shane Hollander or team Ilya Rosenov? The answer, Gloria, is yes. I'm actually, I'm so into it and I'm so in withdrawal that I have started to read the books. I am a terrible person who saw the series before reading the books.
Starting point is 00:15:45 I am now going back to the beginning. beginning and reading all of the books. Nothing can stop me. Rachel Maddo, what a pleasure to speak with you, and we look forward to seeing you here in Vancouver next week. Gloria, thank you so much. It's real pleasure to be here. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:58 That's Rachel Maddo, an American journalist and broadcaster, and she will be giving a talk at UBC's Chan Center coming up next Thursday. Again, this is part of the Lind Initiative. It's presented by the UBC School of Public. Sure. You know, you know, I know this video is not. going to do anything but i wish it did for ubc ubc you sickos i wish i could swear right now you're gross you're the problem with canada that you would invite this i don't like saying bad even though
Starting point is 00:16:37 she's a girl kind of i don't like saying bad things about girls even that you would invite this silly billy you're wrong you're wrong you shouldn't do it you shouldn't do it you shouldn't do it You are changing students, minds. You have control to do that. And that is what you're doing. Because you're not playing the other audience. You're only playing one audience. And that's why Canada will always be woke forever.
Starting point is 00:17:11 I hear my wife laughing upstairs. She's laughing at me. Canada needs a Charlie Kirk. That's what Canada needs. And they don't have it. They don't have it. Nobody has guts to do it. For 15 years, it's been the liberal government in Canada,
Starting point is 00:17:40 and it'll be like that for another 15 years. You want to see my pictures? That's my brother and his cock and balls. That's me with my favorite sweater. And that's my sister. And it's an 80s photo. It's an 80s photo. We're at my parents' house.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Well, my mom's house because my dad, he went away. He passed away a couple years ago. And we had to clean up my mom's house and I stole that picture. And I'm like, I'm going to put it behind my podcast. That's what I did. And this is my grandfather. He's got four people up there. That's his last day of work.
Starting point is 00:18:24 He retired that day. And they took that photo. That's in British Columbia. And obviously he used to haul logs just like my dad. and just like his brother. That's where I come from. And that picture is goddamn awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I got a Canadian YouTuber that copies everything that I do. I used to, well, I still do. I shoot in my motorhome, and then he got his trailer, and he started shooting in his trailer, and then he started copying all my videos. He started copying the titles, word for word.
Starting point is 00:19:07 He created a second channel. We used to camp together. and hang out and then all of a sudden behind my back he did i said what are you doing i found out and like what do you like why are you using all my titles word for word we don't talk anymore so i'm expecting him to come up with an 80s photo and call up his parents and ask hey uh did grandfather ever haul logs because i'd like to put that up on my behind me when i do my podcast i don't know why i just brought that up. Actually, I think I'll do a video about that. Another time. He's pretty sick. Guys, thanks for watching. Bye-bye. I don't even know if I'm going to post this.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Bye-bye.
