Starting point is 00:06:10 Fuck, no. We were like, all right, be here and DJ, we good, dad. Damn. You're a little actor. He might be still active. I don't know. You still hooping? Yeah, I still hooper right now then.
Starting point is 00:06:22 I mean, I can. You go to have. Come around and get some shots up now. I can make it. He always can shoot. Yeah. We can shoot all you all you all. Yeah, I can shoot.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Yeah, I can shoot. But Theo, I still hooping. Bill is acting. In New Rico, Puerto Rico right now, who's been. So that was our only hope. We was going to just feature him. Let him do his thing.
Starting point is 00:06:40 That's really going to be a bachelor. That's going to be a mortgage. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, move. Get on the work, bro, for sure. Man, let's start, man. IU rumors, man. You know, so obviously Indiana.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Is it true that there was a possibility that Chu and Luodney was going to be going to Indiana? Of course. We did your homework. Okay, that was real. Yes, there was. Actually, Mike Davis was a coach. That's Mike Davis.
Starting point is 00:07:04 We took it in a Fisier, Vision, me and Lou All Dang. Obviously, we played together in New Jersey and high school together. And send a PJ. And at the time, I think, I don't know how true this was or not, but Indiana was like the number one, like party schools and stuff like that. Still it. Oh, it still? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Really? Yeah. Yeah. They kept saying this shit, right? So I was like, okay, yeah. But I had a great. time. And after I left Indiana, I was like, we and Loua all were talking to be dope for us to play reunite and play in Indiana. So we was going to commit to Indiana.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Low key. I don't think I ever sold this story publicly, but we was going to commit because Mike Davis was NIL before. Oh, we know. I like that style. It's a lot. I can talk freely now. It's good. You have to limitations. Oh, my God. But and then Lou pulled the audible on me.
Starting point is 00:08:06 It was like, you, I'm going to, I think I'm going to go to dude. And that fucked me up because I'm like, all right, cool. And then I ended up committing to Illinois. Yeah. So I committed to Illinois. I don't know if you want me to go down that store. You want me to go down that store? That's what Bill's so.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Yeah, yeah. So Bill Self was there here, but they recruited me having. And Illinois was dog. I ain't going to lie. They, they said the PJ. I'm 17 years. I'm from the hood, 17 years old. I'm on the PJ,
Starting point is 00:08:36 and I know my wife over there, but the good thing is I can say she understands. But they have five girls waiting for me with Charlie's Angels shirt. That's all right. They don't know it? Yeah. Shouts and Rick Files where they go.
Starting point is 00:08:50 The real recruiter trip. Yeah, that looks like Miami Tech. Miami Tech, man. I'm 17 years old, man, you know what I'm? Damn. Yeah, and they show love. They show love. I had a great time.
Starting point is 00:09:02 I committed on the spot. That's fine, man. I committed on the spot. Herbie. It's the hard. I'm here. This is how you're moving? Yeah, I'm here.
Starting point is 00:09:15 But, yeah, I had a great time. And then Coast South ended up going to Kansas. Yeah. So, like, maybe like two months after I had verbally committed because there was no reason for me to sign. And I was like, fuck. And then I think Bruce Weber came in. Bruce Webb, I think.
Starting point is 00:09:29 He came in. I ain't really know him like that. I didn't really have a relationship with him like that. I was cool with D. World Luther had, D. Brown. Shout out to them dudes, man, good people's man. And then I was like, man, you know what? I'm going to go to Kansas. So took a visit of Kansas.
Starting point is 00:09:46 I'm from New York. No fucking tornado hit. Fucking Kansas. I'm my vision. Nah, I'm close. That's a, if it was ever assigned, that you didn't even need to. They tell me to go to a basement and shit.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I'm saying. I was like, nah, I'm good. This ain't that. I went in, the shit was all pretty, and I come out. This is all fucked up outside. So I'm like, nah, this ain't it, bro. So with Yukon, I ended up going to Yukon by accident, bro, to be honest. I was like, yo, I want to be close to home, but I kind of want to be far away.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Say, fuck it, Yukon. And that's how legit. I already took my five visits, and then I took my own official visit to go to Yukon. And obviously, I didn't even talk to the coaches of nothing. I was hanging down with B.G. The whole time, Ben Gordon. Shout B.G. But Ben Gordon from New York.
Starting point is 00:10:34 So we vibe. We play together, A.U. So I've known them for a minute. And I also knew Taleek Brown, my name Rings the Beth. Yeah, yeah. You're from New York as well. So it was like a matter of like,
Starting point is 00:10:44 all right, fuck it. I'm coming here. And at that time, they were ranked number one preseason. Yeah. That was a loaded time, bro. I'm like, oh, shit. All right, cool. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Come on. What's so crazy is you could have been in the Illinois scene. We already talk about that triple head of Awesome. D. Brown, Luther Head, D. Well, boy. You were that squid you? So, and then they went to the finals. Yeah. And play UNC the next year. But, you know, I ended up winning in my first year. You know what I mean? So I made a right decision. You made a great decision.
Starting point is 00:11:12 How was that, man, playing with a mecca Oka for. He was big. Underrated college star. Super underrated, man. Super underrated, man. Super humble dude. Hard worker, man. Like, that dude was a gym rat, bro. He was in the gym, day in and day out. And he was a good student, too. I'm like, how can you manage both?
Starting point is 00:11:29 He was a fucking straight-A student type shit. And then, you know, he was, you know, he was our best player, man. He was who carried us throughout the year. And then you add Ben to the mix, come on. Come on. Come on. Come on.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Denham Brown. Denham Brown. With Josh Boom. I was my boy on Marcus Madelians. Yeah, the squad. Your game, Marcus Williams. Yeah. He ended up falling off.
Starting point is 00:11:54 He became ineligible. Yeah, that's my dog. He'll minister's society. No, he's solid. That's my dog. That's my dog. Josh Voon was the first belly game because everybody used to argue. Man, he's way.
Starting point is 00:12:05 I'm like, man, Josh Mooney is not right, bro. He got cool of those games. With the Kardashian-Rade. He's half a good. That's plenty of respect. Yeah. That was a crazy front court that you had, though. Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Y'all was different. We had the base in the blocks. Yeah, bro. We was nice, man. We had a hill, no, I'm showing, too. Yeah, y'all had the legendary picture where y'all had the fire kicks on and ankle socks. Legendary moment. No one ain't on crew.
Starting point is 00:12:33 You're talking about that. Oh, you're nasty for that, Charlie. The same thing out. Oh, wait a little. Hold on. So when we did the shoot, they said they're not going to get our feet because we was looking crazy. And then the motherfuck up. Thu-the-munk on the feet in there.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I'm like, fuck, bro. Somebody had on the eight. Slam? Yeah. Yeah, I had the eight. Yeah, and the Azo, the Ago socks is crazy. That was the top, though. That's when nobody was wearing, like, high socks on oversawes.
Starting point is 00:13:03 No, but they all had old heat, though. That's how I respected about it. No, they all had. I think one of the guy, Air Force ones. It was boys, oh, yeah. Yeah, we was looking crazy, though, man. They did this dirty, man. They did it's dirty for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:15 I got, I got the pics. That's crazy. What was that like, though? Obviously, you was there two years, but a freshman year coming in with a loaded team already, and y'all straight got to, y'all had a damn their flawless season. I always say thank you because I'm a Duke Hattersy.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Y'all taking care of Duke that first final four game, I always appreciate. But what was that moment like, man, that run? That run was crazy, man. We started off preseason number one and obviously we ended up number one. But it was a roll-go. I mean, we lost his games, bro. Yeah. We lost his games to, like, teams that we shouldn't act lost to.
Starting point is 00:13:45 So the thing I always say is being number one is always hard because everyone's coming for you. And the only way you can move is go down. You know what I'm saying? So I'm gonna pause. That's how something crazy. That is kind of crazy. That shit was crazy. That's my dog.
Starting point is 00:13:59 What's his mouth? But you know, they're saying, Erygo, let's just repeat. Come on, they did this dirty, man.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Roleck force is dirty as shit. You know, the Mids, that's what got me. The Mids, the Mids with the ankles is dying. The Mids are in America? Not Hill are strong?
Starting point is 00:14:18 Yeah, that's him. Mee Ghead that shit on, as usual. Yeah. Fisianian fire, though. That shit's just legendary to this date. No, hell, hell, yeah. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:14:26 What the fuck I was talking about? I was talking about the run, bro. Oh, yeah, the run, the run, the run. So we ended up losing six games or whatnot. And then I remember we lost to Georgia Tech. They beat our ass in New York in Madison Square Garden. And that's the team that I wanted to see again. And that so happened.
Starting point is 00:14:47 We saw them again. Oh, we blitzed their ass. We blitz them, bro. But yeah, man, it was dope, man. that was the first time with the man and then woman was born the first time ever, so campus was lit. You can't be lit. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:04 That shit, so Thornycky crack. Yeah, it's cold, yeah, because there's nothing out there. Yeah, really not much out there. But it's lit, though. It's lit. It was lit. Yeah, yeah. It was lit, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Man. That's some crazy weather. It's a vibe. Yeah, but remember, I'm from New York, so I'm used to that shit. Oh. Now, obviously freshman year, when it shit, did you think about leaving your freshman year? Absolutely. But ain't nobody in Jim Carhoun's ever done except for Andre Drummond did a one in done.
Starting point is 00:15:35 If you go to Yukon, you're not doing a one in done, though. Really? Um, it under Kahun. Oh, okay. And the only one that did it was Andre Drummond, but he did it towards the end of Kaun's, you know, 10, you know, at UCon. But you're doing a minimum, but he don't tell you that. though.
Starting point is 00:15:52 He lowers you in. And then, you know, he was fucking with me a little bit. You know, I was coming off the bench. I was starting. I was coming off the bench. And then we won. He flat out told me, if you leave, I'm not supporting this move. Damn.
Starting point is 00:16:08 But I also, he was like, but there's an opportunity for now to be your team. Because Ben and the Mecca were leaving. So I was like, all right, cool. I'm going to give you one more year. He was like, that's all I need. Was you on the board? Late. Uh, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:23 You better write the season. Yeah, yeah. He made the decision for sure. Is that next year who came in? Rudy, is there Rudy in there? Rudy came in next year. Yeah. I don't think of Rudy didn't leave either.
Starting point is 00:16:31 That's crazy. He didn't. That's why I was thinking about Rudy. Ben, Rip, Ray, yeah. Daniel Marshall, Karam Butler, uh,
Starting point is 00:16:40 you old Kimbo. Yeah, at least, least two. Yeah. Minimum of two years. He's gonna do a bit of you call. What was like playing for Coach Scott Holwell?
Starting point is 00:16:48 Wild. That boy is wild. He'll curse. you out, bro. He'll curse you the fuck out, man, and then build you back up, man. Common was a tough coachman, but I appreciate it. I ain't value him until I left. Like, damn, this dude is legit, bro. He's a good dude, man. Great coach, obviously, his resume speaks
Starting point is 00:17:05 for himself, Hall of Fame him. Solid dude, man, solid. It was tough. It wasn't easy. I was a McDonald's All-American coming in, and, you know, I'm thinking, I'm going to shine ride away and shit. I had a fire class, too. What'd you think your NIL bag would have been? Shit, he already had Charlie Davis. Yeah. No, you're good.
Starting point is 00:17:28 You're good. You're good. You're good. What I'm saying? Would it have to play the effect, though? That's why I'm asking you to choose from Illinois. I know coach left and shit, but if they had that bag still, what was in the love? You know, the back was still there.
Starting point is 00:17:40 The bag was still on the table, but I'm just like, no, I just don't got a relationship with me to do. So, me, the bag would have been crazy. Yeah, respect to Coach Selfb. Bill Selt me on the NIL as well. I got you about five. Remember, I was, I was in the United, top three in the country now.
Starting point is 00:17:58 So I'm doing you a little low, five a little low. Yeah, five might be a little low. You get that AJ to Benz? You know what I feel? Oh, no question. So for seven out of the hospital, you're going to BYU for the seven else?
Starting point is 00:18:11 You damn right? Fuck you. Hey, it wouldn't be no trouble. It ain't going. Yeah, man. You soaked. No, they got a thing a bit. He's been soaking to be Y'all.
Starting point is 00:18:21 You got to shake the bed. It's old. I'm nothing going to BYU. I was laughing, man, after they last game, this show, hey, shake right in the whip. He was not. He was gone. He didn't even go back to his room,
Starting point is 00:18:33 getting his belongings. He went straight to L.A. Walk in wrong thing. Oh, God. Lock it full of money. Man. Now, obviously, it was going on right now
Starting point is 00:18:44 with Dan Hurley having a crazy one in the Yukon. We was talking to some fans yesterday. They said, if he get one or he get another one, is it time for conversation in that men's program? one of the best coaches around? That's a fact. You're going to have to.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Yeah. I mean, he won back to back. Going to a fight, well, playing in the championship game three out of four years. Mm-hmm. I mean, Coach Canaan is great. All the family, but he won three. Shit, if you win three, you're in the conversation, fact. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:08 You're in the conversation, so. He isn't in the now, bro. Yeah. He's in that right now, bro. He's in the conversation now. He had to kind of execute a little bit more. One more was, like, all right. Is it pushing him in the top five?
Starting point is 00:19:21 He's flirting with it, though. He's learning with the top five. Yeah, I mean, respect. Who else? Who else you got up there? You look at a lot of legendary college coaches. A lot of people that we gave a lot of respect to and deserving so, only got one. Like, is a.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Exactly. Like, Behan. Like, legendary coaches, not to disrespect. Come on. Got one. But in the short period of time. Yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:44 So he's setting up the culture, man, and you call him right, man. He's doing this thing, man. What's crazy is I've known Dan for a minute, too. So he coached St. Benedict's in high school with J.R. Smith went. Oh, he always played. Let me tell you something about Jail. I'm going to give him a quick shout out. My goal.
Starting point is 00:20:03 The best high school players I've ever seen in my life, though. Jail was tough, bro, was tough. Athletic, shoot the ball. It's nothing he couldn't do anything. What's crazy is we've seen him twice in the state finals. I had lost him twice. Two against her. Against Hurley.
Starting point is 00:20:22 So he was doing that shit. Being on people back then. Yeah, but respect. But yeah, but we're cool. We talk about that shit all the time and it's always loved, man. Why you didn't go out of high school? I did put my name out of high school.
Starting point is 00:20:40 I worked out for Dallas, San Antonio, and New Jersey. I was 17 years old. And I worked out with them boys. I'm like, nah. A little different. Yeah, he wasn't strong enough. Yeah, hell no. Like, nah, these dudes is moving a little quick,
Starting point is 00:20:56 and it was way too strong. And I was like, no, I need to go back. I don't know why I was taking. This week, an interview with one of the most influential figures in Silicon Valley, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to decide that creators of AI products bear a tremendous amount of responsibility to products we put out in the world. From power to parenthood.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Kids, teenagers, I think they will need a lot of guardrails around AI. This is such a powerful and such a new thing. From addiction to acceleration. The world we live in is a competitive world. And I don't think that's going to stop, even if you did a lot of redistribution. We have a deep desire to. excel and be competitive and gain status and be useful to others. And it's a multiplayer game. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test once. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's crazy. No, well,
Starting point is 00:25:50 I said, all right, man, obviously go crazy. You kind of second year. Honors across the Big East Board and it's time to declare, what was your draft process like? What was that summer like going to, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:25:58 becoming NBA player? It was dope, you know, I'm from New York, so I stayed in New York the whole time. I'm working out. I worked out for a few teams. I didn't work out for many. I worked out for Toronto,
Starting point is 00:26:12 Charlotte twice, and maybe Utah. And that was it. And then Utah had a third pick. Charlotte had the fifth pick, had the fifth and 13th pick. And then Toronto had the seventh pick. And that was it. I knew I was kind of going to, I thought really I was going to go to Sharpe because I had a great workout.
Starting point is 00:26:30 They actually brought me back the second time. They had me play Charmé one-on-one. See, yeah. That's a bad. Yeah, that's a bad one-on-one, full court. One-on-one. They're so lovely. They did me dirty too now.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I was tired now. What you played with Sean Mayto? He was going to go to the block. He was running right pass in him, boy. Yeah, so I thought I was going to go to Sean. You said, I thought I was going to be a barb pack. They didn't pick fucking Ray Felton, man. Fowder Ray felt, man.
Starting point is 00:27:09 My partner now. And then seventh, I knew I knew it was either five or seven. I never worked out for six. Six was Portland. I didn't ever work out for them, so I knew I wasn't going there. And 7th Toronto was my best workout, to be honest. Okay. The hell of a city of your draft.
Starting point is 00:27:24 I love Toronto. Your Toronto's one of my favorite cities, man. That's my top city in the league. And at that time, I never been out the country, which is crazy. So to me, it was dope, man. I had a great, they welcomed. I was so sick when they traded my ass. It's my first year.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Yeah, I'm like, man, you were going there one year? One year, man. It was a big seven months, man. And then boom. A coffee. You had a great. a great year too, though. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I had to... Was you all rookie? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Yeah. Yeah. Who they trade just where? TJ Ford. Yeah. Damn. Yeah. So new GM came in.
Starting point is 00:28:02 And, yeah, man. They needed a point ball. Chris Bosch was nasty. So, like, because I was either playing the three. I was playing the four. Sometimes Bosch played a five when him and I play together.
Starting point is 00:28:13 So it was four or five. So. That was perfect, though. They wanted a point bar, though, man. So they get a new gym comes in. Yeah. But they did me dirty. I know, y'all heard how they did me?
Starting point is 00:28:24 No. But the people who don't know, we love to hear it again. So I'm doing an appearance in Toronto on draft night. They draft Bargiani. Oh, that sounds like. Yeah. Okay. They can play the same position.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Yeah. Okay. He plays, you know, four or three, could possibly play the three three four five type shit i'm like okay maybe they want us to all play they want to play a big lineup all right cool so i'm talking to sam mitcher at the time he was our head coach and brian colangelo and they were like um there's a lot of people calling to trade for trade for you yeah but the only way we're going to trade you is if michael jordan comes out of retirement damn i'm 21 years old at this time so i'm like bad i'm good
Starting point is 00:29:14 When my MJ ain't coming back. Yeah, so I'm here. Man, 24 hours later, I was gone. My motherfuckers got rid of me 24 hours, not even 24 hours. As soon as I left that appearance and got home the next day, I was gone. How did you find out you found out on TV? Did your agent hit you? No, my agent ain't hit me.
Starting point is 00:29:33 How about that? Random. My brother had a girl at the time. Somehow his girl knew before anybody knew. Damn. She was like in the mix with the organ of the thing. It's like, Bruce man.
Starting point is 00:29:47 It's not his girl, though, man. That's it now. You got a game? You know? Rachel, I don't know. Rachel.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I don't know. It's got those relations there. But Shorty told my brother and my brother, yo, you just got traded. I didn't get trade. I called my agent. I get you a note.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Hour later, I get that. What is the 416 number? I said, uh-oh. Yeah, your ass is gone. Damn. Hell.
Starting point is 00:30:09 I was so sick, bro. I was like, to where? Milwaukee? Oh, man. Shout to Milwaukee. No lie. Milwaukee's fire. I love him.
Starting point is 00:30:19 But my first impression was like, man, this shit is weird. This shit, that, come on. But as soon as I got there, the love was crazy,
Starting point is 00:30:27 I had a great time, man. I still do things with Milwaukee, man. And the city loves me, man. So it's good vibes for sure. Now,
Starting point is 00:30:34 you did spend, like you said, a cup of coffee in Toronto, but you were around for some crazy performance up there in Toronto. Yeah, I ain't on a stage.
Starting point is 00:30:40 48 piece? Yeah. Yeah, man. It's crazy. I guess. Sorry, wifey, but... I apologize, wife. I was out all night, last.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Where did you do? I was in the streets, man. I was in the street heavy, man. You know what I mean? It had a good time, man. It was one of those nights where I was just, I didn't get no rest. And it's so happy to be one of the best performances
Starting point is 00:31:10 I had on the... Come on the morning, man. Yeah, I don't know how that shit. should work, but, and that shit works. Anytime I go out, I get a fucking bucket the next day. That's a bad recipe. And I'm trying to change my life, trying to do right and shit, man. Like, fuck, I got to go out, man.
Starting point is 00:31:32 And get wasted and shit. It worked out, man. I had one of the, a good performance that day for sure. Chris Bosch went out here and ended up getting hurt, so they just featured me. She was rolling. Man, speaking to Chris Bosch, one of the most underrated, powerful, in my opinion, of all the time.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Obviously, health issues, because queer living trouble. Chris Bosch was a dog. I know a lot of people saw him from the Miami stuff. But Chris Bosch was a real killer. What was like playing on the team with a guy like that? No, it was dope, man, because I learned a lot from him, man. Now, he was a couple years older to me,
Starting point is 00:32:04 but just having another versatile, because he can play, you know, inside-out type of shit. Just had me under the wing. He kind of took me a little wink, so it was dope, man, to kind of play with him because pause, whoa, that shit was crazy. That was wild. That was wild. You're good. My bad, my bad.
Starting point is 00:32:26 But yeah, man, so it was dope, man, because, you know, he's a solid, all-star. He should be a whole-of-in. I don't even know if he's an all-a-fimian. He is, bro. He got to be, bro. He got to be, right? He's not in it. I don't know if he's individually, but he definitely has the acting.
Starting point is 00:32:40 He got the resume for show. the team. Mr. Toronto year is, Chris Bosch was insane. Come on, man. 13 year in the rear, man. He's overdoves.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Yeah. Come on, man. Yeah, he was, he was, he was, he was a truth, man. You ever play one-on-one in practice? I'm sure we did. I mean, we used to go at it,
Starting point is 00:33:00 bro. Yeah. We used to go at it, man. It was hard because, I mean, he's a lefty, bro, so it's hard sometimes guarding lefties and shit, but he was super talented,
Starting point is 00:33:10 man, and we definitely went at it. 100%. We went at it, man. It was dope, dope. Who was one of the most toughest matchups in the NBA that you can remember? Dirk, Tim Duncan. Damn.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Dirk was, I used to love playing Dallas because I knew I couldn't guard him and he couldn't guard me. I was too mobile for him. Yeah. But guarding Dirk, bro, like, there's nothing you can do with that, bro. Less than Dirk fade away.
Starting point is 00:33:41 There's nothing you can. He's going to get to it. spot the he's going to do the fadeaway shit and you can just all you can do is just pray he misses but it don't matter how you can test he's still going to get the shot off and he was tough and then tim duncan was mr fundamental bro he's so basic bro what's so basic so efficient and effective man don't talk shit don't do nothing he's just a true professional go out there does his job man kill everybody keeps it moving bro sure i'm being too respectful yeah yeah players in Milwaukee, you play one of my favorite two guards all the time.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Michael Red, man. And Red. People don't give Michael Red enough credit, man, especially the way the league is playing now. He would definitely still play. Obviously, he was an all-star back then, too. But today, Michael Ray would really kill today's NBA, man. Oh, man. That three ball, man, was money, man.
Starting point is 00:34:29 You couldn't have leave him open at all, man. I love playing Mike Red, man. He's solid. Solid. Good brother, too, man. Not to get out basketball too much. I wanted to ask you about, like, seeing you big and rugby's thing, how did you fall into that shit, bro?
Starting point is 00:34:41 You're damn to demand in that. So what's crazy is I retired in 2016. And by the way, I'm super big on that financial literacy shit. Yeah. Because they don't really, they don't really, well, I didn't really know about finances. You know, I fucking come from welfare, bro. And then all of a sudden you get all this bags. So now you're depending on others to kind of run your shit.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Yeah. But I tell a lot of guys is you got to. to take the initiative and learn your shit. You're gonna know your money better than someone else, right? So, or you're gonna take care of your money better than someone else, well. Yeah. So when I retired in 16, I was like, man, what the fuck do I do now? Like, I didn't know I was 31 years old, well, like, I played 11 years.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I'm like, fuck, what do I do now? So at that time, my brother got into real estate, he was a real term. And then I was like, fuck it, let me just get into the shit. And, you know, he was finding me the properties. in Houston, you'll find me the property. I'll just buy them. I didn't even know how to fucking leverage my money. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:35:47 And I can get real deep with it, pause. But, um... I ain't to learn no more, man. With their courage to basketball, get your money. But, uh, yeah, man. So, and then I started investing in New York, Houston. And then my wife got into, got into it. And then now I'm hands on.
Starting point is 00:36:10 When we do it in Dallas now, We're flipping property. I'm rolling. True story. I'm pulling up to the properties in the Rose Royce, but I'm picking up trash. Like I'm demoing shit. Like, I got my hands dirty.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I want to learn the business. And my wife was a rider too, man, she was right there throughout that whole process. And, you know, one property led to two properties, two properties led to 11, and then just kept growing the portfolio and then just keep flipping or keep building new construction.
Starting point is 00:36:41 So it was, it's been doing well for me. Now, be here, that's our guy, you know what I'm saying? He's a chef. He's tapping him with all the restaurants. You got a spot out of Houston, man. Yeah, yeah. You did your homework. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Did your homework, man. So I wanted to diversify and, you know, let me jump into the hospitality business. It's hard. It's tough. It's tough. It's not easy because when we opened up, it was right before COVID hit. So it was like six, seven months before COVID hit. Oh, that's when the money hit.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Now we shut down. Yeah. For, and the good thing is at the time is that the city at the time owned the space. Yeah. I was a landlord and they was like, yo, you don't have to pay rent. We have to pay rent and this shit, my name, we're done. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:29 It's over. So it took about two or three years for us to reopen again. So then when we reopened again, it's just like, you know, it's just a slow grind, bro. It's a grind. What's it called? Culture. It's right downtown, right by Minamie, by Minnesota Nashville play. That's my second hometown, man.
Starting point is 00:37:48 I'm like to pull up. I know the owner, man. He can hook you up. We go to everybody. We go ahead. I ain't even know, bro. I ain't even know, bro. He'd been to stop through.
Starting point is 00:37:59 He's thinking hometown, man. You know, so you got a slime up. Culture with a K. With a K. What's the special on there? What we need to try? Because we're going to pull up. We're up.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Shit, there's some shrimp grits. Fried fish. That's your shit. That's Mike's shit. Mike and Fryfisher at any restaurant we go to. There it is. That's a stable then, so you got a soul food spot. Yeah, soul food spot.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Yeah, we're going to pull up. We got the Huka in there. Hooker. Huka? We can make some arrangements. I don't need. I know it used and that's the thing. Huka and Lamb's probably.
Starting point is 00:38:31 No, I'm like, who really? I think he was a hook. And then Charlie looked at me a little different. They got you. What a huckooke? A dude. A dude. Nah, me, that's just you.
Starting point is 00:38:43 You're trying to get your bait pen. You're going to hand you a vape pin. Two. To be there. One thing I wouldn't talk to you about, man. You was early in the player damage and social media, man. What was that moment like with you and Scott Schuyall's with a tweet of a half? So, I'm a pioneer on the love.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Yeah, he's a whole key story. It's one of it. So true story, right? So I was always big in technology, right? Yeah. So when Twitter, when Twitter dropped, my brother was the one to kind of immune to it. So I set up an account or whatever. But in reality, I never managed this shit. My brother did. So low-key, my brother was the one that did the tweet. I just took the hit.
Starting point is 00:39:24 So when he did it at halftime, it was whatever, right? But that was like the first time that somebody's ever done that, like during the game. So they, everybody thinking it's me, but in reality, it wasn't me. It was really my own. But I took the hit for it. I mean, I wasn't going a snitch on them at that time, obviously, but, you know, I took the hit. But yeah, man, that shit went viral. Yeah, that shit went crazy, man. But then they ended up putting an NBA came with a rule. Like, you can't tweet after like 90 minutes before the game or some shit like that.
Starting point is 00:39:58 And it was called the Charlesville-Milory rule. Wow. Yeah, man. I couldn't tweet no more. I can't get no rules. I got loose on crazy. That's crazy. Hold on, man.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Let me get some of that. Oh. Yeah. I didn't know you drink me, my bad. I'll drink a little bit. Got a cup. Come on, man. I heard that have a good time.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah. You got bars in her being. He's feeling in. Barby today, man. Yeah, he'll be here. You'll get that on camera, man. Go on pass this to my God. Shouts for the game, man.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Shots for the game. They hide you in you two at the same time. Come on, man. You know what time it is. Would you drink your water first then take this up? No, I'll put the water in here. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:36 Got a little. It is. It's just like on the rock. I don't know. I ain't no new shit. That's how you stay hydrated. I'll keep you going all night. Charles, you know.
Starting point is 00:40:46 I was drinking for a lot. That's crazy. Yeah, keep me going on. Could you go on night? Keep you going on night, boy. Yeah, I guess that's the problem, man. At one point, I'm not laughing. You're not laughing.
Starting point is 00:40:56 You're not laughing. We have to be. Jack, when are you coming to the league? Oh, no. Okay, so 11, when we had the lockout? Yeah. I thought the season was over. It was a rap.
Starting point is 00:41:09 I thought he was going to lose a year. Man, I went, 28 out of 31 days, went drinking. Damn. Yeah, I was having withdrawals or types of shit, fan, when I just stopped and they said, yo, you got to come back? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Boo. Yeah, I had a. Well, you went 28 days without drinking? No, with. I drank 28 days. Were you half a fifth or? Him asking measurements. At that time?
Starting point is 00:41:35 I mean, I like measurable. I like measurement. Yo, he wild in the day. I like measuring this. Nah. No, you got to you. I can't wait for a Monday. I can't wait for a birthday.
Starting point is 00:41:49 I'm going to every single in. I like to. We got to go out. I can't wait for you. I can't wait until Monday morning. I can't wait until Monday morning, boy. That's a fly. What?
Starting point is 00:42:02 I can't wait till Monday morning. But yeah, man, that drinking shit was, was, was, was, And I speak about it now and I joke about it. But at that time, you know, some dark days, man. Detroit was some dark days for me, man. But I don't got those, obviously, I don't got those issues now. But, you know, in Detroit was some of my darkest days. I don't know if you experienced that, Jeff, where you had, like, some dark days and shit, man.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Nah, I live with all my homeboys, so shit. It wasn't really too dark. Now, what did you pick up the water in the liquor trick, though? It's over time. Why, after being a professional, having time? Okay. I'm not going to tap in, bro. Yeah, you threw the water.
Starting point is 00:42:49 I mean, it's the same thing. You got ice, right? Yeah. This is just a little bit for me. I get straight to it. Yeah, she can hit the blood straight to it. Urge, urge you. But I...
Starting point is 00:42:59 There's hair in your chest there, huh? A few. I shave it, but you. I got a few pieces of... Man, let's talk these dudes. You are wrong. I heard you. All right.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Man, let's just talk some footh shit, man. Because this is what I do with the pie. Man, we got to probably be here. We got to do it. Do people need to put more respect on Bams, 83? Don't feel shit. No, hold on.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Because 83 is 83. You got to respect that first. Yes. That's hard to do, man, because not many has done it. Right? Obviously. it's just the last six minutes I wasn't feeling. What are he supposed to do, though?
Starting point is 00:43:41 You would have did the same thing. Thanks. That's what I'm saying. That's what I was the conversation about it. But remember, I was on the court when I saw that 81. Yeah, yeah. So that 81 and that 83 is not the same. I mean, I'm going to keep it real.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Kobe's shit was, he legit gave us a, like, we was throwing all types of shit out. and he was making everything. Fucking bam, like it looked like it was more orchestrated, right? Mm. You know what I mean? Like the 43 free, whatever he meant 40 plus fritos, I mean, you can't do nothing about that.
Starting point is 00:44:17 They're filing. Yeah. But that end when you filing and you're up 20 and you're filing to get another possession? Nah. And with that. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies.

Starting point is 00:47:34 Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:47:49 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'll fuck with it as a coach. As a coach? Yeah. Yeah, because he's like, y'all, I'm going to take care of my playing.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Yeah, I spoke. Well, remember, I was on the court and I saw the 81. That was the shit, 81. Yeah. No filing and trying to, nah, they weren't doing none of that. No, I reached,
Starting point is 00:48:09 I respect it, though. I don't want to come up. So you respect about 60 other points. Nah, he, 70 was probably legit. Yeah, 70 was like legit. I respect about 70 of it. Okay. What's the huddle like when, like, somebody like,
Starting point is 00:48:21 all right, I got Kobe or I got Kobe? Like, at one point, it just become demoralizing at that point because you look at everybody going off. You said, they're saying it's in the doubles and triples. And it just didn't have... When he had 50 and it was still the third quarter, he had fuck. Was he talking shit to y'all?
Starting point is 00:48:36 Kobe was a killer, bro. He didn't say nothing. Damn, bro. Hissing probably uses snake shit. Probably do, brus. That is...
Starting point is 00:48:47 Take that with you, So I can respect Charlie's take on it. Because he was in the game. Yeah, I was actually there, but that reason I'm on the statue, so I respect it, man.
Starting point is 00:48:56 He was getting... I was a shot over. He got like 20 or though. No, no, no, no, no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, hold off. You can look at yourself. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Dude doesn't look up shit? Don't. I'm the... It's me and one more of the people. player that did not get a bucket scored on by you're in switching? I locked that shit up. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:49:15 I'm glad. I'm dead. I ain't guard that nigga, but I ain't really got him. No, it's true story, though. I didn't get a bucket on me at all. Me and I think Eric Williams would think it was. So that was y'all?
Starting point is 00:49:27 So why don't want you helping me in? You ain't go for the couple? I didn't want that smoke. I'm a kid, bro. I'm like, I'm like, no. I'm like, no. That was your old. moment.
Starting point is 00:49:40 Nah. I'm moving for what? Deep a one. He's right there. Oh, and then the thing is he has 60 against Dallas in three quarters.
Starting point is 00:49:51 This one, Kobe was on. Yeah. He was the own one. So we was like, all right, fucking let Kobe get his don't let the other guys
Starting point is 00:49:58 do they think. Man. Yeah, I didn't think it's... That shit back by it. Fuck, Kobe did his thing, man.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Yeah, that's when Kobe was looking off smushing them. He was not all that with her body. We were going through that tough life stuff off the court. Kobe was killing. He was. Yeah, he was killing, man.
Starting point is 00:50:14 And the way he did it, man, we was throwing all types of shit out of him. Man, man. So you're basically giving out of the bucks to Jalen Rose. Jalen got like about 60. Yeah, Mo Pete. Shot to Mo Pete. Michigan State legend.
Starting point is 00:50:29 Matter of fact, they both got both got. Jay and the divvy that. Yeah, I didn't know that. Maybe 55. And then Mo Pete got about another 20. And then like. The fill-in. Yeah, the billing joints.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Crazy. All right, man, awesome hoop shit. While you're here, Charlie, I want to ask you out this question. Shout to BJ Brindigen says on Twitter. Ronnie James. Ronnie James, start.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Bernie. Charlie. I got to ask you out question. Yes, sir. Yeah. The Bronny James shit. I come across. Top 15 PG in the league.
Starting point is 00:50:59 You feel like he deserved to be in the league. Yeah, it's Lebron son. Yes, bro. He earned it. He earned it. He earned it. He earned it. He earned it.
Starting point is 00:51:07 He earned it. He's all the first. All-American, bro. Like you, MacDonald's all-American. He got the same Thursday as you, bro. No. He got the same Thursday as you, bro. The same ranking as Charlott.
Starting point is 00:51:17 He was. Yeah. No, he was up in three. His and I L was about seven, too. Yeah, I don't want to. Look at the fucking black trucks would pull up. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:51:26 They are. They are. They are really. I got it. I got it. I got it. He heard you. I got you.
Starting point is 00:51:33 I got you. So you, you ain't, I'm just saying, though, you're fucking with it? He's starting now. As a father. He has a follow for sure. Oh, my God, of course. I'll do that for my son, too.
Starting point is 00:51:43 No, a thousand percent. But, like, is it deserving? Not a real for that. If he get Bryce in the league, brawl. No, no. If he gets Bryce in the league, he gets Bryce. Bryce is in the chamber. That's how he get breaking in.
Starting point is 00:51:55 No, Bryce is in the chamber. We sat out this year, you feel me? To prepare for next year. Next year, we're coming back for Avengers. 15 ppg per game next year. 15? Yeah, for Bryce. Lock it in?
Starting point is 00:52:06 Lock it in. My mom, my mom, must. said when two men have an argument, next word should be bet. I was bet. I'm with that. We're talking about lying. But not,
Starting point is 00:52:19 there was a conversation. Shout out to Trace. I mean, sorry, T-Mack and Vince, and they said his response was they're not better than DeMar and PG.
Starting point is 00:52:30 So of those four shooting guards who just mentioned, who would y'all take is your favorite or who y'all think is the best out of those? Oh, who said what? Trace and Grady. Tracy McGrady or Vince versus PG and DeMarr.
Starting point is 00:52:41 But I ain't going to put a versus, but of those four, who is y'all say is number one? Because there's a lot of accolades across all those gentlemen, a lot of career establishments, all going to be Hall of Famers. Debo, my nigga. That's my dog. Yeah. Like, I phone people. Demar de Rose. But Timak and Vince.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Boy. But if you can stop bullshit. But if you look at the numbers. DeMar is up there for sure. You look at the numbers. We're talking about tomorrow every day. It's close. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:12 We talk about them all of them. I'm going to take Debo. Like, he won the most out of all of them. Did he got 20K? He got 20K. I think he might be hiring them on a scoring list, too. He's top. Oh, Vince?
Starting point is 00:53:27 I don't know. Vince. He might've been 25 years, bro. Debo 17. I'll literally see the out of time scoreless, but also sleep in that conversation. I know people feel differently about them. Paul George.
Starting point is 00:53:38 All George is a career is fire, and he got hurt at the height of his career as well. We talked about that yesterday. And from all that point, PG top 10 earners, too. Oh, yeah, the money is. If I got buckets and earning. I'm sorry, bro. Vince Carter was fucking insane. If you go with their peak as a player, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I think Tracy McGrady is the best. 100%. Then it's Vince. Then it's Vince. But if you go like overall career, I'm taking DeMore and Rose. over PG's Because PG Postseason career
Starting point is 00:54:10 I know they joke about to play out of P shit but Hey PJ Yeah I might say I might say Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:54:16 Perk P Yeah Definitely Definitely Hey I don't know PG was barely Against Bron
Starting point is 00:54:24 in the East bro In the places We had PG PG He's the truth That's a fact Yeah
Starting point is 00:54:29 Oh bro Vince Carter Was fucking insane for Toronto In New Jersey Yeah he was He is
Starting point is 00:54:34 But he lost A y R did more than Toronto. Team Mac will hurt. Team Mac is the injuries. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Team Mac was fucking. Team Mac was premium. At one point, he might have been like one of the best in the league. They had him above Kobe a certain couple years. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Yeah. PG and, obviously, DeMondy Rose have never been the best in the league. Right? That's true. So to me, that's why I give the edge
Starting point is 00:54:56 to the older cats and team. Yeah. I'm saying, but they're going career. They're going careers. Yeah. But Pete.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Vincent and Timak. They're not even close to me. Yeah. Yeah. And that's no disrespect. No, no disrespect at all. No, those are all Hall of Famers. This is all.
Starting point is 00:55:13 No, no. You know how we feel about him. Yeah. I think he might, well, he's a competitor, but he might say T-Mack. Who? Oh, yeah. I think everybody in the world knows T-Mack was the best out of all for them. That Blue Star's jersey hit different.
Starting point is 00:55:28 Come on, man. But he just got hurt. Yeah. Yeah, he couldn't stay healthy, man. But T-Mack, who one of my favorite players growing up? All right. Now, the new one, some shit. that Jeff started is the James Hardin D-Way.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Have y'all touched on it? No, we touched on it. No, we touched on that topic. Was Jeff out of pocket? Who you got? I ain't got nobody, bro. I picked Jay's scared of the trucks. You pick James, too?
Starting point is 00:55:50 You pick James, too. Are we speaking? He said, too. He already knew who I said, very far. Hold on, hold on. Yeah. The I test told me D-Rawed right away.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Yeah. And then, man, Hong was reading me the numbers, James got every category. Every one. So I'm like, oh, shit. But the defensive shit. But, yeah, yeah. So I'm like, James, to me.
Starting point is 00:56:15 And the other one that people put a lot of weight into, that hardware. But then you got. He got the chip. You got Dway with the chips. But I take a finals MVP over a regular season MVP, though. That's a fact. I wouldn't. How I did it?
Starting point is 00:56:29 I played with a bunch of niggas that was 40 enough. Okay, if you expect that Dway, I don't know. I average 36. He was killing, but like, oh. A regular season MVP is more to me, right? Because your team is like, your team got to be good to win a championship, bro. Everything got to go right to win the chip. Like, I really got to ring because everything went right for us.
Starting point is 00:56:48 James Harder and Roseanneckle, Terris Hamström, Carrey Rollsank. Everything got to be perfect. Regular season, most of the time, all the best players play. That's true. We're 60 plus gaming. You're the best out of autumn. Nika, I average 36. I didn't get, and respect to Andre Aguadala.
Starting point is 00:57:05 but those those MVP's too totally different That's what I'm saying No disrespect to Andre Gondelaela But he got a finals MVP He didn't come close to a regular season MVP We didn't even hear that motherfucker Okay we're gonna get off Andre
Starting point is 00:57:19 He's like Shown president Drake was like me Plus Drake was like me bro So you would rather have a regular season MVP than the finals MVP in the best player in the NBA
Starting point is 00:57:30 Yeah he's right Because you can have a good series And be MVP That don't mean you the best in the league. But MVP, you're the best in the league. After Mark Cuban, how he talked about his PTSD up here, about what Dway did to them, them four games in the row. So y'all with D-Way? I'm D-Way. I'm 100%.
Starting point is 00:57:47 I'm going D-Way 3, James Hardin for it. Yeah. But I feel like it's not a wrong answer. Skill, James. Oh, yeah, skill, yeah. Bway don't even have to move, James got. James in Houston? He looks crazy, bro. They look crazy. Letter league is scoring an assist. Come on. A nurse.
Starting point is 00:58:05 A n-haired. A n-ha-a-old. A-ha-old. A-n-a-old. guarding them from behind them. Yeah. That was a scouted trip. Behind them, it's crazy. I've never heard that, bro. No.
Starting point is 00:58:15 All right, fuck it. Let's go to the basket. We go to behind him. True story. So when he got traded to Houston, he played Detroit the first game. Which was us. He could score 55.
Starting point is 00:58:27 He played us the next game. 55. What do you give us? 40? 47. Yeah. The next game, he got to learn this. I love that.
Starting point is 00:58:35 It's like a different, bro. And then there's the shit with the filing shit. Yeah, he mastered that shit. Nah, James Harder's true. No, I love Jay. I just think, and I don't know how you feel when we sit down and talk to, bro. But that finals MVP, how way it got it, bro. I average 36 and everybody played with me was 40.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Nah, it's cold. But it's close, though. It's not like a landslide on like that. But James, you know. Two killers. Way to kill it, though. But respect. How the hell they get you to do podcasting, man?
Starting point is 00:59:09 You got all this shit going on. How they get you to follow? You know what's crazy? Like, I didn't know, like, I would actually enjoy this shit, bro. Yeah. It's funny, but not funny, but funny. But, you know, I have alopecia. I can't grow hair.
Starting point is 00:59:23 Yeah. I never been in the barbershop like that. I can laugh. I don't know. Y'all's a hell if you missed that alone, you know. I'm sorry. So, like, Barlow Stop Talk.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I just imagine that's how Barbering Stop Talk. You ain't never fooled up to Barstam just to kick it, though. I lost my shit at 10 years old, man. It ain't my fault. I lost the shit at 10 years old. It was a rap. The shit was gone. So, when I got with them fellas, you know, Ray and Theo, they, they started off first.
Starting point is 00:59:57 I was a guest on their show, and then, you know, I liked it, bro. I was natural It was a thing that I liked You know, in the league I was a politician I'm gonna be honest I was an employee So I had to fall in line
Starting point is 01:00:11 I did my shit professional I wasn't starting no shit I just did what I had to do And keep it moving Right Now I'm my own boss shit Can't tell me shit Oh no
Starting point is 01:00:23 Now I'm talking You know And people like They ain't no CV talk like this I didn't I didn't I didn't But yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:00:31 Yeah, I get down. No, for sure, for sure. That shit, y'all show is dope, bro. Yeah, yeah, I appreciate that. Y'all be starting a shit on a... Yeah. With my man, Hone. My home, man, man, home will be starting this shit.
Starting point is 01:00:42 So, let's start from home, but then go to the rest of the... And then, Ray be, like, with the unc. He'd be giving you, like, the facts and shit and the... Yeah, he'll never go. He'll be on some beach shit. He's on some piece. Ray, I also can't be hilarious. He started talking slow and everything.
Starting point is 01:00:57 Yeah. He just giving me advice while I'm going in. Like, Ray, come on, man. Like, chill, let me get out. They'll never get outside the wood. If you ever regret it, something you said on there, though. Nah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:09 Nah, I don't, bro. Like, now, like, I just talk my shit, though. Nah, for sure. I just talk my shit and just, you know. The only reason why I ask, because, you know, we had a little conversation about the Joe and Brian shit. The last. Oh, the old, oh, that I so joke. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:23 No, I mean. Listen. The last? Yeah. Be you're a call back. Yeah, yeah. I like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:30 So, you know, with the last month, man, I had no problem. The last second. But to, should I have to your question? It's something to look at, fam. It's something to look at. I mean, I respect what you said. Talk about something to look at. We know what we look at it.
Starting point is 01:01:48 You said, I mean, that's what the fuck I said, right? I mean, my drunk, duh. You probably get yourself more than it. This is what you said. You said. Damn, I have to have the bro said. You go just stick your own. Oh, that's a federal federal.
Starting point is 01:02:04 George, Hawaii. Charles, yeah. I don't remember, dog. Charles was like, I'm going to fuck around. I'll take Joe. For one? I'm taking Joe for sure. I mean, you've seen it for a thing.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Yeah, girl, so. Yeah. No key. I mean, I so Joe. I mean, that's fucking ISO. One play? I might. What year was that?
Starting point is 01:02:30 He had hit the most game winners or something. Yeah, he hit one on us. Yeah, he hit like seven game winners. I was with Dallas, as a matter of fact. Yeah, he hit one of us. He got a reputation for a no one of a second. See, the thing is with, who was it, Isso and LeBron, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:43 So, pause, but I always like the ball in LeBron's hands, bro. Because he can make the right play. He going to make the right play, man. And a lot of people, he gets, he gets fucking killed for that shit. LaBron take the fucking last shot. Like, nah, he's doing the right shit sometimes. But you're right, though. I so Joe is...
Starting point is 01:03:04 Second in the NBA history. That's crazy. Ten season span. Right, so, yeah, I respect it. I respect it. Yeah, I got you. Yeah, that's crazy. Now, that is crazy.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Nah, you said by the landslide, though. Like, it's close. Mm-hmm. You know? I ain't about that. I disagree. I mean, shit, if you need a three, probably gonna take...
Starting point is 01:03:25 Yeah, I'm gonna take you Joe. Yeah, every single time. Yeah, every single time. That's crazy that LeBron gets criticized on making the right play. Like he gets you open shot for game. Like, you didn't shoot it. It's like, damn, I got my shooter the best I could get for game. You just happened to miss this one. That's tough though, bro.
Starting point is 01:03:38 Because when you put him in the category of like Kobe and MJ, that's not their DNA. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? LeBron is different, bro. Like, he's going to make the right play. So that's why he gets crucified because he's not in the same. He doesn't have the same mentality as.
Starting point is 01:03:55 But if we down one, you damn their got to take that, bro. God's. I don't give a fuck. Who's old. He's a great train, bro. They can get to the basketball. Yeah. Like, whenever he wants, bro.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Yeah. So I'm doing my taking him. Did you play Ron in high school? No. Never played him in high school. You remember ABCD camp? Mm-hmm. I went to.
Starting point is 01:04:20 You went there? Yeah. I was MVP of that shit. I was MVP. He said, you put that out. LeBron had a broken on. That's when LeBron brought it. broke his own.
Starting point is 01:04:31 Oh, God. I was sleeper at a camp. Yeah. It's a bad. No, I seen, I seen him play a bunch of times, but we never crossed past in high school. You know, he was number one.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Lou all was number two. I was number three. It's crazy that me and Lou were the same team. Yeah, that's nothing. I had a raw class. What was his old boy named? I fucked with. This is Nadooby, Eby or some shit.
Starting point is 01:04:54 Eby. Noob. Yeah, NDB. Yeah, Indiby. In Diby. In Dib. He was wrong, too. His ass.
Starting point is 01:05:01 Bring that clip up. You know what? Bound on them. You know what I mean? Oh, no. Bring that clip. And McDonald's, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Man, you poked, oh, my God. Yeah. Man, what are you doing? Your poke was crazy. You're wild in a day. Heard you. Heard you. Yeah, I was a lot of that.
Starting point is 01:05:20 I don't know. Hey, listen, while we hear, man, is play all the time. Mm-hmm. We go MVP. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now I've got my own show.
Starting point is 01:05:34 So if you're tired of lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies, available on all TSN platforms in the IHeartRadio app. Ready for a different take on Formula One? Look no further than No Grip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1, including the astrology of the current grid. Lewis Hamilton, Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon. Wouldn't you know it?
Starting point is 01:06:01 Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon. The story of the sport's most consequential driver strike. We have one man who, upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out, and apparently climbed out the window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Ricardo's illustrious F1 career, a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? He started getting all this attention, and he maybe started to think, I'm bigger than this.
Starting point is 01:06:27 and plenty of other mishap, scandals, and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, gumster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, and I'm mostly human, I go beyond the headlines with the people building our future. This week, an interview with one of the most influential figures in Silicon Valley, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to decide that creators of AI products, spare a tremendous amount of responsibility to products we put out in the world. From power to parenthood. Kids, teenagers, I think they won't need a lot of guardrails around AI.
Starting point is 01:07:07 This is such a powerful and such a new thing. From addiction to acceleration. The world we live in is a competitive world. And I don't think that's going to stop, even if you did a lot of redistribution. We have a deep desire to excel and be competitive and gain status and be useful to others. And it's a multiplayer game. What does the man who has extraordinary influence over our lives have to say about the weight of that responsibility? Find out on Mostly Human.
Starting point is 01:07:33 My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. In 2023, former Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.
Starting point is 01:08:09 I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I ain't going to front. I've been on this one between, go. No. Fuck no.
Starting point is 01:08:59 SGA? Yes. Yes, bro. Got it. He going to get it. But to me, the league is going to push the narrative of Wembe. Yeah, you are. Because I think Wembe's going to be the face of the league.
Starting point is 01:09:11 For sure. Normally, it's an American player. Yeah. Because the league wants to go global, they're going to push for Wemby. He's a perfect fit. He's a perfect fit, bro. So I'm on this Wembe train, bro. I see him locking it down next year, for sure.
Starting point is 01:09:27 I just think of saying it's going with San Antonio. It's special, bro. For sure. And they're young. They're young. Young. In my opinion, it's a crazy part by ESJ. They try to give it to other people this year.
Starting point is 01:09:39 He's talking to Luke and stuff late in the season. The Joker obviously deserving. But SGA, bro, like, they lose one or two games in a six-month span. Like, he averaging 30. He's shooting efficient. Like, he's 50 plus. 50, 40-90, averaging 30. Oh, fan.
Starting point is 01:09:53 But if Wimpy played like he's been playing the last two months, If he started doing that in January, I think he would have probably got the MVP not. Because he started talking, hey, y'all talk about offense. I'm the best defendant in the league and I have a 24th. This numbers was just too inconsistent, though. Yeah. You know, so we talk about NBA area day on our morning shoulder. He'll go 30, then he might have 19.
Starting point is 01:10:14 Like, I think that kind of hurt him a little bit. He's got a full team. 22? Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, he's a puck. On the minis restriction and everything. All right.
Starting point is 01:10:21 I like the odds here. If you were a bedman, hard rock bet. You know what I'm saying? a negative $250 for SGA easy money, plus $2.25 for Wemby, plus $1,500 for Luka, plus $6,000 for Joker, and plus $25 for Jalen Brown. And J.B. obviously won't get it, but he's Demire had... Yeah, $1,000, but he's, in the top three for MVP. Yes, me first, first team.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Got him top three? Who will be? For MVP? No, what I'm talking about for Jay. Jailen Brown. Oh, Gid B. Yeah. I don't know why he always gets, like, overlooked, bro.
Starting point is 01:10:52 What, he did for fucking Boston? or he did when J.T. was gone? For sure. Man, he surprised this shit out of me because I didn't think Boston was going to be one of the top teams in the East. I didn't even. And that was a conversation in the summer.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Everybody was just like, what did his first option Jaylorah? I looked like, too. And they didn't really do much of that roster. I'm rolling. I'm rolling. Superstar. He doesn't get enough credit, though, man.
Starting point is 01:11:15 He don't. He got to go to Vegas, bro. It's different over it. You do. To the expansion? Yes, bro. Get your own team. That's the only time he's going to get his own team.
Starting point is 01:11:24 No, that's a fact, because he's always going to be second-foot with 18. Damn, okay, we got the clip right here? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bring me back. Blurred. He's on VHS. My man, Chris Paul with a nice path, a tough path, hey? Hey.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Oh, that was cool. And he failed, too. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. You think it did the big head bounce on me. That's crazy. Oh, that's crazy. Wow. And he doubled down with it.
Starting point is 01:11:54 That's crazy. That's crazy. That was wild. You guys, Tony? It's not. I didn't say that. Man, I was just a poke-old.
Starting point is 01:12:08 That's what he's insane. He did push that. We celebrated is crazy, but then homie holding up to make it funny. That's my brother, though. That's my brother. Yeah, that's my brother.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Y'all got to get your brother on the pond. Yeah, that's my brother. That's my brother. That was a crazy game. All right, man. We got some of the MVP. odds who might get the chip this year. How you feeling, man?
Starting point is 01:12:27 The chip? Yeah. Okay C. Okay C, repeat. Yeah, hell yeah, absolutely. I'm rolling with that too. Okay, see, I've been preaching that since the beginning of the season, bro. You know, what's crazy?
Starting point is 01:12:36 They coach Mark, uh, I can't say his last name. Mark B. I'm called Paul. Yeah. Y'all, we all bullshit in the same. That's crazy. I got some crazy. I'm drug.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Where he's blaming that look to go? He was our, he went to Yukon. He was our manager. Damn. He was on the chip. For real? He was getting me waters and shit. I thought of my man, man.
Starting point is 01:13:09 Bad ass. I'm my bullshit. I'm my partner now. He'll tell you. That's crazy, though. We were just talking about that, though. You know, so I'm not, for him having this success, I'm not surprised, man, because he saw he worked his weight up.
Starting point is 01:13:23 Yeah, he literally just talked about. people in the basketball world having these, you think, bullshit jobs and they work their weight to the top. It's crazy, bro. I love that. Shout out to, man, to Mark, man. Because I've seen it.
Starting point is 01:13:36 Yeah. I've seen it. You know, doing the stats, being the manager, grabbing water, rubbed in the floor with the towel. Damn. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 01:13:46 He's a head coach, an NBA team. I would have never thought that, bro. And he got that team rocking, too. Because he's coming to game. Everybody coming to get that. It's all, bro. The shit with OKC that I love and you don't see this.
Starting point is 01:13:57 And Jeff, you can agree to this is how together they are. Oh, that's good. Yeah. Do the interviews, all of them back. That shit is fine. Like a college team. So you can tell they fuck with each other off the court too. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Most of the time, we don't really fuck with each other, man. Like, it's... You didn't have a team that you, like, Jill, with everybody? Nah, I was with some bad teams, bro. I was on some bad team. Yeah, the Milwaukee did. Yeah, we have a two or three dudes that we fuck with, but the team, the whole team. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:25 Damn. M.A. Wicked. It is. Now, last year they took them to seven, but I care if one was hurt. Can the healthy Nuggets team, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:14:34 Might knock you off. Yeah. They started catch the ride. Payton Watson back. Joker's still Joker. Jamar Murray looking like, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:14:42 The Nuggets and the Lakers were the scariest team now that the Lakers, everybody hurt. Yeah. I think. Yeah. We're going to just overlook San Antonio. You're all about to say,
Starting point is 01:14:50 San Antonio. Somebody's talking about the Spartan. They ain't young, though. They ain't never. been there. Everybody else been. And was O.K.C. there when they won. They were young, too.
Starting point is 01:15:00 Yeah, but they got out of the hump against the Denver team. They had to meet that Denver team. They did. Yeah, this is a lot for the spur. They got to go through that fire. But they are capable, because if women are going to play like this, and the way that squad rocking out of the league. They're in the league.
Starting point is 01:15:11 They struggle with. Yeah, it's a little. They've been three times. That's a regular. People are. Who the three-teed in a lot? It was the Lakers. Yeah, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:15:22 You're wrong with the Lakers? They don't matter. No more. I mean, starting at point, I'm hype for that, but it's probably over. Iron not giving. He got to put that on his next shoe.
Starting point is 01:15:32 Yeah, Aaron not good. So the Nuggets are going to basically go to be the 3C right now. Move on, dude. He's going to sound like I'm a hater. Nuggets. See, the Spurs got to do with the Nuggets. I don't think they can beat them.
Starting point is 01:15:42 That is. That's a tough matchup. Now, they would have been happy with the Lakers. I don't know if they would be the one. Denver and Senate, that was special. Yeah. That game was special. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:15:52 He leads center match up. Yokers ain't even playing. serious right now, though. I don't understand, bro. When you look at you, you're like, hell, no. There ain't no way. He's cold. Nah, he's 30, 20, 15.
Starting point is 01:16:04 Easy, though. Easy. He didn't even surprised looking at them numbers. Tom, Pop, and they're all the time to be here? For sure. It's time. It's 10. Five, three.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Three? You all right? Did you heard you? No, G's going to be mad. I thought you heard of here. Shaq, Corrine. Lajuan. And then go, O.G is going to say Bill Russell.
Starting point is 01:16:24 I got me respect to I didn't see it I didn't see it I didn't see it I didn't see it I see it I see it
Starting point is 01:16:34 I see it I'm true you see that the real he he reached he was he would
Starting point is 01:16:43 he would like I didn't see it like I see them numbers Will was 50 and 20 and 20 in the same
Starting point is 01:16:50 yeah you did this is it doesn't it doesn't exist this green You seen the hundred?
Starting point is 01:16:55 Yeah, I seen it, bro. I was too to you. You ain't see the hundred. I seen it, bro. Nobody seen it, bro. It don't exist. It don't exist. That's my conspiracy all down on the hill, bro.
Starting point is 01:17:03 Like, to me, the will shit, don't disrespect. You average 50 with no threes, bro. Who are you playing against, man? 50, average. That's what. That was, see, that was some trick shit I did on you. You don't fuck with Bill. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:17:19 I don't know. They don't know. They don't know. Same area. I see it. I see it. I see. You got 11 rings, right?
Starting point is 01:17:29 Yeah. Okay. So, Joker ain't better than how Kim Ologger won. I don't think so for the time. No, yeah. Kim got two rings. Yeah. Yolke's thing.
Starting point is 01:17:38 One of one. I'm cold, bro. Yeah, he cold. But Joker's top five for sure. Cold. Yeah. Respect. All right.
Starting point is 01:17:44 Now, in the east, it's a little tricky. Obviously, with Kay, me, and I hopefully come back strong for the pistons. They got a well machine, but we'll see what they do. Celtics. I got Celtics coming out to East. I don't believe in Knicks. Cavs got a squad. Your Hawks, don't think.
Starting point is 01:17:58 It could really just be matchups in the East. I don't think there's nobody that's clear cut. Boston is pretty solidified, bro. Okay. They are that well. It's solid, man. Boston is solid with J.T. back. I think they're going to miss that out of him.
Starting point is 01:18:13 I like Cleveland a lot. I like that James Harding shit. True. Yeah. The playoff shit with James Harding. Is he going to finally get over that fucking hump? I got him getting over it. Yeah, I got him.
Starting point is 01:18:24 But that's two people on that team who got, you know what I'm saying, finally broke that playoff stigma with him in Donovan Mitchell. You know Donovan Mitchell be killing, but he ain't got past the second round of knee. Donovan Mitchell, he never had no co-pilot like this, though. That is a fact. And Evan Mobley and Jerry Allen away that, you know what I'm saying? James got their offense running. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:39 Lops is high, man. They got all the ingredients to win. We have this argument all the time with James Harding. I mean, with Donovan Mitchell. Can you win with a small guard? What was the last time being your number one option? What was the last time of Smallguard being the number one option? And when I'll probably say no.
Starting point is 01:18:58 It's G. He's, he's not. I mean, he's 6'4. He's 6'4. He's tall. Donald Mitchell, like 64, 63, 64. Is he? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:09 He's taller than me. Yeah. He can get it done. That's fair. She is a, you know, Shay is, but. Yeah, we're going to say, we'd be a little bit. That's probably it, though.
Starting point is 01:19:19 So you have a little. He's 6.2? You got us two? Yeah. What the hell of a lot? You got a legit. You probably 511. You probably 511.
Starting point is 01:19:25 You probably 511. You probably got over the shit argument. That's true. About five a day. I'm 72 inches, because. Whoa. Great. With the measurements over here?
Starting point is 01:19:34 Crazy. That's good, man. Come on, bro. Just tell me how to talk you. I don't like talking to inches. Yeah. I don't like that. I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:19:44 This is tough to turn, bro. It's talking by inches. It's little measurements. You got a fair argument, man. Y'all diggers are childish. You got a fair argument, though. I don't think you can win with a small guard on a many team, though.
Starting point is 01:19:55 That is true. Not a kid. Staying Donner. With like a step is different. It's Wardell. Best shooter in the world. That's PG of all time. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:20:07 Steph got what, four? Yeah. That's really it. Round them. Yeah. Like the Hall of Famer. Look at who around him. He got two.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Went over. But that's why I think they can get over the hump because now Donovan Mitchell's finally has a solid number two options. Yeah. And he doesn't have to worry about creating for other people. He can just go get 50. I'll make sure everybody else involved in the game. Just go go kill. Because Jared Allen been looking
Starting point is 01:20:31 crazy with James Park. That guy Kenney Ellis, that got the guy, did it short off the bitch. They got a talent to rock. They got a good. They got a good team. Yeah. I think the eastern playoffs is going to be real shocking, man, because I don't think there's a clear cut at all. They're not rolling with Detroit, though. I love Detroit, man. If Kate is healthy, I'll take the pissings out of the east. Yeah, if Kaye come back
Starting point is 01:20:48 healthy, if Kate is back healthy, I'll take the person off the east. The way that that second end had been playing, Jayland Dernerer looking like an all- NBA player. He is. I'm not rolling. You know, I ain't home. You sleep? Like you said, with all that being saying. I don't know, bro.
Starting point is 01:21:01 I don't know if you because I played there and my time there, they didn't go so smooth. But I don't know, fam. I just don't think they can be Boston, fam, or Cleveland. I know they're the best team in the East, but I still think I still got Celtors in Cleveland ahead of him. And the Hawks is bawling now. Yeah, I don't think on them too now. They're bawling. That's my favorite team.
Starting point is 01:21:23 But more older McCorma for the Hawks, bro. A more older? Yeah, a coma. Sleep. He isn't risen. Them are out of here. 14 strokes, 10 heart attacks. I'm a potter.
Starting point is 01:21:34 That's L.O. to go. Hawks are never. How many strokes? He said, 14. He said, how many strokes? Your child. 14 of days. Huh.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Hardly. Yeah. Yeah. Before we can get to be. I told you. Ready for that? All right. Now, we'll see, man.
Starting point is 01:22:00 Playoff the time, we'll be here for sure, man. Charlie Vee, man, we appreciate you sliding on this, man. Chap into the pod, man. Go ahead and promo the restaurant and the pie one more time, man, so the people can pull up and support. Yeah, Coach her. Yeah. Houston.
Starting point is 01:22:12 Check us out, man. And then the pie, we go Monday to Thursday, YouTube live to the Baja with Theo Pinson and found out. Dean Wells just joining the squad, too, man. And we got my heart. Yeah, yeah. He's on the real conference. man.
Starting point is 01:22:26 Sorry, we definitely not playing y'all no more shit. Oh, yes, I was like, yeah. We got D-Wil. Yeah, yeah. We got some muscle out of these balls. Damn.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Nah. Got some what I in here? We got any strokes. Before we get kids, be here, tell me we right and grab some bird. Yeah, shop club 520.com. You know, my, man.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Shout out to boot smoke with shouts to stockade. Shouts a hard rock bet. We appreciate y'all. We'll catch out next time, Club 520. Yes, sir. The volume.
