Like he wanted to, and I think he just, you know, put all that into me at Paul's and wanted me to like, now I gotta, you know. Now you good, you good. You can talk about Paul's and wanted me to like I got you I got you I gotta make sure I'm on point so yeah it started my dad like and my sister she

she who my brother Jeff know all them like my they played a mighty and play at the highest level but they they uh that's what kind of started when i was a kid and started when i was a kid i played church league when i was like five six years old and then i kind of just ran with it from there yeah that's when you realized you was faster than everybody else at five yeah you know what's crazy i always been fast i can tell yeah i always been fast like and it ain't on on like if we got on the line and like ran suicide i'm not that fast. But as soon as we get a basketball, like,

Jeff was 07. So they had our sectional a lot. Imagine being as good as you are and still having to deal with another NBA player in your sectional. That's crazy. Indiana basketball, especially that time period, was different because everybody had a pro player at one point. Damn near. Damn near. What was it like that where you was from man honestly uh we had jamie skiing jamie was good man uh he went to vcu that was a final four run who was steph was from you know

i grew up playing with steph uh funny story yo so jeff we watching uh Jeff had came to, we was at, what's the little joint where you go in the back door? I don't even remember, at Wake. So you came to the room, hung out, we used to play the game at Faye's room. So we was playing video games. So we was playing video games, and Jeff, like this is Steph, the first year of Steph at Hoop.

I was like, yeah, you know I used to play AAU with Steph. Jeff said, no you didn't man. I said, yeah, you don't remember I played, like I played AAU with him whenever the case is. So they ended up doing something, I think. All American. Yeah, all American thing. And Jeff was like, oh, you did play AAU with him.

And so, like, I was a fan of them.

But, you know, man, I was thinking as I started getting older, like, man, they ain't recruiting me. Like, they recruit outside of the state or wherever they were going. You know what I mean? And they're Carolinas, so they can get who they want. So then all of a sudden, Jay, like, we, what happened? And then Chris Paul came. Well, it was Josh Howard.

So we finished the season, whatever the case is. knew we had a like a really good recruiting class and james jeff and gary so we was like yo we're gonna be straight we're gonna be better next year we're gonna be way better next year and when they came in man we just got like my sophomore and junior year we was we got yeah we was turned man we had weight yeah we turned we had weight like yeah man we had weight turned up i'm talking about people used to come into the practice facility and like sit in there and watch us practice now i'm talking i'm saying play pickup yeah they're sitting in there
