He's the president. You know, boss?
Locked it.
Shout out to the good people at Atlanta Life, man.
You're never too early to get life insurance.
Tap me in.
John, I want to ask you this, brother.
You obviously, one of the first people you think about
when you talk about NAL conversations, right?
What do you think life would have been like for you
coming out of high school with the capabilities
and opportunities they got now?
am I getting paid in high school or waiting to college?
Oh, do you get paid?
We know what you're going.
You were top 10.
You was getting paid as a junior.
It would be indifferent, but I think the most important thing,
I tell the kids with NIL is don't let it change you.
You know what I mean?
Some of these kids are getting the money
and they're not working out the same way they were before
because you can tell if they really love the game
or they want the lifestyle.
So I got the cars, we got the jewelry.
I got the clothes.
I'm not working out the same way.
So I think me, if I was in college,
I probably would have got.
If they say Cooper got 20, I would have got 30.
because I had to dance
and I had a song
so you got to add that to it.
Oh, forgot about the song.
Cool.
Cooper got $20 million.
They said all together
with New Balance
and all the stuff he got,
he got 20.
Damn.
That's why I were replaced.
30 would have been sweet.
That's a good kickstarted
to life, though, too.
I mean, he had got five anyway,
but that's 30?
I ain't get five.
I ain't got nothing.
I ain't get nothing, T.
What are you all here telling?
We talked about that.
That's my fault.
Hey, what?
It's over with now.
You got a 10?
Carried one.
They were way forward.
They was giving out 10.
You got 10 what?
They didn't see, but they didn't talk about that 10.
And they didn't bring you all off.
There's horror stories that he tell.
He for sure they had no 10.
That's it, 10,000.
I was in the bed, though.
Now, listen, man, we always talk about you, period, because we rock with you heavy,
but especially like that high school mixtape area.
Where do you rank yourself as far as high school mixtape?
because you definitely have one of the best we've ever seen in that situation, bro.
One.
Number one.
I go to be one.
I go Achille Car, two, Austin Rivers three.
Shows for the crime, shopper.
Was that a real school you went to?
Who?
Which one?
Akeel?
Nah, I'm talking about you in that mix tape.
Word of God, Christian Academy?
Yeah, Word of God, Christian Academy.
It's a word of God of Indianapolis because it is.
It ain't no good.
Now, I want just for me.
Randy Pulley used to go there back in the day, but I won't just for me.
Like Deswells went there.
Bishop Daniels.
All then went there.
Because Paul Rie Gervis had a school, dude.
Shut down.
What were making Christian?
Yeah.
Look at you.
You name it at all.
You said it.
I got to watch it.
You got to wire you over here.
You're telling on everybody.
But it was a make, being in North Carolina at the time that you was coming up.
Yeah.
I was at Wake Forest and I remember them telling me it was somebody that was faster and a little more athletic than me.
And I was like, hell no.
And then his mixtape came out.
Yeah.
I was like, y'all.
for some.
No, for sure.
It was like, we ain't got enough money,
duh.
I was like, yeah, it's true.
Man, I watch you a lot of wait for us.
I even came down there,
I think the year you had just left.
Yeah.
I came down to, I came down to,
the Ishmith was down there.
C.J. Harris.
I fruque and them.
Because I was thinking about you
was coming back that next year.
Oh, no.
And we would have played them.
We would have played in the attorney,
but you was gone.
No, no, no.
You didn't have to worry about.
You want coming back?
No, no.
The first time they said,
Jete on the draft board.
You was gone.
I didn't know where we got that money and I was gone.
That would definitely.
Way force is on your list for sure?
No.
No, they're one on my list.
Oh, okay.
Because my homeboy J.T. Terrell ended up going there.
So he took a visit there and I went down there with him.
We played pickup.
That's the first time I seen James Johnson.
Oh.
Shout to J.J.
Really good.
Smoke with him.
Yeah, no.
Still to this day.
Nah, leave alone.
Yeah.
Please leave Malone.
Yeah.
Please leave Malone.
J.T. War Zero.
I was hot.
Did he for real?
I didn't know that.
You know what I mean?
What's going on?
Damn, they ain't retired your number.
Nowhere.
You play a cut.
Everybody gets to wear a cut, don't know?
Let me go get that zero.
I'm the high school coach at my high school in my jersey.
I'm retiring it this year.
No, for sure.
You got to do it yourself.
For sure, bro.
You earn that right.
You earn that right for sure.
How do you end up in Kentucky, bro?
Wherever Coach Kyle was going, that's where I was going.
I remember my first time watching Derek Rose play Oklahoma in the Guard.
Yeah.
And I seen how he played.
I was like, that's the exact way I play.
So why would I go anywhere else?
Me, I just wanted to take all the visits, get all the free year.
I did that.
Out of the gate.
My mom had caught an angrizona.
I've seen years, so I almost went to NC State.
That was her dream school for me to go to.
Okay.
It was like five minutes from where I grew up.
And then when she got healthy, she was like, just go to the best school for you.
And it was where Coach Kyle was going, so I went straight to Kentucky.
Did you bring the guys on, D.
D.C., bless him.
Well, the funny part is the market is going to go to NC State.
with me. I had never met E. Bled, I met DeMarcus
when I was 14 at a camp.
Okay. And we said we wanted to go to college together
and then we end up doing that, but E. Blede came
on his own, John, John Hood,
Daniel Orton, or Dillon, all them came on their own. And I remember
getting that, Coach Kyle was like, I know you're leaving out to eight months,
but don't leave by yourself. I'm like, what you mean?
You're like, take some people with you. I didn't think
I was going to take four guys in the first round, but we ended up
being the first group of guys that have five guys
to go in the first round. For sure,
yeah, make some noise from that. I ain't
going to lie, bro. Y'all were so special.
I'm a die-hard Louisville fan.
That was the first time in my life
I ever rooted for Kentucky.
I was just like,
hey, these young niggas hoop the way I like basketball.
Like, I'm rocking with them.
And y'all had a legendary game at the garden.
It gets Kimba.
Yeah, yeah.
Please speak on that.
That's one of the hardest college basketball games I ever watched.
Boy, you're going against Cartierke.
It was electric, man.
It was probably like our baby, like seven game of the season.
They were like, all right, you got Kimball.
You got Jerome Dyson, Stanley Robinson, rest of the piece to him.
Alijori.
Yaki.
They had all those guys, and they say every scout, every GM is here.
I'm like, it's showtime then.
The lights is bright.
I remember I got two fouls early in the first half, so Coach Kyle sent me down.
I was mad.
And then we scored, like, out of the last 16, I had 15 of the points the last four minutes.
Yeah.
And that were 25, and after that it was written after that.
You knew you was gone after that game?
Yeah, it was over.
Yeah.
My A.U coach called me was like, you don't really got to play no more, but you do what you do.
But I wanted to play, though, because the next game is,
We go back to school and we got Carolina.
And that was my dream school where I wanted to go,
and they had got Larry Drew.
And we had played them in the Glackso-Smith tournament.
When he was at Taft, so I was like, okay, I got to play this kid.
He never played against him.
He always smoked.
And Dexter Strickland was there.
He used to be the number one point guard.
So I remember we was Pit Jamfest.
He didn't want to play.
Then we go to St. Pat's.
His pot told me he wasn't playing in the City of Palms.
So I'm like, this is my first time to play against him.
I got to cook him.
So when he subbed in, the market looked at him was like,
you were in trouble now.
So we cooked them and everybody back home was mad.
You just cook everybody.
No, we cooked them in college.
We was cooking.
No, no.
It was cooking everywhere.
Now, you definitely went crazy in college.
Who was that this I lost to in the tournament?
You lost me a lot.
You damn did it hit my hand.
I ain't going to lie.
No, I don't got to do that.
Yeah, you never wrote me about a bang.
A being.
You and DeMarcus was out there bullshit.
No, we won't.
I didn't lie.
We was only two hooping.
He played up to.
Markis attitude.
You know I love you, bro.
Your attitude was horrible, bro.
I was talking about that game.
You don't even remember what happened that game.
Y'all was killing, bro, but the market's attitude was so fast.
You know what happened?
Let me tell you what happened.
They start off in man.
We're cooking them.
Bob Huggins, I got an end when he looked at me and said, we're going one through one.
We're not playing you in man no more.
They had Debbie Ebens guarding me.
They didn't make a two-point basketball first half.
They hit all threes.
And Joe Mazzula had his best game his career.
He hit like four threes.
He was cooking.
He was cooking.
He cooked me that game.
He was cooking.
Yeah, Joe Mazzoole was killed.
but why don't you make no adjustments, cut?
Adjustments?
Adjustments?
We start off 0-4-31 from 3.
That's the adjustment right there.
We couldn't make a 3.
I'm sick of Eric Blesso still.
I'm going to say you go over 31 from 3, you can't make no adjustments.
Got to figure some shit off.
They lost his worst than ours was.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
Wait, was y'all's first game?
What you mean?
Oh, could chill, I can't remember.
I didn't drink this deal.
Because he lost first game.
How many shots you had up here?
About four.
We was elite eight.
Listen, you know how Nullo was up here talking?
Yeah.
We were the game.
We would have beat them.
We would have played Nolan in the final four Indiana.
Y'all had to beat their ass, too.
Yeah, we had smoke for them.
No one just left you and tell him he was the best.
Yeah.
When he talks, when he leave, I'm back talking again.
Nah, but we kind of overlooked West Virginia.
We kind of wanted to play Duke because Coach Cow had never got to play Coach K.
So as shoot around, he's like, I got, we got to win this game to get to Duke because he wanted to play them.
And we felt sure.
So there's nothing telling you, like, I'm going to come back and try to win it again.
Why?
I respect that. Go get that one.
They say you won't. I knew DeMarcus won't come back.
How can I go?
You're right. You're right.
No, DeMarcus really wanted to come back.
Like, he went out to meet with Coach Kyle.
That nigga, lying.
I'm dead serious.
No, I'm dead serious.
He's my roommate.
Bro, he didn't think he was going to leave after one year.
Why?
He was a top five pick.
You understand?
This is my roommate.
I'm talking to him every day.
He didn't understand he was going to be a top five pick.
He was like, oh, I'm not good enough.
He didn't know what he was doing.
I was like, bro, you dominate.
Like, you're going top five.
He was a double-double in college.
But you know, some people just don't believe in their seven times.
Yeah, shout out to my boy.
That's my guy, man.
I love him to that.
Because now we always have his conversation.
Shots our guy, Mook, man, 520 Mook.
He always says, you know what I'm saying?
That Kentucky squad.
Mook is where he should be.
Oh, they couldn't beat us.
They couldn't beat us.
They couldn't beat us.
No.
I said that too.
They can't beat us.
I said that too.
They only say that because they won a-
Who checking me?
Him.
He said he was.
Who?
Freaky Mookie.
Hey, listen, let me tell you something.
If Mookie was playing like, listen, if Mookie was playing like he was in high school, I give him that.
Mookie would say Mookie when he got to Kentucky.
Because he had a toned down.
Oh, hold, let me talk to you.
Turn it down white.
I ain't turn it down, D. Rosie?
You got the floor, go ahead.
Dron Lamb, Ebleed.
I'm taking Ebleed, he bled a dog.
The Marcus is a dog.
Who?
D'ron Lem is not a dog.
He's a buggy shoot, but he ain't no dog.
What kind of dog?
What kind of dog is?
Backport.
Backport connection.
Well, okay.
It's going up.
Talk about it.
So what kind of dog would Duran be?
If you had to pick a dog.
What kind of dog?
He's a house dog.
You know, like you like a little,
like a little French,
like a little French bulldog.
Oh, he was Frenchie.
Oh, he got my dad.
He's aggressive, but he looked quiet.
He and a little shy now.
What was y'all going to do about Anthony Davis?
What he was going to do about Bull?
I don't know.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Hold on.
Who?
Gilly.
Gilly.
Gilly going to do him.
But who's going to do it?
Pat.
Patrick Patterson was.
T. Jones.
No, T. Jones was nice, but he got to think Pat was bullyball, too, bro.
That's a fact.
And he still had old boy, but he was on y'all team, too.
T. Jones was nice, though.
No, T. Jones was definitely nice.
Y'all didn't have nobody for him.
Patrick Patterson.
Quiet, cut.
It's not quiet, bro.
Quiet.
You think so?
T. Jones.
He was nasty.
He was wrong.
T. Jones is nice for sure.
But you got to think, like, AD blocked a lot of shots and catch lies.
He wasn't dominating scoring.
He didn't have to.
He averaged four blocks.
I get that, but the mark is going to be bullying.
He ain't just going for that.
You think that.
That's a tough match for sure.
It ain't no cake walk, bro.
The mark is my favorite big of all time.
What's the big kid from Mississippi State that's blocking all the shots?
Bull was cooking him.
He did the same thing AD did.
It's blocked shots.
He let it country and blocks.
It wasn't the same as AD.
What?
AD changed the whole game, Cud.
Go watch it.
If you go put the kid on Mississippi State in Kentucky, he's doing the same thing, I promise you.
AD had more blocks than the whole nation.
That's a fan.
Go look at Mississippi State's stats, I promise you.
I know, man.
Google it on your podcast.
When y'all got that.
That's Kentucky.
But they can't be a lot of it.
I got y'all, though, because I do got y'all.
I just couldn't let you speak on a little Mookie like that.
I like it.
Well, Mookie went down.
I thought Mook was going to do the same thing he was doing in high school because he was electric.
He just toned it down and everybody else do their thing and try to be a true point guard.
So, Tom.
So Cal couldn't tone you down.
How?
Oh, okay.
Respect.
Because Mook was a bucket.
We always tell Mookie.
He should have went to Cincinnati instead.
No, he should have played the way he played in high school and never changed.
he would have been good.
He just toned it down.
He should have went to Cincinnati.
I told him to follow John.
Yeah.
He was going to go to Cincinnati with who?
Yeah, but it's his brother.
It's his brother's fault because he was following your black ass.
Yeah, but you go to Cincinnati and then you're not getting no exposed.
You're not on those big games.
Smook would have averaged a dub.
But you wouldn't have been on those.
Every night, every night you're going to be on CBS, ESPN, ABC.
That's real.
All right.
All right.
We got to ask about this.
Be him.
We know about this game very well, man.
Lockout season, Pro Wham.
You pulled up to the city, man.
You and Teague went at it
This is my first time meeting, bro
I said he's a cool-ass dude
bro, you came to my city
and got to it man in the lockout
And what you probably didn't know about this
Teague was a little motivated
because of be here
It had nothing to do with you
Because of Shell
Shout to Shelvin Mac
Yeah
What happened?
Why I started?
So look, bro got drafted
To the Wizards, right?
I was already like,
damn John, he cold
You know what I'm saying
So I knew he was gonna do your thing
But I always told him
He used to always talk shit to me
I'm like my nigga's way better
than you, bro
I used to tell him Sheld
because he used to just talk so fucking much
I'm like you're not even like that
so we had the game
I'm arguing with Oscar Robertson people
I'm not even paying attention to him
he in the game killing
dunking this shit dunking all on Shills
crossing him over
you big in da da la
I wasn't even paying attention though
so I started a war really I really was hoping
that you would have won at him but it didn't go like that
bro I mean like two plays
yeah but it wasn't crazy
he wasn't crazy in that game
yeah for sure
It was all because of you.
Yeah, it was.
I want to talk about when getting drafted here and being a number one pick
in D.C., and, like, obviously, they called it Chocolate City when I was coming up,
and it was like a culture.
It was a vibe.
Okay, respect for my fuck.
Chocolate City.
My bad old school?
Chocolate City.
It still is Chocolate City.
And, like, getting drafted here, and, like, I got drafted to Atlanta.
Similar kind of city, you know what I mean?
But being drafted here, what was that moment?
It was surreal. I think just, you know, everybody dream of making it to the lead, but we don't know where we're going to go and get drafted.
My dad was from Southeast D.C. A lot of people didn't know that. So being able to drive four hours from North Carolina, my family can make it to every game.
But like I said earlier, just embracing me, knowing that I was trying to figure it out with everything that just had went on with the organization, handing me the keys, understanding that it was a slow process.
We had to learn how to win. We had a lot of young guys that was trying to hold a new slate.
and then we found a way to get back to the community.
That's the most important thing.
I think a lot of us think just because we make money,
we pull to be cool and pull to do all these things.
But I think just touching the people and letting them know
that you're normal just like them.
That was the most important thing for me to touching the people.
If I see people out, I always say, what's up to them,
taking pictures and doing those things.
So, yeah, you know, I'm going there too when I got a little older.
But just doing those things coming back and the city embracing me.
We started winning.
And it was late after that.
It was Chocolate City.
And it was great to be outside.

Lisa, we should tell them about our new show.
Oh my God, Lexi.
We have a new podcast.
It's called Don't Lie to Me.
I'm Lexi Youan.
We're two best friends, 22 years apart,
but so close at heart.
And I'm Lisa Di Giulio,
the old one, which means we have wildly different references,
occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all.
I'm not going to get anyone fighting.
That is wild.
I learned that about you today.
Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business,
and I've always got something to say.
If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world.
We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older,
a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating
you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight to fight, but there's only so much
fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.

Listen, shout out to the AlfaDin.
Working on their fitness in the gym.
Behan, how your journey going, brother?
Going pretty good, man.
Usually I'll stop and get something else,
but, you know, I just come to the studio.
We've got to work, pop it in the mic away.
Quick two minutes, bro.
You're ready to go.
Come on, man.
TIG, man, professional athlete.
You know how important it is to eat a great meal after a great workout,
man, talk to the people.
You know how I do I get my protein shake,
but when we've had these Factor meals,
bro, they've been here sitting for us.
And we had some premium steak.
Yeah, premium steak, strip, down there.
Yeah, man.
I mean, right.
I was like, I ain't had to go to nowhere else.
I just come to the studio, popping in the microwave, make things happen.
And that's the important part, man.
Listen, man, proximity to good meals and good food, man,
is an important part of your workout and your recovery factory got you held down.
All you got to do is tap in elite meals, too, clean ingredients.
I know a lot of health scares going on right now.
Ain't got worried about that with factor, man.
They're going to get you together, get you the protein.
There's substance you need to move on for sure.
And right now, man, you can tap.
tap in with factor meals.com slash club 520.
Use a promo code.
Get 50 off the tribe, man.
You get a free daily greens box and elite products and meals as well, man.
That's Club 520 right there.
Factor Mills, Club 520, wish I to be healthy.
You're the number one wizard of all the time.
For sure.
Like, it's, you put the city on your back by a landslide.
And my biggest respect about it is, no matter what was going on with you personally
in an organization, you still always held your commitment to the community.
And I thought there was always a dope part.
Regardless what was going on, whatever they were saying, put smut on your name.
You were still showing up, still doing what you said you did,
and that's real respect because we see a lot of stuff happening.
Yeah, it makes a noise for that.
Absolutely.
That's 100%.
Even like with the Jaylon Brown situation, what happened in Boston,
he still did to give back.
We see a lot of people who don't say,
it's business at the end of the day,
but you stay tapping into this community.
So respect for that, brother, for show.
Yeah, I think there's just a testimony to my mom.
She was like, it's better to be known as a greater person,
and just a good basketball player.
And she always, even when I made it,
she would be up giving out tickets and doing the sales at the basketball
at the tournament at 6 a.m.
or going to TJ Max and Marshalls
when she could have been doing
all the type of things.
So for me, just giving back,
that was just something I always wanted to do.
And I think most importantly,
people, like I said before,
we got the money and we just give stuff away.
No, it's like giving your time, be present.
So if I got something from 9 to 12,
I want to be there from 9 to 12,
not just show up for an hour,
take pictures and leave.
That's not being true to your fans.
Sure, bro.
That's why you...
That's why you...
That's why you're number one, bro.
For real.
You embrace the city like it was yours.
You get back to the city, Atlanta?
Atlanta
Atlanta?
He gave back.
It just depends on where it is.
Yeah, it depends on where it is.
That one spot.
Oh.
Who's on that?
You're going out there.
So are your spot.
I don't be in the trenches.
You deliver?
You deliver?
I'm delivered.
No, no.
Hold on.
Yo, y'all.
I went on that.
Respect.
Oh, there, my.
Hold on. But we had a battle.
I remember I want to talk to you about this.
We ain't had a pie yet.
I want to talk to you.
You got hurt.
We played y'all in the playoffs.
Remember he was mad at him.
You hurt your hand.
I think you might have broke your hand.
He broke five bones in your hand.
I remember I was like, damn, John hurt.
I ain't say, then.
I was like, it's trying to hurt.
That's crazy.
That's some hate that shit.
No, they're trying to win the series.
He's been real.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I remember he was on the bench.
He was like, yeah, yeah, I'm coming back.
I'm like, ain't no way he's coming back with a broke hand.
I'm like, he's coming back.
He came back.
He said, oh, he came back.
And he was hoping, man.
Yeah.
Like, how did you do that?
Well, I was really mad because the doctors took too long.
I finished game one when it happened.
I didn't know I went to the back.
And I was trying to take a shower and had like a white muffin hand.
I couldn't watch my back.
I'm like, y'all out there my hand broke.
So they don't even go to the doctor's like three days later before the next game.
I'm like, what are y'all doing?
We need to go see what's going on.
So I miss game two, miss game three, and then game four, I tried to warm up.
But I had to get my hand on them.
I didn't know my hand.
It's like, for three hours, I wouldn't feel no pain.
But once the game was over, it was bad the reality.
So they kind of did it on time for game five.
And I'm mad because they tried to ISO didn't the shoulder on me.
Yeah.
And I blocked this shot.
And then they dropped the rebound.
I'll whoever pick it up and make the lead.
Y'all win game five.
And then y'all come back and close it out game six here.
But I was mad because Shroder posted a pitcher.
I think he was next to Kent baseball.
one of my name was thinking somebody and he's like this.
So when I beat them in 2017,
I posted a picture back.
You're laying on the ground like this.
I get up.
For sure.
I had to get back.
That was crazy.
That series was crazy.
Every time he played,
y'all was always lit.
I was always fun.
I was like,
y'all talk.
So you didn't talk crazy to me,
but you talked crazy around me.
Yeah.
Like, I can I respect you,
but everybody else I ain't really respect.
He'd be like,
they can't mess with me talking to the crowd.
I'm like, I'm going to hear you.
Hell.
But we're doing, man.
Like, we're going to go out next year, man.
What are we doing?
But he would always have great moments, like,
just incredible moments against us.
I'd be like, this dude, so good.
I'd be pissed.
And he was faster than me.
And nobody ever was faster than me.
I'm like, it was a few.
Come on, cut.
It was rare.
Show love.
Show love, but tell the truth, too, at the same time.
All right, who was faster than me?
Russell Westbrook fans are you.
Oh, yeah, he don't steer a little.
He was fast.
Oh.
No, it ain't going to smug.
I'm just saying, like, he's big.
Russell, Russell Westbrook,
Derek Rose had a quick step.
Oh, D.
He was different.
All defense.
He was different.
But y'all had to go in the area of PGs.
Yeah.
You held your own, though.
You was definitely top of up.
Yeah, I was.
Who?
You was top five.
Me?
Oh, fast?
No, I'm just talking about to Lee.
I'm like, hey, I don't know.
Nah.
No, I'm some real shit.
I give you a lot of shit.
I give you a lot of shit.
You was in that point of time, bro.
That's when the point guards was.
driven in the league, bro.
So you was in the woods for sure.
Yeah, that was the best position
and bro definitely held his own every night.
He wasn't ducking no smoke for sure.
Nah, hell, no.
He couldn't, bro.
He had to see one of y'all every night.
Yeah.
Shout out to them.
That's why we had an advantage, though,
playing in Atlanta.
Like, you kind of had an event in the D.C.
Everybody's going to go out.
Yeah.
Like, I knew y'all was going out of Atlanta.
I was like, I used to tell some of them.
Yeah.
Hey, Thundercat.
They're going to pull up tonight.
give them two.
Oh, set them up.
Out of the gate.
Two for one special.
Get John Wright.
Hospitality for show.
Like that one.
That's on me.
John love,
die,
Holy, y'all.
Get he right.
Out of the game.
Hey, yo.
That's crazy.
I want to ask you to John.
I was a part earlier
in the market to see you
with a full-lock inside for the ZigTig.
That was your signature shoe.
What was that like,
very fresh out?
You know what I'm saying?
Boy, shit.
I'm gonna tell you one thing.
It was BS, but listen, when they come with five year, $25 million at 19, you signed in that paper.
I don't care what them ZITT.
Make a noise for that.
But that's where you embrace the shoot.
But that's what they bore down to.
Really, in reality, a lot of people don't know, Adidas had bought Reebok at the time.
So they was trying, I really supposed to go with Ditas, but they was trying to build the Reebok culture backup kind of like AI had it.
And it was just a Zig Tech way with the running at the time.
So they put it as a basketball shoot.
And that's the first time I really had a serious injury.
We was playing Dare Rosen and he dribbled towards him.
I was playing it.
Took a taxi shot and I was spraying my foot.
Let's frame injury.
I'm like, yeah, I don't think he's it.
I don't think he's going to work.
Man, they tried to have us market those.
I said, because if John Wall came working, then he said,
what the fuck is we supposed to do?
For sure.
Did you keep moving in them, though?
For like another year.
Okay.
But I went to lower.
Like, I made like a mid shoe.
That was a hot top shoe.
Like, I was about to go boxing.
Damn.
Hey, because then one was weed.
He used to be like this.
We made his end.
like that.
Yeah.
It was easier to run on.
But the first Zietta was like this
because they had,
it was basically a running shoot.
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Not for sure, man.
Hey, what's the vibes like, man?
Another number one pick in the city, man.
Got A.J. here, got A.D. here.
Yeah, make some noise.
Hey, the Wizards are, man.
Trey Young here.
Be here high on the Wizards this year.
I'm behind the Wizards, bro.
I think it's super high.
You know what I think AJ come here.
All he has to do.
For him, it's not really the same amount of pressure
that I had.
Yeah.
You know what you got Trey Young here,
who's a superstar,
All-Star, All-Star, whatever you want to call it.
AED is the guys that's the top 75.
You have a lot of young guys that's being building and trying to figure it out.
They most important, they stay healthy.
They definitely make the playoffs.
It's just depending on how you build that chemistry and commodity together
because you've got so many young guys that still trying to get their next contract
and establish themselves in the league.
And that's the hard part of trying to figure out how can everybody get the right shots.
Because if you look at a start in five, all five of one-five, 15 to 20 shots a game.
So somebody got to take a back seat and let somebody else be the guy.
So who is going to take that back?
Seat. Alice Sarr, Kishan George, got to take the back seat.
My boy, Trey Johnson, yeah.
Well, he's already off the bench, so, you know what I mean?
He got to take the back seat.
You got Balakula Bali coming off the bench.
I feel like, like, Trey, they already double doubles every single night.
But then you got to put your number one pick in there, and he's better with the basketball in his hands.
Yeah.
So at times, you got to let him run picking rolls and put Trey Young on the wing and let him be a knock down, catch and shoot.
Shooter.
That's a real antislander, boy.
Yeah.
He cooked that one up.
That's my rookie at the year, bro.
That's my rookie at the year.
AJ DeBancer, bro.
A hard part about that is,
and we talked about it,
A Cup going to get 30 shots a game.
But listen, they don't base it off winning
in those days.
They base it off numbers.
You're right, because Cooper.
If they base it out winning,
then I could go that way.
But if they base it off numbers,
AICB might come to average 23, 24.
But then what if AJ is averaging 20 and they win it?
Then they got to get it.
They got to give it to him then if he's winning,
if he's having a 20.
Because that's what I say,
I'm just say that because that's what I see for him this year.
I think for him,
he's going to have a grab opportunity.
get out and transition run, slash,
and if you can make some catch and shoot threes,
that's going to help them get 20 easily.
For sure.
Bobby on some hoop shit.
Did we ever see the Philadelphia 76s
looking at the way that they're looking right now?
Like, we thought Jalen Brown was a crazy pickup in the offseason.
Then they get Bronn, too.
Like, they're eating crazy.
I know that the Wiz's on the Rockball.
He's going to be interesting.
It's going to be interesting.
I think for them is the same thing, though.
Jalen Brown go from wanting to be the number one in Boston.
And you was fighting for that to now.
Is it be the number one?
And then is Jalen Brown the two, or is it Maxie the two?
If you coach and though, who you tell to chill out a little bit?
Yeah, that's the very question.
If you're coaching the squad.
Out of the game.
He got to chill out.
He got to chill out.
I got to go Maxie and Jalen Brown.
Now, listen, if we have a mismatch problem, we need to get an easy bucket in the half court.
I'll go to you.
But I'm putting Brown at the point guard in that situation.
Let Maxie play out the ball, VJ play off the rock.
But you really, you can't do this, but you really for their team to be better.
They don't have a lot of spacing with shooting.
Maxie, the only catch a shoe guy on their team.
You should start Caldwell Pope, but you can't put VJ on the bench.
You can't.
You cannot.
But that would be better for their team if they were trying to win, but you can't do that.
It looks great.
Yeah, it'll go to do that.
So what you think, since you said, NB take a back to see, what you think is that stat line to be for them to be successful?
He's still going to get 20.
He and B.
He's going to be.
He's going to flop, get to the free to the line.
So like 20 and 10?
No, 20 and like 8.
He can't jump like you.
So you see him throw that lob in Brooklyn, bro.
He can't catch it.
Chill, boy.
He's not going to average eight rebats.
He did.
Be he don't really get a lot of rebound like you think you do all the time, bro.
I got it for six.
Six rebounds?
Now, he's Jared Jackson, Jr.?
He needs to retire if he gets into.
He didn't retire if he gets into.
He didn't get into.
He didn't healthy like he used to.
Who's going to rebound on the team?
Bron.
Brian and Brown, VJ, all those guys.
Okay.
And the problem they're going to have,
they don't have no depth at the center position.
That is true.
They might use that little injury exception to get somebody
because they lost a guy that was with the Knicks last year.
They should have got been in the Achilles.
They should have got Ben Simmons.
Hey, the real is back.
Oh, God.
John, I know you tapped in.
Yeah.
But when we talk about the King.
You know who to start power 40 is for the Sacramento Kings, right?
Yes.
Yes.
The Real is back.
John, man.
The Real 25.
Yeah.
The Real is back.
Oh, yeah, the crowd is full.
He locked here.
Yes.
He's the only Kings fan.
I want to ask you, man.
My boy went from fishing to start in the league.
That's mean
That's me
Oh, God
What was you going to say?
I'm trying to get off the king
So who you
Your take, bro
Your prediction right now
Who do you think
Gonna win it out this year, bro?
Damn, Spurs
Yes
The greatest we ever seen
Y'all can do all that
All y'all won't
I just think last year
They didn't have a closer
Deering Fox was supposed to be
They closed
He wasn't healthy
Yeah
Miss Johnson was the first year
Coach
So he was scared to make a justice
and called timeouts at certain situations.
And then Wimby didn't have a go-to move in the mid-posts anything.
But we knew when it got to the last five minutes of a game or two minutes,
we know where the Knicks going.
We know where he's going, you know what I mean?
So I think that's where they got at.
Yeah, bro.
Okay.
Nicks and five.
Wow.
They was getting beat every game by 15.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's quiet for that Nick shit.
Pace was back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you got a white socks hat to my Pace was back.
I don't like the place what's that.
God bless you.
I need that weed you smoking, brother.
As some of the purest you got out here, family, I need to plug.
Don't entertain that, John.
But show, man, before we get out here, make some noise one time for John Wall.
My dog, we appreciate you, family.

And he sort of looked me up and down and went, huh.
Hi, I'm Lisa Traeger.
And I'm Kara Klank.
And together, we host That's Messed Up,

dig into the actual crimes
and interview actors from the episode.
Like former SVU guest star Bradley Whitford.
Often I would meet people
who would assume that there was something
sort of Ted Bundy about me
because of these sort of characters that I play.
And we're celebrating our 300th episode
in style with the one, the only, John Stamos.
There's nobody better to play this character.
I'm like, what is this?
He's like, he's like,
He's a reproductive abuser and he tries to impregnate as many women.
I'm like, really?
I'm the guy like that.
Okay, fine.
