First and foremost, we got to talk about the background here, man.
T, you know what I'm saying?
You know you had the gym in the 0-520.
We ain't seen the gym like this, though.
Nah, yeah, it made me rethink my life.
No.
You go back to Germany to get the 10 days?
Yeah, I got to go back to the league.
I got to get that.
What's that surgery they had?
I'm going to try to get it now.
I got to get that.
Whatever that was from my knee in Germany, I got to go back out there.
But to come in his gym, man, this is crazy.
You know, having a half court at one point in my life.
But she's coming here to a full court with his pitchers all over the place.
This is dope, bro.
Unbelievable.
No, most definitely.
All right, work to pay you off, bro.
Shout to the hospitality, man.
Shout to you.
Shout to the team.
Everybody in the gym with us, man.
Off camera, showing love.
Listen, man, we don't put up to the high school game.
We don't got a full glimpse of Oklahoma for show, man.
What's it like being a man in your hometown, man?
Oh, man, it's cool.
I mean, I still don't necessarily consider myself the man, even though, like y'all say,
I mean, I do walk around.
It kind of feel like it a little bit, but I just, man, it's nice.
It's fun.
It is what it is.
I love it.
We love a humble KB.
We is at the game, man.
Oklahoma is lit, but like, it was like a little background of you growing up here, though, man.
What's the, because, you know, I had to ask my question, where do, where do you know what schools is at?
Yeah, yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So how was it going up?
Like, how did you even pick the school that you went to for high school?
Yeah, I mean, really the school I went to basically was because of my school, I mean, where I lived at.
Okay.
And so the district that I lived at, that was going to go to Norman North anyway.
So that's kind of how I picked it.
But, I mean, there's only two here in Norman that I would have went to.
Okay.
Because, you know, I was just saying to ask you that, because you know, nowadays,
kids automatically, well, once you get, like, I don't know how a few is ranked high or whatever,
but they want to leave, like, they surround the areas.
Yeah.
Throw always talk about, like, staying where you love, basically, and build something in your hometown.
Well, that was the thing.
Like, my senior year, so that's my junior year, even all the way through it,
it was a thought that I was going to go to Montverr and play for Coach Boyle down there.
So I was going to go down there and play for him.
My mom went down there and looked at the campus and everything.
But after my junior year, I went in one peace jam that summer.
Yeah.
And I ended up feeling like I didn't need to leave to go be a Middolls All-American
and be able to have, I mean, all the schools really want me
because I had all the offers at that point.
So I didn't really feel like I needed to leave to go get everything that I wanted.
You know what I'm saying?
I knew if I stayed here and it worked out the way it did,
that I would have a lot more love.
staying home so i mean i i think i made the right decision for sure man listen you're talking about
that piece and that squitty was crazy oh yeah sure that was that was that was an unbelievable time
now did you i rig that or was that was that organically as i said no that was that's that shit was
organic we took we took a lot of ills our 16 and you yeah when me and mike were 16 we played up
and played 17 and uh was getting our heads beat in a lot we played uh we played a few games i mean
We played Houston Hoos with Fox.
We played St. Louis Eagles with Jason Tatum when we were 16.
I think we lost that game, but we was always competing.
And we, even Georgia Stars won it that year with Windale Carter and Udoca as a bookey.
They were really good.
But then our 17 years just felt so easy.
But we were all the same age, and some guys were playing up at that point.
And so we just felt like we could win no matter who we play.
Okay.
I wanted to talk about high school who was here.
Yeah.
So when I first tapped in here, when we first got here, you know, I talked junk to everybody.
I talked to your little bro.
I talked to everybody.
And they told me, yo, junior year.
Y'all made it all the way to states.
Y'all made it all the way to state finals.
Y'all had a squad.
Y'all lost on the last second shot.
Like, can you go through that game?
Tell me what happened.
Because they told me you was averaging like around 23, 25.
Yeah.
Well, actually, I was averaging like 30.
Oh, my.
Hey, you man, I don't know which one's short.
Who's shorter?
Yeah.
No, that was my, that was my sophomore year.
That was my sophomore year.
I was averaging like 20.
I went from 10 points to 25 to like 35 to 45 to 42.
So, yeah, but that was, no, bro, like, my junior year, that shit hurt.
I ain't going to lie.
Like, that was probably my best chance to win State.
We had a, I mean, Lindy Waters, you may know who's in the other year now.
He's a shooter.
And the league, found his way into the league.
But went to Oklahoma State was really good.
I had gotten suspended that year and missed my.
most of the year and came back during the playoffs and we were winning all year and we got
the playoffs and literally was beating everybody pretty bad and the last game I mean we should
have won to be honest with you and uh um it's just crazy how it happened like a kid back door
got back door on my team for the last second and uh kid made a layup and I swear it was like
you can't you can't go back obviously he says you lost to a bunch of football yeah he said
It was all football players, bro.
Man, I trust me, bro.
We played them 10 times.
We went in 9.
You know what I'm saying?
It's one of them.
You know what I'm saying?
The team that, the championship game was the semifinals.
Like, everybody thought us versus team called Mustang,
who had won in state the year before.
It was us versus them in semis,
and we beat them by 30.
And we were so, I mean, we thought we had won it.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
The next day, like them games is back to back to back.
So you play the next day.
I mean, if you're not ready in lot of 10,
you can lose.
and that be your season
and that's how your junior can finish.
So it sucks, but it's, that's, that's something that those,
that's what sucks about the most is those guys hold on to it.
Like, it's, you know what I'm saying?
And you never go live in there.
No matter what you do it.
I was asking you that because, obviously,
you live here, from here, you're around,
you just went to a high school game.
I grew up in my hometown.
I would live there.
I coached there.
Like, and all my friends talk about them,
moments when we play north central or northwest and i'm like dang you locked the state finals yeah to
somebody who played football he probably when you walk in he probably like yeah but when i back
door i beat him in the state yeah he ain't shit i got him up out of here you know what's like a crazy
for no reason man what you're telling i ain't i ain't gonna say dude name because i don't want to you know
i'm saying i don't give him too much but yeah we was playing i had some runs like i had runs in
my my gym in here during the finals and uh one of the one of the guys that said
sitting here. I mean, I'm only calling certain guys to come up here. You got to be able to
hoop. So he could hoop. And we played him my second to last game, my senior year. And he had
a pretty good game. I mean, his team was way better than mine. I mean, I killed them. And I played
good. They ended up winning the game. And we ended up playing in here. We started talking.
And he started talking trash, one of my friends, right? And I don't like that. So we was playing
and he I ended up having to start talking a little bit and we started getting into and he
brought up how he had 35 and beat us in the game I'm like yeah I said I look at them
then and I said which year I said that year I want to get away playing the year or that
like you know what I'm saying it's like I didn't know which cherry pop your shit no
I mean that's it you know but like that's the same feeling like you know what I'm saying
Like, it's, you playing against the eyes that you grew up against,
if they win, they're going to hold on to it, you know what I'm saying?
Al-Buddy's a superbow, you'll never live it down, no matter what you're doing.
So they're going, they're going to hold on that forever.
Now, listen, you talk about going from 25 to 30 to 40.
When did you know you was nice?
Man, I don't even think like that.
You know what I'm saying?
I don't, you know what I don't say.
Like, I really, I don't really think like that.
Like, even when I'm getting games, like, I'll get like 35 and.
15 and stuff and I'll like I'll be in the moment in the game I won't feel it but like after the
game I'll be like damn like sometimes I pinch myself still like you don't some stuff I do in the
games that haven't been done before it's like it's like pinch me moments like I don't I don't like
get too excited or expected or like Trey oh Trey I love that humble shit no I'm doing
Trey no look now fuck that you know no
Well, you step in the garden
Yeah, all that
All that, all that hump and shit
That's okay
For sure
I thought you were talking about high school
I didn't know nothing about it
No, we just watched you on TV
Yeah
I was his teammate
Yeah
High school, Troy
No, that's
I mean you definitely got to
I mean I'll have fun with this shit
You know what I'm saying
You don't have fun with it
It's not
Ain't point in playing it
And I feel like that's when I play in my best
and when I'm having fun.
And I mean, as much as you see me talking trash,
it's just because I'm the one ending it.
Like, I really, I really would love to just hoop,
like, and just have fun and engage with the crowd.
And, you know what I'm saying?
Have fun and win.
But, like, you see me engage with players
it's because they usually are saying something
or they'll say something slick to the rest that I hear.
And I'm like, you know what I'm saying?
You don't get me going.
But you know what I'm saying?
You got to be competitive.
You can't make it to this level and not be competitive.
No, for sure.
I know we're going to go to college, but 42 points a game, bro.
Like, I thought I was killing, bro, my senior year in high school.
I average, it was about 25.
I was on a really good team.
42, bro.
Who was on your team?
Well, what would you say in to them?
I mean, set this screen.
You got to break down the plays.
Was it ISO trade?
No, I mean, it wasn't, it was a little bit of both.
Like, I was, I played in transition.
Like, I played fast.
So if I get the rebound, shit, I mean, I looked at it like this.
Like, I'm a senior.
I'm playing against the guys that are some freshman, junior, sophomores, like,
there's no reason they should be on the court with me, you know what I'm saying?
So anytime when I was a senior, it was like, I may not know what I'm going against,
but I know they're not at my level and they could be younger than me.
So it's like, this is the time for me to, like, go ahead and just do what I do in this pro on show.
Like, I'll get rebounds up, go coast to coast, get layups.
Like, I'm not worried about a big blocking my shot or maybe bigs, but I'm, I'm,
I'm smart enough to know to get into his body and use the glass.
Like, even at my senior year, like, I had good touch around the basket.
So it was never, like, never hard for me.
I didn't average 10 assists.
I probably averaged five or six assists.
But, I mean, I was still, I had the ball in my hand a lot, too, and that helps.
But, yeah, I was able, I just thought differently whenever it came to these type of things.
Was it just so easy for you, though?
Like, they didn't, do you?
I got a shot clock.
Nah.
Like, because in Indiana, they would have held the ball.
Oh, me, you would never got no 42.
But that's what I'm saying.
We was winning.
So, like, we would be winning games, like, we would be winning and you can't really
hold it.
I mean, unless you just.
Yeah, it's the point.
When you're down, you know what I'm saying?
I don't seen it.
I mean, I didn't see it, too.
Teams are just scared.
They can't outscore you.
They'll just hold the ball.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We need shot clocks in all high school basketball.
That's a fact.
Sure.
Yeah, sure.
My players better.
Obviously, you know you want to talk to Oklahoma.
Was there any chance to any other school,
who got you up out of here?
For sure.
Okay.
For sure.
I mean, I almost went to Kansas.
Mm.
If Devante would have left.
So the year I went to my freshman year, I was going in, Devante Graham was a senior
at Kansas.
John Te Graham.
But even my visits, my, like my junior and senior year, Coach Self was telling me that
Devonte and, so Frank Mason was a senior, so he was leaving.
But Devonte was going to leave with him.
And that's why I waited so long to, like, commit.
Because I really wanted to see if Devonte was going to leave.
And, because if you would have left, I probably, I probably would have went to Kansas.
Um, just because I wanted to be in the blue blood, kind of like going to Mont Verde and, you know what I'm saying?
Like, at a high school, I felt like if I would have went to Kansas or Kentucky, um, I mean, I just, I didn't, I wasn't ready to commit whenever Quad A was ready to commit to go to Kentucky.
So that's the reason why I didn't go there.
And, um, so yeah, I mean, Kentucky, Kansas.
man but I stayed home
I mean I
I thought about it hard
but I think I made the best decision for sure
yeah like
just
thinking of playing devil's advocate
let's say you went to Kentucky or Kansas
you think you would have the same success
that you had as a freshman
I would have
I feel like I would have been looked at the same
but my numbers made I have looked
the same you know what I'm saying
I think you could have did that at Kansas
I mean maybe
Maybe, I mean, who went to Kansas
that year?
I mean, it would have been me,
Devante, had the Gerald Vick, Svee.
The Gerald Vig.
Spie, McAulahoo.
Yeah, partner.
And then you dokeza-Buki.
He was still there.
Oh, yeah.
You would have been.
He would have.
He would have.
Number shooters on the perimeter, too?
Yeah.
I ain't going to lie, though.
I think it was perfect
before you go to Oklahoma.
It don't, it didn't, like,
it just makes sense.
That's good for you did in college.
For the journey.
For sure.
Your college, your friend.
freshman year is one of the top freshman years of all time.
Like Kevin Durant, Melo.
Melo number one because he won the chip.
Mm-hmm.
But like you, KD, B's, y'all all, A-D, y'all all right there.
Like, it's an unbelievable number.
And I think the thing that's, I mean, it's the difference between me and they just won.
You know what I'm saying?
They won.
You know, AD won a championship.
I think, uh...
You and B's, B, they were okay.
Yeah.
They had a cool record.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, I don't know who, I think national freshman players of the year,
I can't remember at the time.
I think two had done it before me was KD and who was the other guy.
Did he's got a freshman either?
No, no, but national player at the year.
Who won't an 07 then?
Because KD is my class.
Yeah, I don't know who was national player at a year.
I'm telling you, there's only been, there was only two.
Or maybe I would have been the second one behind KD to win.
to win freshman
I thought Bees won national football
But Beasley should have won it
He was crazy
He was crazy
Yeah
Numbers was insane
20 and 20 Denver
OD
Did you have that
Of course you had the green light
But did you think it was gonna be like that
When you got to Oklahoma
No
I mean I knew I would have
The ball in my hands
I knew I'd have
Like a certain green light
For sure being here in Norman
And Coach Kruger
Like our relationship we had
Yeah
But I mean you obviously have to like
You have to gain that trust
and gain that respect.
So, like, with the way I played, I mean, in practice and even in the games at the
beginning of the year, like, I mean, helped me kind of, like, establish how the rest of the
season was going to go, too.
Okay.
Because I was going to ask you when you got comfortable in college.
Crazy moments of college.
I had you, what's the crazy game?
You versus Oklahoma State or you versus TCU?
Because them is two high-life factory Troy Young games.
No, for sure.
I mean, I like, I probably like to play in TCU better.
I think I got the
And you see like even stuff like this
I mean playing TCU
I think I scored 82 points against them in two games
He's disrespectful
That's what solidifies your draft
I think that's
I think that's the most points
Somebody to score on somebody
Was Dee Bain there?
Yeah
Hey you're a dick here
He's out of walking
Shows a bro
He's from Indiana
Shouts a D.
He was the best player on that team though
Yeah he was
They had him and Jamie Fisher
I don't know if y'all know if y'all is jama fisher
my fault brother
that was a crazy strait my fault that's crazy that's like your easiest match
up in college who was your toughest matchup in college
that you remember you have a duel with somebody
I remember going in wichita state that was a tough game they played
they had uh Landry Shamit um Landry Shamit they had uh Austin
Reeves came off the bench who ended up coming to OU like the next year
um so they had they had a couple guys
They were number three in the country at the time, and so we went to their place and won,
and that was the craziest game probably, and that was tough.
Toughs game, probably.
So what's that moment, like, in college when you realized, all right, the league really
won't me?
Like, I know that got inches, but they're like, nah, I'm damn their lottery.
What's that moment like when you, like, damn, I could really go to the NBA, like, right now?
I mean, it's hard not to think about it.
You know what I'm saying?
It's hard not to think about the future and your dreams about to be becoming true
because you still got a season, you still got the rest of the B-12, and the NCAA terms.
and a long-term run to hopefully play.
So it was tough, but it was like,
it was kind of hard to, like, not look at it and not deal with.
I mean, I'm on a lot of, they were talking about it all the tone with ESPN.
Are you A-block first take with it?
Yeah, it was, it was crazy, but then you got, uh, no, I mean, it's, it was hard,
but like, I mean, I feel like I handled it the way I, the best way I could.
And, I mean, it was, it was, it was, it was good.
It was good.
Before y'all was teammates, what was your first time?
Like, like, really tapping in with Trey.
I've seen him in high school, obviously, because I'm my AAU head.
We all AAU heads here, so I knew him in high school, and I knew him of Michael Porter
Jr. I thought Michael Porter Jr. was the best player in that class at that time.
He was crazy, and then seeing him with Brandon Roy and all that.
So I kind of kept tabs on it.
And Jamal was one of my old heads, so he used to tell me about him.
But when I seen him at Oklahoma, I'm like, man, hold on, man.
How is this dude doing this?
I'm like, you know, on my head, I'm being a competitor now.
I'm like, why they don't do this?
Why don't trapping?
And I'm watching.
They're trying to trap him.
He's running by everybody.
Then he shoots from half court.
And I remember, I don't know what game it was, but you, like, stumbled.
And then you still shot the ball.
And I said, hold on.
He's playing differently.
Yeah.
Like, he's on real.
When he won't, and he's making them.
And I was like, he's going to be different.
And then when he got drafted by the Hawks, obviously, I was, I'm a Hawks.
That's me.
I'm like, damn, they got him.
I got to see what's up
and then you got to do
the summer league and I'm like yeah
it's a little different in the league
and then he got in his rookie year
I was like no he was just practicing
yeah yeah
he's a little different
I was like he different
and I was like yo he's just different
I appreciate it
yeah no shit I mean
that was that was crazy
what I'm talking about
me me and Jeff
oh yeah
no I can tell you so when I came to the team
like obviously now
he's he's a star like to me like after his rookie year he was great yeah yeah a great rookie year
second year I'm like yeah he's a star I get traded like in the middle of the year I think that
was your second year right and I'm like no chill chill chill you got that jersey still
chill chill chill chill you'll get you the real jersey I didn't ask it for a minute I know
a single-distance jersey it's on the way bro no so when I got to the team I watched them play and
I'm like, to me, the first thing that's the guy, I know he was a really good pastor.
But his floater, I'm like, he never missed floaters.
I'm like, everybody talks about him shooting from half court.
I'm watching it as a fan.
I'm like, this dude just never miss floaters.
Yeah.
So I'm like, damn, I can learn a little something from this dude.
So I'm looking out how he shoot him.
He's shooting him from half.
I'm like, okay, I'm about to start doing that.
But I didn't know I only had a 19 minute.
I didn't know I only had 19 minutes.
I could do all this shit.
Shout to LP.
So if I hit, I'm like, I'm about to do all this.
It's a night seat in it at that same light.
Care of Reddish, like, bring that over here.
But now, he was so dynamic in the picking road and his ability to score.
And obviously, you can shoot the ball from a crazy distance.
And I was like, nah, Atlanta got one.
Like, it's over with, they found their superstars since Dominique.
You know what I'm like, he here.
And I've been right, I guess.
Yeah.
Hey, this is Matt Jones.
I'm Drew Franklin.
And this is NFL Cover Zero.
We think NFL coverage should be informative and entertaining.
And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get.
We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different.
Did you see the Colts pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
Looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts takeaway.
They sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the Dr.
At the Colts Stadium.
Yeah, I might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.
I thought the shape we had with pretzels was working pretty well.
It's worked for generations.
We're just here trying to enjoy it.
We hope you all will join us throughout the year, and let's go.
I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll is at his age.
He's a young 73.
He is a young 73.
He is Sprott.
I wouldn't fight him.
I would.

Seems like you was comfortable right away, though.
Averaging the Doop.
I mean, your first year, was you comfortable right away or it took you a minute to get
adjusted?
I mean, I like to say it took me a minute to get adjusted.
No.
Stop, bro.
Look, look, I just say ESPN, but talk your shit.
All these things are sad.
I'm better than y'all.
I'm fucking with me.
Because I feel like, bro, why I'm saying that?
to you is I feel like I know I'm jumping ahead
but I feel like they'd be disrespecting you in the
They do, yeah, they do
No, for sure
I mean
But I mean, for sure
But I mean, for sure
But the only is why I say that
It's because if you, if you sit back and look at it
I always
What?
You average 20
I was 19, yeah
I haven't looked at it today
to make sure I was right before I said
I was 20 and some
I was 20 and 8
Yeah
Something like that
And then the next year Ivers 29 and 9
It was easy, bro
You know what I'm saying?
But like in my mind
I'm like, I should have been doing this shit
My rookie year
You know what I'm saying?
You were just trying to gaggle, man.
You came to a team with people on there.
For sure, for sure.
But that's what I'm saying.
I feel like that was the adjustment period.
Like, I felt like even though I did put up really good numbers as a rookie,
like I was, and I played good and I played well in spurts.
Like, I feel like I could have obviously done better.
Like, I mean, in my second year, I feel like I showed, like, what I could have done more.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, I haven't averaged 29 since, but like, it's like, I really, you know what I'm saying?
I feel like if I wanted to, like, I could.
You know what I'm saying?
That's just not like I just, and then that third year, we started getting, I mean, Gallo and bogey and all those guys.
So then we started getting some, my scoring went down.
But I mean, I feel like it took me a second to get adjusted.
Listen, we're going to go back to the draft stuff.
I want to talk about the first time, you're not showing, you know what I came in the locker room.
What was that like me and him for the first time, especially as a teammate?
Oh, man, it was, it was, it was fun.
It was dope because a lot of people and a lot of people are, you know,
I already knew about Jeff.
Like, Zach and, you know what I'm saying?
A lot of people in the Hawks organization
already knew about Jeff.
So, I mean, I did too.
The Hawks weren't, y'all weren't,
even when y'all were winning 60 games,
y'all weren't on TV a lot.
But, like, when you knew the Hawks, you know,
Al, Kyle Corver, you know what I'm saying?
Like, the four or five main guy.
So, I mean, you knew Jeff.
So I was, I was eager to, like, pick his brain.
I didn't know he'd be this funny
and this, like, chill, laid back.
You know what I'm saying?
and um but i think even the way he was like just i mean interacting it didn't have to be
serious all the time i mean to learn something from somebody so i mean even though he wasn't playing
as much like even if he like didn't mean to give somebody advice or give me advice like
it was like every now and then we'd be sitting on a plane he sat in front of me so i mean i was able
to pick his brain every now and then and talk to him so it's cool-ass cool-house vet for sure
Man, they were so young.
Like, he had to be 21 at most, 20, 21?
For sure, 21 most.
Yeah, and I was like 31, maybe 32.
Oh, gee.
And I'm like, I came in a locker room and obviously Travis was like,
we're going to sign you to an extension.
We want you to be the vet.
I'm like, hell not.
I'm like, I had made the playoffs my whole career.
So that was the first time I'm going to a team.
I never made the playoffs.
I'm like.
Nah, I'm going to play in the playoffs.
Like, but then I got in the locker, I'm like, they're cool.
Then E.T.
Just happened to be there.
Shout out of E.T.
Hey, E.T. rule my second Hawks experience.
He talked to me every day about, hey, you ain't going to like this.
He wouldn't even let me like so.
And I'm like, they're cool, bro.
He's like, mm-mm.
Yeah.
They ain't going to like this.
You ain't going to like that.
You're like, man, I'm a hawk guy.
He's like, nah, you ain't going to be a hog guy after this.
I'll tell you.
It's shots about dog, ET.
But, nah, when I first met him.
I knew I'm like, damn, if I can figure out how to be cool with him,
he's a franchise, right?
So you got to understand, I'm going to be cool with him,
and I'm going to make sure that I let him know I'm in this corner.
I don't want him to think I'm coming back and think, like, I'm somebody like,
nah, my time has been had.
I'm coming here to support you.
I'm going to try to be your backup.
I'm going to try to do what we can do and let's win.
So that was my biggest thing when I met him.
I just wanted to let him know.
I'm not hating.
I don't got a hate bone in my body.
If you're raw, I'm going to say, no, you cold.
If you're not, I'm going to be like, you're cool.
You're cool.
But if you're cold, you cold.
I'm going to say, I was like, he's cold.
And I ain't have a haying bone in my body.
We just didn't have enough time because COVID happened.
Yeah.
We was on the team when COVID happened, and we was on a team when Vince Carter got his last shot.
This last game, baby.
That's crazy.
Yeah, that's crazy.
That was your last game with us?
Yep.
I'm like, you know, I tried to call me here, too.
Nah, I was supposed to come back
So I was going to sign back
And then I was like
I love LP
I mean, he cool
I mean LP cool
So I was like
I can't do that
Like because he just
It wasn't him
It came from upper management
I'm like
Like Trey I could play with Trey
Because I seen him play with guards
I can play with him
They was like no we don't want that
Yeah
They want to play
They was like we want to play Cam
We want to play DeAndra
We want to play Kyle
Kevin and I'm like I can play with him sometimes like if I'm having a moment
yeah and he was like nah I was like all right I'm gonna try something different then
like y'all ain't go even y'all give me a chance people don't understand that about the league though
that's just like yeah you know what I'm saying when certain people above the players you know what I'm saying
they want to go to a certain direction and play young guys and then I think rondo might have came
so doe had came and I was like I went to the Celtics or whatever but though was having the same
type of feelings you was having you know what I'm saying so it's just it's part of it
bro I appreciate you though very day nah man you you you one of them that's why every
time we get on the show we always talk about yeah who don't get the most respect who
should be an all-star artist and I every time Trey young better than him
Trey young better than him and it's the truth why you think that is though bro
uh you can talk your shit on here at church
I think maybe that's why you know what I'm saying like I'm always just because your numbers
It's crazy, bro.
Yeah, every year, crazy.
Every year, it's an all-star number, bro.
Yeah.
I mean, I just think that's why I was like, I'm not super loud when it comes to,
I mean, you may think I'm loud in certain highlights and the way I talk sometimes,
but, like, when it comes to, like, boosting myself or something like that, like, I'm not, I'm not,
I'd rather let my game do the talking and let everybody else speak for me.
So, no matter if I'm gotten the credit that I, I mean, or not, like, I'm just going,
I'd rather just live that way.
And hopefully, I mean, it's going to turn and it's going to flip.
So that's my whole reason why I just, I stay the way I am.
Yeah, because they've tried to use every excuse.
Let's try to say small market.
No, that doesn't matter anymore because everybody's on TV.
And they talk about the numbers.
There's no way you can talk about the numbers.
Like we always said on show, we like numbers next to each other.
When we put them side by size up, shit gets spooky.
Even a smaller guards.
And I do it all the time.
Yeah.
I'd like put his trading numbers against his.
Yeah.
That's true
Every time
For me
I'm a Hawks fan
I'm a Hawks guy
He is bro
I am
I am
So I
He a Pacer fan
Yeah
I know y'all gas
You got Orlando
This year
He like
Oh yeah
Hey
Hey
I fuck with you
He got Orlando
I got to back
I got to back
He was
And Pablo
Take me to the crib
Pablo didn't
Give me a drink
Pablo
He took me on the field
See?
Yeah.
He probably never.
P5 never do that.
Nah, see.
No, I see.
I see.
I see.
I see.
I see.
I see.
Trait my hands off the court.
Magic and foe.
Nah.
Bullshit.
I'm playing.
I'm playing.
Nah, we got a bet.
Don't worry about that.
We got a bet.
Yeah.
The bet are you.
Yeah.
You had a bet too though.
I do?
No, you remember he was like, he said something about, like, the Pacers or whatever.
Yeah.
He ain't trying to bet that with you, this shit.
No.
Yeah.
We haven't auditions this year, you know what?
So we just see how we're going to retool for the next year, you know what I'm saying?
We're just chilling this year for sure.
No, but me and him definitely got a bit with Orlando.
I wanted to ask, like, where is this tension with you and the Knicks, man?
Where that come from, bro?
Because they put belts her ass, that's why.
Talk about it.
Yeah, no, it ain't even.
I mean, I guess it started from the playoff series and,
I mean, first quarter with 10 minutes and to go, like, the whole crowd
just started chen, like, F you.
You know what I'm saying?
What's that like, man?
Tell us about that.
They do it at wrestling events.
They do it at football events.
What is that like being the villain in New York?
And you beat them.
That makes it even better.
I mean, it's cool.
I mean, I don't really...
Thing is, I didn't grow up thinking I was going to ever be the villain of...
You know what I'm saying, in New York.
But, I mean, it is what it is.
Yes.
I mean, you just embrace it.
I mean, when I walk around the city, I get a lot of love.
So it's not like I feel scared to go around the city.
You know what I'm saying?
I feel like...
Even if I pulled up to Dykemen.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
There are recent people out there that show love, you know what I'm saying?
So they say all these things on camera.
But when they see me in person, it's a different way.
You know what I'm saying?
For the most part.
So I don't really have too hard of feelings towards their fans.
It's funny because you like play into it, though.
You can do WWE too.
Yeah, for sure.
Because he'll play into the-Role the dice.
He rolled a dice.
Every time my math, crap, I tell you,
Tray-U-U-D.
They scoop them up.
Seven, let me get that.
Out of the gate.
Side bed on now.
The line part about it, if you see the clip,
they pants and a fan to the fans after first day out.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
My favorite part is how Jalen came up and tapped me after.
Like, Jalen, like, it was a thing when Dejante was on a team.
We was, he had everybody.
We was all playing.
dice on the on the tables we were making side bets everything and it was like it was it was funny so
we uh i mean it was it was kind of like a thought in my head like so when i did it i mean i did it
i had thought about it before because i knew he was going to Vegas if we won so yeah yeah you know
you roll dice when you go there so that's hard bro and i liked how jalen came up because jalen was
always playing dice with us too so um uh i like that we got to death up after i did it too
that's right bob man let's go back to it man draft night obviously you
make the decision killing in college it's time to go to the pros what was your draft
process like and how was that whole situation like obviously we know with the big trade but how was
that for you um i mean it was i mean it was surprising to be honest with you like i thought i was
going to orlando at six um the whole the whole pre-draft process uh to be honest with you um
i worked out for like four four teams individually yeah and uh four privileged no no no yeah
I mean, you probably...
Nah, I got hurt, so I only worked out for two, one and a half, I guess.
Less to me, so...
But, nah.
Not because...
I would have had about 18.
Nah.
You'd have been on the road.
That would have been on the road.
But no, so I had like four.
And I think I went to Chicago.
I went to New York, actually.
I went to New York.
They had the ninth pick.
Fisdale was there.
Never thinking about maybe trading up.
So we got the Knicks.
I went there in Chicago.
And I worked out in Atlanta, but I didn't...
They had the number three pick, and I thought they were going to go with the big, like Marvin Bagley, if Luca went to Phoenix or something like that.
And, I mean, Luca didn't go to Phoenix, and then they ended up making the trade.
And I found out after the fourth pick that after Luca got called, my agent tapped me on my shoulder and said that you're going there, actually, and Luke was going to go in Dallas at 5.
So you're going to be called at 5.
So I was waiting the whole fourth pick, like, just looking up there, like, oh, shit, I'm about to be called.
like I knew it and I just it was a crazy feeling but I I was just thinking about going to
Atlanta the whole time like I didn't know what what it's going to be like I'm just I went there for
a second but I was excited because I knew I mean what type of the city like it was and like the way
the way I'm built the way I am like I knew I could like really relate with the city and and try
to bring something that I mean they've they've never done there so winning the championship so
that was that was something that I really wanted to do so I was excited about it most definitely
I mean they always not pitted y'all against each other but they always mention that when somebody's
name was brought up but then it was dope because you know what I'm saying of course y'all was
successful early on but you had the playoff success early like you had it first what was that feeling
like you know what I'm nice now I'm leading the franchise me now we're getting playoff wins
what was that first playoff series like for you oh man it was it was it was crazy feeling like
that was I mean I debuted my first signature shoe too like that series yeah
And I was playing in prototypes.
They didn't even make enough for me to play my own.
And I really wanted to play in my first shoot in the garden
in my first playoff series.
And so I was playing in prototypes the first two games.
And it was just an unreal feeling, man.
Like that first series was crazy.
And that's why you just want to continue.
That's that itch you get whenever you get there and you win one.
You win a series and you win two.
you get to the conference finals you're like
you got to get back to this
you know what I'm saying it's like you don't have that same
type of joy or excitement
at the end of the season unless you get there
further so I mean that's
that's where I'm at right now
oh you did make to the conference finals
thing
hmm hmm huh and then
who we played that year
yeah
who did they play
I think it's one team in Milwaukee
we got you on
I think I had a cool series too
that came out of retirement
yeah I did RJ I came out of retirement
I hit a couple of threes
Oh, since get back for training
Yeah
Try a train me
Yeah, you want to sign me back
Huh?
I think
You can talk
It's like that compound
Go what you said
I hit three
I hit three
Game six
I hit three
Game six I hit three
Yeah
He was mad
I pointed at you
What time
In that man
Two
Yeah
What time
Oh
What time I pointed at you
I was like
Arj that's for you
Nick
No, y'all, y'all definitely got us, bro.
Nah, but you think, because you tweaked your ankle or something that series, right?
Game three.
All right, be honest.
You think you're able to beat us if you ain't tweaked your ankle?
Yeah.
Nah, I was back.
I was back.
Was y'all guarding each other?
It was tea time again.
Yeah.
They kept their draws on this time, though.
Hey, come on.
John's on the Hawks.
No, no, no, because why the Hawks?
I don't talk about this.
What are y'all, Hawks, why y'all post that shit?
That was probably him.
He's sitting there.
He's sitting there.
So you have to see the trend there is teatob.
You know what I'm saying?
You wear the jersey with no draw.
And so somebody posted a picture of this is my fit for the day.
It was a jersey, some socks and shoes.
Yeah.
That's how people walking around their house, bro.
They just wrote fire.
It's fire.
I'm like, oh, they don't know what's going on.
They don't understand.
So whoever, whoever on the media team.
That's the fit.
You know, Lennon Hall's supposed to that, bro
You know what they're supposed to
No facts, bro
And the T Scots, no draws
See, like
They got clean
Hey, y'all got a clean-up,
Hawks
They can't do me like that
They say we have the team
game arena
I'm not your number one fan
Y'all can't do me like that
How has the city
embrace you though, bro
Like, as a whole
I feel like they really embrace me
Yeah
And I think
I remember talking to
I think Dominique
A few years ago
about it
Like just the way
I embrace the city
You know what I'm saying?
I think it's the same similar to how he did.
You know what I'm saying?
And it's like that's why they really mess with you
a certain, you know what I'm saying,
in a certain way.
So I definitely get a lot of love when I go,
go out in the city and go places around.
So I was really loving it.
Oh, okay.
Oh, obviously, you know what I'm saying?
Having the success.
What's that far as all-star now I feel like for you?
You know what I'm saying?
For a lot of players,
and that's a monument of moment for them,
you know, so you're recognized playing at that stage.
What was it like for you?
Man, it was unreal, bro.
It was unreal.
I got announced here in Oklahoma City.
Yeah.
Yeah, we played the thunder the next day, and I was able to be at my house and watch it with my mom and my family.
So it was like an unreal feeling when they announced it.
And then the game, it was the year Kobe passed.
So the teams were wearing two and 24, and that was the first Elam ending.
It was a fun game.
The only thing I hated about it was that I didn't get to finish the game.
And I was a starter.
But that was, you know what I'm saying?
That's part of it.
I guess being a young guy.
Me and Luca didn't get to finish the games.
But it was cool, though.
That was a fun experience, a fun, fun first time experience.
But I think I've had some more fun, fun experiences after that.
Most definitely, mind the moment of moments.
You know, it's crazy right now.
You're going viral again, man.
They say, you know what I'm saying?
You're the reason why BS Simmons is thinking about moving around, man.
They put the picture up on it.
They didn't pass up the lay up in the basket, bro.
Trey, y'all ain't know your defense was like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
First of all, this part is not about my boy.
No smoke when we put on Ben Simmons.
We love Ben Simmons, but his paint patrolling was on the Hall of Fame at that point.
Because I said, damn, Tray?
What the contest?
Okay.
Yeah.
Like, I'm about to fake block it.
And the picture looks crazy.
Like, I'm literally about the fake jump and block it.
The picture looks crazy.
And he's all about it, though.
Like, oh, shit.
You might block that.
No.
I was just going to.
He said it.
too. He said, I thought he was going to
foul me, which I probably would have just grabbed his
arm, and I was really probably about
to swing through and grab his arm
and make sure he didn't shoot free throws.
He should have windmilled on your ass.
You get to try in the post, what you're doing, maybe?
Nothing.
Trey green down there.
Hillmail RJ.
That's his man right there.
Yeah, RJ going in the blender, for sure.
Yeah, trade too little.
No, we're not going.
That's why they talk bad about being like that.
Just straight down there.
You ain't the first person to say something.
When he's 165, what you're going to do, be here?
See, but he, 160, what are you going to be here?
I got him by a hundred.
He can't do that with me.
He don't feel bad trying.
He told Kevin Garde at him post him up.
Hey, Kevin Gordet got shitty.
Bro, he starts sweating.
I told Kevin Rall, I'll bust your ass.
I was looking at him.
I was like, boy, you almost made me forget where I was.
He was really mad.
I was like, bro, he's just playing, bro.
I'm not playing, though.
Roger, I really bust your ass.
The real BTS for show.
No, you need that for the game for shows.
Especially my man.
Hey, what's your name?
Say one more.
Chase, his jumper so fucking terrible.
Chase
See, Chase
Shut the fuck up
We gotta get Chase to
Jay
Listen, Chase got to go back
to the lab
bro
Yeah, he got
The early release
We gotta get the shot
We gotta get the rock
My boy Chase
We got to get him back
To live
Good dude
I'll rock with you
Good people
Hey, you got a good team
bro, great people
Mike Lippoor
That's my god
I'm going for
Good people
Come on
But Chase
You got to work
That thing
Who everybody was wondering
About there
That's crazy, bro.
Shout to the gay for show.
Hey, man, what's it like being the GM, man of your armamenter, man?
It's crazy.
It's dope.
I mean, y'all, um, you all, um, you all seen, like, a little bit of Norman.
Like, I mean, I grew up here and went to elementary, middle school, high school, now in college, and I get to be the GM here and get to call these kids and kind of promote the school, promote the city, help them with, I mean, feel comfortable with they end up deciding to come to my school.
Like, it's, that's an unreal feeling, and I feel like it's something that I can take advantage of.
And I told the coaches and everybody that helped me do this, like, I didn't get a chance to win a championship in college more than once.
So this is my really opportunity to get me a ring in college.
So we're going to go get some players to help us do that.
I got some Nat boys on there.
Shout to young, shout to Tite.
Yeah, tapped in, the N-1-7 lineage yourself.
You can treat my boys right, man, why they out here in no one.
Oh, man.
He treated them anything how they treat us, bro.
They're living in heaven.
They're getting treated, right?
Could you see yourself even, like, coaching or, you know, in somebody's office after you're done playing?
Um, coaching, no.
Coaching, no, I'm cool.
They made me sound.
I'm cool.
I'm cool.
I'm cool.
I just, yeah, just being, being an NBA and understanding the business and, I mean, it's coaching business.
Like, there's coaches of the years that, I mean, get fired.
And, you know what I'm saying?
and the coaches don't have as much juice as you may think,
you know what I'm saying, when it comes to the team
and who they're coaching and who's coming to the team.
And, you know what I'm saying?
It's just a lot of pros being the coach, obviously.
Right.
I mean, I think there's a lot more cons, to be honest with you.
Understood.
Man, but, you know what I'm saying?
A.U.
Obviously, you went crazy at you.
You and BG, got the Squitty.
What's going on?
What are we doing?
Hey, man, we got a squad, man.
We got a, we got a squad.
We just, this is our first year with the YBL, so.
Yeah.
I mean, we got, we're going to win a PCM championship here too in the new year.
What's the age group you got?
I got it all the way from, what, 12, 12 U to 17s.
Oh, okay.
You got a full program.
So a little bro on that 10.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, I remember, look, I got a little story about a little bro.
I'm a little bit of a little jit.
He was running around shooting on the court.
Get your little ass out of my shooting.
It was shoot.
I'm out there shooting.
He ran on the court.
I only get five minutes
a game.
Look at him.
Now I see him
taller than me.
He's six, too.
Yeah.
I'm excited to see
what he's going to do with his.
You know what I mean?
He went to the game today.
Oh.
And he was looking in that crowd.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He said, it's looking for him.
No, what I told his ass.
He said, looking special.
Well, get your ass in that portal.
The bullshit.
What?
You know what?
He said, it's looking special over here.
Yeah.
Nah, I'm excited to see his journey, though.
I'm going to be watching for sure.
Appreciate that.
And it's crazy.
because I think you might have just missed this window,
but imagine what you would have did with the NIL,
especially with all the success you had in a hospital.
It looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts take away.
They sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.
I thought the shape we had with pretzels was working pretty well.
It's worked for generations.
We're just here trying to enjoy it.
We hope you all will join us throughout the year.
And let's go.
I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll is at his age.
He's a young 73.
He is a young 73.
He is Sprott.
I wouldn't fight him.
I would.

This is a tape recorded statement.
The person being interviewed is Krista Gail and Pike.
This is in regards to the death of a Colleen slimmer.
She started going off on me, and I hit her.
I just hit her and hit her and hit her and hit her.
On a cold January day in 1995,
18-year-old Krista Pike killed 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in the woods of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Since her conviction, Krista has been sitting on death row.
The state has asked for an execution date for Krista.
We let people languish in prison for decades, raising questions about who we consider fundamentally unrestorable.
How does someone prove that they deserve to live?
We are starting the recording now.
Please state your first and last name.

Oh, man.
How much would it cost okay?
Man.
Comma with a comma.
Shit after that first year.
Yeah. No, I mean, that's what I'm saying.
I mean, no, I wouldn't
like, that's the thing. If I would have played the way I did
my freshman year, there ain't no reason to stay for no
NIL.
This NBA.
NBA money is different than the NIR.
That's why I try to tell these kids,
like, there's no reason to, like,
if you really feel like you get out a chance
to make it to the NBA,
it's like, it's no reason to be your mindset
to be chasing this NIL back.
You know what I'm saying?
It should be, let's get to the best place
that I can be to help get to the next level.
You know what I'm saying?
If they give me a lot of money,
that's cool, if they don't.
You know what I understand,
what my mission is.
It ain't about the money.
So some of these kids are going to ruin their careers
just by chasing this,
this college bag
you know what I'm glad you said that man
I mean it's a lot of money of course
for sure but it's not
you know what I'm saying generational
you know what I'm saying where you can
like NBA like what we're able to do
if you play it the right way so
I'm a love that you said that because a lot of kids
are making decisions to go to a school
where they might not even play necessarily
the game that they want to play
they might go to somewhere
they are picking role player
and they run a personal offense
but they gave them a home
300,000 or whatever, man
You got to go where it's best for you
Where you can play
Because the goal is to get to the next level
Or even if you're not going to make it to the NBA
The goal is to play so well
That they have to pay you
$2 million in state there
You know what I mean?
If an NBA might not be for every
I mean obviously everybody's not going to make
To the NBA everybody's not that special
But you want to play at a high level
You go get a million dollars
The first year
And you don't play that much
And you don't play well
You're not getting a million dollars
Second year
That's a fact
Yeah
That's a fact
I think it kills the kids' confidence
Do you think it fucks up there
Like work ethic too though
Yeah
That's what I think it kills the most
You know what I'm saying
Like the kids
Especially the kids
The highly ready kids
Like there was kids that were higher rated than me
I think I was finished like 24th
Or 26
I mean I was probably like the second guy
Drafted out of my class
You know what I'm saying
So
That's crazy
That's after one year
Third guy
So it's like
It's what I'm saying
It's like
I can only imagine
if I had NIL deals now you know what I'm saying or even back then like it would have been
kind of the same same kind of thing so yeah I love a guys can can lose track of focus too by this
short-term money so yeah yeah that's a fine man what's it like being on Jordan brand man
everybody grew up and I'm saying want to be the man one of the worded kicks now you they
tapped in what's that feeling like man it's something real man I like them shoes just got on right
It's so...
Well, shit, if you like, it's sign us.
To say goodbye.
What?
What is that episode coming out?
No.
Check your calendar.
You can try.
It can flip.
It's switch.
Really quick.
Yeah.
But so, no, for sure.
I signed a Tray Young Enterprise.
Shout to the L.C.
Yeah.
K.O.2.
LePory, you're the signed up, man.
Let, Tray Young tell his Jordan.
No.
No, I mean, Jordan's cool, man.
I've really enjoyed my, my,
my time this year
I was like one year
with him
so I got this year
with him
and then I'm a free agent
next summer
so
it's true free agent
so it's gonna be
it's gonna be
fun
I mean I've loved it
since I've been over there
I mean
I can see myself
having a long future
with him for sure
they pull over the big truck
empty the clip
not the first time
we're gonna see about the second time
oh okay
gonna spend the block
Hey, man, listen, we pull it up here, man.
Crazy weekend you got going on.
We put up to the pickleball tournament.
Oh, yeah.
We ain't going to talk about the beat here
and the Freaky Mike one of the ones.
Well, yeah, the shit we are.
It's my podcast.
Yes, sir.
We're talking about it now.
We ain't going to talk about it.
I mean, I beat Freaky Mike on the, was that on Oklahoma
University's campus?
Yeah.
We played by the tennis rules, and I won.
Three to one.
You know what I mean?
Quick game.
I did sweat.
And my, you know what I mean?
My visas.
Shorts.
My baby the names.
You went Gizi on them.
Yeah, I went Gisi on them.
Respect.
Yeah.
And I didn't warm up.
I was fresh off a four-piece tender and two loaves of bread.
Chowns to raise the chains.
You know that's your favorite too.
Yeah, that's what she is.
They can.
Not that cane.
Not that cane.
Other can.
Double them.
Wow.
No, you got a beautiful event going on, bro.
Can you speak on your foundation and, you know, the event you put on for the weekend?
Yeah, no, this is my second year doing this, like, podcast weekend.
But this is our first year doing the pickleball on Friday.
Yeah.
And so that was, this was fun.
I mean, we was able to do it today.
And I was excited that y'all pulled up.
I appreciate it.
And I saw you and Mike going at it over there.
Yeah, that shit liked.
Hey, both, this was great.
That shit liked.
Look.
But, no, it was fire, man.
I mean, it's going to be a crazy weekend.
I mean, this is just the beginning.
I mean, tomorrow I got game day.
And then we got, I mean, I'm playing with the guys, the players after that.
So, I mean, and then we got the game.
So we got a lot going on this weekend.
So it's fire, man.
And it's all going to my foundation, too.
So that's the best part.
Definitely tap in with the foundation for sure.
Also, pickleball team GM as well, you know what I'm saying?
Mm-hmm.
What's going on?
Be here you're trying to sign, man.
They got squad in Atlanta.
I ain't in shape for that.
We can get you a 10 day.
Nah, my knees ain't right.
Guess what the team called?
What?
Take a guess.
What?
What's trying to tell me?
It might track the name.
Might have tracked me.
And then it bouncers.
Hey, dick, I'm sorry.
We're going to go down 3 a.
Pickle ball.
We're going to rent something now.
I can't work to see a jersey.
I'm sorry
you
There's why these dudes back
working again
Boy, y'all silly
Tray, why all the hell with you
Dave?
The Atlanta bouncer is crazy
Hey, I'm just the owner, man
I'm just the owner.
It makes sense, though.
No, it's pickleball, you know what I'm saying?
No, it's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
Not that.
What do you mean?
I mean by like, it's a lot of clubs in Atlanta.
It's a whole bunch of bouncers.
Yeah, okay.
So, like, that's how I took it.
I'll be, I see the math.
Let's get back on the positive.
We talk about Atlanta when you go to the strip club and then you got to pick up the.
Oh, yeah, the one pick up the ones.
The dude that scrape up the one.
Respect.
Yeah.
We still got the name of that job, yeah.
Let's keep the clay.
Oh, my fault.
I forgot.
Tren, can you tell us how you started the, you know, the young?
family
athletic center
it's a great transition
yes sir
I want to go positive
we're talking about the balsas
yeah no my
my young family athletic center
yeah it was
I mean it's kind of like
another YMCA version
like yeah
I mean I grew up going to the YMCA
every day
every day playing pickup with guys
after school
in the morning before school
going to work out.
So it's kind of like another version of that.
Like it's, I mean, I think, eight courts.
I mean, it actually has a hospital connected to it.
So we have, so the kid basically breaks his leg.
He can go right there and not even getting a car and drive away.
So we have people come in there and get rehab and use it for other things other than basketball.
But we have basketball courts, we use it for volleyball, pickleball.
We have a whole bunch of other events that go on in the.
the facility. So I think it's
we're putting into great use for sure
and it's something that, I mean, I'm happy we got
to do. Yeah, that's one thing I feel like
that people really miss so much, especially with the younger
generation. Like, we all grew up playing basketball. It didn't matter
what love you played, but she was always in the gym.
But the gym was a safe place to keep people away
from doing other stuff, away from stuff. For sure, home,
be shaky. It was the safe haven't.
Kids only go outside play basketball anymore.
Now, it's like, for you to have something that people can just
go and just be themselves or be kids or just enjoy this stuff,
that's dope, man. We definitely lack that a lot nowadays.
No, for sure.
And, I mean, I think that's why it's important, like, that, I mean, guys continue to push, like, playing fives.
Like, especially if you want to play.
I mean, and just being active, like, that's kind of what it is for, too.
And I think we have an after-school program that, I mean, if not it's already there, I mean, I know that's something I wanted to do, and we're going to put that in.
So, I mean, I think that's important for kids to have somewhere.
I use an after-school program at my middle school, like, when my parents are working, you got to have places to go.
So I think that's a big reason why we're using it too.
Nah, that's dope, bro.
And I ain't a lot, man, just being out about with y'all and the team all day to see the impact in your city.
Even with him, I always give him praise because he coaches our alma mater high school.
It's just like the impact.
Just being around, change a lot of people lives, man.
So salute to you, salute to the team, the foundation, everything y'all doing.
The community definitely rocking the trial.
And that's dope to see because a lot of people, you know what I'm saying?
They get it and they run away.
But you stuck it out here and you make the lives around the city better, man.
So salute to you again to the team, man, for sure.
And that got to be dope to see it.
see your last name on a bill like that you know what i mean that that's fire man
for sure it's the blessing bro i want to talk about the music side okay i see you in the booth
with my boy man oh see him in the booth with with with quavo now train what made you get in the
booth now is this something we just doing as a hobby or we you know is it a mixtape all the way
yeah we got uh we got something uh with that song that me and him made we uh we were doing
something with another brand and stuff.
We were kind of switching lives.
We switched lives, so I got to go in the booth for him,
and then he came on the court with me.
But that song that we made, I ain't going to...
It's horrible, bro.
I ain't going to...
I ain't going to tell you.
I got a...
We got a feature on it, too.
And I got one of my other bros.
I'm making my debut, yeah.
I got one of my other bros.
That's what I got a first?
Yeah, I'm probably.
He's a show about that.
said they was going to go for the, you know,
the other Atlanta point guard.
Yeah.
No, but I got, so we're going to,
we're talking about going to drop it right before
a training camp, so.
That's hard, bro.
So we got a surprise.
You're nervous about it?
What, the song?
Yeah, like.
No, I mean, I, I, I didn't do nothing much but the ad libs
and stuff, so, I mean, I, my.
It's hard.
It's fire.
I ain't going to lie.
I don't know anything.
It's raw.
But you hear the, the feature we got with the guy we got,
like, you're going to be like, oh, shit.
Okay, stay tuned.
Hold on, like, give us some context, though.
Is it Atlanta artists?
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
It's all Atlanta.
It's Atlanta.
I think it's changed, bro.
Because it can't be these other motherfuckers.
Too part.
Like I said, they got like going on.
Yeah, everybody working there.
It's true.
It's true.
Because he's going to see.
He got the, he part owner of the Skyhawk.
Scott.
Okay.
I see, he doing the bad.
I see what's going on.
So I'm going to come in.
on a you got the hook
no
he'll or ad libid
I'm ad libid
He's doing an adlet
And it's cool
It's smooth too
It's actually smooth
I got the hook
Can Quavo really hook
bro?
Yeah he can hook
Not
Not to like
I'm a notch
My level
Yeah
I'm saying that he
He's solid though
All right
Quavo
Arj
Hey bro
Nah
I'm gonna go RJ
He got RJ
He thought about
a little bit
I didn't think about it.
No, I'm going to RJ.
RJ can hoop better for sure.
RJ can definitely hoop better.
Man, speaking of hoop, listen, we got to get back to it.
New season on the way, man, y'all don't have a hell of our off season.
What's going on?
For sure.
He'd be gas and he got high hopes for y'all.
How you feel, man?
Number one fan.
Man, I feel, I feel great.
I can't lie to you.
I mean, if we're healthy, I mean, it's going to be scary.
I mean, for me, I'm not one to really want to talk about it right now.
I got you.
I'm a guy that's one to let.
the play dude
talking
and I know if we
healthy
all that's going
to speak for itself
so
I got a great team
no I'm not
I'm not worried
the only thing
is that can stop us
in my mind
is health
yeah
so we got a lot
of talented players
and a lot of guys
that are playing
for something too
so
yeah
that'll push guys
to go even harder
so
when you got guys
playing for something
I mean
that's scary
and so
we have health
on her side
we got a chance
I got Jalen
being an all-star
this year.
I do too.
I think I can speak on the team too much, but yeah, I see him taking the big league.
Bro, put me on to him last year.
Like, he's really a special player for real, bro.
Yeah.
Before he got hurt, we was top five in the east.
You know what I'm saying?
Speak about it.
Speak about it.
A lot of people to understand that.
Things have been different.
You may look at us the way we ended the season and all that.
But, I mean, Jalen, this 45 plus game, you know what I'm saying?
And that's, he was on an all-star level last year.
I mean, on that track, you know what I'm saying?
For sure.
To having his first all-star.
So I believe if he's healthy, he's going to have his first all-star
All-Star this year and we'll have a winning season and everything will be good.
So I'm excited.
I predict all-N-A for you this year.
Yeah.
All-Star now, obviously, but I predict all NBA.
First, second thing, for sure.
I think you're going to have a great year.
Yeah.
I've been telling everybody with the acquisitions y'all got, Nikil for Zengis,
I just think it's our time.
For sure.
And the east is wide open.
Yeah.
It is.
This week out there, this is definitely wide open.
You're going to be here.
You got a chance.
You're still switching up on the magic?
Look, trade my guy.
I'm going to trade off the court behind me.
With Pablo pulled up.
I'm in my badger's jersey.
Now he called him Pablo.
You know his name is Pablo.
You know the name is Paul.
All you know, he's a cross-moly joke.
Don't be stupid about it.
No, I'm rolling with the hogs.
Now, I hope, look, look, bro.
I hope you killed this.
I hope you average 40.
Which I got role with my guy
I got to roll with my gosh
He'd been P5
For a long time
No that's why I came on the show too
Because I understand
Everybody got their own
You know what I'm saying
Flavors
But y'all y'all y'all always shown love
Even both of y'all
You know what I'm saying
I know y'all got those teams
So I know y'all show love but
No you definitely one of my favorite players
I just
Like he'd be putting me on to a lot of shit
But I didn't know you was that overlooked
Until I really start paying attention
Because I'm just a fan at the game
But I don't only be caring about all the politics
But I see you get overlooked
the line else like that way too much bro but just just just just know when we when we take care of business
I'm just to hit you talk oh yeah that's fine are you got to hey are you got to do it hey
are you got to do it we don't know what's going on okay we're gonna have 35 and christina
gonna be here just please when y'all come to indiana we come into the game don't worry about
that yeah just please go for like 50 okay and I just I want DJ I'm gonna do everything my
her i'm gonna weigh my hand i'm gonna do er we're getting on a big board yeah say less i got to see
