Starting point is 00:04:02 Appreciate you pulling up the 520, Nasty. Appreciate y'all having me. For sure, for sure. We always start the episode off with a bullshit question. We got to guess. What was the craziest locker room or team you was on? You know what I'm saying? You've been around different places.
Starting point is 00:04:15 What was the craziest or like the most tense locker room you had to play in? Most tense locker room? Like because of the team? Yeah. Or it could just have been lit. It ain't got to be bad. It could have been real good man
Starting point is 00:04:25 you know what the Milwaukee teams when we was ready when we was that bubble year ah yeah shout out to the bubble that's when we was doing
Starting point is 00:04:33 all that WWE shit and all that stuff yeah that was we was active that's crazy Milwaukee was what's up for you
Starting point is 00:04:42 I had a little stint in Milwaukee snuck out of there with a championship yeah you a champ a little stint in Milwaukee. Snuck out of there with a championship. Yeah, you a champ, bro. Yeah, I don't know how I snuck out of there with that one.
Starting point is 00:04:50 They said you was a local rapper living in the studio. Oh, God, bro. You said nigga Rich ain't supposed to live in the studio. I lived in a studio, man.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I lived in a place just like this. It was just a bed and a... I don't even think I had a refrigerator. I think I did have a mini fridge. this It was just a bed And a I don't even think I had a refrigerator I think I did I had a mini fridge
Starting point is 00:05:07 Damn I didn't care I was thugging But Nah Milwaukee's a cool They got some cool guys On their team They been around for a while
Starting point is 00:05:15 Y'all is a cool dudes Brother They hilarious But you got a chance To be with Rolo Yeah Him and Brooke They
Starting point is 00:05:23 They comedians But Brooke is I ain't get a chance To play with Rolo That's crazy That they both twins And they really that Fucking big Rollo. Yeah. He a fool. Him and Brooke, they comedians, bro. But Brooke is. I ain't get a chance to play with Rollo. That's crazy that they both twins and they really that fucking big. And they read comic books.
Starting point is 00:05:32 And write them. Yeah. Read them and write them. I said, this can't be real when I seen Brooke. You are 38 years old, bro. Why are you reading Superman?
Starting point is 00:05:42 It's like, what? Nah, but shout out to them. Niggas better be nicer to Brooke that nigga is taller than the motherfucker boy they got switches
Starting point is 00:05:49 damn they got switches bro you see I see Brooke he gonna protect his that's I love Brooke and Rollo yeah I've been seeing
Starting point is 00:05:59 the past games niggas ain't trying everybody else been look niggas walk away from Brooke Lopez respect alright man we gonna take it back you know what I'm saying basketball you know what I'm saying Marquette legend games. Niggas ain't trying. Everybody else, look, niggas walk away from Rick Lopez. Respect. Hey, man, we're going to take
Starting point is 00:06:05 it back then, you know what I'm saying? Basketball, you know what I'm saying? Marquette, legend. How did you decide to play at Marquette? I know you had a couple different offers, you know what I'm saying? Man, actually, it was crazy because I'm from Madison. So, like, all you know is Badgers. That's it. So,
Starting point is 00:06:21 I'm in the state, in the city. Grew up between Madison and Milwaukee and had no idea Marquette was even there. Damn. That's how Badger State it is. So I didn't really start hearing about Marquette until D-Wade took them to the final four. D-Wade, Travis Diener, Novak, all those guys. Elite. So that's when Marquette started becoming national.
Starting point is 00:06:44 My mom was like yo you gotta start paying attention to this so i started watching them a little bit and then the letters started coming and the recruiters started coming and honestly uh it was who i was going to come in to marquette with is what got me there you know you know crereen did a great job of recruiting myself, Jarrell McNeil out of Chicago and Dominique James, who I know y'all know. Yeah, Indiana. He's, he like had us all tap in with each other at an early stage of the recruiting process. So like I would keep up with Neek's games and Neek would keep up with Rail's games. Rail's looking at my games and, you know, Kreen calling and saying, hey, Dominique just had 41, 8, and 7.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Knowing that I got a game the next night. You know, what am I going to do? Yeah. You know, that kind of stuff. So, like,
Starting point is 00:07:32 it was that, the thought of competition that got me to Marquette. Hey, man, Kreen, say what you want. I've always been a hell of a recruiter, though. Because even in them IU days,
Starting point is 00:07:42 You had them rolling. Nah, for real, for real. Like, you saw Victor Oedipo over there. Yeah. And put some squads together at IU. a recruiter though because even in them IU days he had them rolling. Nah, for real, for real. Like he saw Victor Oedipo over there and put some squads together at IU but man, that's crazy. Dominique, hey,
Starting point is 00:07:51 you know what I'm saying? You grew up playing against Dominique in open runs? Yeah, I did. I think he was all Big East when I was in high school and he came back.
Starting point is 00:08:01 No, I was in college. I was a freshman after my freshman year in college. He came back to play and my high school coach. I was a freshman, after my freshman year in college. He came back to play. And my high school coach was his uncle, cousin, one of them.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And he came back to play at my high school. So, you know, everybody's like, y'all going to match up. And he's like, he's going to bust your ass. He's going to get on your ass today. So I'm coming.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I come a little late. I'm stretching. So I walk on the court. My little brother in eighth grade, my brother Marcus, and he out there frying, cooking Dominique. I love Dominique. His mom good people, too.
Starting point is 00:08:28 But he was frying him, talking about cooking him. And I'm like, oh, shit. So he come to me after the game was like, your brother ready for the league. I was like, eighth grade. He looked at me. He was like, what? You don't go to weight? I was like, no, the guy go to weight. He was like, oh, damn. He looked at me, he was like, what? You don't go to weight? I was like, no, the guy go to weight.
Starting point is 00:08:46 He was like, oh, damn. He thought it was you? Oh, damn. The rest of the time, I was like, oh, yeah, I'm about to cook this. You think my brother good? Oh, it's just weight. No, but that's my guy, man. He good people.
Starting point is 00:08:58 No, don't. He was cold, especially when he had a pro ass popping in the city to see him back come in. Yeah, he used to give niggas work, man. So athletic. That was, that was the thing where it's like, that jumped out
Starting point is 00:09:09 when I saw him first. You know, he literally shit, you know, but built this all, this muscle and, but take off.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Touch the sky. He made plays. He made, he made some plays. That had a hell of a bad court. That front, that three guard. Something like them. The only people that I ever seen play three guards court that front that three guard something like that the only people
Starting point is 00:09:26 that I ever seen play three guards like that was Villanova with Alan Ray now so the fact that Kareem like how did y'all like did y'all say alright nigga
Starting point is 00:09:34 this your night or did y'all just go off the feel of the game man honestly like that's funny that you said that because that's so our freshman year
Starting point is 00:09:41 he took us to the garden for media day we were the only freshman to do it so it was me Rail Neek and he brought Novak as well
Starting point is 00:09:49 and so we at the Media Day and Alan Ray we see Nova oh shit damn man cause you know how
Starting point is 00:09:56 all the teams all the teams they there and they send whoever to represent so he intentionally had us go there to see
Starting point is 00:10:04 like cause it was Alan Ray Randy Foy Curtis Sumter Mike Nardi and then whoever to represent. So he intentionally had us go there to see like, because it was Alan Ray, Randy Foy, Curtis Sumter, Mike Nardi, and then Lowry. So that's who we wanted
Starting point is 00:10:12 us to see. Man, I'll tell you, when we played them, they whooped our ass. We wasn't ready. We tried. Nah, niggas don't know
Starting point is 00:10:23 how good Alan Ray was. Bro, that was... Or randy for you randy he was like the player of the year he was nice like he was like i think he might have been the biggest player of the year that year okay it was nasty man i remember that was my 506 year right yeah that was my matchup and that was like you can you know how you can pinpoint like moments in your life your career like okay this is a learnings tool right now. Like,
Starting point is 00:10:46 I can either, it's sink or swim time now. Like, cause this motherfucker just put his shoulder in my chest and I couldn't do a damn thing about it.
Starting point is 00:10:53 You know? I ain't gonna lie, bro, I kept that vendetta all through the league. Whenever I started ready for it, the league too.
Starting point is 00:11:00 What? He ain't never know that. Y'all think he's the old grinch that you got to? Hey, I love Brady though. He ain't never know that. I love Randy though. I love Randy though. He ain't never know that.
Starting point is 00:11:08 But I swear, I'm like, I don't like the way you did that. You were Reggie Jackson, bro. You were Reggie Jackson. That's how I feel about Reggie Jackson, bro. I don't like that you did that. Hey man, it wasn't no bitch.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Your boy Ruby, he peacing it up. Everybody kept tagging us. I was like, damn Jeff, get him on a pod. Oh, he retired. Yeah, he stepped down. Shout out to him, man. Jeff, get him on a pie. Oh, he retired. Yeah, he said he stepped down.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Shout out to him, man. Good luck to him. Oh, yeah. Yeah, shout out to him. Great career. I know a lot of cops, and they get asked all the time, have you ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes.
Starting point is 00:11:41 But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no. Across the country, cops called this taser the revolution. But not everyone was convinced it was that simple. Cops believed everything that taser told them. It's just a compassionate choice to allow players all reasonable means to care for themselves. Music stars Marcus King, John Osborne from Brothers Osborne. We have this misunderstanding
Starting point is 00:13:06 of what this quote-unquote drug thing is. Benny the Butcher. Brent Smith from Shinedown. We got B-Real from Cypress Hill. NHL enforcer Riley Cote. Marine Corvette. MMA fighter Liz Caramouch.

Starting point is 00:14:53 or wherever you get your podcasts. Who was your toughest matchup? Me? At Marquette. At Marquette? Outside, I know the four experiences. Yeah, right. Man, I mean, every night, though.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Big East was real, dude. That was real Big East. That UConn was Rudy Gay. Oh, shit, you did play Big East. That was Hilton Armstrong and all them. Big Hilton. Fucking Hilton Armstrong. Cincinnati had Eric Hicks, Devin Downey, James White, dude, jumping from the free throw line and all them. Big Hill. Fucking Hill and Armstrong. Cincinnati had Eric Hicks, Devin Downey,
Starting point is 00:15:25 James White, dude, jumping from the free throw line and all that. Knuckles wasn't there yet, was he? He played against Marcus Williams. Knuckles was there,
Starting point is 00:15:32 wasn't he? Marcus Williams was there. He played Devante, who else? What the fuck is Knuckles' name? Devante Vaughn. Yeah, Devante Vaughn.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I'm tripping on a big team, man. We already talked about Nova. Syracuse had Dievendorf and all them. Paul Harris. Paul Harris. Louisville.
Starting point is 00:15:54 We saw Taekwondo. Francisco. Garcia. Shots of Sosa. Don't say Edgar Sosa on this podcast. Nah, I'm fucking with Edgar. Louisville was probably
Starting point is 00:16:05 the weakest team in the Big East should we have Earl Clark then Earl Clark they had T. Will free T. Will nah that was hard
Starting point is 00:16:13 I'm hating I'm hating damn Paul if y'all did play it might have been Georgetown it might have been Georgetown
Starting point is 00:16:18 Jeff Green I was gonna say Jeff Green Big East was nasty Jeff Green Roy Hibbert damn I forgot they was there at the same time.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Did you have a guard Jeff in that game? DeJuan Blair. Yeah, that's my man. That's Pitt. Pitt was nasty. No kneecaps. DeJuan, that note, Sam Young. Sam.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Ooh. Ugly shot, fake in the league, but that shit was a fake. Jumping for it, though. Sam Young, Sam. I do remember him. He was a pacer at one point, unfortunately. Sam Young. That was Wayne, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:43 I seen Sam Young in a draft workout. Shout out to Uncle Jeff. Cook. Niggas, bro. I'm talking about we had a draft workout. It was my first draft workout. They had us work out first
Starting point is 00:16:52 and he came the next one. You know, you just sit there and watch. Yeah. I swear to God, he had to score 17 times first. Sam Young? Yeah, I was like,
Starting point is 00:17:00 he was like that, dog. Man, who is this nigga? I thought that nigga was 35, nigga. We was in college. He's definitely Morgan Freeman. Bro, who is this nigga? I thought that nigga was 35. He's definitely Morgan Freeman. If we had the same age, he could get to it, bro. Nah, for real. He could get to it.
Starting point is 00:17:11 That's a hard question for you to answer, bro. We just listed 30 niggas. That was cold. I forgot you played against that UConn. What's my other? AJ Price. AJ Price was there. Adrian.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Jeff Adrian Yo They had a wit Was Marcus Williams still there Yeah Remember the team The Johnny Flynn team That played against
Starting point is 00:17:34 Louis Or UConn In the guard For like Seven overtime Damn what was the light skin Nigga on that team That played with
Starting point is 00:17:40 Johnny Flynn Nah it was Andy Robbins My father Y'all remember Scotty Reynolds Hell yeah Bill and I Come on man You talking to this Yeah Yeah Nah we know Our hoop shit bro with Johnny Flynn. No, it was Andy Robbins, my father. Y'all remember Scotty Reynolds? Hell yeah. Villanova legend.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Come on, man, you talking to this hard? Yeah. Yeah, no, we know our whole shit, bro. That's it. So I would say Rudy or Jeff. No, that's a tough matchup.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Damn, you had a tough matchup. Now we got to piggyback on that. You know what I'm saying? You've been in the league a long time. What's your hardest league matchup? Who was the person that gave you,
Starting point is 00:18:03 like, damn, I got to get ready because shit might get spooky. Man. So, R.P., I'm going to say the Mamba. First.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Saw him. That shit. I mean, you look back at that shit now and you're like, I really guarded him. You know, I really guarded him. But then I also,
Starting point is 00:18:20 I won nights. You know what I mean? Like, he won nights, but I also won nights too. Damn. I respect. Earned that respect from him. so I won nights. You know what I mean? Like, he won nights, but I also won nights, too. Damn. And earned that respect from him.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Joe Johnson. Nasty. Joe. Nasty. ISO Joe. ISO, shout out. He was too big for you, Paul.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Joe Johnson. Joe Johnson. That was crazy. Yeah, that was crazy. I tried to act like this. That was still our time. That was it. Like, that was crazy. I tried to act like this. That was still our team. You like emphasized it. You went the new way.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Yeah, yeah, yeah. The best. I was just saying, car going to nigga 6A 245. That nigga damn near built like LeBron, bro. I would say. And then I'm trying to think of a little guard. Damn.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Shit. You was in the West too. Well, see of a little guard. Damn. Shit. You was in the West, too. Well, shit, his rookie year. Monte. Monte Ellis. This is Seppi Bullitt. Quick Monte. Monte going right.
Starting point is 00:19:14 All right. He's going right. And you got to cut it off. Flash D-Wade was tough, too, though. Yeah. When he was Flash. Yeah. But how is that, though?
Starting point is 00:19:24 Like, yo, rookie year, you know, you had an unconventional way into the league. You have a good career, great career at Marquette. You go undrafted. Yeah. What's that process like, you know, going through the whole draft process? What was that like? I was pissed. Honestly.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Like, I did, like, 13, 14 workouts. Okay. And then worked out with Steph. You know, we had Samuel. Remember Jack McClendon? Mm-hmm. Shout out to Jack. Jack, Samuel.
Starting point is 00:19:52 We all, you know, just competing all the time and felt great. Didn't lose a workout. You know, I know a lot of motherfuckers be saying, like, one-on-one, two-on-one. You know how the workouts go. I didn't lose a competition workout. So I'm seeing guys like, you know how to work out i didn't lose a competition workout so i'm seeing guys like you know and shout out to that great career danny green you know remember jonas jarebko damn sam young and again all these guys um that are on like in that same Georgetown. Yep. So like, I see them get drafted and
Starting point is 00:20:26 I'm like, damn. I was cooking. You know, I did everything I was supposed to. I did what I was supposed to do in college. I did what I was supposed to do in these workouts. And I remember my agent
Starting point is 00:20:37 brought it to me. He said, you have, we got two options. We have three options. He said, we got a job offer for you in Turkey for 160,000.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I don't remember what the other one was, but that was like 140,000. He said, or Utah called, and they want you to come into their summer league and fight for a spot. So I was like, I didn't understand at that time that if you didn't get drafted and like if you were drafted in the second round you still had to make the team i didn't know that
Starting point is 00:21:10 yeah so i was like okay uh what do i have to do he was like utah is in a situation where you know that was matt harper you know like he's probably gonna retire you know they drafted a big going to suton at the time and they were like they'd like you though so you can go in and show that you belong like you can go take that spot so I was like okay say less so I was in Utah like August damn early I was in Utah in August like as soon as I was done with school, I was out there. I was in hotels. Stayed up there.
Starting point is 00:21:47 All I did was went to the gym. Came back to the hotel. Sat up and laid until it was time to go back. Over and over and over. Just working. You was on the grind off the dribble. Just working. Just going, going, going.
Starting point is 00:21:57 And then Summer League started. I wanted to already be acclimated to the altitude. Had a Summer League in Orlando. Didn't go that great. Pressing. You know, want to do all the things that they say you can't do, it's pressing. Then I said, damn, you know what? Fuck it. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Be yourself. Have a great game, roll my ankle. Sacramento called, said they want you in summer league in Vegas. I was like, shit, that's a blessing. Cool. Go out to summer league with Sacramento. I take that same mentality.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Like, damn if you do, damn if you don't. Play great. Sacramento. Utah calls again. Says we want you to come back to training camp. And I was like, all right. This is the second time they done doubled down. They fucking with me. I got to go get this.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Yeah. You know? Like, I got to go get this. So then I'm out there. I don't remember going home. I don't remember going home. I got to go get this. Yeah. You know, like, I got to go get this. So then I'm out there. I don't remember going home. I don't remember going home. I don't remember sleeping. I don't remember doing nothing.
Starting point is 00:22:51 It was just being. And that was it. And that's crazy because, like, you think about it now. Even second round picks or even some of them, I'm trying to forget, they coming in, they got straight to training camp down there. You had to fight to get to training camp. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:04 I had to get to training camp. And then the other crazy thing is so when I was on the roster or whatever, like, I had to check out at a hotel every single night
Starting point is 00:23:12 we went on the road. Yeah. I had to take my luggage. I only had two suitcases. I had to take it with me. Take everything with you. Take everything with you. Damn.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Because up until January 10th, I could have been cut. Yeah. Damn. So I'm checking out every single time. It's like every game, every practice. been cut. Yeah. Damn. So I'm checking out every single time. It's like every game, every practice.
Starting point is 00:23:27 I'm, practice is my game. Facts. So how you go from that to starting? Like, bro. Jerry Sloan.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Jerry Sloan. But that's what I love about him. He give people opportunity. Yep. Yeah. Shout out to Andre Owens. Yeah. Like,
Starting point is 00:23:41 honestly, I remember I was in the gym one time on an off day and Sloan came in and he had smiled. Like, honestly, I remember I was in the gym one time on an off day, and Sloan came in, and he had smiled. Like, he just, I don't know if y'all ever liked Sloan, but, like, he like, how you doing, son? I'm like, I'm good, coach. He's like, go home.
Starting point is 00:23:58 I'm like, you know, I'm a rookie. I'm like, I ain't going home. What are you talking about? I got to be here. He's like, go home. I was like, okay. Go back to the house, and I'm just rookie. I ain't going home. I got to be here. He's like, go home. I was like, okay. Go back to the house. And I'm just like, damn, I don't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:24:12 You know? And I think he just saw that. And then they ended up trading my guy, Ronnie Brewer. That broke my heart when that happened. Traded him. And then it was just opportunity. Like, it was just go. Like it was just go. And it was just like, that was just the mentality.
Starting point is 00:24:28 You just gotta keep going. Yeah. And that's something you can speak to shit. You never know when your moment happened, but when it happened shit, all that other shit that happened before, don't matter. You really gotta go play. You gotta go prove yourself. You get, you really get one opportunity in the league.
Starting point is 00:24:40 They like, everybody get that one moment and you gotta like seize that moment but if you don't that's when you get lost in the sauce like I seen a lot of people that go out there you know somebody
Starting point is 00:24:50 get hurt they gonna be out two or three games and them two or three games could be your moment to show like I'm ready and then you can
Starting point is 00:24:57 maybe crack the rotation or another team could see it and that's something they might pick you up in the summer for your agency
Starting point is 00:25:02 and that's kinda what happened to me really with Kirk getting hurt in the playoffs for your agency. And that's kind of what happened to me, really. With Kirk getting hurt in the playoffs. Got an opportunity to play. I remember that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Threw your ass in the fire. Fire. But that's you. He started in the West, though. You was in the West. Wing in the West. Hey, Mello. Mello.
Starting point is 00:25:20 In the playoffs. In the Mello. Come on. Yeah. That's tough. But that's the thing, though, is, like, you, like, never took, you never blamed nobody else. You know what I mean? It's just, like, it's hard to digest.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Like, it is what it is sometimes. But I just got to keep doing my job regardless and be ready. Because at some point, 82-game season is too long. Somebody going to get it. You know, something's going to happen. Opportunity. Life too long. Like, something's going to happen. Opportunity, life too long. Something's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:25:46 It's just, if you mentally prepared that I did what I'm supposed to do this day, then I'm ready for whatever happens. That's a fact. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I know a lot of cops and they get asked all the time, have you ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes. But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Across the country, cops call this taser the revolution. But not everyone was convinced it was that simple. Cops believed everything that taser told them. From Lava for Good and the team that brought you Bone Valley comes a story about what happened Cops believed everything that Taser told them. I get right back there and it's bad. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
Starting point is 00:28:45 What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And yo, you got the matchup against Mello.
Starting point is 00:29:36 We got one of my co-hosts, man. They think Mello is his favorite player. She's in Jersey somewhere right now. Talk about it. I'm always chilling. I'm loving about it, Wes. I'm over here chilling. I'm loving your stories, bro. I used to be talking shit, but we talking about Mellow now,
Starting point is 00:29:50 so I got to relax a little longer. Mellow's tough, bro. Mellow is one of the best. That's your toughest matchup, Wes. I can't say that. Yeah, it is. I mean, I got Prine, KD. I don't give a fuck about KD.
Starting point is 00:30:02 I had James. James who? James Harden. Don'tD. You know, I had James. I had James. James who? James Harden. Don't do that. Harden. Yeah, I respect him. But Melo, though, like, he's, that's what he do. He score.
Starting point is 00:30:12 He got you off the first step, or did he put you in a blender on the block? Hey, me and Melo fought, bro. He might have got the best of me, but I won matchups, too. Me and Melo competed. Me and Melo competed, bro. That's one thing you can say. Your favorite player respects me.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Oh, for sure. For sure. I know you had to get somebody at cooking though. Oh, for sure. I remember in the garden where he had 50. I was with Portland.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Yeah. He had 50. I don't know. He might have hit two threes. Damn. You know how when you catch a he start he back jab and look down. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:47 It's already up. He scored 50 off no threes too before. Was it? He got another game. Yeah, he do. Yeah. He do. That's like saying, you know what I'm saying now?
Starting point is 00:30:55 Like, he really be dropping 40 balls and maybe shoot two threes. Yeah. He different. All right, so before we move on, how many of that 50 was on you? I probably had like 17. You're a real was on you. I probably had like 17. You're a real nigga, bro. I probably had like 17. Hey, but I ain't go back.
Starting point is 00:31:11 I ain't go. You score, you got to do it again. Nah, for sure. You got to keep going. That's how it's going to be. I respected you because you played D and you had a fucking burner too. Well, you got a burner. You still in the league, but yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:21 You started that shit. All this. That arrow shit. Oh, you don't need your credit for that Oh, you don't need your credits. You need your royalties, nigga. You need, hey, 2K need to pay you extra. Nah, nigga, we tapped in. I got low-key hot when I saw 2K.
Starting point is 00:31:34 I said, 2K, that's the damn thing. You started that shit. I remember the first time I seen you do it, I said, that shit hard. 2K. You need some royalties on that shit. Niggas, oh, but they be like that sometimes. It's cool,000,000. $6,000,000 and $2,000,000. Yeah, they need that. You need some royalty. That shit. Niggas, oh. But they be like that sometimes. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:31:47 It's cool. They don't. Real ones know. That's all. That's enough of me. Yeah, I was like, damn, that shit tough. You know what's scary? We just talking about Melo.
Starting point is 00:31:55 But nowadays, when you say Melo, you never got to clarify it with the young kids. And I don't like it. Oh, like Melo Ball? Yeah. Depending on the age, though. Nah, it's only one Melo. It's Melo. Melo. He love Melo. Yeah. Yeah. He love Melo. He love Melo. oh like mellow ball yeah depending on the age though nah it's only one mellow it's mellow mellow he love mellow
Starting point is 00:32:07 yeah yeah he love mellow he love mellow they ain't mellow next time you the factor when you say mellow they gonna be like
Starting point is 00:32:14 the light skin killer they ain't talking about the real one that's crazy your kids on your team fuck around say mellow better than carmelo
Starting point is 00:32:21 they might say some stupid shit they might that's the problem. That's why we ain't with a goddamn game. What you do when they say
Starting point is 00:32:30 something like that? Probably start benching these guys. You got the chance to play with D. Will. I mean, a lot of people understand how cold
Starting point is 00:32:40 he was. You know, younger guys, they don't understand, bro. He was different. It was D. Will or CP3. That was an argument for a, younger guys. Yeah. They don't understand, bro. He was different. It was D-Will or CP3. That was arguing
Starting point is 00:32:47 for a long time here, bro. Man. He got to play with D-Will at his prime. He could control the game. That was one thing. Like, he really understood, like,
Starting point is 00:32:58 I'm going to go get this bucket or I see what the defense is doing. Yeah. And I'm going to get us a bucket. That's a fact. Like, he had that. And then he had the matchups that he took personal.
Starting point is 00:33:10 That's when it was fun. He used to cook. He took that personal. Nash took that personal. J. Kidd took that personal. If anybody, them top five PGs, like, I know he going to show up tonight. He used to cook.
Starting point is 00:33:25 That right to left, back to the left to right. What? Let's just shoot the ball. I ain't going to lie, though. I love D. Will. D. Will my guy. If you ever see it, you can text me about it. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:33:35 He ain't going to see Johnny Flynn, though. Oh, Johnny Flynn used to cook him? Johnny Flynn. Minnesota days? We did not beat them. Damn. We couldn't beat them, bro. Johnny was nasty though
Starting point is 00:33:45 That's all I'm about to say With Wesley Johnson Yeah yeah That Wolves team though How the fuck y'all ain't beat them We couldn't beat them bro They was a bad team Pekovic
Starting point is 00:33:53 He was strong He was strong Pekovic K-Love was over there That was my favorite 2K team Them niggas was cold on 2K When did they get Kevin Martin They had K-Mart
Starting point is 00:34:04 That front part was nasty with them too cold on 2K. When'd they get Kevin Martin? They had K-Mart. That front part was nasty with them two. That's probably why I didn't win and I couldn't get a fucking rebound. Bro, we had Boozer.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Yeah, Boozer. With them two down there. Shit, they was both double-doubles. Y'all hear me say them niggas was still a little bit. They had Booze,
Starting point is 00:34:19 Millsap. But Millsap was probably eight, seven rebounds. Shit, that's what he do was rebound. That nigga Kevin Love was getting 70 rebounds. I don't respect Paul Millsap was probably eight, seven rebounds game. Shit. That's what he do was rebound. That nigga Kevin Love was getting 17 rebounds. I don't respect Paul Millsap. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:30 We know Paul Millsap was cold. If Melo caught a body on him, you were probably the taker. Hey, I saw that. Off the one step. He turned it over, too. He threw it to him. I was like, I was on the back. I was on the end. I know exactly where I was, too.
Starting point is 00:34:41 I checked in that game in the third quarter. We were in the playoffs. I was watching that. I said, oh game in the third quarter. We were on that for playoffs. I was watching that. I said, oh, my God. This is the NBA. That was my first NBA game, bro. Damn.
Starting point is 00:34:54 That was my first game. Damn. I remember that. And Melo dunked the hell out of Sapp. I'm like, damn. Cut that up, Luis. It was so effortless, though. It was just like, OK. I was like, oh, shit. Yeah, because he thought he was going to travel. Yeah. It was just like, okay. I was like, oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Yeah, because he thought he was going to travel. He was trying to outlay, and Mello kind of jumped it. I'm like, sap note. Now you're on a poster forever. And that's when he was saying, I'm back. He was going through all that scrutiny or whatever. That's something we for. He was on a mission.
Starting point is 00:35:23 So playing with D. Will, though, did you just have to spot up and be ready to shoot? That's it. That's it. That's it. And I couldn't even shoot. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Like, I was a slasher, energy, all that kind of stuff. So like, honestly, it wasn't until Jeff Hornacek because I had Kyle Korver
Starting point is 00:35:40 was on that team. Okay. So, they would sub me. So when I started playing, I was playing because I was guarding. I was energy, all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:47 But then like Kobe and all them guys, they would guard me, obviously, and sag off because they weren't worried about me shooting. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:54 So then that's when they would sub, put Kyle in, so he was more of an offensive threat. So Hornacek's like, you want to stop coming out the game? I was like, hell yeah. He's like,
Starting point is 00:36:05 you got to learn how to shoot. I said, all right was like, hell yeah. He was like, you got another round to shoot. I said, all right, let's do it. So every morning, I'm shooting on the gun with Jeff Hornacek. Every single morning. Never beat him. Never beat him. But then, you know, the game start coming around, start feeling confident.
Starting point is 00:36:20 I'm wide open. Catch it. Boom, hit one. Boom, hit another one. Now they got to close out to me. Now I can start doing what I want to do. Slash and all that stuff. And then now, like you said, that's how I started starting, which is adding stuff
Starting point is 00:36:34 to the game. But I had to have someone that saw it for me, too. So, shout out to Jeff Hornacek. I tell him that every time I see him. For sure, man. Obviously, that shit working is crazy. This even happened, because last episode, we mentioned you, because we referenced you. It was just like, that shit working is crazy. Like, this even happened because last episode we mentioned you because we referenced you
Starting point is 00:36:46 was just like, if you're not a lottery pick, you damn near better off being in a situation where you could be second round or undrafted because now, like for you,
Starting point is 00:36:53 your situation, you grinded to a point to where you got paid quicker than everybody else in your draft class. Yeah. Facts. I was one of those people
Starting point is 00:37:01 in that draft class. I was like, what the fuck? Right to it. Oh, man. You went to I was like, what the fuck? Right to it. Oh, man. He went to Dallas after that, didn't he? No, Portland.
Starting point is 00:37:10 He went to Portland. Oh, Portland. Yeah. Portland, that's when he really started shooting that motherfucker. That's when, oh. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:37:16 he letting it fly. Hey, for real, bro. Y'all was shooting threes. You and Nico? Two. Bro, y'all was letting them threes fly. Let them go.
Starting point is 00:37:24 And then got Dame. Yeah. Dog. I'm still mad at y'all was letting them threes fly. Let them go. And then got Dame. Yeah. Dog. I'm still mad at y'all, though. Y'all ended Kyle's streak. We played y'all in Portland. I took that person.
Starting point is 00:37:32 Bro, these niggas. He was in all out denial on Kyle. I was all day. I was like, what is he doing? I went 100. Kyle Farmer?
Starting point is 00:37:40 Yeah. Love, bro. I went 100% to him. And Kyle's my guy. I love Kyle. Our kids play together and all that stuff. I took that personal, though. He's like, he's not getting no three-disc.
Starting point is 00:37:50 But look, though, as a rookie one time, he had me pick one of his suitcases up one time. I didn't really feel like I had to. I should have. But I did it anyway. So, like, I swear, I told you. Like Randy Floyd. He marked that down.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I respect that, baby. Clip that up. so like I swear told you like Randy Floyd he marked that down I respect that baby just clip that up I love Kyle I'm like hey not tonight though hey you NBA niggas
Starting point is 00:38:14 are the pettiest people on earth he real petty for that Kyle had a street goal the whole game they beating our ass so the rest of the game we like we gotta get Kyle 3
Starting point is 00:38:22 we gotta get Kyle 3 bro they in all out of denial they up 20 he not letting get it I'm like They beating our ass. So the rest of the game, we like, we got to get Kyle three. We got to get Kyle three. No. Bro, they in all out denial. Bro, they up 20. He not letting me get it. I'm like, I know this streak
Starting point is 00:38:29 ain't about to end right here. I told Nick, I said, Nick, if he gets a three on you, I'm whooping your ass. Bro, they was in all out denial.
Starting point is 00:38:35 I told, I don't remember who our coach was at the time. I said, I'm playing every minute he plays. Bro, he was in all out denial. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:38:41 He was like, I was like, not tonight. I'm like, I'm doing everything to try to get him a three. Bro, yo, y'all was, that man's screams was illegal as hell. He doing like, I was like, damn. Not tonight. I'm like, I'm doing everything to try to get him a three. Boy, y'all,
Starting point is 00:38:46 that man's screams was illegal as hell. It didn't matter. Damn, before Draymond. It didn't matter. Facts. I don't remember
Starting point is 00:38:53 who y'all had. Y'all had Zaza, was it? Yeah, nah, we had, shit, I don't remember
Starting point is 00:38:58 who was on that team. How many years did you spend in Portland? We was a four, five. Yeah, five. Okay,
Starting point is 00:39:03 you had a good stint there. Great time too, man. Them fans was great. Yeah Yeah, five. Okay, you had a good stint there. It was a great time too, man. Them fans was great. Yeah, in fact, I had a great home court event. It was, it didn't matter who we played, didn't matter what our record was,
Starting point is 00:39:13 didn't matter what the other team record was, other than the Lakers. But they be doing that everywhere. Yeah. You know, but still, Portland wasn't, like, it was,
Starting point is 00:39:22 it was dope. Like, those fans, you know what I'm saying? You've been in a couple different places what's your favorite city you played in so far is it Portland
Starting point is 00:39:27 I mean for straight basketball yeah alright now fuck basketball what city was cracking what city was cracking I mean Dallas
Starting point is 00:39:39 I'm not gonna say Dallas I'm not making no more money shout out to Zion oh shit I love Dallas shout out to Zion. Oh, shit. I love Dallas. Shout out to my boy Z. Keep it all cool, fellas.
Starting point is 00:39:57 That's one of my favorite clips of them three niggas at media day. He was like, Dallas. I knew y'all was going to say that, too. Y'all was just going to break down the list of teams I played on. I was like, all right. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we know.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Now, Dallas is fine. I tried to throw it out there early, but, you know, y'all caught it. This one, I knew he was real. So, you know me, I'm petty. I was trying to, like, talk shit. Not talk shit, but trying to, like, fuck with them in the game. And I went up to him one day, and this is when Luca, this is Luca first year. I'll never forget.
Starting point is 00:40:23 I walked up to Wes. I'm like, man, y y'all gonna let the white dude get the ball the whole game that's crazy he looked me dead in my face he said that motherfucker cold and didn't say nothing else
Starting point is 00:40:34 I was like I said oh shit I was trying to start some shit like man I know you ain't gonna let the white boy get the ball the whole game like that was gonna bother me
Starting point is 00:40:42 he looked at me like that motherfucker cold. I said, oh, he must be nice. Next thing I knew, I said, oh,
Starting point is 00:40:50 let me shut the fuck up. He different. I'll never forget that, bro. I was like, I'm not going to say that to him. Maybe he was trying to get the ball or some shit.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Hell no, he cold. He came, as soon as he came in, like, to practice and shit, you kind of got to feel like, yeah, he the one. Yeah. It was as he came in, like, to practice and shit, you kind of got to feel like, yeah, he the one.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Yeah. You know how to do that. It was quick. I mean, he, I forgot what it was. We were probably just playing pickup. And I remember I was on the right corner. I was on this side. He comes down.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Bop, bop, whatever. Gets to the right, gets to the faint, like, text like the 45 or whatever. My man helps a little bit. Yeah. He at no point do we make eye contact. Like, at no point in the possession, he text like the 45 or whatever, my man helps a little bit. Yeah. He at no point do we make eye contact. Like at no point in the possession
Starting point is 00:41:28 that he just throws over his head straight to me. I'm like, okay. Yeah, he different. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:41:32 nigga different. He doing that stuff. You know, this was before he played an NBA game. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:37 All right. He see the court. Yeah, he different. So, that's why you talking to this goofy ass man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 You know me. All right. All right. You know me. All right. All right. Go get it. React it. I'm slow. Shout out to H.H. Wade. I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Fuck yeah. He just run them off. He got a long list of names for y'all. IEPT. Here you go, man. IEPT is crazy. Nah, but that's why I wanted to ask you too
Starting point is 00:42:08 like Luka playing with Luka that motherfucker is so big and slow bro like I don't know
Starting point is 00:42:15 how he be getting that shit off like do you know the trick like what's the trick to his game like I mean one
Starting point is 00:42:22 he's got his brakes like he's he's like James he's like James. He's like James where he can stop on a dime, change direction. His handle,
Starting point is 00:42:29 you're not taking it from him. No. One, he ain't been he carrying. One. But two, that's how the game go now. But like,
Starting point is 00:42:37 he know how to play. He doesn't, he's not like those 6'8", 6'9", guys that want to play 6'2". He's going to play 6'8 with a 6'2 skill set. So. That's a great way to look at it. That's a great way to look at it.
Starting point is 00:42:48 That's a great way to look at it. You got a future, man. He's going to be on TV. Nah, bro. I mean, shit, you got to ask. The people that play with Grave, you got to ask, because they're right there
Starting point is 00:42:57 with him every day. You know what I'm saying? And he understands situations. He's like, I got a little guard right here. I'm going to play post-up game. One, because I got a post-up game. And then two, I know that's the move. Like, all right, I got a little guard right here I'ma play post up game one cause I got a post up game
Starting point is 00:43:06 and then two like I know that's the move like alright I got a big up here okay I can break him down you know like he and then he know how to get fouled
Starting point is 00:43:14 too so like thinking about all the elite point guards you play with I know it's a tough thing to do but cause you
Starting point is 00:43:21 who you like cause you rank them like with Dame D-Will Luka Trey right now you know who you, like, because you rank them. Like with Dame, D-Will, Luka, Trey right now. Man, Trey right now.
Starting point is 00:43:28 You know who I'm going to throw in there that people ain't going to remember? You will. Andre Miller. Hell yeah. Cold. I'm putting Andre Miller up there, bro.
Starting point is 00:43:35 He cold. He understood the game. He understood the game. I didn't think it was cold. With a high-pitched voice, too. Hey, man.
Starting point is 00:43:43 He would break the game. Now, he like, one time he was like, hey, hey, Wes, I know you ain't got the ball
Starting point is 00:43:50 in a minute, but we got to throw the ball to LaMarcus Aldridge. So, we going to throw it to him, but the next time when you cut underneath the basket, I'm just going to throw it.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Just be ready. That's it. Like, he would read the situation. Like, he know, like, I'm not happy right now
Starting point is 00:44:05 and I go you know like I'm guarding I'm dogging the best player on it like damn I ain't got a touch like he be like
Starting point is 00:44:10 hey look I need him to keep dogging yeah get that man a bug I need him I need him to keep dogging I need him to stay engaged so he's like look
Starting point is 00:44:17 we been shooting a lot of threes we been jacking the ball up we need to feed big fella that's our bread and butter but like after that look I was gonna give you a touch that's real so like he be up there I'll say D-Will was up there we need to feed Bigfella. That's our bread and butter. But like after that, look, I'm just going to give you a touch.
Starting point is 00:44:26 That's real. So like, he'd be up there. I'll say D-Will was up there. Yeah. I mean, D-Will, Andre,
Starting point is 00:44:34 Dame, Luka, and Trey. I mean, Trey, that boy can pass the ball. He can pass like, oh my God. He can see that floor.
Starting point is 00:44:42 For being 4'7". He's good. He's middle as shit. Boy. I remember y'all was on the court at the same time. I was like, damn, that's the smallest backcourt. I'm 6'1", he's 6'0". He could pass the ball, though.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Like, I think him and Luka might be one of the more even trades I've ever seen in the NBA. Like, for what they do for their team. Like, talent-wise. And I hate when people say it's Luka because they feel like Luka's better I'm like I do know
Starting point is 00:45:08 that Trae Young did go to Eastern Conference Finals like that actually happened as the best player on the team Eastern Conference Finals Western Conference Finals like
Starting point is 00:45:15 yeah comparable points like obviously different situations but I mean very even Trae yeah
Starting point is 00:45:23 I don't know the breakdown between who's won more who's lost more but I gotta imagine I think people pick Luka more just because of he rebounds better
Starting point is 00:45:33 I mean he's a way bigger player I mean yeah but that's what I'm saying that's why that's why niggas is giving him the nod though
Starting point is 00:45:39 but I mean yeah but you got that's why I'm giving Luka the nod too but I'm just saying it's understandable and respectfully too y'all both been there Atlanta Yeah, but you got, I'm giving Luka the nod, too. I mean, irrespectfully, but. It's understandable.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Irrespectfully, too. Y'all both been there. Atlanta is a different market. For sure. If Trey Young would be on TV more, there would be different opinions about that. If Trey Young was in New York, come on, bro.
Starting point is 00:45:58 I agree. I mean, yeah, market definitely plays a role. For sure. No, because Trey nasty, and he. That nigga cold. He be having a great year. Like. You know. No, because Trey nasty. That nigga cold. He be having a great year. Like, down years for Trey is 24 and 11. You also get, like, that's the other thing is, like, I'm seeing, like, honestly with this whole team, like, there's just so much, there's so much there.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Like, we just got to continue to, you know, those habits of winning. Yeah. You know how that shit be hard. Like, because the hardest part about developing habits of winning is like, you're not going to win every time you try
Starting point is 00:46:28 and develop them habits. That's a fact. Damn. You know, every time you try, like, I did everything right. Everything I was supposed to do.
Starting point is 00:46:34 And lost. Lost. You know what I'm saying? That's life too. So it's like, how do you continue to do that shit over and over and over?
Starting point is 00:46:41 And that's the part where it's like, everybody's taking strides and that's like, I'm excited as shit. Like, I know we was talking about like Trey and Luke and all that shit, and over and over. And that's the part where it's like everybody's taking strides. So I'm excited as shit. I know we was talking about Trey and Luke and all that shit, but I'm excited about this team
Starting point is 00:46:51 and everything. It's facts, man. Atlanta got a special place in my heart. I'm always a Hawks fan from afar. And I used to work for them. On and off the court.
Starting point is 00:47:01 You got a little Marcus Aldridge story for us, bro. L.A. That's a big name we can't let go without, you know, speaking on for a few seconds. Why? What's that about? I just feel like he's probably, you know, shout out to all the bigs you play with,
Starting point is 00:47:18 but he probably the best. Yeah. I don't know bro I play with Giannis bro Yeah I did He ain't really a big bro What are we calling him then A fucking animal
Starting point is 00:47:35 I'm gonna pay 100% respect to LA Cause I love LA For sure Giannis who like he smoke turbo Blowing stuff bro Like that He's different Yeah He's different Y'all in this hoop like he smoked Turbo Blunts though, bro. Like that. He's different.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Yeah. He's on the West End. He's different. He smoked them trick-or-treating blunts. You talking about like a back-to-back? Yeah, I'm talking like a real post. Like a big post player. Yeah. Y'all just a cheat code.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Yeah, okay. You're traditional. You're last of the dying breed of the traditional. The power forwards. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Because I saw Dirk on the back end.
Starting point is 00:48:06 On the back end, I know, right. But even though it was flashes and that, like, Dirk trained it, bro. Like, ain't no one love basketball more than him. That was crazy. But L.A.? Yeah. Because he could go get you a bucket.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Even when you knew he was going to do it. Yeah. He going middle. He going middle. He going to that. Or a block. Turn around, fade. He going to that block.
Starting point is 00:48:23 He bump, bump. Bump. he bump bump bump fade or his bump are you too light i'm going all the way to the middle that boy did not use his left hand at all every bro that's just crazy and activate the midi and that's what's so hard in the league know what you're gonna do you're not even about to use both but you can't stop me bro i'm not good i'm that nice he didn't seem like he was just that athletic like but he turning on when he needed to yeah like he had that he was a dog though like he was gonna go get it like he always played with an edge and a chip and that's why you know i gravitated towards him and i think that we had a chemistry too like he was a big reason watch why i got all them
Starting point is 00:49:01 threes because i was always post feeding. I'm like, I post feed. They go double. I'm like, come here. Come on. I'm late. Come on. Let me shoot this.
Starting point is 00:49:11 I love y'all Portland team, bro. When y'all got Dame, I say, yeah. Oh, we was cold at 2K. What?
Starting point is 00:49:15 Oh, yeah, y'all was crazy. We were cold at 2K. Y'all was crazy. I love y'all team, bro. We was cold at 2K. I was subbing out the big.
Starting point is 00:49:20 I was putting my, I was putting LA at the five and putting Baton at the four. Oh, my God. Baton at the four. Baton underrated, too. He used to strap niggas up. That's just who we're talking about, y'all. Strap up. We're your condoms, but I ain't talking about that, y'all.
Starting point is 00:49:36 If you want to. Strap up. If you want to. Respect. That was really good. I was just saying, Niggas with Tone used to really like
Starting point is 00:49:48 lock niggas up. The key about why we were good with that team is because like Nick allowed Dame to be naturally what he is, which was a shooting guard to take him off the ball.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Because Nick like, he would score if he wanted to. He was handling the ball. But like he wanted to facilitate. Yeah. So like, that allowed Dame to cut off screens,
Starting point is 00:50:05 me cut off flares, and, you know, Nick trying to throw them lobs. Or Nick won the games of, like, 8-8-8-8-8-8. Yeah. That's what he wanted to do. Bro, he was like the black
Starting point is 00:50:15 Hedo Turkoglu. Like, the way that he facilitated the offense and shit and could still shoot and do everything, bro, it was perfect. Yeah, he run that same fucking pick.
Starting point is 00:50:22 He got to it, though. Yeah, he run that same. No, I'm just, I'm missing. He was right. No disrespect. Nico was coming. Yeah, he run that same fucking pitch. He got to it, though. Yeah, he run that same. No, I'm just, I'm missing it. I'm comparing him to Boris Diaz. Yeah, I know. Nico was coming off that fucking high pick and roll chin action,
Starting point is 00:50:30 whatever y'all called it. Yep. Going right. And he was looking for people. I'm like, man, if y'all don't let this motherfucker go left one time, how you going right?
Starting point is 00:50:38 Not at all. Nah, they was fired on. Then y'all used to run that flare action. I hate, I swear to God. The chest action? Yeah, I remember they was trying to. What's that play? It's that flair action. I hate, I swear to God. The chest action? Yeah, I remember they was trying to What's that play?
Starting point is 00:50:46 It's like a flair screen. We would come off a pin down. Like I would run off a pin down from somebody. Pass it back to Dame. Flair. Then L.A. was flair over the top.
Starting point is 00:50:55 I would flair over the top. You could throw it over or whatever. I used to be Y'all used to have my nigga in the blender. Man, what? Blender.
Starting point is 00:51:02 I used to be like, listen, we gonna switch it. Then I would fuck up. Man, what? Blender. I used to be like, listen, we gonna switch it. Then I'll fuck up. Man, they had too much going on with that play. Oh, yeah. I hated that play, bro. Damn.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Oh, yeah. We was flying around. Yeah. I fucked with that team. Damn. That's crazy. So, you know what I'm saying? You said Dallas,
Starting point is 00:51:21 you know what I'm saying? You fucked with that. The lifestyle was there. You know what I'm saying? You played in L.A. How was that? I always wonder how it is to play in Los Angeles because I feel like it's a lot of pressure
Starting point is 00:51:28 just to play for the Lakers. That was COVID year, though. So it was completely different. Like, there weren't even fans and nothing like that. So it was just kind of like... Open gym. Yeah. It was open gym.
Starting point is 00:51:40 So, like, I mean, it was just show up, work when you could because, you know, you had to swab and all that kind of stuff. That shit was crazy. It wasn't, I ain't even really got nothing for you. Like, you know, we competed. Like, you know, it was the team's cool. Like, playing with Bron, like, you know, I got a lot of respect for him.
Starting point is 00:51:57 And, you know, all those guys. Keith, you know, Keith, one of the guys that really helped me, you know, through that. Just like. To the end. Yeah. Just like, you know, staying with it, you know, Keith, one of the guys that really helped me, you know, through that, just like. To the end. Yeah, just like, you know, staying with it, you know. But, like, seeing Bron's level of, like, attention to detail and stuff like that was pretty impressive. You know, he's doing what he's doing for a reason. It ain't my mistake. Like, he,
Starting point is 00:52:27 first one, taped up, you know, first one, ice bags on already, you know, ready engaged, ready for film and all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Like, he really cared about basketball. And so like, that kind of environment is cool. You know, for someone that feels that same way.
Starting point is 00:52:44 You know, like if you don't, if you don't, if you ain't cut with that cloth, it's a different You know, for someone that feels that same way. You know, like if you don't, if you don't, if you ain't cut with that cloth, there's a different story for you. Yeah, I probably wouldn't have made it in there. LA,
Starting point is 00:52:54 COVID year, Jeff Teague, parties. Yeah, I would have had COVID. I would have had COVID. Y'all be talking about me. Look at this nigga
