Basketball fans, Hennessy
is proud to present Jeff Teague,
DJ, B-Hen.
Give it up for the boys of Club 520.
We on? We on, we on, we live, we live.
Yo, yo, yo, how y'all doing, how y'all doing?
Make some more noise. One time, one time, one time.
Yeah. Turn it up.
So proud to kick off All-Star Weekend with our newly sponsorship with Hennessy.
Shout out to the good people at Hennessy.
Give them a round of applause for setting
us up for us today.
If you're not familiar with us, we are Club 520
right here, born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I got my co-host with me. My name is DJ
Wells. To my far left, I got my dog
Bishop B. Henn out the prayer list. How you doing,
Nasty? Cool, Nasty. Let's
party, baby. I did a blessing, you know what I'm saying?
We used to be in the club together paying for the Hennessy.
Now they're paying us. God is good, ain't he? Nah, for sure. Shout out to Hennessy. Shout out to the Hen doll. To my right, baby. I did a blessing, you know what I'm saying? We used to be in the club together paying for the Hennessy. Now they're paying us. God is good, ain't he?
Nah, for sure.
Shout out to Hennessy.
Shout out to the Hen doll.
To my right, my doll.
Young Nacho, Young T.
How you up, man?
I'm good, chilling, man.
Off this Henny right quick.
I can't believe it.
We here, man.
I'm glad everybody came to support us.
It was a really good time.
We having a blast.
B Hen already drunk, so it's going to be a good show.
I need another one.
Slow down, big dog.
It's still early.
No, we want to say
thank you all for coming out
to support us.
We really do appreciate
all the love, for real.
Absolutely.
And we'll better kick off
this weekend.
We got a special guest,
you know what I'm saying,
from Indiana.
And you follow basketball,
you should know
who this young lady is.
She put in a lot of work,
put banners on the wall,
still getting buckets
to this day.
If you don't know
who I'm talking about,
Mr. Rike, Uncle Boale. Make some noise. What up, what up? I thought I was Indiana
Finest, but man, what you did at Notre Dame, I got to chill out, huh? Yeah, go Irish, whoever said
that. Oh, go Irish. Okay, well now, I don't know if you're too familiar with our show,
but we like to start off, you know what I'm saying,
with a real good question.
We know your basketball lineage is crazy.
You know, when it comes down to clutch, you get it done.
Which one was your favorite buzzer beater at Notre Dame?
Of course, to win the championship.
To win the championship?
Nah, to win the championship.
I would say the UConn one was probably sweeter
just because I never beat them,
and you know the rivalry,
but winning the championship is always the best.
See, that's why I had to ask because I know the chip matters, but beating UConn is a big deal.
Yeah, especially for Notre Dame.
In my career, we never beat them.
Up to my junior year, we played them like twice a year.
So to win that and then obviously to win the championship would be it.
Absolutely.
We got to start off, you know what I'm saying, where are you from again?
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Yeah, I got Milwaukee ties. Man, they still owe me season tickets. I'm saying Where you from again? Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Yeah, I got Milwaukee ties
Man, they still owe me season tickets
I'm trying to get back
I said some choice words about Milwaukee
I said I was in a group project
When we won a championship
And ever since then
They've been mad at me
I ain't get to play
So you feel me?
But you from Milwaukee
I played there
Milwaukee
Indiana cold
People don't know about it
Indiana cold
Milwaukee freezing It's freezing It's freezing It's freezing Yeah I played there in Milwaukee. Indiana cold. People don't know about it. Indiana cold.
Milwaukee freezing. It's freezing.
It's freezing.
It's freezing.
Yeah.
So how did you get from Milwaukee to Notre Dame?
Just getting recruited.
I mean, I kind of wanted to stay close.
It's only like three hours away from home.
But obviously, Notre Dame is Notre Dame, you know, a top five school in education and basketball.
So it was kind of a no-brainer for me.
Now, when you got to Notre Dame,
obviously you playing in a real conference, you know what I'm saying?
Y'all dabbled a little bit. Who was your
hardest matchup in college?
Uh...
Wake Forest.
Definitely not Wake Forest.
Definitely not Wake Forest.
I probably had to say either Louisville
or... No, I probably had to say
Louisville at the time.
They had Agent of Dirt.
Y'all know me on the show.
Yeah, she was tough.
A little right here.
We sat there.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So she was tough.
I'll say Louisville.
Now, piggyback on that.
When you got to the W, you know what I'm saying?
You ready?
Top five pick.
Who was that first person to W?
You was just like, oh, this different.
Oh, she got a smile.
Somebody went crazy.
You worried.
Somebody got active. You worried. Somebody got active.
Nothing like that.
It was just, honestly, there were so many players I didn't
know. I think that was the biggest surprise to me.
You know the names. You know probably like five, six
household names, but I'm like, everybody's
cold. It don't matter if they came off the bench.
Obviously, everybody was All-American and stuff, so
everybody was cold. That's what surprised me.
For you, when you first got to the league,
who was that one person, like you said, wasn't a marquee name, but you was just like, oh, he cold. That's what surprised me. For you, when you first got to the league, who was that one person you said wasn't a marquee name,
but you were just like, oh, he cold?
Gennaro Pargo was cold.
Flip Murray was cold.
Flip Murray.
And then I remember TJ Ford played for the Pacers.
He killed me, too.
I came back home, thought I was going to have a good game.
He came out and killed me.
My mom was all disappointed in the crowd.
My high school coach was there.
Everybody like, I played like five minutes.
I'm waving on the court.
No, I ain't getting in, but it was all good.
Let the family down.
Y'all let my lineage down.
They ain't not the lineage.
Speaking of lineage, you know what I'm saying?
Obviously you doing your thing.
You got a brother playing for like,
how was that for mom Dukes to have
professional athletes in the family?
She just make that call and get whatever she want.
Yeah, right.
Nah, it's definitely dope.
He played for the Texans.
So, you know, just having two, you know,
pro athletes in your family is tough.
One, let alone two.
So it's definitely dope to have that.
You know a little something about having that duo.
Yeah, my little brother made it to the NBA too.
So it's always a blessing.
It's a dope thing.
But football, your brother, definitely different.
Nah, that's a different story.
Yeah, that's different.
I was going to ask who's the best athlete in the family,
but I don't even want to disrespect that.
Oh, me.
Oh, it's like?
It's like football is different, but I'm still the best athlete.
Y'all play 1-0-0 ever before?
Yeah, but now we do.
I can beat him.
Back then, he actually used to beat me, but now.
You're the best athlete in the family, though?
Yeah.
They would co-sign.
I'm not just talking.
Oh, okay.
She was a soccer, she played soccer, too.
Yeah, I played soccer, too. Oh, that's probably why. that helps your hoop game a lot yeah and all that did you grow up
playing soccer yeah my dad's nigerian so that was the first sport that he loved he was mad when we
quit but i mean it worked out so so so no wonder why your footwork so nice on the court you got
a cheek hole for real a lot of girls didn't grow up playing soccer. When'd you pick up
the basketball, though?
Like three, four,
same age.
I was playing both of them.
Okay, okay.
You've been running
with her ever since.
What's your favorite
basketball moment
that you're not a part of?
Because obviously,
I know that game winner
for the chip is one,
but what's your favorite
basketball moment
you're not a part of?
I'll say the Bucs
last championship.
Yeah.
Man.
Did you see me out there?
Yeah, I see you.
I see you cheering.
You ain't see me.
You lying.
I ain't never get in.
I see you cheering.
On the side.
I did have some pom-poms.
It's all good.
Now, that was big
for the city, though.
Even though the after party
wasn't really what he expected.
But listen,
I got to see our after party.
Our after party looked like that.
No, for real.
It was, yeah.
It's not back there.
It was like that.
No, we didn't have anything.
The parade was dope though.
The city came out for the parade.
How was that reception like to win at Notre Dame?
You know, Notre Dame got a cult following.
No matter how good the football team is or ain't,
they still ride.
How was that feeling to put that banner up there
and to come back and get that energy you deserve?
Yeah, I mean, it was dope.
You know, the last, I think that was the second championship,
so the last one was 2001.
So, you know, for us to bring it back home
and just be able to, you know, celebrate with the fans,
like you said, it's a big football school,
but it's a big basketball following too, so just being able to bring it back to the city was dope. Like you said, it's a big football school, but it's a big basketball following too.
So just be able to bring it back to the city was dope.
Absolutely.
Now I got to ask you about the W,
like the way now the social media is
and you guys are able to really be yourselves
and market yourselves.
How was that?
Because you kind of came into the transition period in the W
when they were kind of like having to,
not say strict rules, but they had guidelines.
Now they're just like, no, we got to let y'all cook
because y'all personality is just as important
as what y'all can do on the court.
How does it feel
to be able to just express yourself
and get buckets at the same time?
It's dope.
I mean, we're like our own brand.
You know, we express ourselves
with the walk-in,
tunnel fits.
Like my rookie year
on the weight trips,
we wore like our travel gear.
Like it was nothing serious for now.
Obviously, you know,
we dressing up for away games,
dressing up for home games.
So it's definitely just
outside the court,
just a way to express yourself and, you know, be yourself.
Absolutely.
Yeah, the tunnel fits.
The W tunnel fits be far.
No, they're hard.
So you top five?
Of course.
Ooh.
You top five?
All right.
Who the top five in the tunnel fits for you?
In the league right now?
Yeah, in the W.
I say...
E-Weezy get fresh.
Shout out to E-Weezy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I throw her in there.
Her, myself, I'll give Diamond the shoes.
She got a nice style.
Tasha Cloud.
And I'll give Skylar.
Skylar, shout out.
Okay.
Now, Skylar Versatile.
So, yeah, Skylar Versatile.
I got a question for you.
What's the best? This's a two-parter
what's the best part
of your game
and what's something
that you're looking for
like to work on
in the offseason
to prepare you
for next season
yeah
I'd say the best part is
I can get a bucket
by myself
you know
I don't need a screen
I don't need
ISO
I can go ISO
I can go ISO
anytime
and what I want
this year is just a little bit more assists.
I've been watching Jalen Brunson, Tyler Halliburton a lot.
I'm Tyler.
Tyrese Halliburton.
And I like their game.
They score, but they do well with assists.
And so, you know, I'm trying to work on that a little bit this year.
Okay.
Respect.
Respect.
No, it's a real question, though.
If you got in an NBA game, the W a real NBA game do you think
you could score?
Of course
I could score
I'm not saying
I'm about to be dropping 20
but I can get a bucket
What's your average though?
If you play the whole thing
If I play the NBA?
Yeah
and you starting
we giving you valuable minutes
Like I'm playing like 30
30 minutes
30
we ain't subbing you
Tips
Yeah you getting tips
I'm going to say
six
because I'm going to hit
at least two threes
They don't hold D like that I'm going to be open at some point I'm not about to miss. Yeah, you get it. I'm going to say six because I'm going to hit at least two threes. They don't hold D like that.
I'm going to be open at some point.
I'm not about to miss it.
I say at least six.
So you're saying
because they don't play defense.
I'm going to be open.
Now, if they in my face,
they...
You know what?
You know what my coaches
are telling me?
If they in my face,
they about six five.
What do you say?
You open for a reason.
Nah, well,
with that group,
I might be open for a reason.
Nah, respect.
She averaged 20 in the league.
Nah, I respect it. How many assists did you use No, I respect. She averaged 20 in the league. No, I see it, though.
No, I respect it.
How many assists would you use?
So you would be a pure point guard in the league?
Oh, I would have to be.
I would have to be.
I probably average like five assists.
Five, six.
No, that's fair.
That's fair.
Five, six.
Six and six.
Six and seven.
Hard.
No, no, no.
We got an 80 million for you.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
That's what they get now.
Six and seven.
They get 80.
I got to get these knees back up.
I didn't feel you.
Nah, for sure.
How was it, like, obviously, with you being an insane legend now,
to see, like, the different runs?
You see South Carolina going crazy.
You see Kayla Clark going crazy.
Like, how proud of you is, like, the way that they're embracing
the game of women's basketball?
Because I've always said on this podcast, the last five, maybe six years,
the women's Final Four has been way better than the men's.
Sure.
Even with the lack of coverage for it,
now we're starting to get more coverage.
How do you feel like the game is evolving?
Are you happy with that?
Yeah, I mean, just watching it, like, you know,
women's basketball is becoming more in the household.
Like, I was at the airport,
someone was like,
you watching Caitlyn break the record tonight?
It's like random people on an airplane.
Like, so it's just like, it's getting huge.
And as it should, it's great basketball.
And I think people are kind of finally tuning in,
the media covering it, which is helping.
All we needed was media coverage so people can tune in.
So it's just going to keep getting better.
Absolutely.

What's your favorite? Oh, go ahead.
I was just going to say, what was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome leaving
college and entering the WNBA?
What was your biggest challenge?
I say mentally.
Physically I felt good.
I felt strong, but I just say basketball IQ for WNBA because you're 22 going into a league
of people that's 35, 36, 40.
They know the game. They know the ins and outs.
So, picking up on, like, the basketball IQs was hard.
And not hard.
It was just tough.
It was definitely a learning process.
Is people in your league at 40?
I mean, Diana's still playing.
She?
She 40?
She got to be.
39.
She's at least 39, 40.
So, she LeBron.
She been growing with us.
Yeah.
Dang.
She been around for a minute.
She damn near played when I did the first tip-off.
Nah, she wasn't there in the first tip-off. She was on the Houston Comets. She did play against damn near played when I did the first tip-off. Nah, she wasn't there
in the first tip-off.
She was on the Houston Comets.
She did play
against Cynthia Cooper.
You were right.
Nah, she did, though.
I don't think she was
in the first tip-off.
She played against
Cynthia Cooper and them.
She played against Cheryl Swoops?
She did.
I mean, but not the first tip-off.
I know, I was just
talking crazy.
She been around.
She started off with Cheryl Miller.
I think it's her 20th year,
so that's almost
first tip-off.
Nah, that's amazing, though.
20 years. She gotta be top five ever. Nah, she's her 20th year, so that's almost first tip. Now, that's amazing, though. Yeah.
She got to be top five, baby.
Nah, she's leading the score.
And nobody's going to break it because ain't nobody playing until about 21.
Yeah, she got to be top five, bro.
Yeah, she is.
She nice, though.
She is.
Absolutely.
Now, I got to ask you a question.
Top five Hoopers of all time.
What's your favorite top five players?
Mix it up, too.
Throw some ladies in there.
So, women and men.
I'm going to say Kobe, of course, number one.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Don't, don't, hold on. Nah, we're not
doing that. Let her get her top down.
I'm going to let you cook.
We are not at home, bro.
I thought I was at home.
Damn, the first one?
Go crazy. We sorry.
I apologize. I got to get an order.
Kobe.
LeBron, obviously.
What'd you say?
Okay.
All right.
Curry.
He will be.
Well, he is now, I think.
Curry. Trying to help her out. No, speak your now, I think. Curry.
Trying to help her out.
No, speak your piece, Queen.
Diana.
There you go.
Yeah.
And I'm going to say Sylvia Fowl.
This is crazy.
This is crazy.
Respect her, Liz.
I do.
Respect her, Liz.
You left Michael Jordan Off the list I mean
That's not my favorite player
He's definitely
Okay I'll replace him for
Who I gotta replace him with
No you don't gotta replace him
No I'll replace him with Curt
No he is top five all time
Come on
That's my fault
But I still say Kobe's first
You said Sylvia Fowles
Yeah yeah
And I don't mean to be controversial
But we kinda controversial on the show
She don't get the love she deserves.
She likes Shaq in WNBA.
But Michael Jordan still gets found.
Nah, I'm standing on my five.
Michael got to be six.
I'm standing on my five.
I'm standing on my five.
I respect that.
So she's the greatest power forward
in the WNBA ever to you.
That's your opinion.
Center?
I think she's the best center to play, yeah.
Oh.
Who you say?
Tina? Out the gate. Or play, yeah. Who you say? Tina?
Out the gate.
Or what's Big Nasty's name?
Who is Big Nasty?
Lisa Leslie.
Big Nasty?
That's what I call her.
The real big ticket.
I'm still taking a sale.
I'm taking a sale.
Okay, I got to tell y'all,
nasty is a term of endearment on this show.
Oh, yeah, nasty just means
that's a figure of speech, y'all.
Welcome to 520.
One of my favorite women's basketball players of all time
is definitely Maya Moore.
I feel like Maya Moore does not get the credit she deserves
because Maya Moore went crazy
before social media was really, really popping.
I feel like if she was playing in this era now,
it would be even more crazy.
Who do you feel like is probably your GOAT in the WNBA?
My GOAT?
It's your personal opinion.
Nah, I ain't worried about it.
I can tell you for you.
I can help you.
My GOAT?
Mm-hmm.
See, a lot of them still playing, though, so you really can't.
I don't got a single goat.
I think it's a group of goats.
Okay, go ahead.
I say Diana.
I say Simone Augustus.
Maya.
Ooh, Simone Augustus.
Sue.
That's probably, like, my group of goats to me.
Yeah.
Fine.
I'm on.
Yeah.
I respect your list.
What's wrong now?
No, nothing's wrong
Respect
Lauren Jackson was cold
She was
That's not my goal
But she was tough
Nasty
She was tough
For the Seattle Storm
She wanted Della down
I know, I know
You got you
Oh, I forgot
Ah, you right
Yeah, but
For me
My goal
Because she about to come to the fever
Is Kaylin Clark
Yeah How she going to the fever? Fever, is Kaylin Clark.
Yeah.
How she going to the Fever?
Is she going number one?
Yeah, she going number one.
The Fever got the number one point, guys.
Oh, yeah, you're right.
Yeah, don't do that.
We tapped in.
I get a jersey and everything. We got the new Shaq and Kobe.
Yeah.
Her and Aaliyah Boston.
What's up?
Yeah, that's my GOAT.
She the new Steph.
He disrespectful.
Ooh.
And then you number two for me.
I'm number two.
Yeah, but no disrespect, though.
I'll take that. Kaylin, she just played for the Fever number two yeah but no disrespect though I'll take that
Kayla she just
played for the fever
I'll take that
see now you gonna
have her really
lacing up
when she see
Kayla get all
type of straight
I'm coming to
the first game
she gonna be
face guarding her
she gotta pick her
up at the car
you know she
shooting from the car
see I see they're doing an all-star weekend
with Sabrina and Steph and the three-point child.
I'm just like, next year,
they're definitely going to be Steph and Kayla Clark.
They set it up.
Oh, it's set up.
It's set up.
Because Steph is going to be her this time.
You think so?
Come on, stop playing.
No, you really think so.
You don't think she's going to compete at all, though?
Oh, no, for sure.
She's got a burner.
But Steph Curry, you know, he got something in his hand.
God put something in his hand. They should make them shoot further back, though.. She got a burner. But Steph Curry, you know, he got something in his hand. God put something in his hand.
They should make them shoot further back, though.
Get them off the line.
Push them back a few feet.
Both of them.
Yeah, they both volleyball line.
They need to shoot four-pointers.
I got a question, though.
Who's the underrated player in the WNBA that don't get spoke on that you think should get some more love?
Mitchell.
Kelsey Mitchell.
You know, with the fever.
She's so tough.
She's so underrated. She's so tough. She's so tough. Okay. Kelsey Mitchell. You know, with the fever. Shout out to Kelsey. She's so underrated.
She's so tough.
She's so tough.
Okay.
All right.
You don't like nothing in the end.
Oh, you don't like that?
I thought she was going to say somebody else.
Like who?
Respect.
No, I'm just saying.
Yeah, anybody else.
I'm not really a...
Anybody else.
He got me in trouble with the fever
because he made up a story.
Like, I went to a fever...
I'm going to just share it Like I went to a fever.
I'm going to just,
I'm going to just share it. I went to a fever game and it was,
you know,
it was about this many people in there.
And no,
no,
no,
but I'm saying though,
and,
and I,
my cousin was like right where the Hennessy bar is.
And I'm like,
you know,
cause he's like,
what you want to eat?
I'm just like some,
some tenders.
Give me some chicken tutters.
And they thought it was so funny, but I'm like, bro, it cuz, he's like, what you want to eat? I'm just like, some tenders. Give me some chicken tenders. And they thought it was so funny.
But I'm like, bro, it wasn't nobody at the game.
Like, so I could really just talk to him.
I'm like, why?
He's not telling a story.
No, I ain't.
No, that is a story, though.
It's the Hennessy version.
He said, okay, you know, there's two sides of the court.
He's on that side.
His cousin on this side.
He said, hey, yo, give me some tenders.
Basically, in the middle of the game.
No, this is coming around to say, like, what can we do to push that,
like, more people into the game of the WNBA?
Well, fever attendance is definitely better than when you went, I think.
No, it is.
The last year we just played there, they had fans every game.
So that's been changing.
But I think it's just the media coverage.
Like, people don't know what they don't see.
So if you got it where you can turn the TV on,
go to ESPN, go to whatever channel and see a game,
they're going to watch it because it's good.
So I just say, like, coverage and exposure.
Yeah.
So, all right, we got a couple minutes.
We're going to open up to the crowd.
Anybody got any questions?
Dang, tough crowd.
Tough crowd.
The Hennessy kicked in.
Yeah.
Oh, everybody a little buzzed.
One more call.
Well, all right, on that note.
Oh, okay, here we go, here we go.
You got Q&A, Mike?
You treated like Price is Right.
Yo, what's up, Enrique?
What's up?
When you were growing up, who did you model your game after?
Nobody, honestly. Hey, what's up, Enrique? What's up? When you were growing up, who did you model your game after?
Nobody, honestly.
Like, I would just be in the gym with my brothers, with my trainer, and just play.
So, nobody, really.
That's what's up.
Enrique, I know you're playing a little two-on-two here tonight.
What are you expecting from the event?
Who are you trying to cook?
Everybody, of course. But I think it's going to be dope. I i mean that's my style of play you know like i said i like iso
different stuff like that so uh it's gonna be good and the people we got coming they
definitely buckets in the league so i'm excited for it
you hit him with the ad-libs. Yo, yo.
I say yo.
As Milwaukee guy,
who you taking, Michael Redd
or Chris Middleton?
Or Chris.
I'll take Michael Redd
because he a GOAT.
I'm playing.
He a GOAT.
Chris is tough.
I mean, he's a GOAT in Milwaukee.
Like, he was around for a while,
so I'm going to take Redd.
Maybe Middleton once he retires.
No, we're going to rock and rock Red
out the gate.
Michael Red, nice.
Everybody out here
is dirty in Milwaukee.
He was on a Redempt team, though.
You got to respect Michael Red.
Oh, he was.
Yeah.
Michael Red was nice.
No, he was cold.

Anybody else?
Anybody else?
I got a question for her.
Who your favorite ISO NBA player?

Shea?
Yes.
Who you think?
Shea got a better ISO game than Paul George.
Yes.
Ooh.
Hell nah.
Yes.
Yes.
Ah, man.
That's the only time I'm going to go against you.
I'm going to go Shea.
Respect.
Like, he's obviously tough. But I feel like he against you. I'm going to go with Shay.
He's obviously tough, but I feel like he don't get to it as much as he could.
I feel like he could get into his bag way more than he did. He got to play with three other people that's making $200 million.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
I'm going to go with Shay, though.
I'm going to go with Shay.
Shay killed it this year.

All right, we got a
question down here.

What age did you transition
from soccer to basketball?
After my freshman year of high school.
Nice.

Who you asking, me?
I say Hennessy and Cranberry.
You dangerous.
Well, you get physical.
It's simply Cranberry.
She's got a little Glorilla in her.

Eric Gore.
Not even a question.
Eric Gore.
He was nasty in high school.
But I don't know.
Lawrence Norpack, Greg Oden, and Mike Conley, too.
But individuals, probably Eric Gore.
He was nice.
He was different.
Yeah.
I think he had 50 on us, maybe.
He didn't have it on me.
It wasn't on me.
You wasn't guarding him?
That was on my homeboy, Phil.
