I'm Dr. Joy, and this is Therapy for Black Girls.
We spend our surviving middle school run getting into what's happening inside your kids' brain,
the group chat, and their friendships, and what you can do about it.
Your child is not doing this on purpose.
That's the kind of perspective we've been pulling from the psychologists and psychiatrists
who studied this for a living.

Self-care September is your reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, get off your
phone, and maybe ask, why am I like this?
I'm Jemisbeg, host of the Psychology of Your 20s podcast, and this month we're helping you
make sense of the person that you are becoming, from setting boundaries and navigating
friendships to understanding anxiety, confidence, relationships, and attachment.
Sometimes our biggest decisions, without a
us even realizing it, aren't driven by what we truly want, but by what will prevent us from
feeling lonely or being alone. Listen to the psychology of your 20s on the IHeart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his
motorcycle. I chose option B.
I'm Julie Pinheiro, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.

I love that you wore that shirt today because I don't like how much I just keep coming.
Stalling Mount Debo.
Stop my girl out.
Y'all got her.
Turn turn me up, Quake.
They said I was 40.
They said I was fat.
They said I was a two and a half in Mississippi.
They said I got a whole bunch of kids.
Like, why do y'all do that?
A motherfucker just something you don't like
and y'all just automatically start throwing wood shit out there.
That is so mean.
Like, y'all do know it's okay to disagree with what a motherfucker
say without slandering them.
Y'all, someone, a man hopped in my inbox.
He felt so strongly about it that he came to my inbox and then blocks me.
He said,
Not blocked you.
Seek therapy, love.
Getting on them folks show embarrassing yourself.
You're single, 40 years old, a damn bartender, got kids.
Yeah, your imagination is wild.
Talking about 10K, bah, ha, ha, ha.
And then blocks me.
40, bitch, I'm 32.
Kids, I got one.
A bartender, yes, bro, I'm going to get that fast money.
I probably make more money than you, Mr.
Probably.
And my imagination, baby, I'm going to always take shit straight to the moon.

to
achieve new goals fuck you Danny
okay his name is Danny Danny Danny
Danny blocked me fucking loser
that was weird you're weird if you've been taking time out of your day
to write my girl like no dad like what
you came in rowing this
Too invested and then block me.
And he's so ugly, and he made me.
So not only am I'm delusional,
but I got a little ADHD
and a lot of other things that go on in his brain or mine.
I looked at him and it made me think of Johnny Appleseed
because he had a big old, like, beer and stuff,
and I just realized that Johnny Appleseed is a real person.
I thought that was, like, a fictional character.
Oh, damn, he is, huh?
I don't know.
They had him.
When I was driving down 38th Street,
it was a billboard of, like,
the greatest 250,
Americans. It just said Johnny Appleseed.
What did he do?
I don't remember. I remember
we learned about him in school mouth. What did Johnny Applesee do?
Yeah, he was there not doing.
You didn't pay attention? No one knows. It was like a little
nursery rhyme. That's why I always thought he was fake.
He's an American. Who?
An American gardener?
He's not real.
American Pirates.
Across the Midwest.
Oh, okay.
I mean, yeah, I knew he did something with apples, but I'm saying, like, what made
this nigga to be like, Johnny Applesee?
greatest American?
I wish he would have
planned one in my backyard.
Yeah.
Well, they killed all the trees.
Oh, look, it says, are there any
Johnny Applesee tree still alive?
Click that milk.
I know that's right.
Johnny Applese's birthday about to come up.
He just does it all.
Johnny Applese was a real man named
John Chapman, who worked as
a pioneer nursery man.
Nursery man.
He strategically planted
fence. Oh, in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and
Indiana.
Wow.
Yes.
Okay.
Well, shout out to Johnny.
Hey, speaking of Ohio.
Speaking of, fuck Johnny Appleseed.
Speaking of Ohio.
I got that shit in Ohio.
Babe.
Shout out to the Sin City heroes.
Look at these fine as beautiful as black man.
What a beautiful chocolate man.
I just want to let y'all know.
Can we slide over?
I want to see what the rest is okay.
Baby, I'm trying to.
I want my sticker.
You know how you get a little sticker from the firemen?
Girl, the hill ain't got shit on y'all.
Listen, look at these beautiful black men.
Hey, I'm not even going to lie, y'all.
I got a friend who lives in Sensi,
and she said the girls out there go low for their news.
And I see why.
What's that mean?
Like, go low, like, they'll take it there for real.
Like, they're not letting, they go out.
They'll fuck up your car.
They'll fuck up your car.
Oh.
They're pulling up.
They're doing all that.
So they're calling your job.
They're doing all types of weird shit.
They do that weird shit.
Listen, I go low for, listen.
Hey, Mr. Five Men.
I actually set my house on fire one time.
I wish y'all would have pulled it up.
I might have did it again.
I'm just playing.
But them is some fine-ass men.
And y'all know I love a man in a uniform.
Just, mm-hmm.
Yeah, you do.
Yeah, you do.
Yeah, since he is a hop skipping away,
so if you see this Sin City Fire,
it's 520 somewhere saying,
Yeah.
Tell you,
your fine-ass day.
Listen.
Because I feel like the men in uniform,
they really be the good men.
Like, those are the men that you want to look.
Allegedly.
They be cheaters.
Mm-mm.
Yes, it's a thing.
This one girl's thought she was like...
Firemen, policemen.
The men in uniform?
Them be the ones that be all in all the girls' likes.
Like, you get one of them, and they be like,
you're going to see your men in all the girls likes.
That's any man.
No, it's not.
And, Trap, you're supposed to be taking up for these black men.
I'm saying this is what...
They say you a cheater.
They do say that.
So that's why you point your finger back.
But I'm not.
Yeah, they just say your profession.
Yeah.
So anybody that's in a profession that helps somebody is cheaters.
No, I just say, the man in uniform.
No, like, it's a thing.
Dang, they said, don't date the...
I don't know.
The three P's, policeman, physicians, and somebody else.
I don't know.
It's promoters.
Them damn promoters.
Professional, what's the men called?
Trainers.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, definitely not no fitness trainer.
Pretty and for a couple.
Photographers, yeah.
Oh.
Yeah.
You know, when you point one finger at somebody, it's three pointing back at you.
Pole dancers.
Pole dances.
I definitely don't think I could
I could be with a photographer for sure.
Look at them out.
Especially like the ones in our city
who always taking pictures of like
the girls.
How do you be oiling the girls of milk?
Oilment girls.
Mike said he sprays the girls.
He never touches them.
What do you do?
Freaky Malk.
Motion Malk.
I say you use it.
You use it.
How you put it on them?
I don't put it up.
They put it on their self.
That's nice.
You just watch.
Freaky.
Preaky.
Preaky.
I don't know.
I take my chances.
Right.
At this point, shit, they all cheating.
They all cheat.
Rent some off.
This is kind of off top.
But I wanted to say,
it was pie another day.
I said something like, yeah,
you said something like, yeah,
y'all not hood niggas.
Just because a nigger don't act.
Just because a nigger don't stuff like here.
good niggas.
I like that, though.
Who said to me?
Yeah, that's what you all I said.
We said they're not street niggas.
Yeah, it's a difference between,
it's a difference between like a nigger
like a nigger in the street and a hood nigga.
You didn't grow up in the hood?
Okay, so you know, the hood nigga was.
We're not saying it in a bad way.
I didn't say that like that.
No, no, I didn't say.
No, make your point, nigga, what you got to say?
He said, I'm a hybrid.
No, yeah, and that's the thing.
And it's some hood niggas that you wouldn't even
know they hoodniggas because they know how to
a lot of, and I just say everybody
bashes the hood niggas, but a lot of them
that struggle and the things
they had to go through made them into better people
that they are today. They're a little smarter, they're
a little quicker, they're not trusting of everybody
and they still got that little
umph in them that we be. You know,
not all hoodnickers is bad niggas.
I like nerds.
I want a suburbian kid.
No?
I guess.
I grew up in the hood.
They're going to show. I'm a burglot.
You're a hood girl.
You got a lot.
What that got to do?
Nobody in my neighborhood had locks.
None of the women did.
That's more of like a soul tree thing to me.
For girls.
But yeah, I grew up in the hood.
I don't think that I know some ghetto bitches.
I ain't no ghetto bitch.
Yeah.
I cuss a lot.
I don't know if you're a ghetto bitch.
Oh, baby, you know.
Because they, like you said, they don't know how to, they,
you can't take them nowhere.
It's just in them.
They just wreak the hood.
Can't like a D.
Go to a PLS.
You'll see what Ghetto
Let's look like.
Hey, bitch, I'll be in PLS.
Get my money orders.
You get free money orders at PLS.
The bank charges you.
Why are you charging me for this piece of paper?
That is weird, though.
That's a good.
Thank you.
PLS gives me my money orders for free.
Shout out to PLS.
Oh, well.
But.
Never mind.
I have a little hood,
but in respect of, like, talking about, like,
hood niggas and professional men
and like just dating.
How do you feel about like publicly dating?
Like if somebody want to take you out on a date,
are you trying to go to the duckiest duck off of places
or are you okay with being seen in public with somebody?
I'm fine with it.
I'm fine with it, but I would like to,
but I like to duck off a little bit.
But if we see people while we out there, I'm not tripping.
But I like to go to the outskirts to go on dates,
like caramel and shit like that.
Why?
I don't know.
It's just.
it's nicer out there for one.
They got more options.
And I just feel like...
You're trying to be dope.
Yeah.
The only issue is now if you go on a date,
like you used to be able to just date
and that's all it is.
Now if someone sees you on a date with somebody,
they're automatically going to assume
you're screwing.
And then you never know, like, seeing,
like, if you go somewhere with somebody
and, like, where other people are,
it could lead to, at least in our city,
it could lead to mess, like, so quick.
And then, like, how do y'all feel about, though, like,
okay, because they say you never supposed to just date one person.
They say that's a big flaw in women
that we date one person and get overly locked into them.
When you're dating, you're supposed to date.
So then how do y'all feel about being seen on different, you know,
like, damn, I just seen Trot with such and such,
and now she ain't here with such and such.
Like, I don't care.
You wouldn't care?
I don't care.
Because they don't, like, people talk anyways.
So whatever y'all assume, that's on y'all.
I don't, that don't have nothing to do with me.
I generally don't care.
But I feel like we all got that one person that we like,
if I'm on a date with a nigga,
I do not want to run into that particular ex or baby daddy or whatever.
But outside of like that, it's just like,
yeah, I don't know.
Y'all feel like if y'all was on a date,
you don't got one person in your past.
or whatever we like.
Not no more.
I don't.
I don't anymore.
If you see me,
keep it stepping.
Take a picture.
Oh, right.
Yeah, because you read to your baby
or not.
You did?
Oh, yeah.
I was just like getting
drinks with a guy and.
Don't you think it was awkward?
I mean, it was awkward,
but it was funny.
And then so that guy now he'd be like,
man, every time I see your baby daddy,
he'd be mucking this shit out of me.
Did you speak?
No, I didn't,
to my baby daddy.
No.
Because he walked in, seen me with a guy, he, like, walked, he walked straight to the, he saw us walk straight to the bathroom, came out the bathroom.
He walked behind me and he goes, stupid bitch.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense.

Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in.
I'm Dr. Joy, and this is therapy for black girls.
We spend real time on it in our surviving middle school run,
bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's raising two black girls of his own to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now.
So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos happening all of the same time.
We got into group chats and gaming, friendships and bullying, and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that erodes trust.
There's belonging. You could think of belonging as I can be myself and I can still be accepted.
and then there's fitting in.
Spitting in says I have to change who I am
in order to avoid rejection.
Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers,
sitting down with therapists' cure gains on black fatherhood
and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage.
You don't have more shorts, so you can't do flips,
you have on the dress, so you can't cross your legs.
That's the range of this run,
from screen time to identity to the fathers doing the work at home.
You have to get off her device,
but the reality is there's a lot of life out there
that we don't want you as your adult,
in their lives to myth out on.
This has been our surviving middle school run.
Brought to you by the people who spend their careers thinking about exactly this.
I'm Dr. Joy.

Self-care September is here, which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means.
Yes, self-care can be a long walk.
It can be in everything shower.
It can be putting your phone on Do Not Disturb.
But sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff.
and understanding your patterns, your boundaries,
finally figuring out while you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again.
I'm Gemma Spag, the host of the Psychology of Your 20s podcast,
and each week we unpack the psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s,
from relationships and friendships to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment,
just becoming more comfortable with who you are.
Unlike the quarter-life crisis, which is depicted as the collapse,
the quarter-life reinvention is the expansion and growth of something.
When we develop the ability to be happy by ourselves, nobody else can take that from you.
So this self-care September, don't just take care of yourself.
Get to know yourself as well.
Listen to the psychology of your 20s on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
If your bookshelf and your for-you page are equally important to your personality, welcome home.
This is Pros Society, the weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture obsessive.
and anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and Love Island
deserve the same level of discourse.
I'm Eli Rallo, and every week we're connecting the dots
between books, the internet, and the conversations everyone can't stop having.
I'm going to have to look up this story.
I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed.
From best-selling authors and your favorite book talk creators
to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table.
It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters,
then that is a Trojan horse.
Whether you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place.

See you between the pages.
The guy didn't know.
I'm like, that's my kid's father.
He was like, oh, for real.
He said, I see that nigga here all the time.
All the time.
I don't want to deal with that
How would you feel if y'all
Seeing somebody out on a date
Like how do y'all think y'all would handle that?
I mean just that one
Yeah just that one
That would be like so weird and awkward
But I'd probably keep it clear and keep it pushing
I like
I wouldn't feel no type of way
Shit one time
When I went to go
When I went to go visit my baby daddy
In the hospital bro
I walked in
And it was a girl in the room
And I was like,
this is awkward.
Y'all be going through the...
But I kept this so cute.
I'm like, whatever.
Because we don't deal with each other.
So it's like, it's really no thing.
It's just like weird, you know?
Like, and you might feel a little something, but...
I'm like, oh, well, whatever.
I stopped talking to a dude.
We didn't even get to, like, really start even talking.
Like, we went to, like, a non-public place.
And he had a messy-ass cousin
that was, like,
recording and she got us on there
and, like, posted it on social media
and everybody fucking seen it.
And I feel like she did that on purpose.
Yeah, she doesn't do it.
And so I was like, I'm cool, because that's weird.
I don't, I don't like being seen with people
because I don't know how long it lasts.
It's going to fucking last.
And I don't need you attached to me at all.
So I don't really like that.
I don't want to be seen until we, like,
overly locked in.
So that shit with the messy cousin.
She put it on social media.
Right.
I don't know who all seen this.
And I was just like, that was corny.
And, like, it wasn't his,
but it's like you got weird people around you.
I don't even, I don't even play like that.
And it's so early.
I mean, what date was this?
First.
Yeah.
Run.
It's just like, it sucks that nowadays you have to be,
you have to think about things like this.
And then also, like, men like to use pretty women
or women with who have some type of status or lit bitches or whatever.
Yeah.
As an accessory.
Like, you also have to think, like,
I don't want to go somewhere with this man and pipe him up, and he's using me as an accessory.
Like, true, that's what men, that's with friends, like.
Ooh, friends.
It's kind of like a, it's a weird space because, like, now being out, like, I be at the grocery store and people be like, it's $5.20 everywhere.
I'll be like, I'm ugly as hell in here.
I'm about to whip my son.
No, dead ass bitch.
I think twice before I leave a house now.
I don't.
I can't leave out looking as bullshit as I used to.
I walked into my kids game.
yesterday and this guy was like walking in like a celebrity period then I didn't hear him at first
and then he said walking in like a celebrity it's not like he said my name so I'm not it's not
I'm not thinking he's talking to me but after he repeated himself I like turned around I'm like oh hey
like it's so awkward I don't know my daughter wore our big three shirt to school and she had
teacher she's like my gym teacher watches y'all show and he like she was saying she was saying
something about them.
But yeah, she was like,
my gym teacher watches y'all show.
And I'd be running into people that watch y'all show and stuff.
I'm like, oh, that's so cute.
That is so cute.
But y'all think that y'all could ever mix potting
with, like, a significant other or, like, a baby dad or anything like that?
Like, there's, like, shows that are, like, couples
or, like, just hilarious, like, her and her baby father,
like, how they move around and stuff.
You think that you could ever be in, like, a pod,
face with your significant other child father, X, anything like that?
I mean, sure.
I could do it.
Why not?
Y'all going to be turn this bitch up.
I don't know.
I wouldn't want to, please.
That's what I was going to say.
Just leave it to me, babe.
I got it.
I'm not never going to say never, but it's not my ideal situation.
Because the couples be going at it.
And then just imagine a baby daddy.
You know, they're just so disrespectful sometimes.
Oh, my God.
You're not about sit on this couch and shit, oh, me.
Get your, yeah.
get your ass around.
But I've seen this video.
Mel, can you play that video, please?
They had a white couch like ours.
So they were potting at this.
He was potting and he was introducing
his wife to his guest.
And look what God's
they can do say.
Now, she got a motherfucking horse
on the back of her.
He was totally out of pocket.
Because I would have probably said the same thing.
Yeah, he did not know that it was his wife?
I think he said he introduced something about my wife and she came and he said damn no he didn't
he did that is disrespectful that was so disrespectful but it's just like they were asking in the comments
they were saying like was that a compliment or was that just pure disrespect like yeah that's
disrespect but what was he trying to accomplish I didn't see the all the whole conversation
because why are you bringing your big booty fat ass blue
wife on this couch like that.
And she got that on?
Look like a horse from behind.
He said I brag different.
But they were like the skin tone, virgin and tight.
Paint it on.
Malk, while we had it, is there certain things that your girl can wear if you're going out with like your guy or your family?
Like.
But she that thick.
So anything she wears is going to look.
What is what?
I think that this, this is to be a respectful dress.
That ass is still going to look crazy.
in it.
So what?
Because y'all like to take y'all
little honey's out. Like as a group, y'all be
triple dating whatever y'all be doing.
So when she go to the club,
you'll be triple dating.
Too, man.
Well, y'all be going to the club.
Well, we did go to the club,
and I was like the Fifth Wheel, and
you and Fred had y'all little booties.
That was a date.
Well, hey, you went to the guys.
Club dates are fun.
Oh, it was a platonic situation.
I didn't have shit
I was single and
Fred is my work boyfriend
Fred is my work boyfriend
Fred is so cool
No I'm just plain don't be me up Wobie
You all got dimples
Frank got dimples
Don't he
I don't he got dimples
I think he do got dimples
I think so too
He said I don't know
If I'm with my girl
Period
Okay
What's the key family?
Y'all lit together.
The guys come over.
Well, she got to stay in the room.
Can she catch?
What's up, Fred?
We've been out before.
This isn't that.
Get out the guy's face.
Put on the rope.
What's that?
What's the proper etiquette when you got company over?
Now, in my opinion,
you could come out.
Like, he's my niggies.
So I know my niggas.
Okay.
And the niggas I hang around.
I know they, I know their body.
But you're my girl.
So you got to keep in mind, like, it's a service.
Like, yeah, this niggins' friends coming over.
Mm-hmm.
I'm a pure friend.
For y'all.
That's what I was going to say.
I like to stay out the way.
It's completely out of the way.
Like, I'll pop it and hey.
You new freshness in the kitchen.
You might not even do that.
Yeah.
No, for real.
I'm not even going to say.
I don't mix and mingle with my niggas, niggas.
Like, if he tell me to say hi, then I will.
But we not bro.
Brother.
none of that
Like, bro, y'all do y'all, them is your
friends, y'all do y'all, I'm gonna do we
Yeah
And usually I talk to
I talk to guys who that's how they like it anyways
Like, but we, shit, we're not
You gotta keep key with these niggas
Yeah, I ain't gonna lie though
My, my nigger girl, I'm not, I might not you talk
Yeah
And I don't think that's awkward
Yeah
I was, I was younger when I had like in
house dick and so when his his friends was like my brothers and shit like that but it was still
you know a line of respect but i could still like speak with them to them and i think it i think
it depends a lot on the guy though like because some men do not play that yeah i like and some are
inclusive like some you know like some people like move in platonic friendship groups and stuff
like that and them are the type of man who's like who with that and like want you to be a part
of the friend group type shit or like bringing in the chicken
and making the advertisers.
He might want me to bartend, but, you know, hosting.
When you get with a person and you host with them.
Or, like, if y'all locked in for so long,
they people become your people.
Even if it's some food at the house, like, I didn't have my ex
been like, yeah, boy, go on head in there and make you a plate if you want some
because my bitch not making it.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
But, yeah, hell, not making no nigga, no other plate.
Kiki had, like, a boyfriend who, remember you was like,
He don't even like it when people ask him about me, like, because it's like, bro, that's my girl.
That's her, yeah, so you're saying you like my girl.
Right.
So you like my bitch.
That's funny.
But I don't know.
I love hosting, too.
I miss that.
I want to be in a relationship to be able to host.
I like stuff like that.
Like.
But I think that that might come with Mitch 42.
Do you think it's 40-year-old niggas like, stay in the back.
Don't talk to my girl.
Da-da-da.
Don't say hi.
Don't speak.
Da-da-da.
It is.
What?
They don't trust their friends.
Oh, the niggas.
They definitely don't.
That's really what it is.
They don't trust their friends.
Do they not trust their friend or they don't trust their girl?
I think they friends.
Yeah, I think it'd be they friends.
They know they can trust their woman.
Because if I'm talking to somebody, I'm probably talking to the big homie, so.
He knows.
He don't want his friends.
I will let you put baby in the corner.
I will do that, but I feel like it's more fun.
We can all coexist.
Yeah.
You know?
Nobody wants cousin Skeeter.
What you said, Mal.
I'm looking at olden niggas.
I already felt some type of way about older niggins.
I didn't have, I had this past week or two,
females then told me these old niggins are fucking crazy on my name.
Oh, they hate no motion milk?
They're dirty mac in the club, on dates, all that.
Damn.
They're wrong.
What they say?
Look at me.
What they say?
What they say?
You know, Malcolm, da-da-da.
Like, yeah, like, we're cool.
He said, yeah, I know that nigga ain't spending money on you.
Oh.
I know that nigga ain't treat you good, da-da-da-da.
Well, Mouth, they heard it on the pod.
Did you want to buy a bitch of taco?
I think they're judging off of your potting.
That's why I told y'all, this podcast affects dating.
It literally does.
I had to have that 10-K conversation with the guy I'm dating.
I'm like, bro.
How did it go?
Girl, we are you, and I stood on what I have to say.
And he was like, I asked you to quit your job.
And I said, and that's why I didn't entertain.
because I'm not.
The first,
the pod is my job.
That's the biggest thing
that niggas want me to stop doing.
So you're trying to stop my emotion.
Do they really?
Yes.
That's crazy.
And my thing is,
that's why I said 10K
and I don't even feel like
that's enough
if you want to be honest
because if we pot,
right, the opportunities
that we can have
from pot and will exceed
10K a month.
So, bitch.
No.
I get where you was going, Barbie.
Yeah.
And I like that y'all had
disagreed with it, though.
like y'all y'all was like no that you know so just on being honest but i just feel like the things
i have my mobile bartender business i have my regular job and i have the podcast you're telling me to
walk away from all of that so in my brain in that scenario i would hope that i wouldn't even think that
saying fuck potting would be an option that's working oh quit my nine to five quit my nine to
do this and you still give me five bands of perfect yeah but also i'm a person that
I really want to be rich.
Like, I really, really want to be rich.
So I don't mind working towards that.
And also, I said the 10K because
if one day, that nigga wakes up
and he finds a younger, more vibrant
or an older bitch that sucks his soul
out of him, and he tells me to get out of his
house, what do I have?
That 5K, I'm more than likely.
You know, I could put some money up with 5K,
but that 10K, I'll be like, okay, now let me go get a house.
Now let me get a car.
Because mind you, everything that I'm getting is from him.
He's feeding me.
And also, why are you telling me to quit my job?
What is the reason?
You're trying to control me.
And the guy that I was talking to, he was just like, yeah, well, you can ask me for whatever.
No, I got to ask you, I need money for this.
I need money.
No.
Just give me the funds.
Send the funds.
And then we can talk about it.
I got to hit the vending machine.
Yeah, like, let it know.
I would rather just worry.
That's all that I was saying.
I've been doing it thus far and I feel like each day I'm getting closer to my big break.
So, no.
Period.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pasto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in.
I'm Dr. Joy, and this is therapy for black girls.
We spend real time on it in our surviving middle school run,
bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's raising two black girls of his own
to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now.
So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos happening all this same job.
We got into group chats and gaming,
friendships and bullying,
and how to tell the difference
between healthy monitoring
and the kind of surveillance
that erodes trust.
There's belonging.
You could think of belonging as
I can be myself
and I can still be accepted.
And then there's fitting in.
Spitting in says
I have to change who I am
in order to avoid rejection.
Then we turn the conversation
toward the fathers,
sitting down with therapist
Keer Gaines on Black fatherhood
and what it means to raise a daughter
through this stage.
You don't have on shorts
so you can't do flips,
you have on the dress
up across your legs.
That's the range of this run,
from screen time to identity
to the father's doing the work at home.
You have to get off her device.
But the reality is there's a lot of life out there
that we don't want you as your adults
in your life to miss out on.
This has been our surviving middle school run.
Brought to you by the people
who spend their careers thinking about exactly this.
I'm Dr. Joy.

Selfcast September,
is here, which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means. Yes, self-care can be a long walk.
It can be in everything shower. It can be putting your phone on do not disturb. But sometimes it's
actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff and understanding your patterns, your boundaries,
finally figuring out while you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again.
I'm Gemma Spag, the host of the Psychology of Your 20s podcast. And each week we unpack the psychology
behind the experiences that shape your 20s, from relationships and friendships to
to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment,
just becoming more comfortable with who you are.
Unlike the quarter life crisis,
which is depicted as the collapse,
the quarter life reinvention is the expansion
and growth of something.
When we develop the ability to be happy by ourselves,
nobody else can take that from you.
So this self-care September,
don't just take care of yourself,
get to know yourself as well.

When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months.
I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files.
I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything.
Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable.
I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me.
I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming.
They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced.
But these aren't stories about what's taken from them.
There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive.
Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Speaking of friends and no good niggas,
no, I'm just pointing to.
It said, once I see your family still talk to your ex,
I'm good on you.
Hot take.
Because that's annoying.
I don't personally don't like it.
I don't like it.
Death to this bitch.
She doesn't exist anymore.
What if they have kids together?
If they have kids together, then yeah,
but it's still also.
y'all don't got to be overly riding her dick because like go move around I'm the new
sheriff's in town and I'm a likable person so y'all just trying to y'all on some weird stuff
but necessarily I don't like it because you're the ex that's still around uh no I was gonna say
I have I haven't my baby daddy like all my people date they communicate with him I got sisters
and her husband like they talk to that nigga more than me you know what I mean like it's just like
I feel like baby daddy's main mamas, they sometimes she comes in me.
But he don't be around me.
Yeah.
I just don't like it.
I'm coming up to go get me a plate up the kitchen.
And here go, Shaquisha, standing in the goddamn.
No, yeah, that would be, that's bad.
Get out of his mama's house.
No.
I still used to pull up and get plates and stuff for a long.
Yeah.
Sorry.
I love my, I love my baby daddy mama.
Love her down.
So you sit on the couch and shit with her.
What?
And she hosts Thanksgiving and he pull up with his new bitch.
I'm going to be right here.
too. Oh, I would be so pissed to walk in and see Trot.
I'm sitting next to her, matter of fact.
That is my girl.
Oh, I love her.
I don't care.
That is crazy.
I wouldn't care because that's my girl.
And you know what else I don't like?
But, oh, I'm sorry, go ahead.
I feel like if it was the other way around, like, if I was with a man and his family
was still cool with his ex, I would just be like, whatever, y'all can have a family.
Y'all got him.
Yeah, because that's all that really matters.
That's why I never really cared so much about a man's...
You want to be accepted by the family,
but at the end of the day, who got to lay in this bed at night is me and him.
Right.
So, yeah, cool, but I don't like that.
Get away.
Move around.
Fuck off.
Scram.
Beat it.
But I was going to say, and I don't like relationships where you're still co-parenting a fucking pet.
Oh, Lord.
Now, that's crazy.
Grow up.
Go.
We can go buy a new dog today.
Fuck.
Beagle or whatever.
name is.
You're not much
keep talking to this bitch.
That's just another one of them.
I left my eyelash at his house.
Exactly.
And no.
I do stuff like that too.
Copers still copering with a...
I took care of my baby daddy's snake
for him when he was like
he was in jail and I guess
he had lived somewhere where he couldn't have a snake.
And I loved having that snake.
I was really sad when I had to give it up.
So chat,
drop is the problem.
How did he?
She's still at his mom in the house.
She co-parenting the pants.
You took the dog too?
I don't like him, though.
I took care of the dog, yeah.
How do y'all feel about that, Chad?
How do y'all feel about the family still mixing and mingling with the ex?
They had every event.
Like, I don't fuck with that.
With the pet thing, though, I feel like if y'all not over here,
if he's not calling checking in on his pet every day trying to find a reason to talk about it or whatever, then it ain't no big deal.
When the pet die, she going to call you,
crying and then you think you about to go to a dog funeral
at this bitch house in this bitch backyard
please and if you are let me get my little black dress
because I'm coming to rest in peace
chico chico it always got something to do with some money
literally because that's how I was like okay
a nigga like definitely sent me a picture of one of my lashes
one time.
He was holding it in his hand.
He sent me a picture on my lash and said,
you left this over here.
I don't left some shit and never went back to get it
because screw you.
A lash, bro.
I used to leave lip gloss everywhere, though.
And it wouldn't even be intentional.
I would really want my lip gloss.
Like, leaving Fenty and Dior lip gloss and stuff like that.
I don't care for it's my Burst B's wax.
I still want that lip gloss back.
I love Bers Bs Wage.
But what would you be doing, Malk?
Oh.
What should you be doing freaking?
your boy to get in contact with bread crumbs you'll be leaving
only only no dirt
one thing I just feel a little tape
hit him up what you got for us key
a real
since we're talking about
nope
once you get to telling your friends your business
we start hating that nigga
and we think that you are you deserve
so much more than what
he is giving you.
And so,
but when you call me about him,
I'm gonna be like,
his lame dirty.
He'd have had them same pair of pants on
for a weak bitch and you crying about him?
This nigga had a hole in his sock
and you crying about him?
You really do got to make a nigga look
so lame and so ugly
and just so busted
for a bitch to hopefully try to snap out of it.
But I don't know.
I don't like that.
Don't call my nigga, nobody.
No, no, no, no.
No, no, no.
I take that back.
I do, but when I still love this nigga, like when I'm still in that zone, like,
them first, like, year or two, don't talk about him.
What you want us to say?
Just listen for real.
You, I actually manage these situations very, very well.
Talk to his job.
I don't, like, really talk shit about the nigga for real.
I just, like, build up and gas up my bitch.
Okay, yeah, that is real bad.
Like, I don't even really got to call him out his name or, or, but I will, like,
say that nigga look like such and such like just start roasting it's fine I won't roast the
fucking of him but I won't be like oh no he's a bitch-ass nigga I'll just be like
bitch you're the baddest thing that ever looked his fucking way he ain't no way on earth
he's ever gonna pull another you yeah talk so bad within my friends group that we all started
hating each other it was like you dumb bitch are you going back again what the fuck are you
doing. And then it was like everybody comparing
their dumbness. So we call it
the blind leading the blonde in my friend group.
But we finally, we all left them toxic
ass niggins. And
now we just mind our business. Because it got so
bad that we were beefing with each other.
So I know. That will happen, especially
when you feel like somebody you love so much
and think so highly just keep going back to
the same shit, you just be like, all right, bitch.
Are you for real? You like that shit. And I
say something to my friend, they'd be like, bitch, but what's
we was saying shit when he was going upside your
motherfucker in. But bitch, we're talking about you, me and my
nigga good this week. What you're talking about? You should have
addressed it head on. You should have said it then. Don't break it up
now. It was so bad that I was just like, from going
forward, we just all going to mind our business. We would be looking at other
friend groups like, damn, how they dig is in. Like, you know, it'll be like
the girls and the guys together. Like, her, your boyfriend, my boyfriend,
all together. We're doing fun stuff. We could have never
did that. We would have all started bumping if we would have got together
with our business. It was bad. No, but
I feel like when you a friend, though,
like I had this one friend, she was so good at this.
Like, she would get around the nigga,
and we'd be just a talked about this nigga to the dirt, right?
And she gets around, and she is such a good sport.
She acts like, they are best friends.
Yeah, you got to be, though.
You got to be.
She's like, I do that for you.
Like, for you, until you leave him, then I'm going to be like, fuck him.
I'm happy for you as long as he ain't beating your ass or, like,
oh, you know, as long as it ain't nothing that's like,
I don't got time to be.
blind and it will take over your mind.
I could have killed you when you said your seed was going from the semen.
What?
Eve.
That was real music.
Y'all don't know nothing about that.
That song makes me cry.
I swear, that song was so sad.
But I'm not.
I'm sorry.
My sister.
You could never figure out.
Listen, even if I let you live, what I love was all about.
I said I heard my blood and it don't come up thicker.
Yeah.
That was, I don't know.
I missed 2000s.
Yeah.
Look, mouth, you don't know nothing about that song, do you know who Eve is?
What is this?
Oh, okay.
She, Eve is with a rich white man and she's just living her best life.
Eve from the Bible.
Eve from the Bible.
Mike, is that what you said?
Ah, you can see it.
What kind of tattoo she got?
She's not a singer.
I don't know.
What's her famous tattoo?
My goddamn, no, who drank my goddamn apple juice?
She had some Paul prints.
But yeah, shout out to Eve in her.
He really don't know.
She doesn't even live here anymore.
I think she doesn't even live, like, in the U.S. anymore.
Yeah.
She's married to, like, a rich white man.
I love that for her.
I love that.
Okay.
Moving along from Eve and her husband.
Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day this year.
We're talking about hosting for your man and all of that.
If your man, his best friend comes, he's like, babe.
He got his tickets to the Super Bowl.
It's Valentine's Day
What is your response?
Go have fun
We could do Valentine's Day on another day
Valentine's Day
It's irritating that Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day
But if he got Super Bowl tickets
You can go
We could just celebrate Valentine's Day
On another day
I don't believe Kiki would be okay with it
Girl, why not?
Because you said
I just feel like, I don't know
That is kind of a chance of a lifetime
I'm going ahead and go.
We can't celebrate another day.
But I hate when stuff be on the same day.
Yeah.
I hate that shit.
Like, when you got to blend, like,
them people that was born on Christmas,
I would be so shitty.
Like, I'm really irritated about the Chris Brown and Usher coming here for Halloween.
Girl.
I'm annoyed.
They're on Halloween.
Yes.
Won't be there.
Literally, my kids take Halloween.
Sorry, we didn't.
Beard off.
Yeah, sorry.
My kids take Halloween too seriously.
I take Halloween serious.
I love Halloween.
Literally love it.
And I just moved in this new neighborhood.
It's so many houses, y'all.
The kids got to go in my neighborhood.
Like, it's going to be, it got to be like, I just know how you're host to Halloween
and we'll make us drink and we can walk around with the kids.
Yes, I want to.
It's so many houses y'all dead ass.
Like, the kids would rack up.
Don't forget about me.
I won't.
Oh, we do it.
We do a big for Halloween.
We do not be forgetting about what I mean.
No, they said they would have invited me to the 4th of July.
I was so sad I did nothing.
So.
And we do got to get our Halloween costumes too.
Y'all has this plan.
I'm ready.
Let's order it tonight.
We can't.
But I want us to do, that was Trot that said that hit them with something every week.
So even if we can just randomly, we might just all not even talk about it.
Twins, y'all cannot talk about it.
Just show up and be like, what the fuck this bitch got on today.
You can do some like crafty shit.
We're going to do some matching shit, but just Halloween, a home month of October.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like I might come in here dressed like Pearl off a SpongeBob.
Yeah, I ain't going to know what the fuck going on.
cute and funny.
I think that'll be fun.
We could do some random stuff.
We could do a theme though too.
Yeah.
And chat, help us.
What y'all want to see us in this Halloween?
Like, give us some ideas because we bring in it.
I take Halloween very seriously.
But for whatever, like, Halloween party, like the main event, like club event that we go to for Halloween, we need to order them ones.
Yeah.
And wear that.
And walk in like, I want us to walk in like belly.
Belly, are you ready?
Okay, what do you think about the Super Bowl Valentine's?
You care?
I ain't a lot.
I would be a little salty,
but I try to pride myself on being real P.
Also, I would think that he was lying,
and I would be like, bitch, you bought them tickets for you and him to go,
or y'all went and bought tickets together,
and you could have took me.
Ooh.
Is that selfish?
But, man, we don't care about the Super Bowl like that.
I'm going to look cute.
and have fun, like, why you don't want to look cute and have fun with me.
I would have so much fun at the Super Bowl.
Yeah.
I'm going to cheer when he cheered.
I know football, though.
I actually know football.
I was a football cheerleader than all my brothers played football, so I know football more than I know basketball.
Yeah, well, you deserve to go.
You deserve to be the best one.
But, you know, me and be like, we need our time alone.
Why wouldn't you want to be with me?
Bro, if I find out that you bought these tickets and you didn't get yours for free from your niggum or whatever,
and I find out you bought your nigginess and you didn't take me?
I'm going to be pissed.
Yeah, that was crazy.
And also, like, why would you not take me?
I would also say that he still would have to fly me down there because why.
Don't leave me off a bad.
Why would I leave home alone in a different state?
You can go to the Super Bowl game, but then come home to Mama.
Yeah.
And we can still go out the next day and then fly back home or however you want to do it.
But don't just completely, you know, exclude me.
And I think that that comes with like, and that's what I know that I want to,
with a man, like, I want him to always be thinking about me and always wanting to be with me.
I never want to be a burden to my man.
Like, damn, I need a break from her.
Like, no, like, I want him to be like, I want to go take my baby out.
I want to, you know, this is this snack.
Because we'd be like that about our men.
I have the most firm with her.
Yeah.
Like, yeah, I'm going to go to the Super Bowl with my guys because they understand the sports,
whatever.
It might be something special to them, they special team.
Cool.
I'm going to be back at the telly with the champagne in the bathtub like this.
Oh.
What's your name?
around.
Yeah.
So, why the hell will I be in Indiana?
Why, he, where's the Super Bowl?
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches,
there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pasto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty,
half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8
before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

one we grew up in. I'm Dr. Joy, and this is therapy for black girls. We spend real time on it
in our surviving middle school run, bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's
raising two black girls of his own to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now.
So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos happening all this same time.
We got into group chats and gaming, friendships and bullying,
and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that erodes trust.
There's belonging. You could think of belonging as, I can be myself and I can still be accepted.
And then there's fitting in. Spitting in says, I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection.
Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers, sitting down.
with therapists cure gains on Black fatherhood and what it means to raise a daughter through this
stage. You don't have on shorts, so you can't do flips, you have on the dressy up across your legs.
That's the range of this run, from screen time to identity to the father's doing the work at home.
You have to get off her device, but the reality is there's a lot of life out there that we don't
want you as your adults in their lives to miss out on.
This has been our surviving middle school run.
Brought to you by the people who spend their careers thinking about exactly this.
I'm Dr. Joy.

Self Care September is here, which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means.
Yes, self-care can be a long walk.
It can be in everything shower.
It can be putting your phone on, do not disturb.
But sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff.
And understanding your patterns, your boundaries, finally figuring out while you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again.
I'm Gemma Spag, the host of the psychology of your 20th.
podcast, and each week we unpack the psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s,
from relationships and friendships to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment, just becoming more
comfortable with who you are. Unlike the quarter life crisis, which is depicted as the
collapse, the quarter life reinvention is the expansion and growth of something. When we develop
the ability to be happy by ourselves, nobody else can take that from you. So this self-care
September, don't just take care of yourself. Get to know yourself as well.

When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months.
I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files.
I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up.
Don't say anything.
There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive.
to The Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Wherever it is.
Let me book it up.
Because what?
I just think that that's crazy.
But again, people might say that I'm selfish.
So Super Bowl is going to be in?
I feel like I rarely celebrate Valentine's Day on Valentine's Day anyways.
Because of the working stuff?
Yeah.
It always falls on a random ass day.
And it's going to be in Cali.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I want to be in.
Kelly, it's going to be worn.
Super Bowl is on February 14.
It's going to be snowy here.
Right, yeah.
Don't leave me here.
And I got to sit and watch everybody else doing stuff.
I'm going to be sad.
And that's where it goes.
So they think we just always want money and shit like that.
Even no amount of gifts would make me be okay with sitting here alone on Valentine's Day.
But realistically, so watching the game, how y'all think y'all going to do it?
This year?
Yeah.
Let's do something together.
We spent last Super Bowl together.
Oh, we did.
Aw, such cutie patooties.
Yeah, so we, damn it was, well, we spent, we spent Valentine's Day together.
We did?
Yeah, when we went with your sister to the club.
And I went to the concert.
I mean, the comedy show.
That's when we got the picture with the flowers.
Y'all went to Havito.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Okay, yeah.
Oh, no, y'all didn't go to dinner.
Hopefully I don't celebrate with y'all this year.
I don't want to celebrate y'all this year.
The goal is not to have to do a Galantine's.
No, that's the goal.
If I don't have a man.
Hold us to it, Chad.
Hold us to it.
Valentine's Day.
Y'all need to see where we get with it.
If one of y'all don't got no Valentine's.
You're going to go with them?
Then what the fuck you're saying?
If one of us don't got a Valentine's Day, then what?
We could kick it with you and your girl?
Oh, we can be your Valentine.
Yeah.
Aw, that's so sweet.
You don't buy shit, Malk.
We need some flowers or something.
Okay, cool, okay.
Them old niggas got milk fucked up.
He do buy tacos and he do buy flowers.
Yeah, that's some haters.
Don't hate on him, okay?
Haterate.
Try what you say?
You said the older generation
be the biggest haters.
They do.
We'll talk about that next time.
Another time.
We need a little more time.
What was you about to say?
Forgot.
You would go.
Yeah.
Rather than being alone, hell yeah.
As the girl that's with you, though,
I would be irritated as fuck.
Because what do you mean?
She would have to clear it.
I'm sick of these podcast, bitches.
Because why does she?
She's probably thinking,
Y'all about to spend special time together
and then Trop walk in looking finer than fucking fine.
I'm going to politely say, you know what?
Y'all.
And thanks guys for hosting me.
This was so sweet.
And Trop and Trop going to sit down, take her shot, drink her drink,
be having lit.
You know, we are a vibe.
Y'all going to have a good job.
Y'all, we need to go to a haunted house.
Sorry.
Can't wait.
I cannot.
I'm so ready for fall.
Ugs.
Oh my gosh.
Yes.
The key is.
Well, the last girl I went to the pumpkin patch with,
she ended up screwing my baby daddy.
Whoa.
Yeah.
They got a little dark hair.
Fuck my husband.
It was, it gets dark on here.
That was crazy as shit.
He felt so bad about it that he was like.
Did he not know?
We worked me and the girl worked together.
Oh, my gosh.
We worked together and.
She needed her ass.
She needed her ass be so bad, y'all.
But I couldn't let myself beat her ass because I was like,
I would feel like I was fuck.
fighting over him, but it was the disrespect.
I had her in my house. I had her around my
child, but it was so weird to him.
She was showing him pictures of our kids.
And he was like, what the fuck?
Like, yeah.
Bitches are weird, y'all.
I know I couldn't be friends with this bitch one time.
We was at, we went out to dinner and me and the girl.
And then we went back to my house and we was just drinking wine until I was,
until we were going to like go our separate ways.
My nigga at the time came home or whatever.
And like at first we was just chilling.
and drinking our little wine and shit.
As soon as she heard this niggas start coming up the stairs, y'all,
why does bitch start fixing herself?
Justin, she was like to grab the wine and was like,
I'm just like, yes, bitch.
I'm like, bitch, what the fuck?
I'll tell you after.
But she was a straight weird old.
I'm just like, is this bitch for real?
Is her kid for real?
Like, what the fuck?
Oh, hell no.
That shit threw me all the way off.
That was the last time we ever hung around each other.
And that's what we can talk to the girls about things like this.
Like, it'd be weird.
Like when it's trying to be a girl's girl,
but it'd be like some weird people.
Definitely be weird.
Out here.
Me?
I would have been like, what's you doing all that for?
Yeah, like the fuck.
Not that you did anything wrong.
I just know I wouldn't even been able to hold it in.
I was just like, you know, we're going to go.
Because we were literally, we were about together our stuff and like go and leaving.
Not you pose with the wine, last.
But we're going to go ahead and cut out
because I had to leave and go pick up my kids
It was like a Sunday or whatever.
She had to leave.
But anyway, I'm just like, yeah,
we're going to go ahead and cut out.
But literally, bitch, you did the most.
That's so weird.
Just for the nigger to literally,
like he came up a flight of stairs.
We're on the middle floor.
And then he literally,
you did all this print proper,
all this extra shit just for him to go upstairs.
But it do be situations like that.
I'd be like, am I tripping?
Because I'll be, it's been a lot of instances
that I feel like a girl moved kind of weird
like when my nigga came around
and I'd be like, am I tripping?
Right.
How do y'all feel about someone compliment
in your nigga?
Like, what's too much?
Anything.
Yeah, I don't know.
Keeps to your stuff.
I don't know.
I don't want to be a hater.
And also, it just really do depend on our relationship
and how you even said it.
Like, damn, bro, you fucked them up with them too.
No, not even to him, to you.
Oh, to me.
Yeah.
To him, don't.
I think it's fine.
because we're kind of like transparent
like if she meet like a new nigger or something
and he's cute because these niggas don't be fine no more
I'm gonna be like he's cute
I wouldn't take it I wouldn't take that no
I don't know I don't know
because like damn he's tall
he's fine he did
excuse me
I know like I need you tell me that
delivery matters for sure
but you could definitely just be like
oh shit he's
tall he's he's a good looking guy
you deserve that this is what you've been
looking for y'all are gonna y'all are cute
together y'all be cute i don't know i'm a real
possessive kind of jealous
person though
so don't tell barbby her man is fine
noted
like i was a little niggas
like i was a little niggas
I'd be like damn you're
don't do that
what the fuck
now that's the hell no
and you know with me like liking girls
Like we can be out and
Damn, she got a fat ass
Damn, she pretty
My friends now
What?
Man
But I think though
When you do have like
The bro
Like a bro bro bro
Like for me and my best friend
It's not your brother bro
Me and my best friend
Her boyfriend
Like he's
That's my guy
So if we was getting dressed
And he's like
That's her favorite word
That's my guy for real
I don't think it can be any weird thing with it
Because my best friend know
like I would never and it's just like
but if we were getting dressed he like damn y'all look good
damn Barbie that's different
yeah but even if we was getting dressed he's like
damn Barbie you put that on nice you look good
now if he said damn Barbie you think alright
but if he complimented me I don't think in that
situation and like my best friend situation
in some another random situation I don't think I would take that well
how would you feel if your nigga like damn
short are you looking all right milk I see you
in front of her damn nephew I love that when I'm gonna
Like a damn nephew, my nigga.
Period.
How are you taking that milk?
I wouldn't feel no type of wood.
What if he did like that dude say?
Damn!
He said,
what did he say?
Rest and peace, mama.
No.
What, damn?
What did he say?
He was shit.
She got that shit.
Yeah.
My little baby.
And then he got to say,
them titty sit right, that ass sick.
Look at them hips.
Them some child bearing hips.
I'm texting me.
And this is like, yeah, my fuck her like.
Yeah.
That's my little, like, all right, nigg.
Damn, my shitty look good.
That's too much.
I feel a nigga like, all right.
I throw the little twist.
How y'all feel, Chad?
I don't know.
I'm just a little...
I don't know.
It's...
It's...
Because I didn't have some shit.
Like, I had to have him grow, like,
my ass look fat in these jeans to my nigga.
She was her friend, or she was a random?
She was my friend.
Oh, that ain't a friend.
He looked at me.
He was like...
Bitches are.
Weird, y'all.
But also, y'all
got to understand, too.
She said, I look thick.
Same difference.
Like, when they do shit like that,
I feel like,
if I never took down or something.
If I never opened that door
and make that clear.
Right.
Don't go directly for him, bro.
Go through me.
Like, don't ask my nigga nothing about how you look.
Then listen to how crazy I am.
That's how I felt about the girl that night.
I'm like, bitch.
That was super weird.
How crazy I am.
So once that happened, it was a few other little instances
that happened.
like them eating at similar food spots
or some shit like that.
So I'm like, in my head, I'm like, okay.
Then I went up to her house.
She had the same kind of toothpaste he used.
And my head, I'm like,
you always expect her.
I'm like, this bitch ain't.
She's just peeping shit.
This bitch ain't never had no censor dine toothpaste.
My nigger used censor dine toothpaste.
This bitch fucking my nigga.
I asked him, I'm like.
So that was the bitch that fucked y'all nigga.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
That's two separate things.
No, no, no.
No, but yeah, like
Wow.
And he said he never did
and I don't know.
I didn't think that he would
but it was just like
a woman's intuition.
Yeah, it's a motherfucker
Chad.
Girl world is crazy.
Girl world is crazy and I want to be a girl's girl
and I love, I love my girls.
As long as you don't do no shit with me
like I don't know.
I just don't move.
Like finding real friends is hard
in a girl world like for real.
Who was that accent?
They were asking.
and if you feel like men are more loyal to their friends or women.
Oh, that was Big Baby.
Oh, that was Big Baby.
We just had that conversation.
Okay, well, tap into the Big Baby episode.
No, no, no.
He set it on the stage at the comedy show.
Oh, he set on the stage at the comedy show, yeah.
Super lit.
Oh, we got a recap for him.
He said he wanted to see it.
We got to do it.
Yeah, he was pretty funny.
But the comedy show, I truly enjoyed myself.
I love comedy shows.
And, like, the setting of that show was Superfired.
So it was like a club vibe.
at Trixie Lounge.
And every comedian was funny.
What's her name?
You kept saying it.
Monroe?
What was it?
Monroe, though, what?
Let's look up the lineup real quick.
Because they were absolutely fired.
It was such a good show.
And a different guy ended up coming up.
And he was from Chicago, and he was funny.
He was funny.
Can't remember his name, but shout out to him.
Big Baby was hilarious.
like absolutely hilarious
I really enjoyed myself with him
his interaction
his interaction and everything
with the crowd his jokes was funny
like really enjoyed myself
I'm a shout them out later because I can't think of their names
but
it was lit did y'all enjoy it?
Definitely they're so talented too
even like how they can like impromptu just like
react off of like the crowd's
response and stuff and they be asking shit
and maybe they'll come and say some of the funniest shit
I'd be like how did you do that?
It was pretty dope.
I enjoyed myself.
And shout out to Ricky V.
He got up there and tried to, he did stand up.
Richie.
Richie V.
What I say?
Ricky.
Ricky Ricardo.
Richie.
Richie.
Richie.
Rich.
Richie.
Richie.
Okay.
Oh shit.
We lie.
He did some stand up.
Actually, I thought it was funny.
But getting up there and doing stand up, like, that has to be hard.
Like, for real.
Because, like, Big Baby said people, black people fuck with comedians because of, like,
who they are.
Like, oh, you know, more.
than just like the comedy like they really have to be like it's a personal thing but
I really enjoyed myself I don't know what I was on that night once Shauna sent that
bottle I was trying to drink myself through the flow money my son be getting on my nerves I'm like
shit y'all don't have a couple more shots I'm like doubles yeah let's get into it another one guys
yeah like I was trying to feel good and that I did and that's why I've been sitting my ass down for
the rest of the weekend but shout out to big baby he was probably my favorite guess yet
he was a vibe he was my favorite guest yet he was my favorite guest yes
Yeah.
Can't wait to see who else we have on the couch chat.
Make sure y'all are tapping in.
Let us know about these Halloween costumes.
Let us know about these overly freaked out friendly bitches.
Let us know if we wrong, if we write Cincinnati Fire Department.
Okay.
Kiki, I don't know who needs to hear this, but what?
You should not wash your face with the same reg.
You wash your ass with.
Tell them.
Who the fuck needs to hear that?
People be doing it.
I also, I was kind of confused.
Like, y'all got white friends?
No.
Not currently.
Can't say that I do, no.
They really be talking about like, oh, I'm taking the everything shower.
I don't understand that.
Go days, weeks without showering.
Man, I had a, I'm so sorry.
This girl on our volleyball team, she used to not,
her family wouldn't flush the toilet.
every flush
like they would have to
like they would only flush it
if like somebody boo-boed
or like they would try to get like
10 uses out of it before they flush
How much does it really cost to flush the toilet?
How much does it really cost the flush?
Please flush that.
Maybe they were being environmentally friendly
I don't think it was about the money
but yeah.
I don't like that.
That was crazy to me.
That's going to make your toilet dirty.
Yeah, that's not environmental friendly.
If you do the restaurant,
The little water that's up.
Right.
Somebody else is...
Got a concoction of pee.
I don't know.
So who's flashing on your balls?
They don't need to what?
That trap.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but do not crack that man.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, a decent amount of time.
Because the longer you wait, the truth will come out.
He probably got a wife or a girlfriend at this point.
Or he's a piece of shit.
Because they hide it really well in the beginning.
And fellas, this for you too.
She could be a piece of shit.
I feel like I'm under, I have a three-month curse,
and it'd be like, I fall out with everybody after three months.
Oh, my gosh.
I went through that before.
And I'm talking about, I look up.
I'm like, damn, why everything going wrong?
And it'd be like, damn, it's three months.
Yeah.
When they say, you're supposed to wait 90 days?
If I would have waited that 90 days.
When I had that caught that body for no reason.
That, and then I just could have seen their true colors.
Like, you know, and yeah, not wasting my time more than anything.
because bodies can be erased.
See you next time.
We love y'all.
