Starting point is 00:02:41 We got company. I ain't never seen this thing with a slushie. I know. I forgot I'm at Broke Crib. It's all love. He ain't got his shades on, man. I know. I forgot him at Broke Crib. It's all love. We're going to have a good show regardless. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Tomorrow, right? My dog, young Nacho, young Teague. How you what today? Man, I'm good, bro. We got family in the building. I kept it classy today by the dough.
Starting point is 00:02:55 These weren't by the dough. I had to bring them with me, but I kept it classy. Hey, niggas on the internet said you got the biggest dough in the world because they're sure you got it
Starting point is 00:03:00 right in your fucking garage. I just got a messy house. I'm not going to dive into that. Last but not least, we got legends in the building. Legends, legends in the building. One of my favorite people to see on YouTube
Starting point is 00:03:13 watching these dudes do their thing individually as a team. It's inspiring for people like us coming up in this industry to see real niggas get money together, to work together,
Starting point is 00:03:21 to thrive together. It's amazing. To my left, you got DC Young Fly She called me And last but not least My dog Carlos How y'all living man
Starting point is 00:03:29 Appreciate y'all Pulling up to 520 man It's a pleasure to be here Slim We were nervous I ain't gonna lie Y'all was nervous in the city I thought it was a discount mall Yeah
Starting point is 00:03:36 It definitely is I seen the Mexican grocery store I was like This nigga This nigga setting us up Ain't no way in the world Exactly Ain't no way in the world They got meat in there fresh. Exactly. Ain't no way in the world.
Starting point is 00:03:45 They got the beauty supply store next to the Mexican grocery store. I said, yo. Yo, nigga. I'm on board. Y'all looking lit outside. Y'all thought this was a Tubi movie. Nah, nigga. No cap.
Starting point is 00:03:54 For real. We didn't even park. We just kept circling the park. I said, T, go over here. I'll be down. In the front and center. They don't know T. They don't know where T really be.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Nah, I'll be in the trenches. At all times. I said, that T car right there. Yeah, yeah. Facts. That's a team, really. Nah, I'll be in the trenches. At all times. I seen that team car right there. Yeah, yeah. That's a rich nigga truck. They wouldn't have to make some grocery store. Ah, but man, we appreciate y'all pulling up on us, man. Tell them why y'all in the city, man. We got the 85
Starting point is 00:04:18 South show tonight, man, at the what is it? The Fieldhouse? Gainesbridge. Gainesbridge. Yeah, Fieldhouse, man. We in Naptown tonight, man. So, you know, we excited about being able to perform, you know, here. Because I don't think we ever did an 85 South Shore in Indianapolis before. We done been here?
Starting point is 00:04:35 We have? Oh, okay. Well, it's good to be back then. I don't remember when we came, but we love coming out here because there's so much love, man. So we excited about, you know, the show tonight and, man, what the people are going to give us when we get out there. Well, 100, man, we appreciate y'all.
Starting point is 00:04:49 I got to start off with a question, man. We had Mike Epson, and he sung y'all praises, and he started off the show talking about the wildest city he performed in for y'all. What was the craziest place y'all performed in or, like, one of your, like, wildest performances you had to deal with? Shout out to Mike Epson.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's the OG. Yeah, love Mike. Also, Mike said them some young old niggas, man. And if you get close to Mike. That's the OG. Yeah, love Mike. I saw Mike said, them some young old niggas. Yeah. And if you get close to them, they smell like gin. Yeah. I don't drink.
Starting point is 00:05:12 A nigga smell like gin is just crazy. That's the granddaddy. That nigga, that's stupid. So I'm going to say I turned, for me, was Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Oh. Minnesota, huh? Minnesota. We ain't going to talk about Minnesota. He can't go back to Minnesota. Y'all was in Minneapolis? Yeah. Minnesota, huh? Minnesota. We ain't gonna talk about Minnesota. He can't go back to Minnesota. Y'all was in Minneapolis? Yeah. Yeah, he been.
Starting point is 00:05:29 He can't go back to Minneapolis. From the city or the state? Yeah, they pay me a lot of money and I talk a bunch of shit about them. Oh, for real? Yeah. Damn. They changed my life though, but.
Starting point is 00:05:38 So you feel like, you feel like, oh, y'all feel like Minnesota was the best one? You mean as an 85 South Shore just in general? Yeah, 85 South Shore. In general. In general, Tallahassee, Florida, man.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Me and Los had a show in Tallahassee, Florida. And they had our food in the men's bathroom. Like, no bullshit. Our green room was in the men's bathroom. That's crazy. And niggas was still using the bathroom. They got chicken wings and shit in the men's bathroom. We in a club.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Nigga, I don't even know what type of club this was. It was probably one of them places they had male strip shows for the... I'm telling you, it was the wildest shit ever. And we was in there just looking around and niggas just kept coming in as we doing the show. Coming in and out of the bathroom with our wings and shit. We like, nigga.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Did y'all eat the niggas? No, nigga. Then a nigga paid us in a grocery bag like the nigga pulled up he ain't had the money at first he's like man i'll be give me 30 minutes i'll be right back i swear to god i'll be right back he's sitting there like this nigga ain't coming back and then came back 30 minutes later with the money in the grocery he came back with the ugliest money though the money was so ugly you can tell it had been pieced together. Because it wasn't like, it wasn't nothing in the bag bigger than like a 10 or a 20.
Starting point is 00:06:49 It was one of them. It looked like a whole lot of money. But it really wasn't no whole lot of money. It was just ugly. He robbed us from vacation. Sometimes it don't be the city that be wild. It be the show. Like one of the craziest shows I ever had.
Starting point is 00:07:04 I performed for about 400 recovering addicts on New Year's Eve. Rob Markman Oh, man. Rob Markman These people made me stay on stage for about three hours. Rob Markman Damn. Rob Markman Because they was, it was like, it was one of them things where they all get together and they was just so excited to be having fun without doing drugs and drinking and shit.
Starting point is 00:07:25 They just like, no, man, stay up there. Stay up there. Craziest outfit I ever seen. This old dude in there, you know that motherfucker with a mink coat? He had a mink coat, but it wasn't made of mink fur. It was made of mink skin? No, it had minks.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Like the animal? Like it had a whole bunch of minks. Like you could see the whole body. They was like on the, they was just like hanging off. Full body minks. And I was like, what you gave? Like it's a mink coat. And I was like, I don't know if this is a joke or it's an unfinished coat. When we had that show, remember we started off, it was around here. When we had that show, I just can't call it out. Remember when we first started, it was by like 150 people and the promoter was sweat.
Starting point is 00:08:13 We was in like a Masonic. Yeah, yeah. We was around here. Nah, I think that was when we was in Houston. We wasn't in Houston. We was in the middle of nowhere around here. It started with a, what's the show people don't... People come to, but they go out for it.
Starting point is 00:08:28 What's the city? I'm sitting around here. DC, that's too vague. No, it ain't, man. It's only... You got Gary. Fort Wayne. Fort Wayne.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Terry Holt. Terry Holt. And what's the other one? South Bend. Not South Bend. I pray they ain't seen y'all South Bend. I know y'all niggas didn't go to Lafayette. We ain't go to Lafayette.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Everybody skipping it. Anderson, Muncie, Bloomington. The nigga that made y'all name every city. I don't remember. So it's in Indiana. We got to do the Googles on that. I remember the Masonic Temple. What about it though, DC?
Starting point is 00:08:53 What happened? The Masonic Temple show I remember was that one we was in Houston when them niggas was playing pool and watching TV and shit while we was playing pool. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember the Masonic Temple. What about us though, DC? What happened? The Masonic Temple show I remember
Starting point is 00:09:05 was that one we was in Houston when them niggas was playing pool and watching TV and shit while we was performing at the same time. Remember we was in Houston, nigga, and we was performing and wasn't nobody paying attention the whole night? Nigga. How about when we performed?
Starting point is 00:09:17 Peoria, nigga. That's Illinois. Oh, that's Illinois. Oh, that's a nasty city. Isn't that dope? That's a nasty city. It is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:24 That's what Richard Pryor's from. What was he about to say, though? I was like, I'm going to get that motherfucker in a minute. That's not, though. That's a nasty city. It is. Yeah. That's what Richard Pryor's from. What was he about to say, though? I was like, I'm going to get that motherfucker in a minute. I had to stay still. What happened in Peoria? Never mind. Nigga, we started off with 200 people, bro. It looked like one nobody finna show up.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I ain't never seen this shit in my life, nigga. Like, dude. That was in Indianapolis. That was the show we did in Indianapolis, nigga, when we had the baseball jerseys on. Yes. Yeah, you talking about 85. That was the time we, That was the show we did in Indianapolis, nigga, when we had the baseball jerseys on. Yes. Yeah, you talking about 85. That was the time we, that was the last time
Starting point is 00:09:49 and the first time we came in that town. Nigga, we had like 200 people show up in the beginning because it was raining and the promoter was sweating because he had to pay me, he had to pay you. And it was like another comedian. Nigga, I be down. By 20 minutes later, nigga, it's a line. It was about a thousand people last night.
Starting point is 00:10:07 It was about a thousand... In 10 minutes. In 10 minutes. And the nigga had to pull more chairs up. Nigga, we had a stupid show. It was like 1,200 people in that bitch. It was people wrapped all the way around the building. It was people wrapped around, bro,
Starting point is 00:10:18 we ain't never seen no shit. He was like, y'all just hold off for like 30 minutes. Shit just got good. Yeah, man. That was one of the best shit. I was going to say, when we had that show in Houston, they got a comedy club down there.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Then in the daytime, it's a DUI driving school. It's a DUI driving school. Wait, what? Why y'all keep getting moved for all these goddamn crazy shit? Yeah, yeah, all the way. We out here ballin'. We had a show at a college like that. All the motherfuckers who call you and you don't want to holler at them,
Starting point is 00:10:41 they be like, man, just come fuck with me. I got what you want in cash. We did a show in Memphis at a college, nigga. We went to do the show with nobody in that bitch, nigga. The nigga put us on a golf cart and took us to all the dorms on the college. We was going through the dorms, knocking on doors. Nigga's like, oh, they really came, man.
Starting point is 00:10:59 They didn't believe we was coming. They didn't believe we was coming. Nigga, by the time we got back to the auditorium to do the show, that bitch was packed. Damn. When y'all knew y'all was gonna start doing arenas, though? When we started having to do three shows in one night. Four. Four.
Starting point is 00:11:13 We had to do four. Damn, bro. And I used to really be like, I was the one that'd be like, bro, how the fuck are we gonna come up with new shit four times a day and get what these niggas do? We'll figure it out. I'm like, man, God. Dang.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah, we was, we was starting having shows at like four o'clock on a Sunday. What was that feeling like, though? Like, damn, we had made it to the arena. So y'all doing four, six, eight, ten?
Starting point is 00:11:38 Yeah. God damn. It's to the point where we're like, we having fun, but then like, we gotta be strategic now. Yeah. You see what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:11:45 It was like Alright We left We had to I like to It's just a free game I like to go in spaces Where we pack out
Starting point is 00:11:53 Versus going to spaces Where it's empty seats That's what I'm walking into Cause now it's like You You need more room So once we realized We needed more room
Starting point is 00:12:03 We was like Alright We grew with our fans. Once our fans was like, Brown, we came out here two years ago, we did one show. Next year, we doing three, four shows. Alright, we like to come to the club, but we can't come here
Starting point is 00:12:15 and do this shit full time. We got to go into the theaters. Okay, we did two theaters today. What's bigger than a theater? Now we in the ring. Yeah, I think the first one we realized was Jacksonville. When we did Jacksonville, I think that was the first real arena setting that we did because we went to Jacksonville the year before
Starting point is 00:12:34 and did like four shows in a day at the comedy club. And then we came back that next year and we kind of all was like, man, big ass spot we great do. And when we walked in that bitch and seen that motherfucker full we was like oh nigga damn this shit different like to see all of those people and you know they there to see us like that was just a different feeling like you know when you fill up an arena
Starting point is 00:12:57 like that it's a different type of energy because you know me in the comedy club it's more intimate you can you know kind of hear the response or know, kind of see how the shit is working directly with the people, communicate. But when you in that arena like that, it might take three, four seconds for the laughter to even get all the way back to you with so many people in there. That's great.
Starting point is 00:13:15 And that's why, and one thing I admire about y'all is y'all work ethic because y'all do a podcast and a show every single week on top of y'all collective 85 South and then y'all individual. How do y'all collective 85 South and then y'all individual, how do y'all like prioritize what comes first? Like, how do you manage all that?
Starting point is 00:13:32 Man with the plan. That makes sense. Because it's just so like for me, like we, you know what I'm saying, shout out to Volume. They asking us for a little bit more now. We in the situation. I'm like, how we gonna figure that out?
Starting point is 00:13:41 But I see y'all, shit, y'all on the road every day and still delivering content. Does it help overall with the show or does it like, how we gonna figure that out? But I see y'all, shit, y'all on the road every day and still delivering content. Does it help overall with the show or does it like, damn, I gotta make more shit to do this shit? Nah, it's because it's organic. It's in the moment. You can tell.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Like, we just have the type of talent and the gift where it's like, we can express ourselves in anger and it still be funny or we can come in and be in the best mood and just take this shit to another level or we can walk in like you say in these places that we describing and be like this ain't shit we gotta make it something though it's fucked up we're about to act like it ain't fucked up like we get to choose our own narrative but that crowd changes the whole
Starting point is 00:14:32 changes us the feeling like we can tell when this is a crowd that fuck with us and we can tell when it's a crowd that alright they want they want us to prove ourselves for five minutes oh they want some they came straight to okay okay, now they loose. Like, you can feel that shift when they say, okay,
Starting point is 00:14:50 I just wanted to make sure I was at the right shit. Like, you can feel what the crowd want to hear. Do y'all go off the, like, how you said that, too. Like, do y'all get the DJ going to get the crowd loose? Like, what do you do to get the crowd loose to, you know? Go ahead. We just, you know? Go ahead. We just, you know, it's like you said, it's organic. Like, when you just, the question you ask,
Starting point is 00:15:10 Los is our big brother. He's our elder. He been doing this shit longer than both of us. And he had an understanding of the game from a perspective that we kind of been blessed in the game, never had to experience. Like, he done been through the trenches in a way that, like, by the time we got all
Starting point is 00:15:25 the way in the game that style of comedy and the way that the journey that he had to take didn't even exist no more because the internet came out so him having an understanding of that side of it and having an understanding of the internet side of it he figured out a way to make this shit work to where it was organically ours we all come from all wild and out so we know what that structure looks like or the corporate structure and what it looks like to go on that side and be on something major like that but just the creation of what we do is the freedom of the fact that we don't have to know what we're going to do like that's the level of pressure that you take off yourself as a comedian or just as an entertainer in general you know i mean it's kind of like what i would think that and one is like if you're playing and one versus the league like the league is you know you got to play under the whistle and when you get to come out there and show what you
Starting point is 00:16:14 can do so this is kind of like and one in regards to the way the destruction game is we on both sides of it but when we come and do this it's just the fact that we can come out sometimes we don't see each other till we at the place we grade perform. Because we all coming from three different places. But when we come in, we ain't got to say, all right, staff meeting. All right, look, what we talking about tonight? We've never had to do that one time. It's just, all right, grab the microphones.
Starting point is 00:16:39 We can go out there and do whatever we want to do. And that's just, you know, from Lowe's having an understanding of the game and us just being having the talent to be able to blend. And that's just, you know, from Lowe's having an understanding of the game and us just being, having the talent to be able to blend it to where it just looked like we'd be doing this shit every day, practicing when we show up and do these shows. That's because I feel like we interpret.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Like, we get to go out and we get to just hear all the shit that other people can't say. Right. And we just have to interpret it for our crowd. Right. Like, we know the shit. Like, you got a job.
Starting point is 00:17:09 You can't afford to say shit and lose your job. They gotta come to your job and say that shit. Right. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, we have to kind of be the voice of the people. And they don't even know how much of an influence of our style of comedy that they are. Like, sometimes we get off stage and we be like, bro, did you see this shit?
Starting point is 00:17:29 Man, you got to talk about this shit. Not as, not like, don't talk about it from the 85 South perspective. Talk about it how you would talk about it at your show. Like, you telling your crowd. Because we all got individual crowds. And they all come to our individual shows and they let us know man i called chico called dc i had to come see you or you know i'm saying vice versa so these people tell us exactly what to say what to do what type
Starting point is 00:17:57 of show they want to see because we we put these shows out every week and we see them what they respond to like we could easily go out there and do our sets or do a set or give them stand-up comedy. But they want to see us be stand-up comedians, the guys they know from Wild N' Out, and the guys they sent on the internet. They want us to, all right, fuck them jokes. Do something, man. Chico, make up a song, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:18:23 I bought this ticket just to see y'all rap. Y'all been, fuck all this laughing and joking. We came to see a song, man. Chico, make up a song, my nigga. I bought this ticket just to see y'all rap, y'all. Fuck all this laughing and joking. We came to see a song, nigga. Talk about the potatoes. Talk about them hoes. Bro, you don't see them up there pointing them out like, hey, she been acting up before y'all got out here. Like, that's the type of shit they want to see.
Starting point is 00:18:38 So we're just doing a great job of interpreting that. And that's a good way you said it, man. Like, y'all are legitimate entertainers. Like, outside of y'all being copped, like, y'all, you can tell it's organic. Like, it man Like y'all are Legitimate entertainers Like outside of y'all Being like y'all You can tell it's organic Like the way that y'all Be starting them songs off You would think
Starting point is 00:18:49 That shit been written But I could tell You get to freestyle And I'd be like That shit's crazy Like them niggas Just thought that shit up And it's amazing
Starting point is 00:18:54 He the coldest freestyler Nah for real He the coldest freestyler This nigga music IQ Is fucking I was just about to It's off the charts How the fuck
Starting point is 00:19:05 Do you be remembering all Those fucking songs I thought I was a historian nigga You different Yeah it's you know I don't know to be honest with you It might be a slight form of autism to be honest It gotta be
Starting point is 00:19:19 Shout out to the autistic community Like if we had to write a classical Music song I'm going to get Chico If we had to write a classical music song i'm going to get chico if we ran a country record a pop record jazz what this man fuck with every genre i heard bro do that twister yeah i mean that's that's you know just growing up that was something that was given to me from the dudes that influenced me my father got killed so all of my you know influences from the dudes that influenced me. My father got killed. So all of my, you know, influences was the dudes around my uncles and the niggas I grew up around in the streets. And I would just, you know, take to whatever they was into and whatever I saw them think was cool, I thought was cool. And I would want to impress them. You know, it was kind
Starting point is 00:19:57 of like looking for validation from the people I wanted to give me, you know, the love that I wasn't getting from, you know, not having my pops around. And that kind of what created the love for the music. Then my Uncle Ricky, a DJ. So I would go down to his room in the basement and this nigga would just sit and just play me records all day long. Like, and he would mix and scratch his records. So that's, and then my Aunt Mary had a big record collection. And when she cleaned up on the weekend, she would let me sit down and go through the record
Starting point is 00:20:21 collection. And I would just pick what I wanted to hear based off of what the cover of the album looked like. So it was just all the way. And that's like that musical inclination because like this nigga can't nobody freestyle better than this nigga. Like me with the musical inclination of being able to coming up with it. And this nigga is one of the most talented niggas in the world when it comes to this. He's like a Swiss Army knife.
Starting point is 00:20:44 This nigga know how to do a little bit of everything good. Like, play the drums, skateboard, cut hair. You know what I mean? All types of shit. So when this nigga get to, like, when you put that together, you can't lose. You know what I mean? Because he gonna be able
Starting point is 00:20:59 to sing this shit in a way to where you would think that this nigga's gonna go in the studio and put this shit out, but this is happening right in front of your eyes. Can I ask you a question? I seen this nigga do when that nigga was skiing down that big ass fucking mountain. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:21:15 This nigga can ski his ass off. He can do everything, man. I'm talking about down some hills where, listen, before you go down the slope, I'm like, I'm tripping. Fuck it. 50 miles per hour. Bro, but he's stroking. We need the footage. hills where, listen, before you go down the slope, I'm like, I'm tripping. Fuck it. 50 miles per hour. Bro, but he's stroking that.
Starting point is 00:21:31 He's stroking that bitch. Don't tell her. I may fall once or twice. But that's for me to get them know the mountain. Once I know the mountain, I'm like, bet, I'm finna come back up here. Niggas say get to know the mountain. Oh, you got to. Because nature, you got to respect it. If I'm finna come down this mountain, I ain't finna come down this mountain like, oh, I'm in on a mountain. Oh, you got to. Because nature, you got to respect it. I mean, because I grew up in music since a child. You was in the choir and shit? I grew up in church choir. I grew up in, I played all type of instruments. I played all the percussion.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I'm a percussionist. Me too. So you play percussion? We're from the same lineage. So you play same? And my mama old and a motherfucker. And I'm the youngest out of 10 kids. So you know what time it is. We're on the same lineage So you play set And my mama Older than a motherfucker And I'm the youngest Out of ten kids So you know what time it is
Starting point is 00:25:27 We on the same type of time So you know what's up You're the youngest Out of ten Out of ten I'm the youngest out of seven My mama coochie Hanging off the side of her leg
Starting point is 00:25:35 Boy you better not Stop talking about Your mama coochie like that Hey mama I'm sorry That nigga disrespected Like that She sit right there My coochie
Starting point is 00:25:42 Hanging off the side of my leg Disrespectful Who she really is And she just sitting there Like that's disrespectful like that. She sit right there, my coochie. She lay on the side of my leg. Disrespectful. Who else she really is when she just sitting there like, that's my baby. Tell them how old your oldest sibling is. 60. His brother older than yours. Your oldest brother is my baby oldest brother.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah, you a grand, what you say you a grand brother? Oh, yeah, I got a grand brother. My oldest brother. I'll call that nigga right now. You got to be about 60 seconds. Nah, but I come from that. You got to watch out for them church drummers. My mama, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I'm a drummer too, by nature. We have a battle every week. He thinks future the GOAT and I say Jay-Z the GOAT. You the music man. And I say Jay-Z the GOAT. You the music, man. I would love to know. All right, please. Hey, Kurt. How old you here, man?
Starting point is 00:26:34 67. 67. Okay. Shout out to OG Kurt. Shout out to OG Kurt. That nigga said 67. 67? He said how old you with?
Starting point is 00:26:45 This nigga talking about Future and Jay-Z, what I'm saying is that's just who I prefer. I respect Jay-Z whole catalog. What you just say? Nah, he said
Starting point is 00:26:54 we had a show one time he was like, Future the GOAT, man. And I was like, he better than Jay. He was like, hell yeah. Ain't nobody
Starting point is 00:27:01 fucking with that. To me, and I love, I respect music for sure. Jay-Z, so far as lyric music for sure. Jay-Z, so far as lyricists, give me Jay-Z. I'm just talking about
Starting point is 00:27:09 Future. Hold on though. To me, Future helped that whole Atlanta. I see my hands going. I'm getting my thoughts together. No, I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:27:19 Future to me helped that whole, like now, it's more niggas like Future than it is niggas like hoes. You don't believe that. Retweet. Rapping? You don't even believe that. Rapping? Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:27:32 I know you don't believe that. I'm not. He's making it a thing. I'm not. And then you explain the other side. No, I'm saying they making it seem like. Are you saying best in. To me, bro. Because why do we as a community have to put somebody better than i'm not i don't icon why do we do that we don't have to what i'm telling y'all niggas personally who i prefer
Starting point is 00:27:53 i'm listening in the future before i can respect your preference your preference is your preference that's my preference you gotta preface that because you can have like me. I got a personal top five, and then I got a top five that is, you know, the top five based on statistical categories and the way everything. So that top five is a little different than my personal top five. You know what I mean? But as far as like if you're comparing the two, that's unfair to Future. And absolutely I'm not. He just be on me.
Starting point is 00:28:25 He tell me I gas Future too much. I don't. Imaginary Players by Jay-Z is my favorite song by Jay-Z. I just name five of the most opposite-ass things that they said just to piss them off. Right. They be dead serious. You just like him. Kha'Zix, Lil Wayne, Nas.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I be like, man. Me and him got a beef when it comes to my top five. Go crazy. Who your shit? My top five. Let's hear it. My top five? For sure.
Starting point is 00:28:52 I'm from the South. So I understand where you may be coming from. I'm a T.I. For sure. This is my top five. Shout out to Tip Pauls. T.I. all day. I know almost every word, song, like, song, word for word. Urban Legend's top five Shout out to Tip Pauls T.I. All day I know almost every word Song
Starting point is 00:29:05 Like song Word for word Urban Legend Top five album Feel Mob Feel Mob Yeah that's crazy Outkast
Starting point is 00:29:14 Outkast out the gate Eminem Ooh And That's a nasty ass five Ooh Feel Mob to M It's crazy
Starting point is 00:29:23 It's between It's between A Joe DeBreeze or Lil Boosie for the last five. Yeah, that's a wild five. That's a wild five. That's a personal top five. It's a personal. I respect that. That inspired my musical talent, why I'm like.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Why you a jabberwocky and all that other shit. I understand. But I'm saying, like, you're not going to judge his top five. I don't listen to none of them. That's what I'm trying to tell you. But that's why we got to say preference or mobile status in the game. I don't be trying. Right, because he always.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Let me hear your playlist. Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Drake, and Lil Wayne. That's his top five. But ask him about his playlist because it don't pass 2008. Oh, yeah. I don't listen to nothing. Heavy Boosie, Heavy Webby.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Yeah. You come to my house and it's a party. I'm stuck in 2007 and below. See, when we come to music, we got to say, okay, your top five that you like and then you got a playlist
Starting point is 00:30:20 that you listen to. I'm going to be one hunter. I don't even listen to none of them. Who I just named unless I'm just on that you listen to. I'm going to be one of them. I don't need to listen to none of them. Who I just named unless I'm just on that type of time. My everyday, I'm R&B'd out.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Out the gate. I got a list for you when we leave. 18 hours, I got you. R&B'd out. Trash. 18 hours. And motivational speeches.
Starting point is 00:30:40 I got a little bit of that too. Say no more. I got a little bit of that too. Who's your motivational speeches? I'd love to hear that don't do that don't do that don't do that
Starting point is 00:30:46 Chico Chico who you who your top three we do your top three top three what my personal top three rappers rappers
Starting point is 00:30:53 top three you don't get five yeah I don't even get five nigga said fuck the last you can do your five not do your five I'm just you know my personal top five
Starting point is 00:31:00 rappers Pop Pimp C Scarface Twista Master P rappers, Pop, Pimp C, Scarface, Twista, Master P. Don't get them started on Master P. Everybody got a whole different top five.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Go crazy. The lineages are different. One thing I got to say too, I saw you on T-Pain's podcast. Dude, you doing that performance was crazy to me. Going back to you, just remember, that was crazy to me. Like, going back to you, just remembering, like, that was crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:31:27 That was my mama's favorite song. Like, that's how I would always know when a nigga would break up with my mama. Like, she would play that song in the morning, mad, whatever situation she had going on, and that's the song she would play.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Superwoman, you know what I'm saying? So I played that at my mother's funeral. But it's like as far as me like remembering music it only take me two or three times of listening to a song at least be able to get the first to where if i'm listening to it you wouldn't think that i only listened to it three times it's just the way the shit registered in my mind you know what i mean but as far as as far as like what i listen to every, man, you wouldn't know who the phone belonged to if you looked at my playlist.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I listen to all types. And it's crazy because one genre I never listened to was gospel music. Never? Never. We grew up on that. Nah, we was... Donnie McClure, too?
Starting point is 00:32:21 Oh, you're good, man. I mean, that commercial stuff, yeah, but we ain't... Richie Diller? Y'all gotta be like that. Nah, we was... Down in McClurgton? We was... I mean, that commercial stuff, yeah, but we ain't... Richie Diller? Y'all gotta be like that. Nah, for real. Like, it was a, you know, the Bean household was full of heathens, nigga. Like, it was all... It was all...
Starting point is 00:32:34 I'm talking about the bullshit in regards to the messaging and the music. That's what we... I didn't listen to gospel music. Like, I didn't hear something about the name Jesus until 2019 for the first time. Damn. Like, and that shit was like... Smokey Norfolk? Yeah, they used to lock up.
Starting point is 00:32:49 But, like, that gives me the opportunity. It's like I've been introduced to a new genre of music as a grown man. Like, I just watched the Kirk Franklin documentary. And that's... It's like I'm looking at a new artist. I had no idea this nigga had 19 Grammys. I know Stomp and that type of shit. but I had no idea that Kirk Franklin was,
Starting point is 00:33:09 this nigga is, his music got to be what Christians fuck to. Like, that got to be. Hey, man, I can't believe it. Like, for real, like, bro, like, what do the, you ever thought about that? Like, what do Christians, like, do they have? Yeah, like, you gotta fuck this. What the coochies say? You know what I mean? So, what do questions, like, do they have? Yeah, like, you got to fuck this. What the coochie say? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:33:28 So. What the coochie say? So you might catch me. You might catch me listening to y'all niggas. I'm trying not to laugh at you. Someone rub my breasts this time. Slow down. Time to reveal.
Starting point is 00:33:48 I do not agree with that. Hold on, though. I'm like, G-Spot in the G for Jesus. G-Spot for Jesus. G-Spot in the G for Jesus. I'm going to stop right there. You got to let my fucking face out, nigga. Stop.
Starting point is 00:34:02 But, you know, just the, I think that the musical influence of all of us, like we all, like this nigga didn't put me on the shit. This nigga didn't put me on the shit. We didn't all put each other, like this nigga put me onto a song by a nigga named Methrone called "'Loving Each Other For Life." Might listen to this shit for two and a half hours straight.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Non-stop, back to back, big. That's the beauty of music to me. No matter how old that shit is, you ain't never heard it. You don't even know a third of it. It's so much that you ain't never heard before. So I got a question. I know y'all at DC said we shouldn't compare.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Just what y'all prefer. Cash, money, or no limit? Nah. That's a trick question. That's a trick question, dog. Because you got to understand the era and what both teams have done. You got to understand because. Not only just for New Orleans.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Okay. Because no limit did a lot for Snoop. Shout out to the Lenny's. You feel me? You shouldn't have to pick. You really disrespectful as a motherfucker For asking us this question You can't pick that
Starting point is 00:35:07 I'm not That's some disrespectful shit It's hard because I said who you prefer I didn't say who better It depends on what day it is You can't pick between no limit and cash money I'ma give you
Starting point is 00:35:17 It depends on your age limit If you a young nigga You are a cash money nigga But if you a older nigga You gonna pick no limit Because cash money is a But if you are older nigga, you gonna pick No Limit because cash money is a younger version of a No Limit. That's a fact. That's all. You know. I ain't rolling
Starting point is 00:35:32 but I'll go with it. I'm letting you know as a 40-year-old black man. Yes, sir. When Cash Money Records took over for the 99 in the 2000, I was the niggas he was talking to.
Starting point is 00:35:47 My generation made them babies off them songs. Do you know that there are 23, 24, 25 year old people walking around right now because of my generation's irresponsibility during the summer of the 99 in the
Starting point is 00:36:03 2000? Speak, Lose. Them the 2000s. Speak, Los. Speak. Them babies right now are 22, 23. Them my homeboys kids. Them my classmates offsprings. Them girls who was pregnant at the football game. I'm cash money. That's because they was backing that ass up that whole summer.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I don't think no limit got memories like that. Look how you speaking. I'm not telling you what I heard. Look how you speaking. But I also was there when all the bad bitches in the club had a No Limit tattoo right there on that thigh
Starting point is 00:36:30 by them coaches. Come on, man. I remember being a young nigga. My partner still got true tattoos. I remember being a young nigga the first time I heard Swamp Niggas. We was in my man Matt Baseman. We was in Matt Baseman, man.
Starting point is 00:36:42 I heard it when it was new. Matt, brother. They didn't have no commercial, no promo for that shit. You just had to listen to the whole album. Because Swamp Nigga won the last song. Won the last song on the HLHTRU album. But Matt, brother. It was two tapes.
Starting point is 00:36:56 He was in the streets. Two CDs. He had all of the different music and shit. So we used to sneak downstairs and listen to all the music. And when that Swamp Niggas came up, I was like, nigga, what the fuck is this? And that nigga, man, you couldn't tell us
Starting point is 00:37:11 that nigga wasn't an ice cream man. That nigga is the only nigga that nigga that was the ice cream man, man. That was a moment in no other history that made the world stop. And there was a lyric.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Who? When that nigga Mystical said, I'm the lightning in bad wealth. I'm that nigga on that picture on your girlfriend's dresser. Come on, mama. That was hard. Everybody in they mama's city. That was hard. No, that was hard.
Starting point is 00:37:41 That's a classic line. I wouldn't fuck with this song like that till I heard that. Nigga, when you would buy a No Limit CD, you would look in the book and see all of them albums that's coming out. You don't know who none of them niggas was, but you was buying that shit. Yeah, I had them CD books. Nigga, I remember I went and tried to get my mama to buy me Skullduggery. Nigga, I didn't know what the fuck Skullduggery was,
Starting point is 00:38:02 but I wanted that shit. You wanted it because of the graphic because the graphic design was hard. That's why niggas wanted it. No limit, bro. Skullduggery, my nigga. I wanted that skullduggery. Niggas wanted that. And on the bottom where they said, on the way, they had a list of 85 niggas you had never heard before.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Man, you ain't never heard of, but they was selling it. I believed in them because people believed in them. Exactly. So you can't make that choice, man. That's hard. I respect it. Because I grew up on cash money, but I know no limit was no limit. No limit gave us hope.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Cash money made us feel like we already had money. We felt like we had money with them. Yeah. But Master P reminded us that we hood niggas. I'm from the projects. I grew up on eggs. And luncheon meat. This shit is forever in us.
Starting point is 00:38:50 That's fire, man. You see it? Yeah, oh, God. That nigga know every word. You can't tell me. I feel like C-Murda is my brother, too. That's how deep I am in these no-litter streets. Yeah, definitely free C-Murda. But I'm also a cash money hot boy, too.
Starting point is 00:39:05 What y'all thought about BG getting out? Come on. Man, definitely free C-Money. But I'm also a cash money hot boy, too. What y'all thought about BG getting out? Come on. Man, I'm excited. About time. He should have been out three years ago. I almost said free BG.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Hot boy, I'm glad you're home. Hell yeah, welcome home, Jizzle. Yeah. He should be home, stress-free. No paperwork or nothing. I had a question since you asked it. I got to ask you
Starting point is 00:39:21 as an ex-NBA player, as somebody that played on the highest level, what's your opinion on the Jordan LeBron debate? He went Jordan, so there you go. I mean, it don't matter. You know what I mean? Jordan LeBron.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Jordan, like, he over there. He don't exist really to me. He like unbelievable. He can't even be talked about. Like, it's like LeBron, then you start talking about everybody. But, like, Jordan is on. So, like, Jordan like a Michael Jackson. Yeah, you don't even talk about him.
Starting point is 00:39:52 You can't compare him. No, you can't compare him. You can always compare LeBron to Jordan because he's the greatest, but Jordan is like, I usher Chris Brown. Like, you'll be great over here. Yeah. Just like that. It's like Michael Jackson.
Starting point is 00:40:05 We from Indiana, so Michael Jackson definitely over there. See, that's how good Michael Jordan is. We all grown ass men and we still know that. Like, you wouldn't say the wrong in this podcast and let Mike hear it. When I see that nigga. Sort of got why I got this shirt on.
Starting point is 00:40:21 But the thing though with LeBron, you believe Mike and Hoop today. But this is the But the thing, though, with LeBron, you believe Mike and Hoop to date. But this is the thing, what I had to respect with LeBron, when you look at stats, this motherfucker's in top three, everything. Everything.
Starting point is 00:40:35 He got the most buckets ever. You cannot, you cannot say he's not the greatest. He may not be the most entertaining. Yeah. LeBron. Nah, that nigga, whole game. No, it's cool, He's not the greatest He may not be the most entertaining Yeah LeBron Nah that nigga Old game
Starting point is 00:40:48 No it's cool But see when I say entertaining I'm a dog bro Like I'm one of the ones That got that like The Russell Westbrook Energy
Starting point is 00:40:56 John Morant All that John Like that's me Like you got control To own this entire What LeBron did was He took it by storm Of business I know how to control this As a business Absolutely Onceron did was he took it by storm of business.
Starting point is 00:41:05 I know how to control this as a business. Once you know how to control it as a business, use it as a marketing tool to be like, okay, let me go get all the dollars. I'm not going to get all the dollars because I play good. I'm going to get all the dollars because one of you niggas is going to get on
Starting point is 00:41:21 a postcard today. We're going to make that exciting. That nigga got stats and everything. That nigga pulled a top. Nah, that nigga got everything. Rebound. Like I said, he's top three everything. Everything.
Starting point is 00:41:33 But I like Electrify. He unbelievable because the role he had to take is different. Man, that's what I'm saying. I respect Jordan. I watched Jordan as a young nigga. He earned my respect you know i mean jordan is like you said he's a godlike figure but that nigga ain't had to do what bron had to do they've been watching bron says this nigga was in the sixth grade
Starting point is 00:41:55 this nigga that mentality to be the next greatest since the sixth grade and held that up for 30 years talking about time and you? You gotta think, Brown look up to Jordan, like, he look at Jordan like, damn. Everybody does. Yeah, that's why I just put him over there. Yeah, but everybody does. Jordan Stock came back and showed y'all niggas how to do this shit, man.
Starting point is 00:42:17 That's why I just put him over there, because it's like we all look up to Jordan. I mean, everybody did. You know what I mean? I guess it's a little different for me because Iverson is my personal goat. Mine's too. That's my personal goat. When Iverson had more of an impact on me as a young nigga playing ball than any basketball player or any athlete, him as an athlete had more impact on not just me, my community.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Niggas wanted to be like AI. He from that area. They always say niggas want to be like Mike, and that's true, but not the way we want to be like. We want to be like AI. Nigga, we all wear Jordans. I love Jordans, but I ain't never wanted to wear pair of them jeans.
Starting point is 00:42:59 I never wanted to. Y'all talking about off-the-court shit. Does that not encompass the debate? And does that not encompass why you know you got to put that? Because we never got to see Mike in this era. Could you imagine you know how they say Mike B. Curran, niggas?
Starting point is 00:43:16 I don't know if you ever met Mike before, but I never heard Mike be talking to niggas. Mike would talk shit to you. Mike be calling you a bitch ass He calling you a bitch ass nigga. Yeah, he walk off. Sound like a Kevin Darnan type player. Iverson changed the game though. Mike can talk bad to you.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Mike can talk bad. What you say? Mike be talking bad. Mike can call you a hoe ass nigga and walk off. He'll call you a hoe and walk off. And you gonna take it. You didn't know that shit? I mean, Carl.
Starting point is 00:43:40 You see how he did? A.R. when he said the first time he met him. Said, what's up you little bitch? Yeah, that's a true story. I said that out of his mouth. But what if Michael joined people from New Orleans and that's just how they talk?
Starting point is 00:43:49 What's up, little bitch? Yeah, that's what Kevin Gates said. That's how he just talked to motherfuckers. When you been, bitch. You should just say Kevin Gates. I wouldn't say that.
Starting point is 00:43:56 I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that at all. Y'all act like y'all don't know niggas from Florida and Louisiana. All right, so- He told me to take off his shoes
Starting point is 00:44:05 one game. I had put on some Bordeaux 7s to hoop in the game trying to impress him. Like, damn, maybe if I hoop in some Jordans I get a Jordan deal.
Starting point is 00:44:12 No. He like, hey, motherfucker, who told you you can wear them? Hey, can you get my other shoes out the back?
Starting point is 00:44:19 Testing his game? You know what I'm saying? You talking about in the real game? While you were in the NBA? Yeah. How did that feel when a nigga
Starting point is 00:44:24 you look up to tell you, who the fuck? Yeah. While you were in the NBA? Yeah. How did that feel when a nigga you look up to tell you, who the fuck told your bitch ass to put them shoes on? Shit, I got nervous. I'm like, get my other shoes out the back. He know you got them on now? Yeah. He got PTSD.
Starting point is 00:44:36 He ain't never say I was just playing. Nah, he did. He was like, why you take them off? I was like, you said take them off. He was like, man, this motherfucker. See, I wouldn't be able to take them off. Yeah, I was like. I'm sorry. You respect y'all niggas. I'm sorry, man. I'm like, you said take him off. He was like, man, this motherfucker. I wouldn't be able to take that. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:44:45 I'm sorry, man. I'm about to say something back. You bitch ass nigga. Fuck your jeans, nigga. I hope the wind don't blow. You gonna fly away for real, nigga. Nah, he love Jordan, though. Fat jean wearing motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:45:01 But then what I'm saying, though. LeBron is the goat of today's era yeah and I don't see I don't see nobody beating him no time was these niggas
Starting point is 00:45:11 y'all favorite players or did y'all like low key niggas growing up you know some niggas like man I fuck with Melo oh man oh yeah Melo I mean

Starting point is 00:45:41 Ain't no nigga that I would last night play for us. Travis Bass. Travis Best? Travis Best. My bad. I'm thinking it's my bad. Oh, that's a filthy nigga. Yeah, I fuck with Travis Best. That's a wild boy. You know what I mean? It's a bunch of players.

Listen to the Fantasy Footballers Dynasty podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. He said he'd rather have $50 million in a championship Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts he said
Starting point is 00:48:45 he'd rather have 50 million in a championship instead of 100 million and I won a championship but I had a saying when we first started the show I was like fuck a championship give me a max deal he rebutted with the 50 million ring or whatever
Starting point is 00:49:01 how y'all feel about that? I feel like it take away from the dog. I'm a guy who like to see dog fight. That's why I feel like the older era was more such of a tougher era because they was dog fighting to win them championships.
Starting point is 00:49:19 The people who Michael Jordan had done stopped like a Charles Barkley, they was some elite players. Yeah. They was some. Everybody can kind of take a turn now to get a championship because niggas ain't dogs. Nah, I don't agree.
Starting point is 00:49:32 They trying to go to this team to win the championship and go to that team. And I fuck it. Since I ain't going to win the championship, give me the money. And then I play barely because I'm already paid. Nah, that ain't true. Hold on, DC. Everybody be wanting to win. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:47 But, nigga, it's a time situation. You know, like, you ain't going to, like, nigga, you know your team. I ain't saying I ain't going to get the money. Like, no offense, like,
Starting point is 00:49:56 I just feel like niggas don't want champions. We got the Hawks right now. Trey Young and DeJounte, you look, you be like, we can win, but we probably ain't going to beat. They got to build a team around them.
Starting point is 00:50:06 You can't just put two people over there. So do you not take your money? No, I ain't say take my money. Eventually, the fight for the championship is going to rub off, and that's all you're going to care about. Three, four, six years, you don't win no championship? Fuck it. I'm going to be good enough to get it back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Cool. They're like, damn, bro, you don't want to take your team to the championship? I just need the money first, then I'll go get the championship. What you got to be good enough to get it back. Yeah. Cool. They're like, damn, bro. You don't want to take it to the championship? I just need the money first, then I'll go get the championship. What you got to say, Paul? I hear Carlos. I'm taking the money. And I'm going to just buy me a ring for every fucking time. A lot of these.
Starting point is 00:50:35 I'm going to bring this conversation up. I'm going to get my own. Yeah, because a lot of these niggas are selling their rings. Because the goal ain't the fuck. The goal is to get there. What if you stuck in one of them fucked up situations where you the best player on the worst team? No matter what the fuck you do, they never gonna win the
Starting point is 00:50:49 championship. You don't have the shit you need to be a championship team. That's the most important part. Would you say Damian Lillard's not a dog? Damian Lillard's a dog. He's a dog. There's gonna be plenty of dogs that never win a championship. Charles Barkley, one of the best players that never's a dog. He's a dog. There's going to be plenty of dogs that never win a championship.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Charles Barkley, one of the best players that never won a championship. And you can't deny the shit he did. They need to bring me somebody. What's the reality? He probably ain't going to win a championship if he stay in Portland. But I wouldn't say he won a dog or he ain't competitive. So what you're saying is take less money to go win a championship over here? I wouldn't do that.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Versus him staying over here. Be like, nah, because nigga, I built the franchise. I run this gym. This is my gym. So you agreeing with us? No. I'm not taking the bag. I'm taking comfortability.
Starting point is 00:51:32 This is my gym. Yeah, well you up for it. I run this shit. No, no. I'm the best player on this fucking team.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Think of how many people want a championship that nobody gives a fuck about. Retweet. Listen, you said retweet. Think of how many people want a championship that nobody gives a fuck about. It's going Listen. You said retweet. How many people want a championship?
Starting point is 00:51:46 Nobody gives a fuck about. It's going to be like, you want a championship? We had niggas on my ass when I said that. That's close. I don't say niggas' names. But listen. But niggas really don't fucking. Listen.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Shout out to them. Y'all was great players. But you don't even remember them niggas that won them championships. You can have great names. But until the champions say, shut the fuck up. You got to shut the fuck up. Not when I'm up 100 million. I don't care how much you up.
Starting point is 00:52:06 You still champion. I played in the same league. You just got lucky. You would never be a champion. And you probably wasn't even a reason why y'all won. You got all the money in the world. But you would never be a champion. You don't know what that feel like.
Starting point is 00:52:17 You ain't never had confetti hit you. You know what this nigga said. That's why I'm hard. That's my perspective on it. I think the numbers is funny in that argument. When a nigga say, I take 50 million over 100 million. Wait, fuck that ring. I got 50 million extra dollars.
Starting point is 00:52:43 I got 50 million extra dollars. And DC from the shit talking about motherfucking bullshit. Man, if you plan... They go to another team and they offer it. You talking about a nigga who's a franchise of somewhere. I'm not leaving. No, you missing
Starting point is 00:52:57 a point. Nigga said in general. No, you have to set up the circumstance this is about business he told you didn't say that he only gave me the deal he never said what team i played for my circumstance because it's business and so it's not business in what business do you take 50 million dollars over a hundred i'm speaking in dang dang term i'm not gonna go take 50 over that when i'm a man here give me my hundred, and we'll build us a team and win.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Fuck you. You've been the man for 50. We don't got shit else. Do what you've been doing or go find somebody. Because did he not take the trailblazers? How far did they go? Nah, because it's finals. It's levels to rings.
Starting point is 00:53:41 We shouldn't have this much. Hold on, Chico. Let Chico get his shit on. It's levels to rings. It's level to rings. We shouldn't have this much. Hold on, Chico. Let Chico get his shit going. It's levels to rings. Like, it's level to rings. So if you take 50, you know what I'm saying? If you take $50 million, if you take $50 million to win a ring, and you could have got $100 million to play in a market where,
Starting point is 00:54:00 after your career, you're going to be able to flourish in that market after you've leave the market, but you went and took $50 million to win a championship in Milwaukee. It's a difference in regards to the way that you win championships and the way that you get money in the NBA from my perspective. I ain't never been before, but you can attest to this. That's what I'm saying. Did Boston win the championship?
Starting point is 00:54:25 I get $100 million. Okay. Taylor just got $250. What? Hold on. You say who? You got what? He got $250. Chico, this is what you're about to say.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Hold on, D.C. What if that $250 ain't got shit to do with basketball? Out the gate. That's what I'm saying. I ain't saying that. This nigga talking about champagne showers and shit. At the end of the day, when y'all niggas retire, my fucker gonna say, bro, I made $250. All right. But you check this out. That's what I'm saying Shows the shit 50 over 100 to win a ring that's gonna be one them rings that niggas gonna talk about in 20 years But I'm going to tell you. Are we dealing with cap space? Hold up, hold up. We doing this shit all wrong. DC played 2K. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:55:05 I'm speaking business. We doing this shit all wrong. Why don't we just say it's Jim? I'm telling y'all. He got the ring. He'll tell you. I would never turn down money for a ring. That's what the boy down to.
Starting point is 00:55:16 It don't matter. At the end of the day, not to shout him out like that, but Antoine Walker, he won a ring. But when we talk about him, we talk about he lost his money or whatever. So I'm never going to ask him out. Because he didn't win a ring in one of them places that. He won it in Miami. We love Antoine. But on what team?
Starting point is 00:55:34 With Shaq and. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Like, to be able to take $50 million to get one of those rings. If I'm a nigga like Antoine Walker, I'd take the $50 million. Because I done already made 190 200. but i'm not taking it so i'm not saying he was saying i'm not taking 50 million y'all doing circumstantial we talking about
Starting point is 00:55:57 50 is all you get oh no that don't yeah like that ain't no oh okay i'm thinking that's what the argument was you may tell me That ain't nah. Oh, okay. I'm thinking that's what the argument was. I got my whole career. I can make 50 with a ring or 100 with no ring. What the fuck, nigga? Because I'm the nigga that's going to make money off my 50.
Starting point is 00:56:17 I'm thinking people don't make all that money because they're blowing that shit anyway. We're going to take your situation, for example. You went to the Hawks. They paid you good. all that money because they blowing that shit anyway nah we're going to take your situation for example you went to the Hawks they paid you good you went to NL
Starting point is 00:56:30 they paid you good you went and got your ring with the Bucs you settled for what you wanted that was a great team you know what it feel like
Starting point is 00:56:38 to be a cheapie yeah but you can have that conversation if I had $50 to go somewhere else I would have been like here you go you would have gave it up hell have had that conversation. If it was $50 to go somewhere else, I would have been like, here you go. You would have gave it up? Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:48 See, that's the fucking game. Don't get distracted by the fucking prizes. Yeah. I need to try and take care of his family. What about his, right? Like he said, he told a story like these motherfuckers would say, hey, tomorrow your ass out of here. Man, you got a minimum window to make as much money as you can. So how about this?
Starting point is 00:57:04 You got a minimum window, right? But they only giving out these contracts maybe like three, four years. You're not getting no eight-year contracts. It ain't like baseball. All right, I'm going to give you three-year 50 mil, right? You go over here and win this. I'm going to do this to set up for the 150 for the next four. See, we got to get there, though.
Starting point is 00:57:19 We got to win. We got to win. That's what I'm saying. If I took the 50 and we won it, and we win, now we still speaking hypothetically? Let's keep speaking. We won the champion. I got a good example for you. I'm going to another team to get my money.
Starting point is 00:57:31 The year that they won the chip, they played the Nets, right? They had Kyrie and KD. If it wasn't for that little centimeter of KD hitting that shot, them niggas don't go to the finals. If Kyrie don't touch his ankle, they don't win no championship. That's what you saying? No. No, I'm don't touch his ankle, they don't win no championship. That's what you saying. No. No, I'm serious.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Okay. No, they beat us by 51 games. They was going to probably win the chip. Okay. But you can't gauge that. Right. Shit happens in the NBA. That's some injury shit.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Right. You can guarantee that money, though. And then the thing is, you win a ring. That's the only thing you got left. That's a perfect example. Like, KD, my nigga, I love KD. Like, that's my favorite player in the NBA now. And that nigga went and run them rings, and everybody is like, nigga,
Starting point is 00:58:08 well, you went and cheated for two years to win the rings, nigga. You went over there and cheated. And it's like, what difference do it make if they're going to chastise the ring? They can't chastise the 100 million. Right. They can never. That's the only difference. They know the money.
Starting point is 00:58:21 They can never. Hey, but you're a champion. They can never chastise the money. But when you win that ring, nigga, they going to immediately chastise the ring. Once you win the ring, they were like, well, if it wasn't for this, and if it wasn't for that, and if it wasn't for this. But when I go to the bank, that $100 million is $100 million. Whether I got a ring or if I ain't got no fingers, that bitch still a $100 million.
Starting point is 00:58:43 You'll never have a green day. Give me Carmelo Anthony career on and off the court. You'll never have a green jacket. Fuck that green jacket. I'll go buy one. They sell rings and punch And they sell them weak ass green jackets. You can probably buy
Starting point is 00:58:57 some rings and a jacket. That's because they ain't financially do what they supposed to do. That's what a lot of niggas do. So now we in the NBA. I just got more money for the money. I got $100 million and $50 million. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:59:10 So right now we in the NBA because we in the highest. This is the highest level. We in the NBA just for the money now. Nah. The money going to come. Nah, niggas compete. They want to win, but I'm just saying. But that's where the compete come from.
Starting point is 00:59:22 For the money, you don't compete. I'm trying to get 100 million more than you. It ain't boxing, nigga. It ain't boxing. Honestly, it's not boxing, bro. You got to use not boxing. It's five or four other niggas you got to play with. If you ain't doing your job, but I'm doing mine.
Starting point is 00:59:36 Like, it's 400. I'm going to be 100 from a nigga that's on the outside looking in. I get mad when y'all niggas get paid all that money and don't show the fuck up. I'm like, this fuck nigga getting 450,000 a game. Bitch had a nigga and he scored 12 points. I slapped his ass.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Because you don't even know. He's like, this nigga making a million. Give him the ball. Yeah. That's what the ultra does. That's what I was just about to say. You have been around long enough to understand, nigga. A lot of niggas, bro, is out here really playing for individual contracts, nigga.
Starting point is 01:00:01 If my team is sad, nigga, I'm trying to average 25 because I know me averaging 25 is going to guarantee me a max deal, bro. I'm trying to tell you, so why would I get mad at the nigga who making more money than me? I ain't sure, though.
Starting point is 01:00:13 We ain't getting mad at you. You know what I'm finna do? Ball. Take my team to the chip to show you, hey, man, renegotiate their contract. That ain't what they paying you for.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Yeah. That ain't what they paying you for. You gotta understand. So you telling me my contract ain't... they paying you for. That ain't what they paying you for. You got to understand. So you telling me my contract saying I'm only making money to do a specific thing. They brought that nigga here to do one thing. Rebound. If you get 30 points, bitch, we brought you to rebound. You saying you a pleb.
Starting point is 01:00:40 You a Camelot? You got the same opportunity. When you get behind and you want to shoot, you be like, ah. No. That's an NBA. That was real life. They be like, hey, you want to get the ball to Joe Johnson, John Smith, Al Horford, Marvin Williams, run to the goal. You know what I mean? Pick and roll is a sneak around.
Starting point is 01:00:55 This nigga was a dog in my college. You the last nigga that gets to shoot. I was. Hey, talk about the time you had 30. That's in the NBA at some point. At some point, every nigga. No, no, no. He had a lot of games. You had to learn how to play under the whistle. You had 30. They told you. You was a dog that's in the NBA at some point. At some point, every nigga. No, no, no. He had a lot of games.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Yeah, you got to learn how to play under the whistle. You had 30. I had a game in Minnesota one time. I was killing. And I shot a mid-range jumper one time. I'll tell that story. I shot like a middie. And made it.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I made it to go into the half. And they was like, pulled me to the side. I was like, you don't want to be here no more, do you, huh? And I was like, what the fuck? I'm like, yeah. He like, if you shoot another mid-range jumper, you won't play no more for a timber war and you're like what the fuck he's like we want threes and layups i'm like damn i might be out the loop in the league because i ain't know i couldn't shoot right there but that shit you gotta go through
Starting point is 01:01:37 you don't know that that's what i'm telling you everybody know everybody it's this nigga think the mba is a fucking au team they got motherfuckers they want doing specific shit. But that's the point. When I'm in the A&U team, the whole world is getting ABA. I see what you're saying. I'm going to be a don. But you can't do that when you play for an organization. Well, don't train the kids like that.
Starting point is 01:01:55 You need to train your little pussy ass to do rebounds. But my nigga was the first. That's how they going to do it when they get to the NBA? He was the first option on the team, but he had to learn how to play a role once he got around other stars. Give Joe the motherfucker ball, nigga. We don't give a fuck what you did that way. But what if Joe had a bad game? It ain't up to Jeff.
Starting point is 01:02:12 It's up to Josh. We lost. Yeah. I'm going to Josh. He lost on the total. Josh, Marvin, Al, you got to get these motherfucking ball. Get to the corner. Ain't no such thing as coming in and being the key player.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I went to Winston-Salem State. Okay, yeah. Yeah, so I came to see you ball at Wake Forest. Yeah, and I got to shoot every fucking time. Yeah, you got to – like, that's all you did. It was like he was on NBA Jam out there. Yeah, that nigga was – I mean. You go to the NBA, like – They don't NBA this nigga after like this.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Come on. Bo-Wag Sweatsuit. Come on. Come on. Come on, Al Horford. Come on to the free throw. What you saying, bro? Yeah, I know. Them niggas ain't flying the Jets respectful. Come on, Al Horford. Come on to the free throw. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Them niggas ain't flying to get disrespectful. You niggas ain't never did that in the NBA. You got to get some better friends. Yeah, just fuck that thing. You can have a great game and they like... I mean, what the fuck is you doing? They really fun you. It's a good game, but they'll be like,
Starting point is 01:03:03 alright, good game. So how do you become a great? How do you become one of them? You have to be handpicked? Get lucky. You got to be, like, in the right situation. Like, once Joe and them left, it was my chance to, like, flourish. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:03:15 But, like, I keep using Trey Young because we like the Hawks. He came in, they like, Trey, it's your team. Here you go. Do your thing. Right. That don't happen for everybody. Yeah, it's where you get drafted. It's a bunch of niggas you probably think about in college that was cold.
Starting point is 01:03:27 See, that's why can you feel for where they ain't coming from. If I came into a situation, I know how this shit go. Why the fuck would I leave the Trailblazers and go over here and put myself in an uncomfortable situation where I don't even like how the Lakers tried to make Russ look like he just – Man, that nigga was a dog, man. They tried to make that nigga look crazy, man. Situation. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:03:50 That nigga was crazy, man. I know that, but I'm like, that's crazy when you make him out as a dog. You know Russ was a dog. It's like – I know the politics. You're going to have to sit me down. But then you have – They ain't going to find your ass. You have situational situations that happen in the politics. You're going to have to sit me down. But then you have in the NBA, you have – They ain't going to find your ass.
Starting point is 01:04:05 My money guaranteed, right? No, it ain't. You have situational situations that happen in the NBA where you have like a nigga like Jeremy Lin. Talk about it. You know what I mean? That'll come off the bench and have a run of eight, nine games and get $50 million.
Starting point is 01:04:20 So you can have shit like that happen, but it's uncommon because the structure of the NBA game is entertainment. It's entertainment at the end of the day. That shit is entertainment. We put all of the onus on. Oh, man. Them niggas got a ball.
Starting point is 01:04:37 I watch that shit the same way I watch wrestling. Nigga, them niggas. See, that bitch ass nigga, they just gave this nigga $100 million. Look at that bitch ass nigga. I'm watching the game because... Not knowing this nigga eventually fucked because he got to switch his whole game up and learn the system.
Starting point is 01:04:54 If Dame was in his position vice versa, my nigga would go do the same thing in Portland that Dame do. I ain't going to say that. He was trying to get back for that disrespect of picking roles. He was trying to get back. that disrespect for picking Rose, he said just now. He was trying to get back for this. When Westbrook was at the Wizards, he was the double, double, triple, double king.
Starting point is 01:05:14 Was he not? He was like that everywhere. He went to the Lakers, and they was like. Look who he playing with, though. Russ is third on the list. You got to switch your game up. You just proved my point. He playing with AD and LeBron, bro.
Starting point is 01:05:25 It's different. Yeah, you can't just be out there being hero. It's a totem pole, bro. Yeah, it's different, man. See, that shit made me. I'm sorry. I'm hard here. I got to change my mind.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Huh? You going to the office and forcing the trade. Man, whoever. I'm one of them niggas, man. If you don't like me, beat me up to get me out of here. See, he going to say that shit right after the game. They're going to find him $17 million. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:05:49 That game check gone. You playing for free now. You shouldn't have said that shit you said. And then when you hit, I'm right there on the call. Hey, how you doing? I was in here already. Ice Cube going to call you. I got another question for you.
Starting point is 01:06:05 I always wanted this. I always like to ask NBA players, who the best player you ever played with that we ain't never heard of? Best player that you probably never heard of? Y'all probably heard of him, though. Jordan Crawford? Jay Crawford. He played in the big three this past season.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Jordan Crawford. He went to Xavier. He went to Xavier. His name is Jordan Crawford. He went to Xavier. He went to Xavier. His name's Jordan Crawford. He called. Yeah. So, in your opinion, what stops niggas like that from getting to the next level and succeed?
Starting point is 01:06:33 Opportunity. I mean, he had some good years. He had a year where, I think his rookie year, he had, like, 38 on LeBron. But, like, opportunity. That's really it. For real? Because you think about how you said, like, eremy lynn right jeremy lynn went crazy and that next year then he went to carmelo like what you
Starting point is 01:06:51 gonna do and they was like yeah go ahead and sign back if you want to now jeremy lynn in houston right he didn't care about none of that shit you was just doing whoever that big dog hey that's cool he crazy he can go crazy somewhere else if you don't feel we got going on it don't matter if i'm paying my max player, his opinion matters. Like Jordan Poole. Look at Jordan Poole. Come on. Jordan Poole.
Starting point is 01:07:09 He has 20 or something. Yes. That man crossed the nation. Y'all know how big Lynn Sanity was in New York? Yeah, I remember. I remember that shit. That shit was crazy. Fucking Lou Kang going crazy out there.
Starting point is 01:07:21 They got that nigga right the fuck up out of there. That nigga Lou Kang? Because motherfucking Melo like, going crazy out there. They got that nigga right the fuck up out of there. Because motherfucking Melo like, this T-Bow season is over with. It's done done. It's a pecking order, bro. Real shit. That's why you be seeing niggas on the podcast mad as fuck about that. I don't know why, man. I saw
Starting point is 01:07:39 when I realized that shit was just business and the players was out there playing and just doing what the fuck they do, whether they succeed or fail. Like you said, if the people who in charge of this shit just have a bad day and say, man, get them the fuck out of here. It don't happen. Fuck are we in the gym for? You want to be, you want to have a good product.
Starting point is 01:08:00 You want to go out there and show well so you can get paid. I never shoot. It's a job really. Fuck. Cause if you come fined yeah open layup i can't yeah but you look at somebody like dennis robin he said that dennis robin led the nba and rebounds for like eight years straight and there's all that nigga had 45 rebounds zero points roll don't you shoot shit i didn't even go there and be a dog he He was cool with that. But he was the best at that shit. He was the best at that. That's a lot of people, though.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Do that. Be good. That's what I'm saying. That's right, man. I had to find a way for me to be great. Be good at your role. Yeah. You got to be great.
Starting point is 01:08:33 What is that, listening? Yes. Pat Bantz is a perfect example. That's why he's still in the league, bro. He mastered his role. That nigga used to average 30 in high school. You know the best way to compare it? It's like wilding out, bro.
Starting point is 01:08:44 It's just like wilding out. Oh.. It's just like Wild N' Out. Oh. When we show up on Wild N' Out, like, it's just like that. I mean, I don't get told. I don't get told what to do. I'm talking about the road. They be like, hey, DJ,
Starting point is 01:08:55 I be like, bro, that food. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Exactly. When we show up, when certain motherfuckers show up, they don't even talk to us. They be like, all right.
Starting point is 01:09:03 The rest of you niggas sit around in a circle and sing. You know what I mean? Are you going to be a shit? I would assume that that's the type of environment you got motherfuckers that can show up and do what they want to do because you know that when the
Starting point is 01:09:19 lights come on and when they throw that ball up in the air, niggas know what you're going to do. How do I get that check, that hundred million? Not by Lights come on, and when they throw that ball up in their head, niggas know what you're going to do. Niggas know what you're going to do. How do I get that check, that $100 million? You got to be cold. Not by a great passer. You can be, nigga.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Look at Mike Conley. So you just want me to – Shout out to Mike. Three over the back. Mike averaging 11, nigga, and up, nigga, 140 in. Especially if you don't shoot, you're going to do something. They don't want you to shoot. They're going to put the motherfuckers out there they want to shoot.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Your job is to get them the ball. Run the show, nigga. That's all you got to do. Whether we win by 100 or we lose by 100. If you do the shit that they tell you to do, you can elevate. It's an opportunity. You ain't settling, nigga. Yeah, nigga, it's an opportunity for you.
Starting point is 01:10:04 It's an opportunity for you in motherfucking houston right now you can go down to houston right now and play all the shooting gods you want to play and go 22 and 61 nigga that's gonna be your record or go to the big three call cuba and lace up with the big three if you can't follow these orders that we got out here you can go to Europe shoot all the way you want to I'm grabbing these

Like, shit. The Wi-Fi going up. We ain't going to have it for a week. Ain't no English TV. He became a god over there. He was in China. Man, but the ball went over there.
Starting point is 01:10:49 But the nigga, you go three. You don't want to say it. Literally, though. He went to China and became a god. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's when he was on Vaseline and shit. Nah, it's always business. Like, I understand. Okay, the main shooter who be paying, the nigga ain't shooting shit.
Starting point is 01:11:31 We got to score. Nah, but you shoot his shots, and your ass is on the bench. So how do we know if it's his shots? He like, hey. He like, goddamn. Starting point is 01:12:07 Like, imagine somebody else about to get paid, and it's your turn. You a free agent. And, shit. So niggas was doing that on Wild N Out? Niggas go for what they know. Everybody get a shot. But it's just. It's really like camera time.
Starting point is 01:12:19 Yeah. Go with that shit. Go ahead. I'm like, go ahead. Go ahead. But the thing about it is, if you give a nigga that shot and he got that type of ambition but don't got the talent to go with it, it's only going to be so many times you let this nigga try and shoot a brick, nigga.
