You think that Jonas Brothers are satisfied?
Nope, it's podcast time.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Hey Jonas is available now, and their first guest is a big one.
Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Can you tell you not to audition at the office or something?
I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchorman.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to him, right?
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest
playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was harmed. You just understood.
That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Mark keep coming to. He's like,
you know, I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your
podcasts. Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its
place. I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things. As I was watching
these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority
black city in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

According to Ira Widerman,
the Miami Heat could pivot to Kauai Leonard or John Morant
if they lose in the Yonis week stakes.
Joe, would you rather have Yonit,
or would you rather have Kauai or Jah in Miami?
Shit, I'm going to Kauai, man.
Kauai just coming off, I think, statistically.
His best season.
And, like we always talk about, bro.
the heat culture and how Pat Riley is,
I think they'll have him,
they'll have him right down now.
He's going to be able to practice all that, Joe?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He ain't going to have no damn choice.
Well, he'd have been Lee Kawhalong.
What'd you say?
Oh, Joe, Joe, it is hard.
That man has not been on a regular practice schedule
since 2018.
Oh.
He's going to have to get on when he comes to Miami.
I'm just saying, Joe.
Do you know, Joe, think about it, Joe.
You got, think about it.
it. You own your schedule.
You've been on your own schedule
since 2018.
You was on your
schedule in
Toronto. You've been
on your schedule
at the Clippers
and to go after you
gotten Kwai's probably what, 33
34 years of age.
Joe, I would believe you.
If you say the man 26, 27, I say
okay. But Joe,
I don't know, Joe.
Man, they got, hey, they got some dogs over there.
Great weather.
You hear me?
Great weather.
Yes.
Great environment.
I can see him, you know, being ready, mentally prepared, you know, to come in and really do whatever he can to help their team get over the hump.
I think Kauai is a hell of a pickup if you ask me.
He is, Joe, but.
They're going to have the meeting.
You already go pimps.
Joe, you know the schedule.
Uncle Dennis.
Uncle Dennis was telling teams what it's going to be.
You know, you heard you were in the league.
I heard.
Uncle Dennis ain't good.
That's over what?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You come to Miami.
All that you go there, Joe.
He got, hey, Uncle Dennis, the map did I.
Yeah.
What it's going to be?
All this under the, all this under the table and stuff that y'all got going down there,
L.A.
It ain't happening out here in Miami, man.
I'll just let you know.
Yeah, they ain't going.
They ain't going.
Listen, if Pat Riley understands, right, Uncle Joe, if we want to be taking seriously as far as competing in the East, forget coming out the East.
Just competing in the East in general, things are going to have to change.
And if things have to change, it has to start at top.
We're going to need Pat Riley, you know, to have a conversation with Mickey Erickson and tell Pat you've got to loosen up the reins a little bit.
You got to evolve.
The game has changed.
You know, you can't be trying to coach and do things with an iron fist the way it worked in the
80s and the 90s. It's not going to work in today's era and the type of players that you're
getting in order for us to attract the kind of players we want to to change the culture, which
has been the winning culture before, but to get back to that winning culture and in those
winning ways, we're going to have to get players to come here, like the quad, like the Jamarons,
or the Janus. We don't want people second-guess themselves about coming to one of the
greatest cities to actually play in and having people say no because of Pat Riley.
Joe
Let me ask you a question
You want Kauai for 60-65 games or you want it for 30-45 game
Because you make him practice
You know what you're going to get
The knees can't take it
We're going to do a thorough
Investigation on his body
Make sure he's right
But we need his ass to
They're going to need his ass to practice
You know what I mean
He can make that 65 game throw at so he can do it
He can do it
I think he already, look, look, even when you look at him, he already in elite shape.
I mean, he's a guy who really take care.
He looked like he really take care of his body, bro.
Yeah, but he got the knees over 55.
His knees might be worse than mine.
Well, they got a nice conditioning program over there to keep him strong throughout the season,
make sure he good.
Yeah, yeah.
You can't go over that, but playing no damn 30, 35 games of season now.
Come on.
I think it is.
I've just tried to be honest with you, Joe.
I've just tried to get you to temper your expectations.
Yeah.
No, bro.
But, hey, look, because I mean, I want to see Jai go somewhere else.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jai in Miami.
But damn.
They ain't going to be to get both of them.
Should me?
Why are we in?
In my fingers, Joe, at this point, and the clip is going to look back, like, hold on.
I don't know how the clip is let him go because he's the only superstar that you got
and you just built a $2 billion arena.
So how do you let him go?
Who are you going to come see?
They got the number five pick in this draft.
I think the clip is just going to really.
Is that number five pick, LeBron James?
Yeah.
Is that number five pick Cooper Flagg?
No.
Is that number five pick Michael Jordan?
It's got to be somebody they're going to want to see, Joe.
Yeah.
Do you know, he better be Shaq?
He's Shaq?
If the number five pick, you're going to be shot.
Whoever the number five pick is,
it's not going to fill out of the arena every night they play it.
No.
And I'm not saying it in a disrespectful way.
Well, listen.
Some people will come see him.
I'm talking about Philly an arena every single night.
Well, this is the problem you have.
If you keep Kauai too damn long,
you ain't going to be able to get rid of him.
You know, he still got some great value in him right now
that I think some teams can use
and he can help him, you know, get to the finals,
if not win a title.
But you keep them too much longer, Uncle Ocho here.
You're going to be stuck like Chuck.
It's always.
Yeah.
I still want to put some butts in seats, Joe.
Well, hey.
You're going to have to get it through the draft
and build up over the next couple years.
I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you.
Because at the end of the day, as much as I love those guards,
you know who they come in to see in San Antonio, Joe.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And I think those guards are phenomenal.
And that's not, and respectfully, as I say this,
Castle is phenomenal.
Dylan Harper is going to be great.
I like Vasseel.
I like everything about them.
But they come in to see the alien.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Absolutely right.
You go to the circuit.
There's only a few animals you want to see.
I mean, when you go to the zoo, what are you going to see?
I'm going to see lions.
Lions, tigers,
gorillas, snakes.
Now, if I happen to walk by and see a polar bear, that's fine.
If I see the giraffe or I see the zebras,
I'm cool, too.
But you know what you're going to see,
and you go see those first.
I'm going to go, where the elephants are?
Excuse me, sir, where the elephants exhibit?
I'm going to see the lions.
Normally the time did I go,
them lazy mofo's slipping.
Yeah, I'm going to say that.
You better hope the lion's out.
Because they sleep, like, 23-hour sleep?
Hey, hey.
They're so lazy.
They're lazy.
Hey, they're sleeping.
I'm going to go see the silverbacks.
Yeah.
Hey, you know, hey, I got a little time.
I might check out the, go inside the enclosure and see the hippos.
Yeah.
See a rhinoceros here or there.
And then I'm going to see the snakes.
Try to catch them at feeding time.
That's it.
That's why I mean, hey, if you're lucky enough, I think we've had to
ship them all back. You go see the pandas.
The kids love to see the pandas. You get the
little stuffed animals that are pandas. You get to go see
the pandas. Like, oh, they're cute and cuddly.
They tell your ass up. But there people don't realize
they're just cute and cuddly. They're black and white. But don't
let that black and white fool you. They tell you your ass up.
Yeah, yeah. Hey, my little one, my little one,
my little one, my little boy. He loved them gorilla.
The silver back. He loved them
gorilla. Boy, you see them joking? I'm talking
about all muscle. I'm talking about 400 pounds
are all muscle.
400 pounds
Ocho Joe
with a 2,000 pound bench.
Damn.
And don't forget,
now,
not too long ago,
there was dialogue
going on
about 100 people
versus one gorilla.
Well,
I'll tell you what,
I want to be the 100 one.
So hopefully the 99
has wounded
to beat him down so much.
But I'm not in the first 10 or 15.
Yeah,
because the first 10,
y'all is done.
You're going to catch a year.
Cut her hair.
You see, they bite.
And with a bite force of probably
a thousand pounds of pressure,
they bite your arm clean off.
Bite, they'll snatch your arm clean off.
Yes, and beat you over the head,
and beat the next man over the head with it.
So I won't know part of it.
That was a good time with the people saying
they could take on the gorilla boy.
That was a good time.
Yeah, good luck with you.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news,
huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to our...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with the name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling.
it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard. Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.
Listen to Rebel Spirit Season 2 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever.
you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast point game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this.
series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash will get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers,
why he got the bar like,
after you go through a training camp with that, I say,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court.
and you're gonna get the bomb.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You said to me,
yo, you know, keep at it, because you let me rap for you.
It was magical for all of us.
We made it, we made it.
Yeah, I'm like, we?
You know, I'm like, I know these guys, but who are you?
I'm MC Jen, and this is laugh but not least.
I'll be chatting with guests from all walks of life
about the power of humor when it comes to facing difficult times,
like the co-founder of Rough Riders, Darren D.D.
Talking about as a kid.
Do you remember that we met even way before?
Let me think.
Did you walk up to the gate?
That was me, Dee.
That was you?
That was me.
The day we found out that you and the whole crew was at Hit Factory,
the mission was to get me to go to the gate, start freestyling,
and see if I could get in the studio.
I'm rapping, and then suddenly I hear a voice,
Hey, open the gate, let him in.
The gate slowly went.
Come, come, come, come, come.
They all, they're watching this,
and they watch me walk into there,
and that is a moment that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Listen to laugh but not least with MC Jen starting on June 9th on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
NBA passes anti-tanking rules.
3-21 draft lottery system.
Teams, 4 through 10 get three lottery balls.
Both three, bottom three teams get two lottery balls.
Playing teams get one to two lottery balls.
16 teams in the lottery with flattened odds previously 14.
teams cannot pick number one in consecutive years.
No top five picks in three consecutive years.
The worst teams now have just a 5.4% chance to get the number one pick.
The team with three balls have an 8.1% chance at each at the number one pick.
The three worst teams are guaranteed to pick no lower than 12.
Other lottery teams can fall as far as number 16.
Joe, Ocho, do you like this?
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, they're trying to take away this tanking, bro.
It's killing the game.
You know, when you get teams midway through the season
who feel like they got nothing to play for.
Yeah.
And, okay, boom.
For instance, look at Washington.
They went and traded for 80 and trade.
I'm talking about they ain't even played none this season.
You know what I mean?
They say, hey, man, you got to, hey, we got to tighten this ship up, bro.
because look, if you don't, the tanking will continue
and teams will continue to, you know,
do whatever they can to try and get a top three pick.
You know what I mean?
I'm glad they, I'm glad to implement all this in, bro.
We got to do that change.
Didn't the Cavaliers get the three consecutive?
They got Kyrie, Anthony Bennett, and Andrew Wiggins.
Yeah.
Back to back to back.
Yeah.
I like that.
The funny thing about it too long, it's crazy that I had this with a conversation
with us earlier.
When we talked about the tanking rule,
obviously soccer and soccer and Joe,
you know,
if you don't play well,
if you're playing at the bottom of the league,
you get relegated,
you know,
to a lower tier.
A lower division.
But obviously,
we oppose the question,
you know,
to Chris Paul about,
what do you think about the tank in basketball?
And is there anything that we can do to teams
and penalize them?
Obviously,
there's no regulation because there's nowhere
for NBA teams to go.
Yeah.
And obviously he had a really great answer and said they need to be penalized because the players that are on the team have to suffer.
They have to suffer, you know, and not being able to get the numbers they want to and do some of the things and being able to contribute to helping that team win.
Where they're stifled and really have, really have no say-so, you know, when a team decides to tank.
Yeah, because think about it.
Look at it like this.
If we are all on the same team, when they're talking about we tanking and it's on contract year,
And he's on contract year
He's like, damn the damn tank
I'm trying to get my damn numbers
Yeah, it affects you, yeah
You know what I'm saying?
Hey, I got a question, though.
And they put your ass on the bench or trade you.
There you go.
Hey, Joe, I'm glad you said that, Joe.
They buy T-Loo and Cleaver.
Yeah.
Because they wanted T-Lu to take.
T-Lu said, man, I'm trying to win.
Yeah, it's not a T-Lu, you got to go.
Hey, T-Lu ain't about no tanking.
Yeah, no.
I could have told him that.
Right.
Hold on, Joe.
Hey, if you're on a team, right?
Yes.
They know and they understand that you in a contract here
and in order to get your numbers, you have to play well.
Do they take that in account if you're still going to be on that team
and still pay you anyway because they decided to tank?
Yeah, no.
Yeah, no.
See, that's, I mean, Joe, it's like the discretion, Joe, you know,
I mean, Ocho, you know sometimes how you might finish your, uh,
let's just say we got the division, we got the thing sold up,
we got the number one C, and we bench you, and you two catches or you 20 yards.
Yeah.
They might go ahead and give you that money because you would have got it.
Yeah.
Because I'm going to be raising hell.
Like, I'm, bro, you bench me?
And I'm two catches and 40 yards away from a billion dollars?
Yeah.
No, I got to get that.
Yeah.
Hey, hey, if y'all don't give me that money, I'm dressing out.
Hey, with a situation like that, because I know, I think we've talked about it before.
I know both of y'all probably been in those situations to where, you know,
you probably had incentives that you was trying to meet at the end of the season.
Do you talk to your quarterback about that?
Like, man, I need four catches.
I need 60 yards a day.
Joe, had I, you know, hey, I'd have for 1,000-yard season.
I didn't.
But I didn't really, I was never, I'd never really, like,
gotten to the quarterback ear, the coordinator of Troy to throw the bar.
You know what I can do.
I'm the best on the team.
Give me the damn ball.
And we lost that game.
Oh, Joe, we love 30 to 13.
How are you lost?
We lost 13 at the half.
We end up losing the overtime, 33 to 30.
I ain't catch another pass.
Go look up 1993, the last game of the season.
See how many passes I caught at the half.
I think I had six for a buck, $1, $1.15 and two tubs, and then catch another pass,
and we end up blowing a 17-point lead.
Damn, how that happened?
That's what I don't understand.
You know what I mean?
It's like, when you see a guy got it going, you know what I mean?
like, damn, hey, every time we throw in the ball,
he's getting out of that.
He's making something happen.
Cook it.
That's my homeboy, burning him.
Eddie Anderson was,
he went to the Valley.
I caught a, I caught a seven route.
He was chasing me.
I had the ball back like this here.
He reached for it.
I was gone in the end, though.
Chad, what I have.
1993, last game of the season,
Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos.
Cooked him.
Hey, Joe.
You know, back then, when you play the Raiders,
they're going to be right in your face all game long.
Yeah.
You know exactly what's coming.
Right in your face, all game long.
All you got to do is get open.
Cooked them so bad, they went and paid Albert Lewis top, top, top dollar money.
Because he's the only one at that point in time that was giving me a problem.
Yeah.
Nobody, I was bliss.
Everybody, it didn't matter.
Your first corner, your best safety, your best linebacker,
nobody was doing up with 84 back then.
I had to work a little harder, but I gave him that work too.
Yeah, yeah.
I gave him that work, too.
I think I dropped 10 for a buck 42 on him.
A little something.
Let's get a little something on Monday night, don't you?
Yeah, yeah.
Monday night?
Mm-hmm.
Hey, the Monday night game, a guy trying to show their ass like they man.
Oh, yeah, because I knew everybody watching.
Hey, who called your games?
You had Madden your uncle?
did.
Actually, at that time,
Madden was on Fox.
Okay.
Al Michaels and Dan Deirdorf
was Monday night. I think
Boomer Assison
on Monday night also.
But at that point in time, yeah.
Summerall
rest of his old, Pat Sumerall
and John Madden, they were Fox.
Yeah.
I like boomer.
Oh, you like boomer and sasa?
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, he'd be having some,
he'd be having some dope scenes.
That'd be the thing for me.
Yeah, boom, boom, boom nice.
You know, I like, I like, I like Tony Romo, huh?
You like Romo?
I like Romo simply for the fact that he's played the game so well
and studied it so much, obviously playing quarterback.
I like how he calls out the plays
and tell you what's going to happen before it happening.
99.49% of the time, he's always right because he's seen it before.
And I'm not just a Cowboys game.
I'm just talking about games.
games he's calling in general.
Yeah.
It's funny.
It's funny watching them.
Some people say they don't even like Romo.
I don't know why.
But yeah, we had to,
Dick Enberg called some,
Dick Enberg called a lot of my games
because he was on NBC at the time.
And the AFC package was on NBC at the time.
But everybody gave,
everybody gave it up.
NBC had the,
NBC had the AFC package.
They gave it up.
CBS got it back.
CBS had the NFC package.
They gave it up.
That's how Fox.
came in and got it because, like, you know, back up saying, Fox, Fox had,
uh, Martin, the Simpson, in living color, and Fox News.
Hey, boy, in living color back then, huh?
Was sick.
Oh, my.
Boy, we, hey, you run to see it.
In living color.
Hey, that's it.
Hey, what's it?
You watch it Living Color, Joe?
Yeah, yeah.
Come on, man.
My favorite, Fire Bill Marshall.
Yeah.
Fire Marshal?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh my goodness.
And the Jamaica.
Think about all the comedians that came out of that.
Yeah.
A lot of stars.
David Allen Greer.
Tommy Davidson.
Jamie Fox.
Jamie Fox.
Jimmy Fox.
Jim Carrey.
You got Damon Wayans.
Sean.
Oh, that was all.
Kenan did comedy early, but he had really, by that time, he had turned into a writer.
He was doing more writing than actually doing stand-up.
But think about all the guys that came up out of there.
Yeah.
Hey
Hey
It was the one on two snaps
Two snaps
And uh
That was that
That was a
Damon Williams
And uh
And uh
And uh
David out of grip
Yeah
Hey
Hey
Hey
That damn homie don't play that
Over the cloud
Homie don't play that
Hey
Hey
Can you can I smash
So you won't be
Hey
So you want me to fall down
And hurt myself
To your amusement
Homie don't play that
Hey
Homie don't play that.
Homie don't play that.
Oh me.
Can I smash this pie in your face?
Oh, so you ought to humiliate me in front of all these people.
He'd take the pie and hit him in his face.
Homie don't play that.
Hey, hey, remember the Jamaicans,
the Jamaicans, hey, they had all the jobs.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, man.
They don't make shows like that no more.
No, man.
No, no, no.
We don't, hey, we don't got too conscious where you,
hey, that stuff that Martin used to do with Mr. McAfee
when he had that big old boot.
Yeah.
Come here, boy, come here.
Magavit.
But you want, Mr. McAfee, come here, boy.
Hey.
No, you can't.
That was classic TV back then.
You can't, like I said, in the 70s, Joe, they used to say the N-word with the ER.
Yeah.
Really?
No, G-8.
It was ER.
The thing that, the sitcom, you go back and look at Archie Ball and the family,
and you look at the Jeffersons, and you look at some of those sitcoms.
And I, you know, it's like, but you didn't think about it back then.
Right.
It didn't even darn on me that it was like, oh, okay, okay.
And now you're like, golly, man, look how they talk.
They made fun of it.
It wasn't nothing off limits.
Oh, everything.
If you have a disability, whatever, they made fun of you.
Yeah.
I was like, oh, my God.
Hey, Joe, you ever, you ever seen All in the Family?
All in the Family.
They all in the family.
With Archie Bunker.
With Archie Bunker.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, boy.
He spawned a lot of shows.
Hey.
I mean, you think about all those shows.
Mod came after that.
Hey, you know of Mod?
Golden Girls.
Yeah.
Jefferson's.
There are a lot of shows that came from that.
Hey.
Rob Reiner, rest of so who tragically lost his life,
his son killed him.
He was meathead.
That was his son-in-law.
Damn.
Yeah, he became a great writer.
He wrote when Harry met Sally,
things, I think he wrote a few good men also.
Hey, that was a phenomenal, phenomenal,
well-written movie, boy.
A few good men?
Oh, my goodness.
Hey, recite that thing one time.
Recite that thing one time.
See, Joe ain't ready for that.
Hey, hey, show Joe.
Hit Joe.
Hey, wait, wait, hey, he's been hitting Denzel Washington.
He wrecked it.
Okay.
He, hey, look, he offered him to Porte A-D-N-Night.
You all that point-Ey-A?
He said, you want answers?
I think I'm entitled to him.
You want answers.
I want the truth.
You can't handle the truth.
Son, we live in a world that has walls,
and those walls have to be guarded by men with gun.
Who's going to do it?
You, you, Lieutenant Weinberg,
I have a greater responsibility
that you could possibly fathom.
You reap for Santiago.
You curse the Marines.
You have that luxury.
You have the luxury of not knowing what I know.
Santiago's,
death while tragic, probably save lives. My appearance, grotesque and incomprehensible to you,
save lives. You don't want the truth cut deep down in places at parties you don't talk about.
You want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like honor, cold, loyalty.
We use these words of a backbone of a lifetime spent defending something. You use them as a punchline.
I have in the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under
the blanket of freedom that I provide and then question the matter in which I provided.
I'd rather you said thank you.
It went on your way
or pick a weapon up at Standard Post.
Either way, I don't give a damn
what you think you are entitled to.
Did you order the code red?
I did my job.
Did you order the code red?
You're damn right, I did.
Hey,
hey, boy, you got that down
pack, don't you, man?
Let's go.
You know, every time I went to see that in the movie,
I probably saw that movie 50 times
in the movie.
And that scene, that's,
scene right there in that courtroom, one of the best ever.
One of the best scenes ever.
Hey, I see somebody in the chat said Family Matters.
Oh, yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one.
Family Matters with Urkel?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, he should be some good shows, bro, back in the day.
Back in the day, absolutely.
Really good. Hey, Joe, you remember Small Wonder?
Yeah, I remember Small Wonder.
Hey, remember Punkie Brewster?
Yeah, you remember Fuller?
house? Oh yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, yeah. Hey, hey. Hey, I used to watch all that, bro.
Yeah. Hey, I bet you remember Fraggle Rock. Fram Rock. Conjunction, what's your function?
Hey, what about Alf? You used to watch out. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Willie. Hey, matter of fact,
hi, baby. My daughter, Kennedy, Kennedy's watching. She has school tomorrow. Uh, I
I know school is almost over and out for the summer,
but there's no reason you should be up this time of night.
Daddy love you.
Okay, now go to bed.
Whoever saw the movie, Malice?
Malice?
With Alec Baldwin and Nicole Kidman?
You saw it?
I ain't see that.
I ain't seen that one.
When he had the God complex.
Oh, I got to, I got to check that out.
It was good.
He's like I have an MD from Harvard.
I am board certified in cardiothoracic medicine and trauma surgery.
I receive seven citations from
I received seven different citations from New England medical boards
and I'm never ever sick at sea.
So you ask when someone goes into that chapel
and they fall on their knees that their wife doesn't miscarriage
that their daughter doesn't bleed to death
or their mother doesn't suffer a post-operative shock.
Who do you think they're praying to?
When you go to church and you read your Bible, Dennis,
and with a little luck you might win the annual raffle.
But if you're looking for God,
He was at the operating room number two on November 17th,
and he doesn't like to be second guest.
So you ask if I have a God complex, I am God.
This side show, it's over.
That boy good.
That boy would be locked in with the movie.
Yeah, yeah.
Hey.
What we talk about, man.
But I'm saying I used to go to movies all the time.
I like to go to movies and.
If something like that right there, I'm going back again.
I will go back again and I'm going back again.
And then I'm going to learn that part.
Yeah.
I'm good.
But that Jack?
Hey, Jack was special, boy.
Jack, Jack was special.
No, he was, hey, a few good men, as good as it gets.
Yeah.
Have you seen what Greg Canarian as good as it gets?
Yeah.
He was in another movie.
Obviously, he was in the first Joe.
and first Batman.
Oh, what was that other?
Oh, here's Johnny.
Shiny.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He was hitting that dog coming there.
Here's Johnny.
Hey, you remember?
I know you saw Glory, Joe.
You saw Glory?
Yeah, yeah, I seen Glory.
Glory, Denzel, Morgan Freeman.
Yeah.
Some really, really good scenes in glory.
Daniel Day Lewis, and there will be blood.
There will be blood.
You drank the milkshake?
That scene in that little bowling alley?
Yeah, he are.
Man, that's my favorite actor, man.
I wish I could meet Daniel Day Lewis, man.
Man, that joke.
Hey, that Jack, when he played that first Batman,
he gets that newspaper, he looks up,
Wayne Fing Terrorizer City.
They get a load of me.
I did on the sideline.
I said, NFL Fields, they came,
but I just scored a touchdown on somebody.
I forget who I scored a touchdown.
down on. And I say his brother sets
NFL record. Where they get
a load of me?
Mitchell Robinson, guys, the Knicks got some bad news.
Mitchell Robinson is out with a
broken pinky finger. Sean's report
and no timetable on his return.
Joe, how bad
would this impact the Knicks?
Damn, what was he doing, huh?
I think he brought in shot or something.
Man, that's a finger.
Your game is predicated
Y'all of energy and effort.
Energy and effort.
Shot blocking.
It ain't like hell.
Y'all, we throw, they throw him the ball and he can, you know, go get us a bucket.
That, man, you better take that damn finger up and get ready to go.
Hey, hey, hey, all he got to do is just take these two, huh, Joe?
Take these two together.
Which finger was it, did it say?
The pinky.
You said, you mean which hand was it?
You say he broke his finger, right?
He broke his pinky.
His finger on what hand, yeah.
Yeah, they didn't say it don't matter, Joe.
Just tape these two together right here.
And let's go.
It wasn't like he was shooting anyway.
Hey, Damian Woody said,
I'm going to need some basketball dudes
to help me understand why Mitchell Robinson
missing time with a broken pinky.
I broke my hand in training camp,
had surgery,
and had the whole damn hand in the cast
and didn't miss a game.
Yeah, and he still got time, man.
He still got the finals will start to the fifth.
He got plenty of time.
Hey, Joe, we know y'all the softest ones, Joe.
Now, I mean, come on.
Now stop that.
Oh, come on.
Don't start.
Don't start.
Don't start.
How many times we don't play
with dislocated fingers?
And like Joe Ocho, say,
take the thing together
or get a split.
Yeah.
That's it.
And he's a defense of play anyway.
And when he goes to the line,
he's going to miss anyway,
so we're not counting on them
and making no shot.
He ain't going to do no but dope.
Or free dog.
Hey, unless it's so bad
to what he really needs surgery or something.
No.
I don't know.
He said,
Surgeon going to have to wait
to after game six.
All day,
he said,
is his right hand.
But, like,
man,
he ain't shooting no shots
anyway.
He getting dunks
and putbacks.
And he rebounded.
It's going to be
hard to play his head
because it's going to be
Hacker Robinson,
too.
Oh,
yeah,
he damn sure.
Hey,
he damn sure
ain't going to make
no free throws now.
Joe,
he was shooting 15%
said to begin with, so now you're going to shoot 10.
Damn.
That's bad.
Hey, Joe, why he can go to a free throw coach in the offseason, Joe?
Man, that just comes from putting in a, you got to put the work here, Ocho.
Maybe his hands too big for the ball.
Nah, hell, not.
Maybe he's too big for the ball, uh.
Joe?
You got, hey, hey, anything is repetition, bro.
Yep.
Get your ass of practice, bro.
Make a hundred free throws.
Before practice, make a hundred after.
Why that man to be there the whole year?
Hey, hey, well.
Hey, that's what it's going to take.
Joe talking about make 100 free throw.
Yeah, yeah.

You think that Jonas Brothers are satisfied?
Nope, it's podcast time.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Hey, Jonas is available now and their first guest is a big one.
Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Can you tell you not to audition at the office or something?
I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchorman.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to me, right?
Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akila Hughes.
In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.

What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reed.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the fly.
He running up the court, licking his fingers
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp
with that Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You said to me,
yo, you know, keep at it, because you let me rap for you.

Let me think. Did you walk up to the gate?
That was me, Dee.
That was you?
That was me.
The day we found out that you and the whole crew was at Hit Factory,
the mission was to get me to go to the gate, start freestyleing,
and see if I could get in the studio.
I'm rapping, and then suddenly,
I hear a voice.
Hey, open the gate.
Let him in.
The gate slowly went.
Come, come, come, come, come.
They all, they're watching this,
and they watch me walk in today,
and that is a moment that I will remember
for the rest of my life.

Okay, okay, Joe,
while there are many moments of frustration
and for the Indiana fever and their 184 loss
to Portland Fire Saturday night,
the one that got the last.
the most attention involved the sideline exchange
between Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White.
At one point in the game,
a fan caught a video of White and Caitlin
arguing on the bench during the break in the action,
presumably over defense.
Let's look at this video.
I ain't really seen nothing now.
I mean, I saw Caitlin Clark be a little dementia of, you know,
outside of that.
You can't be demonstrative, Ocho.
What you mean as a coach or as a player?
Hold on.
Cheryl Miller on NBC Today said right now is frustration,
and unfortunately it's boiling over and it's being seen.
It's one thing to have it behind closed doors.
But when it spills over, when the coach has to say basically,
hey, you know what, Caitlin, enough is enough.
This is too disruptive, in or out, take a seat.
I listen, I respect coaches like that, bro.
When you can challenge your best player and your best player response,
I ain't talking about it in a way to where it seems like they got to ask.
attitude and they don't want to do it.
But, you know, maybe you're right.
Let me lock in.
You know what I mean?
Like, I ain't, the back and forth is not a bad thing to me, fellas.
You know, it happens from time of time.
When you police and players, this is what comes with it.
And if you can't police your best player, bro,
then it's always going to be a problem.
But the problem is Joe, this is not isolated.
It's every night.
She doesn't play defense.
And she got so.
Why are you trying to drop a play offensively?
Guard your man defensively.
Look, y'all know me.
I've been on Caitlin
and been in Caitlin Clark's corner.
But enough is enough now.
I'm tired of her behavior.
I'm tired of the shoving.
I'm tired of the elitist.
I'm tired of the entitlement.
Enough is enough.
Play basketball.
She's not holding up her end.
And I love Stephanie White for this.
It was a very similar situation.
where LeBron was trying to draw something
when Ty Lou first got to drop.
And Taloo said, I got this.
Right.
Gotta let them know who in charge.
I ain't know.
A little passion.
Where is that passion on defense?
Y'all say she got passion.
Where is the passion on defense?
Because guess what everybody's doing?
What are they doing, Joe?
Attacking her.
The same thing they do with all scores
when you don't play.
Luca, the best score of the NBA.
Tell me where they go.
That's how you offset it.
Make the ass work on defense.
Joe.
You think you, hey, hey, hey, hey, you think you're feeling just come down?
Go ahead.
Huh?
You think you feel to just come down, average 25, 30 points a night,
and ain't going to have no pushback on defense?
We're going to make your ass guard.
What?
We're going to make you work on that.
We're going to, wait, we're going to seek you out every time.
I love the fact that Joe, that you're on here, and you get it.
What a lot of times I don't think people get,
and people are, oh, I love passion.
If your coach can't coach you,
you might as well just go ahead and get them up out of there.
Yeah, you got to go.
It won't be long because if your best player
keep disrespecting you,
they're not going to respect you either.
Right.
The only reason they worked in New England
was why?
Because Coach Belichick got the ultimate respect
from Tom Brady.
If your best player doesn't respect you,
you might as well just going to get you another coach.
Absolutely right.
I totally agree.
is something. She's pushing somebody.
She's serving somebody. She's doing something.
And I've given you the benefit
of the doubt.
And I understand you missed
last year and you're trying
to get your rhythm back. But enough
now. Come on now. You're too good
of a player, but you can't
just play one end of the court.
And don't show your coach up.
If you want to be passionate,
be passionate on both ends
of the court.
Yeah.
Seems like you want to be passionate when it draw up this play.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, I can't draw up no play.
Hell, you getting cooked on nothing.
I draw up a defensive play.
Make that one work.
That's the way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey, the thing about trying to show your coach up, bro,
especially in the NBA, if you got 30, 32 other teams watching,
man, that nobody wants to deal with that, bro.
Don't nobody want to deal with no damn headache.
what do you say, tolerance over
productivity. Production and tolerance.
They only going to deal with so much, bro.
They only going to deal with so much.
And the problem is,
Ocho and Joe, and you know this,
is that when the production slip,
you're gone.
They don't let guys that be great
and been a problem, they don't let them stay long.
All they wait for that,
they wait for that moment.
Just to look.
Oh, yeah, he came.
Get up out of there.
Got the guy to get him out of here.
Yeah.
Absolutely right.
Just enough.
Enough.
I've seen enough.
I've watched enough games.
There's always something.
She's pushing players.
She's stepping on players.
You'll catch the right young lady.
You'll catch the right one on the wrong day.
Yep.
My grandma, would you tell me, I'm my brother.
They say, oh, okay.
Y'all will catch me.
Y'all will catch the right one, but it's going to be the wrong day.
Absolutely.
Hey, you got to take some accountability.
Yes.
I know we talk about that a lot.
But she has to accept that part, bro.
You know, showing up your coach.
It ain't going to be a good look.
And you got your teammates, bro, who are going to look at you different.
Now, they may not tell you, but they're going to look at you different.
Because they understand you're kind of been coddled since you got here.
Yeah.
Everybody has bent over kind of backward to a piece.
Ease you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Ready to tell us all the time,
boy, don't be ugly.
Make people don't like you.
Frags.
Frank.
Hey.
Well, I don't like them either.
Yeah, she got to fix that.
Oh, Joe.
Yeah.
I mean, you know, and for me,
I mean, I hear both both of you talking.
and I
it
to me it's not enough
it's not enough
you understand who she is
you understand how she plays the game
and a player showing passion
in that magnitude
in that moment
I don't think she means
that is what they called it when you did it
oh well I
well you know how I am when I do it
you know that you know why
it's passion
because I was a way
you want to win it
it's passion but I'm a repeat offender
and I don't have the leeway
to be able to be able to
do it. She's a repeat offender.
Also, you need
to watch her. Watch her game. I need you
do them in favor. The next time they play, watch
watch her game and watch her antics on the court.
Right.
I see the highlight sometimes.
Watch it. Watch. Watch. I watch.
Right, right, right.
And chat, y'all know, I've been one of her
biggest proponents. I've been
in her corner. I've been a champion.
I don't tolerate
this kind of behavior.
Right.
Mm-mm.
So you wanted to take
I wanted to play
I want to let the coach coach
She already got one coach fired
Now first coach you got to fight you fired
Stephanie White just got there
And they took
They gave the aces all they can handle
And they didn't have Caitlin Clark
Kailin Clark is not playing any defense
They're attacking her
Yeah she got to tighten up
At some point in time,
for a coach to be worth his or her merit,
you got to draw a line.
Yep.
You got to draw a line.
The players will run over you.
They will.
More times than not, there's a reason why we got laws and rules and regulation.
People ain't going to do it right.
They won't.
That's just in people's nature.
More time, Barnetport used to tell us all the time,
he said, boy, give them a choice to do right or wrong.
and there's no one there to hold us accountable for the wrong.
How many people do you think are going to do right
and how many people you think are going to do wrong?
Yeah, depending on what the wrong is.
I'm so trying to get away with stuff.
That's my point.
See, people when I say wrong, people always go to the most egregious.
Yeah.
Okay, what about speeding?
If you know the police wasn't under it, how fast would you go in that 55?
If you knew the car wasn't behind you and they didn't see you litter,
If you can walk into the store and shoplift and get something,
giving a choice to do right or wrong.
We know what the rights are.
We know what the wrongs are.
Yeah.
Hey, Joe.
What's up?
I'm going to steal some.
Some Haynes underwear?
Yeah.
It ain't been to get caught.
Some Haynes' underwear and Haynes tank tops.
Yeah.
With me, boy.
No.
Oh, yeah.
I didn't steal no droves.
I'm just saying,
I'm just saying me.
It definitely is not no food of Lulums either.
Hey, Uncle, you don't shop a target, so you don't understand.
I do shop a target.
What the hell you think I get the order in toothpaste and mouthwash?
So where you get your undies from?
See, you boozy.
You boozy.
Who is that?
Yeah, that's bougie.
Lulu Lemon.
That's what he's on my.
You don't get your, you don't get your, I can say.
I didn't want to white, I ain't want to white drawl since I was probably.
30 years old. Who wear white drawers?
I wear white
I wear briefs from from Target.
The white ones? No, the multi-pack, the
multicolour, 10-pack. Black,
black, gray.
They black, blue, and gray.
Yeah, yeah. Man, Target don't play.
See, hey, I don't know really shop at Target.
I do shop at Target.
I get
I get shower jail.
I get mouthwash. I get
toothpaste I buy
I bought like 15
packs or oil B
toothbrushes four packs
so I got like 65 toothbrushes
I go through a toothbrush like every two weeks
damn my thought
hold on hold on so the boycott
that's off a target we back
at Target now I'm
man I gotta get stuff out of it man
y'all live in the star
y'all live in hell to be out here funky
hold on it was a boycott
John
it was a boycott
Oh, man, come on.
Come on, man.
When it started?
Hey, hey, I'm going to hit my people.
I'm going to hit my people at, uh, I'm going to hit the Walons, man, the Wal-Mart.
I'm going to get us a sponsorship on here from Walmart.
That way, you know, we, we get some good stuff.
I got, like I said, I'm, and I'm buying bulk anyway.
I got like, I probably got about 10 things of mouthwash.
Probably got about 12, 14, 2s,000.
toothpaste, got about
60 toothbrushes,
got about...
Damn.
I bought a shower jail.
You got...
I bought enough shower gel the last me for a year.
Hey,
Joe, why you need to tell me that?
Joe, I ain't know that?
Oh, man.
Oh, Joe, what rock are you behind under?
Where are you been?
Joe, you know, I live on a rock, but, man,
I'd be right here, but I, I'm going to switch the Walmart,
then.
But they, uh...
You know, they all tell us.
They've got the same haines at Walmart
to the same thing's house.
I ain't got, man, I hadn't brought no.
I remember, man, we used to buy fruit at a loon.
You watched them jokes one time.
The waistband so God does.
You got to buy a kid-sized draw and just wash them
and then they fit perfect.
If you buy whatever your waist-size-field draws
and wash them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a round.
It's a round.
It's a round.
They didn't draw.
My man, couldn't nobody fall in the paint.
back then in the back of the day.
Man, you get them fruit of loo.
Hey, no worse.
Boy, ain't nothing worse to have some loose droves.
Bad joke.
Man, that waistband stretch out.
Ain't nothing worse than that, fellas.
I'm sorry.
Boy, as a kid, boy, there's nothing worse than that.
Man, you know, you're trying to
because you already know what's going to happen by the fruit of the loo.
Boy, my grandma said, boy, take them
Keeney drawers back.
I'm like, Granny, we got to get them small.
So you wash them one time,
boom, they're going to be perfect.
You basically, if you were 32, you better get you a size 28 draws.
Damn.
I thought you just...
Damn, damn, I'm glad you put me on game, Joe.
I wait.
Clearly, it's over with, oh, Joe.
Shoot, no, it ain't.
Boy, the chat's a where I've been at.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm trying to tell you.
I mean, hey, you know, what about...
Shoot, Amazon.
I get my socks from Amazon.
You get the socks from there was on?
What kind of socks?
Yeah.
I get the, I get the, I get the crunch, the crunch socks, Joe.
They, they call Hugh, uh, slouch.
I'm sorry, not crunched slouch.
Oh, okay.
They're like, what is?
No, no.
They, they, they, uh, I got, I got to squish them down, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they nice.
I like them.
They call Hugh, H-U-E.
Oh, no, I just, you slouts.
I wear footies.
Oh, see, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, yeah.
Yeah, your ankles out and all that?
I can't remember the last time I wore socks that came above my ankles.
Yeah, I always, my angle's too small.
That's why I always wear the big socks.
It's where you small.
Who?
No, I'm too old.
You saw me in person.
You see how big got and got.
You say you two old.
But Costco sell clothes too, right?
And I ain't get no damn.
Yeah.
You know how much they charge for a membership?
I don't know.
How much?
Like, like $50?
I ain't paying no $50.
I can't just walk in and buy what I want to.
I don't belong there.
$70 a year, right?
Yeah.
I ain't got pre-check.
You think I'm going to buy a membership to Costco?
I'm getting pre-chip.
Hell, no.
I don't know about you, but that's why you don't live in Atlanta or L.A.
Because if you had lived in Atlanta, L.A., you're going to get pre-checked.
Got to.
This is what you don't understand, Joe.
If I got to fight at 11 o'clock, Joe, I'm the type of
show up to the airport, 9 o'clock, 915.
That still ain't going to get you.
I got to get my coffee.
That ain't going to get my car.
Them lines two hours long, Ocho.
And they got 40, 50 lanes.
Atlanta's the biggest, busiest airport in the world.
In the world, yeah.
Leave out of there on a Monday or Friday if you want to,
because people leave and going to work or they come.
Okay.
Go to show up at 11 o'clock,
fight, show up at 9 o'clock and see what happened to you.
that thing be thinking their, Ocho.
That thing be back around to
buy bags clean.
Hey,
hey, I'll be thinking,
I say,
I'd be thinking,
them lines be so long sometimes.
I'd be like,
well,
I'd have been to call,
whoever,
hey, man,
I ain't gonna make it,
bro.
Like,
hey,
I ain't even know I had anxiety
until I'd get in a damn airport.
Do you hear me?
You ain't got to tell me nothing, Joe.
Hey.
Hey, Joe, they'd be bothering you when you go to the airport?
I mean, it's not necessarily bothering.
You know, they always bring up nightcap
talking about how crazy you're an uncle.
They know you're an uncle is mocho.
Nah, you're right with him here.
Hey, hey, hey, by you guilty by association.
What about you?
Yeah, hey, hey.
So, you know, they always stop in and they ask me something about y'all.
You know what I mean?
So, yeah, they ask me quick.
Every time somebody see me, they ask me something here.
Man, I don't know what the hell they're doing here.
Yeah.
dude asked me
the day, dude older than me, the white dude
talking about, hey, you honk from that show?
I look,
I'm like, no, bro.
You're sadden it.
How are you talking about am I unc from the show?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, yeah.
He tells me why, hey, that was Sheldon Sharpe.
He's the Hall of Fame.
I'm like, bro, you just call me uncle.
You're older than me.
The funnest thing, too, Joe,
and this is the kind of reach.
I don't think you understand that we have.
is we have nightcap
and I just left TST
I left the soccer tournament
you have to think you have
you have players that are flown
from all over the world
from all of the world in Europe
Brazil
Chile
and everybody's here
under one umbrella
in rally for a tournament
but everybody knows about
nightcap
everybody watches nightcap
and it is funny
some people
dudes barely know English
yeah
they know how it's um
how are Joe doing
I'm like, how do you know about nightcap
and you live all the way?
And the mother shows need to change their name, Mocho.
They don't have to.
They don't have to.
Because there's only one when you say nightcap,
they already know.
They already know.
They already know.
That was dope.
Just to hear people that they all the way in Europe, Joe.
Yeah.
We love.
We love y'all show.
You guys are really funny.
We love y'all too.
The Aces got back to their winning ways.
They beat the Valkyries, 91, Asia Wilson.
28 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks.
Jackie Young, got back to looking like Jackie Young,
23 points, 9 assists.
She was 9 of 17 from the field,
5 or 9 from the 3-point line,
and she grabbed several rebounds.
The victory gave Becky Hammonds 150 of coaching victory
and made her the second fastest coach to reach that milestone.
She did it in 205 games,
seven behind Van Chancellor who set the record when he coached the Houston Comments.
uh gabby williams led to valky with uh with 20 points um man asia look when they're playing
when them two guards when asia is Asia um and jacky young one of those guards played they hell
they are bro they're gonna they they they're gonna be tough to beat you know uh you right
when when Asia's playing like this and she can't be stopped 15 boys 28 points
It ain't, I don't know if, I don't even know if they got a girl in WNBA who matches up well with her.
No.
Because you see how she moved?
She's not, she doesn't move like a lady.
Hers, she's sudden and she's left.
She's added a three.
She's got a midi.
She can put the ball on the floor.
She can get to the rim.
You file her.
But as a two-way player, she gave your points, rebound.
and block your shots.
You know, with women, though,
especially like in Asia's position
because she's a center,
she need good guard playing.
And she got two of the best.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And when they're playing well,
when they playing well,
that's what makes them virtually impossible to be.
And man, what do you call them?
Look, this was a very important game to them
because they played their start
of the page of minutes
and Kennedy Carter, who's been unbelievable.
Right now, she'd be the sixth woman of the year.
She's been amazing.
She only played nine minutes, but she still gave you six points, Joe.
She gave, she was perfect from the free throw.
I mean, she's perfect from the field,
one and one from the three point line,
or three or four from the free throw line.
She was, she was amazing.
Yeah, hey, A, Becky, Becky rode them horses.
She did, A.
Nah, hey, hey.
Unlike Ron Turcock on secretary,
you, hey, he got to the top.
He took the back up on and said, I don't even need it today.
And that chestnut coat laid it down.
Come on home.
And you see it turn back over and show it looked like, God.
Are y'all even running?
Hey, damn.
Bickie had to whip out the day on them.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on home.
Yeah.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hey, sometimes, hey, boy, sometimes that would it take.
Hey, if you're in a little rut or you're trying to bounce back,
Hey, y'all need to get it together
Yeah
Gabby Williams
She played for the French team
Isn't she she play for the French team
Because I think she got dual citizenship
So I think she played for the French team
Because she gave
Because remember Joe in the Olympic
She had to hit that shot
But her foot was on the line
Who was this?
Gabby Williams
She played for the Balfrey
Golden State
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah
Kee Stokes
She was on I think she played with the
She played with the Aces last year
Kind of doing what she'd done before
No point, seven rebounds.
I think I read somewhere to where the Golden State Valkyries,
they're like a top franchise already.
Oh, yeah, the most expensive franchise.
I think they're worth a billion.
A billion?
But what makes them, what makes them, how's that?
They own the building which they play in.
Damn.
Like the Liberty?
Oh, yeah.
Huh?
Yeah, man, we should have got in
and got us a percentage on the dream.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we could have got it.
We could have got it real cheap.
Ain't nothing cheap now.
Houston, yeah.
Timmy, hey, yeah, Tim and Fatita just bought the,
well, he bought the sons last year.
They're relocating to Houston.
The son, Connecticut son.
All righty.
They're going back to the comments.
They're going to be the Houston son.
That'd be the comments.
No, I think they're going back to the comments.
They've done something to be able to get their comment back.
And that's going to be dope.
I remember as a kid, bro, sitting there watching Cynthia Cooper in them play.
Hey, man, they had Tina Thompson,
their parole, they had swoops, yeah.
They were loaded.
When the WMA first kicked out, them girl were not playing.
Well, you ain't going to see what they did.
They won four straight.
Because they had two of the top five players on one team.
And Tina Thompson wasn't no slout.
Oh, no.
So they might have had three of the top seven, top eight players on one roster.
And the only thing that hurt them is that
Cooke was getting older.
But if it...
She was cold.
What?
Man, Coot was like that.
Damn, she was cold.
She was nice, but I'm talking about putting up numbers.
Damn.
But congratulations.
I got to check out a comics game.
I'm trying to say who they can play,
who I want to see them play.
They got to play somebody good.
No, you know what?
When you guys started like Asia
and gray and young,
you don't care who they play.
Because the best talent is on the home court.
It ain't like you go, you know, you play,
you want them teams and you wait for the Lakers
or you wait for somebody good to come play.
Hell, we got the best players right here.
Because I saw him play, I saw him play a couple years ago.
I saw him play Caitlin Clark.
Who you talking about the Aces?
Gold Awards, sold-out tours.

I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchorman.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to me, right?

Here's something that should not be
as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority of Black City,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.
