Starting point is 00:02:09 Don't forget to hit that subscribe button to join the fastest growing community on YouTube. Remember, nightcap doesn't happen without you. So please subscribe or you're going to make Ocho cry. Godly, boy. The Bronco, security the LFC top seat in the playoffs and the AFC. faced to a 1913 victory over the charges of the Broncos, the 14 and 3, tied their franchise record for the most victories than a regular season and earned their first number one playoff seed since 2015,
Starting point is 00:02:38 the year they parlayed that into a Super Bowl. Guess where the Super Bowl was held at that year? You guessed it, Levi Stadium and San Francisco. Bo Nix had one of his worst games of the season throwing for just 38 yards in the first half and 148, 141 yards overall. But he tied Russell Wilson record, 24 wins, in his first two seasons, helping the Bronco grind out another tough win. And now the season truly starts, right?
Starting point is 00:03:07 Riley Moss, you win or you go home. So the stakes are high, and we're going to be ready to roll in two weeks. Broncos host their playoff game and host their first home playoff game in a decade, which could be the Chargers, 11 and 6th if they'll beat the Patriots at New England and the Wildcar game. Look, I get it. Nobody really wanted to show their hand. But even if you don't show your hand, guess what I want to do, Ocho? I want to execute.
Starting point is 00:03:34 What? Yeah. Just because you don't show your hand, that doesn't mean you lack execution. They look bad. The defense, and think about it, the, the Chargers didn't play any of their starters offensively or defensively. Right. And still kicked you.
Starting point is 00:03:53 They won't worry about this, huh? They won't worry about this. I guarantee you. It wasn't nothing but a poker face. It didn't matter. How many sacks did the Bronco? Did they have, what, 65? They didn't break the record.
Starting point is 00:04:13 The record 72, I think, by the 84 Bears. They had four sacks today. Nick Benito has 168 Then four short Damn Nick Benito ends With 14
Starting point is 00:04:39 Zach Allen But you know We rest up on Joe Get ready Who is we The Broncos Vikings Vikings crew fast resting
Starting point is 00:04:52 Packers 163 For the fifth straight win As McCarthy exit Again with an injury. J.J. McCarthy had a productive first half before he was injured again. He missed seven games and parts of two others,
Starting point is 00:05:04 multiple injuries after knee surgery that wiped out his rookie season. McCarthy was 14 to 23, 182 yards, left early in the third quarter with soreness in his throwing hand. Back up, Max Balsamer took it from there, helping Justin Jefferson reach the 100-yard mark for the first time in 12 games as the Vikings finished the season 9 and 8, and they coached it to the fifth consecutive event. victory. Jedda also started his career, six straight, 1,000-yard seasons.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Only Randy Moss, and Mike Evans have been able to do that. J.J. McCarthy, 14 to 23, 182, Max Bowzmer, seven of eight, 57 yards. They ran the ball 31 times for 137. Jetta, eight catches 103 yards. Jalen Naylor, three for 49, but they win. Green Bay rested everybody they better come ready to play you got to you got to and I think they will be ready to play
Starting point is 00:06:04 offensive yes they got the bears they got a very familiar opponent yeah you know how those games go yep oh Joe we got the final segment of the evening it's time for our final segment
Starting point is 00:06:19 it's time for Q and A Boy, it's almost 2 o'clock. I got work at 5 o'clock. Ocho, Lord Byron underscore double deuce. Should the Giants pursue John Harbaugh if the Raven decide to part ways? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:06:42 He's a very good coach. But I think his voice is a little stale in that locker room. Georgia Powerade. Justin Tucker would have never. Probably not. Justin Tucker, every big postseason field goal, he's made. But, I mean, you can understand the situation,
Starting point is 00:07:04 given the circumstances and what was transpiring. You understand the Ravens moving on. Why do the Steelers get higher seed than the Texans? Makes no sense because they won the division. The division matters. Your team didn't win the division. That's how it works. I know they're trying to say, well, the team that wins the most game,
Starting point is 00:07:36 but there should be value placed on winning the division. Ocho, the Lions beat the playoff-bound Bears 1916, bates, 42-yard field goal as time expired. Jerry golf and Detroit Lions entered the season as their sights on the Super Bowl. Now they're missing the playoff. It's frustrating, Coach Dan Campbell said. So that's what fused you.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Well, we don't want to be doing that again next year. That's not where we want to be. We've got to get in. Remember a couple years ago, there's the NFC championship game. They lost the divisional game. They lost the NFC championship game to the 49ers. They lost the divisional round when they're the number one seed to the commanders. And then this year, they completely missed the post season.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Yeah. But obviously, they had too many injuries on. They had too many injuries defensively. Obviously, when you had that many injuries, you have to be on point offensive. You can't put the ball in harm's way. Jerry Golf had had some games where you turn the ball over, but the offense sputtered.
Starting point is 00:08:34 They didn't look like they've always looked. Obviously, con Dan Campbell going forward and being very, what's the word of looking for? Being very aggressive. He had 11. Jerry Golf was 37 to 42. 331, one touchdown, one interception. Jermere Gibbs, 19 for 80.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Amman Rosset Brown. Ocho, 11 catches, a buck 39, no touchdown. Jamison Williams, six for 74, no touchdown. Khalif Raymond, three for 52, Jemir Gibbs, three for 30. Y'all don't listen to me. I keep telling y'all, do not let the bat cross your face. Ocho, how many times have we seen Jemir Gibbs scored touchdown on that Texas route where he causes the linebacker's face?
Starting point is 00:09:16 Yeah, every time. They think I'm just making this up. And that's a mismatch, too, huh? Ain't really no backer going to be able to do anything with him anyway. What do you tell, what do they tell you, what do they, what do we always, as an offensive player, what do we say, we've got to cross the defender's face. As a defender, what is the defensive coordinator telling you? Don't let what happen, Ocho. Don't let him cross your face.
Starting point is 00:09:42 I be a damn. Son, sometimes I tell you, it brains with dynamite you couldn't blow your nose. Jeez. Caleb Williams finished the regular season, 20 or 33, 212, 2 touchdowns, one of the receptions. They didn't run the ball particularly well. I think that coming into the game,
Starting point is 00:10:07 there was the third best rushing team in the league. But today, the Lions held them in check, 18 carries 65 yards, Colston Loveland, 10 catches, 91 yards on a touchdown. Jay. Hey. Excuse me, Walker, two catches, 36 yards, a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Luther Burton, the third. Three catches, 35 yards. Cole Komet, one catch. He did catch the two-point conversion. But if I'm not mistaken, I think Caleb Williams finished the season with the most passing yards in Bears history, am I correct? They still, they're the only team in NFL history, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:10:44 that have yet to have a quarterback pass for 4,000 yards. But if I'm not mistaken, I think, Caleb Williams has the most passing. Ocho, the Lions beat the playoff-bound Bears 1916, Bates, 42-yard field goal as time expired. Jerry golf and Detroit Lions entered the season as their sights on the Super Bowl. Now they're missing the playoff.
Starting point is 00:11:04 It's frustrating, Coach Dan Campbell said. So that's what fused you. We don't want to be doing that again next year. That's not where we want to be. We've got to get in. Remember a couple of years ago, there's the NFC championship game. They lost the divisional game.
Starting point is 00:11:23 They lost the NFC championship game to the 49ers. They lost the divisional round when they're the number one seed to the commanders. And then this year they completely missed the postseason. Yeah. But obviously, they had too many injuries on. They had too many injuries defensively. Obviously, when you had that many injuries,
Starting point is 00:11:40 you have to be on point offensively. You can't put the ball in harm's way. Jericho has had some games where you turn the ball over, but the offense sputtered. They didn't look like they've always looked. obviously con Dan Campbell going forward and being very what's the word I'm looking for being very aggressive he had 11 bucks uh Jared golf with 30 27 to 42
Starting point is 00:12:00 3 31 one touchdown one interception Jamir Gibbs 19 for 80 arm and Ross St. Brown Ocho 11 catches a buck 39 no touchdown Jameson william six for 74 no touchdown calif raymond three for 52 Jamir Gibbs three for 30 y'all don't listen to me I keep telling y'all Do not let the back cross your face.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Ocho, how many times have we seen Jemir Gibb scored touchdown on that Texas route where he causes the linebacker's face? Yeah, every time. They think I'm just making this up. And that's a mismatch too, Unk. Ain't really no backer going to be able to do anything with him anyway. What do you tell, what do they tell you, what do we always, as an offensive player, what do we say,
Starting point is 00:12:46 we've got across the defender's face? as a defender what is the defensive coordinator to tell of you don't let what happen oh cho don't let him cross your face not be a damn son sometimes i tell you your brains with dynamite you couldn't blow your nose oh geez Caleb Williams finished the regular season 20 or 33 212 two touchdowns one of the receptions
Starting point is 00:13:18 They didn't run the ball particularly well. I think that coming into the game, there was a third best rushing team in the league. But today, the Lions held them in check. 18 carries 65 yards. Colston Loveland, 10 catches, 91 yards of a touchdown. Jayne. Excuse me, Walker, two catches, 36 yards, a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Luther Burton, the third. Three catches, 35 yards. Cold command, one catch. He did catch a two-point conversion. But if I'm not mistaken, I think Caleb Williams finished the season with the most passing yards in Bears history, am I correct?
Starting point is 00:13:54 They still, they're the only team in NFL history, Ocho, that have yet to have a quarterback pass for 4,000 yards. But if I'm not mistaken, I think Caleb Williams has the most... Okay, new year, fresh start. And honestly, I'm starting with dinner. This year, I'm being smarter about where my energy goes,

Starting point is 00:17:10 Good luck with that. Good luck with that is a skateboarding. podcast that is part cultural record, part news brief, mostly group therapy, and a place to talk about the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding. This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vasencelos, and Alex White, we have Fabiana Delfino on the show, a professional skateboarder from Florida, whose grit was forged in a family of athletes. Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys club, what it takes to be pro, and why just being grateful you're here shouldn't be the price of entry. Maybe the industry thinks that
Starting point is 00:17:42 we just started skating five years ago because that's when they maybe started paying attention. It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the years, stacking clips and receipts, and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up. You break down the door, sick, now, like, hold the door for everyone. We created good luck with that because we want to share our experience of existing in an industry
Starting point is 00:18:01 that wasn't always built for everyone. So listen to good luck with that on iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Also, the Eagles, Nick Sarayani stood by resting many of his starters in the regular season finale against the commanders, even though the decision negatively affected its team seating. The Eagles needed to win over Washington Day plus a bear's loss, excuse me, to the Lions to move into the number two seed. Yes, the two seed. Instead, they lost, and so they get the number three seed. The Lions held up their end.
Starting point is 00:18:41 they won 19 to 16 but the Eagles lost 2417 locking them into the three seed on the matchup with the six-seeded 49ers. Remember, Ocho? Yeah. Two years, three years ago this was the matchup in which Purdy
Starting point is 00:18:57 hurt his arm and basically they had to run wildcat. Christian McCaffrey was trying to throw passes, Debo was trying to throw passes so this is kind of rematching for the NFC championship game. Ocho, do you have any problem with the Eagles doing what they did.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Absolutely not. Seriani and Seriani, I'm sure Seriani talked to the boys. Listen, I'm going to rest y'all. I want y'all nice, fresh, and healthy. For those of you that are banged up, I want to, for those of you that are hurt right now or have little nicks and whatever it may be,
Starting point is 00:19:28 I'm going to give you a week off because I want you to heal. I want to be fresh. I don't care what seed we are. I don't care what seed we are. We're going to find out who we plan. Y'all going sit here and watch all my backups and my third stringers.
Starting point is 00:19:40 y'all getting all your action today y'all get your action day whether we win or not I'm not tripping we're not worried about the results on anyone else's game and where it puts us at whatever season we at y'all going to be ready to go when it's time to play honestly I like it I like it especially with the way
Starting point is 00:19:59 the way they've looked they've been up and down all season long nah it's one game now it's one game I go home it's one game I go home it don't matter it don't matter when we see it we don't really see it It's still one game. We don't care whether we get a high seat, we get a low seat.
Starting point is 00:20:15 We still have to play the game of football. Y'all make it seem like any of these teams can't kick your ass. They're in the playoffs. At this point. At this point. They're in the playoffs. And I get it. It's like, well, wouldn't you rather face the Packers?
Starting point is 00:20:30 No, I'd rather place nobody. But unfortunately, I got to play somebody to advance. Ain't nobody forfeiting. Everybody's going to show up. They're going to, look, they're going to tee the ball up. they're going to kick it off to us first or we're going to kick it off to them first but at some point in time
Starting point is 00:20:45 we're going to play 60 minutes and if we don't just get it done in 60 minutes we're going to go overtime for 10 minutes but we're going to decide if somebody's going to advance it's really that simple so you man I'd rather play this team
Starting point is 00:20:57 and you must ride and catch a hot team and they light your ass up then what yep and you'd be mad and matter of fact that hot team that light your ass up could be a lower seat and what happens you go out there and you get Jaila Hertz nicked
Starting point is 00:21:09 You go get Devonte play, but you get A.J. Nick, or you get one of those defense. You get Michael or Mitchell, excuse me, Mitchell or Dijan. You get them Nick. Then what? Man, I don't know why you're playing them. You already in the playoffs. Yeah. It was smart.
Starting point is 00:21:27 It was smart. I agree. It was smart. I agree. I think in a situation like that, there's much more to lose the game. Yeah. Because it's not like, it's not like, okay, if we, now, if there's an opportunity for us to get a buy,
Starting point is 00:21:43 I guarantee you he'd have played him. If it was like it was before Ocho, when you get two buys, I guarantee you he to play them. But when now there's only an opportunity, there's only going to be one buy, and that, that buy is was already substantiated, was validated last night. No, I'm good, because I ain't been to get no guys, Nick.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Hell no. Help y'all. Makes So that's where we are right now, Ocho. Josh Johnson, this is the first touchdown past Josh Johnson thrown in how long? His first win,
Starting point is 00:22:24 when was the last time Josh Johnson won a game? How long it's been? Well, he ain't won that many. He won that video, Joe. Josh, hey, Josh now played for a few teams, uh-uh. This is the first game he's won. This is the second game he's won in his whole career.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Real? I think he's his first touchdown pass he's thrown since 21. But, hey, congratulations to Josh, man. Since 21. Congrats, bro. Hey. Hey, hey, keep drawing, cool. Stay in there long as you can.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Make them kick you out. Hey. Hey, y'all can have to kick. Hey, y'all will kick me out. Hey, one thing about being a backup quarterback, you can play that thing damn near 20 years. But see, you can be a backup quarterback when you don't have to expect, when you haven't been great.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Great players, it's hard for them to be a backup. Right. Well, good players can be a backup. When that's mainly what you're, you've been. There's a backup. Hey, you're serviceable.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Yes. Yes. You get a guy like John McCown. You get a guy like Fitzpatrick. They're going to play 15, 16, 17, 17, 18 years. But when you've been a starter,
Starting point is 00:23:50 see, when you've been a starter, Ocho, no matter how old you get, people have the same level of expectations. You mean a star. People have the same level
Starting point is 00:23:59 of expectation for LeBron at 41. They had for him at 27. See, You don't get to be that role player to coming up the bench, the seventh, eighth guy, play 15, 16 years. Nah, bro, they see LeBron James. Right.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Aaron Rogers. Any great player, they see that. All they see is Aaron Rogers. They expect Aaron Rogers to be a four-time league MVP. So that's why it's easy. You see the guy, man, man, that you can play. How many years? A bunch of years ain't starting none of them.
Starting point is 00:24:34 They don't let me and you get no years, oh, Cho. Oh, no. But that's all you, okay. All right, go home. Yeah. That's all you got. You could go home now. But no, I don't have a problem.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I thought Tanner McKee late. Tiana McKee was 21 of 40, 241, one touchdown, one interception, tank big, a bigsby, 16 for 75. They ran the ball 19 times for 80 yards, basically four yards to carry. Devonte got his thousand yards, right? That's what Devante needed. He got his thousand yard. Let DeVante get his thousand.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Get up out of there. Get up out of there. I thought Jeremiah Trotton, Jr. played well. He stopped to run. His dad, that's what his dad was. Dad, would you come down here? Yeah, he was a thump.
Starting point is 00:25:17 He was a thumpur, boy. But no, I thought, look, he did, they did what they were supposed to do. Let's get healthy. Right. Look, we know what, we know what the 49ers represent. but I want to be healthy. I want my guys as healthy as possible going into this ball game.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Right. And this is a funny thing about it too. The 49ers, as great as they are offensively, the defense is not that good. The goddamn, they don't have no rush. Yeah, that's why I say, hold on, that's why I say it offensively, but the Eagles match up with they as bar for bar
Starting point is 00:25:54 on every level. At the receiver position, being able to stifle McCaffrey, the Eagles are one of the few teams that have a defense that can deal with all the things that Shanahan offense does as well. I agree. So that's why,
Starting point is 00:26:08 that's even better. I know who we got? We got who? Okay, Bet. Hold my beer. That's going to be a good game. It's going to be a good game. But obviously, because the Eagle defense is so good
Starting point is 00:26:20 and because they match up well, it's a perfect matchup for the Eagle defense, I got them winning the game anyway. It's going to be a good game. It's going to be a very good game. But right now, the two hottest teams going into the playoffs, the Seahawks and the Jacksonville Jags.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Oh, yeah, absolutely. Jacksonville Jags, man. Absolutely. Hey, I don't know what Trevor Lauren did before the season. I don't know what young boy did before the season started. Yeah, but the Eagles, the number three seed, draw the number six seed and the San Francisco 49ers. That game is on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:26:58 So tune in. Let's see if the Eagles start their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champs. It's going to be a very interesting matchup. You get Brock Purdy against Jalen Hurts. May the best team win. Hey, one game, mom. Okay, new year, fresh start. And honestly, I'm starting with dinner.
Starting point is 00:27:24 This year, I'm being smarter about where my energy goes. And dinner was taking way too much of it. The Cowboys 3414 in the season finale, Giants owner John Mara got a season ending gift from the team three months into his cancer treatment. Mara got a game ball in an emotional locker room scene after the Giants beat the Cowboys to finish their lost season on a two-game winning streak. Beating Dallas and other results around the NFL took the Giants out of the running for the top pick in the draft, made them fall to the fifth pick. Here's the current order of the draft.
Starting point is 00:31:53 The Las Vegas Raiders Pick number one The Jets pick number two Cardinals pick three Titans four Giants fifth Browns six Commanders seventh
Starting point is 00:32:05 Saints Eight Chiefs ninth Bengals 10th And we And we got a 10th I know I know for us
Starting point is 00:32:19 I can only speak on us I can't speak on any other teams And what their needs may be but I know what our need is. Our need is defense. So with that 10th pick, we're going defense. I'm not sure of what position. Well, I tell you what if Bain is there,
Starting point is 00:32:31 you better take him. Bain is not making it past five, I can tell you that. Right now, Fernando Mendoza is number one. Dante Moore is number two. Averro Reese, a lineback of Ohio State, is three. Ruben Bain, Junger,
Starting point is 00:32:47 four, to the Titans. Carnell Tate, number five, wide receiver, Ohio State. State, Jordan Tyson, ride receiver, Arizona State, Cleveland, Caleb Downs, safety, Ohio State, commanders, Jeremiah Love, running back, Saints, Spencer for now, offensive tackle, Utah, David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech, Bengals. That's the early pre-draft. That's what they, you know, that's where they have marked. That's the early mark, Coach. Right. I mean, obviously some of those things will change outside of the top three.
Starting point is 00:33:28 The top three are sealed and delivered. Sealed and delivered, especially obviously with the first pick, whoever has the first pick, obviously they need a quarterback. Raiders, and Jets. Yeah, this is what bothers me. This is what bothers me. When you have a team that are picking first, you know you're getting the quarterback,
Starting point is 00:33:49 but the quarterback can go into such a bad team. Most of the time, the quarterbacks are not the type of quarterbacks that can elevate your franchise right away. It's just not. And they don't have enough around them for them to play up to their standards. And that's the part that actually sucks. And then most of the time, they also don't have the motherfucking patience to develop said quarterbacks that they pick with the first pick. I mean, most people owe you, when they spend $30, $40 million, $50 million for a house, are you going to wait three years to move in or are you trying to move in right away?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Well, when you, hey, listen, when you put it that way, hey, when you put it that way, but also you understand what you're picking. You know good and goddamn well if you have a franchise altering quarterback or not with the first pick. You already know because you're watching film. You're watching film. you know if you bring him in what it's going to look like if you know you ain't got
Starting point is 00:34:55 none for him to work with you're right you ain't you ain't wrong you're right uh... Dak Prescott was 7 of 11 70 yards Joe Milton was 7 to 13 73 yards
Starting point is 00:35:10 Ryan Flanoy was 5 and 68 Spanford was 2 of 30 George Pickens one of 9 see they had one for four look I think the thing is I love the fact that that they got DAC out
Starting point is 00:35:25 DAC doesn't need to have any more offseason surgery he comes back healthy they just need to build the defense I think they have I would bring I would look to try to bring Giovante Williams back I'm doing everything I possibly can to bring a pick back
Starting point is 00:35:39 but I'm also looking to rebuild my offensive line now maybe maybe they take the left guard Smith and kick him out to left tackle and take Guyton from left tackle and moving the right tackle. Maybe you mix and match some pieces like that, but you got to get better defensively, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:35:52 You do. You need better backers. You need another premium rush or outside, and I'm not so sure you don't need safety help or maybe even a corner. Because you lost Trayvon Diggs. I don't know the extent of DeRon Blan's injury, but you got to get better defensively
Starting point is 00:36:07 if you want to compete. You just do it. Because you look at Seattle, you look at the Rams, you look at the 49ers, you look at the Eagles, you look at the teams and at the, bro
Starting point is 00:36:17 bro you're behind them you're behind them you need multiple pieces they need one or they need one piece maybe two pieces you need multiple yeah but also you have to think how long it took those those teams you just named how long did it take them to get to that point
Starting point is 00:36:41 where they only need one or two pieces Ah, man, that's crazy. David and Kline had himself today. He did have three sacks today. They're definitely going to look to bring him back, but I'm not so sure other teams are not going to get involved now. How many sacks did David have? Like eight?
Starting point is 00:37:10 Eight sacks now, all of a sudden, he ain't going to be playing and looking to be playing on a three, four. million dollar deal. You're going to be looking to get eight to ten. Yeah. Eight and a half. Matthew Stafford threw four touchdown passes at Ocho. Rams beat the card on 3720 to secure the number 5C to prepare for the playoffs. Rams dressed starters, dressed their starters for a fairly meaningless
Starting point is 00:37:37 regular season finale and an opponent that hadn't won in two months. The Rams didn't even look ready for the modest test, let alone the postseason. When Sean McVeigh, players found themselves trailing late in the third, Matthew Stafford said it was what we needed to happen. It kind of put our minds into it. Matthew Stafford passed
Starting point is 00:37:56 Dan Marino for 7th on the NFL career touchdown list while finishing his career for season, excuse me, his season with an MVP caliber. He led the league in passing yards, 4,747. He led the league in passing touchdowns, 46, the second most in league,
Starting point is 00:38:12 in league history by a quarterback at least 37 years of age or older. He's the MVP. You're going to look at the sports button. Now he's back leapfrogged Drake May. At the last week, at the last week performance, he's leapfrogged Drake May after today. 46 and 8, 4,700 yards?
Starting point is 00:38:32 Yeah. I'm just asking. I'm just curious. He got, how many touchdowns that Drake May throw for? 31, 32? Because he's like 13, 14, 14 picks in front. I mean, 13, 14. touchdowns in front of him.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Yeah. I mean, listen, you heard all the Rumlins last week because Matt Stafford had a, he had a bad, bad week last week. And obviously, oh, everybody, Drake May's the MVP, Drake May's the MVP. I'm just curious because Drake may have one hell of a season too long. Drake may had one hell of a season, and he's worthy of the MVP conversation as well.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Hey, but listen, what we saw Matt Stafford do? Uh, Super Bowl winning quarterback. He should look like this. And Pooka to Cool. He should, he should look like this with Pooka and Devonty Adam. Devonte had, he don't tell him what he would have because you know Devonte will score a machine. Oh yeah, he got 14 TD, he played.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah, that's crazy. Hey, it's amazing. Amazing. Who led the league in reception? Hey, look at the, hey, look at, hey, look at the quarterbacks Devonty then had and went to Stafford and Aaron Rogers. Yeah, but he would, he, he, a two gun slingers. Remember, he had 15, 16 touchdowns with Derek Carr.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Remember his first year he had 50 hundred yards and 15 touchdown. If I'm not mistaken, 15 touchdowns with Derek Carr, his former college quarterback. Hey, Derek Carr is a gunslinger. A lot of people forget that. Pugin the cool and led to the league in reception, though. So he finished his season with 179. He also went over 1,700 yards. But Jackson Smith and Jigba, JASN led to league and receiving yardage with 1700.
Starting point is 00:40:11 in 17193, if I'm not mistaken. I think Pooka had, what, 1709? 1715. Pooka had 1715. JSC and had 1793. But Pooka had 190, Puka had 129 receptions. I think.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Uh, McBride had 126 and Chase had 125. So Chase did lead the AFC and receptions again. Right. Hey, man. You know what my numbers would it look like with 125 receptions? No, what you mean? Well, with that been in receptions, Ocho, you know you got to catch a lot of smoke screens.
Starting point is 00:41:03 You ain't just getting no deep balls now. Hey, I forget deep ball. Just running routes. Just, just running routes. Let me run Rouse. I don't want no, I don't want no smoke screens. I don't need no trick, please. How many, how many smoke screens you think are a puga catch?
Starting point is 00:41:21 Exactly. How many, Chase, Chase ain't just catch a square house, man. You got a hundred twenty-five catch-a-lo-cho. I can't just throw you square-hounds posts and digs. Hey. I got to get you the ball, Joe. I got to get you the ball quick. I got to let you do something with it.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Yeah, hey, they so creative. They are. They are. They are. with the way they get them the ball and then them too they can do so much once they get that that box in their hands man man i can man i can't do that i can't do none of that break what tackle man man pooh could be making catches pook could be catching one hand man you see them catches pook will be making yeah i'm like damn hey 50 50 ball with him turned the 99 10 but i think
Starting point is 00:42:07 matthew staffer with today i think uh matthew stafford is going to win the MVP he's probably going to be rookie of the year as well. Maybe JSN, excuse me, maybe JSN win offensive player of the year. But I think Matthew Stafford sold up MVP. It's been a no-brainer. Miles Garrett is going to be a unanimous defensive player of the year. Rookie of the year, is it going to be McMillan
Starting point is 00:42:36 or is it going to be Tyler Shook? Interesting. you know what the waist shook look the last what six seven weeks they probably leaned to more lean toward more him because remember they gave it to him i thought he played extremely well uh chase had 1450 something yards but you had justin herbert do what he did through for over 4,000 broke the passing yards record with yardage and touchdown so he got that so they're probably leaned towards a quarterback but hey, I think McMillan had a hell of a season.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Went over 1,000 yards as a rookie. Remodre Jameson, Scored three touchdowns. Playoff Bound Patriots beat the Dolphys 3810. Stevenson rushed seven times for 131 yards. New England posted the first sweep of the Dolphins since 2016. The Patriots finished their 14 and 3 season with the most victory since they won the Super Bowl in 2016. The AFC East champions are the number two seed
Starting point is 00:43:38 and host the seven-seat charges in the wildcard game. Denver, preventing New England from earning the top seed by beating the charges 19 to 3. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Patriots have the most 14-win seasons in the NFL history. I think they have, what, five or six, Sash? Patriots, dolphins. Damn, my dolphins, man. We're going to rebound next year, though, huh? So how many seasons they got?
Starting point is 00:44:10 Six. six 14 win seasons yeah we're gonna rebound next year don't worry about it Guppeth ain't doing nothing y'all feed the fish all you're gonna do is make
Starting point is 00:44:24 all y'all gonna make to do is patrons and the bills get fat y'all feed a fish nah nah we're good we're good listen we hey listen we're bringing Troy
Starting point is 00:44:31 Troy Eggman in for a reason huh he ain't playing quarterback we're gonna get this thing he ain't playing quarterback he gonna get this thing together though he can get it together, we're going to be all right.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Don't worry about it. Watch what I tell you. Tarek coming back, too? He's not coming back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we're going to work on a nice team-friendly deal. We're good. He ain't looking with no team for you.
Starting point is 00:44:57 He's good. He's going to be back. Drake May 14 of 18, 191, one touchdown. Joshua Jobs, 3-0.24, 23 yards. Remandre Stevenson, seven carriers, a book 31, two touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Trayvon Henderson, 13 carries, 53 yards, two touchdown. Drake May, five carries, 41 yards. They ran the ball 34 times, 243 yards, four touchdown. Stefan Diggs had three for 43, went over a thousand yards, went over for a thousand yards receiving for the season, Ocho. Got him a nice chunk of change for breaking up, Mark, and when his incentive clause. Patriots look good.
Starting point is 00:45:39 They look good. They look really good. Yes, they do. They look like this all season long. That's the funny thing about it. How the hell they didn't lose to the Raiders? Hey, it's amazing. Hey, any, hey, you know, you know the motto.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Any given Sunday. No matter how good you are, it can happen. A bad team could just have your number that day. You're right, don't you? You're not wrong when you're right. Well, the Seattle Seahawks are the number one seed, and they win the NFC. They get two birds with one stone. They go on the road and take down a very red-hot San Francisco 49er team by the score of 13-3.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Their defense was outstanding. We can't reiterate that enough. There's not enough adjective to describe what this defense did tonight to a very hot and a very good 49er office. They made Brock, I mean, he threw 427 yards. They had less than, they had 180 yards of total offense. In their own building, Christian McCaffer had 23 rush yards and 34 receiving yards. Sam Darnel was 20 of 26, 198, zero touchdown, zero interceptions. They ran the ball extremely well, 39 rush attempts, 180 yards and a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:47:06 Jackson Smith and Jigba, six catches, 184 yards. I think he would, well, he's over 1,800, Ocho. He should, he should be by, might be over 1900. He should be by now, yeah, he should be. And only three guys in the history of the NFL have ever had at least 1900 yards receiving. He's one of them, Cooper Cup,
Starting point is 00:47:25 and obviously Calvin Johnson, who has the record. But Seattle was impressive tonight, Ocho. What did you like about, what did you like most about what you saw from the Seahawks? Listen, what I like most about what I saw from the Seahawks is, for one, Sam Donald. He didn't do what is always harmed him. especially last year in the playoffs
Starting point is 00:47:40 and important games and important situations, he turned the ball over. He'd been turnover prone towards the end of the season this year as well. But this game, Unk, he was clean. But I want to give Mike McDonald
Starting point is 00:47:50 I don't know what kind of speech he had before the game for that defense to play their way they played tonight. But they did, they had every answer for everything the 49ers wanted to run offensively.
Starting point is 00:48:02 I've never seen, it's happened very few times where he's seen a 49th's offense get shut out like this. Christian McCaffrey, who's able to do so much offensive for them because they can put him in so many positions to make plays and find the mismatches for him.
Starting point is 00:48:16 They played it extremely well all night long. Obviously, Brock Purdy turned the ball over one time. Christopher, who has always had sure hands, he let one get away from him and turn the ball over. It looked like it got tipped, though. It did. The guy tipped, they kind of threw it off balance. But it looked like CMAQ wanted to do something
Starting point is 00:48:37 like he wanted to catch it. Yeah, reverse up out of that. Yeah, but other than that, man, this was a beautiful game, very low scoring. Obviously, if you're offered the type of guy like myself, you want to see more points scored and you want to see the Seahawks take advantage of some of those outings that they had, including the one where they got interception, but they weren't able to do anything with it. The 49th defense played well as well, but they couldn't get anything going offensively at all. Well, I thought the difference in the ball game, look, from a Seattle perspective,
Starting point is 00:49:12 you mentioned Sam Donald did not put the ball in harm's way. Yeah, he's thrown 26 touchdowns, but he has 20 turnovers. And if you go back and look at them, the games that they lost, turnovers were heavily involved. Now, they did win a game. I think they won a game against who, with the Rams, where they turned the ball over a bunch and they still was able to win the ball game. But if you look at his history, when he turns the ball over,
Starting point is 00:49:32 there's a great chance that his team's going to lose the game. But this defense is playing. well. They played a lot of cover two tonight because they believe they can start, they believe that they can stop their running game with that front four. Say, we got seven. We don't need to do anything special. And they, you know, they were and they got after them with that front four. I thought D-Lawed them. I thought those guys played really, really well. The DB stuck to the receiver, Ocho, and Ernest Jones the fourth. And the rest of those crew, they did a great job of neutralizing the run,
Starting point is 00:50:00 putting enough pressure on Brock Purdy where he couldn't get comfortable. And the, the longest completion tonight, Ocho. What, maybe. How many? George Kittle. The longest completion tonight was 20 yards. They only had a hundred and 27 yards
Starting point is 00:50:13 on 27. That was a kiddle, right? That was the one in the kiddle? Yeah. Yes. Yep. Yes. Watching Seattle, you know,
Starting point is 00:50:23 obviously, you know, watching them, I probably watched them probably about four or five times this year, Ocho. Their defense is better than advertised. Absolutely. Absolutely. And if you remember, Ocho, the last time the Ravens defense has been good,
Starting point is 00:50:34 he coordinated it, the head coach of the Seahawks coordinator. Remember, they lost the championship game. I think they lost what, 14, 13, 14, 10, something like that. And then he ends up getting out of there and he gets the head coaching job at Seattle. That was the last time the Ravens defense looked competent. Yeah. If they play, Ocho, based on what I've seen on every team in the EFC. Now, you know, any given Sunday, anything, any given Sunday, any given Saturday,
Starting point is 00:51:00 anything could happen. But if the Seahawks play like this, they're in a team in the NFL. Not the Eagles, not the Rams, not the 49ers, not Carolina, Tampa. Now, if I'm, Sam, Fran, I'm not that disappointed. Whoever the five seats should be jumping over joy. Because you're going to get Tampa, you're going to get Carolina. And you avoid, you're going to avoid, you're going to avoid, I'm not so sure anybody's really afraid of the Eagles as much as their, maybe last year, but they haven't been clicking on anything. They hadn't looked really expressive this year.
Starting point is 00:51:31 but if the Seahawks play like this, you're going to catch hell going to Seattle and beat them. With the 12th man, like I said, I'm saying they play like this. That means Sam Donald doesn't turn the ball over. He turns the ball over all bets or off because you can end up somebody getting a scoop and score of pick six or you sit them up on a short field.
Starting point is 00:51:51 Excuse me, Chad. But if you have to drive the ball of this defense, with those two corners and those balls. It ain't happening. I don't see it, Ocho. I don't. Not happening at all. With the spoon, hey, I don't see it.
Starting point is 00:52:03 We talk about that front four, the first level. They got them back in playing well, too. Oh, you got Wallin, they got spoon. Man, they're playing. They're playing really well. Look, Josh Job, look, they got guys that, look, it's hard to explain, Ocho, but just looking at them, their fundamentalist sound. Wherever you catch the ball at, they normally get you down there. And they come in a hurry.
Starting point is 00:52:30 They do a lot of gang times. There ain't a lot of one-on-one. Hey, the D-Line, hey, they see the ball thrown, they turn it and go away. This was impressive tonight. To go on the road and be the team that's been as hot as the 49ers has been. Hold on, let me pull up some stats on you right quick.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Let me see what this thing. Because they did the job. The 49ers had nine first down, Zochel. That's it. There were two or nine. on third down. There were two on four down, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:05 They had 173 total yards. Time of possession, 37, almost 38 minutes to 22 minutes. That's crazy. That's crazy. Had, and this game really shouldn't have been close. No. They were all three in the red zone.
Starting point is 00:53:27 They missed a field goal, and they had the center for field goals. But, I mean, they were down to. could have got points out of those. Give the 40, but I was surprised what I was really surprised by, one of the things that I, let me know what you think,
Starting point is 00:53:40 is that how well Seattle ran the ball against the 49ers? Ocho, 3 and 17, and you run a handoff and you pick it up and 19, yeah. That's crazy. You know what? It's third down, right? Third and 17,
Starting point is 00:53:53 most of the time you want to play it safe. I'm sure in that situation, they should have known it was going to be a run. It was going to be a draw, some type of hand. off in general, I mean, yes, they backed up. Why are you backed up? Why are you playing the past, especially in that situation?
Starting point is 00:54:09 I don't understand. And Kenneth, and they get, but you got Seattle backed up. So, you know, and it's not like they totally trusted because like, oh, okay. Let's, hey, let's just run the ball. Hey, do something, do something, you know, easy. Defense is playing well. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:54:25 Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, listen, I don't, I don't understand how that even work. Brock Purdy did not have his finest hour tonight. He had been playing extremely well. And I'm not, you know, like I said, it's one game based on the body of work. I think he's shown that he's more than capable and more than confident. He went to an NFC championship game.
Starting point is 00:54:49 He took a team to the Super Bowl. He kind of got, he'd been beat up a little bit since then. But I don't really have any major concerns about him. It was just that this was a total, this was more so what Seattle. did do, not so much of what the 40-9ers didn't do. I think sometimes, Ocho, we get caught up like, oh, my goodness, I can't believe they did that. Where they weren't going seven-on-seven,
Starting point is 00:55:10 they weren't going against themselves, or they wasn't going against air. They was going against a very competent defense, a team that can get out of you with their front four. They're really solid on the back ears. Ernest Jones, Jr., excuse me, Jr., the fourth, is a tackling machine. They fly around to the football.
Starting point is 00:55:25 This is a very good team, a very well-coct team, that's put together John Snyder probably doesn't get enough credit but you look at what they have a lot of these guys are they drafted these guys now they did sign D-law they did make the trade for Big Leonard Williams they got Ernest Jones basically
Starting point is 00:55:43 for little of nothing but he's been they make the trade for Shaheed that really broke the game on he was the guy that flipped the script when they were playing at home against the Rams because he was the one they got them started with that punt return
Starting point is 00:55:58 and then he catches a big a jail break screen and get going out the house out of the house but I was shocked I was shocked how how Seattle made the 49ers look
Starting point is 00:56:15 because I think the 49ers are I've never seen it was like Kyle was like you're just going up and down that call she's trying to find something to work actually and it seemed like everything he calls McDonald and their defense they had answer for it
Starting point is 00:56:28 everything answer for it so what you're thinking who you who do you who do you I mean look the Rams 49ers Seahawks we know they're in it's going to be either Carolina or it's going to be uh Tampa and then you look at NFC East it's uh the Eagles and it's going to be Green Bay Chicago yeah I just I it's just hard for me to see a scenario with someone. Like I said, turn the ball over in the playoffs. All best are off.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I don't give a damn who you are. But just looking at the teams and the way they've played thus far, Seattle's defense is outstanding. Amazing. And you're going to have to go there to beat them. You're going to have to go there to beat them. It's going to be a tough task.
Starting point is 00:57:19 It's going to be a tall attack. Especially not only, forget the defense, forget the offense, having to deal with that crowd. You can't hear nothing in that stadium. right and they got uh and jigba who's a matchup nightmare i don't care who your corners are so don't get uh mitchell and jean they're not seeing this dude one-on-one they don't like to play a whole lot of one of them they they believe they can stop your run with their front floor they
Starting point is 00:57:46 like to play now they will they will play coverage they will play uh cover one they will play they go man but jigua is just man that's your cat quick he is i mean he is super duper quick and you better not miss it's a rap you better get both hands on him because if you don't it's a rap and the funny thing about it is he got your wallet and he's not a speed burner uh he's not he's not a speed burner but he just he's quick old joe and fast and not not on that he's quick and then he knows he's a elite route runner elite and very very good at being able to manipulate whatever's in front of him and make sure he creates separation Yeah, and he's unbelievable at that.
Starting point is 00:58:33 It's going to be interesting to see because if you think about it, the Eagles really haven't run the ball all year. Chicago has one of the best rushing attacks. We'll see what they can do with that. But the question is, we know Seattle has home. So that means Chicago will be the two seed. The Eagles will be the three seed. So that means, so right now who's who, who's,
Starting point is 00:58:58 Who's the three? What's five, six? So, Niners are five, Rams are six. So that means the Rams go to a Philly. That means the Niners get the winner of Tampa and Carolina. I mean,
Starting point is 00:59:18 if Atlanta wins, Carolina's in the playoff. If New Orleans wins, Tampa's in the playoffs. So that means Green Bay is the seven seats. So they go to the, the two-seat, which would be the Bears. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:33 So now, I mean, the Bears are going to play because, look, they by the head, I think Caleb Williams, if he throws for like 200 and something yards, he'll be the first 4,000-yard passer in Bears history. Now, you talk about a team, they talk about a team that's damn near over 100 years old, and they've never had a 4,000-yard passer. That's crazy. They're the only team, I think, if I'm not mistaken, in NFL history that's never. had a 4,000-yard passer.
Starting point is 01:00:00 That's crazy. So you see how this thing is headed. Rams going to Philly. 49ers are going to be on the road at either Carolina or Tampa, and Green Bay is going to be on the road again against Green Bay. I mean, excuse me, going to be on the road against Chicago. And see Al will be at home with the heels kicked up, saying, we get who we get.
Starting point is 01:00:22 It don't matter. We get who we get. Do you think about teams to get the body? at NFL, and you look at the teams in college football that have gotten the by, do you think that the same effect in having rushed as opposed to the teams that get a buy weekend college, or you don't think that really affects NFL? You know, it all depends. Turnovers, they're so weight, it's so heavy come postseason time, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:00:53 That momentum swings, I'm talking about, that momentum swings quick. and before you know it where you're normally down seven you're probably down 1417 and especially if you're at home because now every third down you don't get your crowd get antsy they get real quiet they start to boot
Starting point is 01:01:12 the opposing team start to feel bigger life um but we've seen I mean we've seen Kansas City going the road it all depends how well can your quarterback handle adversity
Starting point is 01:01:32 that's the key that's the key and for the most part Hertz and Purdy are the only ones that's been in this situation Sam Donald has never had to win a playoff game on the road he's never done it remember how bad he went to
Starting point is 01:01:49 Detroit last year and looked off it that was bad this will be Caleb Williams' first time in the postseason. Jordan Love has had some success in the postseason. He did go to Dallas and drop 48 on them. So Matt Stafford has gone on the road and beat Tampa with Tom Brady and went on and win a Super Bowl. So you look at the quarterbacks that's been in these situations before
Starting point is 01:02:14 and you probably give them a slight nod, but Seattle's defense is a neutral. It's an equalizer. It's the end of the equalizer. It's going to be the difference. It's going to be the difference. If Sam Donald plays the way he does in the offseason without turn the ball over, without putting the ball in harm's way, with that defense, that Seattle's playing right now, now I'm not saying they're not the Legion of Boom.
Starting point is 01:02:37 They're not that. They're not that. But they damn show where it's good, where it can be the reason they can hold that goddamn trophy up because I don't see, I don't see the offense in the AFC that's that high-powered that can create that many mismatches where they can have success going up and down the field on that defense. I don't.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Yeah, I don't either. I don't either. I mean, all things being equal, AFC, I would probably give the nod to Josh Allen because he's been in the playoffs in these situations more times than not. He's a guy that legs and the moment. And he does a great job come playoff time
Starting point is 01:03:20 of taking care of the football. Now, his bugger boo was early in his career in the regular season turning it over. And that's what got them in harm's way. But he's done a fairly good job come postseason time of taking care of the football. He's played really well in some games that he happened to be opposite of Patrick Mahomes
Starting point is 01:03:34 who's kind of one-uped him. But I agree. I mean, I think that's the thing that fans love most about the NFL, Joe, is one game. I ain't got to beat you four times. I just got to beat you one.
Starting point is 01:03:50 I got to beat you one Saturday, one Sunday. That's it. I like it. That's it. That's all I got to do. Kenneth Walker, 16 carries 97 yards. Zach Sharbonnet, 17 carries 74 yards. I thought Sam Donald made some great plays with his legs.
Starting point is 01:04:12 He bought some time. Find Cooper Cup. Ball some time. Follow J.S.N. I thought he did a great job of, buying time with the legs, letting new guys work their way, find a final way to get open
Starting point is 01:04:25 and doing a great job. Look, he's not much of a scrambling. Nobody expected him to be. He doesn't have to be. When you got a running game like that, they can run the football. But JSA and you still got a burner, even though Shahid,
Starting point is 01:04:39 he did do a whole lot to passing game tonight. He's more than capable of having a big time game. They just got to put him in position to do it. That's all. That's all to come down to. Hey, you know, how you say the running back name, Chabinay? And he reminds me of Robert Smith from the Vikings. A shirt, short, a long strider shirt tucked in.
Starting point is 01:05:01 Look exactly like Robert Smith, the way you run. But it's going to be a, let the fun begin. But the Seattle Seahawks get the number one seed and they win the NFC West, thanks to a 133 victory on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. They finished the regular season with a 14 and 3 record. 49 to close out the year, considering all the injuries that they've undergone for them to be 12 and 5. And the number 5 seed in the playoffs,
Starting point is 01:05:34 I think that's a pretty good job. I thought Kyle Shaddenhead did a great job of keeping this team together. I thought Matt Jones did a great job of when he came in, of playing at an extremely high level to keep this team. Because, you know, they've had injuries. They've had Williams be out. They had Big Trent, he was out, Kittle missed time, Purdy missed time. They've had a lot of, they've had an influx.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Obviously, Bosa's done, was done for the season early on. But for them to maintain an extremely high level of play and still make the playouts, given the injuries, I think that's a pretty good, I think that's a pretty good accomplishment. They don't feel that way right now considering they had home, they were on their own home turf. and they got out played tonight in all phases, office, defense, and special teams. But 12 and 5 and to get into the playoffs, I think that speaks volume to what type of team they're playing.
Starting point is 01:06:28 But congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks. They win, 13-3, on the road against the 49th, has finished the regular season, 14 and 3, and they will be the number one seed in the NFC. Jackson Smith and Jigba. He finishes the season. Ocho, 119 catches, which ties him for the lead right now. Pooka Nacul has 119, and McBride has 119.
Starting point is 01:06:55 So he's not going to win that. But he finished it with 1793 yards. That's a good scene. Not quite 18. Not quite 18. That's a good season. They've only been a handful of guys that's ever had 18 or 1900 yards. Julio did it.
Starting point is 01:07:11 I think Reverend Ike, Isaac Bruce did it. obviously Jerry did it Cooper Cup had 19 a little little like 1947 Calvin had Megatron had 1964 AB
Starting point is 01:07:28 AB had 18002 they've only been a handful of guys they're probably less than 10 guys that's had 18 or 1900 yards receiving in the history of the NFL I think Bruce never had 18 what do you have? 17 17
Starting point is 01:07:43 okay 17881 All the two with 19 Jerry had 1848 Right Okay Okay So So Tyreek had 1799
Starting point is 01:08:04 Yeah Tariq had 1799 Yeah But he also had another 1700 yard catch season But AFC South title with a 41-7 drubbing of the Titans. The Jags, the 13 and 4 clenched their third division title in nine season. Trevor threw three touchdown passes, breaking the club single season by Mark score.
Starting point is 01:08:30 The Jag earned a home playoff game. Lawrence, meanwhile, closed the regular season with 38 total touchdowns, 29 passing, nine rushing. Blake Borders had a combined 38 in 2015. Lawrence also passed Blake Borders for the second most passing yards in Jags history with 17,646
Starting point is 01:08:50 now he trails Mark Brunel 25,06 98. Yes. Ocho, are we giving the Jags enough credit? No, we're not. Not only that, we're not giving the Jags enough credit. We're not giving the job that
Starting point is 01:09:08 Leanne Coleman is done with the Jaggs. I agree. I don't, I don't know what, I don't know what, I don't know what Leon Cohen said. I'm not sure what he brought in to the culture out there in Duval and Jacksonville. I'm not sure what happened with Trevor Lawrence. What is it about this season that had Trevor Lawrence looking the way he's done, looking the way he's looked all season long? And in, um, they're doing everything.
Starting point is 01:09:33 They're doing all of this. They're playing well defensively. They're playing well offensively at all three phases, in all three phases, at all three levels, right? in the Ferrari your early first round pick didn't even touch the field on the back half of the season. Oh, Joe, I don't think when he comes back,
Starting point is 01:09:52 I don't think they're going to let him play both ways. I think he's going to put him at D.B. You don't think so? I think so. Parker, Washington played out of it. Hey, hey, was he not, hey, was he? He came on the show.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Let me get this right. Was he on the show? Hey, chat, hey, chat. Listen, you can do you can do your home. work, right? Look at everybody we've had on the show that is actively playing in the NFL right now, and I guarantee you they're having a hell of a season. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:10:18 I don't know what it is. Everybody that come on the show, they're just doing phenomenal. Yep. It ain't a coincidence. It's not a coincidence. I mean, remember, Baker had Liam Cohen for two years. Baker had the best two years of his career. Trevor
Starting point is 01:10:36 Lawrence got Leon Cohen for one year, the best season of his career. That's not an accident. That's not an accident. Look at Matthew Stafford when he got with Sean McVeigh. Look at Brock Purdy. He's with, he's with Kyle. They matter. Look at, look at Caleb Williams with Ben Johnson.
Starting point is 01:10:58 Yeah. Look at Jared Gough with Ben Johnson. That's not an accident. Coaching matters. Yes. Coaching matters. Hey, can I have a question too. I love when people say this, right? When, you know coaching does matter, right? But when you have coaches, if you don't have good players, you know, that, that, that, that, that, that disrupts everything.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Because I don't care how way you can coach if the product on the goddamn field is just not good. Sometimes you can overcome, if you're such a great player, Tom Brady didn't matter to coach. Pay matter, no matter to coach. So I'm got, pay, uh, uh, uh, uh, Patrick Mahomes, sometimes on your old, you're so great. Right. I could have coached LT. I could have coach Reggie. I could have coached time.
Starting point is 01:11:46 Sometimes you're so great it doesn't matter. Right. When you're Kareem and you're magic and you, come on, man. Sometimes you're above coaching. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it makes it easy, huh?
Starting point is 01:12:02 It makes it easy. Sometimes when you don't have players with structure and discipline and you actually have to coach, and coaching actually matters. Now, that's when it comes in the play. I mean, it's, it's, you know what I'm talking about. And the people in the chat really understand what I'm saying. What coach could you put over there in Las Vegas with the Raiders right now this year
Starting point is 01:12:21 that had that team that born 11th or not Joe Gillum, not, not, uh, not, uh, coach Walsh, nobody. Yeah, that, I mean, right, that's what I mean. Coach Belichick, nobody with the players that he got, nobody. nobody nobody nobody's helping that nobody's helping that hey y'all thought we forgot but we're going to talk about should do her a little later I know y'all mad
Starting point is 01:12:51 what happened he let let his team down there for the game when they field go who they was playing your team okay but we don't need to talk about it bubble gum bubble gum pop pop bubble gum pop ohcho ocho team a flop
Starting point is 01:13:09 Sheldon's team on top Hey Wait, I thought your team with the Ravens What happened? What are you on you? I thought the team of the Ravens I'm just asking You show had on
Starting point is 01:13:25 Oh, it's so funny Hey, boy But hey, you had on Ravens gear not long ago. What happened? What I got on now? What I got on right now? Hey, you only put on
Starting point is 01:13:37 who's winning. You front running. You can't put on your team. You got to wear, you got to wear your, you got to wear a t-shirt four times, five times this year. Hey, um, the Raven, hey, hold on. My team, now that, now that my two teams are in the playoffs, the Dolphins didn't make it. The Bengals didn't make it. But I still got the bells and the Panthers in the playoffs, huh?
Starting point is 01:14:00 You got the Patriots. You got the Patriots, too. Okay. Okay, the Patriots. Okay, the Patriots. Hey, chat, I call the Bears and the Panthers Even if the Panthers had to rely on another team For them to get in the playoffs, I still called it back in August
Starting point is 01:14:18 I told you, come on, man, here you go Come on, man I put on. Hey, we are Ravens Helmet. I put on for my city, I put on, I'm jeezing, I put on. No, nah, you put on, you put on when whoever's winning, that's what you put on. I got two teams that win a lot. It ain't my fault.
Starting point is 01:14:40 No, no, no, no. You remember that song? It ain't my fault. You got to make up your mind. A, Master P. It ain't my fault. That's mystical, mystical. Did I do that?
Starting point is 01:14:55 Right? Is that how the song go? Why are you mad at me because my team win? I'm not mad. I'm not mad. I'm just saying I don't like that you front run and you only pick the team that's winning. I can't happen because I got two teams
Starting point is 01:15:07 and they win. The Raven didn't win the night. We talked about them. We discussed me. Your team never won. Why you, hold on, we discussed them,
Starting point is 01:15:17 but why you're not wearing their, their memorabilia? Why are you not wearing no raven's up? It's been when I, when most, more time than not, normally what happens is that when the Broncos went, I wear Broncos gear out here.
Starting point is 01:15:31 The other night, the Ravens won with Huntley won against the Packers. I did wear a, a Ravens beating. did. Yeah, see what I mean? See? You're mad, Chad.
Starting point is 01:15:42 He's mad because he don't get to wear no gear. I'm not mad. I'm not mad. The Gulf is always lose. And, hey, listen, when they lose, I still wear their jersey. When the bangles lose, I still wear their stuff. Because I'm a true supporter. I'm a true supporter.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Win, lose, or draw. Well, we just mainly win. All I do is win, win, win, no matter what. Don't even ask what's in my cup in everything. Every time you see me, hands go up, and they stay there out, and they stand there up down, up down, because all I drink it, shay, shay. Hey, hey, we can make a little album, no. We can make a little song. Hey, the Panthers, hey, the Panthers, hey, the Panthers in the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Although, why are you hopping up another team? You ain't even never been to Charlotte. Who ain't ever been to Charlotte? What do you talk about? Man, I've been to Charlotte Motor Speedway. I'd have been to a Panthers game. I don't play it against the Panthers in Charlotte and gave him that work.
Starting point is 01:16:58 What's you talking about? I didn't have been to Charlotte. As a matter of fact, I used to date a girl in Charlotte. Yeah. Now, never forget, 2003. I wonder how she's doing. I don't know. Yeah, I wonder how she doing.
Starting point is 01:17:13 Yeah, in Charlotte. I've been to Charlotte twice. I've been to, uh, Ralea. I've been to Ralea twice. Raleigh. Okay. Close enough. That's how you say it.
Starting point is 01:17:25 How you say it is? You for real? But it's spelled R-A-L-E-I-G-H. Raleigh. That's Ralea. Close enough. Don't worry about it. Yeah, she was nice, too, huh?
Starting point is 01:17:41 My team won. Your team lost. Okay. Now let me celebrate. Go ahead, go ahead and celebrate. Go ahead. I'm going to let me. Matter of fact, go ahead and celebrate because you're going to be feeling the same way I'm feeling in two more weeks anyway.
Starting point is 01:17:55 I ain't tripping. My Broncos, all we do is win, win, win, no matter what. So don't even ask what's in my cup. And every time you see me, cups go up. And they stay down. And they stay down. They stay down. Up down.
Starting point is 01:18:13 And up down. Because all I do is win, win, win, win. Win, win. Keep saying, oh. Hey, I'm going to be a bad. It's one game. Oh, Joe, with his one sack of Joe Burrow in the fourth quarter, Miles Garrett reached 23 for the season,
Starting point is 01:18:35 breaking the NFL. single-season sack record. This push with Garrett, previous record of 22 and a half, set by Pro Football Hall of Famers. Paula Famer, Michael Strayhan, and matched by T.J. Watt. They've been a couple of guys. Justin Houston had 22.
Starting point is 01:18:52 Jared Allen had 22. There have been some 21s, but no one has ever reached the total of 23. And that's what Miles Garrett did. The Salty Bengals weren't happy by the referees allowing the game stoppage for the Browns to celebrate. the record. Let's take a listen to what Zach Taylor had to say after
Starting point is 01:19:10 the game. A long conversation with the officials after the Garrett sack. What was going on there? There's five minutes left in our season. We're playing for our lives here and I was never told that we're going to stop the game
Starting point is 01:19:25 and in a critical moment like that and the refs just said that they made a decision that they were going to stop the game and they said they tried to do it as quickly as possible. I didn't feel that. We didn't sub. We're trying to be on the ball and go and play with tempo. And the Empire just held the ball so that we couldn't do anything. And I'm yelling at Joe, get on the ball. We didn't sub, we're going, and that we couldn't play. And so, again, trying to get an answer was not easy.
Starting point is 01:19:52 They just said that they made a decision as a crew to stop the game when that happened. I guess it didn't matter when it happened. It just, they were going to stop the game and let it happen. And you weren't informed that. No, I was never informed to that. They didn't say one word. We meet with them in the 90 minute meeting before the game. They never said one word about that. officials they make no decision the NFL made a decision yeah i mean doesn't Zach didn't know that what are you thinking so he thought so hold on ocho so let me get this right so he thought they was going to get this let me get this right now at your office so you find a chat follow with me so Zach thought if miles gad break the sack record they're going keep on going just keep going
Starting point is 01:20:31 like nothing happened like it was a normal wait wait wait wait wait give the people context on He broke the NFL record. Since the sack became an official stat in 1982. Prior to 1982, the sack was not an official stat. There are stats where Deacon Jones had 24, 25, Coy Bacon had this or that, whatever the case may be. In 1982, it became an official stat. With that being said, the most sacks ever occurred
Starting point is 01:21:02 in an official season was 22 and a half. Michael Strahan in 2001 and T.J. Watt, I think his was in 2021. That was Gastinoe broke the record. I think Gastinoe did the record. What was in 1984? Yes. I think 22 was the record
Starting point is 01:21:19 by Mark Gastino in 1984. So did this man did he really, really think? Maybe, I don't know. Honestly, with the way he, the way the interview and the seriousness in his tone and face, I really think he thought it was the refs.
Starting point is 01:21:34 understanding that's the NFL call I don't give I don't care how much time on the clock I don't care about the situation that's going on at the time we're going to celebrate Miles Garrett getting that sack no matter what yes hey and in matter of fact I told you I'm going to get my jersey I told you I told you uh a chat you lost chat you told you talking you fighting for your life what life y'all are life support we've been pulling a plug on y'all we We're using your own. We've got our donors. Wait, what you mean?
Starting point is 01:22:08 We wanted to finish our season off the right way. That's what he's. You have Oregon. On your license, you have Oregon donor. No, no. We wanted to finish our season off the right way. Even if we got to go, if we got to go to Cancun, we want to go to Cancun on a high note.
Starting point is 01:22:23 With a W. With a win. That's all. That's all. But, hey, like I. Your heart, we took that. We gave it to somebody that can use it. You love.
Starting point is 01:22:34 We gave that to somebody that can use it. So, okay, you're a donor. I just want you to know. I'm sorry. I appreciate you. I appreciate you. It's all good. Some other team got life thanks to you.
Starting point is 01:22:47 It's all good. Now, I want you to take y'all sad ass home and stop complaining. Y'all lost to the Browns. The Browns. So you, I mean, I mean, we, we're a bad team too. So you, you actually. So you want to talk, hold on, you want to talk about the defense? How many points did the defense give up?
Starting point is 01:23:10 Because you criticize the defense all the time. I want you to get your happy ass on here and tell the chat, how did the Browns get 14 points? Turnovers? No, no, no, no. I want you to say turnovers. Who turned it over? The offense turned the ball. Who?
Starting point is 01:23:30 What do you mean who? When you say who? I want to know. Who turned it over? Who turned it over? What happened? It was an interception. Well, damn.
Starting point is 01:23:39 The champ might not know who played quarterback for the Bengals. They know who played quarterback for the Bengals? He went number nine. What's on the back of it? I think it's Joe. So. Hey, you show.
Starting point is 01:24:01 Hey, you show is excited. I'm trying to figure out what, Where was this energy when we were talking about the Ravens? Where was this energy? We passed the Raven. Y'all had a, no, no, no. Y'all had a chance to go to the playoffs and blew it. We weren't going to the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:24:15 We were just playing trying to win a... You're my home boy. Why are you talking to my home? Being by homeboy, we're over here having a great conversation. And you ruined it. You ended up the mood. You rude. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:24:29 We wasn't playing for nothing except to win. We wanted to go home. on a high note. We weren't able to do that. It's cool. It's cool. I know one thing the sun will be shining in Cancun. Man, tell them. The son will be shining a Kencun. I want to go to Cancun. I ain't ever been to Cancun.
Starting point is 01:24:47 Hey, let me ask you a question. Matter of fact, y'all play next week, right? No. Y'all got to buy it? Okay, well, we'll see y'all in Cancun in two weeks. Don't worry about it. Whoa, whoa, wow. Why, ha! Hey, we'll see y'all. Hey, we'll see y'all
Starting point is 01:25:03 You wish it ill on my team. No, no, no, no, I'm not. I'm just telling you. I'm just telling you, why you get, why are you here? You're so excited. You talk a trash by my bangles. You know, we won't go into the playoffs? High five.
Starting point is 01:25:18 Hey, Coach, you got the official high five. How five, what's it called? Shelburne Harris. Gave a high five with Miles Gary got the sack. I mean, listen, ain't no thing. I got my jersey, though. You heard me? Hey, he did, hey, I can't turn his hand.
Starting point is 01:25:37 Can I turn his hand? Don't break, don't break it. What don't worry about it? We do the six, seven. We do the six, seven. Hey, what do you know about six, seven, huh? I don't know. I know, I know y'all team ain't going nowhere.
Starting point is 01:25:51 And we use y'all for parts. That's fine. Oh, we'll be back next year. You said that last year. Don't worry about it. Eventually, you're going to be right, Ocho. Oh, I. I was, I was, I'm always right.
Starting point is 01:26:05 I'm always right. I didn't get, I didn't get a chance to thank Miles Garrett. I got to go to the bathroom. Go ahead. Hey, chat. Hold it down. Hey, Chad. I'm glad y'all get to be with me real quick.
Starting point is 01:26:14 Obviously, Miles Garrett now, the NFL sack leader with 23 sacks. I talked to Miles Gary after the, after the game. He's going to send me that jersey. He's going to send me that game jersey. I'm happy. I'm elated. I'm excited. And I'm going to hang it.
Starting point is 01:26:32 I'm getting ready to do my game. room, they get ready to do my game room in about two, three weeks and change everything up. So when I get all my wars from Ash and Unk, they're going to be right here Placid behind me. And I'm going to put an Ocho jersey in a Miles Garrett jersey on the other side. And that is going to be one of my prize possessions that I've ever gotten from anyone. And I appreciate Miles for that. And I think that's a dope thing. That's a dope thing. I'm sure that people in can probably want it, but it's not happening. It's not happening because he promised me the jersey first.
Starting point is 01:27:04 And I'd hate to have to beat Miles Garrett ass for lying to me and not giving me that jersey. And that's pretty much it. And that makes me happy. Where you go, Aunt? Ash, where ungo? Oh, my bad.
Starting point is 01:27:24 Chat, talk to him. I'm not lying, man. Y'all always talk about I'm lying. Why would I lie? What do I get out of lying? Think about it. What do I get out of that? I got the jersey.
Starting point is 01:27:41 He signed it for me. He's mailing it to me. And it'll probably be here Tuesday. Yeah. I like it. What's in that game? To about Broncos. Bronco got the bye week.
Starting point is 01:27:58 He talked about my... He excited by the damn bang. was losing but the Ravens done lost and he was all happy and elated like y'all like they ain't going home too but we all we all in Cancun what other jerseys I got
Starting point is 01:28:20 oh I got some of the best jersey man my jersey collection I only I got a tour jersey and a Zach Wilson jersey Joe Burrow Jamar Chase and T. Higgins that's it Not just any jersey I got like the 1980
Starting point is 01:28:34 Hold on Oh, Hold on. How y'all doing, chat? Hey, I'm showing I'm showing people my jersey, my, you see,
Starting point is 01:28:51 you see this? Remember the leap and tire? Yeah. This during, this during unct time back in the 80s. See? Nobody.
Starting point is 01:29:00 got this. This is a one-on-one. So I'm hanging this next to Miles. When Miles sent me to Jersey, I'm hanging in the channel. Hey, chap. I heard a lot of people talking about, well, T.J. Watt broke the record in this many games, and this many. We're not going to do that. Because when Jerry said the NFL record, for the most touchdowns in a single season, he did it in 12 games.
Starting point is 01:29:25 Randy broke his record in 16 games, and y'all didn't say that. when Eric Dickerson broke OJ's record OJ rushed for 2014 games nobody ever said that now this man got the record y'all want to come up with all this stuff he did it in 15 the NFL sack record is 23
Starting point is 01:29:44 Miles Garrett holds it he did y'all talk about games look at the amount of snaps that it took Miles Garrett to break that record which is the equivalent of probably like five games Don't do that. Don't try to shortchange the man. Again, when Randy Moss broke Jerry Rice's record,
Starting point is 01:30:05 Jerry Rice had 22 touchdowns in 12 games. Yeah. But they threw the man the ball. They threw in the ball every play? And nobody said anything. The NFL record now is 23. Miles Garrett holds it. So I don't want to hear nothing about how many games.
Starting point is 01:30:26 I don't want to hear about nothing. Miles Garrett holds the NFL Sack record. Because a lot of these records, I mean, when Jim Brown did what he's doing, they're playing 12 games. Ain't nobody say nothing. OJ did what he did in 14 games. Rested his soul.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Rest Jim Brown sold. Now y'all, because somebody broke it, if y'all team guy don't have the record no more, y'all try to minimize the guy. But I ain't going to let y'all do it because I'm old enough to remember. Right, I don't think, man, who would do that, huh? It's an amazing accomplishment, they're doing it. A lot of Pittsburgh Steelers fans are doing it.
Starting point is 01:31:05 Talking about he did it in 15 games. Man, it doesn't matter how many games you got it done. You got it done. It doesn't matter. That's an amazing feat. You know how hard to get something's happening. Any record. But you know how hard it is?
Starting point is 01:31:21 I mean, listen, you look at the comparison between someone like a T.J. Watt, a Miles Garrett, a Brian Burns in the season. They're in unbelievable seasons. You know how many defense it is it? It is in the NFL that are nowhere close to that. That's, it's crazy. Maybe people don't understand. Look, somebody will probably understand how hard it is to get a sack.
Starting point is 01:31:43 And eventually somebody's going to break a Payton's record. Payton threw for 5,400 and 7477. He could have had more because he came out at half. Hold on. That's the 55 touchdown. Somebody's going to throw. Hey, it is what it is. He broke the record.
Starting point is 01:32:02 Dan Marino had the record at 50. No, to take that back, had 48. Tom had the record 50. Peyton broke that record with 55. Somebody going to throw 56. It is what it is, guys. They did the same thing with Roger Maris broke Brave Bruce.
Starting point is 01:32:26 record. They tried to put an asterisk by for the longest. No, we're nothing to do. Right. We're not. We not. We not.
Starting point is 01:32:36 Because every time y'all try to do it, I'm going to remind you, somebody had the record in less games than when they broke the record. Right. And y'all didn't say, and think about it, Sacks only became an official stat.
Starting point is 01:32:50 The interception. I mean, think about it. What was the record? Dick Knight Train Lane. He got 14. I think they played like 12 games back then. Some records ain't going to be broken. That 81 interceptions ain't nobody getting 81 interceptions don't join the career.
Starting point is 01:33:07 You can forget that. Who had 81? Who had 81 interceptions? 81? Oh. Yes. 81. How many years he played?
Starting point is 01:33:25 I think Krauss played like 14, 15. he played 16 cross play 16 ain't nobody breaking it they can play 20 81 I think rod how many rod got rod got like rod wasa got 71 yes a rob with that right well see rod with a corner
Starting point is 01:33:48 moved to safety rod had great safety yeah guys that if you could catch a lot of guys can't catch like Ed Ed Reed could, like, really, really catch. No, but Rod could really, really catch. Mm-hmm. Damn, that's crazy, man. You go back and look at some of these staff.
Starting point is 01:34:09 Now, eventually, look, with all these games, somebody's probably going to pass, catch 1,500. I think Jerry got over 1,500. And by the time, they played 10, 12 years, oh, that's another season. Damn. It is what it is. That's unfair.
Starting point is 01:34:29 That's unfair because now, you know, those whose records are getting broken, you can't play no more. I want to see the guy that break Jerry touchdown record, that 197 receiving. I want to see that. I want to see that. That's going to be hard. Think about it, Ocho. That's a lot of touchdown. The man got 2,500 yards after the age of 40.
Starting point is 01:34:52 Hey, at a dependent position. Yes. The man caught 1,200 yards at 40. Yeah. It went to the Pro Bowl. So. Hey. Oh, you got to be in good with the organization,
Starting point is 01:35:13 but you got to be in good, work. A hundred. To even put you in position to allow you the opportunities to be able to have success in production at that age, you got to be good with that organization. And also, you can't be a goddamn salary cap casualty. So that's the problem. And in Bradford, what, 300 consecutive starts?
Starting point is 01:35:35 Oh, he was healthy. He was always available. Do you know how many, do you know how many, I mean, 300, oh, Joe? Yeah, that's a lot. That's a lot. So you got to get off to a great start. You got to start off with 12. You got to get, you got to have a couple of scenes of double digit picks to even think about
Starting point is 01:35:55 getting the 80. That fours and fives ain't going to cut it. No. Because you play 15 years and you get four picks a season or five picks
Starting point is 01:36:06 a season. That's still 75. You're going to have to do a lot of gambling too now. But you got to start. You got to get that number early, but you got to move to a safety position
Starting point is 01:36:19 because you ain't fit to be playing no corner position unless you're Darrell Green. All the even great corner. they start to fall off and then they move to the safety. They go to safety.
Starting point is 01:36:30 You look at time. He moved to safety. Rod moved to safety. Ania's moved to safety. Only Darrell played his entire career at the corner position. Yeah. Man, hell, Prime was that safety
Starting point is 01:36:44 when we played the Ravens when he wore 37. And... I think the thing is, oh, Cho, is that I get, look. I get... I remember what? Monday night when the Jets played the Raiders and Tim Brown caught his hundred touchdown. Man,
Starting point is 01:37:01 they brought everybody on the field. They brought Tim Mama. They brought his wife. They bought the kid. They stopped the game for like 20 minutes. Real? Yes. Somebody look at it up. It was a Monday night. They brought everybody on the field. They must have been
Starting point is 01:37:17 playing home. They were playing home. He's lucky. Okay, okay, okay. Can you imagine they to play to Cleveland? They brought his mom and dad out the stairs. Yes. They probably would have, hold on. Well, they couldn't have, they couldn't have a T.J. Because T.J. were playing and Strayhead was in studio.
Starting point is 01:37:35 Because they normally, a lot of times when somebody's going to break the record, the guys are retired. And so they have the guy to pass it, you know. Because when I broke Ozzy's record, he's the general manager. He's there. He handed me to football. Right. But now, we're not going to do that, Jack. Miles Garrett is now the NFL.
Starting point is 01:37:55 single season sack leader. Hey, at the pace he's going, he's going to be the NFL sack leader with his office and done. Because he got, how many he got now, Ash, almost 130? He got 125 sacks. Have he played 10 years?
Starting point is 01:38:32 He's 9 years. And he only 30 now. Yeah. Oh, Joe, he just finished his ninth year. So the record, so he needs 70, he need 76 sacks to be the all-time leader. Brucey played like 19 years. Yeah. Oh, listen, he has a good chance to get it.
Starting point is 01:38:52 Long as he stay healthy, he has a great chance to look. Reggie had 198 in 15 years. Ain't getting that. But you got to realize Reggie played one year in the U.S.FL. I think it was 84. He played in the U.S.F. Might have been 83.
Starting point is 01:39:10 He played his first season in Memphis because he's a Tennessee and it was regional then, you know what I'm saying? Right. Miles Garrett, congratulations. The SAC, single season SAC leader. Stay healthy, continue success, bro. We root for you here at night.
