If you are Miami Dolphins fan, if you live in the city of Miami, if you were born in the state of Florida,
I don't want to hear you say foot or ball.
I don't want to hear you say pig skiing.
I don't want to hear you say NFL.
Don't do it.
I'll take it from here.
The doctors are 0 and 2 after 3327 loss to the Patriots.
They allowed points on the opponents.
First 10 drives this season and now face on a shot.
short week, the Buffalo Bills.
Ohjo?
Hey, can I tell you something?
You know we're going to play in Buffalo right Thursday night, right?
I didn't know that, yes.
If I was to sit here and tell you, right, that if you understand the game of football,
if you understand the way the NFL works, that the Dolphs are going to go in there and they're
going to beat Buffalo Thursday night, would you believe me?
You wouldn't even believe it.
If I tell you Friday morning that the Miami Dolphys
would be one and two going into week four,
would you believe me?
Okay.
I saw what Drake May did to y'all.
What do you think, what do you think Josh Allen's going to do?
You know, I like your confidence.
I like your confidence you have in 17.
I like it.
I know you don't like the confidence that you got the number one.
Are we going to be all right?
We're going to be all right.
You know it's only week two, huh?
It's over for y'all, Locho.
You know that, I know that.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down.
Slow down.
So is it over for the Chiefs?
Yeah, well, one of them got two and the other one got Patrick Mahomes.
One of them got Andy Reed, the other got Mike McDaniel.
now which one who has who I like I like that you counting this out I like that I like that I like
that you throwing in the towel I like that you have no confidence man it's over for the
guffies okay the Miami guffies that's what y'all are ever officially y'all are the guffies
okay okay I mean we was a little kid chat I know y'all remember when you were a little kid
and the fish tank and at the end of the day they would let you take some of the guppies home
and I take and I ain't have no fish tank
but I would take the guppy
they put them in a little plastic bag
with some water
and I ended up having to throw the guppy
in the wood by grubber I said boy
don't you put that
damn fish in that man is jar
all right
hey you everybody
smiling in the chat
everybody laughing on Joe
everybody
everybody laughing in the chat
but when we get on the show Thursday
and I get on here
boasting and hollering
you won't I say I told you so I took watch chat y'all y'all remember this too now
Drake may put up 33 what Drake may put up 33 on y'all
Drake may put up 33 on y'all Drake
all right may 19 this man was 19 or 24
Hey, we're going to make a believe out of you.
We're going to make a belief of everybody in the chat.
Man, anybody, look here, everybody knows the guppies ain't going to do nothing.
Y'all ain't did nothing in the wild.
They're about to break this thing up.
Wait a minute.
Hold on, hold on.
You know it's still hot, right?
Yeah, and y'all losing when it's hot.
You know how well we play?
You know how well we play when it's hot,
especially when we're going to Buffalo this early in the season?
I'm just curious.
You know, you know Buffalo is a division opponent, right?
You know, we know them very well.
They know our tendencies.
We know their tendencies.
We play very well against the Buffalo Bills when it's not cold.
Two got sacked five times.
Hey, how many times Bo Nick got sacked today?
Two, I think.
Okay.
I know, I tell you what, I bet we have a better record than the guppies.
The Broncos one in one, right?
We better, I record better than the guppies.
Bo Needs got sacked zero times.
When?
Neck and I, both got sacked twice a day.
Tyreek and Tua wasn't on the same page.
Tarek did, Tarek did have six for a buck O'9.
A. Chan had
8 for 92. Water had 5 for 68
in the tub.
Mm-hmm.
The guppies ain't going to do nothing, don't you?
Don't worry about it.
There'll be no big fish.
Y'all, y'all, y'all feed a fish.
Y'all know, you know, feed a fish, right?
That's, they feed y'all to the other fish.
That's what they do with the guppies.
Okay.
So they feed y'all to buffalo and other good teams.
And keep the same energy Thursday, please.
I am.
Keep the same energy when we come on the show Thursday night
and I sit here.
I'm going to have on my tour jersey.
I'm going to have on my tour jersey.
I'm going to be like, I told you so.
I told you so.
Ocho, let's take a listen to what Tua had to say after the game.
I think, well, having some talks with Rik and whatnot
that if I do, just don't.
think that that I'm going to throw at 80 yards like as you're running just do your best to track it
because you could potentially stop that's what ended up happening on that play for for reek and then
with him and wado with those deeper outbreak and routes just trying to help them get open
while maneuvering you know the corner in the flat I'm confused yeah I'm I'm I'm
need better context i would love to see the play he's referring to well i saw tarreek pull up and he
caught a deep pass got kind of overran the play i saw that but i'm trying to figure out how
you trying to help them get open on deep outbreak and routes no you have you have to throw them
open just throw to a throw to a spot yeah two or two is a a rhythm he two is a rhythm in time and
quarterback yeah well you know we know you're not making no plays off rhythm yeah i mean it it it it's you
you throw them open and he's great at that.
He's one of the best in the NFL at that
regardless of what people may say.
When it comes to putting the ball in places, in position,
before receivers are even out of their break.
He is great at placing the ball and throwing receivers open.
That's what he does extremely well and he always has.
But you know what, also he has to because he doesn't have the strong his arm.
So he has to throw with great anticipation.
So the ball basically have to be out of his hand before they're out of the break.
Yeah, but I, I, like, see, he's like, well, I need to, you know, try to, you know,
get them open while also maneuvered in the pocket.
But that's, but, but on deep outs, that's real, that's timing.
Ain't nothing you can do.
Yeah.
You're hopefully, you call that play expecting a certain defense.
I'm, I'm, I, I don't know, I may, man, maybe I might have to watch some of these games
so I can get a better, I mean, like really, really honed in.
And that's because I don't get what he's saying, no, Joe.
I really don't.
Yeah.
Because he's like, I need to get them open while I also trying to maneuver.
Yeah, in the pocket.
Obviously, we know too is not a, the dual threat quarterback.
Just pocket present, maneuvering, and being able to throw on the run.
And throw them open is the only thing I could take from that.
I watched the game today.
so that's all that's all he could possibly mean yeah okay i'm gonna take your word for it because
ooh i'm a little confused after being booed throughout the game mike macdaniel was asking
he's worried about his job i think if i worry about my job security i won't be doing my job
i won't spend one moment thinking about all the things that whatever people want me to think
about oh joe put your uh your prognostication hat on who goes first
McDaniel or Tyreek?
Ooh, that's a good question.
That is a great question.
And I'd be better suited to answer that question
if we were further into the season
and things we're looking like they look right now.
But that's the whole objective.
That's why we don't want you to get farther
into the season.
That's what I'd say put your prognostication hat on
because we get farther into the season
we don't have to put the hat on.
Right.
I would think probably, probably Tyree.
I think Tyreek would probably go.
Do they have anybody with head coaching experience
are on the on the on the coaching staff that could be what yes interim coach
mm yes yes because there's a great chance you're gonna start o' and three
that that definitely not happen i i i told you that already already huh you got to listen
to me when i tell you stuff now especially about the game of football i ain't gonna do that
like i know i know stuff i know so i know you 267 and all when i tell you the dolphins of
When I tell you, the Dolphers are winning Thursday night against the bills,
you have to listen to me and understand.
They are not starting the season, O and three.
They are.
We are going to go ahead and leave the Buffalo.
Because I got a good, I got a suspicion.
They're going to start O and four.
Who we got at, who we got at the Buffalo?
The Jets.
Oh, yeah, y'all go OFA.
Oh, we definitely.
Yeah.
But did you see, did you see the Jets the day and you think we're going to lose it?
Yeah.
I saw the, uh, I saw dolphins, too.
Hey.
What?
I have my dry.
Oh, y'all gonna be one.
Y'all'll be one in four, Ocho.
You got the Panthers in week five.
Where did they play the Panthers at?
Oh, Carolina got you all.
Um, the Eagles beat the Super Bowl, beat the Chiefs again in the Super Bowl rematch.
The Chiefs are 0 and two for the first time since 2014.
Patrick Mahomes starts the season
0 and 2 for the first time
since his sophomore year in high school
Jalen Hurts is now 3 and 2 against Patrick Mahomes
including the playoffs 2 and 1 in the regular season
the broadcast caught an exchange
between Chris Jones and Jalen Hertz
Jones said you don't even have 100 yards
Hertz we won the effing game
shut your leap up
yeah
it was a sloppy game
it was a sloppy game
I expected fireworks
you know. Obviously, you think about the Eagles, as great as their defense line is,
the tush push dominated the game today. Sequin was decent. I don't like the fact that, again,
AJ Brown not getting involved into the game, the way he should be being a top, when we talk
about the top receiver in the NFL, but again, it's the offense that they do run. They are winning.
A lot of people say, listen, numbers don't matter, stats don't matter, as long as we are winning
games but one of the things that I don't like on is what teams do when it comes to business
when you command a certain salary the first thing you're going to do is they're going to tell
you well what we're paying you doesn't match up to the production that you're giving us you know
we're going to need you to take a pay cut you know we're going to need you to take a pay cut
that that's why I always complain about them not getting him the ball as much but again
they are winning that at the end of the day that's what it's all about I just understand
the business side of things down the road what they're going to try to pull
outside of that on the
chief side of the ball
oh,
they're receivers
they got guys
and no matter what you say
they have guys
juju is a guy
Hollywood Brown has become a guy
they're guys
Kelsey has been lazy
he's getting lazy
with his head
and he's getting lazy
with his eyes
he knows
in that area
in the field
he has to snap his head
he knows
I don't know what he's looking
I don't know why he's so lazy
with his head
there's nobody inside
and and what's 32
Who's name?
Blankenship.
He got you man.
Why are you so lazy?
Your head,
you got to snap it around.
It's like he's got it.
And if no, bro,
you got to snap that.
You know that.
And you took points off the board.
So in other words,
you don't get points and they go down
and they get points.
Points, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
They got guys.
I don't care how great Mahomes is.
He's not overcoming that.
They got guys that run it.
And I keep telling you,
Pacheco's a guy.
They're 30.
You can find 50 guys in the NFL
that can do exactly what Azeel Pacheco can do.
Kareem Hunt is past his prime.
He's a guy.
He's got guys.
There's nothing special about anybody on that team right now
offensively other than Patrick Mahomes offensively.
They got guys.
But you heard what you just said?
There's nobody on that team that is special outside of the quarterback.
And that's the most important position.
I'm saying offensive.
I mean, Chris Jones.
But, I mean, look, that offensive line did a not
outstanding job today.
They ran the ball,
34 rushes of 122 yards.
Look,
I ain't got no problem
with a tush push.
But if you're going to let them
jump to count,
can't nobody stop it?
You remember last year?
A couple of years ago,
they tried to put an emphasis
on those tackles
with jumping the snap count
and they started calling it.
If you're going to let the offensive
linemen jump the count,
they start the guards
and tackle start moving
before the center stops the ball.
But no, nobody's going to be able to stop it.
And you can see it.
They jump in the count.
Yeah.
But, I mean, the Chiefs look bad.
I mean, there's no way around it.
The Chiefs just look bad, Ocho.
I mean, Patrick Mahomes, you're leading Russia.
I mean, he's taking, and he's going to have to be careful
lower in that shoulder.
I know his non-throwing shoulders,
but you've got to be careful with that.
But you throw caution to the win, Ocho,
because you get out there and you're a competitor,
and you, you know, you've lost, you lost the first game,
you lost the second game,
and you just want to have some resemblance
of something and offensively
and try to stay on the field.
But he's going to need to be careful.
But offensively, they got guys.
I mean, Mahomes,
and Mahomes had Thornton wide open
and he overshoot him by 15 yards.
Now, they come back and catch him again
and he makes an outstanding play.
But, mate.
Yeah.
They put that safety on a,
they put that safety in the bind
had he make a choice.
Either you stay with the safety
and then Mahomes hit that dig,
safety drove on a dig,
throw it over the right open.
It was too late for Mitchell
to get over,
from the 3rd to be in the building.
But, listen, you have to think about
when Tyreech left the Chiefs,
they just had guys.
My homes were still able to get it done.
For me, if long as I have 15,
I'm not a Chief fan.
But as long as I have 15,
I have a chance.
But as long as I have 87,
who knows you have to make those.
He's not that same guy
that he was when Tyreek first left.
You know that.
You watch the guy.
You're watching it.
I mean, I'm not.
It's not breaking news, and everybody knows I love them.
But he's not the same.
It's not even close.
And you lose Rashid Rice, who had started after you go back and look that year that he got there,
he had started to take him like, okay, they got something.
Worthy had started to look.
And now he's hurt.
So now you got, man, look, Baltimore was willing to trade a Hollywood Brown.
The Cardinal was willing to let him go.
Come on now, Ocho.
Look at Juju.
Yeah.
Pittsburgh says, okay, you can go.
He goes to New England.
They're like, nah, you're good, go ahead.
I think he went to New England first.
Then he comes to Kansas City.
He goes somewhere else, and he's back in Kansas City.
Yeah.
They're better off.
I mean, if you take those scramble yards out,
you got Kareem Hunt, got eight carries for 31 yards along of 11.
Azale Pacheco, 10 carries 22 yards.
10 carries 22 yards.
Running hard going nowhere.
It's kind of like, man, he basically running the place.
Man, I've been running, but you're running the place.
You ain't went nowhere.
Yeah.
They're going to be all right.
I mean, listen, that's the one team.
I will always have a chance no matter what I have surrounding me
because what I lack offensively, the quarterback I have can overcome it.
This is a bad game today.
But as the season goes on, they make adjustments.
It's the same conversation we had with the Chiefs at the beginning of the season last year.
all the goddamn drops
we ain't got nobody to throw to
Kelsey can't get open
he's not the same Kelsey was
you know back a few years ago
but again for some reason
you know what they ended up last year
and it got damn just a question
do you think Buffalo is better this year
than it was better this year than it were last year
you like the way Josh Allen is playing right now
yes or no
what about Baltimore you think they're better than what they were last year
what about the charges are they better than what
what they were last year.
They are the most
motherfucking, they are the most improved.
As a matter of fact, speaking of the charges,
I'm still in Vegas.
I ain't even home.
So I'm going to the game.
I'm going to the game tomorrow.
Okay.
No, I don't, I do not.
I don't been, I got two tickets.
I know, I don't have been outside.
It's time for me to come in.
But I got two tickets for us.
No, take, uh, take your people.
No, it was a surprise for you.
No.
I'm good.
I got to stay here and prep.
But we could prep at the same time and watch the game.
We could talk about the game and take notes
and what we're going to talk about when we get, do nightcap.
Yeah.
No.
I absolutely do not want to go to the game.
Well, okay.
But, CJ said,
man, he told Jalen Hurts,
you don't even have a hundred yards.
Herd said we won the effing game.
Now shut your up.
Shut up.
And that's the ultimate thing.
Scoreboard.
Yeah, at the end of the day.
But how long can they play like this,
how long can you play for less?
They did it last year.
You just told me about the cat and see you.
Oh, yeah, I said, I said it, but I'm just asking you,
how long are you going to be able to do that this year?
This is a new year.
When you come against a team that's an off of the juggernaut that can actually run
the ball that can actually throw the ball that can actually play a little better defense than what
the chief played today what happened you come and get the team like that play that bad i mean what did
they give up but not that bad they didn't play well enough oh cho think about it they gave a hundred
they gave up a hundred and twenty two yards on 34 carries they gave up 101 passing yards on
22 attempts so they gave up yeah they gave up uh six 160 they got a two and 16 total yards
if you give up doing 16 total yards you're supposed to win
If your defense gets uphold an opposing offense to 216 yards,
and they have points because they scored off Kelsey Bob to the ball
and they got a pick in the end zone.
Yeah.
And kudos to the left tackle, Simmons, the number one draft pick because you win got it.
Hey, you saw it running down?
I absolutely saw it.
You were moving, boy, to be that big, man.
Yes, but they got to get better.
They got, Ocho, they got a bunch of fans guys, but.
They don't have anybody
that can consistently get down the field
and catch the ball.
Hollywood, I mean,
they got,
those guys are social.
The thing is about Hollywood Brown
is that wherever he catches it,
that's what they're going to tackle it, man.
He ain't breaking no tackles.
Yeah.
But you got to think,
everybody don't have a Jamar Chase.
Everybody don't have a Justin Jefferson.
Like, that's not,
that hasn't been the makeup of their team
offensively since Tyreek left.
No.
It hasn't.
Roshie Rice,
Rice was coming in his own.
You can tell,
he's going to be a player.
Oh, yeah.
He was that boy.
Xavier Worthy.
We saw him get better and better and better.
So those were the guys that they were counting on.
Look, the chief knew that some kind of punishment was coming to Rashid Wright.
The report said they wanted to suspend him for the whole year.
He wasn't going for that.
They settled on six games.
So the chiefs knew something was coming.
They didn't expect Xavier worked.
They didn't expect their own guy to run into Xavier Worthy and dislocated shoulder.
They weren't expecting that.
Look, Tyquan Thornton, look, I didn't know anything about it.
But he goes to the combine, he runs 427, you're going to get everybody's undivided attention.
You run that fast, and at that height, you're going to get people's attention.
And that's what he did.
Juju is, look, he can make tough contests to catch him, Ocho, but he ain't going to, Ochoo, he ain't going nowhere in a hurry.
He's never been a speed merchant.
Right.
But, you've got to think about it, hon.
This all come down to the officer.
a coordinator. It's all about understanding
the players you have and putting the players
that you have in positions to make
plays based on their strengths.
What are their strengths? How
many shallow cross you want me to run, Ocho?
I mean, hey, listen,
that's what they do. That's what you got
to do. But guess what, Ocho? And because
you don't have nobody that's great run after the catch,
so guess what? Wherever they catch the ball,
that's where they tackle that. In order to
run shallows and all that pick stuff,
you need guys that can run out of catch.
You need guys that can break
tackle, though, Joe. But I know one thing, you keep moving to chains. You keep moving to
chains. If you don't have someone, oh, wait a minute. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's think about this.
Let's think about the Patriots. Think about the Patriots. They had no speed merchants.
But it was shallows, underneaths, crosses, middle of that. I'm talking about, not the
Moss Patriots. I'm talking about the Edelman, the Gromps. You know, I mean, crossing,
and cross and crossing and fielman is better than any receiver that they got right now on the chief yeah yeah absolutely i'm not gonna i'm not compared i'm just saying the route i'm talking about the scheme and the route
yes yes that was their thing and then they attack you but in order to consistently run those you got to stay on you you can't get behind the chains and a lot of times the chiefs will fall behind the chains
they'll get stuck at second and 10 they'll get second and 12 they'll get a holding call right so now all of a sudden they don't care if you run a shallow cross
They just go tackle
You can get off the field
Yeah, and you got to have
Some type of run a game
Yes
You got to have some type of run a game
To keep the defense honest
Some type of run a game
To keep the defense honest
But the good thing for the Chiefs
Is they're not playing the Eagles
Every goddamn week
They're not playing the Eagles
Every goddamn week
So other games are going to look
Much better than what they did today
But you got to realize, Ocho
We saw the charges do this to him
Mm-hmm
That's the thing
I mean, at some point in time, I can only scheme so much.
When you start giving me gizzards and livers and lice,
I can only make such a, I can only make a dish.
I can only make so much out of it, Ocho.
At some point in time, if you want better dishes,
you're going to have to give me better ingredients.
And right now, this is the ingredients that I have,
and I can only do so much with it.
Yeah, yeah.
And it's so funny.
We had these conversations about the chiefs in their struggles at the beginning of the season,
whether it's the officer line, whether the receivers getting open, whether the receiver is dropping the ball.
And in this case now, some of their best players that you expect to step up to the plate
with the absence of worthy, with the absence of Rishie Rice, and they're messing up,
the ones that you think you can count on.
And, hey, they got to go back to the drum board.
They got to go back to the drum board.
The thing is, Ocho, is that when you're struggling, not,
offensively, the one thing that you can't do is what?
Turn the ball over.
Turn the ball over.
You're about to get points.
Because think about, Ocho, there was a stretch there.
Early in Mahon's career, you're like 17 points.
He's getting that in the first half.
You're talking about for a game.
Easy.
Oh, he's going to get bored of that.
And think about it.
Yeah.
How late it was when they got that 17, because of the longest time, they had 10.
And here we are with three minutes left in the game.
They got 10 points.
so we're not used to seeing them struggle offensively
like they're struggling
to make matters worse
is that they turn the ball over
and they don't need to turn it over four or five times
because you're already struggling
one turnover could possibly doom you
when you can only put up 17 points
points yeah
the defense held that team to like
hold they held that team to 20 points
after they get, excuse me,
after they gave up what they gave up in the Super Bowl
they held them to
It was 10-10 at the half.
They gave up three in the third
and both of them scored seven in the fourth.
Mm-hmm.
You can't.
Damn.
It's, it's, look, they're in a very tough spot
because of the absence of Rishie Rice
and Xavier Worthy.
But ain't nobody feeling sorry for the Chief.
Mm-hmm.
No, they don't feel sorry for them
because they had problems every year.
We talk about their struggles.
We talk about their issues
on offense, on defense,
off the line,
we're talking about the receivers,
the tight ends,
and for some goddamn reason,
now watch they end up
back in goddamn San Francisco
week one in February.
I don't feel as confident
as I did that Bud beating Canelo,
so if you ask me to put some money down,
I ain't doing that.
And if they do end up there,
bless them,
but I ain't put no money
that means something to me.
All right, Ocho,
we just mentioned it,
the Atlanta Falcons run their race,
record till 500, 1-1, thanks to going on the road and winning 22 to 6.
They shook off a very disappointing loss.
They switched kickers out.
They brought a new kicker in.
He was 5-0-5 and a P-A-T.
So there's a great chance.
He's going to be special teams player of the week,
but it might be the guy from Dallas who kicked a 64-yarder to get it in the overtime
and then the game winning field goal.
So he might, you know, I'm sorry, Romo.
I thought you might get it, but probably not.
Aubrey is probably going to get it.
But the Falcons used Ocho an outstanding running game
and they hounded McCarthy.
They got after five sacks in the first half,
six total for the game.
They picked him off twice, forced to fumble once.
So anytime you can hound the quarterback six times,
pressure them numerous other times,
and turn him over three times,
you're probably going to win that game.
What did you like about what you saw from the Falcons?
Listen, what I like from the Falcons, I'm not even going to talk about the running game and what they did offensively.
The beginning of the game, I really, really enjoyed pinnics and the chemistry, him and Kyle Pitts have gotten gone.
It was a mismatch.
They put Kyle Pitts in different places where the mismatches were, had him out wide, the wide receiver had him in a slot, had him at the tight-in position.
But defensively is where they made their hay.
Obviously, they did what they did on offense with the running game.
But obviously, it was somewhat, I don't want to say, of a snooze fest, unc, but they got in the rear zone, but they couldn't score.
Most of the time, they couldn't score.
Most of the time, field goals
to get you beat.
But the fact that they played defense so well
and the goddamn Vikings couldn't get anything
going offensively, let alone get in the red zone
two score points.
They only kick field goals as well.
That's why they won.
That's why they won the game.
Yeah, six points.
But Atlanta's defense was outstanding.
We haven't seen, look, Atlanta's been really,
really bad, Ocho, over the last five or six years
and rushing the quarterback.
And they made a concerted effort.
They drafted early.
They got Walker.
They traded back in the first round.
got peers. They got brought in Leonard Floyd, who was with Rahim when he was at the Rams.
So, therefore, he's very familiar with Leonard Floyd, and they attacked the quarterback.
In order for you to win, your defense has to pressure the quarterback. You cannot leave him back
there and let him have all day to pat the football. The Falcons did an outstanding job, and this is
what they needed. They've needed pass rush for a very, very last long time. I think they say they
finished last, the last five years. They've been last, have the least amount of sacks. And
Nobody's within 30 of them.
Right.
And I'm going to say the one thing I like about the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcon, the last name is Obrich.
They don't have a T.J. Y.
They don't have a Miles Garrett.
But collectively as a group, running stunts, stand, different things with the defense of the line, with the linebackers, and adding pressure against you, you're going against a rookie quarterback.
Even though he's in his second year, this is his first year of stars.
You're throwing stuff at them that's confusing them
because that's the one thing you want to do to a young quarterback.
You want to put pressure on him, confuse them,
force them to process information a little faster than you can,
and you get with your sort of night,
interceptions, fumbles, you get stuff like that.
So they play really well.
And I'm excited for the Falcons, obviously, Pending Jr.,
now being the starter, and the future is bright for Atlanta right now.
I don't know why to keep the camera on Kirk Cousin.
Where it looks.
Kirk Cousins, I don't know why to keep
to keep showing on Kirk Cousins, he ain't going in
and nothing was wrong with Pinnix.
I don't know why y'all, ain't nobody feeling
no sympathy for him.
Hell, as he doesn't back up to Brink's truck
and, and,
Hey, Matt,
hey, speaking of Brink's truck,
do you know what?
Do you know how much Kirk Cousins has made in his career?
I do.
You know how much?
I don't think people understand.
Hey, he, listen, he's a child of God
and God has blessed him.
Because it's up, run it over.
Yeah.
So I ain't nobody feeling sorry for Cuck Cousins.
He's standing on the sideline like, man, coach put me in.
No, bro.
That's over.
That's your sale.
Sit there, draw your $30 million and be quiet.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
They gave $100 million guaranteed.
$50 million signing bonus.
So he got more money coming.
But I really, I really, really love what I saw from the Falcons, their pass rush.
They can keep this going.
Bejohn Robinson out here running the football.
Hey, um.
Shadur calling me.
Shadu, who?
It's the only one Shadur.
Hold on.
What's up, why?
None sitting here on the show.
What's good?
Yeah, we live right now.
What's good?
Talk to me.
Ask me you want to come on.
Huh?
I mean, yeah.
I mean, they could hit me talking, and I said it was you,
but they can't hit what you're saying.
why you need me
Atlanta's defense had six sacks
Harrison one and a half
Doris one and a half
Pierce Jr. Half a sack
Leonard Ford's sack
I ain't see
I ain't see it
I ain't see it
So
Atlanta got after
JJ McCarthy comes back down to reality
after he played so well the opening week
I think he if I'm not mistaken
I think he was offensive player the week
in the NFC
had an outstanding game, spotted the Chicago Bears 17-6,
and then they scored 21 unanswered points to take a 27-17 lead.
And the next thing you know, they end up holding on and winning.
JJ played really well.
But that's just the ups and down that you're going to have as a rookie quarterback.
You shouldn't expect him to be even keel, especially really.
He's not a rookie, but as Ocho said, it's his first year starting.
He's a second-year player, but this is his first year starting.
But Falcons look good.
Vikings back to the drawing board.
Falcons run their record to one-in-one
with a 22-6 win
over the Minnesota Vikings
thanks to a great running by
Hold on.
Bejohn Robinson, 22 carries a buck 43.
Al Jure had 16 rushes,
76 yards, 39 rushes,
218 yards.
Pennings Jr. was 13 to 21,
135, 3 sacks.
But they win this ball game,
22 to 6.
Hey, I have a question for you.
I'm curious to how you feel about it.
Chat, you can chime into it and let me know.
When we talk about the tier one running backs in the NFL,
your King Henry's, your Christian McCaffrey's,
I think Jonathan Taylor would be in that conversation as well.
Seekwon.
Is it time we put, yeah, Sequan, excuse me, I'm sorry.
Is it a time we put Bejan Robinson in that conversation,
is a tier one running back or is he not there yet?
Is he on the fringe of being tier one?
I'm just curious.
What do you think?
Yeah, you got a.
I mean, I need to see another year.
I need to see some awards.
I think I need to see an all-pro or something, yeah.
Right.
Because all those guys, I mean, you look at,
Ken Henry has basically been doing this since he's gotten to the league.
Sequin was an offensive rookie of the year.
He had another thousand, had an outstanding season.
He got injured.
Now he went to the Eagles,
offensive player of the year.
So Christian McCaffrey's been an offensive player of the year.
He's been a multiple-time pro bowler.
Rush 4,000, received 4,000.
I think Bejohn is on the cusp.
He would be my next back to, if you're looking at
Jonathan Taylor, you look at it, as you mentioned, King Henry, Sequin.
And we can't forget Gibbs and Montgomery.
Yeah, they're coming.
They're coming.
They're coming.
Okay.
It all depends because Gibbs and Montgomery don't get the workload
that those other guys get,
they spit a lot of the carriers.
King Henry gets the lion's share of the carry.
Sequin gets the lion's share of the carries.
Christian McCaffrey gets the lion's share of the carriers.
If you notice, Robinson had 22 rushes,
but Algeria had 16.
So they do a great job,
and you know, you can preserve your backs
and they'll be fresh or longer
where they don't take the lion's share of the carries.
But, yeah, they're right there.
I mean, look, you can put Josh Jacobs in that group.
There are some guys that are right there, Ojo.
a right there.
Aaron Jones.
Yeah, okay.
Ravens beat the Browns by the score of 4117.
Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Oye.
Told the Ravens, told reporters that the Baltimore defense had a team dinner meeting
in order to get beyonds last week, fourth quarter collapse.
It worked.
The Ravens are now 13 and two following losses since 2022.
It was a 10-3-half at the half.
Miles Garrett said after the game, I mean, this ish embarrassing.
We've got to be better on defense.
We've got to be better as a team.
They slowly chipped away, and we did a solid job holding them to three when we could.
But then eventually the damn broke and we just whatever they wanted.
And we have to continue to play for 60 minutes.
Kevin Stefansky said after the game that he won't consider a QB change.
Hey, Miles, enjoy that 160 million.
Because this is what it's going to be like in your future.
until you get a quarterback
this is what you're going to be resigned to
now I look
maybe you know
getting a million couple of two million you know
two million dollars a month
every game check Ocho
before taxes
maybe that maybe that lessens it some
this is your fate
this is your fate
this is that way
Ocho let's be real
this is what this is what's going to happen in Cleveland
unless something miraculously happens
we do know that Joe Flacco can go on to run offensively
It's over, Ocho
You can get you for it's over
You watch them today
It's over
Oh yeah today
But you gotta understand who they plan against now
You're playing against a division opponent
That knows you very well
Let's ask you like to do
When he was in Cleveland the first time
Why didn't they keep him if he was the guy
He went to ending
Why didn't they keep him if he was the guy
He went to the jazz
You know the direction
Why didn't they keep him
if he was the guy.
You know why.
I'm not,
I'm not saying he's the guy.
I'm not saying he's the guy,
but it's what you had to deal with right now.
And they definitely don't want to,
they definitely don't want to make a move that early,
the quarterback number two,
because basically what you're telling your team is,
we waving the white flag and we throwing it all in,
and we're going to worry about starting our future right now.
I ain't got a flag.
I got a sheet.
I got anything that's white.
And I'm waving it.
Oh, it's week two.
You can't weigh the towel to maybe week five,
week six and stuff still ain't going well.
You said it yourself.
What week you said they were going to switch quarterback?
But the Giants eight.
Oh, you said the Giants.
Well, hell.
Oh, Cleveland is going to be much more than that.
Week six, week six, week six, if anything.
Well, week six.
I can just imagine how Cleveland receiver is feeling.
It's tough to continuously run routes.
Try to get open, and you're like,
I give, what don't you, give Cleveland's Dief,
rush defense, 21 rushes, 45 yards,
but Lamar had 19 or 29 for 2.25 and 4-12 passing.
He did.
They did say they were going to stop Derek Henry, do you?
They did.
Grant Dale Pitt did say it's not hard to tackle Derek Henry.
They did a good job on Derek Henry.
Not everybody, everywhere else through the L?
Dayflowers had seven for 75.
DeHop was two for 64, a touchdown.
Walker, two for 26, two touchdowns.
Wallace, two for 25, a touchdown.
Hmm.
Oh, man, Ruquam Smith had themselves a day.
15 total, 15 total tackles and a fumble return for a touchdown.
They got up to the quarterback.
They got out to Flacco.
Look, Flacco is a statue.
You can't move, huh?
never could.
That ain't never been
that in this fortay.
Um,
oh,
good about you.
I was special teams.
I was.
That's how I made the team.
That's where I started.
I cut my teeth on the special teams.
But 267 didn't go in as a special
team player.
You were to check my resume,
start playing with me.
Talk to on, huh?
Let them know.
267.
There have been 30,000 men
that played this game,
coached this game,
own team,
general manager, 30,000.
I don't know what, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know what, I don't know what, I don't
know what, I don't know what, I don't know what, 267 what percent of 30,000
meals.
Mm-hmm.
But they're less than 400 men, they got a gold jacket.
Yeah.
Of 30,000.
I can tell you what, I could tell you what that percentage is.
You know, I was a math major.
2.2%.
2.2.
Look.
Yeah.
I just, it's just, L.Ocho is tough.
And I just, I feel bad for the Browns fans, because the one
thing I know having played in Cleveland,
no matter how bad they sucked,
those fans still so came and sold out.
Now, a lot of times they might have bags
on their head and they might have booed when things
weren't going well, but they're out there
tailgating, knowing that
their team going to get the brakes beat off of.
But they show up.
They look, man, if any, like
certain fan bases on show,
just one time.
If Cleveland get an opportunity to say, man,
we went to the Super Bowl.
I know everybody wants to win
But for some of those fans
To get an opportunity
To see
Man, like I said
Brown's got some loyal-ass fans
And I played them when I was in Denver
And I went when they was at old Cleveland
And I played them at Baltimore, obviously
They loved their Browns, man
They love the Browns
But
ain't got no quarterback
They ain't got no quarterback
I don't care
How good your defense is
not in today's game yeah i know everybody said which all did yeah with the ravens in 2000 it's
25 yeah that's damn near quarter century ago nobody's playing football like they played a quarter century ago
no absolutely the rules the rules don't permit it and guess what you're paying a quarterback all that
money you're not going to pay him to turn around and hand the ball off it's look they're going to have
to find a quarterback they thought they had a quarterback with j uh uh uh with the
John, for whatever reason, it didn't work out.
He's been injured.
He showed an injury.
He got a Nekili's injury.
And it seems like he's working his way back.
I don't know if he's going to come back this year.
We'll see.
But don't show, without a quarterback coach, they're not going to do nothing.
You don't have a chance.
I don't care.
And this ain't.
You need 10 miles, Gary.
Yeah.
It ain't even about the Browns.
That goes for any team.
Until you figure out your quarterback position,
you're not going to have any type of success.
Now you can have flashes of brilliance.
You could have success maybe for a game, maybe two.
But it's all about being consistent.
Week in and week out and having a chance at winning each week.
Right now, they just don't have that.
They don't have it.
But they're going to have games where they go out there and win.
They're going to have games where they go out there and flacker going to throw for 300.
We're going to have games like that at some point of the season.
I guarantee you that.
That's just the way
that's just the way the Florida game works just in general.
Well, there must be going to have one of them games
on playing on a Tuesday or Friday.
And we don't have nightcap on those days.
But Kevin Stefanski said after the game
that he won't consider a quarterback change for week three.
Before the game, Adam Schepter dropped a bomb.
The Ravens were planning to drafts
Shadour Sanders in the fifth round with the 141st pick.
But before the Ravens can turn the card in,
Shadur let it be known to Baltimore that he didn't want to be on the roster
with Lamar, where he wouldn't have a chance to play anytime soon.
Shadour did not want to be drafted by Baltimore and preferred to end up in a place
where he might have a better chance to play sooner.
The Ravens instead drafted an offensive lineman Carson Vinson with the 141st pick.
I'm gonna go ahead
Shoulder was ask about it after the game
My response is I'm focused on the now
I don't really talk about anything in the past
And whatever happened in the past
It is what it is
I'm more focused on the now
I'm more focused on how the game
That we just got ahead
And figuring out how to move forward from now
You wouldn't even believe my memory
Don't even go back that far
So yeah I don't even remember anything
I remember I'm here
I go to practice every day and it's a
24 hour rule it serves
no purpose in my life
yeah
we don't even had that kind of power coming into a draft
though
as a player you saying where you don't want to go
you don't have that kind of power
well I don't let me tell you something about the Ravens
I don't know Shadour's situation
the Ravens
I can only speak to what I know
I know Ozzy
I know DeCosta
and I know
the owner Steve Boshaddy
Yes sir
When Tio was supposed to go to the Ravens
And he said he didn't want to go
Oh he said he named Go on
They obliged him
Yeah
They said you know what
Don't worry about it
Boom boom boom
The NFL of them
They worked out some type of agreement
Tio ended up in Philly
If he said this
they would have obliged it.
Yeah, but I doubt it, though.
I doubt it.
You know what?
I would like to say more,
but unfortunately, I think we should move on from this.
Yeah, it serves no purpose.
I'll leave it at that.
It served no purpose.
I'll leave it at that.
The earlier game,
the Bucks beat the Texans 2019
for the second straight week,
Baker Mayfield,
engineered a fourth quarter drive to win the game,
trailing by five points with barely more than two minutes left to play.
Baker led a buck's on 11, play 80-yard drive last week.
Baker-engineered a late road win with a touchdown pass to a mecca,
Bucca, to beat the Falcons.
Ocho, Tampa.
Hey, Tampa looking good, huh?
Tampa, Tampa looking real good.
They look very good.
Listen, you know who else we had on the show?
Oh, Labonte David.
And look what happened.
He dropped that interception, though.
He's though he's supposed to get to the house.
I mean, C.J. hit him dead in his hands.
He played.
He's on defense for a reason.
It's no way from being able to catch.
But do you know what I like about the bucks, Ocho?
They can run the ball.
Hey, that guy.
White and Bucky Irving?
Nice, boy.
Yeah, I see, I see, I see Buckie.
he broke off to the right side
and I see him hit that Peter Warwick dead leg
on somebody. I'm like, wait a minute.
Okay.
Soapsey like that.
Baker 25 or 38, 215, 2-15,
two touchdowns.
They pressured him for,
but on fourth down,
they had him dead to right,
and he got up out of there,
picked up a big first down.
You can't run by him.
To a lower,
I think that's the,
uh, uh,
to a low low.
Toto.
He's from the University of Alabama
the linebacker. He runs by him.
Got him dead right. They got the perfect play
call. They got the perfect blitz call.
They crashed him and he ran by him.
Baker jumps out to win. It's so funny.
And when you think about quarterbacks that are dual
threats, you don't really view Baker as a
Josh Allen or view him as a Lamar Jackson,
but he can hurt you. If you're not disciplined,
if you don't come into control,
if you don't come to balance,
when you have him dead to write, like you said,
and you just aggressively just try to make the tackle,
you'll do exactly that.
Come right out of the back dough.
He had 33 yards rushing.
Bucky Irving had 17 for 71.
Richard White has 10 for 65.
Baker had 3 for 33.
30 rush attempts, 169 yards.
25 of 38, 2.15, 2 touchdowns.
He did get sacked four times.
But, uh,
they took care of the ball
and they got pressure on C.J.
Stroud, C.J.'s got to make some of the throws
that he missed, Ocho.
You got to make some of those.
You got to make some of those.
It is what it is. You got to make them.
You got to get the Ocho.
You can't kick your field goal.
That'll get you beat every time, huh?
At some point, you got to score touchdowns.
You got to score touchdowns.
You got to go.
You do.
And what did Mike, what did Mike Evans finish with?
Mike Evans had five catcher, 56 yards on 11 targets.
Look, you know, had Stingley chasing, had him,
Stingley followed him around the whole day.
That was nice.
Stingley did a really good job.
Stingley did a really good job tonight,
obviously showing why he's one of the top coins in the NFL,
and he traveled with Mike Evans,
the entirety of the game.
I had to leave in a, I think maybe.
maybe the end of the third just to get over to the race game so I didn't have to fight
no traffic.
So I missed it back into the game to get to the rate.
No, I mean, look, that's what that's what you pay Stingley, the big bucks.
He's one of the better corners.
And you says, okay, look, we're going to play, we're going to take him, and then we'll
play coverage everywhere else.
It gives you an opportunity to free up some things.
That's what you, when you have one of those guys, it allows you to be really exotic defensively
because you feel you got a guy that can shut down their best receiver.
do that much more defensively.
When you have a piece like that,
you can focus a defensive coordinator can focus elsewhere
and do other things and expand the playbook defense
because you know what, I ain't got to worry about this side.
So I could do other things with everybody else
to confuse the quarterbacks.
Yeah.
And all the great ones have been able to do that
when, you know, Rod Wilson, what is that is a pick,
the Steelers, and Prime, and Annius, and Darrell Green,
and Charles Woodson, Revers.
When you got those top guys, you can get really exotic defensively
because you know they're going to be able to more time than not.
Look, those great receivers, they get paid too now.
They're going to win some, but more times than not,
you feel your guy's going to be able to hold his own.
And so now we can take somebody, you know, we can double, you know,
take somebody else away.
We can bring an extra guy because we feel we got a guy that can hold up
where you really want to go with the football.
But I thought Tampa looked good.
Look, we think it's, you know, Tampa is the class of the NFC South
with a little, maybe a little scare from Atlanta,
but we don't think the Saints and Carolina
is going to put up much resistance.
So we look at it as a two-horse race
between the Falcons and Tampa Bay.
I don't think we're going to, you know,
there's a whole lot of like,
nah, man, though, hey, it's only two weeks into the season.
I noticed, I ain't heard nobody, Carolina,
say, oh, it's only two weeks in the season.
I ain't heard nobody from New Orleans.
It's only two weeks in the season.
You know, you know what it is.
It is what it is.
But Baker, Baker has been playing, look, Baker has a home.
He has people that believe in him.
He has an organization that wants him.
They let him lead in the way he knows how to lead.
They let him be him.
The problem sometimes with organizations, though, Cho, well, this is the way Tom did it.
He's not Tom.
Well, this is the way such and such did it.
Well, he's not that.
You have to let, let a person be who he is.
That's the one thing I can honestly say about the Ravens.
You have your own identity.
just play like a raven.
Whatever you do,
if you want to be quiet,
be quiet.
You want to be boisterous,
be boisterous.
You want to have,
you want to joke and tell,
be whoever.
They don't try to make you confined to anything.
All they ask you is to play hard.
That's it.
And that's it.
And I think the thing is,
look,
he was not going to the Rams.
What did you call him?
They were not going to place Matthew Stafford with Baker Mayfield.
So let's just say that the Cleveland
and the Carolina,
situation didn't work out. He got
heard, he tried to play through it. It didn't
work out. You know, you hear
stories. They wanted a grown-up in
the room. Okay, whatever the
case may be. Carolina,
ain't nobody went in with Carolina until you get
more talent around him. And so
he went somewhere.
They had talent. They had
Mike Evans. They got Chris
Godwin. They did a great job
a light. Jason Light has done
a great job of drafted. Bucky
Irvin, did a great job of White. He
did a great job of drafting some of those guys.
And so now you see the fruits of it is like, okay, they still got a good team.
There was a little drop off.
Obviously, you don't have the Super Bowl expectations that you have.
They do, but from the outside, you don't have the same expectations that you have with Tom Brady.
Tom Brady automatically come with Super Bowl expectations.
He's Tom Brady.
But Tampa, hey, Tampa going to beat a tap.
Hey, Tampa going to have something to say about it now.
Because defensively, they can get out there.
They can get after it.
They do a great job of Todd Bowles,
do a great job of dialing up different schemes.
He can pressure you when it needs to.
Vita Vail, do a great job of stopping the run,
but they can pressure you your quarterback.
So it's going to be very interesting to see how this thing shapes up.
Let's see when we get by the week eight, week 10 on Joe.
We'll go start seeing some things like,
okay, because I think Green Bay is going to be a major player here.
I think Green Bay is going to be a major player
when it's all said done.
I don't think the Eagles, look, the Eagles got to get their passing game going.
It's going to happen, oh, Cho, it's taking some time.
The funny thing about it is it's taking some time,
but they haven't played an offense just yet.
That's a juggernaut.
They can put them under the gun.
They can put them under the gun and force them into doing something else
outside of what they already do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I agree with you.
Somebody's going to have to put some points on the board
and they don't have no choice but to throw it.
Now you've got to find a way to try to get the ball to AJ.
Excuse me, get the ball to AJ.
You're going to have to find a way to get the ball to Devonte.
You're going to have to find a way to get the ball to Dodson.
And right now, nobody's made them do that.
They throw the ball on their terms.
And then they get it in short, you know,
second and short or third and short.
fourth and short, and then you get to the tush push.
But if you're going to let them jump the count,
because the guards are moving, people are moving before the city.
You saw the motion to that?
Yeah.
I mean, I've seen it in the real time.
And it's the same thing with the offensive tacklers.
You remember there was a push.
Hey, we want you to cause the count because guys were jumping.
I mean, how many times did they call the Kansas City right tackle,
Joanne?
How many times did they call him?
Bro, he was jumping down there every time.
they crack down on it they're going to have to crack down because if you let the guards move
and can root people out before the center snaps the ball well you've created an even bigger
advantage it used to be you couldn't aid the runner you couldn't push him but they say now you
can and they're going to jump the snap count and you're going to let them aid the runner
I don't know how you stop that playoff I'm not sure if the rescue you even see it in in real
time in real time because the time and the time and
of it. When you slow it down, obviously, yes, we can see it at home when you, when you play it
back in slow motion. But in real time, I don't think the rest can tell.
The charges beat the Vegas Raiders 20 to 9. Justin Herbert was 19 of 27, 242 yards, two touchdowns,
no turnovers, unless they gave that last fumble that they fumbled, but I don't think, oh,
they did give it to him. They gave him two. He lost one.
But they did a great job.
Gino Smith was Texas toast tonight.
He was terrible.
Gino was bad tonight.
But they did a great job of pressure to Moccho.
They didn't let him set his feet.
And when he had time, Mocho, he overshot some guys.
He missed some throws that I'm sure that he's going to look at film tomorrow
and wish he had back.
But that's the game of football that we play.
Quentin Johnson gave three for 71 on a touchdown.
Keenan Allen was 5 or 61 for a touchdown.
and Ladd-McConkie was doing what he normally does is move to change.
And so the charges look really good.
Now, there was a big blow.
It looked like a bicep injury to Killeo Mac.
He left early.
He had it in a sling, Ocho, but if you notice, his bicep was wrapped.
So that's what makes me think it's a bicep injury, but I'm not sure.
I don't know if they reported, because obviously, you guys know I don't listen to the sound.
So if somebody want to jump in the chat and said what it is, what they reported.
I don't know if they reported.
They probably said he left the game.
and was not going to return, but it makes me think
that it's a bicep injury because it wasn't a sling
and he had his bicep wrap.
But Ocho, you're watching this game
and you look at the charges the way they're throwing the football
and the way they can get up the opposing teams quarterback.
What do you like it about what you're seeing about the charges?
Everything about the charges.
Obviously, they do what they do offensively.
Justin Herbert looked like Justin Herbert,
especially picking up where he left off from week one,
but the charge of defense, huh?
The charge of defense was all over the place.
If Gino Smith time to be able to set in the pocket defensively,
they played very well in the back end.
They look really, really good as well.
I'm excited.
I'm excited for the AFC West to see what the charges do.
Not now early in the season.
We only in week too.
I want to see if they can do this in December when it really counts.
They can do this in January when it really counts where it matters most.
All the moments that they have in right now doesn't hurt.
It's playing really well.
I'm glad to see the resurgence of Quentin Johnson.
I'm glad to see Young Bull,
finding playing well,
playing with confidence,
making plays,
he looks awesome.
So being able to see them
in person tonight was awesome.
Gino Smith,
again,
having a room of life,
really not having the time in the pocket
to be able to throw the ball.
Week one, they look really good.
They look phenomenal.
He threw the ball all over the place.
Tonight, not so well.
Yeah, I mean, 24.
Well, neither team really could run the football,
Ocho.
That's the only thing that I like,
okay, at some point in time,
charges, you're going to have to run the football
to alleviate some pressure on Justin Herbert.
You just can't just let them tee off.
But because the Raiders really couldn't run the football,
they just teed off.
They were just teeing off on Gino.
But Gino made some poor throws.
I mean, that one he threw down in the middle leg.
Come on, Ocho.
You see, you see, what's three name?
I can't forget.
Durbin Jane.
Derwin James. Yeah, Durwin Jane.
You see him running?
He running with him.
Why would you throw that?
Why would you throw that?
I mean, he put, he threw, that was twice.
He threw one of the double coverage earlier and he got,
and he got picked, but he didn't play well tonight.
I'm not break, Chad, I'm not breaking any news to you guys.
You know, you watch the game.
You know Gino did not play well tonight.
He played really well, as Ocho said,
he played really well opening week on the road in Fonsboro
against the Patriots, 362 yards.
But tonight, ooh, he was some slow.
He was some slow tonight.
very difficult too.
When you have a week one performance like that,
it's hard to string them back to back to back together like that.
Oh, I want it up there.
It's really hard to string them back together like that back to back,
especially when you play a great defense like the Chargers.
That got, Henley?
He going to want to come back.
Because he talked to us, look at he had 10 tackles,
seven solo, a sack, and two tackles.
Hey, Hen, if you want to dial in, you want to talk to right quick,
you know, the line open for you
anytime, bro. Tremendous game
tonight. He was all over the place, don't know.
He was. He was hunting.
Ashton Jindon's
finding out what it's like in the NFL.
Oh, it's a different ball game.
Hey, listen, let me tell you something.
Let me tell you something. All those runs,
all those runs that's supposed to be
between the A and the B gap and trying to
bounce them out and think you're going to outrun people.
Uh-uh.
That's not happening. You better hit that home.
No.
Do everything you can.
And hope you can get to the
second level and take that to take that to a take that two or three game or it's going to turn
into a one or two loss because you bounce that listen everybody is just as fast if not faster
if not stronger think about it nightcap effect we had henley on look what he did yeah yeah
we had bud on look what he did Melissa Jefferson she was on look what she did now I don't
Hey, I'm just saying that's just three.
Now, if you want, if you want something to be,
come on.
Hey, we had a, uh, Ryan Cougloon.
Look at what the numbers.
I, I just say it.
Hey, it's not a coincidence.
It's common sense.
No.
It ain't a coincidence.
It's common sense.
That's all.
That's all.
Too many occurrences is not a coincidence.
Come on that.
Y'all see what it is.
Y'all see exactly what it is.
But like, like I said, I like what I'm seeing from the charges, Justin Herbert.
Look, the one thing we know about Jim Harbaugh, you can say what you want to say about
him, he can coach his ass off.
And it gets progressively better and then normally there's a little tapering off.
You go back and look at what he did at Stanford, Bill, Bill, Bill, boom.
He goes to San Francisco, Bill, Bill, Bill, and then, you know, loses quarterback and things
start to happen.
You know, they fire him, and they had a budding, the front office in Jim.
him, whatever the case may be.
He can coach.
Every team that he's ever coached has gotten better once he's arrived.
You go back and look at San Diego.
You look at Stanford.
You look at the 49ers.
You look at Michigan.
They hadn't won a championship.
I don't know, maybe since 48.
Gerald Ford might have been, excuse me, President Ford might have been on the
roster by the time.
I mean, as great as we think of coach Jim Bechler, he didn't win a national championship.
Oh, let me take that back.
They won in 97.
in the 2017 with Brian Greasy.
They didn't win.
But we think of Michigan, we think, but man,
they get just loaded with those championships.
No, it had been over 20 years
since they had won a championship.
And Jim, and, you know, people were calling for his head.
Old Cacket Pants wasn't getting it done, no, Joe.
Started off a bottle, and then he was just losing and losing,
but he stayed afloat by kicking the Ohio State's ass.
So, you know, you can buy yourself some time
if you beat your rival, your biggest rival.
It's kind of like Auburn and Alabama.
You won't beat the other.
You'll buy you a little time.
Absolutely.
But Harbock can coach, and he has a quarterback that can make every throw on the field.
But eventually they're going to have to run the football.
I do not believe that you can just become reliant on the passing game.
That would be the one to knock, the one knock.
Even though they won the game tonight, they have to be able to establish run at some point
to make things easier and take the pressure off of Justin Herbert.
So he doesn't have to football.
Yes.
Keep the defense.
And whoever they're playing,
got to be able to keep them honest. No fumble, too.
No fumble. Was that a Marion Hampton fumble the night?
Yes. You got the whole long time. And then they were on fourth down. I don't even know
if they called that a fumble locho on fourth down because it was going to, you know, you don't
get us a change of possession anyway because it was fourth down and he tried to do like a
jet suite and, you know, 12 took his eye off the ball and then the ball's on the ground,
something like that. But if you look at them defensively, had two, three, four, five,
six. They had six tackle for losses, three sacks.
They did a great job getting out the Gino. They did a great job of
collapse in the pocket, corralling Austin Genty.
The charges, I don't think I'm going out on limb. I think the charges are for real.
I think they're one of the three or four best teams in the AFC right now.
It's going to be very, very interesting how this thing, I know it's early, Ocho.
It's only two weeks into the first, the NFL season, but they look good.
They look really, really good.
And that quarterback, he's what they've advertised.
and I understand that he's going to need to do it in the playoffs and the big moments
because we saw him in last year against the Texans and he was horrible.
And we saw him have a 24, 27-0-0 lead against Jacksonville and they got walked.
So he has those two horrible Ls on his resume, but he's going to be in some big games.
With that coach, with that team, they're going to be in some big games.
And it's going to be up to him to carry his part.
And I think he's more than capable of doing that.
But I really love what I'm seeing from this defense.
It's going to be interesting to see how this thing with Cleo Mac.
Some people say, do we have an idea of what they say Cleo Mac?
I thought it was something wrong with his elbow.
Elbow, dislocated elbow?
When I was in the stadium, obviously, it goes up on the Jumbotron, players out,
and it tells you a description on what it was.
They say it elbow, so I'm not sure.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, subplicated dislocated.
Dislocated Zubbo?
I know the feeling.
I, yeah, I've dislocated my elbow.
dislocated by right elbow.
It hurt like a moa.
How long is that out?
I missed five weeks.
Well, no, let me take that back.
I missed, I heard it in the second beginning
of the second quarter, so I missed that game in four weeks.
So I'm running.
Okay.
Played with a brace for the rest of the year.
Hmm, ah, ah.
That's how my look, yep.
I, you know, tried to brace myself on the ground.
And somebody came from behind?
No, the ground.
And, you know, I got it pinned.
I could, yeah, I couldn't get it out.
It hurt.
Boy, it hurt like a mofo.
But I think there'll be, I think, you know, the charges will be okay.
But it's not something that's season ending.
He'll be back.
He'll have to play with a brace.
You know, JJ White played with a brace.
whole career. He dislocated. Yeah, he dislocated his and played with a brace on for the rest of
his career. I couldn't. I mean, it's hard to catch when you a, where you catch the ball,
it's kind of hard to play with that thing. I mean, I had to play because I played with it for the
rest of the year and they didn't want anything to happen. But I know once that season was over and
I got into an offseason, I wouldn't coming back with that thing on. I know a lot of defensive
linemen and some offensive linemen once they do it because they're doing a lot of this.
You can only bend your arms so much. Remember Grong played with one too?
Yeah, yeah. Yep. So it's a congratulations charges. You moved to two and oh and you sit
alone on the top, the AFC West.
