Starting point is 00:02:58 cry. Oh, Joe, the Colts beat the Chargers. Hey. Coach was good. Indiana Jones balling. Hey, you see what happened when you got a quarterback? Matter of fact, it's not only, not only having a quarterback, you're having a quarterback that's in the right situation that has the right complimentary pieces around him.
Starting point is 00:03:18 This is what you get. Yeah. It wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't wrong with Daniel Jones. Maybe the Giants just wasn't a good fit for him. You know who is a good fit for the Giants? God damn Jackson Dart. but Daniel Jones is in a good place where they want them. Now I understand why they give him that one year of 14 million.
Starting point is 00:03:34 That one year of 14 million, now it's been to turn it's... By the turning to 50. Man, who are you telling? By the turning... It's about to turn into five for a quarter of a building. Because he's playing really... 38 to 24-Ocho, Indiana Jones, 24, 23 or 34, 288, two touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Jonathan Taylor, 16 for 94, three touchdown. They had 23 rush attempts, 120 yards, three touchdowns. Indiana Jones tacked on another two touchdown passing, and they were clean. No turnovers, no interceptions, no fumbles. Justin Herbert, 37 of 55, 420, three touchdowns, two peaks. That also was a difference. Turning that ball over was a difference.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Yep. Got him. Buck got him twice. Hey. Let two got him once. So they had three sacks. They were playing uphill all day. I didn't know Gasson had a son.
Starting point is 00:04:37 A Ronde Gadsden? Yeah, that's his son, right? It is? I don't know. And that is a play with the Dolphi. Yeah, the receiver. Ronde Gasson. Yeah, Keenan Allen had 11 for a buck 19.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Arronday Gasson has seven for a buck 64 and a touchdown. Ladd McCawkey had nine for 67 Ocho Land McCawkey had 15 targets Keenan Allen had 14 targets Gadsden had nine targets Quentin Johnson had six targets Hey
Starting point is 00:05:09 Is that his dad? It is? Yeah Now his dad wasn't fast But if you throw it anywhere in the stadium Every time Man that joke had the biggest hand That joker had the biggest hands
Starting point is 00:05:22 He had to catch a man Hey, who played on the side of Ronde? That wasn't, that wasn't McDuffie, was it? Yep. Got damn McDuffie. I wonder if that was the same time when your T.O. Green was there. You remember your Tio Green?
Starting point is 00:05:38 I do. I'm trying to think it was Tony Martin. They're pretty Tony. You remember back in Miami? Because Tony, I'm trying to think, yeah. Tony was there and the night. Yeah, Tony was there. What about Tony Martin?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. They're all around the same time. Ingram? Nah, what was the one from Penn State? What's the one that ended up having a turnbook? OJ. McDuffie. OJ. McDuffy. Yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Ocho, the Chargers. Man, Indiana, the coast are for real, Ocho. The cold are for real. Yeah. Listen, I would say if it's maybe, maybe a two games or three games, but this is every week with them. This is every week with them. Even, even, I think they've lost one game.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And that's because what you call them, you know, remember they foaming the ball out of the end zone? Yeah, the receipt. It was down. It was downs. Downs from the ball going into the end zone. Yep. and I don't know if you notice this, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:06:56 He ain't been back on the field. They're not used any much? Nope. Pierce had five catches for 98 yards. Warren, the tight end, had four for 69 a touchdown. Pittman Jr., seven for 58 and a touchdown. Jonathan Taylor had three for 38. Mitchell, Moellie Cox.
Starting point is 00:07:14 No, but nope. Nope. Nope. But they look good, Ocho. They got, they hit 23, the score was 23, 3 at the half. They scored 15 in the third. And they're putting points on the board, man. Because they get, look, and we said this, Ocho, they got pieces.
Starting point is 00:07:35 You got Jonathan Taylor. Jonathan Taylor is the top five back. You know what, honestly, and that's why the offense is also working as well. Because there's ballot. They're not just throwing the ball all willy-nilly, but it makes it easier to throw the ball because what Jonathan Taylor is also doing out the back. You know what I just thought about that.
Starting point is 00:07:52 That was A.D. Mitchell who messed up that, who dropped that ball too. Yeah, he had one catch for, yeah, he had one catch for, well, last week I don't think he played, but he had one catch today for, one catch, one catch for eight yards. But when you have Jonathan Taylor, when you can run the ball like they can, and you look at the weapons that they have, and we said, I said, don't you know, if they get a, if they get a decent quarterback, they got enough. offensive firepower, they can be good.
Starting point is 00:08:24 And when they brought, I said, he's going to be, I said, Daniel Jones going to be the starter. The mere fact that they, you can't bring somebody in, pay him more than the starter, and don't expect him to be the starter. They didn't put that in incentives, Ocho. That's his base contract. It's 14 million.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Now, he might have an additional three, four, five million in incentives, but they didn't incentivize this contract. They said, we're going to give you one year 14 million. he's about to parlay this into probably a quarter of a billion dollar deal. It also makes me think, it also makes me think
Starting point is 00:08:56 as talented as Anthony Richardson is, why couldn't he get this done with the same pieces that Daniel Jones? But hold on, you ain't talking about Anthony Richardson said that the NFL is easier than college, right? Yeah, not him. Yes, sir, that one, that one.
Starting point is 00:09:11 You see, now you know what you can see? Oh, man, it's easy to him. This is why you keep your mouth closed if you're a quarterback. It's so easy. You started, you kept your job in college even when you was playing bad. Who said NFL is easier than college? Who thinks that?
Starting point is 00:09:32 You know what, oh, Cho? You ain't got study hall. You don't have all this stuff. You have to be able to manage your time in the NFL because you're grown. Ain't nobody come wake your ass up to come break, hey, man, we got to go to study hall. Man, we got to go. Don't nobody do that. You got to be an adult to play.
Starting point is 00:09:50 the NFL. So from that aspect of it, but he made it seem like, oh, man, this is here. NFL, a piece of me? What? Yeah. It's very difficult. I said, damn, the NFL must be a different NFL than what we played in because it wasn't easy.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Nah, not at all. I know one thing. I'm not sure when the last time you've been to a game, hey, Chad, I'm sure you've been to football games and you sat in the stands, you watched it. Hey, um, when I went to the Bengal game Thursday, the game looks so easy from sitting up there. Damn, right open, it's right to the left. Wait, look, it's wide open.
Starting point is 00:10:26 It's right there, just, just so it. It looks easy when you up there to stand. It looks so easy. And I'm just thinking about, I understand how difficult the game is when you actually in the line of fire as opposed to it looks through the stands. Now I see why fans talk the trash that they do. Oh, this is why y'all say all that stuff, y'all be saying.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Yeah, it looks so deep. But I said, Ocho, I can see stuff in real time. I told Carson wins. Carson wins, why did you take the flat round? The flat was open right now, and he had got a first down. You ground the ball, you shoved the ball in the ground. They throw an intentional grounding. I'm like, bro, I saw it in real time.
Starting point is 00:11:00 And then I'll see the replay. They replayed it and talked about this where he should have went. Yeah, I saw it in real time. I'm like, damn. Ocho, what's going on with the charges? You know what? I'm not sure. I'm not sure because some weeks they look very good.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Is this the first 400-yard game this season, Herbert? Is this the first 400-yard passing game this season? You know, I don't think it's really nothing wrong with the charges. I don't think there's nothing wrong with them. I don't. I still think they're going to compete and be right at the top of that division when it's all said it's done. Is this the first 400-yard passing game this season in the NFL? Who else to throw them for 400?
Starting point is 00:11:49 But look, Ocho, we can go back and forth. He should have stayed in college, Ocho. I'm not staying in college when I can come out and get $35 million. I'm sorry, I'm not. I'm not, Ocho. Hold on. Hold on. How about you?
Starting point is 00:12:06 Oh, yeah, yeah, you're right. Hold on. I'm not, Ocho. Why leave college early, right, for $35 million? Where you can stay another year and develop a little bit better so you're that much better prepared for the NFL. Well, knowing you're not ready. Guess what? I get, Ocho, I get to that three-year quicker.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Well, what? Okay, now you get to that three-year quicker, now what? Now look what happened. Hey. Not what happened. Ocho. Here's, Ocho, it's simple. You go back and look at him in college, he was a barely at 50% completion guy. You go look at him in high school, he was barely at 50% guy. In the NFL, he's 50%. He is what he is.
Starting point is 00:12:47 He hasn't gotten any better, but you are of just the physical, you know, the talented, you know, the big discussion, Tom Brady wasn't talented, Peyton Manning wasn't talented because they had things that you couldn't see, you couldn't measure. You couldn't measure their speed. You couldn't measure the day and got no jumping at. What did he do? He ran 4-4, 40-inch vertical. Short-cut.
Starting point is 00:13:10 He had everything. He could throw the ball 75 yards. Damn. The forces shaping the world's economies and financial markets can be hard to spot. Even though they are such a powerful player in finance, you wouldn't really know that you are interacting with them. And even harder to understand. Donald Trump's trade war, 2.0, is only accelerating the process of de-dollarization, which in a way is jargon for people turning away from the dollar.
Starting point is 00:13:41 That is where the big take from Bloomberg podcast comes in to connect the dots. How unusual is a deal like this? Unprecedented. Every weekday afternoon, we dive deep into one big global business story. The biggest story of the reaction of the oil market to the conflict in the Middle East is one of what has not happened. Katie, you told me that ETFs are your favorite thing. They are. Explain that. Why is that the case?
Starting point is 00:14:06 And unpack what it means for you. Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples, and so they sort of become outsized indicators of inflation. Listen to the big take from Bloomberg News every weekday afternoon on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Matt Jones. I'm Drew Franklin. And this is NFL cover zero. We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different. Did you see the Colts Pretzel?
Starting point is 00:14:38 That was my other big takeaway from that game. What was that? Oh, my. We think NFL coverage should be informative and entertaining. Twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get. Listen NFL Cover Zero with Matt Jones and Drew Franklin on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Toyota, the official automotive partner of the NFL. Visit Toyota.com slash NFL now to learn more.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I'm Simone Boyce, host of the Brightside podcast, and on this week's episode, I'm talking to Olympian, World Cup Champion, and podcast host, Ashlyn Harris. my worth is not wrapped up in how many things I've won because what I came to realize is I valued winning so much that once it was over, I got the blues and I was like, this is it. For me, it's the pursuit of greatness. It's the journey. It's the people. It's the failures.
Starting point is 00:15:35 It's the heartache. Listen to the bright side on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Joe Flacko with 31 to 47, 3.42, three touchdowns. No sacks. They ran the ball 23 times for a buck 42. Jamar Chase 16 catches a buck 61 in the touchdown. Higgins, six for 96 and a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Noah Fount had four for 44 and a touchdown. There wasn't a whole lot of defense being played. But here we go. Ocho, the Bengals beat the Steelers. 3331 and what many called the icy hot bowl. This was not the unc bowl. This was the uncles. Uncles. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:16:23 They can't, they ain't no, they're uncles. That's my uncle. So, Ocho, watching this game, I mean, look, Steelers jumped out to a 10-0 lead. Like, damn, Bengals. And then all of a sudden, start in the fourth quarter, the Bengals have a 10-point lead. And then the Bengals have a 10-point lead
Starting point is 00:16:40 to start the fourth quarter. And the next thing you know, the Steelers go down in the field, Rogers hit Friamuth, he takes off, and they have a one-point lead. But if you're a Steelers fan, based on what you had seen up until that point, you could not have felt comfortable with the way your defense was playing. Every defense of bat from the Steelers, Chase gave it to everybody. He gave it to Rams in the first half. He said, you know what?
Starting point is 00:17:04 I think Slay and Porter feeling left out. I'm going to make sure y'all a ass get it the second half. So don't nobody feel like, oh, he was picking on somebody's size. I picked on everybody. and gave it to everybody. And T. Higgins said, hold on. Did they forget about me? Hey, give me that shot down.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Give me that rail shot. Let me end this thing. And he did something smart. He said, nah, I could score. I could split it. But now, let me go on down because I don't want y'all to get a chance to do nothing crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Because I know Aaron Rogers is known to throw a hair or marry here there, but you won't get a chance to. Oh, Joe, watching this game, what did you like about what you saw from your bingoes tonight? Well, first off, we know what Flacko did. We know what Chase did.
Starting point is 00:17:39 We know what Tegan did. But I want to get credit to the officer line. I want to give credit to the officer line. I want to give credit to Zach Taylor. Not worrying about all the noise on the outside. Oh, he needs to be fired. Oh, it's the play calling. It wasn't none of that.
Starting point is 00:17:53 That was never the problem. Winning games like this against a division opponent, it starts up front. The officer line played extremely well tonight. They kept Flacco clean for most of the game. Obviously, T.J. Watt and Hayward got a sack towards the end. I don't want to call it garbage time because it was very important that we were able to get down the field. But outside of that,
Starting point is 00:18:14 they kept Flacco clean all goddamn thing. That goddamn third down, and they ran a goddamn read option with Joe Flacco? They never expected it. A read option with Joe Flacco? Who does that with a quarterback? That's not a dual threat. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Beautiful play call. That's why it worked, because you're not expected it. At all, at all. Beautiful play goal, obviously. The Steelers, they didn't really play good defense. They had some blown assignments on defense. Allow Chase to get off.
Starting point is 00:18:44 On that shallow cross laying the ball, Ocho. Yeah. That man got 15 catches. How the hell you let him get free for 16 on the shallow cross and ain't nobody guarding it? Listen, there was confusion. There was a confusion at the second level.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Once the motion went, once the motion went, Patrick Queen, they was confused on who was supposed to pick up who. And now obviously Chase freed up outside. Well, I'm picking up, I'm picking up Chase. If somebody else get the ball, I'm good with that. I can live with that, Ocho. I'm picking up Chase. Man, that ain't your guy.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Don't worry about it. He got 15 cats. I'm just trying to make sure you don't get 16. But listen, man, it's amazing, right? It's amazing what happens when you get a quarterback with a veteran presence that's used to willing and dealing and you put him in a situation, you put him in the atmosphere with two elite receivers like that, a good quarterback, a good number three,
Starting point is 00:19:31 a nice tight end. You saw Norfolk, Norfan got integrated into the offense a little bit more tonight. Yeah. It looked great. This is one of the best games, and it got so good to the point, I didn't even care who won the game. I didn't even care who won the game because it was so exciting
Starting point is 00:19:46 on both sides of the, on both sides of the ball, you know, not really much defense, but Aaron Rogers was dealing. He was. Joe Flackle was dealing. One bad play, he had one bad play. The DB made an excellent play on, on a D.K. Metcalfe.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Pulled that ball out? The interception? That's not on Rogers. Oh, yeah, it definitely was. That was a good. A, DJ Turner, Unk? Yeah. He's quarterback number one.
Starting point is 00:20:11 He's quarterback number one. don't know what happened. I don't know why Camp Taylor Britt were the healthy scraps tonight. I wasn't sure. But after watching tonight, how they played, the DBs played, especially DJ Turner, boy, I salute you. Well, I salute you. Could you show Joe, you know what the night, but that goddamn officer line, that officer line needs all the credit for the night, um, because we already know what Chase could do. We already know what T. Higman could do. We know what Chase Brown could do that we were able to establish the run. Before tonight's game, Chase Brown was having two yards a carry, huh?
Starting point is 00:20:41 Two. Two yards a carry. He finished, what, with a hundred and six? I think maybe he had a hundred and seven. A hundred and eight or eleven carries. Man, that's beautiful. Anytime you can run the ball like that, it makes everything else you want to do easy. It opens up the playbook.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Man, it was a beautiful thing. And the fact that we as a team, now we can compete. Why can we compete? Because we got a quarterback. A quarterback that's only been here for 24 hours. He got him for 24 hours And I heard some of the stuff They gave him he had 30 plays
Starting point is 00:21:16 They gave him 30 plays last week That's all he had on this plate was 30 plays And obviously Playing in the Green Bay game It's only so much you could do But he looked good in that second half When I saw that driving the second half I'm like, wait a minute
Starting point is 00:21:30 I think we're going to be all right And tonight I sure they added more to his plate And this is what you get This is what you get So next week, I'm not sure who we plan. We're going to look even better offensively. Defense, just meet us halfway.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Meet us halfway. And by the time December gets here, showing that we can compete in regards to who we plan because the offense is now back because we have a competent quarterback that can make all the throws, we're going to be all right. You got the jets.
Starting point is 00:21:57 I'm happy. Oh, Joe. Now you understand why Tomlin made those comments. Oh, oh. Now you understand. He said you have a quarterback that was good enough to be your opening day starter. You trade into a team that needs a quarterback.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Yes. Either Andrew Barry is smarter than either of us. But yeah, yeah, most definitely. And the funny thing about it is Tom and understood is you take a quarterback like Joe Flacko that's been in different situations, different offenses, and you put him in an offense with that kind of talent?
Starting point is 00:22:34 Yep. with the kind of talent that can raise your level of play. Flacco ain't got to do much. He's not on a team where he has to raise his level of play because the lack of talent around him. It's the opposite way when you come here. They're going to lift him. Opposite.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Ocho, the thing is you say game 30 plays, he don't need but two plays. If Chase is one-on-one, throw it to it. Period. They got Chase double, throw it to T. Higgins. It's not really that complicated. And he dropped one. He had a shallow cross against Queen.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And you see, if Flacko's like, face. Oh, my God. That was the easiest pan. You, the play that you made tonight and you dropped that one. So he probably should have 17 to 18. I'm going to start calling Chase Mr. Thursday night because we know what he does on Thursday night.
Starting point is 00:23:17 You know, last year, he had 11 for 264. 11 for 264. Three touchdown. Three TDs. A matter of fact, in the first half, this I know, and we talked about it too. Well, I talked about how Carson and I had that sense of if we see a certain play, he had checking and change it. Man, why Blacko and God damn Chase did that in the first half?
Starting point is 00:23:36 Yeah. Blacko saw the coverage. He tapped his helmet, checked out of the run, and they must have knew what it was. He threw it right to Chase. I said, no, we're going to be all right. I'm going to be a lot. I have one thing I want to say, too, also. With that.
Starting point is 00:23:52 For all the Bengals fans that are probably watching tonight in the chat, this is why, this is why despite some of the things you were saying is it's not about Zach Taylor. It's not about the play calling. It's all about those that. on the field, executing the plays that are called. And when you have a quarterback, this is why they're paid the big bucks. Yep. When you have a quarterback, anything is possible.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Anything is possible. I know one thing, they better not let flack out that goddamn room. I don't care even when Joe Burrow come back. Do not let number 16 get out that goddamn room. That is on backup from now on. Oh, yeah, for sure, for sure. That's why they went and got it. They got a guy to have a big time arm.
Starting point is 00:24:30 He can throw, he can make throws. he understands look he doesn't have mobility so you've got to protect him you've got to do a better job of protecting because he has limited mobility now especially from the pocket now you saw him run that uh that naked on the zone read that naked i'm not hey ain't nobody i mean hoss smith crashed down because i'm not anticipating him pulling the ball that's joe plackle absolutely not absolutely yeah uh fields or lamar jackson or josh allen yeah i'm gonna be justin herbert yeah i'll be a little nervous. Joe Flacko? They don't know. They ain't gonna never. Damn, they did it. Steelers DBs, just go ahead and chalk this up.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Don't watch it. Don't watch it. Don't worry about it. Don't even worry about it. Because he gave it to everybody. Yeah. Everybody. And it wasn't close.
Starting point is 00:25:21 It wasn't like there was some, some throws like there. He threaded the needle and you guys were right there. Y'all wasn't close. No. Y'all wasn't close. Not at all. And just go ahead and chalk this one up. Hey, hey, it happens, but for him, for, for, for, for them, I've never seen somebody hunt the number one D.B like they hunted tonight.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Yeah, more definitely, more definitely. You're not, even with, even with Satan or the top corners, you're not supposed to hunt like that. Yeah. Well, actually, I wouldn't even call the hunting. I would say most of the time, during our time, during our time, when you had a great DB, most of the time, most of the time. The quarterback, for some reason, they would never go his way. No, hell, wow. You're taking that chance.
Starting point is 00:26:06 You don't even challenge them. No. For some reason. And I'm telling you, based on experience, is when we're playing against top corners, you know, the offense, it goes away from that individual, and it almost make you upset. It almost make you upset. But tonight, boy, Flacco didn't care.
Starting point is 00:26:23 He didn't care. He did not care. I mean, he gave it to a look. Ram had an off night. Slay, they put Slay on him Slay, you take him in the second half, Slay couldn't do anything with him.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Junior, Joy Porter, Jr. He would have to learn how to play better without his hands. He too touchy feeling. He gets a lot, he gets a lot of PIs. Yeah, he's going to get a lot of PIs. And you're going to have to learn to do a better job.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Locate the ball, let the guy go. He got two PIs. He got one on T. Higgins. He got one on Chase. Yeah. And he's looking like, man, what, bro, you can't tug the guy's jersey because the back judge is standing right there
Starting point is 00:27:01 he can see it and you're doing it in the middle of the field. Yeah, you can see all of that. As a defensive back, obviously, you know, playing against the T. Higgins, playing against the Jamar Chase, some of the stuff that you're able to get away with
Starting point is 00:27:16 because of your skill set with lesser caliber receivers, it'll work. When you play against your elite receivers, your whole game plan have to change. Your whole game plan in the way, the way you play them, it has to change. It just has to.
Starting point is 00:27:31 The thing is, Ocho, like, when you play a great receiver, what you normally would get away with with a lesser receiver, like not holding that clutching and grabbing, they're going to call it. Every time. Because normally, Chase is probably already gone to the officials. Now, you know they can't guard me one-on-one, right? So they're going to play a little extra attention.
Starting point is 00:27:52 He's so good in space. You can put him outside the numbers. you can put him in the slot, you can put him in motion. He's tremendous run after the catch. He's not that big, but he runs behind his pads. So when you run behind your pads, you've got to tackle him. He's not going to go down with arm tackles or he's not afraid of contact. So he'll run through contact.
Starting point is 00:28:16 He reminds, he runs a lot because he's his side, that he's not as big as my brother, but he runs like my brother. He runs like Anquam Bolden. He runs like T. Now, they were bigger receivers. T.O. is a much bigger receiver. But if you see how they run, they run, like when they get the ball,
Starting point is 00:28:32 it's almost like they're running back. Matter of fact, you know what? You know who's a great comparison of Jemar Chase when he has a ball in his hands? As far as running behind his past, that damn Steve Smith, who refused to go down. Yeah. The exact same way, exact same.
Starting point is 00:28:46 They're very strong. And because he has that running back pedigree that he played when he was younger, he's so good with run out the catch. Same thing. for Steve Smith. They played angry with the ball. They ran angry with the ball.
Starting point is 00:29:03 And that was a hell of a game. It was a hell of a game. It was a great game. Both teams got to look. The defenses, neither defense came to play outside of that. Outside of that one sack, I didn't even know. I thought T.J. Watt was hurt. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Obviously, he had, listen, Mim did a hell of a job. Yeah, and he had helped, no offense with the chips. Chase Brown was some of the chips. You know, before they went out, they went out in the past coverage. So they did help him a little bit. But in that fourth quarter where T.J. Warton Hayward were able to get that sack on Flacco, it was one-on-one.
Starting point is 00:29:35 It was one-on-one. So that's why he did. He had help. But outside of that, they kept Flacco clean all goddamn game, man. But you allowed to make other plays other than sacks. He had a tackle. Yeah. His imprint has got to be on this game.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Yeah. You know if you, first of all, a non-moving. quarterback, if you don't disrupt this time and he'll pick you apart. That's the same thing will happen with cousins. If you don't put pressure on cousins, what would happen? We've seen him throw for 400. We've seen him throw for 500 yards. If you don't disrupt a mobile, a statue, a prototypical dropback quarterback,
Starting point is 00:30:16 and that's what Flacco is. He's a prototypical 80s, 70s old school drop back quarterback, Ocho. He wants to drop back. He wants to, when his back foot hit, he's going to lay. he wants to let it go. He's not a guy that wants to try to buy time and wait for guys to get open. That's not what he's good at. He's a guy, one, two, three, ball's gone. One, two, three, four, five, ball's gone. Now, most guys don't do a seven-step drop because most guys are in the shotgun, so they'll take a three and a hitch and throw the ball, or four,
Starting point is 00:30:44 or five in a hitch, and throw the ball. But I was, I was surprised that Cincinnati's defense played like this because I don't think Cincinnati's defense is very good, especially since their best pass, Russia Hendrickson was out tonight. That being said, Steelers, I thought the Steelers were better than this. I think they have the second most sacks coming into the game. I think they were 10 behind the Broncos. The Broncos had 30. I think the Steelers had 20.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Yeah. They got two sacks. And outside of those sacks, Flaco really didn't get pressure. If you don't get pressure on a dropback quarterback with those weapons at his disposal, at his disposal, what do you think is going to happen? I just want to know what do you think is going to happen? You got the best receiver in the game, and you got a guy that if you don't disrupt him,
Starting point is 00:31:32 he can pick you apart. Well, that's what happened. And then to exacerbate it, Ocho, you couldn't stop the run. So now you're at their mercy. You can't stop the run. They run it at Will. I mean, Jalen Warren had, what Jailen Warren had, excuse me, Chris Brown, 11 carries for a buck away.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Chase Brown. P. Ryan had seven for 31. Mm-hmm. Well, if you can't stop it, and Flacco had 31 or 47, 3, 42, 3 tubs, no turnovers. That was the difference in the ballgame. I thought the Steelers would, might be going to give a death blow. They had it fourth and one, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:32:09 They jumped outside trying to do the tush push. They got the, hey, it's funny how y'all see the Steelers move, but y'all never see the damn Eagles move. Set up for a field goal. Next thing you know, they come down the field, they get a touchdown, and now they've gotten life. Ocho, you look at Ocho, what did you make of Aaron Rogers going off on Jalen Warren who ran a flea flicker by accident?
Starting point is 00:32:30 Lit readers think Aaron Rogers shouted at him, what are you doing? It wasn't a flea flicker. Yeah. Hey, he has to do that. He has to hold the players accountable. What you lost? You're your thing? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I say, listen, Aaron has to hold the players accountable. Yes. Aaron Rogers understands that every play counts. He has a standard that he has to buy by. He understands everything has to be right because we're in a close game. We need every play. Every play has to count. You can't make that mistake.
Starting point is 00:33:03 You can't. You can't. And I'm not saying that that mistake cost him the game, but that's a play that they would have needed. I said Chris Brown. I met Chase Brown. Coach, here is the thing, Ocho. When you're in a game like this, every play matters because, okay, our defense is not customary tonight. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:21 They're not getting off the thing. field they're not getting three and outs they're driving the ball they're getting points on these possessions so every play becomes magnified yeah and so you can't have a mishap like that i'm trying to figure out what made them think it was a flea flicker now i don't that's that's seemingly what it that's what you know lip readers think he was ordering right but i'm like of all the things you could run i've heard people okay i run the wrong route ocho i ran i went the wrong way right but damn a flea flicker when no flea flicker was called And listen, little miscommunication.
Starting point is 00:33:57 It happens the same way on defense. Both teams had bus in the defensive coverages. The Bengals had one. Hell, the Steelers had one. And just, listen, those plays make a difference. And it's only one, two, maybe three plays in an entire game that changed the trajectory of the play. And the team that makes the fewest mistakes normally wins. and it just happened to be us tonight.
Starting point is 00:34:25 True. Who they think they're going to be. You got, like I said, offensively, you guys are going to be able to put pressure on people. If you jump out to a lead, now you can play. Like I said,
Starting point is 00:34:36 I don't think your back in is very good, Ocho. Whoa, whoa. They made some big-time plays tonight. The guy made a heck of a play. The one he took out of D.K. hand? Yeah, his name is D.J. Turner. Say it with me, DJ Turner. DJ Turner.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Yeah, yeah. That being said, if you go look at the first interception, it was like, I don't know if Roger was trying to throw the seven route and he overshot the seven route or he missed the DK on the go route. Yeah. Because it was like in between, you know what I'm saying, like the seven ran the angle and decay, but the ball was inside. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:13 So I don't know maybe the ball got away from Aaron. But this was like offensive. Starting point is 00:35:53 There's a sort of concerted effort to message that Musk is coming back. He's putting politics aside. He's left the White House. And what can the PCE tell you that the CPI can't? CPI tries to measure out-of-pocket costs that consumers are paying for things, whereas the PCE index that the Fed targets is a little bit broader of a measure. Starting point is 00:37:52 Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Everybody know what happened? What game you're talking about? Ooh. Ooh. You're pretty excited. What game you talk about? Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:38:04 You're going to find out in just a second. Do what? Oh, Joe, why you tweet me, man? You ain't never tweeted me before. But all of a sudden today, all of a sudden today, you want to tweet. I ain't heard of you all. Listen, most of the time, most of the time, you talk. tweeting during the game.
Starting point is 00:38:18 You tweeting during the game, you know, about, you know, certain players the high team is doing. And it just dawned to me, somebody tweeted me and said, well, go check on. Let's do a welding check that makes sure he's okay because he hadn't tweeted by the Broncos all day. That's when I tweeted you. That's when I tweeted you. I just wanted to make sure you was good.
Starting point is 00:38:35 I was good. Okay. You was my. The Broncos scored 33 in the fourth quarter. How about this for ironic? Excuse me. How about this for irony? Wait, before you say that, you're not a conspiracy theorist, are you?
Starting point is 00:38:48 Okay, you are, but go ahead. All right. DeMarius Thomas went into the ring of honor today. DeMarius Thomas passed. He was 33 years of age. How many points did they score in the fourth quarter? 33. Listen, that ain't nothing but God.
Starting point is 00:39:04 For those that are conspiracy theorists, I buy that one. I buy that one. I buy that one. The Broncos scored 33 points in the fourth quarter to come back and beat the judge. It's 33, 32. three lead changes in the final two minutes. Prior to the day, teams had lost 1,600 and two games, consecutive games,
Starting point is 00:39:26 when trailing by at least 18 points with six minutes to play. The Broncos 33 fourth quarter points were the most points in the fourth quarter by any team that had been shut out the first three quarters in NFL history. We did that. We did that. Y'all did. Uh, Ocho, before we getting to discuss this game,
Starting point is 00:39:49 cameras call a very ticked off Brian Burns leaving the field. Let's try to listen to what he had to say. Uh, I guess we're not going to be able to try to hear what he had to say. I know I'm not, I know I'm not deaf, but I show don't hear nothing. I can see his, I can see his mouth moving though. Yeah, we can, we're not, we, we, we didn't get the audio. So Bo Nix was 27. of 50, 279, two touchdown.
Starting point is 00:40:19 The Broncos ran the ball 24 times for a buck 42. Cortland Sutton, big, big games, six catches, 87 yards. Marvin Mims Jr., six catches, 85 yards, Evan Ingram. Everybody was big, that final drive. It was huge. And the Broncos pull out Jackson, Dark. I was like, bro, are you, look, man, I just knew it was over, Ocho. Because when he threw the pants, tossed the middle,
Starting point is 00:40:45 The Broncos guys break it up, and here come 84 from the Giants. Get the ball and turn up the sideline and go 41 yards. I say, you know what, it ain't for us today. It ain't for us, it ain't for us. But you know what? That's one thing about mile high. They got ghosted mile high. They got ghost to mile high.
Starting point is 00:41:04 And if you're a Bronco fan, if you've witnessed games, you've seen the Broncos dig themselves out, whether it was John Elway, whether it was Craig Martin, whether it was Peyton Manning. Hey, Tim Tebow, you've seen some unbelievable comebacks in that stadium. And today was unlike any other that I've ever seen from the Broncos. Ocho, what did, let's take it from the, let's take it from the judge perspective. Because Jackson Dart was 15 or 33, 283, three touchdowns, one of the reception. He was sat four times. They ran the ball 32 times for a buck 19.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Wondell Robinson was six for 95. Bellinger was three for 88. Scatterboat ended up catching a 13-yard touchdown on 3rd and 11. From the Giants, where did the Giants go wrong? What did they do? I think, you know what? Every play counts. We always talk about that and how turnover sometimes is costly
Starting point is 00:42:06 and then make you pay double. You know, for a team to be able to come back, 33 in the fourth quarter field goals that are missed. Fields go to miss that are missed obviously early in.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Those PATs. They cost you, they cost you on the back end. Outside of that, Jackson thought, what you want to do, you want to protect the ball. You want to protect the ball.
Starting point is 00:42:27 You can't throw interceptions. But what you see from him, Monk, and just giving you a chance. When giving you a chance offensively, having a nice, healthy balance of the run and the past,
Starting point is 00:42:36 and then him being able to be a dual threat, and make plays with his legs, extending plays, looking downfield, and doing some of the things he did towards the end of the game. Outside of that, you know,
Starting point is 00:42:49 defensively, no, 33, 33, 13, 13 points in one quarter. In one quarter. Not over a span of an entire game, but that comes down to, listen, defensively, we got, we got to be a little tight knit. We got to be a little tight knit.
Starting point is 00:43:07 And obviously, in those situations as well, offensively, you want to hold a bowl. You want to chew some of that clockout. You want to choose some of that clock out so they're not able to come back, you know, from a deficit like that and just one goddamn quarter. So I think this is the learning experience for Jackson Dart, with it being hit just his four start. But I think they're going to be all right, man, for one thing.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Even though he lost the game, you have to feel good at the Giants fan. You have to feel good. You got something special. You got something very special. Scatterball will have to understand, Ocho. you can't run up everybody or you or you'll have no you'll have no memory by the time you 25 I understand that you look you everybody in the NFL everybody has a certain level of toughness now I'm I ain't telling what somebody told me I'm telling what I know what you say
Starting point is 00:43:56 you don't have to prove how tough you are it's okay say you can what you he ain't going to be able to remember his name at 25 he keep going to try to head hunt people uh but I look they they found their quarterback they've identified their quarterback and he was phenomenal he was really he was really good today he made the one mistake and the one thing that you can't have to happen
Starting point is 00:44:18 even if Ocho even if you punt the ball away you make them drive you let them get the ball back and they only have to go 20 yards for a touchdown so now you minimize the amount of time that they that you've used off the clock if you punt that ball away Ocho and they got to drive 80 yards so be it
Starting point is 00:44:36 unless you give a you know, you say nothing cheap, nothing deep. As long as you don't give up a bomb, it's going to take them a minute, minute, 30, maybe even two minutes. That's what you need. Time is your friend, not a score. Time.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. And so that's the thing. I thought the Broncos, look, I was like, Sean Pate, what are you doing? What is this? You're at home. You're at home. Guys did drop some passes, but I, look,
Starting point is 00:45:07 Look, J.K. Dobbins need more than 14 carries. He had 14 carries from 81 yards. But when you're behind by the margin that they're behind, Ocho, it kind of takes you out of running the football. So now I've got to throw. It's hard to run yourself back into a game. You have to throw yourself back into the game. But I thought Sean Payton did a well enough job
Starting point is 00:45:27 of still incorporating a few runs here or there. The Broncos almost do this. Bro, why are y'all fighting all out? Let them score. They missed the P. Hey, let them score. Let them score. Now you get the ball back with a chance that,
Starting point is 00:45:43 because I was a foregone conclusion that I thought the guy was going to make the BAT. So now we can, you know, you get in field goal range. Now you make a field goal. Now you go in the overtime. I was so glad that they reviewed it and said it was a touchdown and then gave the Broncos an extra six seconds because originally it was scored. It was 31 seconds.
Starting point is 00:46:02 They put an extra six seconds. Remember when they killed a clock, it was two seconds. every second matters when you're behind. But I thought they did a great job. Look at, I mean, it looked like he was throwing the ball. It was like, I don't know what they did. Because Marvin Mims Jr. is supposed to run a scene to clear it. Corlin Sutton is coming in on the dagger.
Starting point is 00:46:26 For some reason, they all in the spot. Mims pull up. They all in the same spot, yeah. And it looked like Sutton was like, and he pulled his hand back. His Mims. Okay, they get up there, they kill it. Now, from the inside, they love to run this play. They put a courtless Sutton in the slot
Starting point is 00:46:43 and they run him on a fade up the rail. He's a great jump ball guy. He's a big. They switch it. Yes, yes. Because guess what? The guy in the slot, he don't want you to run a shell across, so he's going to be slightly inside.
Starting point is 00:46:56 So it's going to be an easy release. It's going to be an easy release. So you've got the advantage on him. He ups over the top of him, catches it, gets out of bounds, come down, spot. like it, and then Will Lutz. You know what? Obviously, Giants fans, John, the owner, John Marr, right?
Starting point is 00:47:14 Yeah, John Marr, Brian Dayball. John Marr, Steve, the Tisch and the Marr family, brother, Tish. Well, they sold a 10% minority steak. I don't know who they sold it to. I'm not sure they sold it to, too. But if you haven't trials for kickers tomorrow, if you haven't trials for kickers tomorrow,
Starting point is 00:47:31 you know who to call. Because I'm probably the best kicker in NFL history because I've never missed. And if you want somebody that's consistent that you can count on where you can win games on their leg and they have one job to do. You have one job. You do one thing for a two-hour practice.
Starting point is 00:47:49 You kick the ball. That's it. Yep. So I'm not too far away. I could be in New York tomorrow. They, those two MES definitely help the Broncos. And, you look,
Starting point is 00:48:05 I don't, I don't care what anybody says. It's deflating. Everybody's high, you high-fiving on the sideline, Ocho. You're like, yeah, we just got a touchdown, and then all of a sudden the field, then all the kicker, the kicker shakes. It is a letdown.
Starting point is 00:48:18 I don't care what anybody says, like, oh, yeah, we're good, we are, we are, no, bro, no. We work too hard to get that six points for you to come out there and jack off, that's one point. And it's so funny, I was so confident. I'm watching the game. I'm like, well, God damn, the Broncos getting whoop. And then somebody treat me, well, shoot, I ain't
Starting point is 00:48:36 heard from Unk, hey, Ocho, you might want to go check on Unk, man. The back of the Bronco getting it, you know what, whoop. I see Jackson Dart go down there like a goddamn magician, and he leaped, he score, you know, great effort. I'm like, oh, let me tweet. I'll make sure I'm good over there. And I look back up. I go to the bathroom and come back. I'm like, what the hell happened?
Starting point is 00:49:02 I did the same thing. I let the dogs out, Ocho, after the Broncos school. and then I come back in like a minute later, the Broncos got the ball. I say, how the hell we get the ball? I don't know how we got it, but I was glad we had it. And the next day, you know, I mean, think about it.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I think I read a stat that says, Bo Nix is the first player in NFL history to throw two passing touchdowns and have two rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. And that's, that means defensively. This, Ocho, if you're a giant, fans fan or you a Giants player, this hurts.
Starting point is 00:49:38 It hurts. This hurts. I'm telling you, I've had, I don't know if I've ever had a defeat like this. Where we had such a big lead, I mean, a T. Low team to score 33 points in the fourth quarter. I don't know if I've ever had a loss like this, but this one hurts. I mean, I've lost the game, you know, walk-off game. We lost a couple of times to walk-offs to, uh, lost to Kansas City one year. I think it's 97, got hit a, I think a 54, 57-yard field go to walking off. But, man, because you played well in the win, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:11 You didn't turn the ball. Think about it. You had one turn over. You had one pick. The interception. But see, when did he throw the pick in the fourth quarter? Remember, all turner was all created equal. You turned this over, you have this pick in the first quarter.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Now a team just scored. Now you give them an opportunity to score again. They're right back in the ball game. Now that stadium is right. rock. And I can just imagine. Now, I know some people had left because I see it, but hey, I saw a lot of, and I saw the cameras moving. I said, yeah, Bronco
Starting point is 00:50:44 Bronco, they rock in that stadium right now. And man, boy, I can say football. Hey, listen, you can say it. Listen, you're worthy. You worthy. You can say football. You can say pigskin. You can say Bronco's country. Let's ride. I mean, whatever you want to say, you can say it. I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I can't, I got to put my foot in my mouth. I got to put my foot in my mouth. Hey, you can put your robe on too. You can put your robe on. No, we don't want to, we don't want the football. We want to see what in the locker. Oh, Joe, just bear, bear where. I beg your body.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Take your time. Listen, I'm with you when you're right. I spoke too soon. I put my foot in my mouth. Listen, I'm not, I'm not too wrong too many times. I was wrong in the night, though. You sure were. Listen, but one thing about, listen, I wasn't on the field.
Starting point is 00:51:40 I wasn't playing defense. I don't know what you would. I wasn't playing even for the Giants. So when you become a Jazz fan? When you become a Giants fan? Yeah, I mean, stop telling me. Who me? Yeah, you.
Starting point is 00:51:50 I'm talking to you. Listen, I'm not a Giants fan. I'm a fan of Jackson Dart. And his excitement that he brings to the. Oh, he played for the Giants. So that means you root for him. You root for him? You root for him?
Starting point is 00:52:00 No, no, I like Skatterball. I like Scatterball or Jackson Dart. Oh, yeah. Okay. you root for him, you root for them. No, I'm reading for the individual, not the team itself. I don't have no air will toward the Giants, but I like with Jackson Darden,
Starting point is 00:52:12 skeddable. I hate eggs, but I love chicken. How are you going to love the byproduct or something? How are you going to look? You don't like the animal, but you like the byproduct. I mean, it happens sometime. It happens some time. Listen, I ain't never said nothing bad about the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:52:27 I never did. That's a different helmet. Oh, oh. What's that? I don't even know why y'all go at this guy. Hey, hey, he's nice, too, though. He's nice. He nice.
Starting point is 00:52:44 You got sucks, too? I don't know what. I don't even know why they thought that on that way. What's you doing with the damn socks? Hey, I'm like, hey, you lucky I didn't come out here, padded up. Hey, y'all look at it. Come out of here, padded up. Matter of fact, you know what?
Starting point is 00:53:02 Matter of fact, I'm trying to think. When my team play again? We play. Y'all play Sunday. Okay. Hey, after we beat the Jets, I'm coming in my full uniform. You should? I'm coming to my full.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Really, Ocho, the Jets? What? Whoa, whoa, this is an NFL team. I can't tell. This is an NFL team. I have nothing. I have nothing to do with how they're doing. Did you see them play today?
Starting point is 00:53:26 That was bad, oh, that was bad. Yes, okay. Ocho, we had a conversation, and we're going to get to it in a minute, about Justin Fields. I said, Ocho, I don't know how much longer they can let him go. I didn't know it would be this soon, though. If he going to keep playing like he played,
Starting point is 00:53:43 we saw him last week against the Broncos, Ocho, minus 10 yards past. Hold on, that's not fair. That's against the Broncos defense, one of the best defenses in the league. Now he played Carolina, and it wasn't much better. Listen, listen, stay with me real quick.
Starting point is 00:53:56 Now, this ain't the same Carolina of old now. It ain't the same Carolina old. They have won no games. Huh? they've won no games. Okay, I'm with you. I'm with you right. There's not much I can say.
Starting point is 00:54:08 But the Broncos, I don't know how, and I ain't asking no question, why. But we came back, scored 33 in the 4th. Have y'all seen anything like that? Yeah, on Madden. On the video game. I mean, we scored 33 in the 4th? I see the majors come back.
Starting point is 00:54:26 That's the most points they've ever scored in the fourth quarter when you didn't score any points in the first place. That's crazy, ain't it? That's crazy. I'm not sure what did the, what did the Giants do defensively, different, the first three-course that they did do in the fourth? Because the Bronco was hurting themselves, because they started playing,
Starting point is 00:54:44 instead of behind the sticks, they started playing in front of the sticks. It's hard. It's hard to keep converting third and ten, third and eleven. It's hard to get that. It's hard to, you know, all of a sudden, you're second and 15, you first and 20. Man, you're not going to make a living
Starting point is 00:55:00 making those, getting that down and different. but the Broncos kept plugging away and the spirits of D.T. Man would not let them lose today. So congratulations to Broncos, Bronco Country. You know, we're proud. Are you happy? We ain't bad and we ain't cocky, but we ride on your team like a Kawasaki. We ain't bad and we ain't cocky, but we ride on your team like a Kawasaki.
Starting point is 00:55:31 I like that. That we did, yeah, that we did. That's a nice little rhyme right there, okay? Yeah. I like that. Your team. Bronco, stand up. Bronco.
Starting point is 00:55:45 That's what we do. I mean, listen, I put my foot in my mouth. I apologize to you. I apologize to all the Bronco fans out there. I still love you. I never say anything bad about you. No ill will. Nothing malicious towards y'all.
Starting point is 00:55:56 It was just a little fun banter between me and aunt. That's all. That's all. Yeah. Take no offense. I was, hey, you know the Broncos, Jackson Dart got dinged a little bit. I was like, yeah, put Russ in there. I had that bird man hand rub.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I said, yeah. Hold on, hold on. Russ is the child of God, now. Russ is the child of God. Now, you ask for one of the God's people to come on that field, then the outcome might not have been what you thought. Yeah. Hey, well, Russ must be a stepson and Jackson Dart is real son
Starting point is 00:56:26 because Jackson Dart got the starting job now. So what is he? I understand what you see. I understand what you're saying Matt Jones filled in again for Brock Purdy did a great job he was 17 to 26 152 won an exception but it was a
Starting point is 00:56:40 combination of CMAC CMA led him in rushing 24 carries a buck 29 two tubs he also let him in receiving seven catches 72 yards along a 17 on eight targets he was missed to everything and they relied heavily on him
Starting point is 00:56:55 and that's what you're supposed to do and the defense got out the penics they didn't really sack him a whole bunch, but they pressured him. They hurried him up. They made it rush his throws, and they went a ball game. They're now moved to five and two as the Falcons fall to three and three. Ocho, watching this game, what did you like about what you saw from the 49ers,
Starting point is 00:57:13 who, you know, they have lost the best defensive player, Bosa, the best defensive player and Fred Warner, you know, they, they've been banged up, their quarterback, starting quarterback, $50 million quarterback, he's out, Iyuk, he's out, uh, Kittle just came back to day. But somehow Kyle Shanahan is pieceded together, kept this team together, and they're five and two. Hey, listen, Mac Jones has been done a hell of a job. He's done a hell of a job in filling in for Rock Purdy.
Starting point is 00:57:41 After Brock Purdy went down, it seems like they haven't missed the beat offensively, despite the injuries on, obviously, on both sides of the ball. Kiddle come back today. I don't really like the way they use Kiddle Tonight up. They used him as if he's a blocking tight-in. Didn't really give him anything on the officer side, off the side of the ball, you know, through the air. but Christian McCaffrey leading the way
Starting point is 00:58:00 not only on the ground but also in the air. They had Joanne Jennings who I expected to be more of a contributor after just, you know, just paying him, allowing him to get a feel for the offense and get some passes. Kendrick Bourne, who just went crazy last week, if I'm not mistaken.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Just went crazy previous week. And he wasn't as effective as he was from an often standpoint for them, but they still won the game. On the other side, on the other side of the ball, the Falconson. It was obviously a snooze fest if you watch the game. I'm not sure if you watch it. You might have watched it with the sound off.
Starting point is 00:58:31 If you watch it with the sound off, you might have been asleep. It wasn't exciting at all. It wasn't excited at all. They kept trying to do the same plays over and over. Outside zone, outside zone, outside zone. But they couldn't really get Bijon free. He couldn't bust one open tonight. Kyle Pitts, they had some plays where they got on the ball, Drake London.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Yeah, I thought he was involved. He had 10 targets tonight, don't Joe. But it just, it just wasn't enough. Look, the teams, look, they're going to have to beat teams. teams throwing the football. Teams are not going to let Bejohn Robinson. We know what Bejohn Robinson can do. We're not going to let him have the type of game that Christian McCamper had.
Starting point is 00:59:05 You remember the other night, Ocho, against Buffalo. We saw what he did. He ran the ball and he received him. We're not letting him do that. If Drake, if Michael Pennix Jr. can drop back and throw the ball and beat us, so be it. But we're not going to let that running back beat us because he's special. We understand just how special he is. You're going to have to beat up.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Your quarterback's going to have to beat us from the pocket. and you look actually I want to put him on the move because he's not nearly as accurate on the move as he is from the pocket and you notice they brought some pressure to get him on the move and he was inaccurate
Starting point is 00:59:41 21 of 30s 8, 241 1 touchdown was sacked twice hurried a bunch but they stymied him running the football Ocho 20 carries 62 yards that's not good enough that is not nearly good enough for this team in order to win because they have to have some talent, somewhere.
Starting point is 01:00:00 And that's when they're at their best, when they can get Algeria running the football, when they can get Bejon Robinson running the football, that's when the Falcons are at their best. And tonight they couldn't get the running game, and so they became so reliant on the passing game. And I don't think Pinnock Jr. is there yet. Drake London had 10 targets on the four catches.
Starting point is 01:00:20 As you mentioned, Kyle Piss had 10 targets. He did have seven catches for 62 yards, which was probably one of his better games thus far this year. but in order for the Falcons to be what they think they can be, especially with this offense and firepower, it starts with that running back. It starts with him. He is the, look, he might not be,
Starting point is 01:00:40 he's the spoon to stir it. Now, he might not be the sugar. He might not necessarily be the tea. But if you just dump sugar and tea in there and puts water in there, and, hey, all the things are going to go to the bottom. He stirs it. He makes everything swirl. He makes everything bad.
Starting point is 01:00:57 he makes everything better and he makes everything go offensively when you have a night like tonight when the 49 to say it's obviously the second level did one hell of a job with fred warner being gone nick posting being gone the second level did a hell of a job and stopping be john robinson so what's the next thing you have to go to you have to go through the arm you have to go through your pass the game drake london mooney cow pitts all those guys have to be able to to contribute to the offense of um game plan and allowing michael pennings juniors to flourish through the air I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 01:01:29 What happened? It hurt? Why you took your helmet off, uh? Hey, any, anyway, chat, I think for Michael Penning, Jr., if the run game is not working with B. John Robinson, he has to be able to get back there and throw the ball. He has to. And then, um, they throwing smoke screens.
Starting point is 01:01:50 They throwing smoke screens to the Kyle Pitts. They throwing, you heard me? Yeah. They throw on smoke screens to Kyle Pitts. That does nothing for him. That does nothing for him. He's not that kind of player and he's not that twitches. Catch a ball and face somebody up and make move.
Starting point is 01:02:05 That's not what he does. You put him in positions like you did on third down. You put him down to the receiver and you have complete mismatches. Use them that way. But, I mean, listen, I think they misuse them a little bit. Outside of that, I don't know. I mean, look, Ocho, I would have liked to play in today's game because I'm going to have a bunch of catches.
Starting point is 01:02:26 because they throw so many screens and shovel passes to the tight ends and all that stuff. But put me down the field. I'm trying to get down the field. I ain't got to worry about nobody. I ain't got to worry about receiver kicking out somebody or the tackle kicking out somebody or the running back blocking somebody. Send me down the damn field. I know what coverage it is.
Starting point is 01:02:46 And so I know I'm vulnerable. So, but look, this is a big win for the 49ers. And this is what you look like when you sign a backup quarterback, you want your backup quarterback to be able to hold a quarterback. down until your starter comes back. I still believe, I firmly believe they should have stayed exactly where they were. Took Matt Jones.
Starting point is 01:03:06 You don't have to give up anything. Now those picks, those first round picks and those second round picks that you had to give up, think about what you could have done. Because they do a good job of drafting. They do a great job of identifying a player and developing said player. They do a great job of that.
Starting point is 01:03:25 But Brock Purdy's, saved him, but going to get Matt Jones has really helped them out this year because I'm not so sure Matt Jones has been a starter. He's been a pro bowl player. He understands he's perfect for this system. He doesn't have a big arm. He has great anticipatory skills. He can throw in timing. He understands. He's a smart guy. He's not mobile. He's not. But he can do what Cal Shanahan needs him to do in order to win ball games. And that's all I need you to do. Son, keep us afloat. I just, hey, you got this life or just. You got this life or the lights did they have on this state for 24 hours.
Starting point is 01:04:02 I need you to keep us, I need you to keep us afloat for 24 days. It's been longer because this is his fifth game starting, Ocho. But I thought he played really well. He got a, you know, a couple of drops in there, had a deep ball. And number five, I don't know what his name is. Like, bro.
Starting point is 01:04:17 You got to have that. Drop. You got to have it, Ocho. That was a nice part return. That's, that's what, you got to have it, Ocho. because, look, we're playing with our backup quarterback. We got to help him out. You know, Ocho, now you got to step in place.
Starting point is 01:04:33 We got to have everything. We got to make those tough catches. Excuse me, those tough catches. And that's what they needed to do. Dallas Cowboys double up the Washington Commanders, 4422. The Cowboys' offense is rolling. Dak, 21 of 30, 264, three touchdowns.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Javante Williams, 19 carries, a buck 16, one touchdown. CD Lamb, first game back, five catches, a buck 10, touchdown, long, 74. George Pickens, 4, 82, long, 44, Jake Ferguson, seven catches, 29 yards, two tubs. The Cowboys' Office looked really good. Their defense looked a lot better because they played from behind and now to get to pin their ears back. that's the key they were they they they got after uh they have four sacks today kenneth murray junior had one james had one uh jadevian clownie had one i can't even i ain't i ain't even i ain't even miss this brother's name uh oh cho watching the cowboys
Starting point is 01:05:40 as a matter of fact they got guess where they're they're on the road next week and yeah hey i ain't going i'm not going to talk no trash i'm not going to talk no trash but i know one thing Pat Certain the second, he's going to have his hands full, depending on who he follows, whether it be George Pickens or whether be C.D. Lamb, but I know he ain't going to do a hell of a job. See, I might even talk no trash. I ain't for the talk to trash.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Hey, a, dack, stay away from two. That's all I'm saying. CD spends a lot of time in the spot. He don't really go. So he'll probably deal with Pitt, probably stay on Pitt. And, but there's, look, when the Cowboy, When you can run the ball like the Cowboys, it's hard. Javonte Williams getting four, five, six, seven yards to carry.
Starting point is 01:06:27 So you got, I mean, you got to single up. You got no choice. Riley Moss, you're going to have the buck, hey, bro. Bro, I mean, at some point in time, Ocho, I'm not going to lie. At some point in time, you got to say, you know what, every time somebody need a big throw, they throw it at me. I'm talking about at some point in time, you say, enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:48 I'm like Reggie and Professor Clump with Reggie they kept with what you call him what's his name what was Professor Clunk with Clump
Starting point is 01:06:58 with Clump yeah Professor Clunk he was on with Reggie at the comedy club and Reggie said enough all them jokes yeah yes
Starting point is 01:07:11 Riley at some point in time you've got to say enough I mean you got to make them pay You got to make them pay They want to come at me
Starting point is 01:07:22 They got to make them play I remember Duran Bland Since we talk about the Cowboys And they chose Not to throw Trayvon Diggs way And they kept throwing over there The Blan
Starting point is 01:07:31 And he kept picking everything off Like a Bougar Got another Yeah You got another one today I mean let's you Hey Unk The Cowboys look good
Starting point is 01:07:41 They look They look very good They look so good They have They have looked good Offensively Their problem It's been defensively.
Starting point is 01:07:49 When other teams, when they're playing ahead, that's when the defense look good. Yes, because you neutralize the threat of the run. If their problem is, Ocho, is that when the defense is bad and the offense, Dach, you know, he turns it over, he gets a pick, or they fumble the ball. If you tell me that they're going to be able to play with a lead or are they going to be able to be nip and tuck,
Starting point is 01:08:19 you're going to have your hands full because they can run it with Javante and they got two guys that can go get it. And then that tight end, that trust him. Jake Ferguson. He ain't got no great speed, but he got great hands.
Starting point is 01:08:31 And the funny thing about it, too, when you see the Cowboys playing, chat, y'all stay with me. When you see the Cowboys playing the way they're playing today, they can compete with anybody. They can compete with anybody. I'm talking about the Packers. I'm talking about the Chiefs.
Starting point is 01:08:44 I'm talking about the Eagles. all those teams that are high scoring that can score 25, 30 points a game, the goddamn Cowboys can do that every single week, every week. Hey, one thing I, too, I want you to tell Cowboys fans some, I tweeted something earlier today is I was talking about George Pickens, right? Obviously, George Pickens there. He's on a one-year deal, and obviously, you know, they have to do something with that at the end of the season.
Starting point is 01:09:08 I mean, his price point is going to be too high. They're going to have to restructure. See, the dam has already got his money, and I'm telling people it would be good, for George Piggins to be able to go somewhere and get his money, which is well deserving, based on the seasons he's having, being that all the other receivers have gotten their money. And everybody's
Starting point is 01:09:26 about, oh, Ocho, shut up. Piggins ain't going to where he's going to stay here. Well, who's going to take a discount? Because... Well, here's the thing, Ocho. They got, look, they're going to have money under the cap for the simple fact. They're going to redo
Starting point is 01:09:39 Dax deal. Let's just say, DAC's cap number is going to be $704 million. He ain't playing on that number next year. So they'll probably do give back another, you know, say he has two years left on that deal. We'll add four years to it. We'll give him, you know what? We'll give him another $60 million. We'll give him $150 million, $200 million guarantee, whatever the case may be.
Starting point is 01:10:03 To get that cap number down, we get his cap number 30, now we can focus our attention on George Pickens. Hold on. Hold on. So if you're going to focus your attention on George Pickens, right? and the cap is round 30 what you're giving what you're giving a pickings a year I'll give him
Starting point is 01:10:21 somewhere between 32 and 35 okay okay we talk we're talking business I like what you're mind at I like I like with your mind for me for me honestly based on what he can do based on what he can do and what he showed you he can do
Starting point is 01:10:32 he showed it with the quarterback carousel with the Steelers he showed him to do in a consistent competent offense with a good quarterback in deck hey give me 35 we can talk because here's the thing he knows
Starting point is 01:10:47 he knows he has a quarterback and get him the ball he knows that they double if they double CD he's getting one-on-one coverage Dax's going to look for him Dax's going to give him every opportunity and he's making every last one
Starting point is 01:10:58 and he's making every last play now the only problem and the people and the people say with Shannon the Bengals were able to keep the difference between George Pickers and T. Higgins the Bengals
Starting point is 01:11:13 T had been there for three, four years. George Pickens is right now as a rental. Now, you can buy rental cards. You can go to Hertz and they had the Mustang that you can buy. You can buy a rental car from Avis. You can buy it. But this is the problem I don't like, on? You understand Jerry Jones.
Starting point is 01:11:32 You understand how Jerry Jones conduct business. He loves office. You understand how he's made all his stars wait, and he drug out the process. when it comes time to pay players. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm going. But if he did it, he has David Mugoletto.
Starting point is 01:11:49 You know David, David Moologetta. I keep mellow, but, hey, he said one, one negotiation doesn't, doesn't represent another negotiation. George Pink is going to want somewhere between 32 and 35 million. He don't give a damn. Who gives it to him? Say it again. Cowboy, he said he didn't give a damn what?
Starting point is 01:12:11 Who gives him? to him. I told y'all, y'all don't listen to me. Hey, he told him. Oh, Joe, it's just like anything. Oh, Joe. You might like chopping the whole foods. But if they don't got it, I go to trade the Jones. If they don't got it, I go to Smith. If they don't got it, I go to
Starting point is 01:12:25 around. Hold on. Hold on. The people try to tell me earlier, you know, earlier on Twitter, he ain't going to way. He's going to take less money. Huh? No. Do you all understand? This is his first video. Look, the thing is
Starting point is 01:12:39 that. Like I said, when you look at Dax's number, That's number is $74 million. He's not playing on a $74 million cap. They're going to get that down in probably next year's cap probably be somewhere around $20 million, $30 million. But give him a big sign of bonus. Probably $100 million to sign. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But George Pickens is going to want to eat.
Starting point is 01:12:58 Got to. You don't want to eat. Now, you got money because you didn't sign Michael. You got money. And you've taken care of, you're taking care of your guards. You've taken care of Duran Blan. You've taken care of people that you need to take care of. And pick as a guy, look, Jerry loves offense.
Starting point is 01:13:18 He loves the way Dak is playing. And when you see offense, be like, okay, this is when you had Michael Irving and you had Albert Harper. You double Michael, Albert Harper's going to make you pay on the backside. You got a Jay Novichick and Jake Ferguson, surehanded, reliable. Not the best blocker, but you know what? We didn't, we didn't brought you here for the block. We brought you here to catch, to catch, get us, keep us first down.
Starting point is 01:13:49 Keep us, keep the chains moving. And touchdowns. He had a touchdown in catching his four straight games. Javante had his second 100-yard rushing game, six rushing touchdowns on the season. He's healthy. I loved him coming out of North Carolina. And he had, he had a good, you know, early years with the Broncos, but he heard his meat. and then he came back
Starting point is 01:14:12 and he wasn't the same unless you age you and Peterson you know it normally takes you a year and a half for that need to get right now they got the guy that's a year and a half removed from that surgery and now this is what
Starting point is 01:14:26 when the Broncos selected him in the second round this is what they thought they're not a cowboy's got but the Cowboys look good now we got to talk about Jane Dangs he was 12 or 22 156 one touchdown he ended up tweaked his hamstring
Starting point is 01:14:38 we'll see you're going to get the MRI tomorrow, we'll see the extent of that. I don't know how far they can go. Without him? Without, without your team. Listen, Mariotta is, it showed he can play some good ball. He can string off, he can string off some wins, but he's too up and down, huh? You don't know which, you don't know which age you get.
Starting point is 01:14:59 Yeah. You don't know which age you're going to get. But obviously, he coming in and starting in a game where you haven't had many reps with the ones and being thrown in the fire, you have to kill. You have to catch yourself in the rhythm. You've got to get yourself going. Obviously, you're not acclimated to the speed of the game. You're not acclimated to the tempo in general.
Starting point is 01:15:19 You know the play. You know what's supposed to do. But your timing is going to be off a little bit. Your timing is going to be a little rusty. I think obviously if he's not able to go this week, if Jane Daniels is not able to go this week and he gets another week under his belt with the ones and getting that rhythm going with the ones and tempo going with the ones, I think he'll be fine and play much, much better next week.
Starting point is 01:15:44 But it's hard. It's hard to come off the bench and make sure the team doesn't miss a beat. And you come and just do your thing, especially when you're playing from behind. Yeah, yeah. They just pinning the ears back. That last four games, Ocho. He had 319 past yards, 3 touchdowns, 237 yards, 4 touchdowns, 261 yards, 3 touchdowns, 261 yards, Three touchdowns, 264 yards today, three touchdowns, zero interceptions.
Starting point is 01:16:14 He's got to be, who is the leading league in touchdown passes? Stafford? Because Stafford had less than 200, had five T's today. I think Jacksonville, you know, emptied their tank against Kansas City. Because they looked like some stirfire the last two games. But we're going to talk about it. Hey, because Duvard, because y'all talk about Ocho and I, we don't talk about the Jags enough. So we're going to jump on y'all last today.
