Nearly two decades after “Rapper Turned Singer,” he reflects on his legacy while breaking down his new single, “Club Husband.” T-Pain opens with the lyrics, how the club scene has changed, and what it was like sneaking into clubs at 14, starting as a DJ, and becoming a regular despite his parents hating it. He talks about selling weed to friends, getting in trouble with police after school, and eventually dropping out and being expelled with only eight days of 8th grade left. T-Pain explains why “stealing dudes’ girls” has always existed in clubs, sharing a wild story from London where he stole a girl, confronted a man named Tiny—three times bigger than Shannon—and ended up throwing money that led to a fight. He jokes that a man can even find a husband in the club as he and Shannon debate the best ways to meet women. T-Pain opens up about meeting his wife, proposing after three months, and still having the first video of them together. He breaks down “Club Husband,” “Buy You a Drink,” and the etiquette of buying women drinks as he and Shannon go back and forth about helping people. T-Pain reveals how he had to pay Lil Scrappy and Lil Jon for “Buy You a Drink”, and why he hates that “Club Husband” blew up on TikTok, and how someone stole an unreleased version from his stream and tried to profit from it. They discuss Drea Michelle, Draylen Green, the new generation discovering T-Pain, and the 20th anniversary of the rapper-singer era. T-Pain reflects on industry lessons—how “no one is your brother,” getting regifted client gifts, artists wanting him on features but not in videos. He explains why he sold his catalog, how HarbourView Equity Partners partnered with him, and how he reinvested: a 50-square building for his company, a plane, and simple black shirts for his wife. He admits mistakes from early fame, like buying a Bugatti and a chain before losing his house, investing in bad ideas, and being robbed by people around him—lessons that made him obsessive about his finances. He shares memories of inventing pre-sagged pants with his grandfather. Explaining why he creates all his music on Twitch, and why he embraced Auto-Tune like Roger Troutman before proving he could really sing through covers. T-Pain reveals dream collaborations like André 3000, why he’d never do the Super Bowl halftime show, and how he learned to stop craving recognition for songs he wrote. He talks about still doing T-Mixes, almost canceling The Masked Singer three days before filming, and performing blind every night because he couldn’t see in the costume. In the end, T-Pain says his proudest accomplishment isn’t awards or hits—it’s that his wife loves him, and his kids don’t hate him. Everything he does includes them, and that’s what matters most.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Stopping by for conversation
And A Drink today
is one of the most influential rappers
of all time. He's left an undeniable mark
on the music industry. His career
his career, proprietor,
proprietor. Proprietor?
Damn. Okay, proprietor.
It was like one of them.
His career spanned two decades.
His influence has transcended
generations. He's changed the course of hip hop
and R&B. He's won six
Grammys as an innovative
singer, pioneer songwriter, talented
vocalist, versatile artist,
chart-topping hitmaker, multi-platinum,
creator of Anthem. He's a celebrated performer,
prolific entertainer, visionary producer, musical mastermind,
avid gamer, popular streamer, international superstar,
and a global phenomenon. He's a CEO, he's a father, a husband, a brother,
son, hip-hop icon, and an R&B legend. Here he is, ladies and
gentlemen, the tally has said trailblazer and trendsetter,
Mr. T. Payne himself. Who says you that?
Is that you? Who said you? I don't know. Now here's the thing,
Now, usually it would be like a manager or something like that.
Don't send you that?
I haven't had a manager since 2018.
So I don't know who sent you on.
Did we do a good job?
You know what?
I'll take it.
Yeah, I'll take it.
Man, look, we got a toast your success.
Two decades since your original, your debut album.
Yes, sir.
Rapper turned singer.
Absolutely.
Bro.
My guy.
Ooh, that sounded so crazy.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Got a new single called club husband.
You said it the right the first time.
I got a new single.
A single?
That's how we do it down, so you got a new sangal.
Right, you said the right before.
I just want to know what thing.
Why the hell you got me sitting up on the zero-turned tractor?
Because we club husbands, baby.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, the thing is, the thing is, these women ladies out of head,
they don't know that they need somebody that's going to.
it's going to be able to sit up on this thing for hours.
Can we go to the club after we get out one of these?
I don't think we're going to get no playtime.
I was about to do this in the club.
They would have literally, hey look, let me take something.
We're in Vegas.
Yes.
We're in Vegas.
I told the people at Sapphire like, hey, I may be by here way early in the afternoon
and with lights and cameras and they were like,
whatever you want to do, man.
I didn't tell them who's coming through and tell them nothing.
But they said we could have got, we could have done this.
Should we just move this in the strip club?
What if that just
cuts to the strip club right now?
Lord, have mercy.
Damn, me.
Oh my God.
No.
Somebody going to stop us from filming?
Nah.
They would love the club.
What if this cuts to the strip club right now?
No, we could, we.
I got them on the line right now.
I know I got them on the line right now.
Yeah, but see, me sitting up here, this brought back
memories.
Now, we didn't have no zero turn.
They had my turn.
They didn't have no zero turn.
No, no, no, no.
You had push mores.
But I will say this, when Sears did they shit,
Sears had that zero turn.
You got to sometimes, you got it, that zero turn, baby.
Let's talk about the lyric from Club Husband.
You said, tell that piece of ish, excuse you call a boyfriend,
that he ain't got a word about coming back home.
Exactly.
Because you didn't find what you've been looking for all along.
That's how they set it off in the club now?
now oh they're selling dreams in the cold come on man let me tell you something you didn't
did enough push-ups in your life you didn't figure out you figure out exactly how much talk it
take right to come out with uh to wrinkly to come out with wrinkly fingers in the club
yeah no you didn't you didn't came out the club of wrinkling fingers
every now and then it's it's i'm not trying to do nothing
that we ain't already been doing.
I'm just saying, you know, maybe you need somebody more responsible.
Let me ask you this.
From the time that you started going to the club to here we are fast forward 20 years later,
how much have the club actually changed?
Oh, it changed a lot.
Now, you've got to keep in mind, I started going to the club when I was 14 years old.
Okay.
Now, the club I was going to was called Perry's Lounge.
Okay.
Now, I started going to Perry's Lounge when I was 14 years old.
Now, this is a 35 and up club.
What the hell are you doing in there?
Well, one, I was DJing.
I was a DJ.
They didn't have any more.
They didn't have any other DJs.
So I started DJing in there.
Okay.
And then I just got to start just kind of easing into it like, hey, y'all go just like
somebody else DJing there.
I'm going to go into the regular spot.
And then I started getting on the dance floor.
And then, yeah, one of my first performances was in Paris Lounge.
And again, it was a 35 and up club.
I was 15 years old.
And that's just that, yeah, it wasn't, I wasn't supposed to be in there.
Right.
But also it was Tallahassee, so.
How did you, how did you clear that with your parents?
Parents, I don't know what them niggins is that.
Come on, come on, pay.
I don't know what them niggas is that.
Keep in mind, my mom worked in the daytime.
As soon as she got off, my dad had to go to work.
Yeah.
So they flip-flop.
Both of them was living their life when the other one wasn't at work.
So they're like passing trains in the night?
Yeah.
So, you know, when I went to the club, it wasn't, they didn't care.
I think they knew what I was doing, but it wasn't nothing they can do to where they
were they were like, oh, I'm going to get off of work and go fix it.
Like, you can't do nothing.
Well, they could tell your ass up and you wouldn't go.
They didn't know.
You know what I'm saying?
So I can be like, you know, it was never on time.
So when I get back from the club, they're like,
did you go to that club?
And I can say no.
And there was nothing they can prove about it.
But you smelled a like cigarette and cognate?
It was all black and mouse.
It's all black and mouse.
My dad found one of my caprisons,
the little straw,
the rabbit to the straws.
He found one of those in the hallway in front of my door.
And he was like, what is this?
You've been smoking them black in my eyes?
I was like, dad.
That's a capricon thing.
He was like,
Don't let me find out you smoking black a mouse.
I'm like, I think you already know we're all smoker.
But when they found that you was making money.
I don't think they cared.
Really?
I don't think they cared that I was making money.
God damn it.
Yeah.
I don't think they cared that I was making money.
I think they cared more of how I was making money.
Okay.
Because even before I was making money with music, I was selling wheat.
So it was, it was like, and I was selling the shake from the actual drug dealers.
So when the drug dealers, when the wheat dealers got done with what they were selling,
I would just buy whatever was left in the bottom of the bag.
And then all my friends was like, oh, this is real wheat.
No, it's just the worst part of the wheat that you ever wanted to have.
So yeah, it wasn't, um,
It wasn't that they wasn't paying attention.
I think it was more so of,
it was more so that they,
I wasn't dead.
So, you know what I mean?
You weren't getting in trouble.
The police wasn't around.
You weren't, you know, what about school?
How was school?
Oh, school was the worst.
So the, damn, you didn't do your homework and you was out?
So with school, with, so, okay, so with the law,
we had like a little dip.
There was always like this little,
Puck up, puck up. You know what I mean?
Yeah, a little speed bump. A little puck up, puck up. But it wasn't a speed bump. But we knew that
Puck up, puck up, right at that point before our house, that was the end of the county sheriff's
jurisdiction. Okay. So even if we got in trouble, every time my brother got in trouble,
he dragged the police in the car, like the police and hanging on the window, blah, blah, and we know
did we get past that puck up yeah you were good you can't do nothing every time bro we didn't
had so many police in in front of our house and my daddy came out every time like it's past our
jurisdiction buddy what are you all doing you can't do nothing we they can't do nothing every time
i'm literally my brother to drag the police in the in the car um i didn't i didn't drag the police at
all kind of places i didn't shot in the air i didn't did all kind of stuff
That's against the law.
But as long as we know, we hit that puck up, puck up.
They can't do nothing to us.
So I know as far as the law goes, my dad would come out and say,
this is pass out jurisdiction.
As far as school goes, I made it all the way to the last eight days of eighth grade.
And then after that, I dropped out of school.
Your mom and dad didn't say anything about that.
Well, they had a part of it.
So the last eight days of eighth grade.
Okay.
They, they, the school implemented a dress code.
And they said that we all, all the men boys had to tuck their shirts in.
Okay.
That's not too extreme.
It's not too extreme unless you're fat.
because now
all the girls you like
can see exactly the same
yeah yeah okay
you know what I'm like
come on coach I can't
come on pain
they got to be more
there's got to be more reason
than a dress cold
the coach said if you don't
tuck your shirt in
we got to fail you
right
and what if you failed
during the last exams
you got
what you're going to do
coach please
please i got this one girl i like if she'd find out how fat i am i can't do my coach please
please coach it's tuck your shirt in man i i can't do it i can't do it i love i love you so
much coach for 25 years i've explored what it means to heal not just for myself but alongside
others i'm mike delarocha this is sacred lessons a space for reflection growth and collective
healing. What do you tell men that are hurting right now? Everything's going to be okay on the other
side, you know, just push through it. And you know, ironically, the root of the word spirit is breath.
Wow. Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts that we can do as peoples just breathe.
Next to the wound is their gifts. You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound. That's the hard thing.
You think, well, I'm going to get my guess. I don't want to go through all that. You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing.
listening to other people's near-death experiences, and it's all they say.
In conclusion, love is the answer.
Listen to Sacred Lessons as part of the My Cultura Podcast Network,
available on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
If one of us wins, we all win.
I'm Ashley Reifeld, and I'm the host of the women's skateboarding podcast.
Good luck with that.
Good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast that is part cultural record, part news brief,
mostly group therapy, and a place to talk about the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding.
This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vaskinellos, and Alex White, we have Fabiana Delfino on the show,
a professional skateboarder from Florida, whose crit was forged in a family of athletes.
Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys' club, what it takes to be pro, and why just being grateful you're here shouldn't be the price of entry.
Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago, because that's when they maybe started paying attention.
It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the years, stacking clips and receipts,
and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up.
You break down the door, sick now, like, hold the door for everyone.
We created good luck with that because we want to share our experience of existing in an industry
that wasn't always built for everyone.
So listen to good luck with that on iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice.
This side.
Touchdown!
Ramondri Stevens is my sleeper this week.
This is a matchout where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position
and he could deliver double-digit points this week.
Drake takes the snap, hands it off.
Ramonari running it right and running into the end zone.
Touchdown.

So they wanted the dress code implemented.
Tuck your shirt in.
You didn't want to do that.
Okay, when you dropped out of school.
I just, like, straight up couldn't do it.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
Because, like, come on, coach.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, because, one, it was the coach that was doing it the most.
And it was like, oh, you know, when the basketball player,
The basketball player tucked their jerseys in.
Like, yeah, but they look darky as too, my nigga.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, yeah, but tuck your shirt in.
So I tuck my shirt in.
I can see my stomach and shit was rolled over and shit.
I look like I don't know, man.
I look like I work in the front office.
I look like I work in the front office.
But what happened to the young lady that you like when you dropped out?
She probably wasn't as interested as she would have been had you stayed at school, Pam.
Oh, yeah.
She got on drugs.
She coked out crazy.
She coked out crazy.
I wish it would have been a valiant effort.
But the thing is, I was trying to just,
it wasn't even just her.
It was just my self-esteem.
Right.
So I took my shirt in.
And I was like, nah, I'm not fucking with this.
I pulled my shirt out.
The dean came through.
Mr. Nigel, take your shirt in.
I'm not going to do it.
Hold on. You told the principal no?
Yeah, in the hallway, I'm, I can't do it. I'm so sorry.
Mr. Nizam, tuck your shirt in. I'm going to tell you one more time. You got one more time.
I'm so sorry. I really wish I could tuck my shirt in.
I can't do it. Mr. Nijam, tuck your shirt in. This is the last warning.
That's the last warning then. Come on, whatever's going to happen, just do it to me.
Bam, expelled. The last eight days of eight.
eighth grade, which means I had to repeat the eighth grade.
I had to repeat that my grades were good enough to go to high school.
But in order for me to pass to high school, I would have had to take the last exams
in eighth grade.
And since you got expelled, you couldn't take it.
And since I got expelled because of my shirt, I would have had to repeat the eighth grade.
And my dad was like, oh, they don't care about grades.
They care about their image.
You're not going to school anymore.
So my dad was like, you know what?
I'm a homeschool year.
And I got you.
And then my dad abruptly forgot that he said.
And he let me stay home for another year.
So you stayed at home with no schooling?
Yeah, he had no idea.
I mean, I'm sure he had an idea, but he was like, oh, shit, I forgot I got to go to work.
Hey, what's up, y'all?
It's your favorite uncle, proud partner of Rose Sparks.
Have you ever had one of those nights?
Maybe you're watching a movie.
You're laughing.
She snuggles in closer on the couch.
And boom, it's on.

You've got to be ready to perform like it's the big game.
You hear me?
And that's what Roe Sparks come in.
These bad boys dissolve right under your tongue.
No water, no worries.
And here's the kicker.
That dual action formula stays active for up to 36 hours.

So fellas, stay confident, stay ready,
and let them sparks fly when the moment is right.
having been in the
club since you was 14
yeah
had
dude stealing women's
girl has that always been
prevalent
or has it become more
prevalent now or was it more
prevalent back then
I think it's always
been prevalent
it's always been a thing
I've been a big thief
of other n-
I think I've always been
a big
just thief
I think I've only
gotten girls because of
had them already.
It was just,
it just showed me
that they was willing
to be with some kind
at least of the dirty kind.
I was a dirty shit back then.
But so it was...
I'm just trying to,
well, help me understand this.
Hot pain.
You see the lady walk in
with a guy.
They're probably holding hands
or she's walking right behind him
or she's walking right beside him.
What goes through your mind and say,
yeah,
yeah, I want her.
If my nails are remotely cleaner than this.
far at that birthday we all turn we're from tallahassee bro this is what this is what it
it's a part of it if i got any remotely better quality than this if i smoke one less cigarette
than this night i can probably get his i'm not you know but pain tallahassee small
there's the change you're going to bump into the man oh no we're going to bump into all each other
and the crazy thing is like just have it back by five
Have you ever taken someone's lady and then later see that dude,
see you and her, see him at another location?
I didn't take somebody's girl, gave her back to the guy,
and then later on found out that that was the night
that their child was conceived.
And it's like, I matrixly dodged a bullet.
Like literally, what the hell going on in this?
And had a baby?
What the f***?
We sure that ain't mine.
Absolutely.
We already took the paternity test.
God.
Yeah.
Damn pain.
I'm telling you.
Oh, it's been amazing.
Oh, that was, I mean, that was just, that was just a, that was just a test of fate.
What is, what is it about taking something someone else already has as opposed to getting your own?
I don't think.
I don't think it's a thing.
I think that's just, like, I think it's just, I think.
kind of the only option we had it wasn't like a it wasn't like a thing that we were trying to do you
were trying to do it you said you was actively seeking that out i think that's just the only
option we had i wasn't actively seeking it out is it always what if he if he found her you could
find your one no well you let him do all the hard work right it's the seeking it's the hiding the hide
and seek the the the whole thing is the seeking that's the heart right you know what I'm saying
you want to get past the seek.
Right.
You know, so, you know,
and man,
if she come out during the 20 count,
oh, my goodness,
my,
man.
You know what else you want us to do?
You know what I'm saying?
You want it,
you want 20 to not say anything.
Yeah, we go all,
hey,
hey, look, so, you know,
I know you,
I know you, I know you and,
I knew you and dog was doing a,
you know what um yeah no i don't oh okay okay but are you asking for trouble if you bring your lady
you're not asking for trouble no absolutely not okay not asking for trouble with any of that
because not only is a fair game but if she does that she wanted to go all them and to quote
a great poet of our time yo chose me um thank you

But I'm married now, and those days are behind me.

Damn.

Well, tell the story of you were in London
and you tried to take somebody's girl.
Well, here's the thing.
When I was in London...
For 25 years, I've explored what it means to heal
not just for myself, but alongside others.
I'm Mike Delo Rocha.
This is Sacred Lessons,
a space for reflection,
growth, and collective healing.
What do you tell men that are hurting right now?
Everything's going to be okay on the other side,
you know, just push through it.
And, you know, ironically,
the root of the word spirit is breath.
Wow.
Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts
that we can do as peoples just breathe.
Next to the wound is their gifts.
You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound.
That's the hard thing.
You think, well, I'm going to get my gifts.
I don't want to go through all that.
You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing.
Listening to other people's near-death experiences,
and that's all they say.
In conclusion, love is the answer.

If one of us wins, we all win,
I'm Ashley Reifeld, and I'm the host of the women's skateboarding podcast.
Good luck with that.
Good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast that is part cultural record, part news brief, mostly group therapy,
and a place to talk about the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding.
This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vasconcelos, and Alex White, we have Fabiana delfino on the show,
a professional skateboarder from Florida, whose crit was forged in a family of athletes.
Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys club, what it takes to be pro,
and why just being grateful you're here
shouldn't be the price of entry.
Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago
because that's when they maybe started paying attention.
It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the years,
stacking clips and receipts,
and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up.
You break down the door, sick now, like, hold the door for everyone.
We created good luck with that
because we want to share our experience
of existing in an industry that wasn't always built for everyone.
So listen to good luck with that on iHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hey, what's up everybody? Daniel Jeremiah here. And I'm Bucky Brooks. If you love breaking

Bucke Brooks and I dive deep into the game from the X's and O's to the front office moves

on Sunday. It is as good a timing rhythm offense as there is in the league right now.
Then Rhett Lewis joins us for our rookie draft and coordinator of the week.
where we highlight the rising stars
and the masterminds calling the shots.
DJ talked me into Arronday Gadsden Jr.
He had a monster game.
A monster game.
And you hear from the voices
who actually build the game.
GMs, coaches, and players
who give you insight you won't get anywhere else.
High standards and high care.
That's the right combination.

It's right there in the name.

We break down every matchup, give you our analysis and advice so you know who to start, sit, drop, and trade to bring that championship trophy home.
I just want to remind everyone how good Rishi Rice.
was last season.
And there's three healthy games.
He was the wide receiver two in fantasy.
I think Rishi Reich just goes off this week.
The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice.
This side, touchdown!
Remandre Stevens is my sleeper this week.
This is a match-out where I think I can slide in Stevenson
into my flex position and he could deliver double-digit points this week.
Drake takes the snap, hands it off.
Remodry running it right and running into the end zone.
Touchdown!
It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around.

Then I didn't try to take somebody else.
But this was another case of, yo,
chose me.
Now, I was in London, and we was just bawling out as much as possible.
Obviously, we're going to bawl the fucking out.
You know, we, uh, this is my first time seeing a magnum gray goose bottle.
Big one.
You did that, but it's bigger than that?
It's the size of one of these motherfuckers.
It's like, it's this.
But it's that, what you did is that to the floor, though.
Damn.
It takes two people to pour them, like, you know what I'm saying?
So, we did that.
And then obviously, if you get one of those,
the people around you know what that costs.
They know what that cost.
Yeah.
They know what that cost.
So, yeah.
So chick came over and she, you know,
she was showing interest
I'm not going to stop her
I'm you know
I'm also married at this point
so I'm just like hey come have a drink
it's going to take
six to get you a drink but please come
have a drink right you know what I'm saying
and she came and got a drink
somebody outside of that section
was not happy that she wanted
a drink and he came over
and he did one of your classic moves
And he said, he said, hey, man, what the fuck he won't?
Like, we ain't did nothing to you, nigga.
He didn't like that she was there.
She didn't like that.
He was there.
What the?
Well, I guess we got into like, from what I gathered in the moment, we got into a,
we got into a quarrel to where she wasn't with him.
him anymore.
Oh, he was with her.
He was with, he, she wasn't with him, but he was with her.
He was with her.
He was definitely with her.
And the worst thing that she could have done as a girl from the UK was been with a
American boy.
Yeah.
You don't do that.
You don't do that.
You know how that work.
They didn't like that.
So, you know, I offered her a drink.
So the worst thing that she's,
can do was get her drink poured by all these american boys yeah now i got the i got the neck of the
bottle i got two of my home boys on the back we point her a drink boom she's having a good time
she got she she's driving the boat and i yeah the u k boys is like now we're we're doing we
yeah we don't want to do that um and man it transpired from that dude came up he he he he you know not
to size you down, but he's like, he's like three of you.
Damn.
No, this thing was big.
This thing was big.
You should have to say, well, excuse me, ma'am, I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave.
No, no, this nigga's big.
I mean, but he was that big, but they called him tiny.
I find out, like, when somebody is big, somebody is big enough to be called tiny,
you don't, don't fuck with them people.
But in my mind, I'm drunk enough to be like, we should fuck with these people.
So he come over and he says,
Yo, what's going on?
And I'm like, what?
He says, yeah, war!
And I said, burr.
So he didn't like that, apparently, but.
You threw money in the man face.
This was after he said,
yo, you're messing with my goal.
And I'm like, your girl,
mess with me.
Yo, she don't want to be with you.
I say, you sure?
Fah!
Through money right in the big, stupid-ass rolling money.
Ba!
Oh, it was so, it was so well-managed
that it was, it was like a sausage roll at first,
but when it hit him in his face, it exploded.
Everywhere.
Everywhere.
Oh, my God, it was so great.
And then in that explosion of money,
I didn't see he had a glass in his hand.
and then he came right across my homeboy's face with the glass.
BOW! Oh, God.
Blood, spit guts and ass all over the place.
I didn't know what the fuck is.
Damn.
Yeah, I ran.
You started this and you dipped?
I got the hell on, man.
He ain't supposed to stay around for the, what the hell?
Stay around for the action.
He got the fuck on.
So, yeah, I didn't know what the fuck was going on.
So I got the hell out of there.
I wanted to
like back up and like assess the situation
bro
do you know what it's like to have
like 60
of like the size of you
coming out of a club
and just like pushing each other
but it's like
y'all remember that that scene
in the matrix where like all the
all the agents was coming out
yeah they keep coming
it was that but the size of you
and it was pushing each other around
they're just like get me out this motherfucker and it's just like
nah
I'm either going to die right here or I got to just start punching in the air.
I just started punching in the air.
I hit like two.
We got our asses beat that night.
But let me tell you something.
We put up a great fight.
It wasn't enough of y'all, though.
No, we only had one, two, three, four.
We had five with us.
And it was us against all of everybody that was in that club.
Because everybody else was from UK.
They were all from UK.
But they were all.
I think it had to be like a,
it had to be like a, like a bodybuilding night or something like it.
You know what I'm saying?
There's no way that there wasn't like a bodybuilding night.
So I don't know what the fuck was going on in that bitch, but we lost.
We lost the fight.
Young Jock was there.
Yeah.
Young Jock was there.
He didn't help.
I don't know.
I was, I was off on the side and I was just, I hit two and I was like, I think we won.
That's it.
We won.
And then I saw Young Jock security just, you know what, because I was fighting, I was
doing, I think I was fighting the good fight, and then I saw Young Jock security, punch somebody.
That person fell down on a car, just like they had a back down, like their ass was on the
ground and they fell back on a car.
And then Young Jock, security, his name is Neil, by the way.
Neil, I'm calling you out right now.
Damn, you're dressing, you.
This nigger, no, this is.
Knee this in the face.
He held on to the top of the car and just, yeah, and just, like, need his face.
And the back of his head went into the car and I was like, okay, we got to stop.
Yeah.
I think that's it, bro.
I think that's it.
We did all the stuff we can do, I think.
We can't keep going.
There's no way that anybody has any fight left in him.
and Neil was just like
Who else? Who else? I'm like
Neil stop you did I think we won't
I think you want I didn't win
I hit two
One two went into my
One into my goddamn
My knuckle and I was like
This shit hurt I don't feel like doing that
I'm good
I don't want to do any of this shit you doing anymore
We good bro, let it go
Neil's like no
This shit
I'm gonna beat all these ass I'm like well I'm gonna be
on the other streets I think yeah and let me do how that work out for you yeah Neil was
yeah I think this was part of Neil's like just regular workout uh regiment it wasn't like a
bro if you would have you had oh man this shit like a partner like the boys have y'all seen
you know what I mean have you all seen that shit like the boys like the bro it is this man's head
was just in the grill of the car it was just it wasn't even on the grill of the car it was on the
inside of the door, Neil punches man, he was standing up,
bow, Neil punched him out, he fell down, bam,
and he slid down, and then Neil just,
Fah!
His knee went into his face, the back of this man head
went so far into the side of that cab.
I was just like, that dude's dead, I think.
He got, it's gotta be.
That dude died right then.
I still don't know the status of that one guy,
But that was the, that was, for me, I was like, I think, I think we, okay, we did too much, bro.
We got to stop.
Okay, we over here with these people shit.
You might not can go back over.
Yeah, I mean, they haven't invited me since then.
That problem to why.
In club husband, you said, I'm talking about wedding rings and everything.
Do you believe a man can find a wife in the club?
100%.
Now, why don't you think that?
I, that.

Had more questions than you got on that.
Because I mean, I ain't really, I've never been a club guy, so.
Yeah, you have.
Now, let me, let me ask you a question.
Yeah.
I'm saying, I'm setting, I'm setting the thing for you.
Yeah.
You walk into a place.
Let me say, hey, Shannon, we're going, we're going to set it out for you, right?
you walk into the spot
you hear a bunch of music and you're like oh god
here go another club
you walk into the spot
it's wood floors yeah
oh shit okay all right
wood floors you step up to another
wood floor all right there you go okay wait a minute
now okay now
you step into a room
that look like it's about to be a club
yeah but guess what it is it's a humidore
now
you're like okay
I can get, I'm feeling this, I'm feeling this.
There's some cigars in there now, some cigars in there now.
It's also one chick in there, also smoking the same cigars that you want to smoke.
You ain't going to start that conversation.
What's the, what's the first part of that conversation?
Well, I mean, to be honest with your pain, I don't smoke cigars and I don't know if I've ever seen a woman that smoked cigars.
Oh, man, that's a thing I like it.
Man, I ain't no, I ain't no, pain, I ain't no club guy.
If a, walk in here with a wood tip ready to go, you about, you crumbling.
You crumbling.
But pain, I ain't, I, that's not, that's not my job.
Normally, I'm gonna, I'm gonna be, is it the gym or, or, or the supermarket?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Oh my God.
You wanna, you wanna, you wanna, you want to, you want to business, tit as hard as yours?
You got.
I mean, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you,
I mean, you want somebody that work out, you know, you work out, they work out.
You have a lot of common.
I think you want the opposite.
I think you want a BBW.
I think you like BBWs, and I think that you would be like, you know what, this is, this is nice.
Because let me tell you something, it's about to be cold.
And I want that, one that extra little, that little cushion.
I mean, I'm, I mean.
All that extra, hey, let me tell you something.
Congratulations.
This ain't where it's at anymore.
Congratulations on what you did.
But when you're, when you're cuddling up, it ain't about the, it ain't about to cut.
It's about the gut.
You know, good?
I'm telling you, man.
I'm just, I'm just saying, Shannon, you want, I think you want the opposite, man.
I think, you know, you want, you want, you want a little BBW.
You know what I'm saying?
A little short, little something.
How told you?
Six to you.
Six two.
Oh.
Man, you get a little 5-4 joint.
It's over.
It's a rap.
It's a little 5-4 BBW.
Some little, little short and stout head-ass.
You know what I'm saying?
You get a little 5-4.
Here's my handle.
Here's my ass.
A little teapot.
You start and stop.
Come on.
You get a little, here's my handle.
Here's my teapot.
It's, bro.
It's over.
You met your wife.
How long did it take?
you to propose uh for three months i beg you pardon i beg it yeah uh three months so you
basically you knew let me tell you something when you see somebody that's as pretty as my wire
yeah you lock that down you lock her down look if i could have got pregnant you you wanted to
get trapped if i got to get i'm about to lock this bitch i'm about to yeah
If I could have got pregnant, that's how, hey, man.
So let me ask you questions.
You meet, so where did you guys meet?
Well, we met in Tallahassee.
So I was producing.
I thought you said you couldn't find nobody in Tallahassee.
She didn't come from Tallahassee.
Oh.
Ah ha ha ha ha.
Yeah.
So I was producing her sister.
Okay.
I was producing her sister and we had just finished her sister's album.
And her sister was like, hey, come listen to my album, blah, blah, blah.
Now hit hit a gang.
The gangster part.
Yeah, yeah.
This part I've been waiting for.
He goes to the gangster part.
We listen to her sister's album.
They leave out the house.
First of all, my house is in shambles.
My whole entire studio is running off of a generator because my power's off because we didn't pay the bills.
Okay?
All right.
So now, not only she's looking past that, she's looking past how awful my room smells.
I haven't been taking showers.
showers, any of that, she walks out the room with all of her friends and her sisters.
After listening to her sister's album, she says, hey, don't nobody talk to him.
That's my husband.
I'm going to marry him.
That was you saying?
I didn't say, I didn't do shit.
I didn't do nothing.
Damn.
Imagine me dropped out of school.
And then she walked out of the house and said, all right, nobody talked to him.
That's the weird thing now.
I didn't say nothing to her in the place.
She just, she, she, she, she saw what was happening.
Now, that's, that's when, uh, you know, when people talk about like twin flames.
Yes, yes.
You been married before.
Yeah.
And shit like that, like she said that she felt like there was something that was already there.
And when she saw me, she was like, there was something she, like, needed to address that.
And she told everybody when she got back in the car.
Mm-hmm.
Hey, don't talk to him.
That's my husband.
Boom, boom.
But it just so happened that it was her sister's birthday.
And the girl that she was in the group with that I was producing, it was her birthday as well.
Now, they were like, hey, we're, we just finished the album.
We're going to go to our house or our apartment and we're going to have a little party.
So all the girls got in the car.
They went to the party and all my guys, me.
and them got in the car.
So when she got in the car, she was like, hey,
don't nobody talk to him.
That's my husband.
That's, this is what it is, right?
And everybody was like, okay, we good.
I got in the car.
I was like, hey, we're about to fuck all these.
I was like, for some reason, all these people want to come with as an number.
We about to fuck all of them.
Yeah.
Okay?
We got the, so the crazy thing is I kept a,
I kept the camcorder on me at all time.
Yes.
I always had it on me.
So I have the first night that we met on camera.
That had to be the 90s because the camcorder was big in the 90s.
And it's J-I to JVC.
This is early 2000.
It was early 2000.
But you got to think, like even on that same tape,
I had like when Field Mob got signed, like when they got their chains.
Yeah.
I had like when I first did my first hook on that same.
on that same tape
and then, like, right at the end
of the tape, that was the first night that we
fucked on the, it was
just like, damn! We had a lot going
on in that one tape. It was a high eight.
So it was like 80 minutes. We had a lot
of, had a lot of space. Hopefully you don't
burn that too. You don't want
nobody, you don't want that falling in the wrong hand to. We don't know where it is.
I hope my kids don't find it.
They're going, they're going to catch hell at the end of that, bitch.
They're going.
So let me get this straight.
Because then club husband, you say you ain't got a
got to pay for drinks no more
but you also had a hit song say
buy you a drink. So what damn?
That's what I'm saying. You ain't got to pay
for drinks no more. Oh, she ain't got, you
gonna buy them. So you ain't got
to pay for drinks no
more. That's your
job. You're coming in. Because I'm gonna buy you
a drink. I brought it back. I bought it back
Santa. Can I tell you something paying?
Real talk.
I've never.
I'm not hearing this shit. I don't want to hear
Listen, don't finish that thing because I know what you're about to say.
I've never bought to.
I've never.
And I refuse to believe it.
I swear to God.
Unless she was with me.
Like we go to a restaurant and I'm buying a drink.
But like go to it.
You ain't never been at the bar.
Never.
Never.
I've never.
Hey, been at a restaurant and I'm by myself with my boys or I'm by myself.
Send that girl.
Send her drink.
Do you know billionaires exist?
Yes.
You know.
You know some of them.
I do.
You know some of them.
We have friends that are billionaires.
Yeah.
Now, we can't just, like, hey, while I'm at the bar, everybody drinks is free.
You ain't never done that.
No.
Hell no.
Hell to the no.
Shack is going to kill you.
Okay.
No.
I ain't never had.
Okay, you ain't never been at a foot locker and like, hey, buy the little kids from shoes.
No.
See, let me tell you, the most I've done, the most I've done.
You're a dick, bro.
You're, oh, my God.
The best I've done, Pay.
What about this?
What about this?
Bro, I don't bought shoes just because I was buying shoes and I felt bad.
What about this?
What about this, pain?
Somebody, a little short on the grocery money, and I'm in line and I'm getting impatient.
Don't worry about it.
A little 40-50.
That's still serving you because you weren't patient.
But they're serving you because you weren't patient.
Just.
But I felt bad.
Now, there has been, there has been, a few people that just been like, they'll get behind, like, old ladies, and then when they're signed a pay, they're like, bam, here's the card.
Bam, bow.
On the, you know, on the, you know, tap, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I do that, but you, you sound like, you just want to leave.
Like, what?
Most of the time I just do self-checkout.
You know, and then, because you were a big, a big, a big.
black so it's going to take more time because now they've got to check everything you got
yeah you got you got to and now you got to show this little white lady all you lube
and you got to show this little white lady no you got to show this little white lady you buy
condoms you can't just walk out of there with that stuff you got to why don't you just
buy somebody else's shit and just say I'm buying some real embarrassing shit no maybe maybe we can
we should walk out of here at the same time no but but I've been but
I think the thing is like if you, but I think I feel that if I send somebody a drink,
they think something else comes along with that.
So I've just never done it.
That's literally what it's for.
Oh, no.
What did you not?
How in the, how?
Okay, first of all, why are you in the club?
Mainly because my boys, I would go, I mean, when it was in Denver, I would go,
I would go with them once every two, three months.
None of y'all want to ask at all.
I don't know what, I'm just saying me, because I'm going home.
It's a safe ass
It's a safe ass
If you don't want to ask in the club, man
You got to stay out of that
I ain't been in a minute
That's all that's it's
You ain't been in the club in a minute
You know what?
I haven't either
I haven't either
And that makes sense
Something has happened
To the club
Okay
To where it's like
It's not beneficial
To actually be there anymore
See?
Now I will say this
the younger generation, they do not want to, they do not want to drink anymore.
Right.
They don't want to smoke anymore.
Well, mostly because they've been seeing documentaries about people getting drugged and
shit and getting taken.
Like, don't put out the Jeffrey Dahmer shit and think that people are going to just be drinking on it.
Like, don't do that.
That's never going to be a thing.
That's just stupid as hell.
But, you know, I know.
But when you go to the club, you can say, you can.
can't hide though. No. You can't
hide. You can't hide. You're 7 feet tall.
