I am talking to a felon right now with face tattoos, and I cannot decide if I like him or not.
That was a caller from my podcast, Therapy Gecko, where I speak with anonymous callers about their
problems, relationships, and anything else in the depths of their mind. It all happens on my show,
Therapy Gecko. So if you're trying to get out of your own head and into someone else's,
this is the podcast for you. Listen to Therapy Gecko on the IHeart Radio,

We were dancing to this summer's anthem by Young and Maya, right?
Is that a name?
Miami.
Where are my scamming?
Everybody was like this to that.
There we go.
There he go.
We was asking for it, right?
And there it is.
And now we want to criticize and ridicule him.
We were, we were, this is the song of the summer, is it not?
Here he is, ladies and gentlemen.
Tadda!
This is the taking over the game.
Welcome to Truth After Dark.
Do you think that men or women are more toxic?
Hello, beautiful people.
Welcome to another episode of.
of The Truth After Dark.
I'm your host, Cesar Faraday.
Paul Pierce, as your attention.
You are crazy.
Okay, so there's a lot that's been going on in the media.
I'm excited to talk about the first thing
that's been going viral everywhere
is about the man.
His name is Dejean Love,
and he pretended to be a player
for the San Francisco 49ers.
And he basically coned 26.
women into giving him $1.3 million total.
He has been arrested by the federal authorities, which we believe he was arrested for
wire fraud.
And what he would do is he would basically come up with these different scenarios to women.
So first, he would sell them the lifestyle of like, I play for the 49ers and I'm this
and I'm that.
And basically he's selling them this lifestyle that he lives.
So for them, they feel secure to give somebody money.
because they feel like, oh, he got money.
So, like, I can give him money.
He's going to give it back to me type of thing.
So basically, how many women was it?
26 women fell for the Okie Doke, which is blowing my mind
because I wish somebody would.
But the question is, is do you blame him
or do you blame the girls that believe him
without doing the research?
All right.
This is what I want to say.
we were dancing to this summer's anthem by Young and Maya, right?
Is that a name?
Miami.
Where are my scamming?
Everybody was like, this to that.
There we go.
There he go.
We was asking for it, right?
And there he is.
And now we want to criticize and ridicule him.
we were we were
this is the song of the summer is it not
here he is ladies and gentlemen
ta-da
now everybody is bashing them
I mean I'm not
promoting scamming no one
that's wrong in every way
but when we glorify it
in our songs that we make
the top summer anthem
and then we see it and then now he's getting
bashed I'm like well it's a double-ed
sword. So, you know, I don't, you know, I mean, illegal shit is illegal shit. You should go to jail.
You shouldn't be fraud and all that shit. Cross the line, bro. You should have more game, my boy.
You should have just asked for the money straight up and instead of trying to come up with business ventures and all this other shit and trying to say it was for this and that, just saying, hey, can I get this?
If you ought to just keep it simple and was really on your pimping, you wouldn't have got arrested for it.
But, you know, you did it illegal and you got what you deserve, my boy.
Yeah, what you're saying
I also think that
when it comes to the music thing
I feel like
you know a lot of people
sing songs that they don't necessarily stand on
You know
You was you had a video
You was in a car
Yeah okay
We are
Yeah but this is the thing
It's like I also dance to
Like you know
Bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks
And I don't believe that
Like I dance to a people dance to a lot of stuff
There's married.
There's people who look at a drug dealer music and go to their nine to five job.
They don't want.
They ain't selling drugs.
I'm not young.
M.
A song got rhythm.
It got pop.
Yeah.
When they come on,
I'm even spinning that.
Yeah.
I'm,
I'm not bad.
I'm not bad at it.
And never in my life have I been a scammer or dealt with a scammer.
But at the end of the day, it's a good song.
It is.
And it's a vibe.
And when we live in this generation where music right now is just not that great,
you listen to,
the same songs on repeat,
are you going back and you hear a good vibe?
You know, my problem is with my music
is like,
I'm really not listening to the words
because that song is just,
I hear it,
but I'm like,
it's got a good rhythm to it.
But the words is like,
whoa,
where about scamming ass niggas and all that?
You're like, damn.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, people get in their car in the morning
and they put on some real drug dealing music
and they drive it to be a doctor
from 9 to 5.
Like, people, it ain't,
it just feel good.
You ever see that movie.
You ever see that movie, Office Space?
Man, I'm talking about the first scene in the car.
Oh, you got to put that on the clip, no.
He got to be rolling, though.
But that's really how to be.
Like, you listen to stuff.
And a lot of the time, you listen to stuff that has nothing to do with your lifestyle.
I listen to, I listen to Drake and this part talk about going to private jets in here.
And I don't do none of that shit.
But it hits.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
So, whatever.
Like, I don't like that narrative.
in which...
My bad.
It's the middle of the fantasy football draft.
This is crazy.
My football drive is on right now.
I got a drive.
We're doing your job.
So basically, some other news that came out recently,
which it always, to me,
it always sucks when you see like a relationship
that was public end, you know?
But Soraya and Joey badass,
they've been together for about four years,
and they do share a son together.
They broke up,
and it was a little bit of drama.
Number one, I just want to say,
we have to stop glorifying these online relationships
and these celebrity relationships
because everyone was always glorifying him
because he always speaks like a certain way
and like their relationship looks so great
and we loved it and we're so obsessed with it.
But we realize like it's really none of these relationships
are what you think they are.
So you got to stop like comparing your relationship to that.
Well, what people do is they take what they see.
and say that's what I want.
You know, they don't see the other side of it.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
You know what I'm saying?
But like, for you to be a,
have an imagination of what you want yours to be like,
you're like, I want it like this because this is what I see.
And we fail to see the other side of these relationships.
But what we see in front of us,
we intake and be like, man, if it can be like this.
And it's funny, though, because there's a picture of like her and Joey Badass,
and he's like, looks like he's checking her.
And she's like, and now everyone's like, I look at this picture differently now.
Because at first they were like, oh, yeah, I love when a man.
Now they're like, oh, shit.
Like, it's always just perception.
And I feel like at the end of the day, you have to, you know, figure out your own shit.
But what happened was she's accusing him of repeatedly cheating throughout their relationship.
And she put out a full announcement on Instagram.
And she also posted and deleted a video going off about it.
And she shared it.
actual audio of him venting to another woman about their relationship and letting that woman talk bad about her, basically, which is one thing I don't go for. Do not let nobody talk bad about me in your face. That is where I draw the motherfucking line. And he was just like talking about her and this and that. And he was not doing it in her face. It doesn't matter.
No, no, no. Loyalty matters what you're doing behind my back. I get it. But you said don't do that in your face.
I'm not what I'm saying?
Don't do, I don't know that I said in your face.
But if I did, I'm correcting myself.
Well, he didn't do it.
He just got caught.
Don't do it.
Period.
Yeah, don't do it.
Period.
That's the best thing.
Loyalty matters behind your back.
Like, I've been, like, for me, I don't play that.
Like, if you're going to talk about me or you're going to talk about someone I'm in a relationship with, I'm going to check you every single time.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I've been in a relationship where, like, their men's, like, baby mama will give me like a fucked up nickname and call me that to him.
And he won't even check.
And I think that that is fucked up.
I don't deal with shit like that.
Like, don't talk slick about me because I will fuck you up.
So anyways.
Who?
The other girl?
Yeah, like if you're with a man and his ex.
Girl, you're too grown a section to fuck somebody.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm not, I'm not, but I would.
I'm never, no, I'm never too grown.
If it comes down to it, I will fight.
But I haven't fought in a long time.
You are at the age to where no hands need to be thrown or Zah.
If it comes down to it, I will fight.
We don't need you to turn into Zara.
To baddies.
We don't need you to turn that to the Zeus network.
Listen, one thing about me is I will get down if I have to, but I don't.
Stay on Netflix.
We don't need you on 2B and Zeus and all that.
Stay on Netflix.
Even though I haven't fought since I was a kid, but if it comes down to it and you try me,
okay.
We get the message.
Anyways, so anyways.
Because like think about if a girl just accident, like you put the hands on her.
Be-b-b-b-bake, make.
But then she ducked her head and said, bink.
Now you got a black.
guy for the next week. Yeah, the thing is, is I'm not going to...
But you won the fight. No, the reason I'm not going to fight is because I have too much to
lose. People will take you to jail for that these days. I'm not about to go to jail off of that.
You all got to threaten nobody, girl. Do what Charleston white dude. Tell him you'll just shoot
them or something. I don't know. I'm not threatening anybody. Listen, I don't even care if people
talk about people talking about me every day, but don't distract me to my face because I'll check you.
I will. Um, so... That might lead to more, though. So you got to handle a different.
You gotta handle it, how I handle it.
That's just me.
Listen to this.
And this is a growth part of life.
Like, if somebody disrespects you in your face, right, you got to handle it?
That's like me in high school.
That's like me in college.
Like, if somebody disrespects me and I'll get disrespected in my face, the growth part
of that is walking away.
Well, maybe that's why you're 50 and I'm 35 because I'm still checking somebody in their face.
Well, what does that do?
If you check them, it makes me feel great.
I feel amazing.
Like, if they say something else, you know what I'm saying?
I feel amazing.
I'm going to continue to check somebody if they disrespect me.
Yeah, and guess what?
Well, that's the part of growth.
You have to next level.
No, but I'm going to keep it real.
I'm 35, and I haven't been in a fight since I was literally in high school.
So, yeah, I'm good.
And I'm going to continue to move.
No, because I hope that you get past that one day.
I don't.
Because if you get into a situation.
to where it escalates and something bad happens to you,
which I wouldn't want to happen.
Like, you got to be mature about the situation.
I'm very mature.
Like, what is it that they can say that crosses the line?
There's nothing nobody can say to me that crosses the line.
There's nothing nobody can listen to me what I'm saying.
That's 100% true.
I've seen you.
There's nothing nobody can say to where I'm going to want to kill somebody or do damage to somebody.
Well, no one saying kill.
All right.
so, but there is something somebody can do.
Like, if my kids get involved in this now,
where somebody touch, hand, bump, anything with my kids,
it's an issue now.
Now, the stakes is raised.
But, like, outside of that.
You've, you've, you've, I've seen you, I've seen things.
So you could say what you want to say right now,
but I've seen stuff and I'm not going to blast it on this show.
But the point is, is at the end of the day,
let's get back to the topic.
there are a lot of people online that are saying Soraya is in the wrong for making this public
and aren't talking about the fact that he's been cheating.
Do you feel like she's wrong for bringing it to social media and some woman should just get a past event?
Or do you think that a woman should keep that shit to herself?
I would say me personally, I don't believe in bringing my business to the public.
Period point blank.
Because that is a private situation.
and what me and you do within the parameters of our relationship is between me and you.
Once someone brings anything to the internet about me, I'm never dealing with you again.
I don't care.
I'm never fucking with you again.
Because that internet is messy and you want attention.
Well, really, you should be talking to a therapist, not a bunch of online people who do not know you.
Period point blank.
I get if people have to make a public statement to say that we're not together anymore or whatever the case is, then okay, I get that portion of it.
but that's as far as it's going for me
and what I think that women should do, period.
What is your opinion on it?
Well, I just think, like,
bringing it to the internet
is never a good thing.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Because it just, it opens up the wedge.
It opens up the sore.
Yeah.
Even more.
For sure.
Because, like, think about it.
Like, what if there was an opportunity
for you guys to maybe rekindle?
Yeah.
But like when you go public like that, it's just like the wound gets bigger.
Like the, it's just, it emasculates to this bigger thing to where you can't recover from it as a man.
Because like, say we deal with this privately and, you know, they say through time all heals wound.
But when you open up the wound so big through public embarrassment, that time is going to pass with me moving.
moving on, where it could have been a situation.
And it's not up to the man.
And I know that the woman is hurtful, and this is a way for a woman to vent,
and we live in that type of day in society.
And it feels good to let it out.
And if you have no intentions of getting back with that person, I get it.
Because, but like, the emotions at first are, are, it just,
emotions are wrong.
So you just, you don't know what to think,
now so you just say,
oh, la, la, not, internet, internet.
Until you really sit back and think about it
and say, all right, he was wrong,
we're breaking up.
But how many relationships have broken up,
they dealt with it, and then over time,
people get back together.
Well, I think women do that too
as a way to hold themselves accountable
to be like, I'm putting this out here,
which means I'm not going to get back together
with this person because it would be too embarrassing for me.
So let me hold myself accountable by doing it.
I don't think it's right,
But there's great examples of women who've done that.
And got back together and it looks stupid as hell.
It doesn't look stupid.
It doesn't look stupid.
Yeah, it does.
Yes, it does.
Because why, yes, because why are you blasting him
and saying he messed with all these many women,
blasted him on the internet, did all that just to get back with him?
You look not right in the head.
Because the emotions were wrong.
Right.
So you look like you don't know how to handle your emotions.
As a man, as a woman, we get emotional sometimes.
And we react.
Like men react and do things they don't mean.
Women react and do things they don't mean at first.
So the initial reaction from the woman was to do that.
And maybe they didn't mean it.
You know what I'm saying?
Because sometimes like men, we do, no, like seriously, though,
this is like some growth.
This is growth now.
It's like we react and we shouldn't.
And there's a lot of cases that I know of personally to where that happened.
And now they won.
You know what I'm saying?
But we react a certain way.
Like men, like, we do stupid shit.
Yeah.
Like, we get into it.
We get mad.
And then next to you know, we going off on you, throwing stuff, flipping over the table.
But we'll react.
Like, there's a lot of shit.
Breaking glass, that it reacts.
Then you looked up the house.
It's all fucked up.
And you look back like, damn, I shouldn't have dead that shit.
That was too much.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, when men put hands on a woman, you reacted, bro.
You should have never done that.
What's your fucking problem?
And then you regret it.
it. And then you go crying back like a baby. Now you want to rekindle. You know what I'm saying?
Like people are reactive and we shouldn't do that. But then there's cases to where we react and it goes
too far. You rekindle. And it does sometimes work out. And so I'm not like, I'm not going,
I don't know, no, that's not the answer to me, the reaction. But I just feel like we need to
control our emotions as we get older, just like, hey, take a step back before we just react
to so many different things. And, you know, it's just, it is what it is in that situation.
And reacting in internet and public play is not the answer for me. And hopefully just they can,
they can rebound. Because like, you know, that was an example. People fell in love with it on the
internet, right? Well, they didn't have much information about them. And if the man was
disrespecting you and cheating you on multiple times, I hope that you don't rebond with that man.
And I hope that you find a better one because you deserve that.
Period.
Like, I don't hope that for her.
I hope that you can move on and stop feeling traumatized and hurt by repeated cheating.
It's not, it's like women, we got to do better.
I get it.
But sometimes we don't know the other side.
Her side came out.
Has his side come out?
No.
Because a lot of times the men won't put their side out.
Yeah, but they, you know what I know.
I know situations where the woman blasts the man, but then the man said,
hey, she did all of this,
but that man don't bring his out.
So, like, there's two sides to every story.
So we can't just be mad at the man's all the time.
You know, yeah, he fucked up.
And that's the start of the story that went public.
But maybe he has a side of the story that he don't want public
and he's keeping it, he's keeping it G and it's cool.
And he'll take it on the chin.
That's cool.
Yeah, well, it was enough for me the way that you was vented to another woman on the phone.
That's corny.
That's weird and that's burnt out.
Don't tell my business to another woman.
And don't be venting about me.
Yeah, but women tell their business to other women.
and men.
Yeah.
All that, like, when it's good.
I don't know who, I mean, I can't speak on that.
But I do know that at the end of the day, don't be venting.
You can speak on that.
I don't tell business to not to other men.
No, no, no, no.
You can't speak on it, though, because you've heard it as a woman.
You know what I'm saying?
You've heard women vent to you.
No, women vent to me.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm not saying you.
But I'm, it's different to vent with a romantic interest.
I'm talking about something different.
You're venting in a romantic way.
with somebody to pool a woman is a different story.
I'm not talking about venting to your friends or your brother
or someone you care about because you need advice.
I'm talking about venting to somebody
and letting them talk shit about the person that you're in a relationship with
and y'all keying about it and going to kick it.
I don't do that.
No, that's not good.
That's not good and nothing about that is cute.
Nothing about that is cute.
Like that's corny, it's disrespectful, and it's weird.
And also, we live in the times to where you should know better, my boy.
you should know better knowing that you're in the public eye.
And she's recording you.
And now she sent it out and now it's out.
Men are stupid.
These women are catching men up every day now.
And they still do stupid shit.
It's so ridiculous.
It's like men think with their dick.
They don't even think with their head.
Like you think with the wrong head.
Be smart.
Women are going to blast your shit as soon as they can.
So stop doing that and stop embarrassing people.
It's ridiculous.
So him doing that alone showed a lot of people like,
nah, that ain't cool.
So we don't know his side of the story,
but we heard what we heard, and it was just too much.
It was too much.
It's a lot. You're right.
I don't want to, like, push judgment.
Hopefully they handle their issues out.
Yeah, they have a son.
They were engaged.
It was a serious relationship,
and I know to break an engagement is a very, very difficult thing.
I have been there, and I know how heart-wrenching that is,
how hurtful that is, and that shit broke me and hurt me in a way.
so I do feel for both of them.
I know that that's not easy.
So I really, you know,
some prayers to both of them
and I hope that they can figure it out,
especially as co-parents.
Sure, sure.
There's a question here.
I hope y'all work that shit out, man.
You know what I'm saying?
It ain't nothing like just a joint family
that can bond and grow with their family
and everything, like truthfully.
Like, it's always ups and downs.
It's heartache and a man should never be cheating like that.
Like, and that hurts a woman.
It hurts a woman.
Like, because you create a bond,
you create loyalty and honesty with somebody
and to break that bond
because of your sexual desires
and everything,
it's not worth it when you look back at it
at the end of the day.
You know, I made that mistake.
You know, and I have regretted that.
You know, I broke up something that was built
from the ground up.
You know, you down there build a pyramid
and then to see one day you do something so little
and it's not little to them.
You think it's little, though,
because you small-minded,
as a man. And you build this up over years and then you break it down with one simple
mistake. So, you know, man out there, I hope y'all just, we just got to do better. Like,
if this is, if this is the route you want to go and you want to be with a woman and you want to be
married or you want to have a family, man, that's a bond that can't be broken. You just got to
stick with it. That's strong. And you say, you look, you got to look, man. You got to make the choice
to say, hey, this is what I want to do, the rest of my life.
life. Many great men have made many bad mistakes because they went outside of that bond.
But these other great men who became greater stuck with their bond. So, you know, I just think
we need to do better. And if this is not what you want to do, don't do it. If you don't want to
ever get married, if you don't never want to have a family and all that, don't just don't do it.
It's plenty of examples of that. And, you know, just live your life. You know, because then you
you live the rest of your life with regrets, and you don't want that.

As a man, answer me this.
Is it impossible for a man to be 100% faithful throughout a long-term relationship?
or should women just start expecting to be cheated on?
It's absolutely possible for a man to be 100%.
I have never seen that a day in my life.
Ever.
Except my father because my mom claims he never cheated.
My mom is crazy.
So yeah, I have, well, I have seen it
because my dad claims that he's never cheated on my mom.
I don't know.
This is crazy to me.
I've never seen that in my life by my mom and dad.
No, I think.
Please stop emphasizing that.
Let me fix what I said.
let me fix what I said.
I've never experienced it.
I have seen it with my dad.
Me personally, I've never had the experience
that a man didn't do something
that was on the line of cheating.
I've never had that experience.
And it does make you feel like,
is there a man who won't cheat on you?
Like, is there?
And I know a lot of other people and women resonate with this.
It's like, damn, is it always?
I remember one time I have found out this man
I was with, I was super in love with him, and he was just like everything to me, and I had him on this
pedestal. And I saw something that shook me and it fucked me up. And I remember my best friend
told me, she was like, don't forget that it always hurts the hardest the first time. And I'm like,
that's sad that we even have to feel this way and do this. Like, why are we living like that?
And it's because that first time you see something that is like not what you thought this person was.
it's like they were right here to you
and it like brings them all the way down
and you be like, damn,
I looked at this man like a king like protector, like all of this
and then you see some shit and you're like,
oh, you're not even who I thought you were.
Like I don't think men realize that that's how women look at it.
Like, oh, you're not even, I don't even know you.
Like you start to feel like who even are you?
Like, this is that a shit you do?
Like, who are you?
Because you really be happening your man on a pedestal,
You'd be like, girl, no, I really don't think he's cheating on me.
He's faithful.
I be knowing where he's at.
I be da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
And then you'd be seeing shit and you be hearing and shit.
And you'd be like, wow, that blows me.
And it changed and it dismantles everything that you thought about this person.
The loyalty, the trust, the love, it just shakes you to your core.
And it makes you view the relationship completely different.
You go from like, this is my husband, this is everything.
This is who I want to be with.
I'm going to do all that I can to like, wow.
I don't even know anymore.
Like, I'm confused.
Does this person really love me?
Does this person really fuck with me?
What does this person do with my back?
And then you start feeling like that.
And as a woman, when you start feeling like that,
you move different now and you feel differently.
And a lot of men, they say that they're going to rebuild that trust with you
and they don't.
They get frustrated and they get mad.
And then they start to flip it on you and they get angry and shit like that.
And they're not really doing the way.
work to build that shit back. And that's how the relationship ends up ending. Because what happens
is a man does some dirty things. A woman is her. So she now expects you because you said you were.
Oh, I'm going to show up. I'm going to, baby, I'm going to show you. And she expects you to show her,
but then you don't. And then you're annoyed. And then you're frustrated because you're like,
oh my God, this bitch wants me to do this and do this and do this. Well, you wonder why? Because
you broke her damn heart. And now you're irritated. And then then,
what ends up happening is a man, he gets irritated,
then the woman is sad,
then the relationship starts to deteriorate at that point.
And they both start to be like, ah,
and then the distance creates,
and then the man probably cheated more
because he's like, fuck it, I already am.
She already don't trust me, so I'm going to go do this.
And the woman is just feeling like mentally checked out
because she's like, damn, do you not even trying to show me
that you really love me.
And a woman is easy.
A woman is easy.
All you got to do with a woman is be like,
baby, I love you, I'm in this, I'm here for you.
Like, make it about her for a little bit.
Damn.
Like, man don't even get that.
We make the blueprint for men.
It's all over the internet.
Men can't act like they don't know what to do because you do.
We're in the world of internets where everyone knows what to do,
but they choose not to do it.
And you know what else piss me off?
When a man is about to lose you,
he ends up doing everything that you wanted him to do the whole relationship.
So, nigger, you knew what to do.
You just didn't show up for me in that way
until you thought you were really going to lose me.
And that is fucked up to me too.
Like, that pisses me off more than anything
because it's like, you know what to do then.
How can we showing up everywhere
I needed you to show up now,
but you couldn't show up then.
It takes for you to have to lose me.
I should not, as women, we should not have to suffer for love.
Why do we have to suffer to be loved?
You want to put us through every fucking thing
and then finally, six years later,
decide to change and be a better man.
Why do we have to suffer for love?
Why?
We should be loved right the first time.
Not the second time, the third time, the fourth time.
Not after being shattered and depleted.
And now your confidence is low because a man is checking for other women.
And you're like, what is wrong with me?
Why aren't you checking for me?
Why don't you want me there?
Why don't you want to be around me?
You know how much that fucks you up as a woman?
When you work so hard to be beautiful and to look good for your man
and to do all these things and you are still seeking out
other women. Do you know how much that breaks a woman's heart? No, men don't even get it. So it's
fucked up and I really hope that there are men out there that are still faithful and that know
how to be faithful and that can really show up for women. And if you did cheat or if you did
hurt a woman's heart, do the work, do the actual work to show her that sheet. You love her.
Do the fucking work or leave. You made a lot of very much. No, you did. I mean, I
sat here and
listen.
You said,
why do women
suffer for love?
Which is like,
I just feel like
I think love suffers
in general
because without
suffer, I don't think
there is no love.
I don't think
you can find out
what really love
is about without suffering.
Jesus died
for the love of people.
That's the ultimate
suffering.
He said,
I'm a lose.
my life for my people.
That's like,
and that's love.
Like, we have to understand
the word love
goes with pain.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
And so if you have no
no pain,
how do you know what love is?
You can say it.
Yeah, but there's different type of pains.
Well, yeah.
It doesn't have to be a pain
where you're directly hurting me.
It's pain.
in life.
I just think, you know, like, you see, you know when I see the most love, you know where I see
the most love.
The most love I ever see at one time is at a funeral.
People are crying and like people giving their speeches during the time when somebody else
suffered.
Yeah.
Isn't that crazy?
Yeah.
You see the most love, you see people you ain't seen in years come together through suffering
to come together.
Why we can't just come together while we still here?
Why we can't just come together?
Like, like, it's just the way that our DNA is where we, we, we, our love is through pain,
through tears.
And it's, it's like, it's through hurt.
Like, I played this game of basketball my whole life,
and I suffered a lot of pain.
I, like, cry.
I broke bones.
I love the game so much.
I was willing to keep going through broken fingers, broken toes,
through spraying knees, through, like, you're the suffering.
You've got to go through the suffering to get what you want.
Like, if you ask any old couple right now, like, and I'm like,
I'm excluding your mom and dad.
but a lot of the older couples that I know
that's been together like 20, 30 years,
you ask them like, man, how did y'all last?
Did y'all go through anything?
Man, when I tell you
some of the shit that I'd heard them go through,
that they still together,
it kills off way more than what we have breakups over today.
But the foundation was there.
So when you build that foundation,
and I think that's the most important thing in relationship, the foundation.
Because, like, if you can't break that foundation,
like, you could go through some shit and,
and I'm not saying men going to intentionally cheat
or a woman going to intentionally cheat,
but when you build that strong foundation,
that's hard to break.
Yeah, but people are not building that foundation.
People are cheating before there's a chance to be.
Before there's even a chance to start really building a core foundation,
you're cheating.
They still are mixing the concrete.
They steal the concrete.
They still went concrete.
You don't even give it a year and you cheat in.
It's like, damn, give it some time.
Give it a few years.
I get it.
Let me tell something.
If I've been with a man for five, six years and he cheated, all right.
We didn't build this.
But if we're only together for a year, you already doing that?
What's you doing in two years when it gets boring?
What's you doing in three years?
When you already been hitting this for three years and now you want, like, it's just,
it's like you can't do that quickly because that quickly shows we don't got no foundation.
because you're already doing bullshit
when we haven't even been together long enough
to where bullshit occurs
because shit is going to occur.
Even if you ask my mom and dad,
they've been through hell of shit.
They don't even fuck with each other for real.
So yes, at the end of the day,
you're going to go through a lot
in a relationship.
But there's one thing to go through a lot
that life throws at you.
There's another thing to create problems.
We are not supposed to be creating suffering
for each other.
Life is going to do that for you.
Life is going to create suffering.
Trust me.
There's going to be scenarios
and circumstances that come up
that really fuck one of y'all up
and that's where we show up for each other.
But to be the one creating the suffering
for one another is a different story.
Period. Point blank.
Period point blank. Things are going to happen.
Things are going to happen throughout a relationship.
I don't think I could, I don't expect myself
to be with somebody for the rest of my life
and they never cheat on me one time
when we've been together for 30 years. I don't even
think that's possible if I'm being completely
honest. But there got to be a line that's
drawn because we got to build this foundation.
first. We got to be together for a few years.
We got to show each other. We can trust each other.
And we got to show each other that we can communicate
and not shut down and not
have conversation and not flip it and not be dramatic.
Like we got to and that's how
foundations are built. Getting to know
each other, understanding each other's communication styles
and doing things that sometimes you don't
want to do. Like there's
things in a relationship where you be like,
I don't like to do that. But my girl likes that
so I'm a, I'm going to do it.
And vice versa with a woman. Oh, I don't really like
to do that, but I'm going to do that for my
man because I know it makes him feel so good.
And that trumps what I like or don't like.
So these are the things that you do to build a foundation at the end of the day.
But people just don't want to fucking do that shit anymore.
And I get it because they feel like it's endless options in the world.
Oh, I could just go here.
I could just go get this person.
I can go over here.
Yeah, I.
I am talking to a felon right now with face tattoos.
And I cannot decide if I like him or not.
