But we also, what's up? We got some other news. Mike McCarthy says the Steelers are at a impasse with cornerback, Joy Porter, Jr. We have what he said. Listen, first with the good. This is a challenge, you know, for,

for both Joey and us because, you know, we're, we're first year staff. You know, we've seen a play. I've competed against Joey. I would love the opportunity to coach Joey Porter. I know our defensive guys would love the opportunity. So, you know, we're at an impasse right here, and that's, and you've got to respect that. You know, every one of us has a contract, the organization, you know, they have, they have beliefs and so forth. So, but, yeah, that's just kind of where we are.

Joe, so. What's up, D, Bo? This is where... Impasse, he says. Right, right, right. This is where it's, you know, it's a business and all the family and the loyalty stuff that go out the window. You know, that doesn't matter. You know what I'm saying?

And when I look back at it and I think about when Mike McCarthy came in, it was only two current players that was at their press conference, active. that who were that there was other retired guys but the active guys one was Joy Porter Jr. And the other one was Alex Heisman.

Okay. And now hey, it's strictly business and you know that's what they feel is going to, you know, best benefit them

or however that, you know, that may be. Because if it was me, you know, I'm running the business. I'm, I'm the stillers.

Mm-hmm. That's what I feel like is going to be best for me. Then yeah, that's what I'm going to do. But at the same time, he, nephew, your partner, junior, needs to do what's best for him and what's going to best benefit him and his family. And now, as you said, we're at an impasse. And when you say the word impasse, that to me sounds like attempts have been made to get something done. And, you know, it's all been, yeah, negotiations going on.

And, you know, it's people out here that are talking about my nephew, talking about he want too much money. He want to be the highest paid. When? When did he say that? When did his representative say that? Where are they on record at saying anything like that? And I said this before.

I couldn't find anything out there that was facts. It's all rumors. Yeah. But then you got an insiders. that finally goes and gets good information, Joe. Solid info. And they had this right here to say, Joe, listen to this first clip, Joe. Okay.

Let me see what we got. I want the clip. What are we looking to go for, Debo? It should be two clips. One is 53, the other is a minute. Okay. I'll give you a second. Now, what we're looking at, or what we're going to hear,

is basically something from it's in Rep Report and it is another gentleman. I can't remember the name. But two legitimate sources. But it's two legitimate sources. And you feel like the information.

Okay. So I guess we can't show Ian's. Okay. But what we can say is that Give me the tweet. Where is the tweet? Here it go, D.

That is not it. Take it down. Anyway. Ah. Let me know, Devo. Said that it was a in, well, it was no negotiation made. It was no offer made. It was nothing that was sent, given, put on the table for jury Porter.

And the word impasse would tell me that they negotiated something. Yeah. And the fact is the distillers haven't even made an offer to nephew, which now makes sense why he hasn't been available for any media questions or anything, because that would look terrible if he said that. Yeah. And I don't know for the life of me, why you wouldn't just offer the man something. Joe, why wouldn't you offer him something?

Like, how do you feel about this? I'm, it doesn't make any sense to me. The basically, if, if the news that we're getting, Debo is concrete where Joey Porter Jr., his, this is what I'm saying, for me and you, I haven't heard Joey Porter Jr. saying he's trying to be the highest paid. And now I haven't heard the nephew got any offer to start negotiating. So if the Steelers think that maybe they don't want to send the offer because if, might be too low and it may be too disrespectful, but you're thinking that Joey Porter's representation

wants him to be the newest set the market highest paid. You have to start somewhere. If you think Joey Porter is going to be around $20 million a year, send him something to where now we're at least talking. If there's no... Here's the problem, man. Here's the problem. You look at a rapper words tweet.

He says it's pretty clear when Joey Porter gets a new contract, he's going to be the highest paid corner NFL. He didn't say Joy Porter wants to be the highest paid corner NFL. He didn't say that he needs. Nothing came from Joey Porter. This is all speculations from people who are saying he should be. He's going to be. If the Steelers, he goes on to say, the Steelers, if they aren't willing to make him the highest paid corner available, probably why they haven't offered him.

That's the reason they haven't offered him. Yo, that don't even make sense to me. That makes absolutely no sense to me. He's a big name. he's been, and there's been rumors. There have been, I would say, trade chatter in the NFL surrounding Joy Porter, teams wondering if he's available. They also said they weren't going to trade Joy Report.

But if you're telling me that I didn't offer him anything because I don't think that it's going to be an offer, dude, when I would negotiate it with the Steelers, the first offer was so disrespectful. I didn't want to negotiate with him, but that's how they work. The fact is, they offered me something. Okay? Yes. If you see, go ahead.

This is what I'm saying, Debo. When we're talking about Joey Porter, Jr., maybe I don't care what people think, how he's been performing. Say he's been a starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers now for this is going to be going on his fourth season. His rookie season, he bawled out his second season. wasn't all, we say he was a little bit more to hold him penalty, but last year when he's going to, because that's his second year was when they started having him follow receivers. Last season, he's bawled out also.

When we look at his production, he's had three picks. He's leading him past breakups. He doesn't give any, he hasn't given up a touchdown. He didn't give up a touchdown last season. When you look at Trent McDuffie, Trent McDuffie played in four years so far. Trent McDuffie only has three career picks. Same thing as Lil Peasy. he has three career picks.

Ross Gardner has three career picks. All of these dudes are making $33 million a year. So when we talk about taking away the ball and all that stuff, I'm like, these two aren't doing crazy, creating careers he turnovers either. Trimodefrey has three career picks he's played in the league for four years. His first two seasons, he has zero picks. Paul's Gardner is making $30 million a year. And I'm like, I'm not too, like when you talk about Gonzalez,

when you talk about Patrick Sertan, when we talk about Stingley, I think those dudes have it all. Ball skills, feet can play on and off. So when they come and reset the market, I can just see like those are ones. But when you got guys like Devin Witherspoon, who's the same class as young Peasy, he has two picks in his career, not knocking him at all. And he just signed for $33 million a year. And for another team looking at Joey Porter Jr., maybe not the Steelers.

If they're saying, oh, no, we're not going to put him the highest. other teams looking at Joey Porter Jr. And see, he's only made $8 million so far. This season he'll be making four. They know he's the top flight corner. He's the top like one. He might not be one. He might not be five.

But he could in that top 10. And these dudes are getting two with two career picks like Devin Wilson. They know his potential. He's going to continue to ball. As a starting quarterback, you can have him following number one receivers. If he continues to play like that, then the market's not going nothing but up. These new corners, when Pastor Tans, when he's, When Paso Tane get paid again, he's going to get around $40 million a year.

That's what he's going to be asking for because he has nine picks. He's been making all these all pros. So when you talk about Joey Porter's not making pro bowls and all that, it's like, okay, we get it. But when you look at the stats and his numbers, not allowing touchdowns, following the number one receivers, he has three career picks. Looking at the other dudes that are getting paid, he's up. So when we're saying, you got to, if it's not good for the Steelers, it's going to be good for somebody else. When we look at Nick Herbick, Nick Herbick is a. a baller and everybody understands it, but

he got time for $25 million a year, a hundred million dollar contract. And nobody's really saying nothing bad about it because it's cool. We know what Nick Herbert's going to bring, but that's $25 million a year, 100 mil. When we gave my man the defensive tackle, what's my man's name? They just signed for 18 years.

I know you're talking about, oh, why can I get his name right now? I'm talking about the de-tackle, Bitton. Benton, yeah, that's it. We just gave Binton 18 a year, he hasn't been like, like, not knocking him, but that's $18 million a year. And how he hasn't made any pro bowls? He hasn't done any all pros, but we know we got potential and we think we picked right. So for the stills to be like, no, I'll let Joey Porter go.

I'm like, no, no, no, understand. We have a great talent here and we can start. Let's get into negotiations and figure it out. He may not, he may not. Joey Porter's smart too. When I was getting in my negotiations, you understand where you have Richard Sherman was going through the St. Mitchell Sherman, Patrick Peterson, and myself. I was looking like, okay, you see these dudes with, if spoon goes and gets 33, I'm not mad. I, like, if you like

where you're at, you're in a great situation, I can go do something like 29, 30, like, for a deal. I'm not trying to reset the market. I know what I bring to the table, and I'm not trying to smack everybody, but at the same time, let's both, let's play the game. It does have to be resetting, but you know what, look at these dudes, what they're doing, where I'm at, y'all, where y'all drafted me. You're talking all the stuff, Joe, that would be talked about if there was ever an offer made. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. If I am of value to this team, I would think that you would offer something. And the fact that you haven't even offered anything lets me know, or at least would make me assume

how you feel about me and what value I am to this team because I know the players believe he has value Jalen Ramsey believes he has value Jaylen Ramsey said this right here play the clip We're not there yet

they need to pay Joey some other guys in the secondary not out there yet so can't answer that question correctly for you you brought Joey up what's it been like you know if you've been in his corner for this whole process and just what's it been like you know

from a veteran standpoint to a young player's standpoint as he does through what he's going through. I'm overly in Joey's corner. Joey needs to get compensated for being a valuable part of this secondary and a valuable part of this defense and team. Come on now. You got Patrick McQueen who also said, hey, I got my money. So, you know what? On my end, at the end of the day, he was like,

until I at least have an offer on a table. That tells me then that, hey, maybe you do want me here. That's good faith. Show me something. I think, like, especially, dude, with everybody hollering, like,

he wants to be the highest paid of the position. But, dude, that's not what he said. It has never been said out of his mouth. All this is rumors. speculations, X going crazy. Everybody, like, come on. It was never said from him.

Now, don't get me wrong. Hey, and I would say this about anybody. I think anybody would want to be, you know, maybe the highest paid player at their position, okay? But that don't happen. That don't always happen, okay? You know what? And it actually, how do I say this without saying this?

All things got a hit when you're trying to get the highest paid. And you kind of got to understand that too. And ain't even the highest paid. I just want to, I want to say something without saying it. So I like, here it is. Here it is. Come on. I'll say this.

I'm not saying I know the number. Or an area that nephew would like to be in. I know the Steelers damn so don't know because they ain't talking. But I'm also not saying that I know it either. Okay. And for you uneducated people that say, joy need to say something. Sorry. Don't work that way.

I understand the concept of saying, a closed mouth don't get fed. Yeah. But if it ain't nothing on the table to eat, why the hell would I open my mouth? Put some food on the table so we can see at least if he wants to eat. Otherwise, you're false flagging

and you might as well start looking to see who wants to trade for me because it's no way that I see this. I see nephew touching the field. There's no way I see that. happening. It's 31 other businesses out there because now this is a business situation. 1,000% it is. And I'm sure they would love to do business with nephew. Debo, you are not lying. You know it. It's a business. And that's why sometimes, sometimes when you got

somebody, it looks, it looks, something, sometimes you could take for granted what you got in your own house. It looks good. And other teams, they're looking at Joey Porter Jr. like, okay, hey, I see what you got here. We would happily pay this man to come in here and be our starting corner. This is what we need on our team to put us over the edge. So teams will happily, they think overpaid. No, they would pay Joey Porter, Jr. And make him the highest paid corner.

And we will see what it is. So like when you're saying it, Joey Porter, Jr., it is a business. So for the Steelers, when you're saying, show him something on the plate. Let's start talking. Give me a negotiation. Let me see what y'all. If y'all don't think I'm worth the highest paid, cool. what do you think it is?

Show me something. Give me an offer. It was four years. How long, what is the average? What are y'all thinking? Show me how you think I fit into y'all's plan. Show me something. That's crazy.

You don't show me nothing that tells me I'm nothing. It shows me because you obviously was at the end of the day when you see people. And Joey Porter Jr. He hasn't done anything wrong off the field. He's doing everything completely right. He's trying to get better. Every day is coming in there. Lunch pale.

But when you see guys, in your same class getting broke off, getting paid. It's like this, damn, am I not here? So you got to do, you got to do what you got to do. You got to take care of yours. And when you say it starts to turn into a business,

this is when you really see the business aspect. It's all ha-ha, Kiki, it's all love when he's on that four-year, $9 million contract. And now it's about that time. This is the last year to deal. Okay. Now, like, we talked about how much we love each other. show me something so then we can at least

go into negotiation. Listen, man, that love is conditional. We all know that. That love is conditional when you talk about a team. The only love that you really have is between your players. Why? Because everybody wants to see everybody get paid. Everybody wants to see everybody.

And your teammates, and your teammates too. With Jalen, Jalen's not, Jalen's not lying. Jalen knows what it is. He's been through contract negotiations. He had to do to, he had to get out of Jacksonville. He had to go to the Rams. He's been traded to the Steelers.

So he knows the business. aspect of it to where you better be performing and then you're going to get compensated. He's on his rookie deal. Jalen Ramsey got a $100 million contract after Jacksonville. Then he hit another one when he came over to Pittsburgh. He got extensions in Miami. So he knows it's a business, but you have to be balling. He's looking at nephew.

He's playing on a rookie deal. He's been bawling. So he should be compensated. And then we see what we can do because he knows what he's been playing, how good he is, and that he deserves to get paid. Because Jay is sitting in that joint making. his 24 year, balling. He knows I still got a ball.

Or they're going to be talking about chopping me. And what's talking about two-debo of how it can happen, the vets, they're going to have to start, they're going to restructure some base salaries, some big base salaries, and turn them into signing bonuses. So that's how they could free up some bread. It'll be T.J. Watt. It'd be D.K. MacD. Listen, this is, this is the issue.

It's not a offer. How do you not offer anything? You don't even have to talk about freeing up anything. until like give give me something that shows me that we are trying to make progress a impasse how are we out of impasse and we haven't even went to pass each other we hasn't even got to the table to get to an this is one i'm going to try to tell you debo and this is why i'm going to go for where i think that omar and them are not dumb they're obviously not dumb they're smart individuals i think that when there's some cases where with uh with joey porter junior in the case where when he had, I know T.J. Watts is different, but it was just a situation that I saw that nobody was like, oh, T.J, they're not offering you nothing. Everybody didn't know the deal

was going to get done. And then at the eighth hour, they're going to send great things. When things start happening and they send them an offer, the first offer is at $28 million. Okay, things will go real quick when the first offer isn't a loaf offer because they know, they don't have no time to play. They know what Joy Porter is. They see these other contracts. They know if we come in here with something legit, then he'll be ready to come to the table and ball. And it's not going to take long if there's an offer of like 28 mil. Boom, the Joey Porter Jr. sees what it is. I think, for me, agreeing that 30, right, 28, 29, 30 will be the number that we

could hit and we could be able to sign him for a four-year extension. So if they come with that number, quick, like, boom, then there's not too much time to sit there and play. What are we playing with? Like they did, T.J. T. T.J. didn't think no numbers was coming. Next thing you know, next day he signed, because they come with.

what, start out at 39, you know what I'm saying, or whatever that number is, like, okay, if they come with a legit joint now, Pizzi, like, man, he's putting his, he's putting his practice pants on. Because he's like, okay, all I needed was you to show me something. And now y'all show me, this is what it is. Make me, do something, make me feel good. Do something, make me feel good. They send an offer like that.

He's putting his practice pants on immediately. So I don't think it would be, I think that the Steelers are smart enough to know they got these deals done, boom, with Herbic, with the other guys. And he knows, if you, if you sign. them to 18, 25, 10 and a half for Mount Washington, you know what the market is. You're not dumb. You see the stats. You know what you got.

So you're going to offer. I think that they will offer them something smooth or, like you said, the other way, they like, man, it's not going to be. So they go need to get as much compensation because if they put them out there for a trade market, they will be able to get some. Like I said, rumor is they don't want a trading. It's his first deal. So he knows you got to go get it. And then at the same time, he's young. So he knows he has to continue to play at a high level. This contract he's getting is from what he did and what they were hoping that he can continue, what level he can continue to play. So right now, he got to go get it. You got to go get it. Got to go get it.

And if he can't get it now, then they get, like I said, you either pay or you end up trading him and he get paid. That's the only, that's the only two officers I see happening here, man. Sorry to say it, but that's, that's just, that's just what it is. And the, the Browns, they obviously named you word to sign Washington starting quarterback. Yes. Four week one versus Jacksonville. And Todd Munkin had this to say about his decision.

Listen, Joseph. Deshaun is going to start against Jacksonville. Took in the full body of work over the course of offseason to training camp, to the games, the joint practice. And ultimately felt like to start the season on the road, Deshaun gave us the best chance to move the ball and score points. I mean, that's really what it's about. and felt that way going in the last game, but wasn't sure. And after we talked as a staff,

and after we re-looked at everything, we're going to go that direction. Joe, they're going to go that direction. Top of Munkin said he gives them the best chance to move the ball and score points. What do you think? You agreed to agree with it? What he said was, I mean, look,

I was saying the whole time, Debo, that during the quarterback competition, when we talk about, he's talking about bringing in all of the reps, he's counting in, bringing in, how they're moving in, how to bring it out the huddle, all that stuff. If you just want to talk about on the field, I would say the first preseason game, I didn't see all the training camp stuff.

And when I'm looking at the training camp numbers, I don't know if those are legit or not. But if we're just going to say from preseason games, Deshaun didn't play bad on the first game. game, he played a little bit better. The second game, Shador obviously paid better. So it wasn't like Shador outstandingly played way better than Deshaun Watson during the preseason to where you feel like he stole the job. Neither one of them looked like Peyton Manning out there. So Shador, for me though, I think like just throwing the ball down the field, Deshawn still was kind of

when he was out there doing well the first game, it was a little bit of dinkin' Duncan. He was managing the offense. We got down and scored. It looked like a managing offense. It didn't look terrible at all. So he surprised me, like I said. When we say, with him naming him, I think it's more a little bit of obviously, when he says that we have a veteran, he's going to be going into,

he's going to be playing away games first. I think some of that has the stuff to do with it. I think that when he's talking about he talked to his coaching staff, I think he might have talked to the owner where he's like, I mean, you know, I think, man, look, Deshawn's kind of our guy. I think it might have been a little bit of that too. So I think it's The Browns are going with Deshaun to start it off

Because DeShedore didn't really steal the job And he's owed the money So I think that that's not owed the money But he didn't he shoulder never stole it So Deshawn he's been doing everything he had to do He's been working his tail off And that's why when I look at what he was saying about How he's been trying to get back

And all of that stuff all his emotions As a person DeShan I feel you are human being But you just got to have that mental aspect to understand you're a professional quarterback in the NFL to where that's why people are feeling that certain type of way. So they're going to feel how they're going to feel. The cheers and booze, that should not waive how you feel, how you change. You got to be able to keep your composure.

So he said it too when he did his interview about, he was in it, basically, I felt a like a certain type of way. You feel a certain type of way. He feels a certain type of way. Yeah. All I want to know is if you agree with his judgment of starting your guy Watson, Do I agree? I can see why they did it.

I, yes. I mean, I can see, I can see why they did it. I mean, yeah, yes, I can see why they did it. Okay, Joe. I, I'm going to keep it. Listen, listen, I'm going to keep it. I'm going to keep it 100 with you. I'm going to streamline this for you, Joe.

Hey, as much as I hate to say it, Joe. What's up? I have to, I have to agree with you, Joe. I have to agree with him. That's probably why I'm a little upset about it. And I really do mean this. I'm not just talking. Okay.

You know, when I look at both sides and you're trying to figure out, you know, why it is, you know, he's saying what he says. And when you take, you know, like you said, the last six or seven, you know, games or so and you put them together, I feel like you got six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. And you go to numbers together and you're looking at, you know, Shador's numbers compared to Watson's numbers, which is almost two years ago, you know, last time you actually played. But, you know, the big thing is Shador. He has, I think it was more passing yards and like yards per attempt. And he's had a 300-yard passing game plus seven touchdowns, right? Shador had nine interceptions. Watson only had three interceptions in that course of time.

And, you know, with the way y'all defense plays, protecting the ball or at least how you played last year is number one. You know, you're talking three interceptions on 216 pass attempts by Watson versus nine interceptions on 196 attempts by Shador. So I can see why they would go with Watson. And if things don't work out and he, you know, he plays and bombs, you should. still has your door to go to and now you can see what that looks like and allowing him as a young quarterback to develop on the field because what you get now, you know, that's just, that's not conducive to you guys winning. And, you know, with the one cat talking about how they, you know, they're going to start him on the road and blah, blah, blah. And if it don't work out,

then, you know, they'll go and, you know, start, they'll go and start, they'll go on and start your door. So, I mean, Debo, you, yes, yes. Starting Deshawn Watson isn't in, for me, I want the Browns to do well. I want Deshawn Watson to do well. So that's why I have to preference everything I say because end of the day, when Shador, I don't ever want to make it seem like I'm trying to put down Deshaun and I don't want him to play well because I want Shadour to start. I would have wanted to Chodor it because I think with this team,

I think we have a chance to see if he's a franchise quarterback for the low. Like Deshaun, I hope that you're able to ball out for us and play well because I think you still want to see this is your time to see if you're going to have a chance left in this league. So when we have the options, our line has to perform well, we have running back. So don't, Deshaun, you don't have to go out there and be old Deshaun. I don't think that's going to come back out. I think a managing quarterback that's just gets the ball where it needs to get,

has our great running game, you know what I'm saying, with these weapons. So if that's with DeShan, I think I hope that he can be successful with it. He's going to have, soon as we get out there, you're going to have Jacksonville,

you're going to have these opportunities. So we're going to be watching it. We're going to see what you're doing. Is it the other guys? Is the line blocking? If no matter what, if the line's not blocking, if Shador's back there,

he's going to get hit upside the head. If Deshawn's back there, anybody's going to be hitting upside the head. So other people are going to have to be playing well for the quarterback not to look crazy. So I don't want him to just go out. out there and look bad because, like, I want the running game to look good. I want to see what Casey Concepcion is doing.

So my hope is the quarterback, you don't got to do too damn much. We don't need you to be Josh Allen. I'm not asking you to be Josh Allen. You need to protect the ball, get positive, get positive plays. Yes. The big thing is you have to protect the ball. Don't be out there. Protect the ball.

But Debo, but Debo, that's my one thing, too. I'm more with protect the ball, but don't just be. dinkin, Duncan, and don't be scared. When I see Deshawn out there, it's not, it hasn't been bad, but it's still dinkin'unkin. It does not pass it over 10 yards. I respect the fact that you're protecting the rock, but give me some chance like the Dylan Gabriel. It's good completions, it's whatever, but you got to give yourself a shot.

Keep your eyes down field. Let me know that you're looking down there for a play to happen first, and if it's not there, then you check down. When I see Shador out there, the one thing is sometimes he's, he's his pocket presence on the second game. looks good. He's looking downfield. He's completing passes. You know what I'm saying? Overrout. Boom, on the money. Fade balls. He's trying to, he's trying to score points. So that's why I'm like, Deshaun, I don't want you to just throw the ball all over the place, but don't not have your

eyes downfield and be looking to create offensive plays. That's what I look at your door where in the day, he's standing up tall. And as long as he gets his pocket presence right and stop doing that reverse spinning, and he started looking better with that. Like the first game, the fumble snap, everybody keep batting his balls. I can't see that. I don't want to see that. If he would have played two preseason games, like he did the second preseason game, out of him like, okay.

And then if the tip passed, the back one, when it flipped up in the air and they picked it, if you really had led two touchdown drives right there, I'm like, okay, Shador, you're looking like the starting quarterback. I think you might have, you won the job. But the first game, the tip passes, the fumbling of the snap, you know what I'm like, ah, you just didn't steal it for me. If you would have played the second game, the way he did the first one, I'm like, okay, Beck, you look at a quarterback, you're throwing the ball down the field, eyes down

the field, your pocket presence is looking better, you're not just spinning around, you're not doing, okay, I see improvement from what I saw last year, because I'm just, I just want our team to be good. I don't give it them, who's the quarterback? If Shador isn't doing what good quarterbacks do, I'm like, oh, man, we need to go draft somebody. I don't think he could be the franchise, but we haven't gave him a chance with the line, with the time, with good people out there with them.

You know what I'm saying? So I want either one of them, go out there, be competent. Move the ball down the field. Don't just throw it crazy. But be looking down there. Try to throw a damn 20 yard over and hit it. So because that's what I want to see from our offense. Okay, you try to throw it 20 yard over.

I mean, you know, you might get it picked off. No, no, but he did that versus the bills. When it was third and 12, he's standing up tall. Wait for it to come and hit him right on the money. I'm like this. Yes. I like that. That's a quarterback.

You're standing up there tall looking nice. Okay. I understand what you're saying. I mean, Todd Munkin, he said to Shador, I guess he, his reaction, Tom Munkin discussed this Shador's reaction to being named Deshaun's backup. I guess he took it well. Let's see. He was awesome.

I mean, you talk about somebody that really understands the long game. That really, I think, has come to understand. The long game, right? What are we really in this for? What am I in it for? To have the Browns be an organization that people aspire to be, right? The long game, right? Where do we want to be in the long term, right?

Whatever that. And he understands that as well as a quarterback, right? Where he was at, where he's at now, where he wants to get to. That is what's so awesome about Soudre understanding that. Really, he doesn't. We met this morning for a good long time, and all he had was a smile on his face because he understands what really is in front of him, not really a short-term, maybe long-term decision.

I mean, this is like a player, like, he's going to work his butt off to get better, and he has already. Joe, what the flippity flip did he say, bro? He didn't say nothing. He's talking about he's smiling. He probably smiling to keep from grabbing your neck, man. Joe, what is your man saying, man? What is your...

for when my name is called believe in it or not like okay bad so it's not going to be at the beginning so i'm right now locked the fucking i know it is what it is the competition is over he's been named the starter i know he's going to get his reps but i'm in the hoster he's saying you he got one year left on his contract you're still young you're right behind him he's not going to be here next season just to say when he's saying long game kept keeps saying long game you're like thinking of like shador's knows he's not he's going to be in the future so not at two games four games James. Deshawn's going to play whatever, but health every, the NFL is NFL. He was third string last year, and next thing you know, he started seven games. He's second string right now. He sees what's going on with Deshaun too. He hears the boost. He knows what's going on. He knows that people are. He's going to be hearing his name cheer for in the stadium. ready for when my name is called because I'm next man up. So he's got his mind right. Well, he's like this. Oh, he's just, he's ready. He's locked in. He gets it. He knows the NFL is long time. If it's not my time right now, it's going to be my time when I can show everybody what I got.

And he's not in a rush. He understands what it is. I think he's just taking that process. So he's not smiling about it for show, Debo. But he's like, I know what's up. I know what's up. I know what's up. Just wait.
