Welcome back to this episode of Debo and Joe.
I'm your host James Debo Harrison.
I'm here with my co-host, Joe Hayden.
Please make sure you like, subscribe and download
where you get your show.
Yes, sir.
I'm doing a little bad today
because my thing done there, some little things here.
I don't know what's going on,
but I'm talking to my little camera thing right here.
So how are you doing today, though?
I am doing a lot better than I was doing the last.
episode, my brother.
God, I was struggling,
Debo. I was struggling.
What happens, Joe?
I'm telling you.
You know, I don't,
I don't, you know, I'm a
God-fair man. And there is,
I do drink alcohol, but you don't drink
into the point of drunkenness.
So I do indulge sometimes, but I
overindulge. You drink in excess.
That is not good. Nothing in excess is good,
except for praising the Lord.
Okay. So I'm telling you this.
I did drink a little,
too much. I would have a long, a long night. Caves got that belt to
tush. So I was drinking. And then I had a long night and I woke up
and then I had like the, you know, happy, the, just, just shakes a little
bit. So I had a little, little hangover. I'm locked in now. Big time
electrolytes, big time hydration. Have my coffee here to the side. Ready to go. Ready to go
for the show. I was looking mild-nourished on the show. I'm looking back at the
the videos, Dibbo.
I was looking crazy.
That's how you be looking when you be sweating like that too, though.
Listen, listen, but I'm coming from a workout.
You know, I'm trying to, you come from just working out your arm and your hand,
you know, just throwing them back, you know what I'm saying?
Trying to get your emotions in check because, you know, your team done did so bad over there
that you don't even know what you do.
You don't know how to.
I know how to function.
I know.
I know.
I mean, you want to talk about it now because you really couldn't talk about it then.
I mean, you know, there's nothing really to be talked about.
about, you know, we went out there and was not, and didn't do what we needed to do.
They won't.
Were they bringing the coach back?
Yes, I do.
Yes, I do.
I do.
I think it's a good, good move, good coach.
I think that, like we said, we spoke on the answer that he gave and why he did it.
And I think that he's a good.
Yeah, I understand.
I mean, I think he's a good coach.
You didn't think he should go.
You just said he shouldn't say that no more.
You know, he should be able to stay.
He just don't say that no more.
Yeah.
No, for sure.
But, you know, we, it's the offseason.
It's coming.
And if you want to get into that a little bit,
I'm excited for our future moves
and what we could possibly do.
So you obviously heard that LeBron might be coming back.
LeBron James, 1,000 percent.
We need him to come back.
Love that for him to close it out.
Bring it back to Cleveland.
We need him to be now a point guard.
He's more,
LeBron can do the one, the two, the three, the four, the five.
We showed he's a chameleon.
So whatever we would need him to do for our squad,
he'll be able to do it.
I'm looking at it right now more if we do move on from Hardin, which I'm thinking we might.
Braun coming in, Bronn maintaining main ball control.
Donovan Mitchell, not going anywhere.
You know what I'm saying?
Jared Allen, for sure not going nowhere.
And we're thinking about getting Yantis and to Tocompo.
Okay?
Who told you that?
That's what I'm hearing from the Great Vine.
That's what I'm hearing from the Great Vine.
So I don't know how that's going to work with.
I don't know how they're going to say because they're trying to say that's going to mean there's no way of getting Janus and Mowgli and keeping Mowgli.
So I'm going to see how they're going to figure that out.
But Braun, Mitchell, Jared Allen, Janus.
Then we got Max Trues solid.
D. Wade that we had.
I'm loving the with that, with that right there, because they have the surrounding parts.
We have enough star power and enough.
main players.
So what's your line up with the current lineup?
You go keep everybody that's there right now.
Where Brian going?
Who are you moving out?
The only one.
Well, I love Evan Mobley's game for what we got going on.
But for, yes, it might have to be Evan Mobley.
It might have to be Evan Mobley.
Evan Mobley and James Hardin.
Good.
Evan Mobley and James Hardin.
Because we're bringing in Braun and Janus.
Then Donovan Mitchell's still going to be there.
Damn, yonel.
Yonnell did yon got Brian and Yonnie?
Here.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
To Clayton.
Well, hell, he is coming from Milwaukee.
He's coming from Milwaukee.
He's been there a long time.
He's distraught.
He's trying to go somewhere and win.
Donovan Mitchell is not the problem.
We need to.
I love D. Mitch.
I love Spider.
You know what I'm saying?
So just bringing Bronn, getting Yonis,
Jerry Allen, for show.
Max Struz, like D.
we can get some more pieces, whatever.
But the main, main ones, if we get Janus,
Braun, that's what I'm looking for for Cleveland
for the off-season for our moves, if you're asking me.
If you're asking you, okay.
Did you talk to Dan?
I know that they're recruiting right now.
They're trying to see what's going on.
They're trying to get Bronn back.
Okay.
I was just wondering, because, you know, you got,
you're so close over there, you know,
I ain't going to say nothing about the ring.
had on your finger that calves ring you down your finger.
For sure.
Let's go Cavs.
What are they talking about?
They won the championship.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
I mean, I didn't see your name on the, I didn't see your name on the roster.
Because I wasn't on the roster.
I'm a big fan.
I'm a big fan.
I can say that.
I can be,
I can let that be known.
I am a fan of the Cleveland Chats.
So how'd you,
how'd you get that?
Because the owner is my good man.
He makes me because I'm a big, I'm a super fan.
So he gave a,
Tootupa fan, he looked out.
The people that work in the concessions.
You know what I'm saying?
Everybody that worked in Cleveland
that works for the cavaliers
got the Marine.
That's how my man, Dan
rocks.
We wanted to get it. I guess because you was just
too. I think
what?
You know, me I'm thinking.
I always think. So
I ain't no hater, man. I think he just
I think he shows some pity on you.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, he knew you.
I was riding with them when we, they were losing games.
When I got drafted, when I got drafted to the Cavs, I mean, when I got drafted to the Browns,
LeBron James.
Drafted to the Cavs, y'all, listen to this dude, man.
He living in a self-delusional right now.
He's talking about he got drafted to the Cavend.
Listen, I'm just, it's so in the twine, in the tango, my love for my city.
I'm, when I got drafted to the Browns, LeBron James was passing me in the air.
air and going to Miami.
So our team was not good.
We drafted Kyrie and Kyrie Irvin and Tristan Thompson.
My good men were out there bowling doing their thing.
And I was going to every game.
Courtside.
They could give away seats almost to the Cavs at that point because they were not
winning too many games.
So I was going on court side.
We were losing, but I was supporting every time, all the games, all those years.
So then when Braun came back, I'm still courtside.
I'm not going to where everybody now.
Oh, Dan, let me come to the game.
games like, oh yeah, yeah, bronze coming back.
He's like, no. Joe was
here when we was getting spanked
back in the day when we drafted
Kyrie, went to the draft lottery
to go get the number one pick.
You know what I'm saying? When my good man, Nick Gilbert,
RIP, Nick Gilbert, Dan's
son, the great Nick, to go get
the number one pick. So that's why
it's love. It's real bonds there. I was fighting
like, I wasn't just a fair weather fan.
I was, oh, no, bronze not here.
Man, bump the calves. Y'all trash.
I ain't rocking with y'all. I was sitting
Court side, taking those Ls with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the mask I had on
bearing Davis beards.
I had on Aaron and Verissela wigs.
I was going to the game's full uniform, Debo, with shorts and a jersey on like I was
about to play with the Anderson Verrejail wig on.
Yeah, set me in, coach.
If you need me, I'm here, Dan.
So I was damn near player.
You know what I'm saying?
So that's why I get the love.
That's why me and my good man, Dan, you know what I'm saying, politicking.
Okay.
It was pity.
No pity.
No pity.
No pity.
All love.
He was like, you know what, man?
I see a guy that, you know, he doesn't put itself in a situation that he, he don't even realize he's never going to have an opportunity.
Who?
To, you know, when the, you went to the Browns, man.
So you knew that.
He saw that.
He saw the skill.
He saw the passion.
He saw like, you know what?
I see.
and Joe is going hard out here.
It's not his fault.
I think they got some fans
that go a little harder than you out there, Joe.
Yeah, they wouldn't put this jersey.
They wouldn't, they wouldn't, they wouldn't throw this crazy,
this fire bend throwback on because I got love
for my Steelers fans too.
I'm rocking with Steelers Nation also because I did my time.
And that's what I'm saying.
You up here, boy, you're playing both sides of the fence, man.
You never put in blood.
I put in blood, blood, sweat, and,
tears for seven years for the
Browns and then five bloods
sweat and tears for the Steelers.
Like, real years, trying to go get
it. What do you want from?
I can't be nothing but me.
I can't be nothing but real.
All right, so who will win it?
Because we got, we got, we got, we got
game seven coming up. Okay.
After, uh, what, did you watch game six?
Listen, man,
it don't even look like Oklahoma. They was
even trying, man. They didn't even look like
they was trying. It was trying, but, you know, the Spurs is not out there playing. And this is one
thing they can. I understand, man. But look, dude, they came out. The second half was like, you know,
we're 20. It's like, let him, just let him run it, man. Get him, you know, let him do what he do.
This is what I'm trying to tell you. If my man, SGA, is nice. But if that man, Castle,
do you see Castle out there playing that defense? He's playing good defense. Winby's also lagging
off so it's actually good defense.
And when he scored 32 last game,
Shea, he had 17 free throws.
If he's not getting to the line,
he had three free throws last game.
So if he's not getting to the line,
that's 17, that 32 points
minus 17 free throws, you know what I'm saying?
That's looking more around the 15, 16 points range.
If he gets to the line a lot more,
it depends on if the rest are going to call him fouls
or, you know what I'm saying?
They plan, man, they out there playing football
with that man.
He just, he just getting,
ran through, man.
Dude just dropping his head
and just running straight through
SGA, man.
Who?
Stop it.
The one little dude
that was over there crying
about ready to cry the game
before, he went and just
go over the shoulder
and just ran it straight.
It's a lot of, uh,
yeah,
it's,
it's,
both,
yeah, he did.
Yes, he did.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah, he did.
He did.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called
Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down.
Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Well, and they could travel up the land doing meet and greets.
They're constantly needed at malls.

What's up, fam, this Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the podcast.
playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night
bases on offense.
And when IT's friends stopped by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some
playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, I said, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcasts.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America,
there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is,
you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes.
In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics,
the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House
that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.
Listen to Rebel Spirit Season 2 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It was mad. They was mad.
They had to go get some.
They had to go put some pads on them.
I ain't going to lie.
Bro.
Yes.
Stop playing, man.
Like, that's, that's unbelievable, man.
Who you think is going to win, game seven?
I think Oklahoma.
Oh, I think, oh, Oklahoma.
I think they're going to pull it up.
Okay. Real talk.
I don't think, uh, your boy can, I don't think he can just keep coming,
stacking, stacking, man.
All you got to do is wear a lean on me, man.
Put somebody on it.
Just put a body on it, dude.
He's seven foot, what?
Man, he said, they say seven pole.
Two, that's victim weight to me.
That foot
2.30.
Hey, they're talking about
I'm victim weight
because I'm down to 255.
Uh-uh.
That man
a whole
and four inches taller
than me
and he only
20 pounds
He's 20 pounds
life.
But it's not just him too, though.
They got Castle.
They got
24.
They got 30.
They got ballers,
bro.
Listen, man, they need numbers from him.
They need, they need, they need double, double with a few blocks
and maybe a couple steals and all that other stuff
to get the, to get the results to look like it's supposed to look
on that, on that scoreboard.
Like, we're going to see.
I don't know, man.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Jay, they plan some D is depending on how the files are going to be called.
And now Oklahoma City, we keep on remember, not forgetting,
they don't have a second best player.
J. Dub.
You know what I'm saying?
They keep putting all of this pressure on Shea.
J. Dub, their second best player, is not in the game.
He's out.
He came back last game, one for 10, like had 10 minutes, one shot, you know what I'm saying, no buckets.
That's going to be big.
Harper for the Spurs, like I said, too, Harper and Castle, bucket getters.
Not, not, not, not, not, no KC.
Look, it's going to be, look, it's going to be a good, good game.
I'm gonna run away with it
they don't run away with it
you're gonna see
depending on how the pals are calling
depending on how many times
I'm saying if she gets to the line
over 15 times
okay see
other than that
it may be the spurs
I'm gonna go
I'm gonna say spurs
I'm gonna go
I'm gonna go
even though
even though I love Oklahoma City though
they show me they show me great
they show me great time
but if I had to pick
you do
all right
so
all right listen
We're going over here to Pittsburgh.
So the article says Mike McCarthy is already enraged at assistant coach.
Who in the hell wrote this?
Listen, bro, it says enraged.
And the words that he said is, I don't know what the hell he's doing.
I want you to listen to this.
You tell me what is enraged about this.
These click bait right now.
You know how that is.
It's crazy, bro.
Listen to it.
Mr. Ramon was saying yesterday that 55 touches and completions is a big number for you.
How did you come about that number?
Is there like a wind-lock percentage associated with that number?
Well, I mean, it used to be 53.
I just think, you know, his offenses have prevailed and with the role changes over time.
You know, I started off in, you know, 1993 working in game analysis,
and that was a big part of my job as a young coach.
so I've always stayed in touch with the numbers.
They call it analytics now,
but I think it's important to use those guidelines
to project goals,
but it also helps keep you on a path for mindset
of how you want to call a game.
There's no absolutes,
but I think there's more to the 55.
I've always believed in a complementary football formula.
That comes with great defense,
obviously getting those touches.
to your primitive players.
The big one is obviously one in the turnover ratio
and time of possession.
So those are the things that, you know,
when we get into the real football,
because right now we're in a teaching phase
that's been really the emphasis for year one here
to get everything taught schematically.
We've been, you know,
going to the last two weeks on situational football,
but we'll get heavier into those types of conversations.
I don't know what the hell of Jim's doing
giving that good information out so early.
I'll have a talk with them.
Joe.
Oh, my.
You tell me, you tell me, you tell me,
tell me what you think, Joe.
If it's, it's nothing going on, what the hell is he doing?
He just gave the exact, he answered why he said what he was saying about why it would be,
it used to be 53 and I was 55 and went about and gave the exact reasons of what it is.
This is just, if you want to say about he already don't give a hell about what he's doing,
enraged with one assistant coaches, that is just to,
to get people to read to click on to your to click on what you're talking about yeah you know what I'm saying
because once you click in it and you see and read and listen to the answer and what he said
is actually perfectly said you know what I'm saying you can see he's being funny at the end he's
being sarcastic like uh like you know I'm saying that's exactly I think what happened right there
yeah yeah you just got you just got what they wanted you just got baited into going ahead over there
and looking at that and checking out and seeing, you know,
what it was that you was or wasn't going on,
all that other good stuff.
But here's the thing.
I understand what he's saying.
So in the sense of him being like, okay,
I don't understand why he's giving out all that good information.
Is he just saying like the running back coach,
what's his name, Romney, Roman,
saying something.
So that's why he said Chen Young.
I think it's a black dude, chinyum.
Go ahead.
Anyway, let me get out here.
Come on, man.
That threw me off a little bit.
Let me stop, man.
Anyway, man, what it comes down to, man,
he's like, yo, he doesn't got a position.
He's younger to the game as far as being a coach.
I think this is actually his first actual position coach,
like actual true position thing.
So he's trying to get these dudes an answer, man.
He's trying to give him information, you know.
But what you're doing is you're giving them a little bit too much information.
Because over time, they'll figure out, you know, what it is that they're doing.
But you done went on head and gave it to them already without them even having to wait, you know, four games to get some type of tendencies and all the other stuff.
So I hear what you're saying.
I hear what you're saying, a thousand percent, Debo.
But in this specific instance, I feel like he's legitimately being sarcastic because he answered.
No, I used to say it was 53, now it was 55, and went on to name.
you know what I'm saying some of his things that are just kind of the basics of his defense you know what I'm saying you got to win on the the averages like just to go about all of stuff he said I'm not saying he's truly upset but I'm saying like yeah man don't be giving out the good information yet like you said as a not I don't I wouldn't say it sarcastically I would say it more as a just a little surprise you did it it's not a big thing but yeah don't give them don't give it to him make them have to earn it because a lot of these coaches out here won't sit there and look at it.
at everything that's going on.
Like you got Dick and Boe going back and looking at what you did 20 years ago
and in what position you did it with and what kind of players you had that was playing the same
roles in positions and he was going to make his moves from there.
So some coaches don't do that.
So I understand what he's saying like in that aspect.
But again, I think it's like, yo, people give too much information.
You want to know something the easiest way to get a young dude to talk.
Easiest way to get a young dude to talk.
be quiet and ask them a stupid question.
Ask them a stupid question.
I call them stupid questions.
So how do you feel about what they're doing with you,
about how they're going to use you?
And do you start talking.
Yeah.
And they hold the mic there like this, Joe.
They hold the mic there like this.
And then when you stop talking, they keep the mic there.
And he feel like he got to keep going.
So he started adding more information.
Before he know it, he didn't told them about the trick-played
that they done made up that ain't nobody's supposed to even know or see.
No, no, for sure.
For sure. I know what you're saying.
I know what you're saying.
Only reason why I'm saying a little bit different about this man McCarthy is because he's saying that he's answering.
He's giving his jewels about what he does on defense, about like the winning on first downs.
Like some of his core values of what he thinks that he would want to do.
So that's the only reason why.
But I know what you're saying about when people just shut your mouth.
You know what I'm saying?
Less is more.
They got to make them do the research.
Hey, man, less is more.
Just give them what they were.
How do you feel?
You got to study everything.
They sit there and they just hold it.
They just hold the thing.
I'll be like,
Mm-hmm.
Next.
Yeah.
That's it.
Nah, no, no.
I ain't giving no more than you ask for.
You want,
you want all that information out of me,
man,
you better give me a detailed question.
And then on top of it,
I may not even get to you anyway.
So it really don't matter.
And that's another thing.
Like, McCarthy, he's closing practices.
These boys ain't going to be sitting there
and watching practice every day.
They ain't, dang,
they ain't going to be open to seeing practice every day.
That's something.
used to. You do that? I like it, though.
I actually like it. Because I don't have
this, I don't have all these reporters in here
sitting here trying to write a story
that's going to fit their
narrative for what it is
they want to write and agree with.
Hey,
hey, listen.
Yes. Listen.
Cleveland, talk to your boy.
Talk to your boy.
Monkey,
closing practices. They want to count
reps and all their other. Don't give them
nothing to count. Don't give him nothing to count.
I know y'all ain't going to do that.
Every time we're talking about the stillers right now.
Every time I hear Mike McCarthy talk, though,
he's talking ball. He's talking fundamentals.
He's talking facts. He's talking real ball stuff.
So I love it every time I hear him talk.
Yeah.
Close the practices.
Them boys are going to be having access to every practice now.
Man, they're about to lose their mind.
You don't need to be there any day.
No.
You don't need to get everything, man.
It's early.
We trying stuff out, man.
Let us get our feet wet.
No question.
Look here, man.
The Browns.
D.C.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes, sir.
What we got?
Browns, D.C.
attempts to clarify where things stands with Miles Garrett.
Ruddnberg said,
knew that would be a question.
I'm going to leave a lot of that interaction between me and Miles.
He's just going to leave it.
He ain't going to nothing with it.
He said it's voluntary.
Voluntary.
And we respect the voluntary aspect of it.
And whatever team you're on, your team, my daughter's softball team, what do you
brought his daughter's softball team.
You know, he really don't want to answer the question.
I like that, though.
That's called deflect.
I like this.
You love the way you wanted to be.
Love.
love, love everybody to be around, but also understand that people have different things.
Had great communication with different people.
Had great communication and execution for when everyone's here to put it together.
To put it.
Okay, so listen, Joe, he's saying everything is great, it's good.
I don't know if he's saying it's great and it's good, but I think he's saying that, you know what?
I ain't giving y'all no information.
You asked me a question and I answer it how I want to.
And that's how you do it.
That man is a professional.
Like that's how you're supposed to do it.
You know what I'm saying?
Like when it's a tough question
and you can't get a real answer to him
or you don't know what the real answer,
you don't want to cause no more controversy,
or you just don't want to give him the answer.
You redirect the question and you say what the hell it is
you want to say.
Hey, James, what's going on with Miles?
Man, I'm going to tell you something, man.
My girl's softball team has something, I don't know, but anyway.
It's great.
We're doing good.
Guys here working, it's all great.
Let's go.
What you do, coach, is you control what you can control.
You, there's a lot of other things that's going above your head with the general managers,
with the head coaches that are working about what Miles got going on.
Miles Garrett is under contract, and your job is to coach who is in that locker room.
When you go out to those OTAs, the people on that field,
are the people that you need to be able to address.
So when people are addressing like Aaron Rogers
or you got contract dudes, Miles Garrett's,
these guys that aren't coming to OTAs,
they're in their second contracts.
They might have money that they need to be there.
Sometimes they just don't.
It's like, all right, I'm up.
Miles Garrett has posted pictures now.
He's in vacation with his girlfriend or his fiance.
So that man have his time.
He's not right now.
He's off.
He's chilling.
OTAs are optional.
team activities.
So you want to talk about this stuff every time there's always players that are normal,
higher up in their contracts that start to not go when they get to their seventh, eighth,
ninth year, 10th year in the league that just don't go to OTAs.
And it's not a big deal because now you're expecting when those dudes come to the mandatory
things that they're going to be ready to go and they're going to perform at the high level,
at the level they're expected to perform.
They're going to learn the defense.
They're not going to take long to get back on track.
So that is what it is.
Coaches, when he's talking about, you know, obviously,
you have to understand people are all in different situations,
talking about, like, his youth, his daughter's youth team.
Like, sometimes people got trips, people got stuff going on.
He's just trying to make it his own little thing to just say, like,
obviously we want every player to be here.
But certain players have certain different things going on,
other things that they're going to be, other things that they're going to be doing.
But when they get here, my job is to coach the players that are here.
So we're going to welcome Miles Garrett here with open arms when he gets here because he's an amazing player.
So it's like, you know all these answers too may get back to Miles Garrett.
You don't want to be talking crazy about your player that you expect when he gets back.
You know what I'm saying?
You want it to be welcome open arms, Miles Garrett.
When you come, you're the defensive player of the year.
You had 23 sacks.
We expect you to be a leader and to be performing once you get on the field.
Because when you're not here, it is what it is.
We want you to be here, but you're not.
So I think that's kind of what the coach.
You don't really, it's a slippery slope.
You don't have too much to really say.
So you could just spend it how you want to.
You don't have control of what Miles is doing.
You would love him to be there, but he's not.
So you're going to do your job as to coach the players that you have.
Well, Joe, you know me.
I got to think.
Yes.
You know?
And I got to think outside the box.
For me, Joe.
I hate to say this, but
it is voluntary.
It is.
Involuntary seems to me
mad.
Listen, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe.
Listen, involuntary
means exactly what it says.
But, Joe, when you got a million dollar,
how you,
don't you,
it's my turn.
Go ahead, go ahead.
Go ahead, Debole.
Go ahead.
When?
Listen, Joe, when?
You got a million dollar in center to just show up and be present at the off-season workout program for only 85%.
And you're only there, what?
Three, sometimes four days a week.
So I find it hard to rhyme and read.
reason that. But I ain't never made
40, 45 million a year, so I don't
know if I would care about an extra million
if I don't get my
time the way I want.
You understand.
You know?
So, but...

Nope, it's podcast time.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Hey, Jonas is available now and their first guest is a big one.
Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Can you tell you not to audition the office or something?
I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchor Man.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to him, right?

Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without
Luca and Austin Reed. And finding
ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen
before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to
give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends
stopped by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell good.
the flying, he running up the court, licking his fingers
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp
with that, I said, you figure it out
real quick. Get your ass
up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.

As they said, they do have mentor of Manny Camp.
That starts June 9, 10, something like this, right?
Okay.
So if he doesn't show up for that, now...
That's when it's...
Now we can start talking.
Yes.
We start talking here, right?
It gets tricky.
Yeah, we got...
Now we got some...
Yes, we go.
Right?
We go agree on that, right?
Okay.
So now, with that being said,
I think this could be a situation where, you know,
he wanted to leave last year.
He wanted to get out of it.
He wanted to have opportunity to win.
but they gave him the bag and they made him the highest paid non-cornerback in NFL.
But since then, Joe, been about two, three, four, five guys that done got more.
He's no longer the highest paid.
So maybe it's a situation where, especially when you take into account,
the $30 million restructure right there where he's,
say, hey, I don't want it just yet.
Let me move it on back for y'all.
And then moving it back or him allowing them to move it back,
it allows them after the June 1st, is it,
to take that pro and separate that thing into 26 and 27.
So they can break that down over multiple years
instead of just having to come out in one year, Joe,
which means it gives more chances of opportunities
for them to get a trade and make a trade,
even though,
I believe he got a no trade cause in this contract, right?
But that no trade clause means you got to send me where I want to go.
Joe, I understand what he's doing.
It makes sense to me right now, Joe.
It makes all perfect sense.
You know he ain't going to be there June 1.
What I need to go there and learn and do anything for?
That's why I,
mini camp start June 9.
He ain't going to never get a chance to see or go there, Joe.
He's going to be not got that trade, got that
deal, and be over somewhere else where it is
that he want to be. And he'll be over there
with their voluntary workouts as soon as they get
that trade done after June 1st, Joe.
He goes. I hear you.
Okay. That could
be a possibility.
That could be a possibility.
And we would need to be getting
three first round picks.
I'm just telling you.
I ain't, Joe, I'm just telling you, man.
I think I got a play, Debo.
So look, I'm expecting with Miles,
he's going to come during the mandatory minicamp.
I'm expecting Miles to be there.
I'm hoping that Miles is there.
We're saying that if Miles is not there,
I got a scenario that if he doesn't,
it's for him, for him to be gone.
Okay?
It's a three-team trade.
Three-themed three-teens?
Who the three-teens?
Who the three-teens?
The Eagles?
The Patriots and the Browns.
Okay.
The Eagles, the Patriots, and the Brown.
Who getting who?
The Eagles have to give up A.J. Brown and the first round pick.
2028 first round pick.
Okay.
They get Miles Garrett.
He would be happy to go there because he wants to go to a contender.
You know what I'm saying?
Solid good, solid team.
The Patriots.
would get, they would have to give up the 2027 and the 28 first round pick.
And they get A.J. Brown.
And then the Browns would give up Miles Garrett and they would get three first round picks.
They would get the 2028 first round pick from the Eagles.
They would get the 2027 first round pick from the Patriots and their 2028 first round pick.
So they would get three first round picks.
The Patriots get A.J. Brown.
the Eagles get Miles Garrett
and the Browns get three first round picks.
That is my thing.
Everybody's dysfunctional.
Everybody's happy.
Miles is happy.
AJ Brown is happy.
The Patriots are happy.
The Browns get three first round picks.
The Browns are happy.
I like that.
I like that.
Three first round picks.
Miles Garrett to the Eagles.
AJ Brown to the Patriots.
Brown's three first round picks.
And the Brown's got a 2027 first round pick
already and a 2028 first round
pick. So they would be sitting there with
two in 2027
and two and
28. But that'd be three
in 2028. That's not a bad
deal. Everybody's geeked.
Dibo, you know that doesn't sound crazy
at all. I think that would be
good for the Browns because if
we don't get rid of my, I didn't, I said
my first thing. If we keep miles,
I'm loving the trajectory that we're going.
We got miles. We can get more pieces.
But if we did have to get rid of
him and get compensation.
Three first round picks for Miles Garrett
right now, I think would be great
for all three teams.
We'd be sitting there.
Hell yeah, two first round picks.
That's a lot. No, three.
Why are you mad at the Browns? Who's not happy in the deal?
Maybe, maybe the Eagles,
because they're giving up A.J. Brown.
But, no, AJ Brown and
AJ Brown and one first round pick
for Miles Garrett. I like that
for the Eagles.
For the Patriots.
The only the Patriots is giving up two.
The Patriots is giving up two, and they get an AJ Brown.
So that's the one where they might be looking like,
but I'm not mad at that at all.
That's good.
AJ Brown for two first.
Are you getting a solid instant starter wide receiver
for the Patriots, for Drake May?
He's nice, and you need to get,
you can get him a dog and good coaching.
You know what I'm saying?
You feel like you'd get him around a better system.
They feel like they can handle AJ Brown better in New England.
Well, they had him in.
He had him in Tennessee.
That's his man.
Yeah, he had a man.
And now I got you over here.
We right next to the ship.
I mean, dropping dimes over here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm loving it.
But that's just if we end up with miles leaves.
If miles stays, keep miles.
That's the first.
First thing first, keep miles.
If we don't keep miles, listen to what, listen to what I said.
Who told you about this trade?
Joe, somebody that told you something, Joe.
Nobody has told me nothing.
I just been looking around.
trying to figure out who's feeling crazy.
Yeah, looking around.
That's probably why he was drinking so heavy.
Cleveland Lawson, y'all know you're about to lose miles.
No, we ain't going to lose miles.
Miles is chilling.
Miles is chilling, but I just wanted to say, like,
if I was looking around, if I was looking around.
If I was, if I was, this is what it would look like.
If I have to look around and think of something
that somebody might be thinking about,
this might be something to think about.
That's all I was saying.
Man, look, we got breaking news.
It says Adam Schutner, he said,
Stillers and senior assistant special teams coach,
Darius Swinton have parted ways due to violation of club policy per league sources.
What happened there?
He didn't even get a year in, did he?
Like, he got what?
What?
I don't know, bro.
is hold on but
did Mike McCarthy not bring him in?
Oh he's just okay, that's okay
there we go.
Brand new, bro.
He ain't, bro,
what, month or two, two, three months
at the moat?
Man, listen,
he might have been trying to
rate us for the last three seasons.
Look, who knows?
He either was,
he either was trying to do his own thing
and Martin McCarthy wasn't rocking with it
or he got caught up in the South Side.
Stop it, Joe.
Stop it, Joe.
Joe, stop it, Joe.
Joe, we ain't stop it, Joe.
We ain't doing it.
Joe, we ain't doing it.
Joe, leave him.
He's a long, brother.
Leave the Southside alone, right.
Hey, Debo, I'm just saying.
It's something.
It's got to be football where.
Joe, you know something?
I know, Joe.
I know nothing.
My name Bennett, I ain't in it.
I'm just trying to say,
I don't know what's going on.
He just signed to the team during the off season.
It's only been off-season things going on.
So unless you're not communicating with your coach and y'all just...
What's the policy you don't messed up already?
That's what I'm saying.
Conduct detrimental.
What kind of stuff are you doing right now?
It's the off-season.
Like, unless you're not, unless you're coming in there with the coach
and y'all are literally not seeing it out of eye, like, no, I don't think you're...
I'm not going to go into that because it could get real messy and I don't want to get messy.
I'm not trying to get messy either.
All I'm trying to tell you is...
Yeah, I don't want to know.
I don't want to know.
I got...
Joe, I got information that I don't want to know
that I know, I know, and I just wish I didn't know it.
See, that's why I can say what I want to say
because I don't know nothing.
I'm just literally saying.
I'm just saying from...
When I hear this off the top of my head...
Oh, you got information you know.
What do you say?
You got information you know.
You said what?
You're rocking with owners and all that.
You got information you know.
You're getting rings and all that shit.
See?
See?
See?
See?
See.
See?
See.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
No, if you asked me a question.
You ain't step a foot on the court, but you got you a ring.
I had a bunch of feet on the court.
What you're talking about?
Dude, feet on the court, just because you're the court side do not mean.
That's the same court.
That's the same court.
Look, people.
Where the f-is you going, brother?
Do you see this?
This is actual court.
from the stadium.
Dan Gilber Scenta's
certified
court.
Actual court from the game.
Do you know what I'm saying?
So I'm literally in it.
Look at this.
Look at this box.
This ain't no play-play box.
This is real land.
Real, real feet on wood.
And you ain't really have not nampi in that pot.
Oh?
You ain't had nan pee in that pot.
All right, man.
You ain't do nothing but sit there, yell and hoop and scream and yell.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
And you ain't do nothing for that.
All you did was sit there and drink in excess and joy because they won.
And then did nothing.
You did nothing, Joe.
And you're sitting there with that.
Hey, Joe, here.
Is this the same talk?
That's the problem.
That's the problem nowadays.
Everybody gets the participation trophy here.
to the Steelers fans.
Here.
Is this the same talk
you get to the Steelers fans
that come and celebrate the parade
with you?
Is this the same talk
that you get to them?
They don't get a ring, Joe.
Is this the same talk
that you get to them, though?
They don't worry about my ring.
Don't worry about my ring.
Even if they were to get a ring,
you would still be.
Joe, you was talking with your hands
all around your face, you never do that.
What about the people that work
inside Heinz's field?
If they put blood and things,
If they were to get the high-sfield,
they were to get them rings,
would you be okay with you?
You were just sitting in there, making them work,
serving you.
Would you be okay with that?
Would you be okay with them getting the ring that worked inside?
Yes.
Okay.
All right, that's all I need to know.
Game in and game out, putting in work for the company,
not sitting there, yelling and screaming, hooping and hollering,
drinking.
You ain't even putting in no time.
You ain't there.
You ain't there on the game, all.
You know what?
I would accept the fact of the crowd ain't there.
You ain't there when the people and the fans ain't there.
They're there cleaning up every day.
Every day when ain't nobody there.
When people are there, when it don't need eyes on them.
You want to be there when the show was going.
I was there when we were losing games and there was no,
there was no game.
There was nobody there.
There was no, it wasn't all the way full.
Me, I was, I was there.
No, everybody.
Everybody was there.
Everybody was there, Joe.
What about the other people that was there?
What about the people?
Like, they didn't get it.
They didn't get a, they didn't get it.
Come on, Joe.
They didn't get a ring.
Why didn't get a ring?
I can understand.
You didn't get a ring?
Why?
Because they were.
They're part of, that's part of what helped us grow.
That's part of what helped the whole, the whole organization.
I felt as though.
I was, I basically worked in there.
I basically worked in there.
I basically worked in there.
Up to the head man.
Everybody.
I was in there every game.
Every home game.
I was in there.
Every home game.
Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We get to ask other people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions
because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
