Joe, go ahead, baby.
I say, explain for me, what is the tax system?
So, tax.
We got to get Joe in there.
Next one, Joe in.
You can do it.
I know.
Listen, I know I can do it because, look, when y'all saying these workouts,
I pump, my dad was a professional bodybuilder,
and he works out every morning, 4 o'clock.
I want to get him.
Joe, Joe.
Joe.
We're talking about reps.
We're talking about hell of reps.
I know.
I understand.
Debo.
I'm trying to tell you the one person that I want to go, I'm going to come.
For sure.
I want to come and I want to bring my dad.
Bring your daddy with you.
Yes.
I promise you.
Because my dad, he trains like you guys.
I need to get back right.
I need to get back right.
With the training, the pushing the failure, the 150 reps, all that.
The victim weight.
The victim weight.
My dad, he's about all of that.
So when y'all,
All of saying, I know because the training that I started lifting when I was in the seventh grade.
My dad was training me and my brother.
So all of this stuff that you're saying makes complete sense where it's more the mental.
You know what I'm saying?
Like you got to push past failure.
You know what I'm saying?
You think that you're done.
You're not done.
You got another rep in you.
You know what I'm saying?
You got another four.
You can push it.
So that mental state is everything.
So I know I stopped working out a little bit since I retired.
A little bit.
Debo, chill out.
chill out. I definitely, definitely, definitely
need to get back in the gym. So God,
what's up with the tax system? I definitely want to come out there.
Just let me know a little bit about it. So every,
it's tax after every set.
35 push-ups. That's the baseline.
Okay. Okay.
So let's say we're doing tricep pushdowns
and the count is 200. Okay.
On your way to 200, you stop
to take a breath like you put the weight down
for a second. That's 20.
That's tax 20. So on top of your pushups at the end,
the 35 you initially had, now it's 55.
Now it's 55. Okay.
If you close your eyes, it's 20.
Jewelry, Joe.
Yeah, jewelry.
Oh, yeah, listen.
There's no time to-
Don't come in there with no jewelry on.
Ain't no reason to have no jury on.
Ain't no reason to have no jury on when I'm in the gym.
Yeah, not.
And then whatever else we decide to tax, really,
if some bullshit we don't like you, I'm going to tax it.
Unnecessary conversations, not paying attention to the work, yo.
Hey, man, they're taxing.
No, no, for sure.
I just whatever, because sometimes it's certain shit, like if I see somebody just acting like they're tired, but I can tell they really not.
Yes.
Moving a certain way for the camera.
I'm just taxing all that shit.
Taxing anything.
How fast can you tell that somebody is going to quit or not ready for the gym?
Five minutes.
Five minutes.
First set.
First set.
First set.
Because when you tell somebody 200, then you'd be like, if you see.
Hold on.
Not that.
first thing that we usually see is
when the person says how many left.
So say we do tricep extensions
and you'll get, and you'll get 43,
or let's say 40.
You know, how about I got left for 160?
You can see somebody melt.
I don't want to intimidate somebody out there.
I'm a stickler for the kids
and it's not about intimidation.
Then you'll see like, oh shit, 160 a year.
And don't stop,
but now you got to do your pushers.
You go straight from that exercise.
Yes.
Push a board.
Yeah.
It's no walking around.
Don't try to take no bathroom, break, stretch out of your own.
That's what I'm saying.
But people aren't ready for that because you're lactic acid.
What if your arms is something?
Dude, Joe, I'm going to tell you right now, like, honestly,
it's a point where.
Ain't it a point of the end of the end of you know.
Can you all tell.
Listen, bro, I had to jump back into who and what I was that built who I am,
that person.
I was.
Like, I had to jump into that.
Like, matter of fact, actually, we got a clip where I'm doing pull-ups,
where I'm doing, I'm doing, I'm doing rows.
And I grabbed this thing, bro, and I couldn't get this some bitch to move,
bro, the first time.
Y'all got that clip.
Y'all got that clip.
Let me doing them, Rose.
Yeah.
Whatever to compensate.
Yeah.
I couldn't live this the first time, dude.
And they were like, hey, I could do it.
And in my mind, I'm like, I know I can do it.
I just don't want to dig a shit.
why don't I want to do what you know,
you know it to hell with it, I got to dig into it.
So you go and you grind through it.
Literally, that's just what you do.
Yeah.
It's no other way to get it done other than to be like,
you know what, I'm done.
Before I even got to that workout, dude,
I had said to myself, I had already said to myself,
I'm not digging into that.
I don't want to go there.
I don't want to go there.
I don't play all this time.
I don't want to go there.
And they got me into that space
where I'm like, you know what, fuck it, I'm gonna go there.
I watch your switch, Phillip.
I saw it when you're switched.
I saw it when it happened.
Hey, Joe, listen, no BS, right?
I know me, I'm a, I know how to poke the bear.
So, yeah, right?
I know, I studied him.
I know he has that switch, right?
Yes.
And the thing about it is,
his switch is, he's almost like Bruce Brennan in the Hulk.
He got to learn to control it because he can go way off the deep end.
Yeah.
I don't give a fuck because I need it.
I need you to be that man.
Yes.
He won't be the Hulk.
I'm Frank Castle.
We're going to tear some shit up.
Yeah.
I'm right in with you.
We was doing the push-ups.
Yo, he was cursing.
Fucked out.
He looked at that man.
Hi.
I said, Heidi, really, we fucked up in the head.
He might want to take this point in court.
But I said, Debo, take it there.
I said, go back to that dark place.
And I looked that.
hiding his eyes. I said, what the
he had a transformation. That's what
Joe was. And I'm like, yeah,
but you got it, big dog?
You got my chain?
What I'm trying to say is Joe,
he started all very
positive, like, and it was
an intimidate and good positive.
Like, if you know
D-Bow or you study him, you'll see, okay,
yes, his facial expressions are intimidating.
But that's just him, right?
Yeah, because he's
a man of substance. He's not
no push-old. So he can't
prepare. He was warmed up.
I said, oh, he's already warmed up.
He had to tap into that bad man.
He had to tap into what we call
it a kill jar, right?
Take all the stuff that's happened
until you put in that jar, and sometimes
you've got to take the top off and let
it go. And when he did that,
the whole workout changed.
I said, that's who I wanted.
I want the nice guy. I respect the nice guy.
I need the bad man a day.
Go find that man and bring him to me.
Found that man doing a push-ups.
He found that man doing a T-bar.
He cursed us out doing the lap, the rolls.
That man's for a while.
Play some more of them clips, man.
I know we got some more lined up.
Joe, when I say, bro,
and I'm looking for him to give me something back
and he wasn't giving me nothing back,
and that was just pissing me off more.
Like, I want to fight, bro.
I want to fight this, nigga.
I'm like, I want to fight this, nigga.
Give me something.
Like, I love you, bro.
I'm like, you motherfucker.
I'm like, you motherfucker.
Y'all was working.
Get the volume play, man.
Let it play through.
Let's go.
There it is.
Right there.
Right there.
Right here.
He had to get right.
He ain't allowed to have these straps on.
That is.
That is.
But he got a strap zone.
You change, you change locations.
What you could do, babe.
This right here is funny, Joe.
Listen, though.
Hey, Hardy, you call it stretching them black, so.
You call it stretching them last, they don't look like you're stretching their legs, man.
I see why they find you.
Yes, sir, so, yes, sir.
We get on that plane and I'm up.
See, babe.
He gets a assy bad when you get on that plane.
For what, man.
You know, man, they got a banter back and forth.
That's beautiful.
Bro, it's love.
Yes.
Yes.
Who's negative here?
Yes.
He's negative.
Yes.
He got the work there.
How he negative?
Uh-huh.
He switched the grip.
He switched locations.
He's speaking my son.
He's switching locations.
Um.
Cram.
Cram.
Brug.
My body started cramping, bro.
I'm trying to do a pull-up.
I can't even lift my leg up because it's cramping.
Like, I can't even look my leg.
It's cramping in my handstring, bro.
Back of my heyday when I played safety of cornered.
And he over here, long time ago.
It was a long time ago.
You started feeling good, you started telling all of the lies and shit.
Oh, my God.
I try to back pedal now.
Everything going to tear.
Pop, those are weasers.
I'm not ashamed.
I'm not ashamed.
Yeah.
Where the shirt at?
Pull the shirt off.
I'm 400 weeks out.
400 weeks out.
Yeah, for sure.
Joe, that was going to go.
That was good.
Is it 10 a.
5 in the morning, dog?
He said 10 and 5.
Oh, that's early.
That's his fault.
He said 10 and 5.
He said 10 and 5.
He said 10 and 5.
That's what he did.
What he said.
He let him get away with sitting down.
You do that.
Do as I say, not as I do.
Because of that attitude.
How are you are a cameraman?
Like, you did say.
Hey, yo, what's hot you on, bro?
Bro.
So on that one, I guess I was supposed to do five.
I heard 10 and 5.
So I did 10.
And then the other one, I guess it was supposed to be switched around.
But, you know, hey, man, listen, I was, I had jumped into the bag that they wanted me to get into.
Yes.
And it was, it was, it was over with them.
I was, I was going to do whatever the hell we was doing.
And if I sat down, then fuck the hell with it.
You know what I'm like that?
Hey, yeah, I'll ask you all this.
So the Ashton Hall, do you all remember the Ashton Hall workout?
Yeah.
He gets clowned on the internet.
What do you think he learned from the workout?
Did he do good out there?
Yeah, he did great.
Ashton came in to work.
Like, a lot of people come in to find content.
I've noticed that there are some people that come in.
We trained like there was no cameras on.
We was just getting to the money.
He ain't complained.
His security guard jumping a workout.
He was training with us.
Yeah.
Don't bring no cameraman with you because they go throw that boy in that workout now.
Who would y'all say surprise y'all the most?
I think Ashton's surprise is because he didn't have to live up to his persona.
Nobody don't give a fuck about-
Nobody don't give a fuck about no go-yard bag.
Like when he first came, because he didn't have to live.
I hate to say his reputation precedes him.
You think he's arrogant.
You think he's soft.
You think he's all this.
And this is because he's a well-mannered kid with money that's successful.
So if you don't know him,
he's soft.
That don't get soft.
But when you come in that gym,
hey, bro, be you.
Fuck these cameras.
Yep.
You got a chance to really be around two people
that didn't give a fuck about his money.
We didn't ask him for his information.
We don't want no sponsorship,
nothing.
We came to work.
Like, we're going to bring the dog out of you.
What happened was he got a chance
to leave his persona at the door.
Fuck that Go Yard bag.
We're about to get to it.
And he got a chance to really earn his keep.
And I said, bro, this is a difference.
When you're working out by yourself,
when you're working out with your personal trainer,
they're going to spoon feed you.
You don't give a fuck.
It's men amongst men.
He wasn't deadlifting.
He came, what's and started deadlifting and started going crazy.
because he got an adrenaline rush
because in there,
energy is transferable.
When I'm probably do some shit,
I'm up next.
And it just keeps going.
So for the first time
in a long time,
he was able to be himself
without being judged.
Nobody had their hands out.
Nobody disrespected him.
He got treated like everybody else.
And then once you walk in,
it's not about how much money you got.
It's not about that stature.
You can be the fucking,
I don't get to fuck who you are.
You come in there,
you're a regular fucking person,
just like us.
And it just brought symmetry.
So he shocked us.
I'll say Matt Rife did good.
I was going to ask you about Matt Rife.
Salutes Matt Rife.
I didn't expect him.
Bro, he came the same thing.
Came in there.
I didn't know what to expect.
But he's a dog, bro.
He work hard.
He work hard.
Some of these people might not be
the, you come in and they be the strongest,
but for what they can do, they max it.
Yes.
Like you get their maximum output,
and that's really what matters.
He wasn't trolling.
He wasn't training.
It's certain people,
that come because
yeah, the publicity of the gym
and they want to be a part of the gym
because they want to go viral.
And for me, I can be home
on my family.
I could be training for myself.
Real talk.
That piss me off.
When I got people in it,
I really want to get to it
and not for the cameras,
but for them,
for their soul, for their body,
it's a different type of bonding.
Yeah.
Okay, yeah.
A couple times.
Like, when we train with Depot,
one of the best parts
of the training was the conversation
after that.
That's the real growth.
That's the real.
We're going to put in this pain together
and we're going to sit down and talk about it.
So when we have these kids come in,
some of them don't know what to expect.
And so we said that we had a couple of kids
cry while working out.
I think that's a big part of y'all's
involvement or transformation
from the actual workout to what comes from it.
And like I said,
that physiological and,
and psychological aspect of it.
And basically what I think you're starting to get into
is more of the mental aspect and the mentorship of it.
Yes.
And how many guys that you see, you know, you come in there
and you look at them and you say,
oh, he's not going to be able to do it.
But how many of those guys you look and you say,
oh, shit, he's about to be a dog.
It's going to be a dog right here.
And how many of those guys are coming in there
and you're just like...
Behind every night spent making the kids lunches,

Women's sports is giving us way too much to talk about these days.
So Kelsey Finler, she became the first female solo rower to go from California to Hawaii.

Like, what are we eating?

The definition of what is a movie has kind of changed anywhere too, right?
What do you think it is now?
It's images and words being spoken, captured by some sort of technology.
Danny McBride.
He loves it.
It's fantastic, and you make it on, you make your own.
That's great.
I call him Terro Reed.
It's a good name.
They're all named after cast members of American Pie.
Yeah.
I call, I don't, I never looked up if she was in this, but I call him Leachie Sobieski.
Yeah, I don't think she was an American Pie, but I still like that.
Haven't looked it up.
She was prominent around the same time.
Yeah.
Then Mary Steenbergin.
Why are you guys talking to me?
I'm worried.
I'm worried.
Why are you talking so down to me that you think.
I think I don't understand your little play game.
I just really, I get it.
I'm trying to set you up for success here.

Listen to you're the problem with Yamanika on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
You know what?
He's trying to work through something.
I can see it.
I can feel it.
You can see it in their face.
It's also a lot of times when you meet people, like even as men, we all got a little wall up.
Yeah.
You're not seeing past the wall.
When you suffer together, you go through pain.
And now we're all dying here together.
Everybody lets that wall down.
So we sit down after this when we, that's why people start crying.
That's why sometimes their emotions come out because it's been suppressed for so long.
And they never have that to let it out.
So finally they let their wall down.
They're around people who care about them who could give a shit less if the cameras were on or off.
And I think it brings the, I think it brings the best out of people.
And then they're able to say, you know what, bro, this has really been bothering me.
And this helped me a lot with that.
I'm sorry.
They started to figure it out.
Like Shizzy.
Shizzy was a, he's a young L.A.
influencer.
I don't know if I'm allowed to say that brand.
But he came and the pressure on him to be perfect,
the pressure on him to just do all these things.
And he came in and while we film it,
he's like, I know y'all wanna break me.
Y'all wanna see me fall like every,
yo, we're not here.
Bro, we didn't make you better.
So we actually stopped.
I didn't care about the filming and we hugged him.
And he started crying.
I said, bro, let that shit out, bro.
We meant.
We all, should nobody here to break you, bro.
We all go through shit, but no matter what, quit.
I think that was one of the most emotional things.
And when destroying came, he had a baby.
I said, bro, if you quit during this fucking workout,
you expect your wife to quit to quit during labor?
You're going to quit through a fucking workout,
but you wouldn't ask her to push your fucking baby out.
What if she said, I don't want to do it?
And she quit.
How the fuck is I want to make you, bro?
You say things like that.
It's a reality.
So it's like, oh, shit.
For us, it's not about breaking nobody.
We just don't want to see you quit.
It's just something that I've been one, like,
all this shit, we got to go.
because my mentality is a little bit different.
I'm a firefighter.
I can't afford to quit.
No.
His mentality is way different.
This is how he feeds his father, his mother, how he feeds himself.
If he quit, he goes broke.
If I quit, people die.
Yes, sir.
So we can't afford to quit on no aspect.
Whether it's being the influencer or fighting fires,
you got to fight through that shit.
Ain't no fucking say, hey, Chief, give me a water bottle,
give me a gatorade in the middle of fire and a lady's on the third floor.
Fuck that.
I'm going to get her.
And if I lose my life in the process, so fucking be it.
This is what I sign up for.
And that's his same thing.
He does this shit to feed his family.
So if he pushes to the extreme, the sudden happens, this is what he signed up for.
Everybody's not willing to risk their life for their lifestyle.
They just want the lifestyle.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I think, I think that that's a big one right there, man.
Everybody's not willing to risk their life for the lifestyle.
Like, it's a certain aspect.
that come along with everything that you do. Assumps and the risk is what it's called.
And that, a lot is sacrifice. Rather, it's, you know, time, money, emotional, blood, sweat, tears, whatever it is.
And I don't think a lot of people understand that concept. I know you guys got the clothing brand.
I see it back there, till the death, man. How long have y'all been doing that?
What, what, how y'all come up with that?
That's the TD.
Yeah, that's been since
2021 too.
Like around the same time
where I started filming
It was just
It was something I always
Like my father always used to say to me
Like anytime I was going through anything
He's like well it's going to be like that
So you die
He's always say that
Like I'll complain about something going on in school
He's like if it's bad now
It's going to be like that to you die
So from like
To the death
I'm just going to go do this to you know what I'm saying
Whatever happens
I'm going to deal with it anyways
Until I die
That was the whole thing
And then that shit quickly came up in the gym
Because every set was like, yo, so you die
To the death, bro.
To the death, you know?
And then it transferred over
And we made it a brand, a community,
a bunch of like-minded people.
I like to look at it less like a clothing brand
and more like a community.
It's everybody that, everybody that I've never seen some,
like, I don't even want people wearing it
if they're not going to live that type of lifestyle.
No question.
No question.
Well, at least they invested in themselves
to the point where they're getting in the gym every day.
And like whether you're trying to be a body
You gotta start somewhere, babe, you know?
Hey, Hattie, I heard you did a little D1 soccer
and you got a degree in, what is that, Civil Engineer?
Yes.
Your soccer game, where is it at?
What you mean, where is that?
Where are your soccer game in comparison to like a professional,
an amateur, like.
I'm right up there with him.
I'm right up there with him.
I believe so.
He could have.
I'm a little heavy now, but I like, no, I,
I know. I seen you had victim weight
171 pounds.
Oh.
What you mean?
I'm 225 pounds right now.
He was.
He was 171 pounds, Joe.
I seen it on this.
I seen it on the story.
Hey, again.
Back there.
Back there.
Back there.
He was that victim way.
He was running around there kicking the ball and everything.
Okay.
You know, he up there flexing all this other stuff with the little sweet hair and everything.
Lay back grease down and everything.
You know what I'm saying?
That's crazy, Debo.
It's different now.
That's crazy.
Now, I'm got a hold of him, man.
Joe, look, when you come, it's going to be me and you
versus the two old heads, bro.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, it's over with it.
Yeah.
Joe ain't got it.
Let me tell you what I got, bro.
We ain't talk about the weights.
The drive and the push, you're going to see me go to another level.
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah.
Yes, I'm going to go till I can't.
I'm going on a little.
Yo, let me ask you a question.
We're stopping you from training.
Nothing.
Thank you.
I'm no answer to the question.
Myself, myself, myself, myself.
Okay, I'm nothing.
I can start back training.
This is real talk, right?
Speak about sacrifice.
God has blessed you to play in a national football league.
Something that I dreamed I could have went to, right?
And I was just legit in high school and college,
but I kind of went on vacations to other colleges.
That kind of derailed that story.
Yes.
I'm trying to say is God has also blessed you with a podcast, right?
Yes.
With that being said,
are you comfortable enough not to hit the gym?
No.
So what the fuck are you waiting for, Joe?
And I know I'm, I'm bullshit.
I'm going to do it right after this.
I'm starting back today.
I promise you today, real talk.
Joe, don't talk.
You heard me because I'm not,
what I'm not going to do is,
what I'm not going to do is,
what I'm not going to do is,
what I'm not going to lie to,
because we got a grown man,
grown man conversations,
and I know I got a gym
downstairs that I know
I can do, I'm making an excuse.
It's nothing but excuses.
It's nothing but excuses.
It's nothing but excuses. I was being lazy.
So I'm literally starting back out today.
All right, so who?
When you do it, record it.
I'm going to record it, for sure.
Every morning.
Story.
Today.
I'm back in the gym.
Today.
You know, I'm a check.
I'm going to get you.
No, Debo, give me the numbers.
I'll get on the cell phone.
On the cell phone.
Oh, yeah.
Now, Debo, you don't.
You're gonna mess up now?
What out of messed up with?
What out of messed up with?
Because now I'm getting...
You think I ever stop?
I know.
Now I got to catch up.
It's all good.
You think I ever stop.
Stop playing with me.
You know what makes it so bad, Joe?
You know what I make it so bad?
Come on, man.
He acting like I ain't got it.
I'm only working out about five days a week.
I ain't even at seven.
All right.
But for real, for I'm bringing my pops out there too.
I'm bringing pops to the gym.
I'm bringing pops to the gym.
Bring pops to the gym because that's the person
that I can actually work out.
that ain't victim weight.
I believe in you, Joe.
I believe in you.
Nah, bro.
I hear they be saying the same shit to me.
I don't like, yo, there's a clip.
Maybe you can pull the clip up.
But Joe, I was at the fanatics fest in New York
minding my motherfucking business, okay?
Yes.
And moving peacefully.
I turned my head around the corner.
I see people looking at me with this face.
The face, you know the face?
Yes.
Yes.
I was nervous.
I was like, oh, shit, I was about to turn back.
I'm gonna holler at you.
But he caught me.
He locked my eye.
I had to go up to him.
And he started pressing me, bro.
I did not press him.
I didn't even go up to him.
He walked in front of the people you live.
Debo, you were sizing them up.
I was right next to you.
I might have took a couple steps.
I'm just saying, I didn't press him.
I was asking questions.
You said, if you weren't getting that Chuck's message?
I don't got to.
Did I ask a question?
I didn't, I didn't, I asked the question.
right, aunt? Come on, uncle, what?
It was, you know what? I cannot tell a lie.
It was a, it was a, I'm starting
to sweat because I'm nervous too.
The question was asked
Sir Debo, but it was a little of
the aggressive like,
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
I was just trying to find out.
I was just trying to find out. I was going
other way. I said,
I said, um, I said,
hey, howdy, you ain't get my text message.
You did not say it like that, you lying.
Wow.
I have the video.
I said, put a clip.
You text me and catch you back.
Can y'all pull the clip he's talking about?
But I'm just telling y'all, I said, what I said was, hey, you ain't get my text message.
I don't know exactly the tone in which I said it because my memory is bad.
I had concussions.
Oh, if you're asking that, the tone was messed.
The tone was fucked up, Debo.
The tone was aggressive.
Had to be.
Bully,
G-bo.
It could have been.
Probably.
Hey, bruh.
I see it now.
A thousand percent.
Listen, it might have been aggressive.
Because I've been told that sometimes when I say things, it sounds aggressive.
I'm not.
I might have been trying to make that one aggressive.
I'm not going to lie.
You're a thousand percent.
When I get back into it and I think about it because I was feeling some type of way and I just seen him
and he laughing and joking, he's slapping hands and all that shit with everybody and all that.
And you just go make like I ain't texting.
Like, nigga, you ain't seen my text?
That's how he said it.
That's how he said it, Joe.
I know that.
And Joe, it didn't stop there.
So now we're in the bar.
We feel like little mini celebrities
because we ain't got no money, Joe.
Everybody they got on jewelry, they got alcohol.
I'm asking for complimentary glasses of water.
And we're trying a lot of people like this.
And I'm like, yo, he followed us in the bar.
Bro, they're lying, brother.
I said, you got a water with some ice.
Yes.
Joe, you was there.
Joe, we was walking through, man.
And I just happened to stop by that.
Happened to do and see him again.
Have a check on.
I tell you, man.
Is you okay?
I'm like, no.
I can't.
Hey, um, you really, you really looked like you was okay.
Wasn't that ain't that right, hottie?
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
You can see him.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
How's going on?
It was a very positive event and environment.
Great event.
We were talking about we at the 40s?
Bray, I'm telling you, man, when that boy Wimby came through there, man, he made me feel disrespectful.
Oh, my goodness.
I don't like looking up at nobody like that.
Me either.
Like, I'm kind of, I'm like, damn, I might want to just.
What did you say?
What did you?
Because that was our first time mid.
Did y'all enjoy it?
That was our first time there.
I'm gonna tell you this.
It was my first time there and I don't, um,
I don't really drink like that no more.
And I, you know, I'm older.
I don't know, maybe because I wasn't drinking
or maybe because I'm just not into that no more.
You're just standing around.
Yeah, that's how it was.
Y'all getting old, that's what it is.
Yeah, it was a lot of moving parts.
That's the fact.
That was for me.
Ah, that's the answer, okay?
Yeah.
There it is.
Oh, wait, we said, um,
Oh, I drink.
Yep.
I drink.
You sneak in pain.
I had to get to it.
I was mine on my brief.
Give a fuck what he did.
What he said.
You do as I say, not as I do.
Y'all want to bring up all the aggressive clips.
That's crazy.
Oh, you put chalk on.
He put chalk on.
He put chalk on.
Hey, he put chalk on.
I put chalk on.
That's a leap.
That's tax.
Hell yeah, Kyle.
Get your 35.
Drop time.
Yes, sir.
No, talk is allowed.
The straps usually aren't.
Oh, chalk is allowed.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, my bad.
Joe, it was four places and some chains on the bar.
They want barbedo roads.
I just woke up eight minutes ago, bro.
Like, you told me, I put the straps on.
You make an excuse me?
Look, that's why me and you, we're going to work out perfectly.
We're going to get right.
Listen, Joe, ain't no straps for you.
Come on.
No, you can get the straps.
Hey, listen, man, we're going to let you do all that.
Okay, the pushups, the pushups is go get you.
I'm telling you that right now.
I'm locked in.
On top of that, Joe, so if you doing your push-ups,
let's say you're-
Oh, yeah, listen to this shit.
What's up, Tame?
If you stop in the middle of your push-ups
or, like, put your knee on the floor or something,
it's another 20.
It's another 20 on top of the 35 or the 55 that you owe.
So that number add up fast.
Before you know, you might be at 250, 260,
and shit looking bad.
All push-up.
And we don't close it,
them till you finish.
Right.
All right.
Joe, and you can't touch the ground.
How long does the workout, how long is the workout normally take?
So somebody's die?
See, that's what I'm saying.
That's the ones, that sound like my, to failure, I didn't, give me a number.
There's no numbers, Joe.
There's no numbers.
So you do get a number.
I take it back.
You get a number at the beginning.
But that number can go up.
That's what I'm saying.
That's what I'm saying.
That's them workouts.
I'm, I'm here.
for it. I'm here for it. But there's
no ceiling. They just can keep moving
the ceiling and you're just going to have to keep going. No.
The ceiling is set as soon as they
tell you, we got 200.
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got 35.
We got, we got, even
it breaks down the tens and fives like we were doing.
But if you trick it off,
it's a tax.
Okay, no, that's what gets you.
That's what gets you. The taxes.
No, Joe.
Behind every night spent making the kids
lunches, there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pesto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

sort of technology.
Danny McBride.
He loves Nova.
Oh, that's fantastic.
And you make it on,
you make your own.
That's great.
I call him Terro Reed.
It's a good name.
They're all named after cast members
of American Pie.
Yeah.
I call, I don't,
I never looked up if she was in this,
but I call him Leachy Sobiesky.
Yeah, I don't think she was an American Pie,
but I still like that.
Haven't looked it up.
She was prominent around the same time.
Yeah.
Then Mary Steenbergin.
Why are you guys talking to me?
I'm worried. Why are you talking so down to me that you think I don't understand your little play game?
I just really, I get it. I'm trying to set you up for success here.

Tax don't mean.
In the beginning, it's 235.
So it's 235.
That 235 can turn it to 350
with a couple little long breaths
and a little break in between.
Yeah.
That's your response.
That's on you.
That's on you.
You determine.
I got to be on pace.
I got to be.
Joe, Joe,
hell with the pace.
Control of your controllables.
No, you're not going to the show.
Listen to me.
Listen to me.
Come in there with your mind ready
that I am going to go through hell.
Yes.
I'm going to have to push through it.
Don't come in there like I did
where I'm like, you know what?
I'm going to come in here.
I'm going to do what I'm going to do.
I am not digging into my bag.
No.
That shit worked for like the first three sets.
Nope.
That was it.
I already know what time it is, Debo.
I already know what to expect.
So I'm going to already come in there.
Listen, they taxing the hell out of me
without telling me.
about the tax.
Knee hit the ground, that's the tax.
What you mean the tax?
25, 20 most, huh?
Yeah.
You need to touch the ground.
Bro, they don't tax me so tough.
I said, shit, you can tax me all you want to.
You can't get, you can't get nothing out of, you can't get blood out of turn up, baby.
I'm like, shit, y'all don't.
See, D.
You can tax all you want.
I ain't got no money.
I'm like, I'm like, bro, that's where I was at.
Yeah, he had the color, he had the color water.
The color water, hydration drink water.
Hydration, Joe.
Hydration.
Supreme, Joe.
Got to.
Got to.
Hey, Joe, I know you're sweating then.
While we training,
ain't no time for us to go take,
get a little water break.
We do that after.
We just go.
Listen, you go kill yourself.
I already did a whole hour of cardio
and you want to tell me I can't drink.
Man, kiss my black ass.
I'm going to get me something to drink.
No, but you know what it is?
You know what it is,
especially even with the influencers,
like you come in there,
what really happens is you find out about yourself, bro.
No.
You really learn about yourself because everybody's,
everybody coming like, oh, yeah, it's just a workout.
I could do this or.
No, it's not, bro.
Everybody's on some, everybody.
I knew looking at it, it wasn't just a workout.
Yeah.
I said, my kids, I said, bro, I'm not, dude, no, I'm not, bro.
I ain't got that in me no more.
I don't even, I don't even desire it like that, son.
I don't lost, I'm telling them I don't lost every competitive bone in my body.
I ain't got nothing.
I'm telling them everything.
Dad ain't going there.
Bro, I'm telling you this, Debo, everything with them knows.
Listen, man, I'm fucking around and pull that shit out.
And I'm like, God damn it, now I got to go here.
What y'all doing the workouts with the people?
That makes every difference.
Because you can tell somebody what to do.
You know what I'm saying?
But you're showing me like, man, I'm hitting these two.
I got to hunt it.
So you got to go hit the hunt.
So having y'all do the workouts.
There's 17-year-old kids in there doing it too.
People will come in and the 17, our 17-year-old kids will drop them off.
Drop them smooth.
Facts.
Right off the jump.
Right off the jump.
They'll jump it and they can't understand it.
And I'm like, yo, he's 17, he's 18, but they're, they're condition.
Their condition, they've been doing this.
And our conditioning for them was, okay, I want you all to do something besides this.
So now they go to football camp for Montclair State August 11th.
We got two of them going on my nephew, AJ.
And that's the type of stuff we do.
It's about you grown with us so we can help you to grow.
Go.
Whatever you.
Like, we support it.
If it's positive, we're going to support it.
Because it's, this is how I look at life and how do you tell you?
When you leave, you can't take none of this shit with you.
So certain things, you got to give away.
And that's knowledge, motivation, and sometimes time.
Because you can't.
You want to be remembered by good deeds.
and you want to be represented by the good deeds that you did,
people keep it going.
So that's what we try to give back to the community all the time.
And we try to get these learning lessons, these life lessons.
Like, once you leave here with us,
take that with you for the rest of your life.
So that's your start.
That's what we try to do.
Hey, who and what inspired you?
Me?
Yeah.
I understand.
I grew up like in the 80s, so I'm older.
So all we have was Rambo movies.
What the fuck is so funny?
My bad, fellas.
He's going to give fun.
Before the eyeballs came out.
No, but it was a little bit different.
Like, all we had was rock.
Go ahead, bro.
Tell the story.
Why are you sliding away?
Somebody.
So, like, it was, everything was about being in shape.
And, of course, I played sports.
And for me, it was just, it was something that was different.
I never did drugs.
I never, I never, I never.
I'd never, I hardly ever drank, never, I just wanted to always be in shape.
So you got a figure like Rambo and all.
Everybody was in, had a nice physique.
And then I started going to Diamond Gym when I was 16.
And I felt like real life superhero was like, oh shit.
Yeah.
Just even when I was in the, you know, doing good and doing bad, I always stayed in the gym.
And then I thought as I got older, it was therapy for me mentally.
Hell.
Like, there's certain things, if you tell your girl, she'll,
use it against you. You tell you home, boy, he'll think you weak. You can't tell
mommy because she's going to tell daddy. Like, so certain things as a man, you got to deal with
internally. And I went to the gym, and I used to always say, okay, I'm going to turn my pain
into power. Whatever I go through mentally and physically, I'm going to take that out
on myself in the gym and I'm going to make me a better person. So that's, that's just,
it's just, my inspiration was like looking at Ronnie Coleman, uh, Dorian Yates, of course,
C.T. Fletcher. And honestly speaking,
And this is not no bullshit
because Debo is on the live.
But watching him transition from football
to getting in shape at his age
because we're kind of the same age,
he's still playing with 500.
He's still doing them Debo thing,
listening to McAvelli, throwing the weights.
I find inspiration in that.
And I'm like, yo, if he can do what I can do.
Because you never know who's paying attention
to you for the good, not just for the bad,
Oh, he got a bad attitude.
He was getting fine.
Fuck all.
He's an athlete.
You understand?
Y'all mad because y'all can't control him.
Man's in shape so you want to piss test him every week.
I pay attention to everything because you control fear.
And this man is invested in his body, but he made his body a weapon.
Just because he made his body a weapon does not mean he's a threat.
Yes, sir.
That's my biggest thing.
And I watched him put the work in.
And then to go to the gym with him, he's training.
And four o'clock at
I said, Heidi, four o'clock in the morning.
Mm-hmm.
At least 30 or something like that.
So for me, I'll just say
like my biggest inspiration was
to be healthy.
Because in my hood, everybody's high.
It's a lot of junk.
It's a lot of, you know,
it's a lot of bad stuff going on.
So that was my positive away from the hood.
I got you.
I always wanted to be different from everybody.
Good stuff.
What about you, Haddy?
Uh, my inspiration.
Yeah.
Honestly, bro, was always just, like,
my whole thing was creating a better situation for my family.
It was just bad.
So my thing was I was trying to play.
I was playing soccer.
That was my whole thing.
I was going to go pro.
Since a young kid, I'm training.
Like, I was, I would go to training in the morning.
And then midday, I had to practice with the team.
And then at night I was going to the gym by myself.
I did that my whole life.
Yeah.
I told my MCO.
And then, bro, all,
I knew, the reason why I got so heavy in the gym was because all I knew was like my physical
output, like I related physical output, how hard I work can get me here. So when I lost that and I
wasn't playing anymore, I was like, all I knew how to do was physical. I didn't know how to,
like, I'm trying to get to it and make this better for my family, but all I know was physical.
All I know is like that type of work. So I just put all that into the gym, bro. And like,
That's why when he told y'all the story, like he called me pretty boy,
and then I asked him to work out.
No, he called me pretty pretty.
To the point where I'm really going through it because of my knee I was depressed.
I wanted to fuck him up.
That's why I said, yo, I hit up my man.
I said, yo, tell the old man, keep calling me pretty boy.
I want to work out.
We're going to see how pretty I am.
That's a fact.
That's a fact.
That's the truth.
Because he was doing it every day on my bad days.
You know you're having a bad day?
Yeah.
He's still calling you Pretty Boy.
I'm like, no, no, no, no, not just Pretty Boy.
Rib shot.
Like, pretty boy, and he walked away, and you're getting like,
like, now I feel like my manhood being tested, you know?
What's up? You want, because it's true.
Hey, oh, how are you coming back from that injury, man?
How you told me he did that to you?
Yes, it's all right.
I'm going to answer both parts.
Yes, it's true.
I did it.
I did it.
I hit him a lot.
A lot.
And now, yeah, I actually, I act.
The funny thing is I told my, my pet muscle.
in 2003 I marked their state benching.
And then I kind of re-agravated the tendon.
Then the tendon popped off.
So I met a good doctor at Summer Health, Dr. Vasquez, and he said, I could repair it.
I'm like, bro, it's been tore since 2003.
So it was 20 years of scar tissue.
And it had shriveled up.
So they repaired it.
They brought it over.
So I'm on my ninth week post-stop.
I've been out to sling for two weeks.
I'm slowly getting back in the gym.
I can't go full throttle because they said it's like six months.
But I explain to the doctor, I need it.
I cannot, even if I go to the gym to walk on a treadmill or go to the gym and watch them train, I need it.
It's a part of who I am.
And I don't think people understand.
And I know as athletes, when you get hurt, watching people want to field, play, and then you guys, the thing about you guys getting hurt, money's involved, your career is involved, your stats is involved.
But it's also a mental toll on getting hurt.
And people don't see that aspect of me.
I can't be in the gym.
I'm losing weight.
losing strength. It just played with me
mentally until I got my rap around it.
And honestly speaking,
I had to, you said something to us
when we was in,
um,
we was in Pittsburgh and also
when I spoke to you when we was texting,
DM and be patient.
So I had to look myself
in a face and I'm like, damn, if I'm telling all these
kids to be patient, I got to be patient.
So I was patient for
six weeks. God,
or willingly, I was able to get out the sling. So now
I'm starting to rehab back and
get back to it.
But just doing something little means a lot to me because I'm staying at.
So now it's going to be the challenge of being better than where I was at.
That's a buildup.
That's a process.
Everything take time.
Anything worth having takes time.
And it takes a little bit of pain and then perseverance to get to it.
It's different for us.
You know, most people, bro, most people, honestly, they get like FOMO.
They feel like they're missing out when people are going out to the club here.
or going there, they feel like I want to be there.
Like, he really, like, and I'm the same way,
you get phoma when I see people at the gym
and I'm not there. I'm like, fuck.
Yo, they in there working and I'm over here.
Like, I'm on my county.
I get up and I'm going.
Uncle used to go live every day at Diamond.
Sometimes he wouldn't even call me.
I see him go live.
I'm like, I'm going to be there.
I get up, put my shoes on, and I go.
I'm saying, and that's my thing.
It's a different circle that you surround yourself with
and people that you're around them.
Yes.
It could be that.
It could be left field.
I want to go to the club,
I want to go here.
I want to go to do everybody out.
Or it could be this.
You know what I'm saying?
You choose what you kind of fall in love with.
Yeah, definitely.
The company you keep will speak to the person that you are
and the things that you do and what it is that you want to do,
aspire to be and everything else.
So, you know, what we want to do really, though,
is we don't came to that mark.
And we want to thank you guys,
for coming on. We appreciate you.
But we're going to set up this workout for
back. Joe, myself. And my father.
And Hottie, with your father there. That way, it's three old heads.
Yes. My age, too. Yeah. Hey, if y'all ain't know, Joe Young.
Pops of the same age, he workout four years. He ain't young. He ain't young as Hattie.
Howdy and Young is one in here. I think Hottie, like, what was you, 27, 20,
I'm going to age, something like that young, young man.
How old are you, son?
27.
I got kids your age, son.
Me and Heidi.
27, howdy?
I'm 37.
I got kids howdy?
I got kids howdy age, okay?
So I might bring my son with me, too, just in case, you know what I'm saying?
And matter of fact, we're going to set it up.
We're going to set it up here again.
Because I like getting up early.
I don't know.
I don't know about all that, you know, that other stuff y'all do.
I got, I like getting up early and I like having certain things.
You know, I got to get my treadmill.
I got to be able to walk.
I got to, you know, I got to be a, no.
So what we go do is let you, Joe, deal what is like to go through this.
I'm going to already remember what it's like.
And I'm going to be ready for it this time.
I know.
We're doing it for sure.
And I'm going to the dark place before I even get there.
Like I'm going, I'm going ahead.
I'm going to switch it over.
I'm going to try and switch it over.
I'm saying that right now, but, you know, I'm saying that.
right now, but the switchover actually, it takes a little bit of pushing.
You know what I'm saying?
We don't get there fast.
I know what pisses you off now.
I've already learned you.
There we go.
We're going to get right to that in the first three minutes.
We won't get right to the bullshit.
Cut the bullshit here.
Right here.
There we go.
