Welcome to Debo and Joe.
I'm your host, James Debo Harrison, and I'm here with my co-host, Joe Hayden.
Please make sure you guys like and subscribe.
You don't want to miss nothing.
How you doing?
in the day, Joe.
Man, I'm doing good, Debo.
I'm not going to lie to you, my good brother.
I am a little tired because I was at the game with you yesterday.
Yes, sir.
I had that 615 flight this morning to get back to my crib so we could be set up.
And, you know what I'm saying?
Do the show the way we do it.
But it was amazing.
I had so much fun watching the game with you, my brother.
Yeah, it was a good time.
I didn't go lie.
I mean, the outcome won't.
Outcome one good.
Kicking it with camaraderies good.
Let's go on here and get to it.
Let's go ahead and get to the game, baby.
Well, first thing's first, though, I want to say the bills set out the two starting tackles.
So what does that tell you, Joe?
That tells you that they go run the ball, it's quick passing.
Yeah.
And what do we do to open up the game?
We come out and nickel.
First play.
Cook's goals 19 yards.
Why?
We got a crack replace.
They're going to make our corners tackle them one-on-one.
Yeah.
Lopee's got to come up on that one.
Yep.
I think they tried to do it again and next play.
This time he broke up on it and he made to tackle.
Yes.
Okay.
That's cool.
We get to, I think it was second down after that and we got the regular defense in there.
So we got three big bodies in there.
Yep.
Able to stop them.
I think they only got like a two-yard game.
And then third down, we allow Cooks to get, what, is it, 13?
Yep.
Okay.
first down it's a run or one
and then they end up getting a false start
which put them behind the chance
I think it was like second and 14
they did a little swing pass
and third down I think it was
echoes you know he
he knocked the ball down
they end up you know they end up
going and having to punt the ball
and they didn't
you know we didn't stop them
they stopped themselves well
you seem to be like oh it's been
but don't break and I'm like no bro
I'm tired of bending.
No, I feel you.
I feel you.
Wasn't it not on the first drive when we got the pick?
No, dude.
I think that was the play where he just jumped in the air and knocked it down.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
I got my, I got my shit a little fuck.
My bad, my bad.
But, no, you're right.
That was, that was it.
Because he actually made the interception on that.
He made the pick.
That was the other one.
He fell into it.
Yes, yes.
Because the receiver stopped running on that one.
he had kept running, he would have went on head, and he would have just, worst case,
it might have been a, you know, a breakup or whatever.
So we end up getting the ball.
He did a good job when I, Eckles stuff.
Oh, no question.
You know what I'm saying?
No question.
We like to say when you don't do it, we're going to let you know.
When you do what you're supposed to do, boom, that's how you look at that zone.
Yeah, he actually caught it.
He stopped it from hitting the ground and all that.
Yes.
So that's good.
I think D.K. got out there.
The first one, we hit him on a short one.
He went for eight.
Yes.
I believe Warren ended up.
Picking up the first down, I believe it was, was it the next play or two plays later?
He went second down.
He got like right to the line and then they said like the inches, he ran it again.
Okay.
And then we had like a two-yard loss on the next plate.
81 ain't touching nobody, bro.
Yeah.
Like, second, it was a screen and third down.
It was a nice throw.
He just, he just couldn't make it.
He couldn't, yeah.
That was good defense.
Tadavius White was rolling in his face.
And that's, but that's the other thing, too.
I love Austin, but, like, is he your number two?
If that's going to be on number two, that's not a, that's not, you got to make it.
You got to make it.
I'm looking at T. Higgins, T. Higgins going to make that.
He's going to, he's going to look, right over top of his head, like a usual catch.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got to make that.
We end up hunting the ball.
Uh, Buffalo get back out there.
I think it was cooks for eight.
Yeah, cooks for five.
And then the first.
And then the first.
Yes, and then we get through the first down, and David's,
got him 15.
Yes.
95 gets cut off, dude.
Like, the next play,
he, like, got tossed up out of there almost.
Yeah, that's the one.
And 94 got blocked by the tight end, bro.
He got almost double reached to one of the tight end blocked him.
And, of course, the D.Bs, they didn't come down the field.
Like, when you're playing in that nickel stuff,
like your D.Bs have to come field, dude.
They get to go out yards on that.
You got to, like, Mike Hilton, you got to be ready to shoot.
You got to be ready for that.
tackle because especially if it's a run-heavy team, you've got to be ready to reach a game.
Why are we in that defense?
I know, I know.
I feel it because right there, that's not a good.
We need to be that, that did be another backer.
Or like you said, big linemen in the jump.
Yeah, and then the next play, you see, they go to run to Cam.
Cam actually hits, separates, holds his gap.
Yes.
Can't make it there.
Herbert comes through.
He makes the play.
That's how it's supposed to fill out, okay?
The next play, they end up getting.
the fall start again, which sits behind the chance.
By helping us out.
We need.
Helping us out.
I believe another screen.
Third and long, we got some pressure to him.
And I believe it was fourth down.
They tried to get us to jump whatever they couldn't.
And they punt the ball.
Yes.
We get out there.
Yeah.
It was, I mean, at the beginning of the game, at the beginning of the game, we got stops.
You know what I'm saying?
We stopped them.
Good defense.
We stopped them.
Good defense is.
not the word to say.
Stopping them is the word to say.
Stillers get out there.
We go three and out.
We just missed, I think, Wilson on that third down.
That's a bad ball.
I mean, he's one and one.
He had him beat.
You know what I'm saying?
He had him beat for sure by a good two steps.
Yeah.
How to hit that?
That's three and a little.
I mean, you know, you can't hit them all.
I understand.
Man, you got to hit one.
We can't afford to, right.
We can't afford to miss stuff like that.
We ain't hit none.
You know what I'm saying?
But the defense comes out after.
they force a three and out.
That's, you know, that's good.
Stillers get back out there.
I think we got like a 12-yard run on second down.
And then we get stopped again.
We punt the ball back to him.
Yep.
Second down, Cooks, he goes for like 13,
Cook goal for 13.
Yep.
And then Allen scrambled up out of that for six on the first down.
Mm-hmm.
I believe the next two plays they were able to pick up.
the first down running the ball.
Yep.
And then Herbitt.
Hey, he comes through and makes a play.
We recover it.
Bro, Debo, that's just still, like you said, not good,
but they're not scoring any points.
They're not getting on the board at all.
So we could be mad at, like, the crack replaces, you know what I'm saying?
People need to, dudes are still getting tossed out the way.
That's not happening.
But zero, you know what I'm saying?
We still get a pull.
Okay, boom, back to the, first play.
First play, we hit.
DK, 14. That's great. We get the second down. We get a short pass to gain well. He takes
it 17. Yes. That's great. I think we first in goal at like the eight. We end up picking up
like seven. The little screen to warn. Yeah. And then third down, we score. It's seven nothing. I'm
feeling good. I ain't going to lie. Bro. We in the sweet turn. I ain't going to lie. We turn.
We turned people, no lie.
We had that, though, like, yeah.
I was turning.
I ain't got a little bit.
I'm turn.
I'm turning.
I ain't going to lie to you.
I got a lot of it.
Okay.
We get back out there.
The defense get back out there.
And we're in nickel again.
14 yards on the first down.
Like, dude, you, why are we in nickel?
I don't understand.
You got these D.Bs thinking that they go come down here and fill this thing.
The reason why this is why.
This is why.
The reason why we're in nickel is because they have three receivers in the game.
I understand that, but they also don't have their starting tackles.
You saw what they were going to do.
I feel you.
I'm just saying why they would do it.
But then when the game's going on and you're understanding, they're not throwing it to these dudes.
We only need to have two corners in.
You know what I'm saying?
Swap it because they're crack replacing.
They're making him, they're making a corner.
It's not used to getting down there having to react to that.
Now he's already worried about his coverage anyway.
Oh, 1,000 percent.
He's trying to make sure that it.
It is what it is.
And by time he does that,
it's already up on you.
You're a little late.
Yeah, he up on you.
For sure, for sure.
I'm with you a thousand.
Second down, Alan shook a sack.
I don't know how.
He scrambled for four.
And then they run, you know, for the first down.
I think the next,
he runs for the first down on the next play.
Uh-huh.
An actual run.
Like, we get to, I believe it was like third and eight.
They do a quick pass that picks up nine.
That's the one, two to the straight to the flat.
That's like a cover two.
looking at my man, Pete, you got to, you can't let, if you're the flap defender, you can never
get out widened by anybody. Nobody can out with you. You got to be the widest person out there.
So I see he was trying to look at the tight ends running up the field for like a seven route.
You got to be able to do both of those, but you got to start backing up and widening so you
can be coming down to that play. You know what I'm saying? Right. It's just, yeah, that's,
yeah, it's, it's automatic. Like, that's just what it is, dude. First down, they get a seven-yard
run because 78 is playing peek-a-boo with the running back.
You can't do that.
Stay in your gap and stay at it.
Anytime you switch back and forth, a running back like Cook is going to make you wrong.
And that's what he did.
He made him wrong.
Because both of those holes aren't yours.
You take one.
And then your lineback, you go get the other one.
Second down, Alan shake another sack and scrambles.
And then he converts the first down after that.
We lose queen on that play.
What I tell you, Joe?
I said it's about to get ugly
Yeah, he did
I say it's about to gogling
Next play
Four yards was it by
By cooks
It was cool
Forced the DB to tackle
He gave up
He did what he was supposed to do
But you're forcing a DB
To do something that's out of the realm
Of his play of his position
Down in and down out
Yes, they're making him turn
The bills are making him into a linebacker
That's what they're thinking is
making him into a linebacker.
The bills, just with that running game.
If they keep playing with that bunch right there.
Dude, they ran the same play like 20 times.
Brother, that's what I'm trying to say.
They kept running that cracker place.
And the very next play, they did the same thing.
Yes.
It's nine.
Because that was the, he went in, Joey, he's not, he's lined up, like, head up to his
tight end.
You need to get on that outside shoulder because soon as he starts cracking down,
if you don't get off of his tush and run down there and come right on
and close the space, you got cooked with all that grass.
You're in a disadvantage, my brother.
You know what I'm saying?
You got to widen out and get down there and get ready for it.
And like you said, one time he might try to shake you.
The other time he'd go drop his helmet.
You're going to drop it on him, for sure.
We're able to hold them because they end up getting a false start.
Thank you.
They're helping.
They're helping us.
They got a, you know, they got a kick to field goal.
It's halftime.
It's three to seven.
But, bro, we don't give up 125 yards rushing a half time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was the same play.
It's the same play.
After the half.
And Rogers.
get sacked into the depths of hell.
Like, knocks the.
Fumble recovery for a touchdown.
We're down.
Seven to ten.
This happened so fast, Deepo.
I didn't know what was going on.
It just,
I just,
I just,
I'm,
I'm,
I'm,
no, like I was in a horror movie, bro.
You did.
I was like, no.
I'm like,
do I just hollered at?
Yeah, take, okay.
We get back out there.
I think it was like second to 11.
They,
uh,
your boy,
Mason throw the ball into the ground.
We end up getting a first down because they get an unsports from like conduct for
15th.
They was looking out for us sometimes in this game.
Yeah,
the bills.
The bills.
That's what I'm saying.
And then second down,
Mason throws the ball to Buffalo.
Like he was actually trying to miss the receiver and put it over him so he could
tiptoe on the side.
line and catch it, bro.
It was three people over there, brother.
It was three people over there.
Three of the Bills players over there and one Mount Washington.
And we overthrew him.
How tall is he like $600?
He's a least heat, bro.
He got to be 6-8.
He got to be 6-8, 3-11.
No.
Buffalo get out there.
I think it was second down.
The tight end is sitting there so open.
He just lays down on the ground and catch the ball on his butt.
Yeah.
Again, first down, we're in nickel again.
He'd go Cooks for six.
Second down, still nickel.
Same play.
Same play, bro.
Same play for 31.
To the seven.
Same play.
We get them to fourth and one.
They scored a touchdown.
Yep.
They missed the extra point 16 to 7.
We come out there and go three and out.
Bills, get back out there, bro.
First down.
Seven.
Alan connects on the next one for 10.
Second and nine, Alan scrambles for 11.
Dude, this is the first time I've ever seen Jalen.
Jalen Ramsey's like body language just disappointed,
disgusted at what he's looking at.
Like, what's going on?
Like, then it's a 13-yard run.
And 50 is supposed to be this runstopper.
Like, he can't stop to run if they don't run it straight at him.
It don't look like he can move.
And again, Jalen is like what the freak is going on, bro.
It's another 10.
And on second down, when I see him make that tackle for that five yard, he just looks at the sideline, bro.
And it's like, he's like, what are we even doing, bro?
Yeah.
They end up converting on a force.
and two, and then I think it was second down, they get a short pass to Cooks, and he takes
it, what, 16, third and goal, Alan runs it in for the touchdown.
He debaubed his way in there.
Bruh, yes.
Like, they help.
Do I sound funny?
No, bro.
It's 20, it's 23 to 7 now.
We get back out there, and I'm just hoping something happens.
First, snap.
You can't make it up, Debo.
You can't.
We're able to move the ball a little bit because they're playing prevent defense.
And then when we get down there inside the 20, they say, okay, we're going to start playing real defense.
And we get stopped on fourth down.
It's turn her over on downs.
Buffalo comes out there, bro.
And then goes, four.
routine plays 72 yards they burn off nine minutes of clock and kick a field goal it's 26 to
seven the game is over over right we got issues okay we got big issues you go ahead stillers
have issues that i feel we are unable to
to fix with this current coaching staff, period.
The defense gave up last night.
And I personally feel like they didn't give up because that's who they are.
But they just feel like they cannot win with this defense because it is 100% schematically deficient, bro.
And as players in positions,
that cannot execute the role of that position.
And as much as I hate to say this,
I have never been a person that thought Coach Tomlin was a great coach.
I thought he was a good coach.
And I'll be honest, part of that is because when I was slated to be the starter,
when Joey left, he drafted one and two outside linebackers.
and I was actually behind one of them for a minute, okay?
Mm-hmm.
But right now, we have coaches on this staff, and that's it.
And when I say coaches, I'm saying this as a coach is someone that tells you what to do.
And it doesn't matter if what they're telling you to do is right or wrong.
That's what a coach does.
And we have coaches, okay?
A good coach gets you to play to your potential.
And right now, the players we have on that team, I have seen play.
I know they can do it.
I have seen them do it.
And they're not playing up to their potential.
And a great coach, a great coach, a great coach gets you to play beyond your potential.
my potential for me as an undrafted free agent was a special teams player for life but keith butler
was my linebacker coach and he got me to play beyond my potential he was a great coach dick leboe was a
great defensive coordinator he got our defensive players to play beyond their potential
And right now, we can't even play to it.
So you tell me where there's a good coach on this staff.
Because right now, I don't see anybody playing to their potential.
Mike Domlin is in control of hiring coaches, okay?
And he may not be the one coaching the position,
but he is in position to hire the coaches to get,
the potential out of our players.
And right now, he has not put coaches in the position that can get the potential out of what it is
that we have.
Because I know what T.J. Y can do.
I know what Cam Hayward can do.
I've seen what Alex Highsmith can do, brother.
I've seen Jalen Ramsey, Patrick McQueen.
I can go on and on.
But I'm not seeing it.
Why?
Hi, I'm Dr. Pryonk Wally.

That helps people a lot, understanding that it's not just in their head.
We are breaking down the science, talking with experts, and sharing practical health tips
you can actually use in your day-to-day life.
From when to utilize and avoid artificial light to how to sleep better.
Everything you need to know about fiber and how to poop better.
How to minimize the effects of jet lag and how to stay hopeful in times of distress.

I'm Robert Smith.
This is Jacob Goldstein.
And we used to host a show called Planet Money.
And now we're back making this new podcast called Business History about the best ideas and people and businesses in history.
And some of the worst people, horrible ideas and destructive companies in the history of
Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like not having it at all. It's a very simple,
elegant lesson. Make something people want. First episode, how Southwest Airlines use cheap seats
and free whiskey to fight its way into the airline business. The most Texas story ever. There's a lot of
mavericks in that story. We're going to have mavericks on the show. We're going to have plenty of
robber barons. So many robber barons. And you know what? They're not all bad. And we'll talk about
some of the classic great moments of famous business geniuses,
along with some of the darker moments that often get overlooked,
like Thomas Edison and the electric chest.
Listen to business history on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Hey there, Dr. Jesse Mills here.
I'm the director of the men's clinic at UCLA Health,
and I want to tell you about my new podcast called The Mailroom.
And I'm Jordan, the show's producer.
And like a lot of guys, I haven't been to the doctor in many years.
I'll be asking the questions we probably should be asking, but aren't.
Because guys usually don't go to the doctor unless a piece of their face is hanging off or they've broken a bone.
Depends which bone.
Well, that's true.
Every week, we're breaking down the unique world of men's health, from testosterone and fitness to diets and fertility and things that happen in the bedroom.
You mean sleep?
Yeah, something like that, Jordan.
We'll talk science without the jargon and get you real answers to the stuff you actually wonder about.
It's going to be fun, whether you're 20.
27, 97, or somewhere in between.
Men's health is about more than six packs and supplements.
It's about energy, confidence, and connection.
We don't just want you to live longer.
We want you to live better.
So check out the mailroom on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your favorite shows.
And I go back to this.
2013, I went to Cincinnati, bro.
Okay?
And I played in a four-three defense.
The defense did not fit me for my potential.
what I was capable of.
And because I was not a player that fit that scheme, okay?
That didn't work for me.
Right now.
Right.
And right now, we have a lot of players that are not fit for the scheme that we run.
The interior defensive linemen have to hold up to the run because we're supposed to be a three, four defense, bro.
which means the linebackers are there to make the plays,
but they can't make the plays
if the D-line is in their lap half the time.
Okay?
Something has to be done, bro.
And I know the Steelers historically don't move on from coaches.
But I think it's time that history be made
because right now, the only history we're making
is being the worst Pittsburgh Steelers team
statistically almost in the history of the organization.
And when I think about this, bro,
and you go back and you look at the chief,
Art Rooney, Sr., where he took this franchise from and two,
and then Dan Rooney continued the legacy
and to see it,
where it is now is incomprehensible bro the legacy of the 1970s still curtain defenses to the blitzburg
defense of the 2000 2010 and to see what it looks like now is unbelievable are we going to be
the Dallas Cowboys where every year the fans talking about
about we them boys and we go
win the Super Bowl. But
you ain't never been in the Super Bowl
in the last 30 years.
Joe.
I'm going to be a
stiller fan for life, bro.
But I like
to be a stiller fan
that believes we can win
a game and doesn't just
hope we can win a game.
And right now,
I don't lost hope.
Damn
Debo
Oh
Bro
Damn
Debo
Like
Because I'm not
Look this is what I'm not
I don't want to say
Nothing crazy
Because then I want you to crash out
I want to say
What can I say right now
Honestly Debo
To support
For support
I'm just asking
As a friend
Bro I don't even need support
Bro I just need
I just
I don't know what I need
I need something done
You need something done
If we don't do anything
We are saying
we are okay
with what is going on,
what has been going on.
So this is what I'm going to tell you to,
Debo, exactly what you're saying with the coaching part
is I understand that wholeheartedly.
Like coaches can make me,
I've had terrible coaches
where I'm like, you're not helping me at all.
You're actually harming my,
you're not making me any better.
You're not, you're kind of putting confusion into my head.
You're not, you're making me think twice.
And that's what's going to slow a player
down quicker than anything.
If you don't know what, like, no, you got a great coach that's going to teach you technique
that's going to teach you where you need to be, where your eyes need to be, and teach you
the, what's the word?
On nuances, what's the word?
Nuances.
There we go.
The nuances of your defense.
So when you got like a really good coach, like he always, like when I had, I say, who had
out there, AG, Aaron Glenn, Aaron Glenn with my DB coach, played in the league, had 40,
something. That was Keith Butler to me, dude. I'm listening to that man. Every word he says
out his mouth, because at the same time, he's not telling me nothing that I don't think is
possible and nothing that he'd never done before. Exactly. So it's like, okay,
back, boom, Joe, you got to be able to this. And then if I don't do something, he's able to still
understand, recognize, and, like, talk to me. So those coaches, like, they can help you out
so much with slant, splits, telling you legitimately what's going to happen going into the game
with how to watch tape, how to prepare. You know what I'm saying? Really, the real pro stuff. Some
other coaches like they just really
and then when y'all say this to
your staff your linebacker
coach your safety coach
your corner coach you everybody
has to be speaking the same language
thank you doesn't need to be I know we're not
speaking the same language I
you're right
it's completely right Debo
and that's not going to work
because that's not
people are moving fast there needs to be
this is the way it's done this the way we're doing it
everybody sees it the whole defense
should be able to sit in the dam and the team
in a meeting and be able to cornerback know just what what's going on you know what's going on
when we play when coastal bow was there we we broke down we broke down defense as a unit
bro like you got you you got to see what who was doing what who was doing this dude that that
got separated into you know each each unit doing their own thing and now you know you get
the call out of oh that person should have did this and that no bro like let's let's go ahead and
break this down you know and you was even there
In Pittsburgh, where it's times where we may not even watch the film.
I haven't watched the film because maybe they don't want to call out who did something wrong.
Like, it's, dude, it's, it, it, like I said, I don't, I don't, I don't feel like this can be fixed with what we have now.
Being in that dad stadium yesterday, Debo, that was one of the saddest times I for sure have ever been in that stadium.
when they got the booing
renegade
I couldn't
I was you know how you get that
you know how you embarrass to somebody
I'm in the sweet like kind of low key
like damn no they're not doing this right now
like I'm looking around like no stop booing
but it is what it is
they really this is how it feels like
if you're not going to make a change
people aren't going to be like
this is what it is this offense does not looking good
the defense we're getting ran
they're ran for 200 and some yards on us
first downs and it's the same play
and when you look at it.
T.J. And when you listen to him saying, he's like, I've never been in the game where I know
they're running. He has no, he has nothing to. He don't, he, why can't you say anything? When
you can't say anything, it's things that you can't say. No, no, for sure. He's being a pro.
No. Anyway, Brian.
Yes, yeah. That, that was tough. Hey, man, let's get to, um, uh-oh. Spaghetti.
T.O.
Spaghettios.
You're talking about them browns.
I knew.
You're talking about them browns.
We're having over there and cleaning, baby.
Hey, listen, see how that perked me up real quick?
Hey, misery love company, don't it?
Misery love company.
Okay.
Respectfully.
You're funny.
Oh, it was a tough, it was a tough one over there for us, D, bro.
I'm not going to lie to you.
Yes, sir.
Long story short, I think it was mainly,
I want to, I don't even have to go play by play, for real, with the Browns game.
I really want to get to overall.
Overall.
Overall.
How you think, how you think Shador played overall?
Overall, I think he did still good.
He didn't play, like, he didn't play great.
You know what I'm saying?
He didn't play great.
But at the same time, he's making steps, making steps.
He's still going to be a star in quarterback.
I think he, you know what I'm saying?
A couple of passes that he overthrown, you know what I'm saying?
They could have put on the money.
I mean, I think, I think maybe it was one, bro.
I think it was really one that was like over.
One pass overthrown.
And then my thing is I just want him to stop stepping back in the pocket sometimes.
You know what I'm saying?
I think you could just step up in the pocket, do a little bit, a little bit better
pocket awareness.
But as far as him being able to be out there starting 1,000 percent.
He's looking good for me.
I think he can make decisions a little quicker in some situations.
That's, yes, a thousand percent.
What I'm saying?
But that comes with, you know, time with playing.
It comes with time.
So with me, I'm.
I'm loving what he's got going on.
I just need to keep working, keep grinding.
This is more on the special, like the special team sold on y'all again.
We can't, we're not good enough to do that.
You know what I'm saying?
Like our defense's going to be falling.
66 yard return to your 16.
Come on.
How was that going to help?
And then when we finally trying to get a chance, we muffed the joint at the 10-yard line.
Like, this is not going to help us win games at all.
So I think that's more.
We got to just clean up, clean up all.
at defense y'all keep doing what y'all got to do offense we got to run the ball it didn't help not
converting that fourth down either i mean you right there i think y'all was at the 30 32 something like
that they end up this is a crazy thing so the special teams returned that went to the 16 the turnover
which was a fumble which it was still would have been a turnover at the 32 and then the muff
punt at the 18 all those led to touchdowns that's 21 of y'all 26 points
Thank you, Deepo.
Because it wasn't like,
you know, our defense is solid.
They just not out there getting muddied,
but if you get put in these messed up positions,
something going to bend,
something going to give.
You know what I'm saying?
So I think with the offense,
if you can just clean that special teams,
just don't do those turners.
We have to play a lot cleaner.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, we don't have just that.
We can't out-talent you.
We got to be clean.
We got to not make mistakes.
We got to not turn over the ball.
And that's that we're going to keep it close.
And we're going to grind out these games.
It's not we're going to just blow nobody out.
We've got to stay tight with that.
Oh, yeah. I mean, you got, you got one good thing going for you.
You got a defense that's playing and playing at a high level, dude.
And ready.
Jerry Judy, he got into a little, I guess, confrontation with Shador right there on the sideline, you know, about whatever it was that was going on.
Like, do you like him having that energy for Shador?
No.
Do you like him not having that energy when he didn't have that same energy with Flacco and, uh...
You've seen 70s.
55 footballs fly over your head.
And now you want to get mad at Shador?
I'm like, bro, this is my whole thing.
You know what Shadoor's going through right now.
He's been a lot.
This is only his third game plan.
When Dylan was out there throwing ground balls, nobody was spazzing on this man.
Going up to him, talking to him crazy.
Like, I just don't, it just kind of rubs me the wrong way a little bit.
You can go haul at him.
You know what I'm saying?
You know he's trying.
You know he's trying to figure it out.
Other cameras are on him for show.
And knowing, you can get in the heat of the moment.
But I'm like, Judy, is it because he's,
over through the ball a little bit?
Like, he's sitting there trying to talk to you.
You notice a young quarterback.
You're a vetting the league.
You're his best receiver.
That's not going to help him in this situation.
I would just hope you could kind of take him more under the wing.
You had Dylan throwing you the ball in the dirt for a second place.
And we were not even coming close to you.
Not even coming close to you didn't fucking go over there and I didn't see the same energy.
You spazzing on him on the sideline.
You was letting him go talk to the coach and figure it out.
He's trying to figure it out.
That's just, it just gave me like, come on, bro.
Like, he's only his third and second.
game starting, you're his best receiver, you didn't do that when you were getting ground
balls previously, the person of the six games. That just does, it just made me not feel good.
Because I'm like Judy, I like Judy. Judy, you're a good dude. But you know what my young
boys going through? You know what I'm saying? So like, be there for him. If that was you the
whole time, if that's you, let that be you no matter who in there. If that's you. If that's not you,
if you can be, if you can show some compassion for Dylan, show my man some compassion.
That's all I ask. Yeah. Yeah, 100%. So they, they,
tried to get your door to, to say something.
I think we got the, I think we got the sound.
Let's play it.
Should I have those fourth and ones, those two fourth and ones that didn't work.
And did you like Kevin having the aggressiveness there, even backed up in your character?
I mean, first, that's a rude question to ask if I'm, if I think, you know, it was a great
call by my coach, you know?
You like the aggression.
If you like the call, like, do you like that?
I like being out there playing.
So, so whatever that comes when it comes.
with, you know, like, you know, we're not going to be here in every point figure out
no coach or do anything like that, you know, that's extremely disrespectful and that's not
even in my place.
So I'm thankful for being out there, honestly, and I'm thankful that he trusts us as an
offense to be able to go out there and be able to execute.
Do we execute?
No, we didn't.
But, you know, I'm just thankful that we have that trust.
You see, you see what he's saying there, bro?
You see what he's saying there?
He's saying, we didn't execute.
We didn't do.
that. I'm thankful. You know what our
responses was yesterday? We don't
know. Why? Because
you can't say nothing.
He did. He did the right thing.
We did the right thing. Our players did the
right thing. But why is it that
you believe they keep trying to get Shador to take
off, though?
Clickbait, Debo.
Clickbait. They try and go viral.
They know soon as Shador say something,
anything he does is viral.
And these Cleveland people, they know
they're going to get a sound bite. They're doing it
sound bite. They're trying to get him to say something and just get him in trouble or try to
have him against Kevin. Outside world, we know. We see how Kevin treats him. There's a good game
over there, Shadur. You know what I'm saying? Like, we don't have, he don't have to go out there
and say it. Everybody else is saying it for him. So if he's out there and like, does it, then it's
going to make it, oh, even more crazy. Shadour is really just trying to go out this thing and play
the quarterback position. I'm happy to be on the field. Thank you, Shadur. That was the most
perfect response to the question that buddy was asking because it's like at the same time,
I wasn't out there.
Now I'm geeked.
I'm out.
I'm on the field.
I'm playing.
That's the main thing is the main thing.
You're trying to get me caught up with the coach.
Y'all know what's going on with the coach?
You're like, y'all, do y'all think I was in the call?
I'm going to lead that to y'all.
I'm not, this not my position.
I'm just happy to finally be out there with coaches letting me play.
He knows my name.
I'm not about to sit here and talk trash about this man.
You tripping.
I don't think that's the, you know, you just can't do it.
Especially when you're playing on the team.
You know, even with, you know, Aaron, you know, I think he called out an unnamed, you know, receiver that I guess wasn't going to, to the meetings or, you know, you can't do that because now everybody's looking.
They want to know who it is, you know, even if that is the case, you know.
Do you know who it was, Debo?
I have no clue.
Do you have an inkling?
I have no clue.
I don't look at the offense.
I look at the defense.
Okay.
Who you think it was?
And I don't, just just going to say it.
I'm not asking you.
I think it was Smith.
I think it was 81, John, I just think so.
Because you see how frustrated he was when he threw the post on that second and goal.
And he ran a seven route.
Oh, he was spazzing.
You know what I'm saying?
And he's like, yeah, and there's some people, they run the road.
So I'm like this.
But, you know, from what I hear, you know, here and there,
I hear, hell, some of the coaches leave fast as the players do.
You know, I don't, I don't know.
I've never heard nothing like that.
I mean, the coaches are usually the ones that's there till they late.
Too late.
Not, not Coach T though.
Not Coach T, though. Not Coach T.
Not I'm not talking about Coach T, but I'm just saying, like, come on.
That's what, obviously you hearing the same thing I'm here.
Man.
You know, so.
I feel like we be in the same room sometimes.
I don't know what's going on.
But, I mean, again, coaching.
Yeah.
good coach
I just
good coach
great coach
bad coach
no just a coach
a bad coach
go tell you
the wrong things
to do
I don't think
we got no
bad coaches
we got coaches
we got coaches
I don't know
well again
like you said
we hear things
and they're being
told different things
for the same
assignment
like different coaches
so is that just
purposely
telling you the wrong
thing or just not know knowledge of the whole understanding of it yeah it would have to start
from the top and i would just the coaches got to buy in to whatever they're they're trying to do
you know what i'm saying like everybody has to be teaching the same thing if they're teaching
something that they don't like and the other coaches like this man i used to do it like this
where i'm from so like i'm like this that's how you're going to have the team jacked yes
and i say that's what i remember because i'm not no disrespect my the db coach i
had coach scratch i love them to death but they
would always talk about what they did in penn state i'm like
nobody gives a fuck what y'all did a ben state no
we're right here right now no that's what get us beat i don't care
what they did you know what i'm saying so like if that's that that's real
life you got to have all your coaches staff bleeding together this is what like
if your defense line coach a has to go in a no matter who tells you it
here a is a that's all so like we don't have that it's confusion
Telling you.
We're just confusion.
There's just disruption.
There's gray.
You can't have gray.
There's gray.
There's so much gray.
It's white.
It's too much gray.
It's like, yeah, that gray, no, man.
What are we doing here?
What color is that?
Black or white?
That's great.
That's great.
Oh, no.
Oh, I got, this is great.
This is a couple grays.
Dude.
Man, yeah.
Shelby Harris over there.
He said,
Joe Jennings.
He said, I'm going to.
I'm surprised that nobody punched him in his jaw yet.
We've got the sound for that.
Take off.
This was a great one.
He's a hoe, and I want that known.
Like, I see why he got punched him nuts.
Because that's, like, he says some things that you should not say to another man ever.
But, like, I don't respect it because you say that, then run behind your O line.
That's some real soft shit.
And I want that known.
I see exactly why they punch your nuts.
I'm surprised nobody punched him in the jaw yet.
So, uh, so apparently.
I guess he was talking about families, wives and kids and stuff.
And, you know, that's, I mean, everybody know that's off limits.
Like, come on, dude.
Wives, kids, that's crazy.
Like, what's the worst trash talk you allowed?
And what was off limits, Joe?
Honestly, bro, like you said, everything is mostly to go except for, like, kids and family.
You know what I'm saying?
Because, like, you're not touching me.
You're not doing nothing.
You're not going to hurt me.
I'm out here playing ball
you're probably wasting your energy
I can't breathe
I'm out here I'm a cornerback
If I'm sitting here trying to chop it up with you
I got to run a fade ball after fade ball
I'm trying to keep my breathing right
I'm trying to stay out here and be good
They don't stress me out at all
Like trash talking all that
But like when you start talking about family
Personal things like family and my kids
That's just it's off limits
At the same time
I'm not going to do nothing to you on the field
I mean that's still just words honestly
For me while I'm playing but
No I'm gonna I'm gonna keep
I'm going to keep it a buck.
Dude, if you had talked about my kids,
I ain't even going to say nothing to you.
I promise you.
You'll find them.
I'm a still on you as soon as the game over with.
I am going to still on you.
I'm going to try and knock all your fronts out.
I'm not going to say a word to you.
I'm just going to look at you.
Deservily so.
Mm-hmm.
Deservily so.
And as soon as you pop that helmet off,
I'm going to bomb on you.
I don't care if I got to get you walking through the tunnel.
You're going to catch him.
I'm going to catch you.
Yep.
I'm going to catch you.
Like, you can do all that, you know,
bitch-ass this and punk-ass-this, all that.
You know, that's normal talk.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, I'm lucky I ain't kill you on that play all that.
Yeah, yeah, all that, yeah, boo-bo-boop, all that.
You know, I ain't tripping on that.
So he's doing that.
He, like, legitimately has research then.
Bro, he didn't do research.
He's not, he probably calling names and all that.
You're calling the old lady, boy.
Right, listen, listen.
Oh, man.
I used to have a teammate, bro.
I used to have a teammate, bro.
I ain't going to say his name, bro.
He know who he is.
He know he is.
That boy would do research.
About them people, old ladies?
That dude would do research about girlfriend, all that stuff, man.
You know, he kept his ear to the street, man.
See, Dibo?
You were the fumbled on him.
You had a fumbled on him.
Listen, right.
He ain't talking about no wives, though.
This before so small media now.
Okay, okay.
And, you know, don't let it be, you know,
like some outside club to all that.
You know what I'm saying?
You got to...
Yeah.
You know, I'm hearing...
I'm hearing this out the corner of my ear.
I'm like, I'm hearing boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo, boo,
I can't tell you what it was saying, but he was saying something.
I'm like, he, what?
Who?
That one right there.
I'm like, oh, my God.
So I, you know, I'm not gassed in to it, you know?
Yeah.
People, you hate...
Brough, man.
Hey, and I ain't go lie, dude.
It had...
And he, like I said, he...
getting he getting real details this before the real social media and all that you know what I'm saying
like he getting details so he no he no he no he no he been there you know what I'm saying he's like right
oh now once you say something you know no anything after that is actually reasonable or
susceptible or a susceptible for him to believe because he knows you say something that you know
know no that you should no no yeah yeah yeah yeah dude it was it was throwing cats off I ain't going to
lie to you, bro.
Oh, no, that for sure.
No.
It was throwing cats off.
Dude, who was the biggest trash talker you played with her face?
Michael Crabtree and Anquan Bowdo.
Okay.
Yep, both of them.
I can't, me and Michael Crabtree, I still, I still don't like him.
You still?
I still don't like him.
But me and Anquah are cool.
Anquah cool.
He just go hard.
He's trying to block me all hard and stuff, but I can respect it.
Love of the game.
You know what I'm saying?
So, like, I sound just like, what's up?
Like, what's up?
And then we just started talking, going at it, saying crazy.
But no harm, no foul.
Crabtree was just, we and him were sponsored by Jordan together.
We was two Jordan athletes.
And I thought it was going to be cool.
Crabtree, man, when I first met, he was like this.
You can't guard me.
I said, oh, like that.
I said, I'll strap you.
So then from that point on, every time we're seeing him, we just don't rock with each other.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'm like, dang, bro.
You just going to walk up to me, tell me, you can't guard me.
I'm like, damn, no high, no what's up.
Yeah.
Just they can look at me down.
Yeah, big game on this, though, bro.
I guess the Titans running back.
Julius Chestnut says the Jaguars kicker,
Cook, he threatened to kill him.
Like, hey, Joe, what's you doing if the punter start talking crazy to you?
Yeah.
Look, he's going to get cracked back.
He's going to get cracked back.
I'm going to hit him like Sean Taylor did.
Straight up.
Brough.
You can't do that now, though.
I'm gonna, look, he's gonna get crackback, though.
He's gonna, I'm gonna have to hit the punter, bro.
Not crazy, like I'm just trying to block him.
Right.
Not too hard.
I don't even know if I could take it serious.
It depends how he said it.
But look, what is he gonna do?
But that's what?
Like, how did he say it, though?
Like, you know, that's in his face, too, though.
Like, like, I'm gonna kill you just like, for real.
Like, right.
Did you mean it for real?
You know how to say?
Yeah, I kill you.
But like coming across the middle, like, I took your head off.
Man, my head's not really coming off.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, you're the punter talking about you go kill somebody.
Like, for real, for real?
That's what I'm saying, bro.
What kind of is?
Is he affiliated?
Right.
That's what I'm saying.
I've got to check.
I got to make sure.
Hold up, now.
Check is bad.
Listen, man, that got to be, they got to be like the most disrespectful thing ever.
The punter threatened to kill you?
Bro.
The fact that you threatened to kill me as a punter?
How did they get on the field?
Was he, uh, was this special team?
It had to be on some type of special teams play, bro.
That's the only time that's on the field.
Or unless it was pregame, he went out of a smack crazy.
No way.
Bray.
No way he did that.
Yeah, I don't.
I don't know, bro.
The fact that he threw.

And now we're back making this new podcast called Business History about the best ideas
and people and businesses in history. And some of the worst people, horrible ideas and destructive
companies in the history of business. Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like
not having it at all. It's a very simple, elegant lesson. Make something people want.
First episode, how Southwest Airlines use cheap seats and free whiskey to fight its way into the airline
business. The most Texas story ever. There's a lot of mavericks in that story. We're going to have
mavericks on the show. We're going to have plenty of robber barons. So many robber barons.
And you know what? They're not all bad. And we'll talk about some of the classic great moments of

Ain't no punters out there just talking
ruthless and crazy like that,
and run up on you.
Bro.
Tate, hold on.
Did he play for the Jags?
Jack Warner?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I'm telling you, he must have some
Goon teammates and some people that he really trust.
Nah, bro.
I don't care who you trust, bro.
You know about talking, you a punter?
What you go do?
Kick me?
That's what I'm saying, Deep.
You go kick the ball at me or something?
No, he might got five.
Like, huh?
He, is he, you never know.
A punter could still be.
Did he say I'm, you know, I'm going to the trunk?
I said, I'm going to be back.
I'll be a going, no.
No, I'm going to kill you, like, right here, right now, on the field with my bare hands
and my kick.
Like, I mean, he might be able to kick the shit out you, though.
I ain't going to lie now.
You go ahead and catch you across that midsection.
Oh, he'll put you down for a while.
He'll put you down for, yeah.
He might grab a couple ribs now, puncture a lung.
For sure.
Surgery, for sure.
I don't know.
He's going to take you out.
Oh, my goodness, dude.
The Broncos went on ahead and beat the commanders in overtime, dude.
27 to 26.
And they did it.
But your boy, what's his name?
Bonito.
Yeah, Benito.
Benito.
He blocked the overtime two-point conversion.
Swatted that thing down, bro.
They went for the two-bun conversion for the win.
I mean, what they got to lose.
Yeah, you're right.
The gang?
It's overtime.
Like, you could go into a tie.
And it was going to just tight.
That's worse.
I'd rather win
We'd have been out here all day
All day
We could have just left the zero zero
And just right
And be like, yo, let's just call this
Right now before we even step out here
Yep
Let's forfeit this thing
Let's call it let's call it
Let's call it a straight up tie
Like
Is there
Is there any worse way to end a game, bro, than a tie?
No
No
A thousand, but we lose
Lose for show
Lose worse
Tye, I'm just pissed off
Because I'm like this
I need to do something
Like how
I'm unfigured out
Like I came in here
We've been fighting
For a hour
For three hours
And there's a draw
Like I don't like draws
We gotta have a win
A minute
Hey somebody got to win to lose man
Somebody got to lose
We've been here too damn long
I've been sweating
I've been fighting for my life
And you're gonna tell me
I'm out here fighting for my life
And you're gonna tell me
Up even
even let's go on head we go call it nah we go we go sit here and play until the morning if we
we're going to shoot for it we got to shoot for something some some got to get past competition
something field goal you know what whoever can hit the goal post longest field goal longest field goal
I can win the tie longest field goal or I can yeah yeah yes yes yes yes yes see that's longest field go
or 50 yards I think they just went 18 innings in baseball and one of them playoff game
18.
That's too long.
Somebody got win,
somebody got to lose.
No, no.
Somebody definitely got to win.
Somebody got to lose.
Somebody got to lose.
Listen,
you got a choice to make then.
It's either,
hey,
go ahead,
let them win
because if we keep playing longer,
hell,
you might have a short week coming up.
Maybe you did this on a Sunday.
You got a Thursday game.
You got a Thursday game.
Hey, listen,
let's talk this up, man.
Then it too.
Hold on, guys.
Yeah.
Hey, we already...
For real.
We already got issues, man.
Damn.
Yo, what do you, what do you think of Denver's chances of, you know, winning the Super Bowl?
No.
Nope.
Nope.
I ain't got nothing.
Nope.
I ain't got nothing.
Why?
Why you say that?
I'm just...
I'm not...
I like Bo.
But I just...
don't know.
I like bow, but I just don't know.
And then the receivers are cool.
They're a good team, but Super Bowl, I just don't think that they have enough to do it.
I just don't.
Yeah, I ain't going to be.
I feel the same way.
Like, you got to have something on offense or your defense has to be, like, just outlandishly, like, great.
And it ain't, it ain't that on either side.
Like, you just went into a dog fight.
Right, with Washington.
And Marietta.
Right.
Like, not even the whole squad.
Right.
Not even the whole squad.
Also, that could be a situation where, hey, they plan down.
Maybe they ain't planned up to, you know, the, you know, potential they could play.
But it's a lot of these games that's just, like, just close.
Yeah.
It's just too.
I mean, the good that they winning, you know what I'm saying?
I'm not mad at their team.
I'm glad.
Like, you can, you don't have to.
And you don't get style points in this league.
No.
But just for my personal preference, I'm like, Bo, he's just too iffy for me.
You know what I'm saying?
So his consistency ain't there.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would agree with you on that one.
I would agree with you on that one.
Joe, you know what time it is, but-
Come on, man.
Play or fade.
All right, Joe, you know how it works.
Yes, sir.
I made my line up for my picks for tonight's Monday night football game.
You either play my lineup or you faded and you tell me why.
So right now, this is my lineup, brother, okay?
I'm going with Drake May, Diggs, and Henderson for more.
I'm going for more because New York is the 30-year-ranked defense.
Drake May is playing exceptional ball, okay, and Stefan Diggs will be a recipient of that ball.
Yes.
As long with that, Henderson, he is going to be going up against a 32nd, dead last, Russian defense.
Now, I also am going more on Jackson.
and dark. Because I think New England will get up head, get up big, and in trash time,
they'll be to prevent defense, and he'll get some throws in there that won't affect the game,
but it will give him more. Yes. Debo. What are you going to do, brother?
I'm going to tell you this right now, when I was first looking at it, I was thinking about playing it for show.
only when I was thinking about fading
was maybe the dart
because I'm like I don't know
I don't know what they're going to do
but your explanation my brother
those trash yards
they might be getting smacked
and those little prevent
little checkdowns
he might get 65
just on something like that don't matter
but one drive don't matter
for us we need it
65 we need every one of them yards
so I'm gonna go ahead and play
with my dog
yes sir listen that's that's the right thing to do
Look, make sure y'all download the app today and use the cold Debo Joe for $50 in lineups
after you play your first $5 lineup, okay?
Tell your mama, your papa, everybody here.
Tell them all.
Everybody need to know.
Everybody.
Everybody.
Everybody love me.
Everybody love me.
You know what I'm saying?
With your doggie.
Joe, let's say we got some super chats.
Yes, they do.
Ooh.
Oh.
Who, whoever, Debo, go ahead, take off.
Yo, we got, what is it?
Convent, Convent Life, 7-9, 73, donated 50.
Shout out.
50.
Covenant.
Covenant.
Covenant Life.
Sevent-nine.
7-3-9-7.
7-39-7.
$50, man.
He said Rogers hasn't thrown a hell marriage.
This is covenant life that said this, right?
Yes, this is coveted life right here.
He said, he said Rogers hasn't thrown a hell, Mary, since Jesus rose from the dead, bro.
Arthur Smith brought the church curse from Atlanta and that Tomlin needs to retire.
Yes.
Just go.
Hey, I'm not saying anybody needs to retire, but what we are getting here from Mike right now is not conducive to what the Pittsburgh Steelers are used to and what this lineage legacy of the Steelers organization is.
you know this is not what these 70s letters want to come back to this is not what guys in my era want to come back to you know this is not what the fans want what what are the fans going to have once they get older you got the 70s you got the you got the 2000 2010s they got something to go back to what what the young generation that's coming up now got to go to look at I mean at
at what happened before they were even thought of,
before there was a thought swimming,
and that is sad?
This is ridiculous, man.
Yeah.
If we don't do anything, we are saying that what is happening, it's okay.
Yeah.
And, Debo, I have never in my life, like with Coach Tomlin,
I've always just thought about, like, no, like, man, no,
never getting rid of Coach T.
But when you think about it outside end,
when you look at listening to that stadium,
And when you're thinking about the fans,
when you're thinking about the belief, like, what's going on, for real?
Sometimes it's not retiring, but even the coachee, coach he's a,
it may be a different place, maybe.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, he's not the worst, but like, just the change is something because.
Something has to change.
Something has to change because it's the,
it's not, it's not, it's not having, still is not having hope is not good.
Like that's the, my hope is going.
That's what I'm saying.
And that's not really something that I'm used to seeing from the stillers.
No. Like, what do the fans have to look forward to on a Sunday now? This is a blue-collar town. People work hard. They go and they grind. And on Sunday, you get to go out there and you get to root on your Steelers and you get to see and let your frustrations out because you feel as if when you're watching your defense out there and they're punishing people, that's you punishing people because you've done putting all this work out here all week. And now you go there and you get let down and you get beaten.
down even more, and you've got nothing to go back with, but more of nothing.
That's what we're looking at.
That's why fans are frustrated.
They don't went all week, being stomped on, stepped on, and then we get out there on Sunday,
and we get stunked on and stepped on.
They feel that with us.
You ain't lying.
I said I wasn't go get, I didn't go raise my voice.
I ain't go do that.
Yeah, you did way better than I expected today, though, Debo.
That's a fact.
We got another super chat, too.
Go ahead.
Take off, man.
What's this?
L-Y-N-C.
Lynch.
Lynch.
L-N-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-A-L-L-L-A-1-9-1.
Donated $20.
Number six.
Personal fouls every effing game.
If she's talking about Queen,
is he number six?
I don't know.
Did he get a personal five?
I don't know.
I didn't see one, did you?
I didn't think so.
But she's on about just personal files every eff in the game.
Do we get, our team get personal files you're probably talking about?
I don't know.
I guess Cam got one, so.
Yeah, Cam, because that was, yeah, dude, come on.
Talking about, talking about, my man.
The quarterback needs you in the stomach.
Like, man, how many times you don't hit somebody in their stuff, man?
Like, that's what we're talking about, excuse me.
That's what we're talking about, bro.
We're not talking about how they just went out here
and just really like dog-
Did what they needed to.
Like that penalty don't even matter.
Like, just let it, like, let it ride, bro.
I'm sure you can find plays out there
where you don't did something that you got away with.
Like, everybody done did something,
but that's what we're talking about?
I don't know, man.
It's this.
Who's your trucker,
donated $5.
A-Rod seems to reference last night
by the players not showing up for film study.
Is that normal?
Just do whatever when the meeting's called.
So I don't know if it's actual, like, film study
that is, like, set up by the players or whatever.
My thing is this.
If it's something that's set up
that you have decided that you're going to do
either as a group or as a offense or whatever,
you need to show up.
Yes.
Period.
It doesn't matter.
I know.
And then when he's saying, is that normal?
I would say, no.
No.
No.
I'm not a person that watched film as much as everyone else.
I watched film enough to get a understanding of what they did.
I didn't want to get stuck into saying, okay, it's this, is that,
and now I'm jumping things that I shouldn't jump.
Um, right, because I don't, right, I don't, I don't look at something and got that.
What I did a lot of is I just studied the person that I was going against.
What, how did they set when they would pass block?
If they gave something away, you know, I keep references in this.
Like, we had a running back that we went against in Buffalo.
And dude, every time it was a run, he lined up at fullback.
He was fullback.
And if he did his hand like this, we knew it was a run.
I don't know why he did.
Yes, but it was a hundred percent.
And we knew it was either Army Air Force, if he didn't do that, it was a pass.
I think it was just a twitch that he got to get ready to block.
And I'm talking about just literally, you know, hand on the ground, this one here,
and this hand that's rested right here like this, he would just.
Roll the, dude, just like wave it.
And we like, yo.
And somebody, I didn't see it.
Somebody else is like, yo, look at the running back.
hand the fullback look at his hand if he's in it and he do this it's a run his mind he getting
ready to file on somebody right he getting ready oh i'm getting ready yeah tell him on yourself
are we got it on yourself oh eric horn 101 donated five dollars the problem is these young heads
don't have no o gs to show them what not to do i would say with this you you
I wouldn't need to be in the meeting room because I don't think Leeland Ramsey would be trying to tell nobody no wrong stuff.
He's trying to give them the good.
He's trying to give them the, he don't want to be out there looking crazy.
Again, though, I'm trying to give you this as a player, but what your coach's saying?
Who are you going to listen to?
That's what I'm saying.
What are you going to listen to?
When Jaylon's getting the, I know for sure.
Because at the same time, when you do come in there, Jalen, you will want to come and hope that everything, all the knowledge you know,
it's all good, but what we do here is how we do it here.
You know what I'm saying?
Like your defense is all the way that it was done in Jacksonville or in the Rams.
That's all good.
All that knowledge is good because, you know, football,
you've seen a lot of football before.
But this is the way that we run the stuff here.
You know what I'm saying?
Like all, just the different checks, the different motions.
I know, I know this.
You have coaches, like you said,
hey, this is how we did it at so-and-so.
Well, that's how you did it there.
You're not there no more.
We're not there.
Yes.
You can't tell me as a linebacker how I need to take on a block every play because every person I go with isn't going to try and block me the same way.
Yes, I know where I need to get.
And in that scheme to get to my position, I can take that on however it is that I need to take it on.
The same thing when you go to Big one, receivers, how receivers release.
You can't tell a receiver
He has to release a way every time
Because that corner that he's going against
Maybe so skilled
That ain't going to work
No
They have to bump step
And not even take off on the first one
You gotta let that man
This corner is somebody that got hands
And he'll put him on you
If you go like you're just trying to take off
From the line
And I think we have too much of that
That is just coaching
It's coaching
And they're trying to make
Either players stick to
straight coaching and not having that nuance, like you said,
of having someone that played the position in the league that did it.
Why?
Automatic buy-in because now I can see what you're doing.
Oh, yeah, you're going to have to do this.
Coach Bus was a prime example, dude.
He's like, okay, look, when you're doing this,
I understand it's going to be hard.
But if you're able to maybe try this, you can do it.
Big thing that he told me, do, is stack your cleats.
high low high why because when the ground gets slippery especially at where we play at home
you need to stagger it because if they're all sitting at the same level you don't dig into the
ground dude i stop slipping like up to 70 80 percent of the time bro i'm like oh cool he gave you
the same thing like with okay you you got you got you got to play uh you got to play a you got to play
head up on the tight end okay you got a two got but you got to see gap so what i'm going to do is
I'm going to play the C-Gat light, which means I'm not going to step into it.
I'm going to play it.
If he steps that way, I can get to it, but I'm already lined up, head up.
I'm worried about him hooking me and just cutting me off and making the corner short.
Okay, play it like this, think about this, and just read him.
Back off a little bit.
Why?
Why back off?
Because it gives you room to see what he's doing instead of trying to be up on him closed.
And now you can't see.
and it don't matter where he moved
because you're guessing.
Thousand percent.
That's good coaching tips.
That's what coaches will give you.
We're missing right now on this staff.
And we've been missing for a while.
You ain't line, Dee.
J-Rock 2-1-3.
Debo will be a better coach.
Debo will be a better coach
getting these dudes ass pause.
