Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an iHeart Podcast. So what happened at Chappaquiddick? Well, it really depends on who you talk to. There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young Ted Kennedy drove a car into a pond. And left a woman behind to drown. Chappaquiddick is a story of a tragic death and how the Kennedy machine took control.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Every week we go behind the headlines and beyond the drama of America's royal family. Listen to United States of Kennedy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Ian Pfaff, the creator and host of the Uncle Chris podcast. My Uncle Chris was a real character,
Starting point is 00:00:43 a garbage truck driver from South Carolina who is now buried in Panama City alongside the founding families of Panama. He also happens to be responsible for the craziest night of my life. Wild stories about adventure, romance, crime, history, and war intertwine as I share the tall tales and hard truths that have helped me understand Uncle Chris.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Listen now to Uncle Chris on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Show me how good it can get today, God, and show the rest of the world what we already know. It can't get no better than being hella black, hella queer, and hella Christian. My name is Joseph Rees. I am the creator and host of Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian, a fully black, fully queer,
Starting point is 00:01:31 fully human, fully divine podcast from I Heart Media to Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jeff Perlman. And I'm Rick Jervis. We're journalists and hosts of the podcast, Finding Sexy Sweat. or wherever you get your podcast. down and he never woke up. But then I see my son's not moving. So we started digging and uncovered city officials bent on protecting their own. Listen to Finding Sexy Sweat on the iHeartRadio app,na go deep. We wish you, riding on our team. Got what you need.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Baby, won't you keep me company? Give me something to do when I get lonely. I got something for you when we get home. If you let me put it down. What's up? Hey, Portia P. Hey. Hey.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Hey. Hey, friend. How was your board? It was good. It had me a little drinky drink, a little burp, you know. It was pretty good. How was yours? Look at the tan.
Starting point is 00:02:57 You see the tan? I did see the, I saw the tan and I saw the close friends too. A little thump thump friends a little something a little something As well, it was good. It was good. You know, I took the girl took the kids we went on vacation Had a good time ate a lot And now i'm stuck at the airport in the lounge You're very she's the lounge
Starting point is 00:03:23 it Been very With the lounge. She's the lounge. It's been very old. Say I'm at the lounge. With the lounge. Where's you going? What is you doing? We're headed back home. Okay. I thought you just said. We're headed back home.
Starting point is 00:03:31 But you know I couldn't miss the podcast. I thought my girl was jet-setting on her way somewhere. A new destination. I mean I'm coming back. Now it's time to go. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I'm coming back. I brought a mission. I thought my girl was jet-setting her way somewhere, a new destination. I mean I'm coming back now it's time for a little bit R&R. I gotta you know focus on work Knock out things and then I got a flight to Houston on
Starting point is 00:03:57 Wednesday to meet my agents out there. We got a big event. Okay I'm busy. I'm busy. But you go and you open up the lines for me because I got I got real estate drama and I need you to. I got you. You know I got you. I need you to help me because. But the good thing about it is you're in a great situation. Not too many people. You know everybody want to be in your situation right now when you have bidding wars on one of your properties. But you know I don't like no static. Bidding wars just sound like a lot of static. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:04:37 They're gonna think I'm playing with them. Like I'm not playing with you. I promise you this offer just came through five minutes ago. I'm not playing. like, I got another offer, what you want me to do? And that's the thing, that's when people have to understand whether, okay, do I believe her and I keep my price where it's at or let me just bump it up a couple of dollars. Baby, I wouldn't even play them games if I didn't have no offer because I don't want to lose my offer. People who play them games, they strong people, those strong soldiers, and I ain't got it, I ain't finna lie to you, to lose my offer. People who play them games, they strong people, those strong soldiers. And I ain't got to, I ain't finna lie to you, I need my money. I know that's right.
Starting point is 00:05:13 But you know what, I'm proud of my girl. We're gonna have to go celebrate on you when she comes. Click, click. I'm finna be the censor of your lounge. Click, click. We're going on a little trip. a little trip, a little commission check. Listen, it's been so much going on, y'all. We back with another episode of Humble Bad Aids. We got my girl, Portia P in the building and myself. Of course, Alexis could not make it and Ashley is traveling from the Essence Festival. She actually
Starting point is 00:05:48 spoke on a panel. So my girl is it's a blind bag. Yeah, tonight. Listen, it's been hot over the weekend. A few weeks ago, we did speak on Cardi B and Stefan Diggs. And everybody was in support of their relationship. They was like, oh, Cardi B outside, she's having fun, hot girl summer. And I was all okay with that. My thing was, okay, Cardi,
Starting point is 00:06:20 you moving a little bit too fast. Don't post them on your main page because you know how things go in. I mean, Cardi said, if ain't no ring on my finger, you ain't going on the gram. And she doubled back. She doubled back.
Starting point is 00:06:33 She said, oh, he got that thing. He going on the gram. What is Stephanie doing to these women? I have not a clue. Okay, let's get into it. Cardi B and Stefan did. Cardi just unfollowed him, deleted all their photos together,
Starting point is 00:06:53 and suddenly Offset is back on Instagram live, grinning like he just won a Super Bowl. Listen, he having his time right now. So what's going on? Did she post too soon? And why do exes always seem to be lurking right when they knew boofumbles? We're talking petty timing and why posting your man in 2025 might be a bigger risk than ever.
Starting point is 00:07:20 So get comfortable. Call y'all a little something something because we're gonna get into it a little something So it was all over the blogs as we stated before Cardi B unfollowed Stefan Diggs, wiped her Instagram clean, any trace of their situationship is Gone. There's no spot of it. Is Cardi's photo purged the right thing to do or is it too extra? Because you know the Libras don't play. Cardi a Libra, I'm a Libra.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Oh, okay. No. We know. This is what I'm going to say. I think good for her because after you've been married and you've had a tumultuous marriage, a very problematic situation, a liability as she called it, you don't necessarily want to be attached to somebody like that. And maybe she just woke up and just decided that she was tired of seeing him on her gram,
Starting point is 00:08:15 whether they was still messing around or not. Maybe she just doesn't want that representation anymore. Maybe she just wants to enjoy her situation in peace because ironically, it's like if you don't post it, it's like it's not happening for most of us. If they don't see it, it's not happening. And even if it is, they have less to talk about. So now they can speculate if they still together or whatever, but it's not like,
Starting point is 00:08:38 it doesn't matter how impressive a woman is. It doesn't matter how successful she is. It doesn't matter what she has going on. The minute she's attached to a man, that's all they can talk about. And it could be a small part of her life. They could not even see each other as often as they want to see each other.
Starting point is 00:08:56 It could not even be that serious, but just the sheer fact that he's on her Instagram at all, it makes it look like a very, very serious situation. And maybe she just wants her Instagram to reflect her life and not this very small part of her life. Or maybe they broke up. Maybe she kicked his ass to the curb. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:09:18 It ain't nothing wrong with that. I mean, I was like that too. I ain't gonna lie. Like I was posting my man happy, this, that, and the third when I was like that too. I ain't gonna lie like I was posting my man happy this that and the third when I got in my feelings when we went through our little stage I was temporary break up I believed everything I don't want to see y'all ass on my page. Bye unfollow block do what I got to do to get gone but I feel like that's a legal trait but the thing about it is I feel like now I'm at a stage where I just won't post. You won't get all that. You're going
Starting point is 00:09:53 to stay on the story if I just put you on the story. And that's it because it's too much going back and forth. And I feel like it just calls more people. You already have a high profile when it comes to your fans and everything. It just calls more people you already have a high profile when it comes to your fans and everything it just calls more people to continuously be in your business yeah i wouldn't i wouldn't suggest that and i feel like somebody with that much star power like i can understand though because i'm a hopeless romantic so when i'm with somebody i'm so into them bitch i want to tell everybody okay i want to shout it from the treetops oh it's on the page
Starting point is 00:10:23 Okay, I want to shout it from the treetops. Oh, it's on the page. You got no money. No, I'm in love and I'm happy. Okay, so I understand that, but at the same time, when you're a star of that caliber, your piece is just so important and it has nothing to do with him being outside because I do think he'd be outside. But, you know what I mean? Just let your situation just be your situation.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And I feel like she'll be happier for it. Whether they're together or not, take that man off your Instagram. Because it's not the same as when men get a woman, their whole entire existence is not wrapped up in this woman that they're sleeping with. It's not the same thing. If we post a man, it's just like Cardi B and her new boyfriend or Stephanie, his new girlfriend. And you can't say like, she got plenty going on. We don't, but now she's somebody's girlfriend,
Starting point is 00:11:14 somebody something. And it's like, give it a rest. Let that lady have an identity. I feel like this too, because you know, it was a recent breakup with in her and offset was still having their, their beef, like, I don't think she fully was recovered and sometimes we do things, both men and women do things out of emotions they may can be over and done with the situation, but they feel like just, you know, moving too fast
Starting point is 00:11:43 doing things, just to feel like they're gonna get that. And I feel like sometimes we do those things and we post so quickly to try to get a reaction out of our. It definitely did come off like a little bit petty, but then also it could have just been, I don't know, I'm a big, big advocate for people doing whatever they need to do to heal. I do think that some stuff is toxic, but you know, in moderation, like you never know.
Starting point is 00:12:11 It's just like if you're in a relationship and you're void of affection or someone being sweet to you or someone being considerate, if you need a hug, bitch, go get a hug. And it could be as simple as that. It doesn't have to be a life-ruiner. It doesn't have to be, it doesn't have to be all of this. Like it could just be, she maybe just hasn't had fun in a long time. And I bet you he's fun.
Starting point is 00:12:34 She probably was doing more arguing than laughing. I bet you that nigga made her laugh. They probably eat all the time. But you know how it is when you get into something new. It's just the excitement, the butterflies. Every time when you get in something new, everything is just perfect. You having fun, that person is amazing.
Starting point is 00:12:54 You look past all their flaws. And then after the time has spent, the butterflies are gone away. Now you're starting to see the true traits. That's why you have to be cautious of who you take serious and see the true traits. That's why it's, you have to be cautious of who you take serious and put probably out there because you don't know if you're really meant for this person because right now it's just, it's fun.
Starting point is 00:13:14 It's all fun and games until you see all four seasons of that person. So now I feel like Cardi is starting to see if they did break up the real true colors of what yeah I don't think that she ever meant for I don't know if you ever meant for that to be a serious situation You want my cookies? So my son's not still my cookies. These are my cookies Okay, you can have a good Okay
Starting point is 00:13:44 You're welcome baby He's like my cookies. I didn't have nothing. No, it's just the cookies. You're welcome, baby. He's like, he's gonna buy cookies. No, thank you. Okay, baby. Okay, now they all gone. You see what I, go get your brother. Go to Crazy Tail Self.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Don't even leave me no cookies. You see my life? They on my trail. They said first of all, she was going for 15 damn it minutes. Where? Where has she gone? I can't even talk about Cardi. Can't even have me a little chit chat.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Anyways, girl. What did you say? We was talking about, um about in regards to Cardi and how she's moving back my kids tripped you up to am I they say I'm finna come everything this lady got today no I think that I think she just meant to have fun I don't know if it was I don't know you a Libra girl Y'all be falling in love and stuff. So We do be falling in love because we are a hopeless romantic
Starting point is 00:14:51 Like when we love we love hard and so it's like, okay, I don't have enough I don't put it and we're very quiet we can take in so much until we can't take in anymore Yeah, so I fit with me as a person like I'm going to love you. I'm going to love you hard. I'm going to hold you down. I may even take the bullshit that you bring until I can't take it no more. And then I had enough. Then I explode. And that's that's how I am as a Libra. I feel like a lot of Libras are like that.
Starting point is 00:15:20 But with Cardi, Cardi always expressed and she always from when I follow her, she's not secretive when it comes to her. Like she's open. No. And that's what I respect about her. Like she ain't hiding nothing, she gonna let you know what it is,
Starting point is 00:15:39 what she got going on, this is what it is. And that's why, like, there's no. So what happened to Chappaquiddick? Well, it really depends on who you talk to. There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young Ted Kennedy drove a car into a pond. And left a woman behind to drown. There's a famous headline, I think,
Starting point is 00:15:59 in the New York Daily News. It's, Teddy escapes, blonde drowns. And in a strange way, right, that sort of tells you. The story really became about Ted's political future, Ted's political hopes. Will Ted become president? Chappaquiddick is a story of a tragic death and how the Kennedy machine took control.
Starting point is 00:16:17 And he's not the only Kennedy to survive a scandal. The Kennedys have lived through disgrace, affairs, violence, you name it. So is there a curse? Every week we go behind the headlines and beyond the drama of America's royal family. Listen to United States of Kennedy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. My Uncle Chris is definitely somebody worth talking about.
Starting point is 00:16:44 He was the kind of guy that lived in a trailer with an ex-con and a retired stripper, left loaded machine guns laying around, drank a bottle of whiskey a night, claimed he could kill a man with his bare hands, drove a garbage truck for a living, spoke fluent Spanish with a thick southern accent, and is currently buried in a crypt alongside the founding families of Panama. Listen to the Uncle Chris podcast to hear all about him and a whole lot more. Wild stories about adventure, romance,
Starting point is 00:17:11 crime, history, and war intertwine as I share the tall tales and hard truths that have helped me understand Uncle Chris. This collection of stories will make you laugh, it'll make you cry, and if I do my job right, they'll let you see the world and your place in it in a whole new way. I can't wait to tell you all about Uncle Chris. Listen now to Uncle Chris on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network on the iHeartRadio
Starting point is 00:17:35 app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Show me how good it can get today, God, and show the rest of the world what we already know. It can't get no better than being Hella Black, Hella Queer, and Hella Christian. My name is Joseph Rees. I am the creator and host of Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian. A fully black, fully queer, fully human, fully divine podcast that explores society, culture, and the intersections of faith and identity. Listen to Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian to hear conversations about what it means to sound the way you look. I think what I've had to make peace with is that every iteration of my voice is given to me by God, and I love it. Books that validated our identity.
Starting point is 00:18:20 The library now for me is a safe space as someone who is writing books that they're trying to take off of shelves. And how we as black queer folks relate to our Christianity. Listen to Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Erin Welsh, an ecologist and epidemiologist. And I'm Erin Almond-Updike, also an epidemiologist. On our show, this podcast will kill you.
Starting point is 00:18:48 We cover everything from the biology of deadly diseases to the weird history behind them, all with a healthy dose of humor. Like the time we made a surprising discovery about scabies. When you look at pictures of especially these particular mites, they look more like tardigrades, like water bears than they do ticks. Absolutely do. Yeah. They look more like tardigrades, like water bears. Absolutely do. Yeah. They're kind of cute. Or when we used a classic movie reference to explain allergy tests. An allergist will inject teeny tiny amounts of the thing that they're allergic to underneath their skin. It's just like Iacane powder in The Princess Bride, but it works.
Starting point is 00:19:25 And our COVID-19 series was even added to the CDC Museum archives. So need I say more? New episodes drop every Tuesday on the Exactly Right Network. Listen to This Podcast Will Kill You on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Nothing, you see everything up front, what it is, what she show you is it is what it is so that's why it's like it's so believable like from his standpoint he's just with Cardi he's just having a good time it's it's it's nothing it's not it's whatever it's not that serious he's having a good time let him have a good time with her it's like she can't possibly be having a good time she just got up with somebody who doing the same thing Offset is doing. And he out here playing around on her and she's somewhere heartbroken
Starting point is 00:20:08 and somebody go check on Cardi. I don't think Cardi gave a damn. Honestly, I really feel like that lady is probably somewhere like, he think he getting his, I'm getting mine too. I really do feel that way. I don't even think that she would put herself in a position to be bound up and controlled and look at some feel that way. I don't even think that she would put herself in a position to be bound up and controlled
Starting point is 00:20:27 or look in some type of way. She just went through enough. I think LA was having a good old time and that's it. We got to get out of having a good time and acting act like you know posting like giving them they already have a spotlight but even giving them more spotlight of your life. Yeah, that's true. I agree with you. I feel like people need to heal but you know we need limits. We would maybe say sometimes you got to get somebody. Yeah, I feel like that does work but you got to be careful because then you know starts giving slave, you know Gotta get a little slitty slitty Unfortunately, you know, I didn't even get under too many that's a problem
Starting point is 00:21:25 My girls she trying to heal that hurt she trying to laugh again Fortunately, you know what I mean? Get under too many, that's a problem. It's a very big problem. I think my girls, she trying to heal that hurt. She trying to laugh again. I'll say, hey, hey, and you're stressed. Get your life back, you know what I mean? The best thing, and I see people promote her and saying, oh, she outside, I let her do her, but it's not healthy at all.
Starting point is 00:21:42 It really is. It's never healthy. And that's, it's speaking from experience. Like, you know, you go outside, you hang out, you may find somebody, they get your little rocks off or whatever, but you still have to come back to that moment. Yeah, it's plenty toxic. Never said it was, it's plenty toxic. It's very toxic.
Starting point is 00:21:58 It's not healthy at all, but hey, whatever gets you through. Sometimes you gotta get to the other side. I can't. I imagine that divorce feels like death. So. Break up just to break up someone that that you think that you were going to spend the rest of your life with, that you built a family with. That is hurtful.
Starting point is 00:22:22 I rebuke it in the name of the sun. We rebuke that. Uh, yes, it in the name and the Sun we rebuke that Yes Change it But I'll say I'll say that over there Like you need to sing your Whole song he was about to crash out saying your saying your little girl she came full song he was about to crash out he finna if it is something if it is like some crazy dramatic breakup that man
Starting point is 00:22:49 finna have his popcorn he gonna be on the internet like this you gonna be doing it he finna be yeah but but do you feel like it shows like they're not over each other when you still focus on your ex and what they going on and you're not completely healed and over that person that's how I feel definitely not I don't think so I also just think it's been too soon for anybody to be over anybody you know what I mean oh the new people getting more people involved in y'all topic stuff like just Yeah. And then a new person coming to the relationship thinking they got a trophy. Meanwhile you lay it up with this person and this person still thinking about their ass. Say that. Say that. Listen, you are in a lot of situations out there.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Before I got married and we broke up, we got back together. I remember I just I had to say a prayer and I said Lord, I'm so sorry to them people Both of them I'm so sorry to the people who got in the way Love because We had no business, you know, I'm so sorry to the sorry to them people sorry to that lady sorry to all of them we just did not have it together that we was really outside playing like that's not that's crazy and then just plumb just got back together quick like like, ain't nothing happened. Like, all right, bye y'all. I ran off, got married.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Craziness. Crazy. And did feel bad at all when you had me. Oh no, not no. I felt, okay, so after the fact, I felt, you know, because I do have a conscience, after the fact, I did feel bad at how abrupt it was, cause there was like, there was no weaning,
Starting point is 00:24:46 there was no, oh, I'm kinda, it was like, hey yo, this ain't gonna happen no more. Like it was very much, and I went off, started a family, I went and lived my life, and he did the same. So I did feel bad after the fact, because wasn't nothing wrong with none of them people. You know what I mean? It's just they just wasn't the right people
Starting point is 00:25:10 It was wrong timing and you wasn't ready to move on either one of y'all so I'm gonna watch why y'all like you're playing these dangerous Why y'all were out here playing dangerous games? Sorry to the people. That's all I could say That's it Well, thank God y'all have a beautiful blessed family. Praise God, but sorry to them people that's all I could say that's it. Well thank God y'all have a beautiful blessed family. Praise God but sorry to them people. So that's it. Listen when you pursue your dating I mean you can pursue you dating y'all are married do you own the come up or set yourself up for the breakdown? It's a set up. I feel like it's a setup, but it also depends on the timing and the situation.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Because some people can post and be happy, especially if the spotlight is not on them and it's good. You good. But I feel like with celebrities, it's a setup. You already, like you already, like I said before, you're already in the spotlight and people are looking, especially the people who don't like you. They looking for the moment where they can come in
Starting point is 00:26:15 and talk shit, oh, it didn't happen. You know, they didn't stay together. I wonder what happened, trying to dig and find their- I think it's a setup for anybody. Just celebrity or not, I think it's a setup for anybody. I love this new trend on TikTok where it's like, they're asking the question, do happily marry people? Are they gatekeeping their marriage?
Starting point is 00:26:33 And most of them are like, yes. They get on there real quick, they're like, yes, I'm happy. No, I don't want to talk about it and put the phone down. Because it is true. It's like, anytime you get on the internet and you happy about your love, or you get on there talking about your man and how he would never,
Starting point is 00:26:50 that man starts nevering like he's nevered before. The minute you get on there talking about this and all he's so this and we're so this, it's just, you just destined for embarrassment. And I really hate to be that person because I don't want to say I believe in the jinx because I believe in the Lord. But if there was a jinx, it would be that.
Starting point is 00:27:11 It would be, let me get on the internet and be loud about this love. Because the people. Somebody gonna come and look to prove you wrong. Find a way to prove you wrong. Absolutely, the amount of women in my married man's DMS
Starting point is 00:27:28 Acting like they never see me before Is It is crazy. Portia. Portia, I done seen women come up in my face that seen us together and still, like these people are- You've been through some very select type situations. They'll be in your face one day talking about,
Starting point is 00:27:59 put them on or can they join, how you get into this gym, whatever. Next minute trying to get in your band draws. I don't know exactly what you're talking about. She need to be throat punched. Why you gotta do that? I'm just giving scenarios. Of course, I'm giving you scenarios.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Yeah, sure, scenarios. Throat punched. All types of happens. You need to be throat punched. But I don't know why when you do show, you know, you're happy and you're exposed, why some people feel like, oh, let me, they want what you have,
Starting point is 00:28:34 or they feel like they can get a chance, or oh, this person ain't gonna be, watch this. I don't know why people have that mentality. It's a perversion. What do you mean? It's a perversion To That bad or to not even really want it, but just want to see if you can mess with it Yeah, that's crazy, you know keeping people off the internet, you know I'm saying you
Starting point is 00:29:02 And a watch and Are you gonna see are you gonna see the little wrist in the watch which watch you wear today? Let's do you you keep it up the sb. I go pieces together. They're gonna find that man They'll never find them they would never You're right I hope you're right. Don't post no, if you don't post no one of one, one of ten, don't post no, no exotic watches, you post some regular. Well, I mean, they don't do regular.
Starting point is 00:29:43 They finna get found out. Okay, they finna get found out. You seem to get found out. They finna get found out. Okay? They finna get found out. I'm trying. I've seen it. And you and him finna get found out. You keep playing around. Okay? Got too much dip on your chip. Sherelle.
Starting point is 00:30:02 You're great. I miss you. You gotta come home friend. I'm on my way home. We can do lunch tomorrow. We'll do lunch tomorrow. But listen, I feel like some people, you know, my favorite person who always have a quiet departure when they have a breakup and they they haven't, they've been in a long-term relationship recently, but they're still in a great relationship. Rihanna, you never, like when she break up, it's so quiet. Her, her, her departure, her relationship departure
Starting point is 00:30:41 was the blueprint. Do you feel like? I feel like she probably, the way the way she exit it probably be so embarrassing Don't nobody really want to talk about it. I feel like she really be It probably hurt real bad And they don't want to talk about it who won't talk about it then talk about it. But she do when she do exit a relationship she do get quiet like you don't hear there's no press conference. There's no relationships period. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:16 I love it for her now though she healed she healed and you know and she going her little zone or whatever and now look at her. Baby factory, I love it. I'm not gonna lie to you, if I had a billion, I'd have 10 more kids. If I had a billion, I'd lay up and I make babies all the time.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Oh no ma'am, hell no. Fuck, no. I would, I'm not gonna lie. I would,, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, All of these children we need Right now for now I don't know where they come from How you know where they come from you know how to Because you asked jump on top of he jump on but you want to know what's crazy is the way that we're doing it now. We had done it the same way before.
Starting point is 00:32:33 There was like no preventative measures, just nothing but prayer. You know what I mean? And for a very long time we did not procreate and it was nothing wrong. It wasn't no scares. It wasn't no nothing, nothing. Now it's like they won't stop. I don't know. I don't know what happened. When your ass get the itch and then you don't think. You so comfy. When my what?
Starting point is 00:32:55 Get to what? When my what? When your ass get the itch, you jumping on top of it. You need to sit your horny behind down for sure. You can't let it break. I know, I ain't trying to put it on me. You gotta put it on me. Because it was your fault this last time.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Oh, I think it was. It ain't just me. That was definitely, that was definitely. And I told you, I was like, for sure. Do not get pregnant pregnant. I don't even know why you said that. Why would you say that to me? And I was pregnant.
Starting point is 00:33:34 That's crazy. That is crazy. I can't believe I did that. But he's the perfect, oh. I love the baby. I love that you're getting a head now. We can't even look over the head. Oh, I'm so glad he's here.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Oh, he's the most perfect child. I just love him. I can't wait to go out there and get him. I love him. Listen, are we too quick to judge when women are shifting from boyfriend to single in real time? Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Yes. We do. We do. Every single situation or relationship, people judge. Even with, I'm going to say my ex with Chad. I'm happy for Chad. Chad is in a relationship. Don't you know like that man can't live in peace?
Starting point is 00:34:15 I can't live in peace because people is fighting for either team, Sherelle and Chad or you know, he and his feelings. Oh, I'm glad like just let the people Y'all didn't give the people no damn closure It's like we was in relationship to the people wanted to know what they'll have to tell you the people was like well What happened that well now what happened why we can't reconcile? What about french fry? We like y'all together The people just like y'all together What about French fry? We like y'all together.
Starting point is 00:34:42 The people just like y'all together. Yes, that was- Y'all didn't give nobody no closure. Now had y'all got on the internet and spewed all your business, maybe we wouldn't be itching for a reunion. But why? Why do you have to give,
Starting point is 00:34:58 the closure was there, why do you have to go into detail to give closure? I don't know, friend. My marriage is now on the blogs and I don't wish for it. I'm just telling you, for y'all, for the few of y'all that end up in people's, all of y'all business, y'all is on the blogs, you belong to everyone now.
Starting point is 00:35:15 You're like a public servant, okay? Man for office, we own you, okay? It's crazy. Tell us what happened. Well, no you're not gonna get no peace I want to know what happened It's like they only listen I'll be having prayers in my DMs long prayers I'm like are y'all what the whole years They be praying portion long long, long prayer scriptures and everything. I mean, you know, I take the scriptures, but I'm like, these people really devoted into it. Honey, I don't know. I don't know about that.
Starting point is 00:35:53 See, I've also just never been that of it. You know, I don't care about nothing. I'm not invested in other people's lives like that. Not like that. I'm all about families and hell, I ain't even give you all of that. And I'm your friend in real life. I said well girl if it's the law as well. But you want me to say I'm here for you but not. That is why I chose like any time for any other relationship that I ever you know got into
Starting point is 00:36:26 I will not put it out there in you know in the media because it's a lot I mean sometimes you read messages you be it is like there. I do see how long at last You know, you would love a girl But you know, I'm good. I am good, Portia. Okay. The number one ghetto cruise is showing out. Oh. Topic is, go ahead and sing it one time, Portia.
Starting point is 00:36:57 When I'm fancy. Hey, when I'm fancy. Ooh, I forgot to say it, bitch. I think I was gonna bring my pants. You gotta say it three times and I'm gonna get you. The fans that, the fans that, the fans that. That, that, that, bitch, the way they be, mm, mm. They be poppin', I be like, they gonna pop that joint out. That's why I should've went to Octi-Fest this weekend and took my fan.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I got my boots on the ground. That's my jam. And I learned to dance, girl. I still don't, you know I got two little feet. It's okay, you got your friend. But what they did to the fans now, what happened? The ghetto is cruise of the cruise lines. Carnival Cruise, new rules.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Carnival has rolled out tough new policies for passengers, especially on high demand routes. Here's everything that's been announced with Carnival Cruise. You know Carnival Cruise, we took over. Carnival Cruise is like Soul Plane or Spirit Airlines. I've been on plenty, plenty Carnival Cruise. My daddy used to go on them every year and he took me on the first one. I was 15 and I took my best friend with me.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Was that my first cruise? I don't even know I might have been 12 but Carnival is fun It's fun but I'm kind of was like Car I used to go on carnival a lot back in today, but you won't catch me on no no more me on Carnival no more. Honestly I don't do cruises. I haven't did a cruise in so long. My daddy, they love going on cruises. My daddy's a big fan of Carnival but I just can't do cruises anymore.
Starting point is 00:38:53 It's like okay so part of this feels a bit like a microaggression like okay so bitch what is you trying to say? Where I can't handle fan? Who is you trying to say where I can't handle fan Who is you trying to target overhead because you know who got the fans? That's right in it And Becky But I'm gonna let's get into it so I'm gonna go over some of the the new The new So I'm going to go over some of the new policies that they have laid out and then you tell me your thoughts. No personal Bluetooth or portable speakers, earbuds only. Ban on none battery fans.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Memory of books on the ground. So you can't have the none battery fans. Fans clacking on deck led to safety concerns. Hip hop slash rap void, no official band, but DJs are reportedly clear of this type of music. New age and minor policies, solo travelers must be 21. Age and minor policy, solo travelers must be 21. And under 21 needs a 25 plus guardian. Teen curfew under 17 must leave public spaces by 1 a.m. No pool chair hogging, 40 minute limit
Starting point is 00:40:19 before staff relocate your stuff. Strict drink packages rules, every adult in the cabin must buy the cheers package. If one does price jump to $82 a day. I thought that was always the case. No alcohol brought aboard. Hard liquor, beer, glass bottles banned. Limited non-alcoholic beverages allowed.
Starting point is 00:40:39 No candles, incense, no surge protectors, no homemade steamers, mobility device restrictions, scooters must fit in cabins, cabins, no duffinette seat throwing things overboard can trigger fire. Is it too extra or necessary? Are these cruise drill policies keeping everyone safe or just or just policing Black and young passengers? Um, both. Cause let's be real. Our people get out of control. That's one. Two, some of them is necessary.
Starting point is 00:41:20 You don't need to be throwing stuff overboard. You really don't need a Bluetooth speaker. There's music all over the ship. And it also sounds like it's really the YNs that's causing all the problems. By the teams. That's what it is. But the YNs don't carry the fans.
Starting point is 00:41:37 The YNs do not carry the fans. I don't know what the fan thing is about. The YNs are the teams. Nobody, so I really don't know what that's about. I don't know what's giving it's giving microaggressions it's giving like okay black people enough is enough that's what it's giving which is hello carnival we have been keeping y'all afloat quite literally for years and years and years. So I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Like, I like it and I don't like it because I don't like it. Now you can't bring wine. I thought you could bring wine. Like, they give you like a little corkage for you. You can bring your own wine. I also thought that if you had two adults in a cabin and one person gets a drink package, then the other person had to. I thought that was always the case.
Starting point is 00:42:28 I thought, I went on a cruise, I thought we could check in, after long. You can, I mean, like I've been on a cruise with like, they'll let you bring. So what happened at Chappaquiddick? Well, it really depends on who you talk to. There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young Ted Kennedy drove a car into a pond. And left a woman behind to drown.
Starting point is 00:42:48 There's a famous headline, I think in the New York Daily News, it's, Teddy escapes, blonde drowns. And in a strange way, right, that sort of tells you the story really became about Ted's political future, Ted's political hopes. Will Ted become president? Chappaquiddick is a story of a tragic death and how the Kennedy machine took control. And he's not the only Kennedy to survive a scandal.
Starting point is 00:43:10 The Kennedys have lived through disgrace, affairs, violence, you name it. So is there a curse? Every week, we go behind the headlines and beyond the drama of America's royal family. Listen to United States of Kennedy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. My Uncle Chris is definitely somebody worth talking about.
Starting point is 00:43:34 He was the kind of guy that used Confederate flags as window curtains, lived in a trailer with an ex-con and a retired stripper, left loaded machine guns laying around, drank a bottle of whiskey a night, claimed he could kill a man with his bare hands, drove a garbage truck for a living, spoke fluent Spanish with a thick southern accent, and is currently buried in a crypt alongside the founding families of Panama. Listen to the Uncle Chris podcast to hear all about him and a whole lot more. This collection of stories will make you laugh, it'll make you cry, and if I do my job right,
Starting point is 00:44:06 they'll let you see the world and your place in it in a whole new way. I can't wait to tell you all about Uncle Chris. Listen now to Uncle Chris on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Show me how good it can get today, God, and show the rest of the world what we already know. It can't get no better than being Hella Black, Hella Queer, and Hella Christian. My
Starting point is 00:44:33 name is Joseph Rees. I am the creator and host of Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian, a fully black, fully queer, fully human, fully divine podcasts that explore society, culture, and the intersections of faith and identity. I think what I've had to make peace with is that every iteration of my voice is given to me by God, and I love it. Books that validated our identity.
Starting point is 00:45:02 The library now for me is a safe space as someone who is writing books that they're trying to take off of shelves. And how we as black queer folks relate to our Christianity. Listen to Hella Black, Hella Queer, Hella Christian on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Erin Welsh, an ecologist and epidemiologist.
Starting point is 00:45:26 And I'm Erin Almond-Updike, also an epidemiologist. On our show, this podcast will kill you. We cover everything from the biology of deadly diseases to the weird history behind them, all with a healthy dose of humor. Like the time we made a surprising discovery about scabies. When you look at pictures of especially these particular mites, they look more like tardigrades, like water bears, than they do ticks. They're kind of cute. Or when we used a classic movie reference to explain allergy tests. An allergist will inject teeny tiny amounts of the
Starting point is 00:46:01 thing that they're allergic to underneath their skin. It's just like Iacane powder in The Princess Bride, but it works. And our COVID-19 series was even added to the CDC Museum archives. So need I say more? New episodes drop every Tuesday on the Exactly Right Network. Listen to This Podcast Will Kill You on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Wine, like a bottle of wine or two bottles of wine. That's Celebrity Crews. I went on with my family. They let me bring them down.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Listen, all it's going to make them do when they start getting strict on that alcohol, Listerine bottles, you go on Amazon, you buy these fake Listerine bottles, fake shampoo bottles, and that's all they're going to do is put the lid on that. I'm're gonna do is put the little problem is and it could solve your problem real quick if Carnival would stop sending everybody emails about $283 seven-day cruises they would avoid all of this because if they want so damn cheap you'd stop hello now the way ends is not paying thousands of dollars for these cruises. The YNs is going on your boat for $300 and tearing it to hell for seven whole days. But didn't you see them videos?
Starting point is 00:47:16 Listen. The videos are viral. Okay, so this I don't know for the people in the chat, the cruise goers. If you go a lot, they'll send you deals. If you go in the casino, like my mama, and you spend money in a casino, they're going to send you a free cruise. They're going to send you on a 14 day cruise for $200 and give you a $500 onboard credit. I'm trying to tell you, my mother has a cruise booked every month for the rest of the year
Starting point is 00:47:51 because she play them little nickel slots. Carnival, if you up the prices and you stop giving these cruises away for pennies, then you might be able to shake something. You might be able to shake something because then you don't just get rid of just the unruly black people that you think you're getting rid of. You're getting rid of everybody
Starting point is 00:48:13 who go in there and act a damn fool. But don't try to make it seem like it's just us who popping off. Don't do that. Don't do that because ghetto comes in all shades now. Ghetto comes in all shades. That's true. I don't like that. Don't do that because ghetto comes in all shades now. Ghetto comes in all shades. I don't like that. That's so true. I don't like it's not set in stone but the music because you need a little bit of everything. First of all, you know on them cruises all they play is that Euro pop from 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Girl, you going on a cruise right now. The hip hop they're giving you is Flo Rida. A little neo. Even again, that's what you're gonna get. You might get Bodak Yellow. I was like, oh shit, they playing accordion. Like, let's be like now. Like, they're not over there giving you a young thug. And if they are, again, I have not been on the Carnival Cruise in a very long time. But I know they emailing people $100 cruises and that is your problem
Starting point is 00:49:28 That's right You got it They're doing a little bit too much. They what do you call it? Um I figure out what it's called. I can't think of the term right now But they definitely need to stop because they'll be like you can get a cruise for 99 dollars And then every passenger after that it's going to make it so everybody can cruise and then get mad when everybody cruise Hello everybody when I Come on part of it y'all gotta get a little bit if y'all trying to change up a little something y'all got to get it
Starting point is 00:50:02 Better don't try to stereotype it and change it thinking that you go, you know, is us who causing the problems, you got to fix it up and make it, you know, change for everybody. Now I ain't gonna lie, sometimes stereotypes be stereotypes and they be a little true. Stereotypes are only a stereotype because it's a little true. You know what I mean? It's saying black people coming on the ship and they got the fans and they acting up. I don't know friend. Sometimes we'll be on the ship with our fans acting up.
Starting point is 00:50:37 The fans are getting a little bit, you know, people showing out with these fans. Especially when they pop it. It's all in good fun. They probably scared as hell on them boats and fan first of all the fans are loud Girl And they come in different go off you feel like you hear a semi-automatic weapon of people probably on ships scared as hell somebody start flapping that fan And if it's a crowd, frap, frap, girl, you just don't. Them people probably be ducking for cover, boots on the ground.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Listen, I'm with some of the rules. All of them, yeah, the no hip hop thing. Good luck. Okay Good luck for that They want all the black out it's gonna be dry. That's what they they don't have a dry ass cruise The satirian lounge about to kick my behind out talking about some y'all got 10 minutes to get out of here They're about to bring the panic and pop me up out of here. So we're gonna continue on. Carnival y'all got to get better. We respect y'all, we love y'all.
Starting point is 00:51:52 We got aunties and uncles that book faithfully. Don't make us do you like between Target. Don't do it. Portia, do you got the... Not Target, I just read something I'm owning it about Target. Target trying to get their sales back up, get their support back up with our community. I know what they got to do, they got to do something.
Starting point is 00:52:14 They got to do something, they got to piss us off real bad. Yeah, they really did. Do you got the humblebady's mail? Do I have humblebady? Do we? You want me to read it and you end? I want me to read it as soon as I find it. Boom found it. Alright okay so this is from Julia. Hey Julia girl. Julia from Los Angeles California. Alright here we go. Hey ladies so I've been dating this guy for about six months now,
Starting point is 00:52:46 and honestly, it's been going really well. He's handsome, successful, and super romantic. Like he even flew me out to Aruba a couple of months ago, and it was one of the best trips I've ever had. Not Aruba. We've had a lot of fun together, and up until recently, I had no real complaints, but now I'm not so sure.
Starting point is 00:53:05 He told me he had to travel to Chicago for work last weekend. No big deal. I didn't press it, but I randomly glanced at his shared Apple Card account. Okay. Okay. Because, because yes, his account info is on my phone from the Aruba trip and he never took it off. She never took it off. She never took it off.
Starting point is 00:53:25 And I noticed a hotel charge in Houston for two nights before he even got to Chicago. I haven't said anything to him yet because I want to gather my thoughts first, but I can't lie. It doesn't sit right with me. The crazy part is a few of my friends warned me about him from the junk. They said he's known for dating multiple women at once,
Starting point is 00:53:42 that he's a smooth talker and a master manipulator, but I wanted to see for myself. That was your first mistake. Now I feel stuck between trust in my gut and not wanting to blow up something that might be innocent. So tell me ladies, am I over-reacting or is my man definitely moving shady? And more importantly, would y'all confront him or play it cool and watch how it unfolds? Help a girl out before I pull up to Houston myself. Yep. When I pull up to Houston myself, Julia, baby, I gotta be honest.
Starting point is 00:54:19 He's definitely giving Shady detour energy. The man was love bombing you Telling you things you want to hear giving you things flying you out He ain't if it's there that is there, but if you want to talk about it, I wouldn't hold it in I definitely would say something to him. It doesn't have to be an argument but communicate But don't hold it in because he's going to continue to do more things and more things and it's just going to build up. So what I'm trying to figure out, OK, so I don't like to blow
Starting point is 00:54:55 situations up until I know for sure that you're lying. You know what I mean? So it could just be as simple as not like did you go to Houston? But you know, how was your flight? When did you get in? You just gotta ask him questions if that fool just smooth gloss over the fact that he spent two days in a different state Then Yeah, you know what I mean? Because because what he doing? You just didn't know what he was?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Y'all ain't FaceTime, you didn't see him in the hotel, you ain't, like I don't know how this, I don't know. I'm the investigating type. I'm nosy, I don't ever check and stuff. All women, we all are like that. I don't care if there's nothing going on. I'm checking, I wanna see. I just gotta stay, keep me on my toes.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I got to see what's going on. That's just me. I don't know, I think your first mistake is people warned you about him. Why would they be warning you about him? He's a smooth talker, he's this, he's that, he's probably raggedy. And you just wanted to see for yourself
Starting point is 00:56:02 because you hard headed girl. Plus one and two, he's lying. If he lies about where he was for two days, he was hunting and that's it. And that's all. Getting them wrong. You know what they said? My girl just posted what was going on in Houston. The people and the diseases.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Was that a thing? STDs and HIV, the rates are crazy. Yeah, they getting easy and lying. Oh, but that's a thing. The whole, okay, see now this seemed like something you would do, because you don't carry wallets and you only ever use Apple Pay. His shared Apple Card account,
Starting point is 00:56:48 his account is still on your phone? I don't know, he doesn't seem too smart. But you know, men don't come out of cheap. Well then why do they do it so much? I only like to do things that I'm good at. You know what I mean? Men don't think like that. They think once they happen that it's done, they don't know how to delete, you know, the
Starting point is 00:57:17 evidence, all the evidence that was there. It's like, I feel like she just needs to just ask questions surrounding that. You know, not like where you were Houston, but just ask him, how was this? How was that? What'd you do this weekend? Blah, blah, blah. If he doesn't mention it, then he's, he just told you a blatant lie. I don't know what could be innocent about it. If he says he wasn't there, then what did he just use? I don't, there's no way around it. So you just ask him what he was doing. How was his weekend? You know,
Starting point is 00:57:48 how was his flight? What time did he get in? What did he eat? You do anything fun this weekend? If you don't say, yeah, I was in Houston, then he's a liar. And then you can do with that, whatever you want. But sometimes if you're just going to make excuses for him, once he lie to you, don't even say nothing. Just let that man live his life. You know what I mean? That's what you asking us like girl, ask that man. What's going on? Wait on it. Wait no more for him to cheat on, continue to just to make up lies and, and build that, uh,
Starting point is 00:58:23 the whole notion of, oh, it could be something innocent. What could it possibly be if he purposely kept it from you? Was he shopping? Did he go buy you an engagement ring? Whatever, blow the whole secret up. I don't know, but right now it look like you cheatin'. Exactly, what you gonna do, Portia? Oh, I'ma ask. I'm gonna, I'm gonna corner you.
Starting point is 00:58:46 I'm gonna make you lie to me so I know what you're gonna do. I ain't gonna outright just ask you. See, I'm looking right. You gonna be good. Because if you did that, I'm looking at the whole transaction. I'm doing everything. Oh, I'm looking at your Uber receipts. That's the only thing you paid for with Al Pay. I'm doing a whole shit. And then she said, pull up to Houston, bitch. Is he still there? Call that man, FaceTime him. Show me something that look like Chicago real quick.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Oh, you want Chicago? And if you lay in the bed, turn the camera around because they slick with it. They're laying there. Why you talking to them? I want to see everything. Show me everything. Everything, go in you talking to I want to see everything Don't be everything going to bathroom I need to see everything show me I want to go sites you How many luggages in the closet?
Starting point is 00:59:35 That's that That's that. Let me tell you how you know a man cheat man cheat when he always call you if he in the car If he call you when he on the way home I always call you if he in the car. If he call you when he on the way home from the club, outside the hotel, on the way home from the club, but not in the bed at the club. You need to call me as soon as your head hit the pillow.
