The Volume.
I'm your host, my name is DJ Wells. Doing this morning about my two brothers to my left, The volume. and make sure you make it to the new year. Man, we had some great sports going on yesterday. Let's get straight to it. Hey man, the Nuggets was whooping shit yesterday
against the Jazz.
132, 121, man, Joker and Russell Rushbrook
had triple doubles yesterday, bro, crazy.
Russell Rushbrook, no turnovers.
He was in there doing his thing yesterday for sure.
It was good to see him out there,
deal with Joker like that.
They wasn't in each other way at all, so.
He had a perfect triple double.
Then missed a shot, then turned the ball over.
Unbelievable game for Russ off the bench.
That's light work.
I guess we don't give him enough credit
for being the person that he's being,
coming off the bench and being the player that he's being.
I mean, getting a triple double
with another guy getting a triple double is unbelievable.
Shoot 100% too. And then it ain't like Joker had a barely triple double. Nah guy getting a triple double is unbelievable. Shooting 100% too.
And then it ain't like Joker had a barely triple double.
Nah, my boy had 36, 22, 11.
That was a freaky triple double.
Yeah, that was crazy.
It wasn't a lot of stuff going around that situation.
Russell Westbrook still has 16, 10, and 10.
Like you said, seven to seven from the field.
Also, 100% on free throws, two no turnovers.
Perfect triple double.
Man, it's an epitome to who Russell Westbrook is.
Like we talked about it.
That whole Laker situation put like a stainless
on his situation because people got to talk to him crazy
and diminish him like he ain't a Hall of Famer.
Like he ain't still a capable player.
Beginning of the season, you talked about him
going to Nuggets.
You were early to say it was going to work out.
And so far it's been sweet.
He just needed time, bro.
Like he is great for the locker room.
It just, his game got to come to him.
So they straight. Nah, for sure, man. It's dope his game gotta come to him. So they straight.
No, for sure man.
It's dope.
Like you said, we get to honor Russell Westbrook
because we had those years of smuff for no reason.
Every other team he's been on,
he's been a consummate professional.
All his teammates say how much they love him.
And he'd been playing solid for this team this year, man.
Is this what the Nuggets needed?
I think they still need another piece.
But I think Westbrook solidified scoring off the bench,
playmaking off the bench, and obviously we know
he's a great rebounder.
They still missing a wing.
They gonna need a wing.
But I mean, having Yokocho on your team, man,
arguably probably the best player,
top three player in the league,
he can make things happen for your team
that not too many people can.
For sure, and Kady recently said that, you know what I'm saying,
he was like, Joker is the best player in the league
and probably top 10 all time.
How y'all feel about that statement?
He the best in the league?
I mean.
Shit, it ain't,
can't be mad at somebody saying that.
He proving it.
Yeah, I think he the best in the league.
Or he can probably win three in a row.
MVP's, I mean, the numbers he put up are crazy.
The way he play basketball is fun to watch.
He play the right way.
He makes the extra pass.
He's not selfish at all.
The game looks so easy to him.
We say he out of shape from what we looking at,
but like everything he do,
he just make the game look easy and simple.
I probably would agree with KD that he's the best.
Top 10 all time. I mean, shit, KD that he's the best, top 10 all the time.
I mean, shit, I don't know how you can argue with it.
I mean, if he get another MVP three in a row,
only with who, Brian and a couple other people
that done that.
Yeah, Gracie, yeah, he got, well, a little bit of,
yeah, that's just crazy, bro.
Cause when did the NBA get his MVP?
Was it last year? Yeah.
So basically, yeah, like you said,
but to take a break off in this, you still get three and four years, it's still phenomenal. And he could It was the last year. So basically, like you said, but to take a break off and you still get three
and four years is still phenomenal.
And he could have got it last year
and take himself out of the race basically.
Like basically, I don't want this shit.
To be in the MVP race for five straight years
and like be leading the race.
In the guard era.
Yeah.
Like you said, in the era where the big is not,
you know what I'm saying,
the most pushed person in the league.
And it's crazy, man, he's just doing his thing.
I know we talked about it, Jordan Clarkson had 24,
so he was killing.
He's one of those players that's on the list
for a lot of different teams and say,
okay, it might take a second round pick or two
to get him on to be a contender.
But as a person, we talked about helping another team
for sure, the Nuggets, you said they need
a little bit more wing help.
Been rumored that they've been in contact with the Wizards,
maybe getting some help from over there.
From Kyle Kuzma?
Yeah, and they say, you know, maybe it's a stretch pause,
but even getting Jordan Clarkson,
I mean not Jordan Clarkson, Jordan Poole on that team too.
I mean, they could use another scorer on the wing,
but I think they need another wing defender.
Okay, you think they could just try to go get Kuz?
Yeah, I mean, he can guard.
I mean, he's not known for defense,
but I think he's a competitor.
He's capable.
Yeah, he's a competitor, so I think, you know,
he embraced that role, trying to play on a team
that has aspiration to win a championship.
I mean, leaving the Wizards and going to Denver is like,
nevermind, I ain't gonna say that.
But like, going to a penthouse from the outhouse,
you know what I mean?
So, I'm sure he'll embrace that role
and probably have a good time doing it.
I always wondered what that feeling was like,
because like you seen Dorya Finney-Smith.
He was just like, I know what it's like
to be the little brother in Brooklyn.
Now I'm a big brother with the Lakers.
When players go from teams that ain't good to good teams,
do you think most of the time they like be geeked
about that?
I mean, I never really had that situation.
Like I went from good teams to bad teams.
So I probably feel different.
You didn't come to a bad team though,
but then after that you went to a mediocre team.
I just wanna, now you definitely started high with the Hawks.
The Pacers, that was a good year, but it was turmoil.
That was, that wasn't a good team.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying the Pacers was a bad team.
I'm saying like when I got traded,
I went from like a bad team to like a bad team.
Like I never got like upgraded.
A tremendous upgrade.
Yeah, so I don't know what that feeling's like.
For sure man.
Yeah, the Pacers man, they like,
Jeff T, you need to show more love, man.
We love Jeff T.
So that's the agenda next year, man.
I mean, I love the Pacers.
I mean, they just.
When they asked you to rev the engine last year,
you said no.
Yeah, I'm grown, man.
I got y'all, we hold it down next year.
I'm grown, man. I said I love it. I ain't about to sit in that car. I'm grove, man. I got y'all, we holding down next year. I'm grove, man. I said, I'm gonna look, I ain't about to sit in that car.
I'm so happy.
I didn't want to tell you, just, you know, come say,
I want to put my hand up.
And then I said, get in the car, bro, that's how I do it.
Shout out to the players, they crazy.
But like you said, Russell Westbrook, second time ever, man.
No missed shots, no missed turns, and triple dub.
That is crazy, man.
Like historic, and it's fitting for us for sure.
Nuggets, I know we talk about this quite a lot,
but you still think they can contend in the West?
Yeah, when you got the best player in the league, arguably,
you always got a chance, and they got capable players.
I mean, Jamal Murray, we know he can have moments.
Aaron Gordon, he can have breakouts,
moments and stuff like that.
And they get a Kuzma or a Jordan Poole.
I think those guys are more than capable of having moments.
So.
They just got to click at the right time.
Yeah.
And having Westbrook as your backup to run your team,
bro, you in good hands for sure.
Especially how you played with the young boys.
He in their white hair, how you know what I mean?
That's what I'm saying.
He really let his ego all the way down.
That's what people thought it was hard for him to do
when he's proven like shit.
I can rock out with anybody.
His career aged pretty, pretty well.
Yeah, yeah.
For sure.
I thought it would be tough for him too.
I ain't gonna lie.
To be how dominant he was.
That's how dominant he was.
I never thought that he had aged like he's aged.
And his personality was like,
I'm not no bench niggas.
So, I understand.
Because you think about the trips he took,
you know what I'm saying?
Look at the Houston situation.
You look at the Washington situation.
It's like all those teams he went to,
he may have the best stats in Houston,
but he flourished in every one of those roles.
So the Lakers was an anomaly, obviously,
but shout out to Russell Westbrook, man.
It's just easy to pick on Russ
because him and his KD beef.
Yeah, and he don't talk.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
He don't really go out and say too much about nothing.
He just put his head down the hoop. So shout out to Russell Westbrook man crazy game yesterday for sure
Cavs went crazy yesterday
Best in the league record-wise 28 and 4 beat the sleeves off the Warriors 113 to 95
There's Garland 25 at 8 down up in Mitchell 23 and 4
Shout out to Trace Jackson Davis team Teague alumni had a smooth double double yesterday with 16 to 16
Went crazy Steph. All only had 11 yesterday,
but Jonathan Kamiga had 18 to 10.
We gonna put too much stock in this,
we just gonna show some love
to the Cavs whooping ass yesterday.
The Cavs, they really a good team.
I mean, I seen Trace had good stat line,
but him and Kamiga was broke as hell.
They couldn't make no layups for shit.
Or Buddy Hill.
Yeah, but the Cavs are just a well, well machine, bro.
They played great together.
Like, you can tell how Donovan Mitchell play,
he just wanna win.
Like, he not overshooting, over killing.
He only averaging 23 this year, somewhere around there.
And for us, that's kinda low for him.
We used to see him being that upper 26, 27 range.
So you can tell he took a step back
for their team to be better
because they got some more players that's developing.
Darius Garland around 20 points.
And then you got other people flourishing in their roles.
So the way they playing together,
I mean, I think they're a real solid team.
They could be in the Eastern Conference finals for sure.
Most definitely.
I was gonna ask you how y'all feel about that back court
with him and with DG.
I know a lot of people are speculating
if Darius Garland's gonna make the All-Star game
and how y'all feel about that backcourt so far this year?
I like them.
They top three?
Yeah, they haven't been on top three.
Yeah, they haven't.
I mean, they got the record to show.
I was debating about this this morning
when I was looking at what we were gonna talk about
and I was just like, dang,
do you pick Darius Garland over Trey Young and Cade Cunningham
because they team having so much success? Or do you like, dang, do you pick Darius Garland over Trey Young and Cade Cunningham because they team having so much success?
Or do you go, nah.
Man, I think with the East guards this year,
I think it's going to be hard for Darius to get in.
You know, he's probably deserved, like you said,
great stats in the number one team.
But you look at Jaylen Brunson,
you look at Damien Lillard, is he going to beat them over?
I'm not asking, yeah, I mean.
I'm just going through a list of people like that's.
I think Jalen Brunson more than definitely deserves
to be on that team.
He should be all star starter in my eyes,
but he probably won't be.
But then you got, how do you say Darius Garland,
they having the best season ever,
arguably for the Cavs since LeBron's, whatever runs.
Mm-hmm.
They number one in the East.
Think you just choose the best players
with the best stats.
That's me, I don't care who win or lose though.
As for the players, the All-Star game is for
the best talent to touch the floor.
Yeah, but that ain't fair,
cause you could, something like somebody
gotta score the ball.
Yeah.
So if I'm the best talent, if I'm LaMelo
and we got seven wins, but I averaged 30,
I should make the All-Star team.
Yeah, that's what I'm killing.
Yeah, but somebody-
All right, that's what the All-Star team. Yeah, that's what I'm killing. Yeah, but somebody-
That's what the All-Star game is for shits and giggles, bro.
All right, one year Tony Rowe never is 22 for Philly.
They won like 10 games.
That's what it's probably,
it's so many other people averaging.
I'm just saying, like-
Shout out to T-Rowe, that's my guy.
I'm just saying, but shit we had, shit got every-
Yeah, shout out to T-Rowe for sure,
we'd love to have you on Club Five 20, but- For sure. At that time, I'm just saying bro, shit we had. Shit we had. Yeah, shout out to T-Roy for sure. We'd love to have you on club 520,
but at that time, I'm asleep.
There was probably 12 other niggas averaging that, bro.
I'm just saying.
I'm lines of ball averaging 30 and 10,
bro, that's different than 22.
And he missed a lot of games too though.
Al Gressin, that's probably what's gonna probably
knock him out of that situation,
cause he missed games.
They won seven games, he's knocked out.
Yeah.
Now Trey Young's situation is interesting
because 22 and 12 in the Hawks,
he has to be an All-Star.
I thought about what you said yesterday,
I'm like, yeah, he has to be an All-Star, 22 and 12.
I don't think that K should make it.
I think K should probably get in there too,
because like we said, with the Pistons were last year
and what they are now, a lot is because of him.
His, come on bro, 24, 10 and seven.
I love Darius Garland.
I just, I don't like-
He just might be the odd man out, unfortunately.
Yeah, but I just don't like the multiple player on the team.
All-star.
Just because they're number one?
So you think only-
I always hated that, bro.
Fuck y'all.
Oh, especially your team.
100%.
You probably really tipped the cake for me.
Y'all, the Hawks kicked it over.
Sending four niggas is crazy.
What was worse, the Hawks, I mean,
people thought the Pistons was soup.
Y'all feel this shit?
The Pistons what or the Hawks what?
The Hawks, bro.
Just because the Pistons, the Pistons,
like they really, they want a chip.
They want a chip, bro.
Like Ben Wallace is out of pocket.
Nobody wants to Ben Wallace, All-Stars Jersey,
but Ben Wallace was an enforcer.
You know what I'm saying?
So it made more sense.
Like the cast, they almost sent five.
I mean, the Hawks almost literally sent five players
to the Hawks.
Y'all was finna send your whole story five.
That's how it gets. That's how it gets. They was pushingna see a All-Star and five players. No they wasn't.
That's not gas.
They was pushing for the Mark Grohar.
Yes they was.
And I was hating.
I was hating to sit down and push for DC.
They was picking between him and Kyle
and the only reason they made somebody got hurt.
Dang, respect.
So it should have been somebody else from another team.
Why would they get another nigga from the All-Stars?
Kyle was an All-Star for us.
I mean, nah, that's what I'm saying.
Niggas was good for that moment for the team
so far as the NBA, but the all-star game, bro,
put the all-stars in the game.
Respect.
That's all I'm saying, bro.
I love Cal Corver, I love Ben Wallace,
but come on, bro.
Respect.
You still gotta give, bro.
For sure.
Hey, people vote who they vote.
That is true.
But is it, like, no, because you was making an argument
about like the winning, you know, whoever's winning.
I mean, that's cool, bro, but damn, bro.
I'm just saying, you gotta play for something.
That's what make you an all-star,
you make your team better.
That's real.
Like, just cause I'm cold,
it's a bunch of niggas that's cold.
You, like, you put somebody else on the Wizards,
like in average 25, 30.
I remember that was a conversation a lot with Brad Bill,
even though we know Brad Bill's the elite,
they was just like, all right, yeah, Brad Bill's
averaging 27, 28, but they trash, and it's just like,
I get it, but I think that might be a threshold
with certain people like, all right,
if you averaging 24, 25 on the sad team,
then so be it, you averaging 30.
Nah, bro, cause I used to be shitty when Dane
wasn't making the All-Star game, bro,
that was the problem at first.
But they was actually good.
That was good.
It was just the guards in the west.
I mean, he was getting robbed.
Like they were actually good.
Like they records would be-
Like damn bro, how Dane not making the All-Star game, bro.
It was a playoff team here a year.
They was actually good.
Warriors sending four niggas to that bitch, bro.
Getting some holiday shopping done this weekend.

You are not a real fighter.
You will never be discussed anywhere in boxing history,
ever, fake Paul.
The movie is The Apprentice,
and the movie is about young Donald Trump and his apprentice,
Roy Cohen.
Real character, obviously both real characters.
It kind of has a Scarface vibe to it, which I thought was very interesting.
Listen to the I Am Rap Report Stereo podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, and
wherever you get your podcast.
Well, that's why my beef is with for real with that.
But yeah, I was gonna say,
you look at the Eastern Conference point guards
we talked about, we go through the list.
There's Garlick should definitely be in that conversation
for sure, but you look at him, look at Jalen Brunson.
Look, you just keep it there for me, please.
Look at the Hawks, you got Trey Young, Magic.
I don't think any of their guards is going unfortunately.
Nick's Jalen Brunson for sure.
Celtics, probably none of their guards.
Their wings will probably go.
Cavs, obviously two people there who are capable.
Pistons, Kade, Bulls, probably not.
Pacers, Tyrese probably not making an All-Star game this year.
So, I mean, he should, man.
And Tyler Herro. You think Tyler Herro gonna get that All-Star spot, I mean, he should, man. And Tyler Hero.
You think Tyler Hero gonna get that All-Star spot?
I mean, he in the conversation.
He might not make it,
but he definitely in the conversation.
He averaging 24, playing well for the heat.
How many guards make the All-Star game?
Eight? It's weird.
They have it like wings and bigs, don't they?
So I'm like, yeah.
It's a whole different format now.
You know, they playing them split up teams,
and type of stuff. Oh, yeah.
People picking the team.
Yeah, you right.
So I don't even know how it's gonna go.
Seven and 25 is crazy.
If Tyler Hero, that's all said like,
30 is cool but seven wins is crazy.
Y'all are probably gonna get the Yiddis every awesome.
But that's crazy.
I was rocking with K, but all the middle of it,
and he missed games,
and he probably gonna make the All-Star game,
even though he probably should with them stats.
But I don't know, it's kind of crazy
if Tyler Hero get the All-Star bid over Derrick Scrogglin.
No disrespect.
I think he do a 20% of the games as well.
Especially after getting tossed like that yesterday.
You gotta get it out of DG.
After getting Judo flipped.
I ain't mad at DG and Donovan making it though.
I ain't mad at that at all.
They both well-deserving.
For sure, man.
Interesting stat about the Warriors,
they started off hot this year,
but they have had the same record
in the last couple of games, I believe,
as the Wizards, as far as the winning stuff,
they have been trash.
What do they do?
Because we see-
They gotta make a big splash trade.
It ain't working with the young guys.
And if y'all gonna keep Steph,
and y'all gonna ride it out with Steph
till he's done playing,
you gotta give him another start.
I mean, I like Kaminga and them guys,
but it's just not working.
Yeah.
Now if y'all gonna rock out with Kaminga and them
and stay with the young guys,
y'all gonna have to let Steph and Draymond
and those dudes make some decisions, you know what I mean?
If they still wanna play for championships
and stuff like that.
You gonna have to, yeah.
Both the Wizards and the Warriors are four 13 or last games,
last 17 games, that's disgusting. They have to do something-13 in their last games, last 17 games.
That's disgusting.
They have to do something, bro.
I don't know what it is.
I don't know if they sent it on business with Camila,
but it just, it look weird, bro.
And like you said, if you're gonna have Steph,
don't make him waste a year like this.
Or if so, just be trash all the way,
sit him and rebuild him, go for the future.
But what they doing right now, obviously,
can't be it for sure.
And I don't think they want to.
I think Dre Mon and Steph, they wanna play for something. But I don't know who they trade. I think Dre Mon and Steph, they want to play for something.
But I don't know who they trade for now.
Do you trade?
Obviously they said they're not trading Jimmy Miami.
Yeah.
But,
Allegedly.
You know, anything can change.
You sent out the right package.
I'm sure that they had probably come back
with a response, but.
Yeah, especially since he's out for conditioning.
So yeah.
I don't know who else that you go after.
Yeah, we'll see. Maybe it will. So I. I don't know who else that you go after. Yeah. We'll see.
Maybe it will.
So I always wonder, I think I got an idea.
That traded Draper.
I said that he wanted them to turn down.
So George, was that,
was that what I'm talking about?
I don't remember who you thought.
I thought it was the marketer situation,
but that's just assumption obviously, but.
I'll go get Lori.
Yeah. I know that was off the off season, but.
I would love for him to go get Lori.
Hell yeah. That would, that would make that team a, I know that was off the off season, but. I would love for them to go get Laurie. Hell yeah.
That would make that team a lot better for sure,
but we'll see, man.
Give us some words.
The Knicks keep whooping.
They got the Wizards up out of here, 126 to 106.
Kat, another phenomenal year, man.
32 and 13.
Josh Harbour crazy yesterday, 24, 15 to 10.
Trippie Dubb and J. LeBruns at 18 and six.
Nine of the last 10, man.
Niggas got high at the right time, man.
They playing great basketball.
They supposed to get two all-starters, J. Lane
and Kat, for sure.
Most definitely.
Kat should be a starter.
Yeah, for sure.
I think they both can be starters.
I don't know if they will, but they both should.
They're in New York too.
That fan base should definitely make sure that they starters, man. I think they solidify be starters. I don't know if they will, but they both. They're in New York too. That fan base should definitely make sure
that they starters, man.
I think they solidify themselves
as the second best team in the East.
I think they're better in the Cavs.
I think the Cavs are playing better basketball right now
as a team, but in a playoff setting,
I want to take them over to Cavs.
I'm a Cavs fan, y'all know it,
but the way Kat and the Knicks play,
they got two dominant guys that any game can go off a 50.
And the Cavs, I only think down if he can have those moments.
I don't see Darius being able to get 50
or just to explode and take over a game like that.
He can have a good game,
but these two dudes can take the game over
and do whatever they want at any point in the game, man.
It ain't too many teams with two capable players like that.
Nah, for sure, like you said,
to be able to create on their own,
I think the Cavs need to go get another piece
that can be able to help score high volume off the bench.
For the playoff reasons, like you said,
Donovan Mitchell can definitely get you there.
Darius Garland can definitely contribute,
but they don't have the firepower that the Knicks have.
Especially not in the series, but.
Especially not since Dude found his shot.
Yeah, since Mike Hill.
Preface Mike Hill worked, boy. Yeah. Yeah, he his shot. Yeah since Mikell, I pray for Mikell it worked boy.
Yeah.
He's back and like we said OG,
we talk about them going back between third and fourth
option, any given time both of them would go crazy man.
That's just a tough team to deal with.
I ain't gonna.
They find their rhythm, they damn near scary.
I ain't gonna lie, they damn near a tough matchup
for the Boston really.
Unless Port Zingas, if Port Zingas is healthy, then it's a different matchup for the Boston really unless Port Zingas. If Port Zingas is healthy then it's a different
matchup but if Port Zingas is out it's a tough matchup for them. If Port Zingas and Drew
is playing at a high high level it's a wrap. That's the scary part about them.
All healthy we're at a high level you right you. You right about it. Thank you. There's not even teams without Drew and Prozingis playing
at the top of the level.
I would say the Knicks are a better team
without Prozingis and Drew.
Yeah.
Cause I think Drew is-
I agree.
I think Drew is like the glue to that team.
Obviously I know JT and JB, they superstars.
Killish.
Yeah, superstar.
But what Drew provides to that team is irreplaceable.
Yeah, and I think that OG, Mikel,
I'm not saying they gonna stop Jason or Jaylen at all,
but I think they can match up.
Yeah, they can give them a challenge.
Yeah, they can make it tough.
I ain't gonna stop them, but they can make it tough.
I'll go on the limit and say,
I mean, I respect the poor Zingas,
but how Cat looking this year,
I don't think he want that smoke.
I know schemes and stuff play a matter
in what you're talking about as well,
but if it gets between them two, I'm taking Cat.
I mean, yeah, you a take Cat, but shit.
I know it's all schemes and how they move off.
That affects everything else we're talking about.
That helped in Boston, different.
And that pick and roll gonna get real scary
with Cat, if Portzinga's there,
and Cat gotta switch,
because Portzinga shoot threes.
So now he gotta switch on a JT and JB, that's when it gets spooky. Even with Al Hor switch because Forzinga shoot threes. So now he got a switch on a J-10, J-B.
That's when it gets spooky.
Even with Al Horford, because he shoot all threes.
It could get real spooky fast.
Put a ball on them.
Yeah.
Yeah, they dropped coverage,
didn't help Cat last year at all.
But like we say, it comes to schemes,
but then Michelle Lovett's the next man.
They are whooping shit.
Nine out of 10.
Y'all think this could be a championship team?
Nah.
Not a championship. You don't think so?
You don't think they could have a crazy run
and get through the East?
Nah. Okay.
They can make it to the East in Congress.
I said they can make it tough for Boston.
Okay, you said that.
But everybody healthy on Boston is.
It's a wrap, bro.
They can, back to the championship they go.
For sure, I ain't mad at all at that situation.
Other games, I know y'all probably didn't tap in with this,
but this was a crazy game yesterday.
The Bulls beat the Hornets yesterday, OT 115 to 108.
Colby White was killing, almost had a triple double,
23, 10 and nine.
Miles Bridges was hooping yesterday, 31, 12 and eight.
I ain't gonna lie, they was broke as hell.
Did y'all see how many threes they missed?
Bro, they missed with them, their 75 threes combined.
Yeah, bro, it was nasty, bro.
It was crazy though, bro.
It was crazy.
They missed 75 threes and still scored 115 and 108?
In overtime.
Bro, that shit.
Nasty work.
I think it's just a, that's bad basketball, bro.
You can get that motherfucker up, though.
Man, they was looking at me so fast, bro.
You damn near.
10 for 43, bro.
You damn near playing within 10 seconds of the shot clock.
Yeah.
How you miss that many threes, bro,
and still have a high score again? Like that. Y'all damn near playing within 10 seconds of the shot clock. Yeah. How you miss that many threes, bro, and still have a high score again?
Like that.
Y'all damn near looking like Phoenix
with Steve Dash was there.
Hey, get them FGAs up, bro.
Damn.
I know a lot of people, especially the OGs be mad at us.
Like, man, talk about the shooter.
They're like, I wish I could have played in this area.
We could shoot the ball whatever the hell you want to
with no consequence.
Man.
I think Reggie Miller, as much as the smut
I put on his name, he probably the average 30 today.
Reggie, Reggie Allen.
Oh my God.
People like Dennis Scott, D3.
People like him would have made hundreds of-
Rich Richmond would have average 30 in this game.
Man, hundreds of millions of dollars
because the way they shot the ball back then.
Rich Chapman, all these dudes had-
Rich Chapman.
Burners.
Shit ton of Clay Thompson,, even Rip Helmson.
Yeah, like the way they shoot the ball.
And at that time you only could shoot.
People were shooting like three or four,
like players three or four threes a game.
And that was low key like max.
Like three or four threes you might be having a hot night.
Even like a guy like JJ Reddick,
he was way before his time.
You know what I mean?
I remember when I first came in the league,
if you shot a first side three,
like coming up in transition,
you was out of pocket.
Like, a pull up three in transition,
you was wowing.
Like, you bugging.
I think the first person I started seeing
do that was Chauncey Billups.
Yeah, but-
Chauncey Billups was the, I'm not saying nothing,
you know, of course, JJ Reddick too,
but Chauncey was a pull up. No, Chauncey Billups. Chauncey Billups was the, I'm not saying nothing, you know, of course, JJ Redding too, but Chauncey was a pull up.
No, Chauncey was cold at that,
but like you had to be like Chauncey Billups.
But Chauncey had a trust of his coach
that most players did not have, bro.
I was saying you could be anybody now
and you could shoot a pull up first side three
if you open, like that was Chauncey Billups.
Like Chuckie Atkins was the one coming in doing that.
You know what I'm saying? Chuckie Atkins boy, he had a long career. Yeah, but I was just tosscey Billups. Like Chuckie Atkins wasn't coming in doing that. You know what I'm saying?
Chuckie Atkins boy, he had a long career.
Yeah, but I was just consummate back up.
Chuckie would come in there pulling that.
Chuckie was going to get that ball,
you know, penetrate, get the ball to ripping him.
And then he'll shoot a, you know,
come back around to him, he'll shoot that three.
Open top of the key shot.
Yeah, he ain't pulling up in transition.
Shout out to Chauncey Billups, man.
If you're a young guard, watch Chauncey Billings, man.
Learn something.
Elite point guard for sure.
Clippers beat the Pelicans yesterday 116 to 113.
MPs, he 35 PS, James Harden 27 and 4.
MPs, you know what I mean?
You all put that back in your back.
Is MP an all-star?
Right.
Is he an all-star?
Yes, bro.
I don't know, man.
I don't see he not deserved to be MP.
I don't know, bro. Go to MP stats, he averaged at 24.
He ain't getting no assists.
MP you ain't passing.
MP ain't passing at bottom.
That's why Jay's throwing up my team.
We took Paul George spot.
Don't ask too much.
Okay, let's look at Paul.
Let's compare Paul George and Norman Powell.
Oh, please don't go to Paul George's stats right now.
No, I'll just say that.
No, today.
We can even do last year's stats right now. No, I'll just say that. No, today. We can even do last year's stats.
Cause-
Well, I'm a-
Paul George is for Max Dill, so if I'm Norman Powell.
I speak high on MP on this show,
but he is not fucked with Paul George.
Oh, we're an overall body of work,
but we're saying compare-
Oh, right now, I'm MP too.
I'm saying I'm going to the drum boards,
and I'm giving them that.
I'm asking for a Max Dill from the Clippers, or whatever Paul George asks P.G. I'm saying I'm going to the drawing boards and I'm asking for a max deal from the Clippers
or whatever Paul George I asked for.
If I'm in P. I'm gonna go compare my stats for Paul George.
Okay, if he averaged 22 last year
and y'all thought about giving him a three year deal
at whatever number, I'm gonna be like, I averaged 24.
We still winning.
That was with Kawhi too.
Speaking of Kawhi, Kawhi's targeted to be back
in the next two weeks.
How y'all feel about that?
Him and MPZ, special.
I don't believe it, but.
Special, yeah.
You don't believe it?
I don't either, bro.
They said that he was targeting on the first week of January
whereas I had an extra week on there to give him some grants.
He's supposed to be back in the next two weeks.
But I ain't, you know, no sweat on nobody's paper or nothing
but people like Scottie Barnes, my max player.
Most definitely.
Yeah, Norman Powell's a max player.
EP, EP for Max!
EP.
Hey boy, you don't know Steve Ballmer.
I ain't doing this trying to get some tickets, bro.
I've been speaking how I do.
I am EP for the Max!
You know what I mean?
I nicknamed you for a reason.
This was last year you earned your nickname
because I saw it in you, bro, Paws.
But like, yeah, Max Me, bro.
Max Me, bro.
He be killing for sure.
Y'all should respect.
He be killing, bro.
I'm just saying, if I'm him, man,
y'all was thinking about giving Paul George,
I mean, Paul George coming with Superstar, too, though.
Yeah, it's different.
He brings fans and stuff.
And he got that 22 off being the first opportunity.
And I got a shoe, bro.
No, I ain't no one. You know, I love MPs but the MPs bro, it's probably quiet.
Yeah, Team Shoe for sure.
It's probably quiet.
But I'm just saying, maybe he deserve an All-Star though.
We gotta see who's All-Star.
If I'm averaging 20 seed, this is the beef that I got.
I'm saying you gotta look at the West forwards though.
You got a bra.
Man, it's quiet bro.
Our West for the forwards bro. The MPs, 25. It's bra. Man, it's quiet, bro. I wish for the forwards, bro.
RMP, 25.
It's bra.
KD.
KD.
If you go through.
I'll let y'all do your thing, bro.
I'm average at 25.
Go to the Western Conference teams with me real quick.
Yeah, that's gonna be the tough part about-
I'm average at 16.
James Harden will be All-Stars this year.
Has to be. Yeah, for sure.
But you got, so is he Thunder?
That's Shay.
And J-Dub. I'm Slee. Yeah, I hear it. Oh, there, so is he Thunder? That's Shay. And J-Dub.
I'm sleep.
Yeah, I hear it.
Oh, man, we're going back to that conversation.
So who make it, J-Dub make it over.
No.
826 and 5, bro.
We're going back to that best team.
Y'all gotta stop, bro.
No, bro.
No, Norman Powell.
Over J-Dub?
Is fucking killing, yes, bro.
Norman Powell.
Send Shay.
And be cool.
Be smooth, bro. So no J and be cool, be smooth bro.
So no J Dub, it's Norman Powell.
So how you get James Harden in Norman Powell
but you don't get J Dub and Shay?
We a better duo bro.
No y'all not.
You crazy.
You crazy.
You crazy.
What do you make sense, MP is mad.
Nah bro, 21, five and five.
You can't have this nigga in the All Star game bro.
He don't even see the description.
And you wouldn't see him being all-star?
He about to be there shooting mini pull-ups and all-star games.
Get my boy a jersey, bro.
All right, I think you said three forwards.
So you got Brian, KD, J-Dub.
J-Dub is 16, bro.
Can we go back to the break?
Okay, so we go with the,
Wimby's definitely make it, but he's a big.
Timberwolves, AE.
AE might make it. Oh, they have to make it All but he's a big. Timberwolves, AE. AE might make it.
Oh, AE might make it, all-star game, for sure.
LeBron, AD gonna make the all-star game, for sure.
Nuggets, you gonna get Yokish.
I don't know if you get anybody else in the team.
Mavericks.
Luka out, though.
Yeah, he's out.
Well, he ain't gonna be out until then, but I'm sure.
I mean, I don't think he gonna play.
Come on, y'all, y'all.
I think MP gonna take Luka's spot. Anybody on the Rockets get an All-Star spot?
You just big.
Out, it's a gun.
Okay, it's a big.
Yeah, but MP gonna be a replacement for Luka.
Do Kyrie make the All-Star team?
Kyrie better make the All-Star team.
Yeah.
John Murray gonna make the All-Star team too.
He too, he out teaming.
Hey, give him a rip jersey, it's crazy. He definitely gonna he out to me. Hey, everybody that got a rep jersey is crazy.
He definitely gonna be.
I mean, I ain't mad at it if he do.
I won't even make it.
Shit, max out, FB.
Look at these teams, y'all.
Let's go scroll to the bottom.
Y'all got Norman Powell fucked up, bruh.
Yeah, cause nobody on the Pelicans making it.
The Trail Base is jazz.
And if somebody from the fucking Pelicans make it,
Labello Ball better fucking make the All-Star team.
First and foremost, Lloyd Marklin, he's an All-Star here. First and foremost,
Lloyd Marklin, he's an All-Star player.
I'll just say, I don't think you can get two
on a Clippers.
Two off the Clippers is crazy if you don't get two.
If you don't get two from the Thunder, come on, bro.
Nah, bro, you 12, 16, bro, no.
It's over with, bro.
You too young, bro.
You say you too young, nah, bro.
Lauren Powell's gonna be the oldest, most improved player ever, bro. No, it's over with, bro. You too young, bro. You say you too young. Nah, bro. Lauren Powell's gonna be the oldest, most improved player ever, bro.

You are not a real fighter.
You will never be discussed anywhere in boxing history.
Ever.
Fake Paul.
The movie is The Apprentice and the movie is about young Donald Trump and his apprentice
Roy Cohen.
Real character obviously, both real characters.
It kind of has a Scarface vibe to it, which I thought was very interesting.

Real talk.
I ain't joking, I'm serious though.
He is older, bro, for real.
Shout out to every music.
Give my nigga an All-Star nine, bro.
He deserved me an All-Star.
He deserved it, but... Nah, he deserved to be an all star.
He deserved it but.
Nah, y'all niggas wild.
If he make it and J.W. don't make it.
When be gon' make it?
He's an all star as my smack to ass,
but we'll talk about that for a different conversation.
Nah, but I hope he make it too.
Shout out to MP, may have a great year.
Nah for sure, he was killing 35,
definitely under sneezed that he been hooping all year,
especially standing on business.
CJ McClellan had 33 yesterday,
got to show some love for that, free that man too. Pelicans, y'all gotta get people out of here, man.
There's a lot of quality players in the team
that deserve real homes, man.
Y'all here, bullshit.
I don't know where CJ McClellan can go.
Send him to Milwaukee, bro.
Him and Dame link up, let him go crazy again.
I don't know who you trade out of Milwaukee, Dame,
you go get him.
Oh, shit.
The Pelicans, I don't know what their asking price is.
They probably just looking to move on,
give them co-picks in the rotation player, maybe.
You probably get it done.
All these second round pick moves,
you see what happened with Dennis Schroeder.
If you can move people for second round picks,
obviously a different situation with the Nets,
but if you can get them going for that, make it happen.
They ain't got too much to lose,
and he'll definitely help that team.
I mean, but Dennis Schroeder
about to be an unrestricted free agent.
That is true, but what CJ's deal?
I don't know what CJ's on.
I'm sure he on a deal.
I think he had signed the extension not too long ago.
Maybe two years ago.
Yeah, we'll look it up another time, but yeah.
Free that man too.
Man, 76 to beat the Blades yesterday, 125 to 103.
Built to ass situation and B had 37 to nine.
Tyrese Maxxie 23 and three.
No, A, Simon.
I'm part of the layup.
25, four and four.
Then he fucked the layup.
That's who might need to get traded.
Simon, yeah.
Yeah, him and Jimmy Gray, that gotta get up out of there, bro.
But he's another person who could go help A-Team for sure.
He's a verified bucket.
I would like to see him in Denver.
He would, hey.
I'd love to see him in Denver, bro.
He wouldn't be bad in Denver.
They ain't gonna trade him in the conference,
but he wouldn't be bad. Yeah, they won't do that at all.
He wouldn't be bad. Damn, 76 or six do that at all. He wouldn't be bad.
Damn, 76 to six are the last seven.
I don't even know why we put this up here,
have they figured it out?
No.
Why not?
They're playing good basketball.
Go to their record.
Go to the standings, please.
Bless you.
Thank you.
Obviously wouldn't be bad.
I mean, definitely make a difference,
but they are what?
They're 13 and 17, they started out.
On a six game dinner win streak, and they only got 13 wins? I mean, they make a difference, but they are what? They 13 and 17, they started out. On a six game, then they're a win streak
and they only got 13 wins?
I mean, they started out so bad.
I mean, and be missed majority of the games.
I think, man, by the time this end,
by the time All-Star break, they'd be, dang, they're ace.
Everybody help me, man.
Paul Georgia's still gotta find his way, though.
Yeah, he hasn't been, he's been struggling.
You know, he only had nine last night,
only after 13 the last five, but.
But they won without him though.
Most definitely.
I'm just getting my hate off right now
because we're listed like you said.
By all star break, bro,
if they catch another win streak, bro,
they're gonna be a problem to deal with.
Yeah, they're gonna be in seven.
This is a team you don't wanna face in the playoffs.
So the Cavs, all these guys are really nervous
about them being the eighth seed or whatever.
You know what I mean?
Because that's a bad matchup.
That's a bad matchup.
Imagine being the number one seed in the East having a crazy, you playing a team that's
probably better than you.
And you get in beat in the first round.
Like that fucking sucks.
Yeah.
Cause shout out to Jared Allen.
I don't think he want that smoke.
And then PG, he's still capable.
And then Tyrese Maxxie.
He just in a little slump right now.
We know how we feel about Tyrese Maxxie.
Oh yeah. Oh, yeah.
But show me, get well soon to the Blazers as well.
Glad my young and back, though.
But show Kings beat the Mavs yesterday.
Told you 110 to 100.
The Mavs saw a lot of people yesterday, so they should have won that game.
33, six and eight for De'Aaron Fox, Sabon to 17, 16 to seven.
Just to deal with, he was killing yesterday.
30 bar. PJ Watson had 28 as well did what he was killing yesterday, 30 bar.
PJ Washington had 28 as well.
They almost beat them yesterday, missing a lot of starters,
but this is the same word for the Mavs
and say more for the Kings.
I mean, they just.
Good dub for the Kings.
Shout out to De'Aaron Fox too.
He spoke on, you know what I mean,
that shit loose ass, he said none of that shit is true.
You know what I mean, but y'all can run with that narrative.
Y'all want to.
Yeah, that was an, back and forth.
I think that's the power of players having a voice.
He was just like, hey, we would've known that,
not trying to correct a little bit,
but trying to get some information to it a little bit.
But I would've known that, bro, I'm just saying.
But I do love the fact that everybody's just like,
nobody wanted to fire Mike Brown.
Well, somebody's lying because he got fired.
They said he was underperforming.
Damn!
That's what the Kings people said. He was underperforming. Yeah! That's what the Kings people said.
He was underperforming.
Yeah, D.A. and Fox was just saying, bro,
just, you know, do your thing,
but don't put it to me like I'm on some LeBron shit.
Yeah, he ain't a coach killer by no means.
Yeah, like.
And you can't say that the organization is trash
and they're terrible and then blame D.A. and Fox
because if they're that type of organization, trust me,
and that disrespect to D'Aaron Fox,
he wouldn't have that type of pool, bro.
That's just their decision, but that is crazy.
Shout out to Mike Brunger, that peda though.
Pull up tonight, we got a job for you.
Tonight's games, going to New Year's Eve.
They got some matinee games today, it's crazy.
Raptors at Celtics.
I'm gonna go with the Celts.
I was surprised it was a pause on that one. Okay. I'm going with Toronto. Bucks at Celtics. I'm gonna go with the Celts. I was surprised it was a pause on that one.
I'm good with Toronto.
Bucks at Pacers.
Pacers Moneyline.
Damn, my boys was in town.
I didn't even hit them up.
They gonna be in town for a while too, I think.
Free money for the Pacers right there.
Get that money.
Nah, Bucks gonna win that one though.
Clippers at Spurs.
Clips. Mm. I'm gonna go Spurs for some reason.. Clippers at Spurs. Clips.
I'm gonna go Spurs for some reason.
I'm gonna go Spurs.
No, I got no, I don't care.
T Wolves at Thunder.
Thunder.
Yeah.
Okay, I'm rolling.
Grizzlies at Suns.
Suns.
I'm going Grizzlies.
Jive out, so I'm going Suns.
Cavs at Lakers. I'm gonna say, I. Caves at Lakers.
I'm gonna take the Lakers.
You're gonna take the Lakers?
Yeah, I think Brian playing right, take the Lakers.
That's gonna be an interesting game for sure.
The back to back, I'm gonna run with the Cavs, man.
See what happens.
But like you said, it is a Cavs.
Brian might fuck around a kill.
We're at five buckets, B-Head, who was getting to it?
I'm giving it to the youngsters in college,
Ace Bailey and Dillon Harper.
Triple Duh.
You know what I mean?
Dillon Harper had a triple Duh yesterday.
Ace had 24 and eight, so that's what I'm giving
my verified bucks to today.
Man, they was killing yesterday.
Young lottery picks on the way.
I'ma show some love to NB, man.
37 to nine, 76 to be catching a lot of flack.
That's nothing to sneeze at at all, bro.
He was killing yesterday for sure.
I'm gonna agree with, be him with Dylan Harper.
I was watching that game and to see how he controlled
the pace and playing against Columbia team
that was 11 and one, wasn't a bad team.
So they played well yesterday.
Shout out to D.A. and Fox though too.
You know what I mean?
Still playing through all that smut.
A and then B, you know what I mean, old school. He called him old school. You 50 after that. You know, I mean? Still playing through all that smut. And Embiid, you know what I mean, old school.
You talking about old school?
You're 50 after that.
You talking about old school?
Yeah, he's Brian A, still doing his thing.
I don't think that gets spoke on enough.
Who older?
Embiid or Norman Powell?
Oh, definitely Embiid.
Embiid was supposed to get drafted in 03.
But he's still.
So, for you to still be kicking and killing, bro,
that's a, it don't go unnoticed, King.
You don't go unnoticed.
He's supposed to be the 03 drag class.
Yeah, you don't go unnoticed.
For sure, man, last but not least,
I got y'all some love with Joker, man.
I know we get normalized by it,
but 36, 22, and 11 is fucking crazy, bro.
He was whooping shit yesterday.
Last one of the year, man, be here, get well soon.
Who needs some encouragement going to New Year?
What my dog, whatever he say,
well, y'all got some names on this, bro.
Yeah. Charlamagne Legay.
Gershaw Yella. Bala-se-le-le-se-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le-le It's going so hard, man. Chill out, young. Uh oh. Hey!
Okay, Kat, you're busy. Your hand, too.
Hey!
Yo mama, that's raw.
Play that again, bro.
Welcome the young boy to the league.
That's hard.
On the island, Kat?
Yeah.
Young boy, excuse me.
Twins?
Hey, but the left?
Yeah, Kat's a starter.
Oh, without question.
Without a question.
I don't want a cat jersey, but that move crazy.
I got it.
In the leggings, yeah.
I do need a cat New York jersey sign.
I got the timber woods, I need the cat.
Damn, he skilled in the motherfucker.
Yeah, man.
I told y'all a long time ago.
My Lord, bro.
You just said that very, very, very early on
about how good Kat was, even back in Minnesota today.
You spoke on that highly.
One of these days we're gonna have to go back
and talk about how that Timbo was straight
fucked up the Easter conference, but not today.
It's a Gershon, Post-Rod's, Denny,
I beat her yesterday, crazy.
There's some names on this motherfucker.
For sure.
Oh yeah.
Charlamagne McGahey.
Hey. My girl, DJ Envy.
And you with the breakfast club.
You know what's crazy?
Try that one more time.
He got back in the league because of the Olympics
and Duncan O'Brien, that's fire.
Yeah, he had a great 2024.
And he's been playing great.
Like he's really been playing well for the six years,
not even trying to be funny.
Nah, he been hooping.
He been hooping, He been hooping.
Even that game against the Celtics, he played well,
made some big shots.
And tonight, I think he might have 18, 19 points
in this game.
You know what the crazy part about it is,
he came to this team, you know what I'm saying,
after having a great Olympics,
had a different suitors.
He's like, all right, I'm gonna go to this team,
I'm gonna get to play and we're gonna have,
you know what I'm saying, aspirations.
Boy, I know he was shitty
the first two months up there in Philly.
Cause they was boo boo. Cause he was getting a chance to play. Shit, you know, when you saying? Aspirations, boy. I know he was shitty the first two months up there in Philly. Cause they was good boo.
He was hype.
Cause he was getting a chance to play.
Shit, you know, when you come back to the league,
it ain't always guaranteed.
I mean, you signed, but that don't mean
you gonna be in the rotation.
And while they was out, he got a chance to show
what he was doing, he was playing well.
And now he's stuck in the rotation.
Now he's about to solidify himself as a real NBA player.
And he gonna be, probably get paid.
I was gonna say, average, you having a 10?
Nah, you ain't. Oh yeah, for sure. You in was gonna say average, average in 10? Nah, nah, nah, for sure.
You in the rotation for sure, you getting 10 piece.
Another good one, I mean,
the get well soon goes to Joe Button.
My boy was naked outside the apartments and shit.
Oh yeah, the sleepwalking situation.
Get well soon, Joe, man.
Get well soon, Lord.
I love that they're back in Park Scrib though.
I always liked the OG Joe Button vibes.
When they was in the park's basement
with the paints behind, that's the real vibes, man.
Oh, that's what they doing now?
Yeah, they back in there for a temporary situation.
Get well soon, Joe.
You know we fuck with the JVP up here.
I'm definitely gotta show some,
get well soon to the Pelicans.
10 straight losses, man.
19 to the last 20.
Yeah, they trying to get Cooper Flag down in the note, man.
Yeah, I think Cooper might be going to the note.
Damn.
Hey, do that Noya clap.
Hey, get him some Reeboks soon as he touchdowns.
That song was really weak too.
You disrespectful.
Shout out to Whack and Skip, man.
We don't go disrespect.
Do that Noya clap.
You got Juve now, hey.
I don't realize.
You got Juve now, hey.
I love Juve.
No, you disrespect all the Juve classics.
I see it.
Juve singles are elite.
And albums, nigga.
But I just, you know.
They had a concept the other day.
He was, yeah, a Hot Boys reunion concept.

but I appreciate Juvis now, bro.
