For me? Chris Carter has some words for Ocho last week. He said there were points. Oh, yep. He said there were points in Chad's career that you had to go out there and tell him what to do because he couldn't get open to save his life. He couldn't get open against average guys.

Chad Johnson scored double digit touchdowns one time in his 11 years. I think I scored double digit touchdowns six times. Scoring the football is the number one play as a receiver. No, I was not a burner. I ran four, six, four, six, five, but can do it every single day. Can do it for four quarters and the consistent at it.

Ocho? You know what that get? Child, please. What are we talking about? I don't know. I'm just trying to figure out what... I have a question before you even go. What the hell does that matter?

What does it matter? Okay, you scored double digit touchdowns. Okay, cool. You want a cookie? Right. Okay. Julio Jones. What brought this on?

Why is my name even being brought up? That's what I'm trying to figure out. I don't know why it was brought up. I don't, because like I said, Ocho, me, I don't really listen to anybody else's podcast. I got enough things to try to, you know, to try to make our podcast better than what it is. So I don't really have time to pay attention, but it just kept popping up, not only on, kept popping up on Twitter. And then I saw it on the internet. I'm like, okay, what brought this about? I said, did Ocho say something about him?

Or what transpired? For one, you know I don't talk about people. Let's start with- We definitely don't talk about people that do what we do. Never. And you know, I don't talk about nobody, you know? But congratulations on everything you said. I'm happy for you, Chris Cardi,

your double digit touchdowns and your hall of fame and all that other good stuff. I love you. I wish you continued success and whatever it is you got going on, baby. I know what we doing over here though. I know where I'm going. I'm going that way.

And if you feel you can beat me doing at what you do best, whatever it is that they do. I feel I can beat them. And if you feel, if you feel you can beat me doing that, what you do best, whatever it may be,

you gonna have to show me. You gonna have to show me. Matter of fact, Chris Carter, I lock Chris Carter ass up right now. Talk about what he did. You should, he's 60. Huh? He's 60.

One thing about the wide receiver camp, the workshop that I just had, is I'm not just talking, I'm not just saying what it should look like.

I'm not there with my cleats and my shoes on, what? At that running full speed, I still got it, you hear me? So it's one thing, once you go back in that structured environment, you know where the X is and O's, and you have a receiver coach, they actually never really played the game. They just know the game based on paper

and what it should look like. Yeah. Like I'm not there running them routes with you. I'm not only just, I'm not telling you what it should look like. I can actually display it and show you. Boy, this is, this is Picasso. Yeah.

I will say this, love. I've known CC a long time. His brother and I used to hang when we went to the Superbowls and stuff. I would just say this love, I've known CC a long time. Several times tonight, he's shown himself to be the... Zach, nobody, we said this, no quarterback is asked to carry a load like Lamar Jackson.

He's, for the most part, we already know he's a quarterback, so we know he's their passing game, but he's also the engine of their running game. And even though, what do you have tonight? He only had 45 yards. They only had I mean, it was I mean, you look at the Ocho. They only had 26 carries. They had 26. They had 26 carries for basically 102 yards. And a lot of that was a scrabble.

You remember he had that long 30 yard run. That was a nice one. Right before the half, they ended up getting them in field goal range. And so but yeah, we understand what's asked of Lamar on a weekly basis, because no other quarterback, I mean, can run like, of the top quarterback, obviously Justin Fields has legs like he has.

But Justin Fields, you know, that situation is what it is. But of the top quarterback, the Burrows, the Mahomes, the Herberts, the Dac, Tua, none of them is asked to shoulder a load like Lamar. Yeah, and the funny thing, what I really like, what they've done for Lamar, and they can even improve it more, is the supporting cast that he put around him, to take the onus and the load off of his shoulders on not having to run, which is why I like the fact that he's now becoming

what I like to consider more of a complete pastor because you have receivers that can get open, actually get open in one-on-one situations. You ain't got to scheme everybody because you ain't gonna be able to scheme people open all the damn time. You guys, they- And we're gonna talk about this a little later with the other team that we talked about. And what I tell you, Ocho all the damn time. You guys say, and we're going to talk about this a little later with the

other team that we talked about. And what I tell you, Ocho, them, them, uh, oh, listen, did you see all sides today? I'm just asking you, did you see all sides offensive today? Yeah. But Hey, you know, the NFL, you see what happened, Ocho is that all the teams started sending the offside plays in. Ocho, they've called more offsides on offensive wide receivers this year than I can recall. I don't remember that many calls in my 14-year playing career. I don't know.

Do you remember? Honestly, no. And the fact that it was worth our attention when the Chiefs had Kaderius lining up off sides, not everybody, they opened the floodgates for it to be called every single time. And you know what I like to do? You know what I like to do? And I can say it now because I'm not playing no more. I like to cheat the ball a little bit. I like to cheat the ball a little bit.

Just a tad bit, because I know the ref's not gonna call it. It's not like egregious, completely off sides. I like to get a little head, just a little bit. Just a little bit. Maybe my face mask is the ball. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? I'm not gonna block his view.

You just can't block his view. His face mask, he's still gonna look down the line and see the ball. Yes, and, here look, Red Hood, you disappoint me thinking Brock Pirty is as good as Lamar Jackson and thinking he's a leak and pre man. They I don't I don't like what you know, I before you even answer that before you even ask them, I hate the comparison with quarterbacks.

I hate the comparison with quarterback for the simple fact everything is stat based for one rightfully so as you always tell me because numbers don't lie. But the skill sets are complete. They don't tell the whole story though. But the skill sets between Brock Pertty and Lamar Jackson are completely different. Yes. Completely different.

Ocho, Ocho, remember when they was having this early on when he beat the Cowboys? I was one of the only analysts that said Brock Pertty is an elite. Hey, they was on your head. They was on your head about that too. Yes, yes, yes. But here's the thing.

They got a, see, they don't wanna listen to what I have to say. They just wanna take snippets of he said this over here, he said that over there. I never said Brock Purdy was elite. As a matter of fact, I was one of the few that said he wasn't elite. Second of all, just because someone is playing good,

that doesn't make them better. You can have a better year than a quarterback and not be a better player. What is so hard to understand about that, Ocho? There are a lot of people that won MVP during Michael Jordan tenure. Does that mean they were better players or they had a better year?

That's okay. Same thing with LeBron. Same thing with Kobe. Y'all got to stop this. See y'all trying to paint this picture. Now, none of y'all jumped in and said, Shannon, thanks for supporting Lamar because when everybody else was telling him to switch positions and go play wide receiver, I was the one that said, I saw the man win the Heisman trophy, throwing the

ball at the quarterback position. I believe he could at the quarterback position. I believe he can do that in the NFL when he was for the MVP. I remember his first with his first playoff game against the Chargers. They were still in San Diego then and they lost and he didn't play well. I said, God, the guy's a rookie and he's not right now able

to throw the ball well enough in order to win. And what did he do? He came back and from start to finish, he was the MVP. 36 and six, 36 touchdown, six interceptions. I rolled with him, but they disregard all that. But see, what y'all want, and I'm gonna go ahead and say it. See, y'all got a problem with me. Y'all don't want me to critique black players.

As long as I'm critiquing the white players, because when I was at Baker Mayfield and Tony Romo and all those white guys neck Y'all didn't say a check a But now if Lamar Jackson plays good, I got no problem if that plays good I got no problem, but I cannot in good conscience know the game Like I know it played it 14 years and I study it as if I'm a coach. See something that's going on. I told you all from day one, the Cowboys concerning because of red zone offense. And what happens when the defense don't get picked sixes?

Oh, now all of a sudden, man, was right. But that's not what you said at the time. You said I was a hater. But I told you from day one about the Chief's offense, the skill position and the offensive line, ah, Unk, shut up. And what did I say, Ocho, remember? Man, if Valdez Gatlin had to hold that ball,

I said, Ocho, you gotta be careful, because see, if you base somebody's offense on one play, look at it at its totality. Look how many times they dropped the ball. Look how many times Patrick Mahomes had to run for his life just to find somebody that was open or take off running. Man, y'all stop this. I ain't got no agenda against Lamar.

Yes, I played for the Ravens. This is how it works. I played for the Ravens. I played my ass off for the Ravens. I was fortunate enough, helped to win a Super Bowl. Now I'm an analyst. What is so hard to understand about that? Just like I critique the Broncos

Play 12 years for them. I'm not gonna stop guys. I don't care what y'all say How many times y'all see it? I hate Lamar. I got an agenda I do have an agenda to be the best at what I do and none of y'all to be the best at what I do. And none of y'all, nobody that's in this chat, no more football and can break it down and analyze the game like I can. So y'all use y'all criteria to hide y'all critique and grade players and I'm gonna use mine.

But listen, I understand where people are coming from. I see I'm on both sides of the coin, obviously. I think people think more emotion as a, they think more with emotion and being a fan. Feelings aren't facts though. Emotions and being a fan of obviously the team and the player.

So they want it to be one way. They want your views to be Aligned with theirs and when they don't align with theirs, yes, then there's a problem Oh, you don't like this person or you hate on this person but again, you have a job to do the criteria in which you judge and Critique people is much different than those who are actually fans of the player and fans of the team people have to understand that fans of the player and fans of the team. People have to understand that. Yes, Marcus Hosea, calm down, Ravon fans.

You've been fair with your critique. Appreciate that, Marcus. I like to think I'm always fair, but I just gotta call it like I see it. It is, and I know it's hard to understand. I was the first one to say about the Eagles. Y'all didn't wanna hear me. Y'all called me a hater.

Eagles fans called me a hater. I say, you don't run the ball. Jalen Hurts is turning the ball over too much and your defense don't get to the quarterback and you don't take the ball away. So if you give it away and you don't take it away and you can't possess the ball to keep your defense off the field,

you're gonna be in trouble and you're not gonna look as powerful and as potent as you did last year. We're the best team in the NFL, but never fully healthy. JK's been gone, Mark is gone, Staley is part time left tackle, and we still find ways. That's because of Harbaugh. That's because the Ravens don't make excuses.

I mean, when I went there in 2000, you play like a Raven. It doesn't matter who's in the ball game. You play hard. And that's what John Harbaugh, I can honestly say, ball game, you play hard. And that's what John Harbor, I can honestly say, those guys are gonna play hard. Think about the great players that's come and gone from Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, Suggs, Ed Reed, doesn't matter, it doesn't matter who's in the lineup,

it's what you have, the uniform that you have on. You have on that purple and black, or you have on that white and purple. Well, we know who we are, we know what we represent. The standard is the standard. You play to a level, no matter who's in the game, no matter who you play. And that's why the Ravens have been able to find success,

no matter who's in the ball game. They don't always win, you're not gonna win them all. But if you play hard and you play for the man next to you, you're not going to have a problem. And Arthur Smith spoke about marrying the run, a heavy offense, to the pass happy quarterback. We didn't bring Aaron here to sign DK for all that money to go run the wishbone. DJ, now that they have, you know, the Steelers have always had a defense that could get out to the quarterback. They kind of slacked off a little bit of that when they had Ben and AB and Leveon.

They were more of a pass happy offense and the defense kind of struggled. Seemingly they gotten back. They got TJ now. They got Highsmith and they got Minka and they got Porter Jr. on one side. So they got a really nice camp, Hayward, they got him. So they got a really nice defense. Now they got Aaron Rodgers, they signed DK, solid offensive line, I don't think it's great, but it's okay. Fryer Mooth, they got Calvin Austin III, they got some decent receivers.

What is your expectation of the Steelers this year? What's the ceiling for the Steelers? Can they win the division? Can they make a deep run in the playoffs? Can they get to the Super Bowl? Can they win the division? Can they make a deep run in the playoffs? Can they get to the Super Bowl? I mean, obviously Aaron Rodgers in my eyes, man. He's... I'll put him as a top 10, 15 quarterback all the time in my book. So I think he's a guy obviously coming off the injury last year.

Or was that the year before? The year before. The year before, right. And then obviously last year really didn't have the success we thought he would have. I think it's gonna be tough. Like you said, the offensive line is really not the strength of that team, you know what I'm saying? And obviously Aaron Rodgers, he's older now. What is he, 39, 40?

He's 40 years old. He'll be 41 at the start of the season. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? So I think obviously he can't be touched. He's not the young A-Rod. He can't move like he used to move. So I just don't see, why would you go get rid of, what's the name of the receiver?

Oh, you talking about, oh, Pickens, Pickens. George Pickens, yeah. I don't understand, why would you get rid of George Pickens if you had in hopes that you was gonna sign to Aaron Rodgers? So for me, I know you got DK Metcalf over there. I just don't honestly, I'm gonna be real sure. I don't see them winning this division right now. Not with my boy, L Jack, not with my twin L Jack over there in Baltimore.

And I ain't gonna lie, man, I think my boy Shadour gonna get in that starting job over there. I think Cleveland gonna be a little something this year too. So in that division, you got Cincinnati, you got Borough, you got my boy Ocho team over there, you got Jamar Chase, you got T Higgins. I mean, there's some cop in that division over there, man. I don't think it's going to be that sweet for them dudes to win that. I can't write that off and say they're going to win it this year. I can't. Ocho, what you thinking? They ran the ball the fourth most last year. Obviously, Rogers wants

to throw the football. He's always had success throwing the football. Obviously, like D Jack said, not the success that probably he thought he would have or everybody had the expectations because he was supposed to be the missing ingredient for the Jets to take that next step. Obviously it didn't pan out. They moved on after two years. What is your expectations for the Steelers?

Well, listen, my expectations are for them to compete. They're going to compete not only the division, but whatever their schedule may look like because they do have Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is not the Aaron Rodgers of old, but Aaron Rodgers is better than what you had on your team before he signed right before minicamp. He gives them a chance to compete week in and week out

as far as winning division. That's not likely. The division winners will probably be either the Bengals or the Ravens. I'm gonna be realistic here based on the record between us. I'm going to piggyback on what LeSean said too. At some point, Joe Flacco will probably lose that starting job to Chidor and his tenure in Cleveland will also start. So outside of that, as many people that may hate Aaron Rogers for the way he acts and for all the stuff he does off the field, some of the things he says on camera and some of the things he says on

I said 20. 27. For what I've been able to do is the third most viewed conversation interview, whatever you want to call it. I call myself a conversationalist. I have I like to have

conversations. So people say it's an interview. 32nd is the second place. So I'm really, I really hope that I get Joe Rogan has two. Joe Rogan, if I'm not mistaken, has a 57 million. Bill Lazar, Bill, I think that's Lazar. He's a guy that came out about the USA, knows about UFOs. And he had a 32 million view episode with Elon Musk. Okay, okay.

So I definitely think in the first, I mean, but we had 27 with three days. Yeah, so you gonna surpass his 32. I definitely believe we can get that 32. Yeah, you gonna surpass his 32, so you'll be the second most watched. The 57th was over a four year. So there's an outside chance,

you have people gonna go back. You might catch that too. there's an outside chance people gonna go back. You might, you might catch that too. If you're on day three, if you're on day three and we at 2027. Yeah. Well, you might catch that. It's still doing about, it's still doing about, about five, about five to seven million views a day. Yeah, that's the thing with, when it comes to somebody like a Cat Williams, who is a comedian, and when you speak,

you know us, we love things that are messy at times, and it creates traction, it creates traction, and then the truths or the lies behind it, people can make the assessments on their own and do their own homework. It gets it gets it gets everybody churning. It gets the noise, it gets it gets the going and everybody chirping, everybody want to watch. And you got everybody named Alma talking about that got their interview. Yeah, they are.

I mean, I have a lot of people that have reached out. People that don't really that don't really listen to or subscribe to club Shae Shae or know anything about that. But they, I mean, because it was on every news network, it was on ET. People are talking about it in the basketball locker rooms and NFL and every circle. People have talked about it. And what's disappointing to me, but because there are people that, that do what you and I do that had so much to say. And, and it's only because of jealousy, because I guarantee you, if, if, if cat was on their podcast and did exactly what he did on my podcast, they would have never said what they're saying.

Oh, he let, no, that was the decision that I had to make in a split second. Oh, Joe. Right. Right. And what I always try to do is not talk over the gas. They come. OK. Tell your side. Tell your story. Tell it without me interrupted. And then if there's a point that I think I need to add or I need to, you know, re question. OK, we'll go there.

But in that situation, Ocho, I've got to make a split second. I know I got card, okay, I want to start at this place. But he said, I want to tell you why I came. You offer a safe place, a safe space for people to say and to get things, okay, fine. And then he went. Now I'm teed up to ready to go in the direction that I think, because at the end of the day, Ocho,

even though he went the direction that he went for 30 minutes, I still had to have structure. I still had to get the train back on the track. Even though I don't think he was off the track, he wanted to get that off his chest. Now he got that off his chest. Okay, now let's get to where'd you come from?

How did you come to be? How did you leave Ohio? Why did you leave Ohio? How did you end up in Florida as a 13 year old with a rock wallop puppy in the back of an 18 wheeler? How did that come about? What was the thought process? When did you know this was gonna happen?

Okay, what made you leave Florida and go to OKC? Oklahoma. But man, it's just everybody got something to say. Man, bro, that man, it's like everybody, but they never said anything. When I let Steve say what he said, when I let said what he said, what he said, when I let everybody say what they said,

nobody said anything. Not all of a sudden because it goes viral. I guarantee you, Ocho, if this video had done 2.7 million views, nobody would have said a damn thing. No, not at all, not at all, not at all. Because Steve Harvey, go ahead, go ahead, Ocho. They just upset that, I'm assuming you got the interview.

I did. You got the interview. I don't think there's a space or a person out there that I think he would have felt comfortable with, where he would have been as open and truthful with. He was literally open because when you're talking to you, there's a certain level of comfort, there's a certain aura, there's a certain energy that you have, obviously being in locker rooms, being able to talk to people, and it provides a certain type of, I don't even know how to explain it. It's a comfort level that they have,

that they're gonna be able to tell their side of the story without any judgment from me. There we go, there we go. At the end of the day, that's what it's about. There are very few people like that, there are very few people like that. Very, very few people like that. Very few people. I'm not here to judge. I've asked you to, I mean, there have been times that people have reached out to me to come on, but most of the time I reach out and I'm asking, you know, if you're free, you know, hey, get back to me. Sometimes I

have to go through a manager. Sometimes I have to go through a publicist. Sometimes I deal directly with the individual. Doesn't matter, it's okay. Or I'll pass it off to CJ. And then CJ's like, he and I huddle up and says, okay, what day works best for you? These are the times. He came in, I'm like, CJ, okay, did he give you a time? What's his time limit?

Sometimes they say, hey, I got as much time as you need. Sometimes they say, I only got an hour. I only got 75 minutes. I only got 90 minutes. I normally I say, I need at least, I need at least 75 minutes. That's normally what I go. I said, normally need at least 75 minutes. CJ, is there anything that they say that we can't ask? When I got, when I had Steve Harvey, I had no intentions of asking him anything about his wife,

asking him nothing about his daughters. He volunteered that. Shannon, why didn't you push back and say, well, Steve, you said this about your first wife. Steve, you did this, this, and this. Nobody said a damn thing. And he even asked me, Cat even asked, well, say when Cedric said, when I said,

there were reports that Cat said that there was a joke that he told that you stole from him. Ced said, I didn't steal no joke. I said, he said, you know, it don't even sound the same. I said, okay, nobody said, Shannon, you should have pulled out the video and showed him cat joke and his joke.

Nobody said anything. Right. Now all of a sudden cat, well, cat, hold on. And I said, it was tough hearing some of the things he said about people that I've interviewed and have, I'm not saying we boys, if somebody's bucket or burns, yes, I know Steve, I speak to Steve. I know Quake, I talk to Quake all the time. Right.

Yes, I have said his number. When they came on, I didn't cut anybody off. When was the time that I've cut somebody off? Now you want me to cut anybody off. When was the time that I cut somebody off? Now you want me to cut him off. Man, but he going in. Okay. I mean, that's the point of having that space where you can tell your truth. That's the whole point.

And I know a guy that he got so much he always has something to say. Right. Now, this is the same guy. You know what I ain't gonna even No. Look here. You won't let it go. I won't let it go. Because this is what I told you. And I get on Stephen A of this all the time. Yeah, I say stop giving people stop giving people your audience's ear. Stop giving it your platform bigger than theirs. I like that. Sometimes people, sometimes success, the only success they get to taste is taking a bite out of you. Leave them alone. Leave them alone. I'm doing what

I'm doing. Obviously, obviously, 27 million people thought enough of the, thought enough like, oh, he's sitting down with cat, word of mouth, maybe they saw a snippet or something. Man, I need to sit down and watch this. It's two hours, 46 minutes and five seconds. Yeah. Where was the last time? A good two hours and 40 minutes.

Okay. Tell me the last time somebody sat down for a non-sporting event, two hours, 46 minutes and five seconds and watched and listened. Remember, that's why they say linear television is dying with the exception of live events. Because people's attention span, everybody is getting

their info from their smartphone. They're watching on their phone, they're streaming their phone, iPad, computer, whatever. Two hours, 46 minutes and five seconds. Think about that. That's a cowboy game. That 27 million people. There are some sporting events that don't get watched by 27 million. That's what you're mad about. You're not mad about, I didn't cut this man off. You're not mad about I didn't cut this man off. You're not mad about that.

Oh, those are your boys and you let them talk about your boys? That's not what y'all mad about. That's not what you're mad about. Oh, you not even a journalist. He could have got so much meat off the bone. You're not mad about that. You're mad that 27 million people to the right now,

my part, my subscribers on Club Shay Shashe jumped up 500,000. That's what you mad about. You mad about now all of a sudden my IG, I'm over three million on that. That's what you mad about. The potential, man, y'all know what's gonna happen now. Man, somebody might come throw a boatload. That's what you mad about. Yeah.

But when you was biting the apple, I never said anything negative about y'all. I gave you y'all credit. I never criticized anybody because I look. The way I look at it, Ocho, everything I saw my brother do, I said, I can do it. You know why? Because he lived in the same house I lived in.

He got rained on just like I did. He had to go outside to the woods to go to the bathroom just like I did. So hell, if he went to college, why can't I? If he go to the NFL, why can't I? So if I see you guys do something, you do it. You're damn right, I believe I can do it. Yeah.

That's done a million views. That's done two million views. That's done three million views. They make it seem like I was peeling around Oh my part you have 45,000 views. No I've had episodes that do 300,000 downloads. Yeah. And you wonder why, you wonder why you only have limited success. You think you have a success, but think about how much more success you could have

if you got that envy, that jealousy, and that hate out your heart. But y'all quick, y'all write all these little catchy phrases on your little page, and it's you, you write you. All you do is write the memoir to yourself. Come on, man. Come on. You think you don't. Hey, look at this. I got this out the mud.

I came from the trenches where you got more hate in your heart with all that you got that you've been blessed with so much. And all you do is hate on a man that you think better. And I said it's going to be the interview of 24. I said he's going to break the internet. And people were like, well who is it? Who is it going to be? Is it going to be LeBron? Is it gonna be President Obama? Right. I said, but this guy and what he said, I said it's gonna surprise a lot of people.

Yeah. And the interview that I'm talking about, everybody's talking about it, is the Cat Williams. Oh yeah. I've been trying to line this interview up since about the end of 2022. Yes, sir. And he's like, I don't know when I'm gonna be

on your side of town, but I'll keep that in mind. Wait, so you had this brewing? You had this brewing since 2022? I've been trying to set it up. So all the 20, so basically all the 20, I ended up getting this interview that the very tail end of 23. So I'm sitting on there like, man,

and I'm telling CJ, CJ and I was talking, he's like, what do you think? He's like, it's gonna happen. I'm like, I don't know. I said, all I can do is reach out, I can ask. And he hit me back, let's do it. And I remember telling him, I said, CJ, Cat Williams people hit me up and say they wanna do it.

He's like, for real? I was like, yeah, for real. I said, whatever we got, so whatever we have planned, I don't like the, I said, let's just clear it out. Because I don't know what day. It might be a Tuesday, it might be a Wednesday, it might be a Thursday, it might be a Friday. But clear it out.

Because whenever the guest is available, let's do it. I did Chris Brown's interview at about eight o'clock, nine o'clock at night at his place. So there's not a time that in which if I'm not working at first tape, that I'm not available. So if you wanna do it at midnight, we'll have a team there to shoot that footage at midnight.

That's live. So he comes in. So I get there, I try to get there a little bit before the guest. CJ might have, we might have some last minute, okay CJ, okay, I kinda got a feeling of kinda how I wanna go. I've moved some things around from the questions

that you came up with and I came up with, but I've moved some of the stuff around because I think it just feels better. When I was going over this last night, it just felt better to go in this sequence. He's like, okay, hey, I trust you, you trust me, just go with your feel. So I get there, I'm getting mic'd up and I'm just talking and he comes in. So he's already on one. And he says, I've been waiting a whole year to say my piece. The right a whole year to say my piece. The right space and platform to say his piece.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. Now, a lot of people have said, oh, Shannon left so much on the table. Shannon is not a journalist. I've never said I was a journalist. If you listen in my intro, I said, normally what I say, the person that's coming by for conversation and a drink, I'm a conversationist, not an interviewer. It's a different space. He said, you've allowed other people a very safe place. That's why we

like coming. Key words, safe. Safe place. Safe place. I've also said on numerous occasions, if you want 60 minutes, if you want Dateline, if you want 48 hours, I'm not the place for you. Go to those places and get those type of interviews. Go to Leftho Ho. Go to Nora O'Donnell. I'm not Mike Wallace. Rest his soul.

I'm not Ed Bradley. Rest his soul. I'm not Ed Bradley, rest his soul. Or Dan Rather or Walter Cronkite, rest their soul. Tom Brokaw, that's not who I am. So if you want those type of interviews, you need to go to places that have those type of interviews. Now, the problem is, Cat Williams was my 102nd interview, conversation on Club Shayshake.

He was the 102nd. Nobody said anything, oh, but Shannon, you left this on the bone. I've had Magic Johnson, I've had Steve Harvey, I've had Michael Blackson, I've had Cedric De Entertainer, I've had DC Young Fly. I've had a lot of people. Nobody said anything about pushback and follow up questions until I got Cat Williams on.

And this thing took off like wildfire. And the people that's commenting is like, you got 200 followers. You can't be a journalist with 200 followers because even people that don't know the journalist, they got at least four or five thousand. You're upset that he said everything that he said, and he said it on my platform.

And now he's bringing attention to my platform. Just like I've had Ricky Smiley on. I've had Steve Harvey. You didn't say anything I didn't push back about Steve when he said things about when he's married, you didn't say a word. When he spoke about his daughter, you didn't say anything I didn't push back about Steve when he said things about when his marriage, you didn't say a word. When he spoke about his daughter, you didn't say a word. I asked Cedric about did he steal Kat Williams' joke. You didn't say, Shannon, you didn't follow it up.

I've asked Ricky Smiley, volunteered. He said, I didn't ask him, he said that he was originally supposed to play Money Mike and Kat was supposed to play Santa Claus. He said that. You never said a word about follow-up questions and I left so much on the bone. It wasn't until this video, which is almost at about 11 million views

and less than 48. Yes. Now mind you, now mind you, Ocho, Steve Harvey's done nine million views. Who else? DC Young Fly is at four million. Ricky Smiley over three million. Magic Johnson over two million.

I mean, a lot of these videos have gone viral and had viral moments. Nothing is caught fire like this. Right, right, right. This is what's upsetting them because, first of all, he wasn't gonna go on it because they don't know, he doesn't wanna be, he wants to have a conversation.

He said, you've allowed everybody else to come up here and save their peace. The hardest thing for me, Ocho, as the interviewer, was the way he started. My thing was, do I interrupt him and get this thing back on track or do I let him go? See, when you're interviewing somebody like that and with the safe place that you do call it, the fact that it's Cat Williams or Seve Entertainment or any of these polarizing iconic figures, you have to let them get their piece and say what they need to say.

That's the whole point of you having a platform and him willing to come on your platform to be able to do an interview and tell his truth is you got to let him go. You can't steer it. You can't steer this one. And so he did 30 minutes before I asked anything, where you're from, how do you do this,

I never said I was a journalist. I never professed to be a journalist. I'm an entertainer. I have entertainers. And again, if you want hard hitting questions, 60 minutes is the platform from you. Date line, 48 hours, go to Leicester Holt, go to somebody that does that.

It's you gotta understand, those aren't safe places. Those aren't places where you can get what you wanna say off. They dictate, they dictate everything. Yes. So you go that route. Oh Joe, you make a great point. So let me ask you this.

You think Cat Williams was going to open up as much as he did on any other platform? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. If you go back to, what's the longest, I mean, when we, when we look at it, what's the longest, the longest interview he had done? Cat. Now mind you, I haven't seen anything he posted on his social media page since 2020.

Since 2020. That's four years ago. No posts. Yeah. Nobody else. I mean, the whole point is, it's almost like barbershop talk. Being able to sit down with you, listen, I sat down with you and we talked you had to kick me

You had to kick me out. Yeah, you had to kick me out when I did club shay-shay because I wouldn't I was in such a yeah You like we done. Yeah. Yeah, I was ready to go now I had you on ain't nobody say well, why don't you ask him about that situation that happened in Miami Why did you ask him about this ain't nobody said anything? You've almost a six million with coach prime. Well, you've been married this many times Nobody said a word. It wasn't until I got cat will you it wasn't until this thing took off like wildfire Yeah, it's all across the internet. And it is more so about not only the traction,

but it's what he said in the controversy that is stirred up. So now everybody has questions, their truths, their facts. It's, it's, it's, it's, that shit was awesome. That shit, that shit was awesome. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Obviously me, I know Cedric, I know Steve, I knew Bernie Mac back when Mac was alive. God damn, I got some stories about Kat.

I'm gonna tell you that a lot of people in the chat watching a lot of stuff that you probably didn't even know yourself, but we'll get to that later on when we get into it. And it's, look, I'm not saying we the best of friends, but I talked to Steve Harvey. Right, right, right. I got Steve Harvey number in my phone.

I got Cedric number in my phone. I got Kevin Hart's number in my phone. Earthquake and I, we talked the most. I can sit, look, and I'm friendly, cordial. I've been to Kevin Hart's house. Been through his house, met his wife, just saw him the other night at another function. Showed me his cars, had a conversation with him.

We're friendly. Earthquake and I, I met Earthquake about six, seven years ago. We've been cool ever since. Sometimes Earthquake would just text me, brother, I just called to say I love you. Keep doing your thing. Shine, shine king, shine shine black man stuff like that hey I got this

thing I got this uh I got Matt this comedy hey swing through if you get a chance to right so he and I have a different type of relationship than then the other guys but do I talk to Steve Harvey absolutely have he invited me to his farm in Atlanta yes he invited me to it farm in Atlanta? Yes. He invited me to it. I think it's Dubai. He has a golf tournament Thanksgiving. Hey, I want you to come. So I'll have a great relationship. So it's hard on me.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Listen, I understand. I totally understand where you're coming from. But obviously, when truth is being told, you're just the moderator in between giving the individual the space to tell their truth. That's it.

It's no hard feeling towards those that you already know, whether you know them personally or you just know them as associates. And I really enjoyed it in the fact that you give us a space to be able to tell our truth on your platform. It's not a bad thing. It's a good thing. And there was no space for us to be able to do that. And the fact that now we do have one, and this is going to be a trickle

effect. Not only did you have Cat Williams, but it's going to be somebody else after that, it's going to be somebody else after that, and it's going to continue to have that effect where, you know what, I have things I need to get off my chest, what better place to do it? Get on Club Shake Shave platform Who's not gonna judge you? No, he's gonna ask the questions he needs to ask and allow you to say what you need to say. That's it It's simple. And the thing was that and Kat asked me he's like well, why didn't you ask Ricky this? I said Kat normally when people are giving you information that you've never heard or no one else has ever spoken,

you feel that he was in that situation, he's giving you pertinent information. I have no reason to believe Ricky Smiley's lying to me. Just like when you say something, when you telling me this, this, and this. Now, I knew that he was homeless because I talked to Terry Crews. I've known Terry Crews.

Terry Crews was on the team with my brother in 19, when I, back in 90, 91. So I know T. Crews and he was on the movie. He was a fill in in training day. His actual actual role was, if I'm not mistaken, was next Friday. So I have a relationship with, I have a relationship with T. Cruz.

And so for me, that was the hardest part is to hear things. But I said, you know what? I didn't expect, you know what? I knew it was a good end. I knew. I kind of knew, but I didn't know. Listen, now there's Cat Williams. Now there's certain people that you can get

that can move the needle now. There are certain people you can get that can move the needle and move it big. Ocho, this thing is doing about 500,000 views an hour. I knew it, I thought it, I thought we, CJ told me it's gonna be bigger than Steve Harvey. At the time, Steve Harvey was about 8.8 million. So we're right at nine.

Where was I at? You are, you behind time. You and time are tied at 5.8 million. Okay, I'm coming back. I'm coming back on club, J.J. I got some controversy to talk about. Yeah, I'm for now. I'll do cat, fuck this.

Unless you show up butt naked, I don't know if you can do it. I don't know if you can beat cat because cats have almost had 11 million and we're not even 48 hours in. And so I remember wrapping the interview. Now mind you, Ocho, I still got 20 to 30 minutes worth of questions left.

Right. The interview is two hours, 46 minutes, and five seconds. And we didn't cut anything. Right. And I remember finishing up and I looked back, CJ's always sitting behind me, and I remember looking at CJ, and he's shaking his head.

And I'm like, what? He's like, Shannon, this gonna break the internet. I said, you think so? He's like, Shannon. He's like, Shannon. Yeah. So Jordan's like, Jordan's shaking his head. He's looking at me like,

everybody's the makeup, everybody Jordan's like, Jordan's shaking his head. He's looking at me like, everybody's the makeup. Everybody's looking like, I was like, man. Okay, they say it's gonna, is that good? Okay, I would take it. Because when you in it, Ocho, you in it. You don't, I mean, and so, bro, and so he, it, we drive says, okay, when we gonna, I say, CJ, we're gonna drop it in the new year. That's why I start, so I say, okay, I'm gonna tease it. I'm gonna say, I'm dropping one on Club Shayshay.

I promise you, it's gonna, for someone to be better than this and to be bigger than this, President Obama's gonna have to come on your podcast and says, I'm running for a third turn. That's the only thing that's possibly be bigger. And he gonna come on mine and say that. So that's that. Right, yeah.

When we dropped it, we got 121,000 people watching it live in the chat, Ocho. So I'm like, okay, this thing might do a million, might do, I say it's gonna be, and I told, I remember calling CJ, I said it's gonna probably do 2.5. Right. Ocho, I wake up this morning, we're at 5.2.

Come on now. I was like, what the hell? So I was, I was saying, now I gotta refigure. I say, okay, it's gonna lose some steam. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Ocho, we probably. You gotta make it round the block first. You gotta make it round the block first.

Now I'm thinking, this thing might do about next Wednesday. This thing might do 20 million views. Yeah, most definitely. It might do 20 million views. Yeah, most definitely. It might do 20 million views. There's a lot going on today. SSM, Shea Shea Media, we added an addition under our umbrella. We're going to produce and distribute humble baddies. And a lot of speculation is going on that don't tell Ocho about this situation. I didn't know I was supposed to tell we run in a business here. And no, I did not tell Ocho.

I didn't feel I didn't feel I needed to tell Ocho. We're running a business. And when you run a business, you do what's in the best interest of the business. Ocho. Not really in the best interest of business. We are a partnership. You and I, we started Nightcap. If we are partners, anything that has to do with something that was a part of my life,

which is including her and she leaves my life, that means she's no longer a part of what I have going on that's including Nightcap. So just because you and I, from a relationship, from a football relationship to a business relationship, if she decides to leave me and my life, that means she's gone. So you my dog.

So that means- I didn't say that. Well, I remember saying that, Ocho. I remember you and I had that conversation. You said that. So you're not even standing on business about what you said and how you live based on your morals and the way you operate.

Right. I lied a little bit. Oh Joe, this business, we trying to make, I'm trying to make money. Don't you want to make money? Yeah, I want to make money, but listen, all money ain't good money. All money ain't good money.

That's something that you didn't have to do. And matter of fact, if you were going to do something like that, something like that, you know how I felt about the situation already. She left. She left. So if she decides to leave me, to sign her and not even running by me

and let me know something, give me a heads up, give me some type of warning, let me know. Hey, listen, I'm thinking about- Ocho, I signed really her girls to a contract. I'm letting you know. Hey, here you go with the bullshit. Ocho, I didn't, hold on, hold on. No, no, no, no, no.

You told me when you leave, you done. That's one less expense. So I figured I was like, well, Ocho don't really care. So let me go ahead and make this happen. Yeah, I'm saying, you got to understand. You got to understand where I'm coming from. It's about principle. You know, you're supposed to be a human dog.

I mean, human dog, you got to play that different. You got to, you got to play that different. So all things being equal, how should I have played this out? Boom, hit my line. Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring. Okay. Oh, Joe, check this out. Yeah. Um, you remember back in Atlanta, uh, rail and I had a conversation. She had a podcast and she was wondering if I would be interesting and having my company produce it and distribute the podcast.

She said, she talked to you, she said, it was okay. I said, sure, Rell, let's talk, let's reconvene. You and I had asked to jump on a call on Monday, which we did and we discussed it. And we finally got everything, we got them what they needed, we're gonna produce the show, we're gonna what they needed. We're gonna produce the show. We're gonna distribute the show.

And, you know, they're gonna do it, a couple of times a week instead of the one time a week. They're gonna go twice a week. And she was really excited about this. She said, you were excited about this. Now, once we start down an agreement, I gotta be a man of my word. I say, yes, we're gonna do this.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, time out, time out, time out. When you guys had that talk, when I was excited about the opportunity for her to join under the umbrella of Shae Shae Media, you know, doing her thing, I'm, listen, I would, happy for her. But once she decides to leave me, when she decides to leave me, she leaves us. She leaves anything that has to do with Nightcap,

Shae Shae Media, huh? She left you do with nightcap, Shae Shae Media. She left you, she was still with Shae Shae Media. So see, see what I'm talking about? Principal alone, if she leave me, then you should be like, listen, I can't work with you anymore. There's so many people- I had already given her the money.

Oh, you did? Yeah. How much was it? I- I- I- That's between- That's between- Listen, how much was it? That Now between you and me. I tell you what, I would give whatever the advance was, I'd give it back to you. But I just don't, I really don't think that's a good look because now, you know, we in a rough patch right now, right?

We good, we good, we good. Okay. If I was in front of you, we would have had a tussle today though. We would have had a tussle. Yeah, we would have had a tussle. First of all, I'm gonna be hell at you cause you already owe me $5,200

and you try to take more money out of my pocket with rail. Matter of fact, the fact you definitely ain't getting no money now. You definitely gonna have to get in the blood that you ain't running that by me. You ain't even running that by me. Okay, so you said I gotta take it in blood? That's the only way you gonna get it.

You mentioned it to me, Rael had, you know, she had a doing her thing, and she wanted to put it with somebody that have the infrastructure that can make the thing be what she believes it can be with her and her partners. And I said, OK, let's talk to Raelle. Raelle had a conversation with me. I said, well, let's talk, you and I, and I asked you to get on the phone on Monday

and we'll have a conversation. And then we can see if this is something that can work. But Raelle, this is a lot of work. I mean, this is not something that you do if you really want it to be successful, which you found out, Ocho, this takes a lot of work. If you want it to be successful. Now, if you want to do something as a hobby, say, okay, I got a little mic, got a camera, and I want to do something 20, 30 minutes a day, that's fine. But if you

really want this thing to be successful and to want it to grow, you have to devote a certain amount of time to it. And knowing her background, how she turned her real estate thing into a big deal. She has a show on Netflix that's coming out, I think in a week or two, Ocho. So I know she's going to work to make it possible. But the thing is, but you see, Ocho, what you get an opportunity to see, you get an opportunity to see how people want to tear you apart real quick, don't they? You see how they jumped on that so far and so quick? They're trying to rip you and our apart. So now you see everybody tell me oh I love Nightcap. No they don't. No they don't. And hey guys
