Hello, it's your favorite sports thug here. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button
to join the fastest growing community on YouTube. Remember, Nightcap doesn't happen without
you. So please subscribe or you're going to make Ocho cry.
Yeah.
Ocho, before we get into our first topic.
Yeah.
Something happened yesterday and you wanted
an opportunity to respond, so the floor is yours.
Oh, absolutely.
Listen, listen, Cam, Cam has some stuff to say and I had to think about it and I had
to listen to it and think about some stuff that was brought up from two years ago where
I said, Cam, you my mans and I'm coming for your spot.
Now I'm not sure how that's taken his hate
when all you have to do is understand that
I'm saying I'm coming for your spot
because I see you as the standard
that is setting the bar in that specific space.
So you took that as an insult, which is weird to me.
I'm not sure how you can do that.
But if you check the mother fuck,
if you check the numbers,
what I said I was gonna do, I've already done.
And surpassed that in this specific space.
Now he said, he asked me to come join them,
you know, to do something with them.
And I told him, you know, okay,
you gotta check with my people.
You gotta reach out to my people who,
when it was time for me to work with you,
what did I ask you to do?
Reach out to who?
I talked to Doug.
You talked to Doug.
So boom, we did, you know, like that.
That's the way I handle business.
You know, I don't run nothing through me.
So I guess that was seen as a sign of disrespect
because I chose to come over here with you.
Boom, okay. Now, we brought up the issue I guess that was seen as a sign of disrespect because I chose to come over here with you. Boom.
Okay.
Now, we brought up the issue with he talk about money and bags and how much you pay
guest feature, you know, how much we pay our guest features.
Buddy, I ain't no guest feature.
Well, I'm the main attraction.
What did you talk about?
I always been the main attraction.
There's a difference in your lane, you do what you do.
I'm in completely different lanes
and completely different rooms from you,
despite me always playing around and joking.
It's different.
For one, you wouldn't have been able to afford me
to begin with, let's start there.
And I'm not trying to be disrespectful And I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I don't.
I think because I do everything in an entertaining, fun, laughing way,
you kind of forget and don't really understand what's being done over here and how special what we have is.
And that's no disrespect to them because I like they show.
I love it is what it is.
Cause it's different than what we do.
Their views, they got some high ones.
But it's mainly about going at people
and jigging at people, you know?
Over here, it's about having fun,
entertaining and the stories.
Completely different.
Two different shows.
I love them though.
Then, you know, Cam, he's a Harlem dude.
I've been to Harlem, my face is clean in Harlem.
Most of the time, those that I know from Harlem,
you know, they don't act like that.
You're getting a little emotional for nothing,
especially about stuff, one, I show respect.
That legend happened two years ago.
Two years ago, and it was a sign of respect because I see you as the standard of what
it is to be the best at in this space.
Right.
Then the Stephen 8, the Stephen 8 thing, you talk about weird and I don't like you, don't
like my vibes.
Listen, for one, the whole world know I'm joking and trolling
It's a it's a it's a funny story that wasn't even true to begin with and you took that serious
so
Then you're getting personal with the words and the talking I post my location where I'm at every day
What you tell me to stop doing stop catching rides from the airport, right?
Yep.
Everybody know where I am every single day, no matter what city I travel to.
I'm outside all the time.
If it was really an issue or you really didn't like me and it was a problem, I'm easy to
find, especially in Miami.
If I'm not mistaken, you'd be here.
Y'all feel me, if I'm not mistaken.
I show everybody respect, huh?
I show everybody love.
What's one problem that you've always gotten on me about
doing a show like this?
I don't do enough what?
When it comes to talk about players.
Yeah, you don't critique enough.
I don't critique enough.
Because I'm always showing love.
I'm always showing respect no matter what.
I never get out of line with nobody.
Right.
But the words that were displayed
is if it's a personal issue.
Now, if it's a personal issue,
which I've never had with anybody
because I always show everybody love and respect,
I'm easy to find because I'm outside, always.
In Harlem too. That's your stomping grounds, right? I'm easy to find because I'm outside, always.
In Harlem too. That's the stomping grounds, right?
I be at Ricardo's all the time.
Matter of fact, I'm gonna be in New York Monday.
And I'm gonna be at Ricardo's at five o'clock.
To be exact.
But it's always love.
Never disrespect.
And that's it.
And I love you.
And I love you.
Unless you want to go another route.
The way I look at it, Ocho, I think you explained too much.
You did what you did.
You don't represent yourself.
Most people, that's why you hire representation.
If you didn't want representation, you could have done it on yourself.
And yeah, you could save 3%, 5%, 10%.
But you chose to have a representative that funnels everything through.
I reached out to Doug because I knew Doug was your representative.
I didn't reach out to you first. I reached out to Doug. I said, hey man, what's up with Ocho?
I want to run something by Ocho. Funny, Ocho in town. Hey, can we meet at the Palm?
And such and such, such and such a time. You showed up. I made the pitch to you. You say,
Uncle, I'm good. I said, well, listen, don't even worry about the money. I trust you.
So that's how we handle that. Like I said, look, people are like, man, you don't... I about the money, I trust you. So that's how we handle that.
I don't, like I said, look, people are like, man,
I say, bro, y'all gotta know what Ocho serious,
y'all gotta know what Ocho joking.
Y'all don't seem to know which is which.
So that's on y'all.
I know when he's joking, I know when he's being serious.
But for me, Ocho, and we had this conversation
and you hit me up yesterday, I say, for me,
I've just let it rock.
I felt just then you explained too much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but I did,
listen, sometimes you got to clear the air, right?
You got to clear the air,
because then you have an issue, right?
Well, he could have called you, Ocho.
If that was the case, if he had an issue with you,
he could have reached out the phone
and he could have called you.
That's how I know it wasn't an issue.
It wasn't no issue for real.
You have a show to do.
You have, he has a show to do.
He has a show to do.
I understand that, I understand that.
But the disrespect, you don't have to like me.
I don't care about that part.
Get in line.
It's a lot of them.
Right. But the disrespect like that, and then you got the wrong people hearing in line. It's a lot of them. Right.
But the disrespect like that.
And then you got the wrong people hearing it
and it's ruffling feathers.
It really shouldn't be ruffling
because I don't move like that.
Never have.
But anyway, and then hold on.
Oh, and this is another thing.
What?
Hold on.
Didn't talk about the money and the pocket watching.
Unc, I have a question.
Do they understand how many jobs I have?
I'm just curious.
Unc, I got 50 of them jobs.
Then you being slick at the mouth,
talk about if you need a job, I ain't hiring no more.
Unc, this me.
What are we talking about?
There's levels to everything.
You in one lane.
I got about 50 left of them.
There's a difference,
but because I play around and have fun with it,
for some reason you think we on the same level.
It ain't never been that.
Even if you was in your prime, there's the difference.
I wouldn't, I wouldn't have.
I'm humble.
Well, see, nah, nah, I am glad.
But see, when everybody was coming for an unk,
you like unk, I tried to tell you.
Then we all come to you.
What did I tell you?
What did I tell you?
I was your enforcer, right?
You don't need no enforcer.
I just let that issue go.
I said I was your enforcer.
I'm not saying anything wrong.
I'm just addressing what was addressed towards me
in a respectful way, still.
Right.
As a small reminder.
For me, Ocho, the reason why I stopped
and I said I'm not going back and forth with nobody
and there've been a couple of guys still taking shots,
they got too much money at stake.
I'm not- Oh yeah, oh, hey, say it again one more time.
We got too much money?
Too much money at stake.
Yeah, oh, a lot of it.
And it's Master P and Gie say, boy, say,
if you ain't careful, they'll trick you out your spot.
They're not gonna get me out of this spot.
No, no, that ain't even happen.
That ain't gonna happen.
So I wish, hey, whatever issue y'all may or may not have,
I don't know anything about this.
All I know is that Ocho, you and I,
hey, we do nightcap, we do what we do,
and we keep it moving.
We don't talk about anybody else on their podcast,
no matter what they say about us,
no matter what they do, whatever their numbers are,
whatever their views, whatever they downloads,
whatever advertising or sponsorship they have,
congratulations, because what I know,
80% of the money that's in circulation was printed
in 2020 moving forward.
So guess what?
If the government runs out of money, they'll print more.
There's enough for everybody that choose to do this.
Yeah.
Nightcap, all the smoke, the pivot, it is what it is.
Whoever, a podcast, P, whoever have a podcast,
there ain't no reason for us to be beefing.
Joe Rogan ain't beefing with Carl or Daddy.
They're not beefing with Caleb.
They're not beefing with Theo Vaughn.
I don't know why we got issues.
I know, listen, we don't have no issues,
but you have to understand.
Why we gotta address it?
Listen, you listen, this is what you have to do.
Call you.
Wait, listen to me.
This is what you gotta do.
You know, if somebody says something, then it's our right to respond. It is. And listen to me. This is what you got to do. You know, if somebody says something,
then it's our right to respond.
Listen to me, let me finish now, in a respectful way.
In a respectful way, there's a misunderstanding.
Because for one, like I said,
what was said in that tweet out two years ago,
it was a sign of respect.
Boy, I'm coming for your spot
because I see you as that boy.
You should have dressed it then.
Why dress it now?
Because it's good.
It's good.
It's not a bad thing, huh?
You know?
But again, I always show love and respect to everybody.
Always.
Now you don't have to like me, but you will respect me.
And if there is an issue,
I post everywhere I'm at, and will never change that.
Everywhere.
Well, can we move on now,
because I think we've given them 17 minutes
too much of our time.
Oh, wait a minute.
That's what this is about.
It's what this is about.
It is what it is.
We love what they do.
I love what they do. You feel me? It's a funny show. You know, we love what they do. I love what they do.
You feel me?
It's a funny show.
Them boys funny.
You know, we got our own, we got our own thing.
We do our thing in our lane.
Like you say, it's enough room for everybody.
We ain't finna let nobody trick us out our spot.
Especially by that money.
Cause I got 50, 11 kids to raise.
And I got a goddamn new house I got to decorate.
Now where we at?
We good?
Huh?
We good?
We done with this topic.
We done with this.
So chat, don't jump in there and say,
did you see what he said?
I don't care.
They can talk about me all they want to.
Hey, I don't,
Ocho, hopefully Ocho is done with this.
They come to say, he said what he said.
Ocho responded, hopefully we can move on.
But for me, I ain't got no issue with nobody.
I, like I said, I refuse to go back and forth.
I don't see a, really a need to,
whether or not they like us or like me or dislike Ocho
or whatever the case may be.
I wish you guys nothing but the best,
but I do know there's enough room for everybody
to get a piece of this pie.
And so that's the way I'm gonna approach it.
So I wish you guys the best.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, hold on.
Come on with that humble shit.
There's enough room for everybody to get a piece of the pie,
but you know who gonna get the bigger piece? Man. Huh? Lay, Ocho, let's move on. There's enough room for everybody to get a piece of the pie, but you know who gonna get the bigger piece?
Bad.
Huh?
Lay, Ocho, let's move on.
There's enough room for the pie,
but you know who gonna get the bigger piece?
Ocho, there's something I wanna address.
Just came to brought to my attention.
Uh-oh.
Is that, uh,
Ocho, everyone's family.
Okay, Shaq, about the comments that I said last night.

San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer

We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like, you're building a team from scratch,

We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier,
and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain,
just watching the fans jumping up and down.

Jack said, you took me sticking up for shade
as jealousy of jokers shows how smart you are
and how you say anything to get clicks.
That's not what I did, but anyway,
so here's the click bait for you.
If I ain't ranked in the top 10 in your profession, then you can't speak. Don't forget,
I know what you did to get where you're at. Me jealous sounds like you're jealous. I know you're
trying to stay relevant by gossiping on your podcast. We don't believe you. You need more
people in case you forgot. Four rings, three finals, MVPs, top 50, top 75. And to be quite frank, all this success
you got still under me.
You don't know my work ethic, but according,
I work less, but not blah, blah, blah.
But anyway, love you too.
If you need help making money,
it's better ways than gossiping.
I'm too old for this ish.
Love always, the most dominating big man ever.
Never took it serious.
Remember, I know you and you know words of skill better something better than you
Hashtag g14 classification. I have it you don't not in my profession
Wait when that happened he just about 10 minutes ago
Checking the chat. No, he are on IG. I've never. Wait, Shaq in the chat? No, he on IG.
I've never professed.
I've never professed that I was as great as Shaq.
But what I will say.
Yes, sir.
I got what I got because I worked my ass off.
Now, Shaq has been the one to say it.
That he didn't work as hard.
He didn't train as hard. he didn't train as hard,
he didn't eat as well as he should have.
Right, right.
Shaq is the one that anytime someone wins an MVP,
he talks about how he should have been the MVP
over Steve Nash.
Now, you guys have heard me speak glowingly.
I say Travis Kelsey is better title than I was,
so was Grom, so was my guy, what's his name?
For the charges, Antonio Gates, Gonzo, Big Winslow.
I'm cool, I got no problem.
You know why I got no problem with giving people credit?
Because I got everything out of my God given ability.
God gave me the ability to do what I could do,
but he gave me discipline, he gave me dedication,
the way I trained, the way I ate, the way I slept.
So this was all I could get.
Right.
Now I would have felt some type of way
if I'd have got these numbers and I half asked it.
But I never half asked it.
I mean, Kobe said Shaq should have won
and they should have won.
Right.
But he took, but my thing is, is that you can't,
and it's like greatest characters.
It's Shaq, I'm the greatest character.
No, am I a top 100 player?
No.
Am I the equivalent as a football player
and Shaq was as a basketball player?
No.
But what I did do is that I maximize that.
And my question, if Shaq and yeah, because it's rough on the back.
My question is, do you believe that you gave everything you possibly could in basketball?
Did you train the way you should have? Did you eat the way you should have? Did you? That just
goes to show you how great you was. Is that you didn't, you allowed your weight
to get out of control.
The injuries started to creep up and you got four rings
and you got three finals in VP.
See, I'm mad, man.
I wish I understood.
Why you mad?
Cause I wish I understood goddamn basketball.
So when you talking about Shaq,
especially during that time, think about this.
If I don't know basketball now, the way I should,
the way you do, like what you telling me right now,
it's like I'm trying to process this shit.
Think about it.
But I came because I wasn't watching back then.
Think about it, Ocho.
Fuck, man.
He's the most dominant big man in the history of the game.
I know that much, yes.
And he got one MVP.
So I but think about this, think about how they just I'm not gonna say Rob, I don't want to use the word Rob how they rob
they took they rob shade.
3030 points.
Number one seed. I mean, doesn't get it. They were what's the
criteria? What's the
criteria for MVP? If you gave it to Joker again, but I don't think they gave it because
Joker was top 10 and points top 10 and rebounds top 10 on assist. And they basically had the
same record. They just had a OKC just had a better division record. So you're talking
about you. So it's not like she they were the number one seed and Joker was number 10. Right. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Shaq, if you took what I said as a slight, okay, I can get it.
And people say, well, what's good? See, my thing is, is
that I'm not saying that I would I've never said I was the
quitter. And I'm quick to say that when I say when I talk
about Kevin Durant, or I talk about any player, I said, I'm
not the equivalent basketball player,
but all I can do is maximize my ability.
Shaq know deep down, he can take all the shots.
Yeah, you got more money.
Yeah, you're more famous than me.
Yeah, you're more well known.
You're gonna have way more money than I ever have.
But nobody will ever say that I was lazy
or I cheated myself.
That's all I got for you, big boy.
I ain't got none of this for you.
I ain't here to argue with you.
I'm not here to debate with you.
It is what it is.
I can't do any more on the football field.
You can't do any more on the basketball court.
Yes, you were great.
Yes, you were great.
But you know deep down, you should be in the top five,
not top 10, because you just said,
who else was the most dominant?
You said you were the most dominant.
Most people agree you were the most dominant.
So I have a question.
Now, here we go again,
with my lack of basketball fucking knowledge.
If Shaq was the most dominant to ever play at his position, right?
The five, the center.
How is he not in the goddamn top five?
Ask him.
Ask the people that say is Shaq in the top five.
Ask them.
But I'm assuming people, I'm...
Okay, I need to take a fucking course or something.
If he's top five, if he's the best big man of all time, then he has to be in everyone's top five.
You got Jordan, you got Kobe, LeBron, I'm assuming, I don't know how to make him go.
What I've done, I've told people my criteria for the top five.
I say for me, for you to be in the top five, you have to have at least, you have to have
more than one regular season MVP.
That's my criteria.
Now, some people say, well, Shannon, as long as you got this or as long as you got that,
that's their criteria. Like you said, what is the criteria for the MVP?
Wait, I have a question. Why? Why does the individual award matter to be included in the top five or something? In general,
if you if you were that he was the most dominant at that you
the most you got what does matter though you got you the most dominant and you only won one he was the most dominant at that. You got, what does the MVP matter though?
You got, you're the most dominant
and you only won one MVP.
So how dominant were you?
I believe he was the most dominant.
I do because I watched him play.
Now I didn't see Wilt.
I don't know, I'm not finna say I didn't see Wilt.
I just saw, just see Wilt's numbers.
But for the guy,
and I started falling basketball back in the late seventies.
Right.
So as far as dominant, Shaq was it.
Shaq was it.
Shaq is the most dominant player, which means he should have more than one regular
season MVP.
So when he was playing and he was dominant during these years, who the hell was winning
the damn MVP's?
Jordan's.
LeBron won some MVP's. Shaq came in in 92. them MVPs. Jordans.
LeBron won some MVPs. Shaq came in in 92.
So Jordan, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley.
Hey, Barkley won MVP?
Akeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash.
Hey, hold on, hold on.
Barkley won MVP, huh?
Yeah.
Hey, hey, when I look at Charles,
hey, when I look at Charles.
No, no, no. See people, people
laughing at Charles and all that.
No.
Charles was.
What?
Hell yeah.
Hey, with Charles, he was the foe?
He was the foe?
He was a powerful, yeah.
He look undersized though.
He look short. Very undersized. Yes, yes. He look undersized though.
He look short.
Very undersized.
Yes.
Okay.
Yes.
That's crazy.
I can't see Chuck outside of TNT
or I can't see him outside of golf.
Exactly.
The picture here dominating on a basketball court.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
He was the real deal.
Oh, okay.
He was the real deal.
Hey, that's live. That's live. Hey, no, no. He was the real deal. He was the real deal. Hey, that's live.
That's live.
Hey, man.
But I put it like this here.
If Shaq, let's just say Shaq came in in 92
and he stayed at 325,
ain't no way he doesn't have four or five MVP.
There's no way he doesn't have four or five MVP. There's no way he doesn't have four.
He doesn't have five, six finals.
Wait, when he was in Orlando, you say he was 325?
When he came out, he was 7'1", 325.
Hey, that's a big human, boy.
Yeah.
God, Lee.
That's why I say we're never gonna see a Shaquille O'Neal again.
People talk about, we're not gonna see a Jordan,
we're not gonna see a LeBron,
we're not gonna see a Kobe.
We're never gonna see a guy his size.
To be able to move like that.
Back and move.
Hey, you know the little clip,
remember the little clip with him and Jordan
playing around at the All-Star game?
Yes.
And he hit the, hey, boy, footwork, what Shaq footwork.
You remember that?
They used to have a show on, I forget the name of the show,
where Shaq would like, he would go play flag football,
and he did other sport activities.
Oh yeah, I remember that.
I remember that.
Did you watch Shaq, you see Shaq run?
Yeah.
I remember the episode with him. Nobody had that size. You're never gonna see a guy that size
with that kind of athleticism.
You're not.
But maybe this, okay, this is my opinion.
I believe has Shaq taken as serious as Kobe,
as serious as Jordan, as serious as LeBron.
Right.
With what he know and the access that he had. serious as Kobe, as serious as Jordan, as serious as LeBron. Right.
With what he know and the access that he had. So because as you get to that level,
you have access to the best trainers,
you have the access to the best nutritionists,
the best chefs.
Yeah.
That's just my personal opinion.
Right.
So.
Hey, man, y'all, you know what?
I ain't got no beef with Shaq. I ain't
over it. Now we can't we can't have no beef with Shaq. We ain't had no beef with Shaq
because I don't want to have to jump on him. You know, I love it. Now you laugh. I love
Shaq. Now I told you we ain't doing no more beasts. We ain't got no beef with nobody.
But I don't look my thing is what we can do, what we can do is we can have a healthy dialogue
based on how we feel about individuals and their respective crafts.
And that's it.
Sometimes they might take offense to it.
Shaq, we love you.
Shaq, you know I love you.
You know how I feel about you.
You know, you my dog.
And there were no issues.
There were no problems.
We were just talking about a subject matter in which I don't know much about. And here's the thing. If Shaq, but see Shaq, just Shaq is looking at what I'm saying in a vacuum
because Shaq is the most dominant and nobody, they've never bestowed that title on another
five other than Will. Right. So Yocage is not more dominant, but he has more regular season MVPs.
No guys are not more dominant,
but he has, and so that's what I'm saying.
I believe me personally and chat,
y'all can disagree or disagree.
Right.
But Shaq said he didn't take practice seriously.
He said I was gonna get beat up in the game.
So why was I gonna get beat up in practice?
You can't think, Ocho, well I'm gonna run it, Ocho,
think about this, think about what he said.
Now he said he didn't go hard in practice
because he didn't wanna get beat up in practice
because he was gonna get beat up in the game.
What if you said, you know what, I didn't read no routes
full speed in practice because I was gonna run
them full speed in the game.
Dang.
He said on numerous occasions, he wished he had taken it more, he had trained harder and
kept his weight under control.
But I guess me pointing that out, what he said, I guess he, you know, I'm where I am.
Because you know, Oh Joe, you know, I was able to walk away from the game and never
ever look back because I got everything I could.
Right.
Out of this seventh round draft selection,
out of this body, nobody will ever say,
did people have more talent than Shannon?
Yes, sir. God gave them that.
But you ain't gonna find nobody say they outworked it.
Yeah.
And that's all I had.
So 815, 10,060, 62 touchdowns, eight
Pro Bowls, fourth first team, all pros, five total, three Super Bowls. That's all I got, don't you?
That's all, that's all I could get. Yeah. Out of what God gave me. I couldn't get anything else.
I like. And by my podcast, my podcast is what it is.
Some people like it, some people don't.
More people like it than don't.
The numbers speak for itself.
So I wish you the best on your podcast and your platform,
but I ain't got nothing.
I ain't here to bash Shaq or go back and forth with Shaq.
We ain't gonna do that.
But what we can do is we have a Nightcap versus TNT,
Royal Rumble.
Like if them boys wanna smoke, we can get it on.
Like listen, you get Shaq, I hit Kenny,
I hit Kenny, I pushed Kenny over.
Oh yeah, yeah.
And me and Chuck, we can go toe to toe.
Two, Nightcap versus TNT, I'm ready.
It's, it don't make me none.
And we could be friends right after and go eat.
Look, it is what it, look man, it is what it is.
I mean, look, and here's the thing,
and this, we're all wired like this, Ocho.
We really are.
All of us.
We really are.
Somebody can say a thousand times Shannon's great but it's the one
time that they say I'm not not that do you fix it on right how many times have I lauded Shaq
but it's the one time what he fixed they don't and that's okay that's okay
listen we all love each other Sha Shaq, we love you baby.
I ain't got no beef with Shaq,
I ain't never had no beef with Shaq.
No, no, no, no, no.
You don't, listen, you vegan anyway, you don't eat beef.
Yeah.
But to each Shaq, I wish you nothing but the best bro.
Hey, continued success, keep doing your thing on TNT,
keep doing your thing on the podcast. Keep doing your thing on the podcast.
Hey, I ain't got no beef with you, bro.
That was just my opinion.
We were talking about it last night
because of what you said.
Stick up for shade, whomever, whomever.
That's your opinion.
That's your opinion.
Shaq, I love you.
You wanna go a few rounds.
Let me know.
I was just sticking up for him in the chat.
But we good.
Shaq, we good.
You know how to get in touch with me.
You wanna talk, bro.
Hey, you wanna talk off the air, on there,
whatever you wanna do, bro. We good. I'm good. I ain't got no problem with you. I never had no, whatever you want to do, bro.
We good. I'm good.
I ain't got no problem with you.
I never had no problem with you.
Shaq, you want to fight?
Yeah.
You know where to find me at.
Boy, if you ever got a problem with anybody, I'm going to beat your ass, nigga.
I appreciate that support.
You worry about Keith Lee.
Hey, Keith Lee, he going to eat some oxtail.
He going to eat some Foo Foo and knock Roach out.
And let me tell you something,
Keith Lee better stop playing with me, all right?
He better stop playing with me
because he ain't gon' be doing no food critic.
He gon' be eating everything through a straw.
This ain't what you want, boy, I'm telling you now.
Hey, listen, hey, hey, Keith,
and matter of fact, I'ma fight you
for letting him get on there
and think he can beat me at anything competitive.
So we gon' go ahead.
After I beat his ass,
then we gonna fight too.
Hey, I would, hey, let me, hey, hey, JR, listen to me, Jay.
I don't care if it's Bruce Lee, Spike Lee, Keith Lee,
anybody with the last name Lee gonna get their ass whooped.
Matter of fact, hey, Lee from Rush Hour,
she finna get it too.
Got me fucked, why you got me hot?
Well, hey, I was on a plane and I saw the thing, I'm saying, I'm gonna get it too. You got me fucked. Well, you got me hot. Well, I was on a plane and I saw the thing.
I'm like, well damn.
They just, okay.
Oh, that's what we on.
And I don't do MMA.
I do boxing.
Who the hell got you in the hotel?
This the MMA fighter?
Yeah, he used to do MMA.
Yeah, he used to be MMA fighter.
Oh, nah, nah, nah.
I mess with them.
He got a cauliflower ears and all that.
Hold on, hold on. Hey, listen, just because somebody was an MMA fighter don't mean they MMA fighter. Oh, nah, nah, nah. I mess with them. You got the cauliflower ears and all that? Hold on, hold on.
Hey, wait, wait, listen.
Just because somebody was an MMA fighter
don't mean they was good.
I'm gonna tell you right now.
If he tell me he do MMA,
I'm not rocking with him.
Yeah.
He good enough.
I see the cauliflower ears and all that.
Bro, you got it.
My bad.
You want another drink?
Yeah.
Hey, you straight?
Say less.
Because if anything you do to me after that,
I gotta put the hammer on them.
Hey, what?
Hey, hey, I done got too big to tussle out.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, well that's too bad.
That's too bad, that's too bad, that's too bad.
Cause we gonna tussle for the simple fact
that you even let him say Chad, or you let him say Ocho.
The word ocean even came out his mouth
and you should have, hey,
you ain't finna talk about my co-hosts like that.
I take Ocho, you grab me, you gon' say ow.
You gon' say Ocho, you gon' say ah, oh,
what I done done now?
Hey, hey, tell Keith Lee, set that shit up, man.
Set that shit up.
I'll be the-
Boxing, I don't use my feet.
I don't use my feet.
Boxing.
Hey, that man, he said his hands updated.
Who?
Yeah, he said they registered in 30 days.
I hope so.
My register too.
My register too.
Only one of us been on Pay-Per-View.
I can tell you that.
Hey, man, leave that man alone, Ocho.
Nah, hell nah, you, hell, you all got me fucked up.
Man, we finna fight, nah.
Matter of fact, if I see you in the,
if I catch you at a restaurant in Miami,
I'ma swing on you.
LeBron III, with 8.55 left for the third quarter,
was his 2,451st career three,
breaking the tie with Kyle Korver for number seven all time.
You talk about the guy that's number one in points,
top five in assists, up there in steals,
up there in the top 10 in three point shots,
and three point field goals made.
I mean, what it was, and it's like,
we expect the man to play like LeBron to play until he 50,
they still expect him to put up the numbers
like he did when he was 30.
That's just know how, let you know how great he is.
When you have the same level of expectation for someone,
you don't have the same level of expect, think about it.
To which we don't have the same level of expectation
for our parents or our grandparents as they start to age.
Because we know physically it's just impossible to do.
But because LeBron, we still expect him to go out there
and sometimes give us a virtual performance
where he gives us 50 or he gives us a 30 point triple double
or he gives us a 40, 10 type of a ball game.
And he might can do that, but as we get older,
and I just believe this, as we get older,
it just gets difficult even as an athlete
to do it with the ease that we once did
and to rip and repeat said act.
Yeah.
For me it's like, honestly, because it's a different one
you have the God-given ability to do it,
which he does have, but also the mind to know how to do it, which
he also has.
Yes.
So then once one starts like, cause your mind is going like, especially from him, his mind
going to stay sharp and it's going to keep getting sharper and seeing defenses and seeing
stuff that he's been saying over the years.
But at the end of the day, you ain't gonna be able to get to that spot
like you used to get to that spot.
So then you gotta come up with more counters
and everything else.
Yes.
Or rely on your teammates.
And being able to rely on my teammates
when I gotta go out there and get 20,
instead of getting 27 or trying to push it
to go get 30 every night,
like that's what it was going to have to be.
Because again, when you see that spot
and I can get to that spot, that's how you,
you know what I mean?
Like look at Colt.
When COVID in New Orleans, he pulled out
and thought somebody kicked him from behind.
Like that's when you start getting hurt.
Like you started to kick,
like cause you trying to get to somewhere
where you think you can physically get to,
especially him is where like-
And you need the extra burst with you. You can physically get to, especially him, is where like-
You need the extra burst with him.
You need the extra burst to try to get there.
Yes, sir.
And there's, and I don't want to put that on him.
Not gonna do it, but that's just how it is.
And on the body, like he takes,
obviously takes amazing care of his body.
He's probably the most,
he's definitely the most best fit athlete
I've ever been around consistently.
And even like-
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
No, no, no, you ain't got no chance dog.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
I ain't gonna lie.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
O-Chuck is not even close.
Let me take this off.
Hey, do what you gotta do.
You can do whatever you gotta do, Ultra.
Hey man, the most fit athlete is sitting right here.
Everybody keep disrespecting me.
Now you telling me LeBron in better shape than me?
Nobody look like this, B.
But hey, listen.
That ain't Pop Tarts, Ultra.
You see that?
That ain't no Pop Tarts.
That ain't the Eugenese salad.
That ain't McDonald's.
What you talking about, man? Yeah, this is what I do, man. This is't McDonald's. You talk about man.
JR, this is what I do, man.
This is what I do.
I'm in the best shape of my life after 56.
Swish, he went to swish.
He well buck 80.
Hey, JR, I'm in better shape than every athlete
on earth right now at 56.
Nobody wanna see me, B.
Real shit, son.
You in New York right now?
Hell no, bro, you about 44.
Nah, I was born in 68.
Hey, are you in New York right now?
Yeah, I'm in New York.
78, he born in 70.
Hey, I put that on every bodega in the Bronx.
Nobody, B, son, I'm telling you, see, nigga,
word to my mother, nobody's in better shape than me.
Joe Burrow says he bought a Tumblr Batmobile
from the Dark Knight trilogy.
Each were priced at about $3 million
and are fully functional, but not street legal.
Burrow told T Higgins and Jamar Chase
during practice last week,
have I told y'all I bought a Batmobile?
I don't get it for like a year, but I bought one.
That's a flex, that's a fucking flex.
It ain't street legal.
I mean, listen, you collect cars, don't you? You love cars, huh?
Yeah, but they need to be street legal.
I got to be able to drive them on the street.
Hold up.
I know, but something like that would be a collector's item.
Something like, you know, Jay Leno, Rick Ross, some of those dudes that collect things where
it's not street legal.
You put it up and you save it and lay it on down the road.
You know, you paid three million for it.
Think about it.
Maybe 10 years, 20 years from now, you're going to be able to drive it on the street.
You're going to be able to drive it on the street.
You're going to be able to drive it on the street.
You're going to be able to drive it on the street. You're going to be able to drive it on the street. You're going to be able to drive it on the street. You're going to be able to it on down the road. You know, you paid three million for it.
Think about it, maybe 10 years, 20 years from now,
who knows what it might cost
or what it might be worth for that matter.
How much it cost?
What'd you want to say, Sweet?
Three bills, three bills.
Three million.
Three tickets.
Man, listen, y'all better get,
I don't know how much y'all making.
Y'all killing it.
Cause I ain't got it, I ain't got it.
I ain't got it.
Hey, that's Burrow.
That's a 250 million dollar quarterback.
He make 55 a year in football Saturday,
possibly another three to five off the field.
So he probably doing 60 a year.
After Texas, that's about 30, 28.
30?
Yup.
Yeah, I ain't spending that.
Three million on one car?
Three million?
Hey, if I spend three million, it ain't moving nowhere.
Cause that's a house and I ain't talking about no RB.
No, I'm going down there to the car with my boys
and then go buy a villa next to them.
That's what I'm gonna do.
Yeah.
I'm not nothing.
A Batmobile and I can't drive it?
Yes.
He must be a huge fan of Batman or something.
I don't give a damn if he was Batman.
I'm not buying that.
I don't want nothing.
Nah.
Yeah.
Hell nah.
Yeah, I mean, listen, we all have advice
and certain things that we-
What $3 million advice you got?
What, oh me, you know my cheap ass ain't got no-
That's what I was trying to figure out,
shit, I ain't here, I'm not.
But I mean, he probably does, obviously,
for a reason to spend three million on that.
And I think the value of whatever it is he purchased,
the Batmobile, Tumblr, whatever the hell it might be,
years from now, it's gonna be worth 10, 15 times
what he paid for.
I should better be a Babe Ruth card type value
or something.
You better give me something crazy.
On his Wagner.
On his Wagner got the talk.
You didn't give me that or something.
Three million for a card?
Oh no.
Yeah.
And listen, I can't even talk trash.
I think it was 2009 season.
Hell, I leased a goddamn Bugatti for the season,
for the year, like a damn idiot.
What was that payment?
Yeah, but you gotta understand, I was making so,
this was money off the field.
I was making so much off the field.
I don't care, it's due.
What was that payment?
You're saying they go to the...
I was 25,000 a month.
A month?
Oh, hell no!
Yeah. Yeah. no! Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know how I remember how much it was?
Matter of fact, people in the chat,
if you could do me a favor, you know how,
JR, you know how people get in trouble
with their old tweets, like when they become famous
or something, and people go search up their old tweets?
We were playing Philly in the preseason and I tweeted
in the middle of the game on the sideline after I got hit. I literally, literally on the sideline,
I got hit, came to the sideline and tweeted, I'm okay y'all. The NFL fined me 25 grand for tweeting
in the middle of the game and that's how I remember what my Bugatti payments was. Cause once they took it out of my check,
that was the tweet I sent out the next day.
Oh my God.
Hey, chat, if y'all know how to get on Twitter
and go back to, I think I was still playing,
it was probably 2009, 2000.
I guarantee the tweet is still up.
Go search your shit, leave my shit alone.
But bruh, bruh, 25,000, yeah.
They found me what, 50,000
for untying them motherfuckers shoes, dawg.
Hey, that was funny, I remember that too.
Hey, that was funny.
Yeah, I mean, I gotta be making some serious bread.
I gotta be having some serious bread.
But I don't really like, like I said,
like a car like that, man.
And now you got a tie cost 22,000, an oil change.
I'm buying a jet, dog.
I'm buying a jet.
The upkeep, cause it's really not the car,
it's the upkeep.
You know that.
It's just like anything.
You buy a big ass house.
Right.
Stuff like that, you don't drive every day now.
Ain't no way.
You don't drive because of the upkeep.
No, you gotta have a, first of all,
you gotta have a, what my boy got?
He got a car manager.
He got a car manager that manages cars and all that.
So whenever you want to drive,
he pull them up to the front of the house.
And he makes sure everything is.
If you do cars, yeah, you gotta have that.
You know, like a Jay Leno, like a-
Ross.
Seinfeld.
Seinfeld, yeah.
Ralph Lawrence in the cars.
Yeah, Braun in the cars.
F&J.
Jordan.
I forgot a hanger, dawg.
Yes. Bro.
Let me tell you, you got a car collection
that you better not sleep on. I don't know if y'all know him. That's called Rick dawg. Yes. Bro. Let me tell you, you got a car collection that you better not sleep on.
I don't know if y'all know him.
That's called Rick Hendrix.
Oh, Rick.
Yeah.
I don't know Rick.
What, old school?
Old school?
Yes.
Yes.
I'm talking about Corvette split windows.
I'm talking about, yeah, I'm talking about old, old stuff.
He a Chevy guy.
So you know all that Chevy stuff.
Like a Nova, like a Chevelle, stuff like that. My daddy got a couple of Chevy guy. So you know all that Chevy stuff, like a Nova, like a Chevelle, stuff like that.
My daddy got a couple of Chevelles.
Richard Petty is a Mopar guy, Dodge guy.
So he got the Cuda, the Super Bees and stuff like that.
Yeah.
Oh, that's dope.
You know they made one of nine that you go to Mecham
or you go to a Barrett Jackson.
You talking about 2 million, three million, four million dollars.
Woo.
Yeah.
That's what I got to do.
Hey, Meekam, I'm coming to an auto show.
Ocho and I coming to an auto show.
Hold on, he gonna leave me out though.
I wanna go.
Yeah.
You in the car like that?
Yeah, yeah.
Dude, I wanna drive.
Hey, we go down there and get some.
We go down there and buy some.
Let's go down there and be buy some.
Man, what? I got my father's man. Yeah, yeah. Hey, we gonna buy, we gonna sell them like Randy Moss. I want to drive. We go down there and buy something. Let's go down there and buy something.
Man, what?
I got a, my partner, man.
We gonna buy, we gonna tell them like Randy Moss,
straight cash.
Straight cash, I mean.
I want my seats with ostrich in that jump.
Woo.
You know what I'm saying?
Man, see y'all gonna be,
now you gotta keep, you gotta keep the car original.
Oh no, I can do that though.
Unless you gonna get a rest on mine.
Oh no, no, no, if we gonna keep it original,
I ain't gonna lie, I need a 68 Camaro straight up.
Okay.
Big block, I need that.
Okay, I like 68.
Yeah, my pops got one, he got a Chevy,
he restore them and all that,
so I need to match up with pops.
I need to go for a ride with my Pops, man, for a self.
I would like to have a Chevelle, a GTO.
GTO.
Good night, good night.
Eleanor?
God take over.
Eleanor?
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
Yeah, oh, that's the Mustang.
That's the Mustang, Eleanor the Mustang.
Okay, that's what I thought the GTO was.
I thought that was Eleanor.
What movie that was, the Eleanor? That was going to 60 Seconds, right? Mustang. Okay, that's what I thought the GTL was. I thought that was the Eleanor. What movie that was, the Eleanor.
That was going to 60 seconds, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Eleanor was that Mustang.
Mm-hmm.
Oof.
That's cold.
But I do like, I do like, I do like,
I do like old cars.
I want to get, I want to get, I want to get,
I'd like to get a Resto mod.
You know, it has that, but it's modern.
It's a resto, it's old school, but it got modern.
So that way I can drive it, I can drive it
as opposed to getting something that's a 1960
and you can't drive it and that thing will be spitting oil
and leaking all in your driveway.
That's how I feel about them boys with the Broncos
that they're doing now.
You seen them Broncos that they out there doing?
The vintage Broncos?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Them drones is fired. They got the new, they got yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, them drums is fired.
They got the new, they got the new insides,
but it still look kind of old school.
Them drums is tough.

We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like, you're building a team from scratch
and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.

Asante Samuel saw the clips of us debating him in prime and he responded to us, Ocho.
That's your problem, pimp.
You're also brainwashed at Shanna Sharp.
I'm not worried about what everyone perceives to be true.
Like yourself, I stand on facts.
You have yet to talk about the facts.
You can easily be manipulated just like everyone has because of marketing.
I bet you won't debate me.
Big facts.
Shanna Sharp, safety has the of marketing. I bet you won't debate me. Big facts. Shannon Sharp, safety has the short middle.
Nobody's in the deep but me and the receiver.
You don't know the truth, pimp.
You just talking at you with no facts.
Let's talk or you scared like everyone else, bro.
Hey, I ain't even know your answers.
You like, okay, I like that.
I like that. I like that.
Hey, y'all, hey, y'all, hey, listen, we can have a club shay-shay, right?
Listen to me now, stay with me.
You have a club shay-shay, DB edition, a good conversation, PowerPoint presentation style,
film up there to support each of your opinions and facts that you might have.
It ain't no opinion.
He's not time.
What are we debating?
Let me finish, baby.
Let me finish.
Listen, I'm giving you the ultimate content right now.
Something that's never been done before.
A format that's never been done before.
Two players, actually three, because you're a part of a two, three players.
You got Prime and Sonny Samuels and you.
You're one that loves a breakdown film. you. You one that loves a breakdown film.
He's also one that loves a breakdown film.
Now, just picture this.
You think Cat Williams did a whole bunch of numbers.
What you think you and Son sent down, you know,
going over, okay, you want to prove it?
Prove it, Dianna Sky don't lie.
I'm just throwing the idea out there
because the format has never been done before.
I've given Coach Time and myself have given Atante Samuel
more attention since he's been retired
than he's ever gotten.
After tonight, I'm done with this.
There's nothing to debate.
My bad.
There's no one gonna say he's in the realm of time.
He's in the realm of Daryl Revis.
He's in the realm of Rod Woodson or a Charles Woodson
or a Daryl Green or a Mel Blunt.
He's not.
I don't give a damn what he says about the film.
He played more, he played more.
Look, bro, you had an unbelievable career.
Congratulations.
You're just not time.
You're not time.
You're not Rebus.
You're, hold on.
Did he make an all decade team?
Because time made all decade
and he's one of the 100 greatest players of all time.
Let's see his resume.
Let's see his body of work.
100 greatest players of all time. Let's see his resume.
Let's see his body of work.
I complimented him.
I said, time don't believe in wasting motion.
The T-step worked well for Asante.
I gave him a compliment.
Let's see his resume.
Let's see his resume. So he didn't make all decade.
Four time Pro Bowler.
One time All Pro.
How many times, how many Pro Bowls did Ty make?
How many All Team?
Yeah.
Same number of Super Bowls. How many, all team? Yeah.
Same number of Super Bowls. But one guy was a defensive player of the year.
One guy as a defensive back swung the balance of power.
How many DBs can say swung the balance of power?
He go to one team to keep the other team from going.
He goes to the other team and keep that team from going.
Bro, you had an unbelievable career.
You went to a pro bowl, you an all pro.
You're not time.
And that's not a snog.
It's okay.
It's okay.
But I don't know why you getting mad at me.
I tell you what, go find the GM, go find the coach,
go find a player that says,
Asante Samuel is the equivalent or better than time.
That's all you gotta do.
Hell, your son won't say you better than time.
And he a junior.
Let's be real, man.
You coming, I'm the wrong one you.
What you doing?
Where you going?
I got that.
I don't know what you talking about, bro.
I don't know what you talking talking about, bro. I don't know what you're talking about.
I complimented you.
I said you had an outstanding career.
I say the T-step served you well.
I just said you weren't tired.
That's okay.
If somebody says, you know what, Shannon,
you had an unbelievable career.
Shannon, you were at the eight Pro Bowl,
you were first team All-Pro,
you were an All-Decade player,
you were in the Hall of Fame, but you ain't Gromp.
Okay.
You ain't Travis Kelce, okay.
But you ain't gonna go no other tight end
than me talking about you ain't that.
If you wanna say Gromp, if you wanna say Kelsey,
Shannon, you not that, I ain't finna fight you.
But you ain't gonna go no more.
You ain't gonna go no more. You ain't gonna go no more because when I left every record that a tight end could have
I had it catches yards touchdowns most yards of the game.
Hey, so hold on.
I just now that now that you mentioned that when I'm going to come when you will be factoring when it come, when we factor in the numbers and statistics, does that play any factor in Asante's case?
Or it doesn't matter, just curious.
He had more past breakups and fewer interceptions.
How many pick 60s did he have?
All I know is when I left the game,
I had every record that a tight end could possibly have.
Ain't nobody had them but me.
Now they done came along and broke them.
Gonzo broke them and Gaze did this
and Gronk and this and that.
But I don't know why he mad at me.
I gave him a compliment.
Yeah.
I said he had an outstanding career.
I said the T-step for him served him well.
This episode of Night Cap is brought to you by KolaGuard, a non-invasive cola cancer
screening test.
Did you know colon cancer is considered one of the most preventable, yet least prevented
cancers?
When caught in the early stages, colon cancer has a survival rate of 90%.
So screening and early detections are key to reducing overall colon cancer deaths.
That's why the American Cancer Society recommends that if you're at average risk, you begin screening
for colon cancer at age 45. And a convenient way to do that is with colar guard tests. The colar
guard tests allow you to be in control of your colon cancer screening through prescription-based
tests delivered to your door with none of the prep that's required for a colonoscopy.
No liquid prep, no days off, no invasive procedures.
Plus, the coli guard test is affordable.
Most insured patients pay zero dollars and a follow up colonoscopy is needed after a
positive coli guard test.
This is usually covered by insurance also.
So if you're 45 years of older and at average risk,
you can ask your healthcare provider
about screening for colon cancer with the coliGuard test.
You can also request a coliGuard prescription today
at coliGuard.com slash podcast.
The coliGuard test is intended to screen adults 45 and older
at average risk for colorectal cancer.
Do not use coliGuard test if you have had adenomas,
have inflammatory bowel disease,
and certain hereditary syndromes,
or personal or family history of colorectal cancer.
The coli guard test is not a replacement for colonoscopies.
High-risk patients, coli guard tests,
in adults 45 to 49,
is estimated based on a large clinical study
of patients 50 and older.
False positive and false negatives can occur.
Coli guard is available by prescription only.
I like the convo.
I like the dialogue.
I would love, especially for not the casual fan,
but for people that are fans of the game.
I wish we could dive a little bit more.
I'm obviously not here on the show.
I'm just asking you, find a general manager,
find a head coach, find a receiver,
because he talking like he was that.
He might, I guarantee you,
when you find somebody that say he'll top 10,
a top 10 cornerback, if we go back and study history,
top 10 corner, so we got time, we got Revis,
we got Mel Blunt, we got Rod Wilson, we got Darrell Green,
we got a Neils Williams, we got Mel Blunt.
Okay, that's seven right there.
Where are we going to put him in the list of all time and the history of the NFL
if he cracking the top 10? That's your homeboy. He was Florida. I want you to tell me, you tell me.
What would you put him?
No, I ain't asking you.
I just named seven guys.
Which one of those seven guys you are,
you putting him in front of?
You heard me?
Yeah, I'm listening.
I'm asking you.
Oh, I forgot about champ Bailey.
You put him in front of champ?
You ain't answer the question.
Are you putting him in front of champ?
You heard me?
I'm listening, yeah.
Where would you put him?
Where would you rank him?
No, I asked you.
I asked you.
I asked you.
You asked me the questions.
Yes! No, I'm asking. I asked you. I asked you. I asked you many questions. Yes!
No, I'm asking you, where do you rank him?
Based on what you've got.
I'm asking this man, I just asked this man a simple question.
I gave him seven, eight names.
He talking about where would I rank him?
I asked you.
Yeah, because listen.
Don't, I get it.
You gonna probably bump into him.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
But at some point in time.
Hey, hold on, it don't matter who I bump into.
Okay, well you got it in front of the guys
that I mentioned.
But he addressed you.
Why you asking me the question?
He addressed you so I'm asking you,
what are you ranking?
I already done said it.
Are you putting, he's not in front of time.
He's not in front of Revis.
He's not in front of Rod Woodson.
He's not in front of Charles Woodson.
He's not in front of Mel Blunt.
He's not in front of Neils Williams. He's not in front of a Wilson. He's not in front of Mel Blunt. He's not in front of Neils Williams
He's not in front of a champ Bailey. That's seven. Okay, that's seven guys
Okay, not now who is he in front of is he top ten all time in the history?
Dick nitrate Lane a mill tunnel
is here
Hey, hey, uh, uh.
I'm just asking. He got all these facts. Who is he in front of?
I'll tell you what. Who is he in front of the list that I just named?
Who is he in front of the list that I just named?
And you name all time, like all time.
He talking like he all time great. That's the problem.
Nobody got a problem with him saying he's not good.
We're talking about, he talking about,
you talking about all time great.
The guy that I list, he's at the front of the line
Time it male blunt defensive player of the year Charles Wilson defensive player of the year rod was in defensive player of the year
There been a lot of guys
But number two one is at the front of the line. Yeah, he talking like he in that group
There are group. Look we go into a room in the Hall of Fame. Okay, we go into a room. We all into a room, but there are certain guys at certain tables. We in the room, but we not at that
table. He not even in the room. He on the outside. Hey, y'all know I played, right? Yeah, but this for big dog.
Keep it a stack. So I want chat, y'all tell me are the guys that I listed.
Who he better than?
I ain't Mitch and Pat P,
I ain't Richard Mitchell Sherman yet.
I just gave y'all a couple of names.
I want you to tell me who he better than
than the list I listed. Who y'all putting him of names. I want you to tell me who he better than than the list I listed.
Who y'all putting him in front of champ? Y'all put him in front of Deon? Y'all put him in front
of Reivers? Y'all put him in front of Charles Woodson? Rod Woodson? Y'all put him in front of
Mel Blunt? Who are y'all putting champ Bailey? Who are y'all putting him in front of? Asante Samuel, who?
I'm trying to see what the chat talking about. No, I want you to see what the chat talking about.
You played against him.
What you talking about?
You played against Charles Woodson.
You played against Pat P.
You played against Shurm. Who are you putting him in front of?
I ain't playing against Shurm, but you know,
I did my thing everywhere I went.
You hear me?
It was like Halloween.
If I'm not going to do it, I'm coming to get some candy.
I'm asking you a simple question
of the guys that were mentioned, who is he in front of?
guys that were mentioned, who is he in front of?
And I wouldn't say in front of because you mentioned, you know, the greats,
but he has he has the numbers to be in the room. I know I know that much. And you base everything off numbers. When you talk about let me finish before you say anything, when you talk about MJ
and comparison to Michael Jordan,
when it comes to the base in any other sport,
we always bring up the numbers.
But all of a sudden, the numbers are ignored
when it comes to now talking about the dude.
And comparison.
He got four probos.
Now listen, listen.
Hold on, the dude got four probos.
Listen to me, I'm not finished.
Okay.
But again, now we understand,
but when we do a comparison based on greatness,
you know, we do everything with numbers.
I'll tell you what, guess what?
You had a former coach.
Your former coach had three Pro Bowls and 62 picks.
You taking Dick LeBow?
Oh, hey, what you know about LeBow?
Since you like numbers.
Hey, what you know about LeBow, what, what you know about the Bows, what?
What you know about the...
You just told me numbers.
Yeah, I mean, listen, that's what everything is based off of, right?
Yeah. OK, numbers.
OK, let's go all pros.
Let's go probos.
Let's go all decade.
Let's go defensive play of the year. Right.
That's part of numbers also. Just not picks.
OK, OK. OK, just not picks.
Okay, okay. Okay, I got you.
See, I look at it like this.
If you get six picks and you give up eight touchdowns,
what have you done?
Okay, I see what you're doing.
I got it, I like that.
I thought the job of a corner is to take away
more than you give up.
That's a great combo.
I'm just waiting on this man to tell me
who is he better than than the list I renamed.
Now we're gonna have, guess what?
Let's have the conversation.
Hopefully, Lord spare both of our lives.
We're able to have a conversation
another 10 to 15 years.
We will, We will.
I'm going to need to see a gold jacket on his back. Because all the guys that I bitch, now, hey,
Jalen Ramsey is going to be coming up. Richard Sherman is going to be coming up. Pat P is going
to be coming up. You see what he's trying to do, oh, it's all about marketing. Bro, you played on
the Patriots. Ty Law played on the Patriots. Ty Law got a red jacket and a gold jacket. So don't do that bull job about marketing.
If you, who was on TV more than the Patriots?
Oh Joe.
Oh, during, during that, during that 20 year.
You're in that time.
Who?
Yeah.
Oh, so now it's marketing.
Time ain't no marketing, bro.
Yeah.
He market himself to know how to parlay that.
But that man on the field, you better go check them tapes.
Either you can or you can't.
That's a great conversation, boy.
That's a good one there.
Oh, I thought, Willie Brown, Mike Haynes.
Mike Haynes got nine like nine probos.
You better go check.
That's a great combo.
Well, let me grab me a water.
Asante, go ahead, bro.
Asante, you had a great career, bro.
You're a good player.
You just, all I said, you weren't time.
And you had to get personal.
I don't know why.
I mean, if you wanted to come on Nightcap to get your name out there, you could have
did that.
Hey, hey, hey, listen, that is a great combo, bro.
You hear me?
It's a great combo.
What's a great combo?
This one?
I like this.
I just obviously, it's not me as the individual, but I'm just saying that's why I'm just telling you.
And his prime, is he better than Stefan Gilmore?
At some point, a chat,
don't y'all want Ocho to chime in
instead of just talking about this is a great combo?
He ain't say nothing about the man anymore.
I'm listening to you.
You tell him, you tell him.
This is Nightcap, Unc and Ocho.
Hold on, hold on.
We don't listen to each other, we go back and forth.
I've been charming it all, I've been charming it all.
No, you ain't saying that.
I'm listening to you, the listener.
You didn't see what he said, he listening to me.
He addressed Shannon Sharp,
he sent a long message to Shannon Sharp,
so I'm just listening to what he has to say.
Hold on, where did he address Shannon Sharp,
what was Shannon Sharp speaking on?
On what, on him?
On Nightcap On Nightcap.
Nightcap, Unc and Ocho.
Right. So it's your job to answer back.
I get it.
Y'all see, Ocho don't want to chime in.
He for Florida.
Ocho might bump into it.
Y'all know me. I don't give a damn.
I mean, what is bumping in having to do anything?
See, here's the problem.
Here's the thing with Shannon Sharp.
Whatever Shannon Sharp say on nightcap,
Shannon Sharp, if he bumped into said player,
Shannon Sharp is mad enough to stand on that.
Bro, you not Tyin'.
You not Charles Woodson, you not Rod Woodson,
you not Darrell Reivers, you not Mel Blunt,
you not Mike Haynes, you not Darrell Green,
you not Facts.
Now, of the 10 guys that I named, find a coach, find a receiver that say Asante Samuel
is better than any of those guys.
See, the way you make it sound, oh, see you being mean.
How am I being?
Hey, hey.
Ocho.
Ocho.
Where you being, hey, you, you sit,
you hear how you make it sound?
You make it sound like Buddy was trash or something.
I didn't say he was trash, Ocho.
I'm just saying the way you talking,
like you acting like we just sitting here talking about
some just some old bum, we, I'm just saying the way you talking, like you acting like we just sitting here talking about some just some old bum.
I'm just curious.
Ocho, who can I say?
Yeah, I mean, listen, I played the game.
Listen, I played the game.
That could be, that's Ocho.
Wait, stay with me, stay with me.
Stay with me real quick.
I played the game on the other side of the ball.
So I know, I played against Prime. I played against Zonk.
I have an understanding of both and how good they were at what they hold on.
Great is prime was and how good Zonk was.
So it's hard for me to sit here and say, you know, the, the,
the way you do it when I saw it with my own eyes,
I understand how great prime is,
but then I know what that young bull was doing as well
when he was playing.
All I said, I said he was good.
I said he was a very good player, had an unbelievable career.
He used the technique.
He used the technique, he used a technique
that time doesn't approve of.
Two things can be true.
Yes, sir.
Okay, some guys like to play press and open the gate.
Some guys like to press and put hands.
Whatever technique works for you.
But he was talking as if he was the equivalent
because he posted his stats and time stats,
saying, look at our stats.
So he's posting those stats as if he's the equivalent.
And I said, he's not.
I didn't say he wasn't a good player.
I said, he went to Pro Bowls.
I think he was an All-Pro.
I know he won Super Bowls in New England.
That's what I said. Right.
He took offense that I didn't co-sign him.
I don't need no marketing.
I don't need to co-sign.
I think everybody's known.
I didn't have an opportunity to critique time
when he played, when he went back for those two years,
because he was mainly a safety and he didn't start the game.
Okay, that's fine.
But I've never had a problem critiquing any player.
I critique Tom Brady, Peyton Manning,
you name a player, Ray Lewis, receivers,
or T.O. Randy.
I've never had a problem critiquing
because I'm basing it on my not intimate knowledge
of the game and film study.
When I was at CBS, I would watch film.
How many times when I was at CBS or Fox,
when you ever heard a guy called,
tell about Shannon Sharp,
don't know what the hell he talking about?
No, that ain't gonna happen.
See what y'all trying to do. Well, you doing this? That's not what I said. No, no, I've never
said I've never see the difference is skip tried to say
I said I was better than Tom Brady. I said Tom Brady wasn't
playing well. Why would I have a tight end compare myself to a
quarterback? Okay, right, right, right. I would need to compare
myself to Gronk, to Kelsey,
or a tight end.
That's the only way you can get an equivalent.
I said, I said.
Yeah.
Asante had a great career.
Pro bowls, super bowls.
Now, like I said, you wanna say,
Shelly, you ain't Trav, you ain't Grump.
You right.
You right, you got me.
Right.
You got me.
But I'm just confused.
But look, bro, I gave you 15 minutes of fame.
Fame that you never would have got
had you not mentioned me or time.
Enjoy it.
Now, go back to your solitary life.
Nobody's gonna, when was the last,
I tell you what, Ocho, when was the last time,
prior to last night, when was the last, I tell you what, Ocho, when was the last time, prior to last night,
when was the last time you heard somebody
mention Osante Samuel?
Take your time, I'm gonna go get me some water.
Take your time.
Hey, chat, y'all keep Ocho interested.
Hey, anyway, chat, we back. Unc, he's a little upset, he's a little upset.
Other than that, it's a great conversation.
I like it.
I like the dialogue.
I like the back and forth.
I like players also, what we always talk about, having a belief, not only belief in what you
can do and what you've already done, and bring it to the forefront.
Bring it to the forefront and support what it is you've done
in comparison to someone else who is also great.
And that's okay.
Now, a lot of people won't see it that way.
As you can see, it includes none.
One thing I've always do, see, is
if you were bad at what you do,
then I will always come out and say that.
But I played against both,
and I understand how good both were.
I understand how great Prime was,
obviously catching him on the tail at the end of his career,
and obviously playing against Asante,
doing his Prime and understanding how good he was,
how much of a student of the game he was.
And what I'm not going to do is diminish
what I was able to see for years while I was playing, and understand it, watch and feel him here, and understand how good he was, and what I'm not going to do is diminish what I was able to see for years while I was playing and understanding, watching film, and understanding how good
he was and how savvy he was technically.
So it's different coming from someone that actually played on the opposite side and understand
how good he was.
So it's hard to say, oh, he's not, whoa, whoa, whoa, I had to go against this.
I had to go against that for years.
So it's different.
It's different.
You know, especially in a lot of people in the chat,
obviously some of the comments on Twitter,
on X, whatever it may be,
their feelings are always different as well,
because it's based off who you know and what they've done.
Hey, that was good.
I just ask you a simple question. Which one? as well because it's based off who you know and what they've done. Hey, that was good.
I just ask you a simple question. Which one?
Prior to last night and today,
when was the last time you heard somebody mention
a Sante Samuel?
Oh, I'm supposed to know.
I'd be on nightcap.
Every time a tight end break a record,
who record they sitting there?
The most 150 yard game, the most lost disc, the most that. Every Sunday in the NFL season when the tight end breaker record, who record they set up there? The most 150 yard game, the most lost disc, the most that.
Every Sunday in the NFL season when the tight end
does something, who name is up there?
When they have them names, he just pass this one.
Who name is also up there?
Ocho?
Ocho?
Don't worry about Ocho.
Hey, chat.
All I try to do, I try to, you know, try to go back and forth.
But Ocho, you know, Ocho's like, hey.
We did, we did go back and forth.
That was a good one though.
No, you laughing.
I'm saying, I'm for real.
That was a good one. I don't. That was a good one though. No, you laughing. I'm saying for real, that was a good one.
That was a good one.
