Thank you again for joining us for another episode of Nightcap. I'm your favorite sports hunk, Shannon Sharp. The guy that just dropped down and gave you 15 push-ups right quick in the Jets
Starting point is 00:03:20 jersey is your favorite number 85 Bengals ring of famer, one of the great route runners in NFL history. The greatest. One of Chad Ochoacico Johnson and the guy in the box to the top left, now that's my dog.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Me and this dude go, if y'all want to do this, if y'all want to do this, I'll do it. Jay Chavis is going to wear everybody glasses. If y'all want to do it. Now, during it. You ain't telling me you're going to wear everybody glasses. You don't want to do it. Now, during the season, I didn't bother. But once the season's been over, I've been on the phone. We've been talking every day.
Starting point is 00:03:54 That's my dog. You know it. Coach Prime, the greatest quarterback of all time, one of the top five defenders in NFL history. Top five. Top five. Stop all that. Stop all that. Top all that.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Ain't no top five. Who we debate with, Ty? How you going to talk about five? How you going to put me in the top five? That's insinuating. Last thing they heard was five. You can't do that. You jump at LT?
Starting point is 00:04:19 Eh? What are you? I was going to be scared of LT? This goes to the LT? You remember the last time? Tell them where we from. Where we from? Hey, you remember the last time we was at the Hall of Fame,
Starting point is 00:04:31 and I got on LT and Ricky Jack, we started joining backstage. But we'll save that for a little later in the show. Thank you for allowing us to be 467,000 subscribers. We've also been in shape by Laporte at the top of the chat. The holidays are right around the corner.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Make sure you go out and get yourself a bottle or for someone that you love. Time. We're going to jump right into it. The Ravens beat the Jags 23-7. The Ravens improved to 11-4. Clinch a playoff berth. The Baltimore Ravens have won 11 games this season for the first time since 2020
Starting point is 00:05:08 and for the third time in the last five years. Lamar, 14-24, 171, one touchdown, one pick. Trevor Lawrence was 25-43, 264, one touchdown, two fumbles. Tom, you watched this game. What did you like about the Ravens? I loved them defensively. I loved them defensively. I loved them defensively. They kept pressure on.
Starting point is 00:05:32 They got so many playmakers up front. Linebackers run from sideline to sideline. Reminding you about Sugar, you should run from sideline to sideline. Right. They don't make a lot of mistakes, man. Defensively, they just don't make a lot of mistakes. And when you have an offense, you know, led by Lamar, and they control the clock, man.
Starting point is 00:05:52 They keep possession. It's tough to beat them. It really is. Because he is so capable of doing anything, making a throw, making a run, extending the drive to get a first down. I love what the Baltimore Ravens are doing right now. It's not spectacular, but I love how they do what they do. Ocho, and you watch, and you saw Lamar ran around for about three or four seconds,
Starting point is 00:06:13 maybe even five seconds, throw the pass down the field, lively jumps up and catch it, and the defensive guy just sitting down, and he looks up at Lamar like, damn, you did that again? I mean, come on. I mean, he's looking at his sidelines, looking at the team like, bro. I mean, what am I supposed to do? There's nothing you can do. Lamar's special.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Lamar's dynamic. What I like about Lamar and what he's done is he's proved the doubters wrong, where everyone has said he is a running back. He's a run first quarterback. But this season, he's done something that we haven't seen him do consistently throughout the entirety of a season. He showed that he can be a pocket passer first, he can process, make the reads he needs to make, and make all the throws, whether short, intermediate, or deep balls. And the players that he has are making the plays for him, as you saw tonight. And the funny thing about it is I could just sense the frustration in the defenders' faces. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:06 You got Lamar, you got him tackled, you got him going down to the ground, and he's still getting the ball off and making the passes and completing them. And obviously, them being number one in the AFC North,
Starting point is 00:07:17 rightfully so, based on their play the entire season. When you look at Lamar, he should have been dispelled that coach. Because when you win the MVP, you throw 36 touchdowns, you throw six picks, and you're unanimous. There have only been two unanimous
Starting point is 00:07:34 MVPs since they started voting for MVPs. It's he and Tom Brady. So you're a unanimous MVP. You're no longer a running back that can throw. You're a quarterback that can run when necessary. When you look at this team and the way they're constructed,
Starting point is 00:07:50 great special teams. Lamar Jackson is Lamar Jackson. They can run the football. We know they get off the bus, they're going to run the football. We know that. Everybody knows that. And their defense, you mentioned, sideline to sideline with the linebackers, a defensive line that doesn't have big names,
Starting point is 00:08:05 but they can get relentless pressure in the corners. You still have Marlon Humphrey back there. Even though you're free safety, Hamilton didn't play. We know he's a playmaker of free safety. What do you like most about this Ravens team? And how far do you think they can go in the AFC? I like them, but I don't love them. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:23 The reason I don't love them is because they do everything good, but I don't see what they do great. Okay. And when you get to the playoffs and you get down to it, you got to have a team that can stop the run and can run the ball. They can do both. But then it comes down to Lamar. And that's why he gets criticized.
Starting point is 00:08:43 If he don't have one of those Lamar Jackson games, we get critical because he has to put the whole entire offense and team on his back. That's why he receives the criticism. And it's not warranted because he plays fantastic. This is the only MVP that we... How do you have an MVP holding out for money? It's true. Where they do that at? It doesn't really make sense, but that's the
Starting point is 00:09:09 thing with him. If he doesn't play great, we put it all on him, not the rest of his teammates. Ocho, what you thinking? What do you see? What do you like? What do you dislike? Listen, I like what Prime said. The Ravens do everything good. They do everything great on defense, on the defensive side of the ball, but once we get to the playoffs, you think about some of the team that they're going to have to see. Some of the AFC offenses that can put up points. We took about 28, 30-some points a game. Will the Ravens be able to match that, even though their defense is good? What happens if you get into a shootout?
Starting point is 00:09:41 if you get into a shootout? What if it's a day where it's like the Cowboys, where you have an off day defensively, and you have to rely on the offense to be able to score points, where you're going against
Starting point is 00:09:50 the goddamn Buffalo Bills, or you're going against people like the Chiefs, or the Dolphins, for that matter. So will you be able to have a shootout with a team like that?
Starting point is 00:09:59 So Lamar Jackson, not only Lamar has to be on, so does that receiving core in Bateman, in Odell, in Brothers A Flowers. All the boys got to be on, so does that receiving core in Bateman, in Odell, in Brothers A Flowers. All the boys got to be on, including the tight ends. Yeah, I agree with both of you. I have to say the thing is that when you are more a run-dominant team,
Starting point is 00:10:15 the problem that you run into, especially in the playoff time, and guys, you know this, if you fall behind, how conducive is your offense for coming from behind? We know if you get the lead, you can take the air out of the ball and you can keep a Patrick Mahomes off the field. You can keep a tour off the field. You can keep a Josh Allen off the field. But if you fall behind 10 or 14 points and they force you. If you fall behind, if they fall behind, everybody drops eight or they drop seven, man.
Starting point is 00:10:43 You rush for and you make him hit the hole. You drop into a zone. or they drop seven, man. You rush four and you make him hit the holes. You drop into a zone. You don't play it, man. You just drop into a zone and make him have to pinpoint that pass and that's when there's a problem. Although he can throw. I don't know why they say he can't throw and he's not accurate because he
Starting point is 00:10:59 can. But, you know, this is one thing is a question to me that rubbed me the wrong way okay and then chad maybe you can help me with this yes sir you know i love lamar and i think he's been criticized unfairly and unjustified me so but when he's your homie that you grew up with like when he opts to go to another team man that that that right there, it made me say, what's up with that? I didn't know what was up with that. When your boy opts to go, you know, to Arizona.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Hollywood. You talking about Hollywood? Yeah. I can tell you what that is. But tell me. Well, obviously, because Hollywood wanted to be more in a pass-first type offense. You know? Right. You think about the Ravens. The Ravens are a run-dominated oriented offense.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Correct. It has always been that way. And I think the dynamic is what forced Hollywood to want to go somewhere where he thought he would get the ball and get the opportunities. But you see how that's conflicting, how that makes other receivers around the league feel about Lamar. And I love Lamar. I think he's that guy. But when you see that, that makes someone say,
Starting point is 00:12:13 yeah, why would I go there? I'm not getting no numbers. I'm not going to be, I'm not going no pro bowl. I'm not going to be no all pro. Like, and it just makes you think. And I think it's unjustifiable. That's why I'm hoping, I think they changed their thought process,
Starting point is 00:12:31 and they went in the draft and said, you know what? We're not going to get around to free agency. Right. We got to draft. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Because guys want to catch, time you played 14 years, I played 14 years, Ocho, you played over decades. As a wide receiver, blocking his fight, you're like, hey, I want my running backs to get long runs,
Starting point is 00:12:49 but I'm a receiver. I'm here to catch the ball. But it goes to show me. Now, I thought you wanted to win because you know the Ravens was winning when Hollywood was there. Now, he ain't come close to getting to them. I mean, I think they went to the playoffs, what, two years ago? Yeah, they want to win nowadays, but they want to get paid too.
Starting point is 00:13:06 That's a new man now. I want to win and get my number, Ty. Let me win and get a hundred catches. 1,300 yards. I don't know if it's that way. Win, then get the numbers. I think it's get the numbers, then win. It's a new player out there right now.
Starting point is 00:13:22 But you know what, guys? Tell me if you're with me on this. Lamar Jackson, so much is on his plate that if he's off slightly, they're going to lose. Brock Purdy can be off slightly, but because he has a C-Mac, he has a D-Bow, he has a Kittle, he has an Iuke, they can overcome it. You look at Josh Allen.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Okay. I mean, I think he and lamar burden uh shoulders a lot more burden than say a brock purdy or dag prescott because i think the biggest thing we're gonna talk about the cowboys is their inability to run the football and they miss zeke a lot more than they thought they would but i think when i look at lamar and i look at their team everything is contingent on him if he's off off lightly, they're not winning. That's right, but you got to understand, man. As much as given, as much as required.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Okay. We can't hand you a bag and everything you need better be in that bag, all right? That's just what you need. Better be in that bag. That's just how it is. And that's what we expect from all these handsomely paid quarterbacks because they've earned it.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Mahomes, yeah. You got to produce. I think the thing right before we get off topic on Lamar, the thing with Lamar is he's so special. He's so special that there are certain things and certain dynamics that happen within a game that he
Starting point is 00:14:42 can overcome. If he's not playing perfect, all he's going to need is for Zay Flowers, Odell, and Rashad Bateman to play consistent, decent football for four quarters. Yeah, but see, the difference is, it's like the quarterback not playing, because here's the thing,
Starting point is 00:14:59 the 49ers, they can run the football. If Brock Purdy's having an off day, Christian McCaffrey can run you out of the building. He still can go get you 125, 130, and get you two or three touchdowns. Because they're not incumbent on them throwing the ball down the field. Now, Purdy
Starting point is 00:15:13 can throw the ball down the field, but look how many swing passes he give to Christian McCaffrey or Texas Rod, he give McCaffrey, and all of a sudden, he's getting 10 yards. Don't forget Debo. Please don't forget Debo. What's the balls in Debo's. Or Debo. Don't forget Debo. Please don't forget Debo. Oh, man. Debo is running. What's the ball in Debo's hands?
Starting point is 00:15:29 Debo is as good a receiver. And then they have an all-pro tight end. Like, let's not forget all these. No, let's not forget all these. And then, you know, you got the whole left side locked down with Big Trent. He locking it all down. Oh, yeah. But I just say, I won't. I hope Lamar because the people say, well, Shannon, you're so hard on him.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Bro, he's an MVP. We're supposed to be hard on MVPs. Right. There's only three. You're not hard on him. You have expectation. You're not hard. You have high expectations.
Starting point is 00:15:59 That's what that is. Do you realize there's only three current players in the NFL that are MVP? Lamar, Patrick Mahomes, and no, Rodgers. There's only three. So shouldn't the expectations be there
Starting point is 00:16:18 for a unanimous MVP to be consistent? Look, we're not expecting you to throw for 304 touchdowns every game, but there has to be consistent. Look, we're not expecting you to throw for 300 and four touchdowns every game, but there has to be a level of expectations given what you've already accomplished. We can't say, well, Shannon, he's still young. Bro,
Starting point is 00:16:34 he's an MVP, a unanimous MVP. He's been an all-pro. He was selected by his peers as the best player in the league one year. So we can't regress because things don't go his way. That's not my arm. I just wanted the people to know that's not my arm.
Starting point is 00:16:50 That's not your mic? That's not my arm. I didn't want them to think that was my hand. They didn't want them to think that was me. Okay, we're going to move along. We're going to go to the Cowboys. The Bills dominate the Cowboys 31-10. The Cowboys are now 3-4 on the road, 7-0 at home.
Starting point is 00:17:08 They score a little less than 22 points on the road, score almost 40 points at home. People are upset for McCarthy leaving his starters in. I ask that very question. I ask because heading into the – I think Dak had like 50, 60 yards with a little bit of like 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter. And, you know, he got his touchdown, yada, yada, yada. But when you watch the Cowboys, what do you not like about them, Ty?
Starting point is 00:17:37 I love them. I'm not going to say it's one particular thing I don't like about them. I love them. I just want them to continue to be consistent. Don't fool me, man. Don't tease me. We don't like to be fooled. We don't like to be teased. Don't take me all the way to the altar and then you're going to
Starting point is 00:17:54 dip on me. Don't do that. Don't get me feeling that you're going to do something. You don't want to do that. Don't get me in there. Don't you get me in there like that. All right? Oftentimes, the Cowboys have the propensity to do that. Don't get me in there. Don't you get me in there like that. All right? And oftentimes the Cowboys have the propensity to do that.
Starting point is 00:18:10 And I'm just hoping this was just one of those games. We've all had in our careers have had just one of those games where it just went right offensively, defensively. It just didn't work. You just got your butt kicked. Let's flush it. Let's move on. Let's go. Don't even talk about it. Let's don't even mean about it. I don't even want to watch flush it. Let's move on. Let's go. Don't even talk about it.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Let's don't even need about it. I don't even want to watch the film. Let's go on to the next game. That's one of those games. Right. When you look at this game, though, you see the weather is what it is. The bill says we're going to run the football, and we don't believe you can stop us
Starting point is 00:18:38 because there's something to be said about a team that runs the football. It becomes personal. And when you run the football, Ocho and Tom, we talk about this all the time. You're moving a man against his will. He's got his hand in the dirt. You've got your hand in the dirt. And he says, I'm not going anywhere. And that offensive lineman say, the hell you say?
Starting point is 00:18:56 You moving up out of here. And here comes Cook, James Cook, running the ball 266 yards. Josh Allen was 7 of 15 for 94 yards he said after the game I felt like the kid that didn't participate in the science project and got a let that sink in for a second yeah what we're seeing what we see what I see is that when the defense can't turn you over you can't get pick sixes and scooping scores, and the Cowboys, you've got to fight tooth and nail the entirety of the game. They've turned it down more times than not.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Now, we saw them go on the road and lose to an Arizona team minus Kyler Murray. We saw them go on the road to San Francisco, and that ain't no shame because San Francisco been thumping the hell out of a lot of people. And then we saw them almost, you know, they lose, they give up 30-something points to the Eagles. That's not a good sign, because more than likely, you're going to probably have to go on the road. You're going to
Starting point is 00:19:55 get to where you want to get, which is Las Vegas. You're going to have to go through San Francisco. It's going to go through the Bay. This is my problem, Shaq, and I don't know where y'all stood on this, but I'm, you know, I have an opinion. Of course. Cam says some profound things. Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:13 A lot of people took shots at Cam, the man, not Cam, the quarterback. And I don't understand because to me, Cam ain't really done nothing for us to critique him as a man. As a man, Cam has been outstanding as a man. Yeah. Okay. So where do we get that we don't honor the opinion of a former MVP? Now, see, this is one of those games. We don't like it.
Starting point is 00:20:40 That's right. Okay. That's what I'm saying. Forget the man.'m saying forget the man his opinion he's a former MVP now you start thinking about this is one of those games where
Starting point is 00:20:54 your quarterback got to carry you man what we just got finished talking about Lamar right yeah all the pressures on Lamar to put you on his back and do his thing. Yes. That was one of those games, man.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Yeah. That was one of those games. And that might be what Cam was talking about. That's exactly what he was talking about. Okay. You know what? Sometimes we'll miss the message. Sometimes we'll miss the message if we don't like the messenger.
Starting point is 00:21:23 If we don't like the messenger. If we like the messenger, even if the message is wrong, we'll miss the message if we don't like the messenger if we don't like the messenger if we like the messenger even if the message is wrong we'll receive it but even if we don't like the messenger the message can be oh man I love Dank and I think Dank is fighting right now for the MVP I really do I think that might have
Starting point is 00:21:38 put him second now that might have diminished him because of that. But those are the type of games where it ain't nothing working. Yeah. Hey, man, y'all got to get
Starting point is 00:21:51 on my back and let's go. Because we criticize Lamar like that. Yes. Yeah, we criticize those Mahomes like that. Yeah. Yeah, we criticize
Starting point is 00:22:00 all those guys like that. And those are those type of games, man. But then when you think about it right you know we talk about Dak and not playing well you talk about the receiving court really not being there so Dak can can succeed in a game like today where nothing is going right especially for the Cowboys defensively but then we give no credit to the Cowboys in the defense that they played against oh you mean Buffalo you mean? You mean Buffalo? Yeah, I mean, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Buffalo. Go ahead. You know, for the scheme that they had where they weren't able to run the ball, they weren't able to throw the ball. I'm not going into the third quarter. Dak had how many yards? I don't got my numbers in front of me. How many yards?
Starting point is 00:22:38 He had 60-something yards. It was bad. And listen, CeeDee Lamb been cutting a fool for the past three, four weeks in a row. All year. Yeah, that too, all year. So what happened today? What did the Bills do so special all of a sudden? Because
Starting point is 00:22:54 today's game is similar to what you're going to see in the playoffs. They're going to scheme in certain ways. They got out on them and they made them one-dimensional. And if you really look at it, why did Mike McCarthy get Miller killing more? he said he wanted to be more balanced he wanted to run and throw the football he wanted to be more 50 50 and he felt that they was a pass a more pass happy offense than a run the cowboys with the exception
Starting point is 00:23:19 of maybe maybe one or two games they haven't run the ball this year like they did last year. And they missed Zeke on those tough one yards because Zeke had like 12, 13 touchdowns last year. Torley Pollard, I don't know why they thought a guy that was 185 is going to be your every down back. Now, I'm not saying he probably won't. That's business, Shannon. That's not the preference of the better man.
Starting point is 00:23:42 That comes down to business. And that's what it came down to. Don't it all come down to business? Of course. That's what it came down to. Don't it all come down to business? Of course. That's what it came down to. Dollars and cents, always. Right, right. But most times, dollars don't make sense.
Starting point is 00:23:53 So that was 21-34, 134 interceptions, no touchdowns, and the Cowboys were only five of 13 on third down. Third down. This is the opportunity. And like Cam was saying, like I said, I think it has a lot to do with who said what he said. Because remember, now you and I, when we was on NFL Network and we've been on a lot of shows together, you and I say the NFL was watered down. And oh, Shannon, you and Tom are haters.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Y'all are old. Get your old self back on the porch. Tom Brady said exactly what many of us have been saying for the longest time. And everybody applauded. But what they didn't applaud was Tom Brady was the chief beneficiary of this watered-down league. Now, all of a sudden, they're like, whoa, whoa, Shannon, you hating. I'm not hating. But I'm just telling you, you can't attack the quarterback like you once
Starting point is 00:24:47 could. You can't attack the receiver. Time, you came in. Chad would have went off. Chad, you do know. But in today's era? You know you'd have been a $30 million receiver. You do know that, Ray. Man, don't do me like that. $30, $40. I'm telling you. $40. But time,
Starting point is 00:25:03 you remember when you first got into the league and when I came into the league and there was no defensive receiver and you could attack the quarterback? Man, they was trying to hit your mama. They was trying to hit your mama in the stands right there, boy. Yeah. Don't hurt my baby. I remember running loud telling one of our
Starting point is 00:25:26 receivers, I'm going to kill you, boy. I said, what is that? And they literally tried to, I mean, they didn't want to hurt you for the entirety of the season, but they tried to knock your ass out of the game.
Starting point is 00:25:40 The game. Ty, do you remember ever defending a one-step slant? The way these guys run one-step slant routes now? Yeah. Man, them linebackers, Singletary, them guys, John Offerdahl, those guys would knock you into next week. Yeah, you would make it.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Yeah, they're not getting hit right now. The game is different. The game is different. And back to what Brady said, and as far as the league being watered down, this is because of the competition committee. This is because of the NFL, because the NFL wanted to make the offense, make it make the offenses have score points, make the game more entertaining for fans, you know, so fan can be engaged a little bit more. So now they've handicapped defensive players where they throwing flags on everything. You can't hit nobody in a minute. I said it trying to be funny in a minute.
Starting point is 00:26:26 They're going to be playing two hand touch. But they did. They did. Now they did. Because you remember now we were dead serious at the Pro Bowl come second half. Oh, yeah. Oh, we're trying to pay for everything. That second half?
Starting point is 00:26:38 Hey, that second half. That second half? We're trying to pay for everything. That was garbage. Because we got that bill. Yeah. Yeah. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Home service was what? Oh, hold on, hold on. Room service was what? Oh, no, no, no. Hey, hey, man, we got to pay for this. Yes. We got to win. Yeah. We got to win. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:55 I mean. We was planning to pay for the room service and the expenses. Because you done brought family members over there. You already had to ask. After you did it that one time, that was it. You know, we learned after that first time.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Never, never again. And that was the thing. But time, remember you and I talked about it. I said, they're going to do away with this. I said, them owners
Starting point is 00:27:15 and Commissioner Goodell. They had to. I was like, how you go over there and you literally don't, this is tackle football and you touch the guy and the guy stops.
Starting point is 00:27:25 I got a confession. I got a confession by the Pro Bowl, man. I'm not going to lie to you. After I got that bill, I literally ordered a little refrigerator. You did. I was there that year. You ordered that refrigerator and haven't put it in your room. I had to put it in my room
Starting point is 00:27:41 and I went to the grocery store and got some cereal and some milk. I said, we're going to stop this. Y'all can eat breakfast right here. I remember this. Y'all go get some breakfast. At that time, you remember that time we had transferred to the Iolani because we had to hit the Hawaiian village.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Oh my God, Chad. Oh my God. You? At the hidden Hawaiian village? First of all, everybody was air-batted. It was secluded. Right, right, right. They used to let everybody in their mama
Starting point is 00:28:09 over at the hidden Hawaiian village. You run into everybody, huh? Oh, you come out the room and just see somebody you went to high school with. It was open like that. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:28:19 I saw somebody I didn't go to high school with, but I wanted to go to high school with. You know what I'm talking about? That's what I'm trying to tell you. That's what I'm trying to tell you. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Those were the days.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Those were the days. Hey, man, y'all, y'all, shut up, man. Oh, man. Those were the days. And it was back then, you couldn't tell nobody, hey, man, hey, what room you in? You yell it if you want to.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Hey, the whole bill, what room you in? You're yelling if you want to. Hey, the whole bill, the whole bar bill will be on you. Be on your room. And you don't know what happened. You'd have told the wrong person your room number. Nah, man. I ain't even staying here. The 49ers blast the Cardinals. Brock
Starting point is 00:28:59 Purdy, four touchdowns, zero interceptions. Now Brock Purdy leads the NFL in touchdown passes with 29. He's second in the NFL in passing yards, and he's first in QBR. Dak is second in touchdowns, fifth in yards, second in QBR. Guys, when I look at the 49ers, it's going to take a Herculean effort for some team to go in there and beat them. They have to have an off day offensively.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I'm talking about a complete off day. Everybody got to be off. Or one of the key guys get injured, like it was last season. That's what happens. You don't wish that on nobody. No. But that's what has to happen
Starting point is 00:29:35 because those boys are playing some ball, man. And they playing defensively. Did you see the way that boy broke on that thing? Award? Yes. Tredavious? Yes. Hey, listen.
Starting point is 00:29:46 That ain't nothing but film study and no one was coming. That's all it is. It was. And you're right. Nothing but film study and no one was coming. Housed it.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Yeah. You can't think against yourself. If you hesitate, you beat. That's right. That's the difference between a pick six and a knockdown pass. That's right.
Starting point is 00:30:04 That's the difference but when you look at this team because they can run it you know they can run it they know they can run it when they stick that ball in the belly of christian mccaffrey or that backup running back kiddo running free. Kenning's free. Everybody free. Mm-hmm. I mean, they're like, Oprah, you get a touchdown. McCaffrey could have beat him. You get a touchdown. You get a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:30:29 He could beat MVP as well. McCaffrey could beat MVP as well. Yes, yes, yes. He has 20 touchdowns total, and he's leading the league in rush yards. Yeah. Unbelievable. It's crazy. Wait, mind you, he got 509 receiving yards on top of that.
Starting point is 00:30:44 I love that kid, man. I love that kid. I love this father. Oh, yeah. Mind you, he got 509 receiving yards on top of that. I love that kid, man. I love that kid. I love his father. That whole family. That whole family could ball. Awesome. I think the housekeepers, everybody could ball in the house.
Starting point is 00:31:00 But Ty, you and I have been in this business a long time. What's the better story? A first-round pick who far comes from pedigree winning the mvp or a misty irrelevant a seventh round draft pick the last pick in the draft winning mvp what's because it's all you know sports is about stories right people oh oh when no no no no if if it was just about the score they wouldn't need they wouldn't color. They wouldn't need play-by-play guys because the play-by-play and the color, they give you the story of the game. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:31:31 If it was just all about the score, they could just, okay, score the touchdown. We know what the score is, but they're telling you the storyline of the game and the best story right now. And it might be just like, you remember when Kurt Warner won it a time in 99? Here's a guy that was bagging
Starting point is 00:31:49 the guy that came out of the Iowa Barnstormers. And the next thing you know, he's the MVP. He wins the Super Bowl. He's Super Bowl MVP. Oh, he deserved it now. Kurt deserved that thing now. Oh, the greatest show on turf. I love this
Starting point is 00:32:04 kid. I do love this kid, but I'm going to tell you where the hating is going to start. It's going to start at the conclusion of it because they're not going to want to pay him. They're not going to want to pay him what he's worth. What they'll do is start finding little things to knock his game. That's not fair to him
Starting point is 00:32:20 because the boy's balling. They're going to say, okay, go somewhere else and do it. Here, you have all those intangibles on the field with you like you just forementioned. So are you really that guy? Or do you need all this assistance that only we can provide
Starting point is 00:32:36 for you so now that diminishes your bag? But when you come in like he came in and to go on right now it's 50. He said, I take 40. I'm good. I take, I might, you might not want to get because he's, he's in the second year.
Starting point is 00:32:53 So he has three years. So next year he can really get the bag. You know what? The bag next year. You don't wait till the next year though. You want to go and get it now? You don't do that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:01 You got, you got to get him now. Yeah. You don't, you don't let him go to free agency. You don't do that. If you let a man go to free agency, you don't do that. Yeah, you got to get him now. Yeah, you don't let him go to free agency. You don't do that. No, no, no, no. If you let a man go to free agency, you don't want him. Yeah. And then because you know what happens when you go to free agency.
Starting point is 00:33:13 You have to overpay to keep him. That's right. But look what you just said. Look what you just said. Probably upstairs management is going to say, you know what? We don't want to pay you because you're playing so well based on the supporting cash you have around you. So then what do they do? What do they do if they don't think he is the guy?
Starting point is 00:33:29 No, no, but you got to understand how he came up. Right, right, right. He didn't come up like we came up. We were supposed to do what we did, okay? Right, right. So he wasn't supposed to. He's missing relevant, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Therefore, instead of getting 50, what they're getting right now, 40 a year straight with him you know what I mean you getting ready to give me a quarter of a billion dollars for this I didn't expect that I'm good I ain't been afraid of y'all with that
Starting point is 00:33:57 I'm straight how they look at it they gonna say you know we believed in you when no one else did we took a chance on you. I'm just free, Shannon. I was a seventh-round draft pick. I was the guy that came and asked for a little bit more money. Well, you know, Shannon,
Starting point is 00:34:13 you know, we believed in you when no one else did. Now, we got you. You got a great situation, a quarterback that loves you, the offense. I'm like, I understand all that, but can I get paid according to what I'm worth? And I think the thing is with him, the going rate, I mean, it's like I got to get with Justin Herbert.
Starting point is 00:34:33 At least I want to play. I want a playoff game. Right. They always said they believe had he not hurt his elbow in that championship game, they believe they would have beat Philly. They went back with the sole purpose to say, this is what would have happened to you, you know what, had I not gotten hurt.
Starting point is 00:34:51 I hadn't seen it, though. I hadn't seen it. Like, Kurt did it. I take that back. Kurt did it and Romo did it. But I haven't seen a guy that wasn't projected to be that guy. No. Getting paid like they're supposed to get paid right except for those two
Starting point is 00:35:06 right it kurt warner and romo right but they got it but if you think about what he did remember now what they gave up to get trey lance that's their future and the only reason that we brush over it is because they got purdy do you understand how they would have been eviscerated if they didn't have a Brock Purdy? I like that word. I don't know what that means, but I like that word. They would have got destroyed. Chance just sitting there like, yeah, eviscerated.
Starting point is 00:35:34 That's a big word. That was out my context. Hey, Ocho, we just hit a live 40,000 in the chat live right now. New record. What, 40,000? Congratulations, Coach Prime, for joining us. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:35:50 I love it. You know y'all my dogs. Y'all my dogs. Y'all know my dogs. You got to give me credit. I'll leave you alone during the season because you know how we use the dogs. Not really. I'll be calling you. You do. But I'll be busy. You see all the jobs I door. Not really. Not really. I be calling you.
Starting point is 00:36:05 You do. But I be busy. You see all the jobs I got. I'm part of the making. You ain't never too busy with us. And I always check on Chad. I always check on Chad. I checked on you.
Starting point is 00:36:15 I checked on you once this year. I didn't want to bother you. I didn't want to bother you. But you did. Quit lying. Both of y'all lying. But you did tell me you was coming to see me. You told me you was going to come get on the field with me. Receivers ain't seen you yet. Wait. I can't. Because come get on the field with receivers. I ain't seen you yet.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Wait, I can't because I got like 37 jobs right now. I can't even get out of town. You're supposed to. You don't work all year. You could have came in the summer. You could have came at camp. You could have came anytime. And one thing about Shannon.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Shannon be lying to me, but he will show up. He got some other stuff that we can talk about on TV. I got a question. But he don't. Okay, I got a question. So listen,'t want to... Okay, I got a question. So listen, I'm going to put you on the spot. I'm going to put you on the spot right now. Since I already have 37 jobs, let's make it 38.
Starting point is 00:36:53 How about you hire me to come be the assistant receiver coach? You don't want to do that. You ain't dedicated like that. But I didn't have instruction disciplines in 1968. Yeah, but you ain't dedicated like that, coach. You dedicated to play, but you ain't dedicated to coach. You ain't do that. You ain't like that.
Starting point is 00:37:09 So you basically, you going to try to give me some mumbo jumbo and just say, you know what, I don't want to hire you. Why don't you just say no? No, I will bring you in as an analyst,
Starting point is 00:37:16 but you can't be there every day. You ain't going to be there every day. I know you. You do know I know you. Listen, I love the kids. No, you love the kids. I got to let my... Yeah, I love the kids. I got his map. You love the kids. You love the game.
Starting point is 00:37:29 But you're not going to be there every day. Where's your coach? Where am I going to be at? He'll get back at us. He texted all of us this morning. He'll get back at us. But see, before he got the job, when he didn't have the job at Jackson State,
Starting point is 00:37:43 we talked at least four or five times a day. Really not about football, just a lot about a bull jive. Okay, he goes to Jackson State and I call him two or three times a week, mainly about bull jive,
Starting point is 00:37:54 a little bit of football. But when he got there, that's the first year I said, I got to let him get his feet wet, let him get in there, let him get his bag out, and then, you know, I will hit him up.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Now, this year ain't going to be like last year. Because you already know what to expect. You done got in good. So now I'm finna act the fool. Okay. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:38:12 You know what I just thought about? I just thought about it. I done got turned down two brothers that I love. Y'all supposed to uplift me. I done asked both of y'all to do something for me. What did? I done asked Unc, right? I've been begging him for three months.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Man, get me on first tape. He done sold me a dream. I didn't ask you to let me come be a coach at or assistant at Colorado. You done told me no. So both of y'all done turned me down. And we got a bunch of people. I mean. You do know we know you, right?
Starting point is 00:38:46 Y'all supposed to be helping me climb the mountain. Now, Shannon, I heard what Shannon did to you, but he was right. He said, let me get in here first. Yes. Let me work it out and let me do my thing. He done been in there three months. Three months. No, but he ain't in all the way yet. He don't know everybody's name. He just get
Starting point is 00:39:01 in there and, you know, he just get straight. He just got the whole makeup situation straight. So, you know, he just get straight. He just got a whole makeup situation straight. So, you know, he just get in there right. You dirty time. You dirty. You dirty. Chad told me to say that. Okay, anyway. Okay. Anyway. He got all that straight. Now he good.
Starting point is 00:39:17 I know you. I know you. You know I know you. If you give me a job, I will move to Colorado, man. I will uproot everything in Miami and I will come to Colorado. You know that. I promise you. Well, if grandma wasn't alive right now, she'd cuss you out.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Now you know. And Shannon, when I'm talking about his grandma, that was my girl. He know grandma cussed him out if he was alive. Grandma know I know you. I got my right hand up. I got my right hand up. I got my right hand up. But okay.
Starting point is 00:39:47 That's your left hand up. That's your left hand up. But okay. On TV, that's your right hand up. That's why we know you. Because we all know you. Yes. Hey, listen.
Starting point is 00:39:59 I just want an opportunity, man. I'm trying to get with y'all. I give them a platform. Get him on here three, four times a week. I mean, I got the poor teeth. Hey, you coming today? You on today? Is it?
Starting point is 00:40:13 Tell me, has he been on time? I'm always on time. I ain't never late. I ain't never late. That's a lot. Hey, listen. I might not wear watch that work, but I'm going to be on time. I don't know about all that.
Starting point is 00:40:26 Now, but you know what? Historically. I've never been late nowhere. I set my watch five minutes ahead on purpose, so I never go anywhere, never be anywhere late. Do you really want me to call Marvin Lewis right now? Huh? I ain't never showed up late to no meeting. You know you're lying You know I got
Starting point is 00:40:48 CTE I can't even remember How you live at the complex That's what I don't understand Nobody woke me up Nobody woke me up That was early in my career now Do you remember the strength and conditioning coaches Chip and Friday
Starting point is 00:41:04 Cincinnati Bengals I'm talking to you Do you remember the strength and conditioning coaches, Chip and Friday? Cincinnati Bengals. I'm talking to you. Yeah, Ray. Ray Oliver and Chip. Chip Morton. Yeah. And then Friday came in as an assistant. Okay, so you know I know them.
Starting point is 00:41:16 They were with me in Baltimore. Okay. Okay. Yeah, you know we know. Everybody knows each other. It's like a fraternity. Yeah, I mean, we all family. We all family.
Starting point is 00:41:24 But I just don't like when I don't like things being said about me that aren't true. Sometimes, you know. That was true, though, dog. One thing about it, I'm never late. No, that was true, though. You was late. And you lived in the complex. Like, how do you do that?
Starting point is 00:41:36 But you said they didn't wake you up. Yeah, it's like you being in the grocery store and starving. How you starving in a grocery store? How you starving? You work at a grocery store. Yeah, I don't even understand that, dog. How you starving? How you starving a grocery store? How you starving? You work at a grocery store. Starting point is 00:44:48 He said, I want a $200 bet. What? You have a $100 bet. I had no plan like me with a cut of money, dog. I know that's a lie. Kadarius Tony
Starting point is 00:44:55 wasn't going to have another drop and he wasn't going to make a mistake. Oh, no, he didn't. And he did it on the same play. I bet. He had to have a pick. Yeah, I saw that. I saw that. I saw that I saw that
Starting point is 00:45:05 I saw that and you know what matter of fact they cut away it was either to the quarterback or the coach was like
Starting point is 00:45:12 man I'm tired of this like they cut away to one of the and showed their face Patrick Mahomes was cursing he was cursing he's like
Starting point is 00:45:20 I had your back now I'm tired I'm tired I'm tired I'm tired he probably was over there on the sidelines saying back now. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired. He probably was over there on the sidelines saying, I'm tired. I'm tired. Wait, I made a bet?
Starting point is 00:45:30 Yeah. Yeah. Do $100. Run me my money. That's not like you, dog, because you're always defending receivers. And you know what it is. I'm supposed to defend receivers. I used to drop balls, too.
Starting point is 00:45:41 I know what that feel like. I know what it feel like. You what? You drop what? I've never heard you admit that feel like. I know what it feel like. You what? You drop what? I never heard you admit that, though. Yeah, I think I play. I mean, you put foot in front of the balls, okay? Just say foot because you're dropping them.
Starting point is 00:45:53 Come on, come on. Come on. We're growing. Don't do that. Don't do that. My kids do that all the time. Don't do that. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Because he always looking to get me time. Yeah, my bad, my get me time he always my bad my bad my bad listen I know what it feel like right now Kadarius Tony
Starting point is 00:46:09 his confidence is a little shot just a little bit just a little bit what he needs right now is he needs an uplifting not from us not from us media for me
Starting point is 00:46:17 for me he gonna hear he gonna hear from me I'm gonna big up you no matter what because that used to be me I used to drop balls I also
Starting point is 00:46:24 put balls at times. It would come off my hands and it'd be an interception. I know what that feels like. I know how deflating that is as a player. Am I going to pile on him? No. After this, I sent KT a text.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Hey, boy, keep your head up, boy. Get back to work and keep on working. How about keep your hands up? Get back to work and keep on working. And I'm going to text Pat Mahomes, don't show up your receiver on national television. He didn't mean to, but he was in the moment. First of all, Pat had his back last week.
Starting point is 00:46:59 Pat said he don't keep going. He had his back. Pat has his back. How a man line up a foot offside, and did he mad when they throw the flag? I've seen that. They're teammates. I've seen players today get mad when they wrong,
Starting point is 00:47:14 but you check them by they wrong. How you mad at me? Gunner, Gunner, Gunner, come on. You supposed to be sleeping, man. You know it, lady. Wait, you got dogs too? I got a dog. He got a kennel.
Starting point is 00:47:29 What kind of dog you got? I got a... You made me just go blank right then. A Malinois? A German Shepherd? Malinois. Belgian Malinois. It's like the uncle of a German Shepherd. When it comes to the police dogs,
Starting point is 00:47:46 the military dogs. Yeah, yeah. They'll jump over this desk on the other side and just walk off like it wasn't them. They smart, but they a lot of work time. No, they got a lot of energy. They have a lot of energy. And you need to burn that off,
Starting point is 00:47:58 or he'll burn it off by tearing up the house. Yeah, that is true. That is true. But Dolph, hey, I got to go. Chad was like a mile wide. He had a lot of energy. Mm-mm. But Dolph is...
Starting point is 00:48:08 I sure would have wanted you, Dolph. I'd have told you up. I'd have told you up, Chad. You put that thing on the time. Oh, my God. I don't know. You know it's on you. He ain't stopping.
Starting point is 00:48:18 Listen, you might be the greatest. You are the greatest. Ain't no mate. Ain't no mate. Take the mate out. If you want to talk to me, take the mate out. You wouldn't have touched me out You wouldn't have touched me
Starting point is 00:48:26 You wouldn't have touched me At the line Who do you mean who? Who you care? I'm talking to you Don't play First of all Don't play
Starting point is 00:48:33 Don't play Okay You couldn't have run me So I'm not going I don't need to run you I can do one thing That nobody else can Get off that line of scrimmage
Starting point is 00:48:42 Dog I'm going to put so many hands On you I guarantee you You're going to file You're going to go break a police report Don't do me like that Check my resume, don't do me like that
Starting point is 00:48:52 It's one thing you're going to do You're going to touch me off the line? These feet? You're going to touch these feet off the line? Did you forget about these feet? Did you forget about these feet? Yeah, listen. They paid you to cover people.
Starting point is 00:49:08 They paid me for my feet for a long time. They paid me to put butts in seats. Yeah. And you know what's funny? I did that for a decade, too. Yeah. Yeah. Time you go.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Don't grab me. When I play, you can put hands on people. What you mean? When I play, you can put hands on people. What you mean? When I play, you can put hands on people. I'm not blessing. Listen, it's a reason we play. It's a reason we played on Sunday. You the blessed, you put hands on people.
Starting point is 00:49:36 I thought I was bending hands. Listen, you would have came out there playing. You would have got a communion. You, who? You got the right one. See, you got to talk the rest of them. You would have got a... You, who? Huh? You got the right one. You know better. See, you got to talk the rest of them. You know you're kidding.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Huh? I've been trying to tell them, you know what? When I see you, it's on sight. It ain't coming before they eat. I ain't got but they eat. Yeah. You better not say nothing.
Starting point is 00:49:57 You better not say nothing because I know you ready to jump in there. I know you ready to jump in there. Hey, hey, Chad. He going to come to my house, my building, and talk about me like a dog. Hey, hey, hey, Ty. He's talking to me like a dog, man. Ty, buddy.
Starting point is 00:50:13 Hey, Ocho, let me tell you how you beat him. Release this side. He only got two toes on that right foot. You know what I'm saying? See what I'm saying? See what I'm saying? No, that's bad, man. You supposed to be praying for me and you coming at me.
Starting point is 00:50:27 That ain't right, man. That's my dog. That ain't right. Hey, hey. Listen, we going to pray for him. We going to pray for him. But I know one thing. I don't care where I see you.
Starting point is 00:50:38 It don't matter. It could be at the game. It could be at church. It's on site. It's on site. We could be at somebody's funeral. We could be in the street. We could be in the parking lot. It's on site every time.
Starting point is 00:50:47 And you don't want to care. You know what I'm proud of you? Because you spend a lot of time with your wife and all that. Don't let me catch you with your wife. What happened? She ain't going to look at you the same. Shit me. If you think I'm going to lose in front of her,
Starting point is 00:50:58 what you got to do? She ain't going to look at you the same when I get done. If you think I'm going to lose in front of her, you got another thought coming. Don't let me catch you with your wife. It's on site. Time. Time. Time. He losing in front of her, you got another thought coming. Don't let me catch you with your wife is on site. Time, time. Time, he losing in front of her and 85 and other people too. And you know you're losing in front of your wife.
Starting point is 00:51:12 She ain't going to look at you the same no more. Hey, hey, hey, bro, that's a bad thing when you're losing in front of your wife. You can't lose in front of your wife. And listen, we just playing. Imagine you get in the fight and your baby, she got to help you get up and you get knocked out. You get home. She got to tell you baby it was okay. You can't even raise your voice.
Starting point is 00:51:27 You can't even raise your voice no more. The people in the chat said Reba's locked you up and Reba's admitted time was the goal. So what if the guy... Listen, listen. Let's stay with this. Let's stay in context. Read that again, Shannon, so he can read it.
Starting point is 00:51:44 The chat said Rebabus locked you up. Rebus said, time was the goal. What do you think time would do? Y'all don't understand, huh? And Rebus also said, ask Rebus, who did Rebus say the greatest rock runner of all time was? I don't know how he would know, because you couldn't get off the line.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Oh, man, I was off the line. What are you talking about? What? Passes were just incomplete. Y'all have to understand context. Y'all just get enamored with all the stat lines. And then we talk about...
Starting point is 00:52:12 Hey, listen. You know I'm a coach, right? I know about all the stuff you're talking about. You know I'm a coach. Before you go any further, I need you to run my money on Zach Wilson, too. Another 200.
Starting point is 00:52:28 What happened? He didn't get 300 passing yards today. What did he do for today? Probably 25. What did he do for today? 25. For real? 26, my bad.
Starting point is 00:52:38 26 yards. No, for real. What did he do for today? 26 yards. Nobody threw for no 26 yards, no football game. What did he do for? How many yards did he throw for?? What'd he throw for? 26 yards. Nobody threw for no 26 yards, no football game. What'd he throw for? How many yards did he throw for? He threw for 26 yards.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Now, run me my money. Okay. I should have got my money. How good would it be possible? He must have gotten hurt. You can't. They knocked him out of the game. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Say that. Oh, wait a minute. Well, bet off if he got knocked out of the game. Ain't no bet off now. Ain't no bet off. Ain't no bet on that one. See, that's what I'm trying to say. Whoa, whoa. If he didn't finish the game, I'm a... I don't want to fight. I't no bet off now. Ain't no bet off. Ain't no bet on that one. See, that's what I'm trying to say. Whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:53:05 If he didn't finish the game, I'm a... I don't want to fight. I don't want to fight. I'm a... Hey, Ty. Hey, man, I got you. No, you don't.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Put that money down. Money out of sight will cause a fight. Nope. You know how you rolling dice and everybody tell me, oh, I got that? No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:53:20 I ain't never rolling no dice. I don't do no dice. You ain't rolling no dice. I know you pitch to a line. I know you pitch to the line. You pitch. We pitch quarters. I make that thing lean on you. I make it lean on you.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I make it lean on the wall. Hey, we call it get like me. Yeah. That's what y'all call it? Yeah, we call it get like me. No, we just call it pitching. To the line, we pitching a cup, all that. No, we pitching a line. We ain't never pitching no cup now. Ain't pitching no cup. Anything that we can get some money off of. They did that at the fair.
Starting point is 00:53:51 See, I know you from a small town. You know about the fair. Yeah, I love the fair now. Matter of fact, they tried to put me on six flags one time. I got anointing to win the game. Like, the one you throw the hula hoop over the bell. Yeah, right. Man, let's throw that hula hoop over the bell. Yeah, right. Man, I throw that hula hoop like, boy, look at him.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I'm taking stuff down left and right. Then you got the little one you throw the little ring around the little bottle top. Yeah. And I threw that thing right at things. Just stopped on them. And then you got a little basket that you throw the little softball halfway. I spin that joker back, but that joker just sit up in there. Man, he got to go.
Starting point is 00:54:26 He got to go. He got to go. He got to go. The Jets lose 30-0 to the Dolphins. The Jets now go 13-3. Yeah, they got a little friction. A little friction on that team. They upset.
Starting point is 00:54:41 They upset with the quarterback play. They upset. The receivers are upset. Oh, we going to blame it on the quarterback? No, the Jets. The Jets. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Okay. Okay. I thought you were going to blame it on the quarterback. Yeah, they got a great receiver. They upset. Gary, Gary. They can't move the ball. Gary Wilson, the real deal.
Starting point is 00:54:58 That's what I'm talking about. Well, it's hard to move the ball when the quarterback on his ass back there. You can't even make a three-step drop. Let me ask you a question. Yeah, he got to be able even make a three-step drop. Let me ask you a question. Yeah, he got to be able to see the game, too. But let me ask you a question. Last year, Gary Wilson won offensive rookie of the year. So what's the difference now?
Starting point is 00:55:14 Zach Wilson had to play more this year than last year. That's the only difference. So you tell me what it is. Remember Mike White? Mike White got the job, beat him out. The guy that's the backup in Miami now? Yeah. Okay. You know the guy that they was wearing t-shirts?
Starting point is 00:55:32 Mike White. We support Mike White. When Zach Wilson was the quarterback, imagine that, Ocho. You the wide receiver. You the wide receiver, but they wearing T.J. Hujamanzada number. The offensive line and the defense wearing T.J. Hujamanzada.. The offensive line and the defense wearing T.J. Hujamanzada. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Now, run me my money. 400. How much? What? 400? You said 200. Why you got to eat like that? Why you eat like that, man?
Starting point is 00:55:54 Well, I got to see the whole donut in your mouth when you eat. Hey, time. And it live with that ashen before the glaze hit it. Am I living in ashen? No, you're living to ashen, dog. I know you're Krispy Kreme, but I don't want to see the whole donut when you eat that.
Starting point is 00:56:10 I got it. I got it. That's a pet peeve. Like, smacking is a pet peeve especially for a woman. You might as well go. If you smacking in the... Hold on.
Starting point is 00:56:17 So, okay, y'all out to dinner. She's on time. You know, I'm talking about she's like 5'7", 5'8". You know, nice complexion, hair down to her shoulder, her hair. She didn't buy it. It didn't come from India or out of Horsestail. And you know,
Starting point is 00:56:32 she's like, whoo, whoo, whoo. Y'all need to stop now. First of all, stop talking like that, because you know I'm in the portal. But go ahead. Let's keep going. But go ahead. We all will get there later. But go ahead, Shannon. He's in the portal. Portal. But go ahead. Go ahead go ahead, Shannon. Hey. He in the portal. Portal.
Starting point is 00:56:46 But go ahead. Go ahead. You don't have to put me in the portal. But go ahead, Shannon. That's bad sick. That's bad. He in the portal. He put me in the portal.
Starting point is 00:56:58 I ain't just getting there. But go ahead. Go ahead. And you know, she's talking. Y'all having a conversation at the table. And she smack a little bit. You might see a little fool in the mouth. But. Baby, look at him. Look, baby. Excuse me. Excuse me. Look you know, she's talking. Y'all having a conversation at the table. And she smack a little bit. You might see a little fool in the mouth. But.
Starting point is 00:57:07 Baby, look at him. Look, baby. Excuse me. Excuse me. Look at him, baby. We can't do that. We can't do that. That's a pet peeve of mine.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Of yours? Certain things, I can't do it. See? I can't do it. Certain things, I can't do it. Y'all kill me, Ocho. Now, see? He say that's his pet peeve.
Starting point is 00:57:22 That's one of my pet peeves. I got a plethora of pet peeves. That's one of mine. Hey, Ty, what about your question? Can a woman pass gas in front of you? Mm-mm. Thank you. That's my dog.
Starting point is 00:57:32 You can't do that. You better hold it. I don't care. Your stomach busts. You better hold that thing. Hold that thing and walk off with it. Something wrong with y'all, man. You can't fart around me.
Starting point is 00:57:42 See, you know what? Listen, that's how, you know what? If the woman you claim you love can't pass gas, which is natural, and she got to go to a whole other room just to do it, that ain't love. So she having a competition with you fought? No. Y'all having a fight? No, but sometimes you got to let it go.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Y'all having a fight? So first of all, how do we get to the point where that happened and that's cool and we ain't going to talk about it? Like, how do I get to the point where, first of all, you had to do it so much it just made her comfortable to do it? Let's just get that straight. No, how about, you know what, we so comfortable with each other that we don't have to go hiding about something so natural. And you so nasty that she felt like that i'm like we're gonna get mad that's that's right just like that that's don't say that that's love just say that hey you know yeah it is a little bit of class a little bit of class. A little bit of class. I graduated.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Class? I graduated. I didn't grow up with the royal family. I'm from Liberty City. No. Where you from? I've been there. Class is out.
Starting point is 00:58:54 No. I'm a full man. Baby. All right? Baby. No, we're not doing that. We're not doing that. There's something.
Starting point is 00:59:00 We ain't doing that. There should be some secrecy. There's got to be some rules to the game. No. We don't need no secrecy. That's it. Rules. There should be some secrecy. There gotta be some rules to the game. That's rules. That's rules to the game. Rules is what's got us in the position we in right now as a people. That's the goddamn problem. Let me give you one.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Let me give you one and I need a real answer. And you can't lie. Give it to me. Have you ever heard your mama fart? Yep. I knew you was gonna say that.? Yep. Paula Antoinette Johnson. I knew you was going to say that. I'd have heard Paula Antoinette Johnson
Starting point is 00:59:30 pass ass. Yes, sir. I ain't never heard my mama fart. Never. Never? Never. Mom or grandma or sister. Never.
Starting point is 00:59:38 I ain't never heard my grandma fart. You come from Nancy. None of them. None. And I love your mama. I love grandma. You don't love grandma. But you come from Nancy. Do I understand? Yeah. You come from Nancy. That's them. None. And I love your mama. I love grandma. You don't love grandma. But you come from Nancy.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Do you understand? Yeah. You come from Nancy. That's what I was on the field, too. Nancy. That's how I know you got this work. We ain't going to the field. We ain't going to the field.
Starting point is 00:59:54 Anytime. I'm talking about not one woman. I'm talking about cousins. Not one. I'm talking about daughters. I'm talking about aunts. None. Never gone to the bathroom.
Starting point is 01:00:03 Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. Fellas. bathroom around. Fellas, fellas, fellas, fellas. My youngest daughter, she'll go to my office, break one off. I ain't gonna lie to you about that. Fellas, listen, I gotta get y'all, I gotta put y'all boys in therapy, man, because y'all can't live like this. Y'all can't have... Wait, wait, wait, stay with me,
Starting point is 01:00:18 baby. Y'all can't have women scared to be themselves around you when it comes to things that are natural. I don't like that. I don't like that. I don't like that. It feels like imprisonment and I want better for y'all. No. I'm going to get on y'all about this later on. There are certain things that
Starting point is 01:00:33 women say, you know what, I won't tolerate that from a man. If you can't go into another business, if you can't go into, if I'm asking you, baby, just don't pass gas around me. If that's too much, we don't need to be together. We really don't.
Starting point is 01:00:51 First of all, we don't even need to have this conversation. Okay. It should be understood. We can have this conversation. I'm talking about not us. I'm just saying. In general. Oh, in general.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Okay, okay, okay. You don't even have to have this conversation with your woman. You don't have it. You don't have it. You don't have it. I'm just saying in general, there's something that is just natural. So how did it happen?
Starting point is 01:01:09 So how did it happen? I think me and Uncle was talking about it one time. I see, because you know he nasty. I see him fart so much that he went ahead and blessed it.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Baby, you know what? You going to fart too now. You don't have to hold your... Not around me. For what? And then say, you know, she's not far too now. You don't have to hold your... Not around me. And they say, you know, she's not one slip. Prime.
Starting point is 01:01:27 This is... Now it's a contest. The woman got to use the bathroom. She got to go way into the other room. She got to go downstairs and all that's like... It was just...
Starting point is 01:01:35 I think we talked about this a few shows ago. Yeah. And it was too extreme and what a woman had to do... It ain't no extreme. I told her she got to go to CBS or go to Target to use the bathroom.
Starting point is 01:01:46 We got six bathrooms in the house. You got to go way across the... She got to go to the East Wing while he on the West Wing gets to use the bathroom. You know Shannon don't play that. When you use the bathroom over Shannon Cribb, you better fold that toilet paper up and bend it like they do in the hotel.
Starting point is 01:02:03 You better fold that. That's how he get down. Y'all know that. Y'all know that. You nasty, Ocho. You nasty. You know what I don't like? You know what I don't like?
Starting point is 01:02:12 See, I remain my true authentic self privately and publicly. You are authentic. Authentic nasty. Listen, y'all nasty too, but this ain't the place for y'all because y'all can't do that. Me, this is me all day, 24-7. This is me. But this is us. You can't accept us for being us.
Starting point is 01:02:31 We accept for you to be you. Listen, we all come from the same cloth. Y'all ain't up in here pulling wool over my ass. Y'all ain't but we didn't come from the same... Farming in front of your man ain't normal. We... What? That's this new age thing, Ocho. Ocho, that can't, that can't.
Starting point is 01:02:46 We in the same age bracket now. What you talking about? Come on, man. In front of your man ain't normal. All right. Hey, Shannon, do a poll. Can you do a poll? Yes.
Starting point is 01:02:55 They don't know. No, they don't know. What you mean they don't know? They don't know. We going to the fan questions. Lady Ray asked, Shannon, Ocho's biggest pet peeves about women besides passing gas and not eating McDonald's. Coach Prime, what is another pet peeve of yours?
Starting point is 01:03:12 You say a woman smacking with a mouth open. Your woman smacking. What about dress? What about dress? Do you have a problem? No, like your nails can't be beat up. Like your nails. You want a manicure. Yeah, that can't
Starting point is 01:03:30 be tore up, dog. That's my only pet peeve right there. You just hit right on it. Your nails can't be tore up. I am a nail connoisseur and I'm fascinated with manicures and pedicures and your feet and nails always being done. Yeah, we know you like feet.
Starting point is 01:03:46 Yeah, I don't care nothing about it. He suck toes like popsicles, but that's a whole other thing. Oh, so, you know what? I'm not even going to ask you that because you in a different... No, but... No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:03:57 But no, I know you like that kind of stuff. I mean, that, you know, Shannon was talking about I can ask you one earlier. Can I ask you a question? Can I ask you a question? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Where you from? Where you from? Fort Myers. You're from Fort Myers. Where that's at Can I ask you a question? Yeah. Where you from? Where you from? Fort Myers. You're from Fort Myers. Where that's at? What Fort Myers is at? Florida. Okay, you from the crib.
Starting point is 01:04:11 Now, we're exactly the same. Okay, next topic. No, we ain't. No, just because we come from the same place doesn't mean we the same. Hey, listen. Boy, listen. Florida, big state.
Starting point is 01:04:19 That's enough. Prime. Don't do that. I was with you. Me and you, I was with you at Free League in 1992. Me and you were at Free League in 1992. That's a lie. But anyway. That's a lie. But anyway.
Starting point is 01:04:32 That wasn't you? That wasn't you. Oh, Troy, now we had this discussion about a woman and her dress. Is there something that she could put on? You can say, nah, you ain't leaving the house in this, babe. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:04:47 When she's trying too hard. You can't try too hard. Just let it be. Just let it be natural. Don't try too hard. You walk out in your outfit saying, I want some attention. We got a problem. You don't have to. You're too beautiful for that. You better than that.
Starting point is 01:05:04 How to split could come up. We got a problem. You don't have to. You too beautiful for that. You better than that. Well, how are you going to get that? How the split could come up? So if we think, if she... I don't want to see Jesus. There we go. On her. I want to see Jesus on her. Prime.
Starting point is 01:05:15 I want to see Jesus on her. Listen, I told Uncle last night, it's all about understanding and knowing who and what you're dealing with. Now, if it's somebody that you're just having fun with listen mama you can wear whatever you want but if you're dealing with a woman you're trying to build an empire with you can't build an empire with nobody wow that's looking for attention from the village when you put your fingers up there your head look bad too by the way but anyway that's a whole
Starting point is 01:05:41 another thing that's what happens when you got great hand. But your hands didn't look good when you just said your hands. I look fat. I look heavy as fingers are. Yeah, but when he said, he just talked about the pettied man and your hands. No, the other side. Yeah, yeah. They don't look like they was straight. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 01:05:53 You need to get your hands. What you talking about? That's why your hands should look on the inside. It's Christmas time. What do you mean? What you mean? What you mean? But you ain't got no.
Starting point is 01:06:02 It don't look like you have a mannequin. It's Christmas time. What do you mean? What you been making? I'm working. What you making? It's Christmas time. What you been making? I'm working. I'm working. I'm in the trenches. How you think these kids going to get these gifts? I don't do gifts no more.
Starting point is 01:06:17 You're going to come out cheaper getting money. You're going to come out cheaper. You're going to save time getting money though. Don't do that. I did that already They gonna like this They gonna like this
Starting point is 01:06:28 I'm gonna get Well they They sent me a list And I'm getting The stuff they put on the list I'm getting it for them Got it Got it
Starting point is 01:06:35 Got it You know what 6,000 people have voted They said 53% Say farting in front of your man Is okay I need to see the age demographic. No, don't try to change it.
Starting point is 01:06:48 Don't try to change it. This is something natural. Listen, wait. That's not natural. Ocho. Wait, wait. Let me finish. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Let me finish. Go ahead. Go ahead. Prime. Unc. Passing gas. Fraudulating. It's normal.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Telling your spouse they have to go to a completely different room. Don't be fraudulating. Okay, my bad. Going to a completely different room just to do what is natural and you got to have your stomach hurt because they holding it, that's not right.
Starting point is 01:07:16 That is imprisonment. Okay. Chewing your food is natural. But time says someone smacking is not acceptable. I understand that. That's like nails on a chalkboard. Chewing food is natural but time says someone smacking is not I understand that chewing food is natural yes but you can do it with your mouth closed
Starting point is 01:07:32 okay you can go to the bathroom and fart not in front of me but you know to each his own to each his own you not going to make it far in a relationship with us you cool with a farter. We cool.
Starting point is 01:07:46 You cool. That's it. Well, listen, the funny thing about it, they're going to do it anyway. They're going to do it anyway. We want to raise, like, I'm sorry, you just said mama farted. You just said mama farted. And I hate for you to put your mama out there like that. I can smell it.
Starting point is 01:08:01 I can smell it. I can smell it. I remember. Mama, rest in peace. I can smell it. But she was staying. It came from it. I can smell it. I remember. Mama, rest in peace. I can smell it. But she was staying. It came from somewhere and it wasn't me.
Starting point is 01:08:08 So I'm sure she did it. I haven't experienced that. I've never experienced that. Because that's not going to go well. It happened one time. I'm going to tell the story another day in time how that happened.
Starting point is 01:08:24 A girl farted? She farted on you? I mean, knowing you, was it during... Knowing you, it was during something. Yeah. How did I do that? Yeah, it happened. How did I do that?
Starting point is 01:08:41 I don't know. Check this out. Since you done got it, this is what happened. We were having sex. And this is an absolute true story. I put this on everything. It's a family show. I was having sex with this young lady.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Yes, sir. Hold on, hold on. Take the whole picture. Don't cheat me. Yeah, don't cheat me either. We're having sex. Details, details. We're having sex.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Physician. Physician? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Details. We're having sex. Physician. Physician? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I'm the back shop king. Oh, Lord. Oh, Lord Jesus.
Starting point is 01:09:11 She ain't do it, but she don't know what she did. That's true, bro. That is what she did. And what I'm about to say is 1,000% true. Talk to me, baby. So she passed gas. She said, excuse me. Do it? Do it. Yes. She passed gas. She said, she said, excuse me. Do it.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Do it. Yes. She passed gas. Do it. We have a sex. Okay. Then she looked back and said,
Starting point is 01:09:30 excuse me. Yeah. She didn't look back. Ty, Ty, she said, excuse me. I said,
Starting point is 01:09:40 that's all right, baby. I generally make them shit. Yeah, you're right. I'm going to take my hand off too. Hey, she said, excuse me. I said,
Starting point is 01:09:44 that's all right, baby. I generally make them shit. Yeah, you're right. I'm going to take mine home, too. How she do it? She said, excuse me. I said, that's all right, baby. I generally make them shit. It kept going. I'm with it. I'm hell with it, Ty. I'm hell with it, Ty. I can't. Hey.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Come on, baby. Those are y'all nasty, man. They talk. Those are y'all nasty, dog. I swear. I swear. I kept it going. I know you ain't know it, but that's just bad. Fist bump. Fist bump.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Y'all ain't no good. That ain't chatting. Don't do that. You want what you want me to say? I like that. For her to look back and say, excuse me, she just should have rolled with it. Hey, I got to write that down.
Starting point is 01:10:24 I got to write that down. Don't even write that down that's nasty though yes sir chad we had a question uh i think the four pillars uh religion money parenting and in-laws someone tweeted earlier says i'm not marrying into a family that doesn't like me if i go to a man's family function and his mom, his aunties, his sisters, cousins are being weird to me, I'll leave him alone because I don't care how long we've been together. You better leave him alone because that man ain't got no money. Because if any man ain't got no money,
Starting point is 01:10:54 mama going to show up. Mama going to show up. Yeah, it's going to be hard. I have not met one that mama ain't cracked that thing up. Yeah. Cause on the mama, mama doesn't think anybody is good enough for her kids.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Good enough. Then they think mama thinking you skipped the line. Cause mama been there waiting for 20 some years to get hers. Then here you come. And you get hers. Mama don't like that. That's tough. That's tough. That's tough.
Starting point is 01:11:26 You know what? When I mentor, even my kids that play for me, as well as pros, I always tell them, hey man, after that game, make sure you teach your woman to fall back
Starting point is 01:11:38 and let you go to mama first. Yeah. Because if you go to her first, oh, the rest of that evening is going to be bad. Oh, he ain't going to be, oh no, it's going to be home. So Because if you go to her first, oh, the rest of that evening is going to be bad. Mm-hmm. Oh, he ain't going to be, oh, no, it's going to be home.
Starting point is 01:11:48 So make sure he go to hug Mama first. Even if he try to hug you, you better whisper in his ear, you better go hug your Mama, boy. Right. Mm-hmm. Because it's on.
Starting point is 01:11:56 And y'all know that. Yeah, for sure. Oh, Mama. Most definitely. It was always Mom getting first. Actually, it's going Mom, sister. Mm-hmm. And then mom, sister. But everybody, you understand position.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Yeah, but they don't. Sometimes they don't. Right. You're right. It ain't no sometimes. All the time, they don't. But what happens when you become married? Because, you know, when you played, you were married. And you know mom. But the Bible says leave and please, I ain't get to that part.
Starting point is 01:12:28 That's what the baby said, but I ain't get that far yet. Because you do that if you want to. It's on. It's not going to be a good evening at the crib. I'm trying to tell you. Y'all know that. Y'all know it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Yeah. Listen, you already know how my mama is. So you already know how that go. Oh, mama going to crank that thing up. Hey. Listen, you already know how my mama is. So you already know how that go. Oh, mama will crank that thing up. Hey. This guy, I can talk about what Shannon, well, tonight guys, say, Shay, you should use a Lady Bassinate
Starting point is 01:12:54 water hose, I know what that is, and dry wipe in the bathroom. Let me tell you what I did. You know, I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And you know, I don't like putting the seat up and put it down. So I, you know, I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And you know I don't like putting the seat up and putting it down. So I go to the bathroom and leave the seat up. She said, Shannon, every time I go to the bathroom, the seat is up.
Starting point is 01:13:15 And I said, you know what? To keep you happy, you know what I did? You know what I did, guys? Brad and Ocho, you know what I did? I wouldn't put a urinal in the bathroom you got to Like you go to a concert or I don't own a home without a room. Okay, not what I did So just just just to keep confusion down brother. I'm not gonna be aiming in the middle of the night
Starting point is 01:13:42 No, and I'm not gonna get ready to do the split just to hit the water. I'm not doing that. Yeah, because I ain't opened my eyes yet in the bathroom. I ain't finished doing the split to hit the water. So I got to hear it. That's a different kind of money. I ain't never seen a urinal inside a home. I've never heard of that.
Starting point is 01:13:58 You must have come in my room when you visited me. No. No, y'all got money, man. How much a funeral cost? Not much. Not much. Not enough to keep the music down
Starting point is 01:14:10 and having a conversation talking about letting down. It's like a heated toilet seat. Like, I like a heated toilet seat. I like... Whoa, they got heated toilet seats? Yeah, yeah. That's some new shit, huh?
Starting point is 01:14:21 Mm-mm. It's old. Like, everybody been... If they wouldn't have been far to walk around your house, you probably would know this kind of stuff now. I'm just saying. I live in Miami. It's 90 degrees. It's 90 degrees year-round.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Yeah, but still. Don't ask enough questions when you're sitting there for a minute. After all them farts that y'all have released. Nah, it's not. Y'all being a little excessive with it. It's not like that. You gotta go. I love the word selection. I love the word selection. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:14:48 I've been reading the dictionary because I'm on TV now. Out of the 95 Cowboys, 98 Broncos, I don't know why in the hell they threw the 05 Bengals in this conversation, Prime. We running through all y'all. We running through y'all. We running through y'all.
Starting point is 01:15:04 Hey, listen. The old five bangles? Where you was at? Where you was at? I was in the house. I'm saying. 95, he was the cowboy.
Starting point is 01:15:18 With the cowboys? Yeah. Man, I would have turned that 21 to 12. Man, don't play at me. Don't make me come through there. Hey, I was in my prime. Prime. I would have turned that 21 to 12, man. Don't make me turn the Zoom wheel.
Starting point is 01:15:32 We'll let the Bengals put their top 22 players all time, and we'll still beat them. So you put your best 22 players. Go ahead and get to the question. He going to divert you, man. He know he ain't never had no good team. He never played no good team. Never played no good team.
Starting point is 01:15:48 Don't play my 05. My 05 Bengals, boy. We the real deal now. Since all you guys have track backgrounds, who are some of the favorite Olympic track stars, past and present, male or female? That's a good one. That's a real good one.
Starting point is 01:16:10 I met Flojo one time, did you damn for real man i met flojo one time and uh you know i fanned out i fanned out and i was him at the time when i met i fanned out so she she she she was off the chain yeah she was off the chain y', she was off the chain. Y'all say, first of all, let's get this straight. In our era, Shannon, you know Carl Lewis was him, man. Yeah. I met Carl. Yes, absolutely. Yeah. I met Michael Johnson, too. Michael Johnson was him. Yeah, yeah. Michael was kind of after our moment. Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:38 But Michael was a bad boy. But Carl Lewis, man, please, man. Because you remember that we got upset when Ben Johnson got out that hole that time? Yeah, he jumped out on Carl. And they didn't get forward. Yeah. Uh-uh, uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Something wrong. Something going on now. Then they drove to the bin right after the race. Like, come on. Come on in here. Yeah, he was peeing fire. That's a great question. I would have to go with Sha'Carri.
Starting point is 01:17:04 You met Sha'Carri? Right. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I met everybody, though. Yeah, yeah. You know, my daughter run track, so they ran an Anson complex here. Everybody was in the town. And my daughter that run track, we went up there, and I was able to meet her for the first time. Your daughter got it, too, though. Yeah. You know she at University of Kentucky?
Starting point is 01:17:23 I didn't know that. Yeah, she at UK She at UK They got a track program They do If she want to transfer To Boulder I think I can hook up too
Starting point is 01:17:30 I'm just saying You know Colorado Wait I asked you for a job You told me no But my daughter No I don't want you
Starting point is 01:17:38 I want the daughter Cause you ain't gonna do right You don't do right Y'all Y'all rock around far now I know that So hey Far dog team Sherelle Sherelle just donated $200 Now Y'all, especially y'all rock around far now. I know that.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Shirell just donated $200. Now, I'll get primed. Thank you, baby. I love y'all, but y'all better leave my baby alone. Thank you. Yeah, you better get him, baby. You know, yeah. Yeah, you see. Why do women always like the crazy one? Yeah, that's what I want to know.
Starting point is 01:18:03 You know, they always like the crazy one. They do. That what I want to know. You know, they always like the crazy one. They do. That's all. Honestly, honestly, honestly, honestly, I'm not going to lie to you, Chad. If this was new edition, you would be Bobby. What? You would be Bobby. That ain't no true.
Starting point is 01:18:17 Bobby, please. Bobby was it. Yeah. Yeah, I was it. But I'm just saying the other side of Bobby is the complete. If this was new edition, you would be Bobby. Nah, man. I don't do nothing like Bobby, though. I don't. Yeah, you do. the other side of Bobby is to complete. But if this is your audition, you would be Bobby. Nah, man. I don't do nothing like
Starting point is 01:18:25 Bobby, though. I don't... You do everything like Bobby. You do. You do. Like what? You just don't get in trouble at all, but you do all things like Bobby. Everything. You do everything. You got Bobby-like tendencies. You got Bobby-like tendencies. All I do is smoke cigars.
Starting point is 01:18:43 You would leave the group and go start your own thing. You would do that. Okay, I like that. I like where smoke cigars. You would leave the group and go start your own thing. You would do that. Okay, I like that. I like where you going. I like where you going. I like where you going now. I would jam with the other Bobby.
Starting point is 01:18:51 Don't be cruel. Yeah. Yeah, you do a dude, don't be cruel. Like, all them songs are your songs. Okay, that's me. Jam right now. Go ahead. Shannon would be...
Starting point is 01:19:00 Shannon would be... Johnny Gill. No, you never be no Johnny. You too big for Johnny Gill. No, you definitely don't. You too big for Johnny Gill. I don't know about right now. You want to see Bobby right now. Man, Bobby do
Starting point is 01:19:13 one note. Bobby like over there. They over there. Shannon would be Mike. Shannon would be Mike Bivens. Mike Bivens? Yeah, Mike was the guy behind everything. Mike made everything happen. So he like Quiet Boy from the Five Hard Beats then? No No
Starting point is 01:19:30 He like Duck from the Five Hard Beats Okay, okay, okay That's my favorite movie, you know that right Five Hard Beats, the real deal I watch it a hundred times We already know champ Eddie Cain Yeah, you Eddie Cain though Come Kane. Yeah, you Eddie Kane, though. Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:19:46 No, you Eddie Kane, though. I feel you. Night like this. Throw it on. I win. Hey, Chad, come back in his old Cincinnati Beagle uniform. I ain't. Hey, baby.
Starting point is 01:20:00 Man, get him, boy. They jumping on me, baby. Jazz Wright asked a great question. He said, why do players find it so hard to take your criticism and genuine feedback to see them get better? I guess it's easier to attack the messenger instead of digest the message. Because players, sometimes they wrong with the criticism. Sometimes the criticism is not warranted.
Starting point is 01:20:23 Sometimes you criticize based off your insecurities. Don't do that. Don't do that. Yeah, criticize but not based off what you're saying you would have done because you don't have the ability to do what that would have done. So that's my problem with the criticism.
Starting point is 01:20:40 I look at it like this. Before this social media blew up time, what we would ask of people that was critiquing us okay did you play all these players now like they wanted someone that actually played the game that had an intimate knowledge of
Starting point is 01:20:56 the game to know what it's like to be in the locker room to know what it's like to be in the huddle to know what it's like in the field and feel that okay so now and then when they got that they said well field and feel that okay so now and then when they got that they said well you didn't win anything so now when i critique a player not only did i win at the highest level i won multiple times not only did i win multiple times i got the ultimate validation by being selected and can't so now what oh you jealous you mad because you
Starting point is 01:21:22 didn't make as much money i made a damn lot of money for tight ends when i played times change inflation okay guys are making money i get nothing you asked me to give you my honest assessment when i give it to you you don't like it because i critique your favorite player so i don't understand how i win i think i think it's a different era we're in a different era. I think it's a different era. We're in a different era. And I think it's more so delivery. I think delivery is very, very important in the way we are critical and we analyze players.
Starting point is 01:21:57 It will be seen, regardless of how you try to do it, it will be seen as hate. Because there's really no way to criticize a player without him feeling a certain way about it. And again, I talk with you all, we talk about this all the time. We do. And they get on me a lot about not being able to be critical of players when they don't play the way they should. And I always go back from a point of view of knowing what it's like to be them.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Now, opposed to being on the other side with the media now, it's very difficult for me to say he did A, B, and C, but I'd rather say, I'd rather he did A, B, and C, but I'd rather talk about D, E, and F on what he can do to make sure it doesn't happen again. I don't even want to focus on the negative. I don't want to be the problem. I want to tell you what the solution is so you don't play like that again.
Starting point is 01:22:37 But that's not what happened. You got to critique on what you saw, not what you think you're going to get down the road. He ain't going to do that. He's not going to do that. He ain't going to critique nobody. He ain't you know, he ain't like that. Chad, Chad,
Starting point is 01:22:56 Chad, not want to be because he is. Chad is a good dude and he want to be loved. He just want to be held. I want to be what? Held. He just want to be held. I want to be what? Held. He just want to be held. I mean, he just want to be loved. I like criticism.
Starting point is 01:23:12 You know what's funny? Think about when I played. I love, I like to hate. I want you to hate. I want you to talk trash. I want you to say bad things about me. Like, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the media saying bad stuff. Like it's like
Starting point is 01:23:25 it lights somewhat of a fire, you know? And that's why to me, I don't understand why players care what the media says. That should motivate you. You know, I use that. You can't expect people to be who you are. That's what I had to learn as a coach
Starting point is 01:23:41 years ago. You can't expect people to be you. You can't expect people to feel like you, to think like you, to interpret things like you, to even fathom things like you. They ain't built like that. God only made one of you, man. They ain't built like that. We at the highest level. This is the NFL, though. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:23:57 So you making excuses for them. You see what you just did? No, wait a minute. You didn't let me finish. Let me get where I'm going. To even get to the pinnacle of your childhood dream, you've had to be through some shit. You've had to go through some stuff. So anything being said in and or about you
Starting point is 01:24:13 shouldn't even bother you at this point once you've made it. We've just been talking about New Edition. I said you was Bobby Brown and I said he probably was... Right, right. You know there's a rap trans man too now. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:24:24 That was a rap hit. I need a man with sensitivity a lot of these kids are sensitive they can't handle that they're men with sensitivity you quick with it but the way the way the human
Starting point is 01:24:40 brain is wired coach you know this somebody can say a thousand good things about a person but it's the one negative thing that they're going to hear it's just like if ocho if you go outside and you sign a thousand autographs if you don't sign a thousand and one you a jerk so tell me why are we driven to the one comment out of 10 that's positive? Now, the one is negative, but the other nine are positive. Yes.
Starting point is 01:25:11 Why are you attracted? See, I'm not attracted to that. I can care less, really, genuinely. I can care less. Why are we as a people mostly attracted to that one negative comment? Why are we drawn to that? to that one negative comment. Why are we drawn to that?
Starting point is 01:25:28 Why does the negative media, negative headlines, negative stories, why does it sell more than positive? Why does it create more attention? Why does it create more eyes than those of positive stories? Well, people like to see wrong instead of right.
Starting point is 01:25:38 Now, if I go outside and say, a blessing, a blessing, a blessing, ain't nobody running out there. But if I go out there and say, a fight, a fight, a fight. He's going to clear the room. They're going to clear the room. They're running out there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:51 That's just how we built. That's just the way, that's how we built. DJ Can Do More asks, why don't black men consider Serena one of the top five black athletes of all time? She is. Nobody said that. Who said she wasn't? Who said she wasn't?
Starting point is 01:26:08 Who say black men? Where your poll come from? I don't know where that statistic came from. She is. I don't know who put that in. Whoever that is, God bless you. I don't know where you get that from. Let me tell you something about Serena too. This is a good one.
Starting point is 01:26:23 This is a good one. I was working with the NFL Network and all of us was on the elevator. I'm not going to mention all the names of the people that I worked with that was on the elevator. And we were on the elevator, and Serena, the elevator opens up, and Serena walks on the elevator. And she walks on there, and of course, she acknowledged anyone because she's a kind person, and then she turned around, and they pushed the button, and we went where we went.
Starting point is 01:26:49 But one gentleman on the elevator looked down and said, oh, my God. She was like that. Oh, shoot. Oh, shoot. Oh, that thing was right. Oh, I'm talking about
Starting point is 01:27:01 one of the people on the elevator looked down and said, oh, my. You read that little thing. Oh, my God. I'm not about one of the people on Alabama Looked down and said oh my You read that and said oh my god They had never seen it I'm not going to say who she was with But you remember she came to the Pro Bowl I wasn't there then
Starting point is 01:27:14 Oh I know who it was She came to the Pro Bowl And this had to be So she probably was like 21, 22 Wait USC, New York, New York Jet she probably was like 21, 22. Wait. USC? New York? New York Jet? No. Oh, I'm off. I remember that. I remember
Starting point is 01:27:31 hearing about that. Yeah. I'm wrong? Nah. Look, she's married and he's married, but she was a very curvy, nicely built young lady.
Starting point is 01:27:47 Don't you just say she was sitting on something. Quit playing, dog. Let's just say that, man. Oh, she was stacked like dirty laundry. She was stacked like dirty laundry in the dorm room. Thank you. I know you had a saying. I know you had a saying. Lord have mercy. Yeah, that's what they said on the back of the
Starting point is 01:28:03 elevator. It was one of my Caucasian co-workers said, oh my God. There's a face says, high coach prime in Ocho's defense, he gave me that heat
Starting point is 01:28:15 for choosing dogs over people. He gives criticism not so much for wide receivers, but will support him on nightcap through and through. Great show tonight. What would they say? She said he gets upset for choosing dogs over people.
Starting point is 01:28:30 He get mad at me. He'll criticize me for choosing dogs over people. But he won't criticize. That ain't right, though. That ain't right, though. You can't choose no dog. You can't choose no animal, no man. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:28:42 No woman. Thank you. No, Chanda, I know how you are with Adam over no man. Yeah. He said the woman came to be in the bed. They keep talking about Chana. You let the dogs get on the bed. I'll let the motherfucker borrow my car.
Starting point is 01:28:54 Y'all believe he did? No, no. The dog ain't get on the bed now. Hey, he get the car. He get the front seat. You be right. You got to stop that, dog. You got to stop.
Starting point is 01:29:03 You got to stop that shit. I told you. Yeah, that's not right. I ain't even talking about how you treat me. Like, I don't really want to go there. How you treat me? I really want to tell these folks how you really treat me, man. I'm tired of texting you and talking about how nasty you are.
Starting point is 01:29:17 I'm tired of that. And you're selfish. And you're straight out selfish. This man will text me. This man will text me. This man will text me. Ocho, the man text me, you ain't man this man he's selfish. This man text me Ocho the man text me you ain't right.
Starting point is 01:29:29 That's it. That's the problem. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about. Like if I text Chad on site he know damn well what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:29:41 Yeah. But we all got these little codes. You know damn well what I'm talking about. I know exactly what you're talking about. Damon Lee asked, Coach Prime, would you let a woman choose the restaurant on the first date?
Starting point is 01:29:53 How would I have it? Okay, how much? Now, you know I got a stop sign in my pocket. I know you do. I know you do. You know me. You know me. You know me. Hey, my money got these on.
Starting point is 01:30:10 That's how long they been out. My money got shades on. There we go. You know, I'm like that. It ain't been flying a long time. Ain't money flying down there because it ain't been out of your pocket in a long time. Yeah, my money got to be in your wrist.
Starting point is 01:30:21 Oh, you got that ray on them. My money got that ray. My money got to be in your wrist. No, but got that ray on them. My money got that ray. My money got through your wrist. Hey. No, but I want the woman to choose whichever place she goes because I'm so, man, I'm old school, man. I take you
Starting point is 01:30:35 to Waffle House in a heartbeat, man. Come on, dad. I take you to Waffle House. I take you to Golden Corral. Come on, dad. Hey, man. I mean, you go to the place you ain't spending a fifty dollars you can give them
Starting point is 01:30:47 I like salt grass it ain't about how much I'm spending as long as we happy but see that is that is how they look at it first of all I'm the entertainment
Starting point is 01:30:53 I'm gonna make sure we happy cause I'm gonna guide the conversation and I'm we gonna have a good time man you first of all all three of us
Starting point is 01:31:00 we we obtained the gift of conversation yes yeah I talk too much and we obtained the gift of conversation. Yes. Yeah. I talk too much. We obtain the gift
Starting point is 01:31:07 of entertainment as well. Yes. We're great conversationalists. So it's not going to be a boring date unless you say something to trigger us. This ain't it.
Starting point is 01:31:17 Yeah. Yeah. You hit that trigger now. This ain't it now. No, I'm going to already fast, but I'm going to eat faster than I normally do. That thing going to be,
Starting point is 01:31:26 we going to be in and out of there in 30 minutes. Yeah, we ain't going to, we going to get appetite. We ain't going to, because you ain't going to spend it. If it ain't right, we ain't. Yeah, I'm going to call one of them boys. Hey, man.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Hey, come kick with me down here. They asked, Mickey Housley asked, how many Super Bowl rings would John Elway have if Shannon was replaced by Ocho? That's a good question. First of all, you can't replace Shannon. You can't replace Shannon.
Starting point is 01:31:55 How many are you going to have, Ocho? Oh, about three. About three? So John's going to have one more than what he got if you take me out and put you in yeah I don't know it just sound good
Starting point is 01:32:13 though it sound real good since we talking hypotheticals I'm gonna make sure it sounds good you don't like the block you don't like the block don't say I don't like the block I You don't like the block. And Price, he didn't do it. No, no, no, no. Don't say I don't like the block. I might have lost every time I blocked,
Starting point is 01:32:29 but my man ain't make the tackle. That's all that matter. And the West going to stop it. He'll run you off too. Now, he'll run you off too. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And I'm taking two or three people
Starting point is 01:32:39 with me every time. In his defense, when he was on there wasn't nobody in the game better than his stretch in his stretch wasn't nobody in the game better I'm going to tell you something
Starting point is 01:32:55 how we first got down was one of my friends Lenny Harris who was telling me hey man he said he got it he talking junk. He say he'll do this, do this. You know what? And I invited him to the crib.
Starting point is 01:33:09 Oh, yeah. And he came out to the crib, Shannon. And we worked. I invited, like, several guys to the crib to just work on their game, work on their life, just work, period. And he was one of them, man. He was one of them. And I saw right then, I said, boy, that boy got some.
Starting point is 01:33:25 Because his feet was unbelievable. And you know what's so funny? This is how smart he was one of them. And I saw right then, I said, boy, that boy got some, because his feet was unbelievable. And you know what's so funny? This is how smart he was. I had Mike come over to work with some of the receivers too. And afterwards, he wanted to meet with me because he's like,
Starting point is 01:33:36 hey man, I know what Mike teaching me and all that, but that ain't me. I don't like him to touch me, dog. I like, I said,
Starting point is 01:33:44 he right. You right. because that's that always stayed with me because as a coach I can't just teach what I do I got to teach what's best for you right Mike was a big physical receiver
Starting point is 01:33:55 he wanted to play through contact so Mike was teaching him that his release and that joke and I ain't want you to get a hand on him he ain't want you to touch him and he had that he had that
Starting point is 01:34:04 and it's so funny. I'm not going to take the credit because he's a bad boy. But the information and everything he gained, I think it just gave him... Because there were some corners there that was good, too. He went that next year, dog, and went off. Went off. Like, he

Starting point is 01:37:14 J. Yo, guys, we've heard about your pregame rituals, but what about your postgame rituals? Did you have anything that you did time? Did you have anything you did, Ocho, after the game? I always had migraines. I always had migraines. Always had migraines. So controlling the migraine from being up,
Starting point is 01:37:32 being fired up and just wanting to go get it, that calming down period was tough. So I always had migraines. So on the plane ride back home, they was medicating me and trying to give me stuff and ice everywhere. I couldn't never do nothing after games, so I always went to the crib.
Starting point is 01:37:48 Straight home. My routine after every game in Cincinnati was always the same. Win or lose, I'm going to J. Alexander's in Hyde Park. I have a celebratory cigar. Win or lose, obviously for getting out of the game healthy, and that was it. I did the
Starting point is 01:38:04 same thing after every game for a decade straight and if the people if corporate from Jay Alexander sees this, if y'all don't bring back them goddamn honey butter biscuits I know something. Honey butter croissants.
Starting point is 01:38:20 Oh man. What'd you do Jay? I normally just went home. I'd go get something. Occasionally, we'd go to guys. Hold on, wasn't there something? Wasn't there something you wouldn't get? No, I'm just asking.
Starting point is 01:38:35 They wouldn't know it was something. You mean something to eat? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It wasn't nothing going on. My body was, man, you know, I was lean when I played. I didn't insinuate that, but you said something. It wasn't no things going on I wasn't gonna be able to do nothing I'd have locked up on her and then she got it I'd have to get an IV I
Starting point is 01:38:51 was like this here so no we occasionally I would go we'd go out the guys we'd go get something to eat but most of the time I would call ahead get an order black there was this restaurant called Black Happy I would call ahead get chicken chicken, rice, broccoli, corn, two wheat rolls, and a lemonade. He always was disciplined on his eating, man. I would quit prime. Did you eat healthy
Starting point is 01:39:13 when you played? No, no. Thank you, man. Thank you. I was so ignorant when we was in Atlanta, I had soul food catered for lunch for everybody, for the whole team.
Starting point is 01:39:22 Man, you... Collard greens and rice and Black Eyed Peas, baked chicken. We was were eating there for lunch didn't go out there to practice i was like man we're lost that man man yeah thank you all i'm gonna do y'all eat that i'm going to sleep i i appreciate that i'm glad you said that because i've been trying i've been telling people for for 30 some years they they don't listen to me man no i didn't i wish i had it though i wish i had it i wish i had see you hear that oh you hear that don't listen to me man no i didn't i wish i had it though i wish i had it i wish i had see you hear that oh you hear that don't you always stayed in shape but i i didn't eat right
Starting point is 01:39:50 right i didn't eat right either and i always stayed in shape so i mean but you you you you a freak genetically dog you you could eat whatever you want you still gonna stay lean you but but you know i still but i work like a madman i'm still working like a madman. I ain't got no... You just... You're going to always be lean. That's your gene. You don't have the disposition to put on weight. You're not going to be 250. You're not going to be 300, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:40:15 That's not your body frame. Look how narrow... You see how your shoulders are in that jersey? He don't like to call him narrow now. He get offended. Don't do that. I'm 220. What are you talking about narrow?
Starting point is 01:40:24 I'm not 220. You've never been 200 in your life, hey. No. I'm 220 right now? What are y'all talking about? Look. You've never been. No.
Starting point is 01:40:36 I don't think you've ever hit 200 in your life, hey. Nah, never. Nah, hell nah. Hey, Pratt, you know how they used to have it at the NFL experience? They had that jersey, and the little kids go stick their head in that thing, and you see the little body hanging.
Starting point is 01:40:48 That's what he looked like in that jersey right there. But, dog, he always been ripped, though. He always been shredded. Oh, yeah. I'm ripped now. I'm ripped now. You always been that way. Yeah, don't play it.
Starting point is 01:41:00 Jacob commented, we all know Unk brushed his teeth immediately after the game. Oh, yeah, I had to get that in. But I saw that the other day, dog. I don't do it as much as you do, but I probably brush about five times a day. Thank you. I have to brush after I eat every time. Thank you. I mean,
Starting point is 01:41:18 you said ten times a day. That's excessive. That's a little too much. Somebody told Shannon, I'm going to tell you what happened. Shannon ain't tell y'all. I'm going to tell y'all because I love y'all. Somebody told Shannon when he was younger that his breath stank. That's what they did, no time. I know we can play like they did, but somebody
Starting point is 01:41:34 told him that his breath stank and he was defensive and he wanted to defuse that, so he just went over-brushing because somebody told, like, somebody I've honestly I've never had that well not anyone that told me because you know that's a very tough conversation to have
Starting point is 01:41:51 no it ain't no it ain't not when you from Florida we had that conversation oh yeah I've always been the one to point out those things and nobody want to talk about yeah I mean but you know you got to make a joke of it no time you just can't say man your mouth you got to make a joke of it you just can't say man your mouth you gotta make a joke of it you ain't even gotta make no joke
Starting point is 01:42:07 you say hey you want a piece of gum nah I be like you gotta kick sand up under your tongue why your tongue hard like you do it here you gotta make a joke.
Starting point is 01:42:26 I've always pointed out those things that people wouldn't, you know, people wouldn't point out. Man. Somebody said something. What? Hey, but you know when you spend the kind of money that we don't spend
Starting point is 01:42:39 on these things, man, I got to keep them right. He ain't lying. That's the cost. I got, man, when I first started doing TV, give me the whole grill. How much the whole grill cost? Give me the whole grill,
Starting point is 01:42:50 all 32. Every last one of them. Game back. All 32. Prime, how do you feel about the media painting a false narrative about all your players was going to leave Colorado
Starting point is 01:43:06 while watching all these top school players hit the transfer portal? Okay, first of all, our first time when I got there, I only had that conversation with probably 20 players. The rest of them quit. The rest of them shut it down. That was the God honest truth. I didn't say nothing about it, but that's what truly happened. Some of them thought they was
Starting point is 01:43:25 just getting over on us, like right before the spring game. All the defensive linemen, but I think two of them, the interior linemen, got together and like, we're going to quit. Like, y'all ain't heard me. You know, that makes it easier for us to go in the portal and get them.
Starting point is 01:43:42 And I'm like, I wish I could have talked to them before that because I would have told them, at least you want to stay and play in the spring game because we're on national television and that's going to help you in the portal. But they didn't think about that. Also, they never did a follow-up, but I did.
Starting point is 01:43:55 I'm not going to tell you the numbers. But all the players that got in the portal left, where are they now? Somebody should do their follow-up. Come on now. So you understand, did they even get to another team? Mm. Come on, now.
Starting point is 01:44:11 And we try to help all of them, the ones that we really talk to, to try to get them a place to go to the play. James said, oh, how do you brush your teeth 10 times a day, but you let the dog sleep on the bed? Easy. Brush my teeth, dog sleep on the bed. Kenny, you're taking it too far with the dog. That dog ain't hurting nobody.
Starting point is 01:44:29 Prime? Yeah, and you're too big for a little dog. I got a big dog too. Yeah, but how do they get along? They get along great. I'm the pack leader. I'm the pack leader. So whatever I say goes.
Starting point is 01:44:43 That's how the hierarchy is. Everybody whatever I say goes. That's how you, that's the hierarchy is. Everybody, everybody falls in line behind me. Okay. Cause I know you always talking about relational stuff. Yes. If you so close to that dog, it's no way you're going to be close to somebody else like that.
Starting point is 01:44:57 Cause you kind of love them dogs and going to you love whoever it is. I do. I do. I do love them. I know you do. I know you do. But I, but I love my thing. I know you do. But I love... My thing is, Brian, look.
Starting point is 01:45:09 When I love you, I love. And I love hard. And so, for me to have someone that I can love like them dogs, man, look here. You can't do that, Shannon. You can't say that, dog.
Starting point is 01:45:24 You can't say, have somebody I love like them dogs. That don't sound right. You can't do that, Chad. You can't say that, dog. You can't say he has somebody I love like them dogs. That don't sound right. That don't sound right. I've been trying to find him a woman for the past three months. And Chad be married. You know what I can have. That's a good question.
Starting point is 01:45:39 Wait, wait. Stay with me, baby. Stay with me real quick. Wait a minute. Both of y'all ain't got nobody. I got somebody for both of y'all. I've been working on him for three months. He difficult. I got somebody for you. I'm not right. I'm not going to tell you I'm not right.
Starting point is 01:45:52 Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean you're not right? Because I'm married to the gang. I'm married to... See? I'm married to... Wait, wait, wait. What I do.
Starting point is 01:45:58 Wait, wait, wait. Listen. I'm married to these kids. I'm married to... Yeah. I'm married to the gang. I hear all that. I hear all that you're talking.
Starting point is 01:46:05 I got somebody for you that understands the vision, that understands what you're going through with everything that you're doing right now, and she will be perfect for your journey. Boy, that sounds real good. Yeah. But I...
Starting point is 01:46:14 Don't worry about it. Listen, I'm going to tell her to text you after this. I got you, though. Listen, hey, wait, wait, wait. Stay with me real quick. Let's work on Shannon. Why y'all got to...
Starting point is 01:46:23 Man, he don't listen. No. He don't listen. I know what he like. I know what he like. I know what he like. But I don't know if it's sustainable. It's just because the dog's in the way.
Starting point is 01:46:36 That's the problem. Dog ain't in no way. The dog's in the way. But Prime, the dog's hard. You do love them dogs, boy. You love humans. Yeah, you do. No, I do.
Starting point is 01:46:44 I do. You do. Because humans full boy. You love humans. Yeah, you do. No, I do. I do. You do. Because humans are full of caca. Yeah. Hey, Prime, you trust me, right? You're scarred. Prime, you trust me, yeah? No.
Starting point is 01:46:54 In some aspects. Okay, because Jesus got this wheel. I got you. Jesus got this wheel. I got somebody for you. Boy, you're going to be happy, too. You're going to be like, boy, you know what? I'm not.
Starting point is 01:47:04 I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not listening to you. That's what I told her. I'm not listening to you. I'm telling you, I got clubbed, I got first take,
Starting point is 01:47:13 I got nightcap. I'm married to the game, Chad. Thank you. You see that? Why your head so hard? Listen, this is what I'm telling y'all. Y'all don't listen. I love when I do what I do what I love.
Starting point is 01:47:24 Okay, talk to me about the attributes because I'm listening. I'm in the portal. Y'all y'all don't listen i love when i do what i do what i love okay talk to me about the attribute because i'm listening i'm in the portal y'all old heads man y'all y'all stubborn y'all too old to be stubborn that's how you need to listen to the younger folks go ahead hear me listen to the younger folks listen listen your antennas is always raised you overthink you analyze too much you act like old women that's sitting on the front porch. If I'm telling you I got something good for you that can help you with what you're doing,
Starting point is 01:47:48 why not listen? Give me a couple attributes. I can't think of... We got too many people. We got too many... 6'1". 6'1". That's too tall for him.
Starting point is 01:47:57 No, it... Damn! I don't know me now. I've been doing this man 30 years Hold on, hold on We've been close Close, close, close, close 15 years

Starting point is 01:49:14 210. No, that's too big for him. But anyway, you got to start off at 155. Right, right. On up. Okay, okay. But it's got to be workout. Right, right. On up. Okay, okay. But it's got to be workout. Right, right.

Starting point is 01:50:21 Y'all better than me. No, I'm telling you, he ain't doing that. I'm just telling you what you're dealing with. Women with kids got snacks. Women with no kids always want to go out to eat. I don't like that. I'm trying to tell you who he is. You trying to help him?
Starting point is 01:50:33 Okay. The people I've been trying to hook him up with, they ain't even got no kids. They are professional people in the corporate world that have been throwing themselves, not even throwing themselves. No, no, no. The couple people that I've heard
Starting point is 01:50:46 you've been trying to hook him up to, he don't want that. He don't want something that everybody, everybody named mommy, he ain't into that. He ain't having a good time. No, no, no, no, no.

Starting point is 01:51:48 I got five kids. I'm walking in there with a whole five of them. You know, I'm going to take my kids everywhere. Man, listen. If you...
Starting point is 01:51:53 Them kids... I'm bringing teddy bear. Teddy bear my plus one. Hey, ain't no dog. Ain't no dog. And them dogs allowed. He will try to do that, Joe. Oh, you going to the Bahamas?

Starting point is 01:52:14 Where the pigs are. I want to go. I got married to one of them pigs. And that's all? Huh? That's far away. You talking about in Zuma. Like, Zuma.
Starting point is 01:52:23 I'm going to the Bahamas. I want to go to the pigs. What area? I want to go see the pigs. I don't know. It's some trip. I'm going to Mama's. I want to go to the pig. What area? I want to go see the pig. I don't know. It's some trip. I mean, it's beautiful. Beautiful.
Starting point is 01:52:31 I got married. I ain't been back. But go ahead. There's a whole other thing. Time, a couple of shows ago, they said our top five comedians. We saw Red Fox. You posted Red Fox.
Starting point is 01:52:41 Love Red Fox. Oh, yeah. Give me your top five comedians. Red Fox, Richard Pryor. This ain't in the order. I'm just throwing them out there randomly. Red Fox, Richard Pryor, Flip Wilson. Bernie Mac probably in there.
Starting point is 01:53:02 Yeah. Bernie Mac probably in there. Yeah. It may be... What's my dark complexion brother name that passed away prematurely? Oh, you're talking about... Robin Harris. Robin Harris.
Starting point is 01:53:21 Robin Harris. Maybe his kids. Robin Harris. Here's kids. Maybe his kids. Yeah. Robin Harris. Here's some great ones, man. Because I mean. Very good ones. You know. I mean.
Starting point is 01:53:32 There can't be a list without Pryor. I don't believe there can be a list without Murphy. Even though he doesn't do it. Yeah. Yeah. But Eddie. What he. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:53:42 What he was. Yeah. Yeah. But I think that The gentleman I mentioned The thing that most of them Shared in common is they all Had shows
Starting point is 01:53:53 You gotta understand, Flip Wilson You know, Red Fox, all those guys Had shows and Richard Pryor Was doing so much on the screen That's what got me That's what got me. Yeah. That's what got me early on. It made me dream.
Starting point is 01:54:12 They're asking, Pryor, what's your favorite top water? Teach a man how to fish, take your baby fishing every chance you get. What do you like so much about the water? The serenity and peace of it. You might not realize that when you go to Vegas, those who go to vegas it's water you see water everywhere yeah it's something about the serenity and the peacefulness of water it makes you there they believe it makes you want to gamble more and spend more do more it's water during out of every view in vegas and i just love water. I love the fish, man. Matter of fact,
Starting point is 01:54:45 it's so funny that you said that because I was in my backyard here in Texas, and I was like, I ain't got no water back here. I just had them build a whole lake in my backyard, man. Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 01:55:00 Wait, time out, time out, time out, man. You mean you got a lake like Tommy Davidson did in that Martin episode in the house? I got a lake. I got two lakes. I got Lake Prime and Lake Time on property. I just put another lake. I have named my third lake.
Starting point is 01:55:17 I'm trying to name my third lake. Can we eat fish out of that pond? Because every time I know y'all play, I'm going to take you to Red Lobster. We ain't doing that. No, you got a catfish pond. You're not eating my fish. Why would you want to eat my fish? Hold on. You built
Starting point is 01:55:30 three lakes and you got fish in there? I have two lakes, yeah. I just built them a third one. What kind of fish you got? Bass, bluegill, crappie. Those species. Hey, man. Let me go catch a mess of fish, man.
Starting point is 01:55:46 Okay, I'll throw the bags back, but let me keep the blue grills and the crappie. You know what? I'll let you do that. Damn. You ain't patient enough to fish anyway,
Starting point is 01:55:54 so I know you ain't coming. I'll beat you fishing, Brian. You ain't patient enough to fish. You're not patient enough. First of all, you ain't going to sit nowhere that long. I know you like a book.
Starting point is 01:56:02 You know I know you. Unless I have company. There you go. There you go right there. We't going to sit nowhere that long. I know you like a book. You know I know you. Unless I have company. There you go. There you go right there. We're going to move on. You want to move on now? Ty, let me ask you a question. Would you eat raccoon, possum, alligator, rabbit?
Starting point is 01:56:17 Rabbit. My mama scarred me with rabbit. I had a pet rabbit. I stayed in Joan Walker's apartment. Anybody four miles know that apartment complex, like the projects, right? Stayed in Joan Walker's apartment. Ain't about four miles. No, that's apartment complex like the projects, right? Stayed in Joan Walker's apartment. Stayed on the second floor. I had a pet rabbit.
Starting point is 01:56:32 Some kind of way I went to school, come back, rabbit gone. We got rabbit for dinner that night. I said, look at mom. I said, look at mom. Y'all got to stop. Ain't nobody cook your rabbit. I said, well, how we got rabbit and my rabbit gone? We on the second floor. We on the second floor.
Starting point is 01:56:48 Where did my rabbit go? Like, how my rabbit going to leave or run away in the second floor in the hood? How? But we got rabbit. No, your stepdaddy, he went and got rabbit from dying here. That's the rabbit he cooked. Well, where my rabbit? I'm scarred. I'm scarred by that rabbit where's my rabbit? I'm scarred.
Starting point is 01:57:06 I'm scarred by that rabbit. To this day, I'm scarred by that rabbit. How you going to cook my rabbit and ask me to eat it? They asked Eduardo Tapia asked, Coach Prime, if you could choose as a head coach, would you be the head coach
Starting point is 01:57:22 or the general manager of the Chargers? I don't want to do pros i love college i would never do pro i i don't believe that that's a lie i don't believe that prime you you're the very listen to me stay with me baby you are the very person who had a song called must be the money that's turning me i know i'm straight and if they. And if they show you that money over there in LA, guess where we're going to be at? Notice I said we.
Starting point is 01:57:51 Guess where we're going to be at? I'm so glad you said that. So let me address this one thing at a time. Must be the money was a testimony. I wasn't bragging about the money. I was saying must be the money that's turning y'all on.
Starting point is 01:58:03 I said Diamond Rolex, Gators on my feet. I got a pair every day of the week. My hat's done, be the money that's turning y'all on. I said, Diamond Rolex, Gators on my feet. I got a pair every day of the week. My hat's done, my fingernails too. Six buttons down. I don't know what this do. Must be this money.
Starting point is 01:58:11 I was saying, y'all changed. I didn't. It must be the money. Now, secondly, I'm strong. God has provided everything I need, man.
Starting point is 01:58:21 I'm having the time of my life. I love Boulder, Colorado. I love the kids that I get to coach. I love the recruiting process. I love it. I like the way it sounds. And I like the purity of the young men. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:58:35 You know, I like the sensitivities, and I like all the amateurism of it, even though it's turning to pros because everybody want a bag now. But I would have a hard time in a locker room with a guy that's making a multitude of millions and he don't want to play. I don't want to give this all. I would have a problem with that, Chad. A real problem with that. And you know, he had teammates like, I can't do that. And I've been trying to tell Ochoa.
Starting point is 01:59:00 Ochoa said he ain't never played with nobody like that. Yes, he did. He just didn't want to see it. Wait, they just played for the money? Played for the money, just didn't really want to give it their all. Just wouldn't want to play. They had a lot of talent and they just messed it around.
Starting point is 01:59:16 Well, messed it around by doing things off the field, not on the field. And on the field. Just don't want to do right. Yeah, see, I ain't pay attention like that, honestly. I ain't going to lie to you. And I don't want you in L.A. You can't be in field. And on the field. Just don't want to do right. Yeah, see, I ain't pay attention like that, honestly. I ain't going to lie to you. And I don't want you in L.A. You can't be in L.A. with me.
Starting point is 01:59:30 Me? First of all, L.A. First of all, L.A. too expensive for me. You know how cheap I am. I'm not getting a house. I don't like California. Right. I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:59:40 I'm trying to get closer to Shannon so he can take you. I don't want to sit close to him. I don't. You haven't got that hint? Have he ever invited you anywhere to California? No. He don't even answer my damn text message. Thank you. I'll meet you somewhere if you get there.
Starting point is 01:59:55 He's going to be evasive on getting there based on what's in there. Right, right, right, right. That's who he is. You ain't know who he is. He don't want us there. First of all, he need to get his butt back in Atlanta. That's what he need to do't know who he is he don't want us there first of all he need to get his butt back in Atlanta that's what he need to do
Starting point is 02:00:08 no no I don't need to get back in Atlanta no I don't well you said you were taking me to the place with the booty juice
Starting point is 02:00:15 Magic City he ain't going there Sean ain't going there second of all you still got your house there yeah how you got a house there you don't invite nobody
Starting point is 02:00:24 and don't even let nobody use it. That's selfish. That's why I call him selfish all of that. He's selfish. Hey, can I use it for Airbnb? I talk to Magic. What he said? First of all, Magic is a hero, a national treasure. Let's get that right. Magic
Starting point is 02:00:39 ain't one of the games. Still looking good. Still fly. Magic is still magic. You talking about somebody that should have a movie, a documentary done? Yes. Yeah. Yeah, please. Magic changed everybody's life. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:53 And just talk game. I mean, magic just taught you game and all that, man. I love magic. Nikki Taylor says, Dear Ocho and Coach Prime, please know how much a blessing you are to genuine black culture. So proud to each of you. You are needed.
Starting point is 02:01:09 Thank you, Nikki. We really appreciate that. That is definitely needed. That is. That is. Yeah, you need it. I mean, we talk about this. More so me and you, Prime, than Ocho.
Starting point is 02:01:22 But we talk about how, I don't know what it is, is that when we see one of us starting to do good, we start, oh, I don't like something he said or I don't like something he did or he's not authentic. I'm like, bro, you do realize they print money. And although I'm making a little bit of it, I ain't taking none out your pocket. I just don't understand. That's one of the reasons Gilbert and I, besides wanting to do great, do things together, is that we wanted to show people that black people can get together
Starting point is 02:01:55 and elevate one another and not have to talk about one another. First of all, I could go on for days because I'm in the coaching realm and you have no idea the bull junk we deal with the bull junk. They tell the kids about our program. Oh my God, you wouldn't even believe it. And I'm not talking about, I'm talking about us. Yeah. And it baffles me that all we've ever tried to do.
Starting point is 02:02:25 One thing I've never seen Ocho do is hate on somebody. I've never seen him treat anybody unfairly or unjustifiably. I've never seen you just, you know, I've seen you angry a couple of times when somebody disrespected you, Shani. You're ready to check. That's who you are. But I've seen you go out your way to be kind and to be nice and y'all know i get that i try to help everybody and their mama y'all know that from right before these cameras even came i helped a lot of people in their mama but you know what i'm talking about
Starting point is 02:02:55 but go ahead time go ahead go ahead make your point go ahead make your point time but that's what i'm saying that's what that's why you ain't no good. But I don't understand people that just want to wish ill on another man just because he's successful or he's doing it his way authentically. You know, like, I don't understand that. I really don't. And it's hard for me to fathom on a daily basis even some of the stuff that, you know, my kids receive. I'm like, y'all got to be kidding me. I mean, they'll show me some of the text messages or some of the stuff
Starting point is 02:03:30 on social. It's unbelievable. And I think social just gives too many people access to you to say anything they want. I don't know how somebody wakes up in the morning angry and just going to tweet something when you put something out positively and you're going to
Starting point is 02:03:46 tweet something. Chad was the first one that that hip all of us athletes to this. He was the Genesis. I know nothing about this. He did that. He had the NFL on fire. He had
Starting point is 02:04:01 man, I remember this joke of him used to say, I'm going to the movies. Anybody come to the movies, you're in free. And he'll rent out the whole theater. That's who he is. And he's never changed.
Starting point is 02:04:13 He pays, takes care and leave enormous tips. I would never do that. But he leaves enormous tips. He write a wonderful note. Like, that's just who he is. Chad, i know what you do for people like i don't
Starting point is 02:04:27 understand how somebody could just be nasty man when when when you see when you see the the blogs or or the the the podcast and they're saying negativity about you how does it i mean i know your kids i know they want to respond but But how do you say, you know what? Let it go. Because I'm 56, and I've been there and done that. Yo, we've been in the light how long? Long, 30. Over 30 years. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:55 Don't you think I had no idea how to light by now? I've been in there over 30 years, man. And I'm in the third quarter of my life. I've been prime time. I've been prime. Now I'm Coach Prime. I'm in the third quarter of my life. I've been prime time. I've been prime. Now I'm coach prime. I'm in the third quarter. And I'm winning.
Starting point is 02:05:10 I'm up. I'm up. Oh man, I'm high stepping. I got the hand behind the head right now. So you think I'm going to do anything to let them catch up? No. I can't fathom that. And my kids are watching me. Forget America. My kids are watching me. Forget America.
Starting point is 02:05:26 My kids are watching me. My kids are watching how daddy responds to adversity. And they watch me every day. I get to go to work with my kids every day. And that's going to be the best year of my life because this is the last year I get to coach my boys. So that's going to be a phenomenal year. Have you thought about what it's going to be like? Because there's never,
Starting point is 02:05:43 there's haven't been a situation in which you haven't coached him. He's going to be tough. Shadur went away to South Carolina for a year, but Shadur. Shallow, shallow. Shallow went away. Shadur, you've coached Shadur every step of the way. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:55 He's the only coach you've ever, he's ever known. First time this year, our last game was the first game ever that I was present and he didn't play. First game he missed since Pee Wee Lee that I was there. Now, I was in the hospital for four games in Jackson that he played, but I
Starting point is 02:06:14 had never played with him. So that's tremendous. Baby girl playing basketball. So I love it, man. I love it. DeAndre's in Atlanta, comes out all the time. Bucky's running your social media.
Starting point is 02:06:29 So you've turned this thing, you've turned this thing into a family affair. It's a family affair. I have a question. We can make it an even bigger family affair. Now,
Starting point is 02:06:39 we can make this a package deal. I can talk to, here we go. Listen, I can talk to baby girl about coming on down to Colorado if you give me a coaching job and we can make it a package deal i can talk to you here we go listen i can talk to baby girl about coming on down to colorado if you give me a coaching job and we can make it a package a package i will make you i'm not going to give you a coaching coaching job i give you a coaching job not a coaching coaching because i know you're going to do right what that means is it am i getting money money or am i
Starting point is 02:06:58 getting money you're getting no you get more money who name money It ain't money, you more. Wait, wait. I need the N-E-Y ain't on there? You ain't getting no N-E-Y. You ain't getting N-E-Y yet. Because I don't trust you yet. Because I know you ain't going to do right. Well, listen. You going to be a heck of a coach.
Starting point is 02:07:15 Now, I trust your skills and your knowledge. Right. And what you going to spit to the kid. I trust that. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Spit to the kid. I'm going to have on my cleats. I lead by example by actually doing.
Starting point is 02:07:26 You're right. You're right. I do reconcile that you will do that. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So when it comes to my pay, I need the N.E.Y. on the end of my money. I don't want no more. See, that's where we're going to have the problem. Yeah, see? I can't do that. We're going to
Starting point is 02:07:41 go back to the drawing board and we talk about this later. You don't want to build to that? Like, if you build to it, you can't just come in and get it. Shit. Who can't? Jeff Lawson. We need Coach Fry at least once a month.
Starting point is 02:08:01 This has been amazing. He was very fortunate because he reached out to me and said, man, where y'all on again? I said, we on Saturday night. I called you.
Starting point is 02:08:08 He didn't call me because you're nasty. He did. He did call me. He did call me. He hit me up and said, hey, man,
Starting point is 02:08:15 where y'all on again? I said, we all had too much fun without me and I don't like that. I got mad. He said, I'm coming.
Starting point is 02:08:19 I said, hold on, are you too big you gonna come on our show? He said, I'm coming on. When I'm coming on. It was way past my bedtime. It was way past my bedtime too. That's why I'm in hold on. How you think you're going to come on our show? He said, I'm coming on. When I'm coming on. It's way past my bedtime.
Starting point is 02:08:26 It is. It's past my bedtime, too. That's why I'm in a row. Listen, it's past my bedtime, too, but I've been enjoying this so much. You know what I do? I've been doing it. I take a nap during the day. I take a nap during the day just so I can stay up,
Starting point is 02:08:37 and I still get up at 5 a.m. every time. That's it. During the season, I get up at 425 every morning during the season. Now I get to sleep in a little more Another second By the way I ain't saying nothing about us You know we recruiting
Starting point is 02:08:50 Our butts off right now right I know you are Wait we who What Recruiting our butts off right now We dugging with that thing right now That is why you should have me On your team
Starting point is 02:08:59 When it comes to the recruiting process You got the selling point right here Who else? Put me inside somebody's mama's house and let me do the talking. You already know what's going to happen. I'll sell water to a well. What?
Starting point is 02:09:11 I believe you. Come on, now. I do believe you. What you doing? Now, what you want to do? We can start next week. I consider. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:09:20 Oh, receiver core is ridiculous. The receivers. Oh, they nice. No, no, no, no. Oh, they nice. You guys, we just signed. Oh, wait court is ridiculous. The receivers. Oh, they nice. No, no, no, no. Oh, they nice. The guys we just signed. Oh, wait. Some more boys?
Starting point is 02:09:31 Hey. Oh, we've been showing that. Oh, man. Hey, Prime. You got a job for me? Mm-mm. No. You ain't coming nowhere around.
Starting point is 02:09:39 You or your dogs. No. Because I know you ain't going to do right. I know you ain't going to do right. And you're selfish. Bo, what's up, Bo? Shout out to my brother, Bo. Shout out to my brother, Bo, man.
Starting point is 02:09:50 Watch it, man. Brian, you remember Bo? You met Bo before, Brian. You probably don't remember. I don't remember. Yeah, you met him before. Bo, what's up, baby? I love you.
Starting point is 02:09:59 They're asking in the chat, Coach. They're asking, are you expected to lower Travis Hunter's overall snap counts on both sides of the ball? Travis, because me and you out, if I try to take him out of the game, you got to understand some dogs got to hunt. That's just who he is. He has to hunt. The thing about it, you just got to get more
Starting point is 02:10:15 depth, which we went and got, just in case. I say, Travis, you know what? Take a breathe on defense, because we got dogs as well. And we didn't have that. We didn't have the depth. Or take a breathe on offense.
Starting point is 02:10:30 Man, we got so many receivers right now, and they all have a pro grade. They all can ball, man. Jay, you would love to get down with them. And they're real ones too, man. Like, they love the game. They talk. They talk. And I let them be unapologetically them.
Starting point is 02:10:44 I want them to be who they are. Oh, we got talkers out there? Oh, we got some talkers too. Okay, that talk and I let them be unapologetically them I want them to be who they are we got talkers out there we got some talkers too okay that's where I need to be that's where I need to be see that that alone
Starting point is 02:10:52 should tell you why you need to hire me that alone right there but I know you ain't gonna do right I promise I'm gonna do right I got structure and discipline now I got something that can't be taught
Starting point is 02:11:04 there's a certain it factor that I was born with that I can pass on to these I got structure and discipline. Now? I got something that can't be taught. There's a certain it factor that I was born with. You do have that. Yeah, I can pass it off to them young fellas. You do have that. Shannon, what'd you think? No. Don't lie.
Starting point is 02:11:19 Why you hate? Thank you, Shannon. All right, see? See what I'm talking about? See, Shannon ain't going to lie to me. See? He won't bring me on first. See, he ain't gonna lie to me. He won't bring me on first take. Now he's saying, I don't need to go work for you.
Starting point is 02:11:33 Y'all trying to keep a brother down. First of all, you work with me. I'll keep you down when I elevate you. We got a show called Uncle Nocho. Right. Listen, I could do Uncle Nocho from Colorado. You know we went to the Hall of Fame together, right? So we got an unbelievable bond. You do know that, right?
Starting point is 02:11:52 Yeah, we can't lie to each other. We can't lie to each other. Well, I'm in the Hall of Fame too. I put on my own goddamn jacket. No, you did. Yeah. My jacket 101. Your jacket, everybody got them. That's a lie. That's a lie, then. That's a lie.

Starting point is 02:12:37 You know, life is short. Life is short. I can't do that. That one, I draw the line. You shouldn't have any restrictions while you're living. I draw the line. Draw the line. Huh? Draw the line. We not in kindergarten no more you're living. Draw the line. Huh?
Starting point is 02:12:45 Draw the line. We not in kindergarten no more. We don't draw the line. Draw the line. I don't even like to use the same bathroom. Like, I got to have two toilets. Like, I don't even... You got yours, I got mine.

Starting point is 02:13:21 Yeah, I do that. I do that. But I want you on that side getting ready. No, no, Yeah, I do that. I want you on that side getting ready. I want you on that side getting ready. See, it's a little different for me. I do all the maintenance. I do her upkeep. I do her makeup, her lashes,
Starting point is 02:13:35 her brows, her lipstick, her foundation. I apply all that. So I need you right next to me because you're not walking out of that house without me making sure you're on point because you are a representation of me once you leave out that door. Okay, so it's really about you. No, it ain't about me.
Starting point is 02:13:51 No, no, the way it sounded is about you. Everything I just said is how I save my money now, stay with me. Stay with me, that's how I save my money. She don't have to go nowhere to get her hair done. She ain't got to go nowhere to get her lashes or eyebrows or get her makeup done. I do everything. I do do all that, ask her or eyebrows or get her makeup done. I do everything. I do do
