And the success of NICAP is all because of you. We do what we do, but we need people to like what we do.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So we greatly, greatly appreciate that. Ocho, let's jump right into this ballgame. The Cowboys beat the Lions 2019. CeeDee Lamb had a career night, what we had talked about last week. He got going early, and you see 17 targets tonight. That's what he should have had last week, but they didn't make that mistake they made last week. Dallas improves to 11-5, remains in the mix for the NFC title.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Dallas falls to, excuse me, Detroit falls to 11-5, third in the NFC. So the worst they can be is third in the NFC. That's the worst they can be. So they will host at least one playoff game. Ocho, Ocho, Ocho. Where do you want to start? Listen, I like the game. I enjoyed the game on both sides of the ball.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Obviously, the first half, it was a bend but don't break. Excuse me. It was a bend but don't break defense. Both offenses really couldn't get in the rhythm, but it made for excitement, especially into the second half of the game. Dak was decent. C.D. Lamb was fucking. Oh, shoot. My bad. My bad. I curse. C.D. Lamb was balling. Brandon Cooks showed up tonight. Dak was efficient. Dak was very, very efficient. They really couldn't get in the end zone as many times as I would have liked them to.
Starting point is 00:06:06 But it made for an exciting game on the tail end. The Lions, listen, we say they fall to 11-5, but we're talking about the Lions here. Is it really falling, being 11-5 and being third to NFC and obviously going to the playoffs? They play good. Obviously, they couldn't overcome the turnovers.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I think Goff threw two interceptions, if I'm not mistaken Goff threw two interceptions, if I'm not mistaken. He did. He threw two interceptions, if I'm not mistaken. And I really like Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell's cojones to go for the two-point conversion, to get it, and obviously the tackle not checking in. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:37 And they're going for it again, and him not even caring. I really like that. For him, the team, just the confidence, the morale, just the whole nine yards. They didn't get the win. But again, it was a great game. The Cowboys played very, very, very, very good football. I'm glad they figured out in order to be in games, in order to win games, you got to get your playmakers to ball.
Starting point is 00:07:02 They tried to run. The running game really wasn't efficient with Parler tonight. Hadn't been efficient all year. Hadn't been good all year. Yeah, you're right. You're right about that. I didn't want to say that part. I just wanted to mention it about tonight.
Starting point is 00:07:13 But CeeDee Lamb went off, man. It was a great day. This is what, obviously, you just said. I'm going to piggyback on what you just said. This was CeeDee Lamb, what they should have done with him last week, too. And not allow him to disappear into the second half of the game. Right. It makes life easy.
Starting point is 00:07:28 It makes life easy for the coordinator. It makes life easy for Dak. And it opens up everything else. I thought Dak threw the ball exceptionally well tonight, Ocho. With the exception of that one mistake where he got picked, he was a little late throwing the CeeDee on the move. I thought Dak played really well. Because even if you look at some of the incompletions that he had to the tight end if the defense doesn't
Starting point is 00:07:46 make great plays Jake Ferguson come down with those balls he had two but it took extraordinary plays by the defensive player to get the ball out so Dak put the ball on the money so with the exception of that one bad throw I thought he played I thought he threw the ball exceptionally well
Starting point is 00:08:02 the Cowboys can't run the football. Dak has a lot on his plate because he has to be great. Because when you're one-dimensional, now everybody knows what you can do. And they know the Cowboys can't run. But to the Cowboys' credit, they were able to find the get-seedy isolated. They put him in the slot a lot. They did a lot of picking.
Starting point is 00:08:23 If you notice, they did a lot of rub-rups. And both guys can't press because you're gonna get picked off like you did so somebody have to be off and somebody has to be bumped okay they didn't get that rectified i thought the lions the lions ran the ball well the problem that i have with the lions you know the cowboys they're looking to cross your face. They want to make every run play bounce. How many times did we see them get tackled in the backfield, Ocho, because they let D-Law, or
Starting point is 00:08:53 they let Armstrong, or they let Diggy Zua, or they let someone cross their face. You know the Cowboys, they're undersized. What they don't want you to do is to come downhill at them so they're looking to make everything bounce i mean damn line i'm sure you watch films i'm sure your old line coach told you i'm sure the running backs told you do not let them cross your face
Starting point is 00:09:19 and if almost every time when they didn't let them cross their face, five, six, seven, eight yards, nine yards, 10 yards. It's really that simple. Ocho, look, I get it. The two-point, look, I got a problem with the first down they went for the fourth down. You did? I did. No, I'm talking about early in the game.
Starting point is 00:09:39 You remember when they ran the fake punt? They ran the fake punt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You didn't like that? I didn't for the simple fact you took points off the board after that great play. So now that's deflating because we did something great
Starting point is 00:09:51 and now we got nothing to show for it. At the end of the, I want something to show for man, we went for it. And that's huge because look where they were. They would have given Dallas the ball like at the 20-yard line. Worst case scenario, the Cowboys are going to come away with three points, maybe seven and blow the ball game open.
Starting point is 00:10:09 That was a gutsy call by Dan Campbell. Now pay it off by getting points and see now, maybe now we got a different situation. Now instead of going for it. Now, if we go for two, that's puts us up by three. Now the Cowboys are going to need to kick a field goal in order to tie us.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Right. But in that situation, Decker does not report because if we're to believe that all the angles that ESPN showed us, he never goes to the referee or the umpire and does this.
Starting point is 00:10:41 You always got to report. You got to report. And you got to make sure he lets you know he got you coming in reporting as well. Yeah, exactly. Now you look at the receiver. He's the X. He has to be on the ball.
Starting point is 00:10:54 The moment you're off the ball, you make the lineman ineligible. Yeah. Yeah. So it was just a matter, okay, what do we want to call? Illegal touching by the offensive lineman or illegal formation by the wide receiver?
Starting point is 00:11:07 Not being on the ball. The choice was yours. They had to... Yeah, one or the other. They had to call something. And I think the thing about it is, normally, obviously, you know, you script your plays, you script your game plan. I think they might not have practiced this in a very long time. Right. Because if they had, they would have
Starting point is 00:11:22 regurgitated over and over. Make sure you check in and make sure you you on the ball. That's on Jerry Goff. Jerry Goff got to say, hey, hey, Decker, you make sure you report. Hey, hey, official 68 68 68. Right, right, right. Now, you probably don't.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Hey, you got to do it in a loud and a quiet manner because you don't want the defense to know that he's eligible now because they're listening too. Mr. Rell, 68 is eligible. Decker needs to go to him. Me. Me. Yes. Yes. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:53 It was a good play call too. It was a great play call. You're not expecting no big ass lineman to go catch Robles. Especially not in that scenario. On a two point conversion? Hell no. And he kind of like semi rolls away
Starting point is 00:12:06 so you thinking okay we gonna we gonna see a sprint option to the right cause he's a right handed quarterback now he fills up and he throws backside Decker makes a great
Starting point is 00:12:14 great play excuse me cause he catches the ball with his hands so I just didn't look I get it
Starting point is 00:12:22 okay the first time Ocho we didn't get it so now they gotta back us up now I'm gonna kick the field goal and now I'm gonna kick the PAT I just didn't like, look, I get it. Okay, the first time, Ocho, we didn't get it. So now they got to back us up. Now I'm going to kick the field goal. And now I'm going to kick the PAT. I'm going to kick the PAT. I just am.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Now I get it. You're like, okay, we're locked in. We're locked into the number three seed. I'd like to be able to have a chance to get the number two seed. I don't know if they had a chance. Did they have a chance to get, if they went out? I mean, they had to have a chance to get something in order to be going for two. Well, they're locked into the three seed because the NFC South winner can't get to 11 games, if I'm not mistaken. I think they're like seven.
Starting point is 00:12:54 They're like eight and something. Eight and seven. So I don't think they can get the Bucs. It's the Bucs, right? Right. Right. They can't get to 11 wins. the Bucs it's the Bucs right right right they can't get to 11 wins so basically it's the 49ers the Eagles and the Cowboys now with a chance to get the number one seed right but and that's only
Starting point is 00:13:13 if that's only if the uh uh the Eagles and the uh the Eagles and the uh lose out the Eagles and the 49ers. That's crazy. Hold on. ESPN just showed another angle. Jerry Goff literally sends Taylor Decker and tells him to report as eligible. But did the officials see? Did he tell the officials? Oh, my goodness. He's talking
Starting point is 00:13:44 to the official and it seems to me that he's telling the official 68 is eligible that better not be the case because the NFL hold on but wait a minute Jared Goff can't tell him the actual player the actual player has to go check in right that ESPN showed another angle Jared Goff sends Decker to tell the official that he's reporting as eligible. Right. So Decker did report. That's what they're saying. I mean, the angle is that
Starting point is 00:14:13 Jared Goff literally sends Decker. Let me see. Okay. Somebody in trouble. Well, they got an out. The out is the receiver didn't line up on the ball. So we could have called. They had to throw a flag anyway.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Right, right. But that's not what you threw the flag. That's not what you called. Right. You can't say, oh, the guy was, oh, we could have called offside, but that's not what you called. You called holy. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:14:44 You should have thrown two fields. We had an illegal formation and an illegal touching that way you cover yourself because sometimes you see it we have holding by the defense that penalty is declined we have unnecessary roughness on the quarterback that penalty is accepted accepted okay you cover it i see i see where you're going. Yeah. I see where you're going. It was, like I said, I thought the Cowboys defense played okay. I thought the offensive line did a great job of protecting Jared Goff. Goff did not have a good night throwing the football. He was really good on the last drive. And then you see the last throw, he kind of aims it,
Starting point is 00:15:20 and he forces the tight end to try to go down, maybe if he puts it on him, and gives him an opportunity to turn. Because in that situation, Ocho, you want somebody to put the ball on you so you can turn. You can turn up field. That's all you want. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Oh, Ocho. Yeah. He's in the huddle. He tells Decker. Decker walks towards the official as they say, I'm eligible. So then the refs got the call wrong then, basically. They did. Oh.
Starting point is 00:15:55 And he walks to the referee. He walks to the referee. He leaves the huddle, walks to the referee and says, so now, uh, uh, Brad, I think Brad Jeffers,
Starting point is 00:16:09 Brad, somebody is the official who is the referee. Right. Brad got some explaining to do when they go to the ref pool, when they go to the pool, when he talks to the pool reporters, he's got some explaining to do because the, because the,
Starting point is 00:16:20 the reporters are going to see this and they're going to see him leave the huddle and go talk to the referee. So what excuse can he use? I don't know, but he's going to have some planning to do. You say, I mean, but the tackle was still covered up anyway,
Starting point is 00:16:38 so a flag would have had to been thrown. They didn't throw a flag. It's just like our defensive players, just like when Bob Miller lined up offside. They didn't throw the flag, It's just like our defensive players, just like when Von Miller lined up offside. They didn't throw the flag. So it ain't no penalty. We can only go by the penalty by what you call,
Starting point is 00:16:53 what you threw the flag on. You threw the flag saying the player was an illegal touching because he's an offensive lineman. You didn't say illegal formation and illegal touching. You can throw two flags flags you can throw three flags right they got some explaining to do Ocho that's crazy Brad Allen
Starting point is 00:17:13 and the fact that he did check in you know what and he also did Chiefs Packers and we know how that played out down the stretch remember they called understand roughness on Patrick Mahomes when he was inbounds. And then they missed the blatant pass interference.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And they missed the blatant pass interference on Armond St. Brown. The dude grabbed him and he got there before the ball had gotten there. Yeah. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:38 It's going to be very interesting. I'm anxious to see Brad Allen explains this because Jared Allen tells Taylor Decker to go to the official. He leaves the huddle. He talking to the referee who is supposed to let him know. That's good. Oh, that's not a good look because, you know, ideas. They're already talking about, oh, it's scripted everything.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Oh, yeah. And you know what I'm saying? The one thing that and that's why the one thing that you can have is professional sports. You can't, you can't have it make people think it's WWE. Right. Where the ending has already been scripted. Well, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:16 when I, when I think about it and I think of the game, think about the game of football or sports in general, right. It's hard to script things like this. You got 11 guys on the field you can't have everybody aligned on a certain all i need to do this way i just need the official all i need i don't need 11 guys i just need one official right didn't you see how tim donahue did
Starting point is 00:18:36 it in an nba he didn't have a whole lot of receivers in cahoots i just need to throw a flag at the most inopportune time you see how you see how that that flag changed the dynamic I'm not saying that's what happened but I'm saying you see how they can do that okay I see where you're going with it what you say right right
Starting point is 00:19:06 right right no that's not you you can't assume he can't assume that's crazy because they brought two linemen they brought a lineman in running onto the field. So he thought he possibly thought that 70 was reporting,
Starting point is 00:19:31 which would have made 68. They had that confused. Yes. Because it was two linemen now. And they look like they were unbalanced. Because. Right. Right. Let me see the formation. Just go to the formation. because they right right
Starting point is 00:19:45 let me see the formation just go to the formation let me see his formation alright that's crazy because I want to see did he go unbalanced or was it a natural formation that left side might have been might have been over
Starting point is 00:20:02 over That left side might have been over. So, yeah, I just think the thing, Ocho, it was CeeDee Lamb had to have an outstanding day because Michael Gallup got a lot of cardio in. The guy started the game, didn't get a target or a catch. And he has the eighth highest cap hit. Yeah, that's unbalanced. It's a normal formation. You sure the receiver was off the ball on that side, wasn't he? He was.
Starting point is 00:20:37 He X, he got to be on the ball. Okay, okay. That's the X. You know, Z is off the ball because normally the tight end's on the ball. Right. And if the tight end's in the flex position off the ball, now the Z has to step up. Right. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:20:52 You right, you right, you right. So you gotta have six guys on the line. You have to have six guys on the line of scrimmage in order for it to be an eligible formation. So normally it's five down linemen and the X receiver. The Z receiver is off the ball.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Unless the tight end backs up off the ball, then the Z receiver can go on. It's going to be very, very interesting. Ocho, this is the 10th game where he's been held 20 or fewer yards, Michael Gallup. Remember at the beginning of the year, I said he didn't look the same last year. And I said, okay, it's going to be interesting to see
Starting point is 00:21:29 because the second year is normally when the player looks like the original player before the injury. He doesn't look the same, Mocho. He doesn't look the same, obviously. I don't think the opportunities are coming his way for him to really get into rhythm and as as he like i don't think the trust in in in the trust in which deck has to have and gallop to be able to get open consistently and always be there for him i don't i don't think it's there like it like
Starting point is 00:21:58 it once was when he when he was healthy uh there were some plays that i do remember last year in that in that first round. He'll make a tough catch every once in a while. Every once in a while, but we need consistency, especially the predicament and the situation that the Cowboys are going to be in. We need consistent play, especially
Starting point is 00:22:17 at the number two position. We need consistent play from him. You traded Amari. You traded Amari, so Gallup was supposed to replace Amari production. I mean, he would he is capable of doing so, but I think
Starting point is 00:22:34 the injury, it hampered that. He was capable of doing so, but I think the injury hampered that. You know, it's very difficult to come back from ACL unless your last name Peterson. Adrian Peterson is one of the few that came back. The way medicine is now, guys come back from ACL unless your last name Peterson. Adrian Peterson is one of the few that came back. The way medicine is now, guys come back from ACL.
Starting point is 00:22:50 It's medicine, but mentally it's different. If you look at guys that have ACL injuries, you look at them, look at how they walk. Look at how they walk. You're never really ever the same. You'll never be your true self. Your true self and obviously you have to get over
Starting point is 00:23:06 that mental hurdle after getting injured too, willing to use that leg or that side of your body as opposed to the way you used to when you knew there was nothing wrong with you. I think, like you said,
Starting point is 00:23:18 it's more mental than anything because we see with the way medicine is now and the guys, the way they rehab. I mean, guys are coming back. I mean, yeah, that used to be a year. And like, I'm willing to give guys grace and say, OK, the first year back, that's kind of the rehab year, even though you're still playing. But that next year, you should be 100 percent.
Starting point is 00:23:36 You should be the player you were before you had that injury because you're completely healed now, Ocho. Everything is functioning. Everything is functioning. It's not that easy, huh? It's not that easy. Especially, listen, I've never had any injuries, so I'm really not the one
Starting point is 00:23:50 to be sitting here talking about ACLs. I'm just talking about from experience and knowing those who I've been around, those that I've played with, and seeing them
Starting point is 00:23:58 go through ACL injuries. They go through other soft tissue injuries and breaks, for that matter, and trying to come back or coming back and playing a year or two years later and they would tell me and i would always ask you know how you feel it's like man i'm not the same i'm out there trying but i'm having to compensate and overwork other areas to make sure i don't hurt myself again well i could understand that especially the first year back. And so that's why
Starting point is 00:24:25 I tend to give guys grace that first year. Because although you're back, I'm saying that you're still figuring your body out, okay? Man, because it's just like anything. Anytime you come back for an injury, am I going to be the same? Am I the same player? Once I get that hit, once I run that comeback,
Starting point is 00:24:42 once I take that, absorb that blow, I'm like, man, I'm okay. Yeah, yeah, I can do this. I can do this. But I just think the thing is, Ocho, they're going to have to make some decisions because he has the eighth highest cap here. And remember, they gave
Starting point is 00:24:58 him the contract even after he had torn the ACL. So they believe that he could come back and be what he once was or they wouldn't have given him that contract. Because when you get a contract, Ocho, yeah, I get it. I'm giving you a contract
Starting point is 00:25:13 based on what I believe you can do because I've already paid you for what you've done. It wasn't like I'm trying, well, I ain't getting paid. I just want to show what I can do and they're going to pay me moving forward. No, they're paying you all along. Now, moving forward over the next three, four or five years. This is what we can we believe you can be. And this is the value that we're placing on that.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Now, you can negotiate up or down or however you dare try to go down. You try to go up. But that's what they're trying to do. But it's going to be very interesting, Ojo, to see what happens with this call because we've seen now a couple of years ago, we saw Hitchens, I think it was Hitchens, that run over the tight end and they picked the flag up because this is the second time something has happened shady between the Lions and the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:26:02 I've never seen somebody, the guy ran the guy over, his blatant pass interference, and they picked the flag up. So I'm sure Detroit is like, man, this is deja vu. This bull job is happening all over again. So I'm sure the Detroit Lions fans that's in the chat, they'll say, yep, I remember. I remember when Hitchens ran over the guy and they picked the flag up. It was a big night for the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:26:25 I'm sure they didn't want to lose this game. Jimmy Johnson goes into the ring of honor. Very, very well. Very short career. Five years. Two Super Bowls. Yeah. And I read the thing where Jimmy was, Jimmy, Jerry was saying he and Jimmy really didn't have any problems about,
Starting point is 00:26:45 you know, bro. Ain't nobody fired. No back to back Superbowl winning coach. No back to back NBA champion. No back to back major league manager that wins back to back championship. And you fired him. Emmitt Smith had just,
Starting point is 00:27:00 you know, do realize that Emmitt is 24. Michael is 26. Troy is 27. I 26. Troy is 27. I mean, Troy is 27. No, Emmett is 24. Michael is 20, probably 26. Troy is like 26.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Imagine, imagine if Eagles hadn't gotten in the way. Imagine if Jerry Jones hadn't gotten in his own way and allowed Jimmy Johnson just maybe not to be the face but be the coach and he was there for a few more years with that same team intact how many Super Bowls do you think they would have had think about it
Starting point is 00:27:38 oh okay what they're saying is that Dan Campbell just said the explanation was 70 reported and 2 people can't report. John Perry, ESPN officiating analyst, says that that's wrong. Two players can report as eligible. Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Now, Dan Campbell said that's the explanation they gave him. Right. But John Perry, the ESPN officiate who was an official in the nfl so that people can report who can brad allen brad allen i'm anxious to hear what he has to say when the pool of reporters let's make see if we can get that because he has to give when a special in a situation like this yeah yeah because remember the super bowl when the guy came forward and says look what we noticed is that the guy came forward and said, look, what we noticed is that the guy tried to, you know, Juju
Starting point is 00:28:27 goes inside and when he tries to make a move to uncover away, the guy we saw the tug. So he had to explain why they threw the flag especially in that critical of a moment. I got a question. Go ahead. If number 68 and 70 both
Starting point is 00:28:44 report, would both of them actually be eligible to go out and catch a pass along with the receivers that are already lined up? Yep. That's a first for me. And I've been playing for years. That is a first for me. Ocho, I don't know if you remember this,
Starting point is 00:29:04 but what the Patriots was doing, they were taking, making offensive linemen ineligible, but making the running backs eligible in the playoff game against the Ravens. And the NFL did that. They said, you're violating the spirit. That's not what the rule was intended for.
Starting point is 00:29:21 And so they did away with that. And so that's what the coaches do. They try to find a way to skirt. Okay. They didn't say that we couldn't let's make them pay until they say we can't let's go ahead let's let's we can okay right because it's easy you know what it's easier to apologize than to ask for permission again if you know this old joke. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got you. You know what? I didn't know. Plausible deniability. That's the term they like to use.
Starting point is 00:29:51 I didn't know. So the Cowboys win 20-19. Dak Prescott had a monster day. He was 26-38, 345, two touchdowns, one interception. C.D. Lamb, 17 targets, targets 13 catches 227 yards and uh one touchdown and the second longest pass uh passing touchdown pass play touchdown in cowboy history only behind the dandy don meredith to uh bullet bob hayes of 95 yards speaking of that 90 was was it 92? It's 92 yards, right? 92, yes. Speaking of that, what was 55 doing on the whiff when he had an easy safety? You see, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:30:31 You see, he tried to get the ball out. If you sack him, the ball might come out because he doesn't see you. You think he was trying to get the ball? He tried to forearm him because, see, that's the side Dak got the ball to. Right. So if I, the ball's going to come out. Get him – just put him on the – see, sometimes you do try to do too much. He will.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Overthinking. I thought when I watched the replay and I saw it, obviously, on Twitter, I said, well, damn. He closed his eyes. And he out of control. Yeah. He out of control. He just running.
Starting point is 00:31:03 All Dak did was just move his shoulder. That's it. And you missed completely. Missed completely. That means you're totally out of control. He out there like a blind dog in a meat house, Ocho. The man right there, he can smell Dak. He out there like a what?
Starting point is 00:31:18 Blind dog in a meat house. You smell the meat, but you can't see a damn thing. So there are going to be a lot of questions i think there are a lot more questions than answers uh from this ball game but give the cowboys credit they hold on and win at home um both teams are now 11 and 5 cowboys win 2019 after the lions missed on three two poor conversions in the ballgame to take a 21-20 lead. So give those guys, give the Cowboys credit. They found ways to make enough plays at the end, but we'll see. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:31:57 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm excited. I'm excited for this next topic. Allen is looking at it at the point and pointing out Skipper Decker is obviously trying to tell him he's the one reporting replay showed Allen telling Campbell it was 70 who reported and Campbell screams
Starting point is 00:32:16 no it wasn't Campbell said he gave the official a heads up pregame slow-mo replay shows Skipper saying I didn't say a effing word. Clearly they plan and they practiced it. Brad Allen, you don't get to announce.
Starting point is 00:32:33 You have to listen. And a lot of times, and you notice this Ocho, if you remember in the Superbowl, Sean Payne told the official, be on alert. We're coming with the on side. Right. Let themton told the official, be on alert. We're coming with the onside. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Let them know ahead of time. Let them know. Normally, when you got a trick play or a gadget play, they'll give the officials the heads up to let them know. Okay. Right. We got a double. We got a double. Hey, we got a lateral here coming.
Starting point is 00:33:00 We got a lateral. So be on the lookout. It will be a lateral. It's not going to be a forward pass. Right. Let them know before the game. That's crazy. I mean, that's... You see what they did, see? And the way they
Starting point is 00:33:14 did it is that you send two linemen over there. So they're thinking, oh, so 70's over there, and he said, I thought it was 70. 70 didn't say anything. It was Decker talking to you oh so now you're the ref you're not paying attention
Starting point is 00:33:30 not paying attention because I gotta call some confusion because the Cowboys don't know they just see two linemen over there so they don't know which one is eligible and which one isn't right and normally doesn't the ref have to announce that so and so is eligible right they normally but I think they did away with that because now you're And normally, doesn't the ref have to announce that so-and-so is eligible, right?
Starting point is 00:33:51 They normally, but I think they did away with that because now you're alerting the defense. See, you know what? I ain't played in so long. I just remember them always alerting and letting them know that that certain number or the certain line was an eligible receiver. Yeah. That's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah. That's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah. He said,
Starting point is 00:34:07 Campbell also said that he ran this by them before the game. It's pretty clear. Brad Allen saw Skipper coming in and just assumed he was the player that was going to be reporting. And the fact that Dan Campbell had that in his back pocket, knowing that probably wasn't going to be for a two point conversion, but just had that playing in his back pocket and knew they weren't running it be for a two-point conversion, but just had that play in his back pocket and knew they weren't running it at some
Starting point is 00:34:28 point in the game. That's crazy. A play like that, that's the play that I'm going to end something. So you got this play on a fourth down, a two-point conversion, that's the play. Because I
Starting point is 00:34:43 got to have a play in my back pocket. That's the play. Yeah. Because I got to have a play in my back pocket. That they don't know. And they haven't seen it. Did you see that double screen? That double screen? That, um... Who was that?
Starting point is 00:34:56 That Jordan Lewis picked off? Yeah. That wasn't nothing but film studying right away. Formation recognition. That's the only way you know the jump. How the hell you jump in the screen
Starting point is 00:35:08 and they fake the screen going the complete opposite way before they even came back to the opposite side? That ain't none but film study. Let me tell you how he used to run the screen. Alex Gill, the offensive line coach, rest in peace, Alex,
Starting point is 00:35:22 used to always say bad things happen when you run the screen outside the numbers. That's why you teach them to stay inside the numbers. You get outside the numbers, somebody can come clean your clock. You get outside the numbers, somebody
Starting point is 00:35:36 going to come and duck in because you want to be inside because the linemen. The linemen are not going to be way outside the numbers. Where are the linemen going to be? You have to realize they got to catch, pretend like they're going to block. Now they got to throw and go. So now you're hoping, now you're inside the numbers. Now
Starting point is 00:35:52 your tackle picks him off. Now you got the guard looking to peel back. Is anybody chasing? I'm going to get in his way because I can't block behind the plate like we used to. Remember, that's the old crackback block. I'm just looking back just to get in his way. And there's nothing nobody's chasing okay i'm looking to the inside because i know somebody could possibly be coming from the inside so that's
Starting point is 00:36:12 why you set the screen up especially from a running back that's coming out of the backfield you stay inside the numbers bad thing go back and look at it and see where he was and you'll understand ladies and gentlemen what i'm talking about uh Ocho, we're going to get, this thing is taking a leg of its own. The Russell Wilson caused the benching a low blow. The Broncos could, the Broncos handling of Russell's situation. Some people have said
Starting point is 00:36:35 the handling of Russ' situation makes free agent not want to go there. Free agent's going to go because if they're offering the most money, they're going. Yeah. Listen, players always go where the money go. Thank you. they offer the most money the money yeah oh you listen players always players always going where the money go thank you players are always going where the money is uh let's let's stop that but again i said it when we talked about it on the last show yep it was a bunch of bullshit yep it was a bunch of bullshit for one the way sean payton acted when
Starting point is 00:36:59 he berated russell on the sideline i think he wanted he was he was trying to bait him yeah we're trying to bait him now and. He was trying to bait him. He was trying to bait him and trying to get him to react. If I could just get him to react, if I could rattle him, and here goes another reason on why the benching is coming. When all along,
Starting point is 00:37:15 it had been planned already for the simple fact that I had no idea until the story came out. Well, we came to me, we just beat the Kansas City Chiefs. What you mean you want me to remove the injury clause in my contract?
Starting point is 00:37:28 And then the part that I don't like is Sean Payton saying, well, I don't know anything about that. Sean, you have total control, bro. Come on now. Why do they do that? They're paying you $18 million for a reason now. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Ocho. Had they gone, even after they had beaten kansas city and says if you do not remove this injury this injury clause from your contract we're gonna bench you but they let him win another game and another game and another game and they didn't bench it now russ has struggled the last couple of games. So you can make the argument, say, well, I'm benching him because he's playing bad. But no, you didn't bench him when he was playing good. So if the injury clause was that big of a deal, why not go ahead and bench him in October? Why not go ahead and bench him at the beginning of December?
Starting point is 00:38:19 I mean, beginning of November. Why you wait till now? Yeah. See, that's the problem. See, even though you can make the case that he, and Yeah. See, that's the problem. See, even though you can make the case that he, and I don't believe that's the case, but you can make the case that he's benching him because
Starting point is 00:38:31 he's playing bad. All the people here is that you told him that if he didn't remove the clause, I'm going to bench you. You're going to bench him. And you didn't bench him when you was winning one, two, three or four games. So the injury couldn't have been that big of a deal. It only became a deal once you started to lose yeah and i think i think on on their on their end they were trying to see as far as the turnaround goes and they were on a winning
Starting point is 00:38:55 streak i'm not sure what the playoff implications might have been for the broncos during that time during that period you know around october yeah uh now, I think they wanted to wait and see. And knowing Russell and knowing the kind of person he is, he's not the type that ownership would have to worry about him playing hurt or saying, oh, there's something wrong with me, just to make sure that injury clause or that money, he gets it. They know he's not even like that. They know he's not built like that.
Starting point is 00:39:22 That's not his character. So there's really nothing for him to worry about, which is why, you know what, we can go ahead. He's not his character. So there's really nothing for him to worry about, which is why, you know what? We can go ahead. He's safe. He's safe. We ain't got no work.
Starting point is 00:39:28 We can go ahead and play him anyway and see what happens and see where we go. Mm-hmm. Uh, but this is what we do know. We know this guy leaked from somebody on that side. The Broncos, they always do that. They,
Starting point is 00:39:42 they do that on purpose. Cause you know, first of all, Joe, the Broncos are not going to look leak this because this makes them look terrible. Makes them look awful. Right, right. So, and my thing is, look, Sean, I believe, I don't believe Sean ever liked Russ.
Starting point is 00:40:00 I don't believe he didn't look. It's not his quarterback. Right, yeah. It's not his quarterback. He wasn't there when he came there. Ownership as well. Right. Yeah. It's not his quarterback. He wasn't there when, when he came there ownership as well. Right. They didn't bring Russ in.
Starting point is 00:40:09 They didn't do the deal. They, but they were in the process. They could have held up on giving Russ this contract. Russ had another year on his contract. The reason why Russ left Seattle is because Pete weren't going to do this deal. Right. And so his agent started leaking.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Oh, I'll go to Chicago. I'll go to these places. I get it. That places. And then when it adds rust, that wasn't true. All the while that was true.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Now, Seattle is not going to do the deal. Okay. Where can we go and extrapolate as much draft capital as we can to first round of the second round, the third round of players, the Broncos, because the broncos
Starting point is 00:40:46 all of a sudden were starting to get desperate they hadn't been to the playoffs since the last one to soup bowl 2015 the beginning of 20 right so now they're starting to get desperate we need a quarterback we need a quarterback and so they give this up for us but in the process of doing this i mean he said things russ don't need to be kissing babies. You never told Drew that. Think about what Drew is in the community. Drew is beloved in New Orleans. How did he become that?
Starting point is 00:41:12 He had to get out into the community and to ingratiate himself. But you never told Drew Brees that. Kissing the babies. He never told Drew Brees that he needs to stop kissing babies. He never said that. And I commend Drew
Starting point is 00:41:28 for ingratiating himself in the community. Take the head off. Kudos. Yeah. He's been a staple. He's donated money out of his own pocket.
Starting point is 00:41:36 His foundation has been sensational in the city of New Orleans. So now for you to say that, why are you worried about what I'm doing? Your job is to coach. As long as it's not taking any away from my study time, as long as it's not taking any away from
Starting point is 00:41:50 my game time, it's not like I'm kissing babies during the game. I couldn't get the playoff because I was kissing the baby. You see? Now, all the time, Sean Payton make it seem like they was going to the playoffs every year because there have been some times that Sean Payton was going 7-9 and he wasn't yelling and kicking and screaming and drew breezes for you. You know, I think Sean Payton make it seem like they were going to the playoffs every year because there have been some times that Sean Payton was going seven to nine.
Starting point is 00:42:07 And he wasn't yelling and kicking and screaming in Drew Brees' face. No. You know, I think, you know, I would hate to say it's personal, but I just think it almost seemed personal with the way he was acting. Yeah. Soon as he got there, soon as Sean Payton got there, obviously through the media, you hear some of the things he was saying, some of the things that Russ is not going to be able to do as opposed to what he did when he was in Seattle. Right. And he was undermining him, undercutting him, trying to let him know he's a big dog.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Yeah, he's a new sheriff in town. And that's very, very unfamiliar territory for a head coach to do as quarterback like that. Season ain't even goddamn started yet. He's trying to with that type. He's trying to come in, Ocho, and trying to say, there's a new sheriff in town.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I'm in control. Like, you know, Captain Phillips. When they took the boat over and he said, Captain Irish, look at me. Look at me. I'm the captain. Right, right. So now Sean Payton is saying, you know what you had?
Starting point is 00:43:04 Look, Russ, look at me. I'm the captain now. Right. You know what I hate, Ocho? See, it takes a really special type of person to have power and not to abuse it. Now, if you want to if you really want to know the measure of a person giving power, giving power and see how he or she behaves. That and money. See, but see, here's the thing with money. See, money doesn't change you. Money makes you more what you already are. If you're a jerk, you become an asshole when you get money.
Starting point is 00:43:36 See, money doesn't change people. Like, oh, money, he changed. No, he wasn't. He been like that, but he didn't have the capital. He didn't have the resources to really show you who he was. Yeah. People that are cool. They've been like that even before they got money.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Yeah. But it didn't change them. Money makes you more what you already are. Power corrupts. Absolute power. Absolutely corrupts. Yeah. And you see, I hate when people have to constantly remind you.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Okay. You know, I could have your job, bro. bro i know you over me i know you the boss you don't have to constantly remind me that you can have my job because it's gonna come a point in time i'm gonna say you can take this job and you you know what with it well you don't have to constantly remind me i know you're the head coach i know you're the general manager i know you do the hiring and firing. And I'm sure there are people I'm talking about NFL terms, but I'm sure there are people out there in the chat that have been in
Starting point is 00:44:32 situations where you have a boss constantly remind you, I'm your boss. I'm over you. You know I can do this. I know I can do that. Yeah, most definitely. People that work in the corporate world, people that work nine to fives, people that work whatever business it is that you're in, people that have power,
Starting point is 00:44:49 they always abuse it. Sometimes money, like you said, doesn't even have to come into play in just the fact that you have a certain position and you're in a position of power and you abuse it all the time, obviously belittling, whether it be coworkers, whether it be people below you because you're in that position. But one thing that always happens is those tables always turn at some point.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Those tables always turn at some point all the time. And I like the fact about what you just said. Money, money doesn't change people. It just allows them to
Starting point is 00:45:21 be seen. True self. Now you get to become your authentic self. Yeah, I like that. You get to become a money changer. But I know he didn't. He been a jerk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:32 He just became an asshole once he got money. He or she became an asshole, got money. Yeah, I like that. So what would that... If I was cheap before I got money and then I got money and became cheaper, what does that really make me? You always cheat.
Starting point is 00:45:47 You see money didn't change you. See, people thought once you got money, you go start spending. You was always miserly. You were always frugal. You was always thrifty. You see money didn't change you.
Starting point is 00:45:57 You are what you are. Money makes you more about what you already are. Okay. If you think about Ocho already are. You see? All right. Think about it, Ocho. If you got a problem, money exacerbates that problem. You know what? I used to smoke a little weed, and then you branch out.
Starting point is 00:46:14 You go to the heavier stuff. Because now, you don't have a little 5 and 10, a little joint, a little 5 and 10 bag. Now you can go get some OZ. Now you can get your pound. You see that, Ocho? Remember, guys in college when they drinking that bootleg stuff, that Shaper, the Mickey's, they drinking
Starting point is 00:46:32 that Rock Good, Everclear. Now you get some money, you go get the good stuff, don't you, Ocho? And then you get it in abundance. You see? Yeah. It didn't change you. That's what you were. You just didn't have the means to live how you really wanted to live you see in power it's like a it's like a parent to a child you have all
Starting point is 00:46:53 the power it takes a special type of person not to abuse that child you see oh yeah yeah you see yeah i like you know people like with shannon can, I like to give analogies and that people can like understand. And you see, sometimes you see people that abuse their child because they have all the, all the authority. Yeah. And then you take you to like, oh, I can do this. You can, but why would you? That's the thing. To be able, look look i was the captain i knew i had certain types of i had
Starting point is 00:47:27 certain types of privileges but to have those privileges and not to abuse them use them it takes a special also it takes a special type of a person to have certain types of power and not abuse them we see that in a lot of different areas that people have powers and they not abuse them. We see that in a lot of different areas that people have powers and they'll abuse them because why? I am in a role of authority. And so I hate this for us. Like I said, I believe
Starting point is 00:47:58 had they just went ahead and said, okay, you know, hey, we're going to bench you. We wouldn't have known. Hey, you could have been oh when they started one and four that was the perfect time time yeah so i guess they didn't think he could get hurt when they're one and four they start to win it's like okay we got a chance now you start to lose again now this is the opportunity so my thing he said they came to
Starting point is 00:48:24 after go back look at the game when when did they beat my thing, he said they came to after, go back, look at the game. When did they beat Kansas City? He said they beat Kansas City, they go into the bye, they came to him, said if he doesn't do something about the clause in his contract, they're going to bench him. What was that? Was that November? It had to be.
Starting point is 00:48:41 I think it was October if I'm not mistaken. October 29th. Yeah, yeah. So you go all of November. You don't think Russ could get hurt then. You go down there the entire December. Now with two games to go, you say, hey, Russ might get hurt.
Starting point is 00:48:58 So what? Do they got different? So what? Were they not playing? Maybe they were AI players over there. And so it's like computer generated. So they can't follow Russ. They can't hit Russ.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Russ couldn't injure himself then. But he can now. You see? It's a bad excuse for one. Management knows what they're doing. You know what you're doing. Why not just be honest? Why not just be honest?
Starting point is 00:49:19 Listen, we sit your ass down because we don't want you to be able to get this money. Right. That's it. Period. You know, just dry and cut. Save the people the whole we benching them because of this.
Starting point is 00:49:30 And oh, you're not playing well. But what? Why even lie? Right. And you got Sean Payton coming out saying, well, anything concerning or due to the. I don't know anything about. I don't know anything about that has to do with contracts. Like, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:49:42 What are we doing, man? What are we doing, man? What are we doing? And I said, somebody, I saw a tweet. They said Russell Wilson to the, I said the Steelers. I said the Steelers. I said, you got Russell Wilson. He is a perennial
Starting point is 00:49:57 playoff quarterback. He's won the Super Bowl. Going to the Pittsburgh Steelers that has what? A perennial playoff head coach. Steelers that has what? A perennial playoff head coach, a coach that has won Super Bowls. Well, shit, that's a motherfucking mask made in goddamn heaven. You know, in the standard of the Steelers, the excellence in which they have always upheld for many of years, Super Bowls. Why not have Russell come and play quarterback?
Starting point is 00:50:24 Well, the Falcons. It makes sense to me. The Falcons can use a quarterback with Drake London. Don't do that to him. I love Drake London, but we talk about a team. We talk about making a run for another Lombardi. Why not put Russell on a team where I think, who's more Super Bowl ready?

Starting point is 00:54:07 Because now you're naming teams where everything is on his shoulders He got to carry everything Well, Ocho, if you go to Pittsburgh, you got to carry everything Because you said they're ready to compete for a Super Bowl So you're saying the quarterback is the missing piece Is it not? But I'm saying Is it not? So let me ask you a question because you said they're ready to compete for a Super Bowl. So you're saying the quarterback is the missing piece. Is it not? But I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Is it not? So let me ask you a question. What's the difference between he and Aaron Rodgers? What was going to be on Aaron Rodgers' shoulders in the Jets? Because we said we got a Super Bowl defense. We got Crystal. We got Garrett Wilson. We got players to go make plays.
Starting point is 00:54:43 Right, right, right. We got Brees Hall. Is everything not on his shoulders? Yeah, but Aaron Rodgers can shoulder that load. I think Aaron Rodgers can shoulder that load. He's one of the few players. He's one of the best all time.
Starting point is 00:54:58 He ain't shouldered nothing. His shoulder's going to be in the sling. Yeah, that too. To me, it just makes much more sense As opposed to the other places You know Atlanta everything is on Russ Like he has to do it all He has to do it all and then you
Starting point is 00:55:13 Who was the other team you said Patriots Man hell nah How about this here what about Minnesota Justin Jefferson Madison Osborne. Hawkinson.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Even though Hawkinson towards ACL, he'll be... You said Addison already, huh? Yeah, Addison. Yeah, Jordan Addison. Man. Now I look at you. Now you're talking.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Now you're talking. I like that. But listen, I also like goddamn Pickens and Deontay Johnson and Najee Harris. With that defense that the Steelers have I also like goddamn Pickens and Deontay Johnson and Najee Harris. With that defense that the Steelers have. You like him better than Jefferson?
Starting point is 00:55:49 Which one you like better than Jefferson? Deontay Johnson or Pickens? Which one you like better than Jefferson? So hold on. Justin Jefferson and Addison versus Pickens and Deontay Johnson? It's Justin Jefferson. It's Addison. It's K.J. Osborne also.
Starting point is 00:56:05 They got three. And they got Hawkinson. K.J. Osborne also. They got three. And they got Hawkinson. K.J. Osborne, number 17, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. With the dreads. Boy, that boy nice, boy. And they got Hawkinson, a tight end, who had like 90 catches before he got injured.
Starting point is 00:56:15 He just got hurt, man. Yeah. Damn. But he'll be back next year. Yeah. Hey, them boys nice. Hey, them boys nice. So who would you give the edge to?
Starting point is 00:56:26 Let's say if Russ had a choice. You would you go to the Steelers? You go to Minnesota? Minnesota. Because guess what? Wait, but Kirk Cousins coming back next year. Kirk Cousins calling the contract up. He ain't come back.
Starting point is 00:56:36 But anyway, check this out, Ocho. Check this out, Ocho. Plus, I get nine games in a dome. Detroit's a dome and I'm a dome. In Pittsburgh, you outside. In Pittsburgh, it's weather. Baltimore, it's weather. Cincinnati, it's weather.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Cleveland, it's weather. Well, you know, it don't get that bad just the last month. December, you know, that's football weather. It ain't that bad. It ain't that bad. My home game, it don't never get bad in the dome. You ever seen it snow in the dome? Rain in the dome? Rain in the dome?
Starting point is 00:57:05 Wind in the dome? Yeah. Wait a minute. Okay, what's in that division? You got the Vikings. You got the Vikings, Chicago, Lions, and the Packers. I don't know. You want to deal with Lamar?
Starting point is 00:57:23 You want to deal with Lamar? You want to deal with Burrow? Listen, to me with Lamar? You want to deal with Burrow? Listen, to me, as a competitor, as a competitor that I am, I would like to be in the AFC North, the toughest division in football. So let me ask you a question. What trophy do you get to put on your mound and say, we won the toughest championship ever? None.
Starting point is 00:57:40 I just want to play against the best. That's all. Oh, they got good players in the AFC North? Yeah, they do. They do. I'm just to play against the best. That's all. Oh, they got good players. They got good players in the NFC North. Yeah, they do. They do. I'm just saying just for me, I'm just, listen, I'm hypothetically speaking, I'm not playing, I'm not a quarterback. I'm just saying I would like to be in the AFC North. I know times have changed, times are different now. You can't even play for, they playing two hand touch today anyway. But Minnesota would be a luck, though. To me, I like what you're saying, but I would prefer and like to see Russ with the Steelers.
Starting point is 00:58:10 And this is coming from a bangle, unfortunately. Player bonuses. We see players getting their bonuses. We saw Josh Allen, Joe Flacco, Dee Hop, some of the other guys. We just picked a few. Dee Hop with 61 catches for 939 yards. Hopkins has made 500,000 per yardage.
Starting point is 00:58:28 If he reaches 950, that escalates to 750. If he gets 65 catches, he'll make another quarter of a mil. Joe Mixon with nine total touchdowns, eight rushing, one receiving. He needs one more to make a quarter of a million. Like it. I don't have a problem. I don't have a problem with Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco's getting off his couch.
Starting point is 00:58:49 You know, he can't make $17, $18, $19 million. So you put in incentives. Okay, you win a game, we'll give you $75,000. You take it to the playoffs, we'll get another this. D-Hop. D-Hop had to take a pay cut, you know, one year. So let me get some incentives in there. Joe Mixon. Remember, Joe Mixon took a a pay cut, you know, one year. So let me get some incentives in there. Joe Mixon.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Remember, Joe Mixon took a big pay cut to stay in Cincinnati. Okay, Joe, we'll get an opportunity to make some of that money back. Now, Josh Allen, I got a problem with that. What you mean you get a million dollars, you get to the Super Bowl, you win the Super Bowl? Bro, you making a quarter of a billion. You should do that. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:59:23 If Joe Black don't have that in his contract. It is a nice incentive, though. It's a nice incentive. Ocho, you making a quarter of a billion. What shouldn't you do? You should do all of that. Right. I mean, you got to put it in there.
Starting point is 00:59:36 You got to put it in there. Let me ask you a question then. If I got to put these incentives in there, what am I paying you a quarter of a billion for then? You know what? I think whether they're paying him that, what am I paying you a quarter of a billion for then? You know what? I think whether they're paying him that, whether they're paying that million dollar incentive anyway, his end goal as a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills is to get them that Lombardi. That's why I gave you a quarter of a billion because I believe you can do that.
Starting point is 00:59:58 You think I would have gave you a quarter of a billion if I didn't think you could do that? Right. You think they would give a quarter of a billion to Trevor Simeon? Why? Because they don't believe you can do that. You think they would give a quarter of a billion to Trevor Simeon? Why? Because they don't believe you can do that. You think they would give a quarter of a billion to Zach Wilson? Why? Yeah. Don't talk about Zach like that.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I understand. I understand what you mean. Oh, baby, thank you. When I was, uh, early in my career, I had, you know, I was seventh round draft pick. So, you know, I had incentives. I had incentives put in my contract. But once I became, no, once I became what I was seventh-round draft pick. So I had incentives put in my contract. But once I became what I was, no, I don't need no incentives. I'm supposed to lead the team in receiving.
Starting point is 01:00:33 I'm supposed to lead the team in catches. I'm supposed to lead the team in receiving yards. We're supposed to make the playoffs. I believe I'm bad. No, I don't want no 50,000 or 100,000 for making the Pro Bowl. I'm the best tight end in football. I'm supposed to make the Pro Bowl.
Starting point is 01:00:51 I'm supposed to be first team all pro. Hold on, hold on. You saying you don't want the incentive? No. Oh, no, you tripping. No. Oh, hell no, you tripping. I want my incentives.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Give me my money. I want my incentives. Give me my money. I want my incentive. Oh, you want all your money up front. I want my incentives. Give me my money. I want my incentives. Give me my money. I want my incentive. Oh, you want all your money up front. I want my money. Give me my money. Because all those things incentive,
Starting point is 01:01:12 because you're going to take it from somewhere else. You're going to take it. See, you make me think you give me incentives, but you took it out of my base salary anyway. Because I could have gotten an extra $300,000, $400,000. You say, well, this is what we'll give you. And then when you make me think, oh, I'm going to get this, but I'm going to get this.
Starting point is 01:01:25 No. You think y'all slick? Yeah. Okay. I see where you're going. I see where you're going. I see where you're going. Because they are pulling it
Starting point is 01:01:31 from somewhere else trying to pretend like it's extra money. Extra. It's my money to begin with. Yeah. Okay. I got you.
Starting point is 01:01:39 I got you. I got you. I got you. You're right. You're right. I don't know why I let that slip my mind not really remembering that
Starting point is 01:01:45 if they are giving you incentives the incentives are coming from somewhere else coming from what they were already going to pay you any goddamn way it's like Ocho
Starting point is 01:01:52 you drop $100 I find it I give you $50 back oh man appreciate that man appreciate that oh man good looking out
Starting point is 01:02:00 it was already your money I only gave you half of what you were supposed to get anyway. Yeah, you're right. Georgia dominates Florida State in the Orange Bowl 60-point route. Last year, remember, in the college football championship game, they beat TCU 65-7. Follow that up with a 63-3 route of Florida State. It's also the largest
Starting point is 01:02:25 margin of victory of the AP top five opponent by the AP in the poll era. And the poll era goes back to 1936. Yeah. Everybody was complaining. Everybody from Florida State was complaining when they didn't make the playoffs. And obviously, with me not
Starting point is 01:02:41 watching as much college football as I should, I really didn't understand it, but I did know that the quarterback was out, the starting quarterback was hurt. Yeah, a lot of guys, a lot of guys sat out. The best defensive lineman, the best wide receiver, a couple of the running backs. So if all those players that sat out played today,
Starting point is 01:03:02 would it have made a difference? I don't believe they beat Georgia. I don't believe. They're probably not 63-3. It would have been a closer game then. They'd probably lose by 21, not 60. You think so? Yeah. But they didn't have that quarterback.
Starting point is 01:03:17 The starting quarterback's hurt. They lose by 21-28. I mean, we'll never know. The committee is the happiest because the committee says, see, but they say, well, if we don't, who knows? Maybe Michigan is not as talented as Georgia.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Maybe all of our players play in the college football playoff. We'll never know. But the college football committee gets to say, see, told y'all they were unworthy. It is what it is, Ocho. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:03:47 Did you see this, Ocho? One more question before we leave. A lot of these players opting out and not willing to play in the bowl game. Like, do you have a problem with players doing that that are not day ones? Especially if I got a first-round grade. I'm talking about your day ones. If I got a first-round grade. I'm talking about your day ones. If I got a first-round grade on me, Ochoa. I understand.
Starting point is 01:04:09 You out of there. If you look at Bryce Young. Bryce Young played last year against Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl, and he was a projected number one. I mean, normally Alabama players, Georgia players. I don't think Brock Bowers. I don't think he played today. Did Brock Bowers play today?
Starting point is 01:04:24 I don't think he played today. But for the most part, Alabama and Georgia players. I don't think Brock Bowers. I don't think he played today. Did Brock Bowers play today? I don't think he played today. But for the most part, Alabama and Georgia players normally play. I think this is the first time that I didn't see Brock Bowers because if you look at all those number one picks that they had on the defense over the last two years, those guys all played. Alabama players normally play. But you're going to get a lot of this. So now when you go to 12 teams
Starting point is 01:04:45 now that's more games there's right at least when you only got four teams there's only a uh you know you get one chance or two chances you're gonna probably have to play three games so that's i mean that's a good thing that's's a good thing. So they get the teams right. They get it right this time instead of people complaining about we should have made it, it should have been us, and you get a shellacking like you did today, there's really no argument.
Starting point is 01:05:14 And the only argument that those that are Florida State fans can say is, well, look how many people we had out. Right. Right. I agree. I agree, Ocho. But you know the thing is,
Starting point is 01:05:22 we'll never know. Yeah. We'll never know. You see the refs ruin Gojane's birthday. That step back three, and they talk about he had a toe on the line. I saw an image, and his toe
Starting point is 01:05:35 wasn't on the line. Exactly. And obviously, if they went back to replay, how could they not... Can they reverse that or no? No. It's over now. It's in the books. Okay, okay, okay. I'm just saying at that time though I didn't watch the game. I'm just saying
Starting point is 01:05:51 at that time, can you replay it and reverse the call? Yes. They could have said because if you look at it Ocho the moment he let the shot go, the official put two fingers down saying it's a two-pointer because they're thinking he's on the line. They go to the replay. Now, had the replay showed it was...
Starting point is 01:06:07 The question in the pool report says, why was James shot with 2.3 seconds play ruled a two-pointer instead of a three? The play was ruled a two-pointer on the goal on the floor, live. After the video review, there wasn't a clear conclusive evidence to overturn it from a two to a three.
Starting point is 01:06:26 That's why it stood as a two point. But it was. His foot was behind the line, Tony. His foot was behind the line. That's why you have replay. What you mean it wasn't conclusive? You see how confusing
Starting point is 01:06:42 basketball is? You see what I mean? Obviously, the foot was behind the line. I saw the replay. I? You see what I mean? Obviously, the foot was behind the line. I saw the replay. I don't even watch the game that much, but I can clearly see it was a three pointer. Yeah, I mean, from when he shot
Starting point is 01:06:56 it, I was like, man, that's going to be close. The ref cheating. I said it was going to be close, but when they showed it down and they blew up the angle, his foot was behind the line. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:12 They cheating. That ain't none but Vegas. It's close. I can see. I can see why. I believe had they called it a three on the floor, I believe they just said it was a three. I said, like they just said it was a three I said like you said it's not enough
Starting point is 01:07:27 of conclusive it's not definitive so you know what we're gonna go with the call that we called on the floor on the floor so I thought I thought we were gonna go into overtime because last year on his birthday he had a monster game against Atlanta
Starting point is 01:07:42 but hey still happy 39th birthday, LeBron. Go, James, as I refer to you as. Having an unbelievable season. Again. Again. Hey, I told you about a story where I played him one-on-one when he was with the Heat. And you beat him? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:01 No. He told you? No. Yeah, you got it. I'm waiting for you to put it in your documentary. I'm waiting for you to put it in your documentary. I'm waiting for you to put it in your documentary. I ain't going to do all that because I really wasn't supposed to tell nobody, but I mean
Starting point is 01:08:12 obviously with you since we had this, this is about sharing stories. I just thought I would share a story about what I'm beating. When you were in high school, that's why you had no women because you were going to kiss and tell. I can tell you. You! I ain't had no women in high school
Starting point is 01:08:28 because I was focused on playing football. You go kiss and tell? Nah. How you going to be mad because I beat LeBron one-on-one? How you going to be mad? You told me you weren't supposed to tell nobody. That's what the girl told you. The girl said I wasn't supposed to show the footage.
Starting point is 01:08:43 I didn't show the footage so I'm just telling you what happened. That's what I'm saying. You told. See, the girl said, I'm supposed to show the footage. I didn't show the footage, so I'm just telling you what happened. That's what I'm saying. You told. See, the girl said, oh, I'm going to do this this time because I don't normally do this. Don't tell nobody. Okay. And what you do? Soon as you do that, you're going to tell the homies.
Starting point is 01:08:55 I don't go tell nobody. I ain't had no homies back then. You just told me. All my homies was, well, you ain't my homie. We partners. But you weren't supposed to. Some things, look here. Some things supposed to be between you and the fans.
Starting point is 01:09:07 Nobody said I wasn't supposed to tell you. I mean, it's okay. I know you like LeBron. I beat him. That's it. I beat him. But you said you weren't supposed to tell nobody. I said that? Yeah. But it's his birthday. Why wouldn't I let people know I beat him one-on-one? Why wouldn't I tell you that? That's a great story.
Starting point is 01:09:24 That's a great story. The. That's a great story. The chat. The chat would love to hear that. You know what? I can tell you what happened. My grandfather was right. I can tell you how I scored every time. My grandfather was right.
Starting point is 01:09:32 You know what he said, Ocho? What? Two people can keep a secret, but one of them needs to be dead. Who said that? My grandpa. I like... Hold on.
Starting point is 01:09:43 Hold on. I like that. Two people can keep a secret, but one of them needs to be dead. Two people can keep a secret, but one of them needs to be dead. I like that. Fan question.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Alexander says, Shannon, you yourself on Twitter said the receiver didn't line up over the ball. I said that, but I'm not an official. He didn't throw the flag on the receiver. Right. It doesn't matter what I say. I say a lot of things.
Starting point is 01:10:08 And I'm right a lot of times. But the official didn't throw the flag. He said it was an illegal touching. They could have said, we have two fouls on the offense. We have an illegal formation. The wide receiver didn't cover up the lineman and we have an illegal
Starting point is 01:10:28 touching by the lineman. That's what could have happened. But they didn't do that. And we've seen it. We've seen them throw two flags, three flags on the defense. We have an offsides on the defense. That penalty is declined. We have a holding by the defense. That penalty is declined. We have
Starting point is 01:10:46 a holding by the defense. That penalty is also declined. We have a personal foul roughing the quarterback on the defense. That penalty is accepted. 15 yards, first down. That's all the officials had to do. We have two
Starting point is 01:11:01 fouls on the defense. One, we have an illegal formation. Two, we have an illegal formation. Two, we have illegal touching also on the offense. He only threw one flag. Okay. Hopefully, I cleared that up for you, Alexander.
Starting point is 01:11:17 H-E- D said, Uncle Nocho, love the show. I'm a diehard Cowboys fan. I'll take the W, but do y'all think these refs should be held accountable for the horrible calls like the players are for hits? Yes. Yes. It's ridiculous at this point. But again, everything is enforced by the committee.
Starting point is 01:11:56 Then you got to think, when one coach complains about one thing or a competition committee installs certain rules or certain things that you have to watch and abide by, and then one coach complains about holding or they send videos in, then it ramps everything up. Then the refs get overly, overly zealous with all the goddamn calls. Yeah. To the point where the game is to the point where in a minute they're going to be playing two-hand touch. I promise you, in a minute they're going to be playing two-hand touch because you can't hit nobody. You can't hit the receivers.
Starting point is 01:12:15 You can't hit the quarterback. The running backs, the running backs are getting fined for actually running the football. Right. You're supposed to run the football and it's a contact sport. Oh, don't, you can't lower your head. So I'm just supposed to.... You're supposed to run the football and it's a contact sport. Oh, don't,
Starting point is 01:12:26 you can't lower your head. So I'm just supposed to... But how you supposed to, you supposed to run upright? That makes no sense. You supposed to run behind your pad. Yeah, I'm going to lower my head. Man, it's, dude,
Starting point is 01:12:38 listen, I love the game of football. I love that the fact that they're trying to protect the players, but we doing too much to where we're losing the true definition of what the game of football is, especially at the highest level. Well, I just think the thing is, the NFL is just so cheap. These guys have regular jobs.
Starting point is 01:12:55 They're not full-time officials. Wait, for real? No. They have regular jobs. They're bankers. They're lawyers. They're doctors. They have financial debt. So they likeers. They're lawyers. They're doctors. They have different. They have all, you know, financial.
Starting point is 01:13:06 So they like the side job. Yeah. They move like they're not like MLB. They're not like basketball that they do that full time. This is not a full time job. Now, they do supposedly when you have so many blown calls, obviously, they're going to they're going to move you down or you won't get the playoff games. You don't get the Superbowl things of that nature, but Hey,
Starting point is 01:13:30 we need to know who y'all dock. Y'all let the play. Y'all let players know. I mean, the fans know who got fine. You can't do that. We might not even see the hit, but y'all still find them and they find out.
Starting point is 01:13:43 So I want to know who had a bad call, who got a bad grade. I mean, we know who the bad grades are, but I don't think they would expose the referees like that. They have to deal with the fans, the fans heckling. Hey, what's the famous NBA ref?
Starting point is 01:13:59 I know about him. The famous NBA ref who always go at it with Chris Paul. Oh, Scott Foster. Scott Foster. Hey, them two need i know about him the famous nba ref who always go go at it with chris paul oh they always got one hey hey them two need a documentary together man they always going at it they funny they are uh huh hey remember back in the days when all the NFL players used to have regular jobs? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do. Yeah, they got they were making the money.
Starting point is 01:14:30 They got jobs in the offseason. Yeah. So basically, he said Alan is saying. The Lions are lying. What? Yeah, he said 70 because 70 reported as eligible and he was covered up on the line of scrimmage. That makes him that makes it an illegal formation. So number 70 is in an illegal position because he covered up by he's covered up by rule and 68 catches the passes, which is also illegal.
Starting point is 01:15:01 So something ain't right. So I made right. I mean, I mean,'t right we'll never know because somebody need to go back to the rule book well he said 70 reported is eligible 70 said he didn't say a effing word right so that's a classic plausible deniability he said he said so and you know the n NFL is going to side with the official because that makes them
Starting point is 01:15:28 look terrible if... Every time. Right. I am underscore tough said, first off, happy New Year's to Uncle Nocho. This is TJ from Cincinnati. Do y'all think...
Starting point is 01:15:39 TJ, that's who's from Izada? No. TJ. He says, do y'all think sports betting changed the game forever? The Lions won that game. No. They've always bet on sports.
Starting point is 01:15:50 It was bet before it was legal. What the NFL found a way is to benefit. Let's get in bed with FanDuel. Let's get in bed with DraftKings. Let's get in bed with ESPN. It's just like alcohol.
Starting point is 01:16:07 Once the government finds out, states find out a way, hold on. You mean to tell me we can tax it? Okay. You don't need to bootleg it. What do they do with marijuana? Once they find out they can tax it, you don't need to outlaw marijuana. At the end of the day, especially the NFL,
Starting point is 01:16:23 obviously, you know what the bottom line, the bottom line is always about making the dollars. The bottom line is always about making money. So when they figured out a way where they can monetize especially gambling, okay, we can get a piece. It's all about money at the end of the day. And you think, wait until
Starting point is 01:16:39 they allow a player to smoke weed. When they figure out a way to monetize that. They did that. They let the player smoke weed. Now the nanogram way to monetize that. They did that. Ocho, they let the player smoke weed. Now the nanograms, they lowered the nanograms. You see what y'all did? See what the players did? They thought the NFL, the owners really cared about them
Starting point is 01:16:53 smoking weed. They didn't give a damn. Let me tell you what they didn't give up. Guaranteed contracts. What they did also didn't give up. Lifetime health benefits. You see? You waste your time bargaining for petty privileges. Now Roger Goodell said when he signed his contract, he wanted lifetime health benefits. So you mean
Starting point is 01:17:10 to tell me the commissioner ain't never took a hit, ain't never had a concussion. He want lifetime benefits, but you want to be able to smoke weed in your off time. You see how they did that? Wait, they passed that they can smoke weed? Yeah! They lowered the nanograms.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Because you know it used to be you had a threshold. They lowered that. You smoke a little weed, we don't care. But I tell you what we're not going to give you. Keep your eye on the ball, Ocho. Keep your eye on your luggage in case something transpires. You bargaining for petty privileges. You don't want to practice. Ocho, I don't want to pray oh joe i don't want to practice
Starting point is 01:17:46 twice a day i want to have meetings okay see they don't want to practice they ain't mentioned nothing about no lifetime benefits to keep keep it keep it going right right right they want to smoke a little weed oh yeah we'll let y'all smoke some weed they ain't mentioned nothing about no guaranteed money they ain't mentioned nothing about no franchise tag. You see what I did, don't you? Yeah, I see what you're doing. Weed? You mean to tell me you would rather not have a guaranteed contract than to smoke weed? You mean to tell me you would rather not have lifetime benefits
Starting point is 01:18:17 as opposed to practice twice a day? Really? That's a crazy fight, though. That's a crazy fight. When you think about it, guaranteed contracts would be a crazy fight though That's a crazy fight When you think about it Guaranteed contracts Would be a crazy fight And that's one Where we just talked about
Starting point is 01:18:30 Where everybody Got to be on the same page And willing to Sit the fuck out If necessary They were on the same page For that weed They got on the same page
Starting point is 01:18:37 For smoking weed didn't they They got on the same page About smoking About practice I think everybody Was on the same page About smoking weed Because I think So many people do it.
Starting point is 01:18:46 You ever smoke weed? I don't mean to be in your personal business. You ever smoke weed before? I don't need no weed. But I tell you what, Ocho, even if I smoke an ounce, two ounces a day, you be the teller, you're going to give me my whole contract. So I signed a
Starting point is 01:19:01 $50 million contract. And I'm going to get all 50 million of that. And I just couldn't smoke weed between this time. Yeah. What type of fool do you think I am? That's easy, though.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Thank you. That's easy. I mean, you know what? I really can't answer that because it's hard for me to, it's easy for me to say, oh, it's easy not to do something when I've never done it.
Starting point is 01:19:22 That's like I said, well, it's hard for me not to drink alcohol. Well, shit, you paying me 50 million not to drink? Well, I already don't drink, so it's easy not to do something when I've never done it. That's like I said, where it's hard for me not to drink alcohol, well, shit, you paying me 50 million not to drink? Well, I already don't drink, so it's easy.
Starting point is 01:19:29 Guess what? But what about the people that have a problem that can't stop from smoking weed? Okay. Guys like to go out. Why they don't go out the night before the game?
Starting point is 01:19:39 Well, you can't. You get in trouble. You can't. You absolutely can't. Oh, you can get in trouble. You get in trouble for smoking weed, you see? Guys do what they want to do.
Starting point is 01:19:48 Right. If what's important to you. You see, to get to the NFL, a lot of guys had to deny themselves, deny their friends, deny things that they really like to do because what was most important? Right. Get into the league. You see, it's really, it's not that complicated though, Joe.
Starting point is 01:20:06 And I get it. Oh, you should be able to smoke weed. Okay, smoke weed. You can do all the stuff that you want to do once I get all the people money. If I'm in the NBA, I'm in the major leagues,
Starting point is 01:20:17 I'm in the NFL. Whatever they say I can't do, I'm going to wait until I get all y'all money. I'm going to get 300, 400, 500 million. Just think about that. Shohei Hotani got a $700 million contract. And the only thing he got to do,
Starting point is 01:20:30 he can't smoke no weed for like two months. Y'all see how dumb that sound people in the chat? But y'all quick to holler. Let that man do what he want to do. Let him live his life. Right. I don't know. I really can't even talk, really speak on that subject when it comes to weed or alcohol or any of the paraphernalia or the fun things that people like to add in their life.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Because I'm kind of lame in that sense. But it's something about, even when I played, it's something about weed where everybody was doing it. It seemed everybody, I don't know if they had to do it. I don't know if they were addicted to it or were just part of uh maybe a stress reliever whatever they just got a piece from it yeah but i'm oh i mean i mean to each his own yeah yeah same thing i say for me i would rather have all of us have lifetime health benefits right yeah most definitely. Because everybody ain't going to make $100 million. Everybody ain't going to make $200 million.
Starting point is 01:21:29 The average lift, most players aren't going to get vested. Yeah. And the ones that get vested, they're not making no $70, $80 million. Right. But they done took that pounding. So they're going to have the ramifications and the repercussions for playing six years seven years in
Starting point is 01:21:48 NFL without the benefits of a guy for me yeah I played 14 years I got but the best thing about it I did good with my money everybody's not going to be financially responsible just like any occupation somebody might work at a job for 20 years and be less responsible than somebody.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Everybody's not going to have the same responsibility. Okay, we get that. But I was in a situation, I mean, hips are about $104,000 each. Damn! Yeah! Boy, $104,000 for a hip? For a hip.
Starting point is 01:22:26 Hey, boy, somebody wanted to rob you. All they got to do is come take your hip, boy. Shit. Hey, let me get that hip up off you, baby. You see that scar? Come on. Oh, you got to put a tattoo over that, man. Both sides. Look at that, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:22:50 Hey, Unc, you got to get a tattoo over that, man. That's fine over there. By the time they see that, Ocho, it's too late. It's too late. It's too late, Ocho. It's too late. It's going down.
Starting point is 01:23:05 It's going down, down. You know what I'm saying, Ocho? Uh-uh. You done got too late. It's too late, Ojo. It's too late. It's too late. It's going down. It's going down, down. You know what I'm saying, Ojo? Uh-uh. You done got too late. If you can see this car, it's too late. There it is. Damn, Ojo. It's too late.
Starting point is 01:23:21 Hey. Boy, you shot out, man. Boy, you shot out You shout out God damn man 104,000 for hip replacement Yeah yeah Boy you got that Boy you got that money man
Starting point is 01:23:33 Shit Oh Joe I mean What What price would you play How much would you Be willing to pay For quality of life
Starting point is 01:23:43 You know what You know be willing to pay for quality of life. Hmm. You know what? You know, I'm the wrong person to ask that because you look, you look, you look, I got, I got a pretty penny,
Starting point is 01:23:56 but I don't live the quality, the quality of life that I should. I live way below my means. No, Ocho, what I'm seeing is you're missing the point. So you think I'm saying an exuberance, but if you had to pay to not be in pain, what would you pay?
Starting point is 01:24:07 Oh, yeah. Now we're talking. Now, when you put it that way. Yes. That's what I'm talking about. No, I'm not talking about living extravagant. I'm talking about
Starting point is 01:24:17 you're not in pain. Okay, okay, okay, okay. When you walk, you're not in pain. When you sleep, you're not in pain. When you sleep, you're not in pain.
Starting point is 01:24:24 When you stand, you're not in pain. Let you sleep, you're not in pain. When you sleep, you're not in pain. When you're staying, you're not in pain. Let me explain something else to you. Just small, small. Stay with me real quick, man. You know my terminology and my fight and my mantra, why I always talk about ultra versus science, right? And you know what I believe in as far as my nutrition and the feeling that you can eat whatever you want as long as you train. And my whole feeling that is eating a certain way, you have to build a callus within the body to calcify the bones as you're growing up, blah, blah, blah. So I'm thinking of the fact that I've never been injured before. I've never been injured before. And I think if you had eaten my way when you were playing playing I think you would be fine
Starting point is 01:25:05 it's hereditary my sister about to get both of her hips replaced she ain't never played football wait a minute wait a minute stay with me what the food
Starting point is 01:25:13 the intake what you consume my sister did y'all thing she hog ball pigtail chitlin raccoon still to this day
Starting point is 01:25:20 turtle goat so it's hereditary my brother got his replaced my brother was in his late 30s when he got his replaced sterling too yep damn okay all right all right you know i lost i lost this one i love you dear my my dad died at 39 of cancer he had two brothers didn't make it to 50. Damn. I had an aunt die at 47. I only had one uncle make it to the age of 70.
Starting point is 01:25:49 My grandfather died at 57. Had an uncle die at 57. One died at 60, one died at 64. On both sides. It don't matter. It's the one appointment that you cannot cancel
Starting point is 01:26:04 or reschedule. Cause when he call, when he put your, when he writes your name down, you got to take that appointment. You got to go. That's the one appointment. I like that.
Starting point is 01:26:14 And it does not matter. I read a story that said the King, he said, when he died, he said he wanted to summons all the greatest doctors in the city. And they asked him and say, why do you wanted to summons all the greatest doctors in the city. And they asked him, they said, why do you want to summons the greatest doctors to carry your casket? He said, because I want the world to see even the best medicine cannot save you when it's your time. He said, you know what?
Starting point is 01:26:39 All this money. I'm the richest man in the city. He said, spread it around. They said, well, why do you want him to spread all your money? He said, because you cannot take any of it with you. Yeah. I like that. When you write your name down in that book,
Starting point is 01:26:54 you coming. You coming. You can't reschedule. That's enough. You know what? I like that. And people always talk about, oh, this can kill you, that can kill you. And I always tell people, you know, when you're born, you got to leave here. You got an expiration date. The expiration date is already set. It's already set. There's really nothing you can do where you can change when it's time to go. And if you think you can, you're a fool. That's just how I feel. All right, other people might feel a different way is they can control when it's time to go.
Starting point is 01:27:30 You know, if I eat this, maybe I'll live longer. I mean, sure, shit. If that's not what is in his plan, guess what? No. When that not... When that not come and it's time to go... Mm-hmm. You write your name down in the book. I don't care what you eat. not, when that, when that not, when that not come and it's time to go. You write your name down the book.
Starting point is 01:27:48 I don't care what he, I don't care what he eat. Salad, kale, rice cakes. Maybe it's time to go. Mr. Jackson 2002 said I'm a Cowboys, but Mike McCarthy game management. Yes, because his game management always, you got Dak throwing the ball, stopping the clock. Come on Ocho, make them burn them timeouts.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Right, right, right, right. Learn to play better situational football. And this was the perfect time to practice it. Perfect time to practice it. It's going to bite him. It's going to bite him. You think so? He think he's slick. Oh, I'm aggressive.
Starting point is 01:28:20 I got the utmost confidence. We'll be having this conversation. Yeah. True Infamous 73 asks, which one deserves an extension? Nah, Michael or CD. I got the utmost confidence. We'll be having this conversation. Yeah. True Infamous 73 asks, which one deserves an extension? Nah, Mike or CD. Neither one of them deserve it. They earned it.
Starting point is 01:28:33 And you have to pay the piper. Yeah. You have to pay. They definitely earned it. Now, I'm going to tell you, Mike can't give you no hometown discount. CD might. Oh, no, no, no, no. Shit.
Starting point is 01:28:44 CD might give who a discount? He might. He might. You know, he want to, no. Shit. CD might give who a discount. He might. He might. You know, he want to be there. I'm telling you, Micah ain't giving no discounts. Nah, at all. Because here's the thing. You see Ocho?
Starting point is 01:28:54 At all. Ocho. Just think about it. And Russ is a prime example. Think about all those hometown discounts Tom Brady gave the New England Patriots. And when he came down to it and he wanted some more money, they said no.
Starting point is 01:29:07 So for Tom got his first contract, they redid Tom's contract after he won that Super Bowl. They redid it. And I think they redid it again in 05. And all the years that he gave them discount after discount after discount after discount.
Starting point is 01:29:23 You know what? And Tom's situation was a little different though. Because Tom was so fortunate for one to have, I'm not even going to be, obviously, to be married, to be married to a woman making three times more than him. He was also blessed
Starting point is 01:29:40 to be making a shit ton of money off the field. So being able to give the Patriots a hometown discount. So why the Patriots pocket watching? So let me ask you a question. What did you say? Why they what? Pocket watching.
Starting point is 01:29:54 But here's the thing. Now, one time, so let me ask you a question. How many times do you think the league gave these networks a discount? Oh, they can't. Oh, they don't play that. Oh. If you notice, you know, they can't. Oh, they don't play that. Oh. If you notice, you know, Ocho, the NFL, they the only, they the only,
Starting point is 01:30:10 they the only company. They don't write checks, they only deposit. Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah. You right about that. They deposit checks. You right. The only. All they do is deposit. You right. Now, not one time they say,
Starting point is 01:30:25 you know what, CBS, y'all were the first network with us, to broadcast us. You know what, we're going to give you a discount. Shit. Hey, ESPN, y'all, you know what, y'all talk football. No other, all the other networks,
Starting point is 01:30:36 they don't really talk football year-round like you do. So ESPN, we're going to give y'all a discount. Right. Hey, NBC, you know what, y'all got out, got back in. We really appreciate that. We're going to give y'all a discount. You. Hey, NBC, you know what? Y'all got back in. We really appreciate that. We're going to give y'all a discount. You know what, Amazon? Y'all deliver a package.
Starting point is 01:30:50 And y'all make sure y'all give us Amazon Prime, and y'all make sure we get our packages on time. We're going to give y'all a discount. The NFL don't give nobody a discount on nothing. Not sponsors, not advertisers. Right. But from a football standpoint,
Starting point is 01:31:05 the discount that Tom was giving is the reason they were able to win so many Super Bowls because they were able to build the pieces around them to be able to do what they did. So when that man said, you know what?
Starting point is 01:31:15 I don't want to take another discount. I think it's time for y'all to break bread. You would have thanked him for all the money that they didn't save over the years. It would have been a no-brainer.
Starting point is 01:31:23 It would have been a no-brainer. But obviously, the head man over there had a problem with it because he was ready to move on. Right. The owner was fine, but the head man in charge had a problem with it and was ready to move on. Mm-hmm. He was. He was. So,
Starting point is 01:31:40 Michael's going to break the bank. CD's going to want Tyreek's money. Tyreek does 30, 30, 31 mil. He got 72 guaranteed. So he's going to reset the market? Yeah, he should. For the receiver position?
Starting point is 01:31:55 He should. And then Justin Jefferson probably coming right behind him to reset it again. Yes, yes, yes. Wait a minute. Then we still have Chase. Chase is going to have to come along and have to
Starting point is 01:32:08 fall somewhere in the same... He said, I ain't falling nowhere. He said, I'm falling up. He said, I'm falling up. And you know, you got Mike Evans. Mike Evans says, hey, my contract completely up. I want to break bread. Somebody break bread with me. They're going to give it to him too.
Starting point is 01:32:24 I'm not sure where he's going to go. I'm trying to think of a good place for Mike Evans to go. That's a good question. You would want Tampa Bay to do it, but Tampa Bay, if they were going to do it, they would have done it already. You wouldn't even let him get to this point this far. Especially what he's been able to accomplish. His body of work has been phenomenal throughout his entire career. But it's crazy how they do you
Starting point is 01:32:51 when you hit 30, 31, huh? Oh, yeah, for sure. Well, it's crazy. The business is a dirty game. Look, I ain't got no problem if you say with Shannon we need you to take a pay cut. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 01:33:03 But can I cut my production too? Now, see, they want you to make them same place and people at home. This is what I want you to do. Your boss said, you know what? We're going to cut your pay, but we still want you to work 40 hours and plus another 10 overtime,
Starting point is 01:33:19 but we're going to cut your pay. So I'm going to give it to you as something that you can explain because every time I say something, you always want to tell me, well, that's still a lot of money. So I will give it to you as something that you could explain, because every time I say something, you always want to tell you, well, that's still a lot of money. So I'm putting it in your, I'm going to put it in your realm. I don't know how much you make. Your boss comes to you and says, we're going to cut your pay, but we want you to still give us those 40 hours plus the 10 hours a week. How are you feeling feeling about that so i ain't putting in
Starting point is 01:33:47 millions i ain't talking about an nfl player i'm not talking about an nba player i'm talking about the person that works a nine to five your boss comes to you he tells you he wants to cut your pay 10 30 up to 50 and your hours no no, no. You got to work the same hours. Because, see, when they cut your pay, they still want you to give them that same production. Oh, no. Oh, no. I don't even like the way that sounds. So let me ask you a question, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:34:16 When they cut these guys' pay, you think they want them to produce less? Or they want them to produce the same they did when they were making their money? They want the same production, now. You know that. So I'm going to produce the same they did as when they were making the money. They want the same production now. You know that. The fans don't understand until you put it in their terminology where they can understand it a little better. I put it in their terminology. Your boss comes
Starting point is 01:34:36 to you and he's going to cut your pay by up to 60% but he wants you to work the same hours for 60% less pay. How you feeling about that? Uh-uh. You're better than me. But, you know, at times, you know, when you
Starting point is 01:34:51 get to a certain point in your career where that price tag on you is very high and they want to bring it on down and, you know, you're not at the end of the road, you know you can still keep going. That's when you just move on that's why I'm going to get my money
Starting point is 01:35:08 because I know that day is going to come because here's the thing Ocho there's a reason why certain companies don't give you discounts because once you give a discount what's the expectation a discount what's the first thing we the discount king
Starting point is 01:35:23 get your boy that hook up. What? Yeah. Once you start with that, Ocho, where do you go? Yeah. See, if I give you a discount on a five-star hotel, guess what? Every time you come, you're going to want a discount. You're never going to want to pay the full price.
Starting point is 01:35:42 Right. Or what I have to do is that I have to mark it up for more than what I want and say, okay, I'll give you a discount, but this is the price I wanted to get you the room for all the time anyway. Yep. That's what they do with Black Friday. They mark the prices way up
Starting point is 01:35:58 and say slash 20%, 30%. And it'd be the regular price. It'd be the regular price anyway boy it's a dirty game man it is it is it's a dirty game
Starting point is 01:36:10 Okanocho they said what is the problem with Dallas why are they so inconsistent is it coaching or on field personnel look Mike McCarthy's gonna have to prove himself
Starting point is 01:36:19 because he did win a lot of games but he had two guys that's on the I mean he got two guys that won seven MVPs, this many. Aaron Rodgers, now although he did not coach Brett Favre during those MVP seasons, Brett Favre has no MVPs on his resume. He's the last guy to win three consecutive MVPs.
Starting point is 01:36:40 Aaron Rodgers has four. Under Mike McCarthy. Aaron Rodgers has four under Mike McCarthy. So he's going to have to prove that it was his coaching and not those guys. But you would like to think you'd have more than one MVP with guys that were seven MVPs. You would think Ocho. I'm just saying maybe it's me. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:10 You never know. Especially at that position. Yeah. I think this might be the year, though. This might be the year for the Cowboys as long as the consistent player quarterback, the receiver play, and the situational awareness from the coaching. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:31 Situational awareness from the coaching. I think they'll be fine. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week, you'll get all the latest news, previews, recaps, and analysis

As a skilled player, do you have a problem with the quarterbacks avoiding hits when they're the opportunity to make big throws, or do you understand? It takes a special type of quarterback. Just sit, stay in that pocket, to look down that gun barrel, and to take one right here.
Starting point is 01:40:50 Now, it's easy to say at home, but I've been hit right here. Just like I'm saying, it takes a special type of receiver to know that safety is going to drop that thunder on you and make it feel like trees falling on your head, and you go catch it. Now, it's easy. I mean, you might do it once. But Al Davis had a famous saying,
Starting point is 01:41:09 rest your soul, Al. The quarterback must go down and he must go down hard. And it needs to happen in one of early, in the first couple of possessions of the game. That's what I want to do. I want to send a message. You see, football in its true meaning was about
Starting point is 01:41:27 intimidation you were actually trying to break a man's spirit you're trying to break his will yeah they kind of you see guys now guys like I said guys taking selfies going across the middle catching the ball with one hand
Starting point is 01:41:43 got a selfie the quarterback oh the quarterback just throwing he just changing arm angles Eyes taking selfies going across the middle. Catching the ball with one hand because he's got a selfie. Yeah. The quarterback, oh, the quarterback just throwing. He's just changing arm angles. He's doing all these. Hey, they throwing no, no. Oh, they wouldn't even look.
Starting point is 01:41:56 They wouldn't even look at the receiver. They're like, take that with you. Different. Times are different. Yes. Yes. But look, it takes a special type of quarterback to look to know somebody's gonna put their helmet right here and even though it's gonna be a 15 yard penalty man you don't want to take too many of those because ultra you know people ask they say
Starting point is 01:42:18 what's it like to play in the nfl and the way i explain that, I say, go get you a thin jacket. Go get you a medium-sized jacket and go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get you a hard hat. And I want you to light up anywhere between five and ten yards from your garage and I want you to run into it 65 times.
Starting point is 01:42:37 Damn. That's all I want you to do in ten yards. I ain't say do it like kickoff where you light it up for 30 or 40 yards. Oh, like the wedge? Okay, okay, okay, okay. That's what those want you to do at 10 yards. I ain't say do it like kickoff where you line it up for 30 or 40 yards. Oh, like the wedge? Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:42:47 That's what those collisions are. That's what it feel like. That's what you do it. Now, I want you to do that for 17 weeks. I'm going to give you a buy. Take a week off. Take your buy week from running into the wall in the garage anytime you want to.
Starting point is 01:43:02 Take it off whenever you want to. You can go 80, but then you got to do it. Now, what they don't do is that we used to hit when I had Dan Reeves, we hit in practice. We hit in training camp. Right. And I ain't talking about no thud up. We put mofos on the ground.
Starting point is 01:43:18 Yeah. That's what it's like. We had certain days like that. We put them on the ground. You want to know what it's like don't do 10 because 10 might 5 yards just line up 5 yards from your garage and run into it you know what 65 times you know what just do it because the offensive linemen they hit on
Starting point is 01:43:37 every play so what position you want to play Malcolm what position you want to play you want to play running back do it 20 times C.D. Lamb caught the ball C.D. Lamb caught the ball 17 times. So you just tell me the position. Because if you're an offensive lineman and you're a defensive lineman, you're hitting on every play.
Starting point is 01:43:52 Yeah. A running back, do it 20 times. Oh, snap. Speaking of football and hitting, y'all did hamburger drills? When we was growing up, you're talking about like Bull in the Ring, Oklahoma? Yeah, Oklahoma. But we did it
Starting point is 01:44:12 in the NFL. I can't remember the name. I can't remember the name of it. It would be the offensive lineman, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, quarterback, and running back. Yeah, yeah. Then receivers and DBs. We'd have ours.
Starting point is 01:44:26 Ours was more so just blocking. Yeah. Not blocking with the running back. Absolutely. Trying to find a way. Okay. We used to have, we got Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:44:34 Okay. Okay. Oklahoma. I like, I like Oklahoma drills. Yeah. I like Oklahoma drills. Uh,
Starting point is 01:44:39 we, bull in the ring where, you know, you in the middle of the ring and coach call out a number and they come charging at you. Yeah, I remember that. Oh yeah, for sure. Absolutely. And then in training camp, you get the 9-on-7
Starting point is 01:44:52 where we had no receivers so if it's 9-on-7, what the hell you think we gonna do? The defense, the linebacker, the D-line, ain't no threat of no goddang old pass. It's all running. Yeah. And they done got it set up. You got to run in this area.
Starting point is 01:45:10 I'm like, bruh. I mean, can we have, I mean, in the game, I mean, there is a threat of a pass. Nine on seven. Ain't no passing. It's just man on man. Yeah. Money in my note.
Starting point is 01:45:24 They know what you're going to do. You. They know what you're going to do. You know they know what you're going to do. And you still got to go get it done. Every time. That's why when we got in for a minute, you know we're going to run this ball. Oh, move it. You hear me say it all the time. Moving a man against his will.
Starting point is 01:45:41 His will. Hey, y'all ran that stretch play over and over and over and over and over. The Broncos and the Colts with that damn stretch play, man. With Anthony James and Adai. Like, God. Hand off strong toss week.
Starting point is 01:45:59 What you gonna do? Stop it. We don't get you up out of here. You finna move. You finna get up out of here. Right. They start out talking, Ocho. Nothing today. You know, the first player, Ocho, you know how they stop you? You get a one-yard game.
Starting point is 01:46:15 They stop you. Nothing today. Ocho, they do it right here. Nothing. Get that stuff out of here. By the third quarter. Come on, man man Who gap is this No no Nah You remember the first and second quarter
Starting point is 01:46:29 You told me we weren't going to get nothing Oh yeah When everybody When everybody fresh It's a different It's a different ball game Yes When them legs get a little tired
Starting point is 01:46:38 You get a little winded Man Yeah I said whoa You ain't What are they talking What are they talking i thought you said we were gonna get nothing right right right how we get nothing and td got 165 right now so when did that happen what did i miss boy td td was the real deal man td was the real deal. Oh. Him and Portis mastered. Mastered.
Starting point is 01:47:06 No, I mean, they went like, even if I left, they had guys that could, you know, because it was TD, and then TD got hurt, Orlando's Gary, and then Orlando's Gary went to Detroit, and then they had Mike Anderson, who run rookie of the year, and then Mike, and then Reuben Drones got 12, then Portis came, and then Ruben Drones got 12, then Portis came, and then Ruben Drones, and then Mike.
Starting point is 01:47:30 And just keep going. Hey, running is what we did. We're going to run stopping. And it was very, very simple. That's why we were able to be successful. Because it wasn't all them exotic plays, all these checks. Hey, if you hear John talk about, hey, all we had was over.
Starting point is 01:47:49 That means instead of going left, we're going right. Instead of right, we're going left. All that other stuff, we're doing all this right here. No, we ain't doing that. We either going from handoffs to toss. We either going from toss to handoff. That's what we doing. It's really that simple.
Starting point is 01:48:07 Put a hat on a hat if we need to. Normally we're a zone read. But if we need to put a hat on a hat, oh, you finna get up out of here. You got to get up out of here. In other words, you ain't paid. Like you getting thrown out the club, huh? Hey. You getting up out of there?
Starting point is 01:48:24 You ain't paid. You ain't paid in two downs. You got down you gotta get up you gotta move off this land bro I'm sorry we gonna get your ass up out of there Faith just donated Ocho hey Ocho hi Shannon thanks for sharing please know that your scars are
Starting point is 01:48:41 testament to being broke and rebuilt and to serve a divine purpose. Love the scars as evidence of healing. Stay purpose-driven. Prayers for your sister and her healing. Yeah, you know, hey. I feel good. Like I said, I don't show them scars.
Starting point is 01:48:56 They're like, oh, you got scars? Oh, you saw them? It's too late. I ain't got no scars, man. I feel like I ain't been through no, man. I feel like I ain't been through no war wounds. That's good. You don't want them. I would prefer not to have them, but I got them now.
Starting point is 01:49:12 So, you know what I'm saying? You know. I say, well, you know what? They need some cocoa butter rub it on. They say cocoa butter make a fuel that I feel to make a light nut. That's what they say. I don't know. You put more cocoa butter on. Listen, when you get you that plus one, she gets in my ass.
Starting point is 01:49:28 She'll rub the cocoa butter on them? Yeah, she'll rub them. Make sure you're ready for that wedding in 2025. Baby! It'll ruin something else. Hey, send us some money. Nikki Grant said, in defense of Chaffer,
Starting point is 01:49:43 let that grown man use language he won't. If you come to Nightcap, you know what time it is also. Hi, Shannon. Let's be friends. Oh, shoot. I forgot I've got to pay $5 for every time I curse. Yo, dude. My bad. $20. My bad. No, we said $5.
Starting point is 01:50:02 No, it ain't no $5. I don't know, Nicky. You keep on showing up in this chat now. Uh-oh. You gonna get what you're looking for. There it is. After the huddle said birthday is tomorrow, can I get a follow back on Twitter or a shout out?
Starting point is 01:50:19 Second question. Chad, have you thought about a post-career book after the huddle? Hey, that's a good one. post-career book after the huddle? Hey, that's a good one. Post-career book. You know what? I think about it. I think about it. I wrote two books while I was playing, one at the beginning of my career, one towards the tail end of it, and one to finish it would be really dope. If I was to write a book, I would want my book to be about financial literacy. I would love my book to be about financial literacy I would love my book to be about financial literacy because I'm sick of seeing the stories of us whether it be athletes or
Starting point is 01:50:50 whether it be regular 9 to 5 9 to 5 people I would love to give people my formula on how to save money you ain't married what? imagine if you were married and she take half the money
Starting point is 01:51:05 and all the hoo-ha. Right. So you have what you are. But I'm not. So you got 20 million. Let's just say for the sake of argument, you got 20 million. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:51:18 She take half of that and you still got, and she gets half your pension and you got to pay child support. But I'm not going to pay child support. But I'm not going to be in that situation because I'm trying to trap her. It's the other way around. No, I'm just
Starting point is 01:51:31 saying, you have to understand. I like what you're saying, but those that put themselves in that situation have to understand the pros and the cons of marriage. Yes! Ocho, I don't think anybody goes... You you you just hear her what you say there's Kurt Kersh from back there what you say about you I I you I am man don't
Starting point is 01:51:53 get me in trouble in here man because I got to deal with that don't do don't do that uh oh Joe I don't think anybody gets I don't think anybody goes into a marriage thinking they're going to get divorced I think the thing is to get divorced. You never do. You never do. But let's look at statistics. Oh, I'm a firm believer. Oh, we got to get a prenup. Because I tell my homeboy,
Starting point is 01:52:16 they say, Sean, I ain't got nothing. I say, good. So therefore, when you get a divorce, you get 100% of your nothing. You don't want half of your nothing. I want all of my nothing. So whatever I don't have, I will keep. Right. And so that's how
Starting point is 01:52:31 I look at it, Ocho. But yeah, I agree. I mean, I've had a lot of friends that got married and you know, like I said, I think the thing is that when a person is in the league, and I can just speak to NFL because that's what I'm familiar with. That's what I'm around. I think the women are more tolerant.
Starting point is 01:52:52 Oh, going out with your homeboy, staying out late at night. Now you have a problem because you got five, seven million dollars coming in. Now, all of a sudden, you ain't got that coming in and you don't get to move to the front of the restaurant unless you wanted them on big time names yeah so now all of a sudden things that didn't annoy you it annoy you all of a sudden yeah and see sometimes people get married you know if you having let's just say for the sake of argument oh joe you go two years and like oh man she hey she the bomb everything i asked for man you know she let me chill with the boys when I want to. You know, occasionally she'll cook a meal. We go out, we have such a great time.
Starting point is 01:53:29 You're under the impression that 15 years from now, that's going to be the same way. Oh, no. You have to find another way to make it like that. So you got to basically, you got to fall in love with her all over again. She has to fall in love with you all over again. She has to fall in love with you all over again, continuously. It's so easy now to Ochoa, it's so easy now. Man, this ain't working, I'm out. made it very, very difficult for a lot of people to remain happy for the lifestyles that they're seeing, especially for the women
Starting point is 01:54:09 that they're seeing on Instagram and thinking that that is somewhat of reality or I'm going to find a guy that's going to provide so I can live like this as well. Really not understanding what comes with the territory
Starting point is 01:54:21 with the type of men that you are chasing. Social media ain't real life, though, Ocho. It ain't. It ain't. Social media ain't real life though, Ocho. It's not. Because there's an edit button. Ain't no edit button in real life. It ain't. Hey, Ocho, I can't go.
Starting point is 01:54:33 You can't see me. And then also, hey, let me go to, let me get this wrinkle out of my face. Let me get this wrinkle out of my forehead. Let me put more money in my pocket. See, on social media, the women can make their lips look a certain way. They can add some... You can be anybody you want. You can be anybody you want to be. It's crazy.
Starting point is 01:54:50 It's crazy. Crazy. Crazy. You know, when they see me, they say, oh, you more handsome in person than on TV. I say, for real? I ain't know. I say, I ain't even know that.
Starting point is 01:55:05 For real? Yeah, I can't. They said, you big or two? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I get that. I get all the time. They said, oh, fine. They said, oh.
Starting point is 01:55:15 They said, oh, fine. I said, really? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like, fine, like, frog hair? I mean, what kind of fine am I? Yeah, it's different kinds of fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, right, right, right, right. They said, yeah. I mean, what kind of fine am I? Right, it's different kinds of fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:25 Right, right, right, right, right. Yeah, I don't, I don't really get, I don't really get no compliments like that no more. It just be my baby. She just be praising me. She, you know,
Starting point is 01:55:33 she, you tell me I, you know, I love chocolate drops. I need Ash to stop volunteering to take pictures. I said, Ash, you want to get the pictures?
Starting point is 01:55:41 Dude, Ash all of a sudden, she got to go to the bathroom. I'm like, hold on, you just ain't talking about no bathroom. You just don't want to get no pictures. But, you want to get the picture? Dude, Ash all of a sudden, she got to go to the bathroom. I'm like, hold on. You just ain't talking about no bathroom. You just don't want to get no picture. But Jordan going to get us a picture.
Starting point is 01:55:50 Like, we going to be walking at the airport. She ain't going to know nothing about it. She made sure Jordan is her. She either side by side with Jordan or Jordan is her front. Yeah. Hmm. Hey, babe. You think I'm fine?
Starting point is 01:56:04 We got to get you here Where are we? How many people in the chat at you? Yeah, she said My baby said I'm fine, yo We got 32,000 in the chat, Ocho 32,000? 32,000
Starting point is 01:56:16 Hey, that's 32,000 people that know I'm fine And We gotta get our gold We gotta break We gotta try to get like 50 tomorrow Wait What's our record? 43 what? 9.32 what time? We got to get our gold We got to try to get like 50 tomorrow Wait What's our record? 43 what? 9.32 what time?
Starting point is 01:56:30 About 44,000 is our record We got to break our record That's our goal tomorrow You know what? I'm going to tell you when we're going to break the record Watch this I'm going to tell you when We're going to break the record Oh this. I'm going to tell you when.
Starting point is 01:56:46 We're going to break the record. Oh, no. Is there football next Saturday or no? Yeah, I think there are two games next Saturday. We don't know what games. What's today? Today's Thursday, right? Today's Saturday. Hey, you talking about Thursday.
Starting point is 01:57:02 Wait. Wait, I'm tripping. What kind of calendar is this? What you mean? It's the one that's been implemented for 2,000 years. Oh, I'm looking at... Dude, I'm still on the 2022 calendar. I'm tripping.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Yeah, you really tripping. Okay, okay, okay. I think we're going to do that. We're going to hit that 50. We're going to hit that 50 mark on there. I was trying so hard because, you know, right now, we're at 584,000. We were really trying to get that 600. We're going to hit the 600.
Starting point is 01:57:34 I was trying to hit it before Monday. Yeah, you're right. You're right. But, hey, look, we're going to do 200,000 subs in the month of December alone. Yeah. Which is, nobody did numbers like that. Right. Nobody.
Starting point is 01:57:50 That's crazy. Matter of fact, and remember, when we hit the million subs, I'm going to have my first. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm going to drink the whole bottle. No, don't do that. Yeah, right to the head. Your family going to drink the whole bottle. No, don't do that. Yeah, right to the head. Your family going to come together.
Starting point is 01:58:07 Huh? You drink the whole bottle, your family going to come together. Where we going? Nah, you won't know. I think where you going. I know where you going. I'm going up or yonder. Don't do that, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:58:20 Not the whole bottle. Just a little swing. You know, we going, you know. You can't drink the whole. Yeah, I'll swing. You know, we gonna, you know. You can't drink the whole. Yeah, I'm not. She back there singing the song you just started. Oh, so alcohol can kill you like that? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:36 Yeah. Alcohol poison. See, that's why I don't drink. You just, that's where my mama passed from. Well, mama drink like a fish, boy. That's my baby, man. She probably had a, a,

We won some games, we lost some games, and we both have some stories.
Starting point is 01:59:48 I'm a little older than Ocho, so obviously I have more stories than Ocho. And I probably hung around more old people than Ocho. And, you know, my grandfather- Oh, I hung around old people too, Nat. I think the thing is for me, is that when my grandfather would take, because the barber shop was like a house and all the old men was just sitting there and be telling stories.
Starting point is 02:00:09 And so, you know, my grandfather would say, hey, I'm dropping these boys off. Y'all don't curse in front of these boys. And they were very respectful because my grandfather would go, you know, sometimes he would go home and, you know, come back and pick us up. So I would hear all these old men talking and tell all these stories and things like that. And so I was just like a sponge just absorbing it up and I was like man I was just always thinking man when I get old you think I'm going to tell stories
Starting point is 02:00:32 like this I'm probably going to be with him and here I am I'm just like the old man that was sitting on the porch telling all these damn stories but this is who we are and we really appreciate you accepting us for who we are and we really appreciate you accepting us for who we are. We're not always
Starting point is 02:00:48 grammatically correct. We don't always use the correct pronunciation and all that stuff. Especially me. I talk so damn fast sometimes. I got to slow down. But what you see is what you get. And I think the thing is you know we're authentic.
Starting point is 02:01:05 And so we appreciate you accepting us see is what you get. And I think the thing is it comes, you know we're authentic. And so we appreciate you accepting us for who we are, how we are, and making us, you know, like I said, we're the number one basketball podcast on Apple. We're the number two sports podcast
Starting point is 02:01:20 on Apple and Spotify. But if y'all think we satisfied, now we're thankful. Because see, here's the thing. People say, you know, you can be grateful and still not be satisfied. We're very grateful.
Starting point is 02:01:34 But you know, we coming for that number one spot. Yeah, I need that. I need that. We coming for that number one spot. I need that. We coming for it. I'm not sure who's in it.
Starting point is 02:01:43 You know, I mean, no disrespect to them. But we, oh, okay. I'm not sure who's in it. The Kelsey brothers. But we, oh, okay. I love Trav and Jason, but I need that. We coming. I love you. You got two brothers coming for it. We not biological brothers, but we two brothers. We coming.
Starting point is 02:01:58 We family. You know what? Yeah, we coming for that spot. Hold on. I feel good. for that spot. Hold on. I feel good. Jordan. I'm feeling good. Oh.
Starting point is 02:02:12 Hold on. Did I miss something? Okay. Hey, bro. We got them cheeseburgers so good. Logan Black Roberts asks, Hi, Uncle Nocho. Can you shout out my husband, Michael Roberts,
Starting point is 02:02:23 and my son, Jackson Black? What's up, Mike? You'll make me the best wife and mom. Okay, Michael Roberts and Jackson Roberts, your wife and your mom wants to wish you a happy birthday, and Ocho and I are going to take the time to also wish you a happy birthday. No, we're just going to shout you out.
Starting point is 02:02:42 It's not your birthday. She didn't mention anything about birthdays, so it's not your birthday. She didn't mention anything about birthday, so it's not your birthday. So Michael Jackson, wife and mom says hello. Hello from Uncle Ocho. So thank you. Thank you for listening.
Starting point is 02:02:56 We really appreciate that. Cody Newkirk. Oh, that Laporte had me feeling like, oh, Ocho. I mean, you will. Oto. Oto Cinco. That's what they call you. Otosinko.
Starting point is 02:03:11 Oh, about the toes. Yeah, yeah. From the rooter to the tooter. Yeah, yeah. One of the most important things that a man needs to pay attention to that you have ignored all your life. But we're going to get you together. No, but you know what I'm saying, Ocho.
Starting point is 02:03:24 I don't want to see... I got to see the... I mean, you know, look. Do I like women with open-toed shoes? Of course. Of course. And they got one of the most sun dresses on. You know what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 02:03:36 One of the most sun dresses, Ocho? Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. One of the most slip dresses. Yes. Boy, I know... You better never let me... If I see one, you better never let me, if I see
Starting point is 02:03:46 what, you better never let me catch on payday. Hold check on me. Hold check. I'm talking about ESPN check, volume check, advertising check, all of them. If she ever let me catch on with one of them dresses on. One of them on sundress and slip dress.
Starting point is 02:04:02 Hold on. All your money, you done spent, you done named every, the volume? Volume? Club Shea Shea check? Club Shea Shea? First day check? Yes. You bet.
Starting point is 02:04:15 Get it all. Oh, we can't have you, we can't, listen. You can't have you getting all your money away like that. You better let me see those slip, those sundress slip. Man, Ocho. And when they work out and the glue's kind of like, I mean, some of them,
Starting point is 02:04:33 the way it gets up and down, like they're shaking hands, like a second hand. Yeah. Lord have mercy. I'm with you when you're right I gotta be careful what I say cause you can hear me don't worry about it
Starting point is 02:04:49 stay with me baby it's something about a woman in a sundress now look when they got them shorts on in the gym and they're walking out in them little spandex shorts I know what you're talking about but when they got on that old slip dress
Starting point is 02:05:05 or that sun dress, man. Listen, I can't get into the conversation like I want to because... But if I was Magic, the sun would be out. It would be like Alaska all the time. 23 hours of sunlight.
Starting point is 02:05:21 Yeah, man. Yeah. What? I don't think she can hear me, but I know what you're talking about. Yeah, man. Yeah. What? I don't think she can hear me, but I know what you're talking about. Yeah, man. One of those sunglasses on Ocho? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:32 Man, I caught one about seven, eight years ago, told her, you cook, I marry you. Did you shake the covers? What? For dark. Man, she cooking, man, she cooking, she cooking man, she cooking she cooking oxtail, fried up bacon
Starting point is 02:05:50 sausage grits. What? Hey. You can flat out. Hey. That helper could cook. She can cook. And I know she watching. I know she watching too. I know you watching. I'm talking about you. Yeah. And I know she watching. I know she watching too. I know you watching.
Starting point is 02:06:06 I'm talking about you. Yeah. And they see that is what you need to go back and rekindle with. That is a type of flame you need to try to light again. Because there's something
Starting point is 02:06:18 special about that. I'm looking at the passion in which you explain in the situation and whoever this individual may be but that's not not the one is that that uh she's a look come on now don't hold back now no oh joe i i think the thing is like look i think we'll be let me get let me get comfortable now we We're bed office friends. And, you know, there was a lot of there was some animosity in the beginning
Starting point is 02:06:50 of the breakup. But I think over time, for me, I have never had a problem admitting I was wrong. I was wrong. You're good with accountability. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:04 I commend you. I i commend you i demand it i can be okay i demand it i demand it and because i ask others to be accountable therefore i must be accountable wait wait wait wait you asked a woman to take accountability i do she just because just because she doesn't, doesn't mean I shouldn't. Okay, okay. I was finna say it, but now you know.
Starting point is 02:07:29 One thing they don't do, they ain't take no accountability and they ain't gonna apologize. I can't remember, I can't say the last time. Damn, man. I'm sorry. You know what?
Starting point is 02:07:40 I messed up. I'm taking all accountability for all actions. Yeah, I was wrong. I was dead wrong. Okay, so you, i was i was wrong i was dead wrong okay so you okay i understand yeah but that that's the that's the thing i mean so yeah oh but that was a good old day man used to you know hey sometimes you got sometimes you got to really relive the good old days though man like like your family reunion or your class reunion you know sometimes you ain't
Starting point is 02:08:05 seen people in 10 years. And once you get back together, you spark something that you never knew that you never knew y'all had. I went to the class reunion. I went to my class reunion. I've only been able to go to one. And that was our 10 year reunion. And so in 21, we had our 30th, 35th anniversary. And I was I hadn't. So I didn't go to 15, 20, 25, 30 didn't go to 35 but but you know what I need to
Starting point is 02:08:33 I'm going to find me somebody that got a class reunion going up I'm going to see if people recognize me I want to go back and go to theirs you know people are going to recognize you they're probably going to say well how the hell did you land here because you know people are going to recognize it. They're probably going to say, well, how the hell did you land him? Because, you know, I'm the one that, hey, I'm Moby Dick.
Starting point is 02:08:51 I'm the one that they tell you. But, you know, the fish, man, I had one bigger than this one. Yeah. I'm the Moby Dick that got away. They keep getting away. Okay. So when I show up to a class reunion or a family reunion. Yeah. Him, he family reunion. Yeah. Him? He?
Starting point is 02:09:08 Yeah. Yeah. You see what she got on? She got that sundress on. That's why I'm here. Yeah, that's that boy. That's that boy. I got to be careful
Starting point is 02:09:18 because I got ears and eyes watching me. See, you talking about toes. See, you got them legs. I mean, you know, it's something about a workout body. It's something about it. Man, you ain't got to mean, you know, it's something about a workout body. It's something about it. Man, you ain't got to tell me. Boy, you ain't got to tell me.
Starting point is 02:09:29 It's something about a workout body. Hey, listen. I'm with you. I'm with you when you're right. I know exactly where you're going with it. Man.
Starting point is 02:09:39 Yeah, she... Yeah. What's up, dude? I'm looking... I'm trying to spark my memory like yeah he didn't say nothing see keep it cute now
Starting point is 02:09:54 I don't even like my couch yeah it was a good old day though it was a good old day though Joe you guys went to my yo went to my... Yo, went to my sister's gender reveal party today.
Starting point is 02:10:09 If I was your son and I didn't want kids or marriage at all, how would you feel? Some folks asked me about that when I answered them. They looked at me funny. Look, as a matter of fact, happy birthday to KJ. It's my grandson's, my first grandson. It's his birthday. Hey, he a matter of fact, happy birthday to KJ. It's my grandson. My first grandson. It's his birthday.
Starting point is 02:10:28 Hey, he a Capricorn. He's also LeBron. It's LeBron's birthday. Happy birthday, go James. It's Tiger Woods' birthday today. Happy birthday, Tiger. At the end of the day, I'm fortunate I have a grand. And my oldest daughter, I know she wants kids.
Starting point is 02:10:46 My youngest daughter, take it or leave it. But at the end of the day, I'm not going to force my beliefs off on them. Now, had I had to do over, I probably had the kids that I got been from one woman. But, you know, like you said, I was being fast. I was out there being managed. But, you know, like you said, Ocho, I was being fast. I was out there being managed. And things didn't quite work out like I wanted. But at the end of the day, I want my kids to do what's going to make them happy. And if kids make them happy, I mean, it's a great... But like
Starting point is 02:11:25 he's saying, Uncle J said, he don't know if kids are for him. You got to do what's for you, now. Hey, see, people want you to have them kids. They ain't going to take care of them kids. Take care of them? Nah. Ain't going to do that. Ain't going to do that. And you got time. I mean,
Starting point is 02:11:42 you know, I mean, my kids are a little older now, so they get to... I remember like, I don't want no kids, you know, but, but I think for the most part, I think my oldest and my son, I think they always wanted kids. My, my youngest, like my youngest, like she, she like really career oriented. And I'm like, okay, babe, you know, you're going to look up and then, you know, at worst case scenario, freeze your eggs. You can always, you know, if you don't find the right guy,
Starting point is 02:12:10 you can always go to a donor. Yeah. But at the end of the day, whatever, make whatever going to make them happy. So I'm not here to like, oh, you need to do this or do that. That's not what I'm here for.
Starting point is 02:12:20 I'm just here to be a parent. And you ask my advice. I'm going to give you my advice. But on culture, Jay, you got to do what's best for ask my advice. I'm going to give you my advice, but on culture, Jay, you got to do what's best for you, bro. Cause they kids ain't cheap.
Starting point is 02:12:30 They ain't cheap. And that's, that's a, and that ain't no 18 year investment. You know, it ain't, you know, a,
Starting point is 02:12:35 my grandfather was like, okay, you got 1830. When you're 18 birthday, you got 30 days to get the hell up out of my house. It ain't like, it ain't like that. No,
Starting point is 02:12:44 but hey, you, that's a get the hell up out of my house. It ain't like that no more, Ocho. That's a lifetime commitment. That's a lifetime. You dead forever. And so with things ain't going right, they calling. Money jump, money jump, funny, they calling. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:04 Trevor Hellsper said, Uncle Ocho love the show and roll time my wife sarah and i expect my first child to be born in a few days a boy katie uh what's the most challenging rewarding part of being a new parent happy new year the most challenging part of being a new parent obviously i have a i have a one-year-old so I started fresh even though I have 84 other kids. I started fresh because I wanted to get that full-time experience as a father. But the one thing that you have to rely on and work on is getting the baby in routine with your schedule. Yes.
Starting point is 02:13:39 When you up, keep them up. When you sleep, put them asleep you just once the baby gets into that routine even at early stage is you'll have so much peace you have so much peace I'm very very very very experienced in this area if you need any any any help if you need any instructions I have YouTube tutorials on how to do how to deal with infants one-year-old two-year-olds and three-year-olds you can check out my youtube channel on how to deal with infants, one-year-old, two-year-olds, and three-year-olds. You can check out my YouTube channel on how to deal with kids. And lots of Cocomelon
Starting point is 02:14:11 in Grace's Corner. To see that you would have on creating a life. And to see that, that little person is just so dependent on you. And to know that
Starting point is 02:14:45 you want to try to shield it from all the mistakes that you made, realizing that's impossible, but that doesn't stop you from trying. And even, even when like me and the mom would have a disagreement, it's like, damn. I just wanted to like be the best that I could. be the best that I could. I realized I wasn't going to be perfect because at that time,
Starting point is 02:15:28 football and getting my grandmother out of that situation and having a life for them for the rest of their lives, that was really important to me. But I mean, sometimes I would go and I would see them sleeping and be tempted to wake them up to me but I mean sometimes I would go and I would see them sleeping and
Starting point is 02:15:46 be tempted to wake them up just to hold them but nah y'all had been up so much hell I'm gonna let y'all sleep hopefully y'all sleep for about 15 hours that's a great feeling and then the best feeling is Ocho is that when they're able to walk
Starting point is 02:16:04 and to really understand and can talk and can tell you. First steps. Man. First steps, a classic. That's a classic moment. As a matter of fact, what's the individual name who asked the question? Who's having his first? What's his name?
Starting point is 02:16:18 Trevor Hillsborough. Oh, Trevor. Trevor, this is another thing. I don't mean to be in your personal business, but in the Bible, I'm not going to preach right now, but I'm just going to tell you something real quick that you and your wife need to take heed to in the Bible. It says that odd numbers are not good and it's bad luck. So as soon as she gives birth, Trevor, you need to get back in there. You need to get back in there and one more child. One more child. Let's have two. Let's have two and get it out the way now.
Starting point is 02:16:49 I'm not sure if you guys even want two kids. Doesn't matter what you want because the Bible says odd numbers are bad luck. So, I need you to get back in there. Have another. Now, I also have an audio book
Starting point is 02:17:00 if you have more than one child. So, you have my YouTube tutorials on how to deal with young kids and you also have than one child. So, you have my YouTube tutorials on how to deal with young kids and you also have my audio book. So, you know, Google that stuff and I'm here for you if you need help. Again, the key to it, having kids at a young age
Starting point is 02:17:15 is getting them on your routine. When you're up, you force them to stay up. When it's time to sleep, you put them to sleep. But you know what, Ocho? It's a job you don't get paid for. You don't get no
Starting point is 02:17:29 holidays. You don't get no vacation. No. It's just all work. Oh, yeah. It's a very thing because for the most part, if you're doing your job right, kids gonna hate you from the jump. Because, see, my thing was I was never trying to be my kid's friend.
Starting point is 02:17:45 You know, oh, that's my friend. My mom's my... No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now, once we get to a certain age, but I established early on the dynamic ain't going to change. I'm dad, you're the child. And so, but I...
Starting point is 02:18:04 It's like once they get to a certain age and they can understand and they can comprehend that's also a time they be talking crazy boy girl yeah but had had i tried to raise my kid like my granny and my mom that wouldn't work with you I've been in jail yeah listen my grandma was quick she slapped Taysa at you
Starting point is 02:18:35 you say something slick my grandma be done got close to you wow but uh Trevor good luck My grandma be done got close to you. Mm-hmm. Wow. But, uh, it's, uh, Trevor, good luck. I'm sure you guys are prepared. Get back in there.
Starting point is 02:18:53 Uh, love, previous RN asks, Ocho, where can I send my application just to go out on a date with her? And can you pay for dinner? Can I pay for dinner? Oh, she gonna pay for it. Yeah. Yeah, listen, listen. You got you one right there now.
Starting point is 02:19:09 Yeah. Well, I'm going to the seafood tower. I want lobster. You know what comes? I ain't going to say that. See, you got to worry about me. I'm allergic to shellfish. So I ain't going to get no.
Starting point is 02:19:27 You know what come with lobster? Man, go ahead, Ocho. That was classic. That night was classic. That was classic. Jordan Hackley, what's up? Shannon, Chad, big fan of the show. I have a question for you, Ocho.
Starting point is 02:19:46 How did you end up in Monica's Everything to Me music video? Oh, you know, I was a video vixen back in the day. How'd that happen? I did a little bit of everything. Yeah, you know, I did a little bit of acting. You know, I did a little amateur, you know what? I mean, that's a whole other story when I was in college. And then it transitioned into being a video vixen.
Starting point is 02:20:08 So, I'm really well-rounded and very cultured. So, I've really been around the block and done everything, you know, and I consider that a job. It paid me a little something in the off-season. And you know what else Ocho, man? I enjoyed it. What's happening? Time to cut you off. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:20:28 Man, I should have told that. Man, you know how many people... Ocho, I ain't gonna lie. Do you know people come up with that? I mean, I've had women... Yeah. ...to ask me. About me?
Starting point is 02:20:39 No. Talk about that. You wouldn't let me order no lobster on the first date. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a great topic. That was the running conversation on Twitter for about,
Starting point is 02:20:54 yeah, two weeks now, two, three weeks. Man. That was funny, man. Even the pilot. I was on a flight. Right. Pilot be asking me questions. questions i mean i'm talking about i'm talking about that's one of the that's probably the question that i mean probably the most question that women ask can i call can i address you as on can i call you up they ask me
Starting point is 02:21:20 about about the uh about the about the lobster. And they asked, you really get upset? I mean, you really make your partner go to another room to pass gas? Yeah. Absolutely. Boy, them was classic topics. Classic. Zane buried his brother from Mississippi.
Starting point is 02:21:45 You and Ocho, y'all need to come to Hattiesburg and eat some real Southern cooking. Zane, what y'all putting down? You know what, Ocho, maybe we do that What? Maybe we have a contest And they cook, prepare They let us see it And then we pick like four or five winners
Starting point is 02:22:05 and we go sit down and eat with them. I like that. I like that. Well, you said had them cook? Yeah, they got to cook something. They got to, hey, I need to see it. I thought you said you don't be eating everybody cooking though.
Starting point is 02:22:17 I don't. I really don't. Cause then I like to see, and you gotta, you gotta, I gotta see you the whole while. Right. I don't want to show up to nobody's house and your house dusted like rats riding around in dune buggies.
Starting point is 02:22:28 I ain't coming in. I ain't coming in. I like that. I'd rather just... I don't know. I don't really be eating people cooking like that. I'd rather just go out somewhere. I'd rather just meet up and go out somewhere to eat. Yeah, go to a restaurant. Preferably
Starting point is 02:22:43 for me, somewhere I can smoke my cigar. You eat off a lot of people's plate, and you know what I'm talking about. Who? I keep telling you, you cannot sit on the end of a branch and you cannot turn your head all the way around. You're not an owl. You eat off people's plate.
Starting point is 02:23:00 No, I don't. Yeah, you do. Name somebody's plate. I only eat off, I've been eating off one plate for the past four years. Yeah, I ain't talking about that. You ain't. Yeah, you do. Name somebody's plate. I only ate off, I only been eating, I been eating off one plate for the past four years. Yeah, I ain't talking about that. You ain't four years old, though. So what about the other 30 years
Starting point is 02:23:11 that you been eating off people's plate? Actually, the other 30 years don't even count because the other 30 years got me prepared for the moment I'm in now. Nah. See, you be,
Starting point is 02:23:19 you be. Oh, I know you a pro. Baby, I got him, baby, I got him. Yeah, I know you a pro at it. Yeah, I'm talking my shit, baby. Yeah. She in there cheering for me. I mean, that joke was here.
Starting point is 02:23:32 I'm trying, listen, I'm trying to get out of the doghouse now. Stay with me, baby. Why are you at the doghouse? Oh, for the comments we were making earlier. I ain't said that. You ain't said that. I tried to tone it down. Stall him out, real.
Starting point is 02:23:43 Stall him out. Oh, that's Debo in there, boy. That's Debo. That is Debo. Yeah, you need to. But I'm just saying, man. I mean, I'm just saying, Ocho, you just need to, what you call it, man? You just need to stop.
Starting point is 02:24:00 I mean, I can't believe that, man. I mean, that's what stopped me. I can't. I stopped drinking. I mean, that's what stopped me. I can't. I stopped drinking. I mean, because when we grew up, Ocho, we grew up in a time that, you know, we played on a team. Hey, man, let me get a swig of that.
Starting point is 02:24:15 You drank behind somebody. Right. And I just found out. I found out. And then somebody was talking. I was like, huh? Man, sharp. Let me tell you. Yeah. I said, okay. You know, I'm listening, huh? Man, sharp. Let me tell you. I said, okay, I'm listening.
Starting point is 02:24:27 So now you got my attention. Undivided attention. I said, you did all that, huh? First night? Yeah, man. I just, oh, yeah, okay. Okay. Hey, I had my own cup from that point
Starting point is 02:24:44 on. Oh, you can't think like that, Uncle Man. I think like that. But I'm just saying you can't think like that. I can. I will. Okay, you're not living, my Uncle. You're alive, but you ain't living. That's your mouth.
Starting point is 02:24:57 I don't want to taste nothing that you had in it. You alive, but you ain't living. I'm living. No, you ain't. Ocho, not the first Ocho. I get living. No, you ain't. Ocho. Not the first Ocho. I get it. I get it. The first night.
Starting point is 02:25:07 What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? When you want to, when that BMW got, that BMW EV, you saw it, you wanted it, right? Yeah, that thing died.
Starting point is 02:25:17 When it was time, it took away. Yeah, you like, yeah. Didn't you test drive it? Did you test drive it first? No. No. You just bought it? I ain't never test drive. I ain't never test drive it? Did you test drive it first? No. No. You just bought it?
Starting point is 02:25:26 I ain't never test drive. I ain't never test drive a car. I see it, I want it. Hold on. So you see it, you want it, right? Yeah. But when it comes to a woman, oh, you got to, you got to,
Starting point is 02:25:36 you got to wait. Oh, the first night. Oh, it's a big deal. That's different. Oh, how is it different? That's different. Because it's something you want. That's what I remember with Red.
Starting point is 02:25:47 With Red, with Debo beat up Red Yeah And he asked him why they didn't help him When he was behind the house rolling dice He said that was different That's different Okay, I got you I got you I mean, I'm just saying, Ocho
Starting point is 02:25:58 I'm just saying, Ocho Can we work towards something? What are we working to? What are we working towards? Ocho Unc We in our 50s, man Can we work towards something? What are we working to? What are we working towards? I mean, Ocho. Unc, we in our 50s, man.
Starting point is 02:26:08 We ain't got time to be going through the goddamn rigmarole, you know, the smoke and mirrors. Like, what you trying to do? We grown.
Starting point is 02:26:17 Like, listen, Unc, when we- He might not be no good cook. Teenagers, I understand. Teenagers, you know, you're in 20s,
Starting point is 02:26:24 you know, early 30s, you got time to waste and play that game. Y'all done ruined it. Y'all done ruined it. Y'all done ruined it. Y'all done ruined it. That's the expectation now. I remember women,
Starting point is 02:26:37 they would wait like three or four months for that. Three, four, what? Yes! Three, four months? That's what they used to wait. for that. Three-fold what? Yes! Three-fold months for three-fold months. That's what they used to wait. Nah, you must be... What kind of music you listen to?
Starting point is 02:26:53 Look, in my era, that's what I was coming up. Nah, but ain't somebody lying to you. They ain't lying to me. Ain't nobody waiting no goddamn three-fold months. Three-fold months for who? They ain't waiting three, four hours. Because they
Starting point is 02:27:08 get into it. Today we have a better understanding that all that waiting, it makes no sense. There's no point in doing all that. Do you want to be with me? Do you want to be here? What's one of the most important things
Starting point is 02:27:23 in a union, in any union? One is financial security and financial stability. And two, will I be able to lay with your ass every goddamn night? If that area is not good, I can't do this.
Starting point is 02:27:40 I can't do it. So why waste your time? Why waste your time? Why we can't wait like two weeks, a month? A month. Two weeks, a month. Yeah. What's the difference? What's the difference in doing it on the first
Starting point is 02:27:52 and doing it on the 31st? I didn't say that we couldn't do it. I'm just saying do that. What's the difference? Why wait? The big difference. No, it ain't. First date.
Starting point is 02:28:03 When you go to the car wash, you get your car detailed, don't you? Mm-mm. Huh? I ain't. First date. When you go to the car wash, you get your car detailed, don't you? Huh? Hey, I don't get the full service. You haven't hit the rims. Sometimes I just drive it through. You go through the drive-thru,
Starting point is 02:28:14 I stay in the car. Nah, we don't do no cookies. No cookies. I don't do that. What I do, Ocho. Nah, because that's how you end up in the group chat. No cookies.
Starting point is 02:28:23 That's how you end up in the group chat. They talking about you. No, you can't do that. O in the group chat. No quickies. That's how you end up in the group chat. They talking about you. No, you can't do that. Ocho, let me ask you a question. Women, y'all need to stop that too. Oh, it wasn't that good. He ain't working with nothing. Did it go down?
Starting point is 02:28:39 Whether he had eight inches or he had a quarter of an inch, it happened. It don't matter. As long as it happened, huh? Y'all need to stop that. Y'all get mad and y'all say all kind of hateful, mean things. Uh-huh. Don't do that. Every time.
Starting point is 02:28:55 Just move it along. Every time. Just move along. Say, you know, it didn't work out. You know, I thought he was a nice guy, but it wasn't happening. Y'all go, y'all see, because men have attached, you know, sexual proudness.
Starting point is 02:29:11 And so women try to break that. Can't break my spirit. Hmm. You're right. Can't break my spirit. They hurt me. We know what happened. Do we know what happened?
Starting point is 02:29:30 We are finalizing our Super Bowl plans and need to know how many nightcap fans will be in Vegas and will be interested in purchasing tickets to our live show. Going to be in Vegas and we're going to do a live show. So we need to kind of
Starting point is 02:29:45 put this thing together to get the size of the venue to make sure because we won't. Where we going to do it at? That's why we want to get a gauge of how many people that's going to be in Vegas and would like to come purchasing tickets to the live show. I'm wearing a suit.
Starting point is 02:30:02 I don't know about you. I ain't wearing no suit. I'm wearing a suit. Go ahead. I'm going to have my shirt open. I'm going to have my shirt open, have my little chest hair showing. I'm wearing a suit with my good shoes. They expect me to be in a t-shirt and I ain't going to disappoint them.
Starting point is 02:30:22 I'm going to be in a suit. How are you going to be in a t-shirt? That's you dressed It's 2024 You said I need to grow up I need you to be in a suit and be presentable For these people in Vegas It ain't going to happen I'm in Vegas
Starting point is 02:30:35 I'm wearing a t-shirt Wait, do you see the t-shirt I got for tomorrow? It's a special one Alright, I'm going to wear a t-shirt tomorrow too how you jump from Vegas wear the suit to wear the t-shirt tomorrow because we're not even in 2024 yet so I really shouldn't be talking
Starting point is 02:30:54 about 2024 yet I need to be focused on the work we have to do before 2023 ends uh Tonya Redding funny thing is, men talk more than women. Some of them do. I ain't gonna lie to you, Tonya. You're right.
Starting point is 02:31:09 You're absolutely right. Some of them talk more and that's another problem that I got. Y'all quick to oh yeah, man. I don't care. So you think because you did that, that's gonna prevent me.
Starting point is 02:31:24 I ain't got nothing to to prevent me. And I ain't. That ain't got nothing to do with me. Whatever happened before I came in the picture, ain't got nothing to do with me. Let me tell y'all something, guys. If you think by telling me that, oh, man, I used to mess with her, that's going to stop me, all you doing is picking me up and putting me right in front of them. So if you think that's deterring me
Starting point is 02:31:48 that's putting obstacles speed breakers walls barriers a prison blah blah it ain't. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:31:55 It's not. So I don't even want to hear that. I don't even know why you first of all you're grown and you're talking like you're in high school. Yeah. Who need to know that?
Starting point is 02:32:05 I mean I mean a lot of guys do that, obviously, during these times to deter women from dealing with certain individuals. Yeah. To deter the guy from entertaining a certain woman, you know, by saying, or I call it, I think the kids call it throwing salt on someone's name. It's unfortunate. I think the kids call it throwing salt on someone's name. It's unfortunate. Obviously, I haven't been in those situations, being that I've been kind of off the market like Boston for a while now.
Starting point is 02:32:35 Well, that was bars. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You heard that bar? You heard that bar? Yeah. I'm getting ready to get into battle rap, so I'll be having all type of schemes. You just have to catch them as we talk.
Starting point is 02:32:47 But yeah, yeah, it's a dirty game. It always has been. Yeah, but I don't know. But Ocho, no matter what, this is through my experience. I don't care what another man says about a man or a woman. If that woman want that guy, she gonna get him. I don't care if you say he slept with a thousand women
Starting point is 02:33:09 in the last 24 hours. She say, well, I'm about to be a thousand and one. Yep, because she want to know. If he was able to sleep with a thousand, I want to know why he was able to. Right. And if you say something about another dude or if you say something about that woman, all they do like, oh.
Starting point is 02:33:28 It's just best to keep it to yourself. Keep it to yourself. Curiosity kills the cat. But they, man, they, they, they, y'all don't got to win. It used to be, it used to be whatever you did, you did. Now they got to, man, y'all talk too much. All of y'all, men and... Man, y'all talk too much. All of y'all, men and women, all y'all talk too effing much.
Starting point is 02:33:48 Not me. Keep your mouth closed. Why you telling? Yeah. Why you snitching? Dry snitching. Because most of the time, ain't nobody even ask you.
Starting point is 02:33:59 Dry snitching. Unprompted answers. Ain't nobody ask you, did you know me? Ain't nobody ask you, did you... Oh, yeah. nobody ask you, did you? Oh yeah, you know back in the day. Shut up! Yeah.
Starting point is 02:34:14 They make me mad, Ocho. I ain't gonna lie, Ocho. DB says, Shay Ocho love y'all. I struggle finding a woman Through social media How does it work Should I just focus on myself
Starting point is 02:34:28 And let one come to me Whoa whoa whoa How you struggling Finding a woman on social media Yeah what I want to know For one You can go outside You can find them there
Starting point is 02:34:36 You can find them on social media You can find women in church You can find women at the library You can find women at the gas station There's so many places You can find women I don't find women at the library Cause I ain't going That shouldn't Huh You ain't going at the library. You can find women at the gas station. There's so many places you can find women. I don't find women at the library because I ain't going. That shouldn't...
Starting point is 02:34:47 Huh? You ain't going to the library? Hell no. Okay. But I'm talking about Buddy. Buddy, Buddy. Women's everywhere. But one you got, it's so easy to find, but it's all about staying within your lane.
Starting point is 02:34:58 Stay within your salary cap. Yeah. Stay within your financial lane and you'll be fine. All these women on social media, those are what I like to call salary cap casualties. You don't want them problems. You want to stay within and under the cap.
Starting point is 02:35:13 Sometimes below the cap. Right now, the Bengals are $84 million below the cap. Sometimes you got to go that route to have an efficient team. You know, you, Joe Burrow. Get you one that just got released. Yeah. Right there. Get you onerow. Get you one, get you one that just got released. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:35:26 Right there. Get you one that's vulnerable. Yeah, get you one that just got released. Get you one that's vulnerable, dude just left crying. And listen, you ain't got to go for no 10. You don't need a 10.

Starting point is 02:35:47 Get your six when she just, you know, chilling. But when she put her clothes on, she about a seven, eight and a half. Boom. You set. You set. You ain't got to worry about everybody trying to holler.
Starting point is 02:35:58 I mean, everybody ain't trying to holler at no six. You're comfortable. That's a lot. It all depends. It all depends, Ocho. I can go get a... I. I can go get a woman. I guarantee I can go get a woman right now, 500 pounds.
Starting point is 02:36:09 And the mere fact Shannon Sharpe would have somebody else going to want her. There ain't nobody thinking about her. That's how it operate. You think about this. And I tell the story all the time. My first college girlfriend, I watched her walk across the yard. I told my college roommate at the time, I said, that's going to be my girlfriend. Starting point is 02:38:52 Yeah. I hustled her from the day I saw her. I started, I hustled her. I said, God dang, man. Well, maybe everybody was scared to say something, but when they saw you say something. So all of a sudden, now they got courage. Now they got confidence. Right. No, but when they saw you say something... So all of a sudden, now they got courage. Now they got confidence. Right. Nah, but
