Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode is brought to you by prize picks. You and I make decisions every day, but on prize picks, being right can get you paid. Don't miss any of the excitement this football season on prize picks, where it's good to be right. It's officially that time of year. You might lose hope in your team, but don't worry, that's why we have prize picks to keep you going. Week 5 of football was something special. Tampa's comeback, Philly lost their first game. Don't even get me started on my Baltimore squad.
Starting point is 00:00:25 I'm feeling good about Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Tampa squad. but after this week's game, I'm all in on Baker touchdowns, more, more, more. Prize picks is simple to play. Just pick more or less on at least two players' stats. If you get your picks right, you could cash in. Prize fix is the only app that offers you stacks, meaning you can pick the same player up to three times in the same lineup. Want to pick more on Baker-Mayfield's past yards, rush yards, touchdowns? Now you can pick all of them in the same lineup, only on prize picks.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Download the prize pick app today. Use Coach Shannon to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That's Coach Shannon to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks, it's good to be right. Oh, that's a commercial's boy. Hmm?

Starting point is 00:04:22 The Patriots, oh, Joe, very, very, very interesting game. Very good game. Man, that was a barn burner. The Patriots go to Buffalo and they win. Drake May, 22 or 30, 273. He didn't have a touchdown. He didn't have an interception, a clean game. He was snack four times, but man, Stefan Diggs gets his revenge.
Starting point is 00:04:46 He played out of his mind. He's catch it for a buck 46. Josh Allen, 22 or 31, 253, 2.3. two touchdowns, one interception. Dalton Kincaid led them with six catches for a buck or eight, but I thought the Patriots played unbelievable and they won and they deserve to win this game. There are no more unbeatens.
Starting point is 00:05:04 This was the last of the unbeatens and thanks to the New England Patriots. They go into Buffalo and come away with a hard fought road division win, Ocho. We'll see how this thing shapes up as we move forward down the line. But, hey, New England has to be proud of what they were able to do on the road. what did you like about what you saw from the Patriots? Listen, what I like from the Patriots would Drake make everything. Can you hear me on?
Starting point is 00:05:33 Oh, you got to charge some things up, baby. Let me know you can hit me. Hello? Yeah, I can hear you now. Can you hit me? I hear nothing. We got time. Chat, can you hear me, chat?
Starting point is 00:06:05 No, he's been... If I'm gonna dream. Chat, can you hear me? Yeah, well, you good. That was on my in, Ocho. Okay, okay, okay. You good. you're good, you're good. Let me know you're ready.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I'm good. Go ahead. So what I like from the Patriots was a quarterback play. Yep. Quarterback played. Because if you look around the league, right, I'm going to get back to the page. If you look around the league, all the teams that have a chance in winning have a quarterback. They have consistent play at the position. There's a reason if you watch all the games today, including tonight's game, to have a chance to win and compete. You need a quarterback. That's it. Drake May, phenomenal game. It seemed like the offense basically was
Starting point is 00:06:54 filtered in this game through Stefan Diggs, showing that he's still capable of playing. He's still capable of making plays. And he showed out tonight. Drake May had a clean, had a very clean game. Buffalo, obviously, some unfortunate turnovers. The Patriots had turnovers as well. What's Stevens's his first name? Remandre. Yeah, yeah. He has a some costly turnos, but it didn't affect them when it comes to winning the game. It could have been costly. Outside of that, the Patriots played a really, really good game, especially on defense as well. They did a great job of containing Josh and containing those receivers.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Wherever they got, wherever they caught the ball at, they made sure they didn't do a great get run after the catch. I think Shakura got away one time, but you're right, Ocho. When you have a quarterback, when you have a quarterback, when you have a, a calming. I mean, you look at the way Drake May played in a hostile environment against a division rival. He was 22 or 30, 273. Although he didn't throw a touchdown, he didn't turn the ball over. He didn't put the ball in harm's way. The last thing that you can do is turn the ball over. Now, it negated, I mean, you mentioned Remandre
Starting point is 00:08:07 Stevenson. He turned the ball over, but when you get three turnibles, when you force three, now you greatly increase your chances of winning because you offset, now you're plus two. You could have been plus three, but you're plus two in the turnover battle. Buffalo did not, you know, I wasn't surprised that James Cook couldn't get going because the Patriots are really good against the run. I'm very good. Defensive-minded head coach, he was a great, he was a, look, I played against Brable. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:36 And he was solid, Ocho. If he was supposed to be in the flat, he had his ass in the flat. If he was supposed to be in the hook, he was going to be in the hook. If his job was to set the edge, you weren't going to hook him. So, and he coaches, he asks his players to be smart. He asks his players to be disciplined, and you can see it coming through. They played really well. The Patriots are going to be, look, I thought the Patriots would be good if they got a head coach.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yes, sir. Because that quarterback has, he has it. Great potential. But brave, but bravo, man. And they got a guy, a number one receiver in Stefan Diggs, that made every play that needed to be made tonight. They had him for a sack. He was just trying to throw the ball away. And somehow he gets in the digs and digs picks up 14 yards.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And that was the start. Sometimes, don't show in a situation, too many to drill like that. Yes, sir. That's the start you need. You need that one positive plate to start to drive to kick it off. You get you going to. You know what? And it might, we're going to win this game, man.
Starting point is 00:09:34 That ain't supposed to happen like that. Not at all. And they got it going from there. But you had to be impressed with what you saw from the Patriots. Now, hell, I'm thinking about how did y'all lose two games when y'all play like this? Yeah, most definitely. And the funny thing about it is I like the jump, the jump that Drake May is made from year one to year two.
Starting point is 00:09:53 And having games like this is only going to continue to build his confidence. And when you have games like this, if you have an officer coordinator like Josh Daniels, and you're able to make some of the throws you made the night, to have a clean game like this, he can add more to your plate. He can add more to your plate and you can do more offensively. So the Patriots are going to be held to deal with for the foreseeable future, as long as Drake may continue to stay upright and stay healthy and you have players like
Starting point is 00:10:19 As long as they don't turn the ball over They're going to be all right They're going to be alright At the end of the day is still about turnovers Yes most definitely Most definitely We just leave it through the computer You just purchase some new ones
Starting point is 00:10:35 I don't know what's going on with those Oh, Joe, you got me? Yeah, I got you, baby. I'm here. Yeah, my AirPods shot. So I'm coming through the computer right now. You're good. I'm coming through the computer, too.
Starting point is 00:10:55 You good? No, you look, Buffalo, I don't look. Yeah, you're turning the ball over. Yeah. They had three, right? three Josh fumble he threw a pick Jones made a great jump on the ball but when you bro when you um and what Josh had done say the last 15 16 games yeah done a great job of taking out of football you've been clean huh you've been
Starting point is 00:11:22 clean and that's the way because these teams it's hard for you to turn the ball over and win in today's game yes yes because for the most part you're going up against a team they got a quarterback that I'm not saying Drake May, obviously Drake May is not on the level of Josh Allen, but he can play well enough if you give them, let them be plus two. And you can't put him in harm's way. You're going to catch hell beating them.
Starting point is 00:11:48 You know what the good thing is? When you have a quarterback like Josh Allen, he's one of the few quarterbacks that can have a three turnover game and still overcome it. Overcome it, yes. You can still overcome it because of how well that team is running some of the plays that he can make, not only with his arm, but hey, you can make it win his legs, too.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Yes. They did a great job of neutralizing his legs tonight, Ocho. He did have a long of 19, but 9 for 53. It really didn't hurt him. They did a great job of containing him. He didn't beat him. They didn't give up the big chunky runs to James Cook. But I thought the Patriots, they deserved to win this game.
Starting point is 00:12:22 They did a great job getting the ball. Forcing Buffalo to settle for the field goal and not getting in the end zone and needing a touchdown in order to win the ball game. So give their defense credit because when they needed to bow their back and they did, they held them to what? Made them kick, what, two field goals? Yeah, two field goals that could have easily, you know, turning the touchdown because that's what the bills normally do.
Starting point is 00:12:48 When they get down there because Josh is so dynamic with his legs and his arm, they put you under the gun. But the Patriots today was able to neutralize that. It's like, nah, bro, no, we're not, we're not going for that today. But the Buffalo Bills get a very tough victory on the road against a division upon it by the score of 2320. They basically walk it off. He was 10 seconds left.
Starting point is 00:13:09 And so unless something unforeseen were to happen, they weren't going to win this game. So, you know what else? Congratulations. They got people's attention, Ocho. Yeah, absolutely. And you know what else I like about Drake May 2? What's the one thing?
Starting point is 00:13:24 The one thing a defense tried to do to rattle a young quarterback, especially only in his second year. you bring pressure you bring pressure and every time they bought pressure he found a way to beat every time
Starting point is 00:13:37 even though he was getting flushed out the pocket because there was always a man that was free that was coming he still found a way to make a play and if there wasn't anything there he didn't put the ball in harm's way oh yeah
Starting point is 00:13:52 they but Buffalo goes to five, four, and one. The Patriots move up to three and two. See how this thing shapes out. I still believe Buffalo is the class of that division. But it probably is not going to be as easily as we previously thought. No. Oh, Cho. Didn't I tell you? What? Bronco country. Hey, hey, back on, listen, do me a favor. This is, now what you're going to have to do, this is the one game I wasn't able to see. This is the one game I wasn't able to watch.
Starting point is 00:14:26 because while they were playing, obviously I was giving my pep talk to my team in the locker room, so I wasn't able to. You might not, we just want to talk to him anymore. Not, man, this is the one game I couldn't see, but you got there. You got to give me, give me in context what happened, how the game went, why they. Marlco's defense dominated. Okay. They sack Jaylon hurt six times.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Six? Six times. And don't tell them how many passes they batted down. Go down. You're talking about they sack J-Laylor's six times. Six times. Bonito got him two and a half times. Hold on with that offensive line? Six times.
Starting point is 00:15:06 We got the best, that front folk we got? Yeah. Get home. Got it home. Okay, okay. Sequin, Sequin had six carries for 30 yards. They had 11 rushes for 45 yards. So what they did is that they listened to y'all.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Man, throw the ball, throw the ball, throw the ball. That's not what they do. Right. They throw when they want to. when they have to. And even though the Broncos let them get out there, they had a 17-3 lead. Broncos said, no, we're going to shut y'all down.
Starting point is 00:15:34 We're going to get y'all down. How many yards they have the second half? If you take that last drive out, because at one point, I think they had like 40 yards in the second half. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait. Let me catch up, Nack, you're talking too fast. Go ahead, go ahead. They had a 17-3 lead.
Starting point is 00:15:48 The Eagles had a 17-3 lead. 17-3. Let me tell you how confident the Broncos were. they scored and went for two did they get it got it 1817 then they kicked the field goal wait so at at one point if they were 17 3 did they get it was 17 to 3 they scored a touchdown made it 17 10 scored another touchdown went for two to make it 18 17 okay stopped them made them punt go three and out got the ball back drove down the field kick the field goal So they went up 17.3, right?
Starting point is 00:16:27 The way they got up 17.3, was it on the ground or through the air? Or was a combination of both? They read like a double move just on Sequot. Sequine motioned out the backfield, kind of made like a double move on the linebacker where he ran out of swung out the backfield and made like a double move, beat the linebacker for a 47-yard touchdown.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Dallas Guarded caught one. You know, they run that zone read, and then the tight end like he's going to block, but he slides to the flag. Oh, yeah. He got a couple times. But it wasn't really nothing. I mean, no big plays.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Man, I was watching A.J. Brown. Yes, sir. Man, A.J. ran a slant, a under, and a sluggled. That's the only thing I saw him running. Wait, he didn't run the curl? He ran the curl, too. A slant, or under, and a sluggler. That's it?
Starting point is 00:17:15 That's it. And we had, look, they taken advantage of Riley Moss. Riley Moss, I mean, most of the yards came on Riley Moss. Right. He gave up a deep play to Devontee and whoever else. But hey, but you know number two. Ain't nobody getting nothing on him? Yeah, you got something on him.
Starting point is 00:17:34 They ran AJ on the under. And he kind of picked because, you know, he started there. And then Smitty run the rubs. And so he had to fight through that. But what, nothing happened. I was surprised how many times they sacked him. Right. The Broncos sack Jaylor heard six times
Starting point is 00:17:53 and batted down nine of his 38 passes. Benito led the way with two and a half sacks. He had six sacks in the past three games. He leads the league, if I'm not mistaken, with seven. The Eagles managed just 42 yards in the fourth quarter. That's including that drive, right? That's including that drive at the end of the game. 42 yards and total?
Starting point is 00:18:17 42. What do you think they should have done? done better. Should they have, they shouldn't have played the Broncos. They should have put the Broncos on the schedule. That's what they should have done. Yeah, let's start with that. Hold on. I'm trying, I'm trying to understand. What is it that the Eagles didn't do that they didn't do the Did you watch the Broncos Monday night? What they did to your team? They did worse. They did worse to the Eagles as far as bum rushing them. Right, but you have to understand my team is handicapped. So there's a reason why your Broncos beat us. So let's- Well, what was the Eagles
Starting point is 00:18:47 excuse? Because we did it to them two. Okay. Let's not beside ourselves now that's not just Cortland Sutton was mossing your guy Quinn yon Mawton did you say give me that well hold on he mousting you show
Starting point is 00:19:05 any kind of way I got to see I got to see the film do you can watch it I got to see the all 22 to get it all he follows Sutton around son had eight for 99 the whole game yep okay but listen
Starting point is 00:19:20 Listen, what's going to happen is when you have games like this, Keon missed it right now, the way he's playing, the way he's played the first three, four weeks, whatever it is. I forgot, week four, right? Week five. Okay, week, week five. His first four weeks, that young bull, young bull is in the conversation for top five. This early, this early in his career, he's very good. He's very technical.
Starting point is 00:19:41 He's phenomenal. Hey, listen, I hate to do a comparison, but I'm going to compare Keon Mitchell to somebody on the field. He's just like goddamn Denzel Ward. there from a technical standpoint and always in a position to make a play so if cordon sudden did have eight for eight for ninety nine or whatever it may have been maybe because jump ball would be his strength and that would yeah that wouldn't be keon's a strength because the advantage goes to cordon and sudden who is the taller bigger individual but um listen the he can lose a game the even could lose a game yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but but see now
Starting point is 00:20:15 now a j can get their attention yeah you see when we when we when we have to throw, and they know we have to throw, it's a different ball game. Yeah. You see, everybody, oh, no, bro, Sequin. People ain't going to let Sequine go crazy like he went last year. You know, Dickerson is in and out of the lineup with, you know, he got hurt, had the surgery, got nicked again, he's out. You're right guard, McCaibectin.
Starting point is 00:20:41 He led witness to charges. Lane Johnson, been dealing with stuff all year long, so he hasn't kind of been the Lane Johnson that we used to see. that's not that's not the same Eagles lineup right and so the what started at the beginning of the season they're taking their lumps and bruise they're taking some loves right now right they sack bow twice but I thought I thought overall he played well he missed the throw here there look he's only in his second year but to go on the road and do that in a hostile environment to the team that won the Super Bowl last year
Starting point is 00:21:15 the Broncos had to be they have to feel really good about what they've were able to do today. They'd like, if I'm Sean Payton, I'm saying, see, this is what we're capable of doing. Right. We, we don't have to take a back seat to anybody. When we have a great week of practice, when we pay attention to details, when we take care of what we're supposed to take care of, clean game, no turnovers. We can go, we can go on the road or we can be anybody anywhere at any time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah. I like it. I like it. Listen, what I wouldn't do is that would, I wouldn't get. too high up on my bridges, you know. Don't count your chicken before, don't, don't couch your egg before, don't count your chicken before the egg. How you said? How you said?
Starting point is 00:21:57 Out of saying, go. Don't count your chickens before they hatch? Yeah, don't, yeah, yeah, don't do that. Y'all, y'all want to, y'all want to get. Well, these already hatch. Listen, y'all, y'all, y'all be the Super Bowl champs. But when it comes time, when we talk about after Thanksgiving, when real football season starts,
Starting point is 00:22:12 we talk about playoff football, are y'all still going to be in the chase? Are y'all? I know who won't be in the chase. Y'all won't be, listen, first of all, Who is y'all? Who is y'all? Who is y'all? We talk about the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:22:22 We talk about the Broncos. Oh, we see where we are. You'll see what we are. Oh. Oh, y'all, you're two and three. Two and three? Who told you that? What y'all three and two?
Starting point is 00:22:36 Better than y'all. Whatever y'all are, we not. Okay, okay, okay. I don't know what we are. I don't know what we are up the top of my head. Right. We are what y'all aren't. So let me tell you something.
Starting point is 00:22:48 you excited you're excited we're all at right now you you're happy about today's wins everything i told you i said don't show y'all won your first two games and y'all losing the next three chat did i tell him that hold on hold on this is what you're not going to do this this is what we're not going to do see in the chat should have a better understanding for me for me i have to my faith is always going to lie with my bang would you hear me if i cut myself right now i'm going to bleed orange and black see that's what's going to happen so i understand i understand i don't understanding you understand as well our chances of continuously eating and winning games are solely based on our quarterback plan he's out he's out now i know he's out but i still have to
Starting point is 00:23:32 keep my faith and my love and my allegiance to my team unlike most people when the quarterback goes down they like to jump ship what a show right there When they're going to win another game? When they're going to win another game? Never. If there was any more time on the clock, whenever we get to that game, we'll talk about that. When we get to that game, we'll talk about that.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Boy, y'all could have played another four quarters. You better be glad they took a knee. Hey, be careful because if we played another four quarters, we might have come back and won that game. They could have played to tomorrow. And y'all still wouldn't win that game. You don't do that. You saw number six.
Starting point is 00:24:18 And number one, they started, they started getting that chemistry. They started to get going, huh? You saw that, right? And we are not- The high school class. Hold on, are we on the game now? Are we on a- No, we ain't on the game.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Man, there's nobody talking about no Bengals right now. We got other good games to talk about before we talk about them bums. Let me know. I'm about to get-jee. Okay, I'll let you know. Right now, you don't know. So I ain't let you know so you don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Let me put these on good guys, hell, hell, and fact. How y'all do it, chat? Yeah, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you show, hey, you show is happy by that goddamn, that goddamn, whoa, whoa, whoa, I mean, what happened? Hold on, don't you got to not do that you always, that you always praise, you always hooping and holland about? Well, I mean, whoa, whoa, oh, Cho, this is so unnecessary. Oh, no, I'm not, oh, my gosh, why?
Starting point is 00:25:09 Listen, I'm just saying, calm down. And you mighty happy by them Bronco, but we still got the team that you claim. I don't know what's going on, chat. I really don't. Oh, oh, don't worry about it. We get to it. What's the next game we're talking about? I mean, it's not that serious, Scott.
Starting point is 00:25:23 It's not that serious. Oh, it's serious. It's serious. But that's the Ravens, he'll be in the home and now. Wow. Whoa. We're discussing the Bronco.
Starting point is 00:25:32 We talk about Bronco country. We told, hey, that game is over. Let's talk about Saravis. Whoa. By them. Okay. Not AJ Brown, but Devonte Smith had plenty to say
Starting point is 00:25:44 about Jayland Hurts' lack of communication after the team's first loss. There are times looking at him and he may give a signal before we or after we look and ultimately we have to be on the same page we have to see that signal no matter what it's just the little things within the routes he may have seen something pre-snap and sometimes we didn't see it hurt said doesn't remember any of those things happening and that he'd like have to talk to smith to see what he's referencing oh joe first it was a j now devontay smith
Starting point is 00:26:18 are you surprised that because here's the thing oh cho now this is not a situation where devonte and a j smith are first year players uh jayl hirts is a first year player they've been together for three years this this what whatever he's referencing and we don't know uh jayl herts say i don't know what he's talking about but whatever the case may be there should not be miscommunication at this level and this time of the year with those three. Especially not in year three, too, not this. One of the things that a lot of Eagles fans, and I would love Eagle fans to understand, listen, as receivers, and they love that they use this moniker, oh, he's a diva, oh, he's selfish, no, all players, all players want to be
Starting point is 00:27:04 able to contribute on all players. Obviously, the winning is good. And you have a formula in the way you win, in the way you do things. That is the Eagle's success. That's the success. Obviously, the players, especially your 1A and your 1B, they want to contribute, and they want to want to be part of that. The fact that they run the ball so much, when it is time to throw, you want everything to be as perfect as possible. And it just hasn't been that. So the communication in which AJ and Devonte Smith and Jenna Hertz might be lacking, because that's not the focal point of the offense. It's not the focal point in the offense. So there might be some great areas in that area that are never really addressed because that's not the
Starting point is 00:27:48 way they do things in general. But listen, I think it's something that they will get fixed. I think it's something that they will get fixed, stuff like this. It shouldn't be, it shouldn't be out. It shouldn't be said publicly because it should be handled internally. But the fact that their focal point is always, we're the type of team. We're going to run the ball first. Right. Right. By everything else, if the run doesn't work and we have to abandon it. Which, I think that that's where the disconnect is. I me personally
Starting point is 00:28:20 Ocho I think Devante was trying to help Jaila by saying there was some miscommunication because if there's no miscommunication this is some bull diggedy so he was saying you know what maybe we missed a maybe we missed a signal or something that he saw something
Starting point is 00:28:36 that we didn't see maybe but if it's just now we just look this bad because they look bad they did there are stretches there where they look I was like, well, damn, did y'all practice? That bad? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Hold on. You said did they practice and they look bad when it came? Yes. I mean, there are stretches where they look that bad that you, that I question whether or not they had been practicing. When it comes to the passing game, you mean? Yes, yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:02 But teams are not going to let them run, Ocho. Right. And I said this, people think the way you win a Super Bowl one year, you're going to exactly come back and win it. No, they're not letting Sequin run for 150, 175, 200. like he did last year. Every game, after every game, Eagles game, we come in here, Sequant did something spectacular.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Crazy, yeah. Man, Seacquine hit his head on the goalpost from 80. Sayquine hit his. Wait, I got a question. Yes. If teams aren't allowing Sequan Barkley to run, obviously I'd be better suited to talk about this game. That's the one game I wasn't able to watch.
Starting point is 00:29:39 But if they're not allowing Seacan to run and the front floor is not going to be able to stop them, you got to bring a safety down in the goddamn box in order to do that, it's one-on-one-on-out-out-out-sides. So it wouldn't be any problem. But you know what, Ocho, when you really look at it, if you really look at Philly's offense, it's really simplistic. Yeah, but the game of football is simple. You don't have to over-coach it.
Starting point is 00:30:01 You don't have to over-complicate it. Yeah, but you look at how, I give it an example, you look at how the lions, how they put their players in position to succeed. Oh, yeah, yeah. You look at some of the other offensive coordinators and how they put their players. Bro, you're just running unders. You're running slants.
Starting point is 00:30:19 You're running sluggles. Come on, bro. Yeah, but listen, you think about the lion's offense, and then you look at the offense of the Eagles. The Eagles went in a very simplistic form. Yes. The creativity of the lines. No, you won in a simplistic form.
Starting point is 00:30:33 The likelihood you're going to have to complicate, you're going to have to get a little bit more complicated now. A little bit more creative. Yes. Yes. But listen, the goddamn lions on when it comes to their creativity, offensively, it's a lot more complex, especially when you, when you watch it from the outside, they do a little bit of everything.
Starting point is 00:30:52 They do. And you never, you never know what's coming. You never know what's coming. That's not, that's not the makeup and that's not the DNA of the Eagles. And it never happened. No, they're not. But I think in order for them to get back where they want to be, Ocho, they're going to have to open up this playbook.
Starting point is 00:31:07 They're going to have to open up. They're going to have to trust Jalen Hurst to throw the ball. And not when they get behind. Listen, I don't think they want him to throw the ball 30. times. I know that for certain. That's not their recipe. Also, 11 carries, they had 11 rush attempts.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Sequin, who you paying $20 million a year, had six rush attempts. Wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on. So you're saying they abandoned to run too early? They couldn't get anything running. Okay, so you had no choice but to throw. But now, but see, we know
Starting point is 00:31:40 that. See, when Seekoine is running, you're like, damn, What are they going to do now? Are they going to run it or they're going to throw it? We really don't know. Well, they can't run the football with Sequin. They hadn't been able to run all year. They got really lucky in the Rams game that AJ, that Jalen and AJ got on the same page
Starting point is 00:31:57 and AJ got hot and boom. But they're going to have to be better. They're going to have to be better than this. AJ Brown getting eight targets for five catches and 43 yards and two for 11 and that ain't going to cut it. That ain't going to cut it. Because they're not because the running game is not successful as it was last year. Okay, yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Damn. But we just put, we put, you know, put foot so in them, let them know what time it was. Speaking of disappointing teams, if there any more disappointing team than your Bengals. Whoa, whoa, hold on. Why be going to the Bengals game? The Ravens stayed at 1 o'clock. That's okay. The Ravens played at 1 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:32:42 y'all play we go we start from we start and work our way back remember how say how we did that oh that's what we doing yep okay well go ahead let's let's talk about let's talk about whoa whoa whoa i mean you do an awful lot of talking for a team that got beat by 13 wait by who jared golf was 19 of 23 that means he had four incompletions chat 258 yards three touchdowns damn three yeah david montgomery even through a touchdown. So in actuality, there was 20 or 24, 261 yard, 4-tubs,
Starting point is 00:33:21 zero I-N-Ts. Hey, can I tell you something real quick? Hey, that man went home. He went home. Yeah, he went home. Hey, listen, he came home and showed out. He came home and showed out. But let's understand something.
Starting point is 00:33:36 For one, before I even start, me, I got a chance to see Kirby. I got to see J-M-O. I got to see Amar Ross St. Brown. Got to see Terriott Arnold before the game. You know, I exchanged some pledges with them boys, you know, and hoping, in hoping we would have had a better showing than what we did. That's neither here nor there.
Starting point is 00:33:57 No, you had the showing that you had. Listen, Jake Brown and Hunt, we are not a good enough team. We are not a good enough team to overcome three tonnables. We're not a good enough team. We got to be able to protect the ball. We got to be a protective ball. God damn Jamar Chase Chase Brown
Starting point is 00:34:12 Pete Ryan Well they fought they They thought they do you know what off They four they you know what off To find ways to make play Jake Brown are running for his life For the majority of the game And trying to make something out of nothing
Starting point is 00:34:24 He did his best Chase did his best I would love for us to get everyone else involved I would love for us to get everyone else involved We have to do a better line A better job up front We got to do a better job up front Jake Brown are running around for his life
Starting point is 00:34:38 It's one of the reasons why Joe Borough's hurt I'm not saying no names and not calling out of names. For those you who are able to watch the game, you understand that. You understand that. We did the best we could. As a team, defensively, I thought we played well. I thought we played well. You gave up 37.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Yeah, listen, listen, we gave up 37 to a team that's probably ranked maybe one. They took a knee on the 10-yard line. I know. You don't want to be disrespectful to us. Yeah, I want to be disrespectful. Yeah. listen they won the game it's a good team but again i want to be openly and blatantly disrespectful okay okay listen it was a great win for the lions it was a great win for the lions
Starting point is 00:35:22 i had a great time meeting many lions fans you know this this past three days i salute y'all i love you was nothing but mutual respect with the trash talk that we were doing but as you know my faithful my faithfulness and my allegiance will always lie here it will always lie with this And I got to talk. I got to talk and we lost a day. And I bow my head with grace and, and y'all won the game. And it's nothing but love. It's nothing but love.
Starting point is 00:35:50 It's nothing but love. It's a bitter hatred. No, it ain't no. You're terrible. No, no, no, no. You did all that talking. Now look at you. Yeah, yeah, it's okay.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Listen, I can sit here and say we lost. I bet Chase was a DB in high school too because he could tackle. He had three tackles in the first half. Look, at one point, Chase was leading and tackle. He's on the team. That's what I don't. That's why I know. He played on offense.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Mm-hmm. But it's okay. I have a question for you, Unk. What? I have a question for y'all too. Do you think? I love Zach Taylor. I love Zach Taylor.
Starting point is 00:36:21 And I hate that people are saying, oh, the coach needs to be fired and all this. Listen, it don't matter who you're bringing them. God damn, you can have Jesus coaching. But when Jesus called him plays, it's our job to execute him. It's 11 people out there on the field. For one, ain't running no offense. You ain't running no goddamn.
Starting point is 00:36:39 him offense, and if he ain't got nobody blocking for whoever at the quarterback position. We can start there. That ain't got shit to do with Zach Taylor. We can start there. But do you think we need to make a move and go get another quarterback? I just want to know, because we only two. Where are you going to get him from? Amazon?
Starting point is 00:37:01 Because you talk, you talking like they got one that you can order from Amazon and they give it to you day and you get them next day. Hey, listen, you know the game. You know the game. I know the game. Yes. Like this, do you want to salvage the season in some, in some, in some, in some, no, you're not going to salvage nothing, no, Joe.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Y'all going to be done by things. Y'all be done, y'all will be done by Halloween. Oh, I, listen to you. Joe is not coming back this year. I, I'm not talking about Joe coming back. I'm saying getting someone in there at the quarter of a position that can facilitate the ball and protect it at the same time. No, that's why they stick it with me.
Starting point is 00:37:40 I don't know who you're back up with to Jake Browning, but I don't believe you're bringing somebody off the street. Oh, Cho, over the last three games, you guys have been outscored 113 to 37. The 76 point differential narrowly missed the record 80 worth three games stretching franchise history. Bengals have three other quarterbacks on the roster. Brett Rippin, who played for the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Mike White, he played for the Jets and the Dolphins, and Sean Clifford are on the practice squad. Jake Browning threw three interceptions, and he had three touchdowns in garbage time. They don't mean nothing. Browning was booed after several drives in the first half at one point. He was booed, and he led the offense as he led the offense on the field. Browning has thrown eight interceptions in four games.
Starting point is 00:38:33 So you heard what you just said? He's thrown eight interceptions. four games. And you still think there's not a quality backup that's on another team. I'm not who I don't want to say no names that can come in and come. No. Because he knows your offense the best.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Your offensive line, they still, they have an address, I mean, they haven't addressed that. And your defense. Now, I graded that you, you know, you turned the ball over three times a day. Three. But If you go back and look at over the last,
Starting point is 00:39:09 but, I mean, the Broncos beat the brakes off, y'all. The team before that beat the breaks off, y'all. Y'all defense isn't any good. It's not bad. I mean, I wish I could give it and say, make it better, but I can't. Y'all defense aren't, your defense isn't very good. And when your defense isn't good and you're, because here's the thing, your defense is the worst part of your team.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Your offense is bad and turning the ball over. So the worst part of your team is playing the most. The last thing that you want, Ocho, you want the best part of your team to play the most. You want your office to be on the field. Now, your office is turning the ball load, putting the worst part on the field. I don't, you know what, can I tell you something? Yes. I don't like the way you worded that.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I'm just saying, I don't like the way you worded that. I think, I think I don't want to say we're going to be all right. Y'all not. Let me finish. Let me finish. Let me have a little faith. Let me have a little faith, okay? We got to have better quarterback play.
Starting point is 00:40:13 The fact that you know Joe is out, for us to even have a chance to be able to compete every Sunday, no matter who the hell we plan, we can't turn the ball over. Y'all can't. Trade for Andy Dalton. Huh? Where Andy at?
Starting point is 00:40:30 Where Andy at? Where in? Carolina. No, we need to. a gunslinger. We need a gun slinger. Somebody that's going that's going to let that thing rip. You hear me? Somebody let that thing right. Someone that is the experience
Starting point is 00:40:45 that has veteran presence. Well, trade for James then. Now, okay, now we're talking. You say you want somebody to let it rip. James is going to throw. Now, now we talk. Now, here's the thing, Ocho. Talk to me. You're going to have three touchdown passes. Yeah. He'll have three interceptions two nights. He's going
Starting point is 00:41:01 he's going to throw for $350, $400.400. He's going to You're going to throw a bus time. Just so you know. I'm just saying, listen, I love it. You remember that game last year against the Broncos? 497, but he had three picks in the football. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:18 So I'm saying, would you rather? Us, us having James or having someone at the court of position that can give us 497 or 500 yards passing and at least have us. I'm sure Jason Higgins would like that. Huh? I'm sure Jason Higgins would like. that somebody's going to throw the ball. Yeah, for sure. So if we're going to have a chance, if you
Starting point is 00:41:39 say our defense is bad, if we're going to have a chance, we got to throw the kitchen sink. Oh, well, we can salvage in this season. We're just two and three. We just two and three. You never know, you know, you never know what happened. If I'm not mistaken, we second in division. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Yeah, we second in division. We have time. But I don't think, given the circumstances in this division, I don't think there's only one team going out of the division. Now, it might be a situation where you get three teams out of the AFC West, the Broncos, the Chargers, and the, uh, the chiefs. So would you, are you just, are you, but think about it, Ocho, you got to, you got to look at, you got to look at the AFC South, Jacksonville, lost one game, Indy lost one game.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Yeah. You saw the Texans win today. Yeah. Well, who they, who the Texans beat today? Man, Texas beat, there you go. You're trying to be slick. You try to sleep. You're trying to sleep that with India. You thought you were slick, Ocho. Hey, hey, who the Texas would be today? Huh? You know who they beat today. I got, I got it. Scored a touchdown in the same game for the 14th time. Right.
Starting point is 00:42:43 Iying an NFL record. Hey, can I tell you something? Huh? You know, can I tell you something? You notice the first time the Lions beat the Bengals since 1992? It won't be the last time. Because I ain't never lost to him. Y'all that probably didn't know play the Lions.
Starting point is 00:43:02 You played the Lions twice. I had, Dreve Blah was on me. Drake Blab is on me. That was my boy. And my boy, when we played him here in Cincinnati. But remember Louis Delmas? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Yeah. Hey, hey, that boy, know he can hit, boy. He know we can hit. But we can hit. But we ain't ever lost to them. But again, salute to all the Lions fans. I know there's a lot of y'all in the chat that are watching the night. I salute you.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Y'all won the game. If I met you, it's all love. It's all love. And let me get down to Detroit. I promise him I'll come down to Detroit. Detroit and sitting in the stand at Ford Field and watch the game. Damn. Cowboys go to the Meadowlands. Yeah. I don't know if they call it the MetLife Stadium. That's what they call it.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Yeah. And they win. They mollywock the Jets, 3722. The 2-2-1, not Cowboys. Jets are 0.5. Dak Prescott was sensational. 18 of 29, 237, four touchdowns. No, intercessions. Javante Williams, 16 carries, a buck 35. He was running the football. The Cowboys were missing four starters on the offensive line, and by the time the first half ended, the Cowboys had 100-yard Russia in Javante Williams and a 100-yard receiver in Ryan, Florida, and Dak Prescott had two touchdown passes to his tight end, Jake Ferguson. Justin Fields was 32 or 46, 283, two touchdowns. His offensive line isn't very good. Their defense isn't are very good. I thought their defense would be
Starting point is 00:44:36 better than what is shown thus far. They're not. And Breed's Hall had 14 carries for a buck 13, Ocho. And he had 244 yards. He was told that thing. And they got blown out. Yeah. But listen, that goddamn Javonte Williams
Starting point is 00:44:52 went up. Javonte Williams with him running like that, it opens up everything else for that. He looks like the Carolina Javante Williams. You remember when he came out of Cho, how he ran the football? Yeah. He was coming back off of knee surgery. So it needed a, he needed to get one year removed after that knee surgery. Now he looks like the guy. Hey, he was toting that thing. And let's totally he was
Starting point is 00:45:15 he told him. Listen, you come up there, you come up there to the party. He going to dish it. He going to dish it. Oh yeah. Hey, that goddamn deck look good boy. Oh, he was thwarted that he was dealing. That goddamn deck look good. Piggins out. So Ferguson not there getting jiggy. I like, I like Ferguson. I've always liked Ferguson. Even as a rookie, also, you know what annoys me with D.Bs? What? When you get up there and press coverage and you open the door. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. If you're going to get impressed coverage, put your hands on the guy.
Starting point is 00:45:49 If you not back your ass off. Wait, was it bail technique? It was sauce. No, it wasn't bail. No, he was, he was just, just open the door. Right. And Pitt ran right by it. he thought he thought people going to run something short i bet if you open the door my great grannie used to say all the time boy open the door flies come in the house every time
Starting point is 00:46:13 okay you open you up in press coverage yeah but you got to realize if you open the gate the guy got to run and start now you have to turn and run yeah you do you're not catching up with these top flight receivers look i i don't like to be the bearer bad news but salt's garden hadn't been the same since his rookie year. If we being all the way honest, if we be in 1,000% honest, right, he's been the same since they started calling all that clutching and holding the whole and they let him get away with his rookie season. Y'all know it. Watch the tape. Watch it. He ain't the same. He's the highest paid. Congratulations. But ain't no way I'm putting him up there with Stingley. I'm putting him up there with Sartan. Nah. I mean, I didn't close. Well,
Starting point is 00:47:00 Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Listen. Listen. Now, I understand he might get the, he might get the call. He might get the holding calls. He might, you know, get beat some time. But Young Bull is paid significantly because he showed on film he's worth what he didn't. He ain't been the same since the rookie year. Okay. Okay. Watch him. Watch the tape. Look at him. He ain't been the same. He's not. He's not. And he ain't even close. He ain't even close to Sertan. They need to stop that discussion. That's that's two totally different bodies of work. Stingley. Sertan. They by themselves, man. They by themselves. I mean, I just be all the way 1,000 with Jojo. And chat, Jets fans, if you be an honest, is y'all watched him over the last three four years he ain't been the same since a rookie year because they call all that clutching and holding that he normally get that he was getting away with they calling it now not and you and um you do understand defense the back is a harder position
Starting point is 00:48:04 to play on the field I yes I do yes yes okay okay okay okay okay oh Joe he makes 30 million dollars a year yeah yeah I I it was what it was hard when he was a rookie he was defensive rookie of the year yeah we don't we don't do that hey as you as you make as you make more more as expected don't you don't you don't get to still look you don't get to stay the same you like well you know hey no you're supposed you're supposed to try to elevate I'm going to show everybody why they gave me this money yes they paid you for that defensive player the year I mean defensive rookie at year they paid you for that all pro they're paying you now because they
Starting point is 00:48:47 said we believe moving forward he's going to be better than what he was to make us give him this money so we're going to be getting him out of bargain he's not playing well and it's okay to say that somehow we've gotten away from like if a guy's not playing well and he's a good player it's okay to say you're not playing well chat chat he's not and it be it could be a receiver it could be a running back it could be a quarterback i'm not because somebody's not playing the way currency, the thing is, Ocho, a lot of times when you say a player isn't playing well, their fan base or family members or even them think you're trying to discredit what they've already done.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Right. I cannot take away that all pro, know what I attempt to. I can't take away that pro bowl, that defensive rookie of the year. Yes. You've got that. But what's that got to do with how you're playing right now? That's still on your resume. you know what I would love I wish I wish I had it front of me see I'm on the road so I don't
Starting point is 00:49:47 have my my other computer in front of me to look at some of the numbers on how he's played this year so I would have to do my homework first because I don't watch the jet significantly I watch all the games as a whole you know watching the TV copy it doesn't give you a fair a fair way to judge or assess how individual players plan until you get to see the numbers so I mean you would know better than me because I haven't been able to watch the Jets outside of Justin Fields and with Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson are doing. So I got to check that out. I got to check that out.
Starting point is 00:50:21 But I know one thing, if you don't pay a player $30 million, I'm just saying, you don't pay a player $30 million if he's regressing from his rookie year. So that that's why it's hard. He does not look to save. And I don't think, I don't think anybody that watch, if they're being honest, can look at and say, you know what? Yeah, Saus is the same guy we saw as a rookie. He's not.
Starting point is 00:50:46 He is not. Jets have employed 19 full-time coaches over six decades. Today, Aaron Glenn became the first to start his tenure with five straight losses. Coach that is known for his defense, the Jets are on pace to allow the most points in franchise history. Glenn states that he has no plans of taking over play calling from D.C. Steve Wilkes. Ocho, we've seen very few black coaches get time to figure things out. Do you believe because we saw Steve Wilkes in Arizona. We saw last year coach in New England.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Do you believe that he's going to get an opportunity to figure this thing out? Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. It's his first year. And obviously it was Steve Wilkes first year. Yeah. It was, what was the coach in New England last year? Gerard Mayo.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Gerard Mayo. Right. It was his first year. Yeah. But obviously, you know, they want, they want it for able. Okay. So what if, so what if another coach is out there? Mm.
Starting point is 00:51:57 You say they want it variable. Yeah. Okay. What if they want somebody else and he's available? I don't know. I don't know. And you know what they're going to. If any, if anything.
Starting point is 00:52:08 you would think the Jets would have a head start and have success on the defensive side of the ball because that's what that's, that was their identity. That's always been their identity. The defense was really good. Their defense is really good. I'm not sure what's going on now, but if there's one thing you probably thought
Starting point is 00:52:24 you wouldn't have to worry about when it came to football season or this season starting is the Jets defense. Just focus on the offense and hoping Justin Fields is your answer for the foresee of the future. Yeah, the Jets had us fool to Ocho, because we looked at, remember when they had Zach Wilson, and they say, oh, and I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:52:42 and that's what made them go out and get Aaron Rogers. Yeah. I say now, but you say you're under the premise that the defense is going to be just as good, if not better, because if they have any slippage, that the quarterback's not going to be able to overcome that. Right. That defense hadn't been the same since you got to go back, Zach Wilson, you got to go way, way back to talk about that defense.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Don't nobody fear that defense now? No. They don't. Justin Fields constantly running for his life. sack five times for 49 yards. They're a mess. Yeah. They are.
Starting point is 00:53:15 And you know, another thing, too, I'm not an officer coordinator, Unk, but most of the time you have officer lines, I think about the Bengals, I think about the Jets, I think about other quarterbacks that are in situations where the officer lines aren't that good. I don't understand for the life of me. If you know, if you know the officer's life, not good, put your quarterback under settle and just run quick game.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Just run quick game. I don't understand why. What happened though? They fell behind so quick. They couldn't. They took about it. Okay. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Brief Hall had 14 carers for a buck 13. But you're behind. I mean, that was behind. I mean, the score was 23 to, the score was 233 at the half. Mm-hmm. The score was 30 to 6 at the end of the fourth, at the end of the third quarter. How the hell are we going to run the ball, Locho? We down 233 at the half.
Starting point is 00:54:02 We down 30 to, we found 30 to 6 in the third quarter. Ain't no more running. Mm-hmm. You can got no choice. Receivers, run your ass and get open. That's what the running, you do it. The running backs, I'm sorry. You block it or you chipping your way out.
Starting point is 00:54:15 It is what it is. Yeah. And, you know, it's funny. Well, see, maybe the bills are built a little different. A high percentage of the time, anytime Josh Allen is in shotgun on, it's a pass. Yes. A high percentage of the time, anytime John is in the center, it's a run. Yes.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Every so often, he'll be in shotgun. They'll try to throw you off. Yeah. It's definitely a tail to you. But I don't know. I don't know. It's still very early in the season, but now that we're in week five,
Starting point is 00:54:47 everything should be churning. Offenses should be churning. You should be hitting your stride. You should be hitting your rhythm at this point. Defenses should be ahead of the eight ball because all you've got to do is read and react. That's it. And sometimes, Ocho, you know,
Starting point is 00:55:03 you have these expectations of defense, but you don't really. know you hope you think yeah team because every year we have a team that comes up our springs up out of nowhere yeah it's the playoffs we have an offense that like damn i didn't know they had this in them or we have a defense and then we have teams that we expect take a step back be an offensively defense or a team as a totality right um i thought the jess would be better they got to do better than this uh hey but um well you oh and five you know how difficult it is to climb out of a hole.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Oh, you do realize in order to be 500, you'd have to win five straight. Straight, yeah. Five straight. What's the likelihood? Hell, they can't win one in a row. How the hell they're going to win five in a row? And it doesn't get any easier.
Starting point is 00:55:54 And what's the schedule? What's the Jets mix by a game? They are. They got So guess what They go to Denver At Broncos You know what's going to happen
Starting point is 00:56:09 They got home to the Broncos They're going to beat y'all They're going to beat y'all Oh, they got y'all Lo-Chall on the schedule Who? Jets They plan in Cincinnati
Starting point is 00:56:19 They plan In Cincinnati Oh, okay They got Broncos, Panthers Bingles, Browns.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Ooh, that's tough. that's tough they might be old they might be owing shoe oh and a we know one thing the broncos can get after your damn quarterback absolutely as jalen hurts mm-hmm wait and listen you you got you get the one thing you do have for jane her i'm talking about jane hurts but just the fields is he can run he can move well they don't give him a chance to move because by the time he get the snap somebody if it's somebody on him in his face yeah yep
Starting point is 00:57:04 Damn Oh, you want to do everything You can and starve fast, but a hole Yeah, it's hard, it's hard, it's hard digging out of a hole Listen, O and 5 in New York Yep Man, please Oh, Joe, the Texans
Starting point is 00:57:27 Dismantle a beat up Ravens teams, 40-4 to 10 Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. No, because when you talked about the bangles, you didn't say beat up. You just said, lost to the Bengals.
Starting point is 00:57:41 Just say the Houston Texans dismantled the Ravens. Don't just something to add, beat up. You're going to let me finish the reader, though. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. Finish it. Don't try to solve it. Baltimore down to a shocking, what and four record.
Starting point is 00:57:55 The Texans scored six touchdowns in four games. They scored five today. The 44 points is the most by team. in a home game in the John Harbaugh-18 season era. The Ravens are on pace, 35.4 points per game, to shatter the Panthers' 24 NFL record, most points allowed, 534. John Harbar said, John Harbaugh said after the 34-point loss that Zach Orr will remain the defensive coordinator.
Starting point is 00:58:27 I don't think that's the answer. We have to go to work is what we need to do. We need to stick together. is what we need to do. We need to find ourselves, and that has to do with coaches, players working together. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Well, listen, I don't want you to say foot or ball. With that Ravens helmet, go get that Ravens helping for me. Go get this. Is it a closet? Huh? Is it the closet? Oh, that's exactly where it belonged,
Starting point is 00:58:53 trapped in the closet. Y'all was abysmal today. Y'all were horrible today. Y'all were horrible offensively. Y'all were horrible. They were horrible. sides of the ball. CJ Stroud, this was the best
Starting point is 00:59:06 C.J. Stroudd, his look. This is rookie year. I was just going to say that. 23 of 27, 244 yards, four touchdowns, no interception. He was sacked twice. He had a 99.9-9 QBR. They ran the ball 33
Starting point is 00:59:21 times for a buck 67. Nico Collins had a touchdown. Hutchison had two touchdown. Noel had a touchdown. Cooper Rush. I don't know who look we don't need to talk about this but we know Cooper Rush is not the answer if Cooper Rush is the answer I need to know the question
Starting point is 00:59:41 that you're asking oh anyway he was 14 or 20 179 three interceptions sacked once Derek Henry had 15 rushes 33 yards and a touchdown Keon Mitchell had three four eight yards Justice Hill had one for three yards Zay Flowers had five catches for 72 yards DeHoc two for 46. Wait a minute. How many intercepted did Cooper Rush have? Three.
Starting point is 01:00:09 How many intercepted did Jake Brown and have? Three. Okay. So, so that means, that means they scored 44 on y'all. They ain't scored 44 on us. They didn't score. It took a knee on the 10-yard line. What?
Starting point is 01:00:26 They took a knee on the 10-yard line. Y'all coaches didn't know. Y'all coaches didn't know. You couldn't punt the ball. Y'all punt the ball and we didn't land in the landing area. And so they got the ball down to the 10-yard line and could have scored again on you. He scored 44 on your team. 44.
Starting point is 01:00:41 That's not your team. That's not your team. They scored 44 on your team. Oh, okay. I thought you said that was your team. Listen, you're talking with a little too much volume and basically the point of a team that just lost 44 to 10. Yeah, but look. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:59 Oh, Joe. So you're already down Vanoy, Matabeeke, Hump, and your safety, Kyle Hamilton. Yeah. So you're down four starters there and you're down Lamar Jackson. And your defense was already struggling. So you're down four started on the defensive side of a defense that's already struggling. Well, wait a minute. It ain't going to get no better.
Starting point is 01:01:23 It wasn't going to get no better even if they was healthy. Because when everybody was healthy, they still wasn't doing nothing. They still wasn't about nothing. Now, the only chance you do have... I'm glad you said that because they remind you of the Bengals, right? Because when Joe Burrow was healthy there last year, they would give up 30 a game. Let me finish.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Let me finish. Any chance y'all do have the only promising hope for Ravens fans and for that organization to even compete. Well, you need eight, boy, you got to have pomp of those finals out there in order to compete. Well, it doesn't look like he brought probably be back. How long are you going to be out? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:02:00 They say one to two weeks, one to three weeks. It all depends on how, how, hold on. Oh, Calvin. Oh, I played today. He got a sack, Coach. Oh, you don't say. And it didn't work, huh? It didn't help, though, huh?
Starting point is 01:02:17 No. Yeah, don't mean that. They needed more. Look, ain't no easy way to say this, but it's not going to get better for the Ravens, Ocho. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not. They're not going to get better.
Starting point is 01:02:32 It seems like that lost opening night that they had that lead, it took a lot out of them. You hate to say one game, Ocho, but you're in this situation. Remember, you had them on the ropes last year in the playoff game, and you lose that one in heartbreaking fashion. You had a big lead in the game starting, what was that Sunday night, and you lose that one. And they really never got their footing back after that. Yeah, what's Baltimore?
Starting point is 01:02:59 Give me Baltimore's next five games, Ash. It doesn't look like it's going to get any better. Oh, it's not. It's definitely not. It's going to get better for us before it get better for y'all. I can tell you that. I could tell you that. And I say that in a respectful manner.
Starting point is 01:03:15 As someone who loves the Ravens. Rams. They got the Rams next. That's a loss. Bears. That's a loss. Vikings. dolphins. Oh, dolphins. That's a win.
Starting point is 01:03:28 They got the dolphins. That's a win. Okay. I'm Mike. Vikings. Then Browns. Oh, they're going to beat the dolphins. Everybody beat the dolphins. So y'all got, y'all going to win. Oh, oh, why are you talking? Your dolphins got crushed. They did? Carolina beat them.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Man, the scope of 27, 24. You talk about crushed. They won by a lead. Huh? Y'all would lead. I know, but you say we got crushed. We can get crushed, and the Panthers have been playing some good ball. Well, you see Bryce, y'all? What you talk about?
Starting point is 01:04:03 It ain't like, oh, the dolphins got crushed. No, the Panthers. Dolphins got beat. Carolina, Carolina put foot foot in them. Hold on. Carolina, the same team that just beat the goddamn Atlanta Falcons, was it, 38 or 30-0? We're talking about the Falcons. I'm talking about your dolphins.
Starting point is 01:04:21 I know. You know what, also? All your teams. The Bengals and the dolphins combined. Oh, I know you're not talking because we just talked about your Ravens. Listen, the Bengals don't have, we don't have a quarterback. Oh, the Ravens got a quarterback? Huh?
Starting point is 01:04:38 The Ravens got a quarterback? Yeah, I mean, your defense is bad, though. You talk about the Bengals defense. Look at your defense. What you mean? Ocho, but see, your thing was the dolphins were up 17-0. oh look at it now now look at it now look at it hey we was up 17-0 yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:05:08 and then what happened it seemed like brett young did it we didn't need it to do no no look the texans the way the texans play this is the way people expect the cj to play his second year right the way he played today right this is the best cj stroud has looked since his rookie season um they ran the ball 33 times for 167 yards nick chub 11 for 61 i mean look nick chub was really you know the only thing cj had one had one run for 30 yards he looked pretty fast to me i guess he uh found the fountain of youth though over the last couple of days but anyway they look they this was
Starting point is 01:05:51 a total team where they was a dominant they've dominated ain't no way around it they dominated the ball game. CJ was poised in the pocket. He only missed two throws and then you get the ball, you run the ball for over 150 yards. And then you sack the quarterback. You only sack the quarterback once, but I'm trying to think 179 plus 44. They barely had over two, they barely had over 200 yards total offense. When you go on the road, you can go into a team's building and hold them, you know, 179 yards passing, 44 yards rushing, Yeah, you did something good. Hey, what I told you before the season started?
Starting point is 01:06:31 Before the season started, what team did I have high praise for in the watch out for? Carolina Bears. Bingo, that was it. Yeah. I told y'all. I told you, like you said, there's always a team that comes out of nowhere that surprises us. Right. I told you, I told you, I told you what Carolina was going to do now.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Now, I know they beat my team. Yeah, they did, beat the brakes off of them. Hold on, but we- Watch all 17. Hey, listen, we're missing the key ingredient. We're missing a key component to our offense. A game changer. We miss it.
Starting point is 01:07:08 He ain't coming back. So, you know, they was getting beat with him in the lineup. Ain't that what you just told me? Hold on. Okay. CJ was 23 of 27, 244, four touchdowns, zero interceptions. Davis Mills comes in. Two or four, 23 yards.
Starting point is 01:07:27 So as a team, there was 25 or 31, 21, 25, four touchdowns. Like I said, CJ looked very good today. He's very comfortable. You can't, if, I mean, coach, he can't complain. He ain't got nothing to say. He said, hey, guys, this is the way I expect us to play. This is how I expect us to look, regardless of who we play, regardless of where we play. This is the level is that we should.
Starting point is 01:07:55 This is the level we should hold ourselves to. Yeah. That's the first thing I'm going to say, regards to who you play. Because remember, everybody's heard it for the Ravens. So looking like you look today, looking like you look today, you're supposed to. When all the starters aren't out, when all the elite players defensively are out. But you know what, Ocho? Against a team that's healthy.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Sometimes what do we seeing teams do play down to the level of competition? Competition, yeah. All them guys out, you mentioned Lamar being out. You mentioned those defensive guys being out. Be hell out of them. Because see, now John Harbaugh can't go in there and lie to them. Right. Guys, we were close.
Starting point is 01:08:36 All we need to do is stick together. No hell now. I'm going to beat you so bad. You're going to start the splinter. You're going to start to point fingers. You're going to start to look at each other. Man, if he gets, if he studied like he's supposed to, man, I want if he give it to the difference. That's the kind of doubt.
Starting point is 01:08:51 That's what I try to soak. I'm not playing down to the competition. If your guys are not in there, I'm trying to hang half a hundred on you. And the funny thing about it is when you have injuries, right? The first thing people do, when you have injuries and things aren't going well, the first thing they say, we need to change a position coach. Or we need to change a defense coordinator. When that's not the problem, that's never been the problem.
Starting point is 01:09:15 I don't care who's calling the plays. It's up to those that are on the field to execute whatever it's called. That's it. everybody has an assignment everybody has a job to do when all 11 people are doing their job collectively the right way winning their individual battles every down down one down two down three everything will work fine but sometimes it takes having your start is in there to do it the right way right when they're out they back up for a reason they third string for a reason
