Ocho, we knew this thing was going to be a very daunting task. Yeah. Without Tyrese Halliburton who is the all NBA player, the all-star, and the Pacers led the game until the very end, but the Celtics and Drew Holiday gets a three-point play on one end to give them a one-point

lead, strips the ball from Nembhard on the other end, and hits two free throws, and so they end up winning the game, 114 to 111. The Boston Celtics trailed much of the entirety of the game. The last time they led until they took the lead for good, they led 32-31.

I don't really know what else the Pacers can do, Ocho, because they can't play any better. Pascal Siakam had 22 points. Miles Turner had 22 points. Miles Turner had 22 points and 10 rebounds. Nemhard, he had 32 points. TJ McConnell came

off the bench. He gave you 23 points. They had four guys with 20 plus points. They shot 50% from the floor, but Boston wins the three-point line again. Boston wins the free-throw line again, and that's the difference in the ballgame. And plus, the Pacers had some untimely turnovers. When you're playing a team that's better than you, there's no way around it.

Their five is better than your five. You can dig back into the game when you bring your bench in because we know the type of bench that the Pacers possess, but the starting five for the Celtics are better than the starting five for the Indiana Pacers. You can't turn the ball over, Ocho. Miles Turner had five turnovers.

If you look at the points off a turnover, let me go to the team stats right quick. I'll give you that. I'll let you chime in and tell me what you thought. Points off turnover. Boston had 20. And

so you're going to give them 20 points off your turnovers. You're going to lose the three-point line. You lost. They got their plus 33 from the three-point line. They're plus they shot, what, 12 more free throws. They made six more free

throws. So that's 39 points that they're better than you. Well, when you throw in and you got 13 off their turnover, so seven. So that's 46 points that you gave up, Pacers. So I think it's going to be a sweep, Ocho. I think this series is over

on Monday, and Boston is going to have a sweep, Ocho. What did you take from the game tonight, Ocho? I mean, listen, first off, the Pacers love run up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down the court. Yes, they only had five threes a night. Normally, you know, I forgot, you might know the quote a little better than me.

You cut the head off a snake, the rest of the body dies. Yes. So I'm thinking, well, they showed other than that tonight. No Halliburton tonight. But again, everybody else stepped up and played superior ball.

Like you said, they led most of the game, and the turnovers is what killed them. The turnover, man, goddamn Nimhard, man, was phenomenal. Myles Turner was phenomenal. Siakam was phenomenal. The turnovers hurt. Yep. The turnovers hurt.

But it was a good game. I was hoping. I was hoping they could have held on and won tonight's game. But obviously, I think the Celtics were a little bit, just a little bit too much. And I mean, their starting five is better. They're better. Than the Pacers' starting five.

And with the Athens, Tyler Halliburton. Tyrese. Tyrese Halliburton. It makes it that much more difficult. But they played with some heart tonight, man, and showed that they could almost get it done, but it's just not enough. I'm sure Pacer fans believe

they should be up 2-1. They were in a very similar situation in Game 1, had the Game 1, and they smashed defeat from the jaws of victory. In the Knights game, they're up eight points late in the fourth. In the fourth, yeah. They're up as many as 18.

They're up by eight in the fourth quarter. And the turnovers and the mistakes and the defensive assignments, leaving guys, you leave Al Horford for a wide open three. Three in the corner. Yes, he has the three ball going. You can't continuously make those mistakes. Right. It's the mistakes at the most inopportune times

because you can't say all mistakes are not created equal. Right. If I turn the ball over in the first quarter or if I throw a pick in the first quarter, that's not the same as a pick to end the game. That's not the same as a pick late in the ball game. That's not the same, even though it's still an interception and it goes on your,

it goes on your, uh, against you, but they're not the same turnovers, miss defensive assignments. They don't weigh the same. They weigh more according to where we are in the course of the ball game. Right.

And that's, uh, when I look at it and watch this game very, very closely, that was the course of the ball game. When I look at it and watch this game very, very closely, that was the difference in the ball game. Jason Tatum had it going tonight. He had 36, 12 of 23, 5 of 10. He didn't shoot the free throws very

well. I know he's very disappointed about that, but he had an outstanding game. He was 36, 10, and 8 with a steal and two blocks. He must have watched the show. He must have watched the show. He must have watched the show because we just talked about Jason Tatum not showing up and Jalen Brown being the better player throughout, not

just this series, but the playoffs in general. And all of a sudden, Jason Tatum said, hold my beer. And came out and showed the hell out tonight. Yeah. J.P. didn't play bad. He's going to have to play like that consistently. Especially once you get to this next, once you get to this damn finals. Yes.

Jalen Brown had 24 points. He was 10 of 18, 1 of 5. Derek White was 3 of 11, 2 of 8, 5 of 6 for the free throw line. Holiday was 4 of 10. He didn't shoot the three ball well. He was perfect from the foul line, played outstanding defense when he absolutely needed to. Al Horford was the difference in the ball game because time after time, he made timely three after timely three after timely three.

He's 7-12 from the three. He had 23 points. Excuse me. And Jason Tatum has 36, 10, and 8, almost a triple-double. But the difference in the ball game, and you look at the Pacers bench, you got 23 from McConnell. You got a de-double. But the difference in the ball game, and you look at the Pacers' bench, you got 23 from McConnell. You got a deuce from us, so you got 23, 25, 27.

You got 31 points from your bench. You outscored them from the bench points, 31 to 4. And that's how Pacers beat you. They're able to brain guys off the bench. I love T.J. McConnell's game. Boy, he's tough. He can make big-time shots. He's

going to play outstanding defense. Yes, he's undersized. What he lacks and what your physical traits, he more than makes up with heart and desire and determination. But I thought the Pacers had this game. I thought they could make this a series. I don't think there's anybody

out there with the exception of Boston fans that don't think the Pacers should be up 2-1 right now. Boston fans like, nah, nah, blah, blah, you know. But I believe they should be up 2-1. And I think the thing is, Ocho, when you look at it, people are saying Rick Harlock should have called a timeout. When they got that rebound, he should have called a timeout. But I understand why he didn't,

because he didn't want Boston to set up their defense. A lot of times when you call a timeout. But I understand why he didn't, because he didn't want Boston to set up their defense. A lot of times when you call a timeout, you're going to allow a team to set a defense to you. You let them regroup. Everybody's helter-skelter. They're all over the place. But give Holiday credit. He's a strong guy.

And once he feels you can make contact with his lower body, he's going to reach in with the poke. And he got it out. He made an outstanding play. And so give him credit for that. I don't have a problem with Carlisle not calling a timeout. Maybe Nimhar needed to slow it down, but I understand he's like,

well, they helped the skelter. They dispersed. See that, that clock, that clock, that clock running, you know,

how many times in Nimhar been in that situation where the clock is going down? Normally, the ball in that situation would be in someone else's hands. Yeah, you hope it would be in Halliburton's hands. Halliburton's hands, yeah. But think about it. Nimhar knows that the clock, he's under the gun from the clock. Guess who else knows that?

Holiday. Holiday. He knows he's got to do something suddenly also so now he gets to play like oh you got to make a move here and once you go behind your back well i know you want to go in that direction that's the reason you put the ball behind your back you no longer want to go in the direction with your left hand you put it behind your back and try to get to your shooting hand oh When he knows that, he reaches in, he gets the poke out, and he made an outstanding play. Like I said, I don't know if the Pacers can play any

better than what they played tonight. I don't see it, Ocho. I don't see it. You got four guys with at least 20 plus points. You shoot almost 51% from the floor. The only thing is the three ball is killing you. You're 5-22. They're 51% from the floor. The only thing is the three ball is killing you. You're 5-22. They're

23% from the three. The Celtics are 35%, but they're 16-46. So that's a plus 33 from the three-point line, and they're plus six as far as makes from the free-throw line.

Plus the 20 points that you get, plus your minus seven you were down in the points off turnover. I just don't see how they play any better than what they played tonight. I mean, the only thing they can do is get those four individuals that played very well tonight, they keep that same momentum going to the next game, and then be able to hit the threes and eliminate the turnovers,

and then they'll be fine. Well, Boston says, what happens when we make our threes? We's only 35%. We take more, make more than anybody in the NBA this year. Yeah, it's tough. It's tough.

You lose Hallie, who's the heartbeat of your team. He's the guy that gets it all going. He's tough. You lose Hallie, who's the heartbeat of your team. He's the guy that gets it all going. But we saw what happened to him in game one because what we laud him for during the regular season, he had a couple of gaffes late in game one that ended up costing them the game.

And in this game here, they had a couple of miscues, blown defensive assignment um turnovers late that ended up costing them the game as well but give the celtics credit the credit the celtics go on the road in a very hostile environment and find a way to claw the victory 114 to 111 and they're one win away from going to the nba finals to face the winner of the mavericks and the uh timberwolves series so give give those guys credit. Give Boston credit. There's a reason why they won as many games as they did. There's a reason why they're the number one overall seed.

They have two guys that made the All-Star game. They have a first-team All-NBA selection in Jason Tatum. Derek White is an outstanding because they can switch everything. Derek White is an outstanding defensive guard. So is Holiday. Big Al can play defense. We know JT and JB can switch everything.

Congratulations to them on a very hard-fought victory. They go up 3-0 with a chance to close this thing out on Memorial Day. Last night, the Mavs and the Wolves, Luka Magic. I keep telling, I've been telling people, I've been helping Luka for a minute.

The Mavs overcame an 18-point deficit. Luka sealed the victory with a game-winning step back, three-pointer, over the defensive player of the year, Rudy Gobert. Luka finished the game with another triple-double, another 30-point triple-double also. 32 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds. Kyrie Irving, 20 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds.

Kyrie had, what, 14 points in the third quarter. Naz Reed, the sixth man of the year, led the Timberwolves with a career-high 23 points, 7 of 9 for 3. Nobody's going to remember that because he missed the last one and it looked good from where I was sitting, but where I was sitting, Ocho, it looked good. Again, Anthony Edwards and Carl Anthony Towns struggled.

They scored 36 points on 33 shots. Towns didn't play much in the fourth quarter. He was subbed out and he didn't come back in. During that time, Ant-Man checked out of the game, 753. He came back with the 55Man checked out of the game, 7.53. He came back with the 5.51 mark.

Yeah. He was in the tunnel. Yeah. Receiving oxygen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maddow had to get some oxygen. That's it. He had to get some oxygen.

Well, he said he wanted Kyrie. Yeah, and you know what happened when you got to get Kyrie. And you got to lock up and try to play defense on arguably the best one of, if not the best handlers of the ball that has ever played this game. So it's been a tall task. It's been a very tall feat for Ant-Man. And because he's had to cover Kyrie and has chosen to take on that task, it's affected him offensively on the offensive end of the game. And shit, he's 22 and he's tired. So what did that tell you? Would it take to cover that?

You can't get tired at 22. Shit. Yeah, all right. Hold on. Was Kobe tired at 22? Yeah. Was Jordan tired at 22? Yeah.

Was LeBron tired at 22? They took the best. They took the best. For the most part, they took the best. There was no Kyrie Irving back then. And that's no disrespect to anybody else. They had guys that could go get buckets. Did they have guys that could go get buckets?

See, you can't look at somebody just handling the ball. You always had that. Yeah, so you got to try to neutralize him on one end while still giving... But see, that's what makes the guys great. Yes, sir. When LeBron was in his prime, he could take a Kevin Durant, try to hold him

under what he would normally get while still giving you what I'd normally give you on the other end. And Michael, and Kobe, and the big guys. When you saw David Robinson have to go up against Olajuwon. Olajuwon have to go up against Shaq. Shaq have to go up against other centers. You still got to try

to neutralize them. I got to try to shut you down, keep you under what you normally do. Because if you allow a guy to get what he normally does, you ain't doing nothing. I mean, Ocho, if you play a DB, okay, you average, let's just say for the sake of argument, you're averaging

five, six catches a game for like 85 90 yards he lets you get those numbers well what the hell have you done your job is to keep Ocho under that 85 90 yards I don't care about the catches I want you to keep him though the yard I want you to keep him out of the end zone so yeah it's tough and if you go back and look, the last three games, Ant-Man hadn't shot the ball well. Why? He had to guard Jamal Murray. Takes a lot out of your legs.

He had to guard Kyrie, both games. Takes a lot out of your legs. If I'm them, I put him on somebody else that's not going to. Because I need him on the other end, Ocho. Yeah, you do. I need him on the other end. Especially when Cat's not playing well. Cat wasn't playing well.

I mean, Rudy Goldberg. Rudy Goldberg. How do you say his last name the right way? I don't want to say it wrong. Goldberg. Rudy Goldberg. Yes. Goldberg.

He's not an offensive threat, obviously. If he's under the rim, if he's by the rim, if he's in the post, he is. You know, Jaden McDaniels. Yeah, Young Bull only had two points. Yeah, Young Bull only had two points. Young Bull only had two points. Man, that bad dealing with Luka. How many points you thought he'll give you? I mean, come on, come on, man.

You know, so, I mean, it's difficult. And I think they need to make some adjustments, some tactical, schematical adjustments going to the next game against the Mavs because we need Ant-Man to be Ant-Man and it's hard for Ant-Man to be Ant-Man and give us what we want from the offensive standpoint when he's having to chase Kyrie around that's that's that's unfair even if he did call for it it's unfair yeah no they're not but see normally what your best player does is he take probably the weakest offensive player on the other end so therefore he can rest uh therefore he could rest right and not exert so much energy right i mean it's look it's a special type of person we've

seen kobe does it kobe wanted that assignment but if you go back and look at Jordan, when they played Magic in 91, Jordan took Magic. Magic had a triple-double, and the Lakers won the game. The game, games two through five, the Bulls won the next four games. Scottie Pippen took Magic. Ah. So, bingo. The proof is in the pudding.

Get your best player off of Kyrie. It was mainly because of the size differential. Magic is 6'9 and a half. Jordan is 6'6. So Magic just going to back it. Magic composed. So Magic just going to back it out and

shoot over the top of you. But they put Scottie Pippen on it. Scottie, pick him up 94 feet. Let's try to wear him down. But you look at Kobe. Kobe always – Kobe didn't know any better. Kobe always wanted – if a guard is your best player, Kobe wants that assignment.

I mean, LeBron used to have to take – you know, you go back and look at LeBron when they played the Bulls the year that Derrick Rose won the MVP. Yeah. LeBron took D. Rose. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Before post,

before the injury rose? Post, yeah. That explosion? LeBron took it. Go back and look at the San Antonio Spurs. Tony Parker. They lost the first game. LeBron took it. Go back and look at the San Antonio Spurs. Tony Parker. They lost the first game.

because he has to guard Tyrese Halliburton. He has to guard one of the better players on the offensive end, especially when it's the guard. So he understands that. That's why you have JT. That's why you have JB that can pick up the slack. But when you have guys, if cat is not picking up the slack,

where are you going to get it? You can't count. I ain't counting on Rudy go better. Ever give me 20 points in the playoffs. So I'd be foolish to think that. So you're saying cat, you're saying, and if you take Kyrie and you can somewhat neutralize him,

we know that's going to take some staff out of your legs. Hey cat, I need you to give me, be giving me about 30. Yeah. Yeah. can somewhat neutralize him we know that's going to take some sap out of your legs hey cat i need you to give me be giving me about 30 yeah that's what it's good and that's what it comes down to and see that's what makes them so unique is that you got luca and you got kairi right and you see what they did over the last two shots kairi hit a corner three They made it a two-point game. They get a rebound. They call a timeout. And now Lucas says, may I have this dance, Mr. Gobert? Listen, I'm tripping. Why

would Rudy Gobert even be out there in a situation like that? I know he's the defensive player of the year. Now, the defensive player of the year, he's great at being when he's down in the block or down in the post. Yes, he's a rim protector, not a home in the block or down in the post. Yes, he's a rim protector, not an on-ball. Not out there by the three. They need somebody

with a little bit better lateral movement and quickness. That should have been Cat. I'm not saying he wouldn't have done Cat like that because Lugo would probably do 98% of the NBA players like that, whoever bring him out there by the three. But just someone that would give him

a better chance. Once he created that separation with that step back, it was a wrap. It was a wrap. Ocho. They're down two points. Why do you care if Luka gets the layup?

Now we're tied and we get the ball back. Yeah. And then now you got the last shot. So if anything, We're going to overtime. Exactly. And then now you got the last shot. So if anything, I would... We're going to overtime. Exactly. I would apply pressure.

want to take that shot, if Derrick Jones want to take that shot, if anybody else wants to take that last shot, I'm going to live with that. But Kyrie and Luka, I'm going to blitz Kyrie.

As soon as the pick happened, as soon as they did the pick and the switch happened and goddamn Rudy ended up on Luka, somebody else should have trapped right away. Right away. So that's the coach's fault.

It's the coach's fault. That's why the Wolves lost. That's why I'm blaming them. Or you got to say, Jay, no. Under no circumstances are you giving up on it. Don't switch it. Oh, don't? No, hell no, don't switch it.

bears on the court for the last shot what the hell he gonna do you're not gonna throw it to him it's only three seconds why was cat on the bench help me understand i asked that i'm sure he's not happy i think he'd have been he'd have been happy had they won even though it's difficult because it's like i'm one of their best i'm one of the two best players on the team right offensively offensively at that period uh and i'm not in the game in the fourth quarter because i think he checked out with 840 to go in the game and he didn't check back in. Even on the last shot. Whose decision is that?

Draymond, Draymond Green, on the Shaq podcast, the big podcast, the fines, to me, don't make sense. When you talk about how hard as we work to accumulate wealth, coming from situations most people never make it out of, and then you get fined, the way we get fined, it's actually not set up for us to be wealthy after we're done playing if i do something wrong i lose a hundred thousand man and it takes my mom four years without growing up to make four a hundred thousand and if i lose that in the night because of what referee got mad at me or he didn't like

what i said so if i lose uh so i lose five000 like that on a tech, Draymond's techs and fives have run around $900,000. Suspension have cost him $3 million. And Draymond has made $153 million in his career. So that's around 4% of his career post-tax earnings that have gone to the league. I like what he's talking about. I like what he's talking about. I have nothing else to live for outside of obviously my kids, the missus, and making sure those I have kids for my good as well. Outside of that, what am I doing?
