Justin Herbert was 18 to 25, 227, three touchdowns, one interception. Bidal had 23 rushes, 117 yards. Herbert had seven carries for 62 yards. So 43 rush attempts over 200 yards.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Obviously, Ladd McConkey had a touchdown. Orlando Gasson the second had a touchdown. And Harris had a touchdown. So three touchdowns there. Y'all know who I am. I'm your favorite uncle, Shannon Sharp. And that is my partner and co-host. He's Liberty City's own.

We've got Ryan Rams lineback, excuse me, Byron Young. He currently leads the NFL in Sacks with nine. He and Brian Burns are tied leading the league in Sacks. He joins us a little later, but first Ocho. The charges beat the Vikings. It really wasn't close. As we look at the team stats, I think the charges might have had 30. Oh, they had 29 first downs. The other team had 12. Nine of 13 on third downs. That's why you see the score lopsided because that means they
Starting point is 00:07:14 didn't get off the field. As a matter of fact, they didn't punt. They didn't punt the football. If a team doesn't put the football, there's a good chance you're going to get ran through. absolutely uh 39 minutes time of possession um 419 total yards to 164 everything there were three for four on in the red zone uh both teams had one turnover oh cho it was it was it was bad it was bad on minnesota's part hey listen unk this game is representation if you looked in a dictionary and you look for belt the ass they would have an example of the Chargers versus the goddamn Vikings. Wins, listen, he didn't play bad.
Starting point is 00:07:56 I don't know what's wrong with J.J. McCarthy. In the heat of battle, your squad relies on you. Don't let them down. Unlock Elite Gaming Tech at Lenovo.com. Starting point is 00:08:40 A shutdown means we don't get the data, but it also means for President Trump that there's no chance of bad news on the labor market. What does a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich reveal about the economy? Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples, and so they sort of become outsize indicators of inflation. What's behind Elon Musk's trillion dollar payout? There's a sort of concerted effort to message that Musk is coming back. He's putting politics aside. He's left the White House.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And what can the PCE tell you that the CPI can't? CPI tries to measure out-of-pocket costs that consumers are paying for things, whereas the PCE, index that the Fed targets is a little bit broader of a measure. Listen to the big take from Bloomberg News every weekday afternoon on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi. Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why?
Starting point is 00:09:46 Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies. It's almost a dirty word. one that connotes conspiracy theory. Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre? Bad faith political warfare and, frankly, bullshit. We kill the ambassador just to cover something up. You put two and two together. Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Starting point is 00:10:09 Benghazi is a rosetta stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years. I'm Leon Nefok, from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries. This is Fiasco, Benghazi. What difference at this point does it make? Yeah, that's right. Lock her up. And this is NFL Cover Zero. We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different. Did you see the Colts Pretzel? That was my other big takeaway from that game.
Starting point is 00:11:45 What was that? Oh, my. We think NFL coverage should be informative and interactive. And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get. Visit Toyota.com slash NFL now to learn more. They say he's hurt.
Starting point is 00:12:12 I don't think he's hurt. I think they're regretting the fact that they let Sam Donald go. And I mean, Carson Wiss, he had a bag. he had a bad game, 15 for 27, 144. They tried to get sack five times too, Ocho. You got sack five times. They tried to get Justin Jefferson going.
Starting point is 00:12:29 He has seven for 74, but when you can't run the ball and a team makes you one-dimensional, and all they got to do is pin their ears back and come and get you, that's why he was sack five times. The charges needed this win, too. They needed this win to get the bad taste out their mouth after losing last week to the goddamn Colts, who had been on fire all season long outside of one game.
Starting point is 00:12:49 So, I mean, Justin Herbert looked good. Running game. They couldn't stop the running game. Well, it couldn't stop anything. Hey, when you can't stop the running game. You can only do two things, don't you? You can either run the football or throw it. You need to be able to stop one.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Because if you can't stop either. Either one of them. Yeah, that's why the game looked like this. Obviously, they were very efficient on third downs. And this is what you get. You get 37 points. You said they ain't punt tonight, huh? They didn't.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Well, God damn. Yeah, back to the draw. This is what Andy did to them last week. Yes. Put belt to ass. And so it was only on a short week. Let's get that taste out of our mouth. We're in our building.
Starting point is 00:13:31 We don't want what happened last week to happen again this week. Right. The one thing, look, Jim Harbaugh, his teams normally are ready to, they're prepared. They're a well-coached team. They got a lot of talent. The Chargers got talent. they really they really have talent and now they get uh the uh the pass rush uh what's the name from the raiders and the bears and now he's in the charges calil mac calil mac yeah now you get
Starting point is 00:14:02 him back collapse in the side of the pocket oh yeah yeah yeah man who we yep so with the you got pyramid you got Henley in the middle you got too fast linebackers that can chase side decide you're not going to have a whole lot of time to throw the football they got a nice rotation they can get they can hunt your quarterback now if you can't hold up against the if you can't hold up against the rush you're not going to be able to beat this team no you're not going to be able to beat them you got you got you got to hold up against their rush I believe you there's some there's some things look I understand derwin james back then the secondary but I'm not like oh you can't throw on them but you have to be able to hold up because they don't have to cover
Starting point is 00:14:43 a long time. Right. Because their front seven is really good. Offensively, you know, you got Keenan Alley, you got Ladd McConkey, you got a gas in the second, you got guys that can make plays. Johnson, you got guys that can really, really make plays. Justin Herbert, look, the Miami Dolphin fans are kicking them like, man, we could have had that.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Yes, you could have. Yes, sir. But your owner, your owner, this is not Brian Flores, and this is your owner, he wanted tour yeah tank for a you remember the sides on show tank for tour tour yeah now both of y'all tank empty here and y'all's um the charges look really good they're five and three to tie with the broncos right now obviously the broncos have a tough matchup is that game sunday night or is that a sunday game the cowboys at the broncos they might they might they need they need to flex it if it's not a four o'clock a night game late i don't think i don't think you can flex the first half
Starting point is 00:15:42 it's the second half you can flex i think you kind of lock you kind of locked me okay okay that's that's a good one and i don't think i don't think cb i think that's a cbs game i don't i don't think cbs going look they only get they only get the uh cowboys maybe once twice a year if i say Thanksgiving day game and cbs have the after the late game you know the 430 game yeah so they ain't really trying to give the cowboys up now fox fox like hey we could all we all we normally get them at four o'clock right or 420 game we normally get them seven, eight, nine times a year. Well, you take one, okay, we cool. CBS, like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:16:20 But I look, Minnesota, I agree with you, Ocho, but here's the thing. And we were talking, Ash and I were talking about what the 49ers did. See, it was easy for the 49ers because they put the competition up and rock pretty, beat out Tray Lance. Yes, sir. J.J. McCarthy was going to be the starter. got hurt. So we, a top 10 pick, and we got a guy. So are we, so, so what are we going to do? It's going to take at least $30 million to sign Sam Darnel, and we still got a top 10 pick that we really believe in. Minnesota, if you ask him, they're saying, considering the
Starting point is 00:17:02 way Sam Donald was played, way he played last year, where he played, wait, the way he's playing now. Now, yeah. They say, we want him. We would take him over Sam, we'd take him over, uh, McCarton wins and JJ McCarthy. Absolutely. But unfortunately, you've got to make a decision. You've got to make a decision. Are you really trying to bring Sam Darno back on a three-year, $100 million deal, and you've got a guy that you took it with a top 10 pick on your bench.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Hold on. I mean, I'd rather not guess. I'd rather go with what I know I'm getting as opposed to I'm unsure, but we picked him in a certain slot and we basically started over. So it's a toss-up. because you never know what you're going to get. I really think, I mean, honestly, I don't know what type of injury it may be,
Starting point is 00:17:47 but I think he's healthy and they just don't want to go back to him. They want Carson Wins. They want him to sit there and learn for another year on the sideline. Well, if that's the case, you should have signed, you should have signed Sam Darnal. I mean, but here's the thing, Ocho, okay,
Starting point is 00:18:03 let's just say for the sake of argument, what you're saying is correct. He sits two years. He plays his third year. You're going to have to do like Joe and Love. You're going to have to make a $50 million investment. Oh, yeah. Are you going to be comfortable making that decision? Because Jordan Love really put the pressure on him considering the way he played in that third year. Yes. So J.J. McCarthy would have had to put the pressure on him. That mean, that's hindsight. That's a magnificent science now. But that's a tough. That's tough. When you select a quarterback so high, you get a guy and he's playing really well and you don't want to take him out. Now, it was easy for Sam Donald to keep playing. because J.J. McCarthy was done
Starting point is 00:18:43 for the year. Right. It would have been interesting to see had he not gotten hurt. I believe Jay J.J. McCarthy was going to start. I think they had Sam Darner as an insurance as a backup, as an insurance policy. If something, you know, if he struggled Ocho, we ain't got no problem.
Starting point is 00:19:01 We got a veteran guy. We bring him in. But he got hurt so early. Honestly, the day the truth, with the way Sam Darner played last year, with the way he's playing this year, I'm not sure J.J. McCarthy would have beat him out. I agree.
Starting point is 00:19:17 I agree. I agree. I mean, listen, I don't, I don't. They saw something we didn't see because he mainly ran the football. They were mainly a running team under Harbaugh. So for him, for them to be so that, okay, he can throw the football. And look, I saw what he did against the Bears open the night.
Starting point is 00:19:36 He played well. He came out in the second half and he played extremely well. But I agree with you. I think they really wanted Carson Wentz to play well and keep the job. But unfortunately, his offensive line is not doing very well. He makes his mind up. Man, they tried to throw a wheel route to Jones. Michelle across came Scott ass-free.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Yeah, Scott-free, yeah. Because you see what happens? When that happened, you miss throws like that on Joe, you've made your mind up. When you broke the huddle, I'm throwing his wheel route. No matter what. And what you should have done, if I can't stop Mike Backer, who has to run with the wheel,
Starting point is 00:20:10 If I catch him napping, I'm going to throw the reel. Otherwise, I'm going to go through the progression. I don't know who it was. I don't know if it was Addison, but I think they ended up getting a touchdown anyway. He ran the shallow. He was wide-ass open. Yeah. He was basically streaking.
Starting point is 00:20:24 I mean, they don't do that anymore like they used to in the 70s and 80s. It was a big thing, you know, streaking at sporting events. Yeah. But I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't get it. I don't get it. I thought Minnesota kind of revamped the offensive line. Khalil Mack took the left tackle one time and just sought him. and wince his lap they were just like I mean every time I turn around like oh it was
Starting point is 00:20:43 pressure him he was running he you know he gets flustered and then his head is down and he's not looking down the field yeah he was he was frustrated I mean he let his emotion get the best of mommy obviously you're showing you're showing passion you're frustrated you're getting hit you're hurting your elbow messed up and you're getting sacked me five times so he allowed his frustration to show on the sideline and I'm listen they're going to be all right you know Brian Flores and that defense, obviously, they didn't look apart tonight, but they're not going to look like this every game. They're not going to look like this every game. They're back to the drawing board, and we know what a Brian Flores defense can do just tonight when they're night.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Hell, listen, the charges get paid too. Well, we got to get some help, Ocho. Can the offense, can you stay on the field? Yeah. Because if you go after they score, if you had kicked the ball off and you go three and out and put us right back on the field, what the hell do you expect to happen? Right. we need you to take a little hey give us a break
Starting point is 00:21:41 hey offense hold on to the ball a little bit let us get some water hey soon as I offense the defense you up up we just came out yeah so we'll see what's going
Starting point is 00:21:57 because that you got Detroit in that division and you got Green Bay and Chicago don't look like no slout and Chicago is already beating you yeah they're bowling there Bears balling. So when you look at it, Ocho, and you look at what they did last year, what they were 14 and 3.
Starting point is 00:22:16 And right now they're 3 and 4. So they're not winning, they're not winning, you know, nine straight games, 10 straight games. They're not winning 10 games, they can go in 13 and 4. So I'm sure Minnesota fans like, man, we should have just, we should have just went ahead and kept Sam Donald. And plus, Ocho, three year, $100 million. Leo, that's manageable.
Starting point is 00:22:39 That's, I didn't have to give him 40 or 50. But that's, that's a, that's a, a family discount. What's you're talking about? Yes, it is. So it's going to,
Starting point is 00:22:52 uh, I mean, Vikings, Vikings beat the Bears. The Bears were winning. The Bears were winning in the first half. And then J.J. McCarthy had that outstanding second half.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Um, but the, the bears are different teams. than when the Vikings face them opening date. I think we could all agree to that. Look, that's a division game, NFC North, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, and Minnesota. They play each other.
Starting point is 00:23:18 They're very familiar with each other. But Chicago is a different team now. That's not the team that y'all played open tonight. And we know what Detroit is. Detroit is Detroit. And once they start getting their guys back healthy, it's only going to get, it's only going to get, look, offensive, they're healthy.
Starting point is 00:23:35 It's when they start getting those defense. guys back. The Kirby Joseph, the Arnold. When they start, the Brian Branch, he'll be back. He had a suspension. Once they start getting those guys back. Green Bay is Green Bay. If y'all couldn't keep the charges off your ass,
Starting point is 00:23:54 good luck. Keeping Micah and, Rishon Gary. Those guys off you. Good luck with that. That's going to be a good one. That's going to be a good one. Ocho, the biggest story, I know it's football, but the biggest story that we've had in a very... In the heat of battle, your squad relies on you.

But anyway, assistant coach Tiago Splitter would take over for Billups as Portland New interim coach. Rozier is accused of being part of a gambling ring that used inside information to make illegal wages. According to ABC, Rozier and Billups are just two of the names
Starting point is 00:29:09 arrested in a wide-ranging probe called Operation Royal Flush. They need to stop. That started four years ago, two indictments have 34 defendants listed. The indictment alleges that Rozier told Associates he was going to take himself out of games during the first quarter on March 23rd of 2023
Starting point is 00:29:27 against the pelicans so others could bet the under prop bets. This information was sold to others so they could also profit. There was a $259,000 that was wagered on Rozier by a group of people with inside information according to the indictment. Rozier played under 10 minutes in the game. Billups took part in a rig poker game.
Starting point is 00:29:51 In Manhattan, according to the FBI, how do you rig a poker game? Well, Ocho, according, they had X-ray machines built in the tables. So when you lay the cars face down, I can see what your whole cards are. a minute. Now I can play. Contact lenses through glass that re-marked cards. So you know, oh, that's an ace. That's this. That's a that. Secret cameras in card trades. Bill is also alleged to have provided insider information on the Trailblazers injury while team was tanking at the end of 2023 season. Former NBA player, Damon Jones, was also arrested. Jones sold information on the Lakers game so other to be.
Starting point is 00:30:34 on it. According to the indictment, Jones is a close friend of LeBron James, who did not play in the game in question. The Lakers were named in the investigation during the press conference. Each defendant in the NBA gambling case has been charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Hey, um, man, this is, man, boy, this is, this is, this is big, this is huge. This is like, this is like an episode of law and order. You hear me? For one, okay, I understand the gambling part. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:08 What grabs me. What grabs my attention is the fact that the mafia is still prevalent in today's society. What do you think they win? Wait, hold on. It's New York. Oh, listen, I know they never went nowhere, right? But they're never visible. Their presence as opposed to the 70s and 80s.
Starting point is 00:31:24 That's what the real mob does. They're not flashy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But they have reputable businesses. Yes. They have trucking and they have cement companies. and they have delivery services. So they have legitimate businesses
Starting point is 00:31:38 to hide behind the other things. See, and people ask, this is why the NFL and the NBA puts out all injury reports. So therefore, because they didn't put it out, and guess what? People know
Starting point is 00:31:53 I can get parts of that information. And what it looked like that what happened in the Damon Jones situation, he gave them the information before it came out. They bet before everybody else knew, LeBron James was a scratch. They had already got the money.
Starting point is 00:32:09 So now the line is going to come down, but they already got in on the other. It's just, oh, let me tell you a story. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, wait. Let me get comfortable on that, because your stories be good. This, this is why I stopped going to, going, we used to have the same thing.
Starting point is 00:32:27 We had, we had to play craps. Yeah. Go every Monday night. We would go, at first it was just guys on the team. and the former player that everybody knew. I knew him a long time. Yes, sir. And so we would go over there, we would roll dice.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Everybody, a month's friend, you know, we lend somebody money. The thing was, I wouldn't lend you money so you can bet against me. What I looked like giving you a thousand dollars and then you're going to fade me. Right, right, right, right. You're going to fade me with my own money? No, that's not going to happen. But anyway. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:59 They started letting other people come in. Uh-oh. Straining. Other people came. came in because we didn't care Hey, at first we used to have like 10 packs of 10 packs of dice
Starting point is 00:33:10 And sometimes Hey, you get hot on the dice You keep the dice for like 5, 10 minutes Hey, you put the dice in your pocket So hey man, these my special dice I don't want nobody else to touch these Right, right, right, right. Well, lo and behold
Starting point is 00:33:22 They let other people They start letting other people coming out Like, but who is you? Man, I know such and such. Oh, Lord. Who about for this in you? Hold on. Don't tell me they came in there with some damn trick dice, aren't?
Starting point is 00:33:33 Man, they came in there with them crooks, which are loaded dice. And the thing was, Ocho, the hardest points on the dice to hit is 10 and 4 because there's only two ways you can make it. Yes, so. You can make it 5, 5, or you can make it 6, 4. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:49 The same thing with 4. You get 3-1 or you get 2-2. You get flowers or you get little Joe Kokem. So that's it. Uh-huh. Man, that joke would throw them dice. It rolled 10. So you know, hey, so you know, hey, everybody going to jump on that 10.
Starting point is 00:34:05 You ain't fit to hit that 10? Right. I'll tell you something. I don't know, Chad, if y'all ever gamble before, but if you want to break up a dice game, hit 10 or 4. I don't saw cars and exchange hands. I don't saw a lot of it happen with that 10 of 4. Come on, man. But anyway, he came out, he hit 10.
Starting point is 00:34:23 So you know everybody jump on it. Hey, you know, I'll jump on it with both feet too. Ha! You ain't fit to hit that? Right. So he took a cool 200, 200 off me, you know. Yeah, yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 00:34:35 I said, let me come back. Let me come back. He rolled a four. Oh, back to back. He rolled a 10. He kicked the 10. And then he came back. Oh, Joe.
Starting point is 00:34:46 The end was hitting it out the dough. So I say, what the? So I only go over there with like $2,0,000. Right, right, right. Right. The dice game up, hit for about 30. What, 30 what? 30, 30, bad.
Starting point is 00:35:04 You got to realize it's like 15, 20 of us in there. We all NFL players. So we all got bred or guys would go to the ATM and get money and come back. Oh, hey, eh, y'all should know something was up, man. Oh, Joe, didn't know. So I told my homeboy Burns, he had gone out of town. Because at the time, Michelle was in Virginia. So by week, you know, not the bye week.
Starting point is 00:35:30 But he would go home. So he would leave that Monday, go home, stay Monday night, come back Tuesday. Because a lot of times we didn't have, probably we win, we didn't have, we didn't have no meeting, we have anything, just get back with it. Right, right, right. As a matter of fact, he was catching the red. I'd get home's early Monday morning. But anyway, I told him, I said, man, Bernie ain't going to believe this.
Starting point is 00:35:50 I said, dude, dude, he broke the game up. He said, what? He said, what he was hitting? I said, dude, we had a dude named Reggie, Reggie Hayward. He broke the game up. he had the dice for like an hour. I ain't never seen nobody get that hot, but it was legit.
Starting point is 00:36:04 He had the dice for an hour. Every point on the dice, he hit. He was seven out the door. You hit, A. Ludge A, that four-five? A, you were talking about born and 54, died in 63. What's my point? Nine.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Yaya! Yaya! What Jesse James carried? Forty-b-bam, bam, bam, bam, bam. Hey, hey, he rolled four, Emin Smith, wha, out the door. Stayed on the dice for an hour. I see Burns, old boy, ten or four, had the dice just like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:42 The next week, the guy house that he was at, he was rolling a dice. Had two grand out there, had it. Everybody had it. He crapped out. He picked the dice up. Yeah. And through them, they split open. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Now you can see where the weight was. So I go, I don't hear about this till the next. So this was on Monday. Yeah. They start calling me, man, sharp, you ain't going to bleed this. I say what? Man, man, man, boy had crooks. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:37:22 I said, he had the weight of dice. Like, yeah, man. what you think we should do? I say, I don't know what y'all going to do. I ain't going to do nothing because I'm going to go to jail. So I said, look, I'm done. From that point on, I said, I'm done. I told Burns, I said, Byrd, if you want to go, he's like, you ain't going, I ain't going.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Right. But anyway, and I started, I started, look, boy, look here, I started to get the dude that vouch for him, and I knew him, but he, we've been cool. You vouch for him. You vouch for him. You got to cover him. But anyway, dude, I brought a brand new. Brought a brand new maximum, kidded it out.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Hey, new gear, that's what stopped me from doing, that's what stopped me from doing the house game. Right. I got, first of all, it's got to be like us. It got to be us. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, outside. It's all, I ain't talking about, no, homeboy, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:38:14 No. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Ocho, your homeboy can't play. Right. Everybody, me, you, XYZ, we NFL player, boo. I believe we're going to be on the up and up. But somebody come to the game, they know it, they know if money going to be there, they're going to come in and cheat.
Starting point is 00:38:29 The card game the same thing. That's what happened with the online poker. Yeah. Guys had the online poker. He had the, you know, it's a, what they call it? But anyway, they can see your cards. Right. Hey, that's pretty crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Technology is so advanced. Listen, the part that scared me, young, I understand Chauncey in trouble. I understand Damon Jones. in trouble. I understand Terry Rozier. For one, I'm not risking it. I'm not risking the position that I'm in. But you don't believe you're risking it. Huh? Think about it. A lot of this stuff happened in 23. It's 25. Ocho, you know, what criminal you know make a score and said, I'm done. I quit. Well, you can't. But you understand. When the FBI get a wholly and that, the FBI,
Starting point is 00:39:16 they watch you for a couple of years. They don't let it run. They got a way to they get you. Oh, Joe. I can't get you with one charge. Because you're a first timer, you're going to get off. I got to get you deep. I got to make sure the hook is set. Yeah, it got to bill up. It got to bill up. This is the scary part of the deal.
Starting point is 00:39:34 You got to set the hook because if you don't sit it right, a big one going to get away. Oh, yeah, absolutely. But this is the part that scared me though, right? Like, understanding, understanding, okay, I understand the gambling part. It's the part about being part of the mafia being entangled into it. Man, that's a no-no for me right there off back.
Starting point is 00:39:52 I don't see any sopranos, yeah? I don't see in Goodfellas. I know it's a depiction of a fictional story maybe, but that's real life. I'm thinking about extortment. I'm thinking about once you tied into them, man, that's you. Now you've got a point shave.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Now you got to feed them information. What I hate most look, and I know, listen, I know Chaunce Billis since he was in high school. He went to G. In Denver, Colorado, which was about a mile from where I was staying. I used to stay in the breakers, anybody from Denver know exactly where the breakers are on Mississippi and where G-dub is.
Starting point is 00:40:31 There's a car wash. It used to be a sterling car wash right across the street. Chauncey Billings went to G-dub. He was sensational. Sensational. Three-time Mr. Basketball, All-State, all you. So we get that. And so I feel bad for Chauncey,
Starting point is 00:40:45 and I hope, I hope this is what they suggest. But my thing is, is, and I hope this is just, but Damon Jones, do everybody knows what LeBron goes through to try to make sure he has no stain, because what did they put in the paper? They put LeBron James. This man has done everything he possibly could
Starting point is 00:41:12 to keep his nose clean to make sure he doesn't have the people, look, Maverick he grew up with, rich he met at a very young age, Randy he grew up with. So he so insulated himself. LeBron don't have a whole lot of close friends. You see him, you're going to always see Randy. Rand is his chief of staff.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Rich is his agent. Obviously, Maverick handles all the other business inquiries. You put this man on the spot because it's a legend that you sold information that LeBron is not going to play before it became public knowledge. And they say they have a text message of something between the two. I just, I just hate. I just, I just hate.
Starting point is 00:41:55 And obviously the funny thing about that, LeBron doesn't know. I mean, them exchanging message, him letting them know, that's like me texting you, and we're going to play the Raiders, but I'm not playing. Like, that's, that's no harm,
Starting point is 00:42:06 no foul on LeBron's part because he had no idea what's going on. Exactly. Yeah, so, but the one thing, and what I was talk about, about them being dealing, dealing with the mafia, you understand these people,
Starting point is 00:42:17 these people have no regard for life. No. Once you end business, with them, that mean you got the old ways once they got them hooks in you. I need all the answers. I need who's playing, who's coming out, what's a score lying on be, and what happened
Starting point is 00:42:31 when you get it wrong? What happened when you mess up? What happened when you place a bet, you give them certain information and it doesn't come out the way it should and they lose money? Well, all of a sudden you say he's not going to play, then all of a sudden he plays. He'll game time and he end up playing. Hold on. What about
Starting point is 00:42:47 this? Once you end, once you end with them like that, what about, you know what? I don't want to do this no more. I don't want to I don't want to do it no more. And it's reported that, like, he got $2,500. So on a $50,000 bet,
Starting point is 00:43:03 I think it was a $50,000 bet. Wasn't it a $50,000 bet? How much was it? It was over $100,000. They gave you $2,500. Now, what, hold on. They didn't even give you 10%. They gave you 2%. What the hell I'm going to do with that?
Starting point is 00:43:19 Two, two, hey, Oh, Joe. Yeah. If it's $2 billion, I'll take $2.000. But not no damn $100,000. No, absolutely not. I just, oh, bad. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Hey, hey, I'm, listen, I understand the gambling part, right? And the gambling part, to me, because I've been in that lifestyle. I don't gamble. Y'all know my cheap ass, no gamble. I'm saying I've just been in that world for so long and seen so many people gamble the past 30 years. The part that is, that has me stunned and is amazed, is, boy, you're dealing with the mafia. I think people just like letting it go and they, hell.
Starting point is 00:43:58 No, they're real. Damon Jones, Chauncey and goddamn Terry Rozier is the only one that's on the goddamn news. Well, where is everybody else? What are the other 30? There ain't no names. I got to get the big, oh, Joe, let me ask you a question. When the last time you see somebody post a fish that was this big?
Starting point is 00:44:18 They post the trophy fish They are the trophies Yeah So now you You lose your job You lose your career But you know They still gonna be making their money, huh?
Starting point is 00:44:33 Oh yeah they ain't gonna You know you know it's not gonna stop No absolutely not I bro look here And I I used to gamble I did I mean I used to come to Vegas and gamble I gamble on the plane
Starting point is 00:44:47 We played, you know, we used to play Tunk and we used to play in between. Yeah. Pots get up to $5,000, $20,000, $30,000. American money? Yes. Man, shit, boy, you're all tripping, man. Man, I look, I took a car for a guy.
Starting point is 00:45:04 I felt bad for him because I know if he had to go home, he going to get a divorce. He had a resto, a Chavelle, 454. Right. Black. Beautiful. You took the picture. I said, man, give me, give me three grand, call it a date.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Y'all were betting card, pink slips. Hey, he got up, he got in the hole. And that's what happens, Ocho. Oh, he was in the hole. There was a story I hear about a dude name, I think his name was Jeffrey Wantanabi, lost $204 million. Lost his family fortune.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Read it, go read about it. Oh 200. Go read about it. Hey, chat. No, his name was Terran. I think his name was Terrence Montanavi.
Starting point is 00:45:53 Hey, chat, somebody sent that to my Instagrams or my Twitter, please. I got, I got to read that. How do you lose, did you see the movie The Gambler? Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Like, I didn't know people had issues like that where they're addicted to gambling. Like, how do you move? Gambling? Yeah, alcohol, drugs, yes. It's an addiction. It's an endorphins.
Starting point is 00:46:13 It's a high. a rush. How do you, you lose $250,000. You go to the shark and ask for more money. Oh, hold on, read that a lot. Say what it was, Ash. $240. $240 million? Yes. At what point do you say stop?
Starting point is 00:46:33 And what point do you say no? I lose $20. I'm going to lose my mind. Yeah, he was up. But see, here's the thing, Ocho. Same thing, there was a guy named Arnie at the Benions. He was up, he was up 50 million, lost it all back. He had every $5,000 chip that was in the hotel. The hotel used to have the casino used to have to come to his room and get the chips.
Starting point is 00:47:01 Because he had them all. He lost it all. You know, I don't understand. I just, I can't grasp the concept. I understand gambling. Listen, I really can't talk now, Unk because I just started, I just started playing a little blackjack myself. Every time I go to Vegas.
Starting point is 00:47:20 I don't go to Vegas often, but I go to the blackjack table. You know how much I spend? I take $200 out at ATM. I paid a $25 hands. Yeah. When that $200 is gone, man, I'm hurting. And it's only $200. And now you're saying these extraordinary numbers,
Starting point is 00:47:38 how the hell you lose $240 million? Because when you get down, you try to get it back. Because let me tell you how it happens. Okay, I lose 50. Hey, I lose 50. I'm going to bet 100 to try to get it back. Now I'm down 150. So guess what I got to do, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:47:51 I'm going to bet 200 because I'm going to get all three. I'm going to get the two hands that I lost and I'm going to be plus 50. And before you know it, now, you bet in 25, 50, 100,000 a hand. So how long will it take you? Because if you go on a rush, you go on a run, you could bet, hey, go back and look. I think it was the MGM. Carrie, what was his daddy name? Packard.
Starting point is 00:48:16 He was an Australian billionaire. Go read about what he did to the MGM and how he wrecked their quarterly report. He wrecked it? Yes. When he won, he went on a run. He won, yes. Big time.
Starting point is 00:48:34 But in knowing, the lady that was serving him, she would bring him, you know, smooth is a award. whatever it was right go get your mortgage i'm gonna pay it off for you oh he was talking spicy he did it carry packard is the is yeah yes dmgm beat about it oh i know all the stories hey listen gambling gambling is an addiction huh absolutely Absolutely, it is.
Starting point is 00:49:13 And listen, a lot of people say, oh, stop acting naive. See, there's certain things that I don't know about. There are certain things that I don't know about because it was never, it never sparked my interest. That's not something that I, that I, it ain't like soccer.
Starting point is 00:49:27 I can take about, I can talk about boxing. I talk about tennis. But gambling? Hell, what do you call them? I just started playing black check this year. Oh, yeah, oh, he was a whale. Those are what they call whales.
Starting point is 00:49:43 What was the guy used to be a penthouse? What was the guy on a penthouse? He was in the wheelchair. Oh, damn, I forgot his name. I made him one time. He owned Hustler. Yes, yes, yes. Damn, I forgot his name.
Starting point is 00:49:59 I met him in L.A. He passed away. He was a whale. Larry Flint. Yeah, Mr. Flint, that's right. Yep, yep. But, Ocho, the thing is that Look, I played a couple of hands, and you know, hey, you know, I pay, hey, hey, how much you, how much you would have been?
Starting point is 00:50:20 I don't mean to be in your business, but I just, for better context. I'll take this store, Ocho, we was at the Rio. Uh-huh. We was at the Rio. Okay. And it was me, seven, 30, 53, and Crockpot. It was us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:36 So we've played. so I had like 25,000 on me John was playing John was so I had you know I've won and he was playing so he got a card he split so he got so he
Starting point is 00:50:52 split him then it was another of the same card he split that we had about he had about six cards that was split and then he ended up doubling down we had like 40,000 on the table and the dealer bus
Starting point is 00:51:09 He took all mine, because if the dealer would have hit, all my little $25,000 was gone. He was like, give me your money. I'm like, whoa, hold on. He told me, give you my money. What kind of bulljad is there? But we won. But it's a, Ocho, ain't nothing like it.
Starting point is 00:51:26 It's nothing like sitting there, you play $5,000 or $10,000 of hand, and then you get blackjack. Oh, you get. What gets scary, Ocho, what gets scary, Ocho, is that when you get a double down hand and you got the $5,000 or you got $10,000 on the wood.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Yeah. Now when you got a double down hand, you got $10,000 on the wood, what did that mean? You double your money? You doubled it, so you got to put $10,000, 10 more with it. Nah, man.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Double it. Or you split it. You got to put 10. That's what happens, Ocho. You get a double down hand. yeah you get a split you get a split hand so let you get say you get a pair of eights or a pair of nines against a seven or below yeah you're gonna split them now you get a three a two or three now you doubling that so now that's 20,000 now you get this head you get a split you got a
Starting point is 00:52:25 double now you double that 2020 30 40 that's 40 thousand on the wood yeah it ain't it ain't worth it. And you hear me? It ain't worth it because I'm thinking about the loss. I'm thinking about the loss. But you can't think like that. So you can't go to the table because you can't look at the chips as money. You look at them as objects. The moment you look at them as money, get up
Starting point is 00:52:49 from the table. Hey, for one, for one, unless you make the kind of revenue and you have disposable income, your ass shouldn't be gambling no way. Yeah. Unless you have disposable income, I don't care. NFL players, I don't care how much, I don't care if you got a $50 million dollar contract. Your ass
Starting point is 00:53:05 shouldn't be at no goddamn crap table or playing backjack or no rotisserie or none of that. Yeah. What's the one going to circle again? What it's called? That's roulette. I'm talking about rotisserie. I'm talking about roulette. That's a league. That's a gambling league.
Starting point is 00:53:21 But anyway, I know what you meant. And plus the new thing now is Baccarat. Read the field ivy story. I be famous. I know that name. I know he'll poker player. I know his name. But they went, they went, they went overseas him and a, uh, in a, uh, a, a, uh, a Chinese lady. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:53:42 What happened? Read about that story. It's good or bad? Uh, it's bad. Well, he won, but they fought because the lady could count cards. Oh. You can see the imperfections. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:53:57 But, Ocho, that gambling man is a, uh, Ocho, why you think people be watching these game? You think they really be liking these teams? Some people do. I got fantasy and I got real money. You messing up my parlay. That's why they call you the N-word. That's why they say you worse than Hitler. Bro, you lost me my money.
Starting point is 00:54:16 What the... Hey, if you can't stay in to lose your money, you don't bet. You don't, you don't bet. Well, you suck. Man, I'm telling you, old y'all. Yeah, no. Hey, hey, that's fascinating. It's fascinating hearing the stories.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Yeah. But I can't put myself in position to put my money where I have no control over whether I win or lose. I don't, I don't want to, the house don't let you in. I'd have heard enough horror stories to stay away from it. You got to be able to see, the thing, the reason why the house wins so much, they can weather the storm. Because guess what, Ocho, if you start winning too much, they'll ask you to leave. Okay, that's enough, Mr. Johnson.
Starting point is 00:55:07 No, what? No, we think you haven't, we've done enough for tonight. The question is, when you win, can you get up on your own to leave? Because they don't usher you to, when you're losing, they don't ask you to leave.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Can you ask yourself to leave when you lose, when you start, can you leave when you start to lose? Man, listen. This, Ocho, This is what happened, excuse me. This is what happens in the gaming space. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I mean, hey, can you imagine how do you even, I'm still stuck on the mafia part. Because I understand how that can end. You're not just putting your life in jeopardy. Yeah, everybody gets close to you. They play for keys, now. Hey, man, I ain't got, man, who, what? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:56:01 you know there's there's a certain excuse me we speaking to gambling now excuse my my lack of knowledge I might be wrong the greatest player the greatest basketball player of all time yes if I'm not mistaken second grade but okay yeah he'll big gamble yes yes he like you like you like you see where I'm going I'm trying not to say it without saying it because you lost someone very close to him mm-hmm but everybody know but if But the thing is, there are a lot of people that lost because they tripped next to him and feel they got the gambler as much as him. He's the logo.
Starting point is 00:56:38 He ain't got to play no more basketball. And he's still going to get, he going to get, you know, 300, 400 million. And he ain't drip. What the last time Michael Joy and dribble the basketball? No, but see, you're not understanding what I'm saying. Didn't he lose somebody closest to him based on, okay. So you get where I'm going with it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Okay. See, that's what the reports believe that it has something to do with that. Exactly. Which is why I don't understand how child. and Damon and Terry would even, yo, you, what, you part of who, Gambino, who? No, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:57:08 I'm good. Renato, Lucase, I can help you with none of that information. Because in the minute it don't go right and you can't get to me, you're going to the next closest thing to me. I don't want, I don't want that. So that's, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:23 and reportedly, the NBA investigated Terry Rozier in clarity that's the problem that you got yeah they investigated him last year oh joe we briefly touched on this uh-huh uh-huh and they cleared it now you see why the NFL see that's see that's why you can't do it Ocho because guess what these gaming companies they want to be able to bet with the NFL and MLB so they're going to turn you in oh yeah absolutely they're going to turn you in because like hold on wait a minute he He's just a guy.
Starting point is 00:58:01 And why are we getting all these problems back coming in on him? And he just, oh, no. They'll pull it off the board. Man, please. Got damn. Look, in situations like this, Ocho, you got to just take your medicine and I hope it's not true. I look, I don't really know anybody but Johnson.
Starting point is 00:58:26 The FBI does not come and get you until they have enough evidence to convict you of whatever said crime is. Well, I can hope, Ocho, damn. You know, hope the people in the hair hope they can get some goddamn ice water. Is it coming? Absolutely not. I'm hoping. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:58:48 I'm a hope with you. I just, you know, Ocho, I'm just saying in a situation like this, you don't think, you don't think, you don't think you know how we're wired we think we're invincible because think about Ocho this was 2023 when this was going on
Starting point is 00:59:09 it's 25, Ocho they didn't have forgot about that oh no, they don't forget by nothing now. Yeah, you know Ocho, you remember when your grandma, your mama said my grandma said boy I'm going to tell your tail up when you get home. About two, three hours go by, oh, she didn't forget about that. And next thing, you know, she's shutting down on you.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Wow, wow, I just go! So, man, I just, boy, this is, this is, boy, they about to get, they about to get real, real, real. What, straight? But that, but that's, that's the problem. That's why you see these fans when, when their team, man, what the first thing they say? Man, you messed up my parlay. You messed up my fantasy. Yeah, my, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:54 Man, I'm not thinking about your fantasy. I think about I lost us the game. Yeah, they were. Damn your fantasy. They worry about that money. That's it has messed up, man. And then they don't pull Gill in it. They're talking about Gil and dying people out.
Starting point is 01:00:10 I think it was Rachel Nichols. They put it out there like, I like, well, damn, Rachel, I hope you got some concrete, solid evidence. Yeah, I think Gil addressed it earlier. But yes, but for illegal, illegal poker, illegal gambling. I think the thing is, oh, Chowellie. And see, this is what lead, what people to believe. See, I told you the NBA was rig.
Starting point is 01:00:35 I told you this was rig. See? Yeah, but see, hey, listen, you can't say the NBA or the NFL is rig when a small, I'm talking about a very small percentage, very small percentage of people get in trouble like this. Mm-hmm. Very, very, very small. You remember that, hold on, you remember that Shoahel Tani's story?
Starting point is 01:00:54 His interpreter, 20 million. Ooh. And some of that was funneled through, uh, art's world. Hey, that's a different level. 20 minutes. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:01:12 Hey. But I tell you, man, I'll tell you one thing my grandma always said. My grandma always told me, boy, a fool and his money. Soon part, shall soon part ways. And that shit, I mean, excuse me, I don't mean the curse. It is stuck with me
Starting point is 01:01:28 through a lifetime. Where I understand I can have a little fun, but I know where to draw the line. I understand there are addictions in the world, whether it be alcohol, whether it be drugs, whether it be gambling. I mean, whether it be horizontal activity, you know. Gambling is one thing I've never done. Now, I'm enjoying and having some fun with it with a $200 limit, only blackjack because it's just me and a dealer. And the people that sit down with me, they can help me understand the game and whether to hit or the state. That's it.
Starting point is 01:02:00 You need to learn how to play yourself because they're like, hey, would you like to play? I say, well, I ain't going to play with my money if you want to give me some of this house money and let me learn how to play. I'm not learning how to play nothing with my money. I'm going to know. When I sit my black ass down, I'm going to know how to play.
Starting point is 01:02:17 And especially if you're at the blackjack table and you play in third base, boy, you mess up everybody hanging. I'm definitely not letting you play third base. Yeah. But, oh, you know, look, we gamble by everything. because, see, in the league, it's really not about the money. We bet obscure things. Like I say, I'm going to bet you $5,000 in pennies.
Starting point is 01:02:39 I don't want your money. I want your pride. Everybody got money in the league. Some might not have as much as other, but I want you to go to the bank. I want you to go up to the cashier and, hey, take your debit card if you got one. And when that lady asks you, say, what are you going to do with $10,000 in dimes? What do you need $12,000 in Susan B. Anthony for? You tell them, I lost a bet to Shannon Sharp.
Starting point is 01:03:02 That's what I won't. I want you to blurt that out. Right. It ain't about to. I can eat that. I don't turn up about no $5,000. I want you to take your ass to the bank and tell that cashier that you've got to get $10,000 in dimes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:18 And y'all don't know if y'all notice, but y'all, y'all don't know how heavy coins are when you're getting that amount of money. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Man, come on. Chuck, man, here's too. I don't want it. The bet was $200 in quarters. It wasn't a $200 in bills, so take your ass to the bank, so I ain't
Starting point is 01:03:37 taking it. I said, I don't know what that is. I shrewed the money out in my locker. I don't want that. Yeah. Quarters? Susan B. Anthony, I want Susan B. Anthony. I want them sack of your wheels. Hey, you know what? I tell you, well, give me a $1,000
Starting point is 01:03:53 sack of your wheels, them gold, them gold dollar court. That's what I want. Man, Chuck, man, you know I can't find. I don't know what you can find. Go on a scavenger hunt, Marco Polo. So that's the bad. This is, this is dominated. And Gus Ocho is not going to quiet down anytime soon.
Starting point is 01:04:17 No, this. I'm not going to quiet down. Absolutely not. It's not. Because you have to understand, as the headlines already hit today, right? You're going to give you pieces of the story, bit by bit and then this is in all honestly more people are going to come out for sure more people are going to come out this is just this is the cornerstone this is the top piece this is just to grab
Starting point is 01:04:39 your attention now we're going to give you a little bit little by little damn basketball season just started well they decide to wait on open what opening night when you're going to get the most attention oh cho open in night okay they think they slick all this is very strategic on their part as well. Yeah. I can't believe they in the mob. I'm still, hey, I'm still fascinated by that. Man, one mistake.
Starting point is 01:05:10 I don't lost a million dollars because you told me so-and-so was playing and he ain't played. Well, you need to give me my money back. Man, I had a good friend, my mind. We used to come out here. It used to come down to the Fremont,
Starting point is 01:05:25 which is the old strip. Everything is on the new strip now, but everything used to be benions and the golden nuggets, all that's Downstown on Fremont. Yeah. And to hear those stories talk, I think it was his uncle.
