Starting point is 00:04:12 Ocho, let's get right into it. The Minnesota Bikes can stop their two game losing streak by a score of 21-13 over the Indianapolis Cokes. The Cokes went with Joe Flacco. They bench Anthony Richardson. Sam Donnell was 28 or 34, 293 touchdowns. He had two interceptions and a fumble. Justin Jefferson continued his hot streak. Seven for a buck 37. Addison Jordan Addison made a great one-handed catch.
Starting point is 00:04:40 As they pull away and hold on to win 21 13 over in the lap of coach to keep them somewhat connected to the Detroit Lions. Coast produced their worst offensive performance of the year. Tonight the coast had six. Uh, the coach's office had six points, their lowest output of the year, zero red zone drive, the lowest output of the year, 13 first downs, lowest output of the year, 227 total yards, lowest output of the year. Ocho watching this game. What did you like about what Minnesota was able to do to get back into the wind column?
Starting point is 00:05:12 Listen to get back into the wind column. They need to give the game ball to Brian Flores. All defense, all defense played extremely well. All four quarters. They played all three phases of the game extremely well. Um, second Joe Flacco calls and turnovers, interceptions, and hell hell. extremely well all four quarters. They played all three phases of the game extremely well. Sac and Joe Flacco causing turnovers, interceptions, and hell, hell, the coach didn't give themselves the chance actually with the turnover that they had.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And it took the worst opportune time to have an inefficient offense against arguably one of the better teams in the NFC. And really the defense smothered. So Brian Flores, I would like to give him the credit for the win tonight, even though offensively they did what they needed to do as far as scoring points, but that defense was, was really, really good. Really, really good.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Yeah. You look, you know, one thing when you play the Vikings, their pressure defense, they're going to heat you up. Brian Flores is going to heat you up now. So you better, whatever, whatever you're doing, you better do it suddenly. You better do it in a hurry because you're not going to have a whole lot of time because he's coming with the pressure package. He believes in his back end. He believes they can hold up and he believes he can get to you before you get to them. And so that's the number one thing that I've noticed that the games that I've watched him play. And for the most part,
Starting point is 00:06:22 they've had a lot of games that's been televised. if you can't excuse me if you can't handle their pressure You can't deal with their defense now The problem is if Sam Donalds can do now when you play Detroit you turn the ball over three times. They're gonna blow you out easily I'm just telling you played the Lions and you turned that ball over early like they did. Oh Joe, that game be over. That game was over by the half time. Oh, definitely. Oh, definitely. That's that's that's probably 17 points. I see him. If you turn it over three, they score on two off that in the field goal.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Right. Because remember, they had what they have. Didn't they have a they got to pick six. So you see you see even any turn their office in possession, because the last thing you want to happen is a team score when you got the ball. It's hard enough, you know what I'm saying, Ocho? It's hard enough to keep them out of the end zone, especially these high powered offenses.
Starting point is 00:07:14 The Ravens, the Lions, even though Kansas City hadn't got on track, we know they have the potential to be explosive. You let them score when you got the ball and you catch hell stopping them when they have the ball. You're asking for problems. Yeah. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Now we're just saying it puts you behind the eight ball completely. And you got to do that much more offensively and damn, they got to play perfect football if you allow them to score on defense. Yeah, you're absolutely right. Um, Joe Flacco could never seem to get into a rhythm. He was 16 or 27, 179, one interception. Um, Joe Flacco could never seem to get into a rhythm. He was 16 or 27 179 one interception He was sacked three times The biggest issue was their inability to run the football because in order to slow some of that pressure down
Starting point is 00:07:54 You're gonna have to run the football to make them think about something other than your quarterback Right as long as they don't long as they're teeing off on your quarterback and they're not respecting your run It's gonna be a very difficult evening, especially on the road. And that crowd get to rock it is hard. You see, they got a couple of false start penalties, Ocho. And so you needed some, you needed some resemblance of a run game to try to slow that pressure front of the, uh, the Vikings down. Jonathan Taylor, 13 for 48.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Um, so they had 19 carries for 68 yards. That's not nearly a number. Vikings down Jonathan Taylor 13 for 48. So they had 19 carries for 68 yards. That's not nearly enough. Slide me over three yards of care. That's not nearly enough. Oh, Joe. That ain't going to cut it. No, it won't. It won't.
Starting point is 00:08:39 So the Vikings stopped the bleeding of their two game losing streak. They moved to six and two 2113 winners over the Indianapolis Colts, who falls to four and five. The Falcons defeats the Cowboys 2127 21. That injured his hamstring late in the third quarter. Cameras caught that on the sideline said we effing suck. Jerry confirms James Slater's report about Zeke. They're saying there are buyers at the Jerry says they are buyers at the deadline.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Before we talk about this game, I am glad Jerry confirmed what James Slater said because my partner would not have believed that Zeke missed meetings, that Zeke was late because now one thing I know Jane Slater, when she says something about the Cowboys, whatever money you got, you go put it on the bank and say that's absolutely gospel. Yes sir. If she says something about, if Jane Slater says anything about the Cowboys, take it to the bank. Yeah. Oh Joe, what's my favorite? What's my favorite saying? She hell which one you got to you got a lot of you never accept anything in a win.
Starting point is 00:09:53 You wouldn't have lost. Yes. Now you believe the previous eight years that Zeke Elliott has never missed a meeting has never been late to a meeting. Do you believe he has or he hasn't? In eight years, I'm sure he's been late to a meeting. Do you believe he has or he hasn't? In eight years, I'm sure he's been late or maybe missed. It happens to us all, but go ahead. And guess what happened? When that was going 12 and five and 13 and three, you see what Jared tolerated? You see what he accepted? Yes, sir. Now what happens when you
Starting point is 00:10:19 don't? He doing the exact same thing in a win. That's why you don't accept it. You see? Now you see what I'm talking about, Ocho. Now it crystallizes itself for you. You never accept. People accept that. And a lot of times we hear people say, oh, but they won.
Starting point is 00:10:36 No, you're trying to set a standard. You're trying to let everybody know this is what is accepted of you, not accepted. This is what is demanded of you. And because we won, I will not tolerate lateness. That's one thing I love about Mike. We didn't play that. If you had a weight, you made weight.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Even if you won the game, Mike was going to take however many pounds you was over, it cost you $50 and it was double the next time you was overweight. And that came out to check Whether you whether we won the game or we lost the game now back to this That injured his hamstring But they were looking terrible before that injured his hamstrings. Oh Joe. Yeah cowboys are bad They are they're bad team and it took that it took what game is different? Oh, Calvary. And it took Dak, it took, what game is this for O'Cavill? So it took eight weeks for Dak to realize what the hell I'm doing too.
Starting point is 00:11:30 They suck. Hey, I mean, he's frustrated, huh? He's frustrated. It doesn't seem like they can catch rhythm. They can't catch fire. They can't get anything. They suck. When you suck, that's what happens.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Yeah, yeah. Listen, I totally understand. But even though they suck, you know who gonna dominate the headlines? You know who gonna dominate sports talk? The Dallas Cowboys. Whether they're winning or losing, whether they suck or whether they don't,
Starting point is 00:11:56 they're still going to dominate tomorrow morning. They're gonna dominate Tuesday morning. They're gonna dominate Wednesday morning in the remainder of the week. I'm not sure if it can be fixed. I listened to Jerry Jones again, back in front of the camera, back in front of the mic after the game. What does he say?
Starting point is 00:12:12 He still believes in his team. He still believes in the players in the locker room. I mean, I don't think he has any choice, Ocho, but to say that considering that he's the owner and now he's talking about, they're going to be buyers at the trade deadline. So you were a buyer in pre-'s agency. Oh, buyers for who? Well, he's talking about making trades. Is he serious or he just talking? All I can do is go by what he said. This is what he said, Ocho. Right. I'm just trying to figure out.
Starting point is 00:12:43 So in the off season, when you can really shape your team, you bring our guys, offensive, defensive guys in that you can build. It's like, okay, this is what they do. This is what we have. You don't do that. Now you're, hello, what is their record? Four and five?
Starting point is 00:13:01 What's Cowboys record? Four and six, no? No, no, four and five, four and five, if I'm not mistaken. Because they're four and five. So now at four and five, you got to watch the there are three and five. Oh, that's it. Three and five.
Starting point is 00:13:17 You got the you got the commanders in a commanding position. What a commander. 72 73. That's 72. You got the Eagles starting to catch rhythm Right now you gonna talk about you gonna buy what? You buy a y'all about what going a if you get you get a head start on some great prices in Jamaica and Cancun Cabo, yeah. Yeah, yeah Cabo Hold on hold on hold on let me ask you a question now
Starting point is 00:13:41 This is only the first half of the season now We still haven't even gotten to the back half of the season. So are you basically saying that the Cowboys season is over? So what have you seen to make you think the Cowboys can do anything? Listen, listen, any given Sunday, you know that, right? What have you seen? I haven't seen anything. So why would you?
Starting point is 00:13:58 Anything, but I'm just asking you. Yes. Based on your expertise and your experience playing the game, just as I have. Yes. Do you think that season is done? give me the next four games for the Cowboys. And I want you to answer your own question because I don't want to answer it for you. All right. Talk to me. They got the Eagles next week. Okay. Eagles, Texans, Commanders. Of those three games, how many of the Cowboys winning?
Starting point is 00:14:30 Hey, can I tell you something? Yeah. I'm going to whisper it. Ain't looking too good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It ain't looking good for the home team. Damn. That's why I say it.
Starting point is 00:14:43 If you go ahead and start now, I mean, hold on. Let's see, it's November, so December, January, season be over. Man, I'm sure you can get a great deal on the Airbnb in Jamaica, Cancun, Turks and Caicos. Use Priceline, use Priceline. And tickets, because you booking them so far in advance, they don't tell them, man, man,
Starting point is 00:15:02 them tickets probably lower than whale poop. Lower than what? Whale poop. You know, whale poop at the bottom of the sea. You know what I'm saying, don't you? You can't get no lower than that. Yeah, man. I feel, I feel, I feel bad, man.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I feel bad for Cowboy fans. I feel bad for the Cowboy fans that invest in the team, invest in tickets, go to the games, that are sold a dream every season, every season. They're so, oh, Joe, why would I, why, hello, why would I change up my product if I can sell this to the Cowboys fan for a thousand dollars every week, every year? Why would I sell something different? I would be a fool.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Right. I come to. I come to the cowboy saying thousand dollars. I'll take it and I'm gonna do this every year for 1718 weeks for 28 years and you talk about change up my approach. I wish I might. Damn man. Hey, you don't feel bad for the players a little bit? No. But, hello, how we go from Dak saying he hadn't lost it. I remember last week, Dak stood up there and said,
Starting point is 00:16:14 he hadn't lost any confidence. He know nobody in that locker room had lost confidence. And he on the sidelines this week, talking about we suck. Yeah, that's based on circumstance, situational issues right now. When you was losing, did you lose confidence in Ocho Cingo? Did you say, okay, so what, I'm trying to figure that out.
Starting point is 00:16:35 No, no, no, you know, I ain't. So what about the situation? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I had to overcome those situations. I went through a lot of losing, you gotta understand, I went through a lot of losing that You got to understand I went through a lot of losing that. But I blocked that out because I still got to play for the stripes. Well you already knew you came into the season. You already came into the season knowing y'all gonna lose 10, 11 games.
Starting point is 00:16:53 So don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't be rude. Don't don't don't be rude. And there was always a shining light when a lot when a losing there was always a shining light over there no matter what you will get your catcher you go get your yard. Listen, it was always a shining light over there no matter what. I mean you go get your catcher, you go get your yard. Listen, it was always a shining light no matter what. But you already know Ocho, you know what I mean. I know what you mean. I mean, I'm not going to Popeyes expecting to get a burger.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Right. I know what I'm going to Popeyes for. A lot of times you go to Dairy Queen, I know I'm gonna get me a soft serve ice cream or I'm gonna get me a, uh, what that is a Peter Buster parfait. I'm gonna get me to dilly bar. You know, I'm saying I'm gonna get me a blizzard. I'm gonna get me some type of ice cream when I go to Dairy Queen. That's what I'm thinking. Right. I mean, the Cowboys, they already know, but Hey, you know, the NFL funny, man, you know, then it, the NFL funny man you know then it then it felt is
Starting point is 00:17:47 funny you never know what might happen maybe them boys might catch fire you know I'm just I'm trying to be optimistic I don't want the Cowboys fans to feel bad I don't want the players in that locker room to lose confidence in the season because if you start thinking Cabo and Jamaica and Bahamas and in Turks and then all that stuff now I mean it mean, it's going to look real bad. It could get ugly on. You still got to play football now. It's going to look worse than what it looks now.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Hey, at least they didn't give up 200 yards rushing. Yeah, they only gave up 100. See, see improvement. But that's that's her cousin only had five incompletions. He had three touchdowns. Hey, young boy, young, young, swagging, swagging, swagging cousins, swag surfing cousins. Oh, he's been dealing first.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Cousins been dealing. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Mooney had five for 88. Robinson, Bichon Robinson, at 759. Drake London got hurt. I mean, think about he was two was two for 27 and he got hurt. Yeah. What was the extent of his injury?
Starting point is 00:18:48 You think he's bad? I don't know. He didn't come back in the game, I don't think. Did he come back in the game? I mean. I saw CD, CD Lamb, CD Lamb had an AC sprain on his shoulder. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Yep. Your CD came back in the game, though, CD play. OK, yeah, you're going to be straight. Yeah. Damn. But now the Cowboys, like I said, I just. Also, on Friday, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said running back by committee approach was
Starting point is 00:19:27 definitely not the preferred method, but we feel that's the best way to utilize the guys we got. See, that was a solo shot at Jerry. I would prefer one running back, but Jerry wanted to do it by committee. So I just got to try to make, you know, these are the ingredients that he gave me. So he gave me. Cow poop, chicken poop and hog poop. So this is the soup that I got to make. It's soup.
Starting point is 00:19:58 That's all he said. That's what I did. I don't know what you took from that, but that's what I took from that. Yeah. I mean, I understand underlining, underlining context of what they, what they mean. But hey, listen, there was somebody, there was somebody that was there and that was available
Starting point is 00:20:14 that I think that could have made a difference. He could have helped. But right now he's with the Ravens having another historic season. That's unfortunate. Over a thousand yards. In week nine. Oh, but we could have. He's the first guy since Jim Brown in 63 Ocho deleted Rush yards, carries, touchdowns, yards for carry.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Yeah, but we couldn't afford him. What are we doing? Hey there, it's Michael Lewis, author of Going Infinite, Moneyball, The Blind Side, and Liar's Poker. On every season of my podcast Against theball, The Blind Side, and Liar's Poker. On every season of my podcast Against the Rules, I take a broad look at various characters in American life. The referee, the coach, the expert. My next season is all about fans and what the rise of sports betting is doing to them, to the teams, and even to my family.
Starting point is 00:21:04 I'm heading to Las Vegas and New Jersey and beyond to understand America's newest form of legalized gambling. Listen to Against the Rules on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Jerry says there are buyers at the deadline. What you buying? Who gonna buy? What are you selling? No, they are buyers. They're looking to acquire. They're not selling off. They're looking to acquire. We're going to purchase something. Okay. Well, what do you think? Now, if you look, if you're thinking about a scenario, a Cowboys fan, if you're in the chat and Jerry Jones said there are buyers, what position are we thinking about trading for or acquiring? Where do they need help most?
Starting point is 00:21:57 Well, they can't do that. They need a left tackle because he gets two pills of the game. Uh, they need another receiver to go opposite of CD. They need a running back. Uh, probably needs some D lineman linebacker corner. Oh damn the whole new team. This ain't this ain't no video game. You're acting like this, uh, this man ultimate team. They're holding a team. This ain't no video game. You're acting like this is Madden Ultimate team. They're three and five. So if you're three and five, you need a lot of ish.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Yeah, but there's only so much you can do. Only so much you can do, especially in season. You asked me what they needed. I just told you what they needed. I ain't saying they gonna get it. I mean, within reason. Well, they gonna get nothing. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Well, you're not gonna get nothing that gonna change the season, I know that. OK, OK. Well, you're not going to get nothing. I'm going to change the season. I know that. No, it is not. James later tweeted, Ezekiel Elliott is a healthy scratch today for the first of his career. According to a number of sources, Elliott has been distracted all season. Aside from his habitual tardiness, he's missed three team meetings with Friday's meeting
Starting point is 00:23:07 The final straw both parties decided it was best. He didn't make the trip to Atlanta Dalvin cook Rico Doudell will be expected to carry the load this afternoon They're like nah bro, we're not fit to take you down to the eight it didn't have you at magic They're like, nah bro, we're not going to take you down to the eight. It didn't have you at magic. Right. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no This tells me that he did this when they were winning. But see, when you accept things in a win. Now what's the difference, Ocho? Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Yes, sir. If they're winning and he's still showing up late and he's still missing meetings, do you think he's a healthy scratch today? Yes or no? No, sir. No, sir. Because when you win it like this and you're an intricate part of the offense, No sir.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Because when you win it like this and you're an intricate part of the offense, your leashes are a little bit longer. Now when you lose it and everything is magnified, you lose it and everything is magnified and then you're not that centerpiece or center stone to what makes that offense go. Oh yeah, you expendable. We can afford to leave you home. We can afford to leave you home. We'll take that chance.
Starting point is 00:24:32 So you mean centerpiece and cornerstone? That's what I said, ain't it? You said centerstone. You said centerstone. That's an engagement ring, centerstone. Right, right, right. You see where I'm mad at? Man, let's move this conversation around.
Starting point is 00:24:48 That's bad, that's a bulljack earlier today. Hold on, we tweeted you a bit of shit to the show, that's a bulljack. I know, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you see what I'm mad at, man. You know. But damn. Who thinks, ain't nobody said they're losing because of Z.
Starting point is 00:25:07 But why would you why would you give them a reason to deactivate you? Right, right. That's my point. See, y'all miss it. See, a lot of times fans miss the entire point. Well, these not the reason they lose it. Is he the reason they win it? In the case, why would you if you knew they're having first of all, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yes, sir. The first normally the first people to go when jobs are having cutbacks is the people that are routinely late. It's easy to get rid of those guys. See, it's easy to deactivate a guy that's being late and not showing up for meetings. That's easy to do. I got to make your job hard.
Starting point is 00:25:48 That's what the coach used to tell me, he said, son, look here, don't cut yourself. Let us do that. Right. Know what you're supposed to do. Do it to the best of your ability and let the chips fall where they may. How many more years do you think he got in this league
Starting point is 00:26:04 with these kinds of numbers? Why would you do? Why would you do that? Now think about what's being reported. Now everybody know every why would you do that? Oh Joe. Yeah. I'm something of this magnitude that's going to be able to get out.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Now everybody's seeing your numbers go here, here, here, and here, and here, and here. You're approaching 30, you're averaging three yards of carry, and you're late and you're tardy. What value is that to any team in the NFL, Ocho? You're about to be 30, you're averaging three yards of carry, and you're late and you miss meetings.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Where is the value? Damn, man. Hey, he got to go talk with us, he can't talk to Mike. He can't talk to Jerry. Cause you know, Jerry got to sign off on that, so. What is he talking about? Shoot, shoot.
Starting point is 00:27:04 The report said he's been distracted all year. Distracted by what? What? That's what I would give it to ask you. Distracted by what? You know, especially during football season, unless his family issues or something going on at home, we, you know, we don't know his personal issues of what it might be. But to be late, you know, two or three times,
Starting point is 00:27:26 to miss a Friday meeting, yeah, something's going on. What that may be, I don't know. I have no idea, Ojo. I have no zero zilch idea. He gotta fix it though. That's him. You gotta fix it. Second half of the season, you gotta be on time
Starting point is 00:27:44 and do everything you can to contribute. The try to try and turn this thing around. Try. But see, that's what that's why it's so hard to turn your season around when you lose it. Right. Because you have so like this type of attitude, this type of behavior. Right. Right. Right. And when you don't have a standard, you don't have an ethos, you don't have a code. You don't have a foundation something that everybody
Starting point is 00:28:10 lives by It's hard yeah, it's hard it's hard because Pretty soon. Oh Joe people start to splinter and everybody start doing their own things But then instead of one or two being late, now you got three or four. Now you got four or five. Now you got five or six. And you got guys dragging ass here and there. That's why you need veteran leadership.
Starting point is 00:28:38 That's why you need to have a standard in which players are. Forced to adhere to. Right. And when they don't, they forced to adhere to. Right. And when they don't, they have to be consequences. See, there have to be rules. There have to be rules that we have to abide by. There's a reason why we have speed limit. There's a reason why we have traffic.
Starting point is 00:28:57 There's a reason why we have laws, because if we didn't, we'd have lawlessness. Right. Same thing with football players, even grown men. They should know better. Given the choice to do right or wrong, and there's no one there to hold you accountable for the wrong more times than not, more people will do wrong. And I'm not talking about just the most egregious of offenses.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Talk about whatever late from meetings, missing meetings, speeding, littering, whatever the case may be. If there's no one there to hold you accountable for the wrong, more times than not, people will choose to do wrong. Yeah, if you can get away with it, yeah. That's discipline.
Starting point is 00:29:41 See, that's what discipline. See, discipline requires you to do your best when no one's watching. Watching. I like that. Hey, that's what discipline. See, discipline requires you to do your best when no one's watching. Watching. I like that. Hey, that's a good one right there. That's why the off season is so important. When there's no cameras around, when there's no other, it's just you and the track is you
Starting point is 00:29:59 in the weight room is you and the dinner table. That's it. Hold on now. Hold on, hold on. That's the discipline. You got to run that back. Discipline requires you, no. Discipline requires you to do your best when no one else is watching.
Starting point is 00:30:14 That's it, I need that. I gotta use that with my kids. Oh, that's a good one right there. Think about it. When your boss is around and standing over your, when they know the boss coming, they do, they're right. Hey, boy, you're on point. You are on point. You working. You working. You working because I used to do it in high school. When the teacher wasn't looking, I would goofing off. I knew
Starting point is 00:30:37 she was paying attention. Shoot, boy. They ain't play that ain't play that shit at Harvard. The Ravens beat the Broncos. The Ravens beat the Broncos. Dang. Oh, the Ravens beat the who? Broncos. I ain't hear you. Oh, the Ravens. Matter of fact, if your team lost today, you shouldn't say foot or ball.
Starting point is 00:30:55 My team won today. The Ravens. The Ravens by team two. Oh, you forgot about that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's what we're not going to do. That's not, that's what we
Starting point is 00:31:05 not going to do. That's what we not going to do. You are a Denver Broncos. If your team lost today, I don't want you to say foot or ball. You're not going to do this to me. You're not going to do this to me. Time out. That's the Super Bowl-winning Albert. You're not going to do that, don't you? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now you not gonna do that.
Starting point is 00:31:27 How many years did you play in Denver? Two and one of Super Bowl. How many years did you play in Denver? I played 12 years in Denver. You played 12 in Denver. I played two in Baltimore. How many you played in Baltimore? Two.
Starting point is 00:31:42 You know what? Your main relationship is the Broncos. Don't you? No, no, no. Let me finish. Your main relationship with the Broncos. The goddamn Ravens was your side chick. She don't even count. You are a Bronco. If your team lost today, I don't want you to say football. My team won today. My team won today. Child, today? What is this? This ain't no prop. This is an actual helmet. And what is this? Did you just not hear me? You spent two years there, man. You put one foot in. You remember Shannon Sharp playing for the Ravens. Does anybody remember Shannon Sharp in that purple and black? The longevity of your career was in Denver
Starting point is 00:32:26 and y'all got Molly walked. What, what, what, what y'all got Molly walk? That's the difference between you and I. See you count time, I make time count. I was there two years, that's the only difference between you and I, Ocho. Hold on, hey you think I'm gonna steal that bitch, nevermind, that was a good one, nevermind.
Starting point is 00:32:44 You countin' time, I'm making time count. That's it, I was there two years. You got me a Super Bowl. I'm making time. Let me go and put you back, hey, Ocho. Let me go and put you back up. Hey, listen, you spent 12 years as a Bronco. Hey, stop, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:33:04 You are a Bronco. I told you, your main relationship was the Broncos. Now your side chick, it was the Ravens. You lost the day again. I love them. You love who? Sometimes side chicks get treated better than home. Nah.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Nah, look at him. Sit up in your chair. Let's talk about the Broncos today. No, we're gonna talk about Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson completed 16 of 19 pass attempts for 280 yards, three touchdowns, and had a perfect quarterback rating, 158.3. Lamar now has four career games with a perfect quarterback rating 158.3 Lamar had now has four career games with a perfect quarterback
Starting point is 00:33:47 rating with a minimum of 10 passes. He ties the NFL record held by Ben Roethlisberger who also has four such games. Lamar now has 20 passing touchdowns this season after connecting with Zay Flowers twice, Patrick Card once, Flowers and Jackson's Flowers with Jackson's favorite target on Sunday, five receptions, a buck 27. In winning six of their past seven games, the Ravens have beaten three teams with a winning record. The Bills, the Commanders, and the Broncos by a combined score of 106 to 43. But this is the same Baltimore team that lost the two last place.
Starting point is 00:34:25 They lost to the Browns and they lost to the Ravens. It comes down to the most criticized Ravens defense. When Baltimore host teams to 25 or fewer points, the Ravens are foreign. Oh, oh, Joe, that's crazy, right? They lost to the Ravens and the Browns. They lost to the Raiders and the Browns. I'm sorry. They lost to the Raiders and the Browns. You know, it's funny. You see why I was a little optimistic about maybe the Cowboys being able to pull it off,
Starting point is 00:34:54 you know, and changing their season around is because on any given Sunday, you never know what's going to happen. You never know what's going to happen. Now as dominant as the Ravens are, if you're a bet, if you're a bet man, if he's a gambling man, when they paid the Raiders, you putting all your money on the Ravens. When they played the Browns, you putting all your money on the Browns. But I don't understand why that happens. Maybe playing down to the competition, maybe to play calling. Like you said, when they play the Browns, they only gave God damn Derrick Henry the ball 11 times. How many, how many, how many, how many rushes Derek Henry had today? 23. For two, with two touchdowns and a buckle six. Okay, see, see, maybe, maybe that is a formula. 34, they almost had double the amount of rush attempts as pass attempts. Last week it was the flip side. Lamar Jackson threw the ball 19 times today. They ran it 34 times. That's your recipe.
Starting point is 00:35:48 That's crazy, man. And because Lamar doesn't need to throw the ball 30 plus times, because he's going to be so efficient because the gap that's going to be in the defense, because you can't stop D. Henry with a light box. So he's throwing against man coverage and when his own coverage, they so out of place because they didn't take it up all steps trying to get down when he fakes the ball into a D Henry belly.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Yep. Everybody had a position. Now you out of position, but he's dealing with the ball. He's playing unbelievable. Uh, right now the MVP is Lamar is D. Henry is Jerry golf. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:27 Any anybody, anybody, anybody else in that race that you would throw a name in the box? No. Okay. Not for me. Not for me. I mean, listen, a blind man can see it. I'm not going to mention a blind man name, but a blind man can see there's a
Starting point is 00:36:41 chance that, that Lamar Jackson went his third MVP. Yes. There's a chance that he could win his third MVP. And, man, my God, young boy, I know I know young boy. Why? They be watching, too. I know Lamar probably right now. But he going to see this, boy. You the real deal, boy. Pumping those finest, boy.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I salute you. This is coming from a bangle. Come from a bangle. But I know one thing, you know. You know who they play Thursday night? Who they play? Yeah, okay. I bet they put foot senior. Yeah, you know who they play. I bet they put foot senior.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I bet it's gonna be belt the ass. I bet they put foot senior. I think it's gonna be belt the ass. And that's respectfully to all my Raven fans. I love you. You know how I feel about you. And Baltimore. I got the Raven Raven fans. I love you. You know how I feel about you. And Baltimore. I got the Ravens.
Starting point is 00:37:27 You won't bet. Not whatever. Make a lot of yourself. I don't do like that. I don't do like that. Do be like do be like that. I ain't gonna take your money. Yeah, I won't take my money. And listen, we just talked about what happened when they played the Raiders.
Starting point is 00:37:41 We just talked about what happened when they played the Browns. So you think they you think you think the bangles for the after the day's game against the Raiders, you think we gonna talk about, talk about, I remember what they did last time they was in Cincinnati dropped a 41 piece on you. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Stay with me now. Did you see Joe burrow today? I don't mean to jump the gun and get off.
Starting point is 00:38:02 How many yards did you throw for against the Raiders last time? No, we went to Ravens last time? No, what you talking about last time? We've been proved since then. No, you haven't. He's been proven. You're just playing a bad team. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Remember how y'all went to Philly? Philly beat y'all 34-17. Okay, all right. All right, mark my words. He threw for 392. He threw for 392 against the Ravens. How many touchdowns? And five TDs.
Starting point is 00:38:28 And LJ got it. He can't beat Lamar. He got one finger against Lamar. All right. I know that. I know what the record is. I know it. But listen. Lamar wiping his feet. Do what Lamar do to everybody in the AFC North.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we'll see though. We'll see Thursday. What puts him on it? Huh? Now he can't hear. Make it all right. Make it all right.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Make it light on yourself then. Make it light on yourself. What you want to do? You call your price. Better ban. Who? I'm Bayer and I ain't talking and I ain't talking about family or Graham in the Southern. What you want to do?
Starting point is 00:39:17 What you want to do? I want to Bayer. All right. Bet. Bet it. Matter of fact, you know what? Since you're talking and I got 10 right here, make it 2000. I bet it. Matter of fact, you know what? Since you're talking and I got 10 right here, make it 2000. Bet it. Now, now what? What you want to do? Let's go. Hey, Joe, I told you what Joe Burrow said the last time he was in front
Starting point is 00:39:38 of the media, we're going to win seven of the last nine. And starting at number one, but that next nine was the day. And the next win is gonna be Thursday. Hey happening Alright, and that anybody in the chat that got something to say you better to put your side bed down Y'all talking about man. So talk about man who they play it too good. They play it too good. Yeah. Yeah They play real good and no David listen Lamar Jackson The Ravens brother Todd Monkin, they are playing phenomenal football.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Derrick Henry, phenomenal. Zay Flowers, boy, I see you, boy. I see you. But Thursday, no suck. Thursday, no suck. It's over. It's over for you. I appreciate that easy money though.
Starting point is 00:40:29 The Lions solidified their NFC North stranglehold, beating the Packers 24-14 on a rainy, windy, gust of winds up to 43 miles an hour. The Lions improved to 71, the best in the NFC North and the second-best record overall in the NFL if not the Lions first outdoor game of the season Jared golf didn't let the downpour rain affect his accuracy he completed 18 of 22 passes 145 yards at a touchdown. David Montgomery, Jameer Gibbs combined for 28 rushes, 138 yards, Gibbs had a rushing touchdown.
Starting point is 00:41:10 Lion's safety, Brian Branch was ejected after helmet to helmet hit. Brady criticized the call. Brady criticized the call, which could get him in trouble with the league. League, remember, he's not allowed to criticize officials. Since he's in the only criticize the officials, he criticized the call in general. So who made the call?
Starting point is 00:41:33 There should have been a warning. Who made the call? The officials made the call, but you can speak about the call and not agree with it. There should have been a warning. They warned him. Get off the field. Get off the field before we throw another flag. Was that a warning? Now, look, if it's
Starting point is 00:42:02 look, Tom is in the moment, Ocho, is's hard, he's not thinking, you know what, I'm a minority owning the Raiders. He's looking at the call like, man, I don't agree with the call. Right, right. But I think that's something, especially with a player like Tom that has as much experience playing the game,
Starting point is 00:42:21 here in his point of view, being with Booth now, they should have a, he should have a longer leash and they should be a little bit more lean with him when it comes to Explain the things that whether he agrees with and things that he doesn't in that case. I don't agree with it I don't I think Brian maybe he could have he could have pulled up a little bit But you have to be careful trying to get players to do things that aren't natural At the natural speed of the game because you end up hurting yourself. You agree with them throwing them out? No. What is that? That's Titus. Let me see. Titus. Ocho, why are you calling my name? Everybody will need to be knowing my name.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Tight ass. Yeah, that's the hard part about it because Ocho, Brady has said, don't blame the defender, blame the quarterback. The same thing we saw in Carolina, David Carr threw that ambulance ball to Chris Olavi. What kind of ball was it? Ambulance. through that ambulance ball to crystal lobby. And I got to catch it. Ambulance. Because his his his instinct, Ocho, is to catch it.
Starting point is 00:43:35 That's what receivers do. They catch the ball. Yeah. What you doing? And. But the Lions. Give me Jerry Goff, Jerry Goff has lions, give me Jerry golf. Jerry golf has like some ungodly staff. He damn near has as many touchdowns and incompletions over his last four games. Give me his last four games that sad. I mean, it's like something, something ungodly.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Oh Joe, just like, are you serious? Your love had a pig, which was, it would turn into a big six. Hey, he saw, he saw, um, he tried to do a screen. Yeah. He saw the running back was right there, but the goddamn was that was that was Joseph. That was Joseph. Yeah. Joseph's a corner.
Starting point is 00:44:20 I think he couldn't even see him. No, he was behind the lineman. And so, uh, that's the second time Jordan Love did that, you know, panic, panicking and letting it go and throwing it's not throwing the interception, but throwing a pick six at that. Yeah. Damn, yeah, but but Detroit look good, Ocho. They they they they they can run it. They can throw it. Damn. Yeah, but Detroit look good, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:44:45 They can run it. They can throw it. You know, Armand St. Brown, they got Laporta, they got Raymond, they got Patrick, they got Gibbs and Montgomery in the run game. They're a really good team. I still believe they're going to try to find a defensive player. You keep hearing them talking about Zedaria Smith, uh, the D lineman in Cleveland. Um, uh, people talk about miles.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Garret. I don't think Cleveland letting miles Garret go. And I don't know if they want to play that kind of price knowing they got a nudges and coming back next year. Um, cross, uh, Max cross, uh, cause Crosby. I like, I look, I think he would be perfect in Detroit, but you hear Davis Saying he's not the owner said he's not gonna get he's not gonna you know trade it
Starting point is 00:45:36 But they all want to say all kind of things. I want to say all kind of things now for the right Davis His name excuse me mark Davis Honestly all kind of things and for the right price and the right Davis is his name. Excuse me. Mark Davis. Yeah. The owners say all kinds of things that for the right price and the right compensation, they come up, come up, come up off of anything and anyone, especially why make him suffer. Why make him suffer? Even though I think the identity of the Raiders defense is Matt Crosby, don't make the man suffer. You know, you don't have a chance this season, allow him to go to a contender, allow him to win and see what he can make of himself over there in Detroit. Probably challenge for a championship. Yeah, I think it would be dope. Hell, same thing for goddamn Miles. Hey there, it's Michael Lewis, author of Going Infinite, Moneyball, The Blind Side,
Starting point is 00:46:21 and Liar's Poker. On every season of my podcast, Against the Rules, I take a broad look at various characters in American life. The referee, the coach, the expert. My next season's all about fans and what the rise of sports betting is doing to them, to the teams, and even to my family. I'm heading to Las Vegas and New Jersey and beyond to understand America's newest form of legalized gambling.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Listen to Against the Rules on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Jerry golf numbers Arizona. He was 18 or 23, 199, 78% completion. Monday night against Seattle. He was 18 of 18, 292, 100% completion. Against the Cowboys. He was 18 or 25, 315, 72 complete. 72% completion.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Three touchdowns against Minnesota. He was 22 or 25, 88% completion. Two touchdowns against Minnesota. He was 22 or 25 88 percent completion to touchdown Against Tennessee. He was 12 or 15 Three touchdowns and today in that weather he was 18 or 22 145 and one touchdown in the rain in the rain And then the rain that's good work and they had a nerd to get rid of felt he was done Send him out to the pastures He do nothing but he rose like on the third day
Starting point is 00:48:00 Like you know who? Yeah, I mean it's look I still think that that Detroit is in play here for one of these big time. I'm not gonna be surprised if we come breaking news. They trade for a big name defensive player. Right. Oh, the deadline, deadline Tuesday. Yeah, Tuesday, November 5.
Starting point is 00:48:22 You hear talks about Kansas City in play for Marshall, Marshall and Latimore. Oh my God. That's not fair. Now they, they, they cheat in that. They cheat. You see the difference. They say they go in for it. When the team say they're all in and they're trying to do, and you see the steps
Starting point is 00:48:41 that they take versus people they talk about. That's all in. OK, it's bags and Andy Reid have an opportunity to add Marshawn Latimore, who is great at man to man, superior at man to man, not playing zone. And Spagg can do something else he wants to do because, you know, Latimore can lock down one side of the field by himself. And they got they already got a cornerback that was a, uh, he was a
Starting point is 00:49:06 second year. He was an all pro last year. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, that'd be a great addition. That'd be a great addition to the team, boy. God damn. Yeah, it's, uh, yeah, Detroit, Detroit's rolling around, rolling along 71. Um, But the charts rolling around, rolling along 71. They did a number on Green Bay, Green Bay six and three, Minnesota six and two. So that division. Chicago's what 500 now? Yeah, five and four, five and four. Damn.
Starting point is 00:49:35 That's crazy. Chicago's four and four, but if I'm going to do that, okay. Oh, they could have been five and four if Stevenson had to been dancing around and then he get mad because he got benched. And then what they want to show up for practice or you walk down to practice. What did he do in practice? You were hot brown. Okay, we come to, we're going to talk about that later.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Eagle beat the Jags 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, 28, for practice or you walk down to practice. What did he do in practice? You are brown. OK, we're coming to we're going to talk about that later. He beat the Jags 28, 23, safe, quiet, hit a backwards hurdle. Devontae Smith, one handed touchdown grab. Eagles almost let this one slip away. The failed to they failed to convert the brother, the brotherly shove. Two point conversion. They turned the ball over on fourth and one. Jake Elliott missed a 57 yard field goal attempt
Starting point is 00:50:26 to give the Jaguars the last chance to beat them. But, Nicoby Dean, interception in the end zone, saved the game. Yeah. Ocho, did you watch this game, Ocho? You watched a lot of this game? Yeah, I watched first of it because I had multiple games going on at once.
Starting point is 00:50:41 So my head was on swivel, left to right, left to right, left to right, like I was watching a goddamn tennis match. but I was able to watch most of it. I saw some of the Saquon plays. I saw Devontae Smith. Do one hander. He did. Other than that, I remember tweeting that the Eagles look good.
Starting point is 00:51:00 I tweeted is not long ago. I said the Eagles look so good that the chance they'll probably be playing for a Super Bowl championship. And everybody tweeted me back, hell no, we not, not with Nick Sarriani as a coach. And I simply said, even with the inconsistency at the head coaching position that people are complaining about, the offense is so good that I think they can overcome any coaching roles I think they can overcome any coaching walls as long as they play
Starting point is 00:51:30 defense I think they'll be fine but nobody nobody nobody agrees with me nobody does cuz uh they don't look as good as the Lions the Lions look great yeah and here's the problem they're probably gonna have to manage AJ with They don't look as good as the Lions. The Lions look great. Yeah. And here's the problem. They're probably gonna have to manage AJ with this hamstring. Now they didn't release the injury of AJ
Starting point is 00:51:52 cause he left his game, Ocho. So it's gonna be interesting to see how this thing plays out because they're gonna have to manage him. I don't believe they can go all the way without a healthy AJ Brown. Wait, he went out. He just came back from hamstring, didn't he?
Starting point is 00:52:07 Yeah, I don't know. Sirianni did not say after the game what the injury was, but he left and didn't return. So it's going to be interesting to see moving forward. Right. Because I don't think they can go to where they trying to get to without him. Oh, and I'm sick of this shit, man. But that move Saquon hit on for 14 yards, Ocho. He hopped over the dudes backwards. Backwards.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Hold on, he spun, he made somebody miss. Did a spin in the middle of the spin because he was already behind. He knew he knew the guy was going to go low and jumped over him. A reverse. What's it called? A reverse what? A reverse hurdle. There it is. Brad had a reverse hurdle. Chat, y'all don't understand reverse hurdle. That's like a wrestling move. You know, they sling somebody into the turnbuckle and they hop over, jump over backwards. Look, that's that's a good move that you're going to see for him to be able to do that.
Starting point is 00:53:19 But I'm confused. There was a play late in the ballgame where they're trying to run out. He hurdles the guy and slides down. I don't know if you saw it. And the reporters didn't ask him about it. They didn't ask him about it. And I don't think they asked Sirianni about it. And I'm trying to figure out what was going through his mind.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Did he think they were out of timeouts? Did he think he had the first down? I'm confused why he would slide in that situation instead of getting the first down. So I was confused. I think he miscalculated. It'd be very interesting to hear what his thought process was and why he did that. Yep. Somebody was probably in his ear. Somebody was probably in his ear and told him to do that. He, they, he just didn't realize the situation and the fact that he did need the first
Starting point is 00:54:01 down. I call that call. You know what I call it. I call that over coaching. Yeah, over coaching. You had your player thinking more than they should instead of just playing the goddamn game and probably based on a situation and having a situation awareness in that moment, you'll know to get the first down and then slide. I agree. I was surprised that. That he did it because I was like, what was saying? Say, Juan, you got to get the first down in that situation. You had to have miscalculated something, something because they know where he's
Starting point is 00:54:35 sliding like that because he slid like he thought he had the first down. Right. And so, or he didn't think they had any more timeouts, but they had two timeouts and they had the two minute warning. So I was I was just totally confused by what he did in that play. But the play that he had was was was incredible. The that caught the pass spin hop backwards. I don't even know. Can you do that in Madden? No, no, you will. I bet they add it. I bet they add it.
Starting point is 00:55:06 You think so? I mean, they they probably they probably can. That matter of fact, it should be a speak a feature specifically for him because I mean, a lot of people hurdle a lot of people hurdle. So they might as well add it is a reverse hurdle. I like it. That's dope. That's dope. The Panthers. I still don't understand. What did you understand?
Starting point is 00:55:31 The Giants, man, and just like, just like how do you watch Saquon week in and week out and say, you know what, I think it's best we part ways with this because you don't value the position. I don't get it, but OK, go ahead. The Panthers beat the Saints 2322. Chris Olavi stretch it off the field at the scary hit. Olavi's brother was active on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Bro, just call. He's up and active. Bro, just call. He's up and active. Uh, one follower said, might be time to have that talk. Might be time to have that. Is it worth it? Talk. Joshua Lave, who's the brother of Chris, it ain't worth it in Nola. I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Hey, everybody upset it at Derek Carboy. Everybody's upset at Derek Carboy. I saw Cam Jordan, you know, walking away. He didn't even go in the locker room. I think the players upset. I think the players are fed up with his play. Obviously playing a game against the Carolina Panthers. And when you look at it on your schedule, based on the way they played this year,
Starting point is 00:56:46 that's the game you should win. Yeah, that's bad. That's the game you should win. And due to the quarterback play and inconsistency at the quarterback position today, they weren't able to pull it off. On that fourth down, I think it was what was it, fourth and two?
Starting point is 00:57:02 Yeah. Fourth and four, whatever it might've been. You took my dad card, he throw them go ball. Why do you throw a go? What do we do? What do we, what do we? Bro, he make it seem like he been lighting it up all day. He was 18 to 31.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Why, why? Why is that your first choice, especially in that scenario? Why do you throw the ball that has the- The least has the least the least percent least percentage exactly that's not making any sense at least give your team a chance at least at least give him a chance I don't understand what he was thinking in that situation and I know listen that I knew the players hot I knew the players are hot yeah you just lost to the worst team
Starting point is 00:57:43 you just lost to the worst team but You just lost to the worst team. But a Saints. I don't know if y'all noticed this, but y'all lost seven straight. So are we sure the Panthers are the worst team in NFL? And it's not the Saints. I know they got talent. You look at Camara and you look at a live a you look at Cam Jordan, you look at Marsha Latimore, and DeMario Davis,
Starting point is 00:58:05 and the Honey Badger. I know, I can throw out some names for you. Hold on, hold on. Think about how to, think about the first two weeks of the season. You're averaging 40 plus points a game. Man, I thought the Saints was finna run the table, boy. I thought it was finna run the table.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Derek Carr looked good. Kamara looked good. The offense looked good. You know, I just, I donna run the table. Derrick Carr looked good. Kamara looked good. The offense looked good. You know, I just, I don't know what happened. I don't know what it was. Michael Thomas goes in on Derrick Carr being butt. They fired all them coaches trying to cover his flaws up and still he doing the same ish.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Dude tried to lie and say I was jealous of them making Chris Olave wide receiver number one whole time He can't even get him a decent ball. He did his butt whip This year, buddy went first team all-pro that year his buddy went first team all-pro in 2022 He needed a hundred and eighty target just to catch a hundred passes. Mm-hmm. He is but oh my granny the passes. He is but on my granny. Do scary and petty. He just throws the ball. Get him to F out of here.
Starting point is 00:59:10 He's so but damn man. Okay. Derek, car for you. I've been told y'all ish saying St. Flair's pros game reaction show. They've officially given up on the season. Cam Jordan, we just lost to the Panthers. I love y'all New Orleans, truly had higher expectations
Starting point is 00:59:32 and the best of hopes for us. Y'all deserve it. Kaylin Sanders said, fans keep saying lose so we get the number one pick. Hell, throw me in the quarterback ish. Let's have something fun to watch. He then tweeted, mofo cheekbones. Shake him.
Starting point is 00:59:54 Hey, buddy, hot. You all deserve better. My only goal is to finish above 500 at this point. Canales was mom, saying Bryce Young should be the starter next week. Man. Who will be the starter, can Alice or you go back to Andy Dalton? So he playing games again? Yes.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Why even play game? You know what? All right. All right. Bryce Young was your quarterback today. Your team won the game. Why not? Just why?
Starting point is 01:00:30 Why? Why? Bryce played really well. Look forward to him to get back in there and build on this. Hopefully gives them some confidence. Yeah. Now we'll see how it shakes. Let's not even talk about them no more.
Starting point is 01:00:44 The Bengals beat the Raiders 41-24. Nah, we'll see how it shakes. Let's not even talk about them no more, Ocho. The Bengals beat the Raiders 41-24. Joey B gets the win, only six more to fulfill the Ocho promise of seven wins and nine games. Rookie Jermaine Burton was a healthy scratch after missing walkthrough on Saturday. Joe Burrow just did have little to do, they have to do the little things right.
Starting point is 01:01:04 Mike Hilton, you're a grown man. Nobody's gonna baby you anymore. What do you think, Ocho? The bank was one. Joe Burrow, how many touchdowns did Joe Burrow through the day on? Five. Uh, five. He, uh, he was 27 of 39, 251, five touchdown in the pick.
Starting point is 01:01:32 That guy, Oh Joe, that guy studied the hell out some film. That's like the second or third time he don't pick the jailbreak screen. Jack Jones did that last year too. He did. Did it last year too. Listen, I tweeted, I tweeted it, I tweeted it and some of the people complained, well if, I think it was maybe Yoshi,
Starting point is 01:01:49 if he said, if Yoshi had made the block, listen, Jack is reacting as soon as the ball snaps based on facial recognition and he already knows it's coming. And you see, once he sees Chase Bubble, he gone. He gone, he gone right to it. He gone, he know what's it. He know what's coming. Yeah, you really can't even get to the block
Starting point is 01:02:07 or make an attempt to block him because you already know what's going on. And sometimes that's why you have that guy Yoshi that's normally gonna block, you let him go up the rail because the guy's gonna react like Jack Jones do and then you get him up the rail. Yes sir.
Starting point is 01:02:20 So that's a good one, that's a good one, that's a good. You can get him, but if you throw that ball ball if he get a reaction like that, right? Oh that ball to chase is going the other way if you can get away Yeah, hey, but again on your own Jermaine Burton being late obviously doing doing the same thing that that did I haven't had the chance to talk to young bull. I think TJ who's from Zada is a mentor of his If he trains with him. And I think TJ gotta talk to him. TJ gotta get in his ear.
Starting point is 01:02:48 They're tolerated. They're tolerated until they can replace you. Now Jermaine is, Burton is a special talent. He has a lot of talent. He can help this offense in a tremendous way, especially with his speed and being able to stress defenses. So I would like for him to do whatever he needs to do.
Starting point is 01:03:06 I'm not sure. I'll probably reach out to him. You gotta do little things, man. Money, if you do little things right, you know, it'll pay off for you. It'll pay off for you, so I wanna see if- The old Bengals would have tolerated this behavior, but the new Bengals aren't.
Starting point is 01:03:21 I love what Joe Burrow said. I love what Mike Hilton said. Bro, ain't nobody babysitting your ass. You grown ass man. Right, right, right, right. Right. Get here. Be professional. Show up on time. Do your job. Do what you're supposed to do. And let's go try to win football games. Right. You know what he should do? I mean, he was sitting on the bench. Did you see out? Look, I don't know what we're saying, but he was sitting on the bench. Did you see out? Look, I don't know what was saying, but he was sitting on the bench next to Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow said something to him and got up, walked away.
Starting point is 01:03:51 Jermaine Burton gets up, walks away. Joe Burrow goes back down on the bench. No, I didn't see that. I didn't see that. Take a look at it. He said something. I don't know if he said, don't sit next to me. What are you doing over here?
Starting point is 01:04:03 No, he didn't say that. He said something. I don't know if he said don't sit next to me. What are you doing over here? No, he say that now He says something cuz all I know is he got up and when Burton got up he went back inside down That's all I'm saying now you deduce for whatever you want to deduce from that but check Send that clip ash. Yeah matter of fact, you know, Joe might be upset Joe might be upset because he understands how good he is my Yeah, oh, but he does understand how good he is and how he can help the team.
Starting point is 01:04:27 And he's hurting the team by not being available, by not doing the little things right. If you can't do the little things like show up, practice, catch the ball, then you won't be able to help us on Sundays. So hopefully he'll get it together and add another dynamic and another weapon to the offense that Joe can use.
Starting point is 01:04:44 And Joe's probably frustrated, Joe. Right. And when your quarterback is frustrated, that's not a good thing. That's the wrong person. You don't want to use that. Since you asked in it, since you the the clip. You see this real quick. But Joe tried to win a game. I love that Joe holding people accountable, And that's what you have to do.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Your best players must hold everybody accountable. Your best players must be your hardest worker. Your best players need to set the standard in which everybody conforms to. That's what happens. That's how you win. Oh, yeah. He said, oh, he said something. Okay, now you, he said something.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Hey, listen, body language and mannerisms. You could tell something wrong. Body language and mannerisms. You could tell something wrong. He said something, okay, now you, he said something. Hey, listen, body language and mannerisms, you can tell something wrong. Body language and mannerisms, you can tell something wrong. Yeah, he pissed. He says, I don't know, Ocho, we can deduce,
Starting point is 01:05:37 but we don't know what he's saying. But he turned and he said something to Burton. He got up, and when Burton got up, he went back inside down. Uh huh. Yeah, he out. Where? You know, you don't get right. You don't get right.
Starting point is 01:05:54 You don't get right. Do you listen? I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I see. Probably got enough people in this year already. I don't want to be, you know, one of those. He got you got TJ. I'm sure who's who's going to be. That's why he didn't fall in. That's why he fell in the draft. He had issues at Georgia had issues at Alabama, right?
Starting point is 01:06:10 That's why he dropped right? We're not making this stuff up, right? Right, right, right, right, right, right He dropped Ocho and yeah lot of sometimes guys can have red. That's why they call him red flags their warning signs Sometimes guys can have red. That's why they call them red flags. They're warning signs. Sometimes guys have flags and they say, you know what? It's time for me to mature. I'm not a kid. I'm not in college anymore.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I'm a professional. I'm an adult. I need to conduct myself. I need to conduct myself as such. And then somebody use it as a, that's who I am. Okay. Nah, you can't do that. They're tolerating until they can replace it. Not this level
Starting point is 01:06:47 Not this level because they'd listen your visit can be real short on Your visit can be real short, of course So they get back on the winning track 4124 the pressing win over the Oakland, Oakland, Las Vegas Raiders.
