Starting point is 00:07:11 First topic, Joe Burrell made huge steps in his recovery journey on Wednesday by being named a full participant in Bengals team practice. Excuse me, this is the first time that he's gotten the designation since he's suffered the turf toe injury in week two. Joe would need to be activated by December 1st from the injured reserve to have any chance to play again this season. Bo Cho, your Bengals are three and seven. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Three and seven. The only seven games to go. Yeah, yeah. Is there a scenario which you see if the Bengals were to lose Sunday? Yes, sir. Is there a scenario where you see Joe being activated? Because if he's not activated by June 1st. excuse me, December 1st, that means he can't, I mean, basically, he can't come off
Starting point is 00:07:58 and he'd be on there for the rest of the season. Do you see a scenario where you guys lose this game and him come off injury reserve? Yeah, honestly, I think regards, there is really no scenario in this matter or in this case, whether we win or whether we lose, Joe Burrow being the competitor that he is, he would probably override any suggestions that he gets from doctors, anyone that sits in positions of power in that front office. and he's coming back to play, whether we lose it or not. I just knowing Joe Burrow, the type of player he is, the type of competitor he is,
Starting point is 00:08:32 whether we have a chance to get to the playoffs or he's going to want to finish the season off strong and make some with a statement to show that he can still stay upright. He can still be healthy, you know, regardless of circumstances, whether we're going to the playoffs or not. So you just, hey, you're just looking forward to. them getting back out there on the field you don't you ain't really you don't really think y'all gonna make no play out make no way hey hey joe honestly right now i i haven't really really thought of the scenarios or the possibility of us making the playoffs at three or seven i think it's very very difficult joe honestly yeah it's very difficult but for me uh i would love for joe to come
Starting point is 00:09:15 back not even playoff scenario but just to finish the season off strong finish the season off strong get in, you know, get in there, do what you can. Finish the season off strong. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hold on, let me finish now. I'm three and seven. Listen, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not talking about from a team standpoint at this point. When you're three and seven, I'm just saying individually, all players need to finish
Starting point is 00:09:42 the season off strong from an individual standpoint. So they feel a little better about themselves going into next year. Regardless of whether we did well or we, whether we did well, or we didn't as a team collection. Ain't no regardless. Ain't no earring. And stop using it about irregardless. You're not supposed to use air and regardless, regardless by itself.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I said, I said, or regardless. Yeah, y'all was terrible this year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we were terrible. And you can't finish y'all on no good note. Okay, I say that's why I said individually. That's why the first thing I said, even if, even if we lose, which we won't, which we probably won't. You're going to lose.
Starting point is 00:10:17 There ain't, take the if out. Take the if out. Take that out. First of all, y'all was losing wit, Chase. Y'all was losing with Chase. Yeah. He gone. Okay, now let's try again.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Like I said, someone who has a little optimism, Joe. I'm a Joe, I'm going to talk to you. I'm a little optimistic. Ain't no telling what's going to happen. I know Chase is not playing this game. We got 11 weeks. I know what's going to happen. You know what?
Starting point is 00:10:50 Hey, Joe, I don't like, I don't like the way. uncle's treating my bank. Hey, Ocho, I think y'all just need to let burn. Ocho, can I, you know what? I just want to take my last bite. Go ahead. Take your last bite.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Take your time. Good time. This man, talking crazy. I want to go ahead and finish you and get some food on my stomach because I've been hungry. I had a couple of vests I had to go to that. So I'm going to get my last, my last ride. What's that?
Starting point is 00:11:13 Hey, hold on. Take a time. Me and Joe got it. Anyway, Joe, like I was saying. If one of us wins, we all win. I'm Ashley Wrightfeld. I'm the host of the women's skateboarding podcast. Good luck with that.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast that is part cultural record, part newsbreed, mostly group therapy, and a place to talk about the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding. This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vasconcellos and Alex White, we have Fabiana Delfino on the show, a professional skateboarder from Florida, whose grit was forged in a family of athletes. Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys club,
Starting point is 00:11:49 what it takes to be pro, and why just being great. grateful you're here shouldn't be the price of entry. Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago because that's when they maybe started paying attention. It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the year, stacking clips and receipts and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up. You break down the door, sick now like hold the door for everyone. We created good luck with that because we want to share our experience of existing
Starting point is 00:12:14 an industry that wasn't always built for everyone. So listen to good luck with that on iHeart Radio Act, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. For 25 years, I've explored what it means to heal, not just for myself, but alongside others. I'm Mike De La Rocha. This is Sacred Lessons, a space for reflection, growth, and collective healing. What do you tell men that are hurting right now? Everything's going to be okay on the other side, you know, just push through it.
Starting point is 00:12:44 And, you know, ironically, the root of the word spirit is breath. Wow. Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts that we can do as people just breathe. Next to the wound is their gifts. You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound. That's the hard thing. You think, well, I'm going to get my gifts. I don't want to go through all that.
Starting point is 00:13:03 You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing. Listening to other people's near-death experiences, and that's all they say. In conclusion, love is the answer. Listen to sacred lessons as part of the Maikultura podcast network, available on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Greatness doesn't just show up. It's built.
Starting point is 00:13:25 One shot, one choice, one moment at a time. From NBA champion, Stefan Curry, comes shot ready, a powerful never-before-seen look at the mindset that changed the game. If you're looking to win your fantasy football league, you need to tune in to the NFL fantasy football podcast. It's right there in the name. Every week, Florio, LQ, and I bring you the latest news from around the league. We break down every matchup, give you our analysis and advice so you know who to start, sit, drop, and trade to bring that championship trophy home. I just want to remind everyone how good Rishie Rice was last season.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And these three healthy games, he was the wide receiver two in fantasy. I think Rishie Rice just goes off this week. The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. This side, touchdown! Remandry Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a match-out where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position, and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap, hands it off, Ramonari, running it right,
Starting point is 00:15:01 and running into the end zone. Touchdown! It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, what's up everybody? Daniel Jeremiah here. And I'm Bucky Brooks.
Starting point is 00:15:17 If you love breaking down football from every angle, you're in the right place. Ben Rett Lewis joins us for our rookie draft and coordinator of the week, where we highlight the rising stars and the masterminds calling the shots. DJ talked me into Arande Gadsden Jr. He had a monster game.
Starting point is 00:15:49 A monster game. And you hear from the voices who actually build the game. GMs, coaches, and players who give you insight you won't get anywhere else. High standards and high care. That's the right combination. So whether you're studying tape or just love great football talk, subscribe to move the sticks on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And listen, from an individual,
Starting point is 00:16:14 Hey, from an individual standpoint, Joe, knowing how Burrow is, knowing the competitor that he is. He's a liar. Hey, he, Joe, he's coming back to play, Joe, regards to how we doing at the team. But listen, hey, but sometimes, Ocho, you know, we can get in our own way now. Yeah, the man been bogged down with Andrew. You know that toe going to linger, bro. You know what I, Joe, I know one thing.
Starting point is 00:16:39 If Joe, if Burrow ain't feeling 100%, he's not taking his ass out there on that field. Well, then he ain't going to play. It ain't no way that toe going to be 100%, man. Listen, let the man heal up and then y'all get another crack at the next year. If it don't happen next year, Ocho, you got to blow their thing up. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I mean, I like that, Joe. But I, me, me, honestly, if Joe feels good and knowing how he is, he ain't sitting on that sideline, Joe. If he can go and think about it, 80, 85, 87, even a 90% Joe Burrow, it's better than half the goddamn league. It's better than half the league
Starting point is 00:17:17 out there, even horrible. So I would like to see, I would like to see him, though, honestly, just to finish it all strong. Just so you feel good about yourself in your head. And when the back of your head, it's like, well, goddamn, I didn't, I haven't been hurt three out of six seasons, you know, and ain't been able to contribute to help my team out.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Man, shit. No one in him, man, I'm finishing this shit off. Hey, look, I'm sure he probably does want to get back out. I mean, hell, he's making a lot of money. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. But, uh, Ocho, sometimes, man, you know, you got to get in guys away, man,
Starting point is 00:17:48 and just tell him, hey, look, we understand. Yeah, we know you want to play. Yeah. But, uh, you probably need to sit the rest of the season. Now, we can get you right going into the next season. Uh-huh. Hey, man. Y'all at that just playing football just to be finishing the season.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Right. That may get hurt again now. Come on now. Yeah. I mean, you right. I'm trying to help y'all, man. I'm trying to. Joe, you, Joe, you right, but I'm telling you how the individual is.
Starting point is 00:18:12 He's an animal. But he's an animal, but he's an animal. I just don't see any scenario where he can go sit down, especially, he was a full participant in practice today. He was a full participant in practice. See what if they didn't feel like tomorrow. Yeah. Unless Joe Burr will come back as a combination of Miles Garrett and Lawrence Taylor,
Starting point is 00:18:32 y'all ain't going nowhere. I don't give a damn what he'd come back at. We understand that part, Joe. So he comes back as Miles Garrett and Lawrence Taylor with a little bigster Dion Sanders and Ray Lewis in there. So which one of them are you going to be? Right.
Starting point is 00:18:46 I mean, neither one. Neither one. But you have to understand that. That's not the part we talk about. You got to understand the type of individual Joe is. You got to understand. I know it is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:56 You don't become the number of overall pick without being a competitor. But you also don't become somebody without being realistic. Yeah, I mean, I understand. I joke. Have you seen your defense? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:08 that man ain't thinking about none of that that man ain't think about none of that that man is thinking about getting on that field getting back healthy and trying to contribute and finish the season off on a high note for him in the billy so he feels better about himself going into the off season i'm telling you how he thinking i know it because if he wasn't it wouldn't be no no goddamn reason to be a goddamn practice of today oh he hey joe he was a full participant look on you screen on joe we got something showing for you what's that you what they're bringing the man look at oh look at oh look We got there bringing it back, Joe. Is that bubble wrap? Yolly, we got two. We ain't got a choice. Hey, why y'all, hey, don't know, man? We ain't got no choice on Joe. We don't want to.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Hey, y'all, why y'all disrespect him a quarterback now? Don't know. Hold on. Well, you, you over there laughing. He bet he better than Bo Nix down in Denver right now, and he ain't even, and Joe ain't even playing. We're not debating his skill set. We're not debating how good he actually.
Starting point is 00:20:08 actually is because, excuse me, we know he's great. We're not debating that. I know, I know, but the jokes are, hey, but hold on, the joke's just flying and the he, he and the ha-ha and like he ain't that boy. Don't, you don't think that fit. You just said the man been hurt three of his six years. I'm just speaking facts on what's happening. Yeah, his first year, he got hurt.
Starting point is 00:20:30 The next year, he went through, then he went to, then he went to a Super Bowl. Then he got his wrist hurt. Now he missed the entire rest of that season, which was probably about eight, nine games. Right. Now, this is week 12, so he's going to miss that bare minimum, a bare minimum of another 10 games.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Right. What the hell happened to my camera? You act like we put this around Brett Farb. Payton, come on now. Oh, there you talk about a guy that's been, he missed 10 games his rookie season, if not more. He's going to miss 10 games this season. With his wrist injury, he missed probably another 10 games.
Starting point is 00:21:07 So he's missed probably 30 games since he's been in the lead. Right. I didn't need you to detail all that. The whole right. The best part, the really great with Ocho, you know this. They got to be available. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Listen, you're right. You are available. What good is that? Man, I had the best feet. Man, I had the best feet in the NFL. Yeah. I did. But you played every other year.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Yeah, yeah, you're right. You're right. But you played every Sunday. I did. I did. I did. Hey, Joe, you should have seen my feet, Joe. These thing right here, Joe? Oh, yeah, I've seen you cut a rug or two.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Hey, these thing right here, Joe? Yeah. Hey, them boy got a mind of their own, boy, you hear me? We already know what's going to happen, though, Joe. Man, Ocho had 150 y'all and two touchdown, but they lost. Yeah, that's a lie. That's a lot. That's a lot. Don't do that, oh, Joe. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:22:00 You said, don't do that. You said long as, you said long as Osho got here, he was cool? No, no, Joe, I'm not saying that I did everything. No, he wasn't happy about it. He just knew it was, hey, he knew, I'm going to get mine. Unfortunately, I'm not in a situation where as a team, we're good enough to win more than we lose. Joe, so I got to do, I got to do my part. Joe, my grandma always told me, baby in life, you can only do one thing.
Starting point is 00:22:26 You can control what you can control and do your part. So, Joe, I did my part. Now, collectively as a team, I can't control the other 10 people. I can't control the 11 people that's on defense but I know that I can control I control me I can control them feet that had a mind of their own
Starting point is 00:22:44 Hey Joe I'm the only receiver I'm my only receiver in the history of the game they didn't pay me to play receiver Joe they paid me for my feet alone I'm just saying I'm just being honest to you it's in my contract if you look
Starting point is 00:22:59 I show you a copy of my contract it states we are paying him individually on what he's able to do with his feet. That's what they pay me for. So you said, when the DB lined up in front of you, he had no chance. Lying up in front of who? You? Man, the devil is a lot, Joe. Why ain't play that up there?
Starting point is 00:23:18 You get a, don't ever get too close to me when we would have a conversation, because I'm going to talk to you all the way through the route. Okay. Huh? Yeah, man. I ain't, Joe, I ain't play no game, Joe. Hey, boy, let's, hey, Joe, Joe, he was in this, he was in this band. Ojo can sing really, really good, but they ain't have no number one hits
Starting point is 00:23:37 because they would let him sing lead. So when they let him sing lead or they have more people like Ocho in the band, they'd have been really, really good. So in other words, he really needed to play an individual sport where he can just rely on himself. Because when you play football, you really got to rely on the 10 guys on offense,
Starting point is 00:23:57 the 11 guys on defense, and the 11 guys that they trot out there every time on special team. Ocho did his thing. But like he said, he can only do, he couldn't tackle nobody. He couldn't get no picks, couldn't sack the quarterback. Hey, Joe, we had, we had some other dogs. And they got really good once they got, they got, well, Ketna wasn't bad. Ketna threw for $4,000.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Ketna wasn't no bad quarterback. But they was bad enough that they got, they got, ended up getting Carson Palmer with the number of the overall pick. And then once Carson got in there, they kind of took off from there. Mm-hmm. Yeah, hey, Joe, we were good, man. We had some, we had some ups and down. Hold on that, look, I don't get, I don't pat you on the back now.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Yeah, I appreciate that. I was pat you on the back. I wasn't trying to beat dust out of your clothes. I just met you on the back. You know what I said, Joe? Yeah. He wanted to beat dust out of clothes now. Damn.
Starting point is 00:24:45 I appreciate it. Why we just couldn't leave it at that? Man, Ocho was really good. Ocho did this thing. Hey, I, I was nice now. You know, I was a little something now. I was a little something to watch, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Yeah. Hey, Joe, I could fill up a stadium by myself, Joe. I would like that. Yeah, you, you're going to put on his shoulder now. Oh, yeah, you're going to get that. You're going to get that without playing a whole more way. I'm going to feel your stadium up. See, that's what I need to see.
Starting point is 00:25:07 I need to be a couple of years younger. Yeah. Because he'd be, I'd have been talking to him on the sideline, talking right out of the game. Who? Oh, how are you going to take my script and try to use it on me? Ocho, you do realize I was talking before you was born. Um, what do you know where I'm from?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Do you know where I'm from? Do you understand we start in Pee-wee, Pee-wee Optimus, that talking started at four years old. You weren't doing that when you was four. When you was in four, you was out there in the country, you know, picking watermelon. You weren't talking like this. I came out of the womb talking.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yeah, this is what I do. Hey, Joe, I'm telling you, Joe, well, you put me in the right environment, boy, I say, we're talking right out of this game, Joe. I'm saying, y'all ain't never played against each other? Yeah. Hey, Joe, I spanked him. He was younger than me. It don't matter.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Joe, I spanked them when we played them. Every time. Joe, I showed up to the party, boy. Not the teams that I was on, Joe. You was on the team. What you're talking about? Joe, we already said you had 30-something yards, Ocho. That's all?
Starting point is 00:26:22 That's what do you mean? That's all. Yeah, I mean, because I'm definitely just saying. I'm really not a 30-something. you all received. So the fact that I already had 30. And when you scored against the Broncos, Joe, I mean, oh, Joe, I was already out the game. The game was
Starting point is 00:26:34 over. Hold on. Whoa, whoa. Do you know, you're not going to do that? Oh, no, the devil is alive because you've been out the game now for 20-some years and every time the Broncos no, I said when the game that you played when I was with the Broncos and the game you scored on, you scored
Starting point is 00:26:51 with like 20 seconds, the game was over. I was on the sideline drink a Kool-Lake. Well, hold on. Wait a minute. A gay race splashed around in my stomach. Joe. Hey, hey, Joe, I think Unk might got amnesia because if I recall in 2005 against the Denver Broncos Monday night football, but I went crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:09 If I'm not mistaken. I was retired. I was in the boot. I was sitting at a desk. What does that have to do? You just said I only scored against the Broncos in the last 30 seconds. I told you I've retired two decades.
Starting point is 00:27:19 You just said I only scored in the Broncos in the last 30 seconds. That's not what I recall. No, no, no. I said when I was playing. on the Broncos when Shannon okay okay okay when Shannon I don't know what what you did after I left yeah but I'm saying I do know you score with like 35 40 seconds left in the ball game I don't got my shoes off I got on flip flops okay okay it sounds I got on sound I got on sound I got on shower shoes on the sideline I don't cut my tape off and everything yeah you still in their playing
Starting point is 00:27:49 no hey hey I don't when you scored at the end you were still doing it's not hey look it up Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. It was either 2002, 2003. Joe, look it up, Joe, I ain't gonna lie to you. I remember like it was yesterday. He's going, we don't beat the, we're beating the breaks off him. And then he can, and then he's going to try to celebrate.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I never, hey, Joe, one thing I never do. I was always self-aware. I was always self-aware. You heard me, Joe? No, you weren't self-aware with that one. Because I don't know why, I don't know why you scored a touchdown and want to celebrate. Hold on, I'm telling you how I was. I never do that.
Starting point is 00:28:26 So unless we're scoring first or I'm scoring to tie, I never celebrate if I was scoring, we were losing. Never, never. To me, that's a lack of self-awareness. And to me and myself, I look crazy because why the hell am I celebrating? There's nothing to celebrate for him. We're not winning the game or actually tying the game. So that's something I always kept in the back-in-law.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Well, you won no game with me, but I'm just saying. And whether, was it 0-3 or 0-2? I'm trying to think it might have been 0-2. Nah, 0-2. I gave you all that work. That's all I know. Oh, three. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, you didn't right,
Starting point is 00:29:07 Ash, pull up the receipts, Ash. When did, all up, when did he score that touchdown? When did he score that touchdown? Yeah, yeah. Hey, Joe, you see, you see, Ash put out the receipt, Joe. I was out that they get to avoid that business. But see, hold on, the score was 30 to 10. He, oh, hey, the score was 30 to 3,
Starting point is 00:29:38 empty calories. Hold on. He didn't do all that hard work. He got some cardio in the first four and a half quote, three and a half quarter. Then you just heard that ass say I would give me all that work. You just heard ass that would give you all that work. You caught a 23 yard touchdown.
Starting point is 00:29:50 The score was 30 to 3. We don't took our starters out. We didn't get nobody hurt. Nope, the starters won out the game. at the game because what you're not going to do is you're not you're not go put no backups on me not no no you're not no you're not i think the person if i'm not mistaken that was coming me he wore 24 he wore 24 he was who will be the whole game who dealt oh neal no no champ wasn't there when i was there oh chum came out i was gone oh who was who was it who was it was it was it was
Starting point is 00:30:20 it was delta o'neill well he got that work too who ended up playing with you in cincinnati if i'm He got that work. Anybody with a two and a number got that work for years straight, except Revis, except Revis. I'm going to give him his credit. I think if I'm not mistaken, who? Who you give me credit to? Oh, Revis. That's it.
Starting point is 00:30:43 That's it. Listen, hey, Joe. No, no, no, no, no, no. We didn't have Revis. No, no, I'm just saying. I was telling Joe, anybody with a two as their first number got that work for like 11, 12 years straight, Joe. I seen Revis oh man it was like a bad relationship that never turned out right you hear me
Starting point is 00:31:01 man how you get to Revis Island couldn't get off there huh let me find out you was Gilligan no I had no like Gilligan you're old Gilligan he was on Gilligan hey Joe I got somebody coming to rescue Gilligan Joe I got stuck Joe I ain't had my passport he had defense like down Joe yeah I mean hey Joe he was nice Joe he would nice he was nice he was nice he was nice I look I'm I'm not going to see him like, you know, I taught, I taught craad, I talk cash shit. But one thing I'm going to do, boy, when they come to defense, I'm going to get up with it, give him his credit. And every time I see him, I give him his flowers.
Starting point is 00:31:37 That year, he had a year, man. Oh, Joe, everybody got it, Joe. That 2009 season, Joe? Yeah. That was an historic run that would never be repeated. Never be. Every week, he traveled with number one. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Hey, coach, I got it. Don't even worry about this. And nobody was going to. nobody were getting a hundred no a hundred he shut down nobody got 50 yards he shut down t o he shut down yeah everybody johnson steve smith andre johnn nobody got over 50 boy there's one person there's one person who consistently was able to give reason that give revis that business and give him problems and that was stevie johnson stevie johnson yeah played played in buffalo hey joe stevie was about six-fold and moved like he was five feet tall i mean his far his first
Starting point is 00:32:24 His ladder moving and is quickness. You had to be quick to give him problems. You couldn't be a big receiver and be physical with him because he's playing it to his hands then. You had to be quick. You had to be twitchy. Yeah. If you weren't twitchy. If one of us wins, we all win.

Starting point is 00:36:04 The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. Near side, touchdown! Remandre Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a matchup where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap. Hands it off. Ramonari running it right.

So whether you're studying tape or just love great football talk, subscribe to move the sticks on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's a wrap. You had hell on your hands if you weren't twitchy. The Browns quarterback, wow.
Starting point is 00:37:38 The Browns quarterbacks are 017 and their first career starts since the team rejoined the NFL. This goes back to 1999. Let that sink in. A quarterback has never won their first NFL start in Cleveland, going back to 1999. So basically, that's 27 years. And that's crazy work.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Look at these names. From Tim Couch to Spurgeon, Tom Brady still mad about that Spurgeon, Luke McCown, Charlie Fry, Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Colt McCoy, Brandon Wheaton, Fad Lewis, Johnny Manzair, Connor Shaw, Cody Kessler, Deshaun Kaiser, Kevin Hogan, Baker Mayfield, Dorian Thompson, Robinson, and Dylan Gabriel. Hey, that, that's crazy, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Hey, I think, hey, maybe they just have bad luck in general. Maybe it's just organizational bad luck. Because to not have had a quarterback, to have, I mean, they've had some success, but it was short-lived. It was short-lived that they're still in search of one that they can call their franchise quarterback. that's why they were so, so eager to do what they did with Deshaun Watson because look with what they had to deal with for so long, huh? This is what they had to deal with for so long. That's why they, they were willing to throw whatever it was at Deshaun Watson because
Starting point is 00:39:02 you understood the success that he had before, you know, those issues arose. And even after there rose, we still go play them because we know what we're getting. You see the problem in Dojo? And Ocho, look at, look at the years. 99, they had a, they had a start. 2000, they had a different starter. 04, a different starter. 05, a different starter.
Starting point is 00:39:25 06, a different starter. 08, a difference. You see a real current theme, Mocho? Yeah, man. Joe, you see the real current theme? Yeah. No continuity. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:34 You ain't just fitting to keep trying quarterbacks out there year after year and think you going to win? Look at that. Think about it. 12, different quarterback. 14, different quarterback. 14, different quarterback.
Starting point is 00:39:45 I mean, somebody's in the same season. 16, Cody Kess. 17 Deshawn Kaiser 17 Kevin Hogan 18 Baker Mayfield hey also not crazy and you know what else too Joe and Unk not only different quarterbacks different head coaches different officer coordinators different plays having to continuously learn something new or learn a new system and not getting like Unc said any continuity you know as an offense this is what happens this is what happens it's always something new so no one's ever to get acclimated and comfortable to one thing.
Starting point is 00:40:20 And this is what it will always look like. Turmoil. Hey, I agree. You can't cheat chemistry and continuity, man. You can't cheat that. You know what I mean? You're coming in every year with a different quarterback or a different OC, a different head coach.
Starting point is 00:40:33 I mean... Different system. Yeah, it's a different system. So it's hard to catch rhythm and timing. You know, that stuff takes a while. But I can see why there ain't, why, I ain't no quarterback won't. No, one no game one. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Yeah. Well, I know one thing, Uncle. Shadour, he gets a chance to start. This is the opportunity he's been waiting on. You know, there's no, there's no more excuses. And he couldn't pick the better team to start again. Oh, yeah, yeah, listen, you have a chance to make history. You have a chance to make history and change the narrative, you know.
Starting point is 00:41:05 And if things go well, you talk's going to be good. If things don't go well, we're going to let it be known. Especially me. I've gotten really good at this Uncle Joe. I've gotten really good at being critical when things, when people aren't playing well. Yeah, we have, you got to, we got to talk about what we see. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I'm not sugar-coating shit. But if you go out there and shit it up, you know, all excuses are out the window. You had a week to prepare. You had a week to get acclimated with the offense. And you got, and you're playing against the Raiders. Damn, that's true. Just block 98. If y'all make a mistake, block 98.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Yeah, a matter of fact, you can, you could double and shit. You could scheme him all game. You could scheme him a way to stop 99. need all game. Chip him and doubling. Do whatever you need to do. The gift should do a time to be able to do what he does best. Throw the ball. Shouldn't be no goddamn excuses.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Because, boy, they threw them in against the Ravens. Them boy, fighting for their lives over there. Well, I think the thing is, plus he gets an opportunity, I think the biggest thing, Joe and Nocho, he gets an opportunity to work with those guys. So he'll understand how they get in and out of breaks. He'll understand
Starting point is 00:42:15 you know, the tempo and the speed in which they run their routes because that's something that you can't. You need to be in there to see because one guy, he might, takes a while, he might not get his head around. Ocho was a guy that got his head around real quick.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yes. So you know, hey, I could put this ball out of before he come out of his break. I know as soon, Ocho's snapping his head around. Yes, sir. Other guy, he's like, bro, the ball will hit you inside your damn head if you don't get your head around now. You got to get any of those breaks.
Starting point is 00:42:40 And I thought he threw the ball with some time. Yeah, he missed some throws. There have a couple of shallow. crosses that he probably should have took, but he's a guy that wants to push the ball down the field. Their problem was they were unwilling to take chances. Gabriel was unwilling to take chances and push the ball down the field. It's hard for you to methodically, three yards here, two yards there, five yards here, five
Starting point is 00:43:01 yards, one yard. It's hard to methodically go down the field and win games without at some point in time taking a chance to put the ball down the field. It's just hard to just do that every single down in and down out. they've got to have some consistency. Obviously, they can't fall behind and take the running game completely away. But as long as they can keep the game,
Starting point is 00:43:23 I'm able to run some. I can play action off of that, Ocho. Give him some stuff where I get down flat. Hey, I get a flat route. I get an overrout. I get a comeback. You know, give him stuff like that, stuff that's going to allow him to get the ball out of his hands
Starting point is 00:43:35 real quick at times. And there are other times that you're going to have to call plays specifically so he can push the ball down the field. Right. And I think they'll have to, success. Look, what's it called? might have another four or five sack game. Miles Crott.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett. That offensive line, did you see the offensive line? You see what the Cowboys do? The Cowboys ain't got two players combined as good as Miles Garrett, let alone one. Yeah, you're right. And he ate. So, I mean, Quinny Williams had a sack of the half.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Or Diggy Zua had two, I mean, everybody, everybody was getting it on action. Yeah, Kenny Clark. I can just imagine. And you know what? And if you think about it on, as good as the defense is, this just might be the game.
Starting point is 00:44:25 It just might be the game with that 0 and 17 losing streak for quarterback starting their first time. It might be snap. There's a good chance to be. If he protects the ball and knowing the defense, the defense will get the ball back for him,
Starting point is 00:44:41 many of times on Sunday. It's a good chance. Hey, hey, I'm just saying. The defense should create some great field position for it. Yes. Because Gino is prime. Gino lately, I mean, Gino's really high up on turning the ball over.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Now, I don't know if he's leading the league in intercession, but he's damn close. Put it like this. I don't know if he's leading the room on show, but he at the table where the guy that's leading an intercession, Gino at the table having a conversation with him. You know I'm right behind you. I'm probably going to tie you up this week.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Don't get too comfortable helping that lead. Yeah. Shadour just needs to be Shadour. Like I said, get the ball out of your hands and don't take, listen, Shadour, I understand like, you know, you're looking to make the big play. But it's okay to throw the ball out of bounds. You're not going to outrun.
Starting point is 00:45:35 You weren't blessed with your dad's speed. He weren't. So that belly and back, you're not going to outrun these D-Ens. You're not. you're not all you're going to do if you're in field going to do if you're in field going to take your team out of field go range make it manageable let it if you take a sack take a sack on second down on show now you put yourself further behind the sticks on third downs yeah they need to stay in front of the sticks and that's the thing that you want like young quarterbacks joe you
Starting point is 00:46:03 want them to stay in front of the sticks you want it second and five second and six you wanted third and one to three third at the bare maximum third and five you start getting third eight to ten 12, 13, you're asking for trouble. Yeah. You're asking for trouble. I believe in it, man. I think he's going to do pretty well this weekend, considering, you know, with him having a week with the ones, right?
Starting point is 00:46:26 The number ones, he hadn't done that all year. And I think he's just a young, confident dude, bro. I feel like he knows this is his moment, and I feel like he's going to step up and shine. Yeah. Yeah. He waited a long time, what, 12? weeks to get his opportunity it didn't seem like it was going to come yeah um but you know hey now
Starting point is 00:46:49 the opportunity is here yeah my brother said hey man i ain't get no run man they ain't give it's hey john ill we're gonna call your number now yeah just make sure when he called your number you pick the phone up you ready there you go you ready you go okay it took him 12 weeks before him to call his line call his number mm-hmm she do her answer the phone yeah answer the phone. That's going to be a good one. Shador spoke about getting first team reps. I'm truly excited for that, knowing that I have a piece of the office to say so
Starting point is 00:47:23 and how things fit my eye in place and the players exactly where they need to be, seeing how that come in and out a route, seeing the structure of the old linemen, seeing their set, just having a feeling. I'm more of a field type of a person. So that's how I learned. That's how I do everything. I'm not just a
Starting point is 00:47:39 I'm going to watch it. It's just going to happen. No, I got to be out there feeling. I got to move around. I like so many details that it takes for me to feel my best and play my best. I'm doing everything in my power and this team's doing everything in their power to help me get prepared. Yeah. Ocho?
Starting point is 00:47:57 Yeah. What's your thing is stats going to be? You know what? I don't want to say, I don't want to jinx it. I don't want to jinx it. I just know. You don't want to jinx it? Yeah, I don't want to jinx it.
Starting point is 00:48:07 I just know that Sisfansky understands what Shador's strengths are going to be. He's going to understand what should do your strengths are going to understand what should door does well. So the game plan going to that game is going to be dedicated and geared towards what he's able to do well. For one, that's getting the ball down the goddamn field. Having a healthy balance of being able to run the ball. So play action works as well when they do want to throw. Yep. And make sure they do they cannot under any circumstances be one dimensional. They can't be one dimensional. So a healthy balance of the run, a healthy balance of the past. And once that young boy get in the rhythm
Starting point is 00:48:45 and get any kind of confidence, Joe, man, shh. I think that comes with the prep, you know, throughout the week. Yeah. You know, especially with the ones, getting that under your belt. That's going to create a lot of confidence for the young boy, man. Yeah. You know, going to go into the game. And I think that's going to help him walking, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:49:01 Yeah. And the play goal, the play call is going to look completely different because you've got a quarterback that I can do something different. Yeah, for sure. Couldn't look completely different. Yeah. Ocho, you remember, Joe, you remember your first? first start. Ocho, what do you remember about your first start?
Starting point is 00:49:16 San Diego Chargers. San Diego Chargers in San Diego, obviously, when they had the baseball field. Rodney Harrison. Jack and the Murph, huh? Yeah, yeah. Rodney Harrison, Junior Seow,
Starting point is 00:49:32 Ryan McNeil, who went to the U.M, played defensive back. Yeah, went to the U. Yep. I scored my first touchdown on Ryan McNeil in the corner of the end zone and the scar is still there because I landed on the on i don't i don't know if it was third base or a home plate and skinned up yeah infield yeah infia and skinned up my whole my whole arm is still there it's still there
Starting point is 00:49:54 that's that's how deep that's how deep that cherry was yeah that was that was my first that was my first start joe you remember your first start yeah my first start was uh obviously it was my rookie year it was second game of the season uncoe i was playing behind eric williams who was the small for the boss themselves at the time yeah well he had he injured his knee in the first game so second game of the season coach was like we're gonna start you at the two it was against the milwaukee bucks with ray allen sam cassel big dog oh man i came out there ahead of time you hear me i put about 23 okay yeah young rookie i won my little 20 years old out there man out there getting to it you yeah you you you got a little 20th a little easy 20 piece on him where
Starting point is 00:50:42 Hey, look, see, all you need, especially when you're young like that, is to see those type of performances just to let you know, okay. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I belong right here. I can do this. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And next thing you know, boy, you be putting on the show.
Starting point is 00:50:56 For real. I like it. Man, I just kept saying, man, man, they need to put me in. They need to put me in. They need to put me in. I can make some plays. I can make some plays. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Lo and behold. We get ready to play the chief. we're getting ready to play the Chiefs. Hey, the Chiefs got Albert Lewis. They got Kevin Ross. They got Duran Cherry. They got Martin Baylis. They got Neil Smith, Derek Thomas.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Ooh. Damn. Big Joe Phillips. Oh, man, they got Percy Snow. Yeah. I say, Dan Salamua, Ocho. Yeah. I say, put me in.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Not against them. Let me get somebody that ain't them. They got the number one, they got like the number one, number two defense is all the football. So I'm like, yeah, we're going to put you, we're going to start you and we're going to put you in. I said, oh, okay. I said, so, you know, I'm like, so what I'm going to do?
Starting point is 00:51:59 So they say, hey, want you to line up outside. Yeah. And we get into like five inside to five of the inside. We're going to throw you a fade. I'm like Alvin Lewis went to the Pro Bowl Kevin Ross went to the Pro Bowl So you mean to tell me
Starting point is 00:52:17 Y'all gonna put a rookie hand and say go run a fade on one of them? Yeah Yeah, just jump up over the top of him Y'all say that like that's easy Like yeah Hold on what happened I don't know no better
Starting point is 00:52:28 I was like oh oh Joe So I ain't I told my brother But your boy gonna get the game They gotta play for you boy Where it's call Hey they say jump ball Oh, Joe, I'm geek. Jump ball, you know what I'm saying, don't Joe?
Starting point is 00:52:40 Yeah. Okay. Joe, I get out there, they call it rock because he was compact, but he was strong. If he got his hands on you, you call hell getting off him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:52 But anyway, they didn't expect me to shake him like I did. Yeah. Because they thought it was going to be physical. Right. And so just throw a jump ball. Joe, how about I beat him off the ball clean? I said, okay, he's going to lay it over the table. talk, I'm a kid that high, got
Starting point is 00:53:08 him. Yeah. He back-shoulded, Ocho. Oh, man. So I really had to jump up over the top of him to get it. Did you get it? I got it. Oh, you caught it. I got it. I called it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:25 Hey, hey, I walk into the, Ocho, Joe, I'm walking to the line. I said, Lord, if you help me catch this ball, you ain't got to let me catch no more my whole career. I don't made problems. Hey, hey, listen. Hey. Hey.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Man, I caught it, I caught it, I caught it, I caught it, Ocho. Yeah. And from that, that gave me the confidence because I beat a pro bowler for my very first touchdown. So that gave me the confidence that I belonged. Yeah. And I'm like, and I remember getting back, and I remember going to the sideline. Because everybody, everybody came and like, man, make a good job, good, that's what they make a play. And seven, John told me, say, see.
Starting point is 00:54:06 That's like you. Yeah. You can do that. Mm-hmm. I said, I can do that. Yeah, I can do that. Yeah, I can do that. Yeah, I can do that.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Yeah, that's me. Wow. I don't know why y'all surprised. I was cool. Hey, I was trying to play. Get what I'm doing cool, though. Hey. I tried to play a cool.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Yeah, well, Joe. Hey, I was so good. Hey, get in there. They throw me a short cross. Guy hit me in the back. I fumble it. I know, I know I can't have no prosperity. I don't know me to have no prosperity.
Starting point is 00:54:44 But then they put me back in, they put me back in. Hey, you just got to hold on to the ball. It's going to happen quick. Oh, yeah. Oh, Joe, I run down. I run a goal ball against cover, too. Yeah. Man, I'm talking about, like, soon as the ball hit my hands,
Starting point is 00:55:01 you got caught, hit me in the back. Oh. I held on to it, though. Okay. Oh, no, Joe. Okay, okay. I got a hand the ball and threw a yeah. That was like, man, I really, I really, and come to find out,
Starting point is 00:55:18 I go back and listen to the TV version of it. Yeah. And the announcer said, Coach Reeves is really how on this kid. Think this kid has a lot of potential. Yeah. Hmm. So he didn't tell me that. Oh, I got potential.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Hey, hey, a one thing about, hey, Joe, I mean, Joe and those in the chat that have played sports, one thing about it when you're not sure yourself, you know, and even if you are confident and you go out there and you perform well and whatever it is that you do, whatever, whatever your respective craft may be, and you make a play or you do something good, and then you do it again and you start to build that confidence, once you got confidence, it's a rap. it's a wrap in that point on and you just stack them one on top of another and at some at some point it just becomes it becomes natural it becomes consistent oh yeah hey look as a rookie man you
Starting point is 00:56:16 play so hard bro i'm talking about so hard because listen i just remember being out there on the court thinking like man i'm out here with playing against michael joy and tracy mcgrady Vince Carter. I'm playing with Antoine Walker, Paul Pierce. Like, I remember being in so much of all that I was like, I'm telling y'all, bro, I couldn't really sleep as a rookie. Like, I used to be so geek for the moment.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Like, I couldn't wait. I couldn't wait. So you just wanted to play hard as crap because I never wanted coach to have a reason to take me out the game. I don't care what it was. I was out there playing hard as I don't know or trying to get as many deflections as I can,
Starting point is 00:56:52 hands everywhere. I ain't lying. That's funny. Hey, it's just, Like when you see, man, I remember the first time we played in Denver was a preseason game. We played the 49ers. Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Oh, they're, Roger Craig, John, all them just. I'm like, damn, I'm really on the field. I'm really in the NFL. That's, damn. I'm looking at Jerry like, that's Joe Montana. Yeah. You know, that rotten lot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:29 I'm like, I caught a touchdown in the preseason, Ocho, and then hit the ham on them. You were dancing in the preseason? Boy, look at here. I'm from an HBCU. I just called a touchdown on the defendant's Super Bowl chair. Hey, I was throwing crazy.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Yeah. Man, I was, man, I was, man, I was, And it was televised. It was a Monday night game. It was televised, old Joe. Yeah. No, they saw me. Everybody in Savannah State.
Starting point is 00:58:01 I know they watch it. My hometown, Glenville, they're watching. I already know. Man, I told y'all, I had no sharp. Man, I told y'all sharp like that. Man, I bet I was so happy. I got my cell phone bill probably $700. Because you know back there, cell phone bill, they charged you about a minute.
Starting point is 00:58:22 It was like $3 a minute, Joe. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It was like three, four dollars a minute. I mean, a phone bill. Hey, quick. High.
Starting point is 00:58:32 I had that big old brick, too. I don't know why I had a brick, bro. I was a seventh round draft pick. I was 64,000. I got a cell phone bill. Oh, yeah. The Motorola, the Motorola, eight something. I know you talk about it.
Starting point is 00:58:43 Yeah, that big brick. Yeah, they had the big brick. Now, they had the one that you had the, you had the pouch. You had the cat, you had to carry like a mouse with it, yeah. Yeah. That you were carrying on your person. You could just hit it, yeah. And then they came with the portable.
Starting point is 00:58:55 What was it was it was it was it was it free on the weekends could you that came later at first it wasn't like that you had to pay and it was all like if you go out of the area it was Roman Roaming Chargers so you had to pay Roman Charging oh yeah yeah yeah man the Roman Chargers man that pay me my be my be crazy I ain't know hey let me say I didn't know nothing about the Roman Char I just hey they didn't explain it to you back then oh Joe they don't explain it to you now that this is what you get and If you go over your data, you've got to pay extra. They didn't explain it.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Phone, this is what it costs, blah, blah, blah. I ain't enough about Roman. I ain't know if you go out of saying Roman with extra like $6 or you got a call. I'm big balling. Ocho, I'll take it my phone on the road. That's Roman. You got money, boy. Hey, listen, I forgot.
Starting point is 00:59:44 I forgot what service provider. I didn't have no money. Yeah. I forgot what service provider I was with Joe and Unk, but I understood. I forgot what I was with too, Ocho. I had him explained to me. about the minutes. And they said,
Starting point is 00:59:56 if you use a certain amount of minutes and you hold on to it, they don't use your phone that much this month, the minute's going to roll over. They roll over. Roll over to the next month. I say, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:07 So I'm going to make sure I don't go over a certain amount of minutes, so I got a little bit extra going to the next month. Joe, boy, hey, there was some days back then, boy. It don't work like that. You were to burn through the minutes so quick. Man, what?
Starting point is 01:00:21 You burn through the minute so quick. And then once they brought that week, after 7 o'clock and weekend free, hey, I call, hey, I call y'all at 705. You didn't get no calls during the day. On the phone, on the phone all night long. Hey, I call you with it free. And in the weekend, oh, you blurring that thing up.
Starting point is 01:00:41 Hey, I'm talking to that thing getting hot on the side of your head. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Hold on, and Joe, hey, Joe, don't have no girlfriend, though. On the weekend, y'all be on the phone. You be on the phone. All day, all night. Hold on, you wake up.
Starting point is 01:00:58 The phone's sitting on your chest. Hello? Oh, you still there? Yeah. The whole, hey, boy, hey, there was some days on. Hey, Joe, I know you did. It was a day that you were a little, huh? You were a little, huh?
Starting point is 01:01:10 You didn't lie. Come on now. Hey, on the phone all night long. Ain't don't be talking about nothing. Ain't talking about nothing. Six, seven hours, straight. Man. You just they made the phone that the phones got smaller
Starting point is 01:01:22 and they had a little clip that you have them on your side, That's Star Trek. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the side kick, too, yeah. Oh, man. Yeah. Oh, them's some good memories.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Let me ask you this, Joe and Ocho. Which game do you think will have the most views? Browns Raiders or Eagles Cowboys? Browns. Browns Raiders. Probably Browns Raiders. I mean, there's a lot of people, man, there's a lot of people looking forward to seeing Shed do a play.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Yeah. They are. Browns Raiders. He got it's in the early window. So they're not going ahead to head. They're not really going head to head to head. Because of the Fox, the Fox game, the Cowboys Eagles, I think, if I'm not mistaken, I think that's 425. Is that 425?
Starting point is 01:02:01 425, right. And so what you call it was in that 405 window? Yeah. So all of the one of course. This is just the Cowboys, man. Hey, did you see all those Cowboys fans Monday night at that stadium, Ocho, Joe? Yeah, I did. Did you see all those cowboy fans?
Starting point is 01:02:17 Yeah. I flew out. We flew out, Jordan, I flew out on Tuesday morning. Uh-huh. Joe, Ocho. I was like, hold on. They fans weren't going to Dallas. They flying to Atlanta.
Starting point is 01:02:30 So I can just imagine the people going back to Dallas. I can imagine the people going elsewhere because there were so many cowboy fans in that airport. So many cowboy fans. I'm talking about cowboy hats, cowboy boots, that jersey, CD jersey. I'm like, oh, my goodness. You people traveling, man.
Starting point is 01:02:49 They travel. Hey, they're stealers. They're still in the Cowboys. Hey, the Steelers. Oh, they're both in the late. Oh, I actually, they moved them. The Coast Chief is in the early window. So the Coast Chief is the one o'clock game.
Starting point is 01:03:03 And now the Browns Raiders and the Cowboys Eagle are both in the same, in the same 425 window. Oh, shoot. It's going to be interested. Yeah. I still think the Browns and Raiders are the most views. And the way they do that, see, you can't get, what you call them, like sometimes you can have, they have, okay, you can watch this game,
Starting point is 01:03:21 this game, this game, this game. They're not going to do it with these two games. You got to pick one. You got to pick one. Hey, look, why it's so hard to watch the game now, man? You got to download eight apps. You sure do. Guess what, Joe.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Guess what? With that new contract come up, you'll have to download some more. Yeah. Well, you already got Netflix, but Netflix's going to want a package. That's how they get it. That's how these franchise, you see all these. franchises how they skyrocketed in prices. I mean,
Starting point is 01:03:55 Broncos owner just, he just bought the Broncos for $4.5 million. Now they're worth $6.8 billion. In five, six years, they've increased $2.3 billion. The Cowboys worth, what, $11, $12, $13 billion. Jerry bought it for $1,5,540 million.
Starting point is 01:04:12 Hmm. Hey, that's why because the revenue, there's not, look, there are a lot of sports. There's baseball, there's basketball, but don't nothing move the needle in North America like NFL football. Manful loves for football.
Starting point is 01:04:27 And two reasons. Fantasy and sports betting. Mm-hmm. Because you watch it intently. Are they going to cover Ocho? And then now the prop bets? Man, sometimes you don't even care about the game. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:43 I just want to see a CD get six catches. I just want to see the CD get sent it by y'all. I want to see what Chase. Like that. Hey, that's why I have to stop bed. I don't care about. I don't care about. I can't watch it.
Starting point is 01:04:54 I try to get these props. Hey, look, Ojo, that's why I have to stop bedding. I can't even watch the game in peace because I got my dad's talking to hit. I'm like, man. And look,
Starting point is 01:05:05 it's like when you watch it intensely like that, you ain't never going to hit. But boy, let you mess around, make a bed and end up falling asleep or something. Boy, he'd be right on a number.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Mm-hmm. Every time. I have to stop watching. That's how they do when you play in the cash three of the cash. Hey, I know you happy. Happy about what? I know you happy. I know your birthday came.
Starting point is 01:05:30 I said, what? What birthday? That's my sister called me. Tell me, yeah, I know you probably had it. I said, had what? Your birthday. I said, huh? My birthday hit?
Starting point is 01:05:40 At 06-26, Caj, 4. I had, you know, I said, I don't you. I had a straight box. Yeah. A little cool. A little cool. 12,500. A little 12,500 I hit.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Yeah. Then the cash three, my aunt's birthday, 7-11. Yeah. I played it. I had it 10 times straight. It came. That's 5,000.
Starting point is 01:06:01 They tried to run it back past me, Joe, the next day. Because I played it that evening on Sunday, and I played it again. You know what? Y'all's going to try to run it back again. Hey, guess what? They came, brought it right back. Brought it right back, Joe.
Starting point is 01:06:15 And guess what? I was sitting on it again. Okay. another 5,000. Yeah, Joe, they can't get on my way. Hey, matter of fact, you know what, I'm going to do that. Now you just gave me an idea. You know, I'm going to play my grandma and my mama birthdays.
Starting point is 01:06:29 I'm going to play my grandma and my mama birthdays. Probably play, you know, maybe due to the year they were born. Yeah, I'm going to go play. That's normally what I do. You play your birthday. If you play it, you know, you can play it straight, combo, straight box. I played, I played it. I played it.
Starting point is 01:06:43 I played it straight. I had it two times straight and one time combo. combo back combo probably costs you $2 because it's actually because now any way it come those numbers come it can come 6-6-20 it could come 6-60 any combination and you'll get you know half of what you normally would get so oh yeah i'll hit it i'll hit a lick on it oh chow bill's wide receiver keon coleman is reportedly likely to be inactive for the second consecutive game keon is expected to sit to mars against texans according to eric turner of cover one. Earlier in the week, Coach Sean McDermott said he needs to see Keon show growth to get back on the field. On Thursday night against the Texans, the bills
Starting point is 01:07:26 are likely to go with Joshua Palmer, Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers, Khalil Shakir, and Gabe Davis as active. Hey, listen, they're going with the veterans. They're going with the veterans. Hey, listen, obviously as a rookie, you know, you want to come in and make your impact,
Starting point is 01:07:42 but they have players that are a little bit more impact, a little bit more, impactful than you are and bring a little bit more to the table than you do so you know obviously i mean at this point we're going into week 12 week 13 whatever it may be i mean it's it's already set in stone i mean anything that you could have shown or proved that you could do you haven't done it to date which is why they're comfortable making you inactive showing you that we can get the job done without you especially as productive as they were offensively last week without you hell you know that the we don't need it we have a great start you
Starting point is 01:08:16 I got a great story to tell you and Joe, ooh. Yeah, we had, what, five, six touchdowns and you didn't play? So, yeah, well, what's the point of this point? Six. See, yeah, six. Three and 17 yards.
Starting point is 01:08:28 Yeah. Hey, so, hey, you know what that mean? To me, all it says is Keon Coleman, young boy, I know you're going to see this. You know, I love you to death. We talk all the time. Come on down here with me in the offseason. Come on down here with me in the off season.
Starting point is 01:08:41 I guarantee you, they'll never sit you down again. Even if you do miss a meeting. You would be too valuable for them and what you bring to the table on a Sunday for them to sit you down. Come on down here, work with your board now. I remember my rookie season, Dennis Smith, number 49-0-cho.
Starting point is 01:09:02 We call him Kahuna. And Kahuna, I mean, he was one of the guys that from the time I got there, he always, I don't know what it was, but the veteran players, a lot of the veteran players that were really good took a liking to me. Him, Elway, I mean, I mean, veteran players,
Starting point is 01:09:18 Hoona got there in 81, John got there obviously in 83 with the trade through Baltimore. But the best took a liking to me. And I remember him saying, Sharp, never let them see they can win without you. Oh, Joe, that's why I shot up a lot of times
Starting point is 01:09:34 because I didn't want my backup to get in and then all of a sudden he played well and then all of a sudden they figured they could move on from me. So that was also another reason that I shot up. But I'd never forget him saying that. He said, Sharpe, never let them see that they can win without you. If you notice, who adopts that? The quarterbacks, Brady take every rep, Peyton Manning took every rep,
Starting point is 01:09:56 Brett Farve took every rep, Drew Reeves took every rep. You're not going to see if that guy can play or he can't play. Because I'm never going to give you an opportunity to let you see if he can play. You just got to go on your instinct because I ain't coming out of there. See, what Keon Coleman did, he allowed them to let Terrell Shavers get on the field, show. we can win without him. Now, once they find out they can win without you, guess what they'll do, Ocho, win without you,
Starting point is 01:10:23 and they'll move on. Now, he, the coach says, I need to see growth. We having a conversation about a guy in the second year that shows growth. Now, I'm going to tell you, look, got a great personality. Hey, the best. But after a while, they'll be going to be laughing at you. You're talking about, guess what this jacket?
Starting point is 01:10:40 Guess what I got this jacket from? I'm going to go back. It's funny. Kiki, key, key. But at the end of the day, you better be putting some points on the board. You better be getting some yards. You better be getting some catches. You better get some sacks, some interceptions.
Starting point is 01:10:52 You better do something other than make them laugh because they're going to say, you need to go to the improv. You need to be at the laugh factory because the football field ain't where you need to be. At the end of the day, as my good friend, Glow said, the day's going to end. And when it ends, you better have catches, yards, and touchdown. If you play on the opposite side of football as a skill position player. and they're not playing, hey, Ocho, it's too much money involved
Starting point is 01:11:18 because before you know it, they're going to have to make an investment, $20, $25, $30, $30, $40 million. And they say, hold on, you're doing this and you're on your rookie contract. What's going to happen we give you $30 million, Ocho? Yeah, yeah, you're right. Uncle, you got to be special. They got to be something about you, Joe.
Starting point is 01:11:37 They got to be something about you as a receiver that separates you. everybody play receiver everybody can run everybody can can catch what is it about you that makes you that much more valuable and better than the next man it got to be one thing you ain't got to be a bunch you got to be one thing that separates you from everybody else hey um joe you know on every on every NFL team there's a number one receiver and there's a number two receiver there's something about that number one receiver that the number two can't do whatever it may be they both play the same position but one is a little better than the other you have to find that one niche it got just just one Joe that's it's all the table and they got to find it
Starting point is 01:12:16 his personality is so big it's so big if we can get his game on the field to match his personality he's got to match it though oh my hey Joe I'm talking about it's two players I want to work with so bad Joe so bad because I know if I can get them anywhere close to how their personality is in front of that camera off the field they we talk about all world we talk about all world They can be in a conversation of top five based on if they can get their skillset up to part and mess their personality. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:45 John Coleman is one. The other one is Xavier Leggett. Hey, listen. Hey, them boys electric when that camera's in front of them, boy. If I can get their game to match their personality, man. Oh, okay, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:12:59 I like Keon Coleman. And this could be a wake-up call for him. You know, for him to be a healthy scratch again. Like, you know, you know what could potentially be coming next down the pike man this should make him really look at himself in the mirror and get to work and be like man when I get back out there I got to get him boys hell you know what I mean so yeah I'm hoping I'm hoping he takes some good from this bro because I seen him over there dancing
Starting point is 01:13:27 and all that when he knew he was out then but hey look that I tell my son that hurt me man I tell my son who in college I say hey bro they're watching you even when you don't think they're watching you, boy, they're watching you. Yeah, they're watching. So you sit over there, moat, pal, and do all that. Man, no folks are watching, man. Always. We've all been here.
Starting point is 01:13:50 The longer you go without something, they're easier it is to be without something. The longer they play without Keon in that lineup, the easy it becomes them to play without him in the lineup. I'll give you a prime example. You saw, they say CD and PIC went out. Now, if that's the third, fourth, and fifth receiver,
Starting point is 01:14:10 they're not even playing. Right. But that's the one and two receiver. They miss a series. You see the difference? Yeah. Jimmy Johnson said, Jimmy Johnson cut a guy for sleeping in the meeting.
Starting point is 01:14:19 The reporter said with Jimmy, if that was Troy and he was sleeping the meeting, what would you have done? He said, I'd woke his ass up. One guy get cut, the other guy, the other guy can get woken up. They ask Mike, what about, you say you lead the players if they're not there.
Starting point is 01:14:36 Well, what if it's a, what if it's, uh, what if it's, uh, TD? What if it's sharp? What if it's Elway? Well, that's the one thing about charting the flight. They'll wait on you. We're going to wait. But you, you understand the level of importance by some of the things that you can get away with. But I'm going to be on time because I need to be on the back of the plane to make sure when everybody else get on. I see what they're wearing so I can cut the ass up when they got on the bull job. And that's what my job was. Get to the plane early. Yeah. So I can see what you got on. You know if you got on bus too. That's what Sharp was.
Starting point is 01:15:08 That's what them Johners were. It was coming, huh? If you got on some bull's eye, don't you get on bus too. We had coaches getting on our bus. Man, I just want to see what 80 folks going to say about what such and such got on. Come to the right place.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Could I'll tear his ass up. But, Keon, don't you, don't you, don't you, hey, let us cut you. Don't you give us a reason to cut you? Yeah. They will. Boy, do you understand?
Starting point is 01:15:35 there's a guy in college right now won't Keon Colvin's spot. There's a guy in high school want to be a starting receiver want to be a receiver on the Buffalo Bills. Mm-hmm. And high school, brough. And got his head down working.
Starting point is 01:15:49 These jobs, this ain't no, this ain't no doctor, no lawyer. You don't get no 30-year career in NFL. They replace every year the turnover. That's why the average NFL career is 2.3 years. Even when you get a guy like Aaron Rogers, they got 20 seasons. Even you got a guy like Mercedes-Louis, they got 20 seasons. 15 and 18.
Starting point is 01:16:07 The average NFL career is 2.3 years. That's it. So how many guys, in order for that 20 and 18 and 15, Ocho, to drag it down to 2.3? That means a lot of guys playing one year or not even playing at all. At all. Absolutely. Hey, look at it. Look at the NBA.
Starting point is 01:16:23 It's 450 guys every year, not just this year, not last year, every year. So if they got 50 new guys coming in every year, guess what? They got to have at least 50 going out. 50 guys got to go. It's 450 guys. There's only 450 guys every year, bro. Hey, that's why you got to stay on top of your game. That's why you got to continuously train.
Starting point is 01:16:45 That's it. And don't give them a reason to. You got to get better. Yeah. Greatness doesn't just show up. It's built. One shot, one choice, one moment at a time. From NBA champion, Stefan Curry, comes shot ready,
