Joining us now, Bill Zune had some injuries this year as a rookie, but they still had a strong rookie campaign. Let's welcome Buffalo Bills rookie, Keon Coleman. Keon, what it do? How y'all doing?
Starting point is 00:03:01 What's up, boy? Where you at, baby? What's that? I'm in Texas right now. Man, listen, I'm gonna be there tomorrow, man. How y'all doing? What's up, boy? Where you at, baby? What's that? I'm in Texas right now. Oh, man, listen, I'm going to be there tomorrow, man. We going to slide to the, what you going to call it? Wait, you in Dallas or Houston?
Starting point is 00:03:14 I'm in Houston. Boy, hey, boy. You in Houston? Boy, what you doing out there? You good? You're not married, are you? Nah, nah. You good.
Starting point is 00:03:24 You good. You good. You're good. You gon' put some pictures on the wall anytime soon? Yeah, this is just a room, man. This is just a room, this is an office space. I mean, you know they hang pictures on the office. In the office. Not yet. I need some more pictures like in the air zone,
Starting point is 00:03:40 you know, some crazy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put a duck. Okay, you come out, obviously, you know, second crazy... Okay, you come out obviously, you know, second round draft pick your rookie season. What can you take from this season and how do you build on that going into season number two? Really just stay hungry. I think that's really the thing I came with, you know, come out of the season with stay hungry Unfortunately injuries and stuff like that. So just continue to take care of your body.
Starting point is 00:04:06 And then, you know, the owner-field stuff, you know, just continue to be where you're supposed to be at. And, you know, the players gonna have to, you know, the playmakers gonna make the plays, you know. So all that's gonna fall in line, just continue to work harder. Yeah. Hey, listen, you had a good rookie season, 29 catches, 556 yards, 4 TDs. It was a good showing. How's your confidence going in year two? And what do you think the difference is from playing in college and the transition into the NFL?
Starting point is 00:04:35 Was it difficult? Most of the time for players, there's a learning curve. Normally, you don't arrive, as we call it, to year three. What do you think you need to improve on going into year two? So the game slows down for you. When the game slows down for you, that's when you know you arrived.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So for one, the confidence, confidence is always on the limit. You know, standing at a thousand at this point, so I'm real confident going into the next season. My connection with Josh and all that, that's continued to turn in the right direction. So confident real high, you know, been getting out to the after this offseason training and stuff, but the biggest difference college to the NFL, just got to be more technically sound, bro. Everybody's looking, you know, that much better,
Starting point is 00:05:18 you know, and we're making it even worse, the D-line that much faster. So that's all it is. They get back there faster, the ball gonna come out faster. And then understanding that you're not always playing against a guy across from you, you really playing a guy that's got that headshot on, calling the thiefs of play. So you really playing against the DC. So understanding their tendencies and what they like to do,
Starting point is 00:05:38 what they like to take away from certain guys, that's really who you really be going against. So once you master that, then you be a higher. I like it. Keon, there are the report that came out that's really, you know, who you really be going against. So once you master that, then you know, you be a higher. I like it. Keeon, there was a report that came out that some team, I mean, you don't have to name the team if you don't want to, got upset with you from eating fruit snacks in the meeting. Can you elaborate what was said and what made you feel like they got upset with you for eating fruit snacks?
Starting point is 00:06:02 I mean, if they wouldn't have, if they't have, the fact that they even mentioned it, it was like, it was like, you know, cause it was like a, it was a certain look, man. You know that look when you were in the meeting. Yes. Full of people. And it's just one of those looks in the night that it was like, well, I think they stopped at me
Starting point is 00:06:16 and was like, you know, please, you know, just wait till afterwards to eat the snacks. I'm like, I ain't really trippin'. You could have waited till after to say that. You didn't have to interrupt the meeting for that. Do you feel me? But I'm like, cool. Like, you know how you get all them, uh, the formal means at the, at the cap point. I had like 15 of them in one day. This was like number 15. Yeah. It was all great business, but I was, that was hard, bro. I ain't gonna name the team. No, it ain't that serious.
Starting point is 00:06:42 You went viral for a lot of your comments that you made during the draft process at the combine. Were you surprised by how much attention, your answers, the questions that were being asked, are you surprised at how viral those moments went? I mean, with the social media nowadays, where everybody comments is looking for a clip or something that's just different. And it's rare guys just be they self, you know, in those type of situations, they're more intense or, you know, get a robot answers. I'm just me, bro.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Stuff is just going to be said. It's just, I'm going to be myself 100% of the time. And, you know, I mean, they didn't blow up, but I mean, I couldn't say I didn't expect it to kind of just happen. No, it ain't like I was planning for it. It just kind of was conversation here and there. And I give you my response and say I didn't expect it. It kind of just happened. You know, it ain't like I was planning for it. It just kind of was conversation here and there. And I give you my response and what I think I should say. And just go from there. I think that's why so many fans, including myself,
Starting point is 00:07:33 I talked about it too, about some of the things that you say, the way you carry yourself. You authentic, you organic. You're not politically correct. You're not a robot, which most of the time, the NFL wants you to be. Obviously, you understand
Starting point is 00:07:46 There's a fine line You don't want to cross but you're able to be yourself and what makes it good for you Why I know you're gonna be a superstar because when you have that that organic Mentality and you're authentic the way you are in real and a lot of people can relate to you and you can play on the field As well that takes you to a whole different level So you got that it fact that you can't even teach, so you ahead of the curve anyway. So my next thing I wanted to ask you is how did you approach,
Starting point is 00:08:12 how did you approach learning to playbook as a rookie? Because I'm thinking about my rookie year when I got to Cincinnati. Boy, I struggled, boy. I struggled and I really couldn't touch the field the way I wanted to. How did that go for you, your rookie year? Oh, I mean, it wasn't like, it wasn't,
Starting point is 00:08:29 I wouldn't say it was hard for her. Like the plays, the playbook, the formation, none of that really was hard. It made even more sense from the college playbook. You know, I played in a pro-style system at Michigan State, then got to Florida State, it was another system. So just the combination of both
Starting point is 00:08:44 and putting myself to the task, and if I got to Florida State, it was a number system. So just a combination of both and put myself to the task. If I got the Florida State to learn it that fast, it helped, because I got two different systems to combine and learn these launch systems. So it was pretty important. Yeah, it wasn't that simple for me, Keon. I ain't gonna lie to you, bro. Because the number system, like most people learn
Starting point is 00:09:03 the number system, two, four, number system 2468 is to your right 135 is to the left well Tom Landry it was a defensive coordinator so when he got to be a head coach and he started calling plays it was reversed so 135 is to your right 2468 is to your left so I hear something with odd with an even number I roll the a ass to the right. I got this one. Hey, hey, Sean, where you going? Sean, where you going? 24680 to the right.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Ah, damn. So I stayed, yeah, it was tough. But I'm glad you was able to pick up because as Ocho said earlier, the quicker you can pick it up, the quicker you can let your ability take over and you're not thinking. And you're like, damn, am I running the right route?
Starting point is 00:09:47 And you're going, cause you want to, like you said, everything is sped up. If you hesitate, you beat in this league because everybody's good. Yeah. Yeah. Let me ask you this. How did you get used to playing into the cold? Cause you got cold in Michigan, but Buffalo is a different animal. I mean, they're just three feet in the snow overnight.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I mean, once it's below 32, because of the technical cold and cold, you just got to, you know, get is cold, right? You just gotta, you know, you got the old thing there. Yeah, like you should be more excited for the game than you is to think about the cold. Cause if you cold at all, we get it. So like the game come, you know, you might not always practice in the cold, but it's like, but you can make it a few hours in the cold.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Like this is, this is your profession, right? But if you go, you go through a little routine my best advice I'll take a shower before even hot games, but these cold games take you a shower if you're a Vaseline guy Vaseline that body down kills them pores if you're a Tiger Balm guy whatever you use use that Once you hop out that shower them pores is open. Huh use that Vaseline get right get your feet Get your hands and your feet that the main Gotta keep them toes and your fingertips Well, don't you get cold don't fingers get cold yeah, I catch like
Starting point is 00:11:21 It'll show the pads already brick like this coat was frozen Yeah, they... But now, you gotta hold that baby. You gotta hold that baby. You gotta hold that baby, Keyon. Mm-hmm. You'll figure it out. But the cold really fun though,
Starting point is 00:11:33 because nobody on the digital side really be trying to hit, because it hurts. It hurts. So they just trying to push me out of bounds and stuff. So you can catch it, you just be off to the rest. Hey, listen, I know you're not a scout.
Starting point is 00:11:44 I know you're not a GM. I know you're not a GM, I know you're not in the front office, you were a rookie last year, but based on how well you guys played offensively, obviously having Josh Allen, and you know your defense, if you were a GM, if you were in the Bills front office, in the war room draft day, what do you think your team needs to improve, if any area needs improving? Hmm. I think it's always room for improvement.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Yeah, always. But we did do quite a bit of injuries, you know, but on a defensive side of the ball, I'll go D-line and corner. Okay. And probably look for another guy at safety that could play that higher bit safety position. So up and down down in the box and Okay. Yeah I'll go i'll go deline
Starting point is 00:12:31 Anywhere on that d line I go one or two deline men, uh, give me a corner I actually I get two corners. You always need that right? Yeah You can have that so I'll give me two corners and then I'm gonna give me I'm gonna give me another receiver They can play different positions. I don't what you think I then I'll go give me another receiver that can play different positions out there. What you think? I saw reports and it might be possible, I'm not sure if it's true or not, but maybe Stephon Diggs reuniting coming back to Buffalo? I don't know. My ear don't be in that door. I don't know about that. If he come back, I'll be happy to have him as another guy in the room to learn from. Yeah, listen, listen, for me from the outside looking in, adding another weapon like Stephon that knows offense, that knows Josh Allen, most of the pressure wouldn't be on him just being there
Starting point is 00:13:17 to contribute in a way, obviously being a veteran presence, you know, for some of the young guys, I think it would be a good look, you know, for you for you guys. So, hell, I mean, I like it. I like it. And you're a young man. Really? Like I said, I don't know that might be in that window. I don't know. They don't be hearing that about that.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Let me ask you this. We have Josh Allen. What's it been like because you go to a team and you got one of the better quarterbacks in the national football league. It ain't no, oh man, I don't know, I show hope we can win today. You got this guy, there's an expectation to win. There's not a hope. You don't hope to win.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Sometimes you have quarterbacks, man, if the defense can hold them to 17, if we can get a couple of big plays, create turnovers in special teams, we can win. You go out there every week with 17 as your quarterback expecting to win. What is it meant like playing and having 17 calling plays in the huddle? I mean, it's real fun, you know? We have a lot of fun, even throughout the game,
Starting point is 00:14:18 we'd be joking around, you know, it's a place where we all can be loose and still be professional and get our job done. But with him back there, bro, it's like, it's a blessing. I say it's a blessing to be able to be blessed with a quarterback of that talent. As a rookie, as a younger guy, you know, most guys come in and be great, but struggle because the quarterback is not up to par. But my quarterback demands greatness and he demands you to be where you need to be.
Starting point is 00:14:41 And that ball will come around. And even if you ain't expected it, it's still that. Yeah, it's always going to be and that ball will come around and even if you ain't expected it, it's still there. Yeah, it's always gonna be a catchable ball. It's not easy playing with a guy like that because you have to stay active. You might think he's gonna be on one side and like damn how you get way over there and the ball coming out. It's like it's not easy. Hey you ain't got time to say damn, run and take off. Take off.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Hey when you hear the crowd go wild and start looking, find it. You gotta take off. Take off. Hey, when you hear the crowd go wild, you start looking, find it. You gotta take off. You better go meet him on the other side of the field. You want that right? That gotta be an awesome feeling, being able to play with somebody that's elite, one of the best in the game.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Listen, probably top three, top four in the NFL that can extend plays and play off script. So regardless of when the play breaks down, you still know you have an opportunity to get a ball. That has to be a great thing. I got one I got one question that really had nothing to do with football. I think if I'm not mistaken Buffalo is known for its wings yes? Yeah they got some problems. If there was a wing spot I know you only been there a year if there was a wing spot and
Starting point is 00:15:40 you had to choose where to go to get wings. Where would you go? Barbelle, oh they got this place called It's it's love something. I don't know why mama know the name of that. I just know where it's at It's downtown in Buckville, but either they're a barbelle And y'all got big enough I need them all I need I need them to add that honey lemon pepper and a hot lemon pepper I need both of those flavors on all these menus. Okay. That's the only flavor they missing for me. Hot lemon pepper and honey lemon pepper.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I need both of those. They ain't got no wing stuff out there in Buffalo, huh? Nah, we ain't got that. I don't think so. I ain't seeing one. Well, you ride across the bridge from Toronto. You travel across the bridge? Hey, I... Ooh. That ain't right across the bridge. That's an hour and a half. Man, Toronto ain't no hour and a half.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Now you gonna tell me. It's an hour and a half? Because when I came to Buffalo, I went across the bridge. And that traffic was ridiculous. And you heard him what you say, huh? What you say, Kia? That traffic was ridiculous. And you heard him what you say, huh? What you say, what you say, Kea? That traffic ridiculous, oh my. Soon as you cross the border and you get down to Toronto,
Starting point is 00:16:52 traffic ridiculous. Oh, that ain't no change, because when we went across there, it wasn't no hour, because you know we land, and drop them bags off. Well, y'all understand that, though. Well, y'all understand that. Y'all was in the city of Buffalo?
Starting point is 00:17:04 No. Well, y'all understand that. do way over standing. I was in the city of Buffalo. No We don't think so because man You had to know we was only 20 we was like a 20-minute cab ride So from what from Toronto? No, you know you tell her from the border once you cross the border. That ain't Toronto. You got a drive to say Hey, I I don't know, but they tell us we's in Toronto, so I took their word for it. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, Keeyon. I'm trying to forget, if you flew in for a game, y'all playing the Bills, what you were doing in Toronto? What's in Toronto? Oh, my bad, my bad, don't joke. My bad, hey, my bad.
Starting point is 00:17:37 It was all said. Hey, there you go, Keeyon, hey, there you go, my bad, my bad. Hey, that was a long time ago, I don't remember. I know. What's the name of the spot you went to? I don't remember. Yeah, you remember. You remember? I might be a go-dad, you know, this thing ain't old-out.
Starting point is 00:17:54 That was before you was born, Key. I can't even remember that, Key. I ain't gonna hold you. Oh, you just hit number four. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Everything was a blur. But let me ask you this, yeah, yeah, yeah. Everything was a blur. Mm-hmm. Let me ask you this. Your Seminoles.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Are you more Florida State or are you more Michigan State? Because your Florida, your Seminoles fell on hard time. This is your key. Man, I can't even answer that question. I mean, I spent more years at Michigan State than I did in Florida State. But Florida State was a real iconic seven, eight months that I was there. So I'm both. But Michigan State, you know, got a whole new culture.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I come from the West Coast. So it's a different program than when I was there. But, you know, some of my same guys still there in the weight room and stuff like that. So I'm also I'll be watching somewhere. But, you know, most of the guys that I was like my younger guys when there in the weight room and stuff like that. So I'm also, I'd be watching some what, but you know, most of the guys that I was like, my younger guys when I was there at different schools, so I watched different teams play. You still thank it, you still like, you supporting them.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Yeah, I support players more so, because teams change. You know, first coach all that team, that's like my favorite player was Kobe. If Kobe would have ever left, forget the Leafs. You know, first coach to all that change. I ain't, that's like my favorite player was Kobe. If Kobe would have ever left, forget the Leafs. You know? So that's just me. I root for my young guys that was under me and that I played with.
Starting point is 00:19:11 And you know, I got a guy out with them and I watch battle games. Now I ain't never really watched no battle games. But he there and he got different guys in different areas. I watch day games to support them. Hey, you, sometime you wear two mouthpieces, right? I know I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Yeah. What's that about? Where does that come from? Is that from Little League? Is that something you've always done? I remember seeing you do it in Florida State. If I'm not mistaken, you did it in the league too, right? I did it a few games, but man, about the time,
Starting point is 00:19:37 I forget, I don't even wear a mouthpiece in the game. Right, yeah. So I just, that happened. If I didn't put them on there before the game, then they probably wouldn't put it on. But at Florida State, I used have them and if I didn't put them on that before the game then they probably but that's gonna say that used to what Apple watch with the One whatever Apple watch band they used to send me the bad colors But the team and I just to wear like I just to be trolling wearing 18 colors They were like it was fine first and I did it but now everybody just throwing like random colors. It don't hit no thing
Starting point is 00:20:02 Okay, okay. Okay. All right. What is the is the whole team colors and look fine? Okay, I got you. I got you Are you are you a talker? Do you talk trash during the game? Do you like a bro? Hey? You about find yourself on the waiver while tomorrow trying to deal with me No, I'll be chilling bro. But if they say something to me then it's it's zero to a credit. Oh, yeah I just be bothering I come there to do my job, I'm a woo woo woo, but the moment you say something, it could be something nice. I don't wanna hear it, just don't talk.
Starting point is 00:20:31 We gonna be good. So you had you. But somebody say something, then I'm all 10. Now it's over. You had any issues with any DBs this year that really talk trash to you? Or was everybody kinda straight? No, only, only, uh, Wollin, Wollin,
Starting point is 00:20:44 only crushes y'all. And we seen how that? No, only, only, uh, willing, willing, only person said so. And we seen how that one ended, but, that mean shit, that was the only person really, really told me something all year. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Keyon, man, thanks for joining us tonight, bro. We really appreciate it. Continued success.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Hey, build on that rookie season. You got your sophomore season. Your quarterback's back in the fold. It's time to take that next step, bro. It's time to be, hey, when we talk about these top receivers, it's time to make sure Uncle Ocho have your name in the fold. It's time to take that next step, bro. It's time to be, hey, when we talk about these top receivers, it's time to make sure Uncle Ocho have your name in that discussion.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Yes, sir. I will, man, trust me. All right, congratulations on your rookie season. We'll see you down the road, man, take care. Hey, if you need a DB for some one-on-ones, let me know, I'll lock you up. Oh my God. Bring your cleats in, bring your cleats in. Let me know, I'll lock you up. Oh my God. Bring your cleats and bring 10 pounds.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Bring my cleats and what? Bring 10 pounds. We ain't gonna run the fuck around. Say nothing. I take what you do. You might as well wire that 10 to me, because if you ain't never seen my DB skills,
Starting point is 00:21:41 you ain't catching nothing. And make sure Josh Allen there, because I don't want no excuse to my I ain't have my quarterback. my sister can throw a long beat a open you know man for you know bump your head boy I'm a child of God don't do that you coming out here soon right what size you are well 11 all right I got some please put you I bring you your right you police for you. I'll bring you your own repeat. All right. You training in Houston? I'll be everywhere, whatever you need me to be.
Starting point is 00:22:07 No, I'll come now. I'll come now. I don't want to get those... Yeah, I don't like Miami for real. I'm not coming down there. You got to come see me in Texas. I come to Texas. Who's the quarterback?
Starting point is 00:22:15 All right. I don't want no excuse me. It don't matter. It don't matter. All right. A blind man can throw it. I'm that old. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Let's throw it. Okay. All right. Say less. I'ma see you in a minute. All right, bro. And congratulations again. See you down the road, bro. Ocho, Miles Garrett explained his change of heart. He had a John Q moment, a change of heart,
Starting point is 00:22:43 and explained why he's staying in Cleveland. I think I had some frustration, and I feel like that helped us grow and have a conversation where difficult, but needed to be had. That created a little more discourse, helped build some relationships and reaffirmed them. Now I feel like we're in a better place.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Now we can have, we can move on and grow from there. Despite Garrett's explanation, the perception surrounding his decision to stay remains. He was prioritizing money over winning. And NFL Network, Kyle Brandt said Garrett should have been more straightforward about role money played instead with the Browns. It was about money.
Starting point is 00:23:20 And the money said we want to win and we want to do it now. He was like, I got no problem with that. I have no problem. Oh Joe with him getting that kind of money Yeah, but he know how you gonna win now. You ain't got no quarterback Hold on you in the same position The only difference that miles Garrett is in now is that he got a hundred and twenty three million dollars guarantee A hundred million over the first three years. That is the only thing that has changed. Nothing has changed towards him winning. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Who they gonna win with, don't you? I have a question. Yes. You know, you understand, you know why you wanted to leave. You understand why you wanted to leave. You understood also when you asked to talk to management They told you we're not talking. They don't want to talk to you and we're not trying No, he's no the owner didn't want to have the conversation
Starting point is 00:24:13 He said talk to Andrew Barry who's the general manager who's running it? He won't fit in a conversation either because you know what we're gonna do. We know how to get you Don't want to be here. We're gonna pay you. Yes We're gonna pay you He had no more guaranteed money all the guaranteed money that he had signed that big contract that made him the highest-paid defender at one Point time was gone now Instead of pretending like I'm looking greedy and said asking for a contract. You know what I want to win and for true Yeah, I got no pouch. Oh, I look and I don't want anybody to take this the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:24:46 I really don't have a problem with that. Right. But everybody that's looking at this objectively and realistically knows that Miles Garrett is in no better situation today. The only better situation is financially. Yeah. He's in no better situation. They're not even close to winning.
Starting point is 00:25:02 But also, you got to think about it. Him wanting to trade and saying, I don't wanna be here, they wouldn't let them go anywhere. They wouldn't let them go. So, I mean, you stuck between a rock and a hard place because we not trained you. Oh Joe, he knew it. Listen, even when they wanna trade,
Starting point is 00:25:20 when players wanna get traded, sometimes they'll come to them and offer money. Hey, and guess what? Carson Palmer. Carson Palmer really wanted to be out of there since they couldn't offer him enough money, could they, Ocho? Now he refused to come. He, maybe he said it home.
Starting point is 00:25:33 That's when you want to get up out of there. Right. Yeah. Miles, it was always about money. Miles wanted more guaranteed money. Miles wanted to be the highest paid defender. I got no problem whatsoever. But I want people to objectively say,
Starting point is 00:25:49 you tell me that Miles Garrett is in a better situation and is in a situation that's more conducive to winning today than he was a month ago. Right. You know, I mean, we all understand that. We all understand that. That's all. But also, management doesn't want to lose that centerpiece You know, I mean we all understand that. We all understand that. That's all. Man, I go probably, get your money.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Get your money. But also, management, management doesn't wanna lose that centerpiece of that defense. Management doesn't wanna lose the identity to that defense. You know, that defense, it was good. It was good. I'm not sure what the numbers were last night,
Starting point is 00:26:18 but if you look at them across the board, they are good. Denzel Ward, Miles Garrett, along with the rest of the support. They can be as good as they want to. If your offense ain't no good, you ain't going nowhere. What are they going to do with the quarterback position? We will find out. Listen, we'll find out. Listen, we'll find out April. We're going to find out. We're going to find out April. You bring somebody young, you get a veteran presence in there to probably start this year, to at least give you a chance. Maybe Kirk Cousins, I'm not sure what's gonna happen, you know?
Starting point is 00:26:46 So I'm, listen, I'm just excited for every goddamn body. People getting their money. I just- I ain't got no problem with that, buddy. Yeah, I don't. I don't. But my thing is, now, unless you get one of these rookies and he's like Jayden Daniels, you really not going.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Now, look, it was reported that Russell Wilson was scheduled to visit. I saw it last week, so I don't know if that visit happened. Thursday, right? Last week? He was with the Giants first, or was last week? I think so. Chad, y'all can correct Ocho and I if we're wrong,
Starting point is 00:27:17 but I think I read it last week that he was supposed to have a visit to Cleveland and the Giants, and I don't know which day each visit was scheduled, but that's what I read. Now, the situation, it's also being reported, I don't know if there's any truth to this, that in the process of getting his money, he wanted him to work something out with Nick Chubb.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Right. I don't know. You read, I read, I don't know what's true. All I'm just saying what I read. And I hate that I brought that up because that was in the paper and we don't really know if what's true. All I'm just saying what I read. I don't I don't and I hate that I brought that up because That was in the paper and we don't really know if that's true. And if it is that was a very Noble and honorable thing to do. Yes, one of the guys that's been there as long as you had I think he came I think he came a year before No, he came a year after cuz I think he came with Baker
Starting point is 00:28:02 I think Chubb was the second round pick with Baker Mayfield I'm almost I'm almost sure that but he's been one of the leaders in the locker room He's been one of the leaders in the locker room and And And miles felt that he would he wanted it they're gonna win. I want I won't I won't show up to be a part of it Yeah He wanted it, they're gonna win. I want Chubb to be a part of it. Yeah, I like it. I like it. Chubb coming off of his second year at the ACLT,
Starting point is 00:28:31 I'm sure he's gonna have a better season this year. If we can get Chubb back to the Chubb we're used to seeing regardless of who's at the quarterback position, I think that makes things a little easier for them in that area simply because it's, to me it's almost a comparison I'm not saying in Derek Henry but he ain't too goddamn far off if you watch if you watch Nick Chugg play play over the years he ain't that far off on you know
Starting point is 00:28:55 what Oh Joe I just don't know I mean that was a serious injury that is coming back from yeah man and he had he injury. The second time. Yeah, in college. Yeah. So the determination, I just hope he can get some resemblance of being the back that he once was. Yes, yeah. Most times we don't see power backs.
Starting point is 00:29:17 We don't see power backs. It's been very few power backs have the longevity of Adrian Peterson, Derek Henry. We're talking about not contact, collision backs. Run to collision. They'll run you over. They're not really trying to run nobody. They're trying to punish you and make you turn it down because that tackle that you
Starting point is 00:29:40 make in the first and second quarter, you're going to be a little bit more apprehensive in the third and the fourth quarter. And if you notice, as the game progresses, those guys get stronger. Yeah. Yeah. Bro, you ain't gotta run on me but one time with a bust. I will dodge that bust the next time I see that mofo coming. Listen, every time, every time,
Starting point is 00:29:59 I've never seen a running back, there've been many of them, I've never seen a running back. There have been many of them. I've never seen a running back run as violently, as violently as all day, Adrian Peterson. I ain't never seen, Adrian Peterson, Marion Barber didn't have the same type of success or acceleration or, I'm not gonna lie. Didn't have the longevity. The longevity, but something about Adrian Peterson,
Starting point is 00:30:24 he played, what did they do wrong to you for you to run the ball like that? Angry! Beast Mode ran like that. Oh, I did a couple of times. Beast Mode had a long career. Yeah, he had a, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:39 But if you go back and look at the guy that comes to the top of my head, I don't know how many people in the chat all have to remember, was Earl Campbell. Earl was like that, but Earl only lasted like seven, eight years and I don't know if y'all have seen Earl. Earl has been in the wheelchair for the last 20, 25 years. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So Earl has done great off the field. He got a meat
Starting point is 00:31:02 packing, hot links and stuff like that, sausage and stuff like that. So he's done really well. But Earl ran to contact. He was a collision back, not a contact, because contact and collision are two different things. And normally those guys that run to have collisions, they don't have a longevity. Adrian Peterson played what, 12, 13 years. You see D. Henry play the number of years he's playing.
Starting point is 00:31:29 I mean, he went for 2,000. He was on a pace to have another 2,000 yard. He got hurt at rushing for about 1,100 with eight games to go. So he was on pace to get another. Had a knee injury. Bounces back from that, go get 1,500. Comes to the Ravens, go to get 1,900 a knee injury, bounce it back from that, go get 1500, come to the Ravens,
Starting point is 00:31:46 go to get 1900. That's crazy. I've never seen anything like Derrick Henry. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like Derrick Henry. A guy runs like that, that goes over 2000, and then comes within 80 yards from having 2000 again. Right. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:07 It absolutely is. But hopefully Chubb can get some of what he lost, Ocho, from that injury, because you know every time, Ocho, them injuries, they take a little bit out of you every time. It does. Take a little bit out of you every time. Yeah. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 00:32:24 But listen, even as a bangle fan, I would love, I would love the Browns at full strength and whatever decisions they do make, whether it be in offseason acquisitions, whether it be through the draft, I would love them at full strength when they do play my bangles so there are no excuses about, oh we didn't have a quarterback or our running back was hurt. I want to make sure Myles Garrett is there when we put up 50 points. I want them at full strength. I'm sure we have people in the chat that are Browns fans.
Starting point is 00:32:51 I love you. I love you dearly. I love you dearly. But come this season, we know who's running the AFC North. I know you have Ravens fans. Who? Ravens. I know we have Ravens fans in the chat.
Starting point is 00:33:07 And you know how I feel about you. And I tell you this, I'm gonna tell you this. Ravens plot. 2001. I love every last one of you. Huh? Every last one of you. Oh, y'all ain't one but a handful of games, damn.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Let me finish my speech. We know this year, 2025, the AFC North is coming through the 513. Now if you need me to come sit with y'all at MNT Bank, what's it called? MNT Bank? Yeah. Yeah. What's the area code of Raven? 443? Yeah, anybody from BMO in the chat? What is it, 443? I know we got Ravens fans in the chat. Definitely. Definitely. I love every last one. Y'all don't run nothing. First of all, we already know Cincinnati don't run nothing but they rock, mile. Y'all don't run nothing. Ain't nothing coming through no Cincinnati. Stop that. One thing that you can learn about my organization, that you see that we proved we made we've done something
Starting point is 00:34:05 historical that we've never done before that was out of character. Fourteen. That's right. Fourteen. Fourteen. What's that? Baltimore. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, it is 443. I remember. Yeah. I used to have a, I ain't never had no rabies. I think I had a landline. I did have a landline But that was time that was 20 years man. Hold up first of all, Ocho You make you see I had a landline yesterday Had I was 20 years ago without the Baltimore, but the way you the way you said it like it yesterday So you don't have a you don't have a landline in your house right now. No Why not?
Starting point is 00:34:41 in your house right now? No. Why not? Who gonna call me on the landline? People call you on your cell phone. Oh, yeah, I was just asking. I was just asking, when the last time you seen the payphone? MJ, what I get? Y'all been with this right here?
Starting point is 00:35:03 Hey, hey. I can't see it. That's a new kid. That's a new kid. That's a new kid. That's B and O. Oh, who? Hello?
Starting point is 00:35:14 Yeah. Yeah. Baby. Yeah. Yeah. Get your mouth. Carpet. Tall.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Big booty. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh Baby yeah, yeah Carbon tall big booty. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah That's all I saw she got my two kids out there. Yeah Hey, hold on hold on hold on just let me call you back. There's my hold on. Let me call you back. This is my brother calling. Let me call you back.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Hey, let me get that right there. Hey, that's just how conversation be going too, huh? Yeah. Look at that. Look at that right here. Look at that right here. Who that again, control? That's us?
Starting point is 00:36:00 Who that again, control? That's us? Yeah, that's y'all. And guess what? They ain't got no control. Who that again, Coach O? That's us? Who that again, Coach O? That's us? Yeah, that's y'all. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:36:10 In the air's on our win. Who is? What number's that? What number's that? That bangle jersey. I don't know. What we call a rerun. You remember how rerun was chasing that truck on what's happening?
Starting point is 00:36:22 Right. That's him. That's him. That's him. That's my rookie, ain't it? I don't think you was there yet, Ocho. Okay. That end, October 7, 2001, that is you. That's your rookie.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I was there. I'm trying, I wonder what Darnay and P. Dove did that game. Nothing, nothing, not a damn thing. I don't know about that. Nothing. I don't know about that. I know. I know nothing. They ain't do nothing. Who won the game? I lost one game in 14 years to the Bengals. Did I score? I don't think so. Y'all beat, y'all beat, when we came to y'all, y'all beat us, I think y'all beat us by like three points.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Yeah, that would be, that would be, that would be. I got a problem. I don't got no problem with what miles Garrett. I just think the thing was that was his play all along He played it perfectly. Yeah, he played it. He played it perfectly Right he did Look at it right here. Oh Joe What's that? I know there's not a camcorder. Hey, you better know it. Hey, you know as soon as I seen the bag I knew what it was, huh? Hey, I know you went to free me.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Hey, hey, be like Spike Lee, do the right thing. So you was there? You...huh? You was there? Was I? I wanna see the footage. No, you can't do this, Ocho. No? Mm-mm. All things will stop.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Everything. Hey, I... Hey, boy, I could imagine, boy. This going right back to the vault. I could imagine. You still got an ECR? No. I bet you ain't got no CD player.
Starting point is 00:38:40 No, but I got a bunch of cell phones upstairs. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. A bunch of them. I'm talking about, I gotta keep all my cell phones. I bet you ain't got no sidekick. Nah, I wasn't in the sidekick, so I ain't gonna lie to you. You had a Beaver, a Pager? Nope. I bet you ain't got the Motorola block phone.
Starting point is 00:39:01 I do got, it's in Glenville. I got the big one and the boost copy. I got the Star Tech. I got a bunch of phones upstairs. Okay, okay, okay. Hold on just a second. Keep on talking. Let me go upstairs right quick. Hold on. Alright, chat. Listen, chat, while he goes upstairs and then and rummages through all the stuff from the 80s. And I want to talk about my bangles. I want to talk about banglesles and I want to tell y'all what's going to happen this year. Now I've always been right when it comes to predicting stuff and I'm rarely wrong. I am rarely wrong. Now I think about last year, I was wrong twice in a 17, 18 game season, including the playoffs. I guessed the playoffs all the way right.
Starting point is 00:39:39 I said the Eagles are probably going to win the Super Bowl. Again, they were going to play the Chiefs. Boom, I was right. So this year, the AFC North is going to go through Cincinnati. It's gonna go through Cincinnati. So what's gonna happen, the way it's gonna play out is, we're probably going to score 40 to 50 points a game. 40 to 50 points a game,
Starting point is 00:39:59 and our defense is gonna be adequate and just good enough to stop teams maybe allowing maybe 17 to 20 points a game. That's how it's gonna go. I'm not telling you what I heard, I'm telling you what I know because it's the way the game goes and just the way things are flowing in general. For us as an organization,
Starting point is 00:40:19 to do something that's never been done before, that's out of character for us as a team and organization, it's going to reward ourselves. The football gods are going to reward us simply because we did something that we've never done before and we made history. Okay? I think, I think, now I don't have the numbers in front of me, it's possible that we can sign Trey Hendrickson.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I think it's possible. And so we're going to do that. Now that's one staple, you know, that's one staple that we can have as part of the ecosystem defensively. If we can get that back. You know, I'm not sure. Secondary, we got some good dudes out there on the corner safety. I'm not sure what's going on with Vaughn and some of the safeties or whatnot. But outside of that, if you're a gambler man,
Starting point is 00:41:09 if there any gambler women in the chat, I'm telling you now, put your money, put your money on the bangles, all right? We're gonna be in San Francisco and I'm gonna meet y'all there sometime in February. And that's it. Outside of that, I hope y'all had a good Monday. I had a great Monday.
Starting point is 00:41:26 You see my jacket. This is a leopard or cheetah, I'm not sure. They all look the same. Hello, I love y'all. I don't know what else to say right now. Oh, man. Oh Joe, this the only one I can find. You remember this one?
Starting point is 00:41:42 That's a razor. That's a razor. A StarTag. StarTag, right? See, I knew it was either razor or StarTag, one is the only one I can fire at. You remember this one? That's a Razor. That's a Razor. A StarTag. StarTag, right? See, I knew it was either Razor or StarTag, one or the other. Shail, y'all got this. The antenna come up, right?
Starting point is 00:41:51 Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember them. I remember them. I remember that. I remember that. Yeah. We a beeper at. I ain't have no beeper.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Oh yeah, I still got... But I gotta get Shail. I'm weird that I have them, Ocho, cause I know Shelly put them somewhere. But I gotta get them. I'm weird that I have them Ocho because I know Shelly put them somewhere but I got about I think Ochocho same one up. Shelly put them somewhere but I got like 17. got the original uh iPod you remember the iPod that hold 10,000 songs? Oh the big the big thick one yes I got I got all my HBCU band music on that whole iPod I'll tell you it was thick too boy yeah I
Starting point is 00:42:37 got it hey I keep everything old MacBook Hey, what you be doing with all that man? I'll let nothing go Hey, you see the big computer behind me on Joe I get what you just talked to hey listen You can have a yard sale and make a grip boy. Oh, no He's gonna sell it. No Mm-hmm. So I don't want nobody to get no information off here. Oh no. Uh uh. Uh uh. Oh no. I ain't get nothing. What you got on there? You acting like 007 then? There ain't no. I don't know. I don't know what's on there. Okay. Okay. But I tell you what ain't nobody else gonna find out what's on there either. I got you, I got you. You don't wanna slip up, huh?
Starting point is 00:43:29 No, I want everything I told you, Ocho. Yeah. I don't need a crane in my casket to carry my casket. Six can't do it. Too many skeletons. Too many secrets, Ocho, too many secrets. I got you, I got you, I got you. Uh, oh, DJ Hoosbazada, Ocho, you had three catches for 28 yards. Wait, I only had three for 28?
Starting point is 00:44:04 Yep. Damn, I'm had only had three I only had three to 28. Yep Damn, I'm sorry. Is here. I have more than you. I had three for 32. Oh, I thought I caught a touchdown that game Now you can't not and you got yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you got tackled on that play That might have been that was that was my uh, that was my uh That was my first year in Baltimore. I caught a touch that look at 2000 Ash. I thought I cut a touchdown of them Travis Taylor had four for 66. I had three for 32 Codre had three for 31 Brandon Stokely had one for 23 Todd. He had one for 18 Williams had two for five, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Ocho, you averaged 10 yards to catch. Nine, 9.3. Y'all had 153 yards. What, offense? Yeah, passing. Oh, that's bad. Yep. TJ Ledger was 63. You was next with 28.
Starting point is 00:45:03 That's me, that's me, that's me. I was just gonna say I would get... Yarn this guy had one for 20. Danny Farmer had two for 16. Corey had two for 12. Peter Warrick had one for seven. Ron Duggins had one for four. And Lorenzo Neil had one for three. Hey, Zo! Oh, Zo. I saw... As a matter of fact, I just saw him at the Super Bowl, Ocho. Zo? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Yeah, that's my guy, man. Lorenzo a funny boy. Oh yeah, yeah in 2000 I scored. Half five for 40 in the tub. That wasn't me. Well, only we won the game though. Y'all didn't win though. Y'all actually...hold on. Pull up, hey, uh, Ash. Pull up Cincinnati's totals. I guarantee we won that game. Pull up their total. I don't think y'all, y'all might have not have scored. Don't do that. I definitely...
Starting point is 00:45:57 Boy, we not, boy, they not, go back and look at that film and watch Ron Burnett. If y'all see the highlights, go back and look at that here in 2000, Ron Burnett put on Achille Smith. He about to not play no more that year. Well, he must have caught him from the blind side, huh? Boy, hey, caught him. Hey, he was looking just like this. No, he was like this, and Ron Burnett, he put his helmet right up on his chin.
Starting point is 00:46:21 coming right up on the chin. ["Bangles and T-Higgins," by The Bachelorette, playing in background.] Breaking news, Bangles, Jamar, Chase, and T-Higgins exclusively tell me they've agreed to a contract extension with the team. Jamar gets four years, 161 million, with 112 million guaranteed, making it the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. T Higgins gets four years 115 with the first two years guaranteed making him the highest paid wide receiver two in NFL history. Wow. Congratulations brother Jamar Chase, brother T Higgins. They got that deal done. Joe Burrow, I know Joe is happy, very happy to keep that unit together.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Obviously, I didn't think it would be possible. I didn't think it would be possible. Obviously, I can't break down the numbers right now in front of me, but the fact that Joe was able to keep the two main targets. The guys, the guys. Yeah, keep the two main guys together, man, is a really good thing.
Starting point is 00:47:27 And that's a step in the right direction for us. And finishing what we need to, and get back to the promised land at the end of the season. So I'm happy for them, I'm excited. And kudos to the Blackburn family, to Mike Brown, in getting that done. And let's get some work on that defense end now. Yeah, I don't see how they pay Trey Henderson.
Starting point is 00:48:00 He wants north of 30 million. Right. Yeah. I don't see how. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just don't see how. Do you think it's possible to still pay trade? Well, what do you think? I mean, that's tying all the money up and just in- Yes, he's going north of 30.
Starting point is 00:48:22 Right. A man has 35 sacks in two years. Nobody has that many sacks in the past two years. Right. He's been a pro bowler both years. I just don't, like I said, it could have happened. Yes. And the question is that you have to ask yourself,
Starting point is 00:48:36 Ocho, is the opportunity to go to a Super Bowl, potentially winning over the next two years, is that worth potentially being a salary cap held in 27, 28? Right. This is about 25, 26, this is what this is about. Right. Well, you know, listen, there's a way you can get out of salary cap held
Starting point is 00:49:02 is by continuing to restructure those that have large contracts. Yeah, but all you're doing is kicking it down the road. You're kicking it down the road because that balloon baby going to come through now. Oh, at some point. At some point. But hey, congratulations. I know all on, listen, I know my Bangle fans, I know y'all happy man, Zim Hude, I love you. The deal has gotten done. I'm excited. I'm happy for both of them.
Starting point is 00:49:31 I just want to make sure we do what we need to do on the defense end of the ball, where we had our problems, our issues offensively, and just start late, just start late in the beginning of the season. We need to fix that, fix that, I think we're going to be all right. But we need to work on that defense side of the ball and get some off-season acquisitions in, some help on defense. And I think we're going to be all right. All right. Yeah. Hootay. But Jay Brooks breaking news, Higgins and Chase are back. I mean, let's see, 41 to 71, Joe Burrow. So that's $126 million annually tied up in three players. That's a lie.
Starting point is 00:50:20 How much is that tied between two, huh? 55 million for Joe, 41 for Chase, 30 for Higgins. OK. That's good, too. That's 126 million. I like that. I didn't mean to. That means if you sign Hendrickson,
Starting point is 00:50:41 that's over 150 million. So you'll have half your cap, over half your cap in four players. I just don't see how to do it. We'll see how they do it. Hold on. I think it's going to pay off. This is something,
Starting point is 00:50:59 have the Bengals ever rolled the dice like this before? No. Has Mike Brown ever rolled the dice? No. If it won't rolled the dice? No. If it won't change, sometimes you have to do things different. The definition of insanity and doing the same thing over and over and over and over
Starting point is 00:51:12 and getting the same results and expecting something to change, the fact that he's willing to change, the fact that the Blackburn family and the Mike Brown family are willing to do something different, it lets you know, all right, you know what? We are intent on winning.
Starting point is 00:51:28 We're intent on winning and doing what's necessary to make sure we do. For one, to contend in AFC North and then further ourselves in the playoffs when the time comes. I like it. I like it. I'm excited. I'm excited. I saw T. T. Higg I'm excited. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I saw T. Higgins just tweeted, T. Higgins just tweeted the handshake, handshake emoji. That's dope. That's tight. That's tight. I'm happy. I'm excited. Yeah. So when we went to AFC North, you know why. It happened. Did the Rape is trade L jack? Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's, this,
Starting point is 00:52:05 this is not what we gonna, this is what we not gonna do, this is not what we gonna do. The AFC North, this year, I'm not talking about what's happened in the past, I'm talking about this year, it's running through Cincinnati, it's running through 513, I'm just letting you know ahead of time. No one has ever said the road to the Super Bowl
Starting point is 00:52:25 goes through Cincinnati. You know what? And you know what happened? No one has ever seen Mike Brown and Troy and Katie do what they've done today. Okay. Okay, all right. Ocho, there has reportedly been quite the vibe shift
Starting point is 00:52:43 for wide receiver Garrett Wilson after the New York Jets moved on from Aaron Rodgers and added Justin Fields this offseason. Wilson has told friends he's thrilled with the addition of Fields. ESPN's Rich Cimini wrote Sunday, it's no secret that he and Rodgers didn't see eye to eye last season, but now he has a quarterback he knows and respects. They've maintained a good relationship. Another reason Wilson said to be excited about 2025. In December, the NFL Networks in Rappaport reported all is not well with Rodgers and Wilson
Starting point is 00:53:18 and added that probably there have been questions regarding whether Rodgers and Wilson can find common ground since they had a blow up during training camp, which I tried to tell Ocho. Ocho said don't worry about that. Yeah, I didn't think it would be anything bad because I've had those same kind of talks with John Kidd and I've had those same talks with Carson Palmer. But not every day. Oh, not every day. I thought it was just that one clip. No, you saw them talking every day. Yeah, most of the time I think they weren't able
Starting point is 00:53:45 to get on the same page. Aaron Rodgers wanted things done a certain way and Garrett Wilson was kind of complaining. Whatever it may have been, it didn't work out. I liked the fact that he had Justin Fields. And I know one thing, goddamn Fields gonna get that ball to brother Wilson. He gonna feed it to him
Starting point is 00:54:02 and they gonna find ways to get him back where he was his rookie season. Yeah. Where he's very productive. Cause after this season, hey, they got to come see, they got to come see five with that bag man. Yeah. They got to come see five with that bag.
Starting point is 00:54:17 He's the top 10 receiver in the NFL right now. He didn't look like it from a productive standpoint last year because the offense was in disarray, but he gonna get back to that. This is Justin Fields year two. Justin Fields can make himself some good money. You know if he have a good season, huh? They'll redo it. If he have himself a good season and they'd be like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:54:37 This is the quarterback of the future for us. And he play how I think he should play. Now that you have nothing to worry about behind you you ain't got to worry about nobody taking your spot all you have to do is just play football freely and just focus this is your team this could be your team they can hand you the keys. Coach O I just found it odd that Garrett Wilson was offensive rookie of the year and looked better with Zach Wilson and those guys
Starting point is 00:55:10 than he did with Aaron Rodgers. I just found it odd. What quarterback? Who is it? Zach Wilson, I think he had Joe Flacco, Mike White. I think he had a couple of different quarterbacks. And the guy was offensive rookie ofookie of the Year, Ocho. Zach Wilson, that was the guy, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:55:29 So look, and sometimes, like you said, Rogers was used to doing things a certain way and that way, you know, at the end of the day, we got to get a week. Look, if we're trying to do the same thing, they have to be a give and take. Right. Okay, I understand that you,
Starting point is 00:55:44 but I can't do everything that you want. I need you to meet me. Can we meet in the middle? Somewhere halfway. Can we meet in the middle? You gotta be on the same page, huh? Yeah. You gotta be.
Starting point is 00:55:54 I'm not saying, look, I'm not saying I can't, I'm not saying that we can't go to brunch, but can we not, do we have to go to brunch every Sunday? Of every month, of every week? Mm-hmm. Can we like just stay home and can I watch the games? Yeah. I mean, there has to be a happy medium somewhere, Ojo. I understand who you are, but understand that look, am I as accomplished as you?
Starting point is 00:56:18 No. No. But don't think I'm not fair to cheat. I'm not fair to cheat around this much. Come on now. Yeah, you're right. You're right. But don't think I'm not fair to cheat around this much. Come on now. Yeah, you're right. You're right. You got to be on the same page.
